- 2:21Speaker 1: any genre. I don't care what it is. If you're
- 2:24Speaker 1: trying to be successful, this message is for you. Let
- 2:28Speaker 1: me help you understand something real clear. You ain't gonna
- 2:32Speaker 1: make it the way you want to, and you're not
- 2:35Speaker 1: going to make it to the heights that's fully out
- 2:39Speaker 1: there and available for you without God. And I'm just
- 2:42Speaker 1: keep it real simple and clean for you today. You're
- 2:45Speaker 1: not going to make it the way you want to,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and you're not going to get to the heights that's
- 2:52Speaker 1: available to you. Without God, you have to get this
- 2:57Speaker 1: through your head. You can try if you want to,
- 3:00Speaker 1: because I did. I'm here to tell you I am
- 3:03Speaker 1: talking purely from experience. Here you can try it without God,
- 3:08Speaker 1: and you can see how far you can get. Will
- 3:11Speaker 1: you have some measures of success? Of course you will.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Will it feel like days like you might make it?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Of course you will. But let me ask you a question, though.
- 3:20Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days when you feel
- 3:22Speaker 1: like you ain't gonna make it. When you're gonna do
- 3:24Speaker 1: about them days where it feel like there are no
- 3:27Speaker 1: answers to your questions. What you're gonna do about them days?
- 3:29Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days when everybody laughing
- 3:32Speaker 1: that you can turn against you. What you're gonna do
- 3:34Speaker 1: about them days when you just don't see no way
- 3:37Speaker 1: through it? What you're gonna do about them days? I
- 3:40Speaker 1: got the sunshine? You know, sunshine cool? Everybody got friends.
- 3:43Speaker 1: When it's Sunday outside, you want some friends, hit the lotto,
- 3:47Speaker 1: you want to get rid of them friends, go ask
- 3:48Speaker 1: for some help. Man. I'm talking about man. They scattered
- 3:51Speaker 1: like roaches when lights come on. I'm trying to tell
- 3:53Speaker 1: you so now here we go again, and you can
- 3:57Speaker 1: do this without God now because I've done it, and
- 3:59Speaker 1: you can have yourself some measure success. Let me even
- 4:02Speaker 1: hip you to a little bit closer, though, Let me
- 4:05Speaker 1: tell you why you are doing it without God and
- 4:07Speaker 1: having some measure of success. Can I tell you why?
- 4:11Speaker 1: Because of God's grace and mercy to us, because of
- 4:14Speaker 1: his grace and mercy trying to keep us in spite
- 4:18Speaker 1: of ourself, for the real mission that He really got
- 4:21Speaker 1: for us. See that's the truth of the matter now
- 4:24Speaker 1: now what we're talking about, nasty. See. So yeah, yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you can do it without God, and you can have
- 4:28Speaker 1: some measure success without God. And yeah, you know, you know, yeah,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you got your little degree and everything. Yeah you completed
- 4:34Speaker 1: the program, got all that, YadA, YadA YadA. But don't
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know something. It's because of God's grace and mercy
- 4:41Speaker 1: that he helps us anyway when even when we ain't
- 4:44Speaker 1: asking for help, when he bails us out anyway, when
- 4:47Speaker 1: we don't even ask him to be bailed out. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: know why, because He loves us that much that he
- 4:51Speaker 1: would allow us to exist until we get our mind
- 4:54Speaker 1: together where he could take us a way, really trying
- 4:56Speaker 1: to take us let's get this real straight and clear today.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You can do this without God if you want to.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But I am telling you to get to where you
- 5:06Speaker 1: really want to be and to be all that God
- 5:09Speaker 1: has for you. You got to have God. There's no
- 5:13Speaker 1: ifs ands buts about it. And let me tell you
- 5:15Speaker 1: this here. I don't really care what nobody then told you.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Are you listening to me? I don't care what they say.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Don't get this thing twisted. They got these people out
- 5:27Speaker 1: here talking about they luminatis and all this here. Man,
- 5:29Speaker 1: don't listen to me. Don't get caught in this mess.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Don't get caught in no foolishness. You were created by God.
- 5:38Speaker 1: God created you, ain't your soul. We were all created
- 5:42Speaker 1: in His image, all of us. Don't get to talk
- 5:45Speaker 1: about you find to cut a deal with the devil
- 5:47Speaker 1: in all you ain't cutting no deal with nobody. Man.
- 5:49Speaker 1: The devil don't do deals. He one sided. I'm taking
- 5:53Speaker 1: you to hell. You going to hell. You're burning here,
- 5:56Speaker 1: that's his deal. I want your soul. I want you
- 5:59Speaker 1: to lose hope. I want you to take your life.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I want you to take some other people's lives. I
- 6:04Speaker 1: want you to feel hopeless. I want you to realize
- 6:06Speaker 1: that there ain't no God. That's his whole deal. His
- 6:09Speaker 1: whole deal is negative. Oh he can talk you into
- 6:12Speaker 1: dealing drugs if you want to. But let me tell
- 6:14Speaker 1: you something about this. I watch these shows all the time,
- 6:16Speaker 1: drug ink and all this here, cocaine mafia. Everybody own.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Now go to jail or get killed. Our prisoners has
- 6:24Speaker 1: filled the day with our young boys because they thought
- 6:27Speaker 1: they could outslick the system. They thought they had a way.
- 6:30Speaker 1: They thought, they said to them, been here, and they failed.
- 6:33Speaker 1: For the old cliche, man, I gotta do what I
- 6:35Speaker 1: gotta do, I gotta get this money. Well, the only
- 6:37Speaker 1: reason you gotta do what you gotta do is because,
- 6:39Speaker 1: like I say all the time, you didn't do what
- 6:41Speaker 1: you were supposed to do. It is but because of
- 6:43Speaker 1: His grace and mercy that we exist. And God has
- 6:47Speaker 1: just taken care of you, looking out for you. Got
- 6:50Speaker 1: some angels encamped around you until you get your mind
- 6:53Speaker 1: right so he can get you where you're going. But
- 6:55Speaker 1: now I want you to understand something. There's a cause
- 6:57Speaker 1: and a consequence and a penalty for everything we do.
- 7:00Speaker 1: This outside the will of God. That's for all of us,
- 7:04Speaker 1: all of us have consequences, penalties and everything that we
- 7:08Speaker 1: got to deal with outside of the will of God.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Understand that, clearly, don't get this thing twisted sideways. You
- 7:17Speaker 1: understand me. You know. I heard a young man tell
- 7:20Speaker 1: me one day. He said, uh, Steve, you know, man,
- 7:22Speaker 1: I just don't see how God looking out for me,
- 7:24Speaker 1: if he would allow all these things to happen to me.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I'm having such a hard time in my life. I
- 7:29Speaker 1: really don't see how there's a God looking out for me.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I live the young man, I said, the man, it's
- 7:35Speaker 1: just something. Man, you're still breathing. He said, yeah, I'm
- 7:38Speaker 1: standing here talking to you. I said, you're still free.
- 7:40Speaker 1: He said what you mean. I said, you ain't locked
- 7:42Speaker 1: up on You said no, I'm standing here talking to you.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I said, where you get them clothes from? I bought him?
- 7:47Speaker 1: I said, where you bought him with what I bought
- 7:49Speaker 1: him with? Money? So where you get the money from? Me?
- 7:51Speaker 1: So I got a job, mister, huh, I got a job.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I said, well, well where you live though, he's O
- 7:57Speaker 1: got apartment? I said, well where you get the part
- 8:00Speaker 1: it's the harve I'm working. I got an apartment. I
- 8:02Speaker 1: got a job, I was okay, okay, So now this
- 8:07Speaker 1: this God ain't looking out for you? Thinkin finish telling
- 8:09Speaker 1: me what you're telling me. Well, see, man, I'm having
- 8:12Speaker 1: it real hard right now. I said, hey, hey, man,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you are you hungry? You have you had lunch yet?
- 8:18Speaker 1: He sai, yeah, yeah, yeah, y'all already had lunch yet.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I said, okay, okay, So gone finish. Tell me about
- 8:23Speaker 1: this how God ain't looking out for you? He said, Oh.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And you know, man, every every time I try to
- 8:28Speaker 1: do something, it seemed like it go wrong for me.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I said, but let me the man something man, I said,
- 8:33Speaker 1: every time I go wrong for y'all say, somehow you
- 8:35Speaker 1: survive it. He said, yeah, yeah, I survive it some
- 8:39Speaker 1: kind of way. But it's still be all messed up
- 8:41Speaker 1: for me. I say, but but you still got through
- 8:43Speaker 1: it though, he said yeah. I said, okay, man, gone
- 8:45Speaker 1: finish telling me how God ain't looking out for you?
