- 2:14Speaker 1: I want to just share something with you along your
- 2:20Speaker 1: way to wherever it is you're trying to get to.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You know, every everybody has a different definition for success,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and I'm not. I'm not here to tell you what
- 2:31Speaker 1: joy should be. I mean, please pursue whatever you think
- 2:34Speaker 1: success he is aim as high as you can though,
- 2:38Speaker 1: that's for sure. My father used to say all the time.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I'm sure you all have heard it in different variations,
- 2:45Speaker 1: but he used to always say, aim for the moon.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Just in case you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Just say that to me all the time. So that
- 2:54Speaker 1: always was in me to aim high. Now he wasn't
- 3:00Speaker 1: saying aim with the intent to miss. He was just
- 3:03Speaker 1: saying aim. In case you miss, you're still a mongst
- 3:09Speaker 1: the stars if you aim for the moon. But if
- 3:11Speaker 1: you just aim for that first flow wind and you
- 3:14Speaker 1: miss it, you know, usually run into some type of
- 3:18Speaker 1: wall and nothing happens. You slither down. You know. In
- 3:22Speaker 1: my book, act like a lady, think like a man.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I told her people that men love three ways. They profess,
- 3:28Speaker 1: they provide, they protect, and that's the core essence of
- 3:31Speaker 1: a man's love. Well, there's some other peas in life too.
- 3:37Speaker 1: The number one thing you have to understand about trying
- 3:41Speaker 1: to be successful, and I guess I call this the
- 3:45Speaker 1: four peas. I may come up with five along the way.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just talking as is given to me.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So I'm gonna summer start by saying, as these are
- 3:54Speaker 1: the four peas of success that you have to get
- 3:58Speaker 1: ready for. Number one on it's pressure. A lot of
- 4:03Speaker 1: it is applied by the circumstance of what you're trying
- 4:06Speaker 1: to go for and what you're trying to do, but
- 4:11Speaker 1: a lot of it also is self imposed pressure. It's
- 4:15Speaker 1: what you put on yourself to make it. It's a
- 4:19Speaker 1: sense of urgency. It's a sense of necessity. But pressure
- 4:27Speaker 1: is the first thing I want you to be ready for.
- 4:30Speaker 1: And pressure comes in a lot of different forms, but
- 4:33Speaker 1: it's going to be pressured. As an old saying that
- 4:35Speaker 1: pressure buster pipe. See, that's why most people turn around
- 4:39Speaker 1: because of the pressure of trying to be successful. I
- 4:42Speaker 1: want you to get it in your mind that it
- 4:45Speaker 1: is going to be a pressure rized situation on your
- 4:48Speaker 1: rise to the top. Pressure, but understand that that it
- 4:53Speaker 1: is what it is, is not going to change. That's it.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Prepare yourself, get ready for there to be pressure. The
- 5:04Speaker 1: second thing I want you to understand is when you
- 5:06Speaker 1: receive this pressure, you have to persist. You got to
- 5:11Speaker 1: stay at it. You got to develop a dog getness
- 5:17Speaker 1: has a There's a song who says, why must I
- 5:25Speaker 1: feel like that? Why must I chase the cat? Nothing
- 5:29Speaker 1: but the dog in me? That's a funny line in
- 5:33Speaker 1: that song, because really I was thinking about it one day.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I was humming it and and it, and it occurred
- 5:40Speaker 1: to me, said, why must I feel like that? Why
- 5:44Speaker 1: must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog get me?
- 5:50Speaker 1: And you know, now you could take it into literal
- 5:52Speaker 1: says that the cat chases the dog because it's innately
- 5:56Speaker 1: is in his spirit. That cats and dogs are a
- 5:59Speaker 1: lot of time enemies. Now people have pets in him,
- 6:02Speaker 1: proving that if you show love on both sides, they
- 6:05Speaker 1: can exist. And that happens too, but naturally, innately, when
- 6:10Speaker 1: your cat goes by a dog, your dog don't recognize him.
- 6:12Speaker 1: That some barking going on. I'm talking abo just walking
- 6:16Speaker 1: through the neighborhood or something. So, but the reason that
- 6:19Speaker 1: this dog's so persistent towards this cat is just cause
- 6:25Speaker 1: it's in him. It's innately in him. And what I'm
- 6:31Speaker 1: saying to you, just using that as an analogy, is
- 6:36Speaker 1: that you got to be you got to be persistent
- 6:41Speaker 1: in that. You got to develop some dog in you
- 6:44Speaker 1: now because pressure takes some fighting back. See if you
- 6:49Speaker 1: don't fight back against pressure, pressure buster pipes, So what
- 6:52Speaker 1: you think it will do to you? Pressure, crack walls,
- 6:56Speaker 1: pressure calls, explosions. So if you don't fight back to
- 7:00Speaker 1: hold it in, you understand pressure does most people in
- 7:05Speaker 1: the simple thing called pressure, the weight of what it
- 7:09Speaker 1: feels like to want to be successful every single day,
- 7:13Speaker 1: over and over and over and over and over. It's
- 7:16Speaker 1: just too much pressure. People crack. You got to persist.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You have to persist. You can the thought of giving
- 7:24Speaker 1: up can come, but you got to get it out.
- 7:27Speaker 1: You gotta persist. The next thing I want you to
- 7:32Speaker 1: think about is another something that I've been thinking about
- 7:37Speaker 1: for years and learn for years. It's called perseverance. To
- 7:41Speaker 1: persist means to insist. Its keyword in insist and persistence
- 7:48Speaker 1: insists you must. You must insist that this is going
- 7:52Speaker 1: to happen. Now, the persist I'm assuming means it's a proaction.
- 7:57Speaker 1: It's some type of proaction that you go to was
- 8:00Speaker 1: it to make it? You know, persist, You gotta be persistent.
- 8:04Speaker 1: You gotta be constantly at insisting that it happens. You
- 8:07Speaker 1: gotta be constantly at it. But the next thing I
- 8:10Speaker 1: want you to remember is perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance
- 8:16Speaker 1: means that when you've done your best, when you've persisted,
- 8:21Speaker 1: when you're fighting back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means
- 8:27Speaker 1: I'm going to hang in here when if a crack
- 8:31Speaker 1: come into pipe, I'm gonna hang in there. If the
- 8:34Speaker 1: pipe bust, I'm gonna keep going. If I got to
- 8:37Speaker 1: put duct, take mud, whatever, I got to put on
- 8:42Speaker 1: this thing. Man, I'm gonna use perseverance. I'm going to
- 8:47Speaker 1: stay with it no matter what. So we're looking at
- 8:50Speaker 1: the three things again. You got to understand that it's
- 8:54Speaker 1: gonna be pressure that you're gonna have to persist keyword
- 8:58Speaker 1: and persistence insist. You have to insist that no matter
- 9:02Speaker 1: what the pressure is, I'm gonna stay with it. But
- 9:04Speaker 1: then perseverance. If it goes wrong, Man, you got to
- 9:09Speaker 1: get in there and keep fighting. But then Lord Him Mercy.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Nothing helps you handle the three peas better than the
- 9:17Speaker 1: fourth pea. You got to pray. You got to use prayer.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You gotta talk to God. You gotta use faith. You
- 9:25Speaker 1: gotta have some conferences with him late at night, early
- 9:29Speaker 1: in the morning, in the middle of the afternoon, when
- 9:32Speaker 1: you own the train, when you're driving. You got to
- 9:34Speaker 1: talk to God. Man, you gotta get yourself some help
- 9:37Speaker 1: along the way. Nothing is bigger than prayer. There is
- 9:41Speaker 1: nothing bigger than prayer. Prayer will help you overcome the pressure.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Prayer will help you stay persistent, and Lord Him Mercy,
- 9:48Speaker 1: prayer will help you persevere them is the faux peas.
