- 0:01Speaker 1: It is two am as I am recording this for
- 0:03Speaker 1: you right now Eastern Standard time, and it is incredible
- 0:07Speaker 1: to watch what is happening in Israel right now. Red
- 0:10Speaker 1: Cross teams have already begun retrieving the captive who've been held,
- 0:15Speaker 1: many of them underground for more than two years. In fact,
- 0:19Speaker 1: many of them may not have even realized they were
- 0:22Speaker 1: being rescued until they were put into the Red Cross vehicles.
- 0:26Speaker 1: The initial batch of seven have been handed over early
- 0:30Speaker 1: this morning, and the full transfer is expected by noon
- 0:34Speaker 1: local time in Israel. Now, as I am doing this
- 0:37Speaker 1: show right now, we are witnessing the emotional moment after
- 0:42Speaker 1: more than two years of anguish since the October seventh
- 0:46Speaker 1: teer attack that claimed more than one thy two hundred
- 0:49Speaker 1: Israeli lives and saw two hundred and fifty one people
- 0:53Speaker 1: abducted as hostages. In exchange for this moment, Israel will
- 0:58Speaker 1: free approximately two one thousand Palestinian prisoners were being told,
- 1:03Speaker 1: including two hundred and fifty serving long sentences and one thousand,
- 1:08Speaker 1: seven hundred detained during the conflict. Alongside the return of
- 1:13Speaker 1: twenty eight hostage bodies, the recovering the remains of the
- 1:17Speaker 1: remaining deceised captives may extend beyond today, were being told.
- 1:23Speaker 1: We also know that the president will be landing soon
- 1:26Speaker 1: and greeted upon his arrival by the Israeli Prime Minister
- 1:29Speaker 1: net and Yahoo and the Israeli President as well. I
- 1:33Speaker 1: want you to hear the moment as it was told
- 1:36Speaker 1: on CNN about the Israeli crowd cheering at the top
- 1:40Speaker 1: of their lungs at Hostage Square upon the announcement of
- 1:44Speaker 1: seven hostages who are alive being delivered to the Red Cross. Wolfe.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I can tell you because it happened just moments ago.
- 1:54Speaker 2: When the announcement came that the hostages were in the
- 1:57Speaker 2: hands of the Red Cross, this entire crowd cheered at
- 2:02Speaker 2: the top of their bombs of surprise. Honestly, you couldn't
- 2:06Speaker 2: hear it from the rooftop of the hotel where you
- 2:09Speaker 2: are now. It was extraordinary. We have seen this square,
- 2:15Speaker 2: which has become a sort of vocal point before the
- 2:19Speaker 2: movement to bring their hostages home, just fill up in
- 2:24Speaker 2: the last few hours. Some people came here as early
- 2:27Speaker 2: as four or five in the morning before sunrise to
- 2:31Speaker 2: guarantee that they could get themselves a place to witness
- 2:35Speaker 2: history walk because that is what is happening here now.
- 2:39Speaker 2: There are many thousands of people who are here. You
- 2:43Speaker 2: can see that brok behind me, black clock marks every second,
- 2:48Speaker 2: every minute, every hour, every day that these hostages have
- 2:53Speaker 2: been held in captivity. And now, for the first time,
- 2:59Speaker 2: Israeli's really starting to embrace the very real possibility that
- 3:04Speaker 2: that clock will finally stop with the arrival of these
- 3:09Speaker 2: twenty hostages. And I will say, you can probably feel
- 3:14Speaker 2: just the shift even then. Well, if you go from
- 3:16Speaker 2: moments of elation where the crowd is cheering, to moments
- 3:21Speaker 2: of real quiet, of real sadness, of real grief, we
- 3:26Speaker 2: see a lot of tears in the crowd, a lot
- 3:29Speaker 2: of emotion, a lot of posters as well for the
- 3:33Speaker 2: hostages who will not be coming home alive today, have
- 3:38Speaker 2: been killed in captivity, who will be coming home in coffins.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And so you feel this sort of extraordinary wave of
- 3:50Speaker 2: different emotions with Israelis, of all different political ideologies and
- 3:57Speaker 2: backgrounds coming together in a display of unity, of joy,
- 4:05Speaker 2: of grief, of sadness. There's a sense of serenity and comments.
