- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to his verdict with Center Ted Cruz Weekend Review.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you, and here are the three stories
- 0:05Speaker 1: that you may have missed that we talked about this week.
- 0:07Speaker 1: First up to decline of Joe Biden, now on tape
- 0:11Speaker 1: with her report coming out, and you're going to be
- 0:13Speaker 1: shocked what you hear. Will have the latest on that
- 0:15Speaker 1: in just a moment. Also, Donald Trump signs a historic
- 0:19Speaker 1: Take It Down Act that will protect so many people
- 0:22Speaker 1: from revenge pornography. Will give the details as well. And finally,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Tom Homan, he is our guest on holding politicians accountable
- 0:31Speaker 1: for helping illegal immigrants get away with their crimes. It's
- 0:36Speaker 1: the weekend Review and it starts right now. I actually
- 0:39Speaker 1: feel bad for Joe Biden. I think it's very clear
- 0:41Speaker 1: that people were taking advantage of him. I think this
- 0:44Speaker 1: is a form of elder abuse.
- 0:45Speaker 2: No, that was sad.
- 0:46Speaker 1: It is It is absolutely sad. That is the president
- 0:49Speaker 1: United States of America and the fact that there were
- 0:51Speaker 1: some of you who wanted to keep their power. Whoever
- 0:53Speaker 1: those five people were that they did this to him.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Look and he do you remember the question that was
- 0:59Speaker 2: in the front to that, what was it? It was
- 1:02Speaker 2: where are you're keeping classified documents? And he went down
- 1:06Speaker 2: a four minute recollection of losing his son tragically, and
- 1:12Speaker 2: there's nothing sadder than a parent burying a child. And
- 1:15Speaker 2: then that's certainly a personal tragedy that Joe Biden has
- 1:18Speaker 2: had more than his fair share of. But he was
- 1:23Speaker 2: not able to even answer the question. Well, all right,
- 1:30Speaker 2: here's another segment of her tapes. Listen, listen to this
- 1:33Speaker 2: next excerpt.
- 1:36Speaker 3: As a memo, mister president, was this something that you
- 1:40Speaker 3: consciously kept after your term as vice president? Is this
- 1:45Speaker 3: something that he wanted to hold on too?
- 1:47Speaker 4: I do recall did I have this in my position
- 1:51Speaker 4: to spend up?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yes, And to give you some context for this, mister president,
- 1:54Speaker 3: he was found in front of this notebook that's on
- 1:58Speaker 3: the first page and.
- 2:00Speaker 5: To what was founded in the library at the lake House.
- 2:04Speaker 4: He one of the parentswer you don't I don't recall
- 2:08Speaker 4: how I got back. I mean, I don't recall how
- 2:11Speaker 4: I got back in the book because I sent it
- 2:14Speaker 4: to the president.
- 2:15Speaker 6: I gave it to the president, and this looks like
- 2:18Speaker 6: the original. I don't think there's maybe there's a copy.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Made it, but I don't think it was faxt just oh, okay,
- 2:24Speaker 4: that's why.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Yeah, alright, no, I got.
- 2:27Speaker 4: I wasn't sure how I got how I whether I
- 2:30Speaker 4: gay handed the president.
- 2:31Speaker 6: It was fact to the president which.
- 2:33Speaker 4: I had to copy, right, Okay, I had the reason
- 2:36Speaker 4: and I just put it in the book and that
- 2:38Speaker 4: was it.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Okay.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Were you awayer that you had kept it after your
- 2:43Speaker 3: returning vice president?
- 2:45Speaker 5: Did you know that you had it?
- 2:48Speaker 4: I I don't know that I knew, would wouldn't when
- 2:52Speaker 4: it's time something I would have started to think.
- 2:53Speaker 5: About the reason I asked, is it's.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Been written it out about Woodward about it in one
- 3:01Speaker 3: of his books, Jewels that would cover, wrote about it
- 3:05Speaker 3: in his biography or you. So that's that's the reason
- 3:08Speaker 3: I asked. If it was something that he wanted to
- 3:10Speaker 3: hang on to you he cause he was gonna be.
- 3:12Speaker 6: Such reporting or his it's gonna be subjet reporting.
- 3:15Speaker 4: But I I wanted to hang I guess I wanted
- 3:18Speaker 4: to hang on to it just preposterity setting. I mean
- 3:21Speaker 4: that this was my position on Afghanistan. I I've been
- 3:28Speaker 4: a view from a historical standpoints that there are certain
- 3:33Speaker 4: points in history, world history where fundamental things change, usually technology,
- 3:40Speaker 4: for example, without Gutenberg's pretty pressed Europe gonna be a
- 3:43Speaker 4: very different place, literally a different place, because countries would
- 3:48Speaker 4: not have known what what what was happened to another
- 3:51Speaker 4: country on the parts of the country. You know, Uh
- 3:54Speaker 4: think about a stupid idea, a notion Nixon had probably
- 3:58Speaker 4: been unpresident or you to television where he sweaty is
- 4:02Speaker 4: I'm I'm used to say the sweating is so profusely
- 4:04Speaker 4: in that debate. A lot of people thought he won
- 4:07Speaker 4: the debate, but he lost the debate because of his demeanor.
- 4:11Speaker 6: The So there's a lot of things that I think are.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Fundamentally changing how the international society's function, and that related
- 4:23Speaker 4: a lot to technology and one of the.