- 9:53Speaker 1: God gave that to me. I'm passing it on. You're listening, gentleman,
- 10:04Speaker 1: boys and girls, today is the day that the Lord
- 10:11Speaker 1: has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it,
- 10:14Speaker 1: oh man. And nothing makes your day start better than gratitude, y'all.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'm telling you started off just being grateful man, for
- 10:22Speaker 1: all the little things everything. Just try that. It's a
- 10:25Speaker 1: great way to start to day. That's how we're starting
- 10:27Speaker 1: it over here, man, This Steve Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry,
- 10:30Speaker 1: Colin for real, Mouth of the South, Junior Government name
- 10:35Speaker 1: Kills Spates and the legend that is Nephew Tommy Junior.
- 10:41Speaker 1: What's on your mind today? Man? Okay, Well, I'm trying
- 10:44Speaker 1: to grow up. I just want to grow man. I
- 10:46Speaker 1: just want to stand well, you know you you pretty
- 10:49Speaker 1: much where you're gonna be right now. Once you farted,
- 10:54Speaker 1: you farted something dog you. I'm talking about business, just
- 10:59Speaker 1: trying to so how did you grow your empire the
- 11:01Speaker 1: way you did it? The way you How you get
- 11:03Speaker 1: to be a mobile the way you are now? They
- 11:06Speaker 1: put something on Shade Room that I said yesterday. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: don't remember the exact quote, but I was talking about,
- 11:15Speaker 1: you know, when things go wrong, you gotta stick to
- 11:18Speaker 1: it no matter what happens. Well, oh, a setback is
- 11:24Speaker 1: a setup for a comeback, no matter what happens, keep grinding.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I was reading the comments. Just so happened all of man,
- 11:33Speaker 1: thanks appreciate the grind. No. No, somebody wrote in the
- 11:37Speaker 1: comments that said only rich people can talk like that.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Color Did you see it? Yes, you said that setback
- 11:45Speaker 1: was a setup for a bigger blessing. Don't get stuck
- 11:49Speaker 1: where you're at. Keep grinding. And then you put the
- 11:51Speaker 1: one hundred emojis after this. Okay, that's what shade room.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Least if you write down the first negative comments somebody
- 11:58Speaker 1: said was okay, you'd have to be a rich person
- 12:02Speaker 1: or something too. Rich people love saying stuff like this
- 12:06Speaker 1: to us, and it'd be blowing me because I don't
- 12:09Speaker 1: know if I can say that. Um well, but now
- 12:12Speaker 1: listen to this. See, young man, you're not you're not
- 12:16Speaker 1: you're not You're not in an acceptance mode of what
- 12:19Speaker 1: I'm saying. What I'm saying was that you know you're
- 12:25Speaker 1: gonna have setbacks in life, but it's a setup for
- 12:28Speaker 1: a bigger blessing. That's how you get to be rich. See,
- 12:33Speaker 1: you got to go through the setbacks. You got to
- 12:35Speaker 1: go through the overcoming stage. You have to fail in
- 12:38Speaker 1: order to win. What I'm just telling you was that
- 12:42Speaker 1: was a failure point in my life on many levels.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But I kept grinding and I find until I got
- 12:49Speaker 1: to the blessing. Now, why you think you got to
- 12:52Speaker 1: be rich to say that, You're missing the point of it.
- 12:56Speaker 1: The point is we all suffer setbacks, we have failures.
- 13:01Speaker 1: It's the grinding through that that will get you to
- 13:04Speaker 1: the other side. Everything you want in life, you got
- 13:07Speaker 1: to go through something to get it. It ain't nothing
- 13:10Speaker 1: right in front of your face. You got to go
- 13:12Speaker 1: through it to get to it. And why that person
- 13:16Speaker 1: right there didn't understand that, It's simple to me because
- 13:18Speaker 1: they are destined to be regular and nothing. That person
- 13:22Speaker 1: will be nothing in their life because they don't even
- 13:24Speaker 1: want to see they don't even want to receive constructive criticism.
- 13:28Speaker 1: That's what happens to a lot of people. Don't pay
- 13:30Speaker 1: attention to that, you're that's the norm. It was a female.
- 13:33Speaker 1: She was just saying, it's easier for you to get
- 13:35Speaker 1: another job, all right, all right, coming up at thirty
- 13:39Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour of the Nephew and run
- 13:41Speaker 1: that prank back right after this. You're listening to morning
- 13:46Speaker 1: show all right? Coming up next hour, we're gonna find
- 13:49Speaker 1: out what happened in the election. We're gonna let you
- 13:52Speaker 1: know our thoughts. You know we voted yesterday. It was
- 13:56Speaker 1: yesterday and for you we'll break it all the way
- 14:01Speaker 1: down for you as much as we can tell you. Bet,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I be what I think it is. In the meantime,
- 14:12Speaker 1: I bet you. I bet you that slave ben't I
- 14:14Speaker 1: raised it right here. It's time to start your morning
- 14:21Speaker 1: off with the nephew and run that prank back. What

- 16:13Speaker 1: you mean to tell me y'all taking pictures of people
- 16:16Speaker 1: before they d just so you could have them picture.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Oh foul. So we're keeping on filing. Then you have

- 16:28Speaker 1: that's what we feel that ain't signed up for nothing
- 16:30Speaker 1: like that. Who the hell signed me up for something
- 16:33Speaker 1: like that? I'm quite sure. But we're trying to schedule

- 16:38Speaker 1: we can get your picture taken next week. Week after

- 16:47Speaker 1: Don't you want to have a good picture on your program?
- 16:50Speaker 1: So you're not taking the picture of me for no
- 16:53Speaker 1: human arrangements that I'm not dead yet. I don't understand that.
- 16:57Speaker 1: What the hell is this about? Nobody who signed me
- 16:59Speaker 1: up for? Then? Tell me that much, sir. I don't
- 17:02Speaker 1: have the actual person listed here on who signs you up,
- 17:05Speaker 1: but I do have the number, and you are Darwin,
- 17:08Speaker 1: mister Darwin, So I didn't sign up for that. I'm
- 17:11Speaker 1: not taking the pictures you guys run around taking pictures
- 17:16Speaker 1: of people before that that just to have a good
- 17:19Speaker 1: picture on fail that. Man, I ain't never heard of
- 17:23Speaker 1: like that, sir. Okay, sir, are you? I mean we

- 17:30Speaker 1: I'm not available. I'm not available at all to take
- 17:32Speaker 1: no picture for a funeral that I'm not even dead yet.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I don't. I don't get that that that sounds like
- 17:37Speaker 1: a munch of more And I who the hell gave
- 17:40Speaker 1: you my number? That's what I want to know, sir.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure. But one thing we have to

- 21:03Speaker 1: know how it went, what you did, how we're looking.