- 4:11Speaker 2: But such a long wait for these people, for these families,
- 4:16Speaker 2: for the hostages who have been released and who I'm
- 4:19Speaker 2: championed tirelessly around the clock to see all their fellow
- 4:23Speaker 2: hostages home. And now we wait for the moment that
- 4:28Speaker 2: these people, the entire country and the entire world will
- 4:32Speaker 2: finally hear the words that those hostages are back in Israel. Wolf.
- 4:39Speaker 1: We're also being told again as I'm doing this after
- 4:41Speaker 1: two am Eastern time in the morning, that the Red
- 4:44Speaker 1: Cross has now handed the first seven hostages who are
- 4:49Speaker 1: still alive over to the Israeli military. This again is
- 4:56Speaker 1: another moment where we now know these hostages will be safe.
- 5:01Speaker 1: We also know that the Benjamin Netnaho had this to
- 5:06Speaker 1: say earlier today about how we got to where we are. Now,
- 5:11Speaker 1: you are going to hear NETANYAHUO speak first, Then you
- 5:14Speaker 1: are going to hear Jared Kushner, the President's son in law,
- 5:18Speaker 1: who worked on this deal as well. And then finally
- 5:22Speaker 1: you are going to hear from another person, Steve Whitkoff,
- 5:26Speaker 1: and you're going to hear all of what they had
- 5:27Speaker 1: to say at a joint press conference about how we
- 5:30Speaker 1: got to this moment. Listen carefully, We're.
- 5:34Speaker 3: At a amendous development. In the last two years. We
- 5:40Speaker 3: fought doing these two years to the achievea warreams in
- 5:44Speaker 3: Central One of these warreams is to maternity osages, all
- 5:48Speaker 3: of the osages, the living in the d and we're
- 5:51Speaker 3: about to achieve that group. We couldn't live a chief
- 5:56Speaker 3: without the extraordinary help President Conference, Steve Whitcomb and Garant Pushman.
- 6:03Speaker 3: They worked tirelessly with Ron and his team, our team
- 6:08Speaker 3: UH and UH that and the courage of our soldiers
- 6:13Speaker 3: who UH entered Gaza, and the combined military and diplomatic
- 6:18Speaker 3: pressure that isolated the class I think as bodies. To
- 6:22Speaker 3: this point, I wanna personally thank both of you, Steve
- 6:26Speaker 3: Jareded UH spend long hours work round the clock, but
- 6:39Speaker 3: not only worked. I I think you you put in
- 6:44Speaker 3: your UH, your brains and your hearts, and we know
- 6:49Speaker 3: that it's UH for the benefit of Israel and the
- 6:52Speaker 3: United States, for the benefit of UH decent people living there,
- 6:55Speaker 3: and for the benefit of these families who will finally
- 6:58Speaker 3: get to be with our mothers. And I want to
- 7:00Speaker 3: thank you on their be out as well to behalfy
- 7:02Speaker 3: for people who act you with ALM.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Obviously bringing the hostages his home is a It's been
- 7:12Speaker 4: a priority for President Trump for a very very long
- 7:15Speaker 4: time and and we've all worked very.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Tirelessly to do that.
- 7:19Speaker 4: But I really want to say that this all would
- 7:21Speaker 4: not have been possible without the bravery of the IDEF
- 7:24Speaker 4: and the soldiers. What they've accomplished not just in Gaza,
- 7:28Speaker 4: but also what they've done in the theater over the
- 7:31Speaker 4: last couple of years to eliminate has belond the North
- 7:34Speaker 4: and really degrade them. What you were able to do
- 7:36Speaker 4: in Iran it really helps set a big tone. But
- 7:39Speaker 4: particularly seeing the way that your citizen army, I know
- 7:42Speaker 4: a lot of you, probably all of you have family
- 7:44Speaker 4: friends who are in this effort. You know, really, you know,
- 7:47Speaker 4: put your sacrifices on the line to fight for your
- 7:50Speaker 4: country and to try and try to make a difference.
