- 0:20Speaker 1: Good Steve to mother, don't joy. You gotta use that
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn hur you gotta turn to turn them out. Love,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out, to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Yall, come come on your baby, I show
- 2:02Speaker 1: will a good morning everybody. Y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on, dig me now wanted only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Okay, here we go. I was working out.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I was talking to a buddy of mine, and I
- 2:21Speaker 1: was telling him something that Bishop T. D. Jake's told
- 2:24Speaker 1: me one time. I heard him say it. He said, oh,
- 2:29Speaker 1: I would hate to die and not do the thing
- 2:34Speaker 1: that I was born to do. I would hate to
- 2:38Speaker 1: die and not do the theme that I was born
- 2:44Speaker 1: to do. Man, oh man, oh man, man. That hit
- 2:48Speaker 1: me like a like a like a pile of bricks man,
- 2:53Speaker 1: because it made me feel so grateful that God has
- 2:58Speaker 1: allowed me to live my life this way now. And
- 3:05Speaker 1: I'm talking about grateful for all of it, the good,
- 3:09Speaker 1: the bad, and the ugly, and I have had all
- 3:13Speaker 1: of them. The person you see today. It ain't always
- 3:18Speaker 1: who I was. It was on the inside of me,
- 3:21Speaker 1: but it hadn't externalized itself, if that's a word. It
- 3:25Speaker 1: hadn't been brought out. It was in hell, but it
- 3:28Speaker 1: was under development. Who I am today was a process.
- 3:35Speaker 1: But like I said before, don't trip Hem through with
- 3:40Speaker 1: me yet. Even today, I'm still an imperfect soldier for Christ. Today.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I still fall short oftentimes, but I'll tell you what,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I'm ever grateful for the life I have. And you
- 3:58Speaker 1: know what, I want to encourage everybody today to explore
- 4:04Speaker 1: your possibilities. I mean, man, explore your possibilities. Why would
- 4:12Speaker 1: you not want to find out, discover, or know what
- 4:21Speaker 1: it is God got for you? Why would you not
- 4:25Speaker 1: want to achieve or accomplish all of your possibilities? Now,
- 4:30Speaker 1: as I ask you this question, I want you to
- 4:33Speaker 1: know that the devil is busy, that he plays mind tricks.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So as you hear this, I already know he's saying
- 4:40Speaker 1: to some of y'all, Yeah, Steve, that's easy for you
- 4:43Speaker 1: to say, but I didn't get myself in this situation
- 4:46Speaker 1: right here. Ain't nothing too hard for God? Nothing nothing?
- 4:54Speaker 1: And see, so as you listen to me, try to
- 4:57Speaker 1: try to get your mind open to this. Why would
- 5:01Speaker 1: you not want to explore all of your life's possibilities,
- 5:06Speaker 1: what's possible with your life? And I'm talking about from
- 5:09Speaker 1: right where you are right now. I'm not asking you
- 5:13Speaker 1: to change. I'm not asking you to do anything. I'm
- 5:16Speaker 1: telling you this is a fact that God can get
- 5:19Speaker 1: you from right where you are right now. Broken, misled, misguided, misunderstood, mistaken,
- 5:34Speaker 1: all of that, misfortunate, all of the missus you've been
- 5:39Speaker 1: talking about in your life. You know you. I missed
- 5:43Speaker 1: the lottery, I missed my ride. They fired me. I
- 5:47Speaker 1: missed the deadline. I didn't get it. Miss people people
- 5:51Speaker 1: just miss stay self to death. If you've been all
- 5:55Speaker 1: in missus, God can get you from right where you are.
- 6:00Speaker 1: God a home run hitter. I'm here to tell you
- 6:02Speaker 1: that he's a home run hitter. He's a put him
- 6:05Speaker 1: over the wall whenever he want to, all the time.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And you can be a recipient of some of these
- 6:10Speaker 1: home runs. He'll put the bat in your hand. But
- 6:12Speaker 1: you got to sway now, listen to me. You got
- 6:16Speaker 1: to stop feeling sorry for yourself. You got to stop
- 6:19Speaker 1: holding yourself down with beating yourself up. He won't hold
- 6:23Speaker 1: you down about it if you don't hold yourself down
- 6:25Speaker 1: about it. But I'm gonna tell you one more time.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The devil is busy. So what the devil do is
- 6:30Speaker 1: He makes you think you ain't worthy. He makes you
- 6:33Speaker 1: think that you've done something so despicable that you can't
- 6:36Speaker 1: come back from it. He makes you feel like you're
- 6:38Speaker 1: so low you can't go up high. He knocked you down,
- 6:41Speaker 1: and make you feel like you've been knocked down harder
- 6:43Speaker 1: than anybody else. You can't get up. He rolled you
- 6:46Speaker 1: so deep down in that ditch you can't see over
- 6:48Speaker 1: the edge. God can come get you from no matter
- 6:52Speaker 1: where you are. I'm telling you, man, you ain't in
- 6:56Speaker 1: no hole too deep for God. Magic Johnson to tell
- 6:59Speaker 1: you that. Listen to me, you ain't in no hole
- 7:02Speaker 1: too deep for God. Steve Harvey can tell you that
- 7:05Speaker 1: you ain't in a hole too deep for God. Tyler
- 7:09Speaker 1: Perry can tell you that. I can name you some people.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Bishop Jake can tell you that. I could tell you.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Kenneth Alma can tell you that. Bishop Kenneth Olman, I
- 7:17Speaker 1: could tell you some people. Kirk Franklin can tell you that.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Donnie mcclerkton can tell you that. I just know some
- 7:23Speaker 1: people personally man that they've been in a hole. Joel
- 7:26Speaker 1: Oldstein can tell you about it. I know some people
- 7:29Speaker 1: man been down, been in a hole so deep. I
- 7:32Speaker 1: bet you. Paula Deane can tell you about it. See.
- 7:37Speaker 1: But but you know what, then here we go, see
- 7:39Speaker 1: we see see you know, see we don't we don't
- 7:43Speaker 1: like to talk about that because now we want everybody
- 7:46Speaker 1: to pay extra hard for some mistakes they made when
- 7:49Speaker 1: clearly and excuse me for being a new Christian, but
- 7:52Speaker 1: there is a prayer that I've been saying since I
- 7:54Speaker 1: was a little bitty boy, and it took me till
- 7:56Speaker 1: I was a grown man to understand it. Forgive us
- 7:59Speaker 1: our trust passes as we forgive those who trust passed
- 8:02Speaker 1: against us. So see, it ain't my job to hold
- 8:06Speaker 1: nobody down, to keep my knee on somebody's neck. Who
- 8:09Speaker 1: am I. I'm gonna need some forgiveness in a second here,
- 8:13Speaker 1: probably today. See so all this, you're holding people down
- 8:18Speaker 1: with the way you feeling bout the man. She shouldn't
- 8:20Speaker 1: have said this, and she will never get it. I
- 8:22Speaker 1: never support this again. Man, Get up, Get up and
- 8:25Speaker 1: get real. You're for real. You think you ain't fit
- 8:27Speaker 1: the need forgiveness real soon you ain't fin to make
- 8:30Speaker 1: a diabolical mistake in your life. You don't think you are.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I have thousands of them, probably gonna make a few
- 8:36Speaker 1: hundred more for I get up out of here. So
- 8:39Speaker 1: I've decided to be in a forgiving business because I
- 8:44Speaker 1: want God to forgive my trust passes as I forgive
- 8:47Speaker 1: those who trust passed against me. You understand. See excuse
- 8:51Speaker 1: me for being a new Christian. I get I get
- 8:54Speaker 1: tired of talking to pistol, to people man supposed to
- 8:57Speaker 1: be saved and talking about their christian I don't want
- 8:59Speaker 1: that type religion. Man. I ain't in that no more.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I ain't in that. You can call me wrong if
- 9:03Speaker 1: you want to saying how you want to say. I
- 9:05Speaker 1: ain't in that, no more. I ain't in all that.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You can feel how you want to feel about me.
- 9:09Speaker 1: But I got proof that God work in my life.