- 4:27Speaker 6: Things that I was in the view that.
- 4:32Speaker 4: A lot has changed in terms of everything from the
- 4:37Speaker 4: Internet to to the way which we communicate with one
- 4:41Speaker 4: another to that that is fundamentally older built.
- 4:46Speaker 6: I've had this discussion with the press is for that,
- 4:51Speaker 6: and I mean, that's that's what I wanted to do.
- 4:52Speaker 4: I I uh, nothing to do with that fancy.
- 4:56Speaker 5: And Mark just really quickly, I probably believe.
- 5:00Speaker 7: I just really would like to avoid, for the purpose
- 5:02Speaker 7: of a Cleton record, getting into specuative areas. When the
- 5:04Speaker 7: President responded and said, I don't recall intending to.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Keep this memo.
- 5:10Speaker 7: You then said, well, you know, might you have thought
- 5:12Speaker 7: it was important to keep him whatever, And he said, well,
- 5:14Speaker 7: I guess I couldn't.
- 5:16Speaker 5: His recollection, as I understand.
- 5:18Speaker 7: It is, he does not recall specifically intending to keep
- 5:21Speaker 7: this memo after you left the vice presidency.
- 5:23Speaker 5: And I want that to.
- 5:24Speaker 7: Be I want these questions to be as clearly answered
- 5:27Speaker 7: and recorded.
- 5:27Speaker 5: On the transfer it as possible. I bet we should
- 5:29Speaker 5: take a great piece.
- 5:32Speaker 1: There's one thing that's consistent. They wanted to take a break,
- 5:36Speaker 1: and you had the questions coming in in such a
- 5:38Speaker 1: kind way like this is not what I was expecting.
- 5:41Speaker 2: So let me say legally that exchange is very important.
- 5:46Speaker 2: So this is a classified document on Afghanistan. I don't
- 5:49Speaker 2: actually know the precise details of the document, but it's
- 5:51Speaker 2: a classified document in Afghanistan that he had in a
- 5:54Speaker 2: non secure location, which is a criminal violation. Is the
- 5:58Speaker 2: violation they were charging. Right then, the Biden Justice Department
- 6:02Speaker 2: was prosecuting Donald Trump for doing exactly that. And the
- 6:06Speaker 2: prosecutor asked him, so did you intend to keep this document?
- 6:12Speaker 2: And he's like, I don't know, I don't and immediately
- 6:14Speaker 2: his lawyer jumps in. Your answer is you don't know.
- 6:17Speaker 8: Now.
- 6:17Speaker 2: His lawyer's been a good lawyer there, because this is
- 6:20Speaker 2: all about establishing the men's raya the mental status to
- 6:24Speaker 2: be guilty of the crime. But then Biden goes on
- 6:28Speaker 2: and says, you know, well, why did you keep it.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It's been reported, it's been in this book, it's that book.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And he says, well, I kept it for posterity. It
- 6:35Speaker 2: was important to have, and his lawyer comes in at
- 6:38Speaker 2: the end, he's like, oh, crap, oh crap. You just
- 6:39Speaker 2: admitted that you did it on purpose, and you kept
- 6:43Speaker 2: it because you wanted to be able to tell a
- 6:45Speaker 2: really good story about Joe Biden, and you wanted to
- 6:48Speaker 2: lead classified information to reporters, and you needed the memo
- 6:51Speaker 2: to do it. And he admits that, and then his
- 6:53Speaker 2: reporter at the end, his lawyer at the end tries
- 6:56Speaker 2: to clean that up. That exchange has enormous legal significance.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Had doj not concluded that the sitting president of the
- 7:06Speaker 2: United States was incompetent to stand trial, let me repeat
- 7:09Speaker 2: that sentence, because it's an astonishing one. Had doj not
- 7:13Speaker 2: concluded that the sitting president is incompetent to stand trial.
- 7:19Speaker 2: That exchange would have featured prominently in the criminal trial
- 7:23Speaker 2: convicting him of violating that law.
- 7:26Speaker 1: You look at now what we're seeing with this herd tape,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and I go back to accountability. There are clearly people
- 7:34Speaker 1: that were helping cover this up. They were taking advantage
- 7:36Speaker 1: of Joe Biden. I think his family obviously was in
- 7:40Speaker 1: on this as well. They wanted the power whoever the
- 7:43Speaker 1: five people are. The question I ask you is, how
- 7:46Speaker 1: the hell do we find out who the five people are?
- 7:48Speaker 1: And what is Congress's role play in this to make
- 7:50Speaker 1: sure it never happens again.
- 7:52Speaker 2: There should absolutely be congressional hearings. We need an answer.
- 7:55Speaker 2: The media ought to do its job and report. Want
- 7:58Speaker 2: to play one more excerpt from the her tapes. L
- 8:00Speaker 2: listen to this final excerpt went.
- 8:02Speaker 6: To Mongolia and UH and the Great Pictures.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I unfortunately embarrassed they held out a leader of Mongolia.
- 8:11Speaker 6: They were shown they were doing, ay what they would
- 8:14Speaker 6: do at the time of the innovasion.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Of the Mongols into Europe and UH fourteen in the
- 8:22Speaker 4: UH eight hundreds and and.
