- 2:07Speaker 1: to the voice. Come on dig me now, one and
- 2:10Speaker 1: only Steve Arvey got a radio show. Man o man
- 2:14Speaker 1: o man something going on real good today. You ought
- 2:18Speaker 1: to feel blessed today. The fact that God woke you
- 2:20Speaker 1: up and gave you another opportunity. You know, every day
- 2:23Speaker 1: you wake up, it's another chance. It's a chance for
- 2:26Speaker 1: all of us to get better, to get it right,
- 2:29Speaker 1: to get on the right path, to stop heading the
- 2:32Speaker 1: wrong way. Every day you wake up, that's your opportunity. See,
- 2:36Speaker 1: because He's gonna keep waking you up because he has
- 2:39Speaker 1: a plan for you. You know, I don't know, uh
- 2:44Speaker 1: you know, I don't. I don't. I don't know when
- 2:48Speaker 1: he makes his call and and you know who gets
- 2:51Speaker 1: called home when I can't explain it. I don't have
- 2:54Speaker 1: that answer. I'm not him, I'm not God. I don't
- 2:56Speaker 1: claim to be. I don't. I don't understand it all sometimes,
- 3:00Speaker 1: but God has an amazing way. But as long as
- 3:03Speaker 1: he's waking you up, I do know this. God ain't
- 3:06Speaker 1: through with you yet. God has a plan for you.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Your job is to identify identify the plan. You know.
- 3:14Speaker 1: That's that's clearly what I need for you to do.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You know. Um oftentimes the thing that you're looking for,
- 3:22Speaker 1: it's right there inside of you. You know. I can't
- 3:26Speaker 1: tell you how many people I meet. Mister Harvey, mister
- 3:30Speaker 1: speak to you for a minute. Yeah, man, what's up
- 3:32Speaker 1: with you? Man? I was just wondering. Man, I've been
- 3:34Speaker 1: trying to and I want to know, man, can you
- 3:37Speaker 1: give me a good agent? Can you give me a
- 3:39Speaker 1: good lawyer? Can you give me a good Now? Look,
- 3:42Speaker 1: if you got some legal problems, I understand you're gonna
- 3:45Speaker 1: need some help right there. But the majority of questions
- 3:47Speaker 1: I get asked is about their future, about their place
- 3:50Speaker 1: in this world, about their mission, about what they're trying
- 3:54Speaker 1: to do, how they're trying to figure out, and then
- 3:56Speaker 1: how to go about doing it. But the answer I
- 3:59Speaker 1: must remind all of you is always within yourself. It
- 4:03Speaker 1: starts right there. See, a lot of people burn up
- 4:06Speaker 1: a lot of time looking around trying to find someone.
- 4:10Speaker 1: If I could just meet them, if I could just
- 4:14Speaker 1: get on her show. Man, if all, if I could
- 4:18Speaker 1: just get to his show, I beating made It's not
- 4:22Speaker 1: That's not necessarily the case. Because see, just like every
- 4:27Speaker 1: time you put your put your faith in a person
- 4:31Speaker 1: or an event or currens or some type of thing
- 4:35Speaker 1: that you imagine yourself being and then that'll do it
- 4:38Speaker 1: for you, imagine of all the people who've made it
- 4:41Speaker 1: without you know, I look at everybody telling, man, if
- 4:43Speaker 1: I could get on so and So's show, that will
- 4:46Speaker 1: do it for me. Man, somebody else got on that
- 4:48Speaker 1: show and they blew up. Man, if I could just
- 4:50Speaker 1: make it to that show, do you know how many
- 4:52Speaker 1: people have made it without that? So, see, when you
- 4:55Speaker 1: start focusing in on what your idea of how to
- 4:59Speaker 1: make it is, and your idea of how to make
- 5:01Speaker 1: it does not include your relationship with God, you're spending
- 5:05Speaker 1: your wills. Man, it's a vicious cycle you in now,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and I'm asking everybody to get out of that cycle.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Get out of looking for someone and something. The answer
- 5:16Speaker 1: is within you. God resides in you. That burning thing
- 5:20Speaker 1: that you have that you just can't get out your head,
- 5:24Speaker 1: that's a seed. God planet that the That's a seed.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It needs watering, nurturing, fertilizing. That's what it needs. It
- 5:32Speaker 1: didn't it. Don't ever say, Man, I need that other
- 5:34Speaker 1: person right there now. Now, people you will meet. That
- 5:37Speaker 1: a compliment you, and I can assure you that God
- 5:40Speaker 1: will put you in the right place at the right time.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I'm almost certain that God will introduce you to everybody
- 5:46Speaker 1: you need to be introduced to to make it to
- 5:49Speaker 1: wherever it is. You all are trying to get to him.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Talking about you and God now. But the moment you're
- 5:54Speaker 1: taken into your own hands and you make the decision
- 5:57Speaker 1: as to who you got to get to, you've just
- 6:00Speaker 1: clouded and muddied the waters. See God's plan for you
- 6:04Speaker 1: don't really need your help. It needs your attention, It
- 6:10Speaker 1: needs your focus, It needs your faith, and it needs
- 6:13Speaker 1: your hard work. But it needs you to listen. Needs
- 6:18Speaker 1: you to listen more than anything. Listen, keep the faith
- 6:22Speaker 1: and be willing to work your tail off. I don't
- 6:26Speaker 1: know how you think it can happen any other way.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But then again I do because I try to make
- 6:32Speaker 1: it another way. So I had to come to the conclusion,
- 6:36Speaker 1: Hey man, listen here, dog, this ain't working for you.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You gotta get some more God, here, man, listen to me.
- 6:43Speaker 1: The answer was always within me, the moment I sat
- 6:49Speaker 1: down with myself and told myself the truth that a
- 6:52Speaker 1: partner you ain't really all that they a partner, regardless
- 6:57Speaker 1: as to what people are seeing and stuff. You ain't happy,
- 7:00Speaker 1: Hey Pardner, this really ain't about you. Hey Pardner, you
- 7:04Speaker 1: really ain't all that good at this. God is keeping
- 7:08Speaker 1: you for a reason. Okay, hold up, Steve, quit tripping.
- 7:12Speaker 1: What I need to do. I just started talking to
- 7:14Speaker 1: myself and then I heard Bishop Jake's say a couple
- 7:17Speaker 1: of things. Then I was watching TV. I heard Joel
- 7:20Speaker 1: Oldstein say a couple of things, and I went wild, man, Okay, cool,
- 7:24Speaker 1: that's pretty slick. I'm gonna try that. And when I
- 7:27Speaker 1: did it, it changed my life. I am telling you, man,
- 7:31Speaker 1: it has been God this whole time, and the God
- 7:34Speaker 1: has been residing inside on me, just like the God
- 7:38Speaker 1: resides on the inside of you. That's him talking to you,
- 7:42Speaker 1: telling you man, you are to get it together. Man,
- 7:45Speaker 1: making you feel bad, it's sending you on guilt trips,
- 7:48Speaker 1: you knowing you wrong, and you out there wrong, and
- 7:50Speaker 1: something telling you you all not do it. Here's how
- 7:53Speaker 1: you know. It's God. And Bishop Olmer taught me this
- 7:57Speaker 1: in his book He's Got and think of the name
- 8:00Speaker 1: of it right now. But it's a really good book.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But it says in there man. Bishop Alma was talking
- 8:06Speaker 1: in this book and he was saying, the way you
- 8:08Speaker 1: know is not God's voice. It's if it ain't no
- 8:13Speaker 1: sin in it. See how many times have you made
- 8:17Speaker 1: up in your mind, I'm gonna show this person or
- 8:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna show that person. I'm gonna get this person back.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You hurt me, I'm gonna hurt you. You know the
- 8:26Speaker 1: Lord don't like ugly. I'll show you well, the Lord
- 8:29Speaker 1: don't like ugly. But no way in that doesn't safe
- 8:32Speaker 1: for you to go show them. It doesn't say that. See,
- 8:37Speaker 1: so when you strike out on that mission, you know
- 8:40Speaker 1: the God knows in my heart I loved you, but
- 8:43Speaker 1: I got to do this because you did me. Whoa
- 8:45Speaker 1: whoa ain't got nothing to do with God? Right there,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you can take him out of it. If it's God,
- 8:50Speaker 1: has no sin in it. So anytime somebody come to
- 8:55Speaker 1: me talking about the Lord told me to do this
- 8:58Speaker 1: to you, and that's the only reason I'm doing it.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You need to get yourself right with God. I heard
- 9:02Speaker 1: all them threats right there. That ain't God talking to
- 9:05Speaker 1: me through you. What are you crazy? If it's God,
- 9:09Speaker 1: it has no sin in it. So you got to
- 9:11Speaker 1: be careful, man, when you're talking to people and we're
- 9:14Speaker 1: gonna go down here and we're gonna do this because
- 9:15Speaker 1: this is the right thing to do. If it has
- 9:18Speaker 1: something wrong going on, then it can't be the right
- 9:22Speaker 1: thing to do. Took me a minute to learn that one.
