- 0:00Speaker 1: Air raid sirens going off and Kivas, Russia is warning
- 0:04Speaker 1: of more attacks. Welcome, it is nice to have you
- 0:07Speaker 1: with us as we are dealing with this conflict and Ukrainians.
- 0:11Speaker 1: President Zelenski received a standing ovation after delivering an emotional
- 0:17Speaker 1: speech to the EU Parliament on the ongoing conflict between
- 0:21Speaker 1: Russia and Ukraine. Now, I want to warn you about
- 0:25Speaker 1: something that's happening as well. We are seeing drumbeats of
- 0:28Speaker 1: America wanting an involvement in this war. Do not fall
- 0:34Speaker 1: for this. Why is this happening? It's extremely simple. The
- 0:39Speaker 1: Biden administration right now realizes that this is their opportunity
- 0:44Speaker 1: to get out from under the horrific job approval numbers
- 0:48Speaker 1: they have. Right now, this is an opportunity for Democratic
- 0:51Speaker 1: candidates to not have to talk about what they did
- 0:54Speaker 1: to this country with lockdowns and mandates. Look at what
- 0:58Speaker 1: happened right before, hours before the state of the Union.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Capital has quote ditched the mask requirements, the same mask
- 1:05Speaker 1: requirements where they were finding members of Congress thousands and
- 1:08Speaker 1: thousands of dollars for not wearing a mask, and all
- 1:11Speaker 1: of a sudden, the Capital's like, all right, get rid
- 1:13Speaker 1: of those mask requirements. Real quick. We don't want you
- 1:14Speaker 1: of that to stay the Union. Tonight, people being escorted
- 1:17Speaker 1: out for not wearing a mask because they were told
- 1:19Speaker 1: there was going to be Republican members of Congress that
- 1:22Speaker 1: we're going to protest, and they didn't want that. So
- 1:28Speaker 1: the state of the Union is all about Ukraine. Get
- 1:31Speaker 1: rid of the masks, mandates real fast. Make all this
- 1:33Speaker 1: COVID stuff disappear in America right now, because the American
- 1:37Speaker 1: people have turned on us, and this is our chance
- 1:41Speaker 1: to get out from under it. Now, there's another thing
- 1:43Speaker 1: that's happening and it makes me extremely angry, and that
- 1:46Speaker 1: is Democrats are now really starting to push this drumbeat
- 1:51Speaker 1: for going to war. We should not go to war
- 1:53Speaker 1: with Russia. We should not implement a no fly zone
- 1:57Speaker 1: and put us into World War three. Already know that
- 2:00Speaker 1: Vladimir Putin has threatened nuclear reward. Do we really want
- 2:04Speaker 1: to go down that path? Now? They're Democrats that are
- 2:06Speaker 1: pushing for this now, and they're pushing it for pushing
- 2:09Speaker 1: it for one reason, one reason only. They need a
- 2:12Speaker 1: distraction from what's happening in this country. They need a
- 2:18Speaker 1: distraction from their failure in this country. That's exactly why
- 2:22Speaker 1: Joe Biden is now going to look like, you know, hey,
- 2:24Speaker 1: everything it's Ukraine or bust. I also want to remind
- 2:28Speaker 1: you of how scumbaggy these people are who are now,
- 2:31Speaker 1: you know, acting like we need to stand up for
- 2:33Speaker 1: the people in the Ukraine. These are the same people
- 2:35Speaker 1: that said at all costs, we must get out of Afghanistan,
- 2:40Speaker 1: leaving Americans behind. These are the same scumbags that when
- 2:44Speaker 1: Americans were sixty feet away, they didn't save their lives.
- 2:47Speaker 1: These are the same scumbags it allowed for people to
- 2:50Speaker 1: be tortured and butchered in Ukraine. They were butchered, they
- 2:55Speaker 1: were beheaded, they were dismembered because they worked with America
- 2:59Speaker 1: for twenty years, many of them translators and things like that. Again,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I cannot tell you how much these people are scumbags.
- 3:09Speaker 1: They are scumbags. The same democrats that said we must
- 3:14Speaker 1: not be in war are now beating the drum to
- 3:17Speaker 1: go to war because they know politically it will help them.
