- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a back down giving them like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the million bucks things and not good string to mother,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join me. You gotta use that turn you.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn, got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out. Then turn the water the water. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing now, I sure will a good
- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:08Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Man. If y'all only knew, I think I'll
- 2:16Speaker 1: tell it to you. This morning man started off real crazy.
- 2:21Speaker 1: But it's just those little mishaps where we as people
- 2:25Speaker 1: who are striving to be successful, that makes all the
- 2:29Speaker 1: difference in the world. When you have those little minor
- 2:32Speaker 1: things that come up, you can't let the minor things
- 2:35Speaker 1: stop you. You've got to keep pressing forward. Now. Could
- 2:40Speaker 1: I have played the role of where is my car?
- 2:43Speaker 1: Where is my car? Oh? Where is my car? Instead
- 2:47Speaker 1: of hustling and grab a cab? So what am I?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Am I above a cab ride? Now? Or do I
- 2:55Speaker 1: have to look at the bigger picture and say, okay,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I could act like a little spoiled brat some type
- 3:00Speaker 1: of star and go I don't ride in cabs, or
- 3:03Speaker 1: where's my car? And then go to blaming people for
- 3:05Speaker 1: not having a car, or do I make the adjustments
- 3:08Speaker 1: because ain't like I ain't been in a cab before,
- 3:09Speaker 1: now slow down. Ain't like I ain't never been in
- 3:12Speaker 1: a in a beat up car before? Slow down. Ain't
- 3:15Speaker 1: ever like I ain't never had a cab and roll
- 3:18Speaker 1: the bus before? Slow down. Ain't like I ain't never
- 3:21Speaker 1: been homeless before, and ain't have nowhere to go? Slow down.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So in those moments right there, always remember where you
- 3:29Speaker 1: come from, but even more importantly, always remember where you're
- 3:33Speaker 1: trying to go, because it's important for me that I
- 3:37Speaker 1: get here as many mornings as I possibly can. It's
- 3:40Speaker 1: important because that's the goal. And so many people allowed
- 3:44Speaker 1: a minor things to stop them on their road to success.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And I'm giving you this example today not to say hey,
- 3:51Speaker 1: look at me, but to say to you, hey, listening
- 3:53Speaker 1: to me. They are going to be a lot of
- 3:55Speaker 1: things that's gonna happen along your way to being successful.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And if you allow the small things to stop you,
- 4:00Speaker 1: there's no way you'll make it. You've got to always
- 4:03Speaker 1: press forward and stop looking at the situation for what
- 4:05Speaker 1: it is and look, sometimes you have to take your
- 4:08Speaker 1: offer right now and put your eye into future. You know,
- 4:11Speaker 1: God has blessed me in so many ways. I mean,
- 4:13Speaker 1: what can I say? You know, I ask God for
- 4:15Speaker 1: the syndicated show. He gives me a syndicated show. Now
- 4:18Speaker 1: I act like I don't want to come to it.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Hold on, man, slow down. Did not you ask for this?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Do I not realize that there are certain people, man,
- 4:26Speaker 1: who look forward to this message in the morning. I've
- 4:30Speaker 1: heard it from people. So from the hundreds that I've
- 4:34Speaker 1: heard it for, that could represent thousands for all I know.
- 4:38Speaker 1: So if I think somebody's counting on me, I got
- 4:41Speaker 1: to try to get there and give something. So today
- 4:43Speaker 1: I didn't have any time at all to think about
- 4:45Speaker 1: what I might say. I just walked right in and
- 4:47Speaker 1: the jingle was playing, and so I decided to just
- 4:50Speaker 1: tell you about my day and maybe you can relate
- 4:53Speaker 1: it to something you're going through alone the way, because
- 4:55Speaker 1: no matter who you are, you're going to have some
- 4:58Speaker 1: moments man, where things are going to happen. And like
- 5:01Speaker 1: I always tell my kids, and I just had this
- 5:03Speaker 1: conversation with my little girl. It ain't that things ain't
- 5:06Speaker 1: gonna happen. It's how you handle what happens that matters.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But it don't matter. It's how you handle what happens
- 5:14Speaker 1: that's the determining factor on where you get in life
- 5:17Speaker 1: and how soon you get there and how long you
- 5:19Speaker 1: stay there. That will always be a mishap, something that's
- 5:25Speaker 1: gonna throw you off. That will always be something man
- 5:29Speaker 1: that could deter you. That will be something somewhere, man
- 5:33Speaker 1: that will make you doubt it. Now that you know
- 5:35Speaker 1: that's gonna happen, then let's talk about how you handle
- 5:39Speaker 1: what happens, because it's going to happen. So now what
- 5:42Speaker 1: do you do as a person when these moments come
- 5:44Speaker 1: about in your life? How do you handle? Oh? Woe
- 5:48Speaker 1: is me? Oh? I guess it wasn't meant to be. Well,
- 5:52Speaker 1: if the Lord wanted me to have this, I'd have that.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Know how many deal how many times you hear people
- 5:57Speaker 1: say that? You know, man, it really irks man. Stop
- 6:01Speaker 1: using God as your excuse. God ain't no excuse. God
- 6:05Speaker 1: is a reason. He's a reason why the good happens.
- 6:11Speaker 1: He's a reason. He's not an excuse. God don't have
- 6:15Speaker 1: no excuses in none of his scriptures or writings, not
- 6:18Speaker 1: that I've he just don't make excuses. I would have
- 6:21Speaker 1: done this. But you know, there's a scripture that says
- 6:25Speaker 1: the poor will all shall always be amongst us. Why
- 6:29Speaker 1: that's got to be you. Yeah, he said the poor
- 6:31Speaker 1: will always be amongst us, because you know, everybody ain't
- 6:34Speaker 1: gonna follow the principles of success. But he also said
- 6:37Speaker 1: he came to give you life and give it to
- 6:39Speaker 1: you more abundantly. He said that too, But oh no,
- 6:42Speaker 1: you don't want to hear that because your life kind
- 6:44Speaker 1: of trip it out a little bit. So now what
- 6:46Speaker 1: you do with it? Now you twist it and you
- 6:49Speaker 1: go to that one little scripture that say well, the
- 6:52Speaker 1: poor shall always be amongst us. Well, that's put in
- 6:55Speaker 1: there because that's a that's a suggesting case. See that's aggesting. Hey,
- 7:00Speaker 1: y'all don't want to follow the scriptures. That's just in
- 7:03Speaker 1: case you don't understand that faith without works is dead.
