- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your things? Got it? Uh huh? I
- 2:02Speaker 1: show will a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 1: got a radio show, man o man on man Wow.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I think about all the things God has done for
- 2:19Speaker 1: me is overwhelming at times. And I want everybody to
- 2:23Speaker 1: have that feeling and to sharing that feeling of completion
- 2:27Speaker 1: and satisfaction. And the only reason I got this, and
- 2:30Speaker 1: it's the thousands time I've said it, is because I
- 2:34Speaker 1: formed a relationship with my creator. Period. That's it. That's it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: That's it. I can't tell you is anything else else.
- 2:42Speaker 1: You know, I've always had a strong work ethic. My
- 2:45Speaker 1: father put that in me. My father's conversations with me
- 2:48Speaker 1: growing up was always constantly about work hard, don't be lazy,
- 2:53Speaker 1: be a man, do what you say you're gonna do.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Y'ada y'ada, y'ada, YadA, YadA. Man. I was so tired
- 2:58Speaker 1: of my father at times, I was going, Man, what
- 3:00Speaker 1: is with this dude? Right here? Man, every time we
- 3:03Speaker 1: have a conversation, it's got to be about work. It's
- 3:05Speaker 1: got to be about, you know, man, doing your best,
- 3:09Speaker 1: trying hard, you know, working, being honest, do what you
- 3:13Speaker 1: say you're gonna do. But that was his mission. I
- 3:17Speaker 1: can't tell you how much I appreciate that now. I
- 3:20Speaker 1: can't even I can't even put it into words when
- 3:23Speaker 1: I think about my old man and what he was
- 3:26Speaker 1: to me, and I just saw, Man, I'm so grateful
- 3:31Speaker 1: for that balance I had in my life. And then
- 3:34Speaker 1: my father was a fighter. If he fought on the weekends.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You know, my father used to come home with his was,
- 3:42Speaker 1: his clothes toe off of him. He put a fresh
- 3:45Speaker 1: shirt on, and he go back. My mom used to
- 3:47Speaker 1: talk about my father fighting all the times. Nick, Why
- 3:50Speaker 1: you're always fighting? You know a little bit of that
- 3:53Speaker 1: rubbed off on me too. You know that that kind
- 3:55Speaker 1: of got into me, and I didn't understand that either.
- 3:59Speaker 1: But then on the same in turn, my mother was
- 4:01Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher for forty years, so her conversation
- 4:04Speaker 1: was never about fighting or anything. It was all about
- 4:07Speaker 1: love and understanding and doing another that you would add
- 4:10Speaker 1: him do unto you. My mom was a Sunday school teacher,
- 4:12Speaker 1: so I I learned about faith. I had to go
- 4:14Speaker 1: to Sunday school, prayer meeting, Bible study, young people meeting,
- 4:18Speaker 1: choir reheard, so you know, I was a churchman so
- 4:21Speaker 1: much I was actually looking at that's got to be
- 4:24Speaker 1: an alternative to this, you know. I want you know
- 4:27Speaker 1: I was a little kid even I was thinking at
- 4:30Speaker 1: one point, maybe all the looking ale because it's gotta
- 4:33Speaker 1: be something cooler than this going on every day. It
- 4:36Speaker 1: got that crazy for me. But the balance between those
- 4:39Speaker 1: two people created who I am today. And I want
- 4:43Speaker 1: you to understand that the things that you are in
- 4:46Speaker 1: your past have helped create who you are today. If
- 4:50Speaker 1: you view it the right way. Everything that has happened
- 4:54Speaker 1: to you in your past has happened to you for
- 4:57Speaker 1: a reason, and it's usually for the good if you
- 5:02Speaker 1: view it that way. But if you on the other hand,
- 5:07Speaker 1: or type of person who can't move forward because you
- 5:10Speaker 1: are allowing your past to stop you from having your future.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Then you, my friend, are doing a disservice to your life.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You are not honoring God's blessings. You are not taking
- 5:25Speaker 1: advantage of the gain, knowledge, wisdom, and experience of your life. Example,
- 5:33Speaker 1: if you are a woman and you are always talking
- 5:39Speaker 1: about a formal relationship, what he did to me. If
- 5:44Speaker 1: he had not did this to me, I wouldn't be
- 5:47Speaker 1: in this place today. I thought I had a man.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Now I ain't got no man. Ah la la la
- 5:56Speaker 1: la la. If I you know, he came along and
- 6:00Speaker 1: I was doing just swell. He just came in and
- 6:03Speaker 1: he just lied to me. He lied to me. Now
- 6:06Speaker 1: that he did this to me, Then he cheated, then
- 6:09Speaker 1: he left. All of that that you're saying can very
- 6:13Speaker 1: well be true. Have you thought that maybe maybe somewhere
- 6:21Speaker 1: in God's infinite wisdom, that he knew that you had
- 6:27Speaker 1: made a mistake in picking him anyway? Maybe he knew
- 6:33Speaker 1: you had made a mistake in saying yes, or I
- 6:36Speaker 1: do to him anyway, or come on, move in, And
- 6:42Speaker 1: so what he did was based on your decision. Now
- 6:46Speaker 1: to say yes I do, or come on, let's move
- 6:49Speaker 1: in together. That was your decision. You ain't go to
- 6:52Speaker 1: him about this one. You made this decision based on
- 6:56Speaker 1: that decision, and all the negative things started happening. He
- 7:01Speaker 1: allowed you to get away from it. Now how you
- 7:05Speaker 1: got away from it, It's always not the choice of ours. See,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you stuck on the fact that he left, that he
- 7:13Speaker 1: walked out. But let me share this with you. When
- 7:16Speaker 1: he was there, how good was he to you? How
- 7:19Speaker 1: good was he for you? See? You got to you
- 7:22Speaker 1: got to stand. You got to look at the blessing.
- 7:25Speaker 1: The blessing is. Now you are on your own. Now
- 7:30Speaker 1: you walk in your house. Ain't nobody in there with
- 7:32Speaker 1: a disruptive spirit. Now you go home. You can take
- 7:36Speaker 1: your clothes off and walk around like you want to.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Now you go home, you can sit down and look
- 7:42Speaker 1: at TV or catch your breath if you want to.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Your kids don't have to see you're arguing all the time.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Have you looked at the blessing in it? But now
- 7:54Speaker 1: if you're gonna keep looking at the negative, then guess what.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Now you can't move forward because you keep allowing your
- 8:02Speaker 1: past to keep you from moving forward. If God has
- 8:07Speaker 1: bought you through it. Why don't you move on from it? Look,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you got through it. He gone on, He ain't coming back.