- 21:06Speaker 1: What's happening at the poles, they're still there. We'll better
- 21:14Speaker 1: keep counting because I think it is saying that. Okay,
- 21:19Speaker 1: it bet not. We'll let you. I'm time to George.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm specifically time. We'll break it down for you next hour. Yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 1: right now it is time to ask the CLO Chief
- 21:35Speaker 1: Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building. He's ready for
- 21:38Speaker 1: your love questions. Let's go. Julie in Tarzana, Julie writes,
- 21:42Speaker 1: my husband and I rented out our guest house to
- 21:45Speaker 1: a young lady that has two dogs. My husband has
- 21:49Speaker 1: agreed to walk the dogs when she's at work, and
- 21:51Speaker 1: I don't think it's appropriate for a landlord to do that.
- 21:55Speaker 1: He says he thinks of her as a granddaughter. Am
- 21:57Speaker 1: I overthinking this? Or should she hire her own dog walker? Yeah?
- 22:02Speaker 1: You're overthinking it, and you're jealous the fact that he
- 22:04Speaker 1: would volunteer to do something for this woman. It's what
- 22:07Speaker 1: this is all about. You think it's You don't think
- 22:10Speaker 1: it's appropriate for a landlord. Why he looks at her
- 22:14Speaker 1: as a granddaughter. Now, obviously you're looking at her as competition.
- 22:18Speaker 1: That's all this is. Yeah, you know she's still gonna
- 22:21Speaker 1: be flies, She's still gonna be fine. To him, it
- 22:24Speaker 1: ain't fin the change, and he wants to walk the
- 22:27Speaker 1: dogs talk to her. Yeah, all right. Moving on to
- 22:35Speaker 1: Kia in DC, kid says, my best friend and my
- 22:39Speaker 1: boyfriend went ring shopping and she secretly showed me the
- 22:43Speaker 1: two rings they chose. I don't like either one of
- 22:46Speaker 1: the rings, but she begged me not to tell him.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I have to wear the diamond, not her. So should
- 22:53Speaker 1: I break her trust and tell him? Well, why don't
- 22:56Speaker 1: you just ask your girlfriend to guide him in another direct?
- 23:00Speaker 1: Since y'all tag team and then working with each other,
- 23:03Speaker 1: just say, girl, just say, look, you know what, I've
- 23:06Speaker 1: looked at these rings and I really I saw her
- 23:10Speaker 1: looking at a ring very similar to that in the
- 23:12Speaker 1: magazine the other day, and she did not like it.
- 23:15Speaker 1: And we got to take these rings back because that
- 23:17Speaker 1: ain't the one. She walked. Let's find something else. That's
- 23:21Speaker 1: all you got to do is go to your girl
- 23:23Speaker 1: and say that, and your girl will go right on
- 23:25Speaker 1: over to her man and do it. That's all. Yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 1: she going to help, Just say, hey, look, we were
- 23:34Speaker 1: looking at some rings and she found a ring that
- 23:37Speaker 1: was so similar, but it was amazing. She didn't like
- 23:39Speaker 1: either one of them. We got starred over. That's all
- 23:43Speaker 1: you got to do. Problem solved, m all right. Moving
- 23:48Speaker 1: on to James and DeSoto, James says, I'm a forty
- 23:50Speaker 1: four year old man and I gain weight. So hold
- 23:54Speaker 1: on one second. I think what happened is your girlfriend
- 23:57Speaker 1: picked him a little uglass rings because she jealous. And
- 24:00Speaker 1: don't think you that's all you need to get anywhere? Yeah,
- 24:03Speaker 1: get that out one. That's good enough. You can have
- 24:06Speaker 1: that in there too. But that's the point in sending
- 24:09Speaker 1: your best friends because she ain't your best for you.
- 24:14Speaker 1: All right? Well, moving on, Like I said to James
- 24:17Speaker 1: and DeSoto, James says, I'm a forty four year old man,
- 24:21Speaker 1: and I gained weight, so I snore really badly. Now
- 24:24Speaker 1: my wife has a habit of punching me when it
- 24:26Speaker 1: gets bad and it wakes me up. She hit me
- 24:30Speaker 1: so hard the other night that my reflex was to
- 24:33Speaker 1: push her. She's only one hundred and ten pounds, so
- 24:36Speaker 1: she slid right on out the bed. She believes I
- 24:39Speaker 1: did it on purpose. How can I fix this? You did? Dog,
- 24:43Speaker 1: your fat ass, get to the gym, fat ass one
- 24:48Speaker 1: pushing she in the flow, that was your reflection. She
- 24:51Speaker 1: hits you so hard with all that fat on it,
- 24:54Speaker 1: you ain't really feeling. How fat is you? Dog? How
- 24:58Speaker 1: bad was quarantine for you? Mmmm? So no, bro, you
- 25:05Speaker 1: messed out. That's snowing and got you all in jacked
- 25:08Speaker 1: up because you picked up all this weight, heavy ass chest,
- 25:11Speaker 1: just in there, just pressing on bag baben babeno ass.
- 25:23Speaker 1: So I can sleep. I got to go to work
- 25:28Speaker 1: in the morning. I'm hearing this dragon shovel down this
- 25:31Speaker 1: damn driveway. Shut your damn mouth, A big ass up. Herbert,
- 25:38Speaker 1: your fat ass, just sleep down somewhere else. Herbert what
- 25:42Speaker 1: everybody named Herbert or Herman because it were a big
- 25:46Speaker 1: fat he got a fat name Gotham. What we got
- 25:53Speaker 1: the fat everybody named Gotham fat? I got to go
- 26:02Speaker 1: to work your fat ass over here? Snow they ain't
- 26:04Speaker 1: only one lil hill. How can he fix this? That's
- 26:08Speaker 1: what he wants, This fat ass need to lose weight.
- 26:12Speaker 1: She thinks he did it on purpose, pushed her out
- 26:14Speaker 1: of the bed. How your reflexes just to push your
- 26:17Speaker 1: wife on the floe? Well you got mad because she
- 26:21Speaker 1: punched your fat ass and woke me that no reflects
- 26:25Speaker 1: your reflex ain't to punch push your wife. Dog better
- 26:29Speaker 1: get a new reflex, Yeah, right, dog? And who your
- 26:33Speaker 1: big ass gonna get anyway? Yeah? She a hundred and ten,
- 26:37Speaker 1: you probably about two eighty. Ore got nice and swollen.
- 26:45Speaker 1: He's forty four. He gained weight. He didn't say how much.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I'm telling you he big a lot of aDNA. Yeah,
- 26:53Speaker 1: but he snore is really badly now, all right? Last one?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Steve moving on to Carolyn in Lakeland. Carolyn and Lakeland says,
- 27:03Speaker 1: I'm married to a man that is easily irritated. I
- 27:06Speaker 1: have to walk around on an eggshell so he won't
- 27:08Speaker 1: flip out. My aunt is coming for a week, and
- 27:11Speaker 1: I don't want him to say anything crazy to her.
- 27:14Speaker 1: My aunt is a talker, So how do I keep
- 27:17Speaker 1: them apart for a week? They ain't gonna be able
- 27:19Speaker 1: to do with the house. Ain't that big? Hello? Your
- 27:21Speaker 1: damn ain't it gonna be here? Yeah? Hell yeah, she's
- 27:26Speaker 1: a talker. She coming for a week, y'all? House ain't
- 27:28Speaker 1: that big? What is she gonna be safe? Joe is
- 27:31Speaker 1: tighten him? Why is he so easily irritated? What's wrong
- 27:36Speaker 1: with him? Because you know fat ass Agnes is coming.