- 8:48Speaker 1: And he stopped. He said him it is harve. He said,
- 8:50Speaker 1: how come every time I tell you something that's going wrong,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you keep telling me God looking out for me? I said,
- 8:55Speaker 1: because you're still here, man, I said, See, you don't
- 8:57Speaker 1: understand it. I said, you seem to think that you're
- 9:00Speaker 1: supposed to just supposed to skate through life, that it's
- 9:03Speaker 1: all supposed to go how you want it, any kind
- 9:05Speaker 1: of way. I said, Man, Jesus, the test of your faith,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I say, God looking out for you the whole time.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I say, every time you tell me something going wrong,
- 9:12Speaker 1: you seem to turn around and tell me how you
- 9:14Speaker 1: survived it. You keep telling me what ain't going right,
- 9:17Speaker 1: but you keep telling me all these things you have.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I said, man, so what you gotta do is you
- 9:21Speaker 1: gotta stop looking at what you ain't got, column and
- 9:24Speaker 1: start focusing on what you do have. Column. But if
- 9:26Speaker 1: you ain't happy with nothing heating done for you, you
- 9:28Speaker 1: wanted to keep piling stuff on. I said, you fail
- 9:31Speaker 1: in the test, young man. The test is are you
- 9:34Speaker 1: grateful for where you are right now? So I could
- 9:36Speaker 1: give you more so we could move forward. He said, oh, man,
- 9:39Speaker 1: I never even looked at like that. I said, well,
- 9:41Speaker 1: why don't you take your blessed cell phone somewhere and
- 9:43Speaker 1: sit down? He said, I think I'm going over here
- 9:45Speaker 1: and let you finish talking. I said, thank you. So
- 9:47Speaker 1: sometimes you just got to look at what you do got, folks,
- 9:50Speaker 1: that's all it is. Okay, you can't make it without God, y'all.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You got me today. All right, let's be clear, let's go.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to ladies, gentlemen. Um. I think that's it
- 10:05Speaker 1: for today. That's all I'm talking to. Just ladies and
- 10:08Speaker 1: gentlemen for coming. Guys, Hey, thanks for coming, Love you

- 10:37Speaker 1: some women. Yeah, hey, man, is you gonna get that
- 10:41Speaker 1: chair from up there at the studio. Yes, I'm gonna
- 10:44Speaker 1: get that chair because they keep texting me about what
- 10:46Speaker 1: James gave me that chair. I don't put it in
- 10:48Speaker 1: the jake. Wait a minute, Wait a minute. My man
- 10:54Speaker 1: is not here. Team Thoma is not here. No one
- 10:57Speaker 1: told me he wasn't gonna be here. We can't work
- 11:00Speaker 1: like this when he's not here. I need to know. Okay, okay,
- 11:04Speaker 1: well okay, hold on, hold on, hold Tommy Hill. See no,
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm shot. I'm shot all right though right now? Yeah,
- 11:16Speaker 1: I don't doesn't sound like tell you right now you
- 11:18Speaker 1: can take off now, yes, cant just say this. This
- 11:23Speaker 1: is worse than Lukemia just right here. I'm just gonna
- 11:28Speaker 1: ask you, do you really have it? I don't think
- 11:32Speaker 1: you don't act like it. No, he doesn't. He said,
- 11:37Speaker 1: Tommy not here, that's worse than Tommy not being here.
- 11:42Speaker 1: This is worst. But see, man, here go the crazy
- 11:47Speaker 1: part though, that joke that j just told, which was
- 11:52Speaker 1: in great taste for the position that he's in. Yeah,
- 11:56Speaker 1: someone will tweet about how un it's offensive, defensive, aside,
- 12:03Speaker 1: unthoughtful of him because people, now, man, they are tripped.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I was watching the stuff you all told me about
- 12:11Speaker 1: Tyler Perry's post, and I didn't get it. I thought
- 12:16Speaker 1: what he said was a great teaching moment too. I
- 12:20Speaker 1: thought it was a perfect teaching I could not believe
- 12:23Speaker 1: how people took that, man, I commented, they ate me up,
- 12:25Speaker 1: I heard. I didn't read the comments, but I heard
- 12:28Speaker 1: they off and the other I agree with you, Steve,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I thought it was a great teaching moment, you know,
- 12:36Speaker 1: for for the young lady. The other problem with me
- 12:39Speaker 1: is when people see me, they say you don't look
- 12:42Speaker 1: like you sick. I don't know how I'm supposed you
- 12:47Speaker 1: you ought to costume Jake, you certainly don't act like it. Yeah, man,
- 12:55Speaker 1: but I just I just didn't think that that was
- 12:58Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I man, it's but what what
- 13:03Speaker 1: has really happened here is it's really my belief that
- 13:07Speaker 1: social media has opened it up. What you now are
- 13:11Speaker 1: privy to the opinions of everybody. And guess what, man,
- 13:18Speaker 1: there's some different people out there. There's some people out
- 13:23Speaker 1: there man ain't trying to grow, learn or no. All right,
- 13:30Speaker 1: we're gonna moved. Coming up next your favorite segment, Steve.

- 13:57Speaker 1: have been one right there, all right here, all right, Steve,
- 14:00Speaker 1: have you ever like, um, gotten an injury or something
- 14:03Speaker 1: like that and then you lied about how it actually
- 14:05Speaker 1: happened because it was just too embarrassing for you to
- 14:08Speaker 1: tell them, No, never have. I always knew most of them.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It was people with me when I got her, so
- 14:13Speaker 1: I couldn't lie. I always had people with me. Manbility people. Yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 1: well they weren't accountability, but they with my partner, they
- 14:24Speaker 1: ain't accountable for nothing. They wrote the jokes about you.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Follow All right, let's go all right. I know you're
- 14:35Speaker 1: a little older man, and I just know what what
- 14:39Speaker 1: is the noise? I can still with your ass? You cancer,
- 14:43Speaker 1: and I know I worked out with you. Yes, she
- 14:45Speaker 1: can't get okay if I'm just saying, what is the
- 14:48Speaker 1: noise that instantly irritates you? A noise? Yeah, instantly your
- 14:55Speaker 1: nerves irritates Danyell Monica's voice stunt right there? Hey Bobs,
- 15:14Speaker 1: lord what girls? All right? Come on, Carla, we'll see
- 15:21Speaker 1: when do you get very defensive about oh my wife, Yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 1: my mama, my kids got you and everything else? You
- 15:33Speaker 1: got anything in that arena? And I'm tight? Yeah, all told, Dick,
- 15:45Speaker 1: all right, thank you for keeping your answers sustinct. See,
- 15:48Speaker 1: we appreciate it. That way we can get more questions
- 15:51Speaker 1: in Jay Anthony Brown, you have a question, and this
- 15:55Speaker 1: this is a follow up of something you said a
- 15:57Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago. Um, everybody knows or maybe not know,
- 16:02Speaker 1: that I'm going through the kemya and when you deal
- 16:04Speaker 1: with it, you lose your hair. So what I'm asking
- 16:07Speaker 1: you as a friend, as a good friend, and we've
- 16:10Speaker 1: been doing each other question a good friend, I want
- 16:16Speaker 1: you to give me half of your much stask because
- 16:18Speaker 1: you got a lot of you Just shave one side
- 16:23Speaker 1: off and then stay to that side all the time
- 16:26Speaker 1: when you talk, and then I have another half. That's
- 16:29Speaker 1: what a friend would do. And I'll tell you what
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'll do. I'll give you my much clippings. I trim
- 16:39Speaker 1: it down once a week. I'm gonna give you the clippings.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna put them in a little napting and you're
- 16:45Speaker 1: gonna put them on your faith. Next question, all right,
- 16:50Speaker 1: what's your motto in life? Steve? What is your what's
- 16:53Speaker 1: the created code that you live by? Do what you
- 16:55Speaker 1: say you're gonna do. That's number one. Second, I shall
- 17:00Speaker 1: feel no man but God. Okay, all right, I like it.
- 17:03Speaker 1: My two creeds? All right? Come on, junior, Uh what
- 17:06Speaker 1: about you that would never change? Just something about you
- 17:09Speaker 1: that would never change? Uh, I probably just ain't gonna
- 17:13Speaker 1: be no podcast dude that no for real, dog, I'm
- 17:20Speaker 1: just not fitting be no little podcast dude that ain't
- 17:23Speaker 1: and nothing no se in no shape or form of it.

- 17:30Speaker 1: ain't got them doing, no se, no sell No, I
- 17:35Speaker 1: don't care what country I mean? No what this? You
- 17:39Speaker 1: know that the hood is available twenty folks. I don't
- 17:44Speaker 1: want to fight. I'm just saying I don't want to fight,
- 17:47Speaker 1: but the hood is available twenty folks. It doesn't get
- 17:51Speaker 1: any better or any different the older he gets, the
- 17:54Speaker 1: older stuck on it. Man, I don't even know how
- 17:59Speaker 1: to be no the way. Didn't you hear him say, hugo?
- 18:02Speaker 1: Who as being just for no reason? You know you
- 18:06Speaker 1: didn't here telling about you older? Now? So what that means?
- 18:12Speaker 1: The question? I ain't got the question question? Okay, Steve,
- 18:17Speaker 1: And let me point this out. I think this is
- 18:18Speaker 1: a good time to point this out. We are your friends,
- 18:22Speaker 1: we love you, we're your supporters. Okay, just a reminder,
- 18:26Speaker 1: just a reminder, Okay, all right, I got a question.
- 18:28Speaker 1: All right, come on crawling. What is the saddest song,
- 18:31Speaker 1: Steve You've ever heard. Girl. You know I I thought
- 18:39Speaker 1: that was gonna be no matter what you do. And
- 18:45Speaker 1: he sings it for you. Hope you understanding every word
- 18:52Speaker 1: I say. True, that's my jam man. That's the best,
- 18:57Speaker 1: the most emotionally saying love song in the world, the
- 19:02Speaker 1: best written love song of all time. And okay, thank
- 19:09Speaker 1: you Steve for that. Jay. You have another question. All
- 19:13Speaker 1: right now? For years I have been calling you zero
- 19:16Speaker 1: to sixty because you are zero to sixty boom without
- 19:20Speaker 1: a doubt, and out that boom. Is there is there
- 19:24Speaker 1: a little Steve inside of Steve that goes, Steve, chill out,
- 19:29Speaker 1: don't go there? Is there is there a Steve? Is
- 19:32Speaker 1: there a regulator? No? But no, not in me. But
- 19:38Speaker 1: my wife he doesn't have one. Yeah, you have my wife.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Sometimes my son will go dad, Dad, come on, put
- 19:51Speaker 1: myself Steve, Steven go dad, Dad, come on? Man. Well
- 19:59Speaker 1: he bet not say it though, say I'm getting on
- 20:04Speaker 1: his nerves. Yeah, I get on your nerves. You're gonna
- 20:08Speaker 1: get off my payroll. Always with the threats. Right, you
- 20:14Speaker 1: know what, uncle would be true? You consisted you as

- 22:05Speaker 1: What are you talking? What are you talking about? Being there?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Where you're at the the adult daycare? Adult daycare? Where?