- 8:15Speaker 1: He got somebody else. So you're gonna sit there and
- 8:18Speaker 1: just keep tripping costs. He gone and he got somebody else.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And pick yourself up. Thank God for the blessing. It
- 8:26Speaker 1: didn't feel like a blessing. Why you was going through
- 8:29Speaker 1: it and all the pain of him leaving and the
- 8:31Speaker 1: divorce and all that messed you up? Got it when
- 8:35Speaker 1: you get through it, all of that. You ain't the
- 8:37Speaker 1: first one being left. You ain't the first woman been divorced.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You ain't the first one been in a bad relationship.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Pick yourself up, Thank God for the blessing, and move
- 8:48Speaker 1: forward in your life, because maybe when you quit complaining,
- 8:53Speaker 1: maybe you'll find out that God has something in store
- 8:56Speaker 1: for you that he wants you to have, but he
- 8:59Speaker 1: can't get of it to you if you ain't grateful.
- 9:02Speaker 1: So God gives you a blessing, But because you don't
- 9:05Speaker 1: see it as a blessing, you ain't grateful for it. Now,
- 9:08Speaker 1: guess what, You steady asking God to do something for you,
- 9:12Speaker 1: but you ain't thanking him for what he's done for you,
- 9:14Speaker 1: but you steady wanting him to do more. How does
- 9:17Speaker 1: that work? How does that work? Man? That he should
- 9:21Speaker 1: keep on giving you things when you ain't even working
- 9:24Speaker 1: with the stuff he didn't gave you. It's like your child.
- 9:29Speaker 1: If you keep buying your child a toy, and your
- 9:31Speaker 1: child keeps teying his toys up, at one point, you're
- 9:34Speaker 1: gonna say, hey, look, I'm not buying you nothing until
- 9:37Speaker 1: you learn how to take better care of the things
- 9:39Speaker 1: you bought. And that's only right that you teach your
- 9:41Speaker 1: child the value of a dollar, the value of respecting
- 9:46Speaker 1: my work ethic that I've done for you, tell me
- 9:49Speaker 1: why it's got to work different? Just because he God,
- 9:53Speaker 1: and just cause you're dining here with your lips stuck
- 9:55Speaker 1: out about something. I just think that that's how it works.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It just makes common sense to me. So you steady,
- 10:03Speaker 1: Oh lord, I ain't had a man since you ain't
- 10:05Speaker 1: ready for no man. You ain't ready for a man.
- 10:08Speaker 1: How are you gonna? How are you? Man? You? You
- 10:10Speaker 1: messed with somebody else? Man? And you and you over
- 10:13Speaker 1: here still harping on the man you had that was
- 10:15Speaker 1: doing you dirty at the house. What what you what
- 10:18Speaker 1: you're gonna do? With another man, and I don't know,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and I'm just I'm just using that one example. It
- 10:23Speaker 1: could go for me and two vice versa, and so
- 10:25Speaker 1: on and so far. I'm just using that as an example. Now,
- 10:29Speaker 1: why I laid on that one so long? You take
- 10:32Speaker 1: that out with God? That's all just thread. I ain't
- 10:34Speaker 1: pointing fingers that nobody and nothing, because I've been guilty
- 10:38Speaker 1: on both sides of the coin. Who am I? But
- 10:41Speaker 1: I'm just sharing with you what I had to do.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I had to learn to stop allowing my past to
- 10:47Speaker 1: interfere with my future. I was who I was and
- 10:52Speaker 1: I am who I am, and I'm cool with both
- 10:55Speaker 1: of them. People, you're ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the
- 11:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show on this rather glorious day. Shirley Strawberry, Hey,
- 11:10Speaker 1: good morning, Stephen is very glorious callin for real. Hey, Hey,
- 11:14Speaker 1: hey crew, what's happening? Hasty? What's up? Junior? Jimmy Ethane, Happiness,
- 11:24Speaker 1: don't live here anymore? The food the root. You're in
- 11:38Speaker 1: a good mood todaysty love baby. Yeah, I just feel
- 11:43Speaker 1: like we're off to such a you know, if it
- 11:46Speaker 1: feels like it's afternoon. We just got here, you must
- 11:51Speaker 1: have got some rest. Then if it feels like that, ah,
- 11:54Speaker 1: we ain't just got here. Yeah, any earlier it would
- 11:59Speaker 1: be godly Okay, I've been up anywhere. It don't matter. Yeah. Well,
- 12:09Speaker 1: you know, like what I've discovered is when I can't
- 12:11Speaker 1: sleep at night, I don't later tossing in turns. I
- 12:14Speaker 1: get up and see what God is trying to tell me. Yeah,
- 12:17Speaker 1: I mean, That's what I've learned about it. Whenever I'm
- 12:20Speaker 1: troubled and sleeping and tossing in turn it can't get
- 12:22Speaker 1: back to sleep. I gonna wake up for some reason
- 12:24Speaker 1: and can't go back. I just get on up, give
- 12:27Speaker 1: me a little couple of tea or something, and see
- 12:29Speaker 1: what God is trying to say to me. And he
- 12:32Speaker 1: always is saying something to him. So I've learned that
- 12:35Speaker 1: that's been a really good thing for me. We do
- 12:39Speaker 1: it different me. I mean I'm doing I'm doing different
- 12:43Speaker 1: for him. What do you mean When I wake up
- 12:45Speaker 1: I think something going on, I take my baseball back
- 12:47Speaker 1: and walk through the house and make sure it ain't
- 12:48Speaker 1: no right around here in my house. That's what I do.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I want to see. We have two different relationships. We're
- 12:54Speaker 1: working with the coasters. There could be that something might
- 13:00Speaker 1: be he might be out there. Let me check. And
- 13:02Speaker 1: you watch forensic file that I don't know why I
- 13:10Speaker 1: love it. I can't watch it. I've seen all of
- 13:13Speaker 1: my things. Wo, you've seen all of what I think.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I've seen every forensic file they got, I've seen those
- 13:22Speaker 1: in forty eight hours. Yeah right there, man. You know, man,
- 13:29Speaker 1: it's a it's a sad situation when you watch for
- 13:32Speaker 1: the eight hours of how people throw their lives away
- 13:35Speaker 1: on some of the most ridiculous crimes and how much
- 13:40Speaker 1: regret they have so many people that have lost their
- 13:42Speaker 1: lives over simple things. YEA, yeah, it's really sad, man,
- 13:49Speaker 1: It really really is. But nothing is this This last
- 13:53Speaker 1: week has been really, really troubling, and you know that's why.
