- 2:10Speaker 2: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Hell man.
- 2:15Speaker 8: God is in the blessing business all day every day.
- 2:18Speaker 8: God got hundreds of millions of blessings that he passes
- 2:22Speaker 8: out every day. All I want to do is be
- 2:27Speaker 8: the recipient that I'm the recipient of what He has
- 2:31Speaker 8: for me. That's all I want. I just want God's favor,
- 2:37Speaker 8: and I go. I want God's blessings. You know, of
- 2:41Speaker 8: course I need his mercy and his grace, but I
- 2:45Speaker 8: just want his blessings and his favor.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I want.
- 2:50Speaker 8: I want that in my life because it does things
- 2:53Speaker 8: for me that I'm absolutely incapable of doing for myself.
- 2:57Speaker 8: And I've been a recipient of many of those. And
- 3:00Speaker 8: you can be the recipient of them too. You already are, really, really,
- 3:05Speaker 8: you already are. If you're getting up every morning, that's
- 3:09Speaker 8: a blessing. If you're getting one day closer to anything
- 3:13Speaker 8: you're trying to accomplish, that's a blessing. But now let
- 3:17Speaker 8: me talk to you about this part right here, folks,
- 3:19Speaker 8: because this is the part that message people up a
- 3:21Speaker 8: great deal. What happens when you get off track? What
- 3:26Speaker 8: is that? What does that mean? When you get off track?
- 3:32Speaker 2: See? I've been off track.
- 3:34Speaker 8: I can't tell you how many times, and it happens
- 3:37Speaker 8: in so many aspects of your life. But what is
- 3:40Speaker 8: it that makes getting off track so debilitating to some people?
- 3:45Speaker 8: You know, there are some people who want theay off track.
- 3:48Speaker 8: They of course, they off the dream. They on to
- 3:52Speaker 8: something else. And you cannot allow the fact that you've
- 3:56Speaker 8: gotten off track to stop you can. I tell you something?
- 4:03Speaker 8: Everybody gets off track. There are people who are living
- 4:09Speaker 8: their life's dreams in spite of getting off track. See
- 4:14Speaker 8: what happens when you get off track? Here's the simple
- 4:17Speaker 8: thing to do. The simple thing is just to get
- 4:20Speaker 8: back on track. Now that's that's But that's easier said
- 4:23Speaker 8: than done, ain't it.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Steve. Yeah.
- 4:25Speaker 8: Because see, people, when you get off track. Here's some
- 4:28Speaker 8: of the things that happen. See you get the here
- 4:32Speaker 8: come to nay says, some of them from the outside,
- 4:35Speaker 8: some of them internally. Here's what gets said when you
- 4:39Speaker 8: get off track. See, I told you, I told you.
- 4:45Speaker 8: You know, you start hearing that it's not for you. Okay,
- 4:53Speaker 8: this is all just because you got off track. It's
- 4:56Speaker 8: not for you.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Okay. Here's another one. Ain't meant to be. You can
- 5:02Speaker 2: hear it all. You could say it. Well, I guess
- 5:05Speaker 2: it's just not meant to be.
- 5:08Speaker 8: But let me ask you a question, though, who made
- 5:11Speaker 8: the rule that when you get off track you can't
- 5:15Speaker 8: get back on?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Who made that rule?
- 5:20Speaker 8: Where has that written that once you get off track
- 5:23Speaker 8: you can't get back on? See, because I'm gonna tell
- 5:27Speaker 8: you something, folks, there's no such rule. As a matter
- 5:31Speaker 8: of fact, it's quite the opposite. See, everybody in pursuit
- 5:37Speaker 8: of a dream, a goal, an aspiration, or mission is
- 5:42Speaker 8: going to get off track. Sometimes you're going to get derailed.
- 5:47Speaker 8: There are going to be days where you're not going
- 5:49Speaker 8: to get it right. There are going to be days
- 5:51Speaker 8: where you feel like giving up. There's going to be
- 5:54Speaker 8: days when you're just gonna flat out get it wrong.
- 5:57Speaker 8: That's the journey. But let me tell you something. Every
- 6:00Speaker 8: successful person that I know, ever met, talked to, set out,
- 6:04Speaker 8: and chopped it up with have shared one thing in common.