- 7:07Speaker 1: That's just in case you have not because you ask not.
- 7:11Speaker 1: It's just in case you don't believe and shall not doubt.
- 7:14Speaker 1: He got all that in there. But in case you
- 7:16Speaker 1: don't want to do that, there is a scripture that
- 7:19Speaker 1: tells you who don't happen if you don't do it,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and here it is the poor shall always be a monster.
- 7:25Speaker 1: But then you get that when they say, well, that's
- 7:27Speaker 1: I guess that's the Lord's will, Lord's will, really, really,
- 7:31Speaker 1: really really that's amazing. I just don't believe that about him.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I don't believe that God created your life to be
- 7:40Speaker 1: a life of misery. I think that we make decisions
- 7:44Speaker 1: along the way that cause us to have lives of misery.
- 7:48Speaker 1: But I really really just don't believe that God created
- 7:52Speaker 1: you for that. I've heard Nelson Mandela speak, and you
- 7:58Speaker 1: know you gotta go. While all those years in prison, man,
- 8:03Speaker 1: what was it about. When you hear him speak, you
- 8:06Speaker 1: understand what it was about. He said he always knew
- 8:09Speaker 1: he would be free one day. Now, what he said
- 8:13Speaker 1: he never knew was he said he never knew that
- 8:16Speaker 1: he would be the president of that country. Oh my goodness,
- 8:21Speaker 1: what a long way around. But he could have sat
- 8:25Speaker 1: there and got involved in prison activities that wasn't up
- 8:29Speaker 1: to pawing things like that. And they said whenever young
- 8:33Speaker 1: inmates used to come in. He was telling the story
- 8:35Speaker 1: one time of how young inmates used to come into
- 8:37Speaker 1: the prison. They all sit around and talk to him
- 8:39Speaker 1: about what they were doing and how many kids they
- 8:42Speaker 1: had in their lives, and it helped them keep track
- 8:44Speaker 1: of the outside a little bit, and it kept a
- 8:47Speaker 1: sense of time for them and reminded them in to
- 8:50Speaker 1: talk about what they left behind, and it kept them
- 8:52Speaker 1: going because something was great on the other side. Had
- 8:57Speaker 1: he allowed that to stop him, that he allowed the imprisonment,
- 9:01Speaker 1: which is a pretty major deal. Oh, by the way,
- 9:04Speaker 1: then guess what he would have never been? To Nelson
- 9:06Speaker 1: Mandela that we know to day, a martyr, a leader,
- 9:10Speaker 1: a great force. People want to go around him. Even
- 9:13Speaker 1: people that imprisoned him could not understand his staunch strength,
- 9:18Speaker 1: his faith, his unwavering commitment. They couldn't understand it. So
- 9:23Speaker 1: things are going to happen in your life, but it's
- 9:25Speaker 1: how you handle what happens doesn't matter. So keep pushing, y'all.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Don't let the little things get in the way, okay,
- 9:30Speaker 1: And if you just sometimes you just don't know. I
- 9:33Speaker 1: got in the cab thinking I wasn't gonna make it,
- 9:35Speaker 1: but at least let's go see, let's try. I made it. Now,
- 9:38Speaker 1: guess what that gives me another piece of information that
- 9:42Speaker 1: I have, and all I had to see it again
- 9:44Speaker 1: to date. Guess what I said today. Man, Sometimes when
- 9:48Speaker 1: it looked like you ain't gonna make it, just go
- 9:49Speaker 1: ahead on anywhere. Now. I could still be back there
- 9:52Speaker 1: at the hotel time I wear my car, but I
- 9:54Speaker 1: got up in here made it. So Now what y'all
- 9:56Speaker 1: gonna do with it? Let's go. You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, we are here. The Steve Harvey Morning
- 10:05Speaker 1: Show is alive with us all honor and glory to
- 10:11Speaker 1: our heavenly Father. Whatever you call it, that's fine with me.
- 10:15Speaker 1: But I'm sure glad he woke us up with this morning,
- 10:17Speaker 1: So glad to be here. Cannot wait to start entertaining y'all,
- 10:23Speaker 1: uplifting y'all, enlightening y'all, and informing y'all. I haven't ain't
- 10:29Speaker 1: much on the information part. Now that the election is over,
- 10:32Speaker 1: I decided to get back to total honor, apologetic ignorance,
- 10:39Speaker 1: and I got some people in here to know how
- 10:41Speaker 1: to get that done. I will point them out to
- 10:43Speaker 1: you as we go along. But first of all, the
- 10:46Speaker 1: crux of the Morning Show, the valuable women ladies and gentlemen.

- 11:16Speaker 1: Thank you all for coming. No halt, they said after
- 11:24Speaker 1: the happy hour, didn't nobody find Sherley got Shirley Junior.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It says something calling Shirley. I was glad to be
- 11:35Speaker 1: a part of y'all happy hour. It was funn Thank
- 11:40Speaker 1: you for coming to Scott. Appreciate you did calling. Appreciate that.
