- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn them out to turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your back. Uh huh, I show will
- 2:04Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Come on, y'all.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I said that a little bit wrong this morning. But
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm tired. I just came out to the gym. I'm
- 2:17Speaker 1: a little out of sorts right now. But it's okay.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'll pull it together. But let me tell you something, man,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I got a clear cut message for you today. I
- 2:25Speaker 1: really do you know. As I've gotten older, I've began
- 2:32Speaker 1: to take some supplements. And supplements are to help your
- 2:40Speaker 1: body in things that it doesn't produce as much as
- 2:46Speaker 1: it used to. Supplements are designed to help you replenish
- 2:54Speaker 1: what's been depleted in your body. As supplements. Now, now, people,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I can tell you can speak a lot more aggressively
- 3:05Speaker 1: and a lot more knowledgeable on this subject, but just
- 3:08Speaker 1: giving you just a brief overview of minderstanding of now,
- 3:15Speaker 1: if you've been living your life for a while, supplements
- 3:20Speaker 1: are necessary for most of us now. Also, if you've
- 3:29Speaker 1: been living your life for a while spiritually, you may
- 3:36Speaker 1: need some supplements because you've just been at it for
- 3:41Speaker 1: a while. You don't got woll down a little bit,
- 3:46Speaker 1: You're tied some people around you, ain't changing. Some people
- 3:49Speaker 1: around you draining. It's just life just keeps on coming.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Life don't ever get no easier. It just you become
- 3:57Speaker 1: more knowledgeable about how to handle it. It does not
- 4:01Speaker 1: get any either easier. You continue to lose loved ones,
- 4:06Speaker 1: you continue to have to confront the challenges. It's just
- 4:09Speaker 1: that over course of time you become experienced and you
- 4:12Speaker 1: can handle them better. But life don't get no easier.
- 4:17Speaker 1: But spiritually you get a little bit worn down. Well,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you need some spiritual supplements too. And I'm just gonna
- 4:26Speaker 1: flat out tell you, the more God that you can
- 4:31Speaker 1: replenish yourself with, the higher the dosage of God that
- 4:37Speaker 1: you are willing to put into your spiritual self, the
- 4:43Speaker 1: possibilities then become limitless. You actually have the ability to
- 4:52Speaker 1: make a conscious decision to supplement your body, and you
- 4:57Speaker 1: have a conscious decision to supplement yourself spirit You can
- 5:01Speaker 1: do both. So what I did was I could just
- 5:06Speaker 1: tell you what I did. I was taking all these supplements.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I started taking supplements where I was about forty five.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I think that's when I began. I was thinking about
- 5:17Speaker 1: it one day and I just went wild. Man. I
- 5:20Speaker 1: started talking to some knowledgeable people. I found out I
- 5:22Speaker 1: needed these things. But then spiritually, man, I started supplementing
- 5:26Speaker 1: myself too. I started praying some more. I started trying
- 5:30Speaker 1: to gain a little bit more knowledge and wisdom and
- 5:32Speaker 1: understanding from scriptures and just try to make sense of
- 5:37Speaker 1: all of it, you know, just just make a little
- 5:40Speaker 1: bit more sense out of my life, make sure that
- 5:43Speaker 1: I was on the right path. A matter of fact,
- 5:45Speaker 1: get on the right path, find out my real purpose
- 5:48Speaker 1: and my mission in life. And nobody can do that
- 5:51Speaker 1: for you. That's something that you have to want to do.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But I started supplementing my spiritual side of my life
- 5:58Speaker 1: and supplementing my body. Now I happen to be right
- 6:01Speaker 1: now about in the best shape I've ever been in. Technically,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I can assure you, though I am in the best
- 6:11Speaker 1: shape spiritually I have ever been in. Now my body
- 6:15Speaker 1: has looked better, it really has. I mean, come on now,
- 6:21Speaker 1: at who I am in life, at the stage with
- 6:23Speaker 1: the years I've been walking this earth. Man, I'm cool,
- 6:27Speaker 1: but spiritually I'm in the best shape I've ever been in.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And what it's done for me, y'all is it's gave
- 6:34Speaker 1: me a peace and a calmness. You know, it used
- 6:37Speaker 1: to be, man, I used to fight so hard against
- 6:39Speaker 1: people who attack. Now, man, it ain't. It ain't as
- 6:43Speaker 1: serious to me because now I have a full understanding
- 6:46Speaker 1: that if I come under attack, that God is with me,
- 6:50Speaker 1: because that's a promise he made. That's Isaiah fifty four seventeen.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That's that's that's. Any weapon formed against you, any weapon
- 6:59Speaker 1: form to geinst you shall not prosper. You can't. You
- 7:03Speaker 1: can't come and get me. I'm not here for you
- 7:06Speaker 1: to take down because you didn't put me here. So
- 7:11Speaker 1: why would I feel a person bringing me down when
- 7:13Speaker 1: they're not the reason that I'm here. So when you
- 7:17Speaker 1: attack me, you have to be careful because I ain't
- 7:21Speaker 1: ever by myself. I formed a relationship with the most
- 7:26Speaker 1: High that I can rely on for protection, for coverage
- 7:31Speaker 1: and for peace. A lot of times when things used
- 7:34Speaker 1: to stress me out, how to run this, how to
- 7:37Speaker 1: handle this, how to deal with that? You know, famous
- 7:39Speaker 1: rough Man. And then you put that together with some business,
- 7:42Speaker 1: and you put that together with your family. You got
- 7:45Speaker 1: a lot of stuff you're trying to tend to. I
- 7:47Speaker 1: have a peace of mind about it now because I
- 7:51Speaker 1: have someone who provides me with a sense of understanding
- 7:56Speaker 1: and calmness that lets me know that this tool shall pass.
- 8:00Speaker 1: That it ain't just a saying that I heard old
- 8:02Speaker 1: people say that. It ain't just something my mama used
- 8:05Speaker 1: to tell me. It's something that can really happen. Once
- 8:08Speaker 1: you get an understanding, this tool shall pass. This is
- 8:12Speaker 1: just another piece of life that you are now better
- 8:15Speaker 1: equipped to handle. I'm telling you what it's done for me.
- 8:20Speaker 1: A millions of people out there hear me. Man has
- 8:22Speaker 1: done the same thing for them. I'm telling it new
- 8:26Speaker 1: to some people, but there's some people that show enough
- 8:28Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. And then if you have known
- 8:32Speaker 1: this but kind of forgot it, it's time for some supplements.
- 8:37Speaker 1: So when you get like that, and now you find
- 8:40Speaker 1: yourself in a situation with a disease, or something. You
- 8:44Speaker 1: gotta do something. Nah, you gotta start juicing all your greens.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You gotta start detoxing your body. You gotta start purifying
- 8:52Speaker 1: the system. See, the human body has always had a
- 8:56Speaker 1: way to repair itself if you just give it a chance.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Your mind and has always had a chance to repair itself,
- 9:03Speaker 1: if you give it a chance, and your spirit always
- 9:07Speaker 1: has a chance to repair itself, if you give it
- 9:10Speaker 1: a chance. It's the only way I can maintain at
- 9:14Speaker 1: this level, and it's the only way I have any
- 9:17Speaker 1: chance of going further. I have to increase my dosage
- 9:23Speaker 1: of spiritual supplements. I got to talk to God a
- 9:27Speaker 1: little bit more. I got to pray a little bit more.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I got to understand his word a little bit more.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That's all I'm telling you. Man, If you do that,
- 9:38Speaker 1: if you just pray more, if you just studied a
- 9:41Speaker 1: little bit more, man, just try to get it, understand it,
- 9:44Speaker 1: ask him to help you understand. It will open up
- 9:47Speaker 1: the possibilities of your life into a realm you never
- 9:52Speaker 1: could have imagined. I'm telling you that's real. Okay, you're listening,
- 9:57Speaker 1: tow ladies and gentlemen, it is here. It is time
- 10:04Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Inspirational, motivational, enlightening, encouraging, in
- 10:12Speaker 1: full support of racial justice, equality for all people, and
- 10:18Speaker 1: we support peaceful protests. Keep marching, young people, keep standing
- 10:23Speaker 1: up for what you believe in. This is the one
- 10:26Speaker 1: that can make the biggest difference since Marla Luther King,
- 10:29Speaker 1: Ladies and Gentleman. Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry, Hey,
- 10:32Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve, Colin Farrell, Good morning. What's up? Crew?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Hey Steve, what's Junior's on vacation? What's up? Jam Brown?
- 10:43Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, the legend, the prank legend. Nephew Tommy, ya
- 10:49Speaker 1: ain't in the building on the Monday morning with my uncle.