- 27:42Speaker 1: He's irritated with his wife. Yeah, but he really don't
- 27:45Speaker 1: like that aunt either. He's just irritated. Yeah, he's just yeah,
- 27:50Speaker 1: he's just well, he don't like No, he don't like you. Yeah,
- 27:54Speaker 1: yeah know, he even like your fat ass aunt walking
- 27:59Speaker 1: on the eggshel So you're just gonna stand in refrigerator.
- 28:04Speaker 1: You know how people coming there stand in refrigerator, be looking,
- 28:08Speaker 1: can't decide what are you gonna devour? Huh wow? Why
- 28:16Speaker 1: don't you ball egg? What is I gonna do? Well?
- 28:20Speaker 1: At least we're having eleven left he needs? There is
- 28:31Speaker 1: twelve eggs in there going let me see what how
- 28:33Speaker 1: much damage you find to do? All right, thank you
- 28:38Speaker 1: Stello moving on to the pack of baking coming up
- 28:41Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this
- 28:44Speaker 1: you're listening mon show. Well, yesterday was election day. The
- 28:52Speaker 1: control of Congress is still at stake though. All four
- 28:55Speaker 1: hundred and thirty five seats in the House and thirty
- 28:57Speaker 1: five of the one hundred seats in the Center it
- 29:00Speaker 1: we're on the ballot and as of right now, the
- 29:02Speaker 1: control of each is still hanging in the balance. There
- 29:08Speaker 1: are also goobernatorial elections, yeah, in battle brown states like Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania,
- 29:14Speaker 1: and Wisconsin. Unlike the presidential election, the midterm elections are
- 29:18Speaker 1: all about the popular vote. That is why it is
- 29:21Speaker 1: so important for everyone to vote, and that everyone did
- 29:25Speaker 1: vote in yesterday's election. So let's break it down for
- 29:29Speaker 1: what we know. So first, Steve, Okay, Pennsylvania showed up
- 29:33Speaker 1: and they showed out. I gotta say that first Senate race. First,
- 29:44Speaker 1: in the Senate race, we gotta say congratulations to John Fetterman.
- 29:48Speaker 1: You know that was Oprah's pick. John Fetterman is the
- 29:51Speaker 1: new Senator and we needed that Senate seat. Fetterman beat
- 29:55Speaker 1: Doctor Oz Television Commality and Doctor Doctor Oz and Also,
- 30:01Speaker 1: congratulations to Pennsylvania Governor John Shapiro, who defeated the Republican
- 30:06Speaker 1: Doug Mastriano. Now moving on to New York, Steve New
- 30:10Speaker 1: York elected its first female Democratic governor and Kathy Hokel
- 30:17Speaker 1: If you recall, HOCl has been governor since August of
- 30:20Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, with the resignation of former Governor Andrew Pomo.
- 30:25Speaker 1: She was a lieutenant governor back then. Nice huh, yeah,
- 30:31Speaker 1: we lost the Democratic seat in Ohio. Republican Vance won there.
- 30:37Speaker 1: In North Carolina, Republican. Well, when I went to bed,
- 30:41Speaker 1: she was winning, but Republican Ted Bud pulled it off.
- 30:45Speaker 1: He won against the Democrat Sherry Beasley, the sister there.
- 30:50Speaker 1: She was looking good though initially. Moving on to Florida,
- 30:55Speaker 1: Republican DeSantis Ron de Santis has been reelected the governor
- 31:00Speaker 1: and a Republican. Mark Rubio defeated Democratic candidate Val Demmings
- 31:06Speaker 1: in the Senate race. That's all I can say to that,
- 31:14Speaker 1: Rubio says, I mean, you know, American politics, it's just
- 31:19Speaker 1: it's look, when it comes to us, our constituents and
- 31:23Speaker 1: our concerns, ain't nobody concerned about it? But no, that's Okay, hey, hey,
- 31:32Speaker 1: the hell with what y'all talking about. What y'all want,
- 31:35Speaker 1: what y'all need. This is what we're doing basically, that's
- 31:40Speaker 1: what politically, and you know what, speaking of Florida, um,
- 31:45Speaker 1: all the political pundits and the analysts and all that
- 31:50Speaker 1: they're saying, it looks like the Republican Party is kind
- 31:52Speaker 1: of moving away from Trump now and making uh rhn
- 31:57Speaker 1: de Santis their guy. They're thinking he will probably be
- 32:00Speaker 1: the twenty twenty four Republican candidates. No he ain't. Well, yeah,
- 32:05Speaker 1: no he ain't. It's too many cowards. They're scared of Trump.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Do you understand me? They're scared of him, they are,
- 32:13Speaker 1: but they I mean, he didn't do well in this election,
- 32:16Speaker 1: is what they're saying. He didn't do so well. Who
- 32:18Speaker 1: didn't do well? Trump with his pit tu ain't running
- 32:22Speaker 1: for nothing? Yeah yeah, but he he endorsed people, Steve,
- 32:25Speaker 1: he endorsed people. But if he run again, watch if
- 32:30Speaker 1: he amounses for twenty twenty four. Watch there's a lot
- 32:34Speaker 1: of money on rond Santis though. I'm just saying, I'm
- 32:36Speaker 1: just putting that out there. Do not underestimate the cowardice
- 32:41Speaker 1: and the power hungry and the position hunger of those
- 32:45Speaker 1: people in power, and whoever scares them the most and
- 32:48Speaker 1: can promise them the most, that's who they're gonna go with.
- 32:51Speaker 1: And if Donald Trump say he running who gonna go
- 32:53Speaker 1: up against him? Who? It would be great. Let me
- 33:00Speaker 1: let me tell you something. I would love to see
- 33:02Speaker 1: anybody other than Trump. The only advantage that Trump is
- 33:06Speaker 1: you know what you're gonna get exactly exactly, and lease
- 33:13Speaker 1: play the damn game out. Yeah yeah, this dude, hell man,
- 33:19Speaker 1: at least show your tax returns, give us that scene,
- 33:26Speaker 1: give us that. Well. In your home home state of Georgia,
- 33:32Speaker 1: Republican Brian Kemp defeated our candidate of choice, Stacy Abrams Governor.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Kemp said, wow, well, it started off with Stacy and
- 33:43Speaker 1: the lead started off with her in the lead, and
- 33:46Speaker 1: then as the night went on, it kind of flipped. So, um,
- 33:50Speaker 1: I don't really know how close it was. And you
- 33:52Speaker 1: know what you would think, you would think with Raphael
- 33:57Speaker 1: Warnock being with the slight lead that he has over
- 34:01Speaker 1: herschel Walker, you thought in the voting block that would
- 34:04Speaker 1: have transferred to governor too, But it didn't. It didn't.
