- 1:42Speaker 6: Turn you probably got to turn the mouth, turn out
- 1:46Speaker 6: the water, the mon.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come on, you'll think that.
- 2:02Speaker 7: I sure will come on and everybody you are listening
- 2:05Speaker 7: to the voice, Oh, come on, dig me now, one
- 2:09Speaker 7: and only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show, borl
- 2:14Speaker 7: borl boy.
- 2:16Speaker 8: I can't even tell you, man. I've been doing some
- 2:20Speaker 8: thinking and and one of the things that I wanted
- 2:24Speaker 8: to mention today to you as one of the principles
- 2:28Speaker 8: of success, being grateful at all times is difficult to do.
- 2:38Speaker 8: Being grateful at all times is very difficult to do.
- 2:44Speaker 8: I find that to be true with myself. Now there
- 2:48Speaker 8: are others that might be able to do it, but
- 2:50Speaker 8: just from talking and listening and living and learning, being
- 2:55Speaker 8: grateful at all times is difficult to do.
- 2:59Speaker 1: But it's necessary because.
- 3:02Speaker 8: It's such an act of faith in knowing that no
- 3:07Speaker 8: matter what's going on, it's going to be alright, and
- 3:11Speaker 8: it's hard to see that when things are not going
- 3:16Speaker 8: in your favor, when things have turned so dramatically the
- 3:21Speaker 8: other way, and it seems as though you're the only
- 3:24Speaker 8: one in the situation where you're involved with other people,
- 3:28Speaker 8: or someone got an accusation against you falsely, or somebody
- 3:32Speaker 8: trying to do something to you unjustifiably, whatever the case
- 3:35Speaker 8: may be. When it's happening to you, it does appear
- 3:40Speaker 8: to you that, oh, my goodness, man, this is horribly
- 3:45Speaker 8: one sided. So it is difficult. It's hard to do
- 3:50Speaker 8: to be grateful at all times, but it's so necessary.
- 3:54Speaker 8: And I just want to point out a couple of
- 3:56Speaker 8: things to you. First of all, the difficulty in being
- 4:01Speaker 8: grateful in hard times is that number one, the present circumstances.
- 4:08Speaker 8: Oftentimes it's just so pressing and so overwhelming that a
- 4:13Speaker 8: lot of your energy is devoted to trying to come
- 4:16Speaker 8: up with the solution for that, or trying to muster
- 4:19Speaker 8: the strength to whether the storm, or trying to just
- 4:22Speaker 8: brace yourself to try to get through it, and in
- 4:26Speaker 8: doing that, you don't It's hard to be grateful. It's
- 4:31Speaker 8: hard to be grateful in pain, and I know it is,
- 4:35Speaker 8: But here is the trick for me. This is what
- 4:39Speaker 8: I've had to learn how to do, and I guess
- 4:43Speaker 8: it takes practice to get here. It's not nothing you
- 4:46Speaker 8: just start doing right away. You got to practice it
- 4:48Speaker 8: in small increments to really get it. What I've always
- 4:52Speaker 8: had to say to myself and what I've learned to
- 4:54Speaker 8: say to myself is this is happening to me because
- 4:59Speaker 8: God is working me through something. This is happening to
- 5:03Speaker 8: me because it's some form of tests that I have
- 5:07Speaker 8: to pass in order to graduate to the next grade,
- 5:11Speaker 8: and that in order to be allowed to move to
- 5:13Speaker 8: the next level.
- 5:15Speaker 1: This is happening to me.
- 5:17Speaker 8: Because there's something I need to purge my life, of
- 5:22Speaker 8: my body, of my spirit, of something's purging in me.
- 5:26Speaker 8: And when you purge something, it's it's painful. You know,
- 5:30Speaker 8: It's like a person getting off drugs. The withdrawal is agonizing.
- 5:36Speaker 8: I've been told and every documentary I've ever watched it
- 5:39Speaker 8: it's an agonizing process to go cold turkey, to withdraw,
- 5:44Speaker 8: to pull away after you've been doing something so long.
- 5:48Speaker 8: And so I know that this process is tough when
- 5:54Speaker 8: you're going through some pain, But when you're purging your system,
- 5:59Speaker 8: when you when you're having to pass a test, when
- 6:02Speaker 8: you're about to make when you're being made ready for
- 6:07Speaker 8: the next level. That moment right in there, in realizing
- 6:12Speaker 8: that that's what's happening, that's where you find the gratitude.