- 11:46Speaker 1: J Anthony Brown, Congratulations on your happy hour, ladies. Wish
- 11:51Speaker 1: I could have been there. He wasn't. Then No one
- 11:53Speaker 1: told me, No one said nothing. No one told you, no, No,
- 11:57Speaker 1: no one told him because he wasn't here to work. Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 1: it wasn't. That's that's my dude right there. I'm sorry,
- 12:04Speaker 1: j Well, I hear his ass. Ladies and gentleman, I mean,
- 12:10Speaker 1: stop of the morning. It's Friday, baby, Let's get it.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Listen this weekend. It's for lovers. It's it's that time
- 12:21Speaker 1: and and it's cold as I don't know what, so
- 12:24Speaker 1: it's great snuggling for lovers. This is it. It is. Yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 1: it's freezing over the country. Yeah. Can I say something? Yes,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and just say this to those you are going to
- 12:38Speaker 1: get let down, not you blew your lips about on
- 12:46Speaker 1: this show. It's gonna be some people that's gonna be
- 12:50Speaker 1: let completely down. Jake, if you're making phone calls on
- 12:56Speaker 1: on Sunday, stop it. You're late night. Yeah, the answer
- 13:06Speaker 1: the question is thirty eight to forty degrees. I'll give ye. Well,
- 13:19Speaker 1: good morning, everybody off having Valentine's Day weekend. Yeah, Shelly,
- 13:28Speaker 1: let's just let's let's try to CLO when we come back.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Let's go. We will, We definitely will coming up with
- 13:35Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour. We'll do just that.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Steve asked the CLO right after this. You're listening to show. Well, guys,
- 13:45Speaker 1: it is Valentine's Day weekend. It's time to help some
- 13:48Speaker 1: people with their love situations. Time for ask the CLO,
- 13:52Speaker 1: chief love officer in the building. And he's always ready, right, Steve,
- 13:56Speaker 1: always all right, This one is from Monroe and Tulsa, Tulsa, Monroe, says,
- 14:04Speaker 1: my old lady and I work together and we're both
- 14:06Speaker 1: delivery drivers with different schedules. I've been having sex with
- 14:10Speaker 1: our boss at work and she's gone psycho and wants
- 14:13Speaker 1: me to herself. She started treating my wife badly and
- 14:17Speaker 1: talking to her crazy. So wife is always upset when
- 14:20Speaker 1: she gets home. I hate to see my wife angry,
- 14:23Speaker 1: So I need to end this affair. I've tried, but
- 14:27Speaker 1: boss lady is crazy. How can I dump her and
- 14:30Speaker 1: keep my job without my wife finding out? Right going on?
- 14:38Speaker 1: Right here? If I were you, the only way you
- 14:47Speaker 1: might could get out of this clean is to facing accident.
- 14:54Speaker 1: What did it get out of work? Yeah, workman's comp
- 14:59Speaker 1: or something. That's all you could do. Man's and quick work.
- 15:04Speaker 1: That's all you got, Pardner. You you can't tell your boss.
- 15:08Speaker 1: She got a lot of ways to make your life miserable.
- 15:12Speaker 1: You can't tell your wife man telephone pole, telephone pole.
- 15:22Speaker 1: It's his fault. Yeah, Oh he thought it was a
- 15:26Speaker 1: good idea. Oh it sounded great. It's her fault too,
- 15:32Speaker 1: that's the boss. She shouldn't be sleeping, well, yes, she
- 15:34Speaker 1: shouldn't he knew she didn't write a letter to boss. Yeah.
- 15:40Speaker 1: N see she got she got control of this situation.
- 15:47Speaker 1: And so if he do something sideways to her. She
- 15:51Speaker 1: holds some strings. Man. Yeah, she should get them. Yeah,
- 15:55Speaker 1: she could get fired. She should get fired too. That happens,
- 16:00Speaker 1: all right. Moving on, Clara and New Hampshire says, my
- 16:03Speaker 1: husband of twenty four years is divorcing me because he
- 16:06Speaker 1: found the woman he wants to spend the rest of
- 16:08Speaker 1: his life with. I wasn't surprised, since we've been like
- 16:10Speaker 1: roommates instead of lovers for the past ten years. After
- 16:13Speaker 1: he served me with papers, he said he's not moving
- 16:16Speaker 1: out and we can keep our current living arrangement and
- 16:19Speaker 1: split the bills. I told him, heck no, his new
- 16:22Speaker 1: woman isn't welcome here. How can I get this fool
- 16:25Speaker 1: to move out? Well, there's a scripture saying something similar
- 16:34Speaker 1: to this. It is better to live on the corner
- 16:38Speaker 1: of the roof of a house than inside with the
- 16:41Speaker 1: crawls of woman. So become crawlsome and he'll want to
- 16:47Speaker 1: be up on that rooftop. Now he ain't up there,
- 16:51Speaker 1: which can't. You gain't gonna handle company in here? Oh no, oh,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you can have all the company you want upon that rooftop,
- 17:00Speaker 1: but you're not bringing no company in here, and ain't
- 17:02Speaker 1: no woman wanting to come in there under them circumstances.
- 17:06Speaker 1: So I mean, how do you get him to move?
- 17:10Speaker 1: You can act unruly even though you all have been
- 17:12Speaker 1: roommates for ten years. You're not surprised, you know. But
- 17:17Speaker 1: if he wants to move, if he wants to have
- 17:20Speaker 1: his life to where he has to move with that,
- 17:22Speaker 1: we're gonna stay here and split the bills. No, no,
- 17:24Speaker 1: we're not so stupid, No we're not. He has someone else,
- 17:31Speaker 1: so but now you know, and if that come up
- 17:34Speaker 1: on social media and all of that, then he gonna
- 17:37Speaker 1: have to pay you. There you go the cost to
- 17:41Speaker 1: get out. Yeah, ain't no free house. I'm talking about
- 17:45Speaker 1: what you know. I'm talking about, Jay, There's never a
- 17:49Speaker 1: free house in the court. Will make sure that it's
- 17:51Speaker 1: not free. You go there thinking you're not gonna pay,
- 17:55Speaker 1: but you're gonna pay. You will end up paying. Don't
- 18:00Speaker 1: go in there with it. I got this attitude. Don't
- 18:03Speaker 1: have to go to school, Jay, piece of Kate. Don't
- 18:10Speaker 1: think like that. In the bag in the bay. All right,
- 18:19Speaker 1: here we go Justine is an online listener. Justine says,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I'm a thirty seven year old female owner of a pole,
- 18:26Speaker 1: dazzing and yoga studio. I also host parties from time
- 18:30Speaker 1: to time, and last weekend I did a private class
- 18:32Speaker 1: for an engaged couple. I didn't know the woman at all,
- 18:35Speaker 1: but her fiance's name is Todd. Todd has also been
- 18:38Speaker 1: dating my cousin for almost three years. I know of him,
- 18:42Speaker 1: but we've never met. My cousin relocated to Philly a
- 18:45Speaker 1: year ago for her job, and I thought she and
- 18:47Speaker 1: Todd were fine. I told him that he looks familiar,
- 18:50Speaker 1: but that's it. Should I tell my cousin about Todd
- 18:53Speaker 1: Todd or not? I think me personally, you should stay
- 18:57Speaker 1: out of it. That's me personal. Now let me ask
- 19:01Speaker 1: Shirley what would you do? She well, there you go.
