- 0:00Pornhub should be criminally charged and their executives
- 0:02should be behind bars, period. They have operated too long
- 0:06illegally hosting abuse content. Pornhub is scared, Mike Farley
- 0:10said on tape. There was a time when we would
- 0:12go through videos and the only videos we would reject were
- 0:15where someone was literally getting murdered.
- 0:22Welcome back to the Lila Rose podcast.
- 0:24Today's episode is a special Movers and Shakers edition.
- 0:28We're going to be occasionally doing these sorts of shows to
- 0:31feature people who are doing things that are very important
- 0:34in our culture and our political world.
- 0:36These people are taking risks. They're going maybe undercover.
- 0:39They're running for office. They're doing things up against
- 0:43a Goliath, an enemy that we all share, something negative in our
- 0:46culture, and they're fighting for what is good, true, and
- 0:49beautiful. Today we'll be featuring Peter
- 0:51Hernandez, a father, a small business owner, a proud
- 0:54immigrant who is running for California District 18.
- 0:57He's running for office. He's doing it in a very blue
- 1:00state. As you know, I'm California and
- 1:02I love my state, but our state is full of many anti life, anti
- 1:06family and in many ways anti faith politicians who have taken
- 1:09over the state. Peter Hernandez is talking about
- 1:12how he plans to take back California and how his work and
- 1:16what he's doing running for office in Central California can
- 1:19be part of that strategy to win back the state.
- 1:23So you're not going to want to miss what he has to say.
- 1:25And then we're also going to hear from Arden Young.
- 1:27Arden Young is a young activist who I really had a soft spot in
- 1:31my heart for when I found out about her work because she does
- 1:34undercover investigative reporting of not Planned
- 1:37Parenthood, but of Pornhub, of one of the biggest pornography
- 1:42websites on the planet. And her work has led to
- 1:45attorneys general opening an investigation and working to
- 1:48demand justice for the victims of Pornhub.
- 1:52So this very young woman, you're going to love to hear her story,
- 1:54what motivates her, as well as the very important work that
- 1:57she's doing exposing Pornhub with the organization Sound
- 2:01Investigations, which is run in collaboration with another
- 2:04person I admire, a young man named Eric Cochran.
- 2:07Eric Cochran is someone who actually was a whistleblower
- 2:11over at Pinterest a few years ago.
- 2:12Yes, the popular website that shares pictures.
- 2:16If you're listening and you got married recently or you like
- 2:19home decor, you probably use Pinterest.
- 2:21I'm banned on Pinterest because Pinterest, if you didn't know
- 2:24this already, is a very pro abortion, anti life company.
- 2:27And Eric Cochran was one of their engineers, one of their
- 2:30leading engineers actually. He was fired after being a
- 2:33whistleblower at Pinterest showing revealing that they had
- 2:38listed live action and myself as pornography on the website in
- 2:44order to block our content, our pro-life content from being
- 2:48viewed. And that this was done
- 2:50intentionally at Pinterest in order to block pro-life content
- 2:53on the platform. Afterwards, Pinterest would ban
- 2:57live action permanently for no fault except that we put out
- 3:00pro-life content. Meanwhile, Pinterest is actually
- 3:03putting out for abortion content, allowing abortionists
- 3:06to not just be on the site, but to advertise through those
- 3:09little cute squares, abortion services as they call them on
- 3:13Pinterest. So Arden Young, working with
- 3:15Eric Cochran over at Sound Investigations, has a bombshell
- 3:17investigation of Pornhub. You're going to want to hear
- 3:19what she has to say. I hope listening to Peter and
- 3:21Arden, you can be inspired by their initiative and their
- 3:24courage. Also, for those who are watching
- 3:26on YouTube, you might notice this new background.
- 3:28I'm very excited about our set evolution.
- 3:30So hope you enjoy the evolving new set of the Lila Rose
- 3:33podcast. Thanks for listening.

- 4:23Hernandez, thanks so much for joining the podcast.
- 4:26Thank you for having me, Lila. I've heard a lot of great things
- 4:29about you and your very important campaign to help save
- 4:33California. You're running for Congress here
- 4:36in the state. It's a tough, tough battle, but
- 4:38let's start with your background.
- 4:40You know what? What is your background and what
- 4:42motivated you to as a pro-life or run for run for election in
- 4:49this crazy state? It's funny because I, as, as I
- 4:53think about when I first got elected, really reflecting on,
- 4:57on the why that, that that definitely came up amongst the
- 5:01support, the support group. And it really is a mission
- 5:05field. I mean, I think when it comes to
- 5:07running for office, it's a new mission field because the
- 5:10reality of politics is it's broken.
- 5:13Everything's very top down. And and I, you know, as God put
- 5:16it on my heart, there is no way to understand how to fix
- 5:19something if you don't, if you're not involved, right, if
- 5:22you're not a part of it. So I ran 2014 got elected to the
- 5:25school board started understanding better what what
- 5:29exactly was the function of the school system and the school
- 5:32board, the board member authority and then running for
- 5:37county supervisor serving four years.
- 5:38And it's funny how you I felt like I got thrown into the deep
- 5:41end of the pool. Lila 2018 getting elected 2020
- 5:45the COVID pandemic hit. I was right in the middle of it
- 5:48with the lockdowns and the mandates.
- 5:50And as a strong conservative Christian, I understood that
- 5:53there's an authority that ultimately that we have by the
- 5:56people, right, The consent of the governed.
- 5:58And, you know, I, I felt like it just, there was just moments in
- 6:02time when I reflected on why, you know, ultimately the
- 6:07Constitution has so much power, but it's not used, right?
- 6:10It's a muscle that's yet to be flexed and used.
- 6:13And so I did it in 2020. I challenged the public health
- 6:16officer and the mandates and, and sure enough, it's funny
- 6:19because I know I didn't have the votes in that room to oppose it.
- 6:22I brought forward an informed consent resolution as an
- 6:24example. But the big conviction that I
- 6:26had is the silence in the room. The silence is to me equates to
- 6:30the silence in the public. So long and short, I just found
- 6:33myself knowing that God called me to this because it's not Even
- 6:36so much about having the votes in the room, but starting the
- 6:39conversation with the culture because really the battles in
- 6:42the culture to win them back to really give them that
- 6:46citizenship mindset that they take their, their
- 6:49responsibility, their duty, responsibility to be involved
- 6:53to, to, to be game changers in their environment.
- 6:55So I really didn't feel like I was the one doing the biggest
- 6:59game changing besides the fact that I was there to educate the
- 7:03public on their duty and their, their authority.
- 7:06So, so I just wanted to, I made I, I swam in the deep end of the
- 7:11pool challenge, the lockdowns, the mandates, the public health
- 7:14officer quit two hours later. And sure enough, it created, I
- 7:17think a ripple effect of not just support, ultimately a
- 7:20conversation. So that's why I just felt just
- 7:24validated in why I ran for office and getting elected.
- 7:28And it's a calling for sure. Peter, what part of California
- 7:31are you running in? So I'm running Congressional
- 7:34District 18. It's the Central Coast of
- 7:36California. There's 4 counties, Monterey,
- 7:38San Benito, Santa Cruz, in South Santa Clara.
