- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a look back down giving them
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the million bucks things, and it's not good step
- 0:24Speaker 1: together for stay, I don't join me. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn, hur you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You love, got to turn them out of the turn,
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water, the water go. Come come on your thing, huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, Oh, come on, dig me now, one and
- 2:09Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show, Boil Boiled boy.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I can't even tell you, man um. I've been doing
- 2:20Speaker 1: some thinking and and one of the things that I
- 2:24Speaker 1: wanted to mention today to you as one of the
- 2:27Speaker 1: principles of success being grateful at all times. It's difficult
- 2:35Speaker 1: to do. Being grateful at all times. It's very difficult
- 2:43Speaker 1: to do. I find that to be true with myself.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Now there are others that might be able to do it,
- 2:50Speaker 1: but just just from talking and listening and and and
- 2:54Speaker 1: living and learning, being grateful at all times is difficult
- 2:58Speaker 1: to do. But it's necessary because it's such an act
- 3:05Speaker 1: of faith in knowing that no matter what's going on,
- 3:09Speaker 1: it's going to be all right. And it's hard to
- 3:13Speaker 1: see that when things are not going in your favor,
- 3:18Speaker 1: when things have turned so dramatically the other way, and
- 3:22Speaker 1: it seems as though you're the only one in the
- 3:26Speaker 1: situation where you're involved with other people, or someone got
- 3:29Speaker 1: an accusation against you falsely, or somebody trying to do
- 3:33Speaker 1: something to you unjustifiably, whatever the case may be. When
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's happening to you, it does appear to you that, oh,
- 3:42Speaker 1: my goodness, man, this is horribly one sided. So it
- 3:48Speaker 1: is difficult. It's hard to do to be grateful at
- 3:51Speaker 1: all times, but it's so necessary, and I I just
- 3:55Speaker 1: want to point out a couple of things to you.
- 3:58Speaker 1: First of all, the difficulty in being grateful in hard
- 4:02Speaker 1: times is that number one, the present circumstances. Oftentimes it's
- 4:10Speaker 1: just so pressing and so overwhelming that a lot of
- 4:13Speaker 1: your energy is devoted to trying to come up with
- 4:17Speaker 1: the solution for that, or trying to muster the strength
- 4:20Speaker 1: to whether the storm, or trying to just brace yourself
- 4:24Speaker 1: to try to get through it, and in doing that,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you don't It's hard to be grateful. It's hard to
- 4:31Speaker 1: be grateful in pain. And I know it is. But
- 4:35Speaker 1: but here is the trick for me. This is what
- 4:40Speaker 1: I've had to learn how to do, and I guess
- 4:43Speaker 1: it takes practice to get here. It's not nothing you
- 4:46Speaker 1: just start doing right away. You got to practice it
- 4:49Speaker 1: in small increments to really get it. What I've always
- 4:52Speaker 1: had to say to myself and what I've learned to
- 4:54Speaker 1: say to myself is this is happening to me because
- 5:00Speaker 1: God is working me through something. This is happening to
- 5:04Speaker 1: me because there's some form of tests that I have
- 5:07Speaker 1: to pass in order to graduate to the next grade,
- 5:11Speaker 1: in order to be allowed to move to the next level.
- 5:15Speaker 1: This is happening to me because there's something I need
- 5:19Speaker 1: to purge my life, of my body, of my spirit,
- 5:24Speaker 1: of something's purging in me. And when you purge something,
- 5:29Speaker 1: it's it's painful. You know, It's like a person getting
- 5:32Speaker 1: off drugs. The withdrawal is agonizing. I've been told and
- 5:37Speaker 1: every documentary I've ever watched it it's an agonizing process
- 5:42Speaker 1: to go cold turkey, to withdraw, to pull away after
- 5:46Speaker 1: you've been doing something so long. And so I know
- 5:51Speaker 1: that this process is tough when you're going through some pain,
- 5:56Speaker 1: but when you're purging your system, when you when you're
- 6:00Speaker 1: when you're having to pass a test, when you're about
- 6:03Speaker 1: to make when when you're being made ready for the
- 6:07Speaker 1: next level, that moment right in there, in realizing that
- 6:12Speaker 1: that's what's happening, that's where you find the gratitude. That's
- 6:16Speaker 1: where I found the gratitude. I hope I'm explaining this correctly.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep trying until I get it. But that's
- 6:23Speaker 1: where you find the gratitude. The second part of it
- 6:28Speaker 1: is is that God has never left me in all
- 6:33Speaker 1: the things I've done, in all the mistakes I've made,
- 6:37Speaker 1: all the lies I've told, all the situations I've gotten
- 6:41Speaker 1: myself into from being greedy and wanting too much for
- 6:46Speaker 1: me at the expense sometimes of other people, not doing
- 6:53Speaker 1: it deliberately or in a vindictive way, because I've never
- 6:58Speaker 1: had that spirit. I'm not a vindictive or mean person,
- 7:02Speaker 1: but sometimes in my life, in wanting to do what
- 7:06Speaker 1: I wanted to do, I didn't totally weigh out the
- 7:10Speaker 1: cause and effect of the other person. I mean, can't
- 7:13Speaker 1: just be real with you with that? I mean, how
- 7:16Speaker 1: many times we hadn't all done that? Look doesn't don't
- 7:18Speaker 1: make you a bad person. You know, good people do
- 7:22Speaker 1: bad things all the time. I just happen to have
- 7:26Speaker 1: come to the realization that unknowingly and and not and
- 7:32Speaker 1: not with malice intent towards a person. I've heard people
- 7:39Speaker 1: looking at something I wanted to do without really looking
- 7:43Speaker 1: at what the cause and effect would be on the
- 7:46Speaker 1: other person. So in doing some of these things, I've
- 7:50Speaker 1: created situations for myself. But God, through his grace and mercy,
- 7:55Speaker 1: has allowed me to even get beyond that. So when
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm saying that God has never left me in spite
- 8:02Speaker 1: of myself, He's always gotten me through. So that's the
- 8:06Speaker 1: other part of it too. See that no matter what
- 8:09Speaker 1: you're going through, you've got to understand that God has
- 8:12Speaker 1: always gotten you through it, now, hasn't it. Now that
- 8:15Speaker 1: may not be the way you want it or the
- 8:17Speaker 1: way you liked, but guess what, you can't do wrong
- 8:20Speaker 1: and not pay for that. Now that that's not how
- 8:23Speaker 1: this works, That's never going to be the case. But
- 8:26Speaker 1: the great thing about God is he fires warning shots
- 8:29Speaker 1: at us all the time. He gives us an opportunity
- 8:31Speaker 1: to stop. You know, he don't fully punish us right
- 8:35Speaker 1: away every time we do something wrong. Now, does it
- 8:38Speaker 1: you know eventually you're going to get caught doing whatever
- 8:41Speaker 1: it is you're doing. You do understand that, don't you.
- 8:45Speaker 1: But the first time, that close call, that was a
- 8:48Speaker 1: warning shot for you to stop. Look, I know you're
- 8:51Speaker 1: not perfect. I know we all sent us down here,
- 8:53Speaker 1: so I know you're gonna make mistakes. One time, I
- 8:55Speaker 1: know you was looking at her when you wasn't supposed to.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I know you said something to him when you wasn't
- 9:00Speaker 1: supposed to. I know you got with her when you
- 9:03Speaker 1: know you wasn't supposed to. And I know you got
- 9:05Speaker 1: with him when you know you wasn't supposed to. So
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna fire
- 9:09Speaker 1: warning shot and maybe you'll slow your roll this time.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But we keep on though. See see see that's what happens.
