- 0:27Speaker 1: sty don't join. You gotta gotta turn you, you gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn turnout, turn you got to turn out to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water. Come come on your back, huh.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will a good morning everybody. You all listening
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the voice, come on dig me now, one and
- 2:08Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show. How good
- 2:11Speaker 1: is God? Think about it? Just take a slight inventory
- 2:15Speaker 1: of your own life and say it to yourself when
- 2:17Speaker 1: you get through, how good is God? Think of all
- 2:20Speaker 1: the small things, all this because that's him. You breathe,
- 2:23Speaker 1: that's him. You steal him. That's him. You got another chance.
- 2:29Speaker 1: That's him. You ain't out of here. That's him. You
- 2:33Speaker 1: got any measure of health, that's him. You think it's
- 2:36Speaker 1: more to it than it really is, that it already
- 2:38Speaker 1: showed up to be. That's him. All of that. You
- 2:41Speaker 1: got any dreams or aspirations, you dream of other things,
- 2:45Speaker 1: that's him. All that, that's him, that's him, him close,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you got that's him. Every time you eat. That's why
- 2:52Speaker 1: they had this thing called you say your grace. That's him.
- 2:55Speaker 1: That's him, man, that's him. It's amazing when you take
- 2:58Speaker 1: a small inventory how you find out how big God
- 3:01Speaker 1: really is in your life. Now, the more you turn
- 3:04Speaker 1: yourself over to him, the bigger he can be. For you. See,
- 3:07Speaker 1: he'll only be as big as you let him. It's
- 3:10Speaker 1: one thing about God. Now, he's a gentleman. He can
- 3:13Speaker 1: make you do anything. You know, you get too big
- 3:17Speaker 1: for him, you know you you you, you lose your humbleness.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He can humble you. Now. God created man with the
- 3:26Speaker 1: power of choice. We're the only creature he created that.
- 3:31Speaker 1: He gave us the total power of choice when we mate,
- 3:34Speaker 1: who we mate with. You know everything, all of it. Man.
- 3:39Speaker 1: It's the choice what we want to be, how much
- 3:41Speaker 1: we want to make, where we want to live, what
- 3:43Speaker 1: climate we want to live in. We can live in
- 3:45Speaker 1: cold climates, high climates. You know, we speak different languages.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You can go learn another language. A bear can't do
- 3:53Speaker 1: nothing but be a bear. Is he can't go learn
- 3:57Speaker 1: how to be a fox. He can't go learn how
- 4:01Speaker 1: to be an artor he just can't. An ostrich is
- 4:04Speaker 1: an ostrich man. He can't come out of here and
- 4:06Speaker 1: fight like a lion. A lion is a lion. A
- 4:09Speaker 1: lion eating meat. He can't eat vegetables. I don't care
- 4:12Speaker 1: how much meat ain't around. He'll lay down and pull
- 4:16Speaker 1: up out of here and die because he can't eat grass.
- 4:19Speaker 1: He's just a lion. Man. You understand this that God
- 4:23Speaker 1: gave us. We are the one creature he created that
- 4:26Speaker 1: has total power of choice. You can make every decision
- 4:30Speaker 1: in your life. What kind of watch you like? That's
- 4:32Speaker 1: the one you can buy. You want to live in Switzerland,
- 4:37Speaker 1: go ahead. You don't like Switzerland, you move to Miami.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You want to live your life a crime, Go ahead,
- 4:45Speaker 1: that's you. He gave you the power of choice. You
- 4:47Speaker 1: want to do right? Come on, So now look at
- 4:52Speaker 1: this thing. We are all the results of a series
- 4:59Speaker 1: of decis acisions that we have made. If we could
- 5:03Speaker 1: just identify that the problem is us, we could began
- 5:08Speaker 1: the solution. See that's the problem, y'all, it's us. It's
- 5:14Speaker 1: what we do. I threw my life down the hill.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many years based on some
- 5:21Speaker 1: decisions that I was making. Now I can justify my
- 5:24Speaker 1: decision with I wasn't happy, and I was doing this
- 5:26Speaker 1: and I was in misery, and y'all on that, ye
- 5:29Speaker 1: yes to you when you get through. You made the
- 5:31Speaker 1: decisions though, and you can look at this anywhere you
- 5:34Speaker 1: want to, y'all. But at the end of the day,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I'm just talking to people that's really really wanting to
- 5:38Speaker 1: improve their position in life. And how do you do that?
- 5:43Speaker 1: You got to have a solution. How do you come
- 5:46Speaker 1: up with a solution? You got to identify the problem
- 5:51Speaker 1: to even began to solve it. But if the problem
- 5:55Speaker 1: ain't ever you, how are you gonna solve something that
- 5:59Speaker 1: ain't you? See? Okay, let me look at this one.
- 6:07Speaker 1: If somebody said, like I got a child of mine, man,
- 6:10Speaker 1: I just do right here. Man, I don't even wanna
- 6:12Speaker 1: get into it this morning. Or I'm struggling with this
- 6:15Speaker 1: this boy. But man, you go to people, you're asking
- 6:18Speaker 1: why they do so? I just I just wasn't taking
- 6:22Speaker 1: care of business. Why I just didn't take care of business? Boy,
- 6:27Speaker 1: do you understand that your life is gonna be filled
- 6:30Speaker 1: with you got to take care of business. So when
- 6:32Speaker 1: you're gonna start, you know what I mean, You can't
- 6:36Speaker 1: you can't, you can't go through life blaming everybody. It's
- 6:40Speaker 1: got to be you. See, you can fix you. You
- 6:42Speaker 1: can't fix nobody else if you keep getting married and
- 6:45Speaker 1: the marriages don't work. Hello, Hello, Hello, could it be you?
- 6:52Speaker 1: South finally had to sit down and just make that decision.
- 6:55Speaker 1: They don't need me coming on the radio talking about
- 6:57Speaker 1: nobody else and what they did to me and y'all
- 6:59Speaker 1: just no, no, no, no, man, what about the part
- 7:02Speaker 1: you played in it? Because see, if you got a
- 7:04Speaker 1: good marriage, you got a part to play in that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: If you got a bad one, you got a part
- 7:09Speaker 1: to play in that. Even if it just get down
- 7:13Speaker 1: to you the one picked them, how about that, mister, mister,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I made a decision. The problem is usually within yourself.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Do you know That's the quickest, an easy way to
- 7:23Speaker 1: fix your life. That way, You ain't got to check
- 7:26Speaker 1: with nobody. Here's the beauty of going on and admitting
- 7:29Speaker 1: that is you. You don't have to check or clear
- 7:33Speaker 1: it with nobody to start the repair process. You don't
- 7:37Speaker 1: need anybody's permission. You ain't got to put it before
- 7:40Speaker 1: the review board to see if it'll pass. It ain't
- 7:43Speaker 1: got to go through Congress. You ain't got to hope
- 7:45Speaker 1: that you're local politician get their hands on it to
- 7:48Speaker 1: make a phone call for you. You ain't got to
- 7:50Speaker 1: ask any counselors to come in and sit with you.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You don't have to check in the rehab. All you
- 7:54Speaker 1: got to do is decide the problem is me. I'm
- 7:58Speaker 1: gonna start change me. Identify the problem, and start with
- 8:06Speaker 1: the part that you can own up to. Once you
- 8:12Speaker 1: identify the problem, you can start planning on how to
- 8:15Speaker 1: fix it or how to get to accomplishing something. But
- 8:19Speaker 1: remember this planning is important. If you fail to plan,
- 8:24Speaker 1: then please plan to fail. If you don't know how
- 8:28Speaker 1: to make a plan, let's just start with the basics.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Just make a list of what you want. Make this
- 8:36Speaker 1: list and then go to God in prayer with an
- 8:40Speaker 1: open mind and open your mind up to all the
- 8:46Speaker 1: clean opportunities that are available here. Why a lot of
- 8:50Speaker 1: people won't succeed because certain opportunities come along you don't
- 8:53Speaker 1: want to do them. That kills me. Man, when I
- 8:56Speaker 1: hear here, I ain't doing that. I know young comedians
- 8:59Speaker 1: that come to me all the time talking about Man,
- 9:01Speaker 1: what you're not saying. Man, Just take every gig you can,
- 9:04Speaker 1: no matter what they pay. Well, listen to me, son.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You can go make that money that they pay, or
- 9:11Speaker 1: you can make the decision to sit at home and
- 9:14Speaker 1: make no money. It's a comedy, hard business. They ain't
- 9:18Speaker 1: paying but one hundred dollars. You gotta drive, drive fifty miles.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But if you drive fifty miles and you make a
- 9:24Speaker 1: hundred and you stand on that stage for thirty minutes,
- 9:27Speaker 1: you are now thirty minutes better than you was the
- 9:29Speaker 1: last time you went on stage. Oh, man, I ain't man,
- 9:34Speaker 1: they don't pay me. I ain't coming. You ain't going
- 9:36Speaker 1: to be a comedian, man, not not like this. Hell,
- 9:40Speaker 1: A lot of people just don't want to do what's
- 9:43Speaker 1: necessary to do. So when the opportunity presents itself and
- 9:46Speaker 1: you open up your mind to it, man, then get
- 9:48Speaker 1: ready to go on and do it. Man, identify your
- 9:52Speaker 1: problem today, start with the part dash you're morning show
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, let me have your attention, please, The
- 10:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show is alive and well. God is
- 10:10Speaker 1: in the blessing business. He's still in control. I have
- 10:13Speaker 1: given no one else permission to lead God or direct me.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'm on the full direction of my heavenly Father. And
- 10:22Speaker 1: when I listen to that direction, it always turns out
- 10:25Speaker 1: extremely well for me. Now, because he gives us the
- 10:28Speaker 1: power of choice, I choose not to sometimes. Why because
- 10:32Speaker 1: I'm human, and why because sometimes I just want to
- 10:35Speaker 1: do what I want to do, and guess what happens
- 10:37Speaker 1: every single time I fall short, mess up and blow it.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I strongly suggest Steve Harvey that you start listening all
- 10:45Speaker 1: the time. One If I just did it one hundred
- 10:47Speaker 1: percent at a time, I'd be much much better off.