- 7:41It actually just got added into through the redistricting
- 7:44process. It got added in those three
- 7:46brand new counties. It's a majority now official
- 7:49Latino district. And there's a lot to be said
- 7:53about the the votes of the Latino community and the
- 7:56pro-life sentiment. Absolutely.
- 7:58OK. So tell me why you're so
- 7:59pro-life and then also how you plan to reach the Latino
- 8:03community, because I know that that is, like you're saying,
- 8:06part of the future for California.
- 8:09That's right. So like I mentioned, so my
- 8:13background is, is we're, I'm a first generation Mexican
- 8:16American. My, my whole family is majority
- 8:21Latino. I mean, I'm their first
- 8:22generation from Mexico. So they're obviously from for
- 8:25they have the traditional value background.
- 8:28That's what I came from. That's what I, that's what I've
- 8:30always known, right? I mean, my mom used to say
- 8:33you're born Catholic, you're going to die a Catholic.
- 8:36You know, I went through confirmation and, and, and
- 8:38baptism. So all that to be said is coming
- 8:42into this country, I, I realized that there's blessings that
- 8:46God's given this nation when it comes to my pro-life sentiment.
- 8:49I mean, we came here because of the fact that my family wanted a
- 8:53new opportunity. My mother and my father, who
- 8:57stayed together in spite of my dad going through his struggles
- 9:01as as an alcoholic, he was very abusive and was in Mexico,
- 9:05didn't allow, or I should say the system in Mexico to a
- 9:10certain extent, you know, created an opportunity for that
- 9:14abuse. So that by default was a
- 9:17compelling reason for my mom to say, let's start all over, let's
- 9:20go to, to, to America. And, and it's funny because I
- 9:24didn't even realize till my my mom almost passed.
- 9:26She told me that when before we came to this country because of
- 9:31my dad's abuse, my mom had basically had two miscarriages.
- 9:35And my, my, the, the people that surrounded my mother basically
- 9:40had advised her to divorce my father.
- 9:43And, and if she would have listened to them, she had a
- 9:46strong conviction that she wasn't supposed to.
- 9:49And obviously that doesn't encourage abuse.
- 9:51That's my, that's not my sentiment, but you just never
- 9:54know, I guess is my biggest statement.
- 9:56You don't know the decisions that you make and the
- 9:58consequences that come from decisions.
- 10:01And my mom, if she wouldn't have picked staying with my father, I
- 10:05wouldn't have been born and and then Fast forward me as a father
- 10:11now being being a father myself, trying to learn from the past
- 10:13and not repeat the mistakes of my father.
- 10:16I've had my two children. I've done my best to honor God
- 10:19and to live a good life that doesn't come without its
- 10:22struggles. Both my children, I have a
- 10:24three-year old and a nine year old.
- 10:26Both of them came up through the genetic testing with physical
- 10:29issues. One had an atrophied kidney and
- 10:34you know, technically there was worries that it could, that the
- 10:37other one could, could help be negatively, negatively be
- 10:40impacted by it and could potentially die and obviously
- 10:42cause a lot of headache and heartache and, and medical
- 10:45bills. Same thing with my daughter.
- 10:47She was born with Turner syndrome and we didn't know how
- 10:50extreme it would be until she would be born.
- 10:52So we didn't know she would come out with serious malformations,
- 10:55heart issues, you name it. I mean, we were scared both
- 10:58times, but that's the profound thing about Faith, Lila, as you
- 11:01know that, you know, as God delivers, he gives you just this
- 11:05hope that there's something better and you don't know the
- 11:07outcomes. And sure enough, not only am I
- 11:10blessed to live in this country, but my two children are
- 11:12thriving. They're doing really well.
- 11:14And and how do you replace the memories that now have
- 11:17officially been created of the blessings of those of those
- 11:21beautiful little lives? My, my, my son is he's profound.
- 11:26Like he's so articulate, very, very clear minded.
- 11:30He's such a student. He loves history.
- 11:33He he he, he watches documentaries for fun on World
- 11:36War 2 anyway, so I want and on. But the bottom line is, is
- 11:40there's very profound reasons why life when you pursue it, it
- 11:45has evident benefits and and it doesn't come without pain.
- 11:49But life is not, he does not have struggles.
- 11:53And and I think as Latino community has struggled and you
- 11:56know, in this country, we've known that life isn't easy.
- 12:01And we've always had this mindset of work has dignity and
- 12:05that you can't separate the two. And we come into this country
- 12:08and somehow now we're supposed to be part of the system that
- 12:11gives us entitlements and benefits that actually do less
- 12:14to preserve our dignity and more to destroy the culture and the
- 12:17traditions that matter to us. So for all those reasons and a
- 12:21lot more, I feel like life is the core issue.
- 12:25It is the dominant issue. And the one I mean, this is the
- 12:28profound thing that I felt God put on my heart was the one that
- 12:31can define life, can define all of life, and can therefore can
- 12:35control all of it. And I would not want to put that
- 12:38power in the hand of any man, including myself.
- 12:41I believe it belongs to God. Well said.
- 12:44So, Peter, you're in a really tough district.
- 12:46I mean, every district in California is tough to varying
- 12:49degrees. The state is fully run by
- 12:53Democrats basically. I mean, a very pro abortion
- 12:56Democrats or Governor Gavin Newsom is super pro abortion and
- 13:00you know, pro lockdown. Of course he was partying during
- 13:03the lockdown that he was demanding.
- 13:06So you just have a lot of hypocrisy, corruption, pro
- 13:10abortion, anti family policies in the state.
- 13:13Tell us about your race. Do you think you can win and
- 13:16why? So 40% of California, that's
- 13:21kind of the biggest elephant in the room that people don't speak
- 13:24about enough. 40% of the of the voting bloc of California is
- 13:29Latino. The Latinos is the majority in
- 13:32this state. Whoever wins the Latino vote
- 13:35wins this state. The hard part is, is for
- 13:38different reasons, they don't always show up to vote right.
- 13:42And, and, but the reality is, is we're, there's very profound
- 13:46things that 'cause us, I think as, as humans, as, as
- 13:49individuals on, on why we should be engaged.
- 13:53And I would argue that the family unit is one of them.
- 13:56We're seeing this very extreme sentiment that now wants to
- 14:00strip you of your right as a parent wants to strip you of
- 14:04your right to preserve the interest of your family.
- 14:06Now you have children that are able to take, you know, get an
- 14:10abortion at 12 years old. They can take hormone and and
- 14:14sex drugs basically without the parents consent or even
- 14:19knowledge. Now even insurances can actually
- 14:21provide for that health, that type of a, a service to our, to
- 14:26a 12 year old. The Latino community doesn't
- 14:29under doesn't know these things, right?
- 14:31They're they're hard working people.
- 14:32They're involved in their lives, taking care of their kids and
- 14:35they basically haven't had their eye on the ball.
- 14:37But The funny thing is, is now when things are coming to a head
- 14:40and the issues are becoming very real because economically
- 14:43they're not doing as well. I mean, if you think about
- 14:45minorities, middle class folks, low income folks, a big chunk of
- 14:50them are Latinos. And that by default highlights
- 14:52the reality that they, they're struggling and they're not,
- 14:55they're asking why. And a lot of them are not
- 14:57realizing or can't connect the dots of what are these issues
- 15:00that are causing their, their pain.