- 34:12Speaker 1: And I just think in Georgia. They are not ready
- 34:20Speaker 1: for an African American female to be governor. But I'm
- 34:26Speaker 1: gonna tell you one thing, though, I just I just
- 34:30Speaker 1: think that has a large part to do with it,
- 34:33Speaker 1: because it doesn't make any sense for Rafael Warnock to
- 34:36Speaker 1: be defeating herschel Walker. I mean, of course it does
- 34:40Speaker 1: to me because he's nothing. But there was that seems
- 34:45Speaker 1: to be something else going on with that governor governor's race.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what it is. I
- 34:50Speaker 1: don't know, all right. And to answer your question, it
- 34:52Speaker 1: was fifty four, Tommy. That's nine percent. That's a big gap, man,
- 34:59Speaker 1: That's that's a really all right. But but listen to
- 35:01Speaker 1: what Kemp said, though. Listen to what Kemp said, quote,
- 35:04Speaker 1: Stacy Abrams won't be our governor or your next president. Wow.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Uhhote man. Yes, yeah. If that's not a reason, If
- 35:15Speaker 1: that's not a reason right there, for sure, well, homie,
- 35:18Speaker 1: you might not get past this governor's chair, no way.
- 35:23Speaker 1: All right. We'll have more on the election day the aftermath.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to it's the day after
- 35:34Speaker 1: the election, and we're talking about some of the key races.
- 35:37Speaker 1: But we have to say congratulations to Westmore. Now this
- 35:40Speaker 1: brother is the governor elect of Maryland. Congratulations, congratulations web More.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Wetsmore is the first black person elected governor of Maryland.
- 35:50Speaker 1: That's that's history right there, historical win. There are still
- 35:55Speaker 1: undecided Senate races in Georgia and Arizona, and it looks
- 35:58Speaker 1: like there will be a runoff in Argin between Raphael
- 36:01Speaker 1: Warnock or Herschel Walker. On December sixth, the issue in
- 36:05Speaker 1: Georgia's Senate race, there was a third party candidate. His
- 36:09Speaker 1: name is Oliver, which made it difficult for Warnock or
- 36:12Speaker 1: Walker to receive a complete fifty percent of the vote.
- 36:17Speaker 1: So there you go. Why it close anyway? Seriously, man,
- 36:26Speaker 1: that's just that's alarming to me. That's just alarming to me. Yeah. Yeah,
- 36:33Speaker 1: again again, if it is a guess what we want
- 36:41Speaker 1: or need, that's how they voted. Because you can't tell
- 36:47Speaker 1: me that Herschel Walker is a competent candidate. You've got
- 36:51Speaker 1: to be kidding me. It's ignorant or rode all over
- 36:54Speaker 1: his ass. I'm just I'm just I'm just like, I mean,
- 36:58Speaker 1: I mean, seriously, you know, man, look, I don't mind
- 37:01Speaker 1: look anybody running, but man, at least be able to respond,
- 37:07Speaker 1: be intelligent, articulates something, Give me something. These stories when
- 37:12Speaker 1: he talked, these stories don't make no sense when he
- 37:14Speaker 1: talking because he lied, Junior. When you lying, it came,
- 37:18Speaker 1: how are you gonna make sense? And you're making it
- 37:20Speaker 1: up as you go. You know, ever since I was
- 37:22Speaker 1: a little boy, when I was a deputy sheriff in
- 37:27Speaker 1: there in the first play at Calver Hill Elementary School?
- 37:32Speaker 1: What what what are you talking about? Don't nobody give
- 37:35Speaker 1: a damn that I started to play baseball though, you know,
- 37:39Speaker 1: but I didn't his constituency. They didn't care. Yeah, all right.
- 37:47Speaker 1: In the Vada I was choking somebody and threw my
- 37:49Speaker 1: should out. And that's the only reason I ain't played baseball.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I mean, I wasn't choking him, but I was just
- 37:56Speaker 1: down to see I was not really choking. I had
- 38:00Speaker 1: fell on him with my hands on the neck. In Nevada, Steve,
- 38:05Speaker 1: the Senate race is tight, but the state has until
- 38:08Speaker 1: Friday to count the mail in ballots there. In Texas,
- 38:12Speaker 1: let's talk about Texas. Uh. Greg Abbott won again for
- 38:16Speaker 1: his third term against Bettor. Okay, so he's still in
- 38:21Speaker 1: there term limits. We do this, We absolutely do the
- 38:25Speaker 1: gubernatorial race. A lot of people were talking about Senator
- 38:28Speaker 1: to Tag Cruz when he got the can thrown at
- 38:31Speaker 1: him at the Astro's World Series SCIS game. Yeah, he
- 38:34Speaker 1: did not was not up for election this race for him,
- 38:38Speaker 1: Senator Ta Cruise. A lot of people want to know
- 38:41Speaker 1: what happened with that. So, all right, it's the day
- 38:44Speaker 1: after election day. We'll have more right after this you're
- 38:47Speaker 1: listening to, all right, it's it's a very painful loss
- 38:54Speaker 1: for us. Here in the state of Georgia, Stacy Abrams
- 38:57Speaker 1: has lost to kemp Um, the incumbent governor, Brian kemp Um.
- 39:05Speaker 1: The Republicans have also expressed very little concern working with
- 39:08Speaker 1: Democrats in the House or the Senate. In addition, former
- 39:12Speaker 1: President Donald Trump has been months teasing a twenty twenty
- 39:15Speaker 1: four presidential run, suggesting two supporters in Ohio on this
- 39:19Speaker 1: past Monday that he would throw his hat into the
- 39:22Speaker 1: ring as soon as next week. There you go. Steve
- 39:25Speaker 1: Trump said, I'm going to be making a very big,
- 39:27Speaker 1: very big announcement on Tuesday, November fifteenth at Marlago and
- 39:31Speaker 1: Palm Beach, Florida. Okay, so to me, if Donald Trump
- 39:37Speaker 1: throws his hat in the ring. Who would you say,
- 39:39Speaker 1: this boy is down in Florida, Rhnda Santas, you have
- 39:44Speaker 1: to go to a debate. What is he gonna say
- 39:46Speaker 1: about Donald Trump? Y'all? I'm telling you, man, these people
- 39:51Speaker 1: are cowards. They're cowards. You're gonna have to run a
- 39:56Speaker 1: campaign to get the nod for the Republican candidate because
- 40:01Speaker 1: there is a Democratic predator president. So you're gonna have
- 40:05Speaker 1: to have some a number of people running who is
- 40:08Speaker 1: going to verbally say something against Donald Trump without fear
- 40:15Speaker 1: of retribution of him and his goons that follow him
- 40:19Speaker 1: around because he control all the militia groups, all them
- 40:22Speaker 1: hate groups, them Donald Trump boys. Man. You saw what
- 40:25Speaker 1: they did to Sey bro bro They threaten your life,
- 40:31Speaker 1: your house, they come around your job. These people right here,
- 40:35Speaker 1: I think they scared a Trump myself personally if he
- 40:38Speaker 1: throw his hat in the ring. Man. But you would
- 40:41Speaker 1: think that the Republican Party is sick and tired of him.
- 40:44Speaker 1: You would think they would be. That's what they've been saying.
- 40:47Speaker 1: There's there's been rumblings of that. That's why Rhonda Santis's
- 40:51Speaker 1: name has come up because of that, and they're starting
- 40:54Speaker 1: to throw money at Rhonda Santis now as far as
- 40:58Speaker 1: being the Republican candidat it, and go ahead, Carl, I'm sorry,
- 41:04Speaker 1: Oh no, what I'm saying with Stacy Abrams says, She's said,
- 41:08Speaker 1: I may no longer be seeking the office of governor,
- 41:13Speaker 1: but I will never stop doing everything in my power
- 41:15Speaker 1: to make sure the people of Georgia have a vote.