- 6:07Speaker 8: We all get off track. We all get it wrong
- 6:12Speaker 8: along the way. I don't care who the person is.
- 6:15Speaker 8: The president got it wrong along the way. Your pastor
- 6:19Speaker 8: got it wrong along the way. Quiet director guy got
- 6:24Speaker 8: it wrong along the way. The principle at your school
- 6:27Speaker 8: got it wrong. Along the way. The valve of victorian
- 6:30Speaker 8: of your class got it wrong along the way. The
- 6:35Speaker 8: star of the team got it wrong along the way.
- 6:39Speaker 8: They've all been off track. Your boss down at your job,
- 6:44Speaker 8: he got it wrong along the way. Your immediate supervisor
- 6:48Speaker 8: got it wrong along the way. Everybody I know that
- 6:53Speaker 8: has any measure of success in every level that you
- 6:57Speaker 8: call success, however you want to label it, has gotten
- 7:00Speaker 8: off track. As a matter of fact, it's impossible. Listen
- 7:07Speaker 8: to me, it is impossible not to get off track
- 7:13Speaker 8: in pursuit of your dreams, goals, visions, aspirations. It is impossible.
- 7:20Speaker 8: Don't you let nobody tell you that they got through
- 7:23Speaker 8: life unscathed, that they made it because they were just
- 7:27Speaker 8: so determined, and I would let nothing turn me back. Yeah,
- 7:30Speaker 8: you might not have let nothing turn you back because
- 7:33Speaker 8: you hear Oh, but you thought about it. Oh, you
- 7:37Speaker 8: thought about it on days when you was off track.
- 7:40Speaker 8: But see, people don't like to tell the whole story.
- 7:42Speaker 8: They just want you to think as much as you
- 7:45Speaker 8: can about them. So when they tell you their story,
- 7:47Speaker 8: they leave out the stuff along the way. It was
- 7:51Speaker 8: just hard work and determination that got me here. No
- 7:54Speaker 8: it wasn't, No, it wasn't. It was the fact that
- 7:57Speaker 8: you got off track and the grace and mercy. See,
- 8:00Speaker 8: if God allowed you to get back on, his forgiveness
- 8:04Speaker 8: allowed you to get back on because you would not
- 8:06Speaker 8: believe what some of the people have done. So when
- 8:09Speaker 8: you get off track, don't allow the naysayers outside and
- 8:14Speaker 8: the big naysayer inside, because let me tell you something,
- 8:18Speaker 8: the biggest naysayer of them all comes from inside. See,
- 8:22Speaker 8: it don't matter what other people say out there. It
- 8:24Speaker 8: takes some time for you to learn this. And I
- 8:26Speaker 8: understand because it took me some time to learn it. See,
- 8:29Speaker 8: I have a lot of naysayers out there, but I
- 8:32Speaker 8: ain't operating for them, operating function for the ones that
- 8:36Speaker 8: love me, for the ones that get me, for the
- 8:39Speaker 8: ones that understand what I'm really trying to do.
- 8:42Speaker 2: And so don't you be the one.
- 8:46Speaker 8: That doesn't allow yourself to get back on track when
- 8:50Speaker 8: you get off track, because, like I said, who made
- 8:53Speaker 8: the rule up that you can't get back on track?
- 8:56Speaker 8: There's no such rule out there. Stop stopping yourself from
- 9:02Speaker 8: getting it right. So what you started to die at
- 9:05Speaker 8: the beginning of the year, and you already off start
- 9:08Speaker 8: another one, start over, try it again, don't ever stop trying.
- 9:15Speaker 2: If you stop trying, you can't make it.
- 9:17Speaker 8: But if you never give up the effort, if you
- 9:20Speaker 8: never give up and say it's.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Over, it ain't over.
- 9:23Speaker 8: You heard the saying it ain't over, to the fat
- 9:25Speaker 8: lady saying I never invite her.
- 9:29Speaker 2: She's not invited. It ain't over.
- 9:33Speaker 8: To the fat lady saying I don't know where the
- 9:35Speaker 8: fat lady stay. I have not sent her an invitation
- 9:39Speaker 8: to none of my events. She's not welcome here. She
- 9:43Speaker 8: didn't ask me a couple of times how come I
- 9:45Speaker 8: never get invited? Because you're gonna start saying it and
- 9:49Speaker 8: I ain't got time for that, all right, stop inviting
- 9:53Speaker 8: the fat lady to all your events.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your undivided attention. Another day,
- 10:08Speaker 8: another chance, another blessing, another moment of grace, another gift.