- 13:58Speaker 1: And I look you, we've got to get to these
- 14:01Speaker 1: polls and vote because we don't even like what our
- 14:04Speaker 1: leadership is saying when tragedy strikes this country. Because he
- 14:08Speaker 1: doesn't even know what to say. We got to get
- 14:11Speaker 1: some other people around him to create a check in balance,
- 14:15Speaker 1: because if it goes the way he wants it to go,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I can assure you is not going to go well
- 14:19Speaker 1: for the common man, we've got to vote, y'all. I
- 14:23Speaker 1: voted already. You voted early, Carla voted early. Junior, Yeah, yeah, alright. Well,
- 14:31Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour, migrant caravan.
- 14:35Speaker 1: The President is headed to Pittsburgh today. Uh, we'll talk
- 14:39Speaker 1: about it right after this at thirty two after you're
- 14:42Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Show. President Trump is really serious,
- 14:47Speaker 1: guys about keeping that migrant caravan from reaching the US.
- 14:51Speaker 1: He'll reportedly deploy fifty active duty troops to the US
- 14:56Speaker 1: Mexico border to keep the migrants out by the end
- 14:59Speaker 1: of the week. It's called Operation Faithful Patriot. Though they
- 15:03Speaker 1: are barred by law from conducting law enforcement, they'll provide
- 15:07Speaker 1: support for border agents. So see right there. Yeah, somebody
- 15:12Speaker 1: gonna get hurt with this too. It's not gonna be good.
- 15:16Speaker 1: But you know what, they will justify whatever happens down there.
- 15:21Speaker 1: They will justify whatever we're living in sometimes where I'm
- 15:26Speaker 1: just saying, listen, everybody, you've got to vote. This vote
- 15:33Speaker 1: this election. You have a say, so everybody's vote counts. Listen.
- 15:38Speaker 1: If there was no electoral College vote, if there was
- 15:41Speaker 1: no electoral vote, Hillary Clinton would be president. Now would
- 15:45Speaker 1: she be the perfect president. No, she wouldn't. I don't
- 15:48Speaker 1: believe so. But would she be a better president than
- 15:51Speaker 1: the one we have in terms of unification of the country.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I think so. I think absolutely. But here's addential. We've
- 16:01Speaker 1: got to get some people around him that a representative
- 16:05Speaker 1: of our views and our thoughts, because it can't be
- 16:09Speaker 1: a complete right wing affair. It will not service the
- 16:14Speaker 1: left wing or the liberal minded people. And you've got
- 16:19Speaker 1: to stop being complacent. The Republicans are far more galvanized
- 16:25Speaker 1: than we are as Democrats or independent and they know
- 16:29Speaker 1: that and they play on that. You know, Steve, I
- 16:33Speaker 1: went to vote um yesterday and because I wanted to
- 16:37Speaker 1: do early voting, and like we said, don't wait till
- 16:39Speaker 1: the last minute, get it out of the way. And
- 16:40Speaker 1: I asked you, the young lady that was at the desk,
- 16:43Speaker 1: you know, where do I go? What area do I
- 16:45Speaker 1: go to vote in? Because there was no signage out there?
- 16:48Speaker 1: And she said, oh, um, when is that? And she
- 16:53Speaker 1: asked me this. I went into straight mommy mode. I
- 16:57Speaker 1: was like, what what he works there? Yes, yes, she
- 17:01Speaker 1: asked me what. I was like, Look, baby, it's next Tuesday,
- 17:04Speaker 1: it's November six. You are registered, right? She said, oh, yeah, yeah,
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm registered. I said, well, look Tuesday, you gotta get
- 17:11Speaker 1: in there and vote. I need to get yours up
- 17:14Speaker 1: on your lunch break. Yes, go vote. She's like, okay, okay,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I promised. I said, okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna be
- 17:20Speaker 1: back to make sure the machine I'm about to go
- 17:23Speaker 1: use is the one you can go. Yes. I was like,
- 17:26Speaker 1: oh my god, why aren't we reaching these people? Now?
- 17:29Speaker 1: You know something. Here's another thing, President Trump. It's supposed
- 17:34Speaker 1: to go today too, uh, Pittsburgh to the synagogue and
- 17:40Speaker 1: the first lady is going to accompany him with his
- 17:42Speaker 1: daughter Ivanka and Jared are going who are Jewish, and
- 17:46Speaker 1: her husband. Uh. The synagogue has said they don't want
- 17:51Speaker 1: him to come unless he denounces quite nationalists groups and
- 18:00Speaker 1: um and he hasn't done it. Okay, So if they
- 18:03Speaker 1: don't want him to, he just gonna show up anyway.
- 18:06Speaker 1: He could be in the park's Yeah, it's on his calendar,
- 18:08Speaker 1: it's on his agenda. But he's gonna go because the
- 18:12Speaker 1: rabbi that was conducting the service when the shooting started
- 18:15Speaker 1: said that Trump is certainly welcome. Yeah, he did say that.
- 18:18Speaker 1: He did say that, but the congregation isn't want that. Yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and that's just that's the same. And other citizens of
- 18:26Speaker 1: people that live in that area and other citizens of Pittsburgh,
- 18:29Speaker 1: they are against it, just like Steve said there, against
- 18:32Speaker 1: the president coming because of his tone, because of his rhetoric,
- 18:36Speaker 1: this polarizing stuff that first to focus on him down there.
- 18:42Speaker 1: So I'll just wait, but he won't do that. He
- 18:44Speaker 1: definitely know he's gonna act like he cares. But then
- 18:49Speaker 1: all you gotta do is wait and go watch him
- 18:52Speaker 1: when he tweets or goes to his rallies, because the
- 18:55Speaker 1: real Trump comes out. He's not reading from the teleprompter.
