Ghost Etiquette 101: Boundaries, Sage, and Saying “Hey, Fred” | Haunted AF · Your Dark Companion Podcast

• 0:00:01 - (Mike): What? 0:00:03 - (Rebecca): False start. 0:00:04 - (Mike): Oh, okay, okay. So there will be a countdown. Nobody would have thought that I would be the one. Reiner, Sports talk. Baseball, Baseball, baseball, baseball. Oh, with a big mic. Oh, okay. All right. Yeah, okay, now I get it. Isn't that a lightning strike, boys? What happened over there, Grego? We had a little lightning strike right outside the window. All right, all right. Here's a tip for all these Americano league teams. Don't. 0:00:56 - (Rebecca): Wait, you said tip? 0:00:57 - (Mike): Yeah, tip. 0:00:57 - (Rebecca): Okay. 0:00:57 - (Mike): With a P. Keep jamming the ticket, colon. Nothing but a big Gen X jerk off. This is a cool night. Or what? Although somebody would hear that. 0:01:08 - (Julie): Go. 0:01:09 - (Mike): Bullshit. I'm back. That means go. Okay. I'm used to a five, four, three, two, one kind of thing. But you don't always get what you want in this world, and I didn't get that. So. Gonna have to fight through it somehow. Hi. What's going on, kids? Everybody cool today? Everybody hot, hip, happening? 0:01:46 - (Julie): No. 0:01:46 - (Mike): Ready to roll into another episode of Little your Dark Companion? This is the 25th September. We have five more days in this month and then real fall starts. Now. Delkos and Jesse tell us that we're already there, that fall starts in September. I beg to differ. 0:02:12 - (Rebecca): Agreed. 0:02:13 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:02:13 - (Mike): September's hot. Yeah, Unfailingly hot. Fall is not supposed to be hot. 0:02:19 - (Rebecca): No, not at all. 0:02:21 - (Mike): So what I've done in my own feeble little brain is I've quadranned the year off into four three month segments. 0:02:32 - (Rebecca): Okay? 0:02:33 - (Mike): And when October rolls around, we're about to start the last segment of the year. 0:02:38 - (Rebecca): Okay. 0:02:40 - (Mike): And that's just the way I think of it. That's when fall starts. 0:02:43 - (Julie): Okay. At the end. 0:02:45 - (Mike): Yeah. And that's that winter rolls around in January. 0:02:48 - (Rebecca): Yeah, I agree. I totally agree with that. 0:02:51 - (Mike): Rebecca's on board. Here. Look who we have. We have the Haunted AF girls again. 0:02:58 - (Julie): Yes. 0:02:59 - (Rebecca): And we're twinning today. 0:03:00 - (Julie): I know. 0:03:00 - (Mike): Boy, you guys are. 0:03:02 - (Rebecca): It was not on purpose. 0:03:04 - (Mike): I don't believe that. 0:03:05 - (Julie): Maybe. 0:03:05 - (Rebecca): I swear. We're just great minds. Think alike. 0:03:09 - (Julie): Yeah. And we're shameless self promoters. Absolutely. So we have to remind everybody we do have actual merch. Yeah. 0:03:14 - (Mike): Yes. 0:03:15 - (Rebecca): And a podcast to listen to. 0:03:16 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:03:17 - (Mike): You've been through the rigors of radio. So you are a shameless self promoter. 0:03:21 - (Rebecca): That's right. We are homeowners. 0:03:23 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:03:23 - (Mike): Yeah. Well, this is episode 157. Is this 7? Is that right? Okay. Cool. 0:03:36 - (Rebecca): Look at you trucking along. 0:03:37 - (Mike): Yeah. 157 of these bad boys. 0:03:40 - (Julie): That's a lot. 0:03:41 - (Rebecca): That is a lot. 0:03:42 - (Mike): And these are The Haunted AF girls, they are back in with us for a second time. Julie Fisk is over there. 0:03:50 - (Julie): Hi. 0:03:51 - (Mike): And Rebecca Black, that's me, is here. 0:03:54 - (Rebecca): Hello. 0:03:55 - (Mike): And they do a podcast of their own, the Haunted AF Podcast. Now, why don't we start by letting you do a little shameless self promotion here. 0:04:07 - (Rebecca): Okay. 0:04:08 - (Mike): And you tell us what Haunted AF is and just how this thing came about. 0:04:15 - (Julie): So, gosh, I'm. Now I'm wondering, how many episodes have we done? 0:04:19 - (Rebecca): That's a good question. 0:04:20 - (Julie): We got started in 2019, so we're coming up on seven years now. And yeah, a long ass time. 0:04:26 - (Rebecca): I do not want to go and count. 0:04:28 - (Julie): I know. It's been. It's been a lot. 0:04:29 - (Rebecca): And then if you include like the Patreon stuff. 0:04:32 - (Julie): Yeah, that's like double yes. Yeah. We should be gazillionaires. 0:04:36 - (Rebecca): We should be. But we're not. 0:04:37 - (Julie): But we're not. 0:04:38 - (Rebecca): We're poor and we're whoring ourselves out today. 0:04:41 - (Julie): But we love ghost stories. And so we just started the podcast so people could send in their ghost stories. People contact us from all over the world. They record themselves, they film themselves, and they just tell us whatever spooky shit's been happening in their lives. So we have ghosts and UFOs, Bigfoot, glitches in the Matrix, true crime adjacent stuff. We have all kinds of crazy stories. 0:05:04 - (Rebecca): And it started like, with our friends. Like, first of all, Julie and I were definitely into ghosts and spirit. Spirit. 0:05:11 - (Mike): So this is something you guys have had an affinity for for a long time. 0:05:15 - (Rebecca): Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. Way before the podcast, I think, even started. Like, we both had kind of our personal experiences. And then one day Julie's like, hey, what do you think about a ghosty podcast? And I'm like, done. I'm in. Love it. And we started with all of our friends, having them on the podcast to tell their stories about their ghost encounters and experiences. And then it's really just branched out into this beautiful worldwide thing because, like, we have listeners in London and Australia and all over the world. 0:05:40 - (Rebecca): Yeah, Bangladesh. 0:05:41 - (Julie): That's a new one. Places. 0:05:43 - (Mike): Yeah, you guys are huge. There's no two ways about it. You are. 0:05:46 - (Julie): We have a big following and it is a lot of fun. And she and I were longtime friends. We used to do movie reviews together when we were with CBS Radio. And so, yeah, we just kind of stuck together and kept doing things. We. But we get along really well and we like working together. 0:06:02 - (Rebecca): We're also very like minded. So I think when we see something that could potentially Be really great. We both just sort of chomp down on it and like, went all in. 0:06:11 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:06:11 - (Mike): You just kind of look at each other and you both know that. 0:06:14 - (Rebecca): Yeah, yeah. 0:06:16 - (Mike): That this is for you. 0:06:16 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:06:17 - (Julie): Yeah. Well, and Rebecca's a really hard worker. I mean, like. 0:06:21 - (Rebecca): And dawg, she's the hard worker, not me. I do nothing for the podcast. I show up, sit down and read. 0:06:27 - (Julie): That's it. But you're real good at that. 0:06:29 - (Rebecca): It doesn't matter. 0:06:30 - (Julie): No, but she and I both, you know, we're former radio people, so we've worked with some really challenging people over the years. And, you know, I mean, sometimes in radio you do a lot of work and you don't get much appreciation for it and stuff. And so she and I kind of came out of that where we both will just like work our asses off to get things done. So it's great to work with somebody like that. 0:06:53 - (Rebecca): I'll second that. I agree. 0:06:55 - (Mike): Yeah. I mean, it's. If you've got a like minded soul who sees things somewhat the way you do, then you've got something really, really good. 0:07:07 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:07:07 - (Mike): You guys have a really, really good thing going with. 0:07:10 - (Rebecca): I think both of us saw there was definite potential in the avenue of ghost storytelling and podcasting. We just haven't quite figured out the complete avenue yet. No, we still see the potential. We still see it. 0:07:24 - (Julie): And it gives us an excuse to go out and like, creep around totally haunted old buildings or stay in weird hotels in Galveston or snoop around abandoned areas. 0:07:33 - (Rebecca): We do that too. 0:07:34 - (Julie): And. Yeah. And we. We balance each other out pretty well. Because she'll like, fall for it real hard, real fast and she'll be like, oh my God. 0:07:41 - (Rebecca): Because I want it so bad. 0:07:43 - (Julie): Yeah. So I can kind of. 0:07:44 - (Mike): You're a little bit more of a hard sell. 0:07:46 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:07:46 - (Julie): Yeah. I'll come in and all over it real quick. But. 0:07:49 - (Rebecca): But it is. I will say though, the more stories we hear, the more I'm like, eh, that's not real. 0:07:53 - (Julie): Yeah. After. It takes a lot now to kind of like spook us. They're going to scare us for sure. Yeah. 0:07:59 - (Mike): When was the last time you were really spooked? 0:08:02 - (Rebecca): Oh, God, that's tough. 0:08:05 - (Julie): Oh, man. 0:08:07 - (Mike): I probably let. Let me change that a little bit. 0:08:10 - (Julie): Okay. 0:08:10 - (Mike): Let me alter that. What does it take? Give me something that it takes to really spook you. What was something that really spooked you? 0:08:19 - (Julie): My husband likes to hide in, like, dark areas of the house and scare me especially. Both of our daughters are off at college now and so I'll just be, like, running through the house at night to get something, and I'll hear. Just hear this. And sometimes he's, like, in the corner. Sometimes he's, like, right behind me. So I think he's trying to keep. Kill me, honestly, like, just give me a heart attack. 