- 7:53Speaker 4: I think that made a very very big difference in there,
- 7:56Speaker 4: and I wanna just give a very very special thanks
- 7:58Speaker 4: to mister Natanyahu, who really did an incredible job with
- 8:03Speaker 4: this and did a great job to negotiations. You held
- 8:07Speaker 4: your lines firm, and I think that between you and
- 8:10Speaker 4: President Trump you had a lot of alignment on what the.
- 8:13Speaker 3: End state should be.
- 8:14Speaker 5: The hardest job was the Prime Minister's. He had the
- 8:17Speaker 5: job of protecting this country. He had the job of
- 8:20Speaker 5: making tough choices with regard to how tough to be
- 8:24Speaker 5: with Hamas, when to be flexible, when not to be flexible.
- 8:30Speaker 5: I think to myself all the time, I lost sleepover it.
- 8:33Speaker 3: What would I have done.
- 8:34Speaker 5: In some of those circumstances. There were times that I
- 8:37Speaker 5: thought we should be more flexible, what your country should
- 8:41Speaker 5: be more flexible? But the truth is, as I look back,
- 8:44Speaker 5: I don't think we get to this place without Prime
- 8:46Speaker 5: Minister Nanyahu playing it. I'm not just saying that, not
- 8:56Speaker 5: just words. The President believes that, My president believes it
- 9:00Speaker 5: believes that Prime Minister Netnyaku made some very very difficult calls,
- 9:06Speaker 5: and lesser people would not have made those calls. And
- 9:09Speaker 5: here we are today because Amas had to. They had
- 9:14Speaker 5: to do this deal. The pressure was on them.
- 9:17Speaker 3: They were backed up.
- 9:18Speaker 5: And you've got the bigger army. You were making inroads
- 9:22Speaker 5: and that's what led to this deal.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Now, there are many leaders around the world, and many
- 9:26Speaker 1: that are being honest about how incredible this moment is
- 9:29Speaker 1: and how it would have not happened without the leadership
- 9:32Speaker 1: of President Trump, who was clearly able to do something
- 9:35Speaker 1: that the Biden administration never even got close to. Accomplishing
- 9:39Speaker 1: and this is a moment where politics shouldn't actually matter.
- 9:43Speaker 1: There are very few in the Democratic Party that are
- 9:46Speaker 1: putting politics aside. One of those was actually Hillary Clinton,
- 9:50Speaker 1: and here's what she had to say to the world
- 9:53Speaker 1: about what is being accomplished right now.
- 9:57Speaker 6: It's a really significant first s depth and I really
- 10:02Speaker 6: commend President Trump and his administration, as well as Arab
- 10:08Speaker 6: leaders in the region for making the commitment to the
- 10:13Speaker 6: twenty point plan and seeing a path forward for what's
- 10:19Speaker 6: often called the day After. Most importantly, the conflict hopefully
- 10:26Speaker 6: will end with the ceasefire, the hostages will be returned,
- 10:31Speaker 6: and then the very hard work of rebuilding Gaza, of
- 10:35Speaker 6: finding the kind of security that Israel and the Palestinians
- 10:40Speaker 6: after Hamas deserved to have. Moving forward with the other
- 10:45Speaker 6: points in the plan to try to create an opportunity
- 10:50Speaker 6: for Palestinians to have a better life and for Israel
- 10:53Speaker 6: to have greater peace and security. I am very hopeful
- 10:59Speaker 6: that we'll be able to see progress. Today's a good start,
- 11:03Speaker 6: but we have to keep going from here.