- 10:15Speaker 8: How you want to look at it, but please look
- 10:19Speaker 8: at it though, because this is amazing, man, This is
- 10:23Speaker 8: absolutely amazing that we keep being allowed to exist still
- 10:30Speaker 8: in a space and time.
- 10:31Speaker 2: That is so good to me. That is so good
- 10:35Speaker 2: to me, man.
- 10:36Speaker 8: And whatever problems you may have, you're gonna get past
- 10:41Speaker 8: them too. Have you noticed, according to your track record,
- 10:46Speaker 8: that every problem you have ever had, you have somehow
- 10:50Speaker 8: managed it and gotten through it. Have do you realize
- 10:53Speaker 8: that that's that's pretty good man, that's back in a thousand. Okay,
- 10:59Speaker 8: that's God right there. That's called grace and favor, and
- 11:02Speaker 8: I'll take it. You remember how old people used to saying,
- 11:04Speaker 8: all I want is a little more grace, a little
- 11:07Speaker 8: more grace. If you get grace, man, grace is bigger
- 11:11Speaker 8: than anything. Who Lord have mercy? Shirley Strawberry calling for
- 11:14Speaker 8: real Mississippi, Monica Jr. And the Legend of Nephew Thomas Jr.
- 11:21Speaker 8: Go tee what's on your mind? And go tea strong today? Boy?
- 11:25Speaker 8: You know, you know, you know man, you know Julia,
- 11:28Speaker 8: they go tee, they go tea in the stash is
- 11:30Speaker 8: coming in strong and it's looking.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I know. See the reason my mustache.
- 11:35Speaker 8: Looks when I when I got it groomed and died.
- 11:39Speaker 2: The reason mine is so they because it's nothing but that.
- 11:45Speaker 8: And see you that now we go, yeah you that
- 11:49Speaker 8: now it ain't nothing but go tea in that because
- 11:51Speaker 8: all your nutrients can go to your go tea and
- 11:54Speaker 8: mustache now because it ain't no more.
- 11:56Speaker 9: Hell I guess yeah?
- 12:02Speaker 1: Is it?
- 12:04Speaker 10: Is it okay for us to pat ourselves on the
- 12:06Speaker 10: back when we winning?
- 12:08Speaker 9: Do you patch yourself on the back when you went?
- 12:10Speaker 9: Do you celebrate well? And how do you celebrate the win?
- 12:14Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 12:15Speaker 8: You gotta celebrate them. You should celebrate your wins.
- 12:22Speaker 11: Now.
- 12:22Speaker 8: I don't know if you've ever tried to patch yourself
- 12:24Speaker 8: on the back, but you know how difficult that is.
- 12:28Speaker 8: And the reason it's hard is because your hand don't
- 12:31Speaker 8: belong back there.
- 12:34Speaker 2: See. The reason is set up that way.
- 12:35Speaker 8: Why so hard to patch yourself on the back is
- 12:38Speaker 8: because you're not set up that way to patch yourself
- 12:42Speaker 8: on the back. See now you wants to take credit
- 12:47Speaker 8: for some God did and it ain't a natural thing
- 12:51Speaker 8: to do. Now, should you celebrate your wins, absolutely, but
- 12:55Speaker 8: in your celebration, make sure you are all of thanks
- 13:01Speaker 8: for the celebration, because all good things.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Come from above.
- 13:09Speaker 8: Amen, all good things my glory, God made women, so
- 13:19Speaker 8: that's a good thing from above. Raising and my mind
- 13:24Speaker 8: had drifted. All all good things come from above, and
- 13:27Speaker 8: then I thought about the things that I had and.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Wasn't from.
- 13:32Speaker 12: All right, thank you guys.

- 49:45Speaker 15: And I want to know, how do you know when
- 49:48Speaker 15: I get home and turn on my lights? I mean, like,

- 50:43Speaker 15: turn on my lights. So you know you're gonna have
- 50:45Speaker 15: to deal with it.
- 50:46Speaker 5: No, I'm not finna deal with it. You're gonna have
- 50:48Speaker 5: to actually turn the lights off. Now, I understand. Do

- 56:41Speaker 2: You never know.