- 22:15Speaker 1: Where's that? What are you talking? Okay? Evan? Is that
- 22:18Speaker 1: what you said? Your name is Evan, my name, My

- 22:29Speaker 1: the one that had you signed up. You're gonna be
- 22:31Speaker 1: at the adult daycare, so I'm assuming she's gonna be
- 22:33Speaker 1: dropping you off every morning, and I tell you talking
- 22:36Speaker 1: about Evan Evan, Hang on a second, all right, First
- 22:39Speaker 1: of all, I don't know who you are. You don't
- 22:41Speaker 1: know who I am. I don't know how the you
- 22:45Speaker 1: know who my daughter is? But this is this is
- 22:48Speaker 1: really uh inappropriate and weird and what are you trying
- 22:52Speaker 1: to get? What do you what do you want? Do
- 22:55Speaker 1: you want money to me? Or you like a solicitor? No? No, no, no, ma'am, no,
- 22:59Speaker 1: no no, not at all, Miss Sharon. No, your daughter
- 23:02Speaker 1: has signed you up to be here at the adult
- 23:06Speaker 1: daycare during the day, so I'm just going to I
- 23:10Speaker 1: don't know what you're talking about. There's no way she
- 23:12Speaker 1: would do that. I don't day here. What do I
- 23:14Speaker 1: need to don't day care for? So what? Well, evidently
- 23:17Speaker 1: are you home alone most of the time during the day.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Who cares if I'm home alone? Who? Why are you
- 23:23Speaker 1: asking me that you're trying to break into my house? No? No,
- 23:27Speaker 1: you are, man, Miss Sharon. Okay, look, I'm hooked up
- 23:34Speaker 1: to that uh nine one month stuff things like I
- 23:37Speaker 1: could just do a panicle right now and they'll trace
- 23:41Speaker 1: this call and then will come to you and arrest
- 23:43Speaker 1: you because you're harassing me. No, no, no, okay, miss Sharon,
- 23:49Speaker 1: I'm not harassing you. Your daughter, Diane came in and
- 23:53Speaker 1: signed up. Yes, she signed you up for you to
- 23:56Speaker 1: go to this daycare Monday to Friday while she's work,
- 24:00Speaker 1: So she's going to be dropping you off and then
- 24:03Speaker 1: she'll pick you up in the evenings on her way
- 24:04Speaker 1: home from work. I know where you got that from.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I don't know who told you that. Yeah, you got
- 24:10Speaker 1: my daughter's name, And this is really freaking me out,
- 24:13Speaker 1: you know, a little bit over here, Ivan, because I
- 24:15Speaker 1: don't know why you know my name, you know my
- 24:17Speaker 1: daughter's name. Ah, this is like the only reasons Miss
- 24:22Speaker 1: Sharon is because she came in and gave all the
- 24:25Speaker 1: information and she has paid for you to come to
- 24:28Speaker 1: the adult daycare on a daily by yeah yeah, yeah here. Hey,
- 24:32Speaker 1: you know what, you sound like a nice guy, you

- 24:36Speaker 1: nice voice, You're you're you know, like you know what
- 24:39Speaker 1: to say. I don't know who the hell you are though,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I don't know we're talking about. You know what I mean? Like,
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm not going to no daycare center. I'm not going
- 24:47Speaker 1: with daycare center. I wanted day because I'm fine. Just
- 24:51Speaker 1: get that through your head. There's nothing wrong with me.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I stay home, I got a dog, I walk the dog,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I go street shopping, my daughter comes over. Everything's sorry.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I don't get no date here center. Okay, Well, I
- 25:05Speaker 1: say what I'm saying that there is there is there
- 25:07Speaker 1: a reason why she would sign you up, ma'am. She
- 25:09Speaker 1: must think she must be looking out for your best.
- 25:13Speaker 1: You know your health. Let me ask you, Let me
- 25:15Speaker 1: ask you. Are you single? What are you single? Are
- 25:18Speaker 1: you married? But what does that have to do with anybody?
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm not coming to no date here center all right, Evan, Like,
- 25:24Speaker 1: if you want to come to my house and you
- 25:26Speaker 1: want to see how I live, you can. I'm switching.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I'm switching it up. Okay, I don't need to come
- 25:35Speaker 1: to your home. I'm more concerned about making sure you're
- 25:38Speaker 1: comfortable here at the adult day when you get here
- 25:41Speaker 1: on Monday. Yeah, I'm not coming there. That's it. I'm
- 25:44Speaker 1: not coming there because there's nothing wrong with me. I'm
- 25:46Speaker 1: not coming out of my house. But I'll say what Evan,
- 25:50Speaker 1: You I don't know, Like I like your voice. I
- 25:54Speaker 1: just like your voice. And miss way minute, mister, how
- 25:59Speaker 1: long do you how old? Um? Um, fifty fifty? Have
- 26:05Speaker 1: you ever been with an eighty nine year old lady? Wow? Wow? Nine?
- 26:11Speaker 1: And you sound really nice? That's like, at first I
- 26:15Speaker 1: was scared of you. At first, I want I'll be honest,
- 26:17Speaker 1: I was scared of you, and now I'm not. Like,
- 26:21Speaker 1: I don't know why. I'm just not you know what
- 26:23Speaker 1: I mean? Like you just sound nice. Yeah, I don't
- 26:28Speaker 1: know who you are, but okay, so wow, will you
- 26:33Speaker 1: be here? Will you be at the daycare center like you,
- 26:36Speaker 1: because I like to meet you. I'll be at the
- 26:40Speaker 1: daycare when you arrive on Monday. But I mean not, um,
- 26:46Speaker 1: miss Sharon, I won't be able to hold I like that,
- 26:50Speaker 1: Miss Sharon. That's nice. Oh, go ahead, go ahead, Okay,
- 26:54Speaker 1: So should I should I reach out to Diane about
- 26:58Speaker 1: this all to reach out to her? Sure, reach out
- 27:01Speaker 1: to her. Okay, Well you're not like, yeah, ahead, you're
- 27:06Speaker 1: not gonna come in Monday. I'm right, I'm I'm like,
- 27:10Speaker 1: I don't know, you're gonna be very just late. But
- 27:13Speaker 1: the sh it's not about me. It's about you coming
- 27:16Speaker 1: in and you're gonna this is where you're gonna be,
- 27:19Speaker 1: uh Monday through Friday from all. Right. You know, there's
- 27:23Speaker 1: there's there's there's other people your age here. There's there's
- 27:26Speaker 1: a lot of ladies. You're aging a lot of me
- 27:28Speaker 1: in your age here, ladies. I'm not in the ladies.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'm not in late. I didn't I'm not yeah, not
- 27:34Speaker 1: into it. I'm in I'm into you. Okay. Um, yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 1: I think it's a situation like your your daughter doesn't
- 27:42Speaker 1: want you to be by yourself. Wait, yeah, you could
- 27:47Speaker 1: I call you back can I call you back? Yeah,
- 27:50Speaker 1: let me call you back. Let me call you back
- 27:52Speaker 1: in a couple of minutes. I'm on the shore and
- 27:55Speaker 1: I got pulled my off of the thing. This is
- 27:59Speaker 1: the first. This is I happened to me. Okay, uh,
- 28:03Speaker 1: miss Sarah. Can I tell you who I am? I
- 28:07Speaker 1: am Matthew telling me from the Steve Arby Morning Show.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Your daughter Diane got me the plank. Call you. But
- 28:14Speaker 1: I promise you you're different. You're I promise you. I'm different.
- 28:20Speaker 1: I promise you. I'm different. Here related to Steve Hardy
- 28:25Speaker 1: like the guy on TV. Best go out of here.
- 28:29Speaker 1: He is gorgeous. Right all right, Okay, I love you.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Oh my god, come on, come on, I need it.
- 28:47Speaker 1: All right. Thank you Junior in for telling me. Coming
- 28:50Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour Entertainment news right
- 28:53Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Show. So in today's
- 29:03Speaker 1: trending sports entertainment news, the NBA has banned Golden State
- 29:08Speaker 1: Warriors part owner Mark Stevens for one year from attending
- 29:13Speaker 1: NBA games. Now. This comes after he pushed Toronto ballplayer
- 29:17Speaker 1: Kyle Lowry during Game three of the NBA Finals. Did
- 29:21Speaker 1: you guys see that this was too Steve. You said
- 29:25Speaker 1: you saw it, right, Yeah, I saw it, man. I
- 29:28Speaker 1: didn't understand why he did it. It was the most
- 29:31Speaker 1: pointless and I didn't know he was the owner until
- 29:34Speaker 1: you just said it. I thought he was just a
- 29:36Speaker 1: fan too at court side seats. That was just being
- 29:40Speaker 1: a butthole, Like I went, damn, but the brother he
- 29:44Speaker 1: played it, jess right, yeah. Yeah. So in addition to
- 29:48Speaker 1: the one year band Steve, Mark Stevens was also fined
- 29:52Speaker 1: five hundred thousand dollars half a million dollars for pushing
- 29:55Speaker 1: Lowry during the game after Lowry dove into the crowd
- 30:00Speaker 1: trying to save a loose ball. That's all he was
- 30:02Speaker 1: trying to do, right, Yeah. An NBA spokesperson said stevens
- 30:05Speaker 1: conduct has no place in our league. And here's the
- 30:09Speaker 1: full statement from the NBA. A team representative must be
- 30:12Speaker 1: held to the highest possible standard, and the conduct of
- 30:15Speaker 1: Golden State Warriors investor Mark Stevens last night was beyond
- 30:19Speaker 1: unacceptable and has no place in our league. As a
- 30:23Speaker 1: as the review of this matter continues, mister Stevens will
- 30:26Speaker 1: not be permitted to attend NBA games. Now good, yeah,
- 30:32Speaker 1: Now a year for us all through the next playoffs,
- 30:36Speaker 1: right right, Yeah, yeah, get some snacks at home, which
- 30:39Speaker 1: is the reason his little punk behind got a little
- 30:42Speaker 1: money together so he could walk around and say he
- 30:45Speaker 1: a part owner exactly, honestly think that he's a majority owner.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, find out who that is, Julian, you're a
- 30:54Speaker 1: scratch guy. Find out who the majority owner is. But
- 30:58Speaker 1: he was saying and delayed that was next to him.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I don't know if what she was trying to comment,
- 31:02Speaker 1: Oh no, he's okay, he's okay, said no, he pushed me. Yeah,
- 31:08Speaker 1: he pushed me. I didn't do what he playing the
- 31:13Speaker 1: game right, And Lebron got mad about it too. He
- 31:18Speaker 1: said there is no place in the NBA for that
- 31:20Speaker 1: type of contact to occur. He went on to say,
- 31:23Speaker 1: just think to yourself, and I love this what he said.
