- 0:01Speaker 1: We've got a lot to talk about today on the show,
- 0:03Speaker 1: including the Democrats used to love getting rid of waste,
- 0:07Speaker 1: fraud and abuse.
- 0:08Speaker 2: How do we know it?
- 0:09Speaker 1: I've got an amazing montage of Democrats saying it over
- 0:13Speaker 1: and over again.
- 0:14Speaker 2: So what's changed. We're going to dive into that.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Also, the FAA may get overhauled by the private sector.
- 0:20Speaker 1: This after another plane crashes a Delta flight in Canada,
- 0:25Speaker 1: and finally Germany raids the home of an individual over
- 0:31Speaker 1: a meme they didn't like that was put out on
- 0:34Speaker 1: the internet.
- 0:35Speaker 2: It's a lot to deal with.
- 0:36Speaker 1: So first, let's go back to why are Democrats fighting
- 0:39Speaker 1: doge and saving you money so much? It's because they're
- 0:42Speaker 1: losing their pork barrel projects and their corruption. With this
- 0:46Speaker 1: money that they can pay off their friends and indoctrinate
- 0:49Speaker 1: the youth in this country and control the media. That
- 0:52Speaker 1: has been very clear from what we've seen. But if
- 0:55Speaker 1: you go back in history, they've had no problem saying
- 0:59Speaker 1: that they are actually in favor of getting rid of waste,
- 1:02Speaker 1: fraud and abuse. It actually used to be a bipartisan issue.
- 1:07Speaker 2: How do we know it?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Well, listen to the former presidents in this country talking
- 1:11Speaker 1: about exactly.
- 1:12Speaker 3: That waste fraud, abuse, to waste, to fraud and to abuse.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Waste fraud and abuse, waste fraud and abuse.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Waste and fraud and abuse.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Waste fraud and abuse, waste fraud and abuse.
- 1:27Speaker 2: That would be unified.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Did you did you hear all of those presidents, every
- 1:31Speaker 1: one of them was saying at some point in their
- 1:35Speaker 1: official capacity as president, that we need to get rid
- 1:39Speaker 1: of waste, fraud and abuse.
- 1:43Speaker 2: So what changed? Why is it now that this is
- 1:47Speaker 2: such a bad thing.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Charles Pain, a friend of mine over at Fox Business Channel,
- 1:52Speaker 1: had a very interesting moment talking about this and exposing
- 1:56Speaker 1: the Democrats, and I want you to hear what was said.
- 1:59Speaker 3: They have it all the candidates, all the presidents, everyone,
- 2:02Speaker 3: and go into the White House all day you America,
- 2:04Speaker 3: the same pledge.
- 2:05Speaker 2: But here's the thing.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Now it's happening, and politicians are going ballistic.
- 2:10Speaker 2: We're winning in court.
- 2:12Speaker 5: More than a dozen federal injunctions and temporary restraint orders
- 2:16Speaker 5: have been issued against everything from their illegal seizure of
- 2:20Speaker 5: computer data to their illegal attempt to ban birthright citizenship.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Number one.
- 2:26Speaker 5: You know the constitution, you know they can't just freeze
- 2:29Speaker 5: these funds.
- 2:30Speaker 1: This DOJA, I called the Department of Government Inefficiencies is
- 2:35Speaker 1: causing a reign of terror chaos across the federal government.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Terrors. Yeah, I get so.
- 2:43Speaker 3: If you've been stealing money, I'd be scared as hell too.
- 2:46Speaker 1: If you're stealing money, I'd be scared as hell to Now.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Something else that's really interesting is that Google searches in
- 2:56Speaker 1: and around DC have skyrocketed when it comes to asking
- 3:01Speaker 1: about when do you need a lawyer? How long can
- 3:05Speaker 1: you go to jail for corruption? Government corruption, money laundering,
- 3:11Speaker 1: and fraud. All of these different Google searches have skyrocketed
- 3:15Speaker 1: since Donald Trump has come into office. That is part
- 3:19Speaker 1: of the reason why people are asking so many questions
- 3:22Speaker 1: now about each aspect of what the President's trying.