- 9:11Speaker 1: You know, I can't hardly get it out sometime when
- 9:14Speaker 1: people ask me something about deeper on the inside of me,
- 9:17Speaker 1: about my soul and how I used to being, and
- 9:19Speaker 1: my journey and my trip. Because people don't know the
- 9:21Speaker 1: trip I've been on. You main't been on one worse
- 9:23Speaker 1: than me. But you know what, you ain't in a
- 9:25Speaker 1: hole too deep. God can't get you out of. And
- 9:28Speaker 1: I wish, I want, I want people to remember that man,
- 9:31Speaker 1: God is a redeemer, He the great I am. So
- 9:35Speaker 1: if you ain't got nothing, now what you asking for?
- 9:38Speaker 1: You know you might not have nothing because you ain't
- 9:40Speaker 1: asking for nothing. Could asking God to get you out
- 9:43Speaker 1: of debt and ask God for a life of abundance.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Then you take the money and you get out of debt.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You keep asking to get out of debt, you keep
- 9:50Speaker 1: being in debt to get out of Come on, man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: what you asking God? Fault? I'm just tripping today, that's all.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I apologize you're listening to any show, Ladies
- 10:03Speaker 1: and gentlemen without further a dude, let me have it.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Oh you under violed tention. Please, it's morning time. It's
- 10:10Speaker 1: a new day, it's a new start, it's the beginning,
- 10:14Speaker 1: it's an awakening. It's another chance. I show ain't glad
- 10:17Speaker 1: about it? How about you? Today? It's a day that
- 10:20Speaker 1: the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad
- 10:23Speaker 1: in it. You better believe I'm glad to be in it. Man,
- 10:25Speaker 1: wouldn't want to be nowhere else but where I am

- 11:21Speaker 1: had told me that day's a place in Atlanta called
- 11:25Speaker 1: Buttermilk or something like that, and you had to stand
- 11:28Speaker 1: in line for this chicken sandwich. He would bring me one,
- 11:32Speaker 1: so he works for me, so he bought me the
- 11:35Speaker 1: chicken sandwich. I was outside because real nice in Atlanta. Yesterday.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I hate the chicken sandwich. I said, hey, man, is
- 11:43Speaker 1: it better than Chicken fil a? Oh yeah, oh yeah,

- 12:27Speaker 1: put that appa turnover on that that Alpa, Now, I don't.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I don't do that from fast food. That's yeah, No,
- 12:35Speaker 1: they don't make that. They don't sell it anymore. You know.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I try to coke zero because I haven't had a
- 12:40Speaker 1: soda in over a few years. But well, I mean
- 12:45Speaker 1: coke Zero's delicious was to me, but it tastes like
- 12:49Speaker 1: ice cold syrup because I don't really eat a lot
- 12:52Speaker 1: of sugar no more. I drank that. I might as
- 12:54Speaker 1: well just put some log cabin in the refrigerator. But
- 13:02Speaker 1: at least you thies was good. When I know a league,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I never have one piece of chicken. I want to
- 13:13Speaker 1: thank God for pops keeping. Yeah, yo, legendary. That was
- 13:22Speaker 1: a great commercial for Popeye. Were trying to be but
- 13:26Speaker 1: it was a truth. Though. Give me a check. I
- 13:30Speaker 1: really do something nice for you, all right? Coming up
- 13:36Speaker 1: at thirty two minutes after the hour, a little more
- 13:38Speaker 1: of weekend Review and we'll do ask the CLO Chief
- 13:41Speaker 1: Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we
- 13:48Speaker 1: are a time for the CLO before we get to
- 13:51Speaker 1: the Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey, anyone else have any
- 13:54Speaker 1: weekend meals they want to discuss any cheating anything before
- 13:59Speaker 1: we got to it. I do I have one? Oh really,
- 14:07Speaker 1: I was in it. I was in Atlanta and then
- 14:09Speaker 1: I flew out here. I'm in LA and I bought
- 14:13Speaker 1: a bean pie and I just I'm not complaining to
- 14:16Speaker 1: the nation. I don't want no trouble or nothing like that.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I don't don't even if you see me on the street,
- 14:23Speaker 1: don't hassle me. I'm just making a suggestion. Your pies
- 14:27Speaker 1: are smaller. Your pies are smaller, and I'm trying to
- 14:32Speaker 1: be nice with us. Now. Your prices have went up
- 14:35Speaker 1: for smaller pies. That's how they're still I mean, they's
- 14:38Speaker 1: still good, still good, but it's so smaller. I mean.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And here's the thing. The box is big as hell.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And you don't know you got a small as poule?
- 14:47Speaker 1: Should you drive off? And I'm not you know, I
- 14:50Speaker 1: don't want no trouble. I don't don't, Hey, brother, don't
- 14:53Speaker 1: don't don't. Don't approach me, Okay, don't don't come at
- 14:59Speaker 1: me up all right? Jay Anthony Brown said that we're
- 15:13Speaker 1: moving on time for CLO. Thank you for that, Jay.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey. This one says, uh from
- 15:21Speaker 1: Slim and DC. I've been married ten years. My wife
- 15:23Speaker 1: has a lot of great qualities, but she's not the
- 15:26Speaker 1: one for me. I have married the wrong woman, and
- 15:29Speaker 1: I love her as a friend, but I don't want
- 15:31Speaker 1: to spend the rest of my life with her. The
- 15:33Speaker 1: problem is we have two children, and I hate to
- 15:35Speaker 1: leave them. When we talk about the future, we have
- 15:38Speaker 1: two different visions. My dreams are big and she doesn't
- 15:41Speaker 1: have any. It kills me to hear her being skeptical, negative,
- 15:44Speaker 1: and doubtful daily. It seems like this marriage has run
- 15:47Speaker 1: its course. Is its selfish to leave? Well? I mean, look, man,
- 15:53Speaker 1: you do have kids. I don't know if you need
- 15:56Speaker 1: to talk to him. You know what she needs to
- 15:59Speaker 1: do to up areams? Maybe she needs some encouragement or
- 16:02Speaker 1: something like that. A lot of this just depends on
- 16:05Speaker 1: whether you're in love or not. If you ain't in love,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and it ain't not not can help you with you know,
- 16:10Speaker 1: if you're not in love, it's not not can help.
- 16:13Speaker 1: There's nothing Steve Harvey can do for you, you know,
- 16:16Speaker 1: but you know, you know what I mean. You could
- 16:19Speaker 1: do anything and still remain friends. I'm the last person
- 16:22Speaker 1: to discuss divorce with cover. I'm out, you know, and
- 16:26Speaker 1: I'm I'm the other last person, right, So ran this course.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Then the course is up. All right, we'll just move on.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Then you graduated or you failed. Connecticut Clo says, I'm
- 16:45Speaker 1: thirty seven years old. My husband left me three weeks
- 16:49Speaker 1: ago because I planned a trip to see my sister
- 16:52Speaker 1: and he didn't think I need to um I needed
- 16:55Speaker 1: to get on an airplane during the pandemic. He got
- 16:58Speaker 1: so upset that he didn't talk to me while I
- 17:00Speaker 1: was gone. I go home and he was gone and
- 17:03Speaker 1: had taken two TVs and most of his clothes. He
- 17:06Speaker 1: still won't talk to me, but he texted me to
- 17:08Speaker 1: say he's staying at a friend's house. My sister said
- 17:11Speaker 1: it was all premeditated and he's not coming back. Should
- 17:14Speaker 1: I do some snooping to see what's really going on? Yeah?