- 31:26Speaker 1: What if Kyle Laurie would have reacted and put his
- 31:29Speaker 1: hands back on him, you guys would be going crazy
- 31:34Speaker 1: calling for him to Darnier be put in jail, let
- 31:37Speaker 1: alone be suspended for the rest of the finals, all
- 31:39Speaker 1: because he was protecting himself. So that's a great point
- 31:43Speaker 1: Lebron made. Yeah, yeah, because you know if it was reverse,
- 31:46Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, Oh you can't even they'd be beyond CNN. Yeah,
- 31:52Speaker 1: he even for life, not a year, a lot in lifetime.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, like Lebron said, possibly jail, Yeah yeah, I
- 32:00Speaker 1: could have for sure. Hey uh yeah. Joseph la Cobb
- 32:06Speaker 1: is the owner. Him and Peter Gruber are the majority
- 32:09Speaker 1: on Mark Stevens is just an investor. Yeah, he'sn't even owned,
- 32:14Speaker 1: he's just an investor. Well you're gonna invest at the
- 32:16Speaker 1: house for you, Yeah, he gonna be an investor. Yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 1: what'd you say? Your hands like that? Yeah, that was
- 32:26Speaker 1: crazy and yeah, why would you do that? But it
- 32:29Speaker 1: was it was, it was it didn't make no sense.
- 32:34Speaker 1: And then in the face he made and all that.
- 32:36Speaker 1: You know, you know what, man, you're a little tough punk.
- 32:39Speaker 1: You did that because you knew you was in front
- 32:41Speaker 1: of fifteen thousand people. Yeah, you was two people over. Yeah,
- 32:48Speaker 1: so you had to reach your home yeah and push
- 32:50Speaker 1: and push it. So it was very deliberate. He knew
- 32:52Speaker 1: what he was doing. Ye. Yeah, you're listening. Well, guys,
- 32:59Speaker 1: today we have been Princess sixty first birthday, So I
- 33:03Speaker 1: gotta ask you, Steve. Yeah, yeah, sixty first, right, he's
- 33:06Speaker 1: been gone for what three years now? And today would
- 33:10Speaker 1: have been a sixty first. So I gotta ask you, Steve,
- 33:13Speaker 1: and I think I know the answer to this already.
- 33:15Speaker 1: But what's your favorite uh Prince song? And what's your Yeah?
- 33:20Speaker 1: I knew that. And have you seen him in concert? Yeah?
- 33:24Speaker 1: What was your favorite memory? Man? I got to sit up.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I seen him in Sheldon. That's a whole I did.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I went to concert, Yeah, I got. I went to concert.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I know. So tell us about your well, I'm gonna
- 33:40Speaker 1: tell you great one. This is the greatest press story
- 33:43Speaker 1: I got. I was backstage at the Apollo Theater that
- 33:47Speaker 1: was doing They were doing a tribute to Patti LaBelle.
- 33:50Speaker 1: So Mariah Carey was next. This is a really cool
- 33:54Speaker 1: moment with Mariah carry. So Mariah Carries about to go up.
- 33:58Speaker 1: There's a rumble at the back door to Apollo. I'm
- 34:01Speaker 1: standing in the hallway. I'm at the podium looking at
- 34:04Speaker 1: the monitors, very cramped back there. All of a sudden,
- 34:07Speaker 1: Prince walks in and everybody's backstage just, oh my god,
- 34:11Speaker 1: Prince is here. This is the Apollo Theater in hall
- 34:14Speaker 1: of man. He said, where's my man? He said, Steve,
- 34:19Speaker 1: what's happening? He said, I want to go and surprise Patty.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Now keep in mind Mrod carries next. So he said,
- 34:26Speaker 1: but I only got a few minutes, man, I just
- 34:28Speaker 1: want to do something. Man, what you think all the dude?
- 34:31Speaker 1: Because we had done a couple of things before. In
- 34:33Speaker 1: the path, Marid Carrey said, Oh my god, prins it's Prince,
- 34:39Speaker 1: Prince gonna go in front of me. Oh lord, I
- 34:41Speaker 1: don't know what to do. I don't know what to do.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Somebody go give me some old hal and and give
- 34:47Speaker 1: me some glitter. Get some more gl I need some glitter,
- 34:49Speaker 1: some old She was funny, man. And then I told Prince.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I said, Princess, what y'all to do? Man? Before I
- 34:57Speaker 1: bring out the next act, I'm gonna walk off stage.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I want you to walk out on the black stage.
- 35:03Speaker 1: He had on high heeled shoes, some yellow pants, but
- 35:08Speaker 1: he had a cane because his hip was hip was
- 35:10Speaker 1: going bad. He walked out in the middle of that
- 35:13Speaker 1: stage and the picture black people started. They just kind
- 35:17Speaker 1: of knew it was Himp. He wasn't scheduled to be
- 35:19Speaker 1: on the show. It was a surprise. But his silhouette
- 35:23Speaker 1: is so unique. The crowd's talking, Hey, now that press
- 35:26Speaker 1: the lights came up, he spun, popped his cane on
- 35:30Speaker 1: the ground, spun and caught it in the air. I said,
- 35:32Speaker 1: I'll be damned. That's why I love it. Steve. Oh wow,
- 35:43Speaker 1: all right, well listen uh coming up at thirty four
- 35:47Speaker 1: after the hour, more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 35:50Speaker 1: right after this You're listening show. So yesterday, t m
- 35:56Speaker 1: Z posted a story about TI's sister, Precious. Her full
- 36:02Speaker 1: name is Precious Harris Chapman. They reported the medical examiner's
- 36:06Speaker 1: official findings on the cause of her death. TMZ said
- 36:10Speaker 1: they were wrong to do it. TMZ posted Ti and
- 36:14Speaker 1: his family are hurt and furious, and they have a point.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Precious was a vital member in her community throughout her life.
- 36:21Speaker 1: She was a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
- 36:25Speaker 1: She meant her children and young women in need. Over
- 36:28Speaker 1: the years. She was an ambassador for Saving our Daughters.
- 36:31Speaker 1: She worked with Joseah Feed the Hungry, an organization that
- 36:34Speaker 1: feeds the homeless and hungry in Atlanta. Precious also worked
- 36:38Speaker 1: aside alongside her brother Ti in Atlanta for more than
- 36:41Speaker 1: ten years on humanitarian initiatives philanthropic initiatives. Precious was not
- 36:47Speaker 1: a major member of a TI show, but she would
- 36:51Speaker 1: come in on their reality show from time to time,
- 36:54Speaker 1: and she wasn't in the spotlight as a celebrity. TI
- 36:57Speaker 1: went on to say. TMZ went on to say that
- 37:01Speaker 1: we got this wrong and we regret posting the medical
- 37:05Speaker 1: examiner's findings. Wow, yeah, done, it's done. Yeah it's done. Yeah,
- 37:11Speaker 1: it's done. Yeah. When they posted the medical examiner's findings,
- 37:16Speaker 1: and I thought that was horrible bold, you know, man,
- 37:22Speaker 1: But you know, man, we were in a society where
- 37:24Speaker 1: people it's really too bad. Man, it's really really too
- 37:29Speaker 1: bad the way we treat each other now. I mean,
- 37:32Speaker 1: nobody cares about anybody anymore. It's a rush to get
- 37:36Speaker 1: eyeballs on the site. It's I'll do anything to collect
- 37:40Speaker 1: clicks and views so I could monetize it. That's what
- 37:44Speaker 1: the world and came down to. And it's a sad state, man,
- 37:48Speaker 1: because even in a family's grieving over the loss of somebody, man, man,
- 37:54Speaker 1: can we just be decent to them? Okay, I got
- 37:58Speaker 1: you ain't gonna be distant to the living. I'm not
- 38:00Speaker 1: even asking you too. I think we're beyond that. But
- 38:03Speaker 1: could we be at least decent to the deceased and
- 38:06Speaker 1: respect the family who's grieving. You know, could we do that? Man?
- 38:11Speaker 1: That's that's not that's not a big request. I got
- 38:15Speaker 1: you gonna dog to live and do it. I got it. Okay, cool,
- 38:20Speaker 1: But man, I'm just it's it's a it's a sad
- 38:25Speaker 1: state and world we're in today, man, And I don't
- 38:28Speaker 1: know if it's you know what, aside from the tr story,
- 38:34Speaker 1: you know, the thing that they call black Twitter, That
- 38:41Speaker 1: that right there is a really really disturbing thing at
- 38:45Speaker 1: times to me because you know, when you call it
- 38:48Speaker 1: black Twitter and you look at the amount of negativity
- 38:52Speaker 1: that's on it, I mean, it's just it's saddening. It
- 38:56Speaker 1: really is, because you would think, as a people who
- 38:59Speaker 1: have overcome so much and going through so much, that
- 39:03Speaker 1: we would cheer for each other, or that we would
- 39:05Speaker 1: show a lot more kindness and remorse towards one another
- 39:09Speaker 1: and sympathy. But no, no, man, that's that's that's really
- 39:14Speaker 1: that's really too bad, man, It's really really too bad.
- 39:18Speaker 1: And man, that's why prayer is essential. It's essential to
- 39:22Speaker 1: your life because if you don't get coded and protected
- 39:25Speaker 1: with prayer, you in some trouble part. Now you're in trouble.