- 11:05Speaker 1: So this is where we are now at two ten
- 11:08Speaker 1: am in the morning. We are expecting more hostages to
- 11:12Speaker 1: be handed over and by the time you hear this,
- 11:14Speaker 1: hopefully all twenty of the living hostages will be returned
- 11:18Speaker 1: to Israel. We are also expecting that the President United
- 11:22Speaker 1: States of America and Netanyahu will have a lot to
- 11:25Speaker 1: say about this moment after he lands, and I promise
- 11:28Speaker 1: you I will have all of it for you. So
- 11:31Speaker 1: make sure you hit that subscriber auto download button and
- 11:34Speaker 1: share this forty seven special update wherever you can on
- 11:39Speaker 1: social media. Pray for the hostages, pray for their families,
- 11:43Speaker 1: and also pray for those whose loved ones are being returned.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Unfortunately that we're killed that were murdered by these terrasts.
- 11:51Speaker 1: There are many that are going to be grieving and
- 11:54Speaker 1: are going to be sad, and are going to be
- 11:57Speaker 1: wishing that it was theirs that was still alive one
- 12:01Speaker 1: instead of being the remains being returned. Our thoughts and
- 12:04Speaker 1: prayers with the people in Israel and so many that
- 12:07Speaker 1: lost their loved ones because of this horrific attack on
- 12:11Speaker 1: the Jewish people. Every so often something happens that reminds
- 12:16Speaker 1: us just how fragile our freedoms are. We can't afford
- 12:19Speaker 1: to take our rights for granted. We must draw a
- 12:22Speaker 1: line in the sand and our friends at Patriot Mobile
- 12:26Speaker 1: have been doing just that for more than twelve years.
- 12:29Speaker 1: The truth is there is only one provider that boldly
- 12:33Speaker 1: stands in the gap for Americans who believe freedom is
- 12:36Speaker 1: worth fighting for, and that company is Patriot Mobile. Not
- 12:39Speaker 1: only are they leading the red economy, they're also outpacing

- 13:30Speaker 1: unborn children, and are wounded warriors and those that have
- 13:34Speaker 1: fought for a country and wear a badge. So take
- 13:37Speaker 1: a stand today and make a difference with every call
- 13:40Speaker 1: you make. Patriot mobile dot com slash ferguson or nine

- 13:49Speaker 1: for a free month of service as well. That's Patriot
- 13:52Speaker 1: mobile dot com slash ferguson or nine seven to two
- 13:56Speaker 1: Patriot and make the switch and make a difference with
- 13:59Speaker 1: every call you make. President Donald Trump has set off
- 14:04Speaker 1: for Israel and Egypt on Sunday to celebrate the US
- 14:08Speaker 1: broker ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas and
- 14:13Speaker 1: to urge Middle East allies to seize the opportunity to
- 14:16Speaker 1: build a durable peace in the volatile region. Now you
- 14:22Speaker 1: think about that, and it's pretty incredible that we're even
- 14:25Speaker 1: having this conversation because you have a president that said,
- 14:29Speaker 1: I'm going to take on the impossible. That's what I'm
- 14:33Speaker 1: going to do. Well, not only did President Trump set
- 14:36Speaker 1: off to do this, but he knows it's a fragile
- 14:39Speaker 1: moment with Israel and Hamas only in the early stages
- 14:42Speaker 1: of implementing the first phase of the Trump Agreement, designed
- 14:46Speaker 1: to bring a permanent end to the war that sparked
- 14:50Speaker 1: the October seventh attack on Israel, which has lit all
- 14:54Speaker 1: of this on fire by the Hamas and Ran backed militants.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Trump thinks there's a narrow window to reshape the Middle
- 15:03Speaker 1: East and reset long, well tough relations between Israel and
- 15:08Speaker 1: its Arab neighbors. It is in a moment, the Republican
- 15:13Speaker 1: president says that has been helped along by his administration's
- 15:17Speaker 1: support of Israel's decision to decimate Iranian proxies, including Hamas
- 15:22Speaker 1: and Gaza and haspalagn Lebanon, and also America attacking those
- 15:26Speaker 1: nuclear sites in Iran. Trump told reporters before Air Force
- 15:31Speaker 1: One took off, quote, we are very excited about this
- 15:34Speaker 1: moment in time, he said, many people in both Israel
- 15:38Speaker 1: and Arab countries were cheering the agreement, adding that everybody's
- 15:43Speaker 1: amazed and they're thrilled, and we're going to have an
- 15:46Speaker 1: amazing time. The White House says momentum is also building
- 15:50Speaker 1: because Arab and Muslim states are demonstrating a renewed focus
- 15:53Speaker 1: on resolving the broader decades along Israeli Palestinian conflict and
- 16:00Speaker 1: in some cases deepening relations with the United States of America.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Now.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Donald Trump's comments as a trip began followed him saying
- 16:07Speaker 1: Friday that quote, I think you are going to have
- 16:10Speaker 1: tremendous success, and Gaza is going to be rebuilt, and
- 16:14Speaker 1: that you have some very wealthy countries, as you know
- 16:16Speaker 1: over there. It would take a small fraction of their
- 16:19Speaker 1: wealth to do that, and I think they want to
- 16:22Speaker 1: do it now. The first phase of the ceasefire agreement
- 16:25Speaker 1: calls for the release of the final forty eight hostages
- 16:29Speaker 1: held by Hamas, including about twenty to believe to be alive.