- 3:22Speaker 1: These are the same ones that said we must get
- 3:24Speaker 1: out of Afghanistan all costs, and there was no easy
- 3:26Speaker 1: way to get out of Afghanistan, and getting out of
- 3:27Speaker 1: Afghanistan was just going to be tough. It was just
- 3:31Speaker 1: gonna be hard, and that's just the way it was
- 3:33Speaker 1: gonna be, and we couldn't. There was no way to
- 3:35Speaker 1: do it in an organized manner. We just had to
- 3:37Speaker 1: leave no matter what. Same people that said we shouldn't
- 3:39Speaker 1: have kept Bagram Airbase, same people that said that, start
- 3:42Speaker 1: taking orders from the Taliban when we clearly could have
- 3:46Speaker 1: bombed the Taliban and said we're not going to allow
- 3:49Speaker 1: you to do what you're doing right now. We're not
- 3:52Speaker 1: going to allow you to do this. The same people
- 3:54Speaker 1: that did that, Okay, the same people that did that
- 3:58Speaker 1: are now the ones saying, well, maybe we should get
- 4:00Speaker 1: involved in Ukraine. Ask yourself the question why I am
- 4:05Speaker 1: in favor of helping the people in Ukraine with weaponry.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I'm in favor of helping them with sanctions, and we
- 4:11Speaker 1: need to do more on sanctions. I want to make
- 4:13Speaker 1: that very clear. We must do more with sanctions. We
- 4:18Speaker 1: need to open up the Keystone pipeline, which again, of
- 4:21Speaker 1: course Joe Biden the Left are going to say no
- 4:23Speaker 1: to that. We should, We absolutely should, but they're not
- 4:28Speaker 1: going to move for that. You know that, and I
- 4:30Speaker 1: know that we should ban Russian oil. We should not
- 4:34Speaker 1: be buying it every day, but we are, and we
- 4:38Speaker 1: are the ones that allowed them financially to get the
- 4:40Speaker 1: point where he thought he could pull this off. Now,
- 4:43Speaker 1: the number of war crimes that are happening right now
- 4:46Speaker 1: is skyrocketing, and people need to understand that what is
- 4:49Speaker 1: happening right now is Vladimir Putin is doing what Russia
- 4:52Speaker 1: has had a history of doing. They attack civilians, they
- 4:55Speaker 1: attack hospitals, they attack nursing homes, they attack children. They
- 4:59Speaker 1: just don't care. This is Vladimir Putin right now, and
- 5:04Speaker 1: they are going to start doing this, and they're going
- 5:07Speaker 1: to start carpet bombing these areas, and they're going to say, well,
- 5:10Speaker 1: we warned you. Now you should be angry. But does
- 5:12Speaker 1: that mean that we should be drug into a war
- 5:14Speaker 1: with Russia World War three? No. But when you see
- 5:19Speaker 1: these democrats on TV talking big and bold about well,
- 5:22Speaker 1: we need to stop them, we need to fight them,
- 5:24Speaker 1: and we need to do all of these different things
- 5:26Speaker 1: right that they say that we need to do. I
- 5:29Speaker 1: want you to go back and look at those same
- 5:31Speaker 1: people and what they were saying about pulling out of Afghanistan,
- 5:35Speaker 1: leaving Americans and our allies behind, taking orders from the Taliban.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I want you to go back, and I want you
- 5:41Speaker 1: to look at that. I want you to go back,
- 5:44Speaker 1: and I want you to see what those same leaders
- 5:46Speaker 1: were saying about our debacle and the demise of America
- 5:50Speaker 1: and our foreign policy in Afghanistan, which allowed, by the way,
- 5:54Speaker 1: for what's happening in Russia to happen right now. All
- 5:59Speaker 1: of this goes back to Afghanistan. I've said it before
- 6:02Speaker 1: and I'll say it again. Vladimir Putin when he saw
- 6:05Speaker 1: that we wouldn't move sixty feet to get our own,
- 6:07Speaker 1: when we wouldn't protect the people that help defend and
- 6:10Speaker 1: protect us and save American lives for twenty years as
- 6:13Speaker 1: interpreters and their family members, When he saw that we