- 10:50Speaker 1: But I don't, and then neither do you. So here
- 10:53Speaker 1: we are. This is the Morning Show. Shirley Strawberry, Hey,
- 10:56Speaker 1: good morning, Steve, Morning, Carler and Steve, what's up? Crew? Hello,
- 11:02Speaker 1: that junior, y'all morning up, Morning air by and ladies
- 11:06Speaker 1: and gentlemen. The only person that's not on the zoom
- 11:08Speaker 1: call because technically he can't figure it out, but he's
- 11:12Speaker 1: here with us verbally. His name is Thomas Miles. Yes,
- 11:16Speaker 1: so I'm in the building by three three two one,
- 11:21Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm in the build. You thought you hit
- 11:25Speaker 1: the button? I mean I I did it right. Jeff
- 11:29Speaker 1: told you how to get one. I didn't see, sir, Ok,
- 11:36Speaker 1: he told you you don't let me ash y'all something.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Do you see Tommy on y'all computer? Yes, yeah, yes, yes,
- 11:43Speaker 1: right there, I'm here. Won't you hit them? Tik tac
- 11:46Speaker 1: toe buttons up in the carter and you know see
- 11:49Speaker 1: when I do it, I get it. But I got
- 11:50Speaker 1: two pictures of day. I do too. Yeah, I do too. Yeah,
- 11:54Speaker 1: all right, Chauce, So here we go. You know what,
- 11:57Speaker 1: It's been an amazing twenty twenty because first it was
- 12:01Speaker 1: all about COVID nineteen. Now it's all about the murder
- 12:06Speaker 1: of Edison Black Mead androp. Yeah yeah, I mean you
- 12:12Speaker 1: cut on the news now they don't even mention COVID.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I mean it was every day, how many deaths after
- 12:17Speaker 1: deaths after death? But I want you all to be
- 12:19Speaker 1: careful because this president is doing something that he does
- 12:24Speaker 1: better than anybody I've ever seen. And be very careful,
- 12:28Speaker 1: y'all because my closing remarks I'm going to touch on
- 12:30Speaker 1: that today, but I may wait. I may do it
- 12:33Speaker 1: before closing remark. I may just do it one of
- 12:35Speaker 1: the breaks I get and then run it again for
- 12:38Speaker 1: closing because I have watched what is happening and I
- 12:41Speaker 1: want to four warn the people out there because I'm
- 12:45Speaker 1: sixty three years old, and I've done I've been through
- 12:48Speaker 1: so many protests. I've seen how it works, and I
- 12:51Speaker 1: know how the system has developed a way to knock
- 12:55Speaker 1: down all protests. And they're doing it again. And I
- 12:57Speaker 1: want us to be aware and be careful. I want
- 13:00Speaker 1: you to protest, but it has to be done peacefully.
- 13:04Speaker 1: If see, you could say no justice, no peace. But
- 13:07Speaker 1: once you say no peace, they it allows him to
- 13:11Speaker 1: change the narrative. And I want to show you what
- 13:14Speaker 1: they're doing so we can be smarter and not hustle backwards.
- 13:19Speaker 1: That's what we want to try. You. Let's get at
- 13:23Speaker 1: the beginning of the year we lost Kobe, because I
- 13:26Speaker 1: think that's where it all started. Man, Yeah, it started,
- 13:31Speaker 1: you know all right? Um wow. Coming up at thirty
- 13:35Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, President Trump threatens to deploy
- 13:38Speaker 1: the military on US protesters. We'll talk about that right
- 13:44Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show well, the protests in
- 13:50Speaker 1: the country have now lasted for seven days, and yesterday
- 13:53Speaker 1: President Trump said he is the president of law and order,
- 13:58Speaker 1: and that's why he's deploying the thousands of military troops
- 14:01Speaker 1: to shut down rioters and looters across the country. If necessary.
- 14:06Speaker 1: But before he spoke, the military police fired tear gas
- 14:09Speaker 1: and rubber bullets into a crowd of peaceful protesters. Take
- 14:14Speaker 1: a listen to the president if he vowed to keep
- 14:16Speaker 1: the citizens safe. This is why I am taking immediate
- 14:20Speaker 1: presidential action to stop the violence and restore security and
- 14:25Speaker 1: safety in Americans. I am mobilizing all available federal resources,
- 14:30Speaker 1: civilian and military to stop the rioting and looting, to
- 14:35Speaker 1: end the destruction and arson, and to protect the rights
- 14:39Speaker 1: of law abiding Americans, including your Second Amendment. This is
- 14:44Speaker 1: the worst Wait wait, wait, wait, wait, it isn't a
- 14:48Speaker 1: second Amendment to right to bear arms? To bear arms? Yes,
- 14:52Speaker 1: this has nothing to do with that. This has nothing
- 14:56Speaker 1: to do with the right to bear arms. He just
- 15:00Speaker 1: takes repeated shots at campaigning. But many I have something
- 15:07Speaker 1: I want to say. I've thought about this today and
- 15:11Speaker 1: I tried to find the best way to say it.
- 15:14Speaker 1: But I want to say to all the protesters, I
- 15:17Speaker 1: want to come to you as Steve Harvey. I want
- 15:20Speaker 1: to come to you as a sixty three year old
- 15:22Speaker 1: black man. I want to come to you as uncle Steve.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I want to come to you as whatever affection you
- 15:31Speaker 1: have for me. I want you to understand that I'm
- 15:34Speaker 1: coming at you with this from a place of nothing
- 15:38Speaker 1: but love, because i am first and foremost African American.
- 15:43Speaker 1: When I wake up in the morning, I can never
- 15:45Speaker 1: escape that. It is a badge that I have worn
- 15:48Speaker 1: with honor for sixty three years. I've never tried to
- 15:51Speaker 1: run for the fact that I am black. I'm proud
- 15:55Speaker 1: of it. I'm proud of my people. I'm proud of
- 15:58Speaker 1: what we've overcome and how we've come this far in
- 16:00Speaker 1: spite of all the obstacles. So what I'm saying to
- 16:03Speaker 1: you is coming from nothing but a place of love.
- 16:07Speaker 1: The subject that I want to talk to you about
- 16:09Speaker 1: today is go home. Don't give him the satisfaction. And
- 16:17Speaker 1: I want you to understand what I'm saying to you. See,
- 16:20Speaker 1: listen to me, people, I'm sixty three years old. Infiltraders
- 16:24Speaker 1: have been hired to incite riots for years. Infiltraders have
- 16:30Speaker 1: been hired to incite riots for years. See the system
- 16:34Speaker 1: has learned over the years how to deflate protest. See.
- 16:40Speaker 1: The last protests that was successful in this country to
- 16:44Speaker 1: my knowledge, was doing the Civil rights movement. See Martin
- 16:48Speaker 1: Luther King had the cleanest way to get results through
- 16:52Speaker 1: peaceful protest. Now, whether you agree with it or not,
- 16:56Speaker 1: it worked, so listen to me, because it produce changed
- 17:00Speaker 1: in the voting rights at It produced things like affirmative action,
- 17:05Speaker 1: schools became integrated, and a spotlight got put on Bull
- 17:10Speaker 1: Connors down there with the things that he was doing
- 17:13Speaker 1: to protesters in Alabama, amongst other things, the rolls of
- 17:18Speaker 1: parts into death. All of this came about through peaceful protests. Now,
- 17:24Speaker 1: since then, the system has learned how to change the
- 17:30Speaker 1: narrative of all protests starting in peace and gaining momentum.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Once they see that a peaceful protest is gaining momentum,
- 17:40Speaker 1: they simply wait on the proper time to incite the
- 17:45Speaker 1: masses with either words or deeds. I'm telling you, I
- 17:48Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about him, which then allows them
- 17:52Speaker 1: to change the narrative or simply flip the script. Listen
- 17:57Speaker 1: to me, folks go home, don't give them the satisfaction.