- 9:26Speaker 1: But please get that through your head so you can
- 9:28Speaker 1: quit spinning yourself around and remember everything you're looking for
- 9:33Speaker 1: is within you. It's all right there. Quit wasting your
- 9:37Speaker 1: time looking around all the time. Go to your God, man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: talk to him. Go to that spirit that's on the
- 9:44Speaker 1: inside of you that's calling you. Stop letting people shake
- 9:48Speaker 1: your treat. At the end of the day, somebody gonna
- 9:51Speaker 1: be right, somebody gonna be wrong. All right, y'all, we're
- 9:53Speaker 1: gonna help going day tripping a little bit, going through
- 9:56Speaker 1: something you're listening, ladies and gentlemen. It is here, it
- 10:03Speaker 1: is upon us. It is the beginning of a new day.
- 10:07Speaker 1: We give thanks and honor to Almighty God for letting
- 10:09Speaker 1: us see another one. Man. You got to feel that
- 10:11Speaker 1: way about it. I'm telling you right now, Please don't
- 10:14Speaker 1: take it for granted. It is not a given that
- 10:17Speaker 1: we wake up every day. So we appreciate it. And now,
- 10:21Speaker 1: since she has given us this gift, letting me return
- 10:24Speaker 1: to favor by letting the gift that he gave me
- 10:29Speaker 1: shine through brightly. Today, Ladies and gentlemen, I present to
- 10:32Speaker 1: you a man who is dedicated to just high level
- 10:37Speaker 1: an obliterated instantaneous ignorance. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to
- 10:46Speaker 1: you myself. Hey started off, appreciate you, give it some love.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And now the others Sherley Strawberry, Hey, good morning, Steve,
- 11:02Speaker 1: thank you, Lord, thank you, Colin Farrell, good morning. What's up? Crew? Haste?
- 11:09Speaker 1: Another level of ignorance Killspas better known as Jewel. I
- 11:15Speaker 1: can't do it without him, not nowaday and now a
- 11:20Speaker 1: man who has mastered stupidity at a level unreached by
- 11:27Speaker 1: anyone I know. Since fault or his further mote. Come
- 11:32Speaker 1: on him, I present to you a man and introduced
- 11:35Speaker 1: to others. In his own words, stupidity DICTI yes, nephew,
- 11:43Speaker 1: tell me your sick. I'm gonna be stupid to date.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Whoa watch? So what? So? What was yesterday? Shut up, Junior?
- 11:59Speaker 1: He ain't never had it there he thought he was
- 12:02Speaker 1: still He didn't know he was stupid, and it leaked out.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Ye talk about a random announcement about it, but obvious. Hey, hey,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I just had to get the word out. Okay, feeling
- 12:20Speaker 1: good today, Steve sounds like, yeah, you know what, I
- 12:23Speaker 1: feel pretty good. Blessed Tyley favoring. I'm in shape. You
- 12:26Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Yeah, you work, boy, Yeah, I'm
- 12:32Speaker 1: I have to thank God for that. I really am
- 12:34Speaker 1: pretty healthy. Man. You know, I got a couple of
- 12:36Speaker 1: little issues, but you know, ain't nothing made you going on?
- 12:39Speaker 1: You know, here's what I knew. I was okay. I
- 12:42Speaker 1: was complaining about the supplements that I had to take.
- 12:45Speaker 1: My son went to was in the gym with me.
- 12:47Speaker 1: He said, Dad, at least they supplements Dane in a
- 12:51Speaker 1: green bottle with prescription right now, okay? And I went wow, wow, yeah,
- 12:59Speaker 1: you know what? Right on back in let of taking
- 13:01Speaker 1: them down or supplement. Got quiet and shut up. How many,
- 13:10Speaker 1: though do you take keeping morning and night? I'll probably
- 13:13Speaker 1: take about twenty eight, Yeah, fourteen and fourteen and fourteen? Yeah,
- 13:23Speaker 1: how much? No, I ain't not no, my nice stand.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I don't have the like that I see it. Supplements,
- 13:28Speaker 1: Marge're not gonna have no understanding anything to look at
- 13:31Speaker 1: your being look like my hospital. All right, coming up
- 13:35Speaker 1: at thirty two minutes after, we have some time for
- 13:37Speaker 1: to ask the cello. Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey and
- 13:41Speaker 1: the building. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 13:45Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, time now for ask
- 13:49Speaker 1: the clo. The Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey is in
- 13:52Speaker 1: the building. This one is from Teresa and Arkansas. Teresa write,
- 13:57Speaker 1: I'm a forty two year old married woman and I
- 14:00Speaker 1: had a son when I was in high school and
- 14:02Speaker 1: my parents raised him. I left home at age eighteen
- 14:05Speaker 1: for college and I married my college sweetheart. My husband
- 14:09Speaker 1: and I have two sons. My oldest son chose to
- 14:13Speaker 1: stay with my parents, and he resents me for getting
- 14:16Speaker 1: married years ago. It bothers him that my younger sons
- 14:19Speaker 1: have a family. A family unit, and he did not,
- 14:23Speaker 1: and he's been meaning rude to me for years, and
- 14:26Speaker 1: my husband is not having it anymore. How can I
- 14:29Speaker 1: got my grown son to stop this? Well, he's better,
- 14:34Speaker 1: he's dealing with some issues. Kids don't like to think
- 14:40Speaker 1: that some other kids are the beneficiary of a family
- 14:43Speaker 1: that they didn't have as they were growing up, and
- 14:46Speaker 1: they hold on to that. I've seen it firsthand. So
- 14:50Speaker 1: but what he has to do is he has to
- 14:53Speaker 1: understand that that wasn't available to him when he was
- 14:56Speaker 1: growing up. There was no old husband wife's situation, and
- 15:03Speaker 1: her parents stepped in so she could go ahead to
- 15:05Speaker 1: college and get her education. Well, she met her college
- 15:09Speaker 1: sweetheart and they got married and they have two children.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You chose to stay with your parents because that was
- 15:15Speaker 1: his idea of what he thought was his idea of
- 15:18Speaker 1: a family situation, husband wife raising him. Now, the resentment
- 15:22Speaker 1: part of it, he's gonna have to get past that
- 15:26Speaker 1: because God got him through it. But now he's allowing
- 15:30Speaker 1: the devil to use the biggest trick that he has,
- 15:32Speaker 1: and the devil's tricker to rob you of your destiny
- 15:35Speaker 1: and to make you not see what you've gotten past
- 15:39Speaker 1: and make you live in your past so you don't
- 15:41Speaker 1: ever get to the abundance of your future. The reason
- 15:45Speaker 1: I can speak about this so eloquently is because I
- 15:48Speaker 1: have lived this one before. So you can't fool and
- 15:53Speaker 1: trick me with this one. Pardon me so. And in
- 15:56Speaker 1: the words of Slick Harvey, you can get over it
- 16:00Speaker 1: or die mad. You decide. My damn daddy man, he
- 16:05Speaker 1: didn't play with it. Son. You can get over it
- 16:09Speaker 1: or you can die mad. Now what you want to do? Yeah?
- 16:12Speaker 1: It is what it is exactly, ain't tommy? My father
- 16:19Speaker 1: made it real clear. What up? Get over it or
- 16:22Speaker 1: die mad? Which one you want to do? We didn't
- 16:25Speaker 1: handle money for therapy, and you ain't going down. Now
- 16:29Speaker 1: herego your therapy. Yeah yeah, here go your therapy right here? Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 1: all right? And I bet you better not be looking
- 16:38Speaker 1: over here mad. That was my daddy's other statement. Look
- 16:42Speaker 1: look over here, mad, one more time, glance again, glances in.
- 16:48Speaker 1: All right, here we go. I need it. And Nashville says,
- 16:50Speaker 1: I'm a fifty seven year old divorced woman. I let
- 16:53Speaker 1: my fifty one year old cousin move in with me.
- 16:55Speaker 1: We have a mutual friend that I had a one
- 16:58Speaker 1: night stand with after my divorce. My cousin was the
- 17:02Speaker 1: only person I confided in about it. She told me
- 17:06Speaker 1: that it's best if we forget it happened so it
- 17:08Speaker 1: doesn't mess up the friendship. Well, I just found out
- 17:12Speaker 1: she's sleeping with him now and sneaking him in my house.
- 17:16Speaker 1: She wanted to forget about it. Uh, she said, it's
- 17:20Speaker 1: just sex and he's very good in bed. He can
- 17:22Speaker 1: I know that? Was she plotting to get my sloppy
- 17:26Speaker 1: seconds all along? Well, I don't know, but let me
- 17:31Speaker 1: just say this. You fifty seven, she fifty one. There's
- 17:35Speaker 1: a hundred and eight years of life experience over here. Y'all.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Don't think both y'all two olds high school? High school. Yeah,
- 17:47Speaker 1: if you don't want him, what difference you would make you?
- 17:51Speaker 1: But see, you confide in people. Here's what I learned.