- 8:24Speaker 6: So around in the middle of nowhere, and they're looking
- 8:26Speaker 6: up and the aile and see this tiny mine.
- 8:29Speaker 4: And I was a twenty mile horse race with all
- 8:31Speaker 4: these kids under the age of sixteen out of bareback
- 8:34Speaker 4: racing to come down.
- 8:36Speaker 6: And you know they're sumer wrestlers and doing everything they do.
- 8:40Speaker 4: And uh so they walked over and they had uh target,
- 8:43Speaker 4: big bail, say, hey, a hundred yards away, and these
- 8:47Speaker 4: guerrillas were, you know, taking shots, and uh, I think
- 8:51Speaker 4: as an embarrassed marriage I would make a point.
- 8:54Speaker 6: But there handed the bow and arrow. I'm not a
- 8:58Speaker 6: bad archer, but I found that word. I can pull
- 9:02Speaker 6: it back.
- 9:05Speaker 5: True and luck I.
- 9:05Speaker 6: Ain't the target. I really get bills of Hayes, right,
- 9:10Speaker 6: twenty bills a hey with a.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Big target, and.
- 9:15Speaker 6: So I didn't meet any but I turned a primer
- 9:17Speaker 6: shandon to hear.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So, look, if Genghis Khan, if Genghis Khan comes comes in,
- 9:31Speaker 2: if if we face the Mongol Horde, know that that
- 9:34Speaker 2: Joe Biden is ready to fire his bow and arrow. Look,
- 9:40Speaker 2: there are a lot of things you can say about
- 9:42Speaker 2: this interview, but it's very clear why Democrats did not
- 9:47Speaker 2: want this release before the election.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 9:51Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 9:54Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two, Senaer,
- 9:59Speaker 1: Let's talk about and this other incredible moment that happened
- 10:02Speaker 1: this week at the White House. Donald Trump signed to
- 10:04Speaker 1: Take It Down Act into law. It's something that you
- 10:06Speaker 1: championed and remind people what this law is intent and
- 10:11Speaker 1: why it is such an important base of legislation to
- 10:13Speaker 1: protect not only young people and minors, but really anyone
- 10:18Speaker 1: from just evil and hateful revenge from an ex.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Well, this is legislation that I authored that President Trump
- 10:25Speaker 2: signed into law this week. Actually he signed it into
- 10:28Speaker 2: law in the Rose Garden and a big ceremony in
- 10:30Speaker 2: the Rose Garden. I've done a lot of bill signing
- 10:32Speaker 2: ceremonies in the Oval Office. This first time I've been
- 10:35Speaker 2: in the Rose Garden because you had victim groups and
- 10:38Speaker 2: victim advocates and people who have been victims of non
- 10:42Speaker 2: consensual explicit imagery.
- 10:43Speaker 8: Now what is that?
- 10:44Speaker 2: That's really two different things. Number One, so called revenge porn.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So if you have a boyfriend and girlfriend and they're
- 10:51Speaker 2: in a relationship and they take explicit pictures or videos
- 10:55Speaker 2: and then they have a breakup and one or the
- 10:58Speaker 2: other is mad and they say, Okay, I'm gonna stick
- 11:00Speaker 2: it to you. I'm gonna put this out for the
- 11:02Speaker 2: whole world to see. And it is an utterly grotesque
- 11:06Speaker 2: violation of privacy. Nobody has the right to do that
- 11:09Speaker 2: to somebody else, and it's something we're seeing happening more
- 11:12Speaker 2: and more often. There's a second manifestation that is new,
- 11:16Speaker 2: and it has to deal with technology, which is more
- 11:19Speaker 2: and more we are seeing people use AI artificial intelligence
- 11:23Speaker 2: to create deep fakes and deep fakes where they appear
- 11:27Speaker 2: to be either a picture or a video of a
- 11:30Speaker 2: real person, but it's utterly fake. And so they make
- 11:32Speaker 2: and naked or explicit image of someone and put it out.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And the incidence of deep fakes last year increased three
- 11:41Speaker 2: thousand percent, and over ninety percent of the victims of
- 11:46Speaker 2: deep fake explicit imagery are women or teenage girls, and
- 11:50Speaker 2: so it is growing massively. And so the Take It
- 11:54Speaker 2: Down Act is legislation that I introduce that makes it
- 11:57Speaker 2: a crime, a federal felony to post non consensual intimate images,
- 12:01Speaker 2: either real pictures or deep fakes. And secondly, it puts
- 12:07Speaker 2: a federal statutory obligation on tech platforms to take the
- 12:11Speaker 2: pictures down, to take the videos down, because the platforms
- 12:15Speaker 2: have been horrifable responding to victims. They ignore victims, they
- 12:18Speaker 2: leave the images up, and so the victim ends up
- 12:21Speaker 2: being being victimized over and over and over again by
- 12:24Speaker 2: the images staying out there. And so To Take It
- 12:27Speaker 2: Down Act puts a legal obligation that when the victim
- 12:30Speaker 2: notifies them, hey, that's me, that's an explicit image of me,
- 12:34Speaker 2: and you don't have my consent to put it up,
- 12:36Speaker 2: they have to take it down. This legislation I introduced
- 12:40Speaker 2: with Amy Klobuchar, Democrat from Minnesota, and we passed it
- 12:45Speaker 2: through the Senate. We passed it unanimously. It was one
- 12:47Speaker 2: hundred and nothing. And then the House took it up
- 12:49Speaker 2: and passed it with an overwhelming bipartisan majority. And President
- 12:54Speaker 2: Trump signed it in the law. And give a listen
- 12:56Speaker 2: to what President Trump said this week in the Rose
- 12:58Speaker 2: Garden as he signed the Take It Down Act into law.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Today.