- 18:02Speaker 1: And I want to show you what's happening. Now. Our
- 18:05Speaker 1: leadership has waited on this exact moment in time twice already. See,
- 18:12Speaker 1: instead of addressing the problem, he finds a way of
- 18:16Speaker 1: making a different narrative. Let me give you an example.
- 18:21Speaker 1: He found a way to make Calin Calin Kaepernick's kneeling,
- 18:25Speaker 1: which it was about this very topic and outrage that
- 18:28Speaker 1: we're feeling right now over the recent murders of innocent
- 18:31Speaker 1: black men. See, Colin Kaepernick was right, he had it right,
- 18:37Speaker 1: but the flip, the changing of the narrative was made.
- 18:41Speaker 1: See his kneeling became against the military and the flag.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Oh man, don't you know what happened then? See that
- 18:50Speaker 1: end at all the kneeling. It cost him his career.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But even more hurtful was we were no longer talking
- 18:57Speaker 1: about racial injustice and police brute reality, and our leadership
- 19:02Speaker 1: came in and made himself to be a patriot. And
- 19:06Speaker 1: now it's happening again. Listen to me, y'all, go home.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Don't give him the satisfaction. See, once peaceful protests turns
- 19:15Speaker 1: into burning and looting, which is being incited by people
- 19:22Speaker 1: strategically placed to stir up their angle and to start
- 19:25Speaker 1: the burning that start the looting, it now now allows
- 19:29Speaker 1: them to cause a thing to happen. It allows them
- 19:36Speaker 1: knowing this will happen, knowing that they've been waiting on
- 19:39Speaker 1: this to happen. It now makes it all about destruction
- 19:43Speaker 1: of property and lawless criminal behavior called looting, and it
- 19:48Speaker 1: is set up to kill the original cause for protests.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So now they can send in the national god, squash
- 19:55Speaker 1: this civil unrest and do it all under the law
- 19:58Speaker 1: of breaking laws and curfew. And the leadership in this
- 20:01Speaker 1: country who stopped talking about the invisible enemy called Corona
- 20:06Speaker 1: because he couldn't defeat that, so he found the visible
- 20:10Speaker 1: enemy again, and it's us again. We are the visible enemy.
- 20:16Speaker 1: So he's now calling himself the law and order president.
- 20:20Speaker 1: So here he comes in to save the day. Ain't
- 20:22Speaker 1: open his mouth one time about healing our nation or
- 20:25Speaker 1: trying to show support against racism, none of that. Now
- 20:29Speaker 1: he gonna just shut all these lawbreakers down. Young people,
- 20:34Speaker 1: go home. Don't give him the satisfaction, because this is
- 20:39Speaker 1: all he waited on. For the first time since the
- 20:42Speaker 1: civil rights movements, we have non whites joining in. They
- 20:46Speaker 1: are listening. Don't let them change the narrative. Go home
- 20:50Speaker 1: in peace, all right, Steve, thank you for that. We'll
- 20:53Speaker 1: be back. It's more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 20:56Speaker 1: right after this morning show coming up at the top
- 21:02Speaker 1: of the hour. Miss Anna's standing by with today's national
- 21:05Speaker 1: news update, and today, guys is blackout Tuesday in the
- 21:09Speaker 1: music industry. We'll talk about it at the top of
- 21:11Speaker 1: the hour, but right now, the nephew in the building
- 21:13Speaker 1: to make us laugh a little bit. Right now, we'll
- 21:15Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for his naff?
- 21:18Speaker 1: I got enhancement right now, Yes, right now, enhancing. Do
- 21:25Speaker 1: you know what's going on in the world. I know
- 21:28Speaker 1: what's going on, But there's a time when you need
- 21:30Speaker 1: to enhance yourself. You know what I like about your igness, Tommy.
- 21:35Speaker 1: The timing of it is a clue. It's just perfect
- 21:42Speaker 1: if you're gonna be ignorant. Didn't be ignorant, boy at
- 21:46Speaker 1: all times? Do you not? I mean people do not.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Many people need some enhancements right now after the police

- 23:21Speaker 1: your your your breast size? Hi, I'm sorry, I didn't hear.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I didn't hear the last question. Would you say? I said,
- 23:28Speaker 1: would you? Would you be willing to enhance your breast size?
- 23:32Speaker 1: My breath? Siye? Do you think you would have a
- 23:35Speaker 1: problem getting your breath enlarged? Oh? You come from human resources.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm built here in human resources. Yes okay, And you're
- 23:44Speaker 1: asking me about my breath eye. Yes, I'm asking you,
- 23:47Speaker 1: do your mind? Would you mind getting them in large? What?
- 23:50Speaker 1: What the what the higher ups feel is that it
- 23:53Speaker 1: actually beautifies the entire working area. And really I don't
- 23:57Speaker 1: care what the higher ups still or how whom ever
- 24:00Speaker 1: feels about my breath side. That's really inappropriate, very inappropriate.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I'm sorry. What's your supervisor's name? Williams? Um, I'm William.
- 24:11Speaker 1: You're Williams and you're calling me asking me about my
- 24:14Speaker 1: breast side? Right? Correct? Is that what you're asking me?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Is that what you're asking me? Listen, calm down a minute. Listen, No, no, no, no, no,
- 24:22Speaker 1: this is no calm down a minute. This is very inappropriate. Okay,
- 24:26Speaker 1: what does my breath side have to do with my employment?
- 24:30Speaker 1: How is that? I don't work for Hooters? Is not?
- 24:32Speaker 1: Who are we hooters? Now? Really? No? What? What? Listen
- 24:35Speaker 1: to me? If you look around the room, if you
- 24:37Speaker 1: look around the room and you get when you get
- 24:38Speaker 1: to work, you'll notice that most of the girls have
- 24:41Speaker 1: had theirs in large, and it's really, are you right now?
- 24:44Speaker 1: Are you look around them? What are you? First of all,
- 24:47Speaker 1: I'm not looking and going to work and looking at
- 24:49Speaker 1: other women. That's number one, that's number one. Number two,
- 24:53Speaker 1: why are you calling me from human resources asking me
- 24:56Speaker 1: to look around them? That's really ridiculous, is it? Not?
- 24:59Speaker 1: A know what? Professionals? We're all professionals, but what we're
- 25:03Speaker 1: trying to do? William Bill? William Bill is your name? No? No,
- 25:07Speaker 1: who's your supervisor? Okay? You know what? Why don't we
- 25:10Speaker 1: do this? Let's start over and let me try to
- 25:13Speaker 1: How don't we do this? Who is your supervisor? Because
- 25:15Speaker 1: first of all, I've never heard of a William Bill
- 25:17Speaker 1: or whomever you say it's William. They call me Bill
- 25:22Speaker 1: for sure Williams. Because you're calling me like really inappropriately,
- 25:26Speaker 1: and you're you're being really nasty right now. This is ridiculous. Land.
- 25:31Speaker 1: We're gonna pay for half of this? Are you? Are
- 25:33Speaker 1: you serious? Right now? You know what you're gonna pay for.
- 25:36Speaker 1: You're gonna pay for a whole lot, because I'm I'm
- 25:38Speaker 1: about to press charges on you want for harassment and
- 25:41Speaker 1: to the company. Will be who's your supervisor? It doesn't matter,
- 25:47Speaker 1: It does not matter who my supervisors. It doesn't matter
- 25:50Speaker 1: who your supervisor is, because I'm quite sure they do
- 25:53Speaker 1: not approve of you calling around trying to get people
- 25:55Speaker 1: to in and there's nothing wrong, first of all, with
- 25:57Speaker 1: the way I look. There's nothing wrong with the size
- 25:59Speaker 1: of my friend. You don't agree. Don't complain about the
- 26:02Speaker 1: way I look. You don't. You don't agree that they're small.
- 26:04Speaker 1: You don't agree that to that this is the way. God,
- 26:06Speaker 1: maybe I don't have to have big breath. It don't
- 26:09Speaker 1: matter what I look like as long as I'm doing
- 26:11Speaker 1: my job. Like, aren't you serious right now? I don't
- 26:14Speaker 1: understand why there's a problem even thinking about taking on
- 26:17Speaker 1: the issue. You know you mean? Are you? Are you
- 26:19Speaker 1: serious right now? You're serious? I'm very serious, you know what.