- 9:16Speaker 1: See we just keep on and then the next thing,
- 9:18Speaker 1: you know, we get caught. Now, old Lord, have mercy,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I won't out of this. Yeah. Well see you didn't
- 9:24Speaker 1: dug this hole pretty deep, and he gonna get you out.
- 9:28Speaker 1: But there's some things that's got to go down now
- 9:31Speaker 1: because you didn't pay attention to the warning shot. See,
- 9:33Speaker 1: had you stopped the first time you felt bad about
- 9:36Speaker 1: it and said you wasn't gonna do it no more.
- 9:38Speaker 1: The situation wouldn't be as critical. But because we don't stop,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and we go again. But God always for gives, He
- 9:47Speaker 1: always allows us to get back up again. He always
- 9:51Speaker 1: gives us mercy. He always gives us his grace. He
- 9:56Speaker 1: always does that. You're sta Morning Show ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:04Speaker 1: The time has come to show some gratitude that will
- 10:10Speaker 1: affect your attitude, that is in direct correlation with your altitude.
- 10:15Speaker 1: If you get them three twodes together, you boy, you
- 10:18Speaker 1: mess around, be something now. Gratitude affects your aptitude, the
- 10:23Speaker 1: direct correlation with the altitude, and that's how it works
- 10:26Speaker 1: in life. Man, Please don't get it twisted. Tell God
- 10:28Speaker 1: that you appreciate him today, thank him for the small
- 10:31Speaker 1: things as well as the great thing. And if you
- 10:34Speaker 1: do that, you'll be thanking him for quite some time.
- 10:37Speaker 1: This to Steve Harvey, Morning Show, look at him, Shirley Strawberry,
- 10:41Speaker 1: Mouth of the South, Junior, the legend of Nephew Tommy,
- 10:46Speaker 1: and none other than yours truly truly head over heels
- 10:59Speaker 1: or richie man. You know how many songs it's in
- 11:02Speaker 1: my head at one time I'm going man, I'm telling you, man, Yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 1: if it wasn't for music now, I really I don't
- 11:12Speaker 1: know what I'll do. Man. All of the great song
- 11:15Speaker 1: there's some great pop songs, but all of the great
- 11:19Speaker 1: songs it is R and B Man Junior. Yeah, anything
- 11:25Speaker 1: swirling through your mind? Swirling, I like swirling. Yeah, I
- 11:32Speaker 1: tell you this, I's going on with me. You know,
- 11:33Speaker 1: I'd be so grateful man, for the things that's going right.
- 11:37Speaker 1: But then we always tend to start worrying, like worrying
- 11:41Speaker 1: and think about something that's coming up, and you're just like,
- 11:43Speaker 1: I don't know if that's gonna work out for me.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I don't know if this's gonna happen for me. I
- 11:46Speaker 1: don't know if we're gonna do this right or how
- 11:47Speaker 1: we're gonna get from pointing to point me. Because my
- 11:49Speaker 1: marriage is new, I'm trying to lead, man, and I'm
- 11:52Speaker 1: kind of nervous about some of the things that got
- 11:53Speaker 1: to happen. Well, you know, look, man, worry is natural,
- 12:00Speaker 1: don't I don't. I don't let nobody tell me to
- 12:02Speaker 1: about I never wear about anything, really should do really,
- 12:06Speaker 1: really you don't worry about nothing. You know. When I
- 12:10Speaker 1: hear people say that. Man, I know that this person
- 12:12Speaker 1: is not living in reality because we are human beings.
- 12:16Speaker 1: And that's why we constantly have to be fed and
- 12:19Speaker 1: constantly have to be nourished with positive thoughts, with scriptures,
- 12:23Speaker 1: with with you know, just just positivity, because all of
- 12:28Speaker 1: us we live in a very negative world. We don't
- 12:32Speaker 1: live in a holy, righteous world. We live in a
- 12:36Speaker 1: fallen world. Man. This thing is crumbling all around us,
- 12:40Speaker 1: and you can't help but fall prey to it for
- 12:45Speaker 1: a time. And so it's a natural thing. Man. But
- 12:50Speaker 1: when you start worrying, but when you start worrying, you
- 12:55Speaker 1: should start praying. Because worried worry does not pick man,
- 13:00Speaker 1: it does. The scripture that talks about I don't know
- 13:02Speaker 1: what it is exactly because and and have you noticed, man,
- 13:07Speaker 1: the thing that you worry about when you get there
- 13:11Speaker 1: usually wouldn't really it. It don't really be it. So
- 13:17Speaker 1: you know, man, when when you start wearing, man, change
- 13:20Speaker 1: your focus to prayer and that usually help. What it
- 13:24Speaker 1: does help. But it's part of the process. Man, It's
- 13:27Speaker 1: it's very normal, Junior, It's very normal quick tripping about
- 13:31Speaker 1: stuff you have no control over. I try to not
- 13:33Speaker 1: do that. Amen to that all right, thank you guys.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll
- 13:39Speaker 1: hear from the nephew if he runs that prank back
- 13:42Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Stry Morning Show. It is
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now for the nephew to run that prank back.
- 13:50Speaker 1: What's you got for his nap on ch We're going
- 13:54Speaker 1: down to the church. Oh there there's a funeral that
- 14:00Speaker 1: three minute remal, three minute remarks. We know those that
- 14:05Speaker 1: know how to stay within that time frame, and then
- 14:08Speaker 1: there's those that want to just talk about when they met,
- 14:13Speaker 1: I don't even knowing each other, and it goes on
- 14:16Speaker 1: and on and on. Three minute Rema, let's go. Well, yes,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach your brother Keith. Please. Yeah, this
- 14:26Speaker 1: is Keith, Keith. How are you doing? This is Lawrence
- 14:29Speaker 1: over at ill funeral Home. Okay, we are the ones
- 14:35Speaker 1: that have the um doing the funeral for sister Dolores.
- 14:40Speaker 1: And that is h y'r art my understanding. Right, Yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 1: that's okay, And yes you know the funeral is uh
- 14:50Speaker 1: this coming Thursday. Yes, I'll be that Thursday. I'm giving
- 14:55Speaker 1: you a call because it's been brought to my attention,
- 15:00Speaker 1: uh that you were going to be giving remarks for
- 15:05Speaker 1: the funeral? Is that correct? Yes? Absolutely, Okay. I wanted
- 15:10Speaker 1: to call you because we're getting ready to print the
- 15:13Speaker 1: programs for the funeral and let you know that they
- 15:17Speaker 1: have taken you off for the remarks because they say
- 15:23Speaker 1: that you're not going to be What do you mean
- 15:27Speaker 1: taking me off? Well, what I'm saying is they say
- 15:30Speaker 1: that you're you're not going to abide by the two
- 15:33Speaker 1: three minute rule that they have for remarks, and they
- 15:37Speaker 1: wanted they've they've taken you off. And uh uh? Who
- 15:41Speaker 1: who is they? Who? Who? Who? What's the name is launch?
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'm Launched, I'm the actual funeral director lord. And who
- 15:53Speaker 1: who told you to take me off? One of the
- 15:56Speaker 1: one of the family members I'm assuming is who who
- 15:59Speaker 1: made adjustment? And an adjustment that ain't no adjustment, that's
- 16:04Speaker 1: that's changing the whole program? Who else is on the list?