- 10:52Speaker 1: That's how we do it. It's what family do we
- 10:55Speaker 1: talk about. So how is y'all's weekend? Why do you
- 10:59Speaker 1: ask it like that? Same? Because I want to try
- 11:02Speaker 1: to make something up. Went to them, you ain't went nowhere.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Less and less people are believing that COVID is still
- 11:12Speaker 1: existing because I'm seeing less and less mass. I'm just
- 11:18Speaker 1: I'm just seeing people just doing what they want to do,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and I believe that they're still a COVID. Now. I know,
- 11:26Speaker 1: I know most people right now it's more afraid of
- 11:30Speaker 1: getting their ass whip and catching the disease. I do
- 11:32Speaker 1: understand that, but let me just calm y'all down. The
- 11:36Speaker 1: majority of the protests, I've reverted back to the peaceful nature.
- 11:41Speaker 1: They've listened to some instruction where we're not hustling backwards.
- 11:45Speaker 1: We're gaining momentum. They're talking about changing laws right now.
- 11:50Speaker 1: We're getting a lot of help that I've never seen
- 11:53Speaker 1: before from non African Americans. And I was walking the
- 11:58Speaker 1: other day and I saw an Asian guy who was
- 12:01Speaker 1: out jogging on his back in magic marker was Black
- 12:05Speaker 1: Lives Matter. Wow, I said, my man, thank you. Yeah,
- 12:10Speaker 1: other races, because yeah, we couldn't do it on our
- 12:15Speaker 1: own because no one was listening to us. Now they are,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you know, right, And you know why because of COVID
- 12:24Speaker 1: nineteen Well, I think because the world was standing still.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I think there was no happy hour. I think there
- 12:31Speaker 1: was no summer vacations. I think there was I think
- 12:34Speaker 1: there was no spring break, family reunions. I think people
- 12:39Speaker 1: were quarantine and this became the news story and without
- 12:45Speaker 1: any diversion of life as we normally know it. I
- 12:49Speaker 1: think people had a chance to see it and had
- 12:52Speaker 1: to deal with it because that just like COVID became
- 12:56Speaker 1: the only news, and all of a sudden, people were going,
- 12:58Speaker 1: wait a minute, we're absolutely right, yeah, absolutely right. I
- 13:04Speaker 1: agree with you because we've been shouting this from the
- 13:07Speaker 1: rooftops for I mean, you mentioned, you know, like how
- 13:10Speaker 1: long you've been doing it, dealing with this for I
- 13:13Speaker 1: mean for years and years and years in our lifetime
- 13:15Speaker 1: and our parents lifetimes, and everyone's saying this time it's different,
- 13:21Speaker 1: This time it is different. And h and Anne is
- 13:24Speaker 1: happening around the world, yes, not just here. Yeah, oh yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: all right. Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:32Speaker 1: Steve Harvey and Jay Anthony Brown. We're gonna switch it
- 13:35Speaker 1: up a little bit and get some laughter in here
- 13:39Speaker 1: like we do. They're gonna make us laugh inside of
- 13:41Speaker 1: something funny. We'll do that right after this. You're listening
- 13:44Speaker 1: to Steven Show. We're going to start the show off
- 13:49Speaker 1: on a lighter note this Monday morning time. Now for
- 13:52Speaker 1: something funny. We're gonna do part one and part two
- 13:55Speaker 1: with Steve and Steve. Okay, they've heard me. You remember
- 13:59Speaker 1: when I was my closing remarks, I was I was
- 14:02Speaker 1: asking for white outrage. I was looking for just a
- 14:06Speaker 1: few good white folks. Well we found them, and they
- 14:10Speaker 1: out there and they marching and they're protesting on behalf
- 14:13Speaker 1: of Black Lives Matter. So now I've been talking with
- 14:17Speaker 1: them and what they want to say to us in
- 14:23Speaker 1: an open letter to us. There are some things that
- 14:25Speaker 1: they're asking of black people since they've joined in the protest. Okay,
- 14:33Speaker 1: so it's more like a dear black people type letter.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Since we participated in the protest, these are some things
- 14:42Speaker 1: that we like for you to do to help us
- 14:46Speaker 1: help you. This is from white people. This is from
- 14:52Speaker 1: a few good people. So here's some things they want
- 14:57Speaker 1: from us. Number one, they want us to walk, watch
- 15:01Speaker 1: and play more lacross lacross. We need y'all to watch
- 15:08Speaker 1: it so you can know what we're doing. And we
- 15:10Speaker 1: need some of you to play. Jim Brown played, he
- 15:13Speaker 1: was great. Okay. Here's the next thing we're gonna need
- 15:18Speaker 1: for black people to do since we're out there help
- 15:20Speaker 1: him with the protest. We need every black person to
- 15:24Speaker 1: eat at least one punkin pie or yell. We're getting
- 15:33Speaker 1: pushed and knocked down, shot with rubber bullets. We need
- 15:36Speaker 1: your ass out here. Stop telling us what you don't
- 15:40Speaker 1: want to do. Here's something else we're asking the black
- 15:46Speaker 1: people since we're participating in the riots. In the protest,
- 15:50Speaker 1: these from white folks. Number three, we want you to
- 15:55Speaker 1: hike more. We don't want to look out on the

- 16:14Speaker 1: the love of God, bring your dogs in the house.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Ass up outside and tree. We don't do they shut
- 16:27Speaker 1: in on the screen port. Please bring your dogs inside.
- 16:32Speaker 1: These are things white people want from us since they're
- 16:36Speaker 1: helping with the protests. Number five, stop cussing at your
- 16:42Speaker 1: damn kids that you're asking the impossible. No, it's just
- 16:49Speaker 1: a little stuff. They're getting shot by rubber bullets. They're
- 16:52Speaker 1: helping us out of these protests. These are things white
- 16:54Speaker 1: people want from us. Number six, we're just asking black
- 17:00Speaker 1: people to just be a little bit, just a little
- 17:04Speaker 1: bit more nosier. Man in your own damn business. You
- 17:12Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to do with this. No, stick your
- 17:16Speaker 1: nose in it. Get involved. One. Here's something that we
- 17:24Speaker 1: know black people to do for us, since we're helping
- 17:26Speaker 1: with the protests. Number seven, Please try it. Try the
- 17:31Speaker 1: being castlerof try it. I'm telling you stop turning your

- 18:15Speaker 1: Not gonna give a lot of people to do this,
- 18:16Speaker 1: but dear black people, since we participated in the protests,
- 18:21Speaker 1: this is something else we'd like for you, uh to

- 21:58Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, And I'm doing while I'm healding these complaints.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'm nearly at the same time, just so you know,
- 22:11Speaker 1: I'm protesting. Go ahead, deacon well pass that. Let me
- 22:15Speaker 1: say this, we don't have any church complaints. Let me
- 22:24Speaker 1: try to rephrase that we have something, but the channel
- 22:30Speaker 1: towards you, pass all the church complaints towards you. Okay,
- 22:40Speaker 1: didn't you do understand how all the responses will be channeled?
- 22:44Speaker 1: Don't you? And I understand that, past but go ahead?
- 22:47Speaker 1: You ain't got saying go ahead all right? Past it.
- 22:53Speaker 1: It's been brought to our attention that you have made
- 22:55Speaker 1: a very large purchase and we are trying to figure
- 23:05Speaker 1: out did you use the church's money for this. Yeah, well,
- 23:13Speaker 1: first of all, you can't believe everything you heal, man,
- 23:23Speaker 1: and how everything you heal ain't the truth? Right? Right?
- 23:29Speaker 1: But let me ask you something bad. Did you make
- 23:31Speaker 1: a large purchase? No? I did not, As I ask
- 23:37Speaker 1: you something again? Are you lying because we are in

- 24:28Speaker 1: I'm just gonna ask you guys, how many members is
- 24:30Speaker 1: that the jack Pot Joint? How many we have right now?
- 24:34Speaker 1: We have nine hundred and eighty two members at the
- 24:38Speaker 1: jack Pot Joint. Nine hundred and eighty two members, that's
- 24:42Speaker 1: what we have, and all of them have heard that
- 24:48Speaker 1: that's a possibility that you have been making large purchases.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Will I must admit? Listen, listen to this hill, reaching m.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I have other opportunities that have been presented to me
- 25:09Speaker 1: that why that have been presented to me, And I'm
- 25:14Speaker 1: taking invented to you. Well, first of all, I bought
- 25:19Speaker 1: a steak in Smokies Smokers Pig House right there on
- 25:28Speaker 1: on leventh and exactly, Yes, yes, okay, I made I
- 25:34Speaker 1: made an investment in that several years ago and I
- 25:37Speaker 1: bought them out. Business is going good. Also, cotton candy
- 25:42Speaker 1: is doing really well. I've seen that at the carnival.