- 13:01Speaker 9: It's my honor to officially sign they Take It Down
- 13:04Speaker 9: Act into law. It's a big thing, very important, so
- 13:07Speaker 9: horrible what takes place. This will be the first ever
- 13:11Speaker 9: federal law to combat the distribution of explicit imaginary posted
- 13:17Speaker 9: without subjects consent, take horrible pictures, and I guess sometimes
- 13:23Speaker 9: even make up the pictures and they post it without
- 13:25Speaker 9: consent or anything else. And very importantly, this includes for
- 13:29Speaker 9: forgeries generated by artificial intelligence known as deep fakes. We've
- 13:34Speaker 9: all heard about deep fakes. I have all the time,
- 13:36Speaker 9: but I don't nobody does anything. I asked, Pam, can
- 13:39Speaker 9: you help me, Pam, she says no, I'm too busy,
- 13:41Speaker 9: too busy doing other things.
- 13:43Speaker 6: Don't worry.
- 13:43Speaker 9: You'll survive. But a lot of people don't survive. That's
- 13:47Speaker 9: true and so horrible. With the rise of aiimage generation,
- 13:51Speaker 9: countless women have been harassed with deep fakes and other
- 13:54Speaker 9: explicit images distributed against their will. This is the wrong
- 13:58Speaker 9: and it's just a so horribly wrong, and it's a
- 14:02Speaker 9: very abusive situation, like in some cases people have never
- 14:06Speaker 9: seen before. And today we're making it totally illegal, sinater.
- 14:12Speaker 1: One of the things I just I love about this
- 14:14Speaker 1: legislation is the fact that not only is it bipartisan,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but you had the first lady who really got involved
- 14:18Speaker 1: in this as well. It was important to her and
- 14:22Speaker 1: that made it I think even easier to bridge the gap.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Well, we did the First Lady became very active in
- 14:28Speaker 2: pushing this bill. She reached out out to me and
- 14:32Speaker 2: said she wanted to help get it over the finish line.
- 14:34Speaker 2: So last year we passed it out of the Senate
- 14:37Speaker 2: one hundred to nothing, and the House failed to take
- 14:39Speaker 2: it up last year, so it did not pass last year,
- 14:42Speaker 2: and so we got to this year to the new Congress.
- 14:45Speaker 2: I passed it through the Senate again one hundred to nothing,
- 14:48Speaker 2: and the real battle was to get it to rise
- 14:51Speaker 2: up the priority list of House leadership. And so when
- 14:54Speaker 2: the First Lady called my office and said she wanted
- 14:57Speaker 2: to help, what I did is I invited her to
- 14:59Speaker 2: come the Capitol Hill for a roundtable where she could
- 15:03Speaker 2: hear from the victims. And also at that roundtable was
- 15:09Speaker 2: the Speaker of the House and Steve Scalise, the Majority Leader,
- 15:13Speaker 2: and Brett Guthrie, who's the committee chairman in the House.
- 15:16Speaker 2: And when the First Lady asked them, will you please
- 15:20Speaker 2: pass this into law, they committed to her they would.
- 15:23Speaker 2: And this was the day before the State of the
- 15:25Speaker 2: Union address, and you may remember the State of the
- 15:28Speaker 2: Union address, Milania was sitting with a teenage girl from Texas,
- 15:32Speaker 2: Elliston Barry, and President Trump told her story in the
- 15:36Speaker 2: State of the Union and called on Congress to pass
- 15:38Speaker 2: this bill. And I'll tell you it's actually it's a
- 15:41Speaker 2: fascinating story of how this bill came to pass because
- 15:45Speaker 2: it originates with one teenage girl in Texas, Elliston Barry.
- 15:51Speaker 2: She's from North Texas, from Aledo, Texas, and a year ago,
- 15:54Speaker 2: she was fourteen, and she was in ninth grade and
- 15:58Speaker 2: she woke up one morning and her was blowing up
- 16:01Speaker 2: with texts from her friends because a classmate of hers
- 16:06Speaker 2: had taken a perfectly innocent picture of her from social
- 16:09Speaker 2: media and had used an app online that he had
- 16:13Speaker 2: found to create a deep fake and then sent what
- 16:17Speaker 2: appeared to be naked pictures of Elliston to all of
- 16:20Speaker 2: her ninth grade classmates. And so she was in tears. Listen,
- 16:23Speaker 2: it is hard to be a teenager. I'm the father
- 16:26Speaker 2: of two teenage girls. I know the pressure that is
- 16:28Speaker 2: on teenage girls. It's much harder to be a teenager
- 16:31Speaker 2: today than when you and I were teenager's ben and
- 16:34Speaker 2: this was just just horrific. Well, what happened is her mom, Anna. Look,
- 16:40Speaker 2: Elliston and Anna are are constituents, They're Texans, so Anna
- 16:44Speaker 2: picked up the phone and called my office and said, hey, look,
- 16:47Speaker 2: you're my senator, can you help my daughter?