- 56:42Speaker 14: Bugle up and hold on tight. We got it for
- 56:43Speaker 14: you here. It is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:46Speaker 13: Thank you nephews. Subject is my husband tired of being
- 56:50Speaker 13: with me? Dear Stephen Shirley. I saw a lady story
- 56:53Speaker 13: online where she and her husband were on vacation and
- 56:56Speaker 13: she was doing a lot of videos of him and
- 56:58Speaker 13: her and he would look at her and he looked
- 57:01Speaker 13: irritated by her. She noticed it on the video and
- 57:04Speaker 13: called him out for it and went viral online. And
- 57:07Speaker 13: I think they're getting a divorce now. I'm going through
- 57:12Speaker 13: the same situation with my husband of twelve years, but
- 57:15Speaker 13: I can't afford to do something that I might regret.
- 57:18Speaker 13: So I need advice on how to fix my husband
- 57:20Speaker 13: or fix my marriage, or whatever I need to do
- 57:23Speaker 13: so I don't ruin my children's lives. About four years ago,
- 57:28Speaker 13: I noticed a change in my husband and it seemed
- 57:30Speaker 13: like he was tired of me. He stopped being silly
- 57:33Speaker 13: with me, and he would sit silent across from me
- 57:36Speaker 13: in the mornings when we had breakfast together. He started
- 57:39Speaker 13: only doing things with me if the kids were involved.
- 57:42Speaker 13: Sex was different and he didn't have any passion in
- 57:45Speaker 13: it anymore. Last Christmas, he didn't want to dress up
- 57:49Speaker 13: like me and the kids for our annual family photo,
- 57:52Speaker 13: so I skipped it and the kids were bummed. I
- 57:54Speaker 13: started inviting him on dates and he always refused. He
- 57:58Speaker 13: started calling me silly, childish, and at times ratchet. I'm
- 58:02Speaker 13: never ratchet, and he used to love joking around with
- 58:05Speaker 13: me and playing pranks on the kids. I stopped talking
- 58:08Speaker 13: to him for a few days and he didn't even care.
- 58:11Speaker 13: It makes me think that he is tired of me
- 58:14Speaker 13: after fifteen years of being with me. He doesn't treat
- 58:17Speaker 13: the kids differently, just me. And before you ask, I
- 58:20Speaker 13: have not gained any weight and I can still drop
- 58:23Speaker 13: it like it's hot. So please tell me what's going
- 58:26Speaker 13: on with my man? Is this fixable or is this
- 58:30Speaker 13: a sign that my marriage is in trouble.
- 58:33Speaker 1: If it's fixable, where do we start?
- 58:36Speaker 2: Woo?
- 58:37Speaker 13: Yeah, I know a couple of things right off the bed. First,
- 58:41Speaker 13: I'm sorry you're going through all of this. This I
- 58:43Speaker 13: really am. I know this hurts. I do believe some
- 58:47Speaker 13: bad marriages are fixable, but it depends on what the
- 58:50Speaker 13: bad is.
- 58:51Speaker 1: You don't know.
- 58:52Speaker 13: You just say your man is changed towards you, and
- 58:55Speaker 13: that this happens around four years ago. I mean, it's
- 58:59Speaker 13: hard to think that you allowed yourself to be treated
- 59:02Speaker 13: this way for four long years. You say you don't
- 59:05Speaker 13: want to ruin it for the kids, which I understand,
- 59:08Speaker 13: but what about you? And I'll also say this, depending
- 59:12Speaker 13: on how old your kids are. They can sense if
- 59:16Speaker 13: something's wrong between their parents, you know, if there's no love,
- 59:19Speaker 13: if he's treating you differently and all that. I'm glad
- 59:22Speaker 13: you're no longer in denial though, because yes, he has
- 59:25Speaker 13: checked all the way out of this marriage and now
- 59:29Speaker 13: he doesn't want to do things with the kids either.
- 59:31Speaker 13: But back to you, I'm glad you've kept yourself together.
- 59:35Speaker 13: You said you haven't gained any weight. You could still
- 59:37Speaker 13: drop it like it's hot, because this is a mess.
- 59:40Speaker 13: Instead of not talking to him like you tried to
- 59:43Speaker 13: do and gotten a response, you said he didn't care
- 59:46Speaker 13: at all.