0:08:42 - (Julie): But I think, like, honestly, I think my house is a little haunted. And I think the ghosts are mad that both of our girls are off at college now. So there have been a few times where I'll walk in the house and, like, there will be a door just hanging open that shouldn't be open or something random just sitting in the middle of the floor, like, a piece of the girl's clothing. Of course, they're not there, so. And then I'll get chills all over, like, what the hell was that? It's probably the cats. 0:09:06 - (Julie): But it's still. That's been scaring me lately. 0:09:09 - (Rebecca): I think it's funny that you brought up that your husband loves to scare you. My husband and I also love to scare one another. We don't have kids. We have a lot of time on our hands, so it's just an endless cycle of the two of us trying to scare the other one to death. 0:09:22 - (Julie): You are trying to kill each other. Yeah. 0:09:24 - (Rebecca): Like, I. Like, I don't know what else marriage is. I just thought it was scaring each other over and over again. 0:09:29 - (Julie): Until you die. 0:09:30 - (Rebecca): Yeah, until you die. 0:09:31 - (Mike): You know, I. I've heard a few weird noises in this little hovel. 0:09:37 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:09:37 - (Mike): That I haven't been able to tell what they were or where they were coming from or anything. 0:09:44 - (Julie): What did it sound like? 0:09:45 - (Rebecca): Yeah, I was like, what do you mean? 0:09:47 - (Mike): You know, thing that went bump in the night, you know? 0:09:51 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:09:51 - (Mike): Or just a. It sounded like maybe there's something in here that's being moved. Oh, like a sound? Like if you were to pick something up. 0:10:02 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:10:03 - (Rebecca): Like a ghost was trying to try on your Rangers. 0:10:05 - (Mike): Yeah. Yeah. 0:10:06 - (Rebecca): Oh, I know, Right? Here, play with it. I already did. 0:10:09 - (Julie): You really? Can we do that? Does it come off? 0:10:12 - (Rebecca): Yeah, I tried it on. I had it on while you were in the bathroom. 0:10:14 - (Julie): I don't know. 0:10:14 - (Mike): I've never messed with it too much. 0:10:16 - (Julie): Oh. 0:10:16 - (Rebecca): Oh. So we're the ones. 0:10:18 - (Mike): It is for decoration only, but. 0:10:20 - (Julie): Oh, sorry. 0:10:22 - (Mike): Go ahead, Go ahead. 0:10:23 - (Julie): This is very cool. 0:10:24 - (Mike): Knock yourself out. Wear it for the whole podcast if you want. 0:10:27 - (Rebecca): You have too many toys. 0:10:29 - (Julie): I know. Like, you have too many toy. 0:10:32 - (Mike): I know. I'm a man of many toys. 0:10:33 - (Julie): Actually, can we talk about Mike Reiner for a Minute? Sure. Because we need to talk about some of your guests. You've been. You've had so many great people on. First of all, Mark Cuban recently, which. 0:10:44 - (Rebecca): I'm so jealous of. 0:10:46 - (Julie): Me, too. He and I used to be friends. 0:10:49 - (Rebecca): You and Mark? 0:10:50 - (Julie): We were sort of kind of friends. 0:10:52 - (Rebecca): And you didn't introduce me? 0:10:53 - (Julie): No. Well, I didn't know you was back in the Jagger and Julie days. He used to come in when he very first bought the Mavs. He would come into the Edge, and we would make fun of his haircuts, and, like, it was great. And then. Then he got famous. And I remember running into him at Fox 4 one day, and this is back then. And he saw me, and he went, hey, Julie. And I was like, damn, Mark Cuban knows me. But recently, like, our kids used to play some of the same sports together. 0:11:18 - (Julie): And so he would be at the, like, volleyball games and. Or softball or whatever. And of course, everybody's like, oh. And I thought, like, I'm gonna impress everybody. Yeah. And, man, no, I. He did not know me at all. I didn't say anything. Thank God. I just kind of, like, walked over and tried to make eye contact. 0:11:34 - (Rebecca): Oh. I would have forced my way into that and been like, Mark Cuban. You know me. We used to hang out. And you will remember me right now. 0:11:41 - (Julie): But to be fair, like, the golden get to me is Jesse Hawila. I have such a crush on that man. I am so in love with Jesse. When I was on Twitter back in the day, I would, like, flirt with him, and I would send him stuff, and he would respond like, we had a thing there for a little while, and I tried to get him on because I feel like Jesse Ho Wheel has got, like, some stories. Bigfoot. He's got UFO something. 0:12:05 - (Mike): He probably does. 0:12:06 - (Julie): I feel like he does. I know he was a metalhead in his youth. 0:12:09 - (Mike): Yes. 0:12:09 - (Julie): I know too much. 0:12:10 - (Mike): He still is. 0:12:11 - (Rebecca): You do? It's a little creepy how much you know. 0:12:13 - (Julie): It is creepy. It's more than a little. He should be afraid. 0:12:15 - (Rebecca): Yeah, maybe. 0:12:16 - (Mike): Let me tell you something about Jesse. However cool you may think he is, he's way, way cooler. 0:12:25 - (Rebecca): That's just cry. 0:12:26 - (Julie): That's. Would you tell. Tell him to come on our podcast, please? 0:12:31 - (Mike): I will. 0:12:32 - (Julie): Which we have. We would have. You want. You don't have a ghost story. 0:12:36 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:12:36 - (Julie): We had to have Rebecca on last year. 0:12:38 - (Rebecca): Yeah, because you didn't have one. I remember that. 0:12:40 - (Julie): Yes, maybe you do now. 0:12:42 - (Rebecca): You told joke ones last time. 0:12:44 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:12:44 - (Rebecca): I remember. You reeled us in. 0:12:46 - (Julie): Yeah. It was the hook. 0:12:51 - (Mike): That'S my big ghost story. 0:12:52 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:12:53 - (Julie): I only have one, so maybe you do, though. Maybe your house is haunted now, or you have a raccoon, but let's just say your house is haunted. 0:13:02 - (Mike): And, you know, I really like to. Would rather think of it that way. 0:13:05 - (Rebecca): Sure. 0:13:06 - (Mike): Than having a raccoon. 0:13:07 - (Rebecca): Yeah, the ghost is less scary than the raccoon. 0:13:10 - (Mike): Oh, the ghost is. I don't know if he's less scary, but he's more desirable. 0:13:14 - (Julie): Yeah. Less expensive, for sure. 0:13:15 - (Rebecca): But raccoons are real cute. 0:13:17 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:13:18 - (Rebecca): Cute little trash pandas. 0:13:19 - (Julie): Yeah. Until they're in your house, they're cute to look at. 0:13:22 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:13:23 - (Mike): Moving your furniture, once you start looking at them and they get a little too close to you, then they're not so cute anymore. 0:13:28 - (Julie): They have those hands. 0:13:30 - (Rebecca): Yeah, they do. 0:13:30 - (Julie): They have. 0:13:31 - (Rebecca): They definitely have some hands and claws. 0:13:32 - (Mike): Well, they got some teeth, too. 0:13:34 - (Rebecca): Real quick. Let's just. Do you have any animals? Could it be an animal in here that's moving stuff around that you can. 0:13:39 - (Mike): I know. Dogs. No. 0:13:41 - (Rebecca): Cats. Okay, just checking. 0:13:43 - (Julie): Well, I. I would suggest. And because people. People reach out to us all the time, believe it or not, and are like, I think my house is haunted. What do I do? So I think, though, if you're just having, like, a little bit of activity, I would start talking to it and. And just see if you can, like. 0:13:57 - (Rebecca): Stir it up a little. 0:13:58 - (Julie): Stir it up and get some more activity going. 0:14:00 - (Mike): I do. I mean, every time it happens. 0:14:02 - (Rebecca): What do you say to it, though? Are you sweet? 0:14:04 - (Mike): I say, hey, is that not right? 0:14:10 - (Julie): No, I think that. 0:14:10 - (Rebecca): I think it's fine. 0:14:11 - (Mike): Is that not the way to communicate. 0:14:13 - (Rebecca): What comes after the hay? 0:14:16 - (Mike): I start walking around. I start walking through the house and looking around for it. 0:14:25 - (Julie): Yeah. Yeah. 0:14:26 - (Mike): And I really don't say anything after that. Once I realize that. That I'm out of my mind and there's nobody here. 0:14:32 - (Rebecca): I have the greatest visual of you. Like, all the lights out, you're wandering around your house, like, maybe in your underwear, like, where's that ghost? 0:14:40 - (Mike): That could happen. 0:14:41 - (Rebecca): Hey, I know you like to take your pants off, so. 0:14:44 - (Julie): Yeah, that's true. Wait a minute. Should we, like, explain that, or is that. That's like a running joke. 0:14:50 - (Rebecca): That's a running joke on your podcast, right? That pants. 0:14:52 - (Mike): That's the way it ends. 0:14:53 - (Julie): Yeah. Okay. Okay, good. 0:14:55 - (Mike): No, yeah, it was really hot that day, and I've been, you know, doing. 0:14:58 - (Julie): Stuff all night long, and it was. 0:15:00 - (Rebecca): Time for me to take. 0:15:02 - (Mike): To walk back there and take my pants off. 0:15:04 - (Rebecca): I understand it, man. The older I get, the more I understand wanting to take your pants off. Yeah. I mean, just live without pants. No, just. We should just go to the pantsless society. 0:15:14 - (Julie): Do you want to just do it right now? 0:15:16 - (Rebecca): No, because it would be not pretty, me trying to get these jeans off right now and you imagine the. 0:15:21 - (Julie): The imprint of this on your ass. It would not be good. 0:15:24 - (Rebecca): It would just be. Yeah, dots all over my butt. 0:15:27 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:15:27 - (Mike): Yeah. This is not the time for that. 0:15:32 - (Julie): But anyhow, when people are having, like, legitimate activity and they're getting worried about it, we tell them, like, the first thing you do is just tell it. Cut it out. Stop it. So if you're going, hey. Like, that might. It might think, like, oh, no, he's getting mad. So I would give it a name and just start conversations with it and see if it'll start, like, you know, turning lights on and I'm halfway joking. 