- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like a
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in it to be true. Good oft
- 0:24Speaker 1: listen to the other for I don't join Jo. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta use that turn you're going. You gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out. Turn you haven't got to turn them out?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Then turn the water the water go. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your baby, huh, I show we off. Hey, good morning, everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. I've
- 2:12Speaker 1: been saying it like that since I got it too.
- 2:15Speaker 1: All Right, I gotta going for you today. Yesterday the
- 2:18Speaker 1: other day, I was talking to you about the most
- 2:21Speaker 1: effective weapon available to us as human beings I think
- 2:24Speaker 1: is prayer. I think prayer helps us in so many ways.
- 2:29Speaker 1: But right now what I want to do is I
- 2:32Speaker 1: want to show you how prayer pays off. I want
- 2:35Speaker 1: I want to show you what good it can do
- 2:37Speaker 1: for you. Even me, I use it every day, and
- 2:41Speaker 1: and the days I don't use it, I feel it
- 2:44Speaker 1: that that you know, the days that I go, you know,
- 2:47Speaker 1: without talking to him as much, I notice it. I
- 2:50Speaker 1: feel it I feel a certain kind of way. You know,
- 2:53Speaker 1: those are those that doubt starts slipping in again, that
- 2:56Speaker 1: uneasy feeling of uncertainty slips in again, That that wondering
- 3:01Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do start slipping in again. Happens to me,
- 3:04Speaker 1: happens everybody, man, I think, I really really do you know,
- 3:07Speaker 1: people would just keep it real with each other. Stop
- 3:10Speaker 1: being this Christian, this superman, because you ain't. You ain't.
- 3:15Speaker 1: There's a scripture that says that's none perfect, no, not one.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That's everybody that covered all of us don't. So sometimes
- 3:26Speaker 1: I think we're a little too hard on each other
- 3:29Speaker 1: with that too, seeing us how we're not perfect, we
- 3:32Speaker 1: immediately want to just just oh man, you just want
- 3:36Speaker 1: to kill when we find somebody do something wrong. But
- 3:38Speaker 1: if we go public, everything go public now called social media.
- 3:42Speaker 1: But anyway, I just want to talk to you about
- 3:45Speaker 1: how prayer pays off. It's called all eye and money.
- 3:50Speaker 1: People got money, call it all eyes a return on investment.
- 3:54Speaker 1: People are always looking for a return on investment. You know, nobody,
- 3:57Speaker 1: nobody in business really gives you money without understanding the
- 4:01Speaker 1: return on investment. They don't even give money to charities
- 4:05Speaker 1: unless they think it can do something with the bottom line.
- 4:08Speaker 1: A lot of companies work like that. I found out
- 4:11Speaker 1: out myself. Sad, but it is true. So since everything
- 4:16Speaker 1: is expected to work on a return on investment as
- 4:19Speaker 1: soon because we're human beings. So since we're all human beings,
- 4:21Speaker 1: whether you're in business or not, you're still in the
- 4:26Speaker 1: business of living. I think when you pray, you should
- 4:31Speaker 1: expect a return on your investment. You talk to him,
- 4:36Speaker 1: you spend time opening it up to him, you bowed
- 4:39Speaker 1: your head to him, you humbled yourself, you got on
- 4:43Speaker 1: your knees. I mean, but really we're talking God here,
- 4:46Speaker 1: So really, what you're doing ain't really about nothing. Be
- 4:49Speaker 1: honest with You're a little bit that you do do
- 4:51Speaker 1: on his behalf, it just pales in comparison with what
- 4:55Speaker 1: he does. But let's just say you want to call
- 4:58Speaker 1: yourself invested, let me show you how it pays off
- 5:02Speaker 1: this because for me, this is for me. Now, pray
- 5:05Speaker 1: pays off in different ways. That's what I had to learn. See,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I was praying, but I was asking him specifically for
- 5:12Speaker 1: what I wanted. I had the audacity, though, to turn
- 5:16Speaker 1: around and tell him how to do what I wanted.
- 5:19Speaker 1: That's amazing. Man. I can't tell you how many blessings
- 5:22Speaker 1: I blocked coming my way by putting my faith in
- 5:25Speaker 1: what I said I wanted and how I wanted him
- 5:28Speaker 1: to do it. I want you to give me this.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I want that person to go away. I want this
- 5:35Speaker 1: person to accept everything you say. Then I want to
- 5:38Speaker 1: go over here and I want this deal to happen
- 5:40Speaker 1: like this, And I want that person to just step
- 5:43Speaker 1: aside and let me let me through. And then I
- 5:46Speaker 1: wanted I was. I hadn't mapped out. God must have
- 5:50Speaker 1: been chuckling really hard. He hadn't been gonna. Boy, I
- 5:53Speaker 1: made you to be funny. But boy, you're funny now.
- 5:55Speaker 1: So you're gonna tell me how to do it. And
- 5:57Speaker 1: you've all heard this right here. If you want to
- 5:59Speaker 1: make God laugh telling me your plan, well, that's what
- 6:02Speaker 1: I did. And that's how we pray. A lot of
- 6:04Speaker 1: times we pray, and we pray in the prayer with
- 6:08Speaker 1: telling him how to work it out. Well, here's the deal.
- 6:12Speaker 1: This is what I've learned. Prayer pays off in different ways.
- 6:16Speaker 1: There's a different return of my investment when I pray. See,
- 6:20Speaker 1: sometimes when I'm praying for something, a situation to dissolve
- 6:25Speaker 1: itself or go away. Sometimes I get courage out of
- 6:29Speaker 1: the prayer. Prayer provides me courage that's just to go
- 6:35Speaker 1: on and look at it. I guess face it. Then.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Sometimes when I'm praying about a situation, sometimes prayer gives
- 6:45Speaker 1: me hanging power. Sometimes, man, it just I look up
- 6:49Speaker 1: and I'm just handling it better. Sometimes prayer gives you
- 6:54Speaker 1: laugh at off power. Sometimes, man, you just got to
- 6:58Speaker 1: laugh at off whatever. Man you trip it? Do you
- 7:05Speaker 1: know what that is? If you could do that, you know.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Sometimes it gives it gives you a show of strength power.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Sometimes prayer allows you to have the appearance that you
- 7:17Speaker 1: got it all together. Nobody got to know the world.
- 7:21Speaker 1: When the tornado, the hurricane that's swirling in your life,
- 7:26Speaker 1: you're standing over that like the eye the hurricane you
- 7:28Speaker 1: and it's all swirling around you. But you standing that
- 7:31Speaker 1: like the eye, you just as calm. That's what prayer does.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So when you pray, man, it builds up a lot
- 7:38Speaker 1: of things in you. You know what it's done for me.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Prayer has built up character in me. It's made me
- 7:44Speaker 1: have more character because I'm able to stand stronger on
- 7:48Speaker 1: the things I say. Because I've been praying because I've
- 7:52Speaker 1: been asking God for all of those return of investments.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I've been asking God for courage. I've been asking God
- 7:59Speaker 1: for hanging that. I've been asking him to give me
- 8:01Speaker 1: the power to walk away. I've asked him to give
- 8:04Speaker 1: me ignored power. I've asking to help me laugh it off.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I've asked him to show me strength. But you know
- 8:09Speaker 1: what I was doing, I was really praying, not really
- 8:12Speaker 1: for them things be real with you. I was asking
- 8:14Speaker 1: them to help me, Lord, help me. You ever done that?
- 8:17Speaker 1: You ever asked God for help? And then all of
- 8:19Speaker 1: a sudden a list of these things show up. See,
- 8:22Speaker 1: sometimes how you want the problem to be solved ain't
- 8:25Speaker 1: the best way. There's a lesson to be learned when
- 8:28Speaker 1: we make mistakes. And sometimes you got to stay in
- 8:30Speaker 1: that fire and you got to learn that lesson. But
- 8:33Speaker 1: guess what, though, when you come out of it, you're
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna be better for it. You're gonna know more about it.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Come on, y'all, pray. He's solid, His word is true,
- 8:42Speaker 1: it lasts forever. He do what he's say gonna do
- 8:45Speaker 1: now all day, all night, twenty four seven, he do
- 8:50Speaker 1: it all day, all night. And then some more his
- 8:53Speaker 1: word don't ever change. It is true. It works for me.
- 8:56Speaker 1: It worked for you. It worked for Jake's It worked
- 9:00Speaker 1: for Old Steam, It worked for Kirk Franklin. It worked
- 9:03Speaker 1: for Paula White. It worked for Billy Graham. It worked
- 9:07Speaker 1: for Mother Teresa. It worked for Gandhi, It worked for
- 9:11Speaker 1: the Princess Arabs. It worked, man, it worked for you.