- 17:57Speaker 1: What sh Everybody in your circle ain't in your corner. Yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 1: do your dirt by your slap And you don't know
- 18:07Speaker 1: that though, But everybody in your circle ain't in your corner.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Quick thinking, you can share everything with everybody because somebody
- 18:17Speaker 1: gonna take it to other way. Yeah, and this is family,
- 18:20Speaker 1: which makes it even worse. This is family. This is
- 18:22Speaker 1: not some random friend or just some random person. This
- 18:26Speaker 1: is your cousin. Oh well it's just that. But both y'all, well,
- 18:31Speaker 1: both y'all getting played. Tell you the truth, all right.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Hammond and first Hood and a ford Hood, Texas says,
- 18:38Speaker 1: Hammond is his name. Hammond Hammond and Fordhood, Texas says,
- 18:41Speaker 1: I'm a twenty two year old man. Hammond is his name.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm a twenty two year old man that decided to
- 18:48Speaker 1: change my life by joining the military. I was in
- 18:51Speaker 1: the streets making fast money, so I knew that I
- 18:53Speaker 1: had to do better. My girlfriend was not happy with
- 18:56Speaker 1: my decision to leave, so I gave her a promise
- 18:58Speaker 1: ring to show her I am committed to her for life.
- 19:02Speaker 1: We've been dating since we were seventeen years old, and
- 19:05Speaker 1: she's being distant since I left town. My mom said
- 19:08Speaker 1: she was only with me for my lifestyle. I love
- 19:11Speaker 1: this girl so much, and she stopped talking to me.
- 19:14Speaker 1: What should I do? Hey, dont go get you somebody else? Yeah,
- 19:19Speaker 1: that's all Your mama then told you she was with
- 19:22Speaker 1: you for your lifestyle, using the streets making that fast money.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Now you don't run on here and got the military
- 19:27Speaker 1: making you some good legal, clean, hard working, honest man living. Now.
- 19:32Speaker 1: That ain't what she won't get you somebody else. Ye
- 19:38Speaker 1: fall out of love with her cause you didn't fall
- 19:41Speaker 1: in love with somebody else. The best way to get
- 19:44Speaker 1: over one of them is with another one of him.
- 19:48Speaker 1: All right, nice, all right, Carrie, And the DMV says,
- 19:52Speaker 1: I'm a thirty six year old married man and I've
- 19:53Speaker 1: got a problem with my wife's wardrobe. In the last year,
- 19:57Speaker 1: she's ordered a bunch of outfits and shoes, and when
- 19:59Speaker 1: we go out, she doesn't wear anything nice. She's always
- 20:02Speaker 1: got on the same black leggings and a baby tea
- 20:06Speaker 1: with black heels. She's beautiful and fly and I'd love
- 20:09Speaker 1: to show her off, but she won't wear any of
- 20:11Speaker 1: her new clothes. Well, I'd be out of line if
- 20:14Speaker 1: I pick out a few outfits that I'd like to
- 20:16Speaker 1: see her in. Well, you have to say it to him.
- 20:20Speaker 1: You know, she didn't bought all these new clothes and
- 20:22Speaker 1: she ain't wearing them. You know, maybe you don't compliment
- 20:25Speaker 1: or make her feel pretty well, maybe he don't compliment
- 20:28Speaker 1: and make her feel good. Maybe she wearing a man
- 20:30Speaker 1: work somebody seeing the clothes someone else? Wow, bang, just
- 20:37Speaker 1: in the closet. I say that, I say that, I
- 20:43Speaker 1: know you did. Thank you, Clo. Coming up next, it
- 20:47Speaker 1: is a nephew would run that prank back right after this.
- 20:51Speaker 1: You're listening Morning show coming up at the top of
- 20:56Speaker 1: the hour, Miss Anna's standing by with today's national news
- 21:00Speaker 1: and in entertainment news, Bill Cosby back in the news again.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Check this out, guys. He wants payback for his jail time,
- 21:10Speaker 1: is what real? Well, if he was hopefully accused, that's
- 21:16Speaker 1: what he's saying. All right, Oh no, no, no, we're
- 21:22Speaker 1: not gonna run past it. In the words of my grandmama,
- 21:24Speaker 1: go on your house and shut show dope. That's it,
- 21:28Speaker 1: shut show dope. All right, we have some other entertainment
- 21:34Speaker 1: news for you. This one's for you, junior. We'll tell
- 21:36Speaker 1: you about your homegirl from Houston, Meg the Stallion and
- 21:40Speaker 1: her heart girl summer. Okay, we'll talk about all of
- 21:43Speaker 1: these stories. Oh yeah, at the top of the hour.
- 21:46Speaker 1: But right now, the nephew is here. As you've heard,
- 21:49Speaker 1: with today's run that brank back. What you got for us,
- 21:51Speaker 1: nav You ain't no sigma. You ain't no sigma. That's
- 21:57Speaker 1: the title, right that, You ain't no Hello. Oh, I'm
- 22:03Speaker 1: trying to reach a Greg please. Yeah, this is he?
- 22:06Speaker 1: How you doing? My name is Bernard, five Beta Sigma.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I'm over pledged relations? Uh giving you a call to day? Man.
- 22:15Speaker 1: You attended priv a m University? Am I correct? Yeah?
- 22:19Speaker 1: Am I right? You attended Privy and from my understanding,
- 22:24Speaker 1: you pledged five Beta Sigma and fall of ninety one.
- 22:28Speaker 1: That's correct, all right, that's the that's the Theta chapter. Correct. Yes,
- 22:32Speaker 1: all right. Here's where we're having some problems here going
- 22:35Speaker 1: through the records records. Actually looking at the records that
- 22:38Speaker 1: we have here headquarters, you're not actually an official member
- 22:43Speaker 1: of five Beta Sigma. I don't know what has taken place.
- 22:46Speaker 1: But wait a minute, what what you mean not a member?
- 22:49Speaker 1: Looking at our records here at national headquarters, it's indicating
- 22:53Speaker 1: that you're not an official member of five Beta Sigma.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I don't know what could have gone wrong with this time.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Now that ain't right, man, That ain't right, because see,
- 23:02Speaker 1: depth data is recognized nationally, so why wouldn't I be
- 23:06Speaker 1: nationally recognized. I'm not certain, sir. Maybe it's something that
- 23:08Speaker 1: took place on that that actual line of fall ninety one.
- 23:12Speaker 1: We're actually going to have to do some research on
- 23:14Speaker 1: everything that's going on with your line as well as
- 23:17Speaker 1: the chapter. But how is that possible if they gave
- 23:19Speaker 1: if they gave me a certificate in the in the
- 23:21Speaker 1: plaque and I got my pen and I mean, I'm
- 23:25Speaker 1: gonna sigma. What you mean? Okay, sir, I don't know
- 23:28Speaker 1: what I'm looking at here, And and please understand, I
- 23:31Speaker 1: want to try to clear this matter up. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:33Speaker 1: we need to do this matter. Who else? Is there
- 23:35Speaker 1: somebody there like a oversee, uh maybe the head president
- 23:40Speaker 1: or your branch or something I can talk to or something. Well,
- 23:42Speaker 1: I'm actually I am actually over pledged relations and I
- 23:46Speaker 1: wanted to give you a call personally so we can
- 23:48Speaker 1: try to rectify the matter. And it's gonna take us
- 23:50Speaker 1: some time to hiring this thing out. But what I
- 23:53Speaker 1: need you to do as at this point. Yeah, And
- 23:55Speaker 1: you know what the problem is that I'm noticing is
- 23:57Speaker 1: that all of the people that were on your line
- 24:00Speaker 1: and they are official for some reason, mister Greg is
- 24:04Speaker 1: an official, so I want to I don't understand that
- 24:06Speaker 1: because I was the line president. So how how is
- 24:10Speaker 1: everybody else able to be a Sigma and not me?
- 24:13Speaker 1: When I did all the paperwork that it takes to
- 24:17Speaker 1: for the process to be right. I don't understand it.
- 24:19Speaker 1: S you know what, brother, I can't call you brother
- 24:23Speaker 1: for the fact that right now I'm trying me brother
- 24:25Speaker 1: because I'm a Sigma. So here's what we're gonna have
- 24:27Speaker 1: to do. Greg, We're gonna have to get you to
- 24:30Speaker 1: first of all, if you're dealing with anybody alumni wise,
- 24:33Speaker 1: we're asking that you don't go to any meetings right now.
- 24:36Speaker 1: We're also asking that you don't wear any five beta
- 24:39Speaker 1: Sigma peral for now. You at this point, we want
- 24:42Speaker 1: to make sure and get clarity that you are definitely
- 24:45Speaker 1: a brother. Amn. Man, I am definitely a brother. Do
- 24:48Speaker 1: you know what I had to go through to get
- 24:50Speaker 1: where I am today? To be a signal? All the
- 24:53Speaker 1: dude y'all, y'all took y'all dudes whatever to that. If
- 24:56Speaker 1: you're taking my dudes, you should be able to tell
- 24:58Speaker 1: me yo. Man, um, we got this going on. Certain
- 25:01Speaker 1: things that going on with your line. We need to
- 25:03Speaker 1: we need to check you. You took our money. That's
- 25:05Speaker 1: the thing. I'm seeing checks that have gone through for
- 25:08Speaker 1: other people on that line. I don't play, you know, man.