- 16:51Speaker 1: And my staff.
- 16:52Speaker 2: To their credit, they elevated this to me and they
- 16:55Speaker 2: told me what had happened Elliston, and this is happening
- 16:58Speaker 2: more and more all over the country. And so I said, look,
- 17:01Speaker 2: let's draft legislation to fix this, to address the problem.
- 17:05Speaker 2: And so we did it. And it was it was
- 17:08Speaker 2: because of Elliston that we drafted it. But as I said,
- 17:10Speaker 2: it's happening all over the country. Well, Elliston came to
- 17:15Speaker 2: DC the day we announced the bill last year for
- 17:19Speaker 2: the press conference, and I sat down and met with Elliston.
- 17:21Speaker 2: I met with her mom in my office, and in
- 17:23Speaker 2: the course of the meeting, I asked, I said, hey,
- 17:26Speaker 2: what happened to the pictures? And her mom said, it's
- 17:29Speaker 2: the most frustrating thing in the world. She said, this
- 17:31Speaker 2: happened nine months ago. She said, I have been calling
- 17:34Speaker 2: and emailing Snapchat over and over and over again. They
- 17:38Speaker 2: just Stone Wallace. We get no response. Ben I turned
- 17:41Speaker 2: to my staff, I said, I want you to get
- 17:43Speaker 2: the CEO of Snapchat on the phone today. I want
- 17:47Speaker 2: those pictures down today. They pulled them down within two hours. Now,
- 17:53Speaker 2: it should not take a sitting senator making a phone
- 17:56Speaker 2: call to get those pictures taken down. And now, as
- 17:59Speaker 2: a result to the legislation Trump hassigned, every victim has
- 18:03Speaker 2: a statutory right to insist that it be taken down
- 18:07Speaker 2: as a matter of law automatically.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 1: In fact, Ellison Barry got to go on Fox News
- 18:12Speaker 1: Channel with our good friend Kally mc andanny and talk
- 18:15Speaker 1: about this moment. And here's what she had to say.
- 18:17Speaker 8: Take a listen.
- 18:18Speaker 10: But you didn't stop. You decided to go and talk
- 18:22Speaker 10: to your local congressman. You get connected with the senator,
- 18:25Speaker 10: and then you manage there you are standing behind the
- 18:26Speaker 10: President of the United States changing the laws for other
- 18:29Speaker 10: young women like you. Did you ever think this day
- 18:31Speaker 10: would come?
- 18:33Speaker 11: I never would have thought that this could ever be
- 18:35Speaker 11: my reality. My mom, she's really an amazing person, and
- 18:39Speaker 11: she's the one that's been pushing for this, and she's
- 18:42Speaker 11: the one that's encouraged me. So I wouldn't be able
- 18:44Speaker 11: to do this without her help and her support, and
- 18:46Speaker 11: she really just has encouraged me to the point where
- 18:49Speaker 11: I feel encouraged about this. So having the opportunity to
- 18:54Speaker 11: speak about this and to bring awareness really just means
- 18:57Speaker 11: so much. Especially it's so much growth seeing how scared
- 19:01Speaker 11: I was at first and seeing how confident I am
- 19:04Speaker 11: able in this situation.
- 19:05Speaker 10: Well, other young women now have recourse thanks to you,
- 19:08Speaker 10: Elliston Berry. So impressive.
- 19:10Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 19:11Speaker 6: I love it.
- 19:11Speaker 1: It's finally a happy ending to a really hard and
- 19:16Speaker 1: sad subject.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Well, and Ben att the signing ceremony, I was able
- 19:19Speaker 2: to introduce Elliston to the President. I introduced also Francesca Mani,
- 19:24Speaker 2: who was another fifteen year old girl who was in
- 19:26Speaker 2: New Jersey and the exact same thing happened to her
- 19:29Speaker 2: as happened to Elliston. And I also introduced Brandon Guffy.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Brandon Guffy is a state rep from South Carolina, and tragically,
- 19:38Speaker 2: his oldest son got what we thought was a direct
- 19:41Speaker 2: message from a cute girl and she convinced him to
- 19:45Speaker 2: send naked pictures to her. Well, it turned out it
- 19:47Speaker 2: was not a cute girl, it was a con man,
- 19:51Speaker 2: and the con man began extorting him and threatening I'm
- 19:55Speaker 2: going to send these naked pictures to your friends and family. Well,
- 19:58Speaker 2: Brandon's son, Gavin, killed himself, and we are seeing suicides
- 20:02Speaker 2: across the country. So I introduced Brandon, his family, the
- 20:05Speaker 2: President too, and this law is of victory for everyone
- 20:08Speaker 2: that is a target of this kind of exploitation.
- 20:11Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
- 20:13Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 20:16Speaker 1: dow the podcasts from earlier this week to hear the
- 20:19Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 20:22Speaker 1: story number three of the week you may have missed.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I want to go back to accountability for a second time,
- 20:27Speaker 1: and I want to ask you there are a lot
- 20:29Speaker 1: of people that believe that there were laws that were
- 20:32Speaker 1: broken deliberately in the last administration. They knew they were
- 20:35Speaker 1: breaking the law. One of those would be former Homeland
- 20:38Speaker 1: Security Secretary. My orc is that you mentioned a moment ago.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Should he be criminally prosecuted for his role in the
- 20:45Speaker 1: border crisis if it was as deliberate as it now seems.