- 3:26Speaker 2: To do, which is clean up waste, fraud, and abuse.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Now, the Democrats, this is how they've been controlling society.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I don't think anybody understood just how corrupt the government
- 3:39Speaker 1: was until we started seeing Elon must give the receipts
- 3:43Speaker 1: of where the money has actually been going. Now DOGE
- 3:46Speaker 1: is also now seeking public help. This is the first
- 3:50Speaker 1: time they've come out saying we need your help. They
- 3:53Speaker 1: are now seeking the public's help identifying government waste and
- 3:57Speaker 1: they are now setting up over two dozen affiliates. Let
- 4:01Speaker 1: me explain part of this new plan that has come
- 4:04Speaker 1: forward for transparency. The Department of Government Efficiency is looking
- 4:10Speaker 1: for help identifying ways that these citizens may know about.
- 4:15Speaker 1: They're now setting up this more than two dozen affiliates
- 4:18Speaker 1: to help organize the mass effort to audit the federal
- 4:21Speaker 1: government after years they say of unchecked waste, fraud and abuse.
- 4:25Speaker 1: That again the Democrats are going to court because they
- 4:28Speaker 1: want to keep it going.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Quote.
- 4:31Speaker 1: DOGE is looking for help from the general public. Please
- 4:35Speaker 1: DM direct message insight for reducing waste, fraud and abuse
- 4:39Speaker 1: along with any helpful insights or awesome ideas to the
- 4:43Speaker 1: relevant DOGE affiliates found on the affiliates tab. For example,
- 4:47Speaker 1: they have DOGE at USDA or DOGE at SSA. It
- 4:52Speaker 1: announced this, adding it plans to have more affiliates as
- 4:55Speaker 1: time goes on, so that we can.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Have more power over where our money going.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Now.
- 5:01Speaker 1: A brief look at doge's affiliate tabs show more than
- 5:04Speaker 1: two dozen DOGE accounts designed for various departments across the government.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You could describe this also as a whistleblower's hotline there
- 5:12Speaker 1: is a DOGE for the Department of State, now the
- 5:15Speaker 1: US Interior, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, National Parks,
- 5:21Speaker 1: the Department of Education, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department
- 5:26Speaker 1: of Transportation FEMA, the IRS, Treasury, and many more. The
- 5:32Speaker 1: announcement comes on the hills of Doge, highlighting waste in
- 5:35Speaker 1: relation to the Treasury Department, saying, in the fiscal year
- 5:39Speaker 1: twenty twenty three, twenty five billion let me say that
- 5:43Speaker 1: number again, twenty five billion in tax refunds were delayed
- 5:50Speaker 1: or lost due to returned or expired checks. Doge wrote,
- 5:56Speaker 1: the Treasury maintains a physical lock box network or collected
- 6:00Speaker 1: checks for tax, IRS, Passport, State Department, et cetera. It
- 6:06Speaker 1: costs approximately two dollars and forty cents per check to
- 6:10Speaker 1: maintain this lock box network. Deleting paper checks would save
- 6:16Speaker 1: at least seven hundred and fifty million dollars per year alone.
- 6:22Speaker 1: The Department of Government Efficiency also laid out, saying, in essence,
- 6:26Speaker 1: why the hell are we sending out checks anymore? The
- 6:28Speaker 1: Treasury process one hundred and sixteen million paper checks in
- 6:32Speaker 1: the fiscal year twenty twenty four.
- 6:34Speaker 2: That's a lot of money, folks.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Seven, one hundred and fifty million dollars a year is
- 6:39Speaker 1: what we would save just deleting the paper checks. Now,
- 6:43Speaker 1: of course there's going to be people that are going
- 6:44Speaker 1: to freak out saying you cannot do this. Now, here's
- 6:47Speaker 1: the other thing that's interesting. DOJE also provided a list
- 6:50Speaker 1: of massive wins for American taxpayers over the weekend, listing
- 6:55Speaker 1: some of the shocking ways that American taxpayer dollars were.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Supposed to to be used.
- 7:01Speaker 1: This included ten million for Mozambique voluntary medical mail circumcision.
- 7:08Speaker 1: That's where your money went, fourteen million for improving public
- 7:12Speaker 1: procurement in Serbia. Why do we give a damn twenty
- 7:16Speaker 1: nine million for strengthening political landscape in Bangladesh, another fourteen
- 7:23Speaker 1: million of your money for social cohesion in Mali, forty
- 7:28Speaker 1: seven million for improving learning outcomes in Asia again why
- 7:32Speaker 1: do we care? And nineteen million for biodiversity conversion in Nepal.
- 7:40Speaker 2: This is some of what DOE is finding now.