- 15:02And I, you know, I felt like, again, that's why it was my
- 15:05calling, getting involved, understanding these issues,
- 15:08being a county supervisor and knowing the legislative process,
- 15:10my authority, the state policies, all the things that
- 15:13negatively impact our, our, our outcomes in our communities.
- 15:18And as I learn these things as, as I've gone out there and
- 15:21clearly articulated where these pain points are coming from,
- 15:26there's an excitement there. What you know, when a Latino
- 15:29hears that God established this nation, gave them inalienable
- 15:34rights, due process, separation of powers, you know, you're
- 15:38innocent before proven guilty, which is not the reality in
- 15:41Mexico. It's a profound thing for them
- 15:44to say, what is this freedom that we have?
- 15:47How do we fight for it and preserve it?
- 15:49And once they understand these very freedoms, they're hungry to
- 15:52do more. And us Latinos, we know how to
- 15:55do with very little to nothing. So money is is not the motivator
- 16:00at the end of the day, you can get a very active, hungry Latino
- 16:04workforce to get out there and get out the vote and do the
- 16:06right thing. And I know we can do it.
- 16:08We just got to empower them. And that's the conviction that I
- 16:11had. We need a new we, we need,
- 16:13truly, really need a servant's heart in public service right
- 16:19then the Bible says he Lord didn't come to be served, but to
- 16:23serve and give his life as a ransom for many.
- 16:25That means sacrificial attitude, a a citizen's citizen servant
- 16:29attitude. And I believe that's what people
- 16:32are hungry for. Once they see that in someone, I
- 16:34believe like me, they'll be, they'll be excited to get behind
- 16:38me. And that's what's happened in
- 16:3922. I already ran in 22 and we, we
- 16:42did really well, all things considered.
- 16:43It was our first time. So now we've played the ground
- 16:45floor for a a very strong showing in 24.
- 16:49Peter, who are you up against? Who's your opposition?
- 16:52I'm up against Zoe Lofgren, very extreme progressive left lady
- 16:58and she's been in office for 27 years.
- 17:02She's never had a connection to this community by default.
- 17:05Obviously every, when you think about the nature of this
- 17:07district, it's rural, it's agricultural, it's middle class,
- 17:10it's it's Latino, it's everything I am and she's not.
- 17:14So she's up against something. And it's funny because I don't
- 17:17mind being the underdog. I actually kind of enjoy it
- 17:20because I think in a lot of ways she's overlooking me.
- 17:23I'm ready. I've done the hard work.
- 17:25I've been campaigning technically for three years.
- 17:27Lila, I haven't given up because in, you know, I, I ran in 22 and
- 17:32it's been the, you know, technically it's a two year
- 17:34race, but nonetheless, I knew that it that it takes a lot
- 17:37longer than one election cycle when you're brand new to get
- 17:40your name out there. So we've done the work.
- 17:42We're putting our time in. And my opponent, I think, is
- 17:45realizing that, which is why, yeah, there's there's a big
- 17:48machine trying to trying to come up against me.
- 17:50But I know God's, God's in my God's on my side.
- 17:54How are the polls looking, Peter?
- 17:57So there there's two polls, one done in the 2022 election and
- 18:01one just recently post election and there's definitely a shift
- 18:05happening. The three top issues are border
- 18:07security, violent crime, and then you're also dealing with
- 18:12inflation. So the pain points.
- 18:14I mean, it's funny because these are majority Democrat voters
- 18:17that were polled and border security, right?
- 18:20Technically the, the, the, the great replacement theory is
- 18:24very, very true. 8 out of 10 people that are crossing the
- 18:27border illegally. When you think of even the
- 18:29preservation of life, right? Technically speaking, the the
- 18:33sentiment of the Latino community coming into this
- 18:36country wanting an opportunity. Now they're officially going to
- 18:39be replaced because 8 out of 10 people that are crossing the
- 18:41border are no longer from Mexico.
- 18:42They're from every other nation. So that's happening now.
- 18:46So jobs are officially going to become a weakened opportunity.
- 18:49Obviously the threats of, of terrorism, but when you look at
- 18:53violent crime, the decriminalization laws, things
- 18:56that have made it easier for criminals basically to, to, to
- 18:59commit crimes, $950, no cash bail, all these kind of things
- 19:03that are making it easier basically for the criminal to
- 19:05get away with things and for the innocent to be damaged, right?
- 19:08To be, to be insecure in their persons and their property,
- 19:12right? I mean, so there's so many
- 19:14things that are happening that these, that the community, this
- 19:17district, the Latinos are very aware of now.
- 19:20And honestly, they're, they're waiting to be courted.
- 19:23I mean, if anything I can say about the party in general is
- 19:27they haven't done a good enough job of courting the Latino
- 19:29community. Because if we did that, if we
- 19:31talked to them, if we engage them and said, look, we, we
- 19:34don't want to tell you what to believe.
- 19:35We just want to know where you're at and how we can help
- 19:37you and win them over. I know we can court them on our
- 19:41side. Technically speaking.
- 19:43The you know, when I, when people ask me, are you
- 19:45Republican or Democrat, Peter, I say I'm a Republican, but
- 19:48because of my values, I'm not a Republican because of the party,
- 19:52my values make the party, not the other way around.
- 19:56So there is this strong sentiment of firming up the
- 19:59foundation under, I would argue candidates like me that want to
- 20:03be able to advance a goal where it's not self-serving, where
- 20:07it's actually looking to make an effective change.
- 20:10I've said it before, I'm 100% OK with term limits.
- 20:13I get elected, I'm going to do a job and I know that there's
- 20:16consultants and there's folks that tell me, Peter, you got to
- 20:19be careful what you say because you got to put yourself in a
- 20:21position to get elected. I would argue it's the opposite.
- 20:24The best thing that I could do is commit to doing a job, not
- 20:27worry about getting elected when I get in there, actually do that
- 20:30job. And that might get me re
- 20:32elected. And if it doesn't, I'd be proud
- 20:34to serve just two years in Congress.
- 20:36But regardless, it will change the landscape of politics
- 20:39because people will be in there for the for the right reasons
- 20:41and not for the wrong reasons. It's the self-serving attitude
- 20:44that I think has destroyed the respect or the trust of the
- 20:47House of Representatives. So the GOP in California is not
- 20:51very strong. What has your support been like
- 20:53from the GOP and then what are you looking for?
- 20:56How can people help your campaign and help you?
- 20:59So I mean, as, as is California fractured when it comes to the
- 21:04GOP leadership. And I understand they're limited
- 21:07in resources. I would argue it's because of
- 21:09their top down system. Regardless, it's bottom up.