- 9:17Speaker 1: What you're waiting for? Why don't you put praying your game?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Watch what happened to you? You're sitting in that jail,
- 9:23Speaker 1: celle and you're struggling with it, and they're telling you
- 9:26Speaker 1: bloody and blood out. You can't get in you. That's foolishness, man,
- 9:30Speaker 1: What you mean God can get you out of anything. Look, man,
- 9:33Speaker 1: if you didn't read your Bible, he didn't got some
- 9:35Speaker 1: people out of some sticky situations. I don't know what
- 9:37Speaker 1: you're talking about. If Daniel was in the lions den
- 9:40Speaker 1: and Jonah was in the belly of the whale, what
- 9:42Speaker 1: you're talking about? Where you are? You just sitting in
- 9:43Speaker 1: the sale with some dudes round and you're talking about
- 9:45Speaker 1: what they gonna do. Man, you gotta be real. God,
- 9:48Speaker 1: it can't nothing to do nothing. Nobody can't nobody do
- 9:51Speaker 1: nothing to you. God won't give you to strift to handle.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Prayer changes things. Man, you're listening to show, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: it is upon us another great day, and I decided

- 10:26Speaker 1: Today we show an example of that. Or Billy Jane
- 10:37Speaker 1: not my love, She's just a girl who knew that
- 10:42Speaker 1: I was the one? Oh and the baby my son?

- 20:38Speaker 1: Now we're gonna be straight stupid. Come sad tonight. That's
- 20:41Speaker 1: what I do, So come watching me work. Okay, Jacksonville.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, dude though. All right, thank you nephew.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is asked the Cello chief Love Officers,
- 20:56Speaker 1: Steve Harvey in the building, right up, do this you're
- 20:59Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 21:03Speaker 1: of the hour. And trending entertainment news, Well, lawsuits have
- 21:06Speaker 1: been filed against Travis Scott in the wake of the
- 21:09Speaker 1: Astro World tragedy. Plus an other entertainment news. Did you
- 21:12Speaker 1: guys see the movie The Heart of They Fall with
- 21:15Speaker 1: Idris Elba and Regina King. Did you guys see that? Uh? Yeah,
- 21:24Speaker 1: I loved it. We'll talk about it coming up and
- 21:28Speaker 1: entertainment news. Um, But right now it is time for
- 21:31Speaker 1: Steve's favorite segment. Asked the Clo Reddy Chief Love Officer
- 21:36Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, this one is from Murray and like Charles Murray. Murray. Okay,
- 21:43Speaker 1: Mury Murray, Yeah, like the Palmaid. All right, here we go.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Murray writes, I'm twenty nine years old and I just
- 21:55Speaker 1: got my pH D. I've been messing with my adviser
- 21:59Speaker 1: for the past few months. I dated her daughter for
- 22:02Speaker 1: two years, and when we broke up, the mama proposition
- 22:06Speaker 1: to me for sex. The mama is in great shape
- 22:09Speaker 1: and she's better at certain things than her daughter. But
- 22:12Speaker 1: I want to get back to dating the daughter. We
- 22:15Speaker 1: have been talking and hanging out again, and her mother
- 22:19Speaker 1: is very angry about it. She threatened to tell her
- 22:21Speaker 1: daughter about us. And how do I leave the mama
- 22:24Speaker 1: without the drama? God, are you stupid? You know what,
- 22:30Speaker 1: there's a lot of people with degrees. Man, that's just
- 22:33Speaker 1: dub You got a PhD. You quit dating a daughter,
- 22:37Speaker 1: you're dating her mama. Who's your advisor? Now you want
- 22:41Speaker 1: to get back with the daughter, But there's certain things
- 22:43Speaker 1: that the mama. Dude, it better than your daughter. You're
- 22:45Speaker 1: twenty nine dollar, you're gonna mess her name. Ain't gonna
- 22:47Speaker 1: be thirty. You're stupid. You cannot go back and forth.
- 22:53Speaker 1: You can't do that, Doc. You can't lead a girl.
- 22:57Speaker 1: If she find out you was messing with mama, You're
- 23:00Speaker 1: going to ruin a lot of relationships, yours and theirs
- 23:04Speaker 1: if you go back to the daughter you said, now
- 23:08Speaker 1: you're just running through a family. Hey, man, you gotta
- 23:11Speaker 1: start dating somebody else. Man, Mary, listen to me, son,
- 23:15Speaker 1: save yourself a world of pain and stop seeing both
- 23:19Speaker 1: of them. Save yourself a world of pain as leave
- 23:25Speaker 1: both of them alone. That's that. If that's the smartest
- 23:28Speaker 1: thing you can do. If you continue either way, you're
- 23:31Speaker 1: gonna pay Yeah. Great advice, Cello. Moving on to that name,
- 23:38Speaker 1: to something else, Murray like the Puma. Tania in Newark says,
- 23:43Speaker 1: my husband of eight years left me and moved in
- 23:46Speaker 1: with his girlfriend. I didn't tell my family because I
- 23:49Speaker 1: was ashamed. I eventually confided in my sister Tina, and
- 23:53Speaker 1: she offered to go over to the ladies house and
- 23:55Speaker 1: drag my husband out of there. But it wasn't long
- 23:58Speaker 1: before he ran back home, begging to move back in.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I asked him to give me time because I think
- 24:04Speaker 1: he needs me wait more than I need him. Do
- 24:07Speaker 1: I give him another chance or change my lot? I
- 24:11Speaker 1: don't know if I would give him another chance. He
- 24:15Speaker 1: moved out, moved in. You were embarrassed. It obviously came
- 24:22Speaker 1: out of nowhere. Now he went over there and the
- 24:25Speaker 1: grass wasn't green on the other side. Now he won't
- 24:28Speaker 1: back he but let me ask you a question, young lady.
- 24:31Speaker 1: What has changed for you to allow him to back?
- 24:35Speaker 1: What is the change? Is he going to stop cheating?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Is he going to do you better? How can he
- 24:43Speaker 1: make up for what's been done? I don't know. If
- 24:46Speaker 1: I were you, I would wait the situation out because
- 24:48Speaker 1: if you wait it out a little bit, you might
- 24:50Speaker 1: find that could be another house that he can go to. Confided, Okay,
- 25:00Speaker 1: all right? Moving on to Lynette and Toledo. Lynette writes,
- 25:03Speaker 1: I'm a forty nine year old single mother and I
- 25:06Speaker 1: let my nineteen year old daughter's best friend live with
- 25:09Speaker 1: us temporarily. This is the same girl that mess with
- 25:12Speaker 1: my daughter's boyfriend last year and my daughter beat her up.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I don't like the girl, and she knows it, and
- 25:18Speaker 1: it's told my daughter that I have an attitude with her,
- 25:20Speaker 1: and I'm too strict. I don't want this disobedient energy
- 25:23Speaker 1: in my household. I am concerned about my daughter's feelings,
- 25:27Speaker 1: not hers. Should I tell my daughter that her little
- 25:30Speaker 1: friend has worn out her welcome? No, you ain't gonna
- 25:33Speaker 1: tell your daughter nothing. He's your house, hey, sweetie, you
- 25:38Speaker 1: know well you're welcome. I package stuff up, go wherever
- 25:40Speaker 1: you need to go, but you can't come back in here. Period.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I don't even understand. She beat the girl up and
- 25:47Speaker 1: messing with her Boyfrid. Now she and your house. Tell
- 25:51Speaker 1: me she don't like your rules to your daughter who
- 25:55Speaker 1: she messed with her boyfriend? What's next? Your husband? Right? Facts,
- 26:04Speaker 1: kate let cancer set up shop. That's right, stud one
- 26:08Speaker 1: more time, kate let cancer set up shop. There you go, man,
- 26:17Speaker 1: get out of here. Nineteen five. Why she ain't got
- 26:19Speaker 1: a where else to go? Yeah, she's deceitful and hateful. Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 1: all right, Come all right, Sandy and send Saint Petersburg says,
- 26:31Speaker 1: my husband and I have had the same in home
- 26:33Speaker 1: assistant for four years and she's a great worker. She
- 26:36Speaker 1: told me she has a new man and she's in love,
- 26:39Speaker 1: but he can't visit her at her parents' home because
- 26:42Speaker 1: there is a family rivalry. Not long after that day,
- 26:46Speaker 1: I came home early, walked into my kitchen and saw
- 26:49Speaker 1: this girl straddling this boyfriend of hers in one of
- 26:53Speaker 1: my kitchen chairs. She and the guy ran out of
- 26:56Speaker 1: my house. She has begged me not to fire her.
- 27:00Speaker 1: She's twenty two years old, So how should I handle this? Yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 1: that's what. Yeah, it's kind of wild. That's that wild age.
- 27:10Speaker 1: You could bring her back in the house. If she's
- 27:13Speaker 1: a great assistant. You can forgive her for her mistake,
- 27:16Speaker 1: because young people make lots of mistakes. You can set
- 27:19Speaker 1: up and establish your rules. Now there's a rivalry at
- 27:23Speaker 1: her house, and she's now created a rivalry at your house,
- 27:27Speaker 1: so he can't come back to your house. And she's
- 27:31Speaker 1: the family assistant, she's not the babysit or nothing. You
- 27:35Speaker 1: can't bring people in here have sex in my house.
- 27:41Speaker 1: So I don't understand. Now, if you like the girl,
- 27:44Speaker 1: you can forgive her and give her another chance to
- 27:46Speaker 1: correct her mistakes, and she wouldn't need to keep her job.