- 20:48Speaker 8: Look, I think what he did was borderline trees in
- 20:51Speaker 8: this I'm not an attorney, I'm not a prosecutor, but
- 20:54Speaker 8: what he did, he did more damage to this country.
- 20:56Speaker 8: Him and the Biden administration. What they did to this country,
- 21:00Speaker 8: I can tell you when they opened that border up
- 21:03Speaker 8: sex trafficking women should increase tenfold of a record number
- 21:08Speaker 8: of migrants died making that journey, over four thousand, A
- 21:12Speaker 8: record number of Americans died from fatanah that come across
- 21:14Speaker 8: that open border. And it's just what he what he
- 21:18Speaker 8: calls this country and from a national securities perspective, because
- 21:21Speaker 8: here's what his orders were, process quick, release quick. They
- 21:26Speaker 8: didn't care about the crisis. They cared about the optics
- 21:29Speaker 8: of the crisis. If there's no overcrowding, there's nothing to
- 21:32Speaker 8: see here. So border trades were processed as quick as
- 21:35Speaker 8: they could, and releases a quick as they could. And
- 21:38Speaker 8: there's been several instances where they released so quickly the
- 21:42Speaker 8: FBI scan didn't come back and it came back hot.
- 21:45Speaker 8: Actually they already been released. They came back hot. As
- 21:48Speaker 8: a known spectatorian, So yeah, what he did was unconsortable.
- 21:53Speaker 8: What he did is my opinion, borderline treason. Is he
- 21:57Speaker 8: should be held accountable because a lot of death hurt
- 22:00Speaker 8: under his watch. And look at like Sandra Cruz said
- 22:03Speaker 8: a few minutes ago, right now, ninety six percent decline
- 22:06Speaker 8: and illegal immigration, when ninety six percent less people are coming,
- 22:09Speaker 8: how many women aren't being raped, how many children aren't
- 22:12Speaker 8: dying crossing that border. How many no inspected taaris aren't
- 22:15Speaker 8: getting in the country. How many pounds of fentanyl is
- 22:17Speaker 8: not getting the country. What are you going to see
- 22:18Speaker 8: on the President Trump's administration? Ventanyl deaths, a decrease, sex
- 22:22Speaker 8: trafficking with decrease, smuggling with decrease, and no inspected tars.
- 22:27Speaker 5: They got no.
- 22:27Speaker 8: Open night anymore. Now that we got the board secure,
- 22:30Speaker 8: every single borders religion is on the lying on patrol.
- 22:34Speaker 8: During his National Security duty under Joe Biden, it was
- 22:37Speaker 8: an average most days, an average seventy percent seven zero
- 22:42Speaker 8: seventy percent of agents were no longer on patrol. They
- 22:45Speaker 8: were changing diapers, making baby formula, making hospital runs the
- 22:49Speaker 8: last time, aren't down there. Before the election, I talked
- 22:51Speaker 8: to hundreds of board plays, told me to hang on,
- 22:53Speaker 8: hang on, changes coming. I really think the President Trump's
- 22:55Speaker 8: going to win. But they told me no, we're sick
- 22:58Speaker 8: of being tour station. We're sick of being uber drivers.
- 23:01Speaker 8: We process and delivered these people to the very same
- 23:04Speaker 8: people who pay for their smuggling. They couldn't recruit, they
- 23:08Speaker 8: couldn't people were quitting. They were quickly for it, even
- 23:10Speaker 8: as well for retirement. They couldn't red recruiting numbers. You know,
- 23:13Speaker 8: last month, Ice, I'm excuse me, Bord Patrol had the
- 23:17Speaker 8: highst recruiting numbers and the history of that agency just
- 23:22Speaker 8: last month.
- 23:22Speaker 2: That's fantastic. And look, I will say Tom's not exaggerating
- 23:28Speaker 2: at all, like when I would visit with Border Patrol
- 23:30Speaker 2: agents the frustration. Look, the men and women who sign
- 23:33Speaker 2: up for the Border Patrol, they do do so because
- 23:35Speaker 2: they're patriots. They do so because they love America. They
- 23:38Speaker 2: do so because they want to keep our communities and
- 23:40Speaker 2: our families and our kids safe, and they want to
- 23:43Speaker 2: be out on patrol. Look, these that's what you sign
- 23:47Speaker 2: up in the job. And they were sitting there just
- 23:49Speaker 2: shuffling paperwork, they were processing and just running a revolving
- 23:54Speaker 2: door to try to release as many illegal immigrants as
- 23:57Speaker 2: fast as possible. That's what may ORCS looked viewed. His
- 24:00Speaker 2: job is accelerate illegal immigration, not stop it, but make
- 24:05Speaker 2: it go more quickly. Let me ask you, Tom, you
- 24:07Speaker 2: mentioned fentanyl. What do we know about the numbers of
- 24:11Speaker 2: fentanyl traffic Over the first four months of the Trump administration.
