- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing it uhbout it? Y'are listening to
- 2:04Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now what it only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. I was talking with
- 2:11Speaker 1: my wife and she said something her father always used
- 2:14Speaker 1: to tell her. Uh Pop Bridges used to tell all
- 2:17Speaker 1: the time, just because you can do something don't mean
- 2:21Speaker 1: you should do it. You know, I can't tell you
- 2:24Speaker 1: how many times I've had to learn that in my life.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You know, just because you can do something does not
- 2:30Speaker 1: necessarily mean you should do it. You know, I could
- 2:34Speaker 1: tell people off oftentimes, but it don't mean I should
- 2:39Speaker 1: do it. You know, I could go here and set
- 2:42Speaker 1: the record straight a lot of times, but it don't
- 2:45Speaker 1: mean I should do it. Well, I've learned a lot
- 2:48Speaker 1: in that lesson folks, and because I have a relationship
- 2:54Speaker 1: with my creator. What it's done is it's allowed me,
- 2:59Speaker 1: uh to learn even more how to stay still on
- 3:03Speaker 1: a lot of issues that's troubling me. It's taught me
- 3:06Speaker 1: over the years. I've learned it the hard way. I
- 3:09Speaker 1: do want you to understand that that sometimes it's better
- 3:12Speaker 1: to be still. Sometimes it's better to just let God
- 3:15Speaker 1: handle a situation. That's hard to say, and I know
- 3:19Speaker 1: it's hard to say because we think as people. But
- 3:22Speaker 1: if I do this, I would feel better. If I
- 3:25Speaker 1: do this, they would know it's coming from me. If
- 3:29Speaker 1: I do this, now there feel how I feel. See.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But that's not always the best way though, I found
- 3:35Speaker 1: in my life. See, sometimes you gotta like old people
- 3:39Speaker 1: used to say, you gotta let go and let God.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta do that. I'm gonna tell you something, man,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I learned a lot from my mother being a Sunday
- 3:46Speaker 1: school teacher. But you know, at the same time, when
- 3:48Speaker 1: she was when I was young, I thought she was
- 3:50Speaker 1: just an old, old person just talking to me. I
- 3:52Speaker 1: didn't get it. You know how you talk to you
- 3:54Speaker 1: know how your parents used to talk to you and
- 3:56Speaker 1: you didn't get it. And they used to always say,
- 3:58Speaker 1: well wait till you have your own kids, you get
- 4:00Speaker 1: it then, and showing off you got it then, Well
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'm the same way. I'm no different you know. I
- 4:04Speaker 1: don't have no different life than you. You know I
- 4:06Speaker 1: have no different upbringing in you. I don't have no
- 4:08Speaker 1: different different ways that I can live and you can't.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You know that I gotta live by the same laws
- 4:15Speaker 1: of the land that you gotta live by. I gotta
- 4:17Speaker 1: obey the principles of success. If I want to be successful,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I got a bam and you know, and if I
- 4:21Speaker 1: want to go to heaven, I got I gotta do
- 4:23Speaker 1: what God tell me to do as many times as
- 4:25Speaker 1: I can. Now, you ain't gonna get it all right,
- 4:27Speaker 1: but he understand that, and I just get on with
- 4:30Speaker 1: the best I can. But so many times, man, we
- 4:34Speaker 1: get stuck. We get stuck right there man, worrying about
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know, how how it's gonna come across and and
- 4:42Speaker 1: what you know, I'm kind of going around here because
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm trying to find a way to tell you this
- 4:48Speaker 1: that that that you won't get twisted. Hit the bottom line,
- 4:52Speaker 1: you gotta let go and let God you have to
- 4:55Speaker 1: allow him to do it his way. See my way,
- 4:59Speaker 1: I thought myself to a certain point. But to go further,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I had to let God have it. You know. I
- 5:05Speaker 1: found out I wasn't all that good a driver. I
- 5:07Speaker 1: found out I wouldn't all that good of all explore
- 5:11Speaker 1: with a map. I found out my comper skills was
- 5:14Speaker 1: oftentimes a little bit off. I found out that my
- 5:17Speaker 1: map reading skills wasn't what I thought it was. So
- 5:21Speaker 1: I had to let go. I had to let God.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And you gotta understand that God works in mysterious ways,
- 5:26Speaker 1: you know. And right how often had I thought it
- 5:29Speaker 1: was over for me? But what God was doing was
- 5:33Speaker 1: he was teaching me a lesson. He was showing me
- 5:35Speaker 1: something that I needed to know. He was allowing me
- 5:38Speaker 1: to experience some things. But he didn't let me go under.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You know how they say, God and never put more
- 5:43Speaker 1: on you than you can bail. He won't let you
- 5:45Speaker 1: go under. And but he did not say. You know,
- 5:49Speaker 1: it's like the scripture that Bishop Olmer taught me when
- 5:51Speaker 1: I was going through that traumatic thing on the internet.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Manner was really really mad, trying to destroy what I
- 5:57Speaker 1: had worked for and my family, and it just knew
- 5:59Speaker 1: life to God had presented me. And the devil is busy.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Devil don't like to see you happy. So here he comes.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He puts you under attack, and here comes internet and everything,
- 6:08Speaker 1: and my kids are suffering. But you know, here here
- 6:10Speaker 1: comes God. Thought. See, God, don't put more on you
- 6:13Speaker 1: than than you can. Bad bishop almost sent me a scripture.
- 6:17Speaker 1: He sent me Isaiah forty three one and two. And
- 6:20Speaker 1: then that scripture it says to the effect that you
- 6:23Speaker 1: can walk through the water the rivers, and the water
- 6:27Speaker 1: won't overcome you. But then it said you can walk
- 6:30Speaker 1: through the fire and you will not get burned, nor
- 6:34Speaker 1: will kindling set upon your clothing. I learned something very
- 6:39Speaker 1: valuable that day. See God sent me through something, but
- 6:43Speaker 1: he was showing me something too. Now he didn't do it. See,
- 6:47Speaker 1: God didn't bring that calamity into my life, because in
- 6:50Speaker 1: Isaiah fifty four seventeen it says clearly that if anyone
- 6:54Speaker 1: comes against you, it will not be my doing. But
- 6:58Speaker 1: he now, this is what he promised you when people
- 7:00Speaker 1: come for you, though, see, and this is what I learned.