0:15:55 - (Rebecca): I'm not. I'm like, do it. 0:15:57 - (Julie): It would be fun if you had a ghost. 0:15:58 - (Mike): That probably would be a better way to approach it. 0:16:01 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:16:01 - (Mike): What name should I give it? Fred. 0:16:04 - (Rebecca): Oh, I like Fred. Fred's one. 0:16:05 - (Julie): If Fred's the first thing that comes to you. 0:16:07 - (Rebecca): Yeah, Fred next to you going, fred, Fred, if you're here with us, you're more than welcome to flicker some lights. Just letting you know. 0:16:16 - (Julie): Oh, damn. Come on, Fred. 0:16:17 - (Rebecca): Come on, Fred. Now you don't be shy, Freddie. 0:16:21 - (Julie): Don't be a chicken shit, Fred. Come on, Fred. 0:16:26 - (Rebecca): Fake. Fake. 0:16:30 - (Mike): No, I'm not going to get mad at it. Next time it happens. Next time I hear a noise in another room. 0:16:35 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:16:36 - (Mike): I'm just going to walk toward it and say, hey, Fred, what's up? 0:16:38 - (Rebecca): There you go. 0:16:39 - (Julie): There you go. 0:16:40 - (Rebecca): And let's see. I agree. Yeah. 0:16:42 - (Julie): Yeah. And then next time we see you're going to be like, oh, my shit's floating in the house. It's talking to me. It's moving the curtains while I'm. 0:16:48 - (Rebecca): Furniture is moved in totally different rooms. 0:16:51 - (Julie): Yes. Yeah, they won't have to come in and salt sage. 0:16:53 - (Rebecca): You throw some holy water at you. 0:16:56 - (Mike): Fred will come in here and take over. 0:16:58 - (Rebecca): Well, we don't want him to take over. Maybe just for a couple weeks, and then we'll. We'll try to get him back under control. 0:17:03 - (Julie): Yeah, we'll let Fred run the podcast. 0:17:05 - (Mike): By the way, we do know ghost busting. 0:17:09 - (Julie): What was that? 0:17:10 - (Mike): If that happens, I'm calling you guys for sure. 0:17:13 - (Rebecca): Again, I cannot make any promises. 0:17:15 - (Julie): We can actually go, wow, that's crazy. You're screwed. 0:17:18 - (Rebecca): And then just Like, I'll be like, here's my five year old sage from however long ago. Good luck. 0:17:26 - (Mike): Well, we got Halloween coming up now. I would imagine that this is a pretty big time for Haunted af. 0:17:35 - (Julie): Oh, yeah, this is our. This is our super bowl for sure. Yeah. We've got tons of stuff going on right now and I need to burp, so forgive me. I am so sorry about that. 0:17:46 - (Rebecca): This happens on our podcast. 0:17:47 - (Julie): I know. 0:17:47 - (Rebecca): All the time. 0:17:48 - (Julie): Embarrassing. 0:17:49 - (Rebecca): We used to leave them in the show. 0:17:50 - (Mike): Does she ever let fly? 0:17:52 - (Rebecca): Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, all the time. 0:17:55 - (Mike): You could do that here. 0:17:56 - (Julie): Yeah. But you'll use it. When I'm editing's not here. When I'm editing, it's a different story. But no, we. This year it's actually, oh, we're live. What? We're live. 0:18:12 - (Rebecca): And Julie is like, no, no shit. Well, this changes everything. Well, we derailed a long time ago and I was like, thank God for editing. 0:18:23 - (Julie): I always assume we're being edited. Always. Okay, okay. We have to make sure that. Okay. Before we derail again, that we have to make sure that we talk real quick about what we came to talk about, which is we Haunted AF is out. We have an appearance. 0:18:39 - (Rebecca): So we're actually finally. 0:18:40 - (Julie): Finally. Yes. It's so funny. Every Halloween we'll go out and do things, but we never do like a full on appearance. 0:18:46 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:18:46 - (Julie): And Texas Live reached out to us a couple months ago and they were like, hey, we've got all these really cool events going on in October and we'd love for HANA Day F to like kick off our Halloween season for us on October 1st. So Hanad F is going to do a live podcast at the Miller Tavern out at Texas Live. And that's going to be October 1st, which is next Wednesday. And we're gonna just have some drinks, do a meet and greet. She and I are gonna wear costumes. If you want to. Great. You don't have to, but we're gonna tape a live episode. 0:19:17 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:19:18 - (Julie): So we have some cool people showing up to interview. 0:19:21 - (Rebecca): We're looking for people to take ghost stories from, like live while we're there. So if anybody out there is listening right now and you have a great ghost story, we would love for you to come and tell it to us. 0:19:30 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:19:31 - (Rebecca): A good ghost story at Texas Life. 0:19:32 - (Julie): Definitely a good win. 0:19:33 - (Rebecca): We did. No feelings. Like you didn't feel it. Yeah, like, see? Yeah, scratches, stuff like that. You get it. 0:19:39 - (Julie): Exactly. But then we have, let's see, this guy named Josh Hamilton. Not that. Not that Josh, but he runs the Ghost tours of Arlington. So he's got a ton of ghost stories to share. We're going to talk to a guy named Scott Redmond who created the Beaumont Hotel exhibit at the Galleria. Have y' all been to that yet? 0:19:59 - (Rebecca): If you haven't, you should go. It's so much fun. 0:20:01 - (Julie): It's so much fun. So. And he created this whole thing. 0:20:04 - (Rebecca): I might grab a couple drinks prior and then go. Go play around. It's kind of like Meow Wolf or, like the Rainbow vomit type. 0:20:11 - (Julie): It's places super fun. I think. I think I saw where they're gonna have adult nights where you can go through and get champagne. 0:20:17 - (Rebecca): Oh, my gosh. That's amazing. 0:20:18 - (Julie): Yeah. Which she. 0:20:20 - (Rebecca): We had champagne when we did the media preview. 0:20:22 - (Julie): They were passing champagne, and they did not realize what a horrible that mistake was with Rebecca and I there. 0:20:28 - (Rebecca): Correct. 0:20:28 - (Julie): But so, anyhow, there were others, too, that. 0:20:32 - (Mike): That took advantage of that. 0:20:33 - (Julie): Oh, yeah. 0:20:34 - (Rebecca): There had to have been. 0:20:35 - (Julie): Yeah, we. We left a little bit of champagne there. What are the other. We also have BJ Cleveland, who used to run the ghost tours out at the Fort Worth Stockyards. So he's going to be telling ghost stories. So that's some of the other things that we have going on while we're taping our episode out at Texas Live next. 0:20:51 - (Rebecca): If only Mike Reiner had a story, he could come out and join us. 0:20:54 - (Julie): Why don't you come out? 0:20:55 - (Mike): Maybe I will. 0:20:56 - (Julie): We'll talk about Fred. 0:20:58 - (Rebecca): We'll let you sing. 0:20:59 - (Julie): Yeah, we would let you. 0:21:02 - (Rebecca): We totally would like to totally let. 0:21:04 - (Julie): Yes. Oh, but tickets are free. Like, you have to go to Texas live.com and let them let us know that you're coming. But otherwise, it doesn't cost anything. You can save your money for your drinks while you're there. Yep. 0:21:16 - (Mike): Maybe I'll write a song about my pal Fred. 0:21:18 - (Rebecca): I love it. 0:21:19 - (Mike): Yeah, Come out and do it. 0:21:20 - (Rebecca): Yes, do it. 0:21:21 - (Julie): You play guitar, right? Acoustic guitar? 0:21:24 - (Rebecca): Yeah, that would be perfect. 0:21:25 - (Julie): Absolutely. 0:21:27 - (Mike): This is October 1st at Texas Live. 0:21:29 - (Julie): Texas Live in Arlington. 0:21:31 - (Mike): Okay. All right. 0:21:33 - (Julie): In the Miller Tavern. 0:21:34 - (Rebecca): So please come. We're afraid people aren't gonna be there. We're legitimately concerned. At the same time, you have one. 0:21:42 - (Mike): Of the most popular podcasts anywhere. It's Halloween. I think people will be there. 0:21:48 - (Julie): I think so. 0:21:49 - (Mike): I think you don't have anything to worry about, Rebecca. I mean, is she the warrior here? 0:21:54 - (Rebecca): I think we both. 0:21:55 - (Julie): Yeah, we both worry. We both do. No, I think it's October 1st, so I think people aren't fully recognizing that it's spooky. 0:22:02 - (Rebecca): It's Halloween. 0:22:03 - (Julie): Yeah, it's. Cause we're kicking it off, so. Cause I even. I was driving around with my husband the other day, and we drove by Halloween decorations, and he was like, oh, come on. And I'm like, no, it is time. It's official. 0:22:14 - (Rebecca): Well, like, you know what's crazy is, like, I guess Big Tex went up today or yesterday, and I thought he'd already been up. 0:22:20 - (Julie): Oh, I thought he'd been up for a while. Right. 0:22:22 - (Rebecca): Like, I'm way behind. Maybe it was last Friday, but I thought he'd been up for, like, a month. 0:22:27 - (Mike): I thought they wouldn't open the fair without big text being up. 0:22:30 - (Rebecca): Right. But the fair opens. Went tomorrow. 0:22:32 - (Julie): Yes. 0:22:32 - (Rebecca): Yeah. So I thought. I thought we were already, like, Fair was already going big. 0:22:37 - (Julie): Big Texas. Got to be haunted. I'm sorry. 0:22:39 - (Mike): Yeah. There is no question. 0:22:41 - (Rebecca): Well, the one that burned down has got to be haunted. 0:22:43 - (Julie): Well, yeah. 0:22:44 - (Rebecca): I don't know about this new guy. 0:22:45 - (Julie): Yeah. But there's got to be really good ghost stories around Fair Park. That's one thing. I've never really gotten anything from it, but it's like, how. Like, it's been out there since the 1930s. Yeah. 0:22:56 - (Rebecca): It's been forever. 0:22:57 - (Julie): So there's got to be some creepy shit out there. 0:23:00 - (Mike): All right, let me ask you this. When it comes time for you to find a ghost story about someone or something, like, you know, we're talking about the fair here and ghost stories about that. If you were to set out to find ghost stories about the fair, what would you do? 0:23:20 - (Julie): I would Google. 