- 7:43Speaker 1: We're finding out also that DOJ is saying it is
- 7:46Speaker 1: going to take them maybe two years just to identify
- 7:50Speaker 1: all of the waste. That is how much there is
- 7:54Speaker 1: within the government. That's also why they're putting up these
- 7:57Speaker 1: tip lines in essence so that you can get involved
- 8:00Speaker 1: if you know about government waste, and it seems very
- 8:04Speaker 1: clear now they're also asking for government employees that if
- 8:07Speaker 1: you know government waste, you've seen the government waste, you
- 8:11Speaker 1: understand where the government waste is, here's a way that
- 8:14Speaker 1: you can then let us know about it without having
- 8:17Speaker 1: to worry about someone coming after you or attacking you.
- 8:21Speaker 1: It is amazing, by the way, how quick all of
- 8:25Speaker 1: this is coming undone for the left. So if you
- 8:28Speaker 1: want to know why they're saying, we're going to court
- 8:30Speaker 1: and we're going to fight, and we're going to get
- 8:33Speaker 1: rid of Elon Musk, and we hate Donald Trump.
- 8:36Speaker 2: This is why.
- 8:37Speaker 1: This is how they've controlled not just America, this is
- 8:41Speaker 1: how they've controlled our government institutions, and in many ways,
- 8:45Speaker 1: this is how they've been controlling the world by buying
- 8:50Speaker 1: everyone off. And the piggy bank is getting shut down.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Now I want to pivot real quick to and people
- 9:00Speaker 1: really need to understand the amount of anger and hatred
- 9:04Speaker 1: that is coming towards Donald Trump from the media, and
- 9:07Speaker 1: they're not going to stop and respect the American people
- 9:11Speaker 1: in the next four years at all. They're going to
- 9:14Speaker 1: try to blame Donald Trump for everything and Elon Musk. Now,
- 9:17Speaker 1: I actually think they think Elon Musk is more of
- 9:19Speaker 1: a threat right now than Donald Trump because of what
- 9:21Speaker 1: he's actually implementing. Because of Donald Trump, So they're going
- 9:26Speaker 1: after him with the full force of the media, trying
- 9:31Speaker 1: to figure out a way to force him out of
- 9:33Speaker 1: our government. So prepare for them to do everything they
- 9:37Speaker 1: can to destroy the life of Elon Musk the same
- 9:40Speaker 1: way that they tried to destroy the life of Donald
- 9:42Speaker 1: Trump when he was running for president.
- 9:43Speaker 2: That is not going to change in the near future.
- 9:47Speaker 1: So that is just a storyline that you better be
- 9:49Speaker 1: ready for each and every day. The FAA needs to
- 9:53Speaker 1: be overhauled. We know that it's got problems. We know
- 9:56Speaker 1: that some of what they're using right now when it
- 9:59Speaker 1: comes to technology is archaic. And that is something that
- 10:02Speaker 1: Elon Musk has talked about in where he actually understands
- 10:05Speaker 1: space travel with SpaceX and everything else. He understands FAA
- 10:10Speaker 1: in a very unique way and technology and has actually
- 10:13Speaker 1: dealt with the FAA for quite some time. He understands
- 10:17Speaker 1: just how archaic the organization is and why it needs
- 10:20Speaker 1: to be overhauled. Well, there's a plan now for that,
- 10:24Speaker 1: and Democrats are furious over this plan because we have
- 10:28Speaker 1: found out that a team from SpaceX is being brought
- 10:32Speaker 1: in to overhaul the FAA's air traffic control system, which
- 10:37Speaker 1: is archaic quote a team from Elon Musk SpaceX is
- 10:41Speaker 1: visiting the Air Traffic Control Command Center in Virginia this
- 10:45Speaker 1: week to help overhaul the system in the wake of
- 10:48Speaker 1: last month's deadly air disaster in DC. That is with
- 10:51Speaker 1: the US A Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy announced. The
- 10:55Speaker 1: news comes after it was reported that the FAA five
- 11:00Speaker 1: hundreds of probationary employees who maintain critical air traffic control infrastructure.
- 11:06Speaker 1: That is how it was worded from CNN. The exact
- 11:09Speaker 1: number of workers losing their jobs is unknown, but the
- 11:12Speaker 1: union representing them said it was was in the quote hundreds.
- 11:16Speaker 1: When you put that over the entire country, everybody calmed
- 11:19Speaker 1: down for a second. This does not mean that planes
- 11:22Speaker 1: are going to be falling out of the sky. That's
- 11:24Speaker 1: what the media wants you to believe.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Now.