- 6:16Speaker 1: were willing to take orders from the Taliban, he understood
- 6:20Speaker 1: he had an opportunity to take over Ukraine. He underestimated
- 6:24Speaker 1: the people in Ukraine. He underestimated people like Zelensky that
- 6:29Speaker 1: refused to flee the country. He underestimated the grandmothers and
- 6:33Speaker 1: the grandfathers and the people that said I'm okay with dying.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I've lived a good life and I'm not going to
- 6:38Speaker 1: allow my kids or my grandkids to grow up under
- 6:41Speaker 1: communist rule. I'm not going to allow my kids to
- 6:45Speaker 1: grow up under Vladimir Putin. That I'm not going to
- 6:48Speaker 1: allow to happen. That is something I refuse to allow
- 6:53Speaker 1: it to happen. I will die and not retreat from
- 6:57Speaker 1: my country. I will die defending my home. He did
- 7:03Speaker 1: underestimate that. Now. I think anything we can do to
- 7:06Speaker 1: support the people through sanctions we should do. But do
- 7:11Speaker 1: not get played here. Do not get played the way
- 7:18Speaker 1: that they're trying to play you. Do not allow them
- 7:21Speaker 1: to pull us into World War three. We do not
- 7:24Speaker 1: need to get in World War three right now with Russia,
- 7:28Speaker 1: who has nuclear weapons and a guy who has actually
- 7:30Speaker 1: threatened to use those nuclear weapons. Remember, he has threatened
- 7:36Speaker 1: the entire world with nuclear weapons. I do believe that
- 7:40Speaker 1: he is a madman. I want to make that very clear.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I believe that he's someone that should not be trusted.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I want to make that also very clear. I believe
- 7:50Speaker 1: that he is an individual that is someone that we
- 7:52Speaker 1: should be very concerned about. I believe that he is
- 7:55Speaker 1: someone that you cannot trust. I believe that he is
- 8:00Speaker 1: an individual that is erratic, and I believe that he
- 8:04Speaker 1: will do anything that he can to try to kill
- 8:08Speaker 1: innocent people to hold and control power in his country.
- 8:12Speaker 1: We know the oligarchs are leaving, we know that they're
- 8:15Speaker 1: trying to grab cash anywhere they can. We know that
- 8:18Speaker 1: the economy is getting decimated. But I'm not sure that's
- 8:21Speaker 1: enough for Vladimir Putin. Because Vladimir Putin has what he needs.
- 8:25Speaker 1: He doesn't care if the people suffer. In fact, I'm
- 8:27Speaker 1: not even sure he cares that the oligarchs suffer. To
- 8:30Speaker 1: be totally honest with you, I think he is fine
- 8:35Speaker 1: with the oligarch suffering because he thinks I gave you
- 8:38Speaker 1: all this and you can deal with a little downside
- 8:40Speaker 1: for a little bit. But when you hear people saying
- 8:45Speaker 1: what they're saying right now on the left that you know,
- 8:47Speaker 1: maybe we should get involved in war. No, absolutely not.
- 8:50Speaker 1: We should not go to war with Russia. We should
- 8:53Speaker 1: not get into World War three. President Zelenski received a
- 8:58Speaker 1: standing ovation, as I mentioned earlier, after they're delivering an
- 9:00Speaker 1: emotional speech the EU Parliament. Now I'm going to play
- 9:04Speaker 1: part of this for you because I want you to
- 9:05Speaker 1: hear what he had to say, and I think it's
- 9:07Speaker 1: very important that you're going to hear his words. I
- 9:12Speaker 1: speak today now about my citizens, citizen of Ukraine, who
- 9:17Speaker 1: are defending by paying the ultimate price, they defending freedom.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm very happy that what I've seen here now and
- 9:34Speaker 1: heard here now, I'm very glad to sense this mood,
- 9:40Speaker 1: the uniting, unifying mood. I'm happy that we have unifying
- 9:44Speaker 1: today all of you, all the countries of the European Union.