0:23:21 - (Rebecca): Have us literally, like, Google. 0:23:22 - (Julie): Yes. And in fact, I do this on a regular basis. I'll just Google paranormal, and then I'll do that. Look through news. Yeah. And there will be a ton of stories. So I would do that and just put Fair park in there and see what I could find. So. Yeah. 0:23:35 - (Rebecca): But yet I will say, though, I don't know that we've necessarily actively looked for Fair park stories, but I also haven't found any Fair park stories in all the years. 0:23:43 - (Julie): And I feel like every single year at Halloween, radio and tv, whenever we do appearances, they want to know, top five most haunted places in dfw. And the fair. Fair park has never come up. I mean, I don't think I've ever seen a single ghost story. And, you know that place is haunted. 0:24:00 - (Rebecca): Right. Or they always want to do the White Rock Lake, lady of the Lake. And we're like, We've literally not gotten any real stories about the lady of the Lake. 0:24:11 - (Julie): No, I don't. I see you. You're getting ready to, like, make one up. 0:24:14 - (Mike): No. No, I'm not. 0:24:16 - (Julie): Yeah, no, we've been calling. 0:24:18 - (Mike): I've heard them, you know, probably all of them. 0:24:21 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:24:21 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:24:21 - (Mike): The stories about the lady of the Lake, and I never have known quite what to make of it, but it's a good story. 0:24:29 - (Rebecca): It's a great story, but I think every town has some sort of lady of the Lake type story. 0:24:34 - (Mike): They probably do. 0:24:35 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:24:35 - (Rebecca): But I just think it's wild that when we. We reach out and we ask people, like, because we live all. We all of us live near White Rock Lake, like, we would think we would have more stories, and we just don't. 0:24:46 - (Mike): Well. 0:24:46 - (Julie): And when you do hear something, it's usually like somebody's grandpa's grandpa. 0:24:51 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:24:51 - (Julie): Saw her. It's this way off, and it's some scary story that Grandpa told and. But no one has. I've never heard a firsthand experience of the lady of the Lake. Except you. Kevin fucking swore. 0:25:04 - (Rebecca): Right? 0:25:05 - (Julie): Which. No. Yeah. I don't believe it. 0:25:08 - (Rebecca): I don't blame him. 0:25:09 - (Julie): But. But, yeah, we haven't. We did get. A couple years ago. It's so funny. This picture showed up on my, like, Facebook memories recently. Did we already tell the story? 0:25:18 - (Rebecca): I don't know if we did or not. 0:25:19 - (Julie): I feel like we might have told this story already where a woman sent us a photo that her son had taken at night out at White Rock Lake. And there was this very weird, shadowy image of a woman in white. And we all got so excited, and so we were like, we have to have. You and your son on the podcast. Scheduled it. And then she ghosted us. And she finally responded and said, well, I found out my son just tampered with that photo. He was trying to scare his girlfriend, so it's not real. 0:25:43 - (Julie): So we had her on the podcast anyhow, and she ended up having a ghost story about the Baker Hotel, about snooping around there and something, grabbing her purse or something. 0:25:51 - (Rebecca): Honestly, that's still one of my favorite stories to this day. Because, like, he did a really great job with Photoshop. Like, we were all in. We were like, holy cow. We have finally found real lady of the Lake type story, and we have images to prove it. So we were all set, ready to go. And then when she tells us it's fake, we just died laughing. 0:26:08 - (Julie): Y' all don't hate me. I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I really feel like it's, like, right here on my phone. I almost took a screenshot of it. 0:26:15 - (Rebecca): She's gonna pull out pictures of it. 0:26:17 - (Julie): Totally. Yes. I'm gonna be that woman right now, so forgive me. 0:26:21 - (Mike): Well, we don't hate you for this. 0:26:22 - (Julie): Okay. Thank you. No, in fact, you know, we love stories like that too. You know, it doesn't always have to be like a real ghost story. 0:26:30 - (Mike): Yeah, we. 0:26:31 - (Julie): We had a great one about some people who had a Cookie monster balloon leftover from their kids party. And it kept showing up in these really crazy places all throughout the house. And they would even like, lock it in the bathroom, and then all of a sudden it would be at the top of the stairs. You know, which Cookie monster should not be scary. But when you wake up and he's like, hovering by your bed, it's like, yeah, that's some scary shit right there. 0:26:55 - (Julie): Okay. Talk amongst yourself. 0:26:57 - (Mike): When it's not where you think it should be yet, you don't know how it got where it is then. 0:27:02 - (Rebecca): Right. 0:27:02 - (Mike): Then. I mean, that. That could be the essence of a ghost story. 0:27:05 - (Rebecca): Yeah. Like, there's also something a little creepy about a dying balloon. Like it's on its last little legs and it's trying to survive. 0:27:11 - (Julie): Yep. We've had a couple of weird ghost stories, though. Involving balloons for sure. 0:27:18 - (Rebecca): I remember when we had the red balloon story, which was shortly after the movie it came out. And we were like, oh, my God. Like, there's real life it happening. It's just coincidence. 0:27:27 - (Julie): Look, there it is. 0:27:28 - (Rebecca): There she is. Oh, here. So that Mike can see. 0:27:30 - (Julie): Yes. And I'll. I'll send this to you guys if you want to. 0:27:33 - (Rebecca): Oh, gosh. 0:27:34 - (Julie): Is there any way to post that? I guess. I mean, I could put it in front of the camera. That would be. So it looks. 0:27:42 - (Rebecca): That's a good photo, right? 0:27:44 - (Julie): It really does look like a ghost photo. And it looks like a lady in white. It is very fun. Not real. That's one thing. That's so sad. I mean, I think Rebecca and I both. 0:27:55 - (Mike): All of our social media as real as I've seen. 0:27:58 - (Julie): Yeah. All of our social media is just tons of ghost videos and stuff. And they're so much fun, but they're all fake, you know? 0:28:08 - (Rebecca): Yeah. For a while there, we were calling them out. Like, we would literally have the video playing in the background and Julie and I would be like, just on it. 0:28:16 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:28:17 - (Rebecca): Why is fake how it's fake? 0:28:18 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:28:19 - (Rebecca): I could have done this. Yeah. 0:28:21 - (Julie): Yeah. Sometimes you can even see, like, the fishing wire. Whatever. It's. It's pretty ridiculous, but. But it's also a bummer, because then it makes the kind of real stuff that we get, which is always very subtle. You know, it's just like a little whispery voice, or I will say that's. 0:28:38 - (Rebecca): What sucks about, like, living in these modern times with AI and social media and all that. Like, anybody can fake anything, and you really don't ever know unless they tell you that it's fake. But most of it we did. 0:28:51 - (Julie): We got a couple of really great photos from the Stanley Hotel. Yeah, that's coming up next week, though, right? I think that's next. Next episode. We got some really great photos from there. And where's that. 0:29:03 - (Mike): Where's the Stanley Hotel? 0:29:04 - (Rebecca): In Colorado? 0:29:05 - (Julie): It's in Estes park, and it's actually the hotel that Stephen King based the Shining on. 0:29:09 - (Mike): Ah, okay. 0:29:10 - (Julie): Yes. And it is allegedly haunted. They're making a mint every year off of doing ghost tours out there. But it is a really beautiful old hotel. We need to go there. 0:29:19 - (Rebecca): I know. I would love to. 0:29:20 - (Julie): Yeah. But the person. TJ had done a ghost tour, and so he went through, and they're always telling him, take. Take pictures the whole time. You never know what's going to show up. And some weird stuff really did show up in his photos. It's a little unexplainable. And then what was the other one? We had a. Oh, and the weird. Then we had another guy sent in a photo, and it looked like a swirling vortex thing that was happening. And he was on a ghost tour in. 0:29:44 - (Julie): Was it New Hampshire? Harper's Ferry, wherever the hell that is. 0:29:48 - (Rebecca): I have the memory of a goldfish, so I don't know. We literally just recorded this episode, and I'm like, I don't know. 0:29:53 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:29:55 - (Rebecca): But I will say, like, we always tell people, if you are going somewhere haunted, take a million photos. Take as many as possible, because you never know what's going to pop up or what you missed, maybe. 0:30:05 - (Julie): And don't just take one. If you're like, oh, I'm taking, like, 30. Yeah. If you're like, I'm getting the willies out in. Take like, three or four photos in a row. Because that's the great thing is when you have something to compare it to. 0:30:16 - (Rebecca): Yeah. I can't tell you how many photos I have of Julie and I in the bathroom at the Hotel Galvez. At least 40 or 50. Because we stood there, we were both like. We got nothing. 0:30:26 - (Julie): We went to this, like, ballroom area at the Galvez, and it was dark and spooky, and we're filming and we're like, oh my God. Do you see that? Do you see that? Oh my God. And then it was our shadows. 0:30:35 - (Rebecca): It was us moving. 0:30:36 - (Julie): It was just us. We've done that multiple times. Multiple times. I don't have. We had it. Have we seen a ghost together? Oh, together. There was that when our. The cat balls. 0:30:45 - (Rebecca): The cat ball incident at the. That was at the Galvan. 