- 6:15Speaker 8: That's where I found the gratitude. I hope I'm explaining
- 6:19Speaker 8: this correctly. I'm gonna keep trying until I get it.
- 6:22Speaker 8: But that's where you find the gratitude. The second part
- 6:27Speaker 8: of it is is that God has never left me
- 6:32Speaker 8: in all the things I've done, in all the mistakes
- 6:36Speaker 8: I've made, all the lies I've told, all the situations
- 6:40Speaker 8: I've gotten myself into, from being greedy and wanting too
- 6:45Speaker 8: much for me at the expense sometimes of other people,
- 6:52Speaker 8: not doing it deliberately or in a vindictive way, because
- 6:57Speaker 8: I've never had that spirit. I'm not a thing or
- 7:00Speaker 8: a mean person, but sometimes in my life, in wanting
- 7:05Speaker 8: to do what I wanted to do, I didn't totally
- 7:08Speaker 8: weigh out the cause and effect of the other person.
- 7:12Speaker 8: I mean, can I just be real with you with that?
- 7:15Speaker 8: I mean, how many times we'd done all done that? Look,
- 7:17Speaker 8: it doesn't it don't make you a bad person. You know,
- 7:21Speaker 8: good people do bad things all the time, I just
- 7:25Speaker 8: happened to have come to the realization that unknowingly and
- 7:30Speaker 8: and not and not with malice intent towards a person,
- 7:36Speaker 8: I've hurt people looking at something I wanted to do
- 7:41Speaker 8: without really looking at what the cause and effect would
- 7:45Speaker 8: be on the other person.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So in doing some of these things, I've created situations
- 7:51Speaker 1: for myself.
- 7:52Speaker 8: But God, through his grace and mercy, has allowed me
- 7:56Speaker 8: to even get beyond that. So when I'm saying that
- 8:00Speaker 8: God has never left me in spite of myself, He's
- 8:03Speaker 8: always gotten me through. So that's the other part of
- 8:07Speaker 8: it too. See that no matter what you're going through,
- 8:10Speaker 8: you've got to understand that God has always gotten you
- 8:13Speaker 8: through it now has any Now that may not be
- 8:15Speaker 8: the way you want it or the way you liked,
- 8:17Speaker 8: but guess what, you can't do wrong and not pay
- 8:21Speaker 8: for that.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Now that that's not how this works, that's never going
- 8:24Speaker 1: to be the case.
- 8:25Speaker 8: But the great thing about God is he fires warning
- 8:28Speaker 8: shots at us all the time. He gives us an
- 8:30Speaker 8: opportunity to stop. You know, he don't fully punish us
- 8:34Speaker 8: right away every time we do something wrong.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Now does it?
- 8:38Speaker 8: You know eventually you're going to get caught doing whatever
- 8:41Speaker 8: it is you're doing. You do understand that, don't you.
- 8:44Speaker 8: But the first time, that close call, that was a
- 8:47Speaker 8: warning shot for you to stop. Look, I know you're
- 8:50Speaker 8: not perfect. I know we all sinners down here, so
- 8:53Speaker 8: I know you're gonna make mistakes. One time, I know
- 8:55Speaker 8: you was looking at her when you weren't supposed to.
- 8:57Speaker 8: I know you said something to him when you were
- 9:00Speaker 8: supposed to. I know you got with her when you
- 9:02Speaker 8: know you wasn't supposed to. And I know you got
- 9:05Speaker 8: with him when you know you weren't supposed to. So
- 9:07Speaker 8: I tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm a fire
- 9:09Speaker 8: warning shot, and maybe you'll slow your roll this time.
- 9:12Speaker 8: But we keep on though. See see see that's what happens.
- 9:15Speaker 8: See we just keep on and then the next thing,
- 9:18Speaker 8: you know, we get caught. Now, Oh Lord, have mercy.
- 9:22Speaker 8: I want out of this.
- 9:23Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Well, see, you done dug this hole pretty deep, and
- 9:26Speaker 1: he gonna get you out.
- 9:28Speaker 8: But it's some things that's got to go down now
- 9:30Speaker 8: because you didn't pay attention to the warning shot. See,
- 9:33Speaker 8: had you stopped the first time, you felt bad about
- 9:35Speaker 8: it and said you wasn't gonna do it no more?
- 9:38Speaker 8: The situation wouldn't be as critical, but because we don't stop,
- 9:41Speaker 8: and we go again. But God always forgives, He always
- 9:47Speaker 8: allows us to get back up again. He always gives
- 9:51Speaker 8: us a mercy. He always gives us his grace. He
- 9:56Speaker 8: always does that.