- 27:50Speaker 1: But she also got to follow some rules. Now she
- 27:52Speaker 1: can't follow the rules and you gotta look. If you
- 27:54Speaker 1: got money for an assistance, you got money for home
- 27:56Speaker 1: security cameras on the outside, that little dobe sit on
- 28:00Speaker 1: the outside of people's house that can see the package
- 28:02Speaker 1: being delivered and all that. That ain't that ain't expensive.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Get you one of them setups, and then you know
- 28:08Speaker 1: every time he's coming over. You do understand though, right,
- 28:11Speaker 1: I mean you was twenty two. I mean something you
- 28:13Speaker 1: didn't You did this too, didn't he? I mean, come on, now,
- 28:17Speaker 1: I've done everything. Okay, all right, I know you at
- 28:21Speaker 1: somebody house do I mean, come on, man, and home
- 28:30Speaker 1: assistance could be you know, take care of their bills
- 28:34Speaker 1: and stuff like that. But if you got money for
- 28:36Speaker 1: that person right there, you got money for that doughbel
- 28:40Speaker 1: Yeah wow, yeah, all right, like some good scrattling though
- 28:48Speaker 1: it ain't none, like some good scrattling, ain't I ain't mad.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Just keep going, Shirley. That's it. That's the last one. Gracious,
- 29:00Speaker 1: gonna have to lest you better straddle boy. All right,
- 29:15Speaker 1: thanks guys. Coming up at the top of the hour, Well,
- 29:17Speaker 1: we'll have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 29:20Speaker 1: You're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Well lawyers
- 29:26Speaker 1: have filed a lawsuit against Travis Scott less than twenty
- 29:29Speaker 1: four hours after what they called eight needless, untimely debts
- 29:34Speaker 1: at the Astra World Festival festival. The lawsuit claims that
- 29:38Speaker 1: this disaster was predictable and preventable. The New York Times
- 29:42Speaker 1: reports that the Houston police chief, who is a personal
- 29:45Speaker 1: friend of Travis Scott, warned him before he took the stage.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Chief Troy Finner was concerned about the agitated energy in
- 29:53Speaker 1: the crowd of fifty thousand. An attorney for an injured
- 29:56Speaker 1: concert gore blamed Travis and promoter Live Nation's motive va
- 30:00Speaker 1: for profit at the expense of concert goers health and safety.
- 30:05Speaker 1: As we previously told you, Travis Scott is simply devastated
- 30:09Speaker 1: and heartbroken. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has promised to leave
- 30:14Speaker 1: no stone turned to get to the bottom of what
- 30:17Speaker 1: happened and y the eight people were killed by the
- 30:20Speaker 1: crowd surges. This is who's going to be responsible here.
- 30:25Speaker 1: This will be Live Nation the promoter. The promoter and
- 30:29Speaker 1: not the performer is responsible for the safety of all
- 30:33Speaker 1: patriots if there is a case. But now listen to me,
- 30:37Speaker 1: just because there's an accusation doesn't mean there's a case
- 30:40Speaker 1: a tragedy occurred. But here comes the legal system in
- 30:44Speaker 1: the United States. Lawyers know that there could be some
- 30:49Speaker 1: money somewhere, so now here they chasing everything. And the
- 30:52Speaker 1: big name in this is Travis Scott. So now here
- 30:55Speaker 1: they come with the lawsuits and there's not so much
- 30:59Speaker 1: of winning the case as it is to getting a settlement.
- 31:08Speaker 1: That's all it is. Okay, nobody wants to go to
- 31:13Speaker 1: try that's elongated. But but people who come with this
- 31:18Speaker 1: they want to settlement because all it is is about
- 31:21Speaker 1: the money, and they're gonna they're gonna make it look
- 31:24Speaker 1: any kind of way they can to get the money.
- 31:27Speaker 1: And that's the sadness of this whole thing. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 1: it's very sad. And I mean the people dying. It's
- 31:37Speaker 1: just a horrible, horrible situation. You know, the only thing
- 31:42Speaker 1: I've thought of when you have large crowds like this
- 31:46Speaker 1: is that you have to set up these large crowds
- 31:48Speaker 1: in open areas, in like maze type situations. You have
- 31:53Speaker 1: to set those barriers up like in a maze, you
- 31:57Speaker 1: know what I mean. For you get like fifty people
- 32:01Speaker 1: in a section, then you got to turn the corner
- 32:02Speaker 1: for another section to pop up. You need to turn
- 32:04Speaker 1: the corner. You can fit them all in there, but
- 32:06Speaker 1: it's gonna take a minute to disperse the crowd. That
- 32:09Speaker 1: prevents any charging and trampling because of the mad situation,
- 32:16Speaker 1: because no group of people can go in one direction. Okay,
- 32:21Speaker 1: I don't want to go to that. I don't want
- 32:22Speaker 1: to go to that event where it's fifty thousand people
- 32:25Speaker 1: and we just standing in the possibility of whatever could happen.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I need to see you helpless. There's nothing you can do.
- 32:32Speaker 1: It's scary. Yeah, yeah, very much. So such a sad,
- 32:36Speaker 1: so glad little bit. I know some people that were there.
- 32:41Speaker 1: For sure. It's a tragic get out, but it's so sad. Yeah.
- 32:46Speaker 1: All right, um, we're gonna switch gears here and talk
- 32:49Speaker 1: about trending movie news. Did you guys see I look
- 32:54Speaker 1: at you, Steve, because you know how you are with
- 32:56Speaker 1: movies and stuff. But did you see The Cowboy West?
- 33:00Speaker 1: The Harder They Fall? One of one of the best
- 33:04Speaker 1: movies I've seen in a long time, very good. I
- 33:09Speaker 1: enjoyed the cinematography, the way they shot it. No, they
- 33:16Speaker 1: was deep, man, the way they shot this movie. This
- 33:19Speaker 1: wasn't no bootleg mess man. This movie was shot really
- 33:23Speaker 1: really well. I love the music, the tracks, The storyline
- 33:27Speaker 1: was outstanding. The actors at damn. Regina King quit playing
- 33:34Speaker 1: Delroy Lindo, Jonathan Majors and de car was outstanding. Man
- 33:39Speaker 1: Dion Cole really stepped up. They already the lead that
- 33:43Speaker 1: played that love and it was el He just gangs
- 33:51Speaker 1: no man, he you don't even have to say nothing
- 33:58Speaker 1: the whole storyline. I they enjoyed that movie, the harder
- 34:02Speaker 1: they fall. I just thought it was a great movie.
- 34:04Speaker 1: People told me it was long. Now I didn't feel that.
- 34:07Speaker 1: That movie felt good to me. Man, the entire time
- 34:11Speaker 1: a great movie. Were you into westerns? Do you like westerns?
- 34:17Speaker 1: Toun Stone? What girl? The Magnificent Seven disy because they
- 34:23Speaker 1: don't make as many westerns as they wanted. Did well
- 34:26Speaker 1: because periodically, I mean that's the word I want to use.
- 34:30Speaker 1: But period pieces don't normally do well. They claimed with
- 34:35Speaker 1: African Americans, just like they claimed African Americans can't do
- 34:40Speaker 1: what they called romantic comedies. And Neil will Smith came
- 34:43Speaker 1: along and crushed their ass. Were hitched. You feel me,
- 34:48Speaker 1: but you have to show but this movie here I
- 34:51Speaker 1: don't know how they got a green lit, but lord
- 34:53Speaker 1: ha mercy. When they green lit that movie, them people
- 34:57Speaker 1: went to work and did an outstandard job. It was
- 35:00Speaker 1: produced by Jay Z Sean Carter. Yes, sir, so that
- 35:05Speaker 1: could have something to do with it. And you got
- 35:07Speaker 1: a lot of big name stars in this movie too. Transition,
- 35:12Speaker 1: that transition, that boy man Dion made a transition that
- 35:15Speaker 1: was good. He stayed in that character deon call. I'm
- 35:19Speaker 1: sorry he stayed in that character. Man. I was. I
- 35:21Speaker 1: was like, go here boy you But you know, Dion
- 35:25Speaker 1: has that side of him if you know him, you
- 35:27Speaker 1: know he got that look about him if you catch
- 35:31Speaker 1: him when it when he when you know, you know
- 35:33Speaker 1: when he when you know, you know when he in
- 35:34Speaker 1: his resting face, like you know when I'm smiling. It's
- 35:39Speaker 1: one thing, but my resting face. I don't give you that.