- 16:08Speaker 1: I mean there's quite a few family members doing different things, uh,
- 16:12Speaker 1: throughout the funeral? Okay, So how did you get to
- 16:16Speaker 1: my name? Is what I'm trying to figure out That
- 16:18Speaker 1: they said that let listen to me, listen, listen to me.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Listen to me, brother, keep listen to me. What they said,
- 16:24Speaker 1: it is that you weren't going to abide by the time,
- 16:29Speaker 1: you weren't going to do your remarks in three minutes
- 16:32Speaker 1: or less. Listen, Listen, listen, listen. Monty raised me. He
- 16:38Speaker 1: put me through college. And you think I'm I'm Beena
- 16:41Speaker 1: goes there in her funeral and be under two minutes. Well,
- 16:47Speaker 1: well listen to listen, but keep brother, keep listen to me. Normally,
- 16:50Speaker 1: when we have these funerals, people who give remarks, we
- 16:54Speaker 1: have them three minutes or less. Okay, I'll tell you
- 16:59Speaker 1: what I tell you what mister lord list? Is she
- 17:02Speaker 1: loan the list? We have a shela. Yes, there's a
- 17:07Speaker 1: ceiler that's singing your name off the list. You hate
- 17:11Speaker 1: her off the list and put me where she supposed
- 17:13Speaker 1: to be with my turn and her time? Is Bobby
- 17:17Speaker 1: Joy to Bobby now? Yes, Bobby Junior is given remark.
- 17:24Speaker 1: That's that's that's Delores' that's mister Delores's son, right, Yes,
- 17:30Speaker 1: the son, the one that's been locked up. He just
- 17:32Speaker 1: got out of tail. The truth be told. He the
- 17:35Speaker 1: one Dawn. Then put her in the coffee. You needn't
- 17:37Speaker 1: take him off the list too. Give me all that
- 17:39Speaker 1: time because I mean if I gonna take nothing that Keith,
- 17:43Speaker 1: let me let me, let me just say this to you.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I cannot take Sheila or Bobby Junior off. I can't
- 17:50Speaker 1: make any alterations to this program unless they say that, actually, sir,
- 17:58Speaker 1: you already you already take you. I'm already taking people
- 18:01Speaker 1: name off. You're taking my name off. But but they
- 18:04Speaker 1: they orchestrated this though. Who is they? Who is Day?
- 18:09Speaker 1: They for having my problems? They try to take me
- 18:11Speaker 1: off my Monkey program? Who is Day? Sir? I'm not
- 18:16Speaker 1: gonna get into a family matter. But until they say that,
- 18:20Speaker 1: you can't matter sure, I'm not gonna. I don't want to.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I don't want to have this turn out to be
- 18:27Speaker 1: bad and we want to have a great homegoing for
- 18:29Speaker 1: sister Deloyder. Okay, damn right. And if I don't get
- 18:33Speaker 1: to say nothing, I guarantee you, I guarantee you it's
- 18:36Speaker 1: gonna be a truthful one in there. Somebody else don't
- 18:39Speaker 1: get things in the car for tooth. I catcheees that
- 18:42Speaker 1: if I don't get to say nothing in my unkey funeral.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Monkey didn't pay for them college. I didn't put six
- 18:48Speaker 1: thousand novels in the funeral. I bet you I tell
- 18:51Speaker 1: you this. I'll tell you this, mister lord. I bet
- 18:54Speaker 1: you whether I'm on the program, I'm not. I bet
- 18:57Speaker 1: you I say it with the fool I want to.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I gant you that much. You tell Bay that I didn't.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I didn't put me through colleagues put money on the funeral.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I called around a few who ain't putting no money
- 19:11Speaker 1: on the Frindal fell in. They can't see on the program, man,
- 19:16Speaker 1: keep they when they decide who who Who's own it?
- 19:22Speaker 1: If they changed the format, then I will call you back.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Who who the is thege? That's what I'm trying to get.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Get you understand who is back? Can I can? I
- 19:32Speaker 1: tell you something and I don't want you to get
- 19:34Speaker 1: to I rape. Okay, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, man,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I just want to say this, Keith will them. This
- 19:42Speaker 1: is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Mornin Show. You
- 19:45Speaker 1: just got freaked d just have gotten breaked by your cousin,
- 19:49Speaker 1: Bobby Junior. You boom, I'm Bobby Junior. U. I'm kicking Bobby.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I know that my love pressure is all up. I
- 20:05Speaker 1: ain't got foundy playing man taking me up? Damn program?
- 20:13Speaker 1: Oh Bobby Bobby said, y'all grew up like brothers man,
- 20:19Speaker 1: and you was you was basically another son of mister Lord's.
- 20:22Speaker 1: That's right, Yes, yes, I was. Man. Oh hey, let
- 20:27Speaker 1: me ask you this man, what is the baddest and
- 20:30Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the land? Steve
- 20:34Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, nephew, thank you? Coming up next, Yes,
- 20:44Speaker 1: coming up next. It is asked to CLO Chief Love
- 20:48Speaker 1: Officer Steve Harvey in the building for your love questions.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Stry Morning Show. Coming up
- 20:57Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Junior has news about
- 21:00Speaker 1: a brand new podcast. Oh really, Junior, Okay, Nipsey Hustle's
- 21:05Speaker 1: murderer is sentenced to sixty years in prison, and Judge
- 21:10Speaker 1: Greg Mathis has landed on the AMG network with an
- 21:13Speaker 1: all new show, Look at God. But right now it
- 21:18Speaker 1: is time to ask the CELLO. We'll talk about all
- 21:21Speaker 1: of those stories at the top of the hour. Right
- 21:23Speaker 1: now it is time for the CLO to answer. Sharon
- 21:26Speaker 1: in Arlington, Sharon writes, I'm fifty six and I was
- 21:30Speaker 1: dating a fifty three year old man. Last night. As
- 21:33Speaker 1: we walked out of Chili's, a woman ran up to
- 21:36Speaker 1: my man and went off on him because he'd had
- 21:38Speaker 1: sex with her before. He took me out to dinner.
- 21:41Speaker 1: She ended up taking me home after all of that.
- 21:44Speaker 1: And do men ever get tired of lying? Is my question?
- 21:48Speaker 1: Cheating and playing field? You're lying, cheating and playing the field.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Did she say she took she? Yeah, she ended up
- 21:58Speaker 1: going home with the woman after all of that. The
- 22:02Speaker 1: woman ended up taking her home, taking her home to
- 22:05Speaker 1: do both. Well, it doesn't say it doesn't say they
- 22:09Speaker 1: got into an argument. And well, I mean when I
- 22:13Speaker 1: had him on the woman at the chili, both of
- 22:15Speaker 1: them must have had a car. Who ain't nobody walked
- 22:18Speaker 1: down the chili? Chilies ate by nobody house? Yeah, you
- 22:24Speaker 1: got to get in your car to go to chili.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Don't nobody stay upstairs on top of chili's Saint just
- 22:34Speaker 1: they Saint Harold's wings. Don't nobody stay on top of chili? Well,
- 22:41Speaker 1: the two women I'm seeing each other, I'm confused. Yeah,
- 22:44Speaker 1: it kind of sounds like that, but but you know,
- 22:47Speaker 1: if this is what it says Steve last, well, I
- 22:49Speaker 1: don't know if they were seeing each other. They Okay,
- 22:51Speaker 1: the question is so I'm assuming she didn't hook up
- 22:54Speaker 1: with the woman likes. I don't think so, I don't.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I'm thinking maybe they just went she gave her a
- 22:59Speaker 1: ride at home. Yeah, they were both mad at the
- 23:01Speaker 1: man at that point, so she was probably like, come on, girl,
- 23:04Speaker 1: I'll take your home something like that. So what's the question.