- 24:16Speaker 8: There's been a decrease and I've got from three or
- 24:19Speaker 8: four different sources. The percentage of decrease is different from
- 24:22Speaker 8: every source. The problem is the CDC doesn't have good
- 24:25Speaker 8: metrics on fatanyl. But look across the country. You can
- 24:28Speaker 8: see the decrease in fatanyl. Fatanyl's being c's on the
- 24:32Speaker 8: southern border, and it's the metrics. And that's maybe something
- 24:37Speaker 8: you all can work on up there in the Senate. UH,
- 24:40Speaker 8: CDC needs a track this more more more accurately. Like
- 24:45Speaker 8: I said, you got you got a number of deaths
- 24:47Speaker 8: reported by states, you got a number of death reported
- 24:49Speaker 8: by CDC. None of them match. So, but we do
- 24:52Speaker 8: know there's been a reduction. You don't see you know,
- 24:56Speaker 8: three hundred people dying every day from fantanlock. We did
- 24:59Speaker 8: that right. We don't have two nine to elevens a
- 25:03Speaker 8: week happening from kids dying from fatanah. So I don't
- 25:06Speaker 8: have exact numbers, but we already see the effects of
- 25:08Speaker 8: a secure boarder.
- 25:10Speaker 2: And Tom, let me ask you also. So one of
- 25:11Speaker 2: the things we've talked about on this podcast. In twenty eighteen,
- 25:15Speaker 2: the Mexican drug cartels made roughly five hundred million dollars
- 25:20Speaker 2: from human trafficking. Last year, the drug cartels made over
- 25:24Speaker 2: thirteen billion dollars from human trafficking. That's a twenty six
- 25:29Speaker 2: hundred percent increase. Do we have any data yet? Do
- 25:32Speaker 2: you have any visibility on what has happened to the
- 25:36Speaker 2: drug cartel's revenue Because one of the worst consequences of
- 25:39Speaker 2: what Biden's open border did is is it turned these vicious, murderous,
- 25:45Speaker 2: transnational criminal organizations into incredibly wealthy powerhouses, and it put
- 25:52Speaker 2: huge resources in their pockets. Do do you have any
- 25:54Speaker 2: data on what's happened to their revenues?
- 25:56Speaker 8: Well, one of the first wresting President Trump too is organization.
- 26:00Speaker 8: Because these cartels have killed more Americans every turance organization
- 26:05Speaker 8: were combined. We knew that. That's why there's so much
- 26:08Speaker 8: buy on some Mexico. The last four years cartels were
- 26:11Speaker 8: fighting each other for control of the plausas. Why because
- 26:14Speaker 8: they're making record amounts of money, smuggling people, record amount
- 26:17Speaker 8: of money, and trafficking women and children, and the record
- 26:20Speaker 8: amount of money moving dope across that border. Now, with
- 26:22Speaker 8: the board secure, we're hitting them where it hurts. Are
- 26:25Speaker 8: smugglings down, both drugs and people trafficking is down, So
- 26:30Speaker 8: we're hitting where it hurts. That's why the latest intelligence
- 26:32Speaker 8: force I see they're trying to produce and push more
- 26:35Speaker 8: fatanol into Asian European nations because their market here in
- 26:40Speaker 8: the United States has been so brutally attacked. I wish
- 26:44Speaker 8: what would happen is that Mexico would agree with President
- 26:48Speaker 8: Trump to let us help them take the cartels and
- 26:50Speaker 8: wipe them off the face the ears, because right now
- 26:52Speaker 8: they're like the holical cartel. They're in forty four countries
- 26:56Speaker 8: around the globe. They're like a fortune five hundred company's
- 27:00Speaker 8: going to take to the United States to take them on.
- 27:01Speaker 8: Mexico's failed for decades to do it, and a lot
- 27:04Speaker 8: of mechs.
- 27:04Speaker 5: Sure.
- 27:04Speaker 8: You know that military, police and government versus are corrupt.
- 27:07Speaker 8: I'll say this, a lot of the corruption is forced corruption.
- 27:10Speaker 8: Because you're a police officer Mexo. You're making you know,
- 27:13Speaker 8: four hundred dollars a month, but a Mexican cartel comes
- 27:16Speaker 8: up and obviously ten thousand look the other way, and
- 27:18Speaker 8: you're going to take it? Are they going to kill
- 27:20Speaker 8: you and your family? I think Mexico will be a
- 27:22Speaker 8: much safer, a much prosper more prosperous country if they
- 27:24Speaker 8: let President Trump help them wipe the cartels off the face.
- 27:28Speaker 6: Of the ear.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Look that that is absolutely right. And let me underscore
- 27:31Speaker 2: that point. A lot of people don't realize, particularly those
- 27:34Speaker 2: on the left, that that what Joe Biden the Democrats did,
- 27:37Speaker 2: it wasn't just horribly cruel to the American people, it
- 27:41Speaker 2: was horribly cruel to Mexican nationals in Mexico. Turning these
- 27:47Speaker 2: vicious criminals into the most powerful economic force in Mexico
- 27:54Speaker 2: has increased the murder rate, the crime rate, the kidnapping
- 27:58Speaker 2: rate rate. I visit with a Mexican mayor of a
- 28:01Speaker 2: town on the other side of the border, and I'm
- 28:03Speaker 2: not going to say which mayor because he told me
- 28:06Speaker 2: in confidence because he was afraid, but he said in
- 28:09Speaker 2: his town they had had over three thousand disappearances, just
- 28:15Speaker 2: people Mexican nationals living in Mexico who just ran a
- 28:20Speaker 2: foul of the cartel and they just disappear, and they
- 28:22Speaker 2: find mass graves and the suffering and murder and kidnapping.