- 18:58Speaker 1: He's getting those round of applaus and he's doing that
- 19:01Speaker 1: set and he gets real comfortable around his own And
- 19:06Speaker 1: so listen to me, you all, if you all are
- 19:08Speaker 1: frustrated with these rallies, These people who clap for every
- 19:14Speaker 1: demeaning remark he made when he made fun of disabled people,
- 19:19Speaker 1: They clap when they call talked about Maxine Waters. They clap.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Now he down there talking about Andrew Gillum. You want
- 19:26Speaker 1: to vote for the other guy because he's a Harvard
- 19:28Speaker 1: and ill educated man. Hell are you talking about? So
- 19:36Speaker 1: We've got to get out here and vote in Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, Texas.
- 19:42Speaker 1: These are big elections, man, for Jinia. The Carolina's where
- 19:47Speaker 1: we can we can make a difference. The electoral college.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Voter is not into plays who gets the most votes.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Do not be complacent and sit at home on your
- 19:58Speaker 1: tail because you are liberal a Democrat and you just
- 20:02Speaker 1: ain't nothing gonna make no difference, man, oh Man, think
- 20:08Speaker 1: if you think you'll vote don't count. Why are you
- 20:10Speaker 1: thinking that? Why you think they're making it hard in
- 20:12Speaker 1: some places to vote, voter if you don't think your
- 20:18Speaker 1: vote counts. Why is he campaigning so hard? Yeah, because
- 20:22Speaker 1: he knows if Democrats get in there, he can't run
- 20:26Speaker 1: wild like he's doing right. And all we need is
- 20:29Speaker 1: enough people to come out and vote so we can
- 20:31Speaker 1: change the House in the Senate. Then he won't be
- 20:33Speaker 1: able to do what he's been able to do so freely.
- 20:38Speaker 1: You know, people will stop him. He'll he'll realize that
- 20:41Speaker 1: he's worked for the people. Let me play some. If
- 20:44Speaker 1: you are really knew what was in that tax bill,
- 20:47Speaker 1: y'all would be stunned. You would be stunned. You mean
- 20:50Speaker 1: the tax bill that he passed that he got that
- 20:54Speaker 1: he touted to such a great deal. Oh the common man.
- 20:59Speaker 1: A it's about five hundred dollars when you get through
- 21:02Speaker 1: the doing it right. But buddy, what he gave to
- 21:06Speaker 1: the rich is unbelievable. Spoken from a rich man's mouth.
- 21:12Speaker 1: You heard that? So you know us up, Steve, Yes,

- 31:03Speaker 1: a part of blexit dot com launch, which represents a
- 31:07Speaker 1: movement for Black Americans who leave the Democratic Party. The
- 31:10Speaker 1: shirts are reportedly available in traffic cone, orange, teal, and
- 31:14Speaker 1: lavender with logos that bread blexit or we Free, we Free. Yeah,
- 31:24Speaker 1: n seventy three dollars, we broke. But you know what, See,
- 31:33Speaker 1: Kanye need to go head on with that now, because see, brother,
- 31:36Speaker 1: first of all, you if you're going to make a
- 31:40Speaker 1: statement like this, you're gonna have to make it from
- 31:42Speaker 1: some type of educated sound backing. And what you're asking
- 31:48Speaker 1: these blacks to do is to desert the Democratic Party
- 31:53Speaker 1: for what when we need them the most right now?
- 31:56Speaker 1: But but, but, but give me the reasons why all

- 32:47Speaker 1: He was his father, Yeah, he was yea, his wife
- 32:54Speaker 1: and getting Alice Johnson prison reform. That ain't got nothing
- 32:59Speaker 1: to do with being Republican. But he can at least,
- 33:02Speaker 1: you know, right, he can say it a different way,
- 33:04Speaker 1: like you say, Steve, Like make the Democrats be held accountable,
- 33:08Speaker 1: you know, for taking us for granted, you know, for
- 33:11Speaker 1: taking their constituents for granted. Things like that. He can say,

- 33:20Speaker 1: this is not This is not cool. You cannot give
- 33:25Speaker 1: me a handful of reasons why this should be done.

- 34:07Speaker 1: got on Superman. Kate. This is way more important than
- 34:10Speaker 1: him giving you an audience at the White House with
- 34:12Speaker 1: all them damn cameras sitting up here pulling out the phone.

- 41:36Speaker 1: other people sit in, and we can't count on other
- 41:39Speaker 1: people taking our interests to heart. You know, we can't
- 41:43Speaker 1: count on somebody else who doesn't know us, doesn't know
- 41:45Speaker 1: our neighbors, doesn't know our neighborhood, doesn't know our struggle
- 41:49Speaker 1: to do what's right for us. So we have to
- 41:52Speaker 1: do that, not to just vote every couple of years
- 41:54Speaker 1: or to wait for mid terms. But I think this
- 41:56Speaker 1: is something we have to be talking about all the time. First,
- 42:00Speaker 1: I mean, she's that's eloquence. Now you want the other side.
- 42:08Speaker 1: We got no damn bar to sitting around at the
- 42:10Speaker 1: house acting like this is gonna get better. And if
- 42:13Speaker 1: we don't do better, and the only way this thing
- 42:16Speaker 1: get better is we got to start voting. See here's
- 42:19Speaker 1: the deal. President Trump is calling on everybody to vote Republicans.
- 42:25Speaker 1: They have an add out that's saying this country, if
- 42:28Speaker 1: you're afraid of immigrants and losing your job and burning
- 42:32Speaker 1: the flag and and socialism and all of this right here,
- 42:35Speaker 1: or vote for Democrat is a vote for all of this.
- 42:38Speaker 1: That's not true. That's not true. We have to get
- 42:43Speaker 1: out and vote to show him that we matter. See
- 42:49Speaker 1: right now, they're playing on the fact that you're gonna
- 42:52Speaker 1: be complacent and ain't gonna vote just like we always
- 42:57Speaker 1: do in these mea terms. These MEA terms have to
- 43:00Speaker 1: be different. We can no longer sit out and not vote,
- 43:06Speaker 1: and we went to the polls in two thousand and eight,
- 43:08Speaker 1: we went to the pos in two thousand twelve, and
- 43:10Speaker 1: we got what we wanted. But then when he asked
- 43:16Speaker 1: us to come to the mere terms, well, we got
- 43:20Speaker 1: the president in and we messed around and we let
- 43:22Speaker 1: them get control of the House, and then nothing Obama
- 43:25Speaker 1: wanted to do from two thousand twelve to sixteen went through,
- 43:29Speaker 1: and he just had to just pass stuff by executive order.
- 43:32Speaker 1: And when you do that, Donald Trump comes right in
- 43:35Speaker 1: on the day he sent down and got rid of
- 43:37Speaker 1: a hundred things first day, as soon as he got in.