- 26:24Speaker 1: It don't have to be an issue because I know
- 26:25Speaker 1: what human resources is like. You're calling me on some
- 26:28Speaker 1: real world dumb right now, talking some breast size that
- 26:32Speaker 1: we don't see how big you're after we beat out
- 26:35Speaker 1: of you. You understand that, you get that because we're mean.
- 26:40Speaker 1: When my man gets to see who is calling me
- 26:43Speaker 1: asking me about my deal? You know what? You know
- 26:46Speaker 1: what you lash? I think you're taking it the wrong way.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I think we don't even we don't even need to
- 26:50Speaker 1: talk the more, and we don't even got to talk
- 26:52Speaker 1: about You understand that we have nothing to talk about. Phil.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Just just understand this. You have set yourself up with
- 26:58Speaker 1: the right. You just set us us up with the right.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now. Understand that. Please know that,
- 27:04Speaker 1: Please know that you got the right number. Monday, Monday morning,
- 27:07Speaker 1: nine o'clock, I need for you to be at human Resources.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Understand you, I will. I will be here at Human

- 27:16Speaker 1: be there and we'll talk about when we get there.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Keep running your mouth and know this that this conversation
- 27:22Speaker 1: is is gonna get put out there and everybody gonna
- 27:24Speaker 1: know about this organization, this company. And I'm soon ya.
- 27:29Speaker 1: You understanding that? Why do you continue to wor wid wide? No,
- 27:33Speaker 1: there's no wild why nothing. Understand that you heard what
- 27:35Speaker 1: I said right, I'm hearing what you're saying. Will y'all

- 27:42Speaker 1: but you will do on Monday. I promise you that
- 27:46Speaker 1: that's cool with me. You have no idea you're dealing
- 27:49Speaker 1: with you. I didn't know what dealing you. You need
- 27:54Speaker 1: to watch your mouth wi mouth, bro. We do need
- 27:57Speaker 1: to know you were dealing with nephew Tommy. You need

- 28:42Speaker 1: Hold on, it's two men on this show right now.
- 28:45Speaker 1: That come on, do you remember your first enhancement? Do
- 28:51Speaker 1: you remember the show you put on on that first enhancement?
- 28:56Speaker 1: Steven is often quiet, right, come on, movement. This is
- 29:11Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. Thank you, Nephew.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Entertainment and National News right after this, you're listening to.
- 29:22Speaker 1: The music industry is pausing their everyday operations to protest
- 29:26Speaker 1: police violence against the black community. The black community is
- 29:30Speaker 1: our audience and we support them and our music industry
- 29:33Speaker 1: partners as they take a break to reflect on all
- 29:36Speaker 1: the recent events. We'll be here to provide information for
- 29:39Speaker 1: anyone that wants to do something. Go to iHeartRadio dot com,
- 29:44Speaker 1: Slash black Lives Matter. That's iHeartRadio dot com slash black
- 29:50Speaker 1: Lives Matter and follow hashtag blackout Tuesday, blackout Tuesday, all
- 29:56Speaker 1: day all right, and likeport and support okay, must I
- 30:02Speaker 1: like it. In June is Black History Month, So black
- 30:06Speaker 1: Music month. Black Music month. Yeah, yeah, and black history
- 30:09Speaker 1: we can go with that. Yeah, every month, every month
- 30:11Speaker 1: is Black History Month. Keeping it. We keep making history
- 30:15Speaker 1: every month. That's every month. Yeah. Yeah. And other entertainment news, Uh,
- 30:23Speaker 1: Andrew Cuomo, the governor of New York, may not be
- 30:26Speaker 1: running for president, but he's got fifty cents vote, okay. Uh.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Fifty posted a clip of Cuomo as he talks about
- 30:34Speaker 1: why protesters are angry. He ends with I'm with them.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Fifty captioned it, this is the guy right here, and
- 30:43Speaker 1: I think we can all agree with that. He has
- 30:45Speaker 1: proven himself to be a leader. Uh. He doesn't want to,
- 30:50Speaker 1: want he doesn't want to, but we need him to
- 30:53Speaker 1: be president. This is what fifty is saying. And I
- 30:56Speaker 1: think we've all have said that too, or vice president
- 30:59Speaker 1: with Biden or something. So so far, Governor Cuomo has
- 31:02Speaker 1: not expressed any interest in taking the top job. Yeah,
- 31:06Speaker 1: well we need him. Yeah, you know, man, he's showing
- 31:11Speaker 1: you what leadership is supposed to look like doing these
- 31:16Speaker 1: times right here. Uh, I'm just looking at the two crisis,
- 31:21Speaker 1: most recently the COVID and the continual murdering of innocent
- 31:28Speaker 1: black men. I've heard no words of comfort, of comfort
- 31:34Speaker 1: from this leaderships. If you all don't get out to
- 31:39Speaker 1: these polls and vote, shame on you. I mean, really,
- 31:43Speaker 1: this has to be enough to you. You can his
- 31:46Speaker 1: reaction to this, to to George Floyd's death, to Aubrey's death,
- 31:52Speaker 1: to any of his reaction to the Central Park five.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I mean, he's still never apologize for that. Right, You're right,
- 32:03Speaker 1: and he will not apologize for that. He has a
- 32:07Speaker 1: repeated thing, just the whole m oh of of of
- 32:12Speaker 1: what he's about. We cannot let this happen to us.
- 32:17Speaker 1: You've got to vote. You got to be angry at
- 32:21Speaker 1: the polls, man, he has to vote, because you can't.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Yesterday with what is all this, yesterday with him with
- 32:28Speaker 1: the Bible and taking pigeons with the Bible, that I
- 32:32Speaker 1: would be if there were any other photo in his
- 32:39Speaker 1: life coming from a church or walking in one, and
- 32:44Speaker 1: we've never seen that I'm him or something. You don't know.
- 32:54Speaker 1: You don't know him. He's a TV star and he
- 32:58Speaker 1: made that a TV moment. Be cool. He just knew,
- 33:01Speaker 1: you know. They said he was mad because the press
- 33:03Speaker 1: reported that he was. He was in the bunker on Friday.
- 33:06Speaker 1: So this is his yes, you know, retaliation coming out.
- 33:10Speaker 1: All right, Steve, time first to move on, get to
- 33:13Speaker 1: the headlight, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne trip okay, thank
- 33:16Speaker 1: you very much, and this is a trip with the news.
- 33:18Speaker 1: In Minneapolis, yesterday, people gathered at the site where George
- 33:21Speaker 1: Floyd was essentially strangled to death by a white now
- 33:24Speaker 1: ex cop and has demonstrate as chanted no justice, no piece,
- 33:28Speaker 1: prosecute the police. His younger brother, Terrence, who lives in Brooklyn,
- 33:32Speaker 1: New York, teared up. His knees buckled. He knelt as
- 33:35Speaker 1: he saw the sight. He was shaking and sobbing for
- 33:38Speaker 1: several minutes, and then he finally gathered himself up and
- 33:41Speaker 1: he tried to address the crowd. My family is God fearing. Yeah,
- 33:46Speaker 1: we upset. In every case of police brutality, the same
- 33:51Speaker 1: thing has been happening ring. Meanwhile, the families ordered another autopsy,
- 34:06Speaker 1: countering the one put out by Minnesota's medical examiner that
- 34:08Speaker 1: one shockingly claims that there was no evidence that George
- 34:12Speaker 1: Floyd died because he was strangled to death. In fact,
- 34:15Speaker 1: that Hennepin County Emmy claims that mister Floyd had underlying
- 34:18Speaker 1: health conditions and any quote potential intoxicants in his system,
- 34:22Speaker 1: but he doesn't say that there were any intoxicants in
- 34:24Speaker 1: the man's system or what they might have been. However,
- 34:27Speaker 1: the world famous pathologist, doctor Michael Baden was hired by
- 34:29Speaker 1: the Floyd family. He found what most people who saw
- 34:33Speaker 1: the video already assumed that George Floyd died as a
- 34:36Speaker 1: result of homicide caused by asphysia due to neck and
- 34:40Speaker 1: back compression, which led to a lack of blood flow
- 34:43Speaker 1: to the brain. President Trump got on the phone yesterday
- 34:46Speaker 1: with a bunch of the nation's democratic governors to talk
- 34:48Speaker 1: about the demonstrations and occasional violence resulting from the murders
- 34:52Speaker 1: of Black Jaga, armed Aubery, emergency medical tech Brianna Taylor,
- 34:56Speaker 1: and most recently, George Floyd, and according to ABC, the
- 34:59Speaker 1: call was rather contentious, with Trump wondering why they hadn't
- 35:02Speaker 1: asked him for more National guardsmen. A lot of men
- 35:04Speaker 1: we have all the women that you need for people
- 35:07Speaker 1: aren't calling them up. You have to dominate. If you
- 35:10Speaker 1: don't dominate, you're wasting your time. Yeah, that's what Trump said.