- 41:19Speaker 1: So she is still always gonna fight for freedom, democracy
- 41:23Speaker 1: for the citizens of Georgia. It's just so it's so
- 41:26Speaker 1: painful that she lost. And let me let me say
- 41:32Speaker 1: one other thing about this thing. Four whoever the Republican
- 41:37Speaker 1: Party comes up with, if they lose, if they grow
- 41:42Speaker 1: some cahunas and all of a sudden go against Trump,
- 41:45Speaker 1: if somebody grows a pair, if somebody step upside their
- 41:49Speaker 1: cowardness and become a man or a woman, whoever it is,
- 41:54Speaker 1: what is the democratics answer going to be? Absolutely right,
- 42:00Speaker 1: Lord have mercy because at the approval rating right now
- 42:06Speaker 1: that Joe Biden has, he can't run again wholly because
- 42:14Speaker 1: his approval rating. I was gonna say this in all honestly,
- 42:18Speaker 1: it would have been hard for anyone to to come
- 42:22Speaker 1: after Trump with the mess that he made. It would
- 42:24Speaker 1: have been hard for anyone, you know, um to just
- 42:28Speaker 1: try and clean up the mess that he made. So
- 42:31Speaker 1: that's one of the reasons that Joe Biden, you know,
- 42:33Speaker 1: has such a low approval rating because of the mess
- 42:37Speaker 1: that he made. It's trying to clean stuff that you
- 42:40Speaker 1: are correct, and that's yeah, that is a one percent statement,
- 42:45Speaker 1: but it is what it is. Yeah, it is. And
- 42:47Speaker 1: he left the country in a horrible mess and getting
- 42:53Speaker 1: into here fixing it has been the next person's fault. Yeah,
- 42:57Speaker 1: but he has cunning Lee like he always done, has
- 43:02Speaker 1: been the teflon man. He has deflected all of that
- 43:06Speaker 1: stuff onto the Biden administration. And we as Democrats, this
- 43:11Speaker 1: party right here, they don't know how to fight. They
- 43:14Speaker 1: don't know how to fight. They don't know how to
- 43:16Speaker 1: handle mud slinging. That all you take the high road
- 43:20Speaker 1: and we stay on high road. This is politics. Ain't
- 43:23Speaker 1: no high road. The high road is low. You know
- 43:29Speaker 1: when they when they go low, we go to the polls.
- 43:32Speaker 1: That's what Oprah said. I'm with you on that one, Oprah.
- 43:35Speaker 1: All right, coming coming up next, we'll switch gears here
- 43:38Speaker 1: and get into the nephew's prying phone call for it
- 43:41Speaker 1: today right after this I don't feel like you're listening.
- 43:48Speaker 1: All right, nephew, it is time for today's prank phone call.
- 43:51Speaker 1: What you got? Well, we all get caught out there sometime,
- 43:55Speaker 1: Shirley get caught out there and there's nothing left to
- 43:58Speaker 1: do but give to reach out screen through the door,
- 44:01Speaker 1: or maybe call somebody on the phone. Can you bring
- 44:04Speaker 1: me some paper? Can you bring me some Everybody on
- 44:10Speaker 1: this show didn't done it. Everybody didn't got it as happened.
- 44:13Speaker 1: But no, no, I think it is. Ain't nobody el
- 44:17Speaker 1: brought to paper. Yeah, you're the only one. You're the
- 44:21Speaker 1: only paper first before. Yeah, we forgot you ain't never
- 44:29Speaker 1: forgot it, never forgot to look, No, I ain't the
- 44:32Speaker 1: only one. But okay, let's go with a cat. Can
- 44:34Speaker 1: you bring me some paper? Can you bring me some paper? Quilted, quilted,
- 44:42Speaker 1: bringing me that. Don't bring me that paper. They got
- 44:44Speaker 1: it that high school. I need quilted. Stop single plant.
- 44:52Speaker 1: But bring her something else, bring her something. You put
- 44:58Speaker 1: no pressure on that sco right through that thing. Hello. Hello,

- 46:02Speaker 1: I'm in the middle of cooking my wife from dinner

- 48:23Speaker 1: personal And furthermore, you're in the bathroom just jump tout

- 53:40Speaker 1: got it for you. Here. It is a strawberry letter.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Thank you, Sexy Tommy. Look at that. Look at that subject.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Excellent customer service. That is the subject. All right, Dear
- 53:54Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. My husband and I have been married for
- 53:56Speaker 1: nine years and we have two daughters. I work at
- 54:00Speaker 1: an area of sales rep, so I travel once a
- 54:02Speaker 1: month to service my clients. My husband has recruited his
- 54:06Speaker 1: family to help him with our daughters when I'm out
- 54:09Speaker 1: of town. I admire his parenting, but that's about it.
- 54:13Speaker 1: We have not had sex in almost four months, and
- 54:16Speaker 1: he seems uninterested, so I've stopped trying when I am
- 54:19Speaker 1: out of town. I wonder if he's cheating on me,
- 54:22Speaker 1: and recently I got the proof right on my front porch.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Let me set up the scene for you. During the pandemic,
- 54:30Speaker 1: my husband wanted to spruce up our theater room, so
- 54:32Speaker 1: I showed him how to do online ordering. Because he's
- 54:35Speaker 1: not as computer savvy as I am. I always order
- 54:39Speaker 1: everything online and he complains when boxes show up on
- 54:42Speaker 1: the front porch. I planned a trip to Disney for
- 54:45Speaker 1: me and my girls for my daughter's birthday in October.
- 54:48Speaker 1: So I was ordering a lot of stuff from online stores.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Last Tuesday, a box came with some other woman's name
- 54:56Speaker 1: on it, but it had our home address. It had
- 55:00Speaker 1: two dresses and a robe in it, but they were
- 55:03Speaker 1: sized small. I called customer service to figure out the
- 55:07Speaker 1: mix up. The customer service rep was patient while we
- 55:10Speaker 1: tried to figure out the mix up. She gave me
- 55:13Speaker 1: the last four digits of the credit card that was used,
- 55:16Speaker 1: and lo and behold, it was my husband's American Express card.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Then the customer service rep suggested that I give the
- 55:23Speaker 1: box to my husband and find the lady it belongs to,
- 55:27Speaker 1: or find the lady it belongs to. I couldn't find
- 55:30Speaker 1: any info on the woman, and when I confronted my husband,
- 55:35Speaker 1: he said his card is being used illegally and he
- 55:38Speaker 1: canceled it. I still don't believe he'd buy something for
- 55:42Speaker 1: another woman. What's really going on here? Well, one thing
- 55:47Speaker 1: you are wrong about is you didn't really get proof.
- 55:50Speaker 1: You said you did, but all you have is a
- 55:52Speaker 1: box with a woman's name on it. You don't know
- 55:55Speaker 1: who she is or where she lives. You don't have
- 55:57Speaker 1: a phone number, you don't have any social media information.
- 56:00Speaker 1: You have nothing. Really, your husband has canceled his American
- 56:04Speaker 1: Express card, so if he was cheating and buying another
- 56:07Speaker 1: woman's stuff, he got away with it in that moment.