- 7:03Speaker 1: That's why I have no fear of the people coming anymore. See,
- 7:06Speaker 1: because I learned that, but God had to send me
- 7:09Speaker 1: through a traumatic experience in order for me to learn that. See,
- 7:12Speaker 1: you can't have a testimony without a test you know, understand,
- 7:16Speaker 1: you can't learn nothing without a lesson. See. So what
- 7:19Speaker 1: he did was he allowed that internet thing comes cross
- 7:22Speaker 1: into my life. But he taught me something. And Isaiah
- 7:25Speaker 1: forty three one and two was and you can walk
- 7:27Speaker 1: through the fire and not get burned, normal kindling set
- 7:30Speaker 1: upon your clothing. So what that said to me was,
- 7:33Speaker 1: even though you're trying to do me and it's fire
- 7:36Speaker 1: all around me, I won't burn. But when it's over,
- 7:40Speaker 1: kindling won't set upon your clothing. What that showed me
- 7:43Speaker 1: was and what it taught me was not only would
- 7:45Speaker 1: I walk through the fire and not get burned, but
- 7:47Speaker 1: there will be no signs that I was ever in
- 7:50Speaker 1: the fire. There's no signs of it. But now hold up, though,
- 7:54Speaker 1: now he go to part though that I had to
- 7:56Speaker 1: learn even though you can walk through the fire, y'all,
- 7:59Speaker 1: and even you're being flames and scorching all around you,
- 8:02Speaker 1: if you trust him, he ain't gonna let you burn.
- 8:04Speaker 1: But now hear what he did not say. Though he
- 8:07Speaker 1: did not say that it was not going to be
- 8:11Speaker 1: uncomfortably hot, wickedly hot in there. He didn't say that.
- 8:16Speaker 1: He just said you won't burn. And when it's over,
- 8:19Speaker 1: it won't be no killing on your cause it won't
- 8:21Speaker 1: be no signs that you was in the fire. See
- 8:23Speaker 1: what happened to me was after they tried to destroy me.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Let me show you what God did from it. Not
- 8:28Speaker 1: only did I not, not only did they not accomplish
- 8:31Speaker 1: what they set out to do, but when they was
- 8:33Speaker 1: through with me though, when they was through throwing the
- 8:36Speaker 1: gas and throwing the fine, throwing their hate and writing
- 8:39Speaker 1: it in line and creating all these names for themselves
- 8:43Speaker 1: so it could look like more people was hating when
- 8:45Speaker 1: they got through with all that. Look at me, man,
- 8:49Speaker 1: Look what he did to me. Look what he did
- 8:52Speaker 1: from me, because he taught me something that day. And
- 8:55Speaker 1: I'm sharing it with you because God will do the
- 8:57Speaker 1: same thing for you. But you gotta trust him though.
- 9:01Speaker 1: You got to get in there and you got to
- 9:02Speaker 1: let him do it. You gotta let him handle it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So just like pop Bridge is taught my wife Margie,
- 9:07Speaker 1: just because you can do something don't mean you'll to
- 9:09Speaker 1: do something. Yeah, you could go down there and straighten
- 9:11Speaker 1: the mouth. But should you though? Yeah, you can go
- 9:14Speaker 1: down there and tell them all. Yeah, you can go
- 9:15Speaker 1: down and stand up and make sure they know it's
- 9:17Speaker 1: your voice that they're here, and you can get in
- 9:20Speaker 1: their face and make a scene. But should you though,
- 9:23Speaker 1: or should you let go and let God see? So
- 9:28Speaker 1: before we run all out in the streets and somebody
- 9:32Speaker 1: that that that that we forming these groups and somebody
- 9:34Speaker 1: go out there and do something crazy, let's hold tight.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Now I'm not saying don't go out there, but you
- 9:39Speaker 1: gotta watch who you go out there with, because somebody
- 9:42Speaker 1: crazy you could be. You can go down there with
- 9:44Speaker 1: peace in your heart. Somebody this side, I'm gonna throw
- 9:46Speaker 1: a brick through here and bust a wonder. Hold up, partner,
- 9:49Speaker 1: Hold up, there ain't what we're down here doing. So See, sometimes, man,
- 9:51Speaker 1: you gotta let go, and you gotta let God. You
- 9:53Speaker 1: gotta let God have a situation sometimes and you get
- 9:56Speaker 1: it in and do the things that he tells you
- 9:58Speaker 1: to do. See Bishop woman and taught me a lot.
- 10:00Speaker 1: He had another book out and he said, you know,
- 10:03Speaker 1: knowing God's Voice or something like that. I'm not sure
- 10:06Speaker 1: the title, but I never really knew the definition of
- 10:09Speaker 1: how do you know as God's voice talking to you, Well,
- 10:12Speaker 1: he clearly made a statement. God's voice has no sin
- 10:16Speaker 1: in it. See anything you're talking about. Whenever you're talking about,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna go I'm gonna show him. I'm gonna get
- 10:22Speaker 1: him back. I'm gonna write a letter and I'm gonna
- 10:25Speaker 1: tell him down at his job. If it's sin in it,
- 10:28Speaker 1: God ain't in it. See thats you now, God's voice
- 10:32Speaker 1: has no sin in it. So when you say God
- 10:35Speaker 1: told me, be careful, because God ain't never told you
- 10:39Speaker 1: to go do nothing wrong, that ain't what he told you.
- 10:42Speaker 1: And I learned that too. It's a lot, so I'm
- 10:45Speaker 1: just sharing the day. I hope it helps somebody today
- 10:48Speaker 1: get through a difficult time because the show has helped me.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And I'm just talking to myself now because i got
- 10:52Speaker 1: another one I'm looking at. I'm dealing with it though.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I'm all good. Please know you're listening. Twenty one twenty
- 11:02Speaker 1: one minutes after there a welcome to the ride. It

- 11:39Speaker 1: like you meet it. Glad to be here. I'm not there.

- 17:28Speaker 1: is you ain't that area? That area something that area do?
- 17:33Speaker 1: And then he I'm here to jail. Yeah, you need
- 17:38Speaker 1: You're gonna need a machette. All right, Well, I need
- 17:50Speaker 1: to know who who's up for doing the pert you.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I think who brought it up? And go first? I
- 18:00Speaker 1: who brought up you? Go in the second of all
- 18:05Speaker 1: makes you you've got a lot of wax he's a

- 18:29Speaker 1: a stroller and he has his legs crossed, yes, shouldn't
- 18:34Speaker 1: he be walking? I mean he shouldn't there holding his

- 18:44Speaker 1: in his mouth. Now he looked like he bout seven.