- 59:46Speaker 1: You need to talk to this man.
- 59:48Speaker 13: I mean, he at least owes you some sort of
- 59:50Speaker 13: explanation about his change and behavior, because based on what
- 59:54Speaker 13: you've told us, it does sound very much like he's
- 59:57Speaker 13: got another woman stash somewhere. Kick you to the curb,
- 1:00:01Speaker 13: as simple as that he's out of this marriage.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Wow wow, he got another woman somewhere.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Uh yeah, stash somewhere.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Wow wow.
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: She never mentioned in this letter that she's seen any
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: signs of him cheating. She never mentioned any letter that
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: he's always on his phone texting someone. He doesn't come
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: home at night. So where you got another woman from?
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: I do not know.
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: Let's go down to the bottom of the letter. If
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: it's fixable, where do we start. Well, ma'am, I'm gonna
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: give you a raal hope because this marriage is fixable.
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: Shirley is right about something, though. You all have got
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: to communicate because you have to remember something in a marriage.
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: Both people from the day you say, I do both
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: of you begin to change because nothing stays the same.
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: Everybody changes in life. I don't care who you are.
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: You are not the way you were fifteen years ago.
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: You are not the same person you was twenty twenty
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: five years ago. You're just not. You might think you are,
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: but you're not. And a lot of times when these
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: changes occur when we're not communicating, we end up not
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: liking the person that the other person has become. All
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: we don't like who we've become. But the key, as
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: surely said, is communication. You said you noticed four years
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: ago that he stopped being silly with you. He would
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: sit across from you in the mornings when you had
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: breakfast together. You know, he only does things with you
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: if the kids is involved. So basically, what I'm saying
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: is this, This marriage can be fixed, but we have
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: to start with what's wrong. Because something has changed in
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: you and something has changed in him, and the two
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: new people that you have become. One of them don't
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: like the other person. And right now it looks like
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: it's your husband has changed in some way and he
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: ain't told you what the change was, and you haven't
- 1:02:50Speaker 8: discussed what the change was. Now if the change is
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: someone else, as surely has suggested, but it could not
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: be the case.
- 1:03:00Speaker 13: All right, we're gonna have part two of Steve's response
- 1:03:03Speaker 13: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour Today's
- 1:03:06Speaker 13: Strawberry Letters. Subject is my husband tired of being with me.

- 1:04:22Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:04:24Speaker 13: The subject is is my husband tired of being with me?
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: Well, you know this is a strange letter because Shirley
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: said that the key was communication, which is absolutely correct.
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: Shirley also said it looks like he has another woman,
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: Tuugh somewhere and that could be the cause of the change. Well,
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: it could be, but there's nothing in the letter indicating that.
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: You're not saying he don't come home at night. You're
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: finding him on the phone, he hang up, when you
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: walk in the room, you find in text messages and pictures.
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: You didn't say any of that. So I don't want
- 1:04:59Speaker 8: to put that out there. I don't think that's it.
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: I think what happens is, like I said earlier, when
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: you get married the day after you get married, the
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: two people began to change. Is not because you're married,
- 1:05:15Speaker 8: it's just nobody stays the same.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: You're not the same person you were fifteen years ago.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: You're just not.
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: You're now who you were twenty years ago, twenty five
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: years ago, You're just not.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: There have been subtle changes in both of you.
- 1:05:30Speaker 8: What happens, though, is when you don't communicate, then the
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: new person that you become or the new person that
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: he become, the other person may not like him because,
- 1:05:43Speaker 8: like Shirley said, a lack of communication.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Now, what could be wrong?
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: It could be any number of things, But let me
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: say this on behalf of men.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: Now, Ladies, don't take this the wrong way.
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: This is not a slap against women or nothing, but
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: a lot of men fall into a shell, as they
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: often do, because we're not the best at sharing our
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: thoughts and emotions. A lot of men fall into this thing.
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: Let this guy's in from lack of appreciation. When your
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: whole happiness is based around your providing happiness for other people,
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: you can soon look up and find out you have
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: none for yourself. A guy asked me the other day, said, Steve,
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: what makes you happy? And the first thing I said,
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: was being able to give my children, my grandchildren, my
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: wife the life that they want. That's a big part
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: of making me feel like, really really good about myself.