- 9:57Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 10:42Speaker 8: you are to need some uplift this morning.
- 10:45Speaker 1: We are here for you. We are here for you.
- 10:48Speaker 8: And now for those of you that are over eighty
- 10:50Speaker 8: years old, here's a little something for you.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I'm I'm climbing up on the rough side all the
- 11:06Speaker 1: mountainy day. I'm claud man up. Really, Lord, that's a
- 11:17Speaker 1: little something for everybody this morning. Welcome to the Steve
- 11:20Speaker 1: of Halvy Morning Show.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Everybody, gets your attitude together, get your gratitude together, get
- 11:24Speaker 4: your altitude together. But it starts with gratitude that affects
- 11:28Speaker 4: your attitude, that has direct correlation with your altitude.
- 11:31Speaker 1: That's what we do in this show stars some very
- 11:34Speaker 1: capable people.
- 11:35Speaker 8: Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mouth of the South, Mississippi,
- 11:38Speaker 8: Monica kill Space. They call him Junior and the legend
- 11:41Speaker 8: that is Nephew Tommy Junior.
- 11:44Speaker 1: What today? Pray tale? Yes, unc, let me ask you
- 11:48Speaker 1: to say, could it be? Now?
- 11:50Speaker 11: You know you give your do you be hard on yourself?
- 11:53Speaker 11: Do you give yourself enough credit? I know a lot
- 11:55Speaker 11: of people. Yeah, you know, that's the thing I'm thinking
- 11:57Speaker 11: about because I thought about, well, I'm at today and
- 12:00Speaker 11: my birthday coming up, and do I give myself enough
- 12:03Speaker 11: credit for what I done?
- 12:05Speaker 8: I think I should be doing something more. Well, the
- 12:09Speaker 8: problem with us is we are always in chase mode
- 12:14Speaker 8: and we're not enough in gratitude. Mold And I'm guilty
- 12:19Speaker 8: of the same thing because I'm extremely hard on myself
- 12:22Speaker 8: and people around me have to tell me all the time,
- 12:25Speaker 8: you trip it, you need to slow down, you need
- 12:28Speaker 8: to enjoy your life a little bit more because of
- 12:31Speaker 8: the work you've put in and you've done.
- 12:33Speaker 1: But that comes from not enough gratitude.
- 12:38Speaker 8: And I'm very guilty of this myself, jun Because see,
- 12:41Speaker 8: we're so busy in the chase game that we failed
- 12:45Speaker 8: to realize how much we dine caught.
- 12:48Speaker 1: See, you've been chasing, but you also been catching.
- 12:51Speaker 8: And when you fail to realize how much you've caught,
- 12:53Speaker 8: your focus is on the chase, and then you lose
- 12:56Speaker 8: the gratitude of what you've caught. So you as your
- 12:59Speaker 8: birth they approaches and you realize that I'm not where
- 13:03Speaker 8: I want to be.
- 13:05Speaker 1: But can you not also realize that you ain't where
- 13:08Speaker 1: you was? Shirt Man? Well, I'm sorry. You need to
- 13:17Speaker 1: go somewhere and sit down. Man, shut up.
- 13:21Speaker 8: More, because I all you gotta do is think back
- 13:23Speaker 8: when it wasn't going this well, all right, all more
- 13:28Speaker 8: gratitude affect your attitude, which is direct correlation with your altitude.
- 13:35Speaker 8: See y'all come back with more Steve haf Mortar show.
- 13:37Speaker 8: Right after that, I got Hirley. Don't even worry about it.
- 13:39Speaker 8: Come up next, pray Phono call.
- 13:42Speaker 10: Oh God, you're listening hard morning show.
- 13:50Speaker 11: Everybody say, Cousin Jr. You know what, I love having
- 13:53Speaker 11: cookouts in the summertime, but it is so expensive. But

- 17:06Speaker 5: A lot of people, a lot of men are in

- 56:50Speaker 12: Thanking a few subjects. She's got one more time, Okay,
- 56:53Speaker 12: Stephen Shirley. I've been dating a great man for almost
- 56:57Speaker 12: six months. It's been it was a long distance relationship
- 57:01Speaker 12: at first, but I moved to a city three weeks ago.