- 18:48Speaker 1: But then when you talk to the moment you said
- 18:50Speaker 1: the boy ain't but three? Because I thought of lads,
- 18:54Speaker 1: we had a bottle and was on a cell phone
- 18:57Speaker 1: leg So the boy, why is you pushing this man?
- 19:03Speaker 1: That's what I don't understanding. I was trying to tell

- 42:12Speaker 1: Is that her? You know? So that's Charlotte Green? Yeah?
- 42:14Speaker 1: I know, yeah, okay, I should um I was. I'm
- 42:25Speaker 1: the president of Minorities for Medical Marijuana out here in
- 42:27Speaker 1: South Carolina. They have the main office is in Florida
- 42:32Speaker 1: in the Orlando area where Rice McCarthy. Because you say
- 42:35Speaker 1: who you are again, my name is Rosemary Wallace and
- 42:39Speaker 1: you're the whiteness. I am the President of Minorities for
- 42:43Speaker 1: Medical Marijuana, South Carolina Chapter. I need to get your number. Okay,
- 42:49Speaker 1: that's not a problem. I've been trying to contact you
- 42:51Speaker 1: now for that. I'm the one. Well, we've we've made contact.
- 42:59Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 43:02Speaker 1: buckle up and hold on tight. We got it for you. Here.
- 43:04Speaker 1: It is a strawberry letter. All right, thank you enough
- 43:07Speaker 1: you subject? Is this just another innocent or is this
- 43:10Speaker 1: just an innocent bromance? That's the subject. Is this just
- 43:14Speaker 1: an innocent bromance? Well, let's see, Dear Stephen Shirley, I've
- 43:18Speaker 1: been married for eleven years and my husband and I
- 43:22Speaker 1: have two kids. We moved to a new city and
- 43:24Speaker 1: state because of my husband's job. Once we were settled,
- 43:28Speaker 1: my husband joined several local clubs and started golfing, fishing, skiing,
- 43:33Speaker 1: and he made some new male friends. He is rarely
- 43:36Speaker 1: home with me and the kids. My concern is that
- 43:40Speaker 1: my husband has become questionably close to one of the men.
- 43:44Speaker 1: They go out together, They talk on the phone for
- 43:47Speaker 1: long periods of time, they hang out at each other's houses,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and go on guy trips together. He often talks about
- 43:54Speaker 1: how cool this guy is and how easy he is
- 43:57Speaker 1: to talk to. At first, I thought it was cool
- 44:00Speaker 1: that they had, you know, that he had a new
- 44:01Speaker 1: best friend. But now I question his friendship with a
- 44:04Speaker 1: guy because this happened. He baked this guy a birthday cake.
- 44:10Speaker 1: And get this from scratch that's in all caps, from
- 44:14Speaker 1: scratches in all caps. And all of years, all of
- 44:18Speaker 1: these years we've been married, I never even knew he
- 44:22Speaker 1: could bake. He has never baked me or the kids
- 44:25Speaker 1: a cake or any type of dessert. He told me
- 44:28Speaker 1: that his friend said the cake was delicious. Am I
- 44:33Speaker 1: being paranoid or is my husband showing signs of being
- 44:36Speaker 1: too close to his new friend. Should I say something
- 44:39Speaker 1: to my husband please help? Okay, first of all, yes,
- 44:42Speaker 1: you should say something to your husband immediately. I don't
- 44:45Speaker 1: know if it will help at this point because this
- 44:47Speaker 1: relationship seems pretty close right here. But yeah, the yeah,
- 44:51Speaker 1: the cake has been baked. So to speak. You you
- 44:55Speaker 1: have a voice, you have a concern. This is a
- 44:58Speaker 1: problem in your marriage. Becau is just making you upset,
- 45:01Speaker 1: as making you uncomfortable. Look, your husband is spending way
- 45:04Speaker 1: too much time with this guy. If this was a woman,
- 45:07Speaker 1: you'd have no problem saying something. I know that we
- 45:09Speaker 1: have our intuition working for as women, So you need
- 45:14Speaker 1: to say something. You need to find out what's going on.
- 45:16Speaker 1: You have your intubuition, You kind of know what's going on.
- 45:19Speaker 1: You might need to hear that it's happening for real
- 45:22Speaker 1: with your husband. I don't know if you need to
- 45:24Speaker 1: hear that, but you definitely need to have a conversation
- 45:26Speaker 1: with your husband. He's spending too much time with this man.
- 45:29Speaker 1: That's ridiculous. Surely, that's ridiculous. Women always, you just gotta
- 45:35Speaker 1: say something. You have to A man just can't be happy.
- 45:41Speaker 1: This man can't be happy. You don't want him hanging
- 45:43Speaker 1: around women. So you find them, he finds a guy.
- 45:46Speaker 1: They obviously they share all the same likes. Okay, what
- 45:52Speaker 1: I mean? So what? So what I find out you
- 45:54Speaker 1: like cake, my friend and Kate. All you do is
- 46:00Speaker 1: talk about cake every time we out how much you
- 46:03Speaker 1: love these cakes. Maybe be paying for the bill all
- 46:05Speaker 1: the time. I had to pay the least I can
- 46:08Speaker 1: do make this man a cake from scratch back. Why
- 46:13Speaker 1: are you on my back about making this man a cake?
- 46:15Speaker 1: It't never make me no cake because you don't talk
- 46:17Speaker 1: about cake. You don't talk about cake. You don't pay
- 46:21Speaker 1: for all the bills. He'd be paying for the bills.
- 46:24Speaker 1: I ain't paid for membership with this golf spot since
- 46:26Speaker 1: I've been there. That had to me about ten thousand.
- 46:28Speaker 1: If I got to make a cake so I can
- 46:30Speaker 1: keep hitting these free golf balls, I'm gonna make the cake.
- 46:33Speaker 1: That's all scratch ken. I've been baking for thirteen years.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Every time you leave a house, I make myself a come.
- 46:41Speaker 1: You don't notice because you don't talk to me about cake.
- 46:44Speaker 1: You know I got a passion for making cake. I
- 46:47Speaker 1: just can't be happy you don't like the fish, So
- 46:50Speaker 1: call like the fish. Yeah, I'm giving him a name
- 46:56Speaker 1: like the play well, and I'm wrong because I bake
- 47:03Speaker 1: your cake. Yeah, and get on my back just because
- 47:07Speaker 1: I baked the cake. That's just my friend. Get out
- 47:10Speaker 1: my back. Who likes cake? Like cake? I want you
- 47:15Speaker 1: never made a cake from me? Your wife, because I
- 47:17Speaker 1: don't tell me you talked about your cake, but Carl talks.