- 11:26Speaker 1: The Trump administrations and the process of trying to quote
- 11:29Speaker 1: eliminate thousands of federal employees as it works with Congression
- 11:33Speaker 1: Republicans on a massive tax cut bill that is said
- 11:37Speaker 1: to favor mostly corporations and the wealthy.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Again, I'm reading this from CNN.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So if you want to know how scumbaggy they are,
- 11:43Speaker 1: this is how scumbaggy they are. So everything is about
- 11:46Speaker 1: the rich getting richer ride, and they're screwing you. No,
- 11:49Speaker 1: this is a middle class tax cut that will be
- 11:52Speaker 1: the largest in American history. But they're telling you that
- 11:55Speaker 1: it is going to be a tax cut that's only
- 11:56Speaker 1: going to favor corporations and the wealthy.
- 11:58Speaker 2: That is a lie. Hey, this is what they're going
- 12:01Speaker 2: to do. That's why I'm reading this to you so
- 12:03Speaker 2: you understand.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Then the next the very next sentence from the Verge
- 12:09Speaker 1: dot Com reads this way, Elon Musk, the richest man
- 12:12Speaker 1: in the world, is playing a key role in the
- 12:14Speaker 1: in the mass terminations from his perch at the Department
- 12:18Speaker 1: of Government Efficiency. So they want you to hate him.
- 12:21Speaker 1: He's evil, he's rich, he's on a perch.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Like you. Notice the words they're using here.
- 12:27Speaker 1: This is part of the propaganda machine of the Democratic Party.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Now I say all that, and I mentioned early on
- 12:35Speaker 1: that there was another plane crash. The plane crash happened,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and this is important in Canada. Okay, the plane crash
- 12:45Speaker 1: happened in Canada. NBC News went on the air moments
- 12:51Speaker 1: after this plane crash. This is in their Breaking News segment,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and they're talking about the breaking news and NBC News
- 13:00Speaker 1: not only blamed Donald Trump, but they blamed Elon Musk
- 13:03Speaker 1: and they blamed Doge for an airplane flipping while landing
- 13:07Speaker 1: in extremely icy conditions nowhere in America but in Canada.
- 13:14Speaker 1: If you don't hate these people enough is the point
- 13:17Speaker 1: I'm trying to make. Listen to NBC News Breaking News again.
- 13:22Speaker 1: The plane flipped in Canada, not in America, on an
- 13:27Speaker 1: icy airport, landing in Canada, and they say it's Trump
- 13:31Speaker 1: and Musk and Doge's fault.
- 13:34Speaker 4: I did want to underscore to pick up on the
- 13:36Speaker 4: conversation you were just having though, in terms of the
- 13:39Speaker 4: recent string of aviation incidents, Tom, this is gonna yet
- 13:44Speaker 4: again raised a concern about FAA staffing air traffic control staffing. Now,
- 13:51Speaker 4: this is a Canadian air traffic control tower, and this
- 13:54Speaker 4: is under Canadian authority once across the border, and yet,
- 13:58Speaker 4: as you know, there has been this talk about maybe
- 14:00Speaker 4: staff cuts at the FAA as a part of President
- 14:04Speaker 4: Trump's effort to trim down the federal workforce. And yet,
- 14:07Speaker 4: as you also know, the FAA has been complaining for
- 14:10Speaker 4: years that they are understaffed and critical job positions, especially.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Air traffic control.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I was having a conversation with somebody today about whether
- 14:19Speaker 4: air traffic control in America is being affected by the
- 14:21Speaker 4: staff cuts so far, not to their knowledge, and yet
- 14:25Speaker 4: other positions related to maintaining critical equipment appeared to have
- 14:29Speaker 4: been cut. So this is going to feed into all
- 14:31Speaker 4: of these recent incidents, and the safety of the total
- 14:34Speaker 4: air traffic system is going to be very much a
- 14:37Speaker 4: part of the conversation as we go forward, at least
- 14:40Speaker 4: on this side of the country of the border.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I should say.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Okay, so let's just recap that propaganda from NBC. They
- 14:47Speaker 1: just blamed Trump for a accent that happened in Canada.
- 14:50Speaker 1: They then blame Musk for an accent that happened in Canada.
- 14:53Speaker 1: They then blamed Doge for an accent that happened in Canada.