- 39:31Speaker 1: There's a lot going on in this world, and the
- 39:35Speaker 1: social media folks commenting just saying what they want to say.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I mean, this story, like you said about TIA's sister, pressures,
- 39:42Speaker 1: it was only a story because of who her brother is, right,
- 39:46Speaker 1: and because her brother's that's the way they look at
- 39:49Speaker 1: if you connect, get somebody famous, they destroy you. You don't.
- 39:54Speaker 1: And that's TIA's family's point. She wasn't the celebrity. Tia
- 39:58Speaker 1: is the celebrity. Tiny, but don't care because they're always
- 40:01Speaker 1: looking right. See. But can this brother miss his sister though,
- 40:07Speaker 1: grieve his sister? Kenny? Can her children? Can her sisters
- 40:11Speaker 1: and brothers? Can her parents? Man? Can they just? And
- 40:14Speaker 1: it's still so soon, Steve, You're right, this has It
- 40:17Speaker 1: wasn't that long ago this she passed away so suddenly.
- 40:21Speaker 1: So he's still grieving, I'm sure right now. And the
- 40:23Speaker 1: family is so Yeah, they were out of line with
- 40:26Speaker 1: that one. I'm glad they took it down. I'm glad
- 40:28Speaker 1: they you know, saw in a way too late. Yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 1: but I'm at least they took they had sense enough
- 40:35Speaker 1: to take it down. I'm glad they did that. All
- 40:37Speaker 1: right up next, we're gonna switch gears here. Nephew's out today,
- 40:41Speaker 1: Junior's in though we have a prank phone call right
- 40:43Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show coming up at the
- 40:49Speaker 1: top of the hour, about four minutes after. It's my
- 40:52Speaker 1: Strawberry letter for today, subject Stephen k d get more
- 40:55Speaker 1: attention than I do right now, though Nephews out marinate
- 41:03Speaker 1: for a minute ago. Yeah, and like I was saying,
- 41:06Speaker 1: Nephews out today, but Junior is in with today's praying
- 41:09Speaker 1: phone call. What you got Junior? You know, you know, Shirley,
- 41:13Speaker 1: you know right now? This this right here, this is
- 41:18Speaker 1: something I thought of in my greatness. Uh. I just
- 41:21Speaker 1: want to let y'all know this hill, this hill is doctor.
- 41:26Speaker 1: This yeah. See see everybody need to go doctor, but
- 41:31Speaker 1: not like this. See this little different this here, doctor.
- 41:39Speaker 1: You won't tell me in that hell yeah, I won't
- 41:41Speaker 1: tell me just like it. Brody Cat. Hello, Hello, I'm
- 41:49Speaker 1: trying to reach a Roger Belton. Please he's not here.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Take a message. UM. My name is Mark Man. I'm
- 41:56Speaker 1: calling from the clubs at Robert Good Music down. Hold on, sorry,
- 42:00Speaker 1: say that again. Okay, can you hear me? I can
- 42:02Speaker 1: hear you. Now, I'm trying to rench Roger. He's not here. Okay,
- 42:06Speaker 1: I'm calling from from the clinic, from doctor Robert's office
- 42:10Speaker 1: and trying to get some information to him. Only do
- 42:13Speaker 1: you know when you actually be in? No? Actually I don't. Um,
- 42:17Speaker 1: is everything okay? Uh? Well you know everything's fine. I
- 42:20Speaker 1: mean nothing. I can't be handled. But um, we were
- 42:23Speaker 1: trying to actually get some information to him so that
- 42:26Speaker 1: he can actually come back him for the results. Okay,
- 42:29Speaker 1: Well I don't. I don't know when I can. He's
- 42:32Speaker 1: supposed to be here now, I'm not sure when I
- 42:35Speaker 1: can tell you he's going to be back. Okay, I'm
- 42:37Speaker 1: sorry I didn't ask you earlier. Man, who am I
- 42:39Speaker 1: actually speaking with? This is his girlfriend? Uh and your
- 42:43Speaker 1: name is Jan Jan? Okay, so uh, Jan, you don't
- 42:48Speaker 1: you say you don't know, you don't have an idea
- 42:49Speaker 1: when he'll be back. No, you, it's trying to make
- 42:52Speaker 1: me kind of give a little concerned though. No, no, no, wow, Okay,
- 42:57Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. This is the number that he
- 42:59Speaker 1: actually loved us give him a call on his results,
- 43:02Speaker 1: and we're not getting an answer. I don't have another
- 43:04Speaker 1: number on hand. Do you have any specific time I
- 43:07Speaker 1: can actually call back and maybe I'll get him again.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I'm you're making my stomach is getting nervous right now.
- 43:14Speaker 1: What is what is the problem? Well, actually you know
- 43:17Speaker 1: what it is, man is mister Rogers came in for
- 43:20Speaker 1: to take a few tests, and he took some tests
- 43:22Speaker 1: and we actually have the results in and we'd actually
- 43:25Speaker 1: really like for him to come back. I don't know
- 43:26Speaker 1: anything about I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you,
- 43:28Speaker 1: but I don't know anything about any tests. He hasn't
- 43:31Speaker 1: told me anything about going to a clinic or anything
- 43:33Speaker 1: like that. I see, So what kind of tests are
- 43:36Speaker 1: you talking about? Well, I mean, I'm not I'm really
- 43:39Speaker 1: not at liberty to give you any kind of information
- 43:40Speaker 1: unless you're actually on the paperwork. So I'm you know,
- 43:43Speaker 1: it's not even something that I can discuss unless the
- 43:45Speaker 1: patient has signed off that you are the next of
- 43:48Speaker 1: ken or the person that can we can actually give
- 43:50Speaker 1: the information to you. Do you I do, And I'm
- 43:54Speaker 1: pretty certain, I mean, the way we operate in this household,
- 43:58Speaker 1: I'm pretty certain that that I'm on the paperwork. So
- 44:01Speaker 1: would you please we pull up roger stuff on computer
- 44:05Speaker 1: here and I'll see what I give me one second,
- 44:06Speaker 1: please sure. Okay, okay, let's see now. Let me scroll
- 44:11Speaker 1: down for next to Ken. Okay, I got a Janis
- 44:15Speaker 1: That is me? I mean everybody called me jam, but
- 44:18Speaker 1: that's me Janie. Wow. Okay, tell me your name again.
- 44:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what's your name again? Mark? Mark? Like I said,
- 44:24Speaker 1: I'm the clerk here at doctor Robert office. I guess
- 44:27Speaker 1: I am at liberty to tell you what's going on?
- 44:29Speaker 1: Please do mister Roger came in and took some STD
- 44:34Speaker 1: test STD yes, and I guess at this point I
- 44:37Speaker 1: should just maybe both of you guys should come in
- 44:41Speaker 1: and wait a minute with everybody and everybody mind no, no, no, no,
- 44:45Speaker 1: no no no, I need you to finish what you
- 44:47Speaker 1: were just saying. Well, no, that's what I'm saying. Man.
- 44:49Speaker 1: What has happened is he's been diagnosed with as well
- 44:53Speaker 1: as you gotta be kidding me. You have got to
- 44:57Speaker 1: be kidding me. Okay, just I'm not hearing this. I
- 45:01Speaker 1: am not. Do you do you understand what that means?
- 45:05Speaker 1: Do you understand that he lives in my household? Do
- 45:07Speaker 1: you understand that that means that he has been dipping
- 45:10Speaker 1: somewhere else? Because I have been not doing anything that
- 45:14Speaker 1: would even come close to bringing something to him like that.
- 45:17Speaker 1: So it's how apparent that this man has been outside
- 45:20Speaker 1: of my household and do it when he has no
- 45:22Speaker 1: business doing it, and bring it back in. Man, I'm
- 45:25Speaker 1: not at liberty to make any accusations like that. I
- 45:27Speaker 1: cannot say anything like that. All I can say is
- 45:30Speaker 1: I'd like for both of you. You know, it'd be
- 45:31Speaker 1: good for both of you guys to come in and
- 45:33Speaker 1: then you because then we tell you about it. This
- 45:35Speaker 1: is something treatable, it is curable. I don't care about
- 45:39Speaker 1: it being treatable or curable. What I care about is
- 45:41Speaker 1: the fact that he apparently has been somewhere with some
- 45:45Speaker 1: trick and brought something back home to my household. That's
- 45:49Speaker 1: what I care about. I do understand that, mister Jannis.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I do, but you have to understand my position and
- 45:54Speaker 1: what I'm trying to do. I'm just trying to reaching
- 45:56Speaker 1: out and well, listen, you happen to call my household.
- 45:59Speaker 1: You just happened has to be on the end on
- 46:01Speaker 1: the other side of it. I am sorry, you're kidding
- 46:03Speaker 1: most of it, but I tell you what what you
- 46:05Speaker 1: need to do is you need to make him an
- 46:07Speaker 1: appointment and I will meet him there. He will be
- 46:10Speaker 1: wait wait, wait, wait when he wait wait a minute,
- 46:12Speaker 1: I'm sorry. You need to make him an appointment to
- 46:15Speaker 1: come out to take a look at these results you're
- 46:17Speaker 1: talking about and guests who will show up at the
- 46:19Speaker 1: door before he gets there. Me, that's I think next kid.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Wouldn't better for you just to tell him what's going on?