- 47:27Speaker 1: As soon as you got a Carl, Carl, go let
- 47:29Speaker 1: me ask you question, Kevin, red velvet vanilla? What's you
- 47:33Speaker 1: talking about? Car? What's talk about cake? Cake? If you
- 47:35Speaker 1: if you can pick one, what one would you pick?
- 47:37Speaker 1: I don't know, Carl, chocolate man. If I had chocolate
- 47:40Speaker 1: a red velvet cake, I would be so happy that
- 47:43Speaker 1: I took a note. We want to restaurant. Soon as
- 47:47Speaker 1: we got the restaurant, Carl said, do you guys got cake?
- 47:49Speaker 1: And you got cake? I don't want to eat because
- 47:51Speaker 1: I don't want cake. What I'm gonna eat? Carl like cake? Yes?
- 47:54Speaker 1: You know? And guess what he said after he baked
- 47:57Speaker 1: the cake for what? Did he say? That it was delicious?
- 48:00Speaker 1: The biggest compliment that you can get at you from
- 48:02Speaker 1: making a cake from scratch. I don't beg a cake
- 48:04Speaker 1: from scratch to somebody to say that was okay a word? Yeah,
- 48:10Speaker 1: I put love of soul into this cake. Delicious cakes.
- 48:14Speaker 1: That's it? Why you on my back about blanket? Is
- 48:17Speaker 1: the cake? You never make me one? You don't you
- 48:22Speaker 1: put your right cake. You put your drawers in the can.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Put the drawers. That's what I'm praid of. Yeah, that's
- 48:31Speaker 1: why we have a problem. I can't be happy. Simple cake.
- 48:34Speaker 1: It wasn't I made that. You have something to say.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I made a chocolate cake with some strawberries going around
- 48:48Speaker 1: with a little bit of whipped cream about Yeah, I
- 48:53Speaker 1: didn't say that. It wasn't like that. If I put
- 49:01Speaker 1: money buds on the side of it with some fruit
- 49:04Speaker 1: and something, I gotta ride it. Then I get it.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I get it. But why didn't you have to bake
- 49:08Speaker 1: him from scratch? I mean when you take things from
- 49:10Speaker 1: scratch at it, how else do you beg a cake?
- 49:13Speaker 1: He'll making from the box? Nine would my friend about cake?
- 49:18Speaker 1: That's my friends who wants a box kick for for
- 49:24Speaker 1: a big day for them. This was on a Wednesday.
- 49:27Speaker 1: He had a lot going on. He said he was dressed.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I said, I'm gon tax stress up. So I beg
- 49:33Speaker 1: to cat with it. I gave it to him. I
- 49:38Speaker 1: had a white button up shirt unbuttoned a little bit,
- 49:41Speaker 1: and I had a boat shut down a little Yeah,
- 49:47Speaker 1: he's in the chip. I'm on my face. So what
- 49:54Speaker 1: what's the big deal? You always seeing something? Oh, it's me,
- 49:59Speaker 1: it's ma. I wanted them look nice when I gave
- 50:02Speaker 1: the whites up. Baby, I got the visual. I got
- 50:10Speaker 1: the yea. Yes, I lick the last piece of stuff.
- 50:18Speaker 1: You on this page. You see the pictures of meat
- 50:21Speaker 1: looking the cake. She needs help. She wants to know
- 50:25Speaker 1: should she say something to her husband, the cake baker.
- 50:28Speaker 1: I don't think so. A nice person, he's a nice guy. Yeah,
- 50:34Speaker 1: he's a romance. All right, nephew, you're ready Part two,
- 50:42Speaker 1: Part two? All right, we'll come back and talk more
- 50:47Speaker 1: to Kevin. Wasn't it wasn't that at all. You're listening
- 50:52Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Kevin Hart is
- 50:55Speaker 1: our crazy special guests this morning. As if we needed
- 50:59Speaker 1: another the crazy person on this show. To czy, Steve
- 51:04Speaker 1: is out today, we gave him a vacation. Kevin came
- 51:06Speaker 1: with the take over the movie's auto called Captain Underpan.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I love the title. Of the movie. Yeah, I'm glad
- 51:13Speaker 1: you do. Some people. Some people just in the flipping
- 51:15Speaker 1: and people are like the flipping actause if they had
- 51:18Speaker 1: something different, flip it h and then your bos some
- 51:28Speaker 1: kind of every friend. You know, I don't salty about that. Ridiculous.
- 51:34Speaker 1: What are you accusing Kevin Off of stealing? Well, nothing nothing.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Don't give this man ammunition to further this awful similar idea.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Luke draws never, you know, I never never developed. I
- 51:51Speaker 1: go and I see pants on. What makes your draws
- 51:56Speaker 1: similar to man will hire you times? Ridiculous cheering Ken
- 52:05Speaker 1: your draws lower. I'm not getting it. I'm not I'm
- 52:07Speaker 1: not lay ask you this, Jane, the last time you
- 52:10Speaker 1: saw Kevin did you have to happen to mention? The
- 52:17Speaker 1: last time I saw Ja, he said, you gotta try
- 52:20Speaker 1: my hot Soja said to me, you never talked about
- 52:24Speaker 1: Lieutenant Draws when I ever said that he had an
- 52:27Speaker 1: animation project. He said, Kim, you gotta try my hot
- 52:30Speaker 1: so And I was like, all right, I would love
- 52:32Speaker 1: to try a hot and he was like watch that now,
- 52:35Speaker 1: And I said, jasn't stick about conversation. It sounds like
- 52:40Speaker 1: you though you got hot sauce. Yeah, and watch that
- 52:42Speaker 1: did not come out. Nothing else that he said in
- 52:48Speaker 1: the middle of talking about by the way, coming out
- 52:56Speaker 1: trying Yes, you should have a project coming out called
- 52:59Speaker 1: us a Day because he never talks about that. Jay,
- 53:04Speaker 1: That's not what was said. Tommy, I understand, but but
- 53:08Speaker 1: you know at this point, actually, Kevin Jason seemed like
- 53:12Speaker 1: he's got some some some backpage coming. Jay seems like
- 53:16Speaker 1: a crazy person. This person I know crazy when I
- 53:21Speaker 1: see crazy. J Anthony Brown is crossed the street crazy.