- 35:15Speaker 1: There should be a lot of jail time also, he
- 35:17Speaker 1: says for those who break the law. His critics warned
- 35:20Speaker 1: that the president's rhetoric is just adding gasoline to fires
- 35:23Speaker 1: that have erupted in many of the more than two
- 35:25Speaker 1: dozen cities that have been the scene of massive demonstrations
- 35:27Speaker 1: for racial justice. One cop overnight was shot in Las Vegas.
- 35:32Speaker 1: He was now report on life support. Four policemen were
- 35:35Speaker 1: shot in Saint Louis during a protest. Their injuries not
- 35:38Speaker 1: thought to be life threatening, and rests were made in
- 35:40Speaker 1: Atlanta's Centennial Park. Two cops run down n injured in Buffalo.
- 35:44Speaker 1: That driver's in custody. Meanwhile, President Trump's being criticized again
- 35:48Speaker 1: for using his American military to push past a bunch
- 35:52Speaker 1: of peaceful demonstrators yesterday, using tear gas in Washington just
- 35:55Speaker 1: so he could get a photo off of him facing
- 35:57Speaker 1: a church and holding a Bible. Acting to the photo
- 36:00Speaker 1: of he just turned away in and walked the other way,
- 36:03Speaker 1: I believe it or not. Dumb. Surprisingly Michael Jordan's actually
- 36:05Speaker 1: decided to say something. He says he's sat and pained
- 36:08Speaker 1: and plain angry. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:11Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Hey, everybody, we got a special
- 36:16Speaker 1: guest this morning, only for a little while, because we
- 36:18Speaker 1: understand the du rest that she's under. She's got a
- 36:21Speaker 1: big day in front of her. She had a long
- 36:23Speaker 1: night last night. Oh, we're talking with Mayor Kesha Lance Bottoms. Hey,
- 36:27Speaker 1: and I love you too, Steve. Listen. I just know, listen,
- 36:33Speaker 1: I know you catching it. This city is doing some
- 36:36Speaker 1: things that's beyond your control and you're up against it.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Let me just ask you this, mayor, how first of all,
- 36:43Speaker 1: in this how are you feeling? How are you doing?
- 36:46Speaker 1: You know what? See, the grace of God is sufficient. Um.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I mean I'm tired, but when I look at what's
- 36:53Speaker 1: happening with you know, we've got officers on the street
- 36:57Speaker 1: working these long shifts, and you got so many people
- 37:03Speaker 1: work in to just keep our city stable. You know,
- 37:07Speaker 1: my fatigue don't compare. Yeah. You know, I want our
- 37:14Speaker 1: listeners to understand. I want our protesters to understand this
- 37:20Speaker 1: that the policemen have a job to do. These police
- 37:24Speaker 1: officers are not the ones who had their knee on
- 37:28Speaker 1: George Floyd's neck. They wear a uniform. The majority of
- 37:32Speaker 1: police officers are well intending people. I do believe that
- 37:36Speaker 1: there are enough bad apples to bring the attention to
- 37:39Speaker 1: the problem that we have. And so I want our
- 37:42Speaker 1: protesters to understand something. Protest is beautiful, nothing wrong with protest,
- 37:48Speaker 1: but once it turns into burning and looting, we are
- 37:51Speaker 1: now allowing the system to change the narrative where it's
- 37:55Speaker 1: no longer going to be about mister Floyd's death and
- 37:58Speaker 1: the murder of innocent black men. It's going to be
- 38:00Speaker 1: about lawlessness. And I want people to take that into
- 38:03Speaker 1: consideration as we move forward with all of this. Yeah,
- 38:07Speaker 1: absolutely right. And even as we speak at our Joint
- 38:11Speaker 1: Operation Command Center, and I'm talking to guys who I
- 38:15Speaker 1: wanted to school with, talking to about people we went
- 38:20Speaker 1: to elementary school with. And I'm sharing that to say
- 38:23Speaker 1: because especially in Atlanta, so many of our officers and
- 38:27Speaker 1: our public safety personnel are a part of our community.
- 38:31Speaker 1: They believe in love Atlanta the same way that I do.
- 38:34Speaker 1: And when they take off their uniforms, their black men
- 38:38Speaker 1: in America, and they're raising black boys and black girls
- 38:42Speaker 1: in this country the same way so many of us are,
- 38:45Speaker 1: so their cares and concerns are the same. And you know,
- 38:49Speaker 1: in Atlanta, I have come to appreciate that we do
- 38:52Speaker 1: so many things differently. We are not perfect by any
- 38:58Speaker 1: stretch of imagination, but we get up each and every
- 39:01Speaker 1: day believing we can do better and be better. And
- 39:05Speaker 1: part of that is having these existing relationships with our
- 39:09Speaker 1: police officers in our communities through our purpose community centers,
- 39:13Speaker 1: our police athletic leads, and all of these other positive
- 39:17Speaker 1: in our actions so that we can create these last things, um,
- 39:23Speaker 1: meaningful relationships outside of them just chasing somebody down the
- 39:27Speaker 1: street locking them up. Right, Hey, mayor, hold on right quick,
- 39:32Speaker 1: We'll be back, right back with more mayor Kesha Lance
- 39:34Speaker 1: bottoms you're listening, all right, We're back with our mayor,
- 39:40Speaker 1: Kesha Lance Bottoms. Um. You know, here's here's what I
- 39:44Speaker 1: want to do. And we're gonna let the mayor go
- 39:45Speaker 1: because it's been a long it's it's been a long
- 39:48Speaker 1: night for her and it's it's gonna be a long day.
- 39:51Speaker 1: So listen to me. We want to put a human
- 39:54Speaker 1: side to a lot of these officers again. Listeners, hear me, clearly,
- 40:00Speaker 1: these are not This is not the policeman who had
- 40:04Speaker 1: his knee on George Floyd's neck. This is not who
- 40:09Speaker 1: these people are. Once they have a duty to honor
- 40:14Speaker 1: the curfew, to enforce the curfew, they have a duty.
- 40:19Speaker 1: If they can't, they cannot allow you to burn, and
- 40:23Speaker 1: they cannot allow you to loop. That's against the law.
- 40:28Speaker 1: So they have to do their job. What I'm asking
- 40:31Speaker 1: our listeners to do, and to talk to the young
- 40:34Speaker 1: people as out here, who are I look, I'm sixty three.
- 40:38Speaker 1: I've seen this my entire life. I know when protests
- 40:41Speaker 1: are working, and I know when it's starting to make
- 40:43Speaker 1: that turn. And these protests have made that ugly turn
- 40:47Speaker 1: to where it's getting into lawlessness, which is allowing this
- 40:50Speaker 1: president who could not fight the invisible enemy of Corona
- 40:55Speaker 1: and disappeared, has now found the visible enemy that he
- 40:58Speaker 1: can fight and again as us. So it's Colin Kaepernick before,
- 41:02Speaker 1: now it's us. And now they ain't gonna be about
- 41:04Speaker 1: these depths and racism and things of that nature. He's
- 41:07Speaker 1: gonna turn it into I am what he calls itself,
- 41:11Speaker 1: the protector the law and order president. Man. Please, He's
- 41:16Speaker 1: been waiting on this moment and we cannot give him
- 41:19Speaker 1: the satisfaction. Young people, Our mayor is making a true statement.
- 41:23Speaker 1: These people who serve in Atlanta live in Atlanta. A
- 41:27Speaker 1: lot of these brothers are raising black children and have
- 41:30Speaker 1: to have the same talks with them that we have
- 41:32Speaker 1: to have with ours about when you get pulled over
- 41:35Speaker 1: by the police. They're having the same conversations. Those brothers
- 41:38Speaker 1: feel the same pain we feeling every time a black
- 41:42Speaker 1: get killed. So we've got to get respectful of them
- 41:45Speaker 1: if they are respectful of us, and so far that's
- 41:48Speaker 1: been the case. And we need to just really, man,
- 41:52Speaker 1: be careful out here. Peaceful protests is the only way, Mayor,
- 42:00Speaker 1: get yourself some rest have a successful day to day.
- 42:04Speaker 1: We're pulling for you, and we love the job you're doing.
- 42:07Speaker 1: And keep your spirits up and we're talking to God
- 42:10Speaker 1: about this and we're talking to the people at the
- 42:12Speaker 1: same time. All right, thank you, I appreciate you. And
- 42:18Speaker 1: before its talking again soon, thank you very much. Mayor.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Keisha Bottoms. Everybody listen. She is very very busy, sounds exhausted.
- 42:30Speaker 1: This is hard, this is hard, this is her city. Yeah,
- 42:37Speaker 1: she loves this city. It's heartbreaking. Yeah, and man, it's tough.