- 9:47Speaker 1: But I did not know. But this is that this
- 9:50Speaker 1: is the price they will have to pay. And it's
- 9:53Speaker 1: a tragedy for me to tragedy for every Ukrainian tragedy,
- 9:56Speaker 1: for our state. I mean this this high price, very
- 10:00Speaker 1: high praise. Thousands of people who were killed, two revolutions,
- 10:06Speaker 1: one wall, and five days of full scale invasion of
- 10:13Speaker 1: the Russian Federation. You know, I am, I'm not. I
- 10:26Speaker 1: don't read off the paper, off the sheet, because the
- 10:32Speaker 1: paper phase in the life of my country has ended.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Now we're dealing with reality. We're dealing with killed people,
- 10:41Speaker 1: real life, you know, and you know I believe that
- 10:49Speaker 1: we're today we're giving lives for values, for rights, for freedom,
- 10:57Speaker 1: for the desire to be equal as much as you are.
- 11:01Speaker 1: We are giving away our best people, the strongest ones,
- 11:07Speaker 1: the most value based ones, Ukrainians are incredible and very
- 11:15Speaker 1: often we love to say that we will win over everyone.
- 11:22Speaker 1: And I'm very happy that you are not only talking
- 11:25Speaker 1: about it, but you can see that and we indeed
- 11:29Speaker 1: we will overcome everyone. And I'm sure I'm convinced there
- 11:36Speaker 1: is an expression Ukrainian choice, European choice of Ukraine. That's
- 11:44Speaker 1: we're striving for and that's what we're going to and
- 11:47Speaker 1: we went to So I would like to hear that
- 11:53Speaker 1: from you to us, we could hear um the Ukrainian
- 12:03Speaker 1: choice for Europe from you. I have some time off
- 12:11Speaker 1: here because we have breaks between the missile strikes and
- 12:17Speaker 1: bombardonist and this morning was a very tragic one for
- 12:20Speaker 1: us to cruise missiles hit Hierarchies, the city, which is
- 12:27Speaker 1: located to the borders of the Russian Federation. There were
- 12:30Speaker 1: always many Russians there and they're always friendly and there
- 12:34Speaker 1: were warm relations there. More than twenty universities are there.
- 12:39Speaker 1: It's the city that has the largest number of universities
- 12:43Speaker 1: in our country. The youth is bright, smart there. The
- 12:50Speaker 1: people who gathered there all the time and was gathering
- 12:53Speaker 1: there all the time for celebrating all celebrations at the
- 12:57Speaker 1: largest square in our country the Freedom Square. And this
- 13:03Speaker 1: is the largest square in Europe. And that's true, this
- 13:07Speaker 1: is called the Freedom Square. Can you imagine this morning
- 13:10Speaker 1: two cruise missiles hit this Freedom Square, dozens of killed ones.
- 13:19Speaker 1: This is the price of freedom. We're fighting just for
- 13:27Speaker 1: our land and for our freedom. Just bite the fact
- 13:36Speaker 1: that all cities of our country are now blocked. Nobody
- 13:42Speaker 1: is going to enter and intervene with our freedom and country.
- 13:46Speaker 1: And believe you mean, every square up today, no matter
- 13:51Speaker 1: what it's called, it's going to be called as today
- 13:55Speaker 1: freedom Square in every city of our country. Nobody's going
- 14:01Speaker 1: to break us. We're strong where Ukrainians we have a
- 14:09Speaker 1: desire to see our children alive. I think it's a
- 14:16Speaker 1: fair one. Yesterday sixteen children were killed. Again and again
- 14:23Speaker 1: President Putting is going to say that is some kind
- 14:26Speaker 1: of operation. And we are heating a military infrastructure where
- 14:30Speaker 1: our children. What kind of military factors do they work at?
- 14:36Speaker 1: What tanks are they going with or launching cruise missiles?
- 14:41Speaker 1: He killed sixteen people just yesterday. Do our people are
- 14:54Speaker 1: very much motivated, very much so we're fighting our rights,
- 15:01Speaker 1: for our freedoms. This is the Ukrainian President Zelenski speaking
- 15:06Speaker 1: to the European Union. You can hear the translator, and
- 15:09Speaker 1: again I don't usually play something like this, but it's
- 15:12Speaker 1: so important that you hear directly from Presidents Zelensky. I'm
- 15:15Speaker 1: going to continue. Let listen it for life, for our life,
- 15:18Speaker 1: and now we're boring for we're fighting for survival and
- 15:24Speaker 1: this is the highest of our motivation. But we are
- 15:28Speaker 1: fighting also to be equal members of Europe. I believe
- 15:36Speaker 1: that today we are showing everybody that's exactly what we are.