- 53:26Speaker 1: You know that guy that you see That's why cross
- 53:31Speaker 1: the street. You heard the song he just said, Yeah,
- 53:37Speaker 1: in the court of law. In the court of law, Ja,
- 53:42Speaker 1: his word may stand. It's nothing nothing and jam. You
- 53:48Speaker 1: don't stop it. I'm a knock that head off here here,
- 53:50Speaker 1: you stop it right now. This lieutenant draws message ain't
- 53:54Speaker 1: a drawing a nothing out of here. He ain't got
- 53:56Speaker 1: a sketch idea with the got it look like you
- 54:00Speaker 1: don't even know if the guy black and white. I
- 54:02Speaker 1: don't know what this guy is all Noah is I
- 54:05Speaker 1: changed captain to you and I changed pants to draws.
- 54:09Speaker 1: I got something because I wanted to ask, Yeah, yea
- 54:14Speaker 1: captain captain under pant How do you how do you
- 54:17Speaker 1: record everything? Is it in your own studio? Are you
- 54:19Speaker 1: with the other actors? How does that work? No? You
- 54:21Speaker 1: know what we uh, And this one we had a
- 54:23Speaker 1: table read with the script and we saw that everybody
- 54:26Speaker 1: had chemistry, and we did one session reading together. Then
- 54:30Speaker 1: we all broke off in the separate sessions. But I'm
- 54:32Speaker 1: in the studio for two hours out of a day,
- 54:35Speaker 1: you know, over the course of eight months. You know,
- 54:37Speaker 1: it's so long to do animation, so you're in there periodically,
- 54:40Speaker 1: but it's two hours fun. It's fun because you by yourself,
- 54:44Speaker 1: you're in your own world and literally you go crazy
- 54:47Speaker 1: a little bit because you're just in there doing a
- 54:49Speaker 1: bunch of phass and trying to kid world and they
- 54:55Speaker 1: show you video or yourself after you're like, yeah, you
- 54:58Speaker 1: ain't gonna show. There's nobody else, right, They getting released
- 55:01Speaker 1: online enough, But that's how they developed the character. You know,
- 55:05Speaker 1: they started to use a lot of your mannerisms and
- 55:08Speaker 1: your facial expressions and put them into the animated character
- 55:10Speaker 1: is being developed. So overall the process is amazing. Man,
- 55:13Speaker 1: it's uh, it's long, but it's worth it. When you
- 55:15Speaker 1: see the final outcoming. But that studio time two hours
- 55:18Speaker 1: two hours max. And now I'm in there in my
- 55:21Speaker 1: draws just having fun. Not now tell us about the book.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I can't make this up. Life lesson to that Hit
- 55:33Speaker 1: Stories Tuesday, June Sexist. I am beyond excited about the
- 55:38Speaker 1: release of this book. This is me trying to uh
- 55:40Speaker 1: I get you say, broadened the brand of of Kevin Hartman,
- 55:43Speaker 1: and you know, writing a book and putting another side
- 55:46Speaker 1: to me out there was was necessary at this point
- 55:48Speaker 1: in time in my career because I think there's so
- 55:50Speaker 1: much information in my story that can be shared and
- 55:53Speaker 1: used and it can be a value to others. You know.
- 55:56Speaker 1: I think what I told was what's real. You know,
- 55:58Speaker 1: the good, the bad is raw sun cut. It's about
- 56:01Speaker 1: the downward spiral that eventually took me to the upward spiral.
- 56:05Speaker 1: But I think the information that's important is just the
- 56:09Speaker 1: struggle that that motivated me to stay true to their
- 56:13Speaker 1: dreams and goals. And there's life, of course, I think so.
- 56:17Speaker 1: I mean there's life lessons in any and everything you do.
- 56:19Speaker 1: Within every failure, like I said, you can find some
- 56:21Speaker 1: positivity in it to learn from and that that that
- 56:24Speaker 1: education that you took from that will act as useful
- 56:27Speaker 1: information to get you past the next situation in life.
- 56:29Speaker 1: So it's just about each chapter becoming a lesson, and
- 56:32Speaker 1: that lesson helped me through the next chapter. And that's
- 56:34Speaker 1: what Yet I wanted to know. Was there a point
- 56:38Speaker 1: when you just said, this is not what I should
- 56:40Speaker 1: be doing. I should go back to whatever it is
- 56:41Speaker 1: i'm doing it with With with comedy, it wasn't. It
- 56:46Speaker 1: was never a stand up comedy. It was in the
- 56:48Speaker 1: acting side. When I first came to l A and
- 56:52Speaker 1: I had a deal and I was doing like Pilots
- 56:55Speaker 1: and the Pilot and get picked up, and then I
- 56:56Speaker 1: was just sitting around waiting for phone calls about auditions.
- 56:59Speaker 1: It was like a year where I'm literally just sitting
- 57:02Speaker 1: waiting for somebody to say, hey, we think we want
- 57:04Speaker 1: you to come in and audition, and it was like
- 57:06Speaker 1: five calls. But the year where I went on auditions
- 57:08Speaker 1: and I was like, this isn't what I do, this
- 57:10Speaker 1: isn't helping me get better, this isn't helping me do anything,
- 57:13Speaker 1: I said, I'm gonna pause that and I'm gonna focus
- 57:15Speaker 1: on stand up. And that's when I went and I
- 57:18Speaker 1: grinded the role for four years of non stop travel,
- 57:23Speaker 1: nine stop. That's when I hit those comedy clubs and
- 57:25Speaker 1: I just kept doing and I pushed the act aside
- 57:28Speaker 1: all the way to the right, and I said, that's
- 57:29Speaker 1: gonna come when this gets big enough to draw the
- 57:32Speaker 1: attention that I'm supposed to. So it was me checking
- 57:34Speaker 1: myself and saying, what am I and what am I
- 57:37Speaker 1: supposed to be doing. I'm a stand up comedian, I'm
- 57:38Speaker 1: not an actor first. That comes after I've reached a
- 57:42Speaker 1: certain level within stand up comedy. So let me stay
- 57:44Speaker 1: true to this dream over here and not try to
- 57:47Speaker 1: do everything he wants, conquer something and get real good
- 57:50Speaker 1: at this so ultimately this can come. That's what I
- 57:53Speaker 1: did that I think, yeah, and I have followed your career, Kevin.
- 57:55Speaker 1: I think the biggest lesson for me, as far as
- 57:58Speaker 1: you are concerned is what you just said. You stay
- 58:01Speaker 1: true to yourself, and you've always believed in yourself no
- 58:04Speaker 1: matter what. I remember your TV sitcoms and all of that.