- 17:19Speaker 1: I mean, why would you not? Why you got to
- 17:21Speaker 1: ask me, would you snoop? I'm surprised you ain't started. Yeah, yeah, girl,
- 17:25Speaker 1: I'm going to my friend's house. I ain't talking to
- 17:27Speaker 1: you now. When you leave, I got these two TVs
- 17:30Speaker 1: and going because you got on a plane, okay, to
- 17:33Speaker 1: go see your sister. I think he'd been sitting He's
- 17:35Speaker 1: been sitting there for years, waiting on you to get
- 17:38Speaker 1: on a plane. How can I get out? Man? I'm out.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Oh you're going on a plane. I'm staying out of
- 17:45Speaker 1: Free's house. What free you? Yeah? Boy? Stop that need
- 17:49Speaker 1: two TVs? Yeah, yeah, all right. Joy in Kentucky says
- 17:55Speaker 1: my six year old son acts like his dad and
- 17:58Speaker 1: it drives me crazy. We're both twenty eight years old.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But he curses a lot and walks around holding his
- 18:05Speaker 1: pride and Joy as he calls it. Whenever my son
- 18:08Speaker 1: comes home from his dad's house, he has new curse words.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Just yesterday, he was on the phone with my mom
- 18:14Speaker 1: and grabbing his tiny little pride and Joy while he
- 18:17Speaker 1: was talking to her. I told him to stop, and
- 18:20Speaker 1: he said, he's doing what daddy does. How can I
- 18:23Speaker 1: get my son's father to see he's negatively influencing our child,
- 18:27Speaker 1: please help Wow, And you have to show him that
- 18:29Speaker 1: he's negatively influencing your child. I mean, it's only one
- 18:34Speaker 1: way to do it. You gotta say, this is what
- 18:36Speaker 1: he's doing when he's talking to adults and he's six
- 18:39Speaker 1: years old. Now this is going he gonna go to
- 18:42Speaker 1: school with this. Yeah, he's gonna stand on playground talking
- 18:45Speaker 1: to a little girl in recessed in the lunch room
- 18:48Speaker 1: in front of a teacher. And this ain't gonna go good.
- 18:52Speaker 1: So you gotta so, you know, you need to talk
- 18:54Speaker 1: with him. You got to get his father to help
- 18:56Speaker 1: real that type of behavior because it ain't cute on
- 18:59Speaker 1: a six year old. I can tell you that right now,
- 19:01Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, needs to stop immediately, all right, Yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 1: DeNardo and Rochester says, I'm working part time with the
- 19:11Speaker 1: lady that I've been having an affair with. Her husband
- 19:14Speaker 1: found out she's messing around, but he doesn't know who
- 19:17Speaker 1: she's seeing. It's like she wants him to find out.
- 19:20Speaker 1: She won't put a passcoat on her phone, and she
- 19:23Speaker 1: textes me constantly. She's being sloppy and I don't need
- 19:26Speaker 1: any of the drama. Should I distance myself from her
- 19:29Speaker 1: before it's too late what you think because too late
- 19:33Speaker 1: is coming? Yea too late may already be here, who
- 19:36Speaker 1: might be just plotting his move. Yeah, but partner, let
- 19:42Speaker 1: me ask you something, No, don't. It's a lot of
- 19:46Speaker 1: women out here single. What you're doing. What you're doing, though,
- 19:53Speaker 1: I like it, not mean seriously, it's a lot of
- 19:56Speaker 1: single women out here. Ain't got nobody. Look if your dog,
- 20:01Speaker 1: hey dog, you could set this arrangement up practically anyway.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Now you work part time with this woman. Let me
- 20:10Speaker 1: tell you something, man, if this guy does know or
- 20:13Speaker 1: find out who you are, it's gonna be a problem
- 20:16Speaker 1: for you. And it usually always is because a man
- 20:20Speaker 1: takes it ass. Okay, just like I just told you
- 20:23Speaker 1: all these women out here, you're gonna pick my wife
- 20:27Speaker 1: because you knew it because and you think I'm just
- 20:31Speaker 1: a little punk ass dude can take this here. You
- 20:33Speaker 1: got problem, situation problem, You've got a real situation. Better
- 20:37Speaker 1: get out now, man, you and I wish you. I
- 20:39Speaker 1: quit that part time job. Yeah, I quit that part
- 20:43Speaker 1: time job and change my number. Yeah, good advice clos
- 20:48Speaker 1: always Yeah, all right, thank you. We're moving on. Coming
- 20:52Speaker 1: up next, Reverend Motown digging def jam with today's church
- 20:55Speaker 1: complaints and announcements. Right after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Miss Anna's
- 21:04Speaker 1: standing by with national news and in entertainment news. The
- 21:07Speaker 1: seventy eighth annual Golden Globes of Golden Globe Awards were
- 21:11Speaker 1: last night. We'll talk about some of the nominees and
- 21:13Speaker 1: the winners, and Carla is here with today's music news
- 21:16Speaker 1: about de Angelo. Did you see that. We'll talk about
- 21:19Speaker 1: all of these stories at the top of the hour,
- 21:21Speaker 1: but right now it's Monday, and it's time for church
- 21:24Speaker 1: complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon Depth jam Google glorious
- 21:32Speaker 1: montification overbariousness. We arbariousness is what I see, Ovarious, We don't.
- 21:45Speaker 1: It is over your head deep an in addiction, rely
- 21:54Speaker 1: own it all right, stestimoniously, let us be again with
- 22:00Speaker 1: church complaints. All right, Pastor, we got some issues here.
- 22:05Speaker 1: For some reason, we have a few members that have
- 22:07Speaker 1: started a gorilla glue ministry. Apparently they are gluing things
- 22:12Speaker 1: that that belonged to members who they say are not
- 22:16Speaker 1: walking with the lawd They glued to us the Lauren
- 22:18Speaker 1: cemetaries front and backdoor shut because they say she got
- 22:22Speaker 1: me in going in and out of there? What do
- 22:24Speaker 1: you want to do past this woman is glued into
- 22:28Speaker 1: her house right now? Oh, quite a few minutes that
- 22:33Speaker 1: we're gonna deny. The gorilla glue ministry is not a
- 22:38Speaker 1: part of the jp JJ, So let's just ignore that
- 22:41Speaker 1: and move forward thinking NIXT all right, all right, your
- 22:46Speaker 1: own line members from Texas said, because of the bad
- 22:49Speaker 1: weather in Texas, they're not gonna be sending nothing for
- 22:52Speaker 1: a while. That's your cow. They're not gonna be sitting
- 22:56Speaker 1: in what for while they're not gonna be sending any
- 22:59Speaker 1: money in it ties But while we won't be will
- 23:03Speaker 1: will you know we're praying for you, but we won't
- 23:05Speaker 1: be zooming for you. Well, we can't just keep them
- 23:09Speaker 1: off of zoom pass. Mean, I just said, we're gonna
- 23:13Speaker 1: pray for you, but we're not gonna zoom for you. Right,
- 23:21Speaker 1: Prayer changes things, but should us off with it? Okay?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Well that leads me to this next situation. It says
- 23:30Speaker 1: why most of the country was freezing. It's been reported
- 23:35Speaker 1: that you and your family were in Jamaica. We have
- 23:39Speaker 1: pictures of you in a pineapple print shirt. Short set
- 23:43Speaker 1: is what it was. With open toe sounds and a
- 23:46Speaker 1: big fruited drinking and umbrelling your drink? What say you
- 23:51Speaker 1: to that? Exactly? I'm not from textas, but what what
- 24:04Speaker 1: everybody else was going through? Yes? I wore okay? And
- 24:10Speaker 1: you with your family? And did you have an umbrella
- 24:12Speaker 1: in your drink? Yes? I was in Yes I d okay?
- 24:18Speaker 1: Did you have on the pineapple print sharp set a
- 24:22Speaker 1: brand new male order from city Slickers in Detroit? Now?
- 24:31Speaker 1: So pineapples on the back was pink, pink pineapple? Okay?
- 24:37Speaker 1: So you don't think that it's it's disrespectful that you
- 24:41Speaker 1: got members going through some things and you in Jamaica
- 24:44Speaker 1: in flip flops and pink short sets and fruity drinks.
- 24:48Speaker 1: You don't think that. Do you have weather channel? Yes?
- 24:54Speaker 1: I do have the weather channel? All right, dud like,
- 25:00Speaker 1: ain't like you didn't hear. Look it ain't like you
- 25:04Speaker 1: ain't here with coming snow. Don't just show up. I
- 25:11Speaker 1: understand there's a chance or participation. Okay. The problem is
- 25:21Speaker 1: you are somewhere celebrating and having a tan that vacation.
- 25:24Speaker 1: That's the problem. You want to lead back example past.