- 16:33Speaker 1: The release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel
- 16:38Speaker 1: is part of the trade. A surge of humanitarian aid
- 16:41Speaker 1: will also come to Gaza and a partial pullback by
- 16:46Speaker 1: Israeli forces from Gaza's main cities. Israeli troops on Friday
- 16:51Speaker 1: finished withdrawing from parts of Gaza, triggering a seventy two
- 16:55Speaker 1: hour countdown under the deal for Hamas to release it's
- 16:59Speaker 1: Israeli hotages, potentially while Trump is on the ground there.
- 17:04Speaker 1: He said he expected their return to be completed on
- 17:06Speaker 1: Monday or Tuesday. Trump will then visit with Israel first
- 17:12Speaker 1: to meet with hostage families, and they will also meet
- 17:16Speaker 1: with Parliament. An honor last ex senate to President George W.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Bush during his visit in two thousand and eight. Vice
- 17:22Speaker 1: President Jedy Vance on Sunday also said Trump is likely
- 17:27Speaker 1: to meet with the newly freed hostages. Knock on wood,
- 17:30Speaker 1: he said, but we feel very confident the hostages will
- 17:34Speaker 1: be released, and this president is actually traveling to the
- 17:37Speaker 1: Middle East, likely this evening in order to meet them
- 17:40Speaker 1: and greet them in person, is what Vance told CBS's
- 17:44Speaker 1: Face the Nation. Then after that, Trump will stop in Egypt,
- 17:48Speaker 1: where he and the Egyptian president will lead a summit
- 17:52Speaker 1: with leaders from more than twenty countries on peace and
- 17:56Speaker 1: Gaza and in the broader Middle East. Is a tremendous truce,
- 18:01Speaker 1: and is unclear whether the sides have reached an agreement
- 18:05Speaker 1: on Gaza's postward governance. The territory's reconstruction will be on
- 18:10Speaker 1: the table as well, and Israel's demands at Amas's disarm
- 18:14Speaker 1: Negotiations over those issues could break down. That's a real
- 18:18Speaker 1: part of the conversation, and Israel has hinted it may
- 18:22Speaker 1: resume military operations if its demands are quote not met now.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Hr McMaster, national security advisor during Trump's first term, said
- 18:31Speaker 1: this quote, I think the chances of amostis arming themselves,
- 18:35Speaker 1: you know, are pretty close to zero. He said this
- 18:39Speaker 1: during an event for the Defense of Democracies on Thursday.