- 43:42Speaker 1: And it's how many lines, about five thousands? Yeah, And
- 43:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna listening to me. Man. If you're sick of
- 43:50Speaker 1: the way you're being governed, about this government and this president,
- 43:56Speaker 1: you have to do something about it. You've got to vote.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Sit down. You can no longer sit on your buttet anymore.
- 44:03Speaker 1: You can't do it. You don't have that luxury anymore. Folks.
- 44:06Speaker 1: We got to vote millennials. We have to vote old people.
- 44:10Speaker 1: You got to vote sitting up in here, man like this.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Go get We're gonna pray about it. You got to vote.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Faith without works is dead. There you go. You're sitting
- 44:27Speaker 1: up in here always talking about you're gonna pray about something,
- 44:30Speaker 1: but then you don't want to go down to the
- 44:31Speaker 1: polls and vote. You're gonna pray to get a job,
- 44:34Speaker 1: but then you ain't gonna going nowhere and put no
- 44:35Speaker 1: application in whatw you? Thank God operate. You gotta give
- 44:40Speaker 1: him something to bless. We got to go vote. If
- 44:43Speaker 1: you're sitting up in these churches and time I ain't
- 44:45Speaker 1: mentioned it voting, you need to get out of them
- 44:48Speaker 1: because all they're telling you man't look my reward. My
- 44:52Speaker 1: only reward cannot be when I die. Amen. I got
- 44:58Speaker 1: to get something while I'm here. But that's scriptured though
- 45:01Speaker 1: the Bible says that He comes to give you life
- 45:04Speaker 1: and give you life more abundantly. He said life, not
- 45:09Speaker 1: just after you die. But why are you here? We
- 45:13Speaker 1: got to vote, man, this is a critical election. Let
- 45:19Speaker 1: him say it needs to be seen. No, that's not
- 45:24Speaker 1: going to be Sunday sermon. And I tell you what,
- 45:27Speaker 1: don't go down there see what I do. We're one
- 45:30Speaker 1: week away. Please go vote up next it is a
- 45:34Speaker 1: nephew with a prank phone call. Right after this, you're

- 55:20Speaker 1: up here. It is Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject
- 55:24Speaker 1: I want my husband to accept my male friend. Here
- 55:28Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. In March of this year, my husband and
- 55:31Speaker 1: I separated and he moved out of the house. During
- 55:34Speaker 1: our separation, I started talking to a guy I met
- 55:37Speaker 1: at work. We started hanging out as friends and we
- 55:41Speaker 1: ended up having sex. Eventually. My new friend was aware
- 55:44Speaker 1: of the problem to my husband and I were having,
- 55:46Speaker 1: and he was supportive. I recently told a friend that
- 55:49Speaker 1: my husband and I were trying to work things out
- 55:51Speaker 1: in our marriage, and he understood. We remained as friends
- 55:55Speaker 1: with benefits until my husband moved back in with me.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Now my husband is back home, my friend and I
- 56:02Speaker 1: have not had sex, and I no longer see him
- 56:05Speaker 1: in that way. We are just friends now, and he
- 56:08Speaker 1: has a new girlfriend that he really likes. So here's
- 56:11Speaker 1: my problem. I'm tired of hiding my friendship with this guy.
- 56:15Speaker 1: He and I enjoy hanging out with each other, and
- 56:18Speaker 1: I don't want to do it in sacred anymore. I
- 56:20Speaker 1: don't want my husband to see me out with this guy,
- 56:23Speaker 1: find a text message, or see him calling me, and
- 56:25Speaker 1: then suspect that I'm cheating on him. My question is
- 56:29Speaker 1: should I introduce my friend to my husband. I want
- 56:32Speaker 1: to clear the air and tell my husband that my
- 56:35Speaker 1: friend and I had a sexual relationship, but it was
- 56:38Speaker 1: when he and I were separated, so it shouldn't matter.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Or should I just keep it to myself. I could
- 56:43Speaker 1: just end the friendship, but this guy has become such
- 56:46Speaker 1: a big part of my life. What should I do? No? No, No, Okay,
- 56:52Speaker 1: you can't share this with your husband. You just can't.
- 56:55Speaker 1: I I guarantee you he's not going to take it
- 56:58Speaker 1: like you think he will, or um like you think
- 57:01Speaker 1: he should. Even um, it's not gonna matter. If you
- 57:04Speaker 1: you were separated from your husband during the time you
- 57:07Speaker 1: have this affair with this guy, is not gonna matter.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Don't do this. Even if this guy is only a
- 57:11Speaker 1: friend to you. Right now, your husband is gonna figure
- 57:14Speaker 1: it out. He's not gonna wanna know about some quote
- 57:17Speaker 1: unquote friend you were having sex with. It's just not
- 57:20Speaker 1: gonna fly with him. I mean, I gotta tell you,
- 57:22Speaker 1: stay woke. This is not a good look. If you
- 57:25Speaker 1: want to get back and stay with your husband, you're
- 57:28Speaker 1: gonna have to learn that you can't tell everything. You
- 57:31Speaker 1: just can't tell everything. You have to keep some things
- 57:34Speaker 1: to yourself, and this is definitely one of those things.