- 14:56Speaker 1: And on the screen while they're talking about this, you
- 14:58Speaker 1: see a building with a MA sign on it that
- 15:01Speaker 1: says Air Canada. The FAA even put out a statement
- 15:04Speaker 1: saying the Delta flight went from Minneapolis, it crashed while
- 15:09Speaker 1: landing it deep in Canada in Toronto, subfreezing temperatures follow
- 15:14Speaker 1: full on ice, and they're.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Saying this is Trump's fault.
- 15:19Speaker 1: And they even say in the report, as you just
- 15:21Speaker 1: heard from NBC News where they break in special news,
- 15:24Speaker 1: all right, this is NBC breaking news, that there is
- 15:28Speaker 1: no indication that there is like a shortage of FAA
- 15:33Speaker 1: controllers in the tower. But we're still going to fearmonger
- 15:36Speaker 1: you on that as well. CNN, by the way, getting
- 15:40Speaker 1: in on the action, obtained air traffic controller transmission speaking
- 15:44Speaker 1: about the Delta flight that crashed at the Toronto Airport.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Take a listen to what they said. Let's turn out
- 15:52Speaker 2: to something.
- 15:53Speaker 6: CNN has just obtained the air traffic control transmission speaking
- 15:56Speaker 6: about the Delta flight that just crashed at the Toronto Airport.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Let's take a list That's why I say, where's the craft?
- 16:03Speaker 7: It's a runway two three right up thresholds right right
- 16:06Speaker 7: at this intersection there two three and fifteen left.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Okay, we got it at the sight. Can you tell
- 16:11Speaker 3: us what the aircraft it was?
- 16:14Speaker 7: Yeah, it was an RG nine Roger with the land
- 16:17Speaker 7: of the threshold of fifteen left. Let's play one minavac.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Ay firm, Yeah, fifteen left a firm likely one man.
- 16:24Speaker 7: We're gonna do that to be able too, you have
- 16:26Speaker 7: to go to that bl.
- 16:27Speaker 3: We're just trying to figure that out. This kind of
- 16:29Speaker 3: new ground for us.
- 16:30Speaker 7: Let's play one manavac Roger, Julian and Quilo. In this
- 16:32Speaker 7: section you can land there win two Sons zero twenty four,
- 16:35Speaker 7: gustein thirty three ECU land Juquila. Let's play one back
- 16:40Speaker 7: likely one man of facto. So you are there's people
- 16:42Speaker 7: outside walking around the aircraft there.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Yeah, we've got to be aircraft. There's upright down and burning.
- 16:48Speaker 7: Tack two son zero twenty three, you got tea thirty three.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Tower life late one. Yeah, just air trave that and
- 16:53Speaker 3: pushing pushing back there or sorry, they beat towed forward.
- 16:57Speaker 3: So we're gonna go past and I'm not sure where
- 17:00Speaker 3: they want up the edition, but we'll let the goo
- 17:01Speaker 3: path that we'll try to get in.
- 17:03Speaker 7: Okay, let's moment of they're not coming out on to Juliet,
- 17:06Speaker 7: so I think they're holding there. They're going to push back,
- 17:08Speaker 7: so you're this question. They're jurying kill.
- 17:10Speaker 3: All right, right, I realized they could put it back.
- 17:13Speaker 3: We're the Gothic. Whether we get to go to that
- 17:15Speaker 3: side or not, it's sort of out of our purview
- 17:17Speaker 3: for our.
- 17:17Speaker 7: For the digital Okay, no problems, just finding out well,
- 17:21Speaker 7: and they are working on back now, thank you.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Now you hear that audio. It is amazing that all
- 17:28Speaker 1: the crew and the passengers are accounted for. It is
- 17:32Speaker 1: amazing that this plane crash landed and rolled and the
- 17:37Speaker 1: people lived. And what is the media doing a plane
- 17:41Speaker 1: crash that happened in another country. They're trying to blame
- 17:44Speaker 1: on Donald Trump, Doge and Elon Musk. That's how sick
- 17:49Speaker 1: these people are. That, I mean, that is how sick
- 17:53Speaker 1: these people are. They can't just cover the news that
- 17:56Speaker 1: a plane crashed in Canada. No, no, this has got
- 17:58Speaker 1: to be Donald Trump's fault. It's got to be dog's fault.