- 25:28Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Cruise kind of situation. That's what all.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Don't compare me to Ted crew say something about my wife.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I'm kicking your half to Mexicos. These are complaint just combine,
- 25:47Speaker 1: all right there, Well, you know, just don't don't worry
- 25:49Speaker 1: about me and Ted crewise I don't know him. Okay,
- 25:55Speaker 1: all right, let's just move on. But in the future,
- 26:00Speaker 1: the congregation would like to know when you're going out
- 26:02Speaker 1: of town, are gonna be leaving the country. That's what
- 26:05Speaker 1: we need to know so much. Fine, the men have
- 26:09Speaker 1: decided an online fashion show. Alright, they will not pick
- 26:13Speaker 1: a color, uh, but they want to give you the
- 26:16Speaker 1: honor to pick the first Eastern color. So we would
- 26:19Speaker 1: like to know what your color will be, if you
- 26:21Speaker 1: can let us know what that is. Oh, probably gold, gold, gold, gold,
- 26:38Speaker 1: more more like a sunshine yellow sunshine, yeah, flash gold.
- 26:44Speaker 1: All right, that's pretty broad, but we'll work with it.
- 26:48Speaker 1: We'll work around its. Alright, here's a problem. Brother Cedric Doomas,
- 26:53Speaker 1: who was blind, dropped his eye biagrappills on the flow
- 26:57Speaker 1: in his house. His sin I dog, but it eight
- 27:01Speaker 1: one and has been all over the neighborhood visiting the
- 27:03Speaker 1: female dogs. My brother Cedric says he wants a new doubt.
- 27:08Speaker 1: He don't want no hole leading him around. A new
- 27:11Speaker 1: dog that costs eight hundred and fifty dollars. He needs
- 27:14Speaker 1: the church's help pass. He don't need no new dogs.
- 27:19Speaker 1: He needed to go in to collect something in published
- 27:24Speaker 1: and I'm going to show somebody donate a damn dog
- 27:30Speaker 1: all that screw and that dog didn't do My dog.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Bell got a hold of some viagra appeals and I
- 27:40Speaker 1: noticed squirrels all over the neighborhood with triggering it. What
- 27:48Speaker 1: a little cross pollinating there, I said, not going, don't
- 27:54Speaker 1: fast that wrecking hill on. Everything running all right? As
- 28:00Speaker 1: you know, Pastor, brother Aubred died last week. We were
- 28:03Speaker 1: told that he got a fishbone stuck in his throat
- 28:07Speaker 1: and couldn't get it out. Now he was the problem.
- 28:10Speaker 1: He was a white bread. White bread would have solved
- 28:14Speaker 1: that right right when you go right now, Pastor, he
- 28:19Speaker 1: was on probation. The ankle bracelet went off at the
- 28:23Speaker 1: funeral home on his leg and set off all the
- 28:26Speaker 1: fire lawns. This was a funeral, and that was a
- 28:29Speaker 1: funeral in the process. By this was going out and
- 28:31Speaker 1: the family is furious. They're blaming it on you because
- 28:34Speaker 1: you pushed his funeral back and didn't have it at
- 28:37Speaker 1: the time that it was scheduled. Now they're looking for
- 28:39Speaker 1: eight hundred fifty dollars for the burial and for the funeral.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Coust from the Ancle Bridish didn't go out because the
- 28:46Speaker 1: funeral got pushed back. The ankle bracelet got put off
- 28:51Speaker 1: because they asked me to preach the sermon two blocks
- 28:55Speaker 1: out of the out of the zoom. If he had
- 29:00Speaker 1: come up to the church they were down at the Coney,
- 29:03Speaker 1: he can go down. And with that said, they want
- 29:07Speaker 1: to go to a Franci funeral home. Now all of
- 29:09Speaker 1: a sudden, Lawndon went all the news is naxt entertainment
- 29:13Speaker 1: and national right after a funeral etyway you're listening in
- 29:25Speaker 1: trending news. Last night was the seventy eighth annual Golden

- 30:57Speaker 1: what boy get out of here? He was real cool, man,
- 31:01Speaker 1: He was real cool. The movie man was just it
- 31:08Speaker 1: was enlightening for me because of my brother's involvement. Back then,
- 31:12Speaker 1: my brothers, my youngest brothers eleven years older than me,
- 31:15Speaker 1: so you know, sixty six sixty eight. All of that
- 31:20Speaker 1: my brothers was active, man active, and I was good
- 31:23Speaker 1: for me learning because I didn't really understand how Fred
- 31:26Speaker 1: Hampton died asleep. But then I fought a movement and
- 31:31Speaker 1: it really showed what happened to him. But how the
- 31:36Speaker 1: Black Panther Party got infiltrated, and once again how the government,
- 31:41Speaker 1: the damn FBI changed the narrative of what the organization was.
- 31:46Speaker 1: They made them the greatest threat to American demark democracy
- 31:51Speaker 1: when they were really feeding kids and helping out the community.
- 31:54Speaker 1: They were community organization to start out with your they
- 31:57Speaker 1: were they were deep, man. But when the police artists
- 31:59Speaker 1: are attacking them, they fall back right them folks. Man,
- 32:04Speaker 1: they've been They've been them folks for a long time. Man,
- 32:07Speaker 1: they don't man. Okay, well, okay, speaking of the government,
- 32:15Speaker 1: when you get a chance, watched Us versus Billie Holiday excellent,
- 32:22Speaker 1: excellent movie. Really really you'll love it, job, you'll love it.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Andrew Day Yeah, all right, uh time now and other
- 32:30Speaker 1: entertainment news. Would you say, Jay, everybody hates Chris. I
- 32:35Speaker 1: don't know the young man's name. I just call him
- 32:37Speaker 1: everybody hates Chris. He was in it we're moving on now. Jay,
- 32:44Speaker 1: Carla is here Today's music News. What you got, Carla, Well,
- 32:49Speaker 1: first I was trying to get Tommy. Tommy, you were
- 32:51Speaker 1: saying something when Steve was telling us about the movie
- 32:53Speaker 1: Judas and Messiah. What were you saying? Oh? I said
- 32:55Speaker 1: his speech was very good last night. At first his
- 33:00Speaker 1: stuff was muted, you know, because everybody can't work his own,
- 33:03Speaker 1: so it was muted. He had done the whole dog
- 33:06Speaker 1: on speech, and then finally realized that I think that
- 33:09Speaker 1: he was on mute, and he came back and and
- 33:11Speaker 1: gave it too. It was a good speech though. He
- 33:13Speaker 1: was good. He was real good, cool, cool, and I
- 33:15Speaker 1: just quickly wanted to say DeAngelo did his thing on
- 33:17Speaker 1: the versus h It wasn't even a battle. So we'll
- 33:20Speaker 1: talk about it later in the show. You're listening to
- 33:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve Cohen introduced your
- 33:27Speaker 1: friend that you hired for this show. Well, you're gonna
- 33:33Speaker 1: make it like y'all don't really want me. Oh no,
- 33:36Speaker 1: that's not it. When you're just here we go. Yeah, y'all, y'all,
- 33:42Speaker 1: I got this hill. You're dark, but they ain't nine.
- 33:45Speaker 1: You ain't am We don't want you here yet. We
- 33:49Speaker 1: don't know when you're gonna be here. No, gentlemen, he
- 33:53Speaker 1: here today, ja Okay, just so you know, And I'm
- 33:59Speaker 1: encouraging every body. I got my COVID shot the vaccine yesterday. Yeah,
- 34:08Speaker 1: the vaccine, I got it yesterday. But I want to
- 34:10Speaker 1: talk to the scientists who put this together because y'all
- 34:15Speaker 1: got this vaccine in less than a year. Boom, three companies, boom,
- 34:20Speaker 1: they're making it. We got so much we don't even
- 34:23Speaker 1: need anymore at someplace. But anyway, I talked a lot
- 34:26Speaker 1: of sick people over the weekend, and they they wanted
- 34:29Speaker 1: to talk to these same damn scientists and work on
- 34:32Speaker 1: some of these other things like gout, sleep, apnea, blurred vision, arthritis, cancer, loopus, loopus.
- 34:43Speaker 1: People have been suffering with us for years, okay, for years,
- 34:46Speaker 1: and you knocked this out in less than the years. Now,
- 34:50Speaker 1: get your ass back in there. We're not ed. We
- 34:52Speaker 1: need some work with that. Come up with something. Damn
- 34:55Speaker 1: it a ls. These people have been having us for years.