- 35:43Speaker 1: What are you giving? I mean, you know, really, man,
- 35:47Speaker 1: you could put me in one of them type of movies.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I'm not really a movie star, but you could give
- 35:52Speaker 1: me a role to play something, you know where dude
- 35:55Speaker 1: ain't grinned. Yeah yeah, yeah, all right, Well we're gonna
- 35:57Speaker 1: move on. Thank you guys. Today Fall on Netflix coming
- 36:01Speaker 1: up in twenty minutes, we'll talk about America's all white
- 36:05Speaker 1: jury problem. Right after this. You're listening to the Stave
- 36:09Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, let's talk about it. America's
- 36:12Speaker 1: all white a jury problem. According to Time Magazine, a
- 36:16Speaker 1: jury that includes just one member who identifies as a
- 36:19Speaker 1: person of color was selected to consider charges facing Kyle Rittenhouse,
- 36:24Speaker 1: the white teenager who shot and killed two demonstrators and
- 36:27Speaker 1: wounded another last year. If you recall in Kenosha, Wisconsin,
- 36:31Speaker 1: during protests that followed the police shooting of Jacob Blake,
- 36:35Speaker 1: a black man. Also, a jury of eleven white and
- 36:40Speaker 1: one black American is set in the trial of the
- 36:42Speaker 1: shooting death of a Mod Arbory, a black man killed
- 36:45Speaker 1: while jogging in Brunswick, Georgia, last year. Even though the
- 36:49Speaker 1: judge himself noted that the jury selection process appears to
- 36:53Speaker 1: have involved intentional discrimination, the trial will move forward. The
- 36:57Speaker 1: jurors must decide whether Gregory McMichael, his son Travis McMichael,
- 37:01Speaker 1: along with their neighbor William Roddy Bryan Junior, are guilty
- 37:05Speaker 1: of malice and felony murder in the death of amd Arbory. Well,
- 37:09Speaker 1: here's the deal. The defendants. During the jury pool selection process,
- 37:15Speaker 1: both sides sit there and are allowed to question each
- 37:19Speaker 1: potential juror as they come up. I've set through these before,
- 37:23Speaker 1: and they will try to pick a jura ble, a
- 37:25Speaker 1: juror that they think is favorable to their position. A
- 37:30Speaker 1: black person in a place like this is not favorable
- 37:34Speaker 1: for the defendants because they're the ones who accused of
- 37:38Speaker 1: killing a black person, so they're gonna rule out most
- 37:41Speaker 1: black people if they can. Prosecutors will try to look
- 37:46Speaker 1: for that, but then if the other side don't agree
- 37:50Speaker 1: with it, that juror can't be on the jury for
- 37:53Speaker 1: the most part. Now, when we move into the jury
- 37:56Speaker 1: room after with time for deliberations, the problem when you
- 38:00Speaker 1: have all whites in the room is now they are
- 38:03Speaker 1: free to feel, say and think how they always see,
- 38:08Speaker 1: feel and think, and that is usually not good for
- 38:12Speaker 1: the black person that's on trial because innately, there are
- 38:18Speaker 1: large numbers of white people who have deep seated feelings
- 38:23Speaker 1: about people who are who who are black and non white,
- 38:30Speaker 1: because of propaganda, because of what they've been taught, because
- 38:34Speaker 1: of all the antics at their house. That it's very
- 38:38Speaker 1: logical that Rodney King was an animal trying to get
- 38:43Speaker 1: up and get at those police officers, and they repeatedly
- 38:47Speaker 1: kept trying to beat him down, and he kept getting up,
- 38:51Speaker 1: and if he had gotten up, he could have hurt
- 38:53Speaker 1: those officers. That's what's said in the jury room. That's
- 39:02Speaker 1: what's believed in the jury room, and when they come out,
- 39:05Speaker 1: that's the verdict they come up with. When you have
- 39:07Speaker 1: a black person in that room, you get to go,
- 39:09Speaker 1: wait a minute, he was trying to get on his
- 39:13Speaker 1: feet to save his life. Why are they steady beating
- 39:16Speaker 1: this man? True entirely, that's what you need. You're right,
- 39:20Speaker 1: all right? Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:24Speaker 1: we're gonna see what Scottie Pippen has to say about
- 39:26Speaker 1: Michael Jordan and his new book. Right after this, you're
- 39:30Speaker 1: listening to show. During the nineteen nineties, Chicago Bulls dominated
- 39:37Speaker 1: US basketball, winning six championships. Well. Scottie Pippen released his
- 39:43Speaker 1: memoir last week titled Unguarded. Scottie wrote that the Last Dance,
- 39:48Speaker 1: the Netflix ESPN documentary glorified Michael Jordan while not giving
- 39:53Speaker 1: nearly enough praise to me, meaning him, Scottie and my
- 39:57Speaker 1: proud teammates. Each episode was the same Michael on a
- 40:01Speaker 1: pedestal his teammates secondary smaller. The message no different from
- 40:05Speaker 1: when he referred to us back then as his supporting cast. Well,
- 40:10Speaker 1: Scottie Pippen is bitter, but does he have a point? Guys?
- 40:14Speaker 1: Does he have a point? Mans grudge? Yeah? I mean,
- 40:24Speaker 1: come on, it's twenty twenty one. What were doing when here? Scotti?
- 40:27Speaker 1: Has life not gone owned? Or we've just gone? How
- 40:31Speaker 1: long we've gone? Holy it doin't no sense. I think
- 40:37Speaker 1: Scotti has a lot of things he could be mad about,
- 40:40Speaker 1: like his contract the way he signed it. But playing
- 40:45Speaker 1: with Michael Jordan's was what it was. This dude had
- 40:50Speaker 1: expectations of himself and everybody that played for him, and
- 40:55Speaker 1: since it's such a team sport, we all got to
- 40:58Speaker 1: get on one accord. So he tried to impress upon
- 41:02Speaker 1: everybody the will and the mindset that you had to have.
- 41:06Speaker 1: It was clear in the documentary all I saw was
- 41:08Speaker 1: a winner wanting to win. As I saw was a
- 41:11Speaker 1: person trying to push everybody to be the absolute best.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Now in todays you don't feel like being pushed that.
- 41:17Speaker 1: That's not how greatness has accomplished. Greatness has accomplished through discipline.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Discipline is doing what you have to do when you
- 41:24Speaker 1: don't want to. And so I'm sorry, man, I don't
- 41:28Speaker 1: know what y'all complaining about. Y'all was at the ring ceremony,
- 41:31Speaker 1: y'all was at all the parades. You know, y'all was
- 41:35Speaker 1: dating the women that came along with it. You ain't
- 41:37Speaker 1: had none of them, damn problems. And whatever money you
- 41:40Speaker 1: got paid, it's because that's what you and your team negotiated.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Michael got his money. Mike was worth every dime he
- 41:51Speaker 1: sold out Arenas. Michael Jordan was not born to be
- 41:55Speaker 1: a social activist. Michael Jordan was born to turn basketball
- 41:59Speaker 1: into a noble sport. That jump emblem is in Israel,
- 42:04Speaker 1: that jump emblem is in Saudi Arabia, that jump emblem
- 42:09Speaker 1: is all over Africa. That's what he was born. Now
- 42:13Speaker 1: you look at Michael, But Michael has always done philanthropic stuff.
- 42:16Speaker 1: It just didn't get no pub But he's always done
- 42:21Speaker 1: philanthropic stuff and now he does even more. But everybody
- 42:25Speaker 1: talking about what Michael ain't when you need to be
- 42:27Speaker 1: talking about what Michael is. And since we're talking about Jed,
- 42:31Speaker 1: let me say this. He is the greatest basketball player
- 42:35Speaker 1: to ever have played the game. I've tried to work
- 42:40Speaker 1: my boy Lebron in it, and he's in the conversation.
- 42:44Speaker 1: But when I look at the film and I look
- 42:48Speaker 1: at how they played that damn Jordan, I don't care
- 42:56Speaker 1: what are you put him in. That boy was beautiful
- 42:58Speaker 1: to watch. He was beautiful to watch play basketball. Let's
- 43:04Speaker 1: just say this. Let me just say this, So Scotti
- 43:06Speaker 1: quit talking. Okay, you're talking about you felt smaller. Okay,
- 43:10Speaker 1: Michael average thirty points of the game. You average sixteen.
- 43:15Speaker 1: That's smaller by damn near half as your ass should
- 43:23Speaker 1: have just been at the half documentary. Okay, So Steve,
- 43:26Speaker 1: let me ask you this. What does Scotty want? What
- 43:31Speaker 1: I know, money for this book. Yeah, that's what this
- 43:38Speaker 1: is for money for the book. Are you going to
- 43:42Speaker 1: read it? On? No what? I gotta read it for
- 43:47Speaker 1: the only time I have the only stuff I got
- 43:49Speaker 1: time to read for self help books, I ain't got
- 43:52Speaker 1: no time to read like a damn novel. I don't
- 43:56Speaker 1: even care how you felt. He ain't got no sales
- 43:58Speaker 1: on this show dog, not from me. I'm not buying
- 44:02Speaker 1: a book about what happened in nineteen so so junior.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Has Michael Jordan commented, has he said any when I
- 44:15Speaker 1: don't think he should. I don't think he should say anything.
- 44:17Speaker 1: You buy the book what I'm Gonna learning? A Scottie
- 44:19Speaker 1: Pippin book. All right? Coming up next the nephew with
- 44:23Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. Right after this, you're listening to
- 44:27Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 44:31Speaker 1: of the hour. Right about four minutes after. It's my
- 44:33Speaker 1: Strawberry letter for today, the subject He's not welcome in
- 44:37Speaker 1: my house. We'll get into that. Can't wait to Steve.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Here's this one. We'll get into that in just a
- 44:46Speaker 1: little bit, because right now the nephew is here with
- 44:49Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. What you got for us? Nev
- 44:52Speaker 1: make a wish ministry? All right, I'm gonna said what
- 44:59Speaker 1: I'm time? May which ministry? You Baptist? This is Terrence Man,
- 45:07Speaker 1: help you please, Brother Terence. Yeah, how you doing? I
- 45:10Speaker 1: got your h your number? You you went the over
- 45:14Speaker 1: the church. You went to make a witch ministry. Yes,
- 45:16Speaker 1: I am, I'm gonna help you. Well listen, I'm I'm
- 45:19Speaker 1: I'm actually uh, I'm I'm terminally ill. Brothers, Brother Terrence
- 45:25Speaker 1: and I don't you know. As far as what the
- 45:29Speaker 1: doctors tell me, it could be six months or another year.