- 25:11Speaker 1: And to this day. I'm like a lifetime member. So
- 25:13Speaker 1: what the hell are you talking about. I have no
- 25:15Speaker 1: records indicating that you're a lifetime Remember, that's what I'm saying, sir.
- 25:18Speaker 1: We kissing bad dog. Somebody needs to tell me something today.
- 25:22Speaker 1: We're gonna try to get to the end of this
- 25:24Speaker 1: by the end of the week. It's gonna take no. No,
- 25:26Speaker 1: but no, but no, you're not understanding what I'm saying, man,
- 25:28Speaker 1: because I'm a signal to the heart. Dude. You know
- 25:30Speaker 1: what I'm talking about, y'all playing with my heart right now? Man,
- 25:33Speaker 1: Ain't nobody's gonna do that and get away with I
- 25:35Speaker 1: don't know what's going on. You know, here's what we
- 25:37Speaker 1: can do. We can bring you back in and do
- 25:40Speaker 1: another pledging process. Pledge. Did you understand what you just
- 25:43Speaker 1: said to me? No? Man, that ain't have me dog,
- 25:45Speaker 1: And I've been through this already. Man, I'm not pledging.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I'm not signing my name on nothing else because I
- 25:52Speaker 1: have pledged. I'm not doing it. Y'all need to get
- 25:55Speaker 1: somebody on the phone that can answer my question. I
- 25:57Speaker 1: want to know what's going on, okay right now? And
- 25:59Speaker 1: I understand and you know the disbelief of what's going on.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I really do you honestly don't. So you have brother, Brother,
- 26:06Speaker 1: We're gonna try to what year did you grow across?
- 26:08Speaker 1: Did you walk the sand? Let me tell me what's
- 26:10Speaker 1: going on? Brother? I'm fall eighty nine. Brother. And now
- 26:14Speaker 1: what we're gonna have to do right now is, first
- 26:16Speaker 1: of all, no paraphernalia. No, you're trying to see me
- 26:21Speaker 1: that I can't well what's nearest and dearest to my heart,
- 26:24Speaker 1: next to my wife and my child. You're telling me
- 26:26Speaker 1: that I can't grow around and proclaim what I am.
- 26:28Speaker 1: That's like telling me I can't be black. What the
- 26:30Speaker 1: hell is you're saying? And another thing we're going to
- 26:32Speaker 1: get you to do. Understand you have a brand, a
- 26:35Speaker 1: Sigma brand. That's how I have to come off until
- 26:38Speaker 1: we until we get this taken care of. What a man?
- 26:41Speaker 1: You talk about them medical procedures. What are you saying
- 26:45Speaker 1: so we cannot allow you to wear a brand representing
- 26:48Speaker 1: five beta Sigma when right now you are not only
- 26:50Speaker 1: you can't five a lot that that brand to me
- 26:53Speaker 1: was allowed to put the brand on me. Now I
- 26:55Speaker 1: can't be allowed to wear something that I've been wearing
- 26:58Speaker 1: for almost fifteen years and you ainzy. Come on, man,
- 27:01Speaker 1: that's some crazy. So we gotta get it. You to
- 27:04Speaker 1: take your brand of me and tell all of this
- 27:05Speaker 1: we brand what the hell it out? Man? This is
- 27:09Speaker 1: something look here, brother, but not what Bernard? Is that?
- 27:12Speaker 1: What your name is? You need to get somebody on
- 27:15Speaker 1: this a minute. That's all right, I know the president bill.
- 27:19Speaker 1: How about that. I will just call in and I'll
- 27:22Speaker 1: figured out my bill. Right now, we need you to
- 27:26Speaker 1: take the brand off off you. Come take the brand
- 27:29Speaker 1: off of me. And you want it that bad, come
- 27:32Speaker 1: get it. That's what you do. You are not a
- 27:34Speaker 1: member of five Beta sick. I'm don't give up you
- 27:37Speaker 1: talking about dog. I am a member. If you want
- 27:40Speaker 1: something over here, I land your boy. That's what you do.
- 27:43Speaker 1: You're bad, Come do it. So I'm telling you for
- 27:46Speaker 1: the final time, do not wear any paraphern Now you
- 27:49Speaker 1: keep don't want to hear that talking about no final.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Let me tell you what's final. I am a five
- 27:55Speaker 1: Beta Sigma to the hard dum sir. All I'm telling
- 28:00Speaker 1: you is no more shurt and cover that brand up
- 28:03Speaker 1: until we here. Man, I'm gonna wear everything. I got
- 28:06Speaker 1: a hat. I'm ahead of a matter of fact, I'm
- 28:08Speaker 1: gonna wearing hey, just to get on your lyrist. You're
- 28:11Speaker 1: gonna keep brand covering up until we figured out if
- 28:14Speaker 1: you are no hand covering up, you come get it.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Until then you better get away from me. I'm talking
- 28:20Speaker 1: about pull that brand up, and don't you wearing no
- 28:24Speaker 1: hurts no more to tell you something I ain't covering.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Come get it if you want it. I got one man,
- 28:29Speaker 1: he had many. This is bruefire. You don't want none.
- 28:32Speaker 1: You don't want none, y'alls. This is the man. I
- 28:35Speaker 1: don't know what one more thing I need to say
- 28:38Speaker 1: to you? Are you going to say what you got
- 28:39Speaker 1: to say? You ain't getting this. This is nephew Timmy
- 28:42Speaker 1: from the Steve Hobby Morning Show. You just got pranked
- 28:46Speaker 1: by your point. Hello boy, y'all had me ready to
- 28:53Speaker 1: kill by my man. Y'all boy, they got one more thing, man,
- 28:58Speaker 1: What is the baddest radio show when the land? What
- 29:01Speaker 1: is it? All right? Tommy? Keep on all right? Coming
- 29:07Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, We'll have some
- 29:10Speaker 1: entertainment and national news for you. Right after this. You're
- 29:14Speaker 1: listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Well, now that
- 29:19Speaker 1: Bill Cosby is a free man. Bill Cosby says he
- 29:24Speaker 1: wants to make the state of Pennsylvania pay for incarcerating him.
- 29:29Speaker 1: According to his publicist Andrew Wyatt, he thinks the lawyers
- 29:33Speaker 1: had an axe to grind against black men. As we
- 29:36Speaker 1: told you, Bill Cosby was released from prison last month
- 29:40Speaker 1: after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his twenty eighteen conviction
- 29:44Speaker 1: for sexual assault, citing violations of his due process rights.
- 29:49Speaker 1: If things go according to his plan, he's hoping for
- 29:52Speaker 1: a couple of hundred grand in compensation. We are looking
- 29:57Speaker 1: at what recourse, what legal recourse, we can take against
- 30:00Speaker 1: the State of Pennsylvania, says Wyatt. We are looking at
- 30:03Speaker 1: all legal angles for those things right now. Meanwhile, Bill,
- 30:08Speaker 1: as we told you yesterday, wants to get back to work,
- 30:11Speaker 1: get back on the comedy stage. Steve, First of all,
- 30:19Speaker 1: the two hundred thousand that you might get from Pennsylvania's
- 30:22Speaker 1: from cost you that illegal fees. That's just my opinion,
- 30:27Speaker 1: because the state of Pennsylvania is gonna file motion after
- 30:31Speaker 1: motion after motion after motion, which is gonna keep costing
- 30:34Speaker 1: you legal fees. I'm pretty sure this has to be
- 30:37Speaker 1: bigger than two hundred thousand dollars from a man with
- 30:39Speaker 1: as much money as Bill costs me. Because to win
- 30:42Speaker 1: two hundred thousand dollars ain't worth it unless he's just
- 30:45Speaker 1: trying to make a point. If you're trying to make
- 30:48Speaker 1: a point, go ahead, because some type of injustice was
- 30:52Speaker 1: done to him, as pointed out by the court system.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Got that second thing. You do not need to go
- 31:01Speaker 1: on tour. Now, what do you say you're a professional,
- 31:05Speaker 1: Why do you dog listen to me? You will not
- 31:12Speaker 1: believe the protest outside the venues where you are performing.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Just let it go. Man, It's okay. You're in your eighties,
- 31:22Speaker 1: your home, you free now yesterday. I mean, look, man,
- 31:28Speaker 1: you can write a book. It's a lot of ways
- 31:30Speaker 1: to good around this human. Do it, do it tape,
- 31:34Speaker 1: Go on Instagram, but please an instagram. Please remember OJ
- 31:43Speaker 1: Remember oh J. What do you mean by that? Oh J?