- 25:45Speaker 1: So you're saying at the carnival, that's your cotton candy
- 25:48Speaker 1: that you're saying, my great grandfather invented cotton can Who
- 25:54Speaker 1: ain't your granddaddy that invented cotton candy Willis Candy, and
- 26:03Speaker 1: so therefore all these things is coming into fruition. All right,
- 26:10Speaker 1: So you got the pig, you did the bott then
- 26:13Speaker 1: Willis Willis Candy. You you part of that. That's wait.
- 26:18Speaker 1: But the cotton candy I was referring to it that
- 26:20Speaker 1: go strip o. It's a strip cloud that serves cotton candy.
- 26:29Speaker 1: M hmmm, all right, is there anything else that you've
- 26:33Speaker 1: invested in at the church. I don't know about you
- 26:36Speaker 1: saw hell, Well, would you please tell us what you
- 26:40Speaker 1: have invested in, because we've company called perfect hell but
- 26:53Speaker 1: perfect hair. All right, yes, it's your raining. Hell yeah.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Matter of fact, let me tell you how much have
- 27:06Speaker 1: we selling. We're selling the hall back to China. Wait
- 27:15Speaker 1: a minute, the hair comes from China, y'all selling it
- 27:19Speaker 1: back to China. We're taking black people's hell and selling
- 27:23Speaker 1: it to the Chinese. That's all part of the movement. Yeah,
- 27:30Speaker 1: we're gonna this thing out. Yeah, now, y'all feeling look
- 27:35Speaker 1: like h or. It's a big seller. All the Chinese
- 27:40Speaker 1: and loved it. Right now, it's gonna go absolutely wonderful,
- 27:46Speaker 1: our right path. At last, before we go, is there
- 27:49Speaker 1: anything else that the trade need to know that you
- 27:51Speaker 1: have put money on that we didn't know. I didn't
- 27:53Speaker 1: know nothing about the have, nor the pig, nor the
- 27:56Speaker 1: cotton candy, and not least on the Ready Old Show.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Nephew Timmy has prank CDs and he thought they was
- 28:07Speaker 1: in Walmart. I actually had him at Target. And I
- 28:10Speaker 1: can't all that money too. All right, thank you, bast
- 28:15Speaker 1: at you coming up at the top of the hour,
- 28:18Speaker 1: we'll have some national news for you right after this
- 28:20Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Joe Biden will express
- 28:27Speaker 1: his condolences in person and meet with the Floyd family
- 28:30Speaker 1: today in Houston before George Floyd's funeral. The former VP
- 28:35Speaker 1: Vice President has also taped a video message to be
- 28:37Speaker 1: played during the funeral service. In addition, Reverend Al Sharpton
- 28:41Speaker 1: and Attorney Ben Crump will speak at George Floyd's final
- 28:45Speaker 1: service on tomorrow on Tuesday. Can I say something to
- 28:48Speaker 1: show yes? Of course. This is see, this is what
- 28:51Speaker 1: Donald Trump should be trying to do. He should be
- 28:55Speaker 1: a discoloral state. He doesn't have a compassionate bone in
- 28:59Speaker 1: his body. No, doesn't appear that little one phone call
- 29:03Speaker 1: he made to the Floyd family for two minutes, he
- 29:06Speaker 1: could have done something else. Yeah. Yeah, and they said
- 29:09Speaker 1: they couldn't get a word in edgewise. He just overto
- 29:12Speaker 1: he showed up, He gets booed. Yeah, he disrupt the
- 29:15Speaker 1: whole funeral, Yeah he would. Yeah at this point A yeah,
- 29:20Speaker 1: it's going to be at the found you know what, y'all.
- 29:22Speaker 1: For some reason, I think this is good. I think
- 29:25Speaker 1: we show exactly who Trump is and hopefully you know,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I think this is good. Yeah, it's always good to
- 29:34Speaker 1: know who the real person is and what they'll do.
- 29:37Speaker 1: But the part that's scary to me is it's also
- 29:43Speaker 1: gonna show us whether this country is healed or continually sick. Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 1: that's the scary part. You're absolutely right, because if he
- 29:53Speaker 1: gets back in, if he gets voted back in, you know, wow,
- 29:57Speaker 1: business or it's something just something really wrong. Yeah, business
- 30:00Speaker 1: as usual, you know. So we just have to do
- 30:03Speaker 1: our due diligence and we have to vote. I mean,
- 30:06Speaker 1: that's what we can do. Period. Yeah, we got a
- 30:08Speaker 1: match to the polls, like we much in the room.
- 30:12Speaker 1: That's right, That's right, Say it again, Jay, We got
- 30:15Speaker 1: a much to the poems like we munching right now
- 30:17Speaker 1: in rooms. That's right, all right. George Floyd's funeral will
- 30:22Speaker 1: be tomorrow at the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston,
- 30:27Speaker 1: and um wow, it's been a lot going on and
- 30:32Speaker 1: this will be his final resting place right in Houstons
- 30:36Speaker 1: one today. Public viewing today, Yeah, from the burial. Yeah wow,
- 30:46Speaker 1: that family has been through so much, so much and
- 30:49Speaker 1: trending news. Washington, DC's mayor Muriel Bowser had Black Lives Matter,
- 30:55Speaker 1: she had a whole mural case. You haven't seen this,
- 30:59Speaker 1: and who haven't Who hasn't seen it? I love this.
- 31:01Speaker 1: She had a whole mural black Lives Matter mural painted
- 31:04Speaker 1: on the street that leads to where the White House.
- 31:11Speaker 1: You can see it, Yes, you can. It leads to
- 31:16Speaker 1: the White House where protesters have been demonstrating mirror. Bowser
- 31:19Speaker 1: also renamed the street in front of what the White
- 31:23Speaker 1: House black Lives Matter Plaza Northwest. Okay, we're gonna change
- 31:33Speaker 1: some more damn streets. Also, we we got a shout
- 31:39Speaker 1: out Utah Center to Mitt Romney. He joined the protesters
- 31:42Speaker 1: yesterday in Washington. Uh. He said, we need a voice
- 31:48Speaker 1: against racism. We need to stand up and say black
- 31:51Speaker 1: lives matter. All right, Steve, time to get to the
- 31:54Speaker 1: latest on tropical storm Crystal Ball and more of today's headlines.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp and this is Anne
- 32:02Speaker 1: Trip with the news. The body of George Floyd, yes
- 32:05Speaker 1: arrived in Houston yesterday and today thousands of people will
- 32:09Speaker 1: have the opportunity to pay their respects to the man
- 32:11Speaker 1: seen on video being strangled to death by Minneapolis cop.
- 32:15Speaker 1: George Floyd was raised in Texas, and a public viewing
- 32:18Speaker 1: is being held today at the Fountain of Praise Church
- 32:20Speaker 1: in Houston. To ensure social distancing by the way, only
- 32:23Speaker 1: fifteen people will be led in at a time. Each
- 32:26Speaker 1: person can only stay for ten minutes, and of course
- 32:28Speaker 1: it goes without saying that everybody has to wear a mask.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Tomorrow's funeral service will be private and reserved for only
- 32:35Speaker 1: family and friends, and a number of high profile guests,
- 32:38Speaker 1: including Houston's mayor, Sulvester Turner, will be there Reverend Al Sharpton,
- 32:41Speaker 1: boxing Great Floyd Mayweather, who is actually paying for the funeral. Meanwhile,
- 32:46Speaker 1: Derek Chauvin, the now former Minneapolis cop, scheduled to make
- 32:50Speaker 1: his first court appearance today. Chauvin's charge with second degree
- 32:53Speaker 1: murder for the death of George Floyd. Mister Floyd captured
- 32:56Speaker 1: on video pleading for his life and saying he couldn't
- 32:58Speaker 1: breathe as Chauvin pinned his neck under his knee for
- 33:01Speaker 1: over eight minutes, three of which after he stopped moving.
- 33:05Speaker 1: George Floyd died nearly two weeks ago, and the other
- 33:08Speaker 1: three other now fired cops involved in his arrest, I've
- 33:11Speaker 1: been charged with aiding and abetting the death. Now get
- 33:13Speaker 1: this though, according to the new York Times, looks like
- 33:15Speaker 1: those three other men do not exactly intend marching up
- 33:19Speaker 1: the river hand in hand with Derek Chauvin, each facing
- 33:21Speaker 1: up to forty years in prison if convicted. At the time,
- 33:24Speaker 1: says two of the three are blaming Chauvin for everything
- 33:27Speaker 1: he was a senior officer on the scene, and the
- 33:31Speaker 1: third man is said to be cooperating with authorities as well.