- 21:13It's empowering people. It's giving them the, the
- 21:16organizational structure. We have, you know, we have a, a
- 21:19firm that's behind us, It's supporting us and we obviously
- 21:22have the, the, the relationships that we've already built in the
- 21:25region. The, you know, we act, there's
- 21:27actually different organizations that are charters of the GOP
- 21:31like the CRA, California Republican Assembly that they're
- 21:34building that workforce. They're getting the, they're
- 21:37getting that the ultimately the support system connected to get
- 21:40out the vote to do the, the, you know, ballot harvesting, working
- 21:44with the churches. I'm actually close to Pastor Rob
- 21:47McCoy in Southern California, Pastor Mike McClure up in San
- 21:51Jose region. So there is different organic
- 21:55groups that are working together unifying the the base and the
- 21:59voter base basically to get out the vote.
- 22:02When's the big day for the election and then how can people
- 22:05support your campaign? So the big days, technically
- 22:08March 5th is right now the primary, but obviously in
- 22:12November 6th is the election. That's the big day.
- 22:15And yeah, if they can go to hernandezforcongress.com.
- 22:19Everything at Hernandez for Congress on all my social media
- 22:22handles, you'll be able to find me.
- 22:25You know, if you can donate, if you can call me, reach out and
- 22:28coordinate so that we can walk together, work together.
- 22:31I think there's a message to be had.
- 22:32I think the Latino community being very pro-life.
- 22:35There was actually an Axios poll done that highlights that if you
- 22:40look at the first generation individuals, families from
- 22:44Mexico, they're very, very pro-life.
- 22:46It's only the, the, the, the, you know, the postmodern
- 22:50sentiment of the, the Latino community that it isn't as much.
- 22:54Regardless, I believe once we bring them back to their roots,
- 22:57we're going to unify this district to win it back.
- 23:00Awesome. Well, listen, Peter, I wish you
- 23:02the very best. I think what you're doing is
- 23:05heroic and so needed. And I believe there's a future
- 23:07for this state, but it takes it's going to just take a lot of
- 23:10work and belief, and that's exactly what you're doing.
- 23:13So I hope people can support your campaign.
- 23:14Thanks for thanks to your work and we're rooting for you.
- 23:17Thank you. God bless you, Lila.

- 24:19Lila. So fun to sit down with you.
- 24:21Yeah, it's so good to be here and I watch so much of your work
- 24:26and the undercover work that Live Action has done has been
- 24:30very inspiring. Good.
- 24:31Well, I think your undercover work is awesome and I'm excited
- 24:35to talk about it today because people need to know what you're
- 24:37finding and exposing. And we're also both California
- 24:41girls, which I love, although you've defected.
- 24:44I yeah, I moved away in search of a better life, but who knows,
- 24:48I may be back in the future. So where did you move away to?
- 24:53Initially Florida, but I'm just on the road so much.
- 24:56Yeah, I don't know if I really live anywhere.
- 24:58Yeah, well, it's funny. A lot of Californians end up in
- 25:01Florida and like Governor DeSantis, everyone's like he's
- 25:05our, he's the best compared to Gavin Newsom.
- 25:07Like, I mean, they're, they're, they did that debate, you know,
- 25:10I think a couple months ago now, you know, the warrant, the
- 25:13debate of the governors, it's like 2 different ways of
- 25:15leadership. And I will take the California
- 25:17coastline and the California beauty.
- 25:20And I would just put DeSantis. Install him.
- 25:25Florida can have Newsom and I'll put the Santas.
- 25:27Yeah. No, I don't.
- 25:28I don't wish Newsom on anyone. All right, well, I'm excited to
- 25:32hear about sound investigations. We have a mutual friend, Eric
- 25:35Cochran, whom you work with and he exposed back in the day
- 25:39Pinterest listing live action and others basically blocking
- 25:45pro-life content on Pinterest because they're very pro
- 25:48abortion and listing us as pornography.
- 25:51Ironically, we're going to be talking about pornography today,
- 25:54but you have just done incredible work recently that's
- 25:57making a big impact. I want to start with your
- 25:59background, how you got into under cover work, because that's
- 26:03always an interesting story and unusual.
- 26:05Not a lot of people do that. Yeah.
- 26:08So let's start there. So I entered the acting world.
- 26:12I grew up in Los Angeles at 12 years old, and so I thought I
- 26:18was going to be an actress. I was pursuing acting work.
- 26:20I did guest roles on shows, you know, Disney, ABC Family type of
- 26:24content. And then as I got a little bit
- 26:28older, in my early 20s, I kind of started to have some
- 26:34different opinions than other people in Hollywood had, and I
- 26:38wasn't really able to speak openly about them.
- 26:42I felt like if I did, I would lose work and essentially be
- 26:47just unable to work in Hollywood anymore.
- 26:51There are other reasons, too. I mean, I went through a lot of
- 26:53very inappropriate situations during my time as an actor, and
- 27:00I was just looking for something else at a certain point.
- 27:03So I happened to meet an undercover journalist at a party
- 27:07and he convinced me to get into undercover.
- 27:10How do you How does a person at a party say hi?
- 27:13What do you do? I'm an undercover journalist.
- 27:15I. Know I didn't understand he had
- 27:17to. Like he said that.
- 27:18He literally said I've been undercover.
- 27:20I had no idea what it was he had to pull up.
- 27:22Do you out yourself like that at parties?
- 27:24I mean I. Guess he did.
- 27:26He did. He didn't care.
- 27:28He was maybe trying to impress you, I don't know.
- 27:31But, you know, he pulls up these videos that are, you know,
- 27:34undercover videos. Nothing I've ever seen before.
- 27:36And I was really impressed and I was feeling a little impulsive.
- 27:42I just decided to try it. And flash forward four years
- 27:47later, here I am working under sound investigations and
- 27:51investigating Pornhub. OK, so backing up to your acting
- 27:56experience, I have to ask what shows any shows that?
- 27:59Yeah, I think everyone where I go, you can just say yeah.
- 28:03So the most recognizable, I would say would be Modern
- 28:06Family. OK.
- 28:07And then I did a blackish, fresh off the boat, of course.
- 28:11Got it. Nice.
- 28:12I did a Disney show called Kicking It and you know, NCISLA,
- 28:16things like that where it was like shows that ran a really
- 28:19long time. Yeah.
- 28:20But your experience, it sounds like you said in the industry
- 28:22there were lots of, I think you used a word inappropriate
- 28:25situations even that you had to face.
- 28:27And then obviously the world view of people was sounds like
- 28:30it was increasingly different than yours.
- 28:31Yeah, I, you know, the industry, the entertainment industry is
- 28:36just really hyper sexualized, even to children.
- 28:40And I became very brainwashed. I think through all of that.
- 28:47I I came to believe as a young kid that I needed to be sexual
- 28:53or sexually appealing in order to be valuable to others.
- 28:58And that started when I was 12 when I entered the industry.
- 29:01So I was catering how I was dressing and acting to basically
- 29:06appeal to older men. And it was very destructive to
- 29:13myself worth and my confidence and just everything in my life.
- 29:19So as I got older, I gained some maturity and I gained some
- 29:27worldview on just that. There are more important things
- 29:31going on in the world than art and being on a new show.
- 29:35And I began to care about larger issues, including sexual
- 29:39exploitation, so. What sparked that for you?
- 29:42Starting to care about sexual exploitation, especially of
- 29:47kids. Yeah, I think witnessing a lot
- 29:49myself, you know, I just for example, like I was in a
- 29:54children's acting class where the adult teacher had me and
- 29:59another 13 year old girl make out very sexually on a couch
- 30:04many, many times in front of him.