- 28:26Speaker 2: That that that that has happened in Mexico because of
- 28:30Speaker 2: the Democrats political decision I think was cruel and horrible.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And and Tom, You're exactly right that that the US
- 28:40Speaker 2: military can take out the cartels. And we've done it
- 28:42Speaker 2: before in Colombia. President Euribe asked the military to come
- 28:46Speaker 2: in and take out the cartels in Colombia, and we
- 28:48Speaker 2: came in and did that, and we could do it again.
- 28:51Speaker 2: And and I do think it would be much better
- 28:53Speaker 2: if the Mexican government invited us in. It would have
- 28:57Speaker 2: transformational impact within Mexico.
- 29:01Speaker 8: Yeah, let's say a lot of lives, like say lex
- 29:03Speaker 8: and cartoons have killed thousands of judges and prosecutors and journalists. Yeah,
- 29:09Speaker 8: and citizens. So you know, I wish they I wish
- 29:12Speaker 8: they'd joined with President Trump, and that would be a
- 29:14Speaker 8: game changer, Uh, for Mexico and the United States.
- 29:18Speaker 2: All right, final question. Uh, we saw just this week
- 29:22Speaker 2: that that New Jersey Democrat Congresswoman Lamonica mac Ivor was
- 29:26Speaker 2: charged for assaulting law enforcement at an ice facility. Uh,
- 29:31Speaker 2: tell me tell us how important that is and and
- 29:33Speaker 2: what do you think about about the fact that that
- 29:35Speaker 2: charges were brought for assault. We saw during the Biden
- 29:38Speaker 2: administration repeatedly, Uh, law enforcement Customs Border patrol ice agents
- 29:44Speaker 2: were subject to physical assault, no charges were brought. How
- 29:48Speaker 2: important is it that these charges were brought?
- 29:51Speaker 8: The SUNS of strong mentions is very important. It also
- 29:54Speaker 8: proves that on bluff I'd said them the David auguration.
- 29:58Speaker 8: If you want to not support ICE, well, but.
- 30:00Speaker 6: You have that right.
- 30:01Speaker 8: If you want to protest against ICE and to protest
- 30:03Speaker 8: against Trump's policies, that's fine. If you want to watch
- 30:06Speaker 8: ICE come in and clean your city up because you're
- 30:08Speaker 8: a sanctuary of city don't want to help, you can
- 30:10Speaker 8: do that too. But ICE had from day one. You
- 30:12Speaker 8: can't cross that line. You can't cross the line on impediment,
- 30:15Speaker 8: that's a felony. You can't cross the line on noialing
- 30:18Speaker 8: and harboring, concealing and they will go amis mice, that's
- 30:21Speaker 8: a felony. You certainly can't commit criminal trespasses at our facilities,
- 30:25Speaker 8: and for God's sake, you can't put hands on i
- 30:28Speaker 8: ICE officers. And this happened during the same time frame.
- 30:31Speaker 8: The same week I went to Blue Mass in Washington,
- 30:34Speaker 8: d c. And remembrance of the men and women in
- 30:37Speaker 8: law enforce and put their lives on the lines of
- 30:39Speaker 8: this country every day. So we spent a week just
- 30:42Speaker 8: just just praising these men and women, talking to their
- 30:45Speaker 8: families who also paid the ultimate sacrifice. They lost the
- 30:48Speaker 8: loved one forever. Children lost their fathers and mothers, and
- 30:51Speaker 8: mothers and fathers lost their sons and daughters in the
- 30:53Speaker 8: same week we're supposed to be honor in law enforcement.
- 30:55Speaker 8: You got some of the member Congress putting their hands
- 30:58Speaker 8: in shoving an ice officer, which makes that facility very unsafe.
- 31:01Speaker 8: And I'm sick and tired of hearing what we have
- 31:03Speaker 8: Congressional oversight responsibilities. There is a right way and wrong
- 31:06Speaker 8: way to do it. You don't force your way in
- 31:08Speaker 8: the facility. You don't put hands on an officer's We
- 31:12Speaker 8: do oversight all the time. And what are they finding
- 31:15Speaker 8: out as people are getting tours in that facility that
- 31:17Speaker 8: they have the highest detention standards in the industry, and
- 31:21Speaker 8: it puts every every other UH detention center in jail
- 31:26Speaker 8: in the state of New Jersey, whether it is a
- 31:28Speaker 8: county or state. It puts them to shame because our
- 31:32Speaker 8: detention standards are so high. So when you go and
- 31:34Speaker 8: calls that kind of practice where we're trying to maintain
- 31:37Speaker 8: a facility with very dangerous people inside, we got to
- 31:41Speaker 8: protect not only the criminals, we gotta protect the employees
- 31:44Speaker 8: and the citizens on the outside. What she did was
- 31:46Speaker 8: just horrendous. She she put hands on an officer. Like
- 31:50Speaker 8: they said for four years, no one's above the law.
- 31:53Speaker 8: You're damn right. They're not above the law, even members
- 31:55Speaker 8: of Congress. The president is above the law, but these
- 31:57Speaker 8: are members of Congress.
- 31:59Speaker 1: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Sentner,