- 15:45Speaker 1: The European Union is going to be much stronger with us,
- 15:48Speaker 1: so that's for sure. Without you, Ukraine is going to
- 15:54Speaker 1: be lonely, lonesome. We have proven our strengths. We have
- 16:00Speaker 1: proven that as at a minimum, we are exactly what's
- 16:05Speaker 1: the same as you are. So do prove that you
- 16:08Speaker 1: are with us, Do prove that you will not let
- 16:13Speaker 1: us go. Do prove that you indeed are Europeans, and
- 16:19Speaker 1: then life will win over death, and light will win
- 16:26Speaker 1: over darkness. Glory be to Ukraine, European Union Parliament and
- 16:37Speaker 1: giving Zelenski a standing ovation, as you can hear there
- 16:43Speaker 1: a standing ovation for a man that is willing to die,
- 16:47Speaker 1: not fleeing his country knowing he has a plane ride out.
- 16:51Speaker 1: America offered to get him out. He said, I'm not leaving.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I don't need a ride. I need ammunition. I don't
- 16:57Speaker 1: need a ride, I need ammunition. As standing ovation for
- 17:03Speaker 1: Zelenski a powerful, powerful, powerful moment. Now many are now
- 17:11Speaker 1: saying that Vladimir Putin has become increasingly unhinged. Former Russian
- 17:18Speaker 1: ambassador McFall said, I don't have to read the intel
- 17:21Speaker 1: another Putin's becoming increasingly unhinged. He's underestimated the support of
- 17:24Speaker 1: his people and underestimated the support of the West, the
- 17:27Speaker 1: unity of the West. And what we are witnessing right
- 17:31Speaker 1: now is massive explosions that are happening in Ukraine right
- 17:34Speaker 1: now because this is what they want to do. They
- 17:37Speaker 1: want and Vladimir Putin wants to bomb and kill and
- 17:41Speaker 1: that's what's happening innocent people. He doesn't care. They don't
- 17:44Speaker 1: value life. Now. As I have said before and I
- 17:48Speaker 1: will say it again, I am in favor of supporting them.
- 17:52Speaker 1: But do not get duped by the left, who is
- 17:56Speaker 1: now starting to talk about drumbeats of US American getting
- 17:59Speaker 1: involved in setting up a no fly zone. As they
- 18:02Speaker 1: put it, whatever you do, do not do that. We
- 18:09Speaker 1: are seeing right now Kiev be surrounded by Russian troops.
- 18:13Speaker 1: We just saw a Russian television tower be attacked in
- 18:18Speaker 1: a bombing attack by Russia. We are seeing a significant
- 18:23Speaker 1: uptick in bombs there being shot into Kiev as we
- 18:28Speaker 1: speak now. You just heard what Zelinski had to say,
- 18:32Speaker 1: and Western envoys and the allies actually walked out on
- 18:36Speaker 1: Russia as they had their speech to the UN. This
- 18:40Speaker 1: is again, more than one hundred diplomats from some forty
- 18:44Speaker 1: Western countries and allies, including Japan, walked out on a
- 18:48Speaker 1: speech by the Russian Foreign Minister to the top UN
- 18:51Speaker 1: Human Rights forum on in a protest over Russia's invasion
- 18:55Speaker 1: of Ukraine. The boycott by envoys from the European Union
- 18:59Speaker 1: in the United States, Britain and others left only a
- 19:01Speaker 1: few diplomats in the room, including Russia's ambassador to the
- 19:04Speaker 1: UN in Geneva. Envoys from Syria, China and Venezuela were
- 19:10Speaker 1: among delegations that stayed. Russian leaders were addressing the UN
- 19:16Speaker 1: Human Rights Council remotely after canceling their in person visit
- 19:20Speaker 1: due to what Russian The Russian mission said on Monday,
- 19:23Speaker 1: where EU states blocking their flight path. Neutral Switzerland also
- 19:29Speaker 1: imposed financial sanctions on Russia, a measure of the international
- 19:35Speaker 1: revolt over the invasion of Russia Russia describes as a
- 19:39Speaker 1: special military operation quote aimed at dislodging Neo Nazis ruling Ukraine,
- 19:44Speaker 1: even though the man who's in charge of Ukraine is
- 19:47Speaker 1: actually Jewish. In his speech, lav rav accused the EU
- 19:53Speaker 1: of engaging in a frenzy by supplying lethal weapon to Ukraine.