- 57:38Speaker 1: No to your ex boyfriend and your affair. No, Steve,
- 57:46Speaker 1: my friend and I had a sexual relationship, but it
- 57:50Speaker 1: was when he and I were separated, So it shouldn't
- 57:52Speaker 1: matter what your lady. Yeah, let me read this again,
- 58:04Speaker 1: this had to end the ladder. I had a sexual relationship,
- 58:07Speaker 1: but it was when he and I were separated, so
- 58:12Speaker 1: it shouldn't matter what you did. You read one more
- 58:17Speaker 1: times of me like I want to let me read
- 58:25Speaker 1: a little bit mody. I want to clear the air
- 58:28Speaker 1: and tell my husband that my friend and I had
- 58:31Speaker 1: a sexual relationship, but it was when here and I
- 58:34Speaker 1: was separated, so it shouldn't matter what along the pause
- 58:44Speaker 1: I pick out it was a longer sentence. I read, yeah,
- 58:49Speaker 1: I'm reading one more time, and then pause it longer,
- 58:53Speaker 1: so yeah. Effect My question is should I introduce my
- 58:59Speaker 1: friend of my husband. I want to clear the air
- 59:03Speaker 1: and tell my husband that my friend and I had
- 59:07Speaker 1: a sexual relationship, but it was print here and I
- 59:10Speaker 1: was separated, so it shouldn't matter what I like a
- 59:20Speaker 1: little tracking almost crack, Okay, you know the subject. I
- 59:34Speaker 1: want my husband to accept my male friend. First of all,
- 59:39Speaker 1: let me just clear up this for you. Not many
- 59:45Speaker 1: of us except our wives, having male friends, not many
- 59:51Speaker 1: of us. That are exceptions, but not many. But CHRS
- 59:55Speaker 1: is deeper than this. Though. In March of this year,
- 59:59Speaker 1: you and your husband separated. He moved out of the
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: house and then you started talking to this guy you
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: met at work. You ain't met him at work, he's
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: been there. We started hanging out as friends and we
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: ended up having sex eventually. Okay, we ended up having
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: sex eventually. My new friend was aware of the problems
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: with my husband I was having and he was supported.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Then I told you, friend of my husband, I was
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: trying to work things out in the manage, and he understood.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: We remark you know why you understood, because that's all
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: he wanted from you anyway. See, lady, now I want
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you to I want you to know how men are.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Now once he see you fit to get back to
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: your husband. Cool, That's all I wanted anyway. So now
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I want you to know who you're gonna risk your
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: marriage over again by introducing this guy too. I recently
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: told my friend now we was trying to work things out,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and he understood. We remained as friends with benefits. You
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: kept screwing and to my husband moved back in with me.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: That's how we're gonna go in. Maybe we needed right there.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: What Now that my husband has moved back here with
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: me and my husband is back home, my friend and
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I have had not not had sex, and I don't
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: no longer see him that way. We're just friends now,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: and he got a new girlfriend that he really likes.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: So here's my problem. I'm tired of hide my friendship
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: with this guy. Here and I joy hanging out with
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: each other, and I don't want to do it in
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: secret anymore. What you want to do this secret? No more? Yeah,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: he and I enjoy hanging out. I don't want seeking up.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I don't want my husband to see me out with
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: this guy. Come on, you find a text message? What
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I see him calling me and suspect that I'm cheating
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: on him? Let what We'll be back with? What after
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: you're listening to show? All right? Come on, Steve, let's
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: recap today's letter. I want my husband to accept my
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: male friend. People in hell won't ice water. You want
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: your husband accept my male friend that he don't know
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: nothing about, though, See, so what you're fit to do
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: is interject some brand new news to your husband. While
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: y'all were separated, you started having sexual this dude, he
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: your new friend. Then you told your friend and your
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: husband trying to get it back together. He said they understood,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: but we remained the friends with benefits until my husband
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: moved back in with me. Now my husband's back home.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: My friend and I've not had sex, and I no
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: longer see him in that way. We're just friends now
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: and he got new girlfriend he really liked though. So
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: here my problem. I'm tired of hiding my friendship with
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: this guy. What he and I enjoy hanging out with
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: each other. And I don't want to do it this
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: secret no more. I don't want to do it this
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: secret no more. But what did you playing on doing?
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: That's that's what it's supposed to be, this in secret.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: I don't want my husband to see me out with
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: this guy, find a text Mexic or see him calling
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: me and suspect that I'm cheating on him. My question
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: is m My question is should I introduce my friend
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: to my hub? Nothing can ask a question? Um, Can
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: J be the girl I was gonna ask? I was
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: gonna let's do a re enactment, Jay, I want you
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: to try to help. Can I get help with a
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: younger name? Because my name is okay, Sequida, Okayquia. This
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: got to be some young people. Don't ask you to Quita.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: You coming in the house to Terreil and you fin
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: to tell me to Reil that you're trying to find
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: a way to break it to me that you was
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: seeing this man make another name because my son Terrell
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: was swear. No, no, I'm telling you I know what's
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: gonna happen. Anybody talking about that's how we eat Dante Dante.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: All right, I'm done. You should quet he squet what
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: was happening? Nothing done? Nothing? Uh? Can I tell you
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: for a minute. Yeah, you know, I thought we might
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: go on in here since we're trying to work things out.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I want you to hold up on that. But hold
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: that thought. That's a good thought, that's a good thing.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I wanna tell you something first. Remember when I when
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: we broke up, Remember that time we had broke up? Baby,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: look little little look, Look, I know we went through
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: some hard time. You ain't gotta keep bringing all that up.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: How we because I know we broke up, baby, go
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: all that matter. We try to work it out. This
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: part is so important. Now let's go on in here. First,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: hold that thought because I want to. I want you
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: to keep energy. But remember when he when we had
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: kind of broke up, like when we were yeah, we
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: broke up. Yeah, yeah, you know I left, Yeah, and
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: then we got we had got back there. But in
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: between that time when you had left and when you
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: had come back, there's a lot of space and between.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: So what I don't want to talk to you about.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: Space ain't nothing to me, baby, Space You just time,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: time gone. You can't get it bad. Um. You know
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: we were just going in the back room here, I
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: tell you, we could just see. I'm trying. Okay, there
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: was a lot of space between when when you left
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: and when you came back. I know, baby, But that
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: whole time I was thinking about you. How can I
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: say this? This is I'm trying to tell you, Well,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: when you left, right and then you came back. The
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: space that was in between that something when you had left,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: when you had you when you say space, something got
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: in between it. What you mean something got in between
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: you because you wasn't here. You wasn't here at that time. Yeah,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and then you had came back. So I'm trying to focus.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: But remember now you customed me and told me you
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: know I did remember all that. Okay, but how can
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I school lord? This is like, oh lalla God, how
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: do I say these words? What happened? Well? Mmmm? Can't
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: tell him? Times I heard that and pick the money
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: for But anyway, um, um you there was a there
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: was a friend, There was a support friend because I
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: had I was going through a lot. This cool baby, Hey,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: look hey, look, everybody need a friend when he's going

- 1:07:39Speaker 1: He's a friend from the job and what he did?
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: The problem that I had, He just kind of spank
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: it out of me, you know, he just spake it

- 1:07:56Speaker 1: he spranked it out? You but what what what what? What?
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: What is figure speech or something? What that means? Well?
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: He words, I was going through things, and he got
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: behind me to really deal with this. You know what
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I'm saying? Hold on, hold on? You trying to say
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: that while I was gone that another man came in him? No,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: he was no, Okay, But but step I mean you
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: started having you What kind of friend is this? Real

- 1:08:36Speaker 1: I heard all that. We all had problems. That's why
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: I left. Now what kind of friend was it? Well?

- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I do. I got some ideas that can change the
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: team though. Really stuff they want to dude, you know,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: they want me to be coached, but I ain't got
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: time for that. You know. Plus, I ain't gonna be
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: able to coach because my weekends is crowding. I can't
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: be no on on weekend talking about no circles and exces.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: There's a whole lot of pimp stuff I got to
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: do on the weekend. Piping is at all time, hound
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: saying this in front and on Sunday, I got to
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: go to check to see. You know what I'm saying
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: they get on when they get to see these outfits.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: The pip game is real. It's man first Sunday, last
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: first Sunday. I dressed as the Yeah, I have the
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: velvet shoes, everything, everything but that little hat. They'd be wining.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I don't like them happy so well, you know I
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: like that boy, Baker Mayfield. Yeah him not man. First
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: one here white. We got black name, so we're gonna
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: keep him. And then the uniforms they ain't never like
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: the brown uniforms. First, they ain't got no fur on him.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, No one, they't one. No
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: damn where gonna where I can't win without fur? Well?
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: What time me Where you're gonna put the furred man
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: on the collar, the helmet, the college. Now you put
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: it on just on the column. Mean when you're gonna
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: put it. When you're gonna put on the collar, So
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: the crew neck, the crew neck, you're gonna put it there,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I put it. I'll put it fur right there and
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: on the bottom of the pants, right at the knee.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: You know how I got a look, Send let me
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: here with some firm man. They'd be killing it man.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: And then I'll tell you something else. We we we
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: we're gonna have to start practicing at night. That's the
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: other thing, because you know why you practice that night.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Pimps don't get up in the daytime. Man, you can
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: get my beauty. Man. If they practice at night, man,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: then they don't. See. If you practice at night, then
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: you'll remember what I told y'all instead of doing it
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: on the weekend, I don't practice. Ought to be right
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: before the game. That way they can remember what pol
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Monday folk talking about what we don't do on Sunday Sunday. Yeah,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: let me answer this. Is there a certain way you
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: want everybody's how on the team? No, no, no, see
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: we get to that later day. Had to cut them
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: jabs off. Only jis ticking them up. Eat helm down.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: Theyn't need these helm you see. All right, y'all want
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: me coming here. We'll be back with more and more
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after going you're
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Here
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: we go back with Pempen, who was offered the head
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: coaching job for the Cleveland Browns after Hugh Jackson was
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: doing the music. Yeah you got fine, man, that's they
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: call me. But I gotta make some drastic changes. They're
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: gonna be reading. They want me to be the game.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: I just think they want to change it. Now you're
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: cheer leader. Yeah, I like chili, but the one that
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: they ain't thick enough. What you want chilling? Some thick
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: girls I'm doing, you know what I'm saying, The skinny
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: little white girls they'd be having out there. You need
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: some thickles out there. One. But what about what about
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: when they do the pyramid and all of that. We're
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: doing all that. Just the pros don't do that. Pros
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: don't do perms. You must be talking about your little
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: girl cheering squad. Talk to you and Daddy Mold. I'm
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: in sugar, Daddy mond little phone just another thing now.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: I think the uniforms that just it's just too blatant.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: They ain't fly enough. Everybody got the same thing, I think. Yeah,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: y'all to pick its own color. Yeah, that way we
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: can confuse the other two. Some of the players got
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: on purple. Someone went lyme green. We get rid of
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: them helmets. Like I said, everybody where they hats. That's
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: a lot of concussions. Man. You need to help all
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: the concussions. What you wear about that phone? They got
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: concussion protocol, They got the little tent on the sideline.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: Shot in the head that gives somebody else a chance.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, this job. Yeah, and we
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: only get rid of the score boat. Okay, yeah, Browns
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: ain't one in a while. So we're here. We keep
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: mentioning their phone. You feel me? So you know, instead
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: of the skull Bold, let's just show movies and night
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: because ain't nothing happening on the field. Super Fly, the Math,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: Coffee Brown, you know, real movies. You want them to
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: wear the clicks that they wear. Do you want them
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: at least keep that? Well, they can put cleats on them,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: h but you know we got to wear platforms, platform clicks. Yeah,
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: instead of coming out there with that golf cart. Yah,
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: everybody needs the field in the cadillac with the limping seats.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: Yeah wow, the program like be slick, you know the man.
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: But real movies. But we don't need that school. We
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: need to keep interning. Were super Fly five games in
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: two years? When here we keep putting it up on
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: the stove. We don't need to announced, not unless we
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: win one. We said, damn having to get a win.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: We got a time the whole damn city was drinking
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: and the team is just out there with different color
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: uniforms and pimp hat. Yeah yeah, hereunds each player get
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: their own Christiness one that sounds like quin pimps. Crap
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: you I know that's right. We'll be back with more
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright. See, the
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: mid term election is next Tuesday. We've been talking about
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: it most of the morning November six, That is just
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: one week await today. Actually, former First Lady Michelle Obama
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: said on b ET that we have to step up
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: and vote. Take a listen. Everything that happens in our lives,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: you know, is affected by the political process. You know
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: how much our taxes are, whether we have clean water,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: you know how we're treated if we're a victim of
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: sexual assault, whether our streets are safe, whether there's justice
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: in our criminal justice system. So that's how we make change.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: And we can march, we can protest, we can be upset,
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: but we've got a couple that with the action of voting,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: because when we sit out, other people sit in and
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: We can't count on other people taking our interests to heart.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: You know, we can't count on somebody else who doesn't
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: know us, doesn't know our neighbors, doesn't know our neighborhood,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: doesn't know our struggle to do what's right for us.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: So we have to do that, not to just vote
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: every couple of years or to wait for mid terms.
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: But I think this is something we have to be
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: talking about all the time. First, let me, I mean,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: she's that's eloquence. Now you want the other side. We
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: got no damn bears to sitting around at the house
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: acting like this is gonna get better. And if we
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: don't do better, and only way this thing get better
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: is we got to start voting. See here's the deal.