- 33:35Speaker 1: And national professional sports teams continue expressing outrage over the
- 33:39Speaker 1: police murder of mister Floyd, police brutality. All that the
- 33:41Speaker 1: Milwaukee Bucks joined the protesters yesterday wearing t shirts reading
- 33:45Speaker 1: I can't breathe and racist policing is a personal thing
- 33:48Speaker 1: for the NBA team. Apparently, one Bucks player, Sterling Brown,
- 33:52Speaker 1: you may remember, sued Milwaukee police two years ago when
- 33:55Speaker 1: white officers use a stun gun on him when he
- 33:58Speaker 1: complained about being arrested over a simple parking violation. People
- 34:03Speaker 1: still talking about how President Trump referenced the late George
- 34:05Speaker 1: Floyd while talking about an improvement in the economy. Now
- 34:08Speaker 1: Fox News is apologizing for showing a rather sick graphic
- 34:12Speaker 1: seeming to show that the stock markets gained after every
- 34:15Speaker 1: police murder or assassination of an African American folks on
- 34:19Speaker 1: Twitter were outraged disgusted, pointing out that the market is
- 34:22Speaker 1: in flux, and you could use any event to make
- 34:24Speaker 1: a connection like that if you want, like the last
- 34:26Speaker 1: four full moons, not to mention that the Fox graphic
- 34:29Speaker 1: was an extremely poor taste. General Colin Powell tells CNNDA
- 34:34Speaker 1: for him this November, Joe Biden is a man very
- 34:36Speaker 1: close to Joe Biden on a social matter and on
- 34:39Speaker 1: a political matter. I worked with him for thirty five
- 34:42Speaker 1: forty years, and he is now the candidate, and I
- 34:45Speaker 1: will be voting for him. How'll also joining a list
- 34:47Speaker 1: of other retired generals and admirals who's criticized Trump's threat
- 34:50Speaker 1: to basically sick the active duty military police on demonstrators.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Just the Duchess of Sussex was a commitsment speaker for
- 34:57Speaker 1: her old LA school Saturday, and she's a conscious black woman,
- 35:00Speaker 1: And Megan Marco spoke about black lives matter. George Floyd's
- 35:03Speaker 1: life mattered, and Brianna Taylor's life mattered, and Philando Castile's
- 35:07Speaker 1: life mattered, and tomure Rice's life mattered, and so did
- 35:11Speaker 1: so many other people whose names we know and whose
- 35:14Speaker 1: names we do not know. I know you know that
- 35:16Speaker 1: black lives matter. So I am already excited for what
- 35:20Speaker 1: you are going to do in the world. Now back
- 35:21Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the
- 35:24Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. In Clay, North Carolina, during Black
- 35:29Speaker 1: Lives Matters protests, a group of white police officers and
- 35:32Speaker 1: other community leaders came together to wash their black brothers
- 35:35Speaker 1: and sisters feet. Take a listen to this white man
- 35:38Speaker 1: on the megaphone leading the prayer asking for forgiveness of
- 35:43Speaker 1: his white ancestors as a church, a white church, have
- 35:48Speaker 1: used you as a persecution towards black people. Lord, as
- 35:53Speaker 1: we've burned crosses, as burned churches were meant to be
- 35:57Speaker 1: symbols of your love, out of your goodness, and use
- 36:00Speaker 1: it as a weapon against people of all of people. Wowow,
- 36:11Speaker 1: that's going in the world is changing, man, Yes, you're
- 36:15Speaker 1: changing right in front of our eyes. We're watching some
- 36:17Speaker 1: things change. I'm glad that I didn't think I would
- 36:20Speaker 1: see in my lifetime, in our lifetime, right, yeah, I
- 36:24Speaker 1: did not think I would see this. I had always
- 36:28Speaker 1: hope for it, Yes, that one day that we could
- 36:32Speaker 1: get some help with this problem because I just did
- 36:37Speaker 1: not understand the lack of help, just the acknowledgement of
- 36:46Speaker 1: the problem that this must be for us. I just
- 36:50Speaker 1: could never understand. How can they not see what this
- 36:55Speaker 1: must be like? Can they not for imagine, just wrap
- 36:59Speaker 1: just reverse If this was happening to you, how would
- 37:02Speaker 1: you feel. I was just I just kept waiting on that,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and it's just really really just just enlightening the seaman.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I saw some police officers participating in the protests on
- 37:14Speaker 1: their knees, holding hands with protesters and stuff. You know, Um,
- 37:19Speaker 1: it's very different this time than people who you never
- 37:22Speaker 1: hear from in terms of speaking up. You know, people
- 37:26Speaker 1: were talking about Michael Jordan. But man, let me tell
- 37:28Speaker 1: you something. I think the Republicans by tennis shoes comment
- 37:33Speaker 1: got taken way out of proportion on the man and
- 37:36Speaker 1: and and had him look in some kind of way.
- 37:38Speaker 1: But this man just gave a hundred millions listen to me.
- 37:46Speaker 1: That's that's game changing paper right there. And so you know, man,
- 37:51Speaker 1: you have to fight this war of racism on all
- 37:54Speaker 1: the levels. Did you see this security company in North
- 37:59Speaker 1: Carolina that came out and the CEO wrote a letter
- 38:04Speaker 1: in defiance, and and and and just dogging out the protesters. Yes,
- 38:10Speaker 1: and the Carolina Panthers have cut ties with the Panthers
- 38:14Speaker 1: and every other North Carolina school or system that had
- 38:18Speaker 1: anything to do with that company called CPI have pulled
- 38:22Speaker 1: that they are sponsored there, have pulled the product from
- 38:25Speaker 1: that That ceo just gonna lose his job? Beautiful? What
- 38:29Speaker 1: made him write a damn letter his own argon ass? Yeah, Yeah,
- 38:33Speaker 1: that's the only way these things are gonna change, Steve. Yeah,
- 38:37Speaker 1: all right, coming up in thirty four minutes after the hours,
- 38:40Speaker 1: Snoop DOGG will vote for the very first time this November.
- 38:45Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 38:48Speaker 1: show well, well well. Forty eight year old Snoop dog
- 38:55Speaker 1: did a recent radio interview in LA, and he revealed
- 38:59Speaker 1: why he never chose to vote and why he feels
- 39:01Speaker 1: it's especially important to make his vote be heard in
- 39:05Speaker 1: the twenty twenty election. Take a listen. I ain't never
- 39:09Speaker 1: voted a damn my life, but this year, I think
- 39:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna get out and vote because I can't stand
- 39:12Speaker 1: to see this punking office one more year. But many
- 39:15Speaker 1: years they had me brainwash thinking that you couldn't vote
- 39:17Speaker 1: because you had a criminal record. I didn't know that
- 39:19Speaker 1: my record has been a sponge because we got to
- 39:21Speaker 1: make the difference. I can't talk about it and not
- 39:23Speaker 1: be about it. I can't tell you to do it.
- 39:24Speaker 1: It didn't go, don't go do it. Everybody know I'm
- 39:26Speaker 1: a frontline. I ain't gonna tell you to do something
- 39:28Speaker 1: that I didn't do. If I tell you to do
- 39:29Speaker 1: something I didn't done it already, come on, that's what
- 39:33Speaker 1: I want to That's what I want to hear. Yeah,
- 39:37Speaker 1: a lot of people with that like that. Yeah. See,
- 39:39Speaker 1: but that will make a change because it strips away
- 39:44Speaker 1: the embarrassment of having to say you've never voted before.
- 39:49Speaker 1: It's it's always a good time to start. Yeah, it's
- 39:53Speaker 1: never too late to do the right thing right. And
- 39:59Speaker 1: I think that him's saying that, it's just you know,
- 40:04Speaker 1: that's just a very very powerful statement. But y'all we've
- 40:07Speaker 1: got to get out of vote because let me tell
- 40:08Speaker 1: you something, man, you can put a stop to some
- 40:10Speaker 1: of this madness. We don't have to turn on the
- 40:13Speaker 1: TV every day and be humiliated and embarrassed by something
- 40:17Speaker 1: that the president of this country has said. I can't
- 40:20Speaker 1: travel abroad nowhere without here a lady in a lady
- 40:26Speaker 1: in Monte Carlo, in a in a proud of store
- 40:30Speaker 1: asked me, why why did you all let this happen?