0:30:48 - (Julie): Yes. Yeah. 0:30:49 - (Mike): Do you guys ever scare each other? 0:30:51 - (Rebecca): All the time. I'm. It's me. I'm the one. I scare her all the time. 0:30:56 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:30:57 - (Rebecca): Like there is. What's the pizza place that's haunted here? 0:31:00 - (Julie): It is Connorosa in Carrollton, which is. I do leaked it that that whole. 0:31:05 - (Rebecca): Block, the whole area is haunted. And we decided to go over for lunch. Apparently there's some action and activity that's going on in the bathroom there. I don't know why we have so many bathroom haunts, but we do. So we're all like sitting at the. We've heard stories about hair getting tugged and all this or what. Whatever. Julie kind of turned. She was like, did you hear that? And the moment she says, did you hear that? I grabbed her hair. 0:31:27 - (Rebecca): And then she turns around and I was like, haha. And she's like, I hate you. I feel like I do that all the time. 0:31:36 - (Mike): So you guys play Gotcha? 0:31:37 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:31:38 - (Julie): Yeah, she does. I don't. Because I'm always so like. 0:31:41 - (Rebecca): I can't help it. 0:31:42 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:31:43 - (Rebecca): I just can't stop myself. 0:31:44 - (Julie): No, you're having fun. 0:31:46 - (Mike): Yeah. Julie's taking it more serious. 0:31:48 - (Julie): I just want it to be real. 0:31:49 - (Rebecca): Yeah, I do too. I. Trust me, I am the most desperate to find something that happens. 0:31:55 - (Mike): Yeah, but so is Halloween a big time? It's got to be a big time for you guys. 0:32:00 - (Julie): Well, yeah, because it's the only time of year when everybody wants to talk about this. Like, we do this all damn day. 0:32:05 - (Rebecca): Right? 0:32:06 - (Julie): You know, and it's funny. Like, I love a ghost story during Christmas. Like I love a ghost story during the summer. 0:32:12 - (Rebecca): Same when it's not the spooky season. 0:32:14 - (Julie): Right. When you're sitting out by the beach or. I mean, like, I love scary stories all the time, but this is the only time, for whatever reason, that people get turned onto it. 0:32:24 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:32:24 - (Mike): Well, let's say that the average spare guy wants to do something scary. 0:32:30 - (Julie): Oh, okay. 0:32:31 - (Mike): Halloween. 0:32:32 - (Julie): Okay. 0:32:33 - (Mike): So like, like the average spare guy, like say, me. 0:32:37 - (Julie): Okay. 0:32:38 - (Mike): Might want to go in for something like that. Well, where should I go? What should I do? 0:32:44 - (Julie): Have you ever been to Hangman's house? Of Horrors in Fort Worth. 0:32:47 - (Mike): No. 0:32:47 - (Julie): Okay. It is time. 0:32:48 - (Rebecca): That's. That's the first stop. That's a haunted house. Do you. Are you into haunted houses? 0:32:52 - (Mike): Oh, yeah. 0:32:53 - (Rebecca): Okay, this is the perfect place for you then. 0:32:54 - (Julie): And it's like legit. They've been going for 37 seasons, committed and there. It's like kind of like a complex because they have the traditional walk through haunted house area, but then they have another one. It's like. What is it called? It's like the beauty of horror or something. 0:33:09 - (Rebecca): It's like they add on every year or something. 0:33:11 - (Julie): Yeah. Where it's more like a. An influencer experience where you can go in and take pictures and stuff. But they have like zombies. There used to be. I think they still have the zombie chase area, so. And we actually have a promo code for Hanging House of Horrors. 0:33:25 - (Rebecca): Yeah. So your fans can get a discount. 0:33:27 - (Julie): Yes. 0:33:28 - (Rebecca): And you give it. 0:33:29 - (Julie): Give them. 0:33:29 - (Rebecca): Oh, it's haunted AF. 15 for 15 off at the door. 0:33:32 - (Julie): Yeah, at the door or online. 0:33:33 - (Rebecca): Yeah, 15. 0:33:35 - (Mike): 15 off at the door. 0:33:36 - (Rebecca): Yeah, absolutely. And we're also gonna have a live appearance out there on October 18th. 0:33:41 - (Julie): Yes. 0:33:41 - (Rebecca): Doing another podcast episode. Hanging out with the crowd. Just trying to entertain everybody while they wait in line, stuff like that. So this should be a lot of fun. 0:33:48 - (Julie): Well, and it's good to have like the good old school just scare the out of you haunted house because, you know, Screams is done. Closed I think after 25 seasons or something. So they. They've evolved. So it's more of a family friendly type of Halloween event. So Hangman's for sure. Again, the Bont Hotel. Highly recommend. 0:34:08 - (Rebecca): That's not as. That's not like, scary. 0:34:10 - (Julie): You could like, take your kids. 0:34:12 - (Rebecca): Yeah, you could definitely take kids. 0:34:13 - (Mike): The. 0:34:13 - (Rebecca): The Bont for sure. 0:34:14 - (Julie): Look at this. We have a cheat sheet. 0:34:15 - (Mike): Where's that at? 0:34:16 - (Rebecca): Boomont's at the Galleria. 0:34:18 - (Julie): It's on the top floor of the Galleria. It's over there where Sax used to be. 0:34:21 - (Rebecca): And it's like an interactive type experience. 0:34:23 - (Mike): Yeah. 0:34:24 - (Julie): So there's also this new thing and we haven't been to this one yet, but it's the Forest of Shadows. 0:34:28 - (Rebecca): I want to go to that. 0:34:29 - (Julie): I want to go to. Yeah. And so we were talking about it. They should give us some free passes. Right. Like, we're actually. We should have done this in reverse. You know, give us the free passes and we talk just. But yeah, it's at the Trinity Forest Adventure Park. And so this is kind of like it's a walk through one mile Haunted Forest. But it's not over the top. They're not going to be jumping out at you with chainsaws. They've got like, lights, lasers, wind machines and all that. And it's like telling a story as you walk through. 0:34:58 - (Julie): So that one sounds very cool. 0:34:59 - (Rebecca): And not to be cheesy, but I'm also going to throw out Six Flags. Six Flags does an excellent job at Halloween. 0:35:05 - (Julie): Really? 0:35:05 - (Rebecca): Yeah. They all dress up in costume and it gets scarier and scarier every year. Yeah, it's a. I'm serious. 0:35:12 - (Mike): It's a lot for some reason, I wouldn't think. 0:35:13 - (Julie): Oh, yeah, no, they update it. What's it called? 0:35:16 - (Rebecca): I can't remember. Why can I not remember what. What it's called? 0:35:18 - (Julie): I don't know. 0:35:19 - (Rebecca): Scare Fest. 0:35:21 - (Julie): Thank you. Fright Fest. Yes. 0:35:23 - (Rebecca): Fright Fest. 0:35:23 - (Julie): Yes. Six Flags. 0:35:25 - (Mike): Yvonne Saves the Day. 0:35:26 - (Julie): Yeah. And then the other. There's this really cool kind of like Halloween battle going on between Denton and Grapevine. Because Grapevine has been kind of like the Halloween capital of North Texas here for a while. Because they do the train. Well, they. Yeah, they take the Grapevine Vintage Railroad and, you know, they kids on it, but they turn it into like a spooky railroad thing. And then also, like on Main street, they have just. Everything is turned into Halloween town. 0:35:53 - (Julie): So Denton got into that recently and they started loving it. So they actually like, legally change their name to Halloween, which is awesome. For the month of October for like the next 10 years or something, which I'm sure Grapevine is like, what? 0:36:08 - (Rebecca): Like, why didn't we get to. 0:36:10 - (Julie): Yeah, but it didn't. Same thing. It's like they're down downtown area, just goes all out with Halloween stuff. So. 0:36:17 - (Rebecca): So there's plenty of stuff to do. And I. What I love most is like, I feel like Halloween has always kind of gotten shoved to the side a little bit. And now there's like this awakening. And people love spooky, scary, fun stuff. And so I think Halloween's getting bigger and bigger every year and I get excited about it. 0:36:32 - (Julie): Tell them about the chicken. Chicken Chicken nuggets. 0:36:35 - (Rebecca): Yeah, tell me about the chicken Tyson. Tyson Chicken Nuggets is making ghost chicken nuggets. They're in the shape of a ghost or a jack o. Lantern or I think a bat. 0:36:45 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:36:45 - (Rebecca): And I was like, yay. Normal food that looks like Halloween. 0:36:49 - (Julie): She sent me, like, sending me photos from. From Walmart. 0:36:52 - (Rebecca): I was very excited about it. Yeah. I am a child. 0:36:55 - (Mike): Did you just come up on this one day? 0:36:57 - (Rebecca): I had to go get something at Walmart I don't know what it was for. And then I. In the freezer section, there is a full blown stack of Tyson Chicken nuggets. They're in a purple bag and they have bats and pumpkins and ghosts on them. 0:37:09 - (Julie): And I was like, yes, yes, we're gonna eat. 0:37:11 - (Rebecca): That's gonna be our lunch for the next three weeks. 0:37:13 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:37:13 - (Mike): All right. 0:37:14 - (Julie): Exactly. 0:37:16 - (Mike): Well, where else should I go? Any tips? Come on, Julie, give me tips. 0:37:21 - (Rebecca): Do you want. I'm like, are there any real, like, haunted places that we could send people to without getting in trouble? 0:37:29 - (Julie): Let's see. Well, there is. You know, we talked about the. What is it called? It's the, you know, the historical places downtown where they have all the old houses. Where I got that. 0:37:40 - (Rebecca): Oh, Old City Park. It's not Old City park anymore, though. 0:37:43 - (Julie): Yeah, so they have all the old houses there, but, you know, Old City park right there in downtown City Village. 0:37:47 - (Rebecca): Or something it's called Now. 0:37:48 - (Julie): I was out there with Sean Giggy last year. I can't remember if I talked about this with you guys or not, but I don't think you did. 0:37:54 - (Rebecca): I don't think. I don't think we had done the Sean Gigi appearance. 