- 31:49Speaker 1: If I did it, this is how I would have
- 31:50Speaker 1: done it. See double homicide is what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 31:58Speaker 1: that's what see. Look, our support deal causby being out.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I've always been a huge fan of his for his work. Now,
- 32:08Speaker 1: if something was done illegal to this man that got
- 32:10Speaker 1: him inconcerted illegally, then our just the system worked. If
- 32:14Speaker 1: they've done something to this man illegally, they should pay
- 32:17Speaker 1: a price for that. I got that. Nobody should be incarcerated,
- 32:22Speaker 1: you know, without due process, just due process. So with that,
- 32:27Speaker 1: I'm okay, because this is our legal system. I don't
- 32:29Speaker 1: even know what happened. So I'm just talking about that aspect.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I'm not arguing guilt or innocence. I'm arguing the fact
- 32:36Speaker 1: that if he has rights as a citizen and they
- 32:39Speaker 1: were violated by the court system, he should go home
- 32:42Speaker 1: as he is. And if he if they hadn't have
- 32:45Speaker 1: done something, he would not be home. I got all
- 32:48Speaker 1: of that, and and you have every right to feel
- 32:51Speaker 1: how you want to feel. That's not what I'm commenting on.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I'm kind meanor on the fact that the judicial system
- 32:58Speaker 1: saw an injustice that was done and this is the
- 33:01Speaker 1: American way. Oh yeah, that's it. Yeah, we get that
- 33:07Speaker 1: on your house and shut dead. I'm just saying that. Yeah,
- 33:13Speaker 1: and I'm gonna say it again called shut dead and
- 33:17Speaker 1: enjoy home. All right, Look, I got it, Shirley, Ladies
- 33:22Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss a trip, Thank you very much. This
- 33:25Speaker 1: is a trip with the news. There have now been
- 33:28Speaker 1: ninety four bodies pulled from the rubble of that twelve
- 33:31Speaker 1: story Beach FRONCNDO building in Florida. Twenty two people still
- 33:35Speaker 1: missing and on accounted for. Eighty three people of those
- 33:37Speaker 1: found have been identified, but the search continues for all
- 33:40Speaker 1: the rest of the victims. Serf Side Mayor Charld Brookitt,
- 33:43Speaker 1: though says some big questions remain. We have no idea
- 33:46Speaker 1: why that building fell down. That building should have never
- 33:49Speaker 1: fallen down, and ultimately we will get to the bottom
- 33:53Speaker 1: of that particular building when we get the debris off
- 33:56Speaker 1: the site and are able to get into the foundation,
- 33:58Speaker 1: analyze the the columns and the slabs and try to
- 34:02Speaker 1: make a determination there. Meanwhile, the Miami Dade County Commissioner
- 34:06Speaker 1: who helps Surf Side officials after the tragedy has now
- 34:08Speaker 1: tested positive for COVID nineteen along with his chief of staff.
- 34:12Speaker 1: So they are now concerns about any of the other
- 34:14Speaker 1: people they came in contact with at or near the site,
- 34:18Speaker 1: and if there's any any infection near the disaster site itself,
- 34:21Speaker 1: and paralleling of those people who are trying to recover bodies.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Democrats in the Texas legislature have all gone to Washington,
- 34:27Speaker 1: DC with preparations to stay out of the Longhorn state
- 34:30Speaker 1: for maybe as long as a month, all part of
- 34:32Speaker 1: a revolt over the Republicans attempt to pass new voting restrictions,
- 34:36Speaker 1: restrictions which they say are aimed to keep minorities away
- 34:39Speaker 1: from the polls. For instance, the GOP wants to get
- 34:42Speaker 1: rid of drive and voting in Texas twenty four hour voting,
- 34:44Speaker 1: but without the Democrats, the legislatures falls short to see
- 34:47Speaker 1: of the quorum needed to pass new bills, and Houston
- 34:50Speaker 1: Democrat Garnet Coleman says the new GOP voting restrictions are
- 34:53Speaker 1: a complete obvious case of political sour grapes and voting
- 35:01Speaker 1: procedures is targeted at communities of color and targeted basically
- 35:08Speaker 1: at the success of the voting process during the twenty
- 35:12Speaker 1: elect The Republican governor of Greg Abbott is saying that
- 35:16Speaker 1: the Democrats have abandoned their responsibilities as legislators and their
- 35:19Speaker 1: decision to break Quarman flis harm on Texas. He wants
- 35:22Speaker 1: to arrest them. He also wants to maybe just lock
- 35:25Speaker 1: them into legislature if he gets them, and make them
- 35:28Speaker 1: stay there until the voting procedure goes on. President Biden's
- 35:31Speaker 1: been briefed by the delegation sent to Haiti over the
- 35:33Speaker 1: weekend following the assassination of President Jovin l Moois. Mister
- 35:37Speaker 1: Biden says the US stands ready to provide assistance to
- 35:39Speaker 1: Haiti because he says that that country's people deserve peace
- 35:43Speaker 1: and security and that their political leaders need to come
- 35:46Speaker 1: together and with gangs assuming control during the current power vacuum.
- 35:49Speaker 1: The President's also urging their elections schedule in Haiti for
- 35:52Speaker 1: September take place as planned. Today, meanwhile, is National Best
- 35:57Speaker 1: Munchie's Day. But whatever your best much She's muchieall out?
- 36:01Speaker 1: Back to Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening, all right,
- 36:07Speaker 1: So this was the weirdest thing. I'm still shaking my
- 36:10Speaker 1: head on this one. A black woman has gone viral,
- 36:14Speaker 1: gone viral after she arrived at her fiftieth birthday party.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Gets this guy's in a casket in a casket. Okay, yeah,
- 36:23Speaker 1: what listen to the theme of the party? It was
- 36:27Speaker 1: life after Death. The woman was wheeled to a venue
- 36:31Speaker 1: in a glass topped casket while a poem titled life
- 36:36Speaker 1: after Death was recited as she made her entrance. Then
- 36:40Speaker 1: she emerged from the casket. Then she walked into the
- 36:44Speaker 1: party and was just singing and everything. I'm still confused.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I'm still shaking my head. What happens? It didn't make
- 36:56Speaker 1: no sense. If you're trying to make the point that
- 36:59Speaker 1: turned fifty was like dying for you, and there's life
- 37:03Speaker 1: after death, there's other ways of doing it. But I don't,
- 37:08Speaker 1: I don't understand. The cab was ridiculous to me. And
- 37:11Speaker 1: then and then they had to help her ass get
- 37:16Speaker 1: up off the damn gurning. Now I don't know what
- 37:20Speaker 1: she was doing under that glass casket, but you look
- 37:24Speaker 1: close to me, I don't. I don't. I've never seen
- 37:29Speaker 1: anybody pretend like they was deaf and need right a
- 37:32Speaker 1: poem and go through all that. But the people around
- 37:35Speaker 1: that taking her serious? All right now? Anybody buying into
- 37:40Speaker 1: this ignorant ass mess up to me, you just don't
- 37:44Speaker 1: play with I don't who thought this was which one
- 37:47Speaker 1: of your friends thought this was a good girl. That's
- 37:51Speaker 1: it right there, go ahead. She didn't run that by anyone,
- 37:57Speaker 1: that for real. But speaking I, I'd also like to
- 38:04Speaker 1: say I had a damn thing to do with the pole.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Let's clear that up. Right. I just want to make
- 38:13Speaker 1: that is not my work. That was crazy. Where were
- 38:17Speaker 1: you gonna say, Carlin speaks viral videos? But did y'all
- 38:21Speaker 1: see caring a Karen in the Victoria's Secret Uh store
- 38:26Speaker 1: throwing a tantrum and she kind of attacked the woman.
- 38:30Speaker 1: I guess the woman was a sister recording her on
- 38:33Speaker 1: tiktop and st arguing about drs. I don't know what
- 38:37Speaker 1: they were arguing about. This woman had a tantrum for
- 38:40Speaker 1: a long time in Victoria over some pettis what I god,
- 38:47Speaker 1: I don't know what it was old. I don't know
- 38:49Speaker 1: what's wrong with crazy. She hit the black woman and
- 38:52Speaker 1: then just backed up, started crying because she knew she
- 38:54Speaker 1: was recording. She screaming, don't don't. Yeah, she tried to
- 39:00Speaker 1: come at her. She tried to be the victim. Kareno,
- 39:04Speaker 1: what did the sister do? Kept Riccordner and kept calling
- 39:08Speaker 1: her Karen, Karen, Karen? All right? Coming up with thirty
- 39:13Speaker 1: four minutes after, we'll see what's on Barack Obama's playlist
- 39:17Speaker 1: for the summer. Right after this, you're listening to the

- 39:44Speaker 1: It's a mix of old and new, household names and
- 39:47Speaker 1: emerging artists, and a whole lot in between. Obama Summertime
- 39:52Speaker 1: soundtrack includes Jay Z's The Lord, j Cole's Neighbors, Bruno Mars,
- 39:56Speaker 1: and Anderson Packs Leave the Door Open. They're all songs

- 49:57Speaker 1: But everybody's saying. Everybody's saying it swim trans that that
- 50:00Speaker 1: streak that's too much plans for needs to be gone

- 54:03Speaker 1: is the Strawberry lettuce subject I lost my girl over
- 54:08Speaker 1: a glass of champagne. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm at the
- 54:12Speaker 1: love of my life four years ago, right after I
- 54:15Speaker 1: got out of a terrible marriage. My woman is educated,
- 54:18Speaker 1: very established and dropped dead gorgeous. She grew up in
- 54:23Speaker 1: the suburbs, and I grew up on the other side
- 54:25Speaker 1: of the tracks. I've assimilated well and I have a
- 54:29Speaker 1: great career, but my hood side still comes out when
- 54:33Speaker 1: I least expected. She loved my corporate and hood sides.