- 23:08Speaker 1: The question is do men ever get tired of lying,
- 23:12Speaker 1: cheating and playing the field. That's the question. Yeah, yeah, absolutely,
- 23:20Speaker 1: all right. She might be hard and tired, but ain't
- 23:22Speaker 1: nobody gonna right, I mean, the playing the fielders out there,
- 23:29Speaker 1: But there are a lot of men who grow tired
- 23:31Speaker 1: of it. I was exhausted. I had wore my ass out.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I had done just two damn much to your sister.
- 23:44Speaker 1: And sister, if you don't take your ass home and
- 23:49Speaker 1: stitch your stupid ass out, oh you mess around, go
- 23:52Speaker 1: the head. Yeah. See that was my main concern. I'll
- 23:56Speaker 1: mess out, man. So long time ago, I said, hey, man,
- 24:00Speaker 1: because I'm gonna tell you something. Man, when my father died,
- 24:05Speaker 1: well starting when my mom died. My mom died when
- 24:08Speaker 1: I was forty, From forty to forty eight, that eight
- 24:11Speaker 1: year run right now, I'm glad they didn't have a
- 24:14Speaker 1: phone camera and TikTok, and I had year that media,
- 24:21Speaker 1: that eight year run right now fixed me. I got
- 24:30Speaker 1: so sick of me. I shaved my head at forty
- 24:32Speaker 1: nine and everything. I gotta do something different. Man changed,
- 24:36Speaker 1: all right? So the answer to Sharon is yes, eventually
- 24:41Speaker 1: people changed. Sierra and Queen says, I'm thirty eight and
- 24:46Speaker 1: divorced my ex and his new girlfriend just run at
- 24:49Speaker 1: the apartment above me, and I think he did it
- 24:52Speaker 1: to irritate me. He said he's found the area, he's
- 24:55Speaker 1: fond of the area and the building. Uh so he's
- 24:58Speaker 1: back to stay. Should I move? Do my best to
- 25:01Speaker 1: ignore him. Yeah, you're gonna have to move because they're
- 25:04Speaker 1: gonna be coming through that float in a minute. Oh yeah,
- 25:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he gonna be upstairs making love in combat boots.
- 25:12Speaker 1: He gonna make sure you know what's going. Yeah, you
- 25:15Speaker 1: might love gonna move back? Who does this though? Stupid
- 25:19Speaker 1: you right there out There is no way well out
- 25:21Speaker 1: of did that? No is no way I come in
- 25:26Speaker 1: here with this everything? How you laying it to your
- 25:28Speaker 1: current girlfriend? Yeah, she understand. So why are we moving
- 25:32Speaker 1: over him? Yeah? So wait a minute, So you're trying
- 25:35Speaker 1: to just Oh you're gonna move in the building that
- 25:38Speaker 1: where you used to stay downstairs. Man, please the new
- 25:43Speaker 1: girl stupid and he's stupid. All right, So you're telling
- 25:48Speaker 1: the the ex girlfriend moved. Yeah, all right. Moving on
- 25:53Speaker 1: to Vershawn in Columbia. Vershawn says, my husband brought cakes
- 25:58Speaker 1: home on two seven predications and said his co worker
- 26:02Speaker 1: made them. He said, she is a homebody that loves
- 26:05Speaker 1: to cook, loves to bake. Well, the homebody has a
- 26:08Speaker 1: great body, and I told my husband to stay away
- 26:12Speaker 1: from her. This fool brought another cake home today. Is
- 26:16Speaker 1: this inappropriate or not? Yeah? He can't help it. He
- 26:20Speaker 1: can't help He can't help it. Bought missus Bardiotti coming
- 26:24Speaker 1: up to him with all the cakes. Yeah, and missus Bodiatti.
- 26:31Speaker 1: He can't turn it down. That's how fine she is.
- 26:34Speaker 1: He can't turn it down. Can't that they're wiping told
- 26:37Speaker 1: you bring another cake in him? Right? I had one?
- 26:40Speaker 1: It hit next week. He's a home body, key word body.

- 44:10Speaker 1: you got for us? Enough? Well, Shirley, you know you
- 44:13Speaker 1: gotta give up something for lent. You have to give
- 44:15Speaker 1: up something. Um, some people give up sugar, some people
- 44:21Speaker 1: give up alcohol, some people give up certain foods. I
- 44:25Speaker 1: think I'm gonna give up this man's wife. I'm gonna
- 44:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna give up for lent. Yeah? What what? What? What?
- 44:34Speaker 1: You gotta give up certain things for lent? You know,
- 44:36Speaker 1: things that you are, you know, attracted to, things that
- 44:39Speaker 1: you are connected to, things that that that that you
- 44:42Speaker 1: should not have. I'm going to give up this man's
- 44:46Speaker 1: wife for Lynn. Yeah, that's right here. That's how you
- 44:50Speaker 1: don't get one hundred and one episode stuff like this man.
- 44:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna give up the man's wife for Lynn. Let's go. Okay, though,
- 45:01Speaker 1: Love Hey, I'm trying to reach Dorsey. Yeah, this is
- 45:04Speaker 1: it this cliff Man. I work at the post office
- 45:07Speaker 1: with your wife. How you're doing, bro, I'm doing all right?
- 45:10Speaker 1: Everything cool? Yeah, everything good man? Everything good. Um. Like
- 45:14Speaker 1: I say, my name is cliff Man. I wanted to
- 45:16Speaker 1: reach out and holt you about a couple of things.
- 45:18Speaker 1: If you if you got a minute, you got a minute? Yeah?
- 45:21Speaker 1: Everything all right? With my wife? There's something wrong or
- 45:23Speaker 1: something No, no, no, no, no, no, no, your wife
- 45:25Speaker 1: good Man, your wife good. I wanted to hit you up. Man.
- 45:28Speaker 1: We've been working in the post office quite a while.
- 45:29Speaker 1: We've probably been in the same room a few times. Man.
- 45:32Speaker 1: I don't know if you remember meeting me or not,
- 45:34Speaker 1: but uh, okay. But what I wanted to say, man,
- 45:37Speaker 1: is trying to do better with my life dog and
- 45:40Speaker 1: you know, just just trying to do better, you know
- 45:42Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So you know for LNT Man, I
- 45:45Speaker 1: gave up a few things, you know what I'm saying.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I just thought that would be a good thing, man,
- 45:51Speaker 1: to try to do the things that matter the most
- 45:53Speaker 1: that you addicted to, you know, you want to get
- 45:55Speaker 1: rid of you know what I'm saying. At least for
- 45:57Speaker 1: Lent is what I'm trying to do. You feel me?