0:37:57 - (Julie): The Sean Giggy thing happened afterwards. So every year on wfaa, Sean Giggy does these really fun Halloween things where he'll go out and find a legit haunted place. He. And he interviewed Rebecca and I one year, so he's great. And he told me he was gonna go out and do a story out at Old City Park. So I went out there with him and it was really fun because some of the security people who work out there are very scared of some of the houses. 0:38:23 - (Julie): And there's one house in particular. I wish I could remember the name of it, but it's the one that has the dog run. And so security took us over there and we went upstairs and it's just so freaking creepy. But it's the Millermore Plantation that. Okay. Sean Giggy was sitting on the porch interviewing the woman who was the docent there. I was in the backyard just, you know, filming whatever. And I had. 0:38:50 - (Julie): What is it called? Whenever the. I had a specific type of ghost app on my phone that. So when you use it and you are filming, it's supposed to show you if spirits are nearby. And so I'm filming and I actually see this image hanging from one of the trees in the backyard. And it looks like a person and just hanging. 0:39:13 - (Rebecca): The shape of it. 0:39:14 - (Julie): Yeah. Yes. So I was like, well, that's Weird. Let me move to a different area and see if it's still there. And I went to the other side of the yard and started filming again, and it was still there and it looked like it was waving and pointing to the house. I got so excited. So I'll send y' all that video. And if you actually. Yeah, if you go to hauntedaf.com and go look at. Look at October of last year, it's going to be there, But. 0:39:39 - (Julie): So then I went and did the tour with Sean and we walked all over the park, and when I came back, I tried to get it to recreate it. It would not happen again. And. And I didn't get an image that looked anything like that anywhere else in the entire park in the two hours that we were filming out there. So that was pretty cool. 0:39:58 - (Rebecca): I. I just don't think that place could not be haunted, if it makes sense, because it's like all these old buildings that have been brought in from virtually all over the world or from all different years. How could one of them not be haunted? 0:40:09 - (Mike): It's definitely a candidate for sure, right? Oh, yeah, it's gotta be. 0:40:13 - (Rebecca): It checks all the boxes. 0:40:14 - (Julie): We did have someone who worked at the Millimore house, another one of the docents who reached out to us years ago, and she talked about how she would be working at a desk and there, and she would hear voices upstairs and she'd know she was completely alone. So. And she reached out to us. I was like, can you please come on the podcast and talk about this? We'd love to have you on. And she wrote back and cc'd her boss and was like, could we do this? And then we never heard from her again. 0:40:40 - (Julie): So. So, yeah, definitely the lower house. 0:40:42 - (Rebecca): They couldn't talk about it. 0:40:43 - (Julie): And definitely the house with the dog run, so. And that place is just creepy in itself. It's funny. We have some friends in town from the uk. This called this Paranormal Life. It's another paranormal podcast. And they were doing a world tour. So when they were here, we took them to a couple of spooky locations, and so we took them to Old City Park. Of course, we took them to Dealey Plaza. 0:41:04 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:41:05 - (Julie): Which was funny because they weren't aware of the fact that there were conspiracy theories around the JFK assassination. We took them to White Rock Lake, and then we took them to the Khalida Humphries Theater. So did we tell the Khalida Humphries story the last time we were here? 0:41:20 - (Mike): I don't think you did. 0:41:22 - (Julie): So this. Do you want to tell this one. This is a great. 0:41:24 - (Rebecca): We can go back and forth. It doesn't matter to me. So Khalida Humphreys Theater. It's one of the most beautiful old theaters in Dallas, I think. Of course, it needs a lot of repair right now. 0:41:33 - (Mike): And it used to be known as the Dallas Theater center for those who have been around for. 0:41:36 - (Rebecca): Yeah, yeah. 0:41:37 - (Julie): Well, no, it's Frank Lloyd Wright. 0:41:40 - (Rebecca): Yeah, Frank Lloyd Wright. He's the architect. He designed it. And this is the. Is this the only building. 0:41:45 - (Julie): It's the only theater. 0:41:47 - (Rebecca): The only theater that he's ever done and the one that he didn't finish. 0:41:50 - (Julie): Well, he died before they. It opened. 0:41:53 - (Rebecca): That's right. That's right. 0:41:54 - (Julie): So they went in and made some changes. 0:41:55 - (Rebecca): See, you should tell the story because I can't remember the details. 0:41:58 - (Julie): Okay, I'll let you tell the BJ part. I'll let you tell the BJ part. 0:42:01 - (Rebecca): I don't remember that either. Are you kidding me? 0:42:03 - (Julie): Okay, I'll tell it. I am a Mike. 0:42:06 - (Rebecca): I'm so sorry. 0:42:07 - (Julie): I'm a Mike Hogg. And that's the problem, because I'll start talking, and I think everybody wants me to keep going. And everybody's going, julie, shut up. And I'm like, no, I've got another story. 0:42:15 - (Rebecca): And then that's compiled with me. 0:42:17 - (Mike): Nobody tells you to shut up. 0:42:19 - (Julie): They just think it real hard. 0:42:20 - (Rebecca): I just have the brain of a goldfish, and once I've spun around the bowl, it's all new. It's all new. 0:42:28 - (Julie): So, no, we've talked to multiple. So, okay, the story is that since they had to make changes after he died, Frank Lloyd Wright is pissed. And if you talk to any of the actors, there are tons of people who have really great stories. And B.J. cleveland, our friend who is going to be out at Texas Live with us next Wednesday, he had a great story that he shared with us, and that's. That's on YouTube. Like, if you go way, way back. We posted it on YouTube. 0:42:53 - (Julie): But where. He was rehearsing really late one night, and he went into the bathroom and he could hear somebody going, like, clearing their throat in the stall or. Yeah. Or whatever. So he said he kept hearing it and he couldn't figure it. And he was thinking, like, who again? 0:43:10 - (Rebecca): So many bathroom stories. 0:43:11 - (Julie): I know you're gonna be a bathroom ghost. 0:43:14 - (Rebecca): I 100% am. I know that. 0:43:17 - (Julie): Anyhow, he starts looking, and he can't see any feet underneath the stalls. So he starts walking through, and he's still hearing it, and they're Stomping their feet too. 0:43:25 - (Rebecca): Stomping, really. Just struggling. 0:43:27 - (Julie): Just struggling. Yeah. Can't get it out. But so he's going over and he starts pushing open the doors. Pushing open the door. And he gets to the very, very last door, and he says he'd like karate chopped it open, and there was nobody there. So he goes running out of the bathroom. He's all excited, and he tells everyone else who's there practicing or rehearsing. Like, Frank's in the bathroom. Frank's in this. So they all go running back into the bathroom, and they're just standing there, like, waiting for something to happen. 0:43:53 - (Julie): And then one of the sinks turned on. 0:43:56 - (Rebecca): So that was nice of Frank to put on a show for them. 0:43:58 - (Julie): Yes. But one thing that's fun. We introduced BJ to Sean Giggy. And so they did. Sean did a segment at the Khalida Humphries theater a couple years ago. And as they're standing there telling the story, the light starts flashing above BJ's head. 0:44:15 - (Rebecca): Why can't that happen when I am there? 0:44:17 - (Julie): I know. Like, yeah, it's. It's the Kalita that's. And it makes me really sad. I guess there was a period of time that they were gonna put like $400 million or something. Right. 0:44:26 - (Rebecca): Whatever happened to that? 0:44:27 - (Julie): To renovating it? And I was trying. I read a. Robert Wolanski wrote an article about it back. Just talking about how this thing just keeps getting kicked down the road, which is so sad. 0:44:38 - (Rebecca): I'm like, who would not want to save a Frank Lloyd Wright anything? 0:44:41 - (Julie): Yeah. Especially. It's the only theater that he built. 0:44:45 - (Rebecca): Right. 0:44:45 - (Julie): It's. It is beautiful. I mean, gorgeous. It's kind of a mess right now, but it's still really cool. And it's haunted. Don't tear it down. Like, that's. 0:44:53 - (Rebecca): That's really cool. Worst case scenario, give it to Julie and I. Yes, we will do something with it. 0:44:59 - (Julie): Right? With that. Yes. So we took our friends Kit and Rory when they were in town. We took them over there as well, and they were pretty excited about that. But those are probably some of our favorite haunted spots. What am I missing? The Kanye Rosa in Carrollton, though. I do. There was a while back, the city of Carrollton posted on their Facebook page, it was like security video of women getting their hair pulled at that Carne Rosa, which is really cool. They're just sitting there eating their pizza and, like. 0:45:24 - (Rebecca): So there's rumors that the land and winery in McKinney is haunted. So shout out if you want to. 0:45:28 - (Julie): Go get Some wine, and there you go. 0:45:29 - (Rebecca): Be haunted there. God, I can't think of any other places. Oh, there's another bar in McKinney we've had stories about. 0:45:37 - (Julie): I'm Never Irish pub. Yes. 0:45:39 - (Rebecca): The Irish pub of McKinney on the square is also haunted. And that I actually had a. An experience. I had my back to a wall, and we were having a few drinks, and I was, like, telling them, oh, it's supposedly haunted. Blah, blah, blah. I don't necessarily believe it. And then I get this little on the back of my shoulder. 