- 57:04Speaker 12: I have an aunt that lives in his same city,
- 57:06Speaker 12: and I'm living with her temporarily. My boyfriend gave me
- 57:10Speaker 12: a key to his apartment and told me to make
- 57:12Speaker 12: myself at home, so I stay with him most of
- 57:16Speaker 12: the time. His mother has a key to his apartment too,
- 57:19Speaker 12: and she comes and goes as she pleases. She usually
- 57:22Speaker 12: stops by after work to have a glass of wine
- 57:25Speaker 12: and chill while the traffic dies down. If she doesn't
- 57:28Speaker 12: see my boyfriend's car, she comes on in and won't
- 57:31Speaker 12: even speak to me. If I've cooked, she'll make a plate.
- 57:35Speaker 12: If we have leftovers, she'll make a plate. She doesn't
- 57:38Speaker 12: talk to me, and she doesn't ask before she eats
- 57:41Speaker 12: our food.
- 57:42Speaker 10: After a few visits from.
- 57:43Speaker 12: Her, I asked my boyfriend why she only comes by
- 57:46Speaker 12: when I'm there by myself. He laughed and said that
- 57:50Speaker 12: his mother doesn't trust me, so she comes to keep
- 57:53Speaker 12: an eye on me. I guess she thinks I'm a
- 57:55Speaker 12: thief and her son has money hidden in the walls
- 57:58Speaker 12: of his tiny, one bedroom apartment. I decided to ask
- 58:02Speaker 12: her if she had a problem with me, and she
- 58:05Speaker 12: got up in my face and told me that I
- 58:07Speaker 12: was a stranger and did nobody tell me to move
- 58:11Speaker 12: to her city and try to marry her son. While
- 58:15Speaker 12: she talked, she was spitting food particles my way from
- 58:18Speaker 12: between her spaced out brown teeth. My boyfriend walked in
- 58:23Speaker 12: in the nick of time. I told him his mom
- 58:27Speaker 12: had one more time to ignore me in his home
- 58:30Speaker 12: and eat something I cooked or bought without asking. He
- 58:34Speaker 12: agreed with me and asked his mama to give him
- 58:37Speaker 12: his house, but she refused to. He's been joking about
- 58:42Speaker 12: his mom jumping on me, and I don't find that
- 58:44Speaker 12: funny at all. Should I break up with him? Well,
- 58:50Speaker 12: you didn't say it, but you are aware that you
- 58:53Speaker 12: have a mama's boy on your hands, right. I mean,
- 58:56Speaker 12: he's been joking about his mom jumping on you, but
- 58:58Speaker 12: it's nothing funny it at all, like you said, and
- 59:02Speaker 12: so far you've done nothing wrong, but please keep it
- 59:05Speaker 12: that way. What you don't want to do is get
- 59:08Speaker 12: into a fight with his crazy, disrespectful, rude, bully of
- 59:12Speaker 12: a mama, because I know you want to. I know
- 59:15Speaker 12: you do so, So the next question is what are
- 59:19Speaker 12: your plans with him?
- 59:20Speaker 1: Is his mom right?
- 59:21Speaker 10: Are you trying to marry her son?
- 59:23Speaker 1: Is that the goal?
- 59:25Speaker 5: If it is, are you sure?
- 59:27Speaker 1: Are you sure?
- 59:29Speaker 12: His mom is more than a handful and he's got
- 59:31Speaker 12: to He's got to be the one to stop her.
- 59:35Speaker 12: Mama's boys usually can't or won't do that. Okay, they
- 59:39Speaker 12: won't stop their moms, they won't say anything. At least
- 59:42Speaker 12: he said something, but mama's boys usually don't do that.
- 59:44Speaker 12: I am glad he talked to her, though, but it
- 59:47Speaker 12: didn't do any good. What he needs to do is
- 59:50Speaker 12: let her know that you are the woman of the house.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Now.
- 59:53Speaker 12: He needs to get his keyback from his mom, change
- 59:56Speaker 12: the lots of whatever he's got to do.
- 59:57Speaker 10: And if that doesn't work.
- 59:59Speaker 12: Why don't you move back with your aunt for a while,
- 1:00:02Speaker 12: think about getting your own apartment or moving, you know,
- 1:00:05Speaker 12: back to where you came from, breaking up with this guy,
- 1:00:08Speaker 12: just moving on with your life, because mama's boys usually
- 1:00:11Speaker 12: don't make good husbands.
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: All right, Steve, uh, First of all, this isn't a
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: case of mama's boy. I want to clarify that the
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: definition of a mama's boy, he doesn't fall into that.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: In this letter, surely you said something very important.
- 1:00:35Speaker 8: You said that mama's boys usually don't say anything to
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: their mother.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: But he did. Well, it's because he's not a mama's boy.
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: He is not.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Now his mama is off the check.