- 46:27Speaker 1: Since I'm now this is the plan. You need to
- 46:30Speaker 1: give him. You need to give him a call and
- 46:32Speaker 1: to give you a cell phone number. Okay, I got it. Okay,
- 46:39Speaker 1: you call him and set a twelve new an appointment.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Trust me when I tell you, when he walks through
- 46:44Speaker 1: that door and seize my face, he will know. Okay, okay,
- 46:47Speaker 1: miss miss, I'm not trying to create care to let
- 46:53Speaker 1: mister Roger know that we need him to come actually
- 46:56Speaker 1: into the building. Could give two about a call. All
- 46:59Speaker 1: I know is you make that appointment. I will get
- 47:02Speaker 1: there before he gets there and his own I'm telling
- 47:05Speaker 1: you that's how it's gonna roll. Do you understand me, miss,
- 47:09Speaker 1: Miss Miss Jarnars, I can't allow any chaos to be
- 47:12Speaker 1: going on in the building. I cannot allow that. Let me,
- 47:15Speaker 1: you're creative. Let me tell you something. I don't care.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I could care less about what you feel about it
- 47:20Speaker 1: and what you can and can't. All I'm telling you
- 47:24Speaker 1: is you call my what I call looking for. Mister Rogers,
- 47:29Speaker 1: you called his stud to be white. Correction correction stud
- 47:34Speaker 1: to not be white. Okay, I got one more thing
- 47:38Speaker 1: I do need to tell you, though, mister you know what.
- 47:40Speaker 1: I can't deal with another thing. I swear to God
- 47:42Speaker 1: don't tell me anything out, But I do have a
- 47:46Speaker 1: Just make your appointment. That's all I care about. You.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Make your appointment, make your point. But I need you
- 47:50Speaker 1: to ask for somebody when you come to the clinic.
- 47:52Speaker 1: I need you to ask for one person and then
- 47:54Speaker 1: they will take care of you. Who do I need
- 47:57Speaker 1: to ask for us? Okay, you need to ask for
- 47:59Speaker 1: nephew from the Steve Harvey Morning Show, because that's who
- 48:03Speaker 1: I am. You just got pranked by your husband, Roger.
- 48:08Speaker 1: You know what my commy, temmy Tommy. I listened to you,
- 48:15Speaker 1: everyone I know. Oh my goodness, I am so embarrassed.
- 48:20Speaker 1: And wait till I see right all right, Oh my gosh,
- 48:26Speaker 1: I am. I am over. I'm done. I can't believe you.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I got I got one more thing I got asked, Okay,
- 48:35Speaker 1: what is the baddest that I mean, the baddest radio
- 48:37Speaker 1: show in the land, the one I wake up to
- 48:40Speaker 1: every morning, The Steve Harby Morning Show. Can I just
- 48:48Speaker 1: say something? Say something? Come on, Ja, you're so good
- 48:51Speaker 1: at Timmy you should get two checks today because I
- 48:55Speaker 1: just showed y'all you nailed it. Everybody. What you're not
- 49:04Speaker 1: gonna do is being Timmy's booty and you say here
- 49:10Speaker 1: to wait, say that again. You're not gonna be in
- 49:13Speaker 1: Timmy's booty and then Tommy's replacement in booty too. What
- 49:22Speaker 1: what I love about time? Don't aboudy do pranks like Time?
- 49:26Speaker 1: I can't do it. I just imitate him best I can't.
- 49:29Speaker 1: But he drew himself way better not I just liked
- 49:32Speaker 1: when he come back huh, because he feel like we'll
- 49:36Speaker 1: give him enough credit on the pranky that he already do.
- 49:41Speaker 1: He's eat you the best. I like said, Oh, what
- 49:45Speaker 1: you gonna say? What you gonna say? Come on? He
- 49:48Speaker 1: was getting ready to say something. Come on, gret crazy,
- 49:51Speaker 1: I want thirty seconds. Come on, all right, thank you? Junior.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Coming up next is coming to Brian Sleep mar It
- 50:00Speaker 1: is a Strawberry Letter. Subject Steph and k D get
- 50:03Speaker 1: more attention than I do. We'll get into the Strawberry
- 50:06Speaker 1: Letter right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 50:09Speaker 1: Morning Show. Time now for today's Strawberry Letter. And if
- 50:13Speaker 1: you need advice on relationships, dating, sex, work, parenting and more.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey FM and
- 50:21Speaker 1: click submit Strawberry Letter. We could be reading your letter
- 50:24Speaker 1: live on the air, just like this one right here. Okay,
- 50:29Speaker 1: all right, lady gentlemen, it's that time. It's time for
- 50:31Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. Well, my friend Shirley straw Berry, Thank
- 50:34Speaker 1: you Junior. All right, Subject Stephen KD get more attention
- 50:39Speaker 1: than I do. Dear Stephen, Shirley, I've been seeing this
- 50:43Speaker 1: amazing guy for a few months. We would go out
- 50:46Speaker 1: three to four times a week, and I really like
- 50:48Speaker 1: spending time with him. I have no children, but he
- 50:51Speaker 1: has an eight year old son. Things were great between
- 50:54Speaker 1: us until the NBA season started. He is a big
- 50:59Speaker 1: basketball and whenever there's a game, we have to go
- 51:02Speaker 1: to a bar with a lot of TV so he
- 51:05Speaker 1: won't miss it. I was okay with that at first,
- 51:07Speaker 1: because I still got to spend time with him, but lately,
- 51:11Speaker 1: since school is out, he's been spending time with his
- 51:14Speaker 1: son and they enjoy watching the games together, so his
- 51:18Speaker 1: son comes along on our dates to watch the game too.
- 51:21Speaker 1: More than a few times we have made plans to
- 51:24Speaker 1: go out and ended up staying home because we didn't
- 51:28Speaker 1: leave before the game came on. He cannot miss a
- 51:31Speaker 1: second of it. I invited him to a work event
- 51:34Speaker 1: of mine one Friday evening, and he said he couldn't
- 51:37Speaker 1: go because it would not be over before the game
- 51:39Speaker 1: came on. I have even bought a ticket for myself
- 51:43Speaker 1: to a home game just so I could go and
- 51:46Speaker 1: be with him. I really hope this season ends soon,
- 51:49Speaker 1: because our relationship is on shaky ground. A couple of
- 51:52Speaker 1: nights ago, we made plans to see each other after
- 51:55Speaker 1: the game, but after his team lost, he said he
- 51:58Speaker 1: was not in the mood for company. I went over anyway,
- 52:01Speaker 1: and he was in a terrible mood and ended up
- 52:04Speaker 1: falling asleep on the couch. He is saying that it's
- 52:07Speaker 1: the NBA season that has him drained in acting crazy,
- 52:10Speaker 1: and I hope that's all it is. It doesn't seem
- 52:13Speaker 1: like he's seeing anyone else. What do you think Am
- 52:16Speaker 1: I really competing with Steph Curry and Kevin Durant for
- 52:19Speaker 1: my man or is there something else going on? Please help?
- 52:23Speaker 1: All right? I just don't understand why you would want
- 52:27Speaker 1: to be with a guy who doesn't put you first.
- 52:29Speaker 1: I mean, you say he's amazing. I don't think he's
- 52:31Speaker 1: that amazing. I mean I think he's quite childish, you know,
- 52:35Speaker 1: if he can't put you first, and you know, not
- 52:39Speaker 1: watch games and make dates with you, and it has
- 52:43Speaker 1: to be centered around the game. His life is centered
- 52:45Speaker 1: around basketball game. I think he's selfish, you know. I
- 52:51Speaker 1: definitely don't have a problem with him spending time with
- 52:53Speaker 1: his son. I mean, that's what he should do as
- 52:56Speaker 1: a father, and you should be encouraged that he is
- 52:58Speaker 1: in his son's life. I don't think if he makes
- 53:01Speaker 1: a date with you, he should break it or anything
- 53:04Speaker 1: like that. And I think if you guys are trying
- 53:07Speaker 1: to build something here, which it doesn't sound like you are,
- 53:10Speaker 1: he should, you know, spend time outside of the house
- 53:13Speaker 1: and outside of a sports bar, watching the game, go
- 53:16Speaker 1: to some of your the events that you've invited him to.
- 53:20Speaker 1: So it may not be another woman, but certainly you
- 53:24Speaker 1: take second to the NBA. And if he told you
- 53:27Speaker 1: not to come over there because he was in a
- 53:29Speaker 1: bad mood and you went anyway, and he's still in
- 53:32Speaker 1: a bad mood, what does that tell you? I mean,
- 53:34Speaker 1: you guys have only been together a few months. This
- 53:38Speaker 1: is not necessarily a relationship as you see as you
- 53:41Speaker 1: think it is. He's his girlfriend is the NBA, and
- 53:46Speaker 1: it looks like it's going to be that way for
- 53:48Speaker 1: a while because he's really really really tied up in
- 53:52Speaker 1: these games. And you know, I mean, you've done all
- 53:56Speaker 1: you can. You've gone to the games with him. You've
- 53:58Speaker 1: even bought a ticket, So that means that means that
- 54:02Speaker 1: he already had a ticket and he didn't invite you
- 54:05Speaker 1: to the game. So is anything you know clicking here?
- 54:10Speaker 1: He likes the game not you? Is he? What is
- 54:12Speaker 1: he betting on these games? What is he doing? So? Um,
- 54:16Speaker 1: you know, I don't think this is a guy. As
- 54:19Speaker 1: a matter of fact, I know this isn't the guy
- 54:20Speaker 1: for you because you're not first. The NBA is first,
- 54:23Speaker 1: and if he could date the NBA, that would be
- 54:26Speaker 1: I'm telling you, you would be out the picture altogether.
- 54:29Speaker 1: So you need to get another man because he's not
- 54:32Speaker 1: the one for you. Steve Wow, let me start at
- 54:36Speaker 1: the bottom of this letter. Am I really competing with
- 54:40Speaker 1: Steph Carey and KD for my man? Or is that
- 54:43Speaker 1: something else going on? That is nothing else going on?
- 54:51Speaker 1: Your man? Is what's called a die hard sports fan? Yeah,
- 54:58Speaker 1: and it happens to b that damn NBA. Now I
- 55:05Speaker 1: was trying to do a timeline. See this is how
- 55:09Speaker 1: I noticed is real? Now this is what month is this? June? Yeah,
- 55:17Speaker 1: I've been seeing this amazing guy for a few months.