- 30:05And he later solicited me for sex when I was about 15 or 16.
- 30:11And, you know, fill in the blank.
- 30:14So many different stories like that either.
- 30:16And it was under the guise of acting.
- 30:18I mean, that's what he was telling.
- 30:19You. Yeah, as a 13 year old, yeah,
- 30:22that's insane. Yeah, he said, you know, this is
- 30:24the scene you're doing. So, you know, act it out type of
- 30:27thing. And so many situations like
- 30:31that. I, I was one of the lucky ones.
- 30:33I witnessed and heard about much worse.
- 30:37But I started to notice an issue with how sexual very, very young
- 30:43kids were becoming just through under the guise of acting,
- 30:47right. So I think that's what planted
- 30:50the seed to make me care about sexual exploitation.
- 30:54So when you joined Eric Cochran at Sound Investigations, this is
- 30:58a new organization, the not-for-profit I understand
- 31:03correctly and Eric had done this great work before you joined
- 31:06him. How did the tell me about the
- 31:08genesis of hey, we're going to go explore expose Pornhub?
- 31:13Yeah, well, investigating the adult industry is something that
- 31:18Erics wanted to do for a long time now.
- 31:23And about a year ago, I guess he just finally got the resources
- 31:26together to form the organization.
- 31:29And he called me and said, hey, are you available to do some
- 31:33undercover work into Pornhub? Here?
- 31:35Read this article from The New York Times that was written in
- 31:392020, The Children of Pornhub and it details these underage
- 31:45victims abuse videos being monetized on Pornhub and all of
- 31:51their struggles to contact Pornhub to try to get them taken
- 31:55down. And just reading about that was
- 31:59mind blowing because I always believed the pornography
- 32:04industry was an evil and didn't have anyone's best interests at
- 32:10heart. But I don't think I was aware of
- 32:13how predatory it really was until I read that article.
- 32:19So I read that and I said, yeah, let's do it.
- 32:23And this is a complete passion project of both of ours.
- 32:27Eric is literally, you know, self funding this entire thing.
- 32:31So far, we haven't, we didn't solicit any donations for any
- 32:36like large money groups for anything.
- 32:38We just wanted to prove that we could do this.
- 32:40So this is both of our babies. Well, you definitely prove that
- 32:44you can do amazing things with this investigation.
- 32:47It went viral. The first video, we were really
- 32:50proud to put it up on our platforms and share it because
- 32:53it was so compelling. Let's walk through.
- 32:56Give us the very high level of what your approach was to expose
- 32:59Pornhub's exploitation of children.
- 33:02And then I want to actually watch some of the video with you
- 33:04and let our audience hear some of that video.
- 33:06Yeah, absolutely. One of the first videos you
- 33:08released. Yeah, I mean, it sounds crazy
- 33:11simple. We literally just checked up who
- 33:14works at Mindgeek, which at the time was the parent company of
- 33:17Pornhub. They have now changed the name
- 33:19to a low. So we're looking at who works
- 33:22for a low essentially. And we just used publicly
- 33:26available information to find who their employees were.
- 33:29And we thought of a few different creative ways we could
- 33:33get in touch with each of them. And we ended up speaking total,
- 33:37I think with about a dozen employees.
- 33:40OK, let's do some video viewing together now and share it with
- 33:44folks listening. So this is the first video
- 33:47released in the series from Sound Investigations.
- 33:52Any anything else people should know before they watch?
- 33:55We watch this together. No, this first video, it's
- 34:00features Mike Farley. He is an 11 year employee at
- 34:05Pornhub, he's the product manager there, and he was the
- 34:08number seven employee to ever be hired.
- 34:10Wow. And how big is Pornhub?
- 34:12Pornhub. It's hard to say.
- 34:15Speaking about the parent company, Alo, I believe they
- 34:20have like between 1 and 3000 employees.
- 34:23I don't know the exact number, but they're scattered kind of
- 34:26all around the world. It's one of the leading porn
- 34:28sites though. Yeah, I think it still stands as
- 34:31the number 8 most visited website in the entire world.
- 34:34Wow. It has a monopoly over North
- 34:37American porn in general. They own hundreds of different
- 34:40pornography websites. They do everything from right to
- 34:44shoot the pornography, they distribute it.
- 34:47They have their own in house ads network.
- 34:50Their competitors come to them for consulting.
- 34:53They have a monopoly. It's I think I would even
- 34:56venture to say almost impossible to watch online pornography
- 35:00North America without giving business or giving a view to a
- 35:04low the parent company. Wow, they are the Planned
- 35:07Parenthood of the porn industry. Yeah, that's a really good way
- 35:09to say it. OK, here we go are.
- 35:12You an adult me like who's in the that video of the girls
- 35:14rushing under her face like that was holding.
- 35:17That would be the loophole that I always like.
- 35:19I look at that and was like, that's everybody is just kind of
- 35:22rolling with it. Why don't they just roll with
- 35:26it? Why don't they say something?
- 35:28Who exploits the loophole? Everyone, you make a lot of
- 35:35money. You make this, use it or.
- 35:40We've brought it up in the, you know, we've brought it up in
- 35:42Seattle and they're both telling us talking.
- 35:44And the Cpl. is especially telling us, like they know that
- 35:49might shut up. I'm not gonna get caught.
- 35:53What if like? The government wants to find out
- 35:56about this new poll. What?
- 35:58They do. They're not gonna do.
- 36:04They're done. They don't know, so don't
- 36:08qualify. Meet Mike Farley Farley is a
- 36:13product manager at Pornhub who has been working at Pornhub for
- 36:17more than 10 years. Do.
- 36:19You think anything slips through the guys?
- 36:27I don't know. Because at the end of the day,
- 36:30it's like, why are you going to tell me?
- 36:34Like who's in that video of the girl's motion on her face?
- 36:37Because. Someone could still lie.
- 36:38And get around it. Because this is stupid because
- 36:40it's like I could be a contented uploader and I the only thing
- 36:44you need from me is like, you don't need a picture of my ID,
- 36:48my drivers, if that's my face off.
- 36:50But that's just my face off. I don't see my body and now my
- 36:54videos never have my face. You can't really guarantee that
- 37:00that would be the loophole that I always, if I look at that,
- 37:03it's like I stick this, but everybody is just kind of
- 37:06rolling with it. Why did they just roll?
- 37:10With it, why did they say something?
- 37:16It'd be counterintuitive in the business.
- 37:21Okay, so what's so incredible about this?
- 37:24Let's let's actually break this down for people listening.
- 37:26There's people watching this and there's also people listening on
- 37:28podcast right now. You can kind of hear what he's
- 37:30saying. He's talking about loopholes.
- 37:32He's talking about how you can't really verify someone saying
- 37:34that this is my content because it's supposed to be user
- 37:37generated, supposedly some of it.
- 37:39And the problem is you have these minors who get their
- 37:41videos uploaded, these children, and they have no recourse and
- 37:45they're victimized again and again.