0:45:55 - (Julie): Just a little like. 0:45:56 - (Rebecca): Just like that. Like, it was like it was walking past me, and I was like. 0:46:00 - (Julie): It was like, hello. Did you, like, respond immediately? Were you like. 0:46:04 - (Rebecca): I did. I was like, oh, my gosh. 0:46:05 - (Julie): I'm not gonna believe it. 0:46:07 - (Rebecca): Everybody's looking at me like I'm crazy. 0:46:09 - (Julie): Nobody believes you in that. I felt it. 0:46:13 - (Mike): See, they've got a friend of their own. 0:46:15 - (Julie): Yes. Yeah. 0:46:17 - (Mike): Wow. That's. 0:46:19 - (Julie): You know, we. 0:46:19 - (Rebecca): I feel like we just. Info. 0:46:22 - (Mike): But that's what you guys deal in. 0:46:23 - (Julie): Oh, yeah. All the time. 0:46:24 - (Rebecca): Yeah. We. We're very excited about these things. 0:46:27 - (Julie): So on our Patreon page, and we still don't know the facts behind this one, but it was these two women, and they worked at a vineyard or a winery somewhere here in Texas. And they would not tell us where. And. But they worked together, and it was in an old building, and they were at the top of these stairs, and they both had these experiences all the time of hearing somebody climb up the stairs. Stairs. And no one would be there. And it just. It happened all the time. But my favorite story. There was one of the women was there alone, and it was during the holiday season, so they would have mulled wine. 0:47:03 - (Julie): So she would go and get a cup of the mulled wine in the morning, and she. Jojo was her breakfast wine. But so she said, that should be a thing. Yeah, it should. So she. I guess it always is a thing. 0:47:15 - (Rebecca): It could be. 0:47:15 - (Julie): Yeah. So she's sitting at her desk with her cup of breakfast wine that she's not supposed to be drinking, of course. And her boss comes to the bottom of the stairs and starts talking to her. And the boss is coming up the stairs as she's, like, giving this, you know, telling this woman what to do, and she's freaking out, like, what do I do? And she said she looked directly at the cup, and as she did, the cup just spilled. 0:47:38 - (Julie): Went over completely for no reason at all, and just spilled wine all over her desk. And she just Knew it was the ghost, like, messing with her. And thankfully, she said her boss stopped a couple of steps before coming into the room, so her boss didn't see it. 0:47:52 - (Rebecca): But I like a ghost that's willing to cover for me. Yeah, like, don't let my boss know I'm drinking it at 9am you think that was it? I think that was it. 0:48:00 - (Julie): I feel like the ghost was busting her, like, bitch, you know, don't be drinking our free wine. That's not cool. 0:48:07 - (Rebecca): Or is it a cat ghost? Just knock it right on off. 0:48:10 - (Julie): Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense. 0:48:15 - (Mike): All right, now another note. I see. 0:48:19 - (Rebecca): We have completely derailed entire show. I am so sorry. 0:48:24 - (Mike): No, no, you. You have not derailed. 0:48:25 - (Rebecca): I feel as though we have. 0:48:27 - (Mike): No, you have not. 0:48:29 - (Julie): Forgive me. I got to get. 0:48:30 - (Mike): This is what I wanted. I wanted you to come in here and do this. 0:48:34 - (Julie): Mike's like, they get diarrhea of the mouth. 0:48:36 - (Rebecca): Like, yeah. 0:48:37 - (Julie): They'll kill three hours without BL here, not us. 0:48:42 - (Mike): But I think I've heard something about the Stanley Hotel. 0:48:47 - (Rebecca): Yes, you probably have heard plenty about the Stanley Hotel, and. 0:48:53 - (Mike): I can't remember exactly what it was. I know it's in Canada somewhere. 0:48:57 - (Julie): No, no, no. That's the one in Estes Park. That's what we were talking about that while ago. We had the photos from it. The Shining Hotel. Yeah. 0:49:05 - (Mike): All right, all right. 0:49:05 - (Rebecca): It's confusing because there's a lot of. 0:49:07 - (Mike): Hotels that are haunted, but there's. There was a story that you mentioned that happened up in Canada. 0:49:15 - (Julie): Oh, yeah. 0:49:15 - (Mike): About a farmhouse renovation or some such. 0:49:18 - (Julie): Yes. So this is the story. This is the story that we're following right now. That's super fun. Do you want to tell this one? It's pretty new. 0:49:24 - (Rebecca): I don't remember it. I just said I'm a goldfish. 0:49:28 - (Julie): Okay. So back. 0:49:30 - (Rebecca): I remember the farmhouse. 0:49:31 - (Julie): Okay. Back in the spring. And this is. I love it. I love it when this happens, because people will reach out to us with an event, you know, and then we won't hear from them for a while. And then a year later, they'll reach out again and be like, oh, my God, you won't believe what happened. So a woman named Tori is renovating a farmhouse. She's in Canada. I'm not. I need to figure out exactly where, but it's been in her family for a while. And apparently her father and her brother both passed away in the house. 0:49:59 - (Julie): We don't know exactly how, but she wanted to keep the house in the family, so they've been renovating it for probably close to a year now. And apparently the workers have been having all kinds of experiences and. But the best one. And she sent pictures of this property. It's really amazing. It's just, you know, creepy as fuck. But one of the workers said. And he had a woman. 0:50:26 - (Mike): This has got to be out on the Canadian prairie somewhere. 0:50:28 - (Rebecca): Probably. 0:50:28 - (Julie): Yeah. It's not in the city. No, it's the farmhouse and the church for sure. Yeah. I can. Can send you guys. We made a, we made a reel out of her story back in. Back in the spring. But so her worker was leaving, he had a woman with her. And they said as they were driving, something huge ran across the road and. But it was running on all fours and they said it looked, it had a mane like a hyena. But it had great big hands, like man size hands that look like raccoon hands and. But they said it didn't have a tail. So this thing allegedly jumped from this. Because we like, we like monster stories. 0:51:09 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 0:51:09 - (Julie): Jump from the side of the road and like ran across the road and so he called Tori and was like, I don't know if I can be coming. You've got some weird stuff going on. 0:51:20 - (Rebecca): I have to quit today. 0:51:21 - (Julie): Yeah. But she has tons of, you know, whispers, voices, the stomping around. Sounds like things being moved around. Because anytime you do renovations or whatever, if you do have a haunted house, that's going to tick them off. They don't like that. But the most recent one that she sent is not as good as the raccoon hands. But she and her husband and their dog were sitting out. They were like burning, you know, something in the fire pit outside. 0:51:45 - (Julie): And there's a barn right next to them. So her husband goes inside and she's cleaning up and she hears a whistle from the barn, like summoning them. She said like this two tone whistle. 0:51:57 - (Rebecca): Which we, we tried to recreate the whistle and couldn't. 0:51:59 - (Julie): I know, I'm like, what? She was like, it's like you call a dog. I'm like, what does that sound like? But so she. Yeah, that's it. 0:52:08 - (Rebecca): That's it. Neither one of us can do that. 0:52:10 - (Julie): So she's just standing there, it's completely dark, you know, what do you do? And again, having been told. So do you see this like weird hyena monster whistling at them from this dark side of the barn? 0:52:24 - (Rebecca): No. 0:52:24 - (Julie): So. But no, that's just, that's one that we're kind of following right now because she was like, she feels like, activity is escalating. And. And again, this is one of those situations where when they start to get freaked out, they. They will. Like, who do I reach out to? Who you going to call? 0:52:39 - (Rebecca): You're gonna call. Not Ghostbusters on a day. 0:52:41 - (Julie): Yeah. So we have helped people from. Find, like, paranormal groups or whatever, but she is. She's trying to cleanse her house. But we've had this discussion before. It's like when you have a cleansing, you know, and the whole idea is to get rid of spirits, to get rid of negativity. But if maybe, you know, her dad's ghost or her brother's ghost, if they're actually in the house, you really want to chase that out. Like, how do you handle a situation like that? 0:53:08 - (Julie): So. And, you know, clearly we don't have answers for her. I'm like, oh, that sucks. Keep telling us ghost stories. 0:53:13 - (Rebecca): So I'm like, honestly, it's up to you if you want to. If you want to cleanse the house and maybe in the process get rid of your brother and dad at the same time. Yeah, like, that's kind of up to you. Like, I can't tell you to. To make them go away. 0:53:27 - (Julie): Well, she sounds like she's. Sounds like she's ready for it, I guess. 0:53:30 - (Mike): Well, I bet you guys get stories from people all the time, don't you? 0:53:33 - (Julie): Oh, yeah. Oh, I mean, that's. 0:53:35 - (Rebecca): We are always taking stories. 0:53:37 - (Julie): My favorite thing. Yeah. And if you have1. Haunted AF podcast. Gmail.com. one of my favorite things to do is to drink a glass of wine on a Friday night and just start going through emails. And. And it's fun because I'll respond to people and. And they'll be like, oh, my God. 0:53:52 - (Rebecca): Is it really you? Is it really you? 0:53:53 - (Julie): And I'm like, julie, yes. And I'm half drunk right now. Let's talk. But. But yeah, I just. The stories, they're amazing. I mean, they are. And they're not always scary. In fact, they're probably more like life affirming than anything else. 0:54:10 - (Mike): Life affirming ghost stories. 