- 46:00Speaker 1: Oh hey, I'm kind of confused. But what they got
- 46:04Speaker 1: to do with me? Well, basically, man, I'm giving up
- 46:09Speaker 1: for Lent. You know, I decided to give up messing
- 46:13Speaker 1: around with your wife. You know, because because who whoa
- 46:18Speaker 1: hold on? Man? Hold on, man, I'm at work. I
- 46:22Speaker 1: don't know what you come back, but back up and
- 46:24Speaker 1: rephrase everything you just said. Well, like I say, man,
- 46:28Speaker 1: for Lent, I'm trying to I'm trying to give up
- 46:31Speaker 1: stuff that I'm that I'm addicted to, you know. And
- 46:33Speaker 1: I just said what they got to do with me
- 46:35Speaker 1: and my wife though, and you well, that's what I'm
- 46:37Speaker 1: trying to tell you. Man, I'm trying to give up
- 46:40Speaker 1: messing around with your wife for Lent. I mean, that's
- 46:42Speaker 1: what I help giving up. I'm giving up messing around
- 46:45Speaker 1: with your wife for Lynn. Man talking about man messing
- 46:48Speaker 1: around with my wife? Man, got no time for no games?
- 46:51Speaker 1: Right now? Who this man? Like? What's your name again?
- 46:55Speaker 1: This is cliff Man. I actually worked with her for
- 46:57Speaker 1: the last ten twelve years. But but what I wanted
- 47:00Speaker 1: to really let you know is, you know, her schedule
- 47:02Speaker 1: probably gonna change because what we used to be doing
- 47:05Speaker 1: we ain't doing. So she's probably gonna be coming home
- 47:07Speaker 1: a little bit earlier a thing like that. But I
- 47:09Speaker 1: don't I don't want you getting addicted to it because
- 47:12Speaker 1: you know, after Lena's over, then you know, whip be
- 47:15Speaker 1: back what we used to do. Man, what is you
- 47:17Speaker 1: talking bout? Man? Hold on, it's my wife's going to
- 47:20Speaker 1: be home in a minute. We're gonna talk about all
- 47:22Speaker 1: the yep with me. Man, I'm about to hold on?
- 47:25Speaker 1: What what are you? Are you in the city right now?
- 47:28Speaker 1: Can I can I meet with you right now? Cliff? Right? Okay?
- 47:30Speaker 1: But what I'm what I'm trying to say, Well, like
- 47:32Speaker 1: I'm telling I'm trying to do better. You know, I
- 47:34Speaker 1: gave up trying to do better. That sound like a
- 47:37Speaker 1: bunch of to me. I got something for you and
- 47:39Speaker 1: my wife? True? Okay, Okay, okay, man, I mean, ain't
- 47:43Speaker 1: you feeling me? Don't trying to do better? Though? I
- 47:45Speaker 1: ain't feeling the thing you calling me telling me my wife? Fact,
- 47:49Speaker 1: we need to meet up and talk about this face
- 47:50Speaker 1: to face, Cliff or what you think I mean? We
- 47:53Speaker 1: talked right now? If you want to have a conversation, No, no, no,
- 47:56Speaker 1: you just tell me your address and me and my
- 47:59Speaker 1: wife's just come on over there. How about that? And
- 48:02Speaker 1: we all said I down and have a little power.
- 48:04Speaker 1: I don't know who thank you is, man, but me
- 48:07Speaker 1: and my wife been together over fifteen years and we
- 48:10Speaker 1: ain't never had no problems with no like this like
- 48:13Speaker 1: you telling me on this phone. It sound like a
- 48:15Speaker 1: bunch of crazy to me. But somebody knick gonna today
- 48:20Speaker 1: if the true. So what you need to do? You
- 48:23Speaker 1: need to tell me your name, your number. And I
- 48:25Speaker 1: don't know why you call from this block phone number.
- 48:28Speaker 1: You hear me, man, I'm hearing you. Man, what I'm saying.
- 48:31Speaker 1: The reason for the call was to let you know,
- 48:34Speaker 1: you know, don't get used to her schedule because after
- 48:37Speaker 1: Lyn it's gonna be back to the way it used
- 48:39Speaker 1: to beat. That's all the phone call. Man, what's the
- 48:41Speaker 1: he's you talking about? We'll getting on. Well, what's your
- 48:45Speaker 1: what's your what's your what's your last name? Cliff? I'm
- 48:47Speaker 1: gonna come find you. I'm gonna come see you now, Jack,

- 48:57Speaker 1: block number, Cliff, what's your phone number? Man? Hey, Hey, hey, man, listen,
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm not trying to have no confrontation with you. Man,
- 49:04Speaker 1: it's already a confrontation. You can call my phone from
- 49:07Speaker 1: a block number. I don't know you, You don't know me,
- 49:10Speaker 1: and you're telling me you be my wife? Are you serious?
- 49:14Speaker 1: Did you know she was married? I mean what you mean?
- 49:17Speaker 1: Did you know he was married? Yes? Or no? I
- 49:20Speaker 1: mean yeah, I know? I mean yeah, I knew she
- 49:22Speaker 1: was married. Okay, what that is? You knew that from

- 49:39Speaker 1: not gonna look here. I don't know. I'm not trying
- 49:42Speaker 1: to have no confrontation. I just wanted you to be

- 49:47Speaker 1: not clip. Who the hend is you? Man? Another thing? Man,
- 49:50Speaker 1: I want to know, like I know, I know your
- 49:53Speaker 1: tattoo on your name on her lower back. I've seen that. Uh,
- 49:56Speaker 1: it's a dorsy right there. Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa?
- 50:00Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, man, you're telling me you didn't
- 50:03Speaker 1: seen the tattoo on her back? Is that what you

- 53:33Speaker 1: on type. We got it for you. Here It is
- 53:35Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter, and thank you nephew. Mister today subject. Why
- 53:44Speaker 1: does she need an explanation? Dear Stephen Shirley, My boyfriend
- 53:48Speaker 1: and I have been together three years and he just
- 53:50Speaker 1: moved in with me. We did not want to shack up,
- 53:54Speaker 1: but we're forced to because there was a fire at
- 53:56Speaker 1: his apartments and he had nowhere else to go. When
- 53:59Speaker 1: he asked his mother if he could stay with her
- 54:01Speaker 1: for a minute, she told him that she had a
- 54:04Speaker 1: lot going on and her boyfriend didn't think it was
- 54:06Speaker 1: a good idea. This is the exact reason that I
- 54:10Speaker 1: can't stand his mama. She is fifty five years old
- 54:13Speaker 1: and still a self centered boy, crazy, busybody. I try
- 54:17Speaker 1: not to come between him and his mom, but she
- 54:19Speaker 1: always disappoints him. Whenever she calls him, he jumps to
- 54:23Speaker 1: help her if he needs her. She may not even
- 54:26Speaker 1: call him back for a few days. She's jealous of
- 54:29Speaker 1: his relationship with me and he can't see it. He
- 54:33Speaker 1: and I went ring shopping before he moved in with me,
- 54:36Speaker 1: and she was very upset about it. She asked him
- 54:39Speaker 1: if he was ready and if he really knew me.