- 18:02Speaker 1: It's got to be Elon Mus's fault somehow someways. So
- 18:05Speaker 1: let's just throw it out there and we'll put fear
- 18:08Speaker 1: in people's minds and maybe we can stop them from
- 18:11Speaker 1: actually saving American taxpayer dollars. We've talked about this for
- 18:18Speaker 1: a while and it is a warning of what happens
- 18:20Speaker 1: if you allow the government to well silence speech.
- 18:25Speaker 2: A lot of speech that you may not like or
- 18:27Speaker 2: I may not like, or may not agree with. But
- 18:28Speaker 2: does it have a right to be said?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Do you have a right to say things online without
- 18:33Speaker 1: having to worry that someone's going to come and arrest
- 18:36Speaker 1: you because the government was offended. Well, it's not the
- 18:40Speaker 1: first time in Germany to have someone threaten to arrest
- 18:44Speaker 1: you if you say something the government doesn't like. There
- 18:46Speaker 1: was a guy by the name of Adolf Hitler that
- 18:49Speaker 1: had no problem using his goons to come after people
- 18:52Speaker 1: in Germany if you said things they didn't like.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Well, guess what, they're doing it again.
- 18:59Speaker 1: And the worst part is CBS News was glorifying it
- 19:03Speaker 1: in a sixty minutes report. That's right, The American broadcaster
- 19:08Speaker 1: CBS followed German police as they rated homes for what
- 19:13Speaker 1: they described as speech crimes.
- 19:17Speaker 2: So what were some of those crimes?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Things like a quote racist cartoon or a meme that
- 19:23Speaker 1: the government thought crossed a line. And now prosecutors in
- 19:27Speaker 1: the country are saying they have no choice but to
- 19:30Speaker 1: do this, defending the move as what they describe as
- 19:34Speaker 1: a safeguard necessary to protect democracy. Now, what makes this
- 19:41Speaker 1: story so interesting is just days after the Vice President JD.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Vance Lamb blasted Germany and other European states for failing
- 19:52Speaker 1: to live up to Western ideals of liberty, particularly on
- 19:56Speaker 1: the issue of free speech, CBS's Sixty Minutes News magazine
- 20:01Speaker 1: decide it was the perfect time to broadcast footage of
- 20:05Speaker 1: these police raids over social media posts and interviews with
- 20:08Speaker 1: the prosecutors defending these dray Coonian practices. You know, the
- 20:13Speaker 1: same type of thing that Adolf Hitler would use to
- 20:15Speaker 1: silence people that were against him. I want you to
- 20:19Speaker 1: listen to how CBS News is trying to sell this
- 20:22Speaker 1: to you, the American people.
- 20:23Speaker 2: This isn't CBS News.
- 20:25Speaker 1: In Germany, right, They're airing this to you in America,
- 20:32Speaker 1: trying to get you to believe that the only way
- 20:36Speaker 1: you can save a democracy is if you silence, lock
- 20:39Speaker 1: people up, and raid their homes for things they say
- 20:43Speaker 1: that you may find offensive.
- 20:46Speaker 8: If you've ever dared to read the comments on a
- 20:48Speaker 8: social media post, you might start to wonder if civilized
- 20:52Speaker 8: discourse is just a myth. Aggressive threats, lies, and harassment
- 20:57Speaker 8: have unfortunately become the norm online or anonymity has emboldened
- 21:02Speaker 8: some users to push the limits of civility. In the
- 21:06Speaker 8: United States, most of what anyone says, sends, or streams online,
- 21:11Speaker 8: even if it's hate filled or toxic, is protected by
- 21:14Speaker 8: the First Amendment as free speech. But Germany is trying
- 21:18Speaker 8: to bring some civility to the world Wide Web by
- 21:21Speaker 8: policing it in a way most Americans could never imagine.
- 21:25Speaker 8: In an effort, it says, to protect this course, German
- 21:29Speaker 8: authorities have started prosecuting online trolls, and as we saw,
- 21:34Speaker 8: it often begins with a pre dawn wake up call
- 21:37Speaker 8: from the police. It's six oh one on a Tuesday morning,
- 21:41Speaker 8: and we were with state police as they raided this
- 21:44Speaker 8: apartment in northwest Germany. Fifty inside. Six armed officers searched
- 21:52Speaker 8: to suspects home, then seized his laptop and cell phone.
- 21:56Speaker 8: Prosecutors say those electronics may have been used to commit
- 22:00Speaker 8: a crime, the crime posting a racist cartoon online. At
- 22:07Speaker 8: the exact same time, across Germany, more than fifty similar
- 22:13Speaker 8: raids played out, part of what prosecutors say is a
- 22:16Speaker 8: coordinated effort to curb online hate speech in Germany. What's
- 22:21Speaker 8: the typical reaction when the police show up at somebody's
- 22:25Speaker 8: door and they say, hey, we believe you wrote this
- 22:28Speaker 8: on the internet.