- 56:10Speaker 1: You should have waited until you had a little more evidence,
- 56:15Speaker 1: you know, before you confronted your husband. But I do
- 56:17Speaker 1: say to you continue to trust your intuition and keep
- 56:21Speaker 1: watching him, because if he is being unfaithful, he'll do
- 56:26Speaker 1: something stupid again eventually. I know you don't want to
- 56:30Speaker 1: You know you don't want to hear that. You don't
- 56:31Speaker 1: want that to be the case, and I understand that,
- 56:35Speaker 1: But there has to be an explanation for him not
- 56:38Speaker 1: wanting to have sex with you. You said for four months, right,
- 56:41Speaker 1: and you said you stop trying, So that means he's
- 56:44Speaker 1: not trying at all. Why wouldn't he want to have
- 56:47Speaker 1: sex with his wife. Of course you would think if
- 56:52Speaker 1: that's the case, is he doing it with someone else? Well,
- 56:55Speaker 1: there's also still the issue of the woman's name on
- 56:59Speaker 1: that package. It was either a mistake from the post
- 57:02Speaker 1: office or your husband did buy those things for her
- 57:05Speaker 1: and had them sent uh to to your home while
- 57:09Speaker 1: you were out of town. That was so stupid, uh,
- 57:13Speaker 1: really stupid. But if you can find her, I say,
- 57:16Speaker 1: keep trying. That could be the key to unlocking what's
- 57:19Speaker 1: really going on here, because your husband is not going
- 57:21Speaker 1: to tell you the truth, especially if he listens to
- 57:23Speaker 1: this show. He's not going to tell you the truth
- 57:25Speaker 1: that he's got another woman, Steve. You know, I'm telling you.
- 57:30Speaker 1: You know what these personal injection do you have into
- 57:35Speaker 1: these letters? It's uncalled for, especially if he listened to
- 57:40Speaker 1: this show, because well, now, okay, you know, let's talk
- 57:48Speaker 1: about the double talking you'd be doing on this show. Okay, hello,
- 57:54Speaker 1: you will not about me, You will switch your story
- 57:58Speaker 1: and you oh oh theory to fit a damn letters.
- 58:05Speaker 1: At least stand true to the life. You're true. It's wait,
- 58:14Speaker 1: you're telling the truth about your lives? Is that what
- 58:16Speaker 1: you're saying? That's what you're saying exactly, And here we
- 58:22Speaker 1: go again. Excellent customer service. Shirley's always trying to break
- 58:29Speaker 1: up a family hill. She don't ever take the man.
- 58:33Speaker 1: I ain't never met nobody. Every man in the letter.
- 58:39Speaker 1: You got to be careful. You gave up your card
- 58:42Speaker 1: too early. You needed more evidence. All you had to
- 58:46Speaker 1: do is wait a little more, ever to keep watching him.
- 58:50Speaker 1: These are the things that Shirley says all women that
- 58:57Speaker 1: call into your house, let me tell you what happened here.
- 59:02Speaker 1: When we come back, I'm gonna do my latta all
- 59:04Speaker 1: at once because I want to go against because damn it,
- 59:12Speaker 1: somebody got the stand up for these men. Get not
- 59:17Speaker 1: against men. Don't you dare put that out there. I
- 59:19Speaker 1: ain't say you was against men. Don't say that. You
- 59:23Speaker 1: don't even imply it. Blost of these women up every
- 59:26Speaker 1: time they call it, call get some more evidence, and
- 59:29Speaker 1: you that's what those lies are all about. See right there,
- 59:33Speaker 1: right there? You assume that the man is lying. But
- 59:36Speaker 1: I'm fit to show you what's really wrong when we
- 59:40Speaker 1: come back, and surely do learn yourself something. Whatever, How
- 59:47Speaker 1: do you today think of a good life? For this?
- 59:52Speaker 1: Getting deside yourself today? Anyway? I'm taged? What are you
- 59:55Speaker 1: talking about? Hey, listen, we'll have part two of Steve's
- 59:59Speaker 1: response to this Strawberry letter coming up at twenty three
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Today's subject is excellent customer service.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: And we'll be right back. You're listening show, all right?
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: is excellent customer service you know this letter. Right here
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: is this woman. They've been married nine years, They've got
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: two daughters. Worked as an area of sales rep, travel
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: once a month service her clients. My husband has recruited
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: his family to help him with his daughters when she's
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: out of town. She says. I admire his parenting, but
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: that's about it. We have not had sex in almost
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: four months, and he seems uninterested. So I've stopped trying. Okay,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: you didn't find out what was wrong. You didn't just
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: quit trying. So now y'all sitting up, y'all ain't even
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: looking at each other. When I'm out of town. I
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: wonder if he's cheating on me. Recently I got the proof.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Where let's go look at the proof. She got right
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: on my front porch. So here's what she said. During
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: the pandemic, my husband wanted to spruce up the theater room.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Blah blah blah blah. She taught him anyway, She taught
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: him how to order stuff online. She ended up planning
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: a trip to Disney for her and her girls or
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: daughter's birthday in October, so she was ordering a lot
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: of stuff from online store. Last Tuesday, a box came
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: with another woman's name on it, but it had our
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: home address. It had two dresses and a robe in it,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: but they were side small. Now what have we learned
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: right here? First of all, if a man was doing something,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: why in the world would he put the woman's name
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: on the box and have it shipped to his house?
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Who do that? No, that's not that's hard, No it
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: We're not that stupid, Sherley. And it has two dresses
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: and the roll in it, but they were a side small.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Now obviously the writer of the letter is not a
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: small right, And now we have a problem. Now, ye
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I called customer service to figure out the mix up.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: The customer service rep was patient while we tried to
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: figure out to mess up. I know this. I know
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: this customer service as a woman. I already noticed here.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: She was patient while we tried to figure out to
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: make the mix up. The customer service rep was patient. Oh,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: here we go. She gave me the last four digits
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: of the credit card that was used, and low and behold,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: it was my husband's American Express card. You ain't supposed
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: to give away nobodies credit card information over the troll. Nobody,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: under no circumstances. Are you to do that, this woman
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: that budded up with another woman to bring another man down.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I'll be there. They have the customer service. Red suggested
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: that I give the box to my husband or find
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: the lady it belongs to. What who do this in
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: customer service? Right? Who sends a client out looking for
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: another woman and get a box to your husband? And
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: y'all figured it out together? Are you evil? Use an
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: evil daddy? Customer relish? Dude. I couldn't find any info
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: on this woman. When I confronted my husband, he said
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: the card is being used illegally, and he counseled it
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: case closed. Yeah, he'll tell somebody is using it, and
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: he kept dog on. Right he did, And then here
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: we go, Sherley, here's the part you need to grow
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: up and learn whatever. I'm grown, she said. I still
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: don't believe he'd buy something for another woman, and you
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: shit do it all the time here. Why would a
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: man order something haven't sent to his house and put
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: the woman's name on it? What stupid? Why would he
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: do that? That? Don't make no exactly you just he
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: just answered the question. And you only go out of
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: town once a more so at three days he noticed pack,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: it's gonna call right. He doesn't really know how to
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: use the internet online like that. She had to show
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: him and he just messed up. No, no, I disagree,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: she said herself. I still don't believe he'd buy something
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: for another woman. He canceled the car. But you and
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: that Jessy try to ask you and that busy body
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: ass customer service rep. We just set up in here,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: stop her fall. He passing out last four of credit
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: cards and all this hire you low down. That's some
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: duty mess right there. Two dresses in a robe, size small.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: We're in it with another woman's name. He's not having
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: sex with her as that? What? What? What's really wrong?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Is she mad because she ain't a small list? Some
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: blame Brian mess right here? Now now you mad? Now
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: you mad because she's small? Now you're gonna write a
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: letter in Oh, it's all lasting here. Then the customer
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: relp that we had a good buy herself helper before
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: this happens all the time. Girl, I'm not pleased, but
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: here going to last for this credit card? What? Please
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: leave your comments on Today's letter on Instagram at Steve
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Harvey FM. Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Coming up next Sports Talk with Junior right after this
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you're listening show. All right, guys, it is time now
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: for Junior and Sports Talk. What you got Junior? All right, Shirley.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: What this topic in sports right now is what is
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: going on with Kyrie Irvin? Is he going with time?