- 37:46So help us walk us through what Mike Farley is saying, how
- 37:51Pornhub sees their loophole here to a lot basically profit off of
- 37:57kid children being exploited on their site.
- 38:00Yeah. So at the time of this video,
- 38:03this video is recorded last year in 2023.
- 38:07And at the time to upload a video to Pornhub, you have to
- 38:12verify your identity within the portal.
- 38:18And so that included submitting a government issued ID.
- 38:21And what Mike here is saying is there is a loophole where as an
- 38:26uploader, when their content moderation team is reviewing
- 38:31these uploads, there's no way for them to match a face on your
- 38:35ID to your body in a pornographic video since many of
- 38:40the pornographic videos on the platform never show a face.
- 38:45He says this is very common. So basically, it's just a bunch
- 38:49of guesswork. And later in the video, he goes,
- 38:54I asked him, you know, do rapists use this loophole, Do
- 38:58traffickers use this loophole? And he says, yes, of course, to
- 39:02make money, of course. So there are people out there
- 39:07that they are aware of exploiting these this loophole,
- 39:11uploading an ID and just uploading random pornographic
- 39:15videos that contain child abuse content to make money.
- 39:22So he says, if I remember correctly in the video, he at
- 39:26one point says, you know, he, I don't know if he's trying to be
- 39:29like the good guy, but he's basically like, he elevated this
- 39:32to his bosses. And what did what did he say
- 39:35happened? Yeah.
- 39:36So he was very aware of this loophole and didn't want to go
- 39:41down for it. Should the public find out about
- 39:45it or the government find out about it?
- 39:47So he sat down and recorded a meeting with the Cielo, the
- 39:51chief legal officer, and the CPO, the chief product officer.
- 39:56He secretly recorded it. I believe it was just an open OK
- 39:59that's good just because he wanted an on the record that he
- 40:04addressed this and it's not his fault if it goes unaddressed.
- 40:08And in his words, they told him to F off and shut up.
- 40:14So they knowingly are operating with this loophole, people
- 40:19exploiting it, uploading all sorts of illegal videos, child
- 40:24abuse content and they're they didn't want to do anything about
- 40:29it because it would cut into their profits.
- 40:32I mean, it's hard to, I kind of, I mean, I know the answer you're
- 40:36going to have to this question, but I want to ask it anyways,
- 40:38which is, you know, Pornhub. Pornhub is such a sleazy
- 40:42company. They're profiting off of
- 40:44objectification of human beings, period.
- 40:46Sexual objectification. Were you surprised when one of
- 40:51their top staffers admit this to you?
- 40:53So admits this to you so candidly on undercover camera
- 40:56that there's a loophole. And yes, rapists are using the
- 40:59site to exploit children. I guess I was surprised at the
- 41:05specificity in which he explained it.
- 41:07I wasn't, I hadn't really thought about this loophole or
- 41:11the possibility of this specific loophole before.
- 41:13So I guess you could say in a way, I was pleasantly surprised
- 41:18about the specificity of his explanation just because we
- 41:22strongly suspected it was happening.
- 41:25And so it was almost, it was a good thing that we actually got
- 41:29the admission. Yeah.
- 41:31So you weren't surprised that this was happening, but it's
- 41:34surprising how quick he was to. Just yeah, this was our first
- 41:37meeting. You sit here and we only met 2
- 41:39times total so. Wow, it's not.
- 41:42It's almost. I get the sense that he's almost
- 41:44unburdening himself a little bit.
- 41:46Yeah, I really don't think these employees are used to people
- 41:50wanting to know about their work.
- 41:52A few of them told me that they're used to people actually
- 41:55rejecting them or not wanting to associate with them because of
- 41:59where they work. Thank you so much to our

- 42:34but fueling the pro-life movement.
- 42:36That's every life.com. So what was it like?
- 42:39Because you get, you film this footage, you film, you do how
- 42:42many other conversations with other staffers at Pornhub?
- 42:46Oh man, I think I had. So I spoke with probably a dozen
- 42:53different staffers, probably, you know, 8 or so in person
- 42:59meetings with them. And then some were phone calls,
- 43:03some were virtual kind of calls. And then how many, what other,
- 43:07what other revelations came out of those conversations alongside
- 43:11this huge bombshell of, yes, there's a loophole when it comes
- 43:15to Child Exploitation content and we know about it, we don't
- 43:17care. A lot.
- 43:18So we got several reports of very poor content moderation,
- 43:24especially when it came to the pornographic ads being uploaded
- 43:28by advertisers on to Pornhub. They have their own in house ad
- 43:33platform called Traffic Junkie that any advertiser can just
- 43:36upload videos or images to. And one of these compliance
- 43:40employees for Traffic Junkie said that one of the criteria
- 43:47they used internally to determine if a girl was underage
- 43:50or not was if she was wearing makeup or if she had a piercing
- 43:55or if she had any type of tattoo.
- 43:58Then they would say OK, she's 18 or over, pass that through and
- 44:02she had a huge problem with this.
- 44:03She also said they would get calls all the time from girls
- 44:06saying hey this is me in an ad, I didn't consent to this, please
- 44:10take this down. And she said they very well
- 44:14could have some skeezy only fans manager of underage girls
- 44:19advertising on the platform and they would never know.
- 44:22When they get that call from a girl saying this is me and
- 44:25especially if it's an underage girl, but any girl saying I
- 44:28don't want this, this is done against my will, what does?
- 44:30What's their policy? According to her, if you
- 44:34escalate any issue, all you're going to get is lip service and
- 44:38that's why she decided to quit because she didn't feel like in
- 44:42good conscience she could participate in working for the
- 44:46company anymore. Another admission we got from a
- 44:50senior scriptwriter for a low he writes the pornographic scripts.
- 44:55He said that the actors who appear to be about 15 years old,
- 45:02they their ads perform the best, they do the most conversion
- 45:06rates because it draws pedophiles that they can turn
- 45:10into whales or big spenders, and it also draws young teens.
- 45:17And another disturbing admission from him was that they
- 45:21purposefully advertise gay, bi and trans pornography to
- 45:28historically straight viewers in order to quote, convert them in
- 45:33a marketing sense, I believe is how he meant that.
- 45:37But effectually it kind of means the same thing, right?
- 45:40They're they're trying to manipulate someone's sexuality.
- 45:43And I think that's really predatory.
- 45:47That is so dark. Yeah.
- 45:49I mean, starting with the first thing you said about the 15 year
- 45:53olds and the fact that this is happening and technically it's
- 45:59illegal. I mean, that's the thing.
- 46:00Thank God some pornography is illegal.
- 46:03Pornography, pornographic expectation of children, that's
- 46:07illegal today. But regardless of that fact,
- 46:10child sexual abuse material is proliferating online.
- 46:13It's yeah, every year it increases.
- 46:16And it's even being normalized in an unfortunately technically
- 46:20legal way if you have, you know, a 20 year old actor who looks
- 46:25super, super young. And so they craft these
- 46:30situations in the pornographic video where it appears to be
- 46:34like an older woman with this young boy.
- 46:39And they do that purposefully because it draws a huge
- 46:41audience. And it's technically legal, but
- 46:44I think it's really damaging because it normalizes these
- 46:47predatory situations. So how many videos have you
- 46:50released total now exposing Pornhub?