- 45:34Speaker 1: But I know my time here is definitely limited. You know. Well,
- 45:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry to hear that, but we're definitely here to
- 45:42Speaker 1: help you out with whatever you need or whatever we
- 45:45Speaker 1: can help you with. So what can we do for you? Well?
- 45:47Speaker 1: You know, I truly believe that sometimes people have you know,
- 45:52Speaker 1: I've seen one of the old movies they got with
- 45:54Speaker 1: it got a bucket list or whatever they called it.
- 45:56Speaker 1: You know, people trying to do things before they leave here.
- 45:59Speaker 1: I guess I'm just sitting around trying to figure out
- 46:02Speaker 1: what I could do and what I wanted to do
- 46:04Speaker 1: before I left this world and went on to what
- 46:07Speaker 1: he has for me next. Right. You know, I don't
- 46:10Speaker 1: believe in doing anything unless it's prayed on words. Oh yeah,
- 46:15Speaker 1: if you don't mind, maybe you can. You know, before
- 46:19Speaker 1: I can tell you my wish, we prayed that the
- 46:21Speaker 1: wish would come true. You you you're not doing anything
- 46:24Speaker 1: like that. Oh no, I don't mind praying. That's what
- 46:26Speaker 1: we're here. FI bow your head with him, Yes, your
- 46:30Speaker 1: sir is your head? Bow, yes, sir, your sir. Hell
- 46:34Speaker 1: the God we come to you in the umeless way.
- 46:37Speaker 1: We know how Lord, we ask you to touch this
- 46:40Speaker 1: young man and every which way he hurt, and then
- 46:43Speaker 1: we ask you to deliver him for whatever is going
- 46:46Speaker 1: on with him, and let him know that we the
- 46:49Speaker 1: church is here to help him with whatever his needs
- 46:52Speaker 1: is in his last days. And Jesus Name, I pray
- 46:56Speaker 1: say Amen with him. Amen, it's gonna do it here.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Now you a member of the church here of New Well.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I was a member. I still consider myself. Remember it's
- 47:08Speaker 1: just been quite some time trying to over a year
- 47:11Speaker 1: and a half, two years since I've been able to
- 47:13Speaker 1: come to you know, through to my my illness. But
- 47:17Speaker 1: definitely I will remember that. Well, that's all right. We're
- 47:20Speaker 1: not worried about all that. We just here to take
- 47:23Speaker 1: care of your last and final wish. That's what our
- 47:26Speaker 1: minister is for. You know. We helped people with with
- 47:29Speaker 1: with anything they need, you know, like that. What what
- 47:32Speaker 1: all I mean when when people call them won't say
- 47:35Speaker 1: what all of you you are? What all of y'all
- 47:37Speaker 1: helped them with? Well, we've helped them with the rent, uh,
- 47:42Speaker 1: take them to the store, help them with a utility bill,
- 47:47Speaker 1: come out and cut the grass. Anything like that. They
- 47:50Speaker 1: just can't do. Take them to the doctor's appointment. Anything
- 47:53Speaker 1: we'd like to help them with, we do exactly that. Okay, Well,
- 47:57Speaker 1: I pretty much got those things. I can tell I
- 48:01Speaker 1: think what I'd like to do between you and and
- 48:04Speaker 1: and myself or the dandel I've never told anyone what
- 48:08Speaker 1: I'm about to tell you. I've never been with a
- 48:12Speaker 1: with with a woman too. I'm you know, I'm thirty eight,
- 48:17Speaker 1: but I've never been with a woman. Well, I guess
- 48:21Speaker 1: that might be a blessing. You might you might be
- 48:23Speaker 1: bear that's a good thing. Well, you know, but sometimes
- 48:26Speaker 1: you know, I guess before I leave, I guess that's
- 48:29Speaker 1: a desire that I have. And and and uh, what
- 48:33Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you was there is a lady
- 48:36Speaker 1: there at the church, and before I leave, I think
- 48:41Speaker 1: that's a woman that I would actually like to be with. Well,
- 48:46Speaker 1: I don't know if Make a Wish Ministry can support
- 48:49Speaker 1: that kind of stuff, but uh go ahead, let me hear. Okay,
- 48:53Speaker 1: the lady that I'm actually interested in actually uh ich
- 48:57Speaker 1: works at the church too. Well, I see she's kind
- 49:02Speaker 1: of a tall she's about five nine, and she's probably
- 49:05Speaker 1: about a size eight beautiful long leagues man and and
- 49:09Speaker 1: and Sandy type of half sandy color for Sandy brown
- 49:14Speaker 1: man and I mean she looked like care man. Hold
- 49:17Speaker 1: on a minute. What's her name? I think her name Linda?
- 49:23Speaker 1: Now hold on, that's my wife? What you mean go
- 49:26Speaker 1: ahead and see? Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
- 49:29Speaker 1: Lindy your wife? Yeah, that's my wife? You Sorrence, what
- 49:33Speaker 1: do you mean? Listen? Y'all are ministry now now, If
- 49:37Speaker 1: y'all supposed to be taking care of people on equal
- 49:39Speaker 1: wish and and taking care of what they want before
- 49:42Speaker 1: they leave this world, if that's my wish, what is
- 49:44Speaker 1: the problem listening here? You didn't cross every line there
- 49:48Speaker 1: was about this man, so I don't give a damn
- 49:50Speaker 1: about it. I'm you're talking about sleeping with my Like
- 49:53Speaker 1: if I see y'all gonna do something to you, they
- 49:55Speaker 1: ain't gonna even be able to recognize you. So what
- 49:57Speaker 1: the you talking about? Missing with my wife? Son of us?
- 50:00Speaker 1: I called miss Linda myself, and see if you know
- 50:03Speaker 1: our problem with helping me make my wish come true?
- 50:06Speaker 1: Right ahead and calling you won't call nobody else. That
- 50:10Speaker 1: would be the last called you make. I thought y'all
- 50:13Speaker 1: were here to relieve people so they can enjoy themselves
- 50:17Speaker 1: and before they leave this world. You talk about sleeping
- 50:21Speaker 1: with my wife? Are you crazy? But if I'm going
- 50:23Speaker 1: to leave here, ain't nobody gonna know? But you want hut?
- 50:26Speaker 1: I don't care if you die. I don't care. You
- 50:29Speaker 1: ain't sleeping with my wife and your food with her.
- 50:31Speaker 1: You probably gonna go ahead and die quicker than you
- 50:34Speaker 1: need you. I thought this was a ministry. I don't
- 50:37Speaker 1: tell you would now you won't. They're telling me about
- 50:39Speaker 1: guard y'all supposed to be a ministry that helps people
- 50:42Speaker 1: before they live the word what it is? Did you
- 50:44Speaker 1: talk about sleeping with my wife? You got an illness,
- 50:47Speaker 1: but something must be wrong with you. Ain't talking about
- 50:50Speaker 1: missing with man wife? Ain't nobody don't even know? I've
- 50:52Speaker 1: been with your wife? Wants something gonna there? Ain't gonna
- 50:54Speaker 1: people to tool y'all. At least you would have helped
- 50:56Speaker 1: me before. I I can't help you with nothing. And
- 50:59Speaker 1: let me tell you something. I'm not the preacher. I'm
- 51:01Speaker 1: not the pastor, I'm not the deacon, I'm not none
- 51:04Speaker 1: of them. But if you mentioned my wife, you're gonna
- 51:07Speaker 1: know who I am. I'm gonna be the undertaker. Do
- 51:09Speaker 1: you understand? I hear what you say. But I got
- 51:11Speaker 1: one more thing I need to tell you about who
- 51:13Speaker 1: I ain't who asked you? Isn't it to go ahead?
- 51:16Speaker 1: Let me in? This is niphew talk me from the
- 51:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your wife, remember y'all me the
- 51:24Speaker 1: phrase shock. No, y'all, ain't tell me the place you
- 51:29Speaker 1: roll as y ain't recording this is. It's recorded. Every
- 51:36Speaker 1: less bit of Lord Hammer past ain't gonna hear this is.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Oh god, I got one more thing. What is the
- 51:47Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the radio show in the land,
- 51:52Speaker 1: Steve Harving Morning Show. Come on, church man, know if
- 51:59Speaker 1: you die, I'm gonna here chat. He'll give a damn
- 52:02Speaker 1: if you die. Make that listen. If you mess with
- 52:04Speaker 1: my wife, you're gonna do, You're gonna die sooner than
- 52:06Speaker 1: you have. I'm not to preach. I'm not I'm gonna chance.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I'm yeah. No, I ain't gonna here. No no no, no, no,
- 52:20Speaker 1: no no no. You agreed to it. You said yeah, no,
- 52:22Speaker 1: I ain't no saying yeah no no no no. It
- 52:25Speaker 1: wasn't fishing. He had said it, and your dumb man said, yeah,
- 52:29Speaker 1: oh wait, oh, I ain't gonna help. No, no, not him.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Come on, pray for you man, prayed for you to talk, Yes, Frank,
- 52:39Speaker 1: pray in junior wax. Great. You would turn to the
- 52:47Speaker 1: Book of Duval twelve, chapter thirteen, verse It reads, no
- 52:54Speaker 1: film of twelve and thirteen. A fool shall come to town.