- 58:08Speaker 1: I remember all of it. I remember all of that.
- 58:10Speaker 1: But you always believed in Kevin Hart. You always in
- 58:14Speaker 1: a film where he was walking around with a puppet.
- 58:15Speaker 1: You ain't seen this one. Oh my god, something like
- 58:20Speaker 1: a business. Remember, listen, there's a lot of stuff you
- 58:23Speaker 1: get to looking at this resume. People some stuff on there,
- 58:25Speaker 1: and I'm not proud of stuff that I am proud of.
- 58:27Speaker 1: But at the end of the day is stuff. Stuff
- 58:31Speaker 1: You need stuff. You don't know what's next if you
- 58:35Speaker 1: don't have stuff. That's right. We're gonna talk to Kevin
- 58:37Speaker 1: about Dave Chappelle, what he said about him in It's
- 58:40Speaker 1: Netflix Stand up Special. Kevin has stuff. He'll be here
- 58:43Speaker 1: all morning. We talked a bunch of stuff right after this.
- 58:46Speaker 1: You're listening to the String Show. All right, Kevin Hart
- 58:51Speaker 1: our special guest all morning. This morning is going by
- 58:54Speaker 1: fast because we're having a good time. We are. Steve's
- 58:58Speaker 1: out today. Kevin Hart is here with the takeover start
- 59:01Speaker 1: of the brand new movie Captain Underpans. You are a star, Kevin.
- 59:05Speaker 1: I mean even other comedians have to give it up
- 59:07Speaker 1: to you. I'm a comedian, comedians, comedian, I love you,
- 59:13Speaker 1: I love the craft of comedy, and more important, I
- 59:15Speaker 1: think it's it's it's always important to understand the world
- 59:21Speaker 1: of comedy and understand where you lie. So regardless of
- 59:24Speaker 1: my success, now I am I'm a student, man, I
- 59:27Speaker 1: bowed down to those that should be bowed down to. Uh,
- 59:30Speaker 1: like I said to then, today is never a competition.
- 59:32Speaker 1: But I don't get here without those greats paving the way.
- 59:36Speaker 1: And that list of greats is a long list of
- 59:38Speaker 1: great So I'm forever humble about where I am, and
- 59:41Speaker 1: more importantly, I'm just thankful, thank for those guys for
- 59:44Speaker 1: for allowing me to be in a position and supporting
- 59:46Speaker 1: me while i'm here. Yea, even even when you get
- 59:48Speaker 1: a little bit of hate, you can always shrug it
- 59:50Speaker 1: off because it's it's more positive than negative. I'm always
- 59:53Speaker 1: gonna find you. You saw the Dave Chappelle. I'm sure
- 59:57Speaker 1: his recent us DA comedy special, comedy special. That's a
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: true story. It's okay, tell us what it's a true
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: story something. And I'm in Ohio and Dave came to
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: my show. We we sold all, like I sold out
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: I think two shows at this arena there. So Dave
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: came to one of the shows that I finally he
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: was there. I was like, yo, come come backstage when
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: you're done. So he comes backstage right and he's got
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: his son with him, and Dave like he's like yo, man.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: He's like, can I hope I'm not bothering you. Man,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: about bothering me. We're about to eat. Come on, man,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: we got food. Come on in and eat. So he
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: comes in. He like sees the spread, like the food.

- 1:00:42Speaker 1: they had this type of food out here. Did you
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: bring this? It's like it is something they got him somewhere.

- 1:01:04Speaker 1: So the sun is eating and David just looking at
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: his son because the sun is like tearing the food
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: up like you're eating like you ain't another he got
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: no money. It sounds like so good, so good. Right.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: So we're back there, we're talking and and it's something
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: he was like, yeah, Calvy's a big fan. And I
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: was like, oh man, that's cool. I'm like shaking his
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: son's hand, talking to his son. And they gave me
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: these jerseys at the at the arena at the arena

- 1:01:44Speaker 1: got heart and everything in the hats. I was like,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: if your dad didn't get mad at you, just put
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: one of these. He was like, oh man, thanks, man
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: like this so so excited. I just remember seeing them leave,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Like when they left, you know how like you grab
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: your son up. Dave grabbed me by the back of
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: the next So he tells the whole story in this comedy,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: but it was it was a true story. I love
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: it that moment and and and brought it to life
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: like but his son was genuinely a fan. And they
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: were talking. He was talking about how like when they
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: brought me out, he said it was a bunch of
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: explosions and fact she said, I didn't know what was
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: going on. Coming had a band. I thought it was
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: a ban. He hit the stage. Everybody's hooting holler, and
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I was like, I'm here too, Let's get out of
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: here walking. Nobody recognized me. This place, stupid venue is stupid,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: stupid people. And then it happened to you though too.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: With my daughter, we saw Jamie Fox were in Miami
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: and Jamie foxes at the restaurant. Mr. Child, let's your restaurants,

- 1:03:07Speaker 1: son to a movie. Heaven sees Jamie Fox and she's like, Dad,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Oh my god, Jamie Fox. It happened so fast. I
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: couldn't catch myself. Shut up acting like that. Keep talking
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: about Jamie Fox. Can I meet him? Though? I don't know.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I don't even know. I don't even know, so I
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: don't I don't know that ain't gonna happen, Like damn,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: please please shut you don't eat, you don't eat. You
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: keep and then Fox saw me. You know what I'm
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: trying to get out, dude something. He's like cad with U. Boy.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: She's like, Dad, you said you didn't know. I didn't
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: know you were talking about that Jamie talking about it.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Don't you talking about the singer? I don't even talking
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: about she. Get over there, all crazy inspider man, when
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: you were shut up, shut up? I think you know
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: what he did. You got to talk to me man
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: about his resume. You know that I'm so bad. But
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: you don't know, like you it catches you off, Gode.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: You know when you see your kids embrace in front
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: of you, like my son, is that Kevin Hart my
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: oldest twenty years old. I sell out the Dark Constitution
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Hall in DC. So you see your daddy did boy?