- 40:36Speaker 1: And now I really had I was mad, What the
- 40:38Speaker 1: hell you mean how I let it? Have? You know?
- 40:41Speaker 1: I damn that had attitude. But they don't understand. And
- 40:45Speaker 1: I can't go to any country without them bringing up
- 40:50Speaker 1: the topic of Donald Trump anywhere. And it's embarrassing it.
- 40:56Speaker 1: And I mean, man, we have a chance to do
- 40:58Speaker 1: something about it and let him go deal with these
- 41:01Speaker 1: are these subpoenas that he's ignored and and won't turn
- 41:06Speaker 1: over this record so and that because the state of
- 41:09Speaker 1: New York they waiting on him not to be president,
- 41:11Speaker 1: because you're gonna have to turn in all this mess,
- 41:14Speaker 1: partner or else right. Oh yes, that's one of the
- 41:18Speaker 1: reasons he don't want to lose it has that's the
- 41:21Speaker 1: biggest reason. He's just afraid because he don't want to
- 41:25Speaker 1: dance to the music Clark music waiting for clar So
- 41:30Speaker 1: if this is your first time, be like Snoop and
- 41:33Speaker 1: go ahead and get to those poles and vote this November. Please,
- 41:38Speaker 1: in La, can you take weed to the voting place?
- 41:41Speaker 1: Because it is legal. You can't focus smoking at the polls. Boy,
- 41:47Speaker 1: I'm tea, but when you come out you can file up.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Really okay, Hey, your whole life is dedicated to not
- 42:00Speaker 1: no one. What's going on? It's wrong with you, man,
- 42:06Speaker 1: You got to be focused on a minute. The minute
- 42:10Speaker 1: I get focused, show over. Okay, let that be. Yeah,
- 42:19Speaker 1: you got a good point there, Jay, I think we
- 42:25Speaker 1: like you. Unfocused. We got a show man. We got
- 42:28Speaker 1: a different time to show. We got two different we
- 42:30Speaker 1: We got a dude that's committed to weed and a
- 42:33Speaker 1: dude that's committed to stupidity. And I mean no one
- 42:38Speaker 1: else has that, No one else has that mine is
- 42:41Speaker 1: safe though our show is unique. Then we got a
- 42:44Speaker 1: young injury that works with us that don't like none
- 42:48Speaker 1: of us because we're just old. To her two seconds, guys,
- 42:56Speaker 1: damn it, we love our girl, Chris I said ten seconds. Jesus,
- 43:02Speaker 1: these people are old. They can't he So listen. If
- 43:05Speaker 1: you're not registered to vote, or if you need information,
- 43:08Speaker 1: go to former First Lady Michelle Obama's voter initiative website.
- 43:13Speaker 1: When we All Vote dot org. All right, listen. Coming
- 43:17Speaker 1: up next, Nephew Tommy with his prank phone call. Right
- 43:20Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Morning Show coming
- 43:26Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour right about four
- 43:28Speaker 1: minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, subject I'm
- 43:32Speaker 1: falling in love with a big baby. I'm falling in
- 43:36Speaker 1: love with a big baby. Wait till you hear this letter,
- 43:40Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown. I don't know what I said your name,
- 43:43Speaker 1: but something about this one. You'll see what I mean
- 43:48Speaker 1: in a minute. Right now, it's time for the nephew
- 43:50Speaker 1: to give us the prank for today. What you've got
- 43:53Speaker 1: net cut of borrow? Huh yo? Freezing sense? Can I
- 44:02Speaker 1: borrow wood Yr freezer? I don't think. I don't. I don't.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think I'm asking for Can I
- 44:13Speaker 1: borrow I'm freezer? Your free I'm not asking you to
- 44:17Speaker 1: give it to me. Can I exactly exactly which means
- 44:21Speaker 1: you're gonna give it? Yeah? Just can I borrow your freeze?
- 44:26Speaker 1: That's how I want you alone? Can I borrow you?
- 44:33Speaker 1: Love me when you do that? Can I borrow you
- 44:36Speaker 1: free I can't? Let's go? Can I borrow your freezer? Alight? Equipment?
- 44:42Speaker 1: Does this train on? How can I help you? I'm
- 44:44Speaker 1: trying to reach UHL Dell's the manager, right, yes, Dal
- 44:48Speaker 1: is the manager. How can I help you? Okay? Is
- 44:51Speaker 1: Dell available? Is he there? Kee's actually with a customer?
- 44:55Speaker 1: Is there something that I can help you with or
- 44:56Speaker 1: pass along a message? Okay? So y'all Allied equipment? What what?
- 45:00Speaker 1: What exactly do y'all have there? I'm gonna make sure
- 45:03Speaker 1: i'm calling the right place. Oh, yes, of course. It's
- 45:06Speaker 1: a restaurant supply company. Um. So we have you know,
- 45:10Speaker 1: everything from freezers, refrigerators to your basic restaurant supplies. Okay,
- 45:16Speaker 1: y'all do have freezings, because that's what I'm trying to do.
- 45:19Speaker 1: What I'm trying to do is, uh I've run out
- 45:23Speaker 1: of freezer space, and I'm trying to see if possibly,
- 45:26Speaker 1: you know, my back is up against the wall right now.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to see if I can possibly put something
- 45:32Speaker 1: in one of you as freezers for a couple of
- 45:34Speaker 1: days until I get freed up on this end. So
- 45:37Speaker 1: that's why I wanted to see if you guys would
- 45:40Speaker 1: allow me to do something like that. Is that possible?
- 45:43Speaker 1: M S? Sorry, I'm a little confused. I don't want
- 45:46Speaker 1: to buy a freezer. You just want to put something
- 45:49Speaker 1: in one of our freezers. I just want to put
- 45:51Speaker 1: something there for a couple of days because I have
- 45:53Speaker 1: a freezer, but mine is completely full, and I'm trying

- 48:11Speaker 1: what do you need? How much? How much do you
- 48:13Speaker 1: have that you need frozen? I mean, I don't even
- 48:15Speaker 1: know what you Well, I got um three bodies that
- 48:19Speaker 1: I need to get um to keep, you know, to
- 48:22Speaker 1: keep frozen. Man. You know we run the mortuary over here.
- 48:24Speaker 1: This is bold body. Yeah we got three people bodies. Yeah, yeah,

- 48:56Speaker 1: somebody to show me a little love. Man. You got
- 48:58Speaker 1: those freezes, you don't have nothing in them, you know,
- 49:00Speaker 1: I just need it for a couple of days. You
- 49:02Speaker 1: gotta be out of your mind. We're not talking about ice.
- 49:05Speaker 1: This isn't chicken wings or reports shoulder. He's a people.
- 49:09Speaker 1: You are out of your mind, man, But but listen

- 49:18Speaker 1: That's the reason why I'm calling. I'm needing your help, man, Yeah,
- 49:21Speaker 1: I understand that. Look, if you want to, I'll have
- 49:23Speaker 1: you commend you buy your own freezer. You can put

- 49:42Speaker 1: up and people don't want to know what it is. Yeah,
- 49:44Speaker 1: and then I get a buyer that comes in and
- 49:46Speaker 1: the cover falls off it and I got a frozen
- 49:48Speaker 1: that body and my freezer. Is that even legal? I
- 49:51Speaker 1: don't know. Man. All I'm saying is here's a deal. Man.
- 49:55Speaker 1: You can't highly recommended. They told me that you would
- 49:57Speaker 1: probably show me so love. I'm actually, you know, getting
- 50:01Speaker 1: ready to load up and come your way. Dude, you
- 50:04Speaker 1: keep those dead bodies away from my store. I'm telling
- 50:07Speaker 1: you right now, I can't hook you up on this one,
- 50:10Speaker 1: all right. I just can't do it, okay, but we
- 50:13Speaker 1: shoulding to load up and come that weight though. Man,
- 50:15Speaker 1: So you know what I'm saying, it's I mean, what
- 50:18Speaker 1: am I supposed to do? I have no you know what?
- 50:21Speaker 1: You want to come talk to me. You want to
- 50:22Speaker 1: buy a freezer for yourself and you want to freeze
- 50:25Speaker 1: your dead bodies on your own. I don't care. I'll
- 50:27Speaker 1: tell you a freezer. I got no problem with telling
- 50:30Speaker 1: you a freezer. But you're not bringing the bodies here.