- 18:43Speaker 1: He said he thought what probably would happen in the
- 18:46Speaker 1: coming months is the Israeli army. The Israeli military is
- 18:49Speaker 1: going to have to just destroy them. Now, Israel continues
- 18:53Speaker 1: to roll over millions of Palestinians without basic rights as
- 18:56Speaker 1: settlements expand rapidly across the occupied West Bank. Despite growing
- 19:00Speaker 1: international recognition, Palestinian statehood appears exceedingly remote because of Israel's
- 19:05Speaker 1: opposition and actions on the ground there as well. Is
- 19:09Speaker 1: how it's being reported in The Times. The war has
- 19:13Speaker 1: quote left Israel isolated internationally, they claim, in facing allegations
- 19:17Speaker 1: of genocide, which obviously they are denying. They're also international
- 19:22Speaker 1: rest warrants against Prime Minister net Yahoo and as former
- 19:26Speaker 1: Defense minister. They are in effect right now, and the
- 19:29Speaker 1: United Nations Highest Court is considering allegations of genocide that
- 19:33Speaker 1: have now been brought by South Africa. I wish I
- 19:36Speaker 1: was joking, I am not. Now Here's what we do know.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Hamas has been militarily decimated and has given up its
- 19:44Speaker 1: only bargaining chip with Israel by releasing the hostages, but
- 19:48Speaker 1: the Islamic militant group is still intact and could eventually
- 19:53Speaker 1: rebuild if there's an extended period of calm. Part of
- 19:55Speaker 1: the reason why they're probably agreeing to the cease fire.
- 19:58Speaker 1: It's something they've done history after they get hit hard.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Net Nahoo has also reiterated that Israel would continue with
- 20:07Speaker 1: its demilitarization of Hamas after the hostages are returned if
- 20:14Speaker 1: they do not agree to their terms. Quote. Hamas agreed
- 20:17Speaker 1: to the deal only when it felt the sword was
- 20:20Speaker 1: on its neck and is still on its neck, is
- 20:23Speaker 1: what Netnahu said Friday, as Israel began to pull back
- 20:26Speaker 1: its troops. Now much of Gaza has been reduced to rubble,
- 20:31Speaker 1: and rebuilding it is expected to literally take years. The
- 20:35Speaker 1: territory's roughly two million residents continue to struggle because while
- 20:40Speaker 1: they were in bed with Terrists who went after Israel
- 20:43Speaker 1: and the worst attack on the Jews since the Holocaust. Now,
- 20:47Speaker 1: let's talk about the deal for a second. Under the deal,
- 20:51Speaker 1: Israel agreed to reopen five border crossings. That is significant
- 20:57Speaker 1: because it will help ease the flood flow of food
- 21:00Speaker 1: and other supplies into Gaza, part of which they the
- 21:04Speaker 1: international community certainly those on the left and those that
- 21:07Speaker 1: support the Palestinians say are experiencing real famine. Trump is
- 21:12Speaker 1: also standing up with a US led civilian military coordination
- 21:16Speaker 1: center in Israel to help facilitate the flow of humanitarian
- 21:20Speaker 1: aid as well as logistical and security assistants into Gaza. Now,
- 21:25Speaker 1: there are roughly two hundred US troops. Let me say
- 21:28Speaker 1: that again. They are roughly two hundred US troops that
- 21:31Speaker 1: will help support and monitor the ceasefire deal as part
- 21:34Speaker 1: of a team that includes partner nations. We also know
- 21:38Speaker 1: that non governmental organizations in goos and private sector players
- 21:43Speaker 1: are involved as well. US troops will not be sent
- 21:47Speaker 1: to Gaza. That is what the US military commander for
- 21:51Speaker 1: the region said in a social media post on Saturday. Now,
- 21:54Speaker 1: the White House is signal that Trump is looking to
- 21:56Speaker 1: quickly return attention to building on a first effort known
- 22:01Speaker 1: as the Abraham Accords, which forge diplomatic and commercial ties
- 22:05Speaker 1: between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain and Morocco, a permanent
- 22:11Speaker 1: agreement in gods that would help pave the way for
- 22:13Speaker 1: Trump to begin talks with Saudi Arabia as well as Indonesia,
- 22:17Speaker 1: the most populous Muslim country towards normalizing ties with Israel.