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: He said, But what makes you happy though, I said, well, fishing.
- 1:06:55Speaker 8: Fishing makes me happy. He said, Okay, when you're not fishing,
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: what makes you happy? I said, won't to go fishing? Yeah,
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: he said, Steve, y'all don't know if you notice this,
- 1:07:13Speaker 8: but you're falling into the category that most men fall into.
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: You don't have anything that makes you happy, and all
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: of your happiness is tied to making other people happy.
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: And that's a true statement, that really is a true statement.
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: But what happens to a man after a while is
- 1:07:31Speaker 8: it saddens him. And if you throw in a lack
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: of appreciation, if nobody ever saying thank you, if nobody
- 1:07:40Speaker 8: ever bigging him up all the time, no, if nobody's
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: sitting there going, man, I'm proud of you. If ain't
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: nobody sitting there going, man, my husband, is this, this, this,
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: and this girl. If y'all had a man like if
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: ain't nobody doing that, your man can sit over there.
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: And started feeling emptier and emptier and emptier and to
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: the point where he has no more to give than
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: the basics protection and provision. And that happens to a
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: lot of men and ladies. That's not your fault, so
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: don't take it that way. I'm just telling you that's
- 1:08:18Speaker 8: what happens to a lot of men. So this man
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: right here, after twelve years of marriage, raising the kids,
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: here's what could have happened. He may not be where
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: he wanted to be financially, probably being kicked down a
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: few times, didn't get the promotions he wanted, never open
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: up the business he wanted to open up. He thought
- 1:08:39Speaker 8: by the time he was forty some years old, he'd
- 1:08:42Speaker 8: be in a lot better position.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: He's not in.
- 1:08:45Speaker 8: Y'all have to check on your men with this type
- 1:08:48Speaker 8: of stuff because once they start feeling that way, we
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: have nowhere to take that too.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: We can't go to our other friends with it.
- 1:08:57Speaker 8: We're not gonna bring it in there to you because
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: we don't want you to be any more disappointed than you've.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Had to have been. This is real talk. This is
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: real talk.
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: So get in there and check on your man because
- 1:09:12Speaker 8: he might be becoming this man because he has no
- 1:09:16Speaker 8: outlets and it's not that he's unhappy with her. A
- 1:09:22Speaker 8: lot of times the man lady can be unhappy with himself.
- 1:09:28Speaker 8: I just wish y'all could see that part of it,
- 1:09:31Speaker 8: because y'all keep wanting a man to be a man.
- 1:09:34Speaker 8: But when he had done all he can do in
- 1:09:36Speaker 8: the manhood department and it ain't going well for him,
- 1:09:39Speaker 8: what do he have?
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: Oh man?
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:09:46Speaker 13: Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter on Steve Harvey

- 1:10:55Speaker 2: I don't know because I can't see nothing, but go ahead.
- 1:10:58Speaker 9: All right, here we go, man.
- 1:11:00Speaker 10: You know, the Bengals beat the Steelers thirty three to
- 1:11:02Speaker 10: thirty one. Don't worry about it up because the Rams
- 1:11:08Speaker 10: beat the Jaguars thirty five to seven. Picked it, yes, sir,
- 1:11:13Speaker 10: Y'allso got the Chiefs beat the Raiders.
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: I don't know what the Raiders was doing. They didn't
- 1:11:17Speaker 9: even show what thirty one to zero. Picked it, yep.
- 1:11:22Speaker 10: The Browns the Browns thirty one to six over the Dolphins.

- 1:11:37Speaker 9: Picked it, yes, you did.

- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Y'ah picked it.
- 1:11:54Speaker 10: The Eagles beat the Vikings twenty eight to twenty two.
- 1:11:59Speaker 9: Picked it, man, this would hurt me right here. Man,
- 1:12:03Speaker 9: they had this game.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:12:04Speaker 10: The Giants fall to the Broncos thirty three to thirty two.
- 1:12:10Speaker 9: Yeah, I missed that one. No, it wasn't your fault, uncle.
- 1:12:13Speaker 10: They kicker missed the field goal at the end of
- 1:12:15Speaker 10: the game and the Broncos man kicked the field goal
- 1:12:17Speaker 10: to win it. Man, it should have been going to overtime,
- 1:12:19Speaker 10: but they missed that.