- 19:06Speaker 1: She would tell it, call him, tell him, tell it,
- 19:11Speaker 1: that's it, two down, that's out? Uh dog, what I
- 19:14Speaker 1: don't know what his name is? You're asking trouble partner.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Todd name is Todd Todd. All women will tell it,
- 19:21Speaker 1: and all men would say leaving alone and ain't your bills?
- 19:24Speaker 1: In this situation, I think she should tell she lived
- 19:27Speaker 1: in Philly, she had to go there. She thinks she
- 19:29Speaker 1: and Todd are fine and Todd is seeing someone out
- 19:33Speaker 1: tell him so she can get on with her life.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Her cousin, Wow, yeah, all right, better man, you had
- 19:42Speaker 1: a question in the minute we have left. You have
- 19:44Speaker 1: a question. Yeah, it's a Valentine question. A serious player
- 19:51Speaker 1: gets busted with all his Valentine's gifts on the back seat.
- 19:57Speaker 1: He's delivered some, but he's been busted all his gifts
- 20:01Speaker 1: on the back seat. How does he explain this? Steve
- 20:04Speaker 1: telling him you was taking them down to a shelter
- 20:06Speaker 1: to make sure others had happy Valentine's Love it here, Harvey,
- 20:12Speaker 1: I don't think I've had all these gifts from people,
- 20:15Speaker 1: random people down the women's bad at shelter, and I
- 20:18Speaker 1: wanted them to have a happy Valentine's Day to make
- 20:22Speaker 1: it sound like real straight face the straight face straight
- 20:25Speaker 1: face and stay with Steve Harvey than Clo. But yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 1: I mean it was good. Yeah. If you bust me
- 20:33Speaker 1: with them prizes, I I gotta tell you something. You
- 20:37Speaker 1: didn't even hesitate. He went straight off. Touff Man. All right,
- 20:43Speaker 1: thank you, Clo, thank you so much. Coming up next,
- 20:46Speaker 1: it is a nephew would run that prank back right
- 20:48Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 20:53Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Miss Hannah standing by
- 20:55Speaker 1: with our national news. President Biden purchases two hundred million,
- 20:59Speaker 1: two hundred million additional vaccine doses. The impeach managers, Yes,
- 21:04Speaker 1: come on show, the impeachment managers rest their case. And
- 21:09Speaker 1: in entertainment news, Gorilla group, Gorilla glue girl. Uh, well,
- 21:14Speaker 1: it's all come to an end. We'll tell you what happened,
- 21:16Speaker 1: and we'll tell you some news about Kevin Hart as well.
- 21:19Speaker 1: We'll talk about all of these stories at the top

- 31:53Speaker 1: counts a ten count indictment, including grand larceny, identity theft,
- 31:57Speaker 1: and more. Sire started working for Kevin back in twenty fifteen,
- 32:01Speaker 1: and he kept Kevin's credit card numbers with the outstanding
- 32:05Speaker 1: understanding that he would only make authorized purchases. Sire will

- 33:35Speaker 1: wrapped up their case against Donald Trump yesterday, using text
- 33:38Speaker 1: and Facebook posts and videos to show that the Capitol
- 33:41Speaker 1: Hill riot was encouraged by the ex president. In fact,
- 33:44Speaker 1: Congresswoman Diane to jest says Trump's culpability is as plain
- 33:47Speaker 1: as a nose on your face. Their own statements before, during,
- 33:51Speaker 1: and after the attack made clear the attack was done
- 33:55Speaker 1: for Donald Trump, at his instructions and to fulfill his wishes,
- 34:00Speaker 1: and to jet play the video clip of the mob
- 34:02Speaker 1: to further prove her point. Get that he said, we
- 34:13Speaker 1: were invited by the President of the United States. Anyway,
- 34:16Speaker 1: Trump's lawyers are get to present their case now, they say,
- 34:19Speaker 1: though they only need one day to present evidence exonerating
- 34:22Speaker 1: the former commander in chief. The British medical journal Lancet
- 34:26Speaker 1: get This says that nearly half of all the COVID
- 34:29Speaker 1: deaths in the United States were avoidable, and they put
- 34:32Speaker 1: the blame squarely on the Trump administration. In the medical journal,
- 34:36Speaker 1: thirty three scientists on both sides of the Atlantic accused
- 34:40Speaker 1: the Trump White House of quote deliberately harnessing racism and
- 34:45Speaker 1: class animosity to push policies that they say cause hundreds
- 34:49Speaker 1: of thousands of American lives, and how they do it
- 34:51Speaker 1: through environmental and workplace policies and through their overall mishandling
- 34:56Speaker 1: of the COVID crisis. That's right, the Lancet thirty three
- 34:59Speaker 1: scientists side the Atlantic blame it on the Trump administration.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Our prayers, folks, going out this morning to one of
- 35:05Speaker 1: the first televangelists, the Reverend Frederick Casey Price, who's been
- 35:08Speaker 1: stricken with COVID nineteen. According to his son, the eighty
- 35:11Speaker 1: nine year old founder of the twenty eight thousand member
- 35:13Speaker 1: Crenshaw Christian Center fighting for his life today as the
- 35:16Speaker 1: virus ravages his heart, lungs, and kidneys. The Crenshaw Christian
- 35:19Speaker 1: Center is also known as the Faith Dome. It was
- 35:22Speaker 1: founded in nineteen seventy three. Reverend Price's TV broadcast began
- 35:26Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy eight, that long ago. Once more, our
- 35:29Speaker 1: prayers go out this morning for the history making televangelist

- 35:37Speaker 1: the sad news keeps coming. Legendary keyboardists and composer Chicaria
- 35:41Speaker 1: has died of cancer at age seventy nine. Chickaria was
- 35:45Speaker 1: a twenty three time Grammy winner composer, really an innovator,
- 35:49Speaker 1: but on the much much lighter side of recent poll
- 35:51Speaker 1: shows most of men and women would rather spend Valentine's
- 35:54Speaker 1: Day with the dogs and I'm playing him because I

- 42:52Speaker 1: You won't take the vaccine, but you'll sit down and
- 42:57Speaker 1: try to take that corn off your toe with a
- 42:59Speaker 1: butter knife. You you won't take the vaccine, but you'll
- 43:10Speaker 1: mind being a witness in a homicide. You won't take

- 52:36Speaker 1: Dom drip me trucks all day. Man, an't got time.