- 35:00Speaker 1: You ain't got a damn thing, but you knocked this
- 35:02Speaker 1: out in a year. One year, a year, okay. And
- 35:06Speaker 1: for the ladies, I'm speaking for everybody hot flashes. You
- 35:10Speaker 1: ain't gotten more in there for hot nothing, nothing for
- 35:16Speaker 1: the night. You ain't got a damn thing for night sweats.
- 35:20Speaker 1: You ain't got nothing. Y'all can't make nam for night sweats.
- 35:26Speaker 1: And it's constantly going to the bathroom. Nothing, nothing at all.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I'm talking about bipolar stuppitity. Get your ass back in
- 35:38Speaker 1: the laboratory, you know, and there's a lot of y'all.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I saw you when you came out for truck when
- 35:43Speaker 1: he was speaking with forty seven doctors and scientists. Get
- 35:47Speaker 1: your ass back in there and concentrate on some of
- 35:51Speaker 1: the damn diseases that we've been suffering with for a
- 35:54Speaker 1: long damn time. And a lady called me with us
- 35:58Speaker 1: for last for night least extremely draft, extremely draft, They say,
- 36:05Speaker 1: can you help us? Which get back in this, back
- 36:14Speaker 1: in this. Don't let none get in the way of
- 36:17Speaker 1: the joke. I actually agree with ninety nine point ninewe
- 36:22Speaker 1: off with the last one. All right, coming up more
- 36:27Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 36:31Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, So, Steve,
- 36:36Speaker 1: you were a special guest on Jimmy Kimmel live. Uh.
- 36:40Speaker 1: And then Jimmy asked you about your thoughts on your
- 36:43Speaker 1: daughter Laurie dating Michael B. Jordan. Here's what you had
- 36:47Speaker 1: to say. Take a listen. You think it's a good
- 36:51Speaker 1: idea for someone who's dating one of your daughters to
- 36:54Speaker 1: first read your relationship books. I think it's better if
- 36:58Speaker 1: my daughters would read the damn book. That would be
- 37:02Speaker 1: the smarter movie, you know. Oh look man, you know
- 37:06Speaker 1: when your kids grow up, you know, look, man, they
- 37:08Speaker 1: can make decisions on their own. I just so, I'm
- 37:11Speaker 1: just happy that I can at least approve of one.
- 37:17Speaker 1: You didn't approve of the previous suitors. Nothing ever, pure hatred.
- 37:29Speaker 1: That's basically what you told us. And you're trending. Yes, yes, sir, Yes, sir,
- 37:40Speaker 1: had a pretty good time on Jimmy Kimmel, some funny stuff.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Uh huh. Yeah. So you know we gotta ask your advice.
- 37:51Speaker 1: You know, what do you have? What can you tell dads?
- 37:54Speaker 1: I should say out there who listening and her their
- 37:56Speaker 1: daughters are dating you know guys that they they wouldn't
- 38:00Speaker 1: pick for them. Let's put it like that. If their
- 38:02Speaker 1: daughters are just I mean, let me just keep talking
- 38:04Speaker 1: to him that's all you can do. You gotta keep
- 38:07Speaker 1: talking to him. You know, you gotta understand that when
- 38:13Speaker 1: your daughters get out there, man, they are subject to
- 38:15Speaker 1: the game. And if they've been raised and protected and
- 38:20Speaker 1: sheltered and had uh you know, lives where they not
- 38:25Speaker 1: really street people, then they get out there amongst the street,
- 38:29Speaker 1: then you know, man, that they can fall prey to it,
- 38:32Speaker 1: you know, And then you think, you know, you know,
- 38:34Speaker 1: you just gotta you just keep praying and talking to
- 38:36Speaker 1: them and and just keep don't ever just go along
- 38:39Speaker 1: with it. That's the one thing I never do. If
- 38:42Speaker 1: you make a bad decision, every time you see me,
- 38:45Speaker 1: just hide from me because I'm bringing up the bad
- 38:50Speaker 1: ass decision. You can glue that. Oh no no, no
- 38:54Speaker 1: no no no no no no no no no no
- 38:56Speaker 1: no no no no no no no. Yeah. I mean,
- 39:00Speaker 1: you know, you can say what you want to say.
- 39:02Speaker 1: You could be irritated with me, but I'm not gonna
- 39:05Speaker 1: be there. I'm gonna be the constant voice of he
- 39:08Speaker 1: ain't sugar honey iced tea. And I told you he
- 39:13Speaker 1: ain't sugar honey iced tea. And I told you. Now,
- 39:17Speaker 1: I don't know what he said, but I told you
- 39:22Speaker 1: he ain't sugar honey iced tea. Yeah, A lot of
- 39:30Speaker 1: times that draw that makes them pull closer to that
- 39:34Speaker 1: person when you know what, I disagree with that, I
- 39:37Speaker 1: disagree with that whole thing. It pushes them closer. I disagree.
- 39:41Speaker 1: It can happen that way. But if you but if
- 39:44Speaker 1: you put sound reasoning behind it, and you keep talking
- 39:49Speaker 1: to them about the right thing for them, not so
- 39:52Speaker 1: much against the other person, but if you keep talking
- 39:56Speaker 1: about what's right for them. See, once you start dogging
- 40:01Speaker 1: their decision, then you're gonna have a problem. But if
- 40:05Speaker 1: you dog their decision for themselves, what about you? I
- 40:09Speaker 1: got what he seeing you. But let's keep talking about
- 40:12Speaker 1: what he what you win? Yeah, Now that's the way
- 40:16Speaker 1: to do it makes sense. That's the way to do it,
- 40:18Speaker 1: as opposed to yees talking about the guy because that
- 40:21Speaker 1: will push him closer to it. But I like what
- 40:24Speaker 1: you just said. Well you know I've lived this. Yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 1: my daughters go from thirty eight down to twenty four.
- 40:35Speaker 1: So I've lived this, and what I've had to learn
- 40:38Speaker 1: was not to attack the guy, but to attack them
- 40:43Speaker 1: for what's best for them. Yeah, what do you win?
- 40:47Speaker 1: I got see what he wins? Right. You know, he
- 40:52Speaker 1: get this wonderful trinket on his arm. He gets to
- 40:54Speaker 1: walk around, he flexing. But at the end of the day,
- 40:56Speaker 1: what do you win? And that's how you got to
- 40:59Speaker 1: talk to him? Man, I just I stay on a count.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I don't let him. I don't give a damn. I've
- 41:04Speaker 1: seen him turn another way I go. I know how
- 41:06Speaker 1: to go around. Meet you ass Come on Dad of
- 41:10Speaker 1: the Year with dyea. Where are you going to the kitchen?
- 41:19Speaker 1: It's molding one interest into that kitchen. I'll be round now,
- 41:22Speaker 1: all right, coming up next and nevview with the prank
- 41:25Speaker 1: phone call. Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey
- 41:29Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today,
- 41:36Speaker 1: the subject my mama hooked me up with her friend.
- 41:41Speaker 1: We'll get into that a little later, but right now
- 41:44Speaker 1: the nephew is here with the today's prank phone call.
- 41:48Speaker 1: What you got for us? Ne re dipped? Re dipped,
- 41:53Speaker 1: that's the name of the prank. Let's go cat dog. Hello, Hello,
- 41:57Speaker 1: I'm trying to beat ts to hit this baster Henry. Oh,
- 42:02Speaker 1: how are you doing, sir? You know as to a
- 42:04Speaker 1: greater New Hope Baptist Right. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 42:07Speaker 1: am my answers cold. My name is Patrick, my name
- 42:11Speaker 1: Patrick Davis. Uh ain't doing there? How you doing, sir?
- 42:16Speaker 1: I went there to your church a bottom about two
- 42:19Speaker 1: and a half years ago. I went there and me, yeah,
- 42:23Speaker 1: we got our kids baptized there at your Are you
- 42:26Speaker 1: coming back to us or are you? Uh uh what's
- 42:30Speaker 1: your current church? Well we we haven't been in a minute,
- 42:34Speaker 1: you know. But you you you baptized my son and
- 42:37Speaker 1: my daughter Kareem. You baptized them. I don't I don't
- 42:42Speaker 1: think you. I mean, I'm sure you do a lot
- 42:43Speaker 1: of people, but yeah, I was about to say I
- 42:45Speaker 1: do a lot. I can't really pinpoint a name like that.