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: He said, yeah, but Kevin Hart be down there with
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: the Wizards. That's the dagger. You don't get your da
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: You know, the Wizards opened up for Kevin game. You
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: know it's pretty big. I mean that was there. I
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: know there's love between comedians and everything, but it's there
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: like a healthy competition to honestly, no, not for me.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: The thing I don't want anything, but good for for
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I mean the network. I'm launching to laugh out out
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: of network. You got a network. The network is the network.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: If you're sitting here not acting like it. Just threw
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: that out there with the comedies. Yeah, I lions Gate,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: So I said, fifty fifty with lions Gate, I'm a CEO,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: uh full ownership of CEO. Away that's not listen. It's
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: a multi cultural platform for comedy. So what I wanted
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: to do. I had a vision and I brought this
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: to lion gate. I said, look right now, comedy is
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: so segregated online like you got to search here, search here,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: There is no one destination. I said, I want to
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: create a destination strictly for comedy, comedy, content, comedy, stand up. Uh,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you know, women, men, future writers direct the platform where
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: we can call everything every here. But it's multi culture.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Comedy is universal. That's a bring. That's what the alf
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: A Love Network is about, because me giving a platform
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: for comedy for you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:06:55Speaker 1: that pain. Huh man. Who's the biggest liar in your family?
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Show my mom? Your mom is a big liar? Some
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: of the lies your mom is told? Who my father was?

- 1:07:16Speaker 1: nained little father, lie lie for no reaf Who is
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: the biggest liar in your family? Who's the biggest liar
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: in your family? What does he lie about? And who's
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: the biggest liar in your family? Husband? Your husband lies
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: a lot. What's the last lie he told? I don't
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: even know where he is right now? Thank you all
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: so much, real quick. What's the greatest morning show in
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: the world. Thank you so much? She said, we're a
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Christian family. That's last that is actually hurt. Thank you man,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: and uh my daddy. Yeah, it's gonna be a good
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: bit on the talk. Yeah, and my mom laughed at
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: me about that too. That's a whole different story, but
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: we're talking about that another time, but my daddy was
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: in Oh yeah at the paint is still But that
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: was never an issue at out. You slick man was
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: the boss at our house. It was never an issue.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: It was the boss. Now my mama was the boss,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: but he was yeah, oh okay, yeah, what what was
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: the story you told the time, Steve, when you were
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: in the bathtub or something and your dad came in
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: the bathroom. Daddy came in and used the bathroom while
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: I was taking the bath. I was there, huh, came in,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Well I got to go huh. And he started undressing
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: and I was sitting there in the bathtub. I'm of
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: boats and stuff in them, starting to get concerned. Well
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: he ain't. My daddy ass naked and just hanging the
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: clothes up on the back of the dough. You know.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: That's where I got it from. I go to bath
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: when you well you there's a lot of freedom use
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: for the for the traction, I understand it. Yeah, keep
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: your shoes all that stuff up up on the wall.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: And he just started, man, and I couldn't take it.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: I was trying to get lower and lower down in
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: the water. Water starting to cool off here, and they're
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: just reading and grunting and outre and it started getting
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: fouling there. So I tried to go down lower and
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: keep the bubbles around my nose to block it. Then
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: the bubbles got in my nose and I was actually
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: drowning in six inches of water. That was a horrible
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: day for me. And man, my brothers was laughing. They asked,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: of course, boy, I know Daddy ain't sitting up in there,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: man using the bathroom, Stephen, that damn water. Daddy can't
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: win it that day, didn't even he brought it, brought it,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: brought to pay. Taught me a lot, though. What's up
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: after that? I locked the bath from doing act like
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: I can't hear because there was only one bath one bathroom,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: one bathroom, one bath yea yeah, but it worked, and
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: you took a bath by yourself. Man, y'all have money.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: I was just visualizing him in the tub by his self. Well,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: I was a tall boy, so wasn't who else is
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: gonna get in there? Well, I mean and my cousin.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: We had to take a bath together and then saved
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: that water. Don't you throw water, don't you put it?
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: We had to do that. I stand a second, but
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: that's what But then what my mom and then would
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: do would put some bubbles in there and switch it
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: round so you couldn't see it was cloudy. Remember that
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: film with the on the top stand. That ain't never
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: bothered me, though yeah I didn't. Film didn't bother me.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I can't see in the cloudy water, the cloudy water
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: and your daddy in there. And that was another thing.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: And don't know, I learned to all when they told
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: me to stay out of his old spice. And I
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: got into that old spice naked one day and was
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: splashing it on my hands and got something on my
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: little jewels, yea, on my little chesting them chesting the
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: spice on and I didn't know what it was, so
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: I was bad froom it and started off with a
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: with a slight whimper like that, and then it gets
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: into you, and then then it started to and then
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: after while I had old spots on the jewels, old
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: spice on the jewels. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Morning Show. The star of Captain Underpants has been with

- 1:13:25Speaker 1: understand that there's an athlete within all lovers. That's my
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: that's my that's my structure in my peach. But we
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: went to I was in Milan and I went to
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: this thing called Breaking two. So it's this guy who's
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: the world record holder for marathon. He was trying to
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: run twenty six point four miles in less than two hours. Okay,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: this was his goal. This man averaged a four minute
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: in thirty five second miles for four he ran up.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: He ran marathon in two hours and I think it
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: was twenty four seconds. My friend Wayne, you guys know,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: ran a half marathon. Let me just do you an idea.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: How fast is what's thirteen in three hours? Wayne? Did
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: in three hours. Right. That means that this man lap
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: came back, sat down, I used his lads, got up
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: in an interview, showered, got out of the locker, went home,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: and saw on the TV that Wayne just got done.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: I never in my life seeing nobody running this fast
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: in my life. In my life. But I'm about to
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: do something amazing. Okay, I don't want to say yet,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: but I'm about to do something. I'm in I'm in
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: full fledged shocked the world mode right now. I got
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: some I got some announcement, but I have to say
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I was shocked when you walked through the door of
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: this morning cut. Looked like somebody drew me. Yeah. I'm
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: saying about being your cake and you look good, Kevin,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: you do I heard just talking about my friend. Yeah,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: I haven't. You never said nothing about never said anything.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: I would beg you a cake show. You don't want
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: to talk about cat having a love I want to
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Kevin think. I think he looks nice. I think it's
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: a nice gesture from behalf to get that man the cake.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, Tommy, you want to help with the cake? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: we should both put our hands in this. Captain Underpan
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: is the name of the movie. I can't make this up.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Life Lessons is the name of the book, right. It's
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: available on Amazon, you go to Barnes and Nobles com Uh. Look, guys, blood,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: sweat and tears are poured into this. This is honesty
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: at a different level. Like I said, it's the good,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: the bad, and ugly, and I feel this information is important.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: My journey is one of a lot of struggle before
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: all the success came. And I have no problem with
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: sharing that because ultimately I think people are going to
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: benefit from it. So supported Captain and the pants in theaters.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: That's what I said. You guys listening, sure, what's your issue?