- 55:20Speaker 1: We would go out three four times a week. I
- 55:22Speaker 1: didn't really spend time with him. So you've been knowing
- 55:25Speaker 1: him for a few months now, so I'm assuming you
- 55:28Speaker 1: may have made him. Let's save February March. Basketball season
- 55:32Speaker 1: is own, but this All Star game around February, so
- 55:35Speaker 1: it's half a season. He's a big basketball fan and
- 55:39Speaker 1: whenever there's a game, we have to go to the
- 55:41Speaker 1: ball with lots of TV, so he'll miss Okay, cool.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I was okay with Dan at first because you was
- 55:46Speaker 1: because you was trying to get in. I still got
- 55:50Speaker 1: to spend time with But lately, since school is out,
- 55:54Speaker 1: he's been spending time with his son, and they enjoy
- 55:57Speaker 1: watching the game together. So his son has coming along
- 56:00Speaker 1: on that day to watch game two. I don't know
- 56:02Speaker 1: how old his boy is, does it say? Yeah, he's
- 56:04Speaker 1: eight years old? Eight years old? Well, the boy just
- 56:06Speaker 1: want to be with his daddy. Was watching baseball and
- 56:09Speaker 1: eating chicken wayings, then cool watching basketball neating chicken ways.
- 56:14Speaker 1: More than a few times you've made plans and end
- 56:16Speaker 1: up staying home because he won't leave for the game.
- 56:18Speaker 1: And then one time you had an evented working, he
- 56:20Speaker 1: said he couldn't go to the event because it ain't
- 56:22Speaker 1: over when the game come on. It's not what Shirley says.
- 56:29Speaker 1: It's not that he's not putting you first. It's just
- 56:34Speaker 1: that he's a die hard basketball He is die hard
- 56:39Speaker 1: with them damn Warriors. And when I come back, I'll
- 56:42Speaker 1: tell you how big. All right, we'll have part two
- 56:46Speaker 1: of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after the hour.
- 56:52Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letters subject is Steph and KD get more
- 56:56Speaker 1: attention than I do. We'll get back into it right
- 57:00Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve, Let's
- 57:06Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letter. Subject Steph and KD. Get more
- 57:11Speaker 1: attention than I do. The woman was dating a man
- 57:15Speaker 1: who's a basketball fan. This is what this is. He
- 57:19Speaker 1: is a diehard basketball fan. They've been dating a few
- 57:23Speaker 1: months and he's always been this way because every time
- 57:26Speaker 1: y'all went somewhere there was a game on. Y'all had
- 57:28Speaker 1: to go to a ball with a lot of TVs.
- 57:30Speaker 1: You was knowing this, but you was trying to win
- 57:32Speaker 1: with him. Well, now you're in. You know, y'all didn't
- 57:34Speaker 1: had your little moments together. Now he is who he is.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Now you want something else, that's what's happening here. But
- 57:42Speaker 1: now school is out and he's spending time with his
- 57:45Speaker 1: son because school get out and made June something like that.
- 57:48Speaker 1: So now he's spending time with his son, which is cool,
- 57:53Speaker 1: and he's a great dad, so you can't knock that.
- 57:55Speaker 1: They enjoy watching the games together. So his son has
- 57:59Speaker 1: come on our dates to watch a game too. Well, okay,
- 58:03Speaker 1: he got his son. Now you know. The man had
- 58:05Speaker 1: a little boy for met you, so can't be nothing
- 58:07Speaker 1: wrong with that. But he came on dates two. But
- 58:11Speaker 1: more than a few times we made plans to go
- 58:13Speaker 1: out and ended up staying home because he didn't want
- 58:16Speaker 1: to leave for the game coming now that right there,
- 58:19Speaker 1: that's a lot, y'all can't go nowhere because damn game.
- 58:23Speaker 1: See let me tell you something, girlfriend is on TV.
- 58:26Speaker 1: The only thing worse is he could build basketball I
- 58:30Speaker 1: mean baseball fan because that season one hundred and eighty sixty.
- 58:35Speaker 1: At least this one is eighty so good, that's all.
- 58:42Speaker 1: Season is a long season, lady, so you in for it. Yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 1: I really hope this season in soon because our relationship
- 58:50Speaker 1: is on shaky ground too. Yeah, but you know it's
- 58:53Speaker 1: more to it than that though. Yeah, the season then
- 58:56Speaker 1: you got the playoffs in the finals and championship. Because
- 59:01Speaker 1: you're not the only one. I don't want you to
- 59:03Speaker 1: feel bad. Secret Golden State wanted this to be over
- 59:05Speaker 1: with two. He's not the only one because trust me,
- 59:10Speaker 1: they ain't really have it right now with the way
- 59:12Speaker 1: everything going. Yeah, but just hanging there because the waiting
- 59:19Speaker 1: boys in Toronto's is playing. You're gonna have him all
- 59:22Speaker 1: to yourself in a little while. Toronto's warm and that
- 59:28Speaker 1: by right now, yah man, you're just gonna hang on
- 59:35Speaker 1: in there a little lady, because he's about to turn
- 59:37Speaker 1: all back around for you. Now when he told you
- 59:40Speaker 1: he was. He wanted to go out, but then when
- 59:43Speaker 1: they lost, he was depressed, and you went over there. Anyway,
- 59:46Speaker 1: he's sitting on the couch. He really is depressed. See
- 59:49Speaker 1: I used to be that type of dude with when
- 59:51Speaker 1: the Browns lost. Oh man, I will go through it
- 59:55Speaker 1: and then I can't hold of myself. And when why
- 59:57Speaker 1: are you upset with these people losing need games when
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: clearly it's okay. Shaq said that basketball. He was up
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: at the station one day when we lose. We're getting
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: out fantoms and we drive to a man trying mansion.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: He's a die hard fan. I would not need this
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: man because he's a die hard fan. He takes care
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: of his son. He obviously spends time with you. But see,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: your problem is you You was going along when all
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: this sports bar going and everything. You saw what was
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: happening in the l one, but you just played it
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: all because you ain't had nobody, When now you got
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: somebody and you wanted somebody to change. And I don't
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: think he is well Steve. In the second line of
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: the letters, she says we would go out three to
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: four times a week. She really liked spending time with him.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Then She says things were great between us until the
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: NBA season started, So they were going out three to
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: four times a week without basketball. Then when basketball started,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: that's when things starts in October. Yeah, this is June. Yeah, right,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the problem started when the NBA season started. Well, like
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: what I'm saying, it's a great thing that she is
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: not a major league baseball man. Listen to me, it's
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: gonna be okay. You just got a man to love sports. Now,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: what you're gonna have to do is getting to make
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: a couple of compromises. Yes, Look, if we're gonna have
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: a relationship, you know you can't make every game. He's
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: not trying to hear that easy depressed. Well, I'm just
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: telling you. I'm just telling you. You know, we're gonna
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: have to do something, and he will do it if
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: he cares about you. All right, But you can't be
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: so demanded that you asked this man to give up
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: his love of the game, because he's not going to
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: do that. He says that the NBA season that's what
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: has him drained in acting crazy. Oh, he's saying that
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: it's the NBA season that has drained and crazy, And
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: I hope that's all it is. That really, probably, that's
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: all it is. Look at Drake, he's die hard. He's
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: die hard. Yes, but but we didn't we have we
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: seen Drake all season or just for the playoffs? Well, yeah,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I know it's because this is the first for Toronto. Yeah,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: would you deal with it? He ye? Well it's straight now.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: That changes the dynamic for sure. Drake sitting course, it's
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: different if you're in the raft, if he's at home.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: If Drake, you man, you got better seats, right, And
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: if he's at home on the couch, it's a fabulous,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: beautiful couch and a man shot. All right. Listen, you
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: can post yours, Yes, yes, you can post your thoughts
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: on Today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey f M. Or
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: you can check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Uh Now, coming up forty six after the hour, we're
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: going to read an email from yesterday Strawberry Letter, Steve,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: keeping it All in the family. We'll be back right
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to, Okay, Steve, here's an email
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: from yesterday's Strawberry Letter. Remember this when keeping it All
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: in the family. Dear mister Harvey, let me first say
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I am one of your biggest fans and biggest is
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: in all cats. Okay, okay, here come to hate listen No, no,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: hate it all. I listen to your show. I watch
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: you on TV and online every day. Now that's a
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: big fan right there. And you're gonna love this line.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I think you and your wife are so fly. Anyway,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: I am writing in regards to the Strawberry letter that
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: aired about a young woman who has two children by
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: her sister's husband. Let me first say I agree with
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: all of you that sister is just straight trifling and
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: by no means as her behavior excusable. Yes, yes, she
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: was beyond she she I mean really. However, as a
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: thirty four year old woman living in LA dating isn't easy.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Living here long enough, you're bound to find out that
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: a decent guy has either dated someone you know or
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: someone you know of. So my question to you and
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: the crew is, at what point is a guy who's
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: dated someone you know no longer off limits? Great question, Well,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: this all depends on this way, you hear, Carla, This
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: all depends on your relationship with the girl. And you
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: know right, that's right, that's I believe that that's really
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: a major part of it because if the girl you
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: know are supposed to be friends, then if you start
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: dating somebody she had first thing she gonna do. Well, well,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: how long you've been looking upside? He's here. Maybe you
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: the reason we couldn't really get the way we needed
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: to be. Maybe you was a distraction. Then that's the
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: first thing I think that going to say. But I
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: just know that it's it's a very uncool practice to make.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: But it does all depend Now if you just know
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: this girl. I give you an example. Let's say you
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: just know the girl. She works in another department. You've
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: passed and spoke to her something like that. That's different,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: right if you know Shirley and Carla and Monica can't
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: do that, No, sir. And it's the thing called girl code.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: It's that unspoken girl code thing that we don't do
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: that as women. See I don't know, Well, I mean
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: you have it, yeah, because you're not a girl and
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: and and you're and guys don't do it. You guys
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: don't date each other and don't do it. Yeah, breaking
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: up with somebody and I hate her all my friends
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: supposed to hate her. But Jake, that date that they're saying, well,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: that's start hating all my friends. Got to hate our ass,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: all right. This this this letter was signed from Bonnie
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: looking for her Clyde by the way, and coming up
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Steve is going to
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: tell you about the season premiere of What Family Feud
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Celebrity Edition that's right right after this you're listening to
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: the stew all right, So Steve, are you excited? This
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Sunday is the season premiere of Celebrity Family Feud on ABC.