- 42:48Speaker 1: You said it was about a couple of years ago,
- 42:50Speaker 1: two three, at between two and between two and three
- 42:53Speaker 1: years ago. You you backtied my little girl and my son.
- 42:56Speaker 1: O God, I bless on that. I'm I'm glad I
- 42:58Speaker 1: was able to do that service. I was wondering how
- 43:01Speaker 1: did you get my number? Using anything like this usually
- 43:05Speaker 1: get handled with the church, you know, one of my
- 43:07Speaker 1: deacons or my secretary, but uh uh, you um call
- 43:12Speaker 1: the church and they gave you my number. Um, this
- 43:16Speaker 1: this guy at the church, let me see, his name
- 43:18Speaker 1: is Dogs, brother brother Dobs. Brother, brother Dob gave you
- 43:24Speaker 1: my phone number, my information, Brother Dogs. I got this
- 43:27Speaker 1: from brother Dogs that I could reach you. Now you
- 43:31Speaker 1: know him right, he's one of your deacons. Brother. I
- 43:33Speaker 1: t that's a good man right there. I know him
- 43:36Speaker 1: many years. Okay for him. My reason for wanting to
- 43:39Speaker 1: talk to you directly. Okay, Like I said, you baptized
- 43:43Speaker 1: my little girl Taylor and my son Kareem. What baptizing
- 43:47Speaker 1: exposed to be? You pleasing them and you watching them?
- 43:52Speaker 1: Hear my problem? Here's my problems. You baptize my kids,
- 43:56Speaker 1: but there ain't nothing saying they they grade still bad,
- 44:00Speaker 1: still didn't cobeeding it. I don't see where your day look.
- 44:06Speaker 1: But if you don't him, if you just let me,
- 44:09Speaker 1: I don't see where your baptid has done anything. And
- 44:14Speaker 1: I don't know that I spent when I was there.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I want that money back now now, Oh okay, now
- 44:19Speaker 1: you excuse me. I'm not sure. I think you know
- 44:22Speaker 1: we need to stop this madness right now because you're
- 44:25Speaker 1: talking about you money back baptime. I'm like with baptis
- 44:29Speaker 1: your kids. I've been at this church for many years,
- 44:32Speaker 1: so I won't doubt that I'm probably the path to
- 44:35Speaker 1: you you're looking for. But I just don't understand what
- 44:39Speaker 1: you're trying to get at here. But the baptism did
- 44:42Speaker 1: I'm saying you're supposed to when when when people get baptied,
- 44:45Speaker 1: it's supposed to change them a cleansing. Okay, I see, yeah,
- 44:50Speaker 1: it's pleasing them. But well, if my kids let me,
- 44:53Speaker 1: let me ask you. I'm just trying to brother. I'm
- 44:56Speaker 1: just just trying to get to the bottom of this,
- 44:57Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Because she's like, I don't
- 44:59Speaker 1: when we get my church abuse the handles, I can't
- 45:01Speaker 1: understand how you got my numbers. The bottom of it is, yo, Yo,
- 45:06Speaker 1: baptizing ain't doing nothing. My kids were still grade band.
- 45:11Speaker 1: They still dis over that why they haven't been coming
- 45:14Speaker 1: to church. You said you're not going to any congregation
- 45:17Speaker 1: may but you guys need to come on back to
- 45:19Speaker 1: church sitting or some sermons. You know. I even work
- 45:21Speaker 1: with your one on one, but um, I can't. I
- 45:25Speaker 1: can't do nothing about the grades in school. I mean
- 45:28Speaker 1: and and and and overall that when you when you have, Damn,
- 45:33Speaker 1: I should see a change in them, and I don't
- 45:36Speaker 1: see a change. But all the time that I was
- 45:38Speaker 1: going to your church, I'm paying for these tithes. Well,
- 45:41Speaker 1: I'm not getting anything, hey man. At the end of
- 45:44Speaker 1: the day, path hand, I want my money back. That's
- 45:46Speaker 1: what That's what we have. That's brother David. That's not
- 45:50Speaker 1: how it worked. Brother. You hit you understand, I'm not.
- 45:53Speaker 1: I'm not trying to raise my voice at you. But
- 45:55Speaker 1: you y'all over the y'a all over the place. You
- 45:57Speaker 1: want money back. I don't understand. What what can I
- 45:59Speaker 1: do for I can tell you now, know you what
- 46:01Speaker 1: you can do my kids and I hadn't got a
- 46:03Speaker 1: baptized over there with you all that time. I want
- 46:06Speaker 1: the your church. I'm paying kne tis, paying knee tis,
- 46:08Speaker 1: paying kni ta and I get my kids baptized. And
- 46:12Speaker 1: but the hid is gonna have nothing to do with
- 46:14Speaker 1: the baptism. The time I had something to do with
- 46:17Speaker 1: all the path I spit over there and I'm not
- 46:20Speaker 1: getting anything. And that's what you call all in the world.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Am I gonna figure out how much Kaji came? I
- 46:27Speaker 1: know it. Think about that and I know exactly no no, no, no,
- 46:31Speaker 1: you're houlding my home with this nonsense. You're not even
- 46:33Speaker 1: a number of congregation, and I just don't like it.
- 46:37Speaker 1: So who do you think your boy said, just because
- 46:41Speaker 1: you're gonna you're a man of the trouble. Don't mean
- 46:44Speaker 1: that that's because I'm a man raised God. Don't mean
- 46:46Speaker 1: I can't cut your out. You understand that. Brother. If
- 46:49Speaker 1: it's something you need to deal with, you need to
- 46:50Speaker 1: talk to people at the church. Why do I need
- 46:52Speaker 1: to talk for brother dogs when I'm talking to I'm
- 46:56Speaker 1: to the problem right now. You're a problem, bass, Oh
- 46:58Speaker 1: I'm a problem. I spent a bunch of Tide money
- 47:01Speaker 1: and I won't I know exactly how much I spent
- 47:04Speaker 1: over there, and I want my money back. Brother, about that?
- 47:07Speaker 1: That's what I care about? Your time? So that I said, Yo,
- 47:11Speaker 1: Tid want me to spell it out? Oh, well, here,
- 47:16Speaker 1: kids spell out. I bet they know how to spell it. Oh,
- 47:20Speaker 1: don't be calling me about no, damn behave your issues
- 47:22Speaker 1: with your kids your back, Tid. That's the question you
- 47:25Speaker 1: need to be asking. Is you living your life? Think
- 47:27Speaker 1: to five? Huh? You know what? You know what? Brothers?
- 47:32Speaker 1: I didn't got out beside myself and I'm sorry, brother,
- 47:35Speaker 1: I should not be using five language skins. I think
- 47:38Speaker 1: what's going on. We need to we need to get
- 47:40Speaker 1: you and your children, your wife come on down the
- 47:42Speaker 1: service on Sunday. I will sit with you as long
- 47:44Speaker 1: as I can't. I truly, I truly think counseling and
- 47:47Speaker 1: talk is the only way out of it. We should
- 47:50Speaker 1: not be fighting on this phone now. Once again, I
- 47:55Speaker 1: hope you accept my apology for my language. Now, can
- 47:59Speaker 1: I get some go ahead? Son? I can hear you, okay.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Brother Dobbs tells me that you and him are together,
- 48:06Speaker 1: y'all together some mornings having coffee. You and brother dogs
- 48:09Speaker 1: are every morning that I'm not either function or doing
- 48:14Speaker 1: something for the building meetness to the church. Yes, you definitely.
- 48:17Speaker 1: He's a good brother. Like I told you, I knew
- 48:19Speaker 1: him for many years, right right, And he's said that
- 48:21Speaker 1: when y'all having coffee, that y'all y'all listening to the radio.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Is that right? Yeah? Well, I suppose y'all be listening
- 48:30Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah, it's always on the radio. Hey,
- 48:37Speaker 1: fast was so fun. This is this is Nephew timming
- 48:40Speaker 1: Man from the Steve Harvey Martin's your brother Dogs just
- 48:42Speaker 1: got me to break phone call. You know. Uh now
- 48:52Speaker 1: the brother Dogs knew about this. He's one game in
- 48:54Speaker 1: your number. I'm too scared to cuss another word thing
- 49:01Speaker 1: out of my character. I didn't think I didn't did
- 49:03Speaker 1: enough for a life talking to that. I'm gonna tell
- 49:07Speaker 1: you right now, I'm probably these really didn't come. And
- 49:10Speaker 1: I tell my congression all the time. I even slip up,
- 49:13Speaker 1: so I think it would only be ready to let
- 49:19Speaker 1: me ask you something, man, what is the baddest And
- 49:21Speaker 1: I'm talking about the band at this twenty oh man,
- 49:23Speaker 1: you already know, man, the Steve Harvey more than show
- 49:28Speaker 1: here you go, huh huh? Really what you're going straight?