- 53:01Speaker 1: That's what it's saying. You see that be reading further.
- 53:05Speaker 1: That's at the Ramona a billion ball room. A fold
- 53:09Speaker 1: shall come to town and spread jokes where out the
- 53:16Speaker 1: Sydney that would be in Jacksonville. Flower, thank you, And
- 53:20Speaker 1: that is once again Novenman twelfth and thirteen, and I
- 53:25Speaker 1: will make a joy for occasion upon that city. All right,
- 53:30Speaker 1: everybody's saying, man, a man, ragged ass church man whatever. Anyway,

- 54:06Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 54:10Speaker 1: going to read this one right here, right now. You
- 54:13Speaker 1: never know. It could be yours. It could be yours.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Buck alumpit, hold on tight, We got it for you.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Here it Strawberry letter. Subject, He's not welcome in my house.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a thirty two year old black
- 54:28Speaker 1: man married to a white woman who is thirty years old.
- 54:32Speaker 1: We've been married for four years and have two children.
- 54:35Speaker 1: My wife has two older brothers. One lives in the
- 54:39Speaker 1: same subdivision as us, and the other lives out of state,
- 54:42Speaker 1: and I have never met him because I'm black. When
- 54:46Speaker 1: I proposed to my wife, he told my wife that
- 54:49Speaker 1: he'd never accept her marrying an N word, and it
- 54:52Speaker 1: broke my heart. They still talk occasionally, but their relationship
- 54:56Speaker 1: is damaged forever. I have never gotten this type of
- 55:00Speaker 1: eggative energy from my wife's other brother, and her parents
- 55:02Speaker 1: treat me like I'm their son. Last year, we celebrated
- 55:06Speaker 1: Thanksgiving at my in law's house in Kentucky and everyone
- 55:10Speaker 1: came to dinner except her racist brother. Her father has
- 55:13Speaker 1: tried to talk some sense into his racist son, and
- 55:16Speaker 1: I've told him it's totally fine and he's allowed to
- 55:19Speaker 1: feel how he wants to feel. The kicker is that
- 55:22Speaker 1: he's the one child in the family that's foods up
- 55:25Speaker 1: every job he's ever had. He won't get vaccinated, and
- 55:29Speaker 1: he thinks all lives matter. He is one of those
- 55:32Speaker 1: people that I wouldn't try to talk to anyway. My
- 55:35Speaker 1: father in law is adamant about changing his views, and
- 55:39Speaker 1: he's asked if this dude can come to Thanksgiving dinner
- 55:42Speaker 1: at my home this year. I told him that I
- 55:46Speaker 1: would cancel hosting dinner if he insists on having this
- 55:49Speaker 1: dude in my home. My wife got a call this
- 55:51Speaker 1: week from her brother and he apologized to her and
- 55:54Speaker 1: asked if she would talk to me, talk me into
- 55:57Speaker 1: letting him break bread with us this year. I told her,
- 56:00Speaker 1: hell no, he's not welcome in my house. She told
- 56:04Speaker 1: me that she'd respect my wishes, but it's tearing her
- 56:07Speaker 1: up inside. Her mother is my girl, and she called
- 56:11Speaker 1: and asked if I'd reconsider I'm looking like the angry
- 56:14Speaker 1: black dude, So should I allow the racist to come
- 56:17Speaker 1: to dinner? All right? I gotta tell you first off,
- 56:22Speaker 1: Please don't buy into the racial stereotype of the angry
- 56:25Speaker 1: black man, because you are more than justified and how
- 56:28Speaker 1: you feel, especially you know, when there's racism involved, there's
- 56:32Speaker 1: a lot weighing on this. You got your wife who's
- 56:34Speaker 1: right in the middle of her family conflict. But of
- 56:37Speaker 1: course she's choosing you wisely. The rest of her family
- 56:41Speaker 1: is cool and treat you well. You say, but I
- 56:43Speaker 1: got to ask you this, what did you think was
- 56:45Speaker 1: going to happen as a black man. Did you not
- 56:48Speaker 1: think there was a possibility there would be maybe that
- 56:52Speaker 1: some of the family wouldn't accept you. And listen, I'm
- 56:56Speaker 1: a person that's all about forgiveness and moving forward it
- 57:00Speaker 1: and all of that. But blatant racism and someone calling
- 57:03Speaker 1: you the N word. Come on, it's real hard to
- 57:06Speaker 1: take the high road when stuff like that happens. You
- 57:09Speaker 1: just can't ignore it and break bread with this clown
- 57:11Speaker 1: at Thanksgiving dinner. No, surely a fight will break out.
- 57:16Speaker 1: But you know, then again, this is the family you
- 57:19Speaker 1: married into, with the racist brother and all, and you
- 57:22Speaker 1: have to address it, and you should address it. I mean,
- 57:26Speaker 1: it would make your wife happy for one thing. And
- 57:28Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Day where everyone is there is a good time
- 57:31Speaker 1: to try and resolve this issue. So I say, yes,
- 57:34Speaker 1: invite the racist brother to your home, your turf, where
- 57:37Speaker 1: if he starts acting a fool, you can put him out.
- 57:41Speaker 1: You know, you should put it all out there, say
- 57:43Speaker 1: everything you want to say. Hear him out. See if
- 57:46Speaker 1: you notice a change or something in him. You should
- 57:49Speaker 1: get an apologies, which you should get some sort of
- 57:53Speaker 1: change in his behavior if he's truly remorseful, and then
- 57:57Speaker 1: maybe you guys can build from there. If it's real,
- 57:59Speaker 1: I mean, and it's worth the shot. I think. I'm
- 58:01Speaker 1: sure your wife will appreciate the fact that you did
- 58:04Speaker 1: this for her, and I think do it before dinner
- 58:07Speaker 1: so you can enjoy your Thanksgiving meal. Steve, Well, No,
- 58:14Speaker 1: I don't have a vastly different opinion. You said a
- 58:17Speaker 1: couple of things I agree with. I just don't agree
- 58:20Speaker 1: with the order because first of all, look, man, you're
- 58:24Speaker 1: married into a different family, which is okay. It happens
- 58:29Speaker 1: all the time. Love is love. I say this all
- 58:31Speaker 1: the time. People should marry who they love, regardless of
- 58:34Speaker 1: your skin color. But we all know the problems are
- 58:37Speaker 1: going to come up in a marriage. I don't care
- 58:39Speaker 1: what color the person is, but when another person does
- 58:44Speaker 1: care about the color, we have an instant problem. Everybody's cool,
- 58:49Speaker 1: what you accept her brother, the father has talked to him,
- 58:54Speaker 1: the mother has talked to him, your other brother has
- 58:57Speaker 1: talked to him. Everybody talked to him. But he's not
- 59:01Speaker 1: accepting the fact that she's marrying it. In words. Now,
- 59:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna get to what I think the solution to
- 59:09Speaker 1: this could be. But I also understand if you don't
- 59:13Speaker 1: accept what I'm about to say, because I perfectly understand
- 59:19Speaker 1: exactly how you feel. That right there is a tough
- 59:24Speaker 1: peal to swallow. Now, you all have been trying to
- 59:27Speaker 1: get him to come around. He refuses it. Now the
- 59:31Speaker 1: Thanksgiving dinner as at your house. Now everybody's asking you,
- 59:37Speaker 1: and his mother called you and asked you to reconsider,
- 59:40Speaker 1: and she's always been kind to you. Your wife asked
- 59:44Speaker 1: you to consider it. But she also said the very
- 59:47Speaker 1: smart thing, I would respect your wishes because okay, this
- 59:52Speaker 1: is a good marriage. My husband still lives here. I
- 59:55Speaker 1: got to honor his wishes. Now he and about it
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: the wrong way. He asked his sister to talk to
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: you about allowing you to come. That's some coward to
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: ask mess right there. What you got your sister going
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: to undo your damn dirty work for that to me
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: is file again. So you're doing everything, mister white racist,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: except deal with the fact that you are the white racist.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: When I come back, I offer my potential solution. All right,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: thank you, Steve. We'll have part two of Steve's response
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour of
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter, subject He's not Welcome in My House.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this you're listening
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: to all right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: He's not welcome in my house is the subject. Well,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: this thirty two old black guy has a problem. He's
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: married to a white woman. That's not his problem. Or
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: she's thirty been married for four years, they got two kids.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Your wife got two older brother living the same such
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: division as us. That's one of them, an other out
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: of state. You've never met the other one out of
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: state because you're black, because he never approved of her
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: marrying an in word quote unquote. Now they still talk occasionally,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: but their relationship is damaged forever. I've never gotten this
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: negative energy from my wife's other brother and her parents.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: They treat me like their son, and last year they
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: celebrated Thanksgiving out the in law's house in Kentucky. Everybody
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: came to then accept a racist brother a father and
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: tried talking him sense into this boy. I've told him
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: it's totally fine and he's allowed to feel how he
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: wants to feel. The kicker is that he's the one
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: child in the family that screws up every job he's
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: ever had. He won't get vaccinated, he thinks all lives matter.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: He's one of those people I wouldn't try to talk
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: to anyway. Okay, I got it. Now your father in
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: law is adamant about changing his son's views. Now this
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: shiit of Thanksgiving dinner is at Charles house and he's
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: asked if this dude could come to Thanksgiving dinner at
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: your house. I told him I would counsel hosting dinner
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: if he insists on having this dude in my house.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Then your wife got a call this week from her
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: brother and he apologized to her and asked if she
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: would talk me into letting him break bread with us
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: this year. That's the cowardice that I don't like in
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: this letter. So you can call a man an inn word.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: You want to come to his house, but you won't
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: your sister to talk to you about it and apologize. No, man,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: that's your damn job. You to screw up. You made
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: the violation. The only way this could work. I told her,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: hell no, he ain't welcome in my house. She told
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: me she respect my wishes, but it's tearing her up inside.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Her mother is my girl. She called and asked me
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: if I reconsider I'm looking like the angry black dude. No,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you're not. No, you're not. You know you're not looking
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: like the angry black dude. You're looking like a victim
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: of racism. And they need to get a close up
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: view of what they look like because the racist is