- 50:32Speaker 1: It's just not happening. So if Alonzo, if Alonzo calls
- 50:37Speaker 1: you and green lights it, is it okay? Then I
- 50:42Speaker 1: highly down. Alonzo's gonna call me and tell me to
- 50:44Speaker 1: put three dead bodies and our showroom for freezers. I
- 50:50Speaker 1: made out that. Okay, okay, but but guess what Alonzo
- 50:54Speaker 1: told me. What did Alonzo telling you? Alonzo told me

- 53:18Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. Subject. I'm falling in love with a
- 53:22Speaker 1: big baby. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm forty years old and
- 53:27Speaker 1: my boyfriend is a forty five year old successful businessman.
- 53:32Speaker 1: He's divorced and has one kid from his marriage. We've
- 53:35Speaker 1: been dating for seven months and I love his kid
- 53:38Speaker 1: and I get along well with his ex wife. A
- 53:41Speaker 1: few weeks ago, his X and I were chatting in
- 53:44Speaker 1: the driveway when she dropped their child off. She asked
- 53:47Speaker 1: me if my boyfriend had revealed his big secret to
- 53:50Speaker 1: me yet. I asked her what was she talking about,
- 53:53Speaker 1: and she assured me that I wasn't that it wasn't
- 53:56Speaker 1: about him cheating or anything like that, but very strange
- 54:01Speaker 1: and it was the cause of their divorce. What she
- 54:04Speaker 1: told me had me curious. So the next day I
- 54:08Speaker 1: asked my boyfriend if he'd been keeping anything from me.
- 54:11Speaker 1: He admitted that he was holding back something that he
- 54:15Speaker 1: really wanted to share with me. That night, when I
- 54:18Speaker 1: was getting ready for bed, he asked me to step
- 54:20Speaker 1: out of the room so he could surprise me with
- 54:24Speaker 1: his secret. I stood out the room until I heard
- 54:28Speaker 1: come on in, mommy, and what sounded like a baby's voice.
- 54:33Speaker 1: I opened the door and he yelled, mommy, mommy, come
- 54:37Speaker 1: me in. He was on the bed on all fours,
- 54:41Speaker 1: wearing a cloth diaper and white footies. I stood there
- 54:46Speaker 1: in amazement, and he said I was bad, mommy, and
- 54:49Speaker 1: I need a thanking. I screamed and ran out of
- 54:53Speaker 1: the house, and when I got in my car, I
- 54:56Speaker 1: called his ex wife and told her I found out
- 54:59Speaker 1: his secret. She said it's called infantilism and he's been
- 55:04Speaker 1: doing it for years. I'm staying with my parents temporarily
- 55:08Speaker 1: and he's been blowing up my phone asking for a
- 55:11Speaker 1: second chance. He is perfect for me in every way
- 55:15Speaker 1: except this one. I will never be comfortable with this
- 55:18Speaker 1: kind of role playing. Should I scrap the man because
- 55:21Speaker 1: he's a little weird? Or should I help him work
- 55:23Speaker 1: through this infantilism? I looked it up. It means retention
- 55:29Speaker 1: of childish physical, mental, or emotional qualities in adult life. Okay, what? Okay? So,
- 55:40Speaker 1: just out of the blue, he puts on a diaper
- 55:43Speaker 1: and wants you to spank him and he's talking baby talk. Yeah,
- 55:47Speaker 1: I would say that's weird. I would. I would just
- 55:49Speaker 1: say that's weird. I mean, I don't know anyone who
- 55:52Speaker 1: does this. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but I
- 55:55Speaker 1: don't know anyone who's into this. Shay, why are you laughing?
- 56:00Speaker 1: It does sound weird. It sounds very weird, but I mean,
- 56:04Speaker 1: to be honest, it also is hard. It sounds kind
- 56:06Speaker 1: of harmless. It sounds harmless, but I mean it doesn't
- 56:11Speaker 1: sound scary. It doesn't sound like anyone will be serious
- 56:14Speaker 1: and seriously injured in the process or anything like that.
- 56:19Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I just don't spank so hard.
- 56:22Speaker 1: I guess I don't know I don't know. Should you
- 56:25Speaker 1: scrap the man or help him work through this? You
- 56:28Speaker 1: ask because you say he's perfect for you in every
- 56:32Speaker 1: way except this particular role playing situation. And you're not
- 56:37Speaker 1: complaining about him acting up or cheating or anything else.
- 56:41Speaker 1: But you're not personally or professionally equipped to handle him
- 56:45Speaker 1: and to help him work through this. So as I
- 56:47Speaker 1: see it, you have two, no three options. Okay, you
- 56:52Speaker 1: can Number one, you could stay gone over your parents' house,
- 56:56Speaker 1: stay gone, okay, don't come back to this math. Or
- 56:59Speaker 1: you can come back and get into it and spank him,
- 57:03Speaker 1: or or you can do that. I'm just saying, if
- 57:07Speaker 1: you're into it, hey, some people might be into it.
- 57:10Speaker 1: She said he's perfect in everything every way other than that.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Or three, see if this is something that requires therapy,
- 57:20Speaker 1: because it sounds like it does. See if this is
- 57:23Speaker 1: something do your research, something that you can work through. Okay,
- 57:26Speaker 1: because you say this guy is perfect in every way,
- 57:29Speaker 1: you know, those are your three options as far as
- 57:31Speaker 1: I see it, All right, Steve, Yeah, ain't nobody got
- 57:35Speaker 1: time for this. Ain't nobody got no damn time for
- 57:38Speaker 1: this foolishness? Right here? This punk ass sent a pin
- 57:41Speaker 1: and put some damn white booties on it to die
- 57:44Speaker 1: er here. Mommy, mommy, you are what nobody got time
- 57:49Speaker 1: for this. This ain't even a mama's boy. This is
- 57:53Speaker 1: a mama's baby. Y'all got enough to work through in
- 57:58Speaker 1: the relationship. You're gonna add it. It ain't been but
- 58:00Speaker 1: seven months. Run, get your ass out. Where is this going?
- 58:08Speaker 1: And then his ex wife had to tell you about it?
- 58:11Speaker 1: Why you think he got an ex wife? If he
- 58:13Speaker 1: all that, he's so damn perfect, he forty five, why
- 58:19Speaker 1: ain't he got nobody? Listen to me, this is what
- 58:23Speaker 1: you want to do. Drop his ass off at day
- 58:25Speaker 1: care and drive off. Leave his ass right there. I
- 58:32Speaker 1: got low for this letter when I come back. But
- 58:34Speaker 1: you this right here, this is nowhere for you. Lady.
- 58:37Speaker 1: You've got to be kidding me. Why would you take
- 58:40Speaker 1: this on? You can't fix. It's called infant infantileism. What
- 58:47Speaker 1: it's a thing. Then you gotta get past. What about
- 58:51Speaker 1: just infidelity? Well she said he doesn't cheat. She said that.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Rather that then coming here and your ass got a job.
- 59:00Speaker 1: All the orders poo pooed in this damn bad you're
- 59:04Speaker 1: rolling around in it. Tom, I need to get white Okayna,
- 59:07Speaker 1: get your as nothing, Shirley say. We'll have part two
- 59:13Speaker 1: of your response coming up in twenty three minutes after
- 59:16Speaker 1: the hour. Uh. Today's letter I'm falling in love with
- 59:19Speaker 1: a big baby. We'll be back right after this. You're
- 59:23Speaker 1: listening morning show? All right, Steve, come on, let's recap
- 59:28Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letters. Subjects I'm falling in love with a
- 59:31Speaker 1: big baby. Yeah, and I'm not recapping the damn thing.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Listen to me now, if y'all this woman is in
- 59:39Speaker 1: love with this man that's got a problem. His ex
- 59:42Speaker 1: wife told the woman about him. She get along with
- 59:44Speaker 1: the ex wife, got a little kid, she loved a kid.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Now hit the problem in he suffers with this thing
- 59:49Speaker 1: called infant to well, he he told her. She asked him,
- 59:55Speaker 1: as that's something she wants, She said, yeah, it actually is.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Told her to go out the room. She go out room,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: come back his big ass. Fortify you, old man, and
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: put a diaper on, got on some damn white socks
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and in the flow talking about he won'ts kind of
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: spank her. Mommy, mommy is me getting baby? My mommy
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: coming here? Hind with it. Man, if you don't get
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: your ass out of this bed. He because you don't
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: know how far this is going. This ain't therapy. You
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: ain't got time for this. I don't care. High grade
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: of a guy he is, he got some other damn problems.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Listen to me, mamma, your black ass up and get
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: out off this bed and put your damn pants on.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Where's your draws? He got a dipper or sitting up
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: in here, sitting up in here, and now he pulled
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: pulling on himself. You gotta wipe his big ass. She
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: did not say that in the letter. Well, I'm just saying,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: you don't know how far this is going. If he
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: plays this infantilism, how far is he gonna go? Is
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: he gonna wake up one morning decide he don't feel
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: like going to work, use he won't go outside and play?