- 49:41Speaker 1: But you know what, though, he said something that was
- 49:43Speaker 1: really interesting to me. He said, he tells his conversation
- 49:46Speaker 1: that you know, he slips off from time to time.
- 49:49Speaker 1: I appreciate passes, just honest like that, because you're human.
- 49:52Speaker 1: You know, passes are not super beings. Passes knee forgiveness
- 49:56Speaker 1: and everything like everybody else. But I do appreciate he
- 50:00Speaker 1: pulled it off. But I was just thinking how many
- 50:03Speaker 1: times I slip up and cuss and I really can't
- 50:07Speaker 1: lit times you don't really slip, you're deliberately no. Oh no, no,
- 50:12Speaker 1: I fire's mine off. As a part of the sentence,
- 50:16Speaker 1: can I fire one off? What started on? Baby stared

- 51:04Speaker 1: That's for you. Jake, bug it up and hold on tight.
- 51:07Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is to straw
- 51:08Speaker 1: up every letter. Thank you enough you subject. My mama
- 51:12Speaker 1: hooked me up with her friend. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm
- 51:15Speaker 1: a forty year old black female, and I'm an office
- 51:18Speaker 1: manager at a small business. The owner of the business
- 51:21Speaker 1: is an old family friend of my parents. He's getting
- 51:24Speaker 1: pretty old and has had some health issues, so his
- 51:27Speaker 1: twin brother is helping out with the day to day operations.
- 51:31Speaker 1: This older gentleman is in his seventies and he's very
- 51:34Speaker 1: sweet and pleasant. He comes to work overdressed daily in
- 51:38Speaker 1: his suit and tie and cologne. He started bringing me
- 51:42Speaker 1: lunch from home, and he's a great cook. He told
- 51:45Speaker 1: me that he did most of the cooking for his wife,
- 51:48Speaker 1: and since she's passed away, he doesn't have anyone to
- 51:51Speaker 1: cook for. The longer he stays and helps out, the
- 51:54Speaker 1: more he talks about missing his wife. He's been inappropriate
- 51:58Speaker 1: a couple of times, telling he misses holding a woman,
- 52:01Speaker 1: and another time he told me he loves big breasts
- 52:04Speaker 1: on a woman. I have big breasts, so I've started
- 52:08Speaker 1: dressing more conservatively. On my birthday last week, he insisted
- 52:12Speaker 1: on taking me to lunch and I went. I was
- 52:15Speaker 1: a little uncomfortable because it seemed like we were on
- 52:18Speaker 1: a real date. I told my parents about lunch, and
- 52:22Speaker 1: my dad told me to be aware of him because
- 52:25Speaker 1: my mom is trying to hook us up. My mom
- 52:27Speaker 1: was smirking and said he's a great man and always
- 52:30Speaker 1: has been. She said he's kind and wealthy, and he's
- 52:34Speaker 1: crazy about me. My dad rolled his eyes and walked away.
- 52:38Speaker 1: My mom went on to say that the old man
- 52:40Speaker 1: told them I was just his type, and my dad
- 52:43Speaker 1: didn't like it, but agreed that I am old enough
- 52:46Speaker 1: to decide what I want to do. I told my
- 52:49Speaker 1: mom there's no way I'm dating their friend, and I'm
- 52:52Speaker 1: not physically attracted to him at all. I told my
- 52:55Speaker 1: mom to tell him I'm not interested. She told me
- 52:58Speaker 1: to tell him, tell him myself. How can I politely
- 53:02Speaker 1: tell this old man that I don't want him. Well,
- 53:07Speaker 1: I think your mom's right. You should tell him yourself.
- 53:09Speaker 1: That way, there could be no reason for any misinterpretation
- 53:13Speaker 1: or any mistakes or any of that. He will get it.
- 53:16Speaker 1: He will understand. And I got to ask you, has
- 53:19Speaker 1: this ever come up between the two of you in conversation,
- 53:23Speaker 1: because so far I don't think it has. You didn't
- 53:26Speaker 1: mention in the letter that he wants to, you know,
- 53:30Speaker 1: take it any further than this or anything. But we all,
- 53:34Speaker 1: including your parents, we all know that he is very
- 53:38Speaker 1: much interested in you, and at seventy probably does want
- 53:43Speaker 1: to take it to the next level. Since he said
- 53:44Speaker 1: you're you're his kind of woman. He wants to marry you,
- 53:47Speaker 1: he wants to get more serious with you. So to
- 53:50Speaker 1: politely let him know. And I appreciate you said politely.
- 53:55Speaker 1: You know, you don't want to crush the guy, so
- 53:58Speaker 1: you know, to tell him you're not interested. Did The
- 54:00Speaker 1: way to do it is just tell him, you know,
- 54:03Speaker 1: tell him nicely and clearly, make it clean. You know,
- 54:07Speaker 1: I don't want to lead you on. I like you,
- 54:10Speaker 1: you're a nice guy, but I'm you know, I'm not interested.
- 54:15Speaker 1: You cannot keep going out with him and keep you know,
- 54:17Speaker 1: coming in close contact with with him without him thinking that,
- 54:21Speaker 1: you know, something else's it might have a chance of
- 54:25Speaker 1: going on. You know, he might already be thinking that
- 54:29Speaker 1: because there's no telling what your what your mom has
- 54:32Speaker 1: told him anyway, because she's the one that's secretly trying
- 54:35Speaker 1: to hook you guys up, according to your dad. So
- 54:38Speaker 1: I think you know, and it's okay. If you're not interested,
- 54:42Speaker 1: you don't have to settle. You do not have to settle,
- 54:44Speaker 1: especially if you're not physically attracted to him. And that's
- 54:48Speaker 1: my answer. So just tell him nicely. Tell him nicely,
- 54:51Speaker 1: you can get out of it. He'll understand, Steve, Hopefully
- 54:57Speaker 1: you don't want to crush him. Oh he's seven. He'd
- 55:01Speaker 1: be all right. He's had way more crushing news and
- 55:05Speaker 1: his life stopped thinking. Y'all need to stop thinking that
- 55:08Speaker 1: old people to these fragile individuals. Old people know how
- 55:12Speaker 1: to suffer. Old people. Man, you, they're good at it.
- 55:18Speaker 1: He's seventy colored, only water fountains, all types of stuff,
- 55:23Speaker 1: you mbout. I don't want to date you an he'll
- 55:27Speaker 1: be fine, But let me tell you a couple of things. Now,
- 55:30Speaker 1: you farty. You the office manager a small business that's
- 55:35Speaker 1: owned by older friend of your parents. Right now. He's
- 55:40Speaker 1: getting old, got some health issues. So he got a
- 55:43Speaker 1: twin brother well, which mean his can't be that far behind.
- 55:51Speaker 1: You know, they is twins. Now you know how much
- 55:57Speaker 1: long you think he gonna be hell fied? But in
- 56:01Speaker 1: the words of my daddy, any day now, oh wow.
- 56:07Speaker 1: You know the older gentleman is in his seventies. He's
- 56:10Speaker 1: very sweet and pleasant. He comes. He works overdressed daily
- 56:14Speaker 1: in his suiting time cologne. He ain't over dressed. The
- 56:18Speaker 1: old player why is he overdressed? He the head of
- 56:22Speaker 1: the company. He ain't overdressed. He coming fire you all this.
- 56:30Speaker 1: He started bringing me lunch from home. And he's a
- 56:33Speaker 1: great cook. He told me he did most of the
- 56:35Speaker 1: cooking for his wife. Since she passed, he doesn't have
- 56:37Speaker 1: anybody to cook for. So you win. So now he
- 56:41Speaker 1: coming to work dressed up and he bringing you lunch.