- 54:38Speaker 1: For the first time, I was comfortable being myself around
- 54:41Speaker 1: a woman. She is the polar opposite of my ex wife.
- 54:46Speaker 1: She doesn't argue and she's a great listener. She's cool
- 54:50Speaker 1: with me having a female best friend and other female
- 54:53Speaker 1: friends because she's not insecure at all. I will admit
- 54:56Speaker 1: that I'm insecure and I don't want her to have
- 54:59Speaker 1: male friends, so I'm glad she doesn't. I let my
- 55:03Speaker 1: hood ways and insecurity break up my relationship. A month ago,
- 55:07Speaker 1: my lady invited me to an open house for her
- 55:09Speaker 1: son's private school, and we were eager to make a
- 55:12Speaker 1: great first impression. When we walked in, she pointed out
- 55:16Speaker 1: the only other black man in the room and told
- 55:19Speaker 1: me he's a divorced single dad. I saw how he
- 55:23Speaker 1: looked at her, but I let his slide. A few
- 55:26Speaker 1: minutes later, he grabbed two glasses of champagne and headed
- 55:30Speaker 1: towards us, and I kept my eyes on him. He
- 55:33Speaker 1: came up and spoke to her and gave her a
- 55:36Speaker 1: glass of champagne without acknowledging me. I told him that
- 55:41Speaker 1: my lady doesn't like champagne and if she was thirsty,
- 55:44Speaker 1: I'd get her a drink. I was rather loud, so
- 55:47Speaker 1: a few people turned around. My lady told me that
- 55:50Speaker 1: I disappointed her and I should be able to control
- 55:54Speaker 1: my hood side in any situation. I've worked too hard
- 55:58Speaker 1: to be a better man for her or it to
- 56:00Speaker 1: end like this, she said, We're not equally yoked and
- 56:04Speaker 1: it's over. Apologizing won't fix this. How can I get
- 56:08Speaker 1: my lady back? Okay, this is a tough one because
- 56:15Speaker 1: I think this woman honestly did you a favor breaking
- 56:20Speaker 1: it off with you. I mean, all you did was
- 56:22Speaker 1: check the guy who was so very disrespectful to you,
- 56:26Speaker 1: your relationship, your girl, everything. I don't know too many
- 56:29Speaker 1: men who would have held it together as well as
- 56:31Speaker 1: you did under these circumstances. Some guys would have just
- 56:35Speaker 1: right then and there punched his lights out for what
- 56:37Speaker 1: he did, and nothing happened. Anyway. A few people turned around.
- 56:41Speaker 1: You said, that's it. I mean, her son is still
- 56:44Speaker 1: in the school. I'm assuming they didn't press charges or whatever.
- 56:47Speaker 1: I mean, they didn't do anything. You know. The sad
- 56:50Speaker 1: part is that she got you thinking that that's hood No,
- 56:55Speaker 1: that's a man. I mean, I think he handled it
- 56:58Speaker 1: like a man would have undle that situation. The only
- 57:01Speaker 1: thing that was bad about it was that it was
- 57:03Speaker 1: at her son's school. I mean, I get that, So
- 57:06Speaker 1: you could have tried to control yourself out of respect
- 57:09Speaker 1: for the location and everything. You didn't. He set you
- 57:12Speaker 1: off by what he did and what happened happened? Was
- 57:15Speaker 1: it something to break up over? Well, apparently that's what
- 57:18Speaker 1: she thinks. I mean, I thought you said she loved you, know,
- 57:22Speaker 1: your corporate and your hood side. I guess not. I
- 57:26Speaker 1: guess that was not accurate. But I don't think she
- 57:30Speaker 1: was all the way in anyway. I just don't. I
- 57:33Speaker 1: don't see her being all the way in in this relationship.
- 57:36Speaker 1: It sounds like you're way more into her. In the letter,
- 57:38Speaker 1: you made a lot of changes for her, and you
- 57:40Speaker 1: really still couldn't be yourself. I think her behavior was
- 57:44Speaker 1: not cool at all. She should have told a guy
- 57:47Speaker 1: no to the drink, and because she didn't, it makes
- 57:50Speaker 1: me think is there something going on between the two
- 57:53Speaker 1: of them? She pointed him out to you and all
- 57:55Speaker 1: of that. I just think you gave her an out
- 57:58Speaker 1: when you put him in his place, So instead of
- 58:01Speaker 1: worrying about how to get her back. I really think
- 58:04Speaker 1: you should consider all the sacrifices and changes that you
- 58:08Speaker 1: made for her over the years, only to realize that
- 58:11Speaker 1: it still wasn't good enough. Steve, I lost my girl
- 58:20Speaker 1: over a glass of champagne. After hearing this letter, that
- 58:25Speaker 1: seems a big trite to me. That seems just a
- 58:30Speaker 1: little bit suspect, a little inadequate. How do you lose
- 58:36Speaker 1: your girl over a glass of champagne. Well, I think
- 58:39Speaker 1: it's more than that. I think it's been a build up.
- 58:43Speaker 1: I think one thing has led to another. And I'm
- 58:46Speaker 1: gonna show you something, little brother. I'm at the love
- 58:49Speaker 1: of my life. Four years ago. It got a terrible marriage.
- 58:52Speaker 1: My woman is educated, established, drop dead gorge, and she
- 58:55Speaker 1: grew up in the suburbs. I grew up on another
- 58:57Speaker 1: side of the track. I've assimilated well a great career,
- 59:00Speaker 1: but my hood side comes out when I least expected.
- 59:05Speaker 1: That means you ain't got it in check yet. But
- 59:08Speaker 1: I understand because I am exactly that way all right.
- 59:13Speaker 1: She loved my culprit and hood side. For the first time,
- 59:16Speaker 1: I was comfortable being myself around the woman. She's the
- 59:19Speaker 1: polar opposite of Max why she don't argue. She's a
- 59:23Speaker 1: great listener. Now here's the part with her. Let her
- 59:26Speaker 1: get crazy. She's cool with me having a female best
- 59:28Speaker 1: friend and other female friends because she's not insecure at all. Okay,
- 59:36Speaker 1: I will admit that I'm insecure and I don't want
- 59:38Speaker 1: her to have any male friends. So I'm glad she
- 59:40Speaker 1: does it. Okay, Now let me say something this all
- 59:46Speaker 1: these girlfriends you got that's gonna come back to bite you,
- 59:50Speaker 1: and I think it has, and I'll show you what
- 59:52Speaker 1: I'm talking about. And then secondly, I'm not insecure and
- 59:57Speaker 1: I don't want her to have any male friends, so
- 59:59Speaker 1: I'm glad she doesn't. So you think, so? You think?
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: And I think that's male friend is going to show
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: up later on in this letter. You think so, Steve,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I think the male friend is going to show up
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: in this letter? All right? Will we come back here?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I come yeah, all right. We'll have part two of
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes after the
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: hour Today's Strawberry Letters subject I lost my girl over
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: a glass of champagne. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject I lost my
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: girl over a glass of champagne. Dude claims it meant
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: the love of his life four years ago after a
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: terrible marriage. He loves this woman. She's at ak educated,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: very established, drop dead gorgeous. She grew up in the suburbs.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: You grew up on the other side of the track,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: you say, as you've assimilated well, got a great career.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Mahuicide steal comes out when I least expected, I said,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: of course, on the staying that mine due too. She
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: loved my corporative hood size. For the first time, I
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: was comfortable being myself around a woman. She's a polar
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: opposite of my ex wife. She doesn't argue, and she's
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: a great listener. She's cool with me having a female
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: best friend and other female friends because she's not insecure
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: at all. Boy, ain't nobody cool with all that? Don't
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: you believe that? Ain't nobody cool with all that? You
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: got a female best friend and a lot of other
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: female friends. Dog, ain't nobody cool with that? Ain't nobody
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: cool with that? Don't even listen to that. I've been
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: around a long time. Dog, ain't no woman cool with
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: that unless she got something. So let's get into that.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: I will admit that I'm insecure and I don't want
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: her to have any male friends. So I'm glad she doesn't.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: So you think, but I think this male friend gonna
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: show up in a minute. I let my hood ways
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: as insecurity, break up my relationship. A month ago, my
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: lady invited me to an open house for her son's
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: private school. We would either make a great We were
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: eager to make a great and first impression. When we
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: walked in, she pointed out the only other black man
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: in the room and told me he's a divorced single dad. Now,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: let me ask you something, dog, Why is it that
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: as soon as y'all walk in, she gotta make sure
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: you aware of him because she's aware of him, and
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: because he's aware of her. Point blank, she dropped dead gorgeous.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: He noticed that he's a single day. You don't think
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: he'd have noticed that. And she walked in and point
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: out to you, that's the only other black man after
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: school and he's a single father. Well, she know an
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: awful lot not to hand no friends. I saw her.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: He looked at her, but I let it slide. A
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: few minutes later, he grabbed two glasses of champagne headed
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: towards us. I kept my eyes on it. He came
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: up and spoke to her and gave her a glasses
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: champagne without acknowledging me. Well see he gave her glass
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: of champagne. That ain't the first time he didn't talk
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: to her without acknowledging you. He just walked up to
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: her with this champagne for no reason. Partner, what you crazy?