- 54:42Speaker 1: He explained to her why he chose me and not
- 54:44Speaker 1: his girlfriend, his ex girlfriend, and he answered a lot
- 54:49Speaker 1: of her stupid questions. I wanted to throw a pillow
- 54:51Speaker 1: at his head for over explaining he bought me a
- 54:55Speaker 1: bike recently, and she asked him why he bought it
- 54:58Speaker 1: and why didn't I buy my own bike? It kills
- 55:01Speaker 1: me how he explains everything to her when he finally
- 55:05Speaker 1: invited When she finally invited us to meet her seventy
- 55:08Speaker 1: year old boyfriend and we couldn't make it somehow, she
- 55:13Speaker 1: said it was my fault and my boyfriend spent thirty
- 55:16Speaker 1: minutes explaining to her that we had other plans. Her
- 55:20Speaker 1: favorite line is, but why I have told him that
- 55:23Speaker 1: a simple no will do, but he can't seem to
- 55:26Speaker 1: say it to his mama, so she's always in our business.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Would I'd be wrong if I tell him to keep
- 55:32Speaker 1: my engagement ring until he gets his mama in line? Well, yeah,
- 55:37Speaker 1: you know you don't want to say that, but I mean,
- 55:40Speaker 1: you won't be wrong because that's how you feel. But
- 55:43Speaker 1: you gotta understand this. If you do that, if you
- 55:45Speaker 1: tell him to keep his engagement ring till he gets
- 55:47Speaker 1: his mama in line, he's gonna think that you want
- 55:52Speaker 1: him to choose between you and his mama. And you
- 55:56Speaker 1: know you're gonna be kicked to the curb. This is
- 55:59Speaker 1: a mama's boy who doesn't realize that you should come first.
- 56:02Speaker 1: If you guys do make it to the altar, you
- 56:05Speaker 1: too need to relax and not nag him about this, okay,
- 56:09Speaker 1: because if he continues this behavior, I'm sure you guys
- 56:12Speaker 1: are gonna break up anyway, you won't be together. You've
- 56:15Speaker 1: already made up your mind about how you feel about
- 56:19Speaker 1: his mamma, and you don't like her at all. You
- 56:21Speaker 1: are irritated because you think he over explains everything to her,
- 56:25Speaker 1: and he does, especially if he's spending thirty minutes doing this.
- 56:30Speaker 1: He doesn't have to do that. That's the part he
- 56:33Speaker 1: doesn't get. This is a lot, is a whole lot,
- 56:37Speaker 1: and three years is a long time to put up
- 56:39Speaker 1: with this. But other than that, you haven't really said
- 56:41Speaker 1: anything bad about this guy. It sounds like he's trying
- 56:44Speaker 1: to do the right thing by you. Since you guys
- 56:47Speaker 1: have just moved in together and are looking at rings
- 56:49Speaker 1: and stuff, you have to concentrate on your own relationship now,
- 56:53Speaker 1: make sure that that foundation is strong. Then if he
- 56:56Speaker 1: keeps running back and telling mom everything, sorry, but this mama,
- 57:00Speaker 1: this boy just isn't for you, and that's the way
- 57:02Speaker 1: you have to look at it and move on. Steve, Well,
- 57:07Speaker 1: I understand what Shirley's saying, but I want to offer
- 57:12Speaker 1: a different look at this because I know you all
- 57:16Speaker 1: are reading this letter and now I'm gonna go through
- 57:18Speaker 1: it again and I may have to come to the
- 57:20Speaker 1: same conclusion Shirley came too. But I don't think he's
- 57:25Speaker 1: a mama's boy. I think it's something else, because you
- 57:30Speaker 1: gotta be careful with that term, because if he was
- 57:33Speaker 1: doing mama's boy stuff, it would be like, oh my god,
- 57:36Speaker 1: this dude is tripping. But these are all conversations he's
- 57:40Speaker 1: having with his mother and the explanations he's giving his mother.
- 57:43Speaker 1: So let me show you what I see. You've been
- 57:46Speaker 1: together with just three years his dude, and he moved
- 57:48Speaker 1: in with YourCause department caught on fire and everything, y'all
- 57:51Speaker 1: didn't want to check up, but she was waiting. So
- 57:53Speaker 1: before he moved in, he asked his mother if she
- 57:59Speaker 1: could he can stay with her for a minute. She
- 58:02Speaker 1: told him that he has she had a lot going
- 58:04Speaker 1: on to her boyfriend didn't think it was a good idea,
- 58:07Speaker 1: and that's why you don't like his mother because you're
- 58:08Speaker 1: saying that every time your boyfriend or fiance needs his mother,
- 58:14Speaker 1: she's never there. And then every time she calls him,
- 58:16Speaker 1: he jumps and goes running. Well, see that's not a
- 58:20Speaker 1: mama's boy. Mama's boy relationship is a little bit tighter
- 58:24Speaker 1: than that. They can't be separated. They always together. He
- 58:28Speaker 1: go over there every day. All this hill, I think
- 58:31Speaker 1: it's something else. She's fifty five, she's steal self. Send
- 58:34Speaker 1: a boy, crazy, busybody, and you don't want to get
- 58:38Speaker 1: between him and his mom. Shirley made a good point, though,
- 58:42Speaker 1: and I'll tell you what that is. Shirley made a
- 58:45Speaker 1: great point. Now whenever she calls, he jumps to help him.
- 58:48Speaker 1: If he needs her, she may not even call back
- 58:50Speaker 1: for a few days. See that's not a mama's boy.
- 58:53Speaker 1: That relationship goes both ways. She always want him to
- 58:57Speaker 1: come hold her, bring her suit, sit up, watch TV?
- 59:01Speaker 1: All that? Take me here, Take me that ask a
- 59:04Speaker 1: mama's boy. She's jealous of his relationship with you, lady,
- 59:08Speaker 1: and he can't see it out y'all. Wouldn't ring shopping
- 59:11Speaker 1: before he moved in with you? She was upset about it.
- 59:14Speaker 1: She asked him if he was ready, and he really
- 59:16Speaker 1: knew me. Now, the woman is a hater. She is
- 59:21Speaker 1: self sinner and she's a hater. So that's what I
- 59:27Speaker 1: see so far. And he explained to her why he
- 59:31Speaker 1: chose me and not his ex girlfriend, and he answered
- 59:34Speaker 1: a lot. I wish I knew how old he was.
- 59:36Speaker 1: That would have helped me in this letter. But I
- 59:39Speaker 1: don't cheat anything, and he answered a lot of her questions.
- 59:44Speaker 1: I wanted to throw a pillar in his head for
- 59:46Speaker 1: over explaining. So when we come back, I'm gonna show
- 59:50Speaker 1: you what I really thinking, how you might be able
- 59:52Speaker 1: to solve All right, coming up at twenty three minutes
- 59:55Speaker 1: after the hour, will recap today's Strawberry letter and have
- 59:58Speaker 1: part two of your response coming up Steve right after this.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: You're listening, all right? Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Strubberry letter. The subject why does she need an explanation? Uh,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: this woman is having trouble with her fiancee mama, because
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: she's a busy body, she is very self centered, and
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: she's a hater. And everything he does, she asked why
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: the woman in the letter that wrote the letter feels
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: like he over explains before they moved in. Because he
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: had a fine in his apartment. He has his mama
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: to move in. She said no because she had a
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: lot going on in her seventy year old boyfriend said
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: he ain't think it was a good idea, all right.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: That's what the woman who wrote the letter don't like
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: about his mama because every time he needs his mama,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: she's never there. But whenever she wants something, he jumps
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: to it. This is a boy seeking his mother's approve.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: This is a classy case of my mom can do
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: no wrong. This is the classic case of I pay
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the ultimately ultimate homage to my mother. That's all this
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: is because when she does him wrong, he still tries
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: to do the right thing by her. When he needs
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: her and she's not there, he's always there for her.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: He's extremely respectable of the son mother relationship, and now
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: she takes full advantage of So. I don't think you
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: have a mama's boy on your hand. I think you
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: have a classic behavior of a boy wanting his mother's approval,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: seeking it even as an adult. And that's what you're
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: dealing with him because he's missed that in several moments
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: doing his life and he's constantly seeking it. And if
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: you're constantly seeking it, all I ever wanted for my
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: mother and father was them to be proud of me
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: till they died. I just wanted to know they was
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: proud of him when I disappointed him. Oh man, I
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: tried to fix it your husband, boyfriend? Is that classic?