- 22:30Speaker 6: They say, in Germany, we say that's look. And so
- 22:34Speaker 6: we are here with crimes of talking posting an internet
- 22:38Speaker 6: and the people are surprised that this is really illegal
- 22:42Speaker 6: to post these kind of words.
- 22:44Speaker 8: They don't think it was illegal.
- 22:46Speaker 3: They don't.
- 22:47Speaker 1: By the way, I love that the prosecutors are saying, yeah,
- 22:49Speaker 1: they're really surprised when we bang on their door. Yeah,
- 22:52Speaker 1: no crap, because they thought they had freedom of speech.
- 22:56Speaker 1: And what you guys are doing is you're saying we
- 22:58Speaker 1: sanction the government.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Is what Hitler did.
- 23:01Speaker 1: This is in Germany sixty minutes. Is glorifying this, saying like, hey,
- 23:04Speaker 1: we need this in America is the government should decide
- 23:07Speaker 1: what you can and can't say we went through this.
- 23:10Speaker 1: By the way, with COVID, oh, you can't say the
- 23:12Speaker 1: word ivermectin. You can't say the word Wuhan Institute of Virology.
- 23:16Speaker 1: You can't say that the stop the spread isn't working
- 23:19Speaker 1: after six months when they said it would only stop
- 23:22Speaker 1: for two weeks. You can't say masks don't work. You
- 23:25Speaker 1: can't say that the six foot rule is insane. Right,
- 23:30Speaker 1: you can't say that you're killing the economy because you're
- 23:34Speaker 1: shutting down all these businesses. You can't say that kids
- 23:36Speaker 1: aren't getting a good education, and then there's no way
- 23:39Speaker 1: that this distance learning is going to be effective.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:42Speaker 1: These are all things where they're like, oh, you can't
- 23:43Speaker 1: say this, You can't criticize doctor Fauci and the Wuhan
- 23:48Speaker 1: Institute of Virology at all. Right, that we were silenced online.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Now that we fought back, that's why Donald Trump's president.
- 23:56Speaker 1: But what sixty men's saying is no, no, this is
- 23:58Speaker 1: the civilized way of doing things, German way, right, And
- 24:02Speaker 1: these citizens in Germany are shocked that you can't say
- 24:05Speaker 1: things that we say you're not allowed to say in Germany.
- 24:08Speaker 2: That's what they're telling you. Keep listening.
- 24:10Speaker 6: I'm saying it was illegal, and they say, no, that's
- 24:13Speaker 6: my free speech, and we said no, yeah, free speech
- 24:16Speaker 6: as well, but it also has limits.
- 24:19Speaker 8: Interpreting those limits is part of the job for doctor
- 24:22Speaker 8: Mataaspink Savina mining House and Frank Mihai l Lau, a
- 24:26Speaker 8: few of the state prosecutors tasked with policing Germany's robust
- 24:31Speaker 8: hate speech laws online.
- 24:35Speaker 1: By the way, Notice how they say it in the
- 24:37Speaker 1: name of hate speech online.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Right, Like they're like, well, where we had to do this.
- 24:43Speaker 2: We're forced to do this.
- 24:46Speaker 1: We're forced to take away your right to say things
- 24:49Speaker 1: online because you guys just got out of control.
- 24:52Speaker 2: So we had no other option but to stop and
- 24:57Speaker 2: to auto.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Correct the So that's why we're knocking on your door,
- 25:02Speaker 1: arresting you, taking your laptop and everything else. Now here's
- 25:06Speaker 1: the next part the kicker. Listen to what they say,
- 25:09Speaker 1: because they're going to bring up like Nazi Germany. Okay,
- 25:13Speaker 1: that's part of the his part that just makes me laugh.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Here they put up an image of the people walking
- 25:20Speaker 1: down the street with their hands up in the air
- 25:23Speaker 1: of the soldiers to Hitler.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Listen.
- 25:27Speaker 8: After its darkest chapter, Germany strengthened its speech laws. As
- 25:31Speaker 8: prosecutors explain it, the German constitution protects free speech, but
- 25:36Speaker 8: not hate speech. And here's where it gets tricky. German
- 25:40Speaker 8: law prohibits any speech that could incite hatred or is
- 25:44Speaker 8: deemed insulting.