- 20:00Speaker 1: During Moscow's military campaign that began last Thursday, the Russian
- 20:05Speaker 1: armored at Colin bor down on Ukraine's capital in Kiev,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and invasion forces firing massive amounts of rockets into the
- 20:13Speaker 1: center of that country's capital. Also, the second largest city
- 20:19Speaker 1: in Ukraine is under attack as the sixth and seventh
- 20:23Speaker 1: day of Russia's assault on its neighbor are ratching up.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Among the diplomats who walked out, Canadian's foreign minister said
- 20:33Speaker 1: they have joined Ukraine's ambassador and then a large group
- 20:39Speaker 1: of others decided to walk out flying Ukrainians blue and
- 20:42Speaker 1: yellow flag. It's remarkable the show of support for Ukraines
- 20:46Speaker 1: who are fighting for their independence, Canada's Foreign minister told
- 20:50Speaker 1: reporters after they just cracked out on their own citizens
- 20:53Speaker 1: and candidates. Ironic, how they're playing both sides as disgusting Canada's.
- 21:00Speaker 1: He said there have been massive destruction to civilian infrastructure
- 21:03Speaker 1: and said it's time for us to stand with the
- 21:05Speaker 1: people of Ukraine, even though they just went after their
- 21:08Speaker 1: own people, arresting their own systems for standing up for
- 21:11Speaker 1: their rights in Canada. Russia, of course is denying at
- 21:15Speaker 1: this hour targeting any civilian sights, even though we have
- 21:18Speaker 1: on camera them targeting civilian sights killing children and women
- 21:24Speaker 1: in seniors. Canada, said mister Minister Lavrov was giving his version,
- 21:31Speaker 1: which is false about what's happening in Ukraine. And so
- 21:34Speaker 1: that's why we wanted to show a very strong stance
- 21:36Speaker 1: together by walking out again. I just laugh because it's
- 21:39Speaker 1: the same people in Canada just cracked down their own
- 21:41Speaker 1: people in a barbaric way there with the emergency powers
- 21:45Speaker 1: they use, and now that all of a sudden they're like, oh,
- 21:47Speaker 1: let's stand together with the people who are being abused
- 21:50Speaker 1: in Ukraine. It is hypocrisy. I go back to what
- 21:54Speaker 1: I said a moment ago. Don't fall for what they're
- 21:57Speaker 1: doing in Canada, and don't fall for what they're doing
- 22:00Speaker 1: in America right now with this drumbeat to war. Do
- 22:05Speaker 1: not fall for it. They are going to ratchet this up,
- 22:09Speaker 1: and they're going to do it because they see an
- 22:11Speaker 1: opportunity here to change the narrative. When you look at
- 22:16Speaker 1: what just happened in Canada. Leaders in Canada are doing
- 22:18Speaker 1: everything that can Dada that make you not even remember
- 22:21Speaker 1: that it happened, try to make you look the other way.