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: You think they just met that night? No, they talked
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: all the time. You just said she ain't got no
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: male friends, and you glass she don't. He just bought
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: two glass of champagne over there. Think he just picked
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: out a random out the bunch. Come on, sold you.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I told him that my lady don't like champagne and
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: if she was thirsty, i'd get her a drink. Well
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: you didn't, and she took to drink and he bought
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: it over that because he didn't give a damnage she
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: was thirsty or not. He was hauling at her like
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: he normally do. I was rather loud, so a few
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: people turned around. My lady told me that I disappointed her,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: and I be able to control my hood side in
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: any situation. I've worked too hard to be a better
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: man for her. For at the end like that, she said,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: we're not equally yoked, and it's over apologizing won't fix this? Well, certain,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: let me explain something to you. You think you really
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: think this over glass of champagne, that's what you think?
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: This is A woman told you over glass of champagne,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: we are not equally yoked. She'd been preparing this speech
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: for a minute now. And the reason after what she
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: told you you're not equally yoke because the dude has
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: pointed that out to her. I promise you that. Oh damn,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: that's who you went. Oh that's how he act around here.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I bring you a glass of champagne and that's his reaction. Wow,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: that's a bit much to me. I could assure you
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: a little prim proper. How does he speak ahead? I'm
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: certain that that wasn't it? That that was quite a
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: bit that was offensive to me. I can't believe he
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: reacted that way. Where boys, that's the Bushit a single dad,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: the only other black man in the family in it.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: And now she's presenting himself this way so she can
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: set the difference between the corporate man and the hood man.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: And that's what didn't happen to you. Dog. She didn't
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: just decide that you all are unequally yoked this. She's
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: been building the case for a while. That's why she
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: ain't said nothing about your girlfriends, because she she got
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: She got male friends too. I ain't saying she's seeing nobody,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: but I'm saying she got a male friend. You don't
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: think that man didn't ask for her number? Are you crazy?
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Single gorgeous woman to help at the school. She didn't
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: immediately told you this is the only other black man
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: at the school, and he's a single dad boy. Sir,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: she said, we're not equally yoked, and it's over. Apologizing
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: won't fix this. How could I get my lady back? Well, dog,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: I think she's gone, but I want to show you something.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I think she likes this guy and she was just
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: looking for a reason, and you gave it to it.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: He's probably her gaffrey and that you don't think she
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: has the one that you don't know about. And let
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: me tell you something. If something this small breaks, y'all
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: up a glass of champagne. What's gonna happen when the
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: big stuff happened, because this is what number the glass
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: of champagne and this broke y'all up. Dog, y'all must
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: have been on thin ice and hug together by some
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: real thin as thread. I don't think you had nothing, though.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I think it's time for you to move on, all right.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Thank you, Steve. Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: at Steve Harvey. We'll go back up to the school
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: and whisper just one more thing and is here though
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook, and check out the Strawberry Letter
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: podcast coming up in forty six minutes after the hour
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: of Sports stop with Junior. Right after this you're listening
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: to show. All right, here we go. Junior is here
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: with sports. What you're got Junior? All right? We know
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: the Olympics is coming up, and this is something we
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: didn't get talk about because we want vacation. But I
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: want you to know that Carl Richardson has been turned
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: down for the relay races as well. I it was
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: a mistake. She admitted to it. She owned up to it. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: I ain't mad at the rules. Rules. Yeah. And here's
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: the thing though, everybody was making a fuss out, well,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: you know, like Michael Phelps did it. Well, here's the thing.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Michael Phelps was taking a picture and he had a
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: ball in his hand. But he tested him. When he
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: tested him, he was negative. That's why everybody's like, what
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: let her run? You know? And you know, I just
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I just hate. She needs to call Michael and find
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: out what Michael had. What Michael he What did Mike take?
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: What did Mike take after he got through getting fun?
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Need that after fun? Uh? A little sample? You need that? Yeah,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: But you know it's like it's like it's like but
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: it's like, you know, like it's just an opportunity, you know,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: and hopefully, you know, we get the lesson from this
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: opportunity to be missed, and then you know, we're gonna
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: move on. Because she's young, She's gonna be in another one.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: You know what. Man, I'm still supporting her though, I'm
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: still I'm still supporting and I just heard there are
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: other runners, you know, there are other Olympians that we
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: could be watching out for as well, you know that
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: are going to be in track and field that we love. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: and they're gonna be running. But I'm just saying for
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: the one that's not running, and we know she's lightning
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: speed and we don't we're not gonna get to see
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: her the way we want to see her. I'm just
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: letting her know, keep your head up, baby girl. We
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: know you're coming back, and we cheered for you. You
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: you made a mistake, and and well I'm not gonna
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: beat up because she made You can't beat up. I
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: had made a million mistakes, so we're not. But you know,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: a crazy time you be hearing people talking about her. Yeah,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: she did all this, and I said, hey, to ask
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: you something, you know, would you have to track me?
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: I can't see you out there on the track. You
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: know you're talking all this knowing you can't b Yeah,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: you can't run that. So what did you talk about?
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: So let her make it with that? Man? Another thing though,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: you know your man man Connor McGregor is still talking.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: He had the surgery on his legs and everything went well.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: But this is what he had to say. This, This
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: is what he said after he had his surgery. Con
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: mcgreg just out of the surgery room. Everything went to
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: plan and everything went perfect. I'm feeling tremendous. We got
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: six weeks on the crouch now and then we begin
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: to build back, you know, dusting. You can celebrate that
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: illegitimate when all you want, but you've done nothing in there.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: That second round would have shown all. And you know
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I'm riching up what we go to him. We dushed
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: ourselves off, we build ourselves back, and we come back
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: better than ever. Let's go to him, okay, like the president?
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Well yeah, yeah, no, he didn't say nothing about the
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: man's wife. But I don't know what he's talking about.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Get to that second round because he didn't do well
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: in the first he did so he did so we'll
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: see what happens. Though. We gonna find out, thank you, Junior.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll find
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: out what Drake did at Dodger Stadium. He rented the
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: whole thing out for a date. We'll talk about it,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: right you're listening to show, all right, So Drake the rapper,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Drake goes all out for his dates. Ladies, listen to this.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: All you have to do is ask one Joanna Leah,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: he recently rented out Dodger Stadium. Did you hear me?
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: I said? He recently rented out Dodgers Stadium for what
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: intimal for an intimate dinner with this woman. His lady
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: loved their calling her. ABC seven in Los Angeles caught
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: footage of the date in a random flyover. They spotted
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: the two seated at a table along the third baseline
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: in front of the dugout, with an assortment of food,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: surrounded by what appears to be multiple vases filled with flowers.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: As if that wasn't enough, there was also a waiter
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: at a separate table just a few beat from them,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: and apparently the relationship has been going on for months.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: They met because of high school basketball. See Joanna's son
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: plays with lebron James Son and Bronnie James. We know him.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: The assumption is that Drake met her when he came
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: to see Bronnie play. Okay, so Steve, here's a question
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: for you for all of the brothers out there listening
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: that may not have Drake's money, because again, Drake runted
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: out Dodger Stadium, put a big old table in front
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: of the dugout with a waiter seated nearby. So you know,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: if they don't have Drake money like that, give them
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: some suggestions and some tips. Well, you're gonna have to
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: do this down at the high school field for starters.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: A whole school had to go down to the high
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: school field. You're gonna to clownb of fence. They're not
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: unlocking that at night. No, the clown of fence. Get
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: some bolt cutters because you're hole in the fence. Make
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: it real sexy. Yeah, nah, that's about. That's about it.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: Come day right now, rent out Dodger Stadium. Now, I'm
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: gonna tell you right now, he didn't rent out Dodger Stadium.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: He made a phone call and pulled some strains because
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: I don't give a damn. You can do something weird
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: balled than that, then renting out that whole damn stadium
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: for no damn dinner, no right now. Yeah, Oh it's sexy.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I no, No, I ain't knocking it. I think it's
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: straight gangster. Yeah, but I'm saying he didn't rent out
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the entire stadium. He pulled, pulled in a favor. See
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: that's a FA connection. You're not renting out that damn stadium.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: I don't give a damn how much money you got.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: I mean, oh, he got plenty of money. Got the
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: money to rent to stadium. Don't get them run Okay, okay, yeah,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: back in the day to rent Phillips Arena. That's with
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: no security and nothing, Phillips Arena. It was eighty five
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: to one twenty five as I remember. But now, but yeah,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: you said Dodger Stadium did whoa boy he night. Now
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: let me tell you something that was straight. Player. I
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: want you to understand it. Hats off to you, Drake,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: Hats off to your pills. But now fellas, get that
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: out of your mind. Let's do some substitutes that you
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: can do. Okay, okay, you can go and buy a
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: third base. Put that in your back y'all. That's you know,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: you could buy a third base. That'd be right there.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: You know, you know, you know, you know. You can
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: make a minutaure baseball diamond in your backyard. You could
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: do that all all. You can cut on oh video
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Major League Baseball game and put that up on the
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: screen and have your dinner in front of the TV.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Act like, yeah, I'm just trying to tell you what
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: You're not gonna do what Drake did. Now, that's straight
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: MOBBYN Go ahead, Drake, I ain't man at you. Man,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: hat talk to you one player to another one. I
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: take my hat off to you. On that one right there.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: That was games. It was all right. Thank you, Steve
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Moore of Today's Trending Stories on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: We'll be back at twenty minutes after the hour, right
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show. All right, So, did
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: you guys see the white man from New Jersey who
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: went viral for screaming race slurs and harassing his black neighbors. Yeah,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: he gave out his address on the video and basically
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: challenged people to show up at his house. This was
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: all over Instagram. Yes, we all saw his address. Yeah,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: he gave out his address. He showed up. He was
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: foul and vile with it, he really was. When we
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: allow up? Did somebody show up? Listening is fundamental story?