- 22:22Speaker 1: This all according to senior Trump administration officials who decided
- 22:27Speaker 1: to brief reporters on this. Now, such a deal with
- 22:30Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia, the most powerful and wealthy Arab nation, has
- 22:34Speaker 1: the potential to also reshape the region and boost Israel's
- 22:37Speaker 1: standing in historic new ways. But brokering in agreement remains
- 22:42Speaker 1: a heavy lift, as the kingdoms said it won't officially
- 22:45Speaker 1: recognize Israel before a resolution to the Israeli Palace and
- 22:49Speaker 1: in conflict is reached. Now, I've told you a lot
- 22:53Speaker 1: about President Donald Trump, but let me also be bringing
- 22:56Speaker 1: you up to date. Let me say that word again.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Whot me now bring you up to date of what
- 23:02Speaker 1: Benjamin Netan Yahoo is saying. Net Yahoo, the Prime Minister
- 23:09Speaker 1: of Israel, addressed the nation of Israel Sunday night, this
- 23:14Speaker 1: on the eve of the return of the remaining hostages
- 23:16Speaker 1: to Israel, calling it quote an evening of tears and joy,
- 23:21Speaker 1: while warning that the threat to Israel's security is not over.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Net Yahoo spoke from Jerusalem. He opened with a direct
- 23:30Speaker 1: appeal to the Israelis, saying, quote, citizens of Israel, my
- 23:36Speaker 1: brothers and sisters, this is an emotional evening, an evening
- 23:40Speaker 1: of tears, an evening of joy, because tomorrow children will
- 23:44Speaker 1: return to their border. He casts a moment as one
- 23:49Speaker 1: of profound national meaning, calling it a moment that blends
- 23:53Speaker 1: sorrow over the release of murderers and joy over the
- 23:57Speaker 1: return of hostages. He stressed it while some did not
- 24:01Speaker 1: believe it would happen, are fighters believed, many among the
- 24:05Speaker 1: people believed, and I believed. The Israeli Prime Minister called
- 24:10Speaker 1: for unity despite political divisions, saying quote, I know there
- 24:15Speaker 1: are many disagreements among us, but on this day, and
- 24:19Speaker 1: I hope also in the period ahead, we have every
- 24:23Speaker 1: reason to put them aside, because through joint efforts, we
- 24:26Speaker 1: achieved enormous victories. Victories astonished the entire world, and I
- 24:32Speaker 1: want to say everywhere we fought, we won. He then
- 24:37Speaker 1: warned the Israeli people in the address to the nation
- 24:41Speaker 1: on Sunday evening that Israel's mission is unfinished, saying quote,
- 24:46Speaker 1: in the same breath, I must tell you the campaign
- 24:49Speaker 1: is not over. There are still very great security challenges
- 24:54Speaker 1: ahead of us. Some of our enemies are trying to
- 24:57Speaker 1: rebuild themselves to attack us again. And as we say,
- 25:03Speaker 1: we're on it Netnah, who also pointed to gains that
- 25:06Speaker 1: he said have opened new avenues. There are also great
- 25:10Speaker 1: opportunities that we have never known before, precisely because the
- 25:14Speaker 1: victories we brought. I am convinced that through joint efforts,
- 25:18Speaker 1: we will overcome the challenges and realize the opportunities. He
- 25:24Speaker 1: spoke of meetings with hostage families that shape his decision,
- 25:28Speaker 1: saying quote, during the war, my wife and I met
- 25:32Speaker 1: many times the families of the abductees. We saw their pain,
- 25:38Speaker 1: their yearning, their tears. These meetings were with me, and
- 25:42Speaker 1: every decision I made during the war, we embraced the families,
- 25:46Speaker 1: and I promise them I will not rest until I
- 25:49Speaker 1: bring your loved ones back. Netnah then saluted the country's
- 25:53Speaker 1: resilience among the troops and the public, saying quote, I
- 25:58Speaker 1: wish to thank the IDF soldiers and the commanders, the
- 26:02Speaker 1: security forces, the bereaved families who lost. What is most
- 26:06Speaker 1: dear to them are heroic wounded, who carry their pain