- 42:41Speaker 1: I mean, if you were look, man, she trying to
- 42:44Speaker 1: save everybody's lives. She don't want none of her constituents
- 42:48Speaker 1: to die. She don't want none of her officers to die.
- 42:51Speaker 1: She don't want to keep putting everybody in jail. She
- 42:54Speaker 1: don't want this to happen because she no. Listen to me, y'all,
- 42:57Speaker 1: it's defeating the purpose of what we're trying to do.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Protest is excellent. I'm with the protesters. The sixty three
- 43:04Speaker 1: year old black dude on this mic understands the protest,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I'm with you. But once we turn it into burning
- 43:11Speaker 1: and looting, I'm telling you, man, it's all they want
- 43:14Speaker 1: to flip the script so they can now change the narrative.
- 43:17Speaker 1: It's all they want is to start talking about the lawlessness.
- 43:21Speaker 1: And look at this president. I am the law and
- 43:24Speaker 1: or the president. He ain't said nothing about ending racism.
- 43:28Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing about racial justice. He ain't said
- 43:31Speaker 1: he'd been waiting on this one moment that he can
- 43:35Speaker 1: stick his flag in the ground and talk about what
- 43:38Speaker 1: he gonna do. Now, he gonna send the military in
- 43:40Speaker 1: and guess who they're gonna start shooting. It's gonna be us.
- 43:44Speaker 1: And guess who they're gonna arrest. It's gonna be us.
- 43:47Speaker 1: And then guess who he gonna turn around and want
- 43:50Speaker 1: to vote for him in November. It's gonna be us
- 43:53Speaker 1: coming out. Got some black person on his damn campaign
- 43:58Speaker 1: talking about stay awoke, Stay woke, my ass. We wide awake,

- 53:59Speaker 1: on tight, we got it for you. Here. It is
- 54:01Speaker 1: the Strawberry Lenny. All right, thank you, nephew. This one
- 54:04Speaker 1: says I am the only one that can have sex
- 54:09Speaker 1: in my house. That is the subject. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:13Speaker 1: I am a thirty seven year old divorced man and
- 54:16Speaker 1: I am in one hell of a situation. I have
- 54:20Speaker 1: a five year old son that has a lot of
- 54:22Speaker 1: health issue, so my ex wife and I decided it
- 54:25Speaker 1: was best if we were all on lockdown together. I
- 54:28Speaker 1: have custody of my son, but she helps me out
- 54:31Speaker 1: a lot with his medical care, so she moved back
- 54:33Speaker 1: in with us. Temporarily. Everything was cool at first, but
- 54:38Speaker 1: by mid April, my ex was up to her old tricks.
- 54:41Speaker 1: She comments about everything that she hates about me, and
- 54:45Speaker 1: our arguments have gotten pretty intense. So I am ready
- 54:49Speaker 1: for her to go. I have a new girlfriend and
- 54:52Speaker 1: she comes by to visit me, and we set out
- 54:54Speaker 1: back on the deck instead of her coming inside because
- 54:57Speaker 1: of my son's health. During my girlfriend's last visit, my
- 55:01Speaker 1: ex wife came outside and she said she's surprised that
- 55:05Speaker 1: I'd found a woman that can put up with mediocre sex.
- 55:09Speaker 1: And you guys won't be ready for this one. My
- 55:13Speaker 1: tiny sex organ. My girlfriend and I haven't had sex yet.
- 55:21Speaker 1: The final straw was on Saturday. I went to the
- 55:23Speaker 1: grocery store and got home and there was a man
- 55:26Speaker 1: laid up in my guest bedroom with my ex wife
- 55:30Speaker 1: while my child was asleep in the next room. I
- 55:33Speaker 1: heard a man, so I barged into the room because
- 55:36Speaker 1: it's my house. He was asked politely to leave because
- 55:40Speaker 1: he could be putting my son's health at risk. I
- 55:44Speaker 1: got into a big argument with my ex and now
- 55:47Speaker 1: I really want to put her out, but I need
- 55:49Speaker 1: her here to help care for our son while I'm
- 55:52Speaker 1: still working from home. It was her infidelity that led
- 55:55Speaker 1: to our divorce, so I was stupid to think this
- 55:58Speaker 1: arrangement would work. I kindly told her that she's not
- 56:02Speaker 1: allowed guests inside my home while we are all quarantined.
- 56:06Speaker 1: She says, I'm just jealous. Trust me, that ain't it
- 56:09Speaker 1: at all. I just don't want anybody else having sex
- 56:13Speaker 1: in my house. Am I wrong for this? Well? You know,
- 56:17Speaker 1: how can you be wrong for? Yeah? How can you
- 56:20Speaker 1: be wrong for running your household the way you want
- 56:24Speaker 1: to run your household? I do respect the fact that
- 56:27Speaker 1: you're trying to do what's best for your son, and
- 56:29Speaker 1: I'm sure your son enjoys having his mom there. And
- 56:33Speaker 1: that's about the extent of it, because really she needs
- 56:36Speaker 1: to go, and she needs to go a sap, a sad.
- 56:40Speaker 1: She's disrupting your household, she's disrespecting your household. I'm sure
- 56:45Speaker 1: her negative energy isn't good for your son's health. You
- 56:47Speaker 1: didn't mention what he had, but it sounds pretty serious.
- 56:52Speaker 1: And now, of course we don't know if it's true
- 56:54Speaker 1: or not what she said about your manhood or anything.
- 56:57Speaker 1: That's not what this is all about, whether it's true
- 57:00Speaker 1: or not. She was never right to say that. She
- 57:03Speaker 1: should have never said that. She's bitter, she's hateful. And
- 57:08Speaker 1: while she called you jealous, when you check her on
- 57:11Speaker 1: having a man in your home, she's the one who's jealous.
- 57:14Speaker 1: She is the one. She's jealous of what you have.
- 57:17Speaker 1: That's why she's being disruptive like this. Well, I mean,
- 57:20Speaker 1: why else would she put your son's health in danger
- 57:23Speaker 1: by bringing a dude in the house. I mean, seriously,
- 57:26Speaker 1: she's selfish. Can you can you? Can you can you
- 57:29Speaker 1: I'm asking you, can you see if someone else that
- 57:33Speaker 1: you trust or another family member or something can come
- 57:35Speaker 1: in and help you with your son while you work
- 57:38Speaker 1: at home. I mean, if so, if that's the case,
- 57:41Speaker 1: please start working on that now so you can have
- 57:44Speaker 1: everything you know in place when we're not in lockdown anymore,
- 57:49Speaker 1: when the protests and the quarantine is over. This is
- 57:51Speaker 1: pretty serious right here. You all don't need to be
- 57:54Speaker 1: arguing in front of your son any of that. So
- 57:57Speaker 1: she needs to go and you need to get someone
- 57:59Speaker 1: else in there who can help you from Steve. All right,
- 58:02Speaker 1: let me just start by saying this right here. I'm
- 58:08Speaker 1: not gonna mention your son because I don't know anything
- 58:10Speaker 1: about it. Man. I feel for you or wish you
- 58:14Speaker 1: the best with your child. Hope or you end up
- 58:18Speaker 1: with a healthy child. I hope he overcomes whatever it
- 58:20Speaker 1: is that's going on. I don't know, So I'm not
- 58:22Speaker 1: gonna mention the baby no more so now that I'll
- 58:25Speaker 1: set that up, what is the rest of this? Damn
- 58:27Speaker 1: that about it? Because that's you know, let's get the
- 58:30Speaker 1: baby out to wait that. Have I done a sufficient
- 58:32Speaker 1: job of getting the baby out the story? Because this
- 58:36Speaker 1: ain't about the baby. I don't want to seem hardness,
- 58:38Speaker 1: so I wish you the best with your child. Everybody
- 58:42Speaker 1: would love to have a healthy baby. That's got to
- 58:44Speaker 1: be a horrible thing to be going through, but we're
- 58:46Speaker 1: gonna I'm pulling for you, pray for you all that
- 58:49Speaker 1: you know, okay? Cool. We would have said that you
- 58:51Speaker 1: and your ex decided that since it was quarantine and
- 58:55Speaker 1: your son got some issues, y'all be better. I'll stay together.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Who thought that was gonna be a good idea? That's
- 59:01Speaker 1: why she your ex. That's why you her ex, because
- 59:06Speaker 1: y'all can't live together at all. Now, y'all staying together
- 59:11Speaker 1: during the funkiest time of the year, quarantine. You can't
- 59:16Speaker 1: even you working from home now. Everything was cool at first,
- 59:20Speaker 1: but then mid April come. We didn't been in here
- 59:23Speaker 1: about a month. She quarantine started about mid March, about
- 59:27Speaker 1: thirty days in. That's when the family started breaking up.