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: in their damn family. So should I allow this racist
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: to come to dinner? Now here we go. I agree
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: with everything you said in this letter, and I understand
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: exactly how you feel, and I don't know if I
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: would allow him in my home. She brought him with you.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: One thousand percent on this, You're not wrong on any
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: stretch of the imagination problem. The whole problem is they
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: asking you to be the biggest man of them all
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: and allow a person in your house that didn't call
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you the end. That's hard, man, that's a big ask. Now.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: I know it's their family and they're gonna love him
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: regardless as they should. But he ain't your family, and
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: you ain't got to love him. See a difference between
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: family and friends. You get to pick your friends. You
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: said in a letter, this is not a guy you
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: would talk to anyway. You wouldn't even pick him as
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: a friend. But he came with that damn family, and
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: he is the rotten apple in that family. So now
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I don't understand how he thinks that by calling your
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: wife and apologizing to her and then ask her if
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: she would talk you into letting him break bread with
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: us this year? Well see now this was the you
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: know now, No I didn't come to a head. Here's
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: what the coward racist should have done. Can I talk
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: to him? Man to man? I disagree with Shirley. This
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: is a wonderful time to solve it. At Thanksgiving all that,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you ain't coming to my house messing up my damn holiday.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: We have Thanksgiving once a year. You're not coming to
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: my house to talk about why you didn't call me? Then?
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: N word? Now, if we want to meet with me,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: one on one somewhere outside of my home before Thanksgiving.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Get him. I'll give you an opportunity to say what
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: you want to say. I'll give you an opportunity to
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: make me feel better about having your racist ass in
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: my house. I'll give you an opportunity to tell me
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: how you calling me the N word. Now all of
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: a sudden, where that person at that versus the one
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: that's coming to my house prior to Thanksgiving Day? Because
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Day ought to be just family sitting around eating,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: watching football, having a good time. The day of Thanksgiving
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: is not the day to resolve this conflict. The coward
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: racist should have enough gumption in his body, which he
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: don't have. Most racist are cowards. You need to talk
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: to me, man to man before the week, and then
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: you decide from that. If he can apologize and tell
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: you he was wrong, that he's grown and he's changed,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: he's trying to become a better man. And then if you,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: for the sake of your wife and your family, won't
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: allow him to come to your house, that'd be one thing.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: All The simple thing was we haven't Thanksgiving at your
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: mom and daddy's house, and we can all go there
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I don't really know how you're gonna get past this one.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: All right, post your comments on today's Strubberry Letter at
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Steve our VFM, on Instagram and Facebook, and check out
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up at forty
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: six minutes after you know what time it is time
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: for Junior and Sports Talk. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, Junior is
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: here with Sports Talk. What you got Junior? Oh man,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: where's pimping? What happened this week? Pippa? It was a
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: week or shocks, piping, shotg god, dog, I'm sitting there,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: little news call going Who who did? After? Man? It
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: was crazy this week, Pippo. Let's go through so many games. May.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: First of all, the Broccos beat the Cowboys thirty to sixteen. Lord,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: hell no, how I don't know, Pipping. I can't believe it.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Even Pippo hit another way you picked us this week
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: the Texas lost seventeen to nine to the doctor. That
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: that was the dumbest pick uded day. Another one. I
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: was influenced. You were influence? Huh yeah? We can we
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: beg the the picket too. We did we bear to
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: come on, pimp and pickers, come and then we just
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: let them down. Here we go. The Falcons beat the
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Saints twenty seven twenty five. Another disappointment, made your pimple
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: higgo another one. The Giants actually won. They beat the
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Raiders twenty three to sixteen. What hells ever of all time?
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Pimper higgo another one, man, you mean to tell me
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: the Jaguars beat the Bills nine to six. Who the
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: hell would have thought something like that? This is a
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: conspiracy against the pimp. Tragedy has struck nation. Why this
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: is unbelievable, pimpant. But man, you did get something right man.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: But he got another one though. This was crazy, man.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: The Titans beat the Rams twenty eight to sixteen. Pepper,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: it was just getting worse down without Derek hehing me. Yeah,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: he't hen me it was out. I said, in no way,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: no what it was. It was just a crazy week, pippot.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I mean, I can't even tell you, man, I mean,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: but you did you did nail something. You got the
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Ravens over the Vikings thirty foto thirty one. You did
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: get you got the Charges over the Eagles twenty seven
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: to twenty four. So he gonna feel you got this
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: a right, pippt the brow showed up man bank that
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: boot and gave it to him. All my frap brother
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: was so mad. Now party in Cleveland right now going on, No, no,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: we don't party from whipping and beings as he got
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: to the stains and get a party from him. Yeah, okay, man,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: when you know, man, just a crazy week, Pippo. Man,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: I can't tell you, man, but you know you didn't
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: have more wins than you did losses. It was seven
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: and six this week, so you know, Pippo, don't be
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: you man, Man six that's like regular. I can't be regular.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Thank you. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: we're gonna check out Steve's voicemail eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening Morning show. Eve. Are you ready?
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Let's go to line one, Uncle Steve. I would like
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: to know why do men leave their wedding wings off
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: if they know they're not married. It's not good for
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: single women because it could be a collision. I just
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: want to know what you have to say about that.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Get back to me. Love on the boardcast, peace and blessing. Okay,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: did I misunderstand the question. Did she say why don't women?
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Why do men? Lead? They wear the ring if they
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: know they're married, if they know they're not married. What
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: does she say, no married men wear their wedding rings. Well,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: you know, sometimes they don't wear it for work related purposes,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: like around machinery. And then sometimes they don't wear it
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: because they left it at home. And the majority of
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: times they don't wear it because they don't need you
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: to know thank you. Those are the only three reasons
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: they forgot it lost. They don't wear it for a
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: certain job, like if you're a machinist or something like that.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: I understand that I don't like playing it. I don't
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: like having my wear ring on when I play golf
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: because that hand has a tendency to swear. Sometimes my
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: left hand, but I've changed my grips or it don't
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: do that in a ball. So because I was keeping
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: the club too hard, It's they day up to something. Okay,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: let's go to line too, Aaron Rodgers, have you lost
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: your damn mine with your line? Ass as that white privilege?