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: What does he even do? We're saying in baby talk,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I don't want today. I'm gonna staying there. Have to
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: play today. No, I don't want to go to work.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I want to watch the cartoons. But you gotta go
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: to work. We gotta eat, We got to eat. You
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: gotta make it. I didn't want to bottle. I don't
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: want to eat. I wanted to eat it. I want
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: apple sauce. We don't. We don't have no appasades. We
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: all out. We're completely the apples. You know why we
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: out of apple sauce because my ass ain't been to
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: work this month. What you gonna I don't know. I
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: was gonna keep this dip on it. See how I
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: could milk this thing? You see how this sounds. Don't
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: make no damn sense. Got to stop this hell. We
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: got to stop this hell. We cannot. Lady, get out
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: of this relationship. I don't give a damn what he
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: talking about. The lady told you what he'd do he'd
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: been doing if his Are you familiar with this secret? No?
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: So you asked him about it? He get on all
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: for he I've been wanting to tell you about what
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: that's craziness. He's a grown ass man. You ain't got
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: time to go back infantilism. He needs to help Steve.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Now let me at forty five, he got about another
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: thirty years. He may be in that die for any
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: damn one. See so now what he were in it for? Now?
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: See he in the dipper? Now that's too early. I'm
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: just sick of people like this here, of all the letters.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: We got, you know what, pull his diaper down and
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: beat his ass. Yeah, but you ain't. She needs help.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I'd give him some wood. I snatched that dove down
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: and I got some sci fi stuff at the house. Boy,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: baby talk one more time? Wad this is baby talk
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: right here to watch it. I want you to say

- 1:03:36Speaker 1: me to h Now you got to try to control
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: then why this letter reminded me of Jay? Though I've
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: done some kinky things, but that one happened I didn't
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: know a lot of Yeah, so that's real baby talk.

- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Yeah a bit? Asked me? So, so you don't I
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: think you need a nap? You should just take a nap.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: The nap. You don't want to nap. You want to cook.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: You want to get said you want that, not from
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: you sir, even though you may be capable, not from you.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: And I don't want one of Yo cookies either, because
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Yo cookie. The last time my head Yo cookie, Uncle Jake,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I would hide. Hell, that's what she should do. One
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: of these cookies. That game. All right? Thank you guys.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Post your comments done. Today's Strawberry letters. Steve Harvey. I'm
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook and coming up at forty six
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Time to get really serious and
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: trending news. Minneapolis City Council they have announced their intent
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: to disband the Minneapolis Police Department. Wait till we wait
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: till we come back, and you hear about this right
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: after this you're listening to morning show. Members of the
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Minneapolis City councils say they're overruling Mayor Jacob Fry and
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: will commit to this attling their police department, meaning get
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: rid of it completely. The stunning announcement was made on Sunday,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: with nine out of thirteen members coming out in support
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: of that idea, which gives them a majority that can't
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: be vetoed by Mayor Fry. So, now, what does this
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: mean exactly? Okay, the council members admit it won't be
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: an immediate change. But make no mistake, they say, when
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: the dust settles, Minneapolis will not have a traditional police department.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: What the alternative, according to them, is community based safety,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: a term they've yet to explain. Well, I don't know
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: what that means. I need police in the city I'm
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: living in. Yeah, I mean, you want the good police
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: there to serve. Now. What they have to do, though,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: is they have to go in in totally revamp the
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: hiring policies and the training policy. They have to ban chokeholes,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: they have to ban shooting in the back. Yeah, they
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: have to bay knees on your neck. See that's because look, man,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: if a guy here's and it has to be consequences
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: for murder. If you kill a person who is unarmed
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: under no circumstances, is that allowed. You're going to go
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: do some jail time if you're murder. You cannot murder
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: a person for resisting arrest. That's not a killable offense.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: And you're not judge and jury. You're the police. Your
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: job is to protect and serve, and so far that's
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: not been what some of the police officers have done,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: especially in that black community. So I think they have
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: to change policies, and I think they have to have
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: a directive come down and just let it be known
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: if you shoot an unarmed person, you're going to do time.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Have you seen that movie The Purge, you guys have
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: see where it's just seen that lawlessness after a certain
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: time at night. People are saying, that's what it would
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: be like if we didn't have the police, the you know,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: the good cop. If you don't have police, you gotta
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: have law and order. You have to. But the law
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: tell us, right, but the law and order has to
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: be fair and just across the board, and the most
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: law and order that needs to be put into place
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: right now. Because we have law and order for regular people,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: we don't have law and order for police. It's what
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: we don't have. That's true. They're the ones right now.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: We have the police, the police because they cannot continue
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: to be able to continue to get away with these
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: crimes against people of color. Yeah, and there are notes
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: constantly if you shoot an unarmed person, that's that's a crime.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: If you kill a black person, that's a crime. It's
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: how it's a simple ass change. Yeah, a crime. Damn Yeah.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: All right. Steve coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about voting on Tuesday right after this.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: You're listening, So, Steve, we just wanted to remind everybody
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: that tomorrow is Super Tuesday. There are five states which
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: you're holding elections. That is Georgia, that is your home
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: state of West Virginia, Steve, North Dakota, Nevada, and South Carolina, Jay,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: where you were born. That's one thing this protest is
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: bringing out. It's so many black mayors. It's so many.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: But I didn't know about. Yeah, it's just going and
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: say I didn't know it was that many. I really did.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Which is a good time if you black as white
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: people for stuff, you're so crazy, all right, So please
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: please please go vote today. Your vote matters, you matter,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: That's right, really, yeah, and this is a prelude to
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: what's to come. Georgia, Georgia, West Virginia, North Dakota, Nevada,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: and South Carolina. Important South Carolina for George Georgia. Yes,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: let's go, baby, let's go. Yeah. Yeah, we gotta get
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: to the poles and both we see we've got to
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: extend the protests into the polls. That's right, Yes, let's
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: extend this protest right on into the polls because they
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: really hear you when their jobs are at stake. So
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: let's get this protests into the polls. That's right, that's right. Yeah,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: the big dogs for you not to let me say this, man,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: when I go to the postive sometimes I can't lie
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: to you. Man. Sometimes when it's a sheriff or I
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: don't know who I'm supposed to vote for. You you
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: know what I mean. Yeah, I just don't know. Yeah,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: that's on you. That's the part I don't know. And
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: then that's when most people vote. This all democratic. Just honestly,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: I don't know these people and what I'm doing. I
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: don't know anybody who goes to the polls. That's completely
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: up on every single piece of legislature, Every amen, men,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: every bill, I don't know anybody. So as you're reading
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: over it, you know, as you're reading over it, you know,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: like the big ones will have commercials leading up to it.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: You know, they're trying to pass a bill about something
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: something they're giving a dressed up name, but the explanation
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: of it is on the ballot, but the explanation is
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: oftentimes confusing. Vote no if you don't wish to be
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: taxed extra something like that. So they're right, you have
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: to get educated. I don't know anybody that knows all
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: of the issues going in So just to be honest
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: with you, like right now on this one, I'm voting
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Tuesday because I'm in Georgia, and when I vote in November.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: If I'm confused, I just punched Democratic because I'm just
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: sick of this. Listen to me. If you're sitting here
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: and you're in total agreement with Donald Trump just because
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: you're a Republican, then there's something wrong with you. And
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: that's the thing that's gotten me really really sick this
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: past election about bipartisanship. I mean, it's ridiculous. Your candidate
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: can be ever so wrong and you know it in
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: your heart that they wrong, and you won't speak up
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: against it because your silence is consent. And they've consented
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: to this man's behavior through silence, and they're scared to
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: say something because they know here tweet about him. So
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: if I'm if I'm in the posed and I'm confused,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna vote Democratic because I'm just tired of the
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: way that they've allowed this man to just do what
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: he wants to do and nobody has the courage to
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: stand up to him and say, hey, this is not presidential.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: I don't care if you work on Fox and nowhere else.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Now Hanna, it is his boy. Hannity is jammed so
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: far up the President's behind he can't see he's done
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: a fantastic job. What oh man. If you listen to Hannity,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: if you listen to Tucker Carson, I think you have
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: to go to the local level, though, because this is
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: what affects you every day. That's the everyday part, and
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: that's the stuff that we don't know, Carlin. But you
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: got to educate your attorney, the mayor, the police chief.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: They hire all of these people, schools, what you get
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: resources for at your schools. All of this stuff affects
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: your life every day. And you got to listen to
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: what the president is saying. When he did the pandemic,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: he left it up to the governors. So now you
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: need to know who the governor is because he's running
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: your state. You see what I'm saying. Yeah, coming up
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: more of today's trending stories on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: We'll be back at twenty minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Marine Corps has ordered
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: that they are banning the public display of a Confederate flag,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: a band that extends to bumper stickers, clothing, mugs, posters,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: and more. The order directs Marine Corps commanders to find
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: and remove displays of the flags and workplaces, common access areas,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: and public arenas on base. Exceptions include state flags that
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: include the Confederate flag, individual barracks, and private vehicles. Long over, dude,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Yeah there's still an issue in twenty twenty. Well, you
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: can't keep holding on to symbols of racism and separatism
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: and injustice and then expect, not expect people to constantly
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: remember it and be reminded of it. It's like the Mississippi.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: They want the Confederate they want a Confederate monument taken
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: down in Mississippi. Well, there, that's high grandfather. Your grandfather
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: owns slaves man, So I don't really give a damn
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: if it is your grandfather. Your grandfather was wrong, This
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: country was wrong, This country is wrong, and so you
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: have to remove those items that perpetrate that type of thinking.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: And and them generals and all that stone mountain showing
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: that damn layers and show that racist asked, mess kill,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Billy is out there, Holland man something rising? No, damn
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: more this Atlanta Podner, this Atlanta? All right, Steve, we
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: got more of the Steve Harvey. I'm not here with
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: that rise If you want to, they got something for
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: you down him and some trending news the thirty three
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: minutes after the hour right after this, you're listening Stry
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Morning Show. Joe Biden will express his condolences in person
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: and meet with the Floyd family today in Houston before
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: George Floyd's funeral. The former VP Vice President has also
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: taped a video message to be played during the funeral
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: real service. In addition, Reverend Al Sharpton and Attorney Ben
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Crump will speak at George Floyd's final service on tomorrow
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: on Tuesday, Can I say something to show? Of course?