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: President Trump is calling on everybody to vote Republican. They
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: have an add out that's saying this country, if you're
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: afraid of immigrants and losing your job and burning the
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: flag and and socialism and all of this right here,
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: or vote for Democrat is a vote for all of this.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: That's not true. That's not true. We have to get
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: out and vote to show him that we matter. See
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: right now, they're playing on the fact that you're gonna
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: be complacent and ain't gonna vote just like we always
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: do in these mea terms. These mea terms have to
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: be different. We can no longer sit out and not vote.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: And we went to the polls in two thousand and eight,
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: we went to the pos in two thousand twelve, and
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: we got what we wanted. But then when he asked
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: us to come to the mere terms, well, we got
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: the president in and we messed around, and we let
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: them get control of the House, and then nothing Obama
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: wanted to do from two thousand twelve to sixteen went through,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: and he just had to just pass stuff by executive order.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: And when you do that, Donald Trump comes right in
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: on the day he sent down and got rid of
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: a hundred first day as soon as he got in,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: and it's told how many lines about five thousand life. Yeah,
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: and I'm gonna listening to me. Man, If you're sick
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: of the way you're being governed, about this government and
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: this president, you have to do something about it. You've
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: got to vote. You can no longer sit on your
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: buttet anymore. You can't do it. You don't have that
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: luxury anymore. Volks. We got to vote. Millennials. We have
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: to vote, old people, you got to vote, right sitting
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: up in here, man like this gonna get We're gonna
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: pray about it. You got to vote. Faith without works
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: is dead. There you go. You're sitting up in here,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: always talking about you're gonna pray about something, but then
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: you don't want to go down to the polls and vote.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: We've got to go and vote. Please. The election day
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: is one week away in November six. Please go vote.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: We'll be back with our last break of the day
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: and Steve's closing remarks right after this at forty nine
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: after the hour. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: All right, Steve, last break of the day. Time for
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: your closing remarks. What do you have for us today?
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: My friend? Well, uh, hey, for my closing remarks that
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: dad choose to keep courage and people are uplifting people
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: and enlightening you all to some of the things I've
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: had to learn on my journey. And I'm not claiming
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: to know more than anybody else. I'm just talking to
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: people from a standpoint of just trying to be an
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: an encouraging person from my own standpoint, my own viewpoint.
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: You don't have to agree with anything I say. You
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: have to write to your own opinion, your own line
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: of thinking. So this is not a forced thing. This
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: is just, you know, words of encouragement at the end
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: of the show. So when you start in your day
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: and you're thinking about your road to success and happiness.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: I had a lot of challenges along the way that
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: I've had to learn how to overcome, and I've had
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: to find different methods and learn from more successful people
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: than myself how to get it done. One of the
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: major things that I learned, and this is very difficult
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: for me to do because of the most useless emotion
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: in the human spirit, which is guilt. Guilt serves no one,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: but because of guilt, I found it hard to implement
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: this that I'm about to share with you. You've heard
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: the old saying birds of a feather flock together. You've
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: heard association brings on participation. What that simply means is
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: if you have a goal in mind uh and aspiration
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: somewhere you're trying to get to to get there better, quicker, faster,
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: more peacefully, you have to surround yourself with like minded people.
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: Now this is hard to do, and I'm going to
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: tell you why. It's hard to do for me because
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: I was held to a certain amount of accountability by
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: people who just didn't want to see me leave them.
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: So as I began to change my life, change my direction,
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: leave Cleveland, move up, try to come up, do more,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: try to become more. Try not to be the person
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: that I used to be. They have words to hold
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: you to them, like, man, you gotta keep it real. Man, Hey, man,
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: don't forget where you come from. Now. Not forgetting where
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: you come from is important, but they're saying it from
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: the fact of what they really mean is keep it real.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: Don't forget where you come from. A lot of those
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: people simply mean don't leave us. And it's not your
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: obligation to take everybody with you. You've got to understand that.
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: Don't get hell to the emotion of guilt and keep
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: associating with people who don't mean you. Well. Now, look
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: that goes to something my father told me a long
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: time ago. He says, son, everybody come with you, can't
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: go with you. Some people are in your life for
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: certain periods of time it and that's just it. You
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: have to move on from them. Some of your friends
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: you just grew apart from some of your associates. You
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: just can't keep associating with them all the time. Some
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: of your people, you can meet him at the gym
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: and play ball, but you can't do nothing else with them.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: That's okay. Stop thinking that because a person labels you
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: their friend, that you now owe them awry. You don't
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: stop thinking like I hurt myself so many years hanging
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: onto people suffering from guilty. What's gonna happen today? Family?
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: What's gonna happen today? Ability to get another job? And
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: I've had people used me for years and for years
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: and for years. I finally gotten to the point where
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: I'm done with that. I finally gotten to the point
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: I started learning it a while back. But at sick one,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I'm so through with that. I'm so
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: through with feeling obligated to people who ain't really obligated
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: to me. And don't y'all all have them people in
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: your circle right now? Oh, you so obligated to them,
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: but are they really obligated to you? You always looking
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: out for their best interests, but do they ever look
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: out for your best interests? Association brings on participation if
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: you hang with a bunch of people that cuss all
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: the time, Eventually you're gonna be cussing. If you hang
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: with a lot of people who do drugs all the time,
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: every time they get together and you just gotta be
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: with them, eventually you're gonna be into drugs. It's just
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: a part of it. Association brings on participation. If you're
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: somewhere and people playing ping pong every day, you don't
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: think you're gonna pick up the powder one day, at
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: least give it a shot. It's how this works, man.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: So you owe it to yourself to prune the tree.
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: You owe it to yourself to take inventory. You owe
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: it to yourself to surround yourself with like minded people,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: to find people who are going the same direction you're going,
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: who want the same thing, same things you want. It's
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: nothing wrong with that, And I'll tell you something else too.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: It will show make your life a little bit smoother. Now,
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: that's not gonna make it easier, but it will make
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: it smoother. Wouldn't it be good to have somebody to
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: talk to that wasn't always telling you why it won't work.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: Y'all can't stand to have an idea and take it
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: to somebody in the first word out their mouth is
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: why it won't work. So then when they come up
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: with how it will work, all of a sudden, now
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: it's they idea. Man, how many times I've been around
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: people like that. Birds of a feather flock together. If
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: you hang with people who don't do nothing, eventually you're
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: gonna think it's okay not to do nothing. To take inventory,
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: prune the tree, separate yourself, and remember it ain't your
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: job to give nobody a free ride. It is not
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: your job. They will slow your progress down. All right,
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: Those are my closing remark. I'll keep that week today, alright, alright,
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: now I have a great weekend, everybody, all right? For