- 56:45Speaker 1: The more he talks about missing his wife, the longer
- 56:47Speaker 1: he stayed. He's been appropriate a couple of times, telling
- 56:50Speaker 1: me he missed holding a woman. And another time he
- 56:53Speaker 1: told me he loves big breasts on the woman he loves. Yeah, inappropriate,
- 56:57Speaker 1: and he says he loves he loves he misholding a woman.
- 57:01Speaker 1: He loves big breasts on a woman. Then the right
- 57:04Speaker 1: of the letter says, I have big breast. You know that.
- 57:08Speaker 1: That's why I said it. Why do you think you're
- 57:10Speaker 1: getting that food to keep him? Don't you think he's
- 57:16Speaker 1: bringing it food down here so he can watch you
- 57:19Speaker 1: lean over and dip in it. That what I'll tell
- 57:24Speaker 1: you the possible re enactment when we come back. Yeah,
- 57:27Speaker 1: we have part we'll have part two of Steve's response
- 57:30Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after. My mama hooked
- 57:32Speaker 1: me up with her friend is the subject. We'll be
- 57:35Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 57:41Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject, my mama hooked
- 57:44Speaker 1: me up with her friend. Well, your mama and then
- 57:47Speaker 1: hooked you up with this older gentleman that's a friend
- 57:49Speaker 1: of das. It has a company because you'd office manage
- 57:52Speaker 1: it out there, but he didn't. Got some health fishues
- 57:55Speaker 1: in sick and his twin brothers helping out for the
- 57:58Speaker 1: day there the operation. Like I said earlier, we don't
- 58:01Speaker 1: know how much longer there gone. Last day are twins now,
- 58:05Speaker 1: you know, same DNA, so he's probably gonna have some
- 58:09Speaker 1: health fish. You're coming up shortly. He's in his seventies.
- 58:13Speaker 1: He's very sweet and pleasant. He comes in to work overdressed.
- 58:16Speaker 1: That's because he's hitting on you. He bringed lunch because
- 58:19Speaker 1: he missed cooking for his wife. He could cook. He's
- 58:22Speaker 1: been inappropriate a couple of times, saying that he misses
- 58:25Speaker 1: holding a woman and all. He likes women with big breasts.
- 58:28Speaker 1: You have big breasts, so you have started dressing more
- 58:32Speaker 1: conservatively on your birthday last week, he insisted on taking
- 58:38Speaker 1: me to lunch, and I went I was a little
- 58:40Speaker 1: uncomfortable because it seemed like we were on a real date. Well,
- 58:43Speaker 1: what you thought it was? Let me take you out
- 58:47Speaker 1: for my birthday? Come on, now, he'd have told you
- 58:50Speaker 1: he liked big breass. Ain't you got him? He cooking
- 58:54Speaker 1: for you, Ain't you eating it? He dressing up? Ain't
- 58:58Speaker 1: you noticed it? My mama was smirking. It's I was
- 59:03Speaker 1: a little uncomfortable, as it seemed like we were on
- 59:05Speaker 1: a real day. I told my parents about lunch, and
- 59:07Speaker 1: my dad told me to beware of him because my
- 59:10Speaker 1: mom been trying to hook us up. My mom was smirking,
- 59:13Speaker 1: and she said he's a great man and he always
- 59:15Speaker 1: has been. Says he's kind of wealthy, and he's crazy
- 59:18Speaker 1: about me. My dad rolled his eyes and walked away.
- 59:21Speaker 1: My mom went on saying that the old man told
- 59:23Speaker 1: them I was just this type, and my dad didn't
- 59:25Speaker 1: like it, but agreed that I'm old enough to decide
- 59:28Speaker 1: what I want to do. I told my mom that's
- 59:30Speaker 1: no way I'm dating their friend, and I'm not physically
- 59:32Speaker 1: attracted to him at all. I told my mom to
- 59:35Speaker 1: tell him I'm not interested, she told me, telling me yourself,
- 59:37Speaker 1: how can I politely tell this old man that I
- 59:39Speaker 1: don't want him? Well, let's talk about a couple of things.
- 59:43Speaker 1: First of all, why does your mama think that you
- 59:46Speaker 1: should date this sevent me some year old man. I
- 59:50Speaker 1: know why, because you ain't got nobody, ain't had nobody
- 59:55Speaker 1: in a while, and ain't got nobody on the hook
- 59:58Speaker 1: or strang. So now your mama saying I got to
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: help her, so she didn't went and got one of
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: her old ass friends. Now he's a great ass man
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: for your mama, but not for you. Well, I'm just
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: telling you now. To daddy, he really can't say not
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: because she fought it. But she ain't attracted to the dude,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: even with all his wealth, She's not attracted to him. Now, Yeah,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: so that's it. So Sherley, we're gonna do a reenactment.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: We're out on a date and I want you to
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: just have a conversation with me. I'm the old seventy
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: ye old dude on the date and you're just trying
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: to make general conversation. You're trying to keep it as
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: bland as possible because you don't want me to go

- 1:04:04Speaker 1: get ready our resident poet Junior is here with a
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: brand new poem. He's been working, he's been you know,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: this weekend. Um. I realized that March first today is
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Women's History Month, and what better way to celebrate women
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: then with a wonderful poem. And uh, the title of
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: the poem is women's History. Oh yeah, that's that's all
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I got out of that one. That's all I can
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: think of. Got it though, Here we go, h we
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: celebrate women's history. A month is not long enough before
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: a length of time to honor them. That selection would
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: be rough. Your memories are like ice cream and all
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: so many choices, like caramel, vanilla, and chocolate, the ones
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: that give you three choices. Okay, it's called Napolitan ice cream.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Neapolitan ice cream. I couldn't rhyme that, so I just
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: had to move on. Okay, So that's why it sounded
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: like that. Just neo pauls an ice cream. Okay, that's
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: end the poem. Yes, this is the poem. This is
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: the poem. Were interrupted it keep going? Yeah you stock it? Okay,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: here we go, and here's to you, miss butterscotch. I
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: toasted the glass so high, had myself a rocket road.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I gave it my best. Try. Don't tell no one,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: but I had vanilla. Let's keep it on the low low.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Got busted with a girl and I ain't do that
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: no more. So all the ladies we take this month
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: because you are so fine. Let's have a party to
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: honor them, and I'll throw in the boxed wine the
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: end Women's History month. Whoa, I gave it to believe
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you do it? I do it again? The worst it
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: really to you, to you, to you. I can't listen
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: to him, Jake man, did you hit me with the
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: polite Neopolitan? How to say it? I put it in
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: the poem because I couldn't even rhyme it with nothing.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: It was just a brilliant, God God, I couldn't even
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: what I wanted to use it, but I wanted to
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: do it because it's an ice cream Jake, because it's
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: an ice cream. I had to use it. You know what, Junior,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: one day you're gonna be in front of the Capital
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: with your poem one day. I don't know when, because
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: I ain't got too many more presidential the lectures left time.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I gotta figure out how to get that now. I
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: ain't got that any time to go vote for a
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: president again. So but man, I had to do it, Jake,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I told you, but I would call Ben and Jerry's
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: with the Neopolitan because that is not out, Junior, that
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: that would be a flavor. You know what, I don't
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: even think about Ben and Jerry. I gotta put that in.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I gotta redo it. I gotta redoing it. You don't. Please,

- 1:18:15Speaker 1: what the problem is. But every time you do one,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: it's worse than the one you did. I know my
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: poem I finally written is long overdue, but I just

- 1:19:33Speaker 1: the rap came along and everybody thought they could wrap.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Now they to fix it where they need no record deal,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: they go independent. So you got a lot of people
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: that couldn't get signed, No damn where independent. Yeah, that
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: create their own portray for everybody. Okay, it's not junior
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: need to stay out of portraits. So immediately, no, you say,

- 1:20:37Speaker 1: a segment on this show. You never stopped dreaming, you said,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: always trying to better yourself and strive for other stuff.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: You know, right? Will you strive? Wow, that's dream crushing
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: right here? Dream? No, I ain't killing me? You striving?
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Where we at? Has he done one? Y'all want to

- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I didn't hear that. And your whole emphasis was on vanilla.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: On a predominantly black show. He did say the apolitis
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: the most time went to vanilla ice cream. It did
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: not Napolitan. We gonna argue. I think he said French