- 46:52We've released a total of 7 full length undercover videos.
- 46:57We did another mini release, so technically 8.
- 47:01The mini release was kind of interesting.
- 47:03That same senior scriptwriter tells me that a LO hires
- 47:08psychologists just to satisfy like banks and credit cards as
- 47:15almost it's just like performative.
- 47:18They say, you know, oh, this is ethical, this is unethical and
- 47:23the banks and credit cards have someone to point to just so they
- 47:26have an excuse to still do business with a LO.
- 47:30And it's really hypocritical because they're not allowed to
- 47:34have any type of depiction of alcohol in any of the
- 47:37pornographic videos, even a glass of wine.
- 47:39It's a huge no no. They can't even they can't do
- 47:42that. What about?
- 47:42Smoking. I don't know about smoking, but
- 47:47you know, the teen category, the incest category are some of the
- 47:51most popular on the platform. So how do you justify the fact
- 47:55that alcohol is not ethical but teen and incest is?
- 48:01That just doesn't make any sense.
- 48:03It's insane. So when you first put out these
- 48:07videos, what was the response and when did you first release?
- 48:12We began releasing in September of 2023, just last year.
- 48:18And initially, of course, Pornhub's lawyers are very angry
- 48:22with us. We've been threatened legally
- 48:25several times by them, but as far as the public reaction, you
- 48:32know, 26 state attorneys general have issued a joint letter to a
- 48:36Low, the parent company of Pornhub, demanding changes.
- 48:40What changes are they demanding? They want transparency about the
- 48:43loophole addressed in in the first video release, but
- 48:48unfortunately Pornhub never responded.
- 48:50They just completely disregarded US state Attorneys General,
- 48:54which is mind blowing to me. So we need to have follow
- 48:58through on that and that's what we intend to work on.
- 49:02In our undercover videos have been cited as evidence in class
- 49:06action suits against a low further involvement in sex
- 49:10trafficking. So hopefully our videos will
- 49:14help these victims get the justice that they deserve.
- 49:19It's crazy and So what do you think is the the solution here?
- 49:23Because like you said, Pornhub didn't even respond to the
- 49:27letters from the attorneys general.
- 49:29I'm not surprised by that, by the way, we've, I think we've
- 49:31generated things like that in the past with parenthood.
- 49:33And they're just like, well, if you can't directly touch us,
- 49:36we're going to keep doing what we're going to do.
- 49:38So they operate with this impunity because they're not
- 49:41being, you know, they're not being held accountable.
- 49:43What What is the pathway legally to hold Pornhub accountable for
- 49:48this? Well, you know.
- 49:50And to shut them down, quite frankly, they need to be shut
- 49:52down. Yeah, there is a very recent
- 49:54criminal case out of the Eastern District of New York and Pornhub
- 49:59did admit to profiting off of sex trafficking, but
- 50:02unfortunately they received a slap on the wrist.
- 50:06They got put on like a three-year probationary period
- 50:09where if any evidence of further sex trafficking on their
- 50:13platform is found, then their criminal charges have to be
- 50:17permanent. So at the end of these three
- 50:20years, if nothing's found, their charges will be dropped.
- 50:24So Pornhub is scared. They're they are actually
- 50:28sweating right now. We see that because of what
- 50:31they're doing lately. So just last week they revised
- 50:34their upload policy to Pornhub. So now each participant in a
- 50:39video has to be verified for age and consent.
- 50:44How? How does one do that?
- 50:46They got a loophole right? So as far as I know it's the ID
- 50:52and like written consent, so that still doesn't address the
- 50:55loophole in an art. Meeting you have to upload a
- 50:58paper of them. Right.
- 50:59I believe so, yeah. How do they know it was written
- 51:02by the person and the ID? And how?
- 51:03It doesn't make sense to me. And it also doesn't apply
- 51:07retroactively, so it's only to new videos.
- 51:10It doesn't apply to their ad platform.
- 51:12So the pornographic ads, they don't require any verification
- 51:18of identity of age of anyone in a pornographic video.
- 51:22I posed as an advertiser and called into their ad platform
- 51:26and said I have all these videos of young girls, they look like
- 51:31they could be underage. What should I do?
- 51:34And they said go ahead and upload them anyway.
- 51:37We decide whether someone's underage or not, and if we do
- 51:42deem them to be underage, we'll just let you know when we're not
- 51:46going to hurt your account. And we also do not report to law
- 51:49enforcement. Not right there.
- 51:53I mean, there are there are reporting laws, you know,
- 51:55typically they're guardian relationships or they're like,
- 51:58you know, a nurse or they're someone who can have contact
- 52:01with a child and who would be aware or made aware of child
- 52:06sexual abuse taking place. And then there it triggers a
- 52:07report. I mean, obviously if somebody,
- 52:11you know, is getting uploads like at Pornhub and they can see
- 52:15that they're ready, children involved, you think that they
- 52:18should be required to report that?
- 52:21That would be a. That would be a bright red flag.
- 52:24Yeah, you would think so. There's so many weird Gray areas
- 52:30I don't really understand. I think there's a reason why
- 52:34Pornhub is not based in the US They're based in Canada and they
- 52:37operate offices in like Eastern Europe as well.
- 52:41So I I, I, I hope there are black and white laws where they
- 52:48could easily be charged and held accountable, but so far it
- 52:51really doesn't seem like there are.
- 52:54Do you think porn should be banned?
- 52:57In a better world, porn wouldn't exist, but I think what's
- 53:02realistic to say is that changing cultural paradigms
- 53:06surrounding porn porn would be the most effective and realistic
- 53:10solution to accurate problems. But do you think Pornhub should
- 53:15be banned? Yes, continuing to operate,
- 53:18absolutely. Pornhub should be criminally
- 53:20charged and their executives should be behind bars, period.
- 53:25They have operated too long illegally hosting abuse content
- 53:30and not only of children. We have revenge porn, we have
- 53:33voyeurism, we have date rapes being monetized and there's no
- 53:41concern. I mean, Mike Farley said on
- 53:43tape, you know, there was a time when we would go through videos
- 53:48and the only videos we would reject were were someone was
- 53:51literally getting murdered. They just let everything
- 53:55through. They've operated too long.
- 53:57They shouldn't be able to be a legitimate business.
- 54:02And Pornhub recently stopped operating in I think Utah.
- 54:07Yes, Explain what's happening there for folks.
- 54:10Yeah. So across the US, in a bunch of
- 54:12different states, these states are passing ID verification
- 54:16laws. We're now if you want to log on
- 54:19to a site like Pornhub to be a user, you have to verify your
- 54:22age by putting in an ID. And at first, I think the first
- 54:28state was Louisiana. And so Pornhub complied with
- 54:32Louisiana's ID law, and they reported an 80% drop in traffic
- 54:37to this site when people have to verify their age.
- 54:40Wow. So next was Utah and Pornhub
- 54:44just decided to essentially strike and say, well, we're
- 54:47going to make ourselves unavailable for Utah users.
- 54:51And we have more and more states passing these laws.