- 52:42Speaker 1: You know what, though, I think for truck drivers, they
- 52:45Speaker 1: should have been fascinated first as well, because, yeah, that's
- 52:50Speaker 1: true many because that's front line. That's front line, because
- 52:55Speaker 1: they got to get the stuff to the grocery stores
- 52:57Speaker 1: to the hospital. Yeah, you're right. They driving the vaccine. Yes,
- 53:01Speaker 1: you're that's right, and they do. You're right, and they
- 53:04Speaker 1: drive the vaccine. I'm gonna get one after truck driving.
- 53:08Speaker 1: One of them is gonna be listening vile. You had
- 53:11Speaker 1: to get a back seat that's back of the truck.
- 53:14Speaker 1: You're gonna be missing a box. That's I'm trying to know.
- 53:19Speaker 1: I love our truck drivers. They show listen to us
- 53:21Speaker 1: and they loyal listeners. Yeah, they made him mad, though
- 53:28Speaker 1: you made him mad. Then truck rather than if you're driving,
- 53:31Speaker 1: hit it run. Time for pulling one, all right, Thank you, nephew.

- 54:04Speaker 1: we're going to read this one right here, right now.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Bugle lupin, hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 54:11Speaker 1: It is a Strawberry letter. Thank you, nephew, Subject my
- 54:15Speaker 1: ungrateful young employee. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a relatively successful
- 54:19Speaker 1: entrepreneur and I have had a lot of help along
- 54:22Speaker 1: the way. I believe in returning the favor and helping
- 54:25Speaker 1: other minorities advance anyway I can to that end. About
- 54:29Speaker 1: a year ago, I hired a twenty six year old
- 54:32Speaker 1: black female that graduated at the top of her class.
- 54:35Speaker 1: I set her up with an excellent starting salary and
- 54:38Speaker 1: her own office. I noticed she was not much of
- 54:41Speaker 1: a team player and worked better alone, and that was
- 54:43Speaker 1: fine with me because she was very smart and didn't
- 54:46Speaker 1: need a lot of directions at times. I noticed that
- 54:52Speaker 1: she lacks the emotional and intelligence that is required in business,
- 54:56Speaker 1: and it was hard for her to keep her game
- 54:58Speaker 1: face on when she got fu stirred. Despite that, she's
- 55:01Speaker 1: one of my best employees, so I added her to
- 55:04Speaker 1: a global teams meeting that we have weekly. I'm impressed
- 55:09Speaker 1: with how much she's advanced in one year, and so
- 55:12Speaker 1: is the team. On the video call, one of our
- 55:15Speaker 1: biggest investors acknowledged her as the newest member and congratulated
- 55:19Speaker 1: her for being the youngest person to ever join the team. Surprisingly,
- 55:24Speaker 1: she replied, I appreciate that, but I've been doing way
- 55:28Speaker 1: more than I was hired to do, and I'd like
- 55:30Speaker 1: to discuss an increase in salary and a promotion. The
- 55:33Speaker 1: call got quiet and everyone looked uneasy. She's been with
- 55:38Speaker 1: me for one year, and she was awarded the highest
- 55:41Speaker 1: entry level salary of anyone. I broke the silence by
- 55:44Speaker 1: telling her that we'd have to discuss that later. I
- 55:47Speaker 1: was appalled at her attitude, and I would love to
- 55:49Speaker 1: get her viewpoints on this. Do I allow view points
- 55:53Speaker 1: I would love to get I'm sorry, I would love
- 55:55Speaker 1: to get your viewpoints on this. Do I allow her
- 55:57Speaker 1: to grow with my company? Or turn my focus to
- 56:00Speaker 1: one of my mail interns that always has a great
- 56:03Speaker 1: attitude and is willing to learn. Please advise, this is
- 56:10Speaker 1: not personal, right, this is business. You said yourself. She's smart,
- 56:14Speaker 1: she graduated at the top of her class. She's one
- 56:16Speaker 1: of your best people at the job. How is she ungrateful?
- 56:21Speaker 1: Can you not afford to give her a raise? I
- 56:24Speaker 1: know you said you were relatively successful. I mean, but
- 56:27Speaker 1: can you not afford to give her one? If she's
- 56:29Speaker 1: deserving and a promotion that she asked for? Is that it?
- 56:33Speaker 1: If it is? I think you should say that because
- 56:36Speaker 1: I say, let her be great and don't get mad
- 56:40Speaker 1: because she believes she deserves a raise. I mean, she
- 56:43Speaker 1: is who she is. Her timing might be a bit
- 56:45Speaker 1: off because you're judging how long she's been at the company,
- 56:48Speaker 1: and what you've done for her already, meaning you gave her,
- 56:52Speaker 1: you know, a big entry level starting salary. But it
- 56:56Speaker 1: sounds to me like she understands her value and her
- 57:00Speaker 1: to this company and she wants to be compensated for it.
- 57:03Speaker 1: I'm not sure while you're so upset that she wants
- 57:06Speaker 1: a raise. I think you said she's a valuable employee.