- 1:12:20Speaker 9: That field goal may hurt them, but here we go.
- 1:12:22Speaker 10: The Packers over the Cardinals twenty seven to twenty three.
- 1:12:27Speaker 9: Picked it, Yes, you did, man, I don't know what
- 1:12:30Speaker 9: happened here. This really upsets me. The Cowboys come on.

- 1:14:23Speaker 13: texting who he's texting. I trust him to a point,
- 1:14:26Speaker 13: but this behavior is starting to make me paranoid. Should
- 1:14:29Speaker 13: I bring this up to him? Or do you think
- 1:14:30Speaker 13: that I'm overreacting? How far should my trust go?
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: Wow?

- 1:23:21Speaker 2: Ain't that the same thing? Well?

- 1:25:09Speaker 13: more of vaccines sponsored by Pfizer. All right, guys, here
- 1:25:13Speaker 13: we are last break of the day, and wow.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: It's been a day for sure, for sure, it's been
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: a day.
- 1:25:21Speaker 13: Thank you to our audience who always rides with us
- 1:25:24Speaker 13: every day.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: We are thank you you you.
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: Yep, hey, I got some enclosed remarks today.
- 1:25:30Speaker 8: You know, we was talking earlier and Junior was asking
- 1:25:33Speaker 8: me the question of in the opening Junior said, UK,
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: should you patch yourself on your back when you accomplish things?
- 1:25:43Speaker 8: Should you celebrate? I said, well, you know it's two things.
- 1:25:49Speaker 8: First of all, you should celebrate your wins in life
- 1:25:53Speaker 8: and have small incremental celebrations all along the way. But
- 1:25:59Speaker 8: in your celebrating, make sure your celebrating is filled with gratitude.
- 1:26:07Speaker 8: That's the real way to celebrate. Celebrate by being grateful,
- 1:26:13Speaker 8: by giving thanks and honor to where that blessing came from.
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: Because however you think it occurred, you do know it
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: wasn't just you, Because if it was just us, we'd
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: arrange all good things to happen, wouldn't we. We'd arrange
- 1:26:35Speaker 8: for it all to happen today. If it was on
- 1:26:38Speaker 8: us everything I've ever asked God for. If it was
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: on me, I would get it immediately at the latest tomorrow.
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: I'm willing to wait till tomorrow. But if I'm afraid
- 1:26:52Speaker 8: about it today, when I wake up, I want it
- 1:26:55Speaker 8: to be Christmas. Yeah, but that's not how it works.
- 1:27:00Speaker 8: So when you accomplished something, yeah, you should celebrate it,
- 1:27:04Speaker 8: but celebrate with gratitude. Junior said, should you patch yourself
- 1:27:08Speaker 8: on the back. I don't know if you've ever tried
- 1:27:10Speaker 8: to do that, but try to patch yourself on the back.
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: Do you have?
- 1:27:13Speaker 8: You noticed the difficulty in it. That's because your hand
- 1:27:19Speaker 8: don't belong there. And I think God kind of designed
- 1:27:23Speaker 8: it that way to be truthful with you. I think
- 1:27:26Speaker 8: he made it kind of hard for people to put
- 1:27:28Speaker 8: their hand on the back and pat theyself on the
- 1:27:30Speaker 8: back because it kind of lets you know, reminds you
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: that you didn't get there on your own, that you
- 1:27:37Speaker 8: had some help along the way. It might have been
- 1:27:40Speaker 8: some friends. It might have been a supervisor, It might
- 1:27:43Speaker 8: have been a coworking, might have been a stranger that
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: you met on the train. It might be a book
- 1:27:49Speaker 8: that you read. Something flick click the switch in you
- 1:27:53Speaker 8: and the light bulb came on. Don't you know That's
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: how God works. God sends you what you need, right
- 1:28:00Speaker 8: when you need it, and he uses a multitude of
- 1:28:03Speaker 8: ways to get it done. Sometimes, God, have you thumbing
- 1:28:07Speaker 8: through your Bible and your usuals. Open your Bible to
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: the perfect scripture.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: I've done that. I can't tell you how many times.