- 54:53I think we have Virginia, North Carolina, we have Texas, several
- 54:59more states. And each time Pornhub is said,
- 55:03well then we're going to be unavailable in your state
- 55:06because this is detrimental to our business having to verify
- 55:09age. And to clarify, this is verify
- 55:12age for people to just use to just watch to consume
- 55:15pornography as opposed to the loophole process of yeah you
- 55:20need an ID to upload pornography but it could be the pornography
- 55:23of someone else and it's your ID.
- 55:24Yeah. So these ID laws are for viewers
- 55:27specifically? Yeah.
- 55:28So it's a lot of underage viewers that.
- 55:30Many underage viewers and in the undercover videos, there is one
- 55:36video about viewers of pornography, children as
- 55:39viewers. And we have employees who
- 55:41express encouragement for children as young as 12 to watch
- 55:45pornography, saying they could find their kink on a site like
- 55:49men.com, which is an A low owned site.
- 55:52A 12 year old could benefit from watching trans angels if they're
- 55:56confused or want to explore their sexuality.
- 55:59So many of these employees don't even care if children watch the
- 56:02site. And that is apparent because
- 56:06when you go on the site, their age verification is you check a
- 56:09box that says I'm 18. I mean, it's sexual abuse to
- 56:13expose a minor to porn. Is 100% yeah sexual abuse to
- 56:17expose a minor to porn? OK, what's what's it been like
- 56:21for you, Arden? You're on the road a lot and
- 56:24it's, again, these videos have reached a lot of people.
- 56:27They've inspired action, which is awesome.
- 56:29Congratulations on that. I know you're just getting
- 56:31started. What's life been like for you
- 56:34the last few months? Really unexpected and crazy, but
- 56:39really good. I I was expecting me becoming
- 56:45public and talking about this to be a big sacrifice and the way
- 56:49it has right? But something I didn't realize
- 56:52was that I'd be getting such a wonderful community and so many
- 56:57people who care about these issues like you.
- 57:01And so it's been overwhelmingly positive, to be honest.
- 57:06Just busy but in a good. Way it's awesome.
- 57:09And then what's next for you and Sound Investigations and Eric?
- 57:12Yeah, well, we hope to expand. We are still really small.
- 57:16It's just us 2. Eric has completely self funded
- 57:21this project, so we will be looking for people who want to
- 57:25support us to be able to keep going.
- 57:28We really want to do a lot of follow through with these
- 57:32attorneys general and some lawmakers who expressed interest
- 57:36in holding Pornhub accountable. But it takes so much time and
- 57:38follow through that we want to be able to focus on that for a
- 57:41bit, yeah. And one last thing on the law,
- 57:44because I do think, you know, you said earlier they should be
- 57:47shut down. You know this is all criminal.
- 57:50What additional law or laws need to be passed?
- 57:54Yeah. For this to fix not just
- 57:57loopholes, but to really make sure justice happens and and
- 58:01especially young young children are protected.
- 58:04Yeah, Section 230 must be amended.
- 58:07Section 230 essentially grants big tech platforms immunity from
- 58:12being sued for hosting content on their site.
- 58:16So Pornhub, their parent company a LO has kind of grouped
- 58:20themselves in in in calling themselves a tech platform
- 58:24rather than part of the adult industry, right.
- 58:27And are claiming immunity under section 2:30.
- 58:30So I really think we need, we need the ability to be able to
- 58:37at least pursue charges if a site like Pornhub is hosting
- 58:44underage content. It takes so much, it takes a big
- 58:47class action to be able to do that now.
- 58:50And I think if individual victims are able to pursue
- 58:54justice against a site like Pornhub, then that would really
- 58:58help. You might, you might end up
- 59:01getting that accomplished. That's been talked about now.
- 59:04First a few years and yeah, the fact that they operate Facebook
- 59:09and these other platforms with impunity.
- 59:12They get to put up whatever content and by the way, censor
- 59:15the content. That's the part that they claim
- 59:17they're a publisher and under 230, they can operate with
- 59:20protections of not being liable for anything on their sites.
- 59:22But then they do call balls and strikes about the content that
- 59:26people see through the algorithm or they censor content like
- 59:29pro-life content on Pinterest, you know, as Eric originally
- 59:32found. And they can't have it both
- 59:35ways. Right.
- 59:36And I'm sure you face this a lot, but all the the major tech
- 59:40platforms are heavily censoring our content and the.
- 59:44Content of sound investigation. Yeah, of sound investigation.
- 59:47So tell me, what does that look like?
- 59:48I'm currently shadow banned across pretty much every
- 59:51platform. People have to type in my full
- 59:54handle to even find my page. I was demonetized on Twitter
- 59:59just without notice, just randomly so.
- 1:00:01Tag Elon. I know I don't know what it is.
- 1:00:06It's just, it's, I guess it's very controversial, but yet we
- 1:00:10have accounts on Twitter literally posting pornography
- 1:00:14who I'm sure are making money from it.
- 1:00:16So or else why would they do it, right?
- 1:00:19So the fact that I'm trying to raise awareness about this stuff
- 1:00:24and I'm demonetised and there's pornographic, you know, content
- 1:00:28on Twitter. It's just kind of a clown world
- 1:00:33situation. Absolutely.
- 1:00:35OK. How can people follow you on
- 1:00:37your shadow plan platforms and then also not just follow you
- 1:00:40there, but how can they support sound investigations?
- 1:00:43Yeah, so you can keep doing this very important work.
- 1:00:45So they can go to soundinvestigations.com/donate
- 1:00:49to support us and everything helps and we so appreciate it
- 1:00:53because we want to be able to continue.
- 1:00:56And on Twitter, I would say it's probably my most active
- 1:00:59platform. I am Arden under score, a young
- 1:01:03under score. I'm the same on Instagram.
- 1:01:07And then you'll see if you go to my Twitter, the Sound
- 1:01:10Investigations Twitter page is in my bio, so they can follow
- 1:01:12there as well. Awesome, and I hope people also
- 1:01:15subscribe to your YouTube channel.
- 1:01:17Thank you. You guys put stuff up there
- 1:01:19regularly and it's first to release on there, right?
- 1:01:21Yeah, we post on YouTube sound investigations, so yeah.
- 1:01:27Awesome. Well, Arden, you're doing
- 1:01:28amazing work. Thank you.
- 1:01:29I'm very, very encouraged by what you're doing and admire it.
- 1:01:33Keep it up. We're cheering for you.
- 1:01:35And, you know, say hello to Eric, tell him he's amazing and
- 1:01:39keep it up. Thank you so much, Lila.
- 1:01:41I appreciate it likewise. Thanks so much for listening to
- 1:01:45this episode of the Lila Rose Podcast.
- 1:01:47I hope you're encouraged by Peter Hernandez and Arden Young.
- 1:01:49I'm excited to bring you more people that are going to inspire
- 1:01:52you that are really culture makers and culture warriors.
- 1:01:56The reality is we're living in a very difficult time and in some
- 1:01:58ways a dark time when it comes to moral issues in the West.
- 1:02:02But my hope and my belief is that when enough of us rise up,
- 1:02:06stand up, speak the truth, act courageously, take initiative,
- 1:02:09we can be the change that we need to see out in the culture.