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: And what this letter is about is about clearly you
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: have a problem with mama, and Mama got a problem
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: with you, and in your estimation due to.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: The title of the letter, she got one more time.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: That's all. Now you have moved into town with this man,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: and nothing wrong with this. You're staying with the aunt.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Nothing wrong with that.
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: You got the keei boyfriend's house. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: You stay over there a lot.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: The problem is.
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: She, the mother in law, has a key to the
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: apartment too. Now this happened before you got that problem.
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: And she usually stops by after work with her glass
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: of wine and chill while the traffic dies down. If
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: she don't see my boyfriend's cars, she come on in
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: and won't even speak to me.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: If I've cooked. Now here we go.
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: This is what we're dealing with, because this is gonna
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: help you when you get to the last part of
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: this letter. If I've cooked, she'll make a plate. If
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: we have leftovers, she'll make a plain. Now we're dealing
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: with a big girl here now. So you need to
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: weigh this in to this decision that you're gonna try
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: to make in this letter later on. Well, you're making
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: place all she over there to make place. You know,
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: big people eat what's on the stove. Big people eat
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: what's in the fridge. Big people eat what's in fall.
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: Big people will throw stuff out in your freezer.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: To get it ready.
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: Big people know how to work the defrost button on
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: the microwave. You know, I've never done that in my life.
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: I've never put anything in the microwave to defrost.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: But big people do. They'll never worked for me.
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: Big people know how to do it. Big people know
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: how to defrost stuff in no time. Here's another thing,
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: and one more thing. Big people do not have a
- 1:02:59Speaker 8: fried I found that out truth.
- 1:03:02Speaker 12: All right, we'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 1:03:06Speaker 12: up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry
- 1:03:09Speaker 12: letter subject She's got one more time. We'll get back
- 1:03:13Speaker 12: into it right after this.
- 1:03:14Speaker 10: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:03:22Speaker 14: This broadcast is sponsored by PayPal. I got to put

- 1:03:53Speaker 12: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:55Speaker 12: The subject She's got one more Time.
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: Well, this letter one more Time is coming from a
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: woman who has this boyfriend and she moved into town
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: to be closer to and she's been staying with an
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: aunt in that time. But he gave her key to
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: his one bedroom apartment. And the problem is she stays
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: over there a lot. But his mother had a key
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: to the apartment too. Now hit the deal.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: She been staying over there often, cooking and stuff like that.
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: But the mama stops by even if she don't see
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: the boyfriend's car in the driveway, and she'll come on
- 1:04:32Speaker 8: in anyway and won't even speak to the girl that's
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: in the house.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: She will eat and make a plate, and if we
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: have left over, she'll make a plate.
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: So what I've come to the conclusion here, in my
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: own conclusionary way, is just a big girl, because that's
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: what big people do. They make plates, They make plates,
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: They do things you don't do. Here's another clue that
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: just a big person. They can work the defrost button
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: on the microwave.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I've never.
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: Done that before. I don't even know how to do it.
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: About everything I do frosts, I put in the sink
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: in some water.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: That's you.
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: Well, I'm just telling you big people ain't got time
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: for that process. They got to get this thought out.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: Now there's another thing I've noticed. Here's another that I
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: can tell you, girl this way. If you're dealing with
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: a big person, big people do not have air frars.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: I'm gonna say that again. They do not have air friers.
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: Here's another thing. I'm just giving you a rundown on
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: big people because this that that ain't about nothing. Listen,
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: here's something else you'll never find. Then they cupboard nothing
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: that says vegan or paleo.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: It ain't in there. They don't eat paleo chips. They
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: don't do none of that. Anyway.
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: She doesn't talk to me, she don't ask before she
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: eat our food. And after a few visit for her,
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: I asked my boyfriend, was she on her come back
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: when I'm there by myself. He laughed and said, his
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: mother don't trust me, so she comes to keep an
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: eye on me. Well, I guess she thinks I'm a
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: thief and her son got money hitting in the walls
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: of his tiny, little one bedroom apartment.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: So I decided to ask her if she had a
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: problem with me. Here we go, just what the letter about?
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: She got up in my face, told me I was
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: a stranger, and didn't nobody tell me to move to
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: her city and try to marry her son. A baby
- 1:06:55Speaker 8: over protective mama.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: While she talked, she was spending food particles my way
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: from between her space out brown teeth. That's cause she'd
- 1:07:08Speaker 8: have gnawed him down and ate him to death. I'm
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: telling you, this is a big person. When your teeth
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: is brown, they got space in them. You done ate
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: him and gnawed them down. They ain't even regular teeth
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: no more. This is constant chewing, constant chewing. You just
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: spread him out.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: You done pushed stuff up in between your teeth.