- 22:24Speaker 1: That's exactly what our president is trying to do in
- 22:27Speaker 1: this country with the State of the Union. Unite America
- 22:29Speaker 1: against Russia. Right that, you need an enemy to distract
- 22:33Speaker 1: from what has happened in America, same exact thing with
- 22:37Speaker 1: what's happened in Canada. They need an enemy. And if
- 22:40Speaker 1: they can make this the international issue and everybody can
- 22:43Speaker 1: focus on it, look at it, talk about it, stare
- 22:45Speaker 1: at it, and unite around it, they're going to do it,
- 22:48Speaker 1: which is exactly why they're doing it right now. Do
- 22:51Speaker 1: not fall for this. I still am taken back by
- 22:57Speaker 1: what Canada just did to their own people. And then
- 23:00Speaker 1: all of a sudden they're out there walking out on
- 23:03Speaker 1: Russia and what's happening in Russia, acting like there's some
- 23:05Speaker 1: do gooders when talking about freedom and democracy and expression right,
- 23:10Speaker 1: talking about all of these different things the way that
- 23:14Speaker 1: they're talking about them when they just crushed their own
- 23:17Speaker 1: people in Canada, arresting grandparents, throwing them to the ground,
- 23:23Speaker 1: and now they want to stand up to Russia and
- 23:26Speaker 1: act like they're standing up for freedom. Remember what they
- 23:30Speaker 1: just did their own people. War can be used as
- 23:34Speaker 1: an opportunity to unite. I do believe that Vladimir Putin
- 23:39Speaker 1: is losing control in his own country. I do believe
- 23:41Speaker 1: these become unhinged. Secretary B. Lincoln has come out and
- 23:45Speaker 1: said moments ago that he believes President Putin should unconditionally
- 23:48Speaker 1: stop this unprovoked attack. Well that's obvious, But why didn't
- 23:51Speaker 1: you guys do more on the front end. Why didn't
- 23:53Speaker 1: you go after the banking early on? Why didn't you
- 23:56Speaker 1: provide the weaponry that was needed to Ukraine to defend
- 23:59Speaker 1: themselves early on? Why didn't you do the sanctions before
- 24:02Speaker 1: they went in? Why didn't you do the sanctions when
- 24:04Speaker 1: they were building up the troops and we knew it
- 24:05Speaker 1: was coming. And now you're acting like, oh, well, we're
- 24:08Speaker 1: going to stand up for these people. You didn't stand
- 24:10Speaker 1: up for him beforehand, So why should we trust you now?
- 24:16Speaker 1: And if you think that Putin's listening to Blincoln, you're
- 24:19Speaker 1: just wrong. Senator Tom Cotton said this brilliantly earlier. He said,
- 24:26Speaker 1: we would have a lot of freedom of action to
- 24:28Speaker 1: stand up to Putin and Biden would stop doubling down
- 24:32Speaker 1: on the Green New Deal, open up that Keystone pipeline,
- 24:37Speaker 1: and stop giving billions of dollars every twenty four hours
- 24:42Speaker 1: to Russia with all the oil that we buy and
- 24:45Speaker 1: other countries buy from them. He is absolutely right something
- 24:50Speaker 1: that we already do if we haven't ruled out that.
- 24:54Speaker 1: So with us now. Republican Senator Tom Conna, Arkansas, member
- 24:57Speaker 1: the Senate Armed Services Committee, And Sarah's good to see you.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Good to see her all this time. Yeah, good morning too.
- 25:02Speaker 1: You'll be in the chamber tonight for the State of
- 25:04Speaker 1: the Union address and we'll see what the President has
- 25:08Speaker 1: to say. Your assessment of Vladimir Putin and his intentions
- 25:12Speaker 1: now are what waken Well. Vladimir Putin for twenty years
- 25:16Speaker 1: has wanted to reassemble the Russian Empire. He's had that
- 25:19Speaker 1: imperialist ambition since he took office. I think what he's
- 25:21Speaker 1: seeing over the last six months is a perception of
- 25:25Speaker 1: weakness and opportunity. He saw her withdrawal from Afghanistan, he
- 25:28Speaker 1: began building up these troops on the board of Ukraine.
- 25:30Speaker 1: A few weeks later. He also saw a long series
- 25:33Speaker 1: of one sided concessions at President Biden gave to him,
- 25:36Speaker 1: and I believe that's why he calculated that he could
- 25:38Speaker 1: go for the jugular now in Ukraine, which is what
- 25:40Speaker 1: he's always wanted to do. All credit here goes to
- 25:43Speaker 1: the brave men and women in Ukraine who are fighting
- 25:45Speaker 1: back against his army, not just their armed forces, but
- 25:49Speaker 1: the moms and kids making Molotov cocktails, or the grandmas
- 25:52Speaker 1: and grandfathers who are going out to get aks. This
- 25:55Speaker 1: is more than putin bargain for, and every day they've
- 25:57Speaker 1: been able to fight off his war machine is another day.