- 25:45Speaker 1: So you just heard it there, Well, if the government
- 25:49Speaker 1: deems it what you're saying could make someone angry or
- 25:53Speaker 1: could trigger someone.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Let's talk about transgenders. In America real quick.
- 25:58Speaker 1: A great example of this will be them saying, well,
- 26:00Speaker 1: you have freedom of speech, but you can't say that
- 26:02Speaker 1: a dude that dresses like a chick is still a
- 26:04Speaker 1: dude that could incite violence.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Makes some angry.
- 26:07Speaker 1: So therefore we're going to come arrest you and take
- 26:08Speaker 1: you down and take your property and charge you with
- 26:11Speaker 1: crimes because you incited a dude that's dressing.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Like a check.
- 26:16Speaker 1: That's the standard they're saying, is now the normal in Germany.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Listen to prosecutors.
- 26:21Speaker 8: It's illegal to display Nazi symbolism, a swasaka, deny the Holocaust.
- 26:26Speaker 8: That's that's clear. Is it a crime to insult somebody
- 26:30Speaker 8: in public? Yes, yes, and it's a crime to insult
- 26:34Speaker 8: them online as well.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yes.
- 26:36Speaker 6: The fine could be even higher if you insult someone
- 26:40Speaker 6: in the internet. Why because an internet it stays there.
- 26:45Speaker 6: If we are talking you face to face, you insult
- 26:47Speaker 6: me and sold you okay, finish. But if you in
- 26:50Speaker 6: the internet, if I insiled you or a politician.
- 26:52Speaker 8: That sticks around forever. Yeah, the prosecutors explain. German law
- 26:57Speaker 8: also prohibits the spread of malicious gossip, violent threats, and
- 27:02Speaker 8: fake quotes. If somebody posts something that's not true and
- 27:07Speaker 8: then somebody else reposts it or likes it. Are they
- 27:10Speaker 8: committing a crime?
- 27:12Speaker 6: And the case of reposting it as a crime as well,
- 27:14Speaker 6: because the read to contastinguished whether you just invented this.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Or just reposted it.
- 27:21Speaker 1: So to be clear, you find something online, you repost
- 27:25Speaker 1: it to bring awareness to it. Maybe it's something you
- 27:27Speaker 1: can't stand and they say it's not accurate or factual,
- 27:30Speaker 1: they can come now and arrest you and charge you
- 27:33Speaker 1: with a crime in Germany.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And this is what sixty minutes is advocating for.
- 27:39Speaker 1: The Only reason why you do this damn story is
- 27:41Speaker 1: because you're saying, hey, we should probably think about doing
- 27:43Speaker 1: some of this in America. Folks like you know, we
- 27:47Speaker 1: need some of this tough love in America for people online.
- 27:51Speaker 1: So you post something we don't like, all right? Let
- 27:53Speaker 1: me let me give you an example. If we use
- 27:56Speaker 1: the standard that was just laid out on sixty minutes,
- 28:00Speaker 1: and people start talking during COVID about ivermectin and I
- 28:04Speaker 1: post something positive about ivermectin, could they then come and
- 28:11Speaker 1: arrest me for posting something about ivermectin that they then
- 28:16Speaker 1: decide to declare as a horsty warmer, even though it
- 28:19Speaker 1: wasn't just because they didn't want you to use something
- 28:21Speaker 1: that they didn't approve of.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I think you know the answer to that.
- 28:25Speaker 1: In Germany, Yeah, they'll come arrest your abs, drag you
- 28:29Speaker 1: from your home. That's what they'll do, and they have
- 28:32Speaker 1: no problem doing it. And now sixty Minutes is putting
- 28:36Speaker 1: it out there as propaganda of something we should.
- 28:39Speaker 2: All like aspire to.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I put this out there as a warning. Pay attention.
- 28:45Speaker 1: They're not going to stop. Don't forget. Share this podcast
- 28:51Speaker 1: please on social media wherever you're listening, Grab it, hit
- 28:54Speaker 1: that auto button, that forward button, share it. Put it
- 28:58Speaker 1: out there so other people can find this show. Without
- 29:00Speaker 1: you guys doing that, we don't get new audience members.
- 29:03Speaker 1: So if you want to help fight back against what
- 29:05Speaker 1: we're exposing, share it on social media.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I'll see you back here tomorrow.