- 57:11Speaker 1: You said that throughout the letter. She's young and hungry,
- 57:13Speaker 1: she wants to get paid. You can talk to her
- 57:16Speaker 1: and tell her this shouldn't have been discussed at that
- 57:19Speaker 1: time if you like. But I like her confidence, I
- 57:22Speaker 1: like her boldness, I like her fearlessness. Every company I
- 57:25Speaker 1: think needs people like this. I think you should celebrate her,
- 57:29Speaker 1: like you said, get her viewpoint, get well, you said,
- 57:31Speaker 1: get our viewpoints on this. But see where her head
- 57:34Speaker 1: is too on this situation. Why is she picked that
- 57:37Speaker 1: moment to say it? You know, but I don't think
- 57:42Speaker 1: there's a law against asking for a raise. And the
- 57:45Speaker 1: alarming thing in the letters that you said, should you
- 57:48Speaker 1: turn your focus on your mail interns that always have
- 57:51Speaker 1: a great attitude and are willing to learn. What does
- 57:54Speaker 1: that have to do with anything. Are you upset that
- 57:57Speaker 1: she's a female and she asked for a raise? I mean, really,
- 58:00Speaker 1: what are you really saying here, Steve? I think she
- 58:03Speaker 1: deserves everything she should get. Steve, My question is simple,
- 58:09Speaker 1: my ungrateful young employee. Is this a woman writing the
- 58:12Speaker 1: letter or a man? I assumed it was a man,
- 58:15Speaker 1: but it might be a woman, and I thought it
- 58:18Speaker 1: was a man too. So now let me give you
- 58:22Speaker 1: a peek inside the mind of a man, because if
- 58:26Speaker 1: this is a man, which I thought it was too,
- 58:29Speaker 1: something else is going on here. See I read between
- 58:34Speaker 1: the lines. Your successful entrepreneur had a lot of help
- 58:38Speaker 1: long the way you returned to favor and all this
- 58:41Speaker 1: helping minorities anyway you can by a year ago, you
- 58:46Speaker 1: hired a twenty six year old black female that graduated
- 58:50Speaker 1: at the top of class. You set her up with
- 58:52Speaker 1: an excellent starting salary her own office. I noticed she
- 58:58Speaker 1: was not much of a team player. Okay, that's usually
- 59:03Speaker 1: not good, and she worked better alone. And that was
- 59:06Speaker 1: fine with me because she's very smart and didn't need
- 59:09Speaker 1: a lot of direction. Okay, so you let that go
- 59:13Speaker 1: at times. And here's the key to this whole letter.
- 59:16Speaker 1: I noticed that she i noticed that she lacks the
- 59:21Speaker 1: emotional intelligence that is required in business, and it's hard
- 59:26Speaker 1: for her to keep her game face on when she's flustered. Okay,
- 59:30Speaker 1: she's young, but you gave her her own office, you
- 59:34Speaker 1: gave her this great salary. She twenty six, so what
- 59:40Speaker 1: was it? Dog? So now you know, I'm just watching
- 59:44Speaker 1: you now. Despite all of that, she's one of the
- 59:46Speaker 1: best employees. So you added to her to a global
- 59:49Speaker 1: team meeting we had weekly. She's advanced. You impressed by
- 59:53Speaker 1: the advance. On one video call, one of our biggest
- 59:56Speaker 1: investors acknowledged her newest member, congratulate and her for being
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: the youngest person ever joined the team. And then she replied,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I appreciate that, but I've been doing way more than
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: I was hired to do it. I'd like to discuss
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: an increase in salary and promotion and on the global
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: team meeting. Yeah, your biggest investor. And that's what she says, Houston,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: we have a problem. I'll tell it to you when
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: we come back. All right, Steven, hang on part two
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: of your responses coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: the hour. Today's subject, my ungrateful young employee will get
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening String show.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Subject my ungrateful young employee. So now, as a woman
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: that wrote the letter, we just learned this on a
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: commercial break from people who pulled the Strawberry letter. So
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: it's a woman, which don't change much. Oh yeah, this
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: black female, you've been a successful anthanion. You try to
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: give her back to minority to help her move along.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Your hired as sister, twenty six year old black female graduate,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: top of her class. You set up with an excellent
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: starting salary in her own office. Note that she wasn't
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: much of a team player. She worked better alone and
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: was fine because she's very smart and don't need a
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: lot of direction. That's what you said. But to me,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: here is again the whole meat behind this letter. At
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: times I noticed that she lacks the emotional intelligence that
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: is required in business, and it's hard for her to
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: keep her game face on when she gets flustered, atypical
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: sign of a young person. She's just young. She young,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: she don't know the game face. She lacks the emotional
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: business intelligence. Okay, I got it now. Despite that she's
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: one of your best employees. Okay, so obviously you need
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: some more employees. So I added her to a global
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: team meeting that we had weekly. You're just impressed with
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: how much she's advanced in one year, and so is
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: the team. Everybody's impressed with her. But on the video call,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: one of your biggest investors acknowledged her as the newest
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: member and congratulated her for being the youngest person ever
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: joined the team. And this was her response. You say, surprisingly,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I appreciate that, but I've been doing way more than
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I was hired to do, and I like to discuss
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: an increase in salary and a promotion. The call got quiet.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Everybody looked uneasy. You know why because this person that
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: lacks the emotional intelligence that is required in business, and
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: it's hard for her to keep a game face on.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: When she flusted. She flusted and frustrated after year working,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: and now she let it blurt out on the global
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: team call. That's how you thought it was the best
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: way to get a raise. Are you kidding me? You
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: put everybody on the phone call uneasy. She has been
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: with me for one year and she was awarded the
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: highest entry level salary of anyone. And then you broke
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: the silence by telling her that we'd have to discuss
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: that later. And you know why you had to tell
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: her because then you said I was appalled at her attitude.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Well why are you surprised? You said that she lacks
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: the emotional intelligence that is required in business, and it's
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: hard for her to keep a game face on when
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: she gets flustered. She got flustered, she cracked. She figured,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: now I'm asked for a raise what I did right
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: after these compliments on a global team, Ain't that's stupid?
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: See this lack of emotional intelligence and business is how
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: you make business, Because what I've learned in business, it's
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: not always the smartest people. It's the best people to
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: work with. She don't work well with others. She works
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: best by herself. You know, I can't have this crazy
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: ass person talking in big ass meetings for me because
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: they don't work well with others. And then she blew it.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Now she says, I would love to get your viewpoint
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: on this. Do I allow her to grow with my
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: company or turn my focus to one of my male
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: interns that always has a great attitude and willing to learn.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: I don't think it's a matter of turning your attention
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: to anybody. I think your determination has to be is
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: this person worth continuing on with? First of all, I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: would point out to her the absurdness and the ridiculousness
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: of you popping off at a damn global meeting asking
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: for a raise, your selfish ass. Hey, Steve, I want
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: to ask you a question, when is a good time
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: to ask for a race when you're not on the
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: global team car? It doesn't seem like there's ever a
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: good time. That's my point. It's any time it's a
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: good time to ask for a raise. If you ask
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: for an appointment to see your boss, you have every
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: right to go and ask for a raise. I ain't
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: knocking it. I ain't knocking her wanting to raise. I'm
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: knocking the way she went about doing it. You do
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: that in corporate America, shut a meeting for your selfish asks.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Are you stupid? But now wait a minute, are you stupid?