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Don't see it? Goodness, Christius, just tell me you all
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: over the place with this attitude. You don't everybody. You
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: gotta let me finish with my tea to that's goodness.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the incredible Kevin Hart.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: You're listening to Steven Show. Kevin Hart our special guest
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: this morning. What a morning, Kevin Morning. Steve's out has
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: been out. We gave him the day off because you
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: know he works a lot. He's over hosting Steven Egypt.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: You know he's got about ten more talks, ten more
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: game shows, TV shows. All of that working out. So
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: we invited Kevin here. Steve is at a home depot
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: convention currently hosted some of the best wood chippers in
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: the and it's good. So I came down and hang
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: So Steve Harvey, Nation, please go and support Kevin's movie.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: It's called Captain Underpants. It is in theaters right now.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: But Kevin, I wanted to get serious for a minute
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: to ask you this. Monique has been in the news
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: so much lately. We don't have to go over what
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: she said or anything, but um, we know she's been
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: in the news. She said some controversial things to say
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: the least. I just wanted to get your take on it.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I know you're a fellow comedian. You're her friend Monique
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: for years, Monique is Is I call her aunt Nique.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Go back to soul playing.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Monique was there with me, looking out for me when
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: I was younger as a comedian. I remember running into
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Monique and her always giving support and love. And I think,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: you know, I can't tell that woman how to live
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: a life. For what to do? You know? She whatever
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: that issue is, I would hope that they can all
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: get together. You know, at the end of the day,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: you're looking at people that mean a lot to entertainment
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: and to our community and being Lee Daniel's Oprah, and
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: they're all being entire period, all being viewed, uh, you
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: know by by this younger generation of of people that
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: that are looking for ways to understand the business. So
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: I would not encourage fights. I would only encourage solutions
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: and hopefully they can find one. What's your what's your
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: take on woods Man? It's tough man. You've see what
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: he's been going through. And you know, look, a divorce
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: can take a toll on anybody, you know what I mean,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: And that was a major one. I mean, you took
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: forty something million from that man. So if I I
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: was that cop, you know, I would Tyler just taking
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: nap and I'll come back. Take a nap and I'm
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: gonna come back and wake you up. Man, I know
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: you're going through on my car. I don't like kicking
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: people when they down, man, So sometimes I would have
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I would have just all right, Tyler, get in my car,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: let me take you home, or come back and get
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: this in the video it always comes out, man. It's

- 1:22:00Speaker 1: I'm a longtime fan. I just wanted to ask you
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: what advice you would give to somebody who doesn't have
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: both their parents in their life. Um My dad left
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: and he doesn't want anything to do with me, but
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: I still want to be super successful and I want
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: to take after you. I watch your videos every day
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: and I just want to know what you would say.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: Watch this, man. You gotta turn any negative into a positive. Okay.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: At the end of the day, you can't live your
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: life for other people. Your parents serve a major purpose
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: in your life, and I was putting you on this earth.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: I think you do them justice by living out your
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: dreams the best way you can, which is just putting
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: your all into yourself. The role to becoming the best
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: version of you starts with you and you only man.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: At the end of the day, your parents will eventually
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: catch up. I can't do better than that. I love that,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: all right? Uh, you and t. I have something going
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: on as well about producing a TV show with Tip
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: about the life in the studio. You know, there's another
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: world that exists that people don't know about. So I said,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: what if we pulled that curtain and we told that
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: story but from the eyes of the people that work
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: in the studio, not the entertainer. So that intern, that receptionists,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: you know, that runner. Those are the people that operate
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: in the studio twenty four hours a day, and that's
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: who sees everything, the good, the bad, the ugly. And
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: I said, there's a show in that and Tip, who
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: better to have studio stories than the guy that's seen
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: it all, you know, from from everything Tip has been
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: in there, so we can pull from him to get
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: all of the stories and all of the the good
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: juice that we want. And we've developed it into, uh,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: what could become a dope series. Showtime is now interested
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: in the pilot, so we're gonna shoot it and let's
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: see what happens. Got that producer had got the producer
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: happened work? Yeah, network dropping late June. All right. You
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: know the last time you were here, you were hadn't
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: gotten to married yet, you were on your way yes
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: to the altars. Congratulation, thank you for coming up on
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: a year Tom fly, don't yes, you and your beautiful wife.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: You need Coo is pregnant with child. Now my boys
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: can swim. I can swim up there. Man, they're doing
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: a good job. And you're having a boy, having another
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: little boy. I know, having wanted a girl. My daughter
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: was a little p old about it. You know, she
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: wanted a girl real bad. I didn't want another girl. Um,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: I can go reckon and say that I got one.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: That girl deserves all the love that girls A lot said.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: We are we are we yes. So I want this.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: I want this last name to live on uh and
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: continue to grow. So I'm happy that we got some
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: heart men now my son and my son soon to
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: be and you know, hopefully that's it. Hopefully that's it.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: But I don't I don't run my household. I don't
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: know what this woman, How have you changed? How is marriage?
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: This marriage changed you? And everything? What's going on now?
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: I just know how to shut up. I know how
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: to shut up. My wife is the king of question.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: I don't even I don't even listen. It's so bad.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: She just back to back you like hey, what're you
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: doing today? You're gonna eat? What time? If you do eat,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: what time you're gonna go do that? And then you'll
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: probably do what You're gonna go to Jim after that,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: and then when you you will come back to the house,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: you're gonna go somewhere else. I just want to know
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: so that way I know what to do. But if
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: you don't know that, I don't know because you didn't
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: not you you literally didn't take a break any of that.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: I don't like it when she asked me did I eat?
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: When she's been with me? But I love because she's
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: so cool. Though she's very cool, yea, until she's done
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: stuff like that when we we just woke up, like
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: I'm with you, you saw me wake up with you.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: You actually woke me up. So if you ask me
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: did I eat, it's kind of stirp because you just
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: saw you. I'm but naked. I'm I ain't been down
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: steps the first you just you just told me, babe,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: get up because your alarm clock is going on. When
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: did I eat in the tuner? When did I eat
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: the pillow? Like dude, dude, I got the snickers up
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: my pillow and I snacking through the night and my
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: little sneaky. But she'll be dead serious this you'll get mad.