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Did show up? Somebody? Women there? What is showing this
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: all come? Well? We all saw when people accepted his
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: challenge and showed up at his house and protested. Edward
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: Matthews was humiliated. He was arrested and charged with drugs, weapons, assault,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: and stocking. The community came together, which is a good news,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: and handled their business. So yeah, Tommy, they showed up.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: And how many people went on, now, Shirley a lot?
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: About three million Steve, how about that for everybody video
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: He gave out his address like he okay, right, like
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: like nothing was gonna happen. It was when they threw
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: the Black Lives Matter flag at him when they were
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: arresting him. That did it for me. Did did they
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: drape it over him? Like he was like he was
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Jane Brown? Did they draped over all? Right, We'll have
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up in
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after right after this, you're listening to
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right. So this was
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: the weirdest thing. I'm still shaking my head on this one.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: A black woman has gun viral, gun viral after she
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: arrived at her fiftieth birthday party. Get this guy's in
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: a casket in a casket? Okay, yeah, what listen to
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: the theme of the part party? It was life after Death.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: The woman was willing to a venue in a glass
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: topped casket while a poem titled life after Death was
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: recited as she made her entrance. Then she emerged from
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: the casket. Then she walked into the party and was
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: just singing and everything. I'm still confused. I'm still shaking
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: my head I saw it happened. It didn't make no
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: sense if you're trying to make the point that turning
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: fifty was like dying for you, and there's life after death,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: there's other ways of doing it. But I don't I
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: don't understand. The cab was ridiculous to me. And then
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: and then they had to help her ass get up
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: off the damn gurney. Now I don't know what she
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: was doing under that glass casket, but you look close
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: to me. I don't know. I don't. I've never seen
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: anybody pretend like they was deaf and then right a
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: poem and go through all that. But the people around
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: that taking her serious? All right now, anybody buying into
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: this ignorant ass mess on some stuff. To me, you
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: just don't play with. I don't play with them who
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: thought this was which one of your friends thought this
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: was a good Yeah, girl, that's it right there. Go ahead.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I didn't run that by anyone. Now, you play too
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: much with that career speaking. I also say, I'd also
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: like to say I had a damn thing to do
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: with the poll. Let's clear that up right. I just
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: want to that is not my work. That was crazy.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Where were you gonna say, Carlin Space viral videos, what
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: did y'all see Karen A Karen in the Victoria's Secrets
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: uh door, throwing a tantrum and she kind of attacked
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: the woman. I guess the woman was a sister recording
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: her on tiktop and just tu. I don't know what
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: they were arguing about. This woman had a tantrum for
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: a long time in Victoria's pettis. I don't know what
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: it was old, I don't know what's wrong. She hit
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: the black woman and then just backed up started crying
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: because she knew she was recording. She's screaming, don't don't
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: tell her. Yeah, she tried to come after. She tried
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: to be the victim. Karen tried to turn right into
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: what did the sister do? Keder and kept calling her Karen, Karen, Karen.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: All right, coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: it will be our last break of the day on
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: this Tuesday, and of course we'll have some closing remarks
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: from our fearless leader, the one and only Steve Harvey
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, guys, Here we
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: are last break of the day. This is Tuesday day. Yeah,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: really very good day. In closing today, I want to
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: talk about something, um, I want to impress upon people, uh,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: the importance of faith. I was talking about it yesterday,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: but the difference between faith without works is dead in
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: this conversation I had with a young man. So today
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I just wanted to continue, but I wanted to talk
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: to everybody out there about the significance and the importance
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: of faith. Look, we live in such a world today
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: that it's almost not cool to talk about your faith
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: because of IG and Facebook and you know all these
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: social media this everybody works for likes and approval and
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: comments and follow and all of this, and nobody really
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: talks about how cool it is to be a person
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: of faith. But it really really is man And because
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: it gives you a place of protection when you have faith,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: it gives you a place to go when you need direction.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: It just gives you an edge I found. Well, Steve,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: what do you mean by edge? Well, it's very simple.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I can use myself as the best example. People who
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: have followed me on the radio show for any number
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: of years. I've had radio fans for over twenty one years,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: have followed me everywhere I've gone on the Radio, Shirley
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: and Tommy and Carla and Junior and all of us,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: you know, followed us for years at one point in time.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: You've seen my missteps get played out publicly. You've seen
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: some mistakes I've made get played out publicly. You've seen
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: me had to stand in the face of fire publicly.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I don't think there's a person that has followed my
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: career has not seen me face public scrutiny and all
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: of these things that I've had to face. I want
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: to tell you something. I was able to get through
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: it because I didn't face any of it alone. I
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: happened to be a person of faith. I happened to
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: be a child of Gods, and so are you. And
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: the fact that I'm willing to acknowledge that gives me
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: a certain amount of strength that some people can't seem
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: to muster because they seem to be in this thing
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: all by themselves. But if you're a person of faith,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: you're not in it by yourself. See that tax that
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I've been under. You didn't just attack me. You attack
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: a child of God. I'm one of his children. And
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you that you are too, that
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: you can reside under the protection of His wings. That
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: you don't have to stand out there and feel like
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: it's just you and you all alone by yourself, because
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: you're not. He promised to be with you in the
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: worst of times, in the best of times, when you
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: can call on nobody else, you can call on your faith.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: I've done it time and time again. I'm a living
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: witness to the fact that God is ever present. That
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: I don't care what you get yourself into. You ain't
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: gotten yourself into nothing God can't get you out of.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: I don't care what it is you going through. You
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: ain't going through nothing that God don't have the ability
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: to pull you through. Steve Harvey is a living witness
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: to that. I'm just talking to you about faith, man,
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: so you can get back to being cool with being
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: a person of faith. Don't worry about what them they
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: say or saying. Don't worry about what them haters say.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: They have no say so in your life unless you
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: give it to them, and I don't. I don't give
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: the Internet no power over me. I don't give social
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: media no power over me. You can take to swipe
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: at me if you want to. I'm not going to respond.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I have learned to be still, to let him do
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: the battle for me. That's hard sometimes because you know
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: you can correct it with this remark or with that remark,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: or you could think that you could put something out there.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: But let me tell you something, when you respond to
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: these people, you're not doing yourself any good. When you
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: respond to these people. You know why because for people
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: who love you, no explanation necessary, but for people who
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: hate you, no explanation acceptable. I don't kill what you
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: say to a hater. If they've made up in their
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: mind to hate, there's nothing you can do. But can
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: I tell you something. It's nothing they can do either.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: They can't do nothing to you that God don't allow
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: to happen. And if God allows some of this to
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: get through, it's only to strengthen you. And sometimes God
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: allows things to happen to people like you and me
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: because he's got a lesson to teach them other people,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: because see, sometimes God allows the stuff to happen to
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: you because he knows you strong enough to take it.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: And the lesson sometimes ain't for you. Sometimes he's trying
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: to show your enemy something. I can't count the time
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: he's prepared a table in front of my enemies. I
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: can't count them. I can't count the times when I
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: know people have laughed behind my back. I can't count
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: the times that my faith has gotten me through. You
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: have this same God available to you, and I know
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: you do, and I know you know it. But you
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: got to get back to being a person of faith.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: That's cool with it. Having faith, it's cool, It's really
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: really cool. I got no problem telling people. That's how
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I got to where I am. I ain't got no
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: problem to I have no other explanation for you anyway.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: How I've gotten through every misstep, every mistake, every public
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: piece of scrutiny, is because I have a faith in God.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: That's that. It's just it's it's powerful man, and it
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: gets me through everything that I need to get through.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: And He's pulled me through everything I've needed to get
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: pulled through. He'll do the same thing for you. Being
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: a person of faith is cool. Don't ever stop being that, okay,
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: because God is good? All right? Those are my closed
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: new laws. Y'all have a greatitating. Talk to God. He