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: And now you then threw out this here in front
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: of everybody else, like ain't nobody else had the company
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: working hard? So now you got people looking at you sideways,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: which she don't care because she don't work well with others.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Look pull her to the side and say listen, now,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I'll know Raises. At this point you were giving the
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: highest century levels and you've only been here for a year.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: This is where the company is right now. And I
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: understand something now, you have to you have to put
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: your time in. Sometimes young people want it all right
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: now a lot of time. Now, this woman then built
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: this company. She ain't got no idea, I no idea
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: how long it took to build. And I'm gonna tell
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: you from firsthand experience what I can't stay doing. And
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I've been working in building my company. And you come
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: in because you see me making this, you want this too.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: That ain't how to work. Homiets paid what they're working. No,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I don't think that. And do you chastizard, do you
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: say if you say it again that you've bind or
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: something like that. Do you lay that down a do
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: this again in the global meeting? There's consequences to come
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: up here to her. Yeah, you talk to her all right?
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: With you? Post your comments on today Strubberry Letter Steve
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Urbye FM on Instagram and Facebook. Check out the Strubbery
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Letter podcast under Man coming up Junior Sports Talk at
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: forty six after right after this, you're listening show time
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: now for sports talk with Junior. What you got for
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: its Junior? Okay, surely sports talks you want anybody know that?
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: And for a few tickets left, just get these. I
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: got a seven thirty show and a ten o'clock show,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: a comedy show. Yeah don't. I'm going back out, man,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I can't. I can't take two years out now January eighteen,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: twenty twenty. But we're going to Eddi's place now. The
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: problem I don't know editing. I don't know, but Eddie
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: paying me do this damn show all I know. I
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: don't even know edit. But it ain't spelled edit like
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: eed d I E. No, it's just eed d E
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: E posphs Eddie get edies, Yeah don't. We ain't got
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: push tickets left now. I about ten tickets left for
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: both you. So it's eddy place. Go to E D
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: E possible possibly, but E D E E s BBQ
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: dot com to get the get dog. I didn't even
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: know dog. I'm just taking the gig because I did
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: get back out. I can't take two years off now.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: If you're coughing here, I leave. I swear to guard.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: But other than that, here we go sports talk. It
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: is um. Did anybody see Tom Brady tossed the Super
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Bowl trophy from his boat back to his teammates boat?
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Did did you see that car? Dog? Tom Brady is
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: so lit? He drunk. He was drunk. He took the
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Super Bowl trophy and tossed it from his boat back
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: to the teammates boat. Not this water in between. Let
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: somebody not catch it, right if five hundred players on
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: the back boat, but Tom Brady owning his own boat.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: But they did catch it. Now now in Houston, Texas,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: from now now, I know for show Timmy and call
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you all right now, I know for
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: show for a fact, Deshaun Watson leaving. I've confirmed that
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: you talked to him. Did you hear that? Steve how you?
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: I don't know how he just now confirmed it confirmed.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: It's done. Deal, Timmy, the president of the Houston Texans
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: didn't step down. He's been at twenty years. Where's DeShawn going? Though?
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: It could be a multiple to the teams. He could
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: go to Miami. He can go, he can go you now,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: you just multiple. It could be Browns, It could be
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: he just leaving that when the president of football he leave,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Deshan gone, everybody leaving. It's open. We don't all right, Junior,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: sorry about that, don't be sorry. Just going to Nick City.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: I'm tired. We'll have more of the stems. We'll catch
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: you at eating. You're listening to the Steven Show, all right.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Earlier Junior was telling us that he's got to get
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: back on the road. As a comedian. You miss that,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: and as an audience, I have to say, we miss
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: it as well. We miss going to live shows, live
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: comic comedy shows and concerts and everything. So do you,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: guys as comedians, miss us the audience as much as
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: we miss you guys? See, Yes, where are you gonna be? Junior.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Eddie's place is e ed e s. I don't know
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: why it's spelled like that, but Edie plays Barbecu to
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: see this? How eu? I am to give it up.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I'm doing a bar It's in the cooler Georgia. But
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: now I don't know where the headlet's that, but I'm going.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: He said it's about an hour outside of Atlanta, but
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: outside left, but I'm going. I don't care, don't matter,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I just gotta got this house. Now social distance is
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: in place. But yes, I missed the audience, Shirley, I do.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: We missed this the intimacy between stage because you know,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: people been trying to tell jokes to video. You can't
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: tell jokes on land. It don't work the same way.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: It don't work the audience. What about you, Steve, You
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: just did NFL Honors and you were talking about how
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: it wasn't no damn audience. Yeah, I got twenty people
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: on the same thing. Yeah, you want, you want to.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: It's hard to do a monologue for national audience without
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: a national audience. Yeah, I'm sure we're at home cracking up,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: but you can't hear us. Oh no, man, I couldn't
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: hear nobody. I was laughing to myself. Man, that took
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: me back to telling jokes in the mirror. Yeah, okay,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: so that's kind of like a rehearsal. Yeah, you know,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: it's just But but it wasn't the same pressure that
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: I normally feel for NFL Honor because it's a special
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: pressure walking out in front of live people. It's a
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: pressure that the average person would never know. You have
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: to walk out there and be funny. So I didn't
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: have that pressure on me. What about h J. I
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: miss I miss being so nervous before a show. I
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: mean nervous. The nervous part is before the show, But
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: once I get on stage, it goes before before. It's
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: I can't. I don't know what happens to me. I
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: don't know where that comes from. But but let me
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: tell you somebody about you. You make everybody else nervous
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: because we feel when you on a show with Jake,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: it's a mess man, because he won't sit out. He
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: pacing back and forth. I don't know, man, Man, they
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: want me to out there and they want me. I'm
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: telling to tell you right now, man, I need you
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: to stand outside to day when I call your name time,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: bring your ass out here. I'm fifteen, I'm do fifteen.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I'm bringing right on up. Man. I'm not playing with
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: deep people. Man, I'm bringing you right on. You be
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: looking on the cream, he said, fifteen minutes. He didn't
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: fighted five minutes. Man on top. We did this show
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: in Philly, right, Oh yeah. I went down to Jay's room,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: man and Jawn, he like, what time you go up?