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: He said. When the top blathers vaccine hyne, I mean
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: in munized. First of all, I already know what the
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: hell that even means. I don't know if I even
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: said it correctly, but that's that white privilege speaking. But
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: you want to kill Kyle Rito, right, Kyrie gets killed.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: But Aaron Rodgers hun I even munonized. Let me tell
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: you something. Aaron Rodgers is in front of me so
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: bad that he's now number three on my all Time
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Great White Athlete list. It was Larry Bird, Aaron Rodgers
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: call him alone. Now on my all time Great White
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: Athlete list, it's Larry Bird. Calm alone. Now Aaron Rodgers. Hey,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: look at but it's two cbe man represented Charlotte. I'm
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: out some real issues. He came in with some real issues.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: First of all, Man, I've met Karl Malone, one of
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: the coolest dudes on planet Earth. Man grew up a
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: little bit different from us, but that's one of the
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: coolest dudes on planet I started that. No he's not, No,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: he's no, he's not, but he mad at it. That's
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: the sardcasting the far as Larry Bird go. You just
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: hate Larry Bird. I guess I don't know why you
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: don't like him, or if you saying he's one of
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: your favorites. I don't know. Larry Birds, one of the
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: greatest basketball players ever lays up. But now let me
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: tell you something. Your hatred for all. I don't compare
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: the Aaron Rodgers and Kyrie Irving cases at all. But
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: I just said I don't. I don't compare them at all.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers said he got vaccinated or immunized, but he
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: didn't get the vaccination. He's saying now it has things
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: in it that he's allergic to. But he did another
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: treatment that he thought was equal to the vaccination. That's
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: what he's trying to say, which is bullcrap because none
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: of that has proven. Okay, so now you lie, you
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: got busted. When are we tripping because they lie that
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: where that new revelation comes from. They lie. Now Kyrie
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: getting eating a live because he don't want the vaccine
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: and it's affecting his team, and it's a mandate. It's
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: the NBA and the NFL have two different mandates here, man.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: So bro, it's nothing I can help you with right there.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: You can go on and feel how you want to feel,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: because I see you on one. Kyrie is no way
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna miss that kind of money for not being fascinating.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: That's just me. But if you got enough money where
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: you can miss Folle in thirty five thousand, a game
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: didn't go ahead. I ain't that, dude. I'm dribbling. All right,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Well it more of today's trending stories coming up to
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, and trending holiday Christmas
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: tree news. The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree has been chosen
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: and is being crepped for its trip to New York
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: City for the first time ever. The tree is from Maryland.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: It's a seventy nine foot Norway spruce. It will be
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: cut on November eleventh and will arrive at its holiday
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: home on November thirteenth. The Christmas tree lighting ceremony takes
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: place on December first, and the tree will be there
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: until January sixteen of next year. So Steve, yes, I'm
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: seventy nine feet that's tall. The stall on top of
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: that tree, Yeah, that's that's they put one. They put
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: a crane in your house to put the star on
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: top of your tree too. Yeah, what's the latest. Oh no,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: that's no, it's no need for that for a crane. Sir,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: But what's the latest on your christ When your Christmas?
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: You put the star on the tree when it's laying down.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: You put all lights on the tree when it's laying down.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Christmas tree. You Yeah, I don't even know why. It's
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: got to be the subject every year, because it's interesting,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Steve from its fat it's father. Mine comes from Oregon
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: or either North Carolina. What line come from Walmart? Yeah? Yeah, Amazon? Amazon?
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Then uh no, you don't, Tommy, stop lying. Look at
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: the time, yep, Christmas tree talk over. We'll come back
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: with the round of would you rather? At thirty three

- 1:17:14Speaker 1: people are driving, are flying and all of that now
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: because the holidays are coming up. So would you rather
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: have your flight delayed by eight hours just sitting there
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: for eight hours? Or would you rather lose your luggage?
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I guess almost just wait eight out? Why do I
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: want to lose my leggage? That's it's a would you rather?
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: I'd rather? I'd rather I go here American Express room
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: and chill out up there until the for eight hours?
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: For eight hours? What is the American Express room? Time?
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: It's allows you go to when you it's in the airport.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Most airports having American Express louns and you going in
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: you kick? How you get in there? You having? Oh god,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I didn't fell and it's a rich stuff. Okay, Yeah,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: come on, come on, help us out because I'm not
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: familiar with it, So go ahead and tell me. So
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: you have to, you know, familiar with it, because your
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: airport doesn't have that. But we're talking about the American
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Express Loune though. We're not talking about that, so we're
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: talking to what our listeners about the Christmas Tree. Okay,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: so let's just go on and talk about this American
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Express line. Where is it that in the airport. I've
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: been in the airport's timing with americ Express line. I
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: don't sure sure. Lax has it, O'Hara has it? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Philly has it? Yeah? Inte you Junior? Yeah yeah?
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: What kind of American Express do you have to have
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: to get in there? Uh? Problem, Platinum, I'm not sing
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: for you, Platinum. Oh you ain't sure what the little
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: ask people need? Did you platinum or black? I don't
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: want to do this. I don't want it's done. No
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: way to go, rich boy. Yeah, I can't express lounge
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: all right, I got you, go ahead anyway. I don't
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: want to. I don't want my bags to another Would
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: you rather? Would you rather be the star player on
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: a losing basketball team or ride the bench on a
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: winning basketball team? Would you rather losing team? Well, I'm
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: gonna be Alicia. I might have a West conference. Go
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: talk to me about this. I had to carry the
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: team another night. Yeah, it's you know, it's just bring
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: a dude for me. You know, I'm sorry, man, I
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: wish I had help. You know, I'm gonna bring all
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: that up. I'm gonna be the star on the losing team.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: I've been a chiff for nobody, getting interviewed every night.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: I'm just gonna have to go and I'm gonna be
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: a star player on the losing team because I'd have
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: been that a bunch of times. So you know, how
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: didn't go on what about your nephew? I wouldn't been
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: the star counsel shows and everything, So I take it.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna ride the bench. We're going to
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: playoffs and everything. We're going to the championship. I just yeah,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: routed a good job, fellas. Great. Listen, you're on the bench. Okay, yeah,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: all right, that's what you do when you go to
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: the America Spress Lounge. Yeah, minutes after the hour, our
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: last break of the day and some closing remarks from
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we are, guys,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: our last break of the day, Tuesday, but a good day. Yeah,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: and right before we get to Steve and his closing remarks,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: anybody learn anything today? Oh? I learned that? This? Would
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: you learn? Fresh? Loune? I ain't anybody to shut up?
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: There's a little perk and you kept from yeah only
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: one you bought it. But you and caller move on.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I'm with Tommy. Now, let's move on. Oh it's amazing
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: how we have to move on. What it's about, y'all
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Richard's lives. Oh, but the moment we get on, Steve's like, oh,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: let's just lay on it and ask more questions and
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: who I come? What you're doing? Wait a minute, when
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: they're black American Express. Loune I didn't hear nobody. Hello,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: we have a listening audience. People. You know what they
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: do to me U at the gate, they like, Julian,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: what you doing here? Why are you pressne I said,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: I don't even know you. This is all that's all. Steve,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: you at Delton, what you're doing here? We've never seen
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: you over here? You must be doing bad. He all
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: appeared the gate. Now, yeah, you're definitely not regular, Steve,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: Uncle Steve, you're at food court? You alright? Man cheerless? Yeah,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: picking up a magazine. His ass didn't off. I've had
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: a few money when good. Hey, let's talk about this
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: for a minute. My clothing remarks. I just want to
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: encourage people. Folks, listen to me. Don't settle. Don't do that.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: Don't do that to yourself. Don't settle. Stop thinking that
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: you don't deserve better. Stop thinking that better is out
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: of your reach. Stop thinking that doing and wanting more
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: and having more and being better is delusional, because it's not.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: You just gotta stop settling. Listen, this thing called life
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: is for everybody to experience. You don't have to just exist,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: but you got to start with how you think. Stop settling,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Stop talking yourself out of blessings, Stop talking yourself out
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: of the things that could make your life better, easier, simpler, richer.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: And I don't mean rich as in a financial dollar,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: just the experience of it all. I see and hear
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: people all the time get introduced to new ideas and
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: new concepts, and they talk their self right out of it.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: I can't do that. I'm this, I can't do that.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: I'm not who that's for. That's for you. You got
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: that now, it's for everybody. But you have to make
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: a decision not to settle. I'm gonna say it again,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: Stop talking yourself out of being blessed. Stop talking yourself
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: out of a better life, because I see people do
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: it all the time. Everything you see is available if
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: you believe it's available for you. Now the moment you
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: don't think is available for you, you are correct, and
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: guess what, it'll never come your way. So we are
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: talking about a simple mental adjustment of actually believing what
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: you see. Do you know that's the problem with most people.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: Most people don't believe the things they see. It's right
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: in front of you, and they don't believe it's that
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: somebody show up with a new car every two years
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: on your block, and how to account see how they're
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: getting a new carvy two years. It's down there. Look look,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: go out on your side walk, look up in the
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: front of their house, and there's a new car again.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: But if you don't believe you could have, you should
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: have a new carvy two years, or you could get
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: a card new two every two years. Guess what you
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: keep driving and you get the maximum. People don't want
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: to stretch themselves out of discomfort with Steve. You don't
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: understand I beg to differ. I really do understand. I
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: understand better than you think. I really really do it.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: But that's the keyword thought. I understand better than you think.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Keyword better than you think. The only reason I know
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: I understand what can happen better is because the way
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: because I started making the way I think better. I
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: understand exactly what you said, those of you who don't
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: have it right now, because I ain't always had it,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: but I changed the way I thought in order to
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: get it. I don't look at nothing and see it
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: and believe it ain't possible. It's no way seeing is believing.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: The problem is people see something and don't believe it
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: can happen for them. How you can't get a card
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: in two years, How you can't on a bigger house.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: And then you start justifying why you can't, Well, I
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: only make this this job I got. You ain't got
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: to stay there. That ain't the only job. What's stopping
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: you from getting aside hustle? What's stopping you from doing
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: something on the side to make more money? You just
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: you because you don't believe what you see. If I
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: see another man with him and I come to the
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: conclusion that I want it, I gets about the business
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: of making it happen, I'm gonna ask nobody for nothing.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: I start applying the principles of success to it. What
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: you see and believe you can achieve, period. Stop talking
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: yourself out of essence. That's all I got to have.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: God will see y'all the morrow. Y'all state blessed Steve