- 26:00Speaker 1: They have emboldened Western leaders to impose sanctions, to send
- 26:04Speaker 1: weapons to help them in this fight. But we have
- 26:06Speaker 1: to do more. What I hope President Biden will do
- 26:08Speaker 1: tonight is announced that we'll have no more half measures
- 26:11Speaker 1: on sanctions. They say they've sanctioned eighty percent of the
- 26:13Speaker 1: banks in Russia. Unfortunately, Vladim Reputin controls one hundred percent
- 26:17Speaker 1: of the banks, so you can move money around, it
- 26:19Speaker 1: can use the other non sanctioned banked. And we still
- 26:21Speaker 1: haven't sanctioned their energy sector at all. We have sent
- 26:24Speaker 1: tens of millions of dollars to Vladim Reputan's war machine
- 26:27Speaker 1: in just the six days of this war buying his oil.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Europe has sent even more. We can impose even more
- 26:33Speaker 1: punishing sanctions on him if we will also reverse our
- 26:37Speaker 1: terrible energy policies at home. Here there's time to do
- 26:40Speaker 1: more support these brave Ukrainians as they fight for their
- 26:43Speaker 1: own freedom. So you've been in State of the Union
- 26:45Speaker 1: addresses before, and usually this is a time when the
- 26:47Speaker 1: President of the United States can tout his accomplishments and
- 26:51Speaker 1: you'll get a standing ovation, sometimes from just one side
- 26:53Speaker 1: of the aisle. But in this case it's very interesting
- 26:55Speaker 1: because two of the accomplishments that they think they would
- 26:58Speaker 1: like to talk about about the economy in terms of
- 27:01Speaker 1: jobs numbers and things like that, but inflation, partly because
- 27:04Speaker 1: of the American Rescue Plan and because of their energy policies,
- 27:08Speaker 1: are driving some of the problems that you'll see in
- 27:11Speaker 1: these reflected in these poll numbers from multiple polls this
- 27:14Speaker 1: week having them in the mid thirties on approval. Yeah,
- 27:17Speaker 1: and also very low approval numbers on his performance with Ukraine.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Whether we've been tough enough on Vladimir Putin. That's why
- 27:24Speaker 1: I say it's time to reverse course here. If gas
- 27:27Speaker 1: was still at two dollars and ten cents a gallon,
- 27:29Speaker 1: not at three dollars and sixty cents a gallon, we
- 27:31Speaker 1: would have a lot more freedom of action to stand
- 27:33Speaker 1: up to Vladimir Putin. There are more things that we
- 27:36Speaker 1: can continue to do, and that's what he should be
- 27:37Speaker 1: announcing tonight. Well, what's the likelihood that you get some
- 27:40Speaker 1: sort of reversal on these policies. I mean, given what
- 27:43Speaker 1: we've seen from the administration the last few days, it
- 27:45Speaker 1: doesn't seem likely. I mean, you see them continuing to
- 27:47Speaker 1: double down on tenants of the Green New Deal, while
- 27:50Speaker 1: they're also taking steps to continue to reduce our nuclear
- 27:54Speaker 1: power sources. You know, just last week they reversed a
- 27:56Speaker 1: permit that would extend the life of a nuclear power
- 27:58Speaker 1: plant in Florida. It's the exact opposite. We should be doing.
- 28:01Speaker 1: An addition to opening up federal lands for new leases,
- 28:04Speaker 1: as they put a new moratorium on just last week
- 28:07Speaker 1: in the middle of this war. We should be building
- 28:09Speaker 1: more nuclear power plants here, we should be building them
- 28:11Speaker 1: in Europe as well, might idea. I love, by the way,
- 28:15Speaker 1: how he described that so simplistically, like this is a
- 28:18Speaker 1: This is a man in Joe Biden, the Democratic Party
- 28:21Speaker 1: that are that are doubling down on Green New Deal ideas.
- 28:23Speaker 1: We should be doing the complete opposite of that. We
- 28:26Speaker 1: should build more nuclear power plants here and in Europe.
- 28:30Speaker 1: We should become energy independent to make sure they can't
- 28:32Speaker 1: take advantage of us. But they're doing the exact opposite
- 28:35Speaker 1: of that. He is absolutely right, he is spot on.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I promise you we're going to have a lot more
- 28:44Speaker 1: and we will keep you updated on all of this.