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: And kept eating anyway and just eventually to separated your
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: teeth and brown. Now, every time she talked, food coming
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: between her teeth. This is a big girl, now, So
- 1:07:40Speaker 8: you got to be careful. And your boyfriend walked in
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: in the nicked time.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: He walked in in nicked time for you, because I'm
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: finna tell you something. I told his mom.
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: She got one more time to ignore me. I told
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: him his mom got one more time to ignore me
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: in the house and need something, I cooked the ball
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: without asking. He agreed with me and asked his mama
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: to give him the key, but she refused to. He's
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: been joking about his mom jumping on me, and I
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: don't find any funny at all. Should I break up
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: with him? Well, this is the part you want to avoid,
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: young sister. Do not get in the fight with the mama.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Now listen to me. She ain't in good shape cause
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: of her way.
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: But the first twenty seconds, though, what she gonna hurt you,
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: big girl, gonna hurt you with them brown.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Teeth, put them spaces in between you.

- 1:11:01Speaker 12: hear your voicemail on the air, Steve. This one's from
- 1:11:04Speaker 12: a male listener who left a message about inspiration.
- 1:11:07Speaker 9: Hey, good morning, Steve in the Morning Show. You've been
- 1:11:10Speaker 9: such inspiration just in my life. You have me get
- 1:11:12Speaker 9: through the droughest times of my life. I started listening
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: to you on Father's Day a boy two years ago
- 1:11:18Speaker 9: when my son was killed and ID every morning I
- 1:11:21Speaker 9: listened to your podcast, The Inspirationals and Everything Man, and
- 1:11:25Speaker 9: it helped me tremendously.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: And I have a happy.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Belated Father's Day. I hope you had a great day.
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: God bless everybody on the on the show, Man, you
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: definitely touched my life.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank I appreciate you.
- 1:11:37Speaker 8: Man that that was the God that did that. I'm
- 1:11:40Speaker 8: just a piece of conduce. That would be God who
- 1:11:43Speaker 8: did all of that. I'm just trying to do God's
- 1:11:46Speaker 8: will as often as I can. I don't always make it,
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: I promise you I don't, but I'm doing the best
- 1:11:53Speaker 8: I can.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: But I was thinking of talking with somebody the other day.
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: We were talking about heavenly and we were talking about
- 1:12:01Speaker 8: there's none perfect, no not one, but yetting still there's
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: a heaven. Now, God clearly said there's none perfect, no,
- 1:12:08Speaker 8: not one. But then he clearly said He's prepared a
- 1:12:10Speaker 8: place for you. So I'm assuming he didn't prepare this
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: place for perfect people. I'm assuming that there are going
- 1:12:16Speaker 8: to be an awful lot of non perfect people in heaven.
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: All I'm doing is hoping I want them with my
- 1:12:24Speaker 8: non perfect self, And that's pretty much how I try
- 1:12:28Speaker 8: to live my life.
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:12:29Speaker 8: I know there's some religions that preach perfection and what
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: the Bible say, pastor cats out there that's preaching perfection,
- 1:12:42Speaker 8: but there ain't none.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: There ain't no.
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: Perfect people, and so I'm just trying to do the
- 1:12:47Speaker 8: best I can. He said something else I wanted to
- 1:12:49Speaker 8: comment on.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: I wanted to.
- 1:12:52Speaker 8: Put out there. He said something. It's ration and he
- 1:12:57Speaker 8: said something. I wanted to clear that up. Oh him,
- 1:13:02Speaker 8: I can't thank of it.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Can we play the call again? Should?
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: Yeah? Sure?
- 1:13:05Speaker 9: Let's say good morning Steve in the Morning Show. You've
- 1:13:08Speaker 9: been such an inspiration in my life. You help me
- 1:13:10Speaker 9: get to the drumpest times of my life. I started
- 1:13:13Speaker 9: listening to you on Father's Day about two years ago
- 1:13:16Speaker 9: thore my.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Son was killed, and I insist then every morning.
- 1:13:19Speaker 9: I listened to your podcast, The Inspirationals and Everything Man,
- 1:13:23Speaker 9: and it helped me tremendously.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: And I have a happy, delated Father's Day.
- 1:13:27Speaker 10: I hope you had a great day.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: God bless everybody on the on the show, Man, you
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: you definitely touched my life.