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Because I might not make it. He was packing his
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: back back up. He's seriouss like I don't even want
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: to do this. Why is so nervous? You've done it
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: for some I don't know. I don't know what The
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: one thing I always said, I don't know the need
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: rooms out there. I have no idea who there. They
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: may not lae figure joke that one the snap, right,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: I mean, it's the nervousness is the anticipation of having
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: to go out there to deliver in a in a
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: in a genre called comedy, and you do not know
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: how it's gonna go. Yeah, it can go terribly wrong,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: and there's a lot of anxiety with that. I hated
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: the first the two hours before the show. I hated
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: that whole two hours. Man, I do not miss that part.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: If I could go back without that part and losing
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: the rest of my career, I can walk out there
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: and you out there, buy yourself. This ain't basketball to somebody.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: You buy so the pressure but U yeah, and you're
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: having fun and it's like you it's you're rolling with it.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: You got it once you start all right, Well, thank
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: you for letting us go inside the mind of our
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: comedians of We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning

- 1:17:07Speaker 1: When the story about the gorilla Girl came up, the
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: first person gorilla glue girl, can't say girl, gorilla glue
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: girl talking about when he came up with the with
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: the gorilla glue, the first person I thought about was
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Jermaine Jackson. He has managed to live with it. I

- 1:20:27Speaker 1: on a Friday, I know. And love is in the air,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: yes it is. It's Valentine's weekend and everything, and Carl,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: you know, we gotta say thank you to everyone who
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: joined our happy hour, our live happy hour on Steve
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: Harvey FM Facebook yesterday. Thank you to Seagroom's escapes and
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: everyone who joined us. We had such a good time.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: You know, we haven't spent time together in a while
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: because of COVID and everything. But it was fun kicking
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: it with my girl, Yes and my partner and crime.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: We had a good time. And like you said, sure,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I just want to shout out to all of our
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: listeners and they asked about you guys. We got some
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: loyal listeners, Tommy, they love the prank call Steve, they
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: love everything about you, Jay, Junior, everybody. So it's just
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: so good. I enjoyed it. Yes, you were junior. Yeah,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: we appreciate that. Yeah, I had to see it actually
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: picking up women. Oh you were in there, Macin. Yeah,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: it was a lot of fun. We're gonna do another
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: one in April first, so we'll let you know in
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: plenty of time, of course. But it was a lot,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: a lot of fun and there were good huh yes, yes,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: how you show up on the zoom with a martini glass, Well,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: thank you, Seagrum's Escapes. That was the strawberry Dachary. I'll
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: have you know that I was sipping on yummy. Yeah,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: it was good fun. We had a good time from Gress.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, Thank you. Guys. Let's talking your mind,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: mister Harvey. I don't really you know, it's just been
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: a great day, you know, looking forward to a nice weekend.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: It's Valentine's Day. I think it's a good time for
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: everybody to kind of pick up the phone. Not in
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: terms of Valentine's but I think it's important to pick
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: up the phone and tell people that you haven't told
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: you love them in a while, to tell me love them.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Because the older we get, the more we realize. Man,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: it's a lot of people just leaving here. Man and
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: it's important to give people of roses while they can
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: still smell them. Just call them, you know, just a
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: relationship you've had. I had a partner of mine that
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: told me that, man, me and my mom ain't talked
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: in thirty years. I said, what what? Bro? Thirty years? Man? Yeah,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: I ain't talking to my mom. Man about we fell out?
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Man and I Jane tayd nothing to me. I ain't
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: saying nothing to her. I said, Bro, why don't you
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: pick up a phone and call your mama? I said,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: how she doing? I don't really know? I say, Bro,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: can I tell you something? If I were you, I
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: would pick up that phone and call my mother. I said,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: because I don't know what happened to y'all thirty years
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: into your relationship. Because this dude in his sixties, and
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: if he hadn't talked to his mama in thirty years,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: he was thirty some years old when he stopped talking
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: to him. I said, brother, you're going to get a
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: phone call one day, and on that other end, they're
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: gonna tell you that this person who gave you life
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: is gone. I got news for you. I don't care
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: who you are. You are going to hurt, brother, in
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: a way like you've never heard before. It is something
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: about that woman that gave you life when she leaves here.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: It's different, man, It's different from all of them, and
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: it's it's a heart wrenching moment. Man, I said, if
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I was you, man, I called and fixed that. Well.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: You know, I was letting all she you know, she
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: the once did something to me. I was gonna let her,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: I said, bro, Bro, I hold up, man, you're man.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: What's what you're talking about? You know? And it goes
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: back to something I said all along about just physical
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: relationships with a woman. What does it matter who's right
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: or wrong? When love is gone? I mean, man, if
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: she gone, what do it matter who was right or wrong?
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Do you know that will not play out at the funeral?
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: That will not play out in your mind, man, when
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: you bury her. Listen, let this weekend be a time
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: to put some stuff behind and set some ill will
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: towards one another to the side. You know, don't even
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: don't hold on to it, man. You know that's like
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: a cancer. Man. You know, that's what's really wrong with
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: a lot of people. They're harboring ill will towards somebody else.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: They got some thing with another person that they will
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: not let go of, and when the name comes up,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: when the subject comes up, they go into this negative spin.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: It's ugly, man, it's really really ugly guys. Let it go, man,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: let it go. It ain't worth it. It's like a cancer.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: It's eating away at you. Just call him up and
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: tell them, Hey, look, I know I ain't talked to
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: you the while, but I was thinking about you. I
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: just wanted to say I love you, man. I hope
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: you're doing well. You know I ain't looking for nothing
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: in return. I just wanted to say I love you
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: and I wish you well. Man. Peace, Yes, that's all
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: they need. You're not gonna believe how much better you feel.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: You're not gonna believe how much better they gonna feel.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: You're not gonna believe how much better it'll change the
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: both of you. But like I've always been taught, forgiven
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: the same for the other person. It's really for you.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: So give yourself the gift of love and forgiveness this weekend.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Pick up the phone and tell everybody you love that
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: you love them. And tell anybody that you got any
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: ill will or hard feelings towards It's over. I squash it.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Forgive me, man, for whatever role I played in it.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: If I hurt you, I wish I had nough. I
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: missed your friendship, I missed our time together, and man,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: if there's anything I can do to repair that, I
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: just want to say, forgive me, and man, let's just
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: squash this. Not many times I've apologized to people just
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: to make the situation right, and I wasn't even wrong.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: You'll have a great weekend. It'll do a lot for
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: you spirit. Y'all have a great holiday weekend. Okay? All right?