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: This is see, this is what Donald Trump should be
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: trying to do. He should be a discount. He doesn't
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: have a compassionate bone in his body. Doesn't appear that
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: little one phone call he made to the Floyd family
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: for two minutes, he could he could have done something else. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: And they said they couldn't get a word in edgewise.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: He just overtome, he showed up, he get booed. Yeah,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: he disrupped the whole funeral. Yeah he would. Yeah, at
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: this point people are just him. Yeah, it's going to
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: be at the found you know. Well, y'all. For some reason,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: I think this is good. I think we show exactly
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: who Trump is and hopefully we need you know, I
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: think this is good to be honest, Yeah, tune. It's
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: always good to know who the real person is and
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: what they'll do in time. But the part they're scary
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: it to me is it's also gonna show us whether
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: this country is healed or continually sick. Yeah, that's the
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: scary part. You're absolutely right, because if he gets back in,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: if he gets voted back in, uh you know, wow,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: business something wrong. Yeah, business as usual, you know. So
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: we just have to do our due diligence and we
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: have to vote. I mean, that's what we can do. Period.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: We gotta madge to the polls like we mauch in
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: in droves. That's right, that's right, Say it again, Jay,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: We gotta mauch to the polls like we're munching right
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: now in droves. That's right, all right. George Floyd's funeral
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: will be tomorrow at the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: And wow, it's been a lot going on and this
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: will be his final resting place, right and he's this
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: one today public viewing today from the burial. Yeah. Wow,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: that family has been through so much, so much. And
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: trending news. Washington, DC's Mayor Muriel Bowser had Black Lives Matter.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: She had a whole mural. In case you haven't seen this,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: and who haven't, who hasn't seen it? I love this.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: She had a whole mural black Lives Matter mural painted
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: on the street that leads to where the White House.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: You can see it, yes, you can. It leads to
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: the White House where protesters have been demonstrating. Mayor Bowser
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: also renamed the street in front of what the White
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: House black Lives Matter Plaza Northwest. Okay, bows were change
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: some more damn streets. All right, coming up our last
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: that's the break of the day, ends up. Don't shoot
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: And some closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Harvey at forty nine minutes after right after this, you're listening,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: all right, Steve. Here we are our last break of
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: the day on this Monday yeah. And you know, in closing,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: let me say this, UM, I've not written anything down
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: for this closing remark. It's just really off the top
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: of my head. Most of them are anyway, But in
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Louis of what's happening in our country, I wanted to
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: say this to offer a glimmer of hope to young people. UM.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: I was doing an interview and I said in the
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: interview that protesting protest is a young people's sport because
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: of the way I watch it on TV now, because
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: of the brutality of some of the police's tactics. Protesting
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: as a young people's sports you got to be able
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: to run, jump over stuff, get back up when you fall,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: you know. And so I just made the comment that
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: it's protesting as a young person's sport. But as the
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: young people out here protesting, there's some valuable knowledge you
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: can gain from old heads cats that have been in
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: the game for a long time, that have seen it.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I happen to be sixty three. I've dealt with this
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: my entire life. I've never known a life not feel
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: with protesting. Angry and anger from black people over the
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: treatment that they've received from police officers. The clan, skinheads, politicians,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: the military, and the beat goes on and on and on.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: So I'm fully aware of what protest is. I have
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: learned though the tricks that they used to squash protests too,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: And I've said it on my radio show. See this
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: is our platform, this is we are Shirley Strawberry and
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Collar for Real and j Anthony Brown and Kiss Spates
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and Thomas Miles. This is where we raise our voice
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: on a daily basis. We are not hidden from public site.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: So I'm proud of my morning show for being on
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: the front line every day over the airways making statements
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: that are maybe not the most popular statement to make,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: and we've made it over a twenty year period. But
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: the way things are happening now, this glimmer of light
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: that I happened to see, the different from all other
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: protests that I've been involved in, is that we got
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: a little bit of help starting to show up right now.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: And it's not that black people are not capable. We are.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: I mean, I think of all the things we were
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: still at the four hundred years of slavery, the civil
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: rights movement, When I think of all of the lynchings
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: they're tying the feather and declan the skin head, the
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: unjust judicial system that we thrive under, the passing of
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: laws that's targeted towards poor blacks, the mandatory sensencing laws
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: that have come down that affected so many others that
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: don't affect other people. I think of all of that,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: and we're still here and we're still surviving. And so
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: it's not that we can't do it, or we can
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: because we've done everything else. It's just that in order
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: to really accomplish this, man, we just needed some help
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: this time. We needed some people to say, hey, because
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: we're not gonna stop. We're not gonna stop getting sick
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: and tired of being mistreated. Black people are not gonna
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: get sick and tired of it. Just but you know,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: somebody told me one time I was talking. They said, man,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: we're working on it. Guy's got to be patient. How
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: much more patience can we have? Slavery was four hundred years?
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: How patient can you be? Racism has lasted longer than
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: slavery because after you ended slavery, the racism part if
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: it continued, and so there is no more patience, there
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: is no more hanging there. We're working on it, No
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: like the protests saved. What do we want justice? When?
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Do we want it now? Not next year, not in
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, We want it today, We want it
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: at this very moment. We want the same thing that
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you sang about we wanted to apply to us. We
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: want that constitution that your forefathers wrote to apply to us.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: We want that star sprang Obanner that you require everybody
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: to stand for. We want that Star sprang Obanner to
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: be sung to us, about us and with us. If not,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: we're not standing no more. We're tired. And there's nothing
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: against the military. It's really not, and it's not against
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: the flag. It's against the peace people who uphold the
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: unjust laws for people of color. That's what it's all
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: ways been about. All of us have family members who

- 1:24:17Speaker 1: ever we knew, served in this military. Collie got a husband,

- 1:24:36Speaker 1: the Tuskegee ammen. What you're talking about, We're the Buffalo soldiers.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: What you're talking about. We was in the military fighting
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: for a country that didn't even want us. What what
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: We went to Vietnam with everybody else that war we
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: wasn't supposed to be in. We went to Gulf War,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Afghanistan and every other war you didn't created. They ain't
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: got nothing to do with us. Where you're fighting for
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: a country, don't won't ask you. I'll be kidding me.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: This has never been for us about that. It's just
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: been about justice and equality. We want the same treatment.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: And now I can say I appreciate the folks who
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: are non blacks that's out there on the front line.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: Thank you. Man. If you ain't part of the solution,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: you part of the problem. And if you're sitting up
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: being a solid now, it's something wrong with you because
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: they ain't like you don't know. We've been in quarantine
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: for three months, you know. Okay, those are my clothes
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: with remarks. Whether they made sense or not, that's it.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: They made plenty of sense. What are you talking about