- 1:13:32Speaker 12: Shady.
- 1:13:33Speaker 8: Oh yeah, that it is right there. I wanted to mention, Yeah,
- 1:13:36Speaker 8: it wasn't that great a Father's Day.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Dog.
- 1:13:39Speaker 8: You know I once again, I am going to start
- 1:13:42Speaker 8: pushing very hard that they counsel Father's Day. Listen to me, man,
- 1:13:46Speaker 8: just go to Walmart or CBS. It's two columns of
- 1:13:52Speaker 8: Father's Day.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Call Steve.
- 1:13:54Speaker 8: The graduation section is bigger than the Father's Day call.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Now, no great bothers in you.
- 1:14:04Speaker 12: Thank you for your calls. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:14:07Speaker 12: Harvey Morning Show. All right, here's a question from Facebook guys.
- 1:14:15Speaker 12: Michelle wrote, there will be plenty of celebrations and I'm
- 1:14:19Speaker 12: invited to a few barbecues, and I'm always happy to
- 1:14:22Speaker 12: bring something for the party, but I'm sick of hosts
- 1:14:25Speaker 12: giving me specific instructions on what to bring. I get
- 1:14:28Speaker 12: that they don't want a bunch of overlap with what
- 1:14:31Speaker 12: guests bring, but I also think.
- 1:14:33Speaker 10: It should be my choice on what I want to contribute.
- 1:14:35Speaker 12: They always ask me to bring the potato salad, and
- 1:14:39Speaker 12: sometimes I'm just not in the move to make potato salads.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: It's a lot of work.
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: I would rather just pick up something simple from.
- 1:14:47Speaker 12: The store instead of spending time cooking. Steve in the
- 1:14:51Speaker 12: Morning Crew, am I wrong for feeling this way? Guests
- 1:14:54Speaker 12: have a say and what they contribute.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: No, that's so privy, ain't it.
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: Well, I'm just if you if you potato salad on it,
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: because we really don't like everybody potatoes.
- 1:15:05Speaker 14: So.
- 1:15:09Speaker 10: Acting about the potato salad.
- 1:15:12Speaker 8: That's true. But here's the other side of it too.
- 1:15:16Speaker 8: They don't like the other stuff you been baking.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Then they don'et worked it out over the years. He
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: just put her put her own potato salad. Come on now,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: because she know.
- 1:15:29Speaker 8: How to do that, Because you all right, was y'all

- 1:15:58Speaker 8: her bring this potato salad. Don't let her do nothing else?
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: What about?
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: What about? What about when she was vegan? Did you

- 1:25:36Speaker 12: day and it's time for your closing remarks.
- 1:25:40Speaker 8: Yeah, I just want to encourage everybody. Look, I know
- 1:25:44Speaker 8: that life gets tough. Sometimes it really does for all
- 1:25:47Speaker 8: of us. A point I learned a long time ago
- 1:25:54Speaker 8: entitled don't quit they don't have THEO. They don't, they
- 1:26:00Speaker 8: don't know. The author of the poem has always been
- 1:26:02Speaker 8: entitled Author unknown. Certainly I didn't write it, but it's
- 1:26:07Speaker 8: a poem called Don't Quit. It just reminded me so
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: much of something.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: I think.
- 1:26:13Speaker 8: I'll say it, but I wanted to tell you what
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: made me think about it. Somebody sent me a quote
- 1:26:22Speaker 8: from Winston Churchhill today. Somebody sent me this one today,
- 1:26:29Speaker 8: And what the quote is is that success consists of
- 1:26:34Speaker 8: going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: Let me say that to you again.
- 1:26:44Speaker 8: Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss
- 1:26:50Speaker 8: of enthusiasm. I thought about this and I said, wow,
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: you know what, that's really how you become successful. You
- 1:26:59Speaker 8: just go from fail you to fail you and just
- 1:27:03Speaker 8: never lose your enthusiasm. Somebody said, Steve, that's hard, and
- 1:27:09Speaker 8: I said, yeah, it is hard. I wish I could
- 1:27:12Speaker 8: tell you that being successful wasn't hard, but it's hard.