0:54:11 - (Julie): Seriously. Yeah. People seeing their, you know, their loved ones. 0:54:16 - (Mike): Yeah. Yeah. Okay. 0:54:17 - (Rebecca): A trinket that they've left behind that suddenly has appeared out of nowhere and nobody found. You haven't found it in a million years or whatever. Yeah. 0:54:24 - (Julie): Told us a story. Like, that's right. 0:54:25 - (Rebecca): An earring. 0:54:26 - (Julie): Her friend's earring. See, you do. 0:54:28 - (Rebecca): I do remember that. 0:54:29 - (Julie): You do remember why that. 0:54:30 - (Rebecca): And not yesterday's episode. 0:54:32 - (Julie): Seriously. And that was like six years literally yesterday. 0:54:35 - (Rebecca): Y'. 0:54:35 - (Julie): All literally, you know, braining is hard. 0:54:40 - (Rebecca): It's so hard. 0:54:41 - (Julie): It is. 0:54:42 - (Mike): So how many podcasts do you guys do every week? Or how often do you put new stuff up? 0:54:47 - (Julie): I'm really glad you asked that. So we try to do one episode a week, but Rebecca Black has just started a new podcast. Sorry, I. We didn't ask you guys if we could talk about this. Is this okay? Can we plug. 0:54:59 - (Mike): Yes, it's okay. 0:55:01 - (Rebecca): I started a podcast called Unsolicited, and it's a little bit more like radio, where we're talking about kind of like the lifestyle things and basically judging people and giving advice when we shouldn't be giving advice. And it's with Dan o'. Malley. I don't know if you guys know him. He used to be. Yeah, he used to be on the Treehouse show or Russ Martin back however long ago. Anyways, through friends of friends of friends, we've become friends. And he's like, hey, you want to start a podcast? And I'm like, hey, sure, why not? 0:55:27 - (Rebecca): Let's start more podcasts. Yeah, just keep doing. Yeah. So now we're doing this, and we're only like, two episodes in, but hopefully it's. It's going well thus far. We like it. We're having fun. Hopefully other people will join. 0:55:41 - (Mike): It's called Unsolicited Upshot of It. 0:55:43 - (Rebecca): The. 0:55:44 - (Mike): What the. What's it about? 0:55:46 - (Rebecca): It's. It's kind of like lifestyle, like, I Am I the type. Scenarios, Confessions. We played the. In our first episode, we played. Would you rather. I don't. Y' all know this game? 0:56:00 - (Julie): Oh, yeah. 0:56:00 - (Rebecca): Would you rather two weird scenarios? 0:56:02 - (Mike): Oh, yeah. 0:56:02 - (Rebecca): I love this game. I feel like you can learn so much about people, even if it's the most mundane, basic question. Like, I want your answer, and then I want you to explain why. And I feel like that's how I get to know people very well. And so it's stuff like that. So it's. It's very much more radio style than, like, a podcast. Most podcasts are kind of niche, if you will. Like, ours is ghost, clearly, but this is more. 0:56:26 - (Rebecca): More like radio and talking about the weekly things that have been going on and, you know, kind of whatever piques our interests and we hope, piques other people's interests. 0:56:34 - (Julie): Very much like a. Like a morning radio show. 0:56:37 - (Rebecca): I mean, we both come from morning radio, me and Dan both, and obviously you do, too. So we. We have that vibe. Yeah, we're all. And like, too. Yeah, we're all morning radio. People aren't We. I was like, literally somewhere along the line. 0:56:49 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:56:49 - (Mike): I mean, you haven't been in the. The game until you've done that. 0:56:52 - (Julie): Yes, Truly. 0:56:53 - (Rebecca): Truly. So. 0:56:55 - (Mike): Well, girls, you guys are a trip, as always. 0:57:00 - (Rebecca): He's like, never come back. 0:57:02 - (Julie): I know. 0:57:02 - (Mike): No, no, I'm. I'm thinking, definitely come back. 0:57:08 - (Rebecca): In his head. He's like, shut up. 0:57:10 - (Julie): Yeah, no, but. And you're always. All of you, you're always so supportive. So thank you very much. So you were the first people. People I reached out to whenever we were planning this whole Texas Live event. Next Wednesday, October 1st. Texas dot com. 0:57:25 - (Mike): Go ahead. 0:57:25 - (Julie): Tickets are free. 0:57:26 - (Rebecca): Tickets are for seven to nine. Seven to nine. Seven to nine. Bring a ghost story. 0:57:29 - (Julie): Please. Please come out. But seriously. And you guys are always so sweet and supportive and. Are you having another Christmas party this year? 0:57:37 - (Rebecca): Oh, my God. Can we talk about your Christmas party for a second? 0:57:40 - (Julie): That was so much fun. 0:57:41 - (Rebecca): I had the best. 0:57:42 - (Julie): Best time. 0:57:43 - (Rebecca): I had the best time. And then I took pictures with Dale Hansen. Yes. We all. 0:57:47 - (Julie): Yes. 0:57:47 - (Rebecca): And then my dad was like, why would you be hanging out with Dale Hansen? And I was like, well, I got an invite to Mike Reiner's Christmas party. And he was like, how do you know Mike Reiner? And I was like, dad. I was like, I was kind of important for a hot second in the Dallas market. Like, can I not get some props? And then I was like, I was on Mike's podcast, and he was like, okay. 0:58:09 - (Julie): Like, he didn't believe me. 0:58:11 - (Rebecca): He didn't believe that I. I knew you. 0:58:13 - (Mike): Didn't we take a picture last time? 0:58:14 - (Rebecca): Of course we did. 0:58:16 - (Mike): Did you show it? 0:58:17 - (Rebecca): I did. I was like, look, we're friends. I was like, me and Mike, me and Dale, me and Sarah Blaskovich from the Delta. I was like, look at these people. I know. He's not convinced. 0:58:27 - (Julie): Okay? And we will stop. I promise we're gonna stop talking after this. But I want to know, did you watch the Dallas Cowboys Netflix show and what did you think of it? 0:58:37 - (Mike): Yeah, I did watch it. 0:58:38 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:58:40 - (Mike): There were not a whole lot of surprises in there. Probably what it did for me more than anything else is hit me in my feels. 0:58:52 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:58:52 - (Rebecca): Oh. 0:58:53 - (Mike): Because it kind of put me back in the place when Jimmy was here, you know, and things were good and things were wild and things were fun and they didn't have to go out. They. They didn't go out there every Sunday worrying about getting their asses kicked, because if there was going to be any ass kick, they were going to be the ones that did it. 0:59:12 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:59:13 - (Mike): And it just kind of put me back in that place and just made me look back at it and go, yeah, man, that was good times. 0:59:20 - (Rebecca): Honestly, you probably have some stories of your own that are better than what they showed in the documentary, am I right? 0:59:26 - (Mike): I've got a few. 0:59:27 - (Rebecca): That's what I thought I was like. I remember one time I did an appearance with Charles Haley, and if you've read the book, what is it? Dallas North 40. Is that what it is? There's some stories about Charles Haley in there. And my knowing of Charles Haley is he's the most wonderful human being on the planet. Nicest guy. And when you read those stories, like, I can't imagine that. Like, I can't. I just can't imagine that you would do that. 0:59:51 - (Julie): Yeah. 0:59:52 - (Mike): I never had any problems with him either. 0:59:53 - (Rebecca): No. He was such a great friend. 0:59:54 - (Mike): He was always pretty cool to me. 0:59:56 - (Rebecca): Yes. 0:59:57 - (Mike): But I was, you know, told and taught by those who know. Approach it with caution. 1:00:04 - (Rebecca): Oh, yeah. 1:00:05 - (Mike): Just be ready for anything, because with him, you never know where he's at. 1:00:10 - (Julie): Wow. 1:00:10 - (Mike): You know, but I never had a bad interaction with him at all. 1:00:14 - (Rebecca): Same. 1:00:14 - (Mike): I didn't have a whole ton of them, but the ones I had were. Were good. 1:00:18 - (Rebecca): Right? 1:00:19 - (Mike): I mean, you asked me, Charles Haley. I say, good, dude. 1:00:22 - (Rebecca): Yeah, same. I. I will. I will say the same again. I just. I'm not sure I can believe some of those stories. No, he's over here shaking his head. 1:00:31 - (Mike): He probably had more than any of us. All right, thank you, girls. 1:00:42 - (Rebecca): Thank you for having us. 1:00:43 - (Mike): Always. Great having you in. 1:00:44 - (Julie): Thank you. Thanks for having Lie. 1:00:48 - (Rebecca): I don't trust you. 1:00:50 - (Mike): Oh, trust me. 1:00:51 - (Rebecca): Like, they gotta get out of my house at least. 1:00:54 - (Julie): You know, though, if you're kind of tired, you can just have us in and, like, ask one question, and then we will talk and talk. Yeah. Two hours straight. 1:01:02 - (Mike): And I like that. I mean, I like people who come in here and are talkative, you know? 1:01:08 - (Rebecca): Yeah. 1:01:08 - (Mike): I want people to come in here and tell their story. 1:01:10 - (Rebecca): Right. 1:01:11 - (Mike): You know? 1:01:11 - (Rebecca): Well, that's what your podcast is about. Yeah. 1:01:13 - (Mike): There's nothing about me telling mine. It's about them telling theirs. I want to hear theirs. I want to hear how they got to where they are. Everybody knows mine, you know? 1:01:22 - (Rebecca): Right. 1:01:23 - (Mike): So thanks. I appreciate it. 1:01:26 - (Julie): Thank you. 1:01:26 - (Rebecca): So we'll be back next week. Don't open that door. Seriously? 1:01:36 - (Julie): Yeah. And keep us posted on Fred. 1:01:38 - (Rebecca): Yeah, we want to know about Fred. 1:01:40 - (Mike): I'll keep you posted on the goings on. Of course. Fred. 1:01:42 - (Rebecca): Fred, get to work. This week. 1:01:44 - (Julie): Come on, Fred, get to it. 1:01:46 - (Mike): Yep. We have an outlet for you now, Fred. 1:01:48 - (Rebecca): Yep. 1:01:50 - (Mike): They could take you and make you a star. I can't. All right.