- 59:30Speaker 1: She started comment about everything she hate about you. See,
- 59:34Speaker 1: y'all knew this was gonna have many way. That's why
- 59:36Speaker 1: y'all got a divorce. Divorce people can't get back together
- 59:39Speaker 1: and stay nowhere together. You got a new girlfriend. She
- 59:43Speaker 1: come by to visit me. Y'all sit on the back
- 59:47Speaker 1: deck instead of her coming in because of your son's health.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Doing my girlfriend's last visit your ex this health comes
- 59:55Speaker 1: out on the deck and say she's surprised that you
- 59:59Speaker 1: have found a woman that can put up with mediocre
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: sex and your tiny sex all just trying to work
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: too high to handle that one. We got to go
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: to break so I can think about my next response
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: to this, because it's not for the radio. Oh I
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: got a small Okay, All right, listen, Steve. We'll be
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: back with part two of your response to twenty three
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: minutes after be our today's Strawberry Letters subject, I am
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: the only one that can have sex in my house.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: to Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letter. I am the only one that
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: can have sex in my house. So, like I said,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: I don't have anything to say about this man's child.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I wish you the best with your child. Everybody struggles
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: that have special needs children and children that are six.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: So we're pulling for you on NAT. But you invited
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: your ex back in to stay. What you're doing to quarantine?
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Damn mistake, damn mistake. You cannot move a person in
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: your house. You don't like doing quarantine. I don't care
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: who is fault. Now. Everything was working good till about
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: mid April. Then she started reminding you of all the
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: things she used to hate about you, and you didn't.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Got in some pretty intensive arguments, and you ready for
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: her to go. You know why, because you got a
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: new girlfriend. Now you're a new girlfriend. She come by
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: to visit you. Y'all go out on the back deck
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: because she can't come inside because of your son's or
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: health conditions understood, that's playing it safe doing your girlfriend's
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: last visit. Your ex this healthful comes out on the
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: back deck and says, she's surprised that you didn't found
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: a woman that can put up with your mediocre sex
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: and your tiny sex. Or see what I'd have said
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: right there was hold on, don't see anything crazy. It
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: ain't me. I'm reggling you too damn big? How about that?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: See if you're gonna call me tiny? Could it be
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: because you too big? Huh? Can I stay with that one?
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: You know? But walk? Light lit though, Okay, light light
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna say about it. Thank you, That's
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: all I'm gonna say about it. You ain't gonna fit
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: to come out here. My girlfriend sitting up here, I
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: ain't had sex with it. What's up with your little
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: tiny thing? What? Crazy? Crazy? Who are you talking to?
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: And see? So right now I would have I would
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: have said something, but now you didn't. So now here
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: go And then you threw off because your girlfriend and
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: you haven't had sex yet. The final straw was sad
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: that you went to the grocery store. You come home
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: and that was a man laid up in your guest
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: bedroom with your ex wife while your child was asleep
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: in the next room. I heard a man, So I
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: barge into the room because this is my house. I'm
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: with you right here. Dog. He was asked politely to leave. Yeah,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: come on, He was asked politely to leave. Wait minute, holer, man,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: who do you think I am that you can come
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: into my house lay up in a room with my ex.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I don't give a damn about the ex, but who
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: are you to think you can come in my house
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: and screw somebody in my house? Come on, man, Wait
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: a minute, man, damn the disrespect of her. Who do
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: you think I am? What did she tell you about me?
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: That will make you think it was okay for you
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: to come into my house and have sex and my
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: child in the bed and you any boy. But see
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: she must have been right though, because he was asked
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: politely to leave. How was that house? Politely? How would
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: excuse me? Sir? Can you put your clothes on? No?
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Get your draws? No, excuse me, sir. That's my shirt,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: that's my shoes. I put that. You can take twe
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: with you. Take town with you, sir. Get your shoes,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: get your shoes, time up, don't trip. I don't want
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: you to wake the baby. Tie your shoes something and
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: would you please leave? Now? Said if it was you?
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: What who? What was that? Get your park ass of
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: get don't put your clothes on? Ain't then, Mary, all
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: these my clothes get Joe punk as chap cry, don't
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: cry no more. Yeah, that's a lot of nerve right there. Yeah. Now,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: don't cover yourself. Don't cover yourself. Get your hands up, tippetoe, tippetoe,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Get on your toes, tippetoe. Dog. I can't even tell
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: you how that went. But anyway, and now, because he
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: could be putting your son's health at risk, he was
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: politely asking go. I got into a big argue with
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: my ex now and I really want to put out
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: see me. She out, she out of my house, but
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: I need her here to help care for her son
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: while I'm still working from home. I get a a caretaker,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: somebody to get help with my son. It was her
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: infidelity to land to our divorce, so I was stupid
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: to think this arrangement work true. I kindly told her
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: that she's not allowed guests inside my home. We are
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: all quarantined. She's as I'm just jealous. Oh, bring bring
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: somebody else up in hire. Okay, I'll tell you what.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Bring another man up in here. I bet neither one
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: of y'all leave out of here like he came in
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: too nice? Isn't he trust me? This ain't it at all?
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I just don't want anybody else having sex in my house.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: What I've not ain't even got to say this here anyway?
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Am I wrong for this man? Please? Don't even write
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: this damn letter. You should have whooped his ass. You
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: should have over hit no woman, But I don't. I
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: have wound his ass. No. Thank you. Steve. Post your
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: comments on today's Strawberry Letter and uh on Instagram and
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Facebook and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: now coming up at forty six. After the hour, we're
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: gonna get serious again and talk more about George Floyd.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening show, George Floyd's family released
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: the results of an independent autopsy and the findings were
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: that George Floyd died from asphyxia. The report went on
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: to say it was Chauvin's knee uh to Floyd's neck
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: and the weight of the officer that caused Floyd's death. However,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: the medical examiner said George Floyd had fentonol in his
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: system and died from a heart attack. But the medical
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: examiner's report did state that mister Floyd had a heart
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: attack while they were arresting him. The report, Huh, I've
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: had plenty of it, had plenty of it. Airtime I
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: go to the hospital to give me fenton finnigan. That
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: don't that don't do it. That needed it because you
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: have sickle sl right, Junior, And they gave it to you,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: ye all the time, all the time. Airtime I go
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: in there. First thing out, you might need you to
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: be a witness, Junior. Call me see and I'm glad
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you said you had it because I thought I had
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: a two coo. When I make sausage, I put it
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: in there. What you mean, Finnel you mean yeah, Yeah,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: that's what I used to make like crazy, that's I'm
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: a life is the best medicine. I know you trying,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: czy man, Uncle, No, let him go fin on the stage.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: If you put it in Turkey me to take you sense. Really, Now,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: I got to finish the story. Now you know we're
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: gonna We're gonna be something other than that, right, No,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: it was what it was, murder, Yeah, that's what the
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: report said. The cause of death was homicide. We're, of
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: course still point praying for the Floyd family and also
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: the city of Houston will join the Floyd family at
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: a Paul March this afternoon in downtown Houston, Houston, Texas,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: of course. And I saw Pete Yes, his brother was
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: on TV yesterday and Minneapolis and you're absolutely right, Steve.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: And they are also encouraging people to get out and vote,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: not just on a federal level, on the local level.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I saw on social media too that Floyd Mayweather is
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: going to pay for the funeral. Did you guys see that?
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: I did the Floyd family has accepted his offer, his
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: generous offer. Very nice, very nice and generous of Floyd. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: he said that was on his heart to do. That
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: was on his heart. Yeah. Wow. Coming up at the
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: top of the hour, we are going to take some
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: phone calls. We're going to go to the phones. Eight
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine, Steve, we'll take a phone call
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show. So America is
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: dealing with a pandemic. We're dealing with unemployment, we're dealing
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: with racism. Some minority business owners are really really suffering
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: from both the riots and COVID nineteen pandemic. So Steve,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: let's go to the phone to talk to the people
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: and everybody you know, during this time that we're all
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: coping with in so many different ways. We decided to
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: take some calls and just hear from some of our listeners.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: We don't have all we don't have a topic. The
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: topic is just what's going on in this world today.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: I mean, it's all the same thing. I mean, you know,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: a moment ago, it was COVID nineteen, which was the conversation,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: and now I think we've gotten onto something that's equally
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: as important and it's starting to have a more resounding
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: effect on more people than I even thought it would,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: which is gonna be a good thing for the calls.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: So we're gonna go to some of our listeners on
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: the phone. Let's go to our first call. This is
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Who is this? Hi? Seeve, this is mist flying.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I'm calling from Atlanta, Georgia. Hi Maya. Hey, listen, you're
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: a business owner here. How is this affecting you? And
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: what would you like to say? I would say, Jesus
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: be a Bob Wire sense right now, because this is
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: a lot I have been through and again I'm a downturn.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: I've been through the recession. I've been through two three
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Republican administrations as a business owner, and I can tell
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: you I've never seen anything like this. This is crippling now.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: I know for a lot of the businesses before we
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: got it, these people out in the streets. That pandemic
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: has a closed so many businesses. How is your business closed?