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: It really really is. There is no easy way to
- 1:27:20Speaker 8: become successful. It's hard.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:27:24Speaker 8: I can tell you some ways you can short circuit it,
- 1:27:27Speaker 8: you can mess it up for yourself. I can tell
- 1:27:30Speaker 8: you a lot of those But to get successful, you've
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: got to be extremely determined. You've got to be pretty
- 1:27:41Speaker 8: much hell been on making it happen. But I tell you, man,
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: what can get you there? Well, I tell you what
- 1:27:49Speaker 8: causes you to get there. You got to have the
- 1:27:51Speaker 8: right motivation. The best motivation to be successful is to
- 1:27:57Speaker 8: have massive dreams. And I'm talking about massive dreams. You've
- 1:28:02Speaker 8: got to have huge dreams. That's the best way to
- 1:28:07Speaker 8: get there. Because what it is, and what happened to
- 1:28:11Speaker 8: me along the way, was my dreams were so big
- 1:28:16Speaker 8: that not seeing them to come to fruition was unacceptable.
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: I just couldn't see.
- 1:28:23Speaker 8: Myself not at least giving my all to see if
- 1:28:27Speaker 8: it could happen, or if that couldn't happen, Man, could
- 1:28:31Speaker 8: I just get a portion of that to happen. So
- 1:28:34Speaker 8: what happened was I made my dreams so so big, man,
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: that along the way, when mishaps and setbacks and trials
- 1:28:44Speaker 8: and troubles and hardships and death and remorse and guilt
- 1:28:50Speaker 8: and everything was facing me, I never lost my enthusiasm
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: for wanting to make it because I just wanted.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: So desperately for one of these dreams to come true.
- 1:29:04Speaker 8: So I really do understand when he says success consists
- 1:29:08Speaker 8: of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.
- 1:29:12Speaker 8: And it's the size of the dream that keeps you
- 1:29:14Speaker 8: from having to lose your enthusiasm. Because I just kept thinking,
- 1:29:17Speaker 8: man like, my father used to always tell me, aim
- 1:29:20Speaker 8: for the moon, so in case you miss, you'll still
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: be amongst the stars. And it led me to something
- 1:29:26Speaker 8: that's more telling that said more frequent, more or recently.
- 1:29:30Speaker 8: I learned one that came to me when it was
- 1:29:34Speaker 8: time to talk about giving up. He said, the problem
- 1:29:37Speaker 8: ain't that you aim too high and you miss it.
- 1:29:40Speaker 8: The problem is if you aim too low and you
- 1:29:44Speaker 8: hit it. Let your mind go, think of big things,
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: Open up your heart and your mind to the possibilities
- 1:29:54Speaker 8: of God. Stop living your life in probability and start
- 1:30:03Speaker 8: living your life in possibilities. I'll tell you what I
- 1:30:06Speaker 8: mean by that. When people look at something and they
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: base it around the probability of it happening, that's a
- 1:30:15Speaker 8: problem because what you're saying then is the probability of
- 1:30:20Speaker 8: something is to me, that just means it probably won't
- 1:30:26Speaker 8: happen if this happens, or you probably won't make it
- 1:30:29Speaker 8: if that happens, or it probably won't come true if
- 1:30:32Speaker 8: you don't line up this way, or you know, you
- 1:30:35Speaker 8: probably might not make it. If these people don't sign
- 1:30:38Speaker 8: on to it, you probably won't make it. If that, that,
- 1:30:41Speaker 8: to me is living in the probability. You know, what's
- 1:30:44Speaker 8: the what's the what's the factors that blend into the
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: probability of something occurring. But if you just change that
- 1:30:54Speaker 8: and you went from the probability to purely the possibility. See,
- 1:30:59Speaker 8: I only look at life in terms of the possibility.
- 1:31:03Speaker 8: I have people who work for me, who do probability
- 1:31:05Speaker 8: factoring for me all the time. Some of the advice
- 1:31:08Speaker 8: I end up taking from them, the majority of us
- 1:31:11Speaker 8: don't because I don't care who works for me. They
- 1:31:14Speaker 8: can't out dream me, and they don't have an idea
- 1:31:16Speaker 8: of my vision for me better than I do or
- 1:31:19Speaker 8: God does. So I stop living my life in terms
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: of probability and I started living my life in terms
- 1:31:26Speaker 8: of possibility. I only care about the possibility. The probability
- 1:31:31Speaker 8: will present itself along the way, but you just got
- 1:31:35Speaker 8: to stay focused on the possibility. Faith don't make it easy.
- 1:31:40Speaker 8: Faith makes it possible. And that's guided me the whole time.
- 1:31:44Speaker 8: Get your dreams up, y'all, make them big man. Let
- 1:31:47Speaker 8: God into your life. Man, he can do some damage
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: with you. He can do a lot of damage for you.
- 1:31:52Speaker 8: I mean that in a good way. Y'all have a
- 1:31:54Speaker 8: great week here.