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: Sometimes you'll be thumbing through YouTube and run across a
- 1:28:18Speaker 8: video that's specific just for you. Sometimes you'll be scrolling
- 1:28:23Speaker 8: on ig and just one of the motivational things that
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: come up and just boom, it hits you right in
- 1:28:28Speaker 8: the face.
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: God look it out for you.
- 1:28:31Speaker 8: Whenever I ask God to show me a sign, I said, God,
- 1:28:35Speaker 8: I'm just I'm waiting, but I need a sign.
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: He always shows me one.
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: So to answer the questions should you celebrate your wins
- 1:28:43Speaker 8: or pat yourself on the back, I say you most
- 1:28:46Speaker 8: certainly should celebrate your wins. But when you celebrate, make
- 1:28:50Speaker 8: sure your celebration is loaded with gratitude thanksgiving. As a
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: matter of fact, when you pray before you as you pray,
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: your prayssure start with gratitude. I always try to remember
- 1:29:03Speaker 8: to start my prayer now. Sometimes you know get a
- 1:29:05Speaker 8: littlehead of myself and just get to asking, get to
- 1:29:09Speaker 8: firing off that what I need list. But the proper
- 1:29:13Speaker 8: way is to give thanks, to let him know, hey, look,
- 1:29:17Speaker 8: you've done so much for me, and I'm gonna tell you.
- 1:29:20Speaker 8: Sometimes I get so caught up in the thanking him
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: part of the prayer that sometimes I just go, you
- 1:29:27Speaker 8: know what, I'm good, man, he'd havene done so much
- 1:29:32Speaker 8: for me? Man, you know I'm really good because when
- 1:29:38Speaker 8: you wake up in the morning, here's another thing for
- 1:29:40Speaker 8: kind of all over the place a little bit. But
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: you know why, I'm just stay with me. When you
- 1:29:44Speaker 8: wake up in the morning and you feel like you've
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. You
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: know what always helps me in the morning. When I
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: kind of wake up and I feel a little unsorted,
- 1:29:54Speaker 8: like I'm feeling like not myself this morning, the bio
- 1:29:57Speaker 8: rhythms is off or whatever, I just start thanking him.
- 1:30:02Speaker 8: I start thanking him for everything, for my health, my
- 1:30:06Speaker 8: well being, for my family, for my girl, for my kids,
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: for being able to I thank God that he's made
- 1:30:15Speaker 8: me a loaner and not a borrower. I thank God
- 1:30:19Speaker 8: that he has put all the weight he has on
- 1:30:22Speaker 8: my shoulders and never put no more on meat than
- 1:30:26Speaker 8: I can bear. Man, I'm just grateful. I'm grateful for
- 1:30:32Speaker 8: the crown that I wear, as heavy as it is.
- 1:30:35Speaker 8: Heavy is the head that wears a crown. But I
- 1:30:38Speaker 8: wouldn't want it to be no other way. That's crazy, man.
- 1:30:43Speaker 8: Somebody said, hey, Steve, you looking back on your life? Man,
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: Like somebody did a video. Somebody works with me did
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: a video celebrating my forty forty years in the business.
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: And I didn't know they had done it. This guy
- 1:30:55Speaker 8: works for me named Jason and Christelle. They put a
- 1:30:57Speaker 8: video together to celebrate my forty years in the business,
- 1:31:01Speaker 8: which was October eighth, nineteen eighty five, was forty years
- 1:31:05Speaker 8: the night I won fifty dollars. And I was looking
- 1:31:08Speaker 8: at that video, man, and it teared me up a
- 1:31:10Speaker 8: little bit when I was watching it, because, man, I
- 1:31:12Speaker 8: had forgotten some of that stuff. But I looked back
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: on it, man, and whoo. Somebody said, hey, man, would
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: you do it all again?
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: Well?
- 1:31:25Speaker 8: I would have loved to have missed a couple of
- 1:31:27Speaker 8: those steps that I had to take. I would have
- 1:31:30Speaker 8: loved to have skipped over a few things. But if
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: I hadn't did those things, I wouldn't be who I
- 1:31:36Speaker 8: am today. So I got grateful for all of that. Man,
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: God is good. Don't forget that, y'all. So when you'd celebrating,
- 1:31:45Speaker 8: don't forget to show gratitude. Close my clothes remarks again.
- 1:31:48Speaker 8: Talk to God today. You would absolutely love to hear
- 1:31:51Speaker 8: from it.