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I don't you don't have to give the name of it,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: but what type of business do you have? And is
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: it closed? And well, what do you foresee happening? What's
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: your thoughts? Well, I can tell you, this is my
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: ten year in business and with this brand, I've owned
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Salon for twenty years, over twenty years since nineteen ninety nine.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: I moved to Atlanta nineteen ninety eight, and when I
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: tell you, we felt and have always felt like the
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: streets were paid with gold. This is not a political city.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: This is not a city like New York, Chicago, Detroit, LA.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: The cost of living was that for entrepreneurs, so if
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: you could see it and believe it, you can have it.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: This is not reality television Atlanta, because I've been on
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: reality TV and I know what that looks like. But
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: this is real business people who if you set your
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: mind to something and you had a dream, you could
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: accomplish it. And it was not stagnant based on politics
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: and the cost of living allowed it to be that.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: But this pandemic was nothing anybody could have prepared for
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: in any way, shape or form. This is not like
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the housing crisis. This is not like the Great Recession
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: where you could blame people who have forecast or overleveraged.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: This was something that was beyond our control. And I'm
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: in the beauty business where we can't we can't stay
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: six feet away you have to touch people. And my
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: salons and businesses have been closed since March twenty third.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: We opened three weeks ago, and to fifteen percent of
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: the revenue that we normally do during this time of
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: the year, which is our businiest time of the year,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: which is prom season, which is tax season, which is
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Mother's Day, every major holiday before June is our biggest
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: time of the season. And our business was at zero.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: And it was if I hadn't been the type of
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: business that I am, my employees wouldn't have received a
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: dime because my employees are actual employees, are not subcontractors,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: they're employees. So if it weren't for the federal government
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: step in and giving the extra six hundred dollars on
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: top of the basic unemployment that they get, they would
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: have been homeless. And this is disheartening, it's sad, it's troubling,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: and all of this is too much, too much wow
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: for anybody. I understand that, and you know we you know,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: we're pulling for you, you know, I mean, we're praying
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: for everybody to get through this. It's still going to
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: be some challenges even with the stimulus packages, and and
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: even when it gets back to a sense of normal.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Police is still gonna be a bit. It just it's
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: gonna it's gonna be a bit. It's gonna take a
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: while to get back to normal. And I don't know
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: what the new norm is gonna look like either. I
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: don't know if it's gonna be. It won't look anything
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: like it ever looked before. I can tell you that
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: there will never be what we had before. And you
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: know what, I'm okay, I mean things change, you know,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: life has changed, but maybe this will cause some other
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: things to be looked at and everything. So hanging out. Hey,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: we really appreciate your call, Mia, and we pull it
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: for your sister. Thank you so much for the call.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: All right, coming up more of the Steve Every Morning
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: show at twenty minutes after right after this You're Listening show. So, Tommy,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: we were talking off air about the two students that
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: were in the car in Atlanta that the police pulled out,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: the young brother from more House, the young lady that
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: was with him, she's from Spellman. I couldn't understand what
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: the police officer was doing. They broke the windows to
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: their car and they immediately Hay's that young brother. But
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: at the same time, that they're tasting him. They're telling him,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: they're trying to get him to follow instructions, and I'm
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: trying to figure out, how can you do that after
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: you just taste somebody. Yeah, he was trying to protect
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: his girlfriend in the car. That's one thing that the
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: young man was doing. And the cops were yelling gun,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: gun gun. I think he said he reached down to
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: get his phone so he could film it or something.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: That was just awful. The good they never had a gun.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: There was no gun at They never had a gun. Yeah,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: there are students. They were going home. A lot of
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: people at that time didn't even know that there was
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: a curfew in Atlanta because a lot of people were
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: out and they didn't hear it. So they were on
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: their way back home, just after getting something to eat. Yeah,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: and the good news is Mayor Kesha Land's bottom. She
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: was on our show earlier today. She took immediate action. Yeah.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: And those officers were fired were fired. Yeah, and the
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: others three are being a little I didn't see it.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: I've been hearing about it. I haven't seen it. But
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: you know what's amazing to me the training of these officers.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: What are they training them. They're sending them out there
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: too early, because look, how many times have you seen
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: a police officer what they need on a culprit's neck.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: I mean, so obviously that's training, that's training. Something's wrong, man.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning

- 1:19:49Speaker 1: listening Harpy Morning Show. All right here we are our
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: last break of the day. Um you know these last break,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: these last days, of course have been trying times in America.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: But we're going to get through. We're going to get through.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: And Steve Harvey earlier did something that man put a
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: lot on everybody's mind about the protests. How to deal
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: with the protests, how they're going president, Yeah, how the
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: government will look at these protests. And he said it earlier,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: but we thought it very repeating. So here it is
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: again for you. Take a listen. I have something I
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: want to say. I've thought about this today and I
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: tried to find the best way to say it. But
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: I want to say to all the protesters, I want
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: to come to you as Steve Harvey. I want to
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: come to you as a sixty three year old black man.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: I want to come to you as Uncle Steve. I
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: want to come to you as whatever affection you have
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: for me. I want you to understand that I'm coming
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: at you with this from a place of nothing but love,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: because I am first and foremost African American. When I
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: wake up in the morning, I can never escape that.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: It is a badge that I have worn with honor
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: for sixty three years. I've never tried to run from
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: the fact that I am black. I'm proud of it.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: I'm proud of my people. I'm proud of what we've
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: overcome and how we've come this far in spite of
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: all the obstacles. So what I'm saying to you is
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: coming from nothing but a place of love. The subject
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: that I want to talk to you about today is
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: go home, don't give him the satisfaction. And I want
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: you to understand what I'm saying to you. See, listen
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: to me, people, I'm sixty three years old. Infiltraders have
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: been hired to incite riots for years. Infiltraders have been
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: hired to incite riots for years. See, the system has
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: learned over the years how to deflate protest. See. The
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: last protests that was successful in this country, to my knowledge,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: was doing the civil rights movement. See Martin Luther King
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: had the cleanest way to get results through peaceful protest. Now,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: whether you agree with it or not, it worked, so
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: listen to me, because it produced changed in the voting
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: rights at It produced things like affirmative action, schools became integrated,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: and a spotlight got put on Bull Connors down there
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: with the things that he was doing to protesters in Alabama,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: amongst other things, the rolls of parks into debt. All
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: of this came about through peaceful protests. Now, since then,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: the system has learned how to change the narrative of
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: all protests starting in peace and gaining momentum. Once they
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: see that a peaceful protest is gaining momentum, they simply
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: wait on the proper time to incite the masses with
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: either words or deeds. I'm telling you, I know what
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: I'm talking about him, which then allows them to change
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the narrative or simply flip the script. Listen to me, folks,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: go home, don't give them the satisfaction. And I want
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: to show you what's happening now. Our leadership has waited
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: on this exact moment in time twice already. See, instead
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: of addressing the problem, he finds a way of making
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: a different narrative. Let me give you an example. He
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: found a way to make callin corpet callin Kaepernick's nearly
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: which it was about this very topic and outrage we're
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: feeling right now over the recent murders of innocent black men.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: See Colin Kaepernick was right, he had it right. But
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: the flip, the changing of the narrative was made. See
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: his kneeling became against the military and the flag. Oh man,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: don't you know what happened then? See that end at all?
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: The kneeling. It cost him his career. But even more
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: hurtful was we were no longer talking about racial injustice
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: and police brutality, and our leadership came in and made
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: himself to be a patriot, and now it's happening again.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Listen to me, y'all, go home. Don't give him the satisfaction. See,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: once peaceful protests turns into burning and looting, which is
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: being incited by people strategically placed to stir up their
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: anger and to start the burning that start the looting.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: It now now allows them to cause a thing to happen.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: It allows them knowing this will happen, knowing that they've
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: been waiting on this to happen. It now makes it
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: all about destruction of property and lawless criminal behavior called looting,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: and it is set up to kill the original cause
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: for protests. So now they can send in the national god,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: squash this civil unrest and do it all under the
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: law of breaking laws and curfews. And the leadership in
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: this country who stopped talking about the invisible enemy called
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Corona because he couldn't defeat that. So he found the
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: visible enemy again, and it's us again. We are the
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: visible enemy. So he's now calling himself the law and
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: order president. So here he comes in to save the day.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Ain't open his mouth one time about healing our nation
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: or trying to show support against racism. None of that.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: Now he gonna just shut all these lawbreakers down. Young people,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: go home. Don't give him the satisfaction because this all
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: he weighed on. For the first time since the Civil
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Rights movement, we have non whites joining in. They are listening.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: Don't let them change. Go home, y'all, be careful. We'll
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: be careful. Be careful, but don't let him for all.