- 1:08:00Speaker 1: didn't do what he told her how to do it.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's crazy, Steve. Do you remember that? Yeah?
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Doing it? Now? Who can you do it? I'm you
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: ain't man. If I could do that, I do that
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: all day long without a shirt on. You know what
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: that's told me where men hate Terry Crews So we
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: can't do that. Can make a text jump, Yeah, he's
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: a nice guy. When I got bad from Award, So, Steve,

- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I know, Steve, if I wanted to ask you, do
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: you miss your beer? It? Sometimes? But not really? Okay,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: I've had the mustash so long. Sometimes I miss it
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: because I liked the y'all, the freedom not having the shade,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: But you had to keep it lined up pretty good, yea.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: And you gotta keep it trim down for me for
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: it to luke right, But I even miss that mustache
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: when I get the other half that probably don't miss
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: that mustache. Yeah, you said it. You said it, man.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: You said he would give me half of the mustad.

- 1:09:47Speaker 1: maybe we're in as close as you thought. Cho Oh, Steve,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I know you'll help. I'm not even worried about Steve
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: so giving. I know and he and he cares. If

- 1:10:10Speaker 1: gonna call you, he may not talk to Yeah, he's
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: gonna call you, but he ain't gonna talk. Send you flowers,

- 1:10:41Speaker 1: be a pastor. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna be.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: But it was the greatest laugh I had in the hospital.

- 1:11:08Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. As Democrats debated
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: in a meeting on Tuesday night whether they should start
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump, how Speaker Nancy Pelosi told
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Democratic leaders she'd like to see Trump in prison. For
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi tay yes one eight for her went from letsie,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: yeah they had two words, from playing the dozens with
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: each other. Man, they really are man. Yeah. It happened
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: as House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler pushed Pelosi to greenlight
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: his committee to start an impeachment inquiry against the president.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi wouldn't change her mind and responded to Atler's
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: request by saying, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I don't want to see him impeached. I want to
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: see him in prison. Yeah, come on, Nancy, bam. This
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: is a boss right now. You remember Carlin. Let's just
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: see let's wait, yeah, let's take it. Let's take it
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: slows in a day. Yeah, Well, she's looking through history history,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: what happened with Nixon and what happened with Clinton, Clinton
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: especially he became more popular and one another term. So
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I think she's playing it. Yeah, she knows what she's doing.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: She's a politician, for sure, way smarter than Trump. That's
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: for damn Shell. It's too much, it is, you know.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I was actually like, surely I was going to take
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: three moths off and listening to the news. Uh huh, yeah,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: just give myself a break from it. Everybody lies so much. Yeah,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: you need a break, all right. More of the Steve

- 1:13:50Speaker 1: at the Apollo Theater that was doing they were doing
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: a tribute to Patti LaBelle. So Mariah Carey was next.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: This is a really cool moment with Mariah carry. So
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Maria Carries about to go up. There's a rumble at
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: the back door to Apollo. I'm standing in the hallway.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: I'm at the podium looking at the monitors, very cramped
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: back there. All of a sudden, Prince walks in and
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: everybody's backstage just oh my god, Prince is here. Thist
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Apolo thid in hall of man. He said, where's my man?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: He said, Steve, what's happening? He said, I want to
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: go and surprise Patty. Now keep in mind Mrad carries next.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: So he said, but I only got a few minutes. Man,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: I just want to do something. Man, what you think
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: all the dude? Because we had done a couple of
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: things before. In the path, Marid Carrey said, oh my god, Priss,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: it's Prince. Prince gonna go in front of me. Oh lord,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. I don't know what
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: to do. Somebody go give me some old hall and
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: give me some glitter. Get some more. I need some glitter,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: some old She was funny, man. And then I told Prince.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: I said, Princess, what y'all to do? Man? Before I
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: bring out the next act, I'm gonna walk off stage.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: I want you to walk out on the black stage.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: He had on high heeled shoes, some yellow pants, but
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: he had a cane because it was hip was going bad.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: He walked out in the middle of that stage and
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: the pitch black people started. They just kind of knew
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: it was himp. He wasn't scheduled to be on the show.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: It was a surprise. But his silhouette is so unique.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: The crowd's talking, Hey know that, Prince. The lights came up,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: he spun poptist cane on the ground, spun and caught
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: it in the air. I said, I'll be damned. That's
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: why I love it. Steve Again, Happy birthday to one
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: of the greatest artists who ever lived. Prince would have
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: been sixty one today. All right, we'll be back with
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: our final break up the day and of the week,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: and some closing remarks from our fearless leader, the one
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: in them least, Steve Harvey. Right after to this forty
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: nine after the hour. You're listening to the Steven Show.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: All right, here we are, last break of the day,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: last break of the week, and then we'll get ready
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: to hear some closing remarks from Steve. But first, Jay,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: you have a birthday shot up. Happy belated birthday to
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: my one and only son, Terrell, the one that I
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: know about none and come up lately so far, so
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: we'll go with him. Wow, I love you. Nobody has
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: taking me to court. So happy birthday, son, Happy birthday
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: that you are the father Jay, you are the great love.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: All right, Charlotte, you got something going on this weekend
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: in Atlanta community service giving back to domestic violence survivors.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: What you got going on, dear? Yeah, Well, I'm gonna
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: be this, Thank you, carl I'm gonna be the special
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: guest at the tenth anniversary of the Alma G. Davis Foundation.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: As I've mentioned before, I'm on the board of this
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: fabulous foundation. Every year, Alma gives a dinner for divas.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: These are survivors of domestic violence and she honors the
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: survivors of domestic violence with a beautiful dinner just for them,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: treating them special for this one night. And it's beautiful.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: It's going to be this Saturday at the Georgia Aquarium
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: in Atlanta. If you need some more information about yeah,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: about the Alma Gi it is, it's so beautiful there.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: For more information, you can go to the Alma G.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Davis Foundation dot org slash events and please join us
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: and get involved, you know, Like I said yesterday, it's
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: not a pretty subject, it's not a sexy subject, but
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: it is a very important subject. Domestic violence is the
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: leading cause of injury to women between the ages of
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: fifteen and forty four in the US, more than car accidents,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: more than rapes muggings combined. So again, you can go
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: for more information to the Alma G. Davis Foundation dot org.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: And I'll see you Saturday in Atlanta. Right, all right,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: thank you. What closing remarks are going to be rather
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: brief today. I just want to encourage people. I want
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: to talk to you for a second about adversity, and
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: adversity is really a part of life everybody. Adversity is
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: part of everybody's life in existence. There isn't a person
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: that doesn't face isn't face with adversity on a regular basis.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: It happens on a regular basis. But there's different levels
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: to adversity. There's a low level, high level, intense level,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: doable level, unthinkable levels. There's all types of levels of
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: adversity just depends on the person that it's being set on. Now,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: when you have adversity, I just want to talk to
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: you about how you handle it, because what I see
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: happen too many times, is that in the face of adversity,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: people lose faith. To lose faith is to lose hope.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: To lose hope is the beginning of the end. Faith
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: is the substance of things hoped for. That's what the
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: scripture says. Faith is the substance of things hope for.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: So my interpretation of that, and I could be wrong.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: You could ask ministers. They probably do a better job
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: of this. Just what I always thought that meant was
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: that faith is a substance of things hope for, and
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: you end up hoping hard enough, and if you hope
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: hard enough, it turns into faith. So when you hear
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: people say keep hope alive, men, when Jesse Jackson gave
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: me that big speech, just keep hope alive, that's what
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: he was saying, because hope is the essence of faith.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: But what happens is people are losing faith in the
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: faith of adversity. And you've got to be careful because
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: adversity is set upon you. To teach you lessons is
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: to grow you, to strengthen you. It's to warn you,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: is to give your heads up. It's to make your
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: game tighter. Adversity is not to stop you. Adversity is.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: You should look at it as ways of teaching yourself something.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Adversity strengthened you. It makes you become more experienced. So
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: adversity is not a bad thing. You just gotta quit
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: looking at it. Oh my god, I'm so sick of
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: stuff happening to me. This is called life. Life is
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: gonna keep coming whether you want it to or not.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: It's just life. Man, don't get upset because you haven't
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: setbacks and challenges, you know, give a relationship with God
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: and facing with a smile on your face and going
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: about your business. Because man, you gotta remember, like I've
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: been saying a lot lately, that the devil's job is
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: to rob you of your destiny. So what I'm saying
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: to you is you cannot You cannot let this devil
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: start making you lose hope or lose faith, or take
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: these moments of adversity and make them into monumenters, unaccomplishable things,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: because they are You can get past anything. As a
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: matter of fact, God, don't put more on you than
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: you can bear, as tough as it may seem at times,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: as unbearable as it is. If you think of all
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: the rough days you've ever had in the past. Let
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: me share this with you again, all the rough days
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: you've had in your past, your track record for surviving
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: rough days, it's one hun You've gotten through them, and
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: you'll get through the new ones. Adversity gives you strength,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: It teaches you lessons, It makes you experience. Stop losing
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: faith in the face of adversity. See y'all next week. Yeah, man,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: you know something. Yeah, that's when you ali your faith
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: in adverse. Everybody, thank you so right, that's greatness. Hey,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: j Yeah, man, you gotta pray for some meals other
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: pray that your faith gets stronger. Jay, you know how
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: do people be helping people with cancer? They cut all
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: their hair off and send it to him. Let's get
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: somebody that's been using it for half and just pick
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: up some of it off the pone and get yourself
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: a mushtad. You just need a little sandwich. Man. Oh man,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: myer is blue. Now that won't count. Huh, rock a
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: blue mustad. That's stupid. Hell, we all keep it pimping. Hey,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: have a great weekend. That sounds about right for all.