- 26:10Speaker 1: in body and soul. And I wish to thank you
- 26:14Speaker 1: citizens of Israel, you who stood strong day after day
- 26:19Speaker 1: with love for our country and faith in the justice
- 26:23Speaker 1: of our path. Closing his remarks. The Prime Minister also
- 26:27Speaker 1: looked ahead by saying this tomorrow is the beginning of
- 26:30Speaker 1: a new path, a path of building Netnyahu said, a
- 26:34Speaker 1: path of healing and hope, a path of uniting hearts. Together,
- 26:40Speaker 1: we will continue to strengthen our country. Together, we will
- 26:44Speaker 1: continue to win, and with God's help, together we will
- 26:48Speaker 1: ensure the eternity of Israel. Now, this address comes as
- 26:52Speaker 1: the iss Israel implements it ceasefire agreement with Hamas, and
- 26:58Speaker 1: as Israel prepares for the hostage handover, the culmination of
- 27:02Speaker 1: a dual track of military pressure and the diplomacy that
- 27:07Speaker 1: Detau had argued vindicated his approach over the years of war.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Earlier on Sunday as well, the IDF Chief of Staff
- 27:17Speaker 1: announced operation returning Home, saying the IDF had redeployed to
- 27:23Speaker 1: cease fire lines at full readiness and was prepared to
- 27:27Speaker 1: strike any enemy who dares to raise its head. He
- 27:31Speaker 1: also praised a generation of victory, honored nine hundred and
- 27:37Speaker 1: fifteen fallen soldiers, and said Israel remains engaged in a
- 27:41Speaker 1: multi front campaign with further challenges ahead. This all as
- 27:48Speaker 1: President Trump is on his way on his way to
- 27:52Speaker 1: address Monday morning, the people and this country and the world,
- 27:58Speaker 1: meeting with the hostage family, and then travel as well
- 28:02Speaker 1: for a Middle East peace ceremony on the hills of
- 28:05Speaker 1: the historic peace agreement he broke her between Israel and Hamas. Now,
- 28:09Speaker 1: as I said earlier, under the Trump Broker deal, Hamas
- 28:13Speaker 1: will release. This is what is being planned now, all
- 28:17Speaker 1: remaining hostages living and deceased, and that will be in
- 28:22Speaker 1: exchange for a large scale prisoner release as well. So
- 28:28Speaker 1: this is where we are, this is what we're looking at.
- 28:33Speaker 1: This is the reality of the situation. I also want
- 28:36Speaker 1: to be clear, this is going to be very tough
- 28:39Speaker 1: moving forward. Why because we know what the enemy is,
- 28:45Speaker 1: We know what the enemy believes in. We know that
- 28:48Speaker 1: Hamas and Iran and Hezbelah are ones that really never
- 28:53Speaker 1: want to stop killing. That is clearly why you've heard
- 28:58Speaker 1: the way the DT Nyahu and also so Donald Trump
- 29:00Speaker 1: have responded to this. They've made it incredibly clear that
- 29:04Speaker 1: they are not going to back down or allow for
- 29:08Speaker 1: their people to be hit in any way. Like we've
- 29:11Speaker 1: witnessed before. They are worried about another October seventh style attack.
- 29:17Speaker 1: They are worried that they are going to be people
- 29:19Speaker 1: that will try to take advantage of this ceasefire. That's
- 29:23Speaker 1: also the reason why they're saying we are going to
- 29:26Speaker 1: stay alert. So the big takeaway is this, will this happen?
- 29:33Speaker 1: I think there's a very good chance. Has Hamas been
- 29:36Speaker 1: decimated to the point where they need a ceasefire to reorganize?
- 29:41Speaker 1: That may be part of what they're actually thinking about
- 29:44Speaker 1: is truly reorganizing. Do they need the humanitarian aid to
- 29:49Speaker 1: come in? Probably so, even for their own families. Are
- 29:54Speaker 1: they isolated, underfunded, without weaponry and with a very small
- 29:59Speaker 1: fire force. That is what Hamas is dealing with. But
- 30:04Speaker 1: what Israeli is saying is we're not going to allow
- 30:06Speaker 1: for this to just be about them re arming or
- 30:09Speaker 1: training or reorganizing. That they said they're not going to
- 30:15Speaker 1: allow to be an issue. Don't forget Share this podcast