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: My mom can do no wrong. I'm seeking her approval
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: and she's taken an advantage of you. So then asked him,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: why did he buy your ring? Are you sure he's ready?
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: She tries to act like she's concerned. That's just to
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: keep him on the string. So when she needs something,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: he hopped to it. All it's just false concerned. Here's
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: another false concern. He bought you a bike? She called
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: and want to know why you bought her a bike?
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Why she came by her own bike? What? What? What?
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: What kind of woman doesn't require or want her son
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: to take care of a person the way a woman
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: is supposed to be taken care of, or to be
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: kind to a woman. You would think your mother would say, boy,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: that was so nice. She bought that girl for that bike.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: She'll hope she appreciated. No, no, no, what you buy
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: her bike? Bo? Why can't she buy her own? This
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: is a classic woman who's taking advantage of her son,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: manipulating him, keeping him on the strength. Then she invited
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: us over to meet her seventy year old boyfriend. Y'all
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: couldn't make it. She got mad, and the boyfriend's spend
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: thirty minutes is playing into her that y'all had other plans.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Her favorite line is, but why see that constantly keeps
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: him on the defensive. She is a master manipulator. Your
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: husband or fiance is not a mama's boy. I've told
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: him the simple no would do, but he can't seem
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: to say that to his mama, so she's always in
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: our business. What I'd be wrong if I tell him
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: to keep my engagement ring until he gets his mom
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: in line. Shirley's absolutely correct. Shirley's absolutely correct in telling
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you that if you do this, you're saying to him,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: choose between me and your mama, and you don't want
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: to put the man in that position. I would not
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: tell him to keep his wedding with but I would
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: learn to help him deal with what he's dealing with,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: which is a manipulative, self sinning hater of a mama.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: And the best way to do that is to make
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: getting to your fiance just a little bit more difficult
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: for her. Now, what you could do after you get
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: the engagement ring is you could call her and have
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: a talk with her, which is going to do no good,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: but it will at least put her own notice that
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: you are hip to it. And I would suggest that
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: the conversation goes something like this. Since we don't have
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: a name, let's just use Heffer. Look, Mama, Hefer. Well, well,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: we don't know her name, so I'm just saying for
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: just purpose is to move the story, Alonge, We're just
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: gonna use Heffer as the name. So just say, listen, Helfer,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: you know, or he or halg or whatever her name makes.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: You use Halgar because something to sound like a hateful
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: ass and hagar olga. Oh, Gween, there's a lot of
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: hateful ass Guen. A lot of guens hate Gwen ass
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: who used to beat my ass. But that big ass
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Gwen Gueen, you beat my ass. I was still sick
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: of being a little boy. And so just say, hey, look,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I just want you to know that you have a really,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: really wonderful son who loves you and tries to take
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: care of you. And I know you're taking advantage of him,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: and I know you don't really care for me, But
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I love your son and I'm gonna help him get
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: to where he needs to be in life. And I
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: wish you really wouldn't interfere with that, because he has
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: the potential to become something really, really great if he
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: had the right support system, and I intend fully on
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: being that now. I wish we could get on the
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: same page as adult women, but if we can't, I
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: just want you to know that I'm on to you
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: have fun. I cannot do that, all right? Leave us
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: your comments until on Instagram and at Steve Harvey FM,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. Now.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is Junior and Sports Talk. Right
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show. It is time now
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: for Junior and Sports Talk. Junior. What you got? Well,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: this is a crazy story. Aaron Rodgers has resurface from
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: his dark retreat. He was in a cave. Yeah, he
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: shouldn't even told nobody he did in total darkness. They
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: sit in total darkness for full days that he said
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: he did this to figure out where he's at in
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: his life and where he want to play at NIXT
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: or do he want to retire? But I don't see
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: why you would go full days in a cave and
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: sit nowhere just for four days in total darkness to
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: make a decision what I would do? Well, Junior, I
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: hear in my mama's basement for four days in complete Yeah,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: but you had a reason for Yeah, I do understand
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: that folk day retreat. But that's what he was doing. Yeah,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: got packers was to be looking forward. Man. Congratulations, man,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: we're waiting on your decisions. See where you're gonna play
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: that next season? Also, maybe one say congratulations Russell Westbrook.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: He has now signed with the La Clippers. He was
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: released from the Jazz on the buyout and now he's
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: going to the Clippers. Man, he's gonna be with Paul
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: George and Kawhi Lennard. I don't know if they're gonna
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: have everything they need to get to get championship. I
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: don't know. Don't see it happening. Also, man, you know,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: you know Phoenix got Kevin Durant. Now he's got Kevin Durant.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Do they become the favorite to win it all? Now? No? No, no, no?
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: What with Chris Paul, Chris Paul, Devin Man. I love
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Chris Paul, I love the boy Adrian the Big Center.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: I like it, but I don't think they got enough
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: time to jail. By time they get it together that
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be seasoned. You know, I gotta put
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: that season and on the Okay, well, what about this
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: up Kyrie Irvin in Dallas? You know he's he's in Dallas. Now,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: that ain't gonna do. They don't have enough time either.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, when you watch this dude play,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Kyrie Irvin is one of the most special players in
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: the game today. If he could just stay consistent, just
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: take the shots. Get your ass on the floor. I
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: ain't talking about the basketball shott. You get vaccine or
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: something having causes. Quits caring about that and all that.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: That ain't your damn business. Were getting shot for eating
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: skittles and wearing HOODI is what is you marching for?
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Their ass? Fat? We gotta enough our own causes. Quitch
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: caring by their body stock cool, I say it, but
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: stay with us. We got printed a march close. Are
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: we all right? Junior? Thank you, Thank you for sports talk.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Black students
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: in Ohio are accused of committing a hate crime after
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: a game on the playground goes terribly wrong. Wait to
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: hear this, We'll be back right in Ohio. Yeah, on
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: the playground. That's where my whole career start. You're listening
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: to show in Springfield, Ohio, police are invested seven just
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: outside Columbus Indiapolis, Indiana. Go ahead, shop, you know where
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: it is. Okay, Springfield, Ohio police are investigating whether it's
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: so called playground game should be classified as a hate crime.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Police were called to the Kenwood Elementary School earlier this
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: month after a group of black students gathered white classmates
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: on the playground and forced them to say black lives
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: matter or be assaulted as punishment. Okay. Multiple students were
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: allegedly punched, dragged, and chased down for refusing to comply,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: while those that did say black lives matter were recorded
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: on video. School officials say they initially delayed reporting the
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: incident to the parents while they conducted their own investigation.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: One white male parent stated to reporters, quote, I'm more
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: upset about the assault part of it, of the children
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: being forced down on the ground by other children, not
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: so much of making them say black lives matter, because
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: we you know, all lives do matter. The school staff
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: should have recognized the behavior and the problem before it
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: got that far. So here's a question, do you think
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: what do you think about this? Could this be categorized
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: as a hate crime? Well, you know, this is unbelievable.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: First of all, well you know it is, yeah, I mean,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: you know they're gonna call it, you know, racism, um,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: you know. And then you got to come on, now,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: these as black kids doing something some white kids. Ain't
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: nobody fitting to get away with this. Surprised that it
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: was elementary school kids though, didn't that that's pretty young too? Yeah,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: I think so all that's been happening to me at
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: my school. So huh we did have level Well yeah,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: elementary school wasn't really elementary school. We damned me a
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: high school team. We was elevated. I mean, we're talking
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: elementary though, you know, surely, I know. I mean it
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: seems appalling to people that people this young, but they're
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: emulating what they see on what do you think what
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: they see now? That's definitely very immolating the news. They're
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: immolating police brutality. They reversing it, you know, get on
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: the ground, say Black Lives matter. Bullying has been happening
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: for a long time, Yeah, very long time. And what
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: they've done is they've attached a purpose to the bullying.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: And I think what this is, this is a glorified bullying,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: and they try to apply a purpose to it, you know,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: and I just they're gonna get in trouble for this one. Yeah.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: This is just as bad as the girls with the
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: spray paint that you talked about a week or two ago. Yeah,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: just as bad, absolutely, the white girls talking about Yeah
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I'm black and I'm proud. Yeah, you know, they were older,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: at least at least they were older. Yeah. Well, the
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: children who did this went about it to run. That's
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: chasing them down and all that. You know, it's supposed
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: to be a game. But well, i'd have been on.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I'd have just did the Black Lives Matter slogan. I'd
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: read the pay for work, Get what's my line? What
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: y'all needs? I would have just done my line, even
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: if I don't even mean it. I would have just
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: done my lines. Man, we ain't got you ain't gotta
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: beat my ass. I ain't got to lay down. What
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: is my line though, black lives matter more than anybody.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Yes on three two one hit it. Yeah, and and
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: that would have been it for me. But it kind
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: of seems a little up like what elementary. That's a
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: bit much Springfield, Ohio. Well, at least you know it's
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: out now. Parents to know that this is going on
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: on the school pay playground and maybe they can do
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: something to stop it. And yeah, the police are involved.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: You come up in right now, this is this is
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: over because the black parents has got to school, go
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: to school for this. This incident is over. This game done,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: This game will get played. No, that's true, that's true.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: All right, thank you guys. Coming up at twenty minutes
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: after the out coming up at twenty minutes after the hour,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: today we're shining the black excellent spotlight on Howard University
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: in DC. Howard's swim and dive team is officially get
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: this guy's officially the first all black swim team to
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: grace the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. Wow, that is
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: major right there. Yeah, Howard's coach Nick ask, you said,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: this is about our mission as a university and the
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: message we want to send as an HBCU. This isn't
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: a bunch of black people in a pool. It's young
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: black men and women succeeding in a sport that for
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: years has shut them out of this experience. So we
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: have to say congratulations to Howard swim and dive team
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: and coach as Q. Wow. Wow, right then that's big.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: I want to make sure we pick up that cover
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: about magazine right now. You told me and this pool
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: you got something to see. You can get your cameras
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: out of my goodness. It ain't the breaststroke, it's the
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: death stroke. I can't do it. You ain't gonna leave.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: How much water I pushes out that pool? You damny
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: got you damny got to refill it. I'm splashing so
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: damn man, I ain't nothing to see, no water. Well
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: something in now. There ain't a person nowhere around it.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Don't know somebody in that water that don't need to
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: be in there, and that would be you. All right?
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: play a round of would you rather? Right after this
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: you're listening to the same hardy morning show, and it's
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: time now for a round of would you rather? Would
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: you rather pay twenty five thousand dollars monthly to lie freely?
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Or get five million dollars to never lie again? Five million? Yeah,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: never lie again? What was the first one? Twenty five
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: thousand dollars a month to lie freely? Do I pay
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: it or get the twenty five You get the twenty
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: five five million lie? You pay twenty five million, twenty
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: five thousand dollars monthly just to lie whenever you want,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: or you get five million to never lie again. I'm
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: gonna get you're lying, right, I did it? Yeah? I
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: mean fire me. I'm gonna tell you the truth time
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: like yo, ass, that's the damn truth. Five million? Say
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: hey man, five that right now. I'm sexy. I'm not
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: ugly at all. There's no such a thing as an
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: ugly ass sexy person. Because even if you got a
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: nice walk, when you turn around and we see you
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: all right. Moving on after that explanation, would you rather
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: use one washcloth for your faith and your butt for
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: a week or skip a bath? That town got nasty? No, No,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna skip bath. Yeah, I don't want to skip
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: that bad, but I'm gonna skip that bath. But that time,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: we're not doing that. Oh no, that is no weight.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I can run this town through my crack and I
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: can't even hold it up there by my face. I
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: can't even hold I can't dangle it in front of
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: me to look at it. No, No, I don't know
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: the verocity that's on that washcloth up there by my face.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: If I run across my face, I won't have eyebrows
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: or I'm pretty sure don't crack or burn off face.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Hell yeah, but it might help with acting because it
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: to wipe a But yeah, I'll tell you now, all right,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: would you rather I get the washing my butt? I
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: have a separate black kennel with live in line all
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: the time. Michael and I it down now for three
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: days of standing by it? All right, that's today's rounded.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: When you rap, we'll come back closed out the show
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: with the one and only Steve Harvey right at you
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: keep leaving on it. Two last night you're listening to
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show. Here we are a last break of

- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I just I just leave my opening in the front information.

- 1:22:32Speaker 1: as I do. So I keep a bag, PA, don't
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: know about that. I gotta outfits. I got to the
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: winds the third. Yeah, you had your bag with you
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: while you on the podcast, your little bag sitting up
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: there on the table next to your Hey, y'all, listen
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: to me. I got some closing remarks for you today.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: I wanted to help you all understand something about haters,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: because most people have them now. Hateful people don't have haters.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: Have you noticed that hateful people don't have haters. Only
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: good people have haters. That's an amazing thing. Man. Haters
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: don't have haters. Now. If a hater has a hater,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: it's another hater, and which is like compounds it because
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: now they just add each other and it's just ridiculous.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: But let me help you understand something about haters. Man,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: people say Steve one I was talking on family feud
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: stage other than it, says Steve, how do you deal
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: with all the haters you have? I said, number one,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: I don't respond. They said, well, how can you just
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: ignore it? I said, but why would I not ignore it?
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: What does it do for me to respond to someone
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: who don't even know me, ain't never met me. Most
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: of my haters I've never met. I don't know who
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: they are. Most of the people that talk about me
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: ain't never met me, have never had a conversation with me.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: So why would I stop what I'm doing to address
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: a person that don't even have my number? You don't
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: even have my sale number. You know how an important
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: you are to me If you don't have my number.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: You know the level of significance you maintain in my life. Now,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: if you're all the president, you ain't got my number.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: I understand that, But I'm not hated by people who
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: got something going on. I'm hated by people who ain't
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: got nothing going on. So the first thing to help
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: you understand something about haters is don't respond. Now, let
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: me tell you something about haters that you may never
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: have thought about. Haters hate cause of hate. Listen to
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: me carefully. Haters hate because of hate, and it's usually
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: directed at someone who asks what they want and hated
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: that they don't. Did you hear what I said? Again?
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Hate is usually directed as someone who has what they
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: want and they hate that they don't have it. You
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: have a hater because someone is hating on you because
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: you have something they want and they hate the fact
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: that they don't have it. Haters hate because of hate. Man,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: do you understand that? So when you hate somebody hate
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: on you, when you see him, smile because you know
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: you got something they want and they hate their fractitation.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Oh man, hey god, good? Yeah, y'all have great for