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Currently currently serving a five game suspicion over a documentary
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: he posted on his social media and he gots conditions
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: set for him to come back on these conditions they're
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: making him go through to come back after at all? Okay,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: he had to donate five hundred thousand to Hayden's anti
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: hate groups. He already gave them to the Jewish League
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: and they returned it. Yet now he got to meet
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: with the Anti Defamation League. He gotta meet with them,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: and then he gotta go undergo sensitivity training. Okay, now
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: this is I understand if is this fair to him?
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Is this something that's fair to him? No, it's not
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: fair because they're making him growl and craft gravel and
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: they're trying to make an example out of him for
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the rest of us. In case y'all thinking about doing this,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: look what we're gonna do to you. Now, listen to me.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: The man apologized, He realized he made a mistake. He
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: came forth and he apologized you making him spend five
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: hundred dollars for hate groups to a little something or whatever.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: He tried to give the five hundred thousand to the
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Jewish Deficial League or whoever. He tried to give it
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: to you, and they rescinded it. Turn it back. Now
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the nets gonna turn around and go where you got
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: to get this five hundred thousand to this y'all? Hold up? Man,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: hold up? The man said, I'm sorry. You don't you
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: don't get fined for being hateful? Sorry, he wrote, no
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: law not on social media? Yeah, got that? Where's his money?
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Brett fall to where he and his apology training. No
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: listen to me and they're wrong for this and the
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: man no, man, Kyrie, Irvin man. We got to understand
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: what they're really doing here. You. First of all, he
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: put a post in a comment he made on his
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: social media page about a movie he saw a documentary
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: he was in a support up. But then when he
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: found out it heard a group of people, he apologized
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: and took it down. Amazon man, y'all ain't saying nothing
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: to him? Right right where I'm Amazon made the damn movie.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Y'all still ordering from Amazon? Where to find that? For that?
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Who made the damn movie? Why? Y'all on Kyrie like this?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: See man, this is I'm telling you man, our country.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: The council culture is alive and will in every aspect
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: a basketball player's life, or TV host or radio host
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: down at your job, the HR Department, everything is. The
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: council culture is alive and well. If you don't agree
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: with what everybody else say, your ass is out, man.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: You get one, all right, bright, guys, we gotta go
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: mar of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right. It's it's
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: a very painful loss for us. Here in the state
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: of Georgia, Stacy Abrams has lost to Kem, the incumbent governor,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Brian Kemp. The Republicans have also expressed very little concern
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: working with Democrats in the House or the Senate. In addition,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: former President Donald Trump has been months teasing a twenty
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: twenty four presidential run, suggesting two supporters in Ohio on
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: this past Monday that he would throw his hat into
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: the ring as soon as next week. There you go,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Steve Trump said, I'm going to be making a very big,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: very big announcement on Tuesday, November fifteenth at Marlago and
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Palm Beach, Florida. Okay, so to me, if Donald Trump
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: throws his hat in the ring, who would you say,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: this boy is down in Florida, Rhnda Santis. You have
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: to go to a debate. What is he gonna say
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: about Donald Trump? Y'all? I'm telling you, man, these people
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: are cowards. They're cowards. You're gonna have to run a
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: campaign to get the NAW for the Republican candidate because
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: there is a democratic predator president. So you're gonna have
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: to have some a number of people running who is
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: going to verbally say something against Donald Trump without fear
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: of retribution of him and his goons that follow him
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: around because he control all the militia groups, all them
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: hate groups, them Donald Trump boys. Man, you saw what
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: they did to bro Bro. They threaten your life, your house,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: they come around your job. These people right here, I
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: think they scared a Trump myself personally if he throw
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: his hat in the ring. Man, But you would think
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: that the Republican Party is sick and tired of him.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: You would think they would be. That's what they've been saying.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: There's there's been rumblings of that. That's why Rhonda Santis's
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: name has come up because of that, and they're starting
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: to throw money at rhn de Santis now as far
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: as being the Republican candidate, And go ahead, Carl, I'm sorry,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Oh no, what I'm saying with Stacy Abrams says, She's said,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: I may no longer be seeking the office of governor,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: but I will never stop doing everything in my power
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: to make sure the people of Georgia have a vote.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: So she is still always gonna fight for freedom, democracy
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: for the citizens of Georgia. It's just so it's so
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: painful that she lost. And let me let me say
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: one other thing about to stay twenty four. Whoever the
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: Republican Party comes up with, if they lose, if they
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: grow some cahunas and all of a sudden go against Trump,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: if somebody grows a pair, if somebody step upside their
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: cowardness and become a man or a woman, whoever it is,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: what is the democratics answer going to be? Absolutely right,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Lord have mercy, because at the approval rating right now
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: that Joe Biden has he can't run again? Who because
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: his approval I was gonna say this in all honestly,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: it would have been hard for anyone to to come
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: after Trump with the mess that he made. It would
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: have been hard for anyone, you know, um to just
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: try and clean up the mess that he made. So
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: that's one of the reasons that Joe Biden, you know,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: has such a low approval rating because of the mess
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: that he made. It's trying to clean stuff that up.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: You are correct, and that's yeah, that is a one
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: percent statement, but it is what it is. Yeah, it is.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: And he left the country in a horrible mess and
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: getting into here fixing it has been the next person's fault. Yeah,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: but he has kind uningly, like he always done, has
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: been the tephlon man. He has deflected all of that
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: stuff onto the Biden administration. And we as Democrats, this
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: party right here, they don't know how to fight. They
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: don't know how to fight, they don't know how to
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: handle mud slinging. That all you take the high road
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: and we stay on high road. This is politics, right,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Ain't no high road. The high road is low. You know.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: When they when they go low, we go to the polls.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: That's what Oprah said. I'm with you on that one, Oprah.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: You're listening, all right. So a woman with a handyman
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: husband has come up with a very clever way to
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: earn some extra money. She rents her husband out to
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: other women. Her husband has excellent handyman skills, and she
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: knows a lot of women who don't have someone as
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: handy around to fix things in their homes. So she
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: created get this, rent my handy husband. She did this
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: for about forty four dollars an hour. Okay, this is
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: what you can do. Her husband can come over and
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: take care of any household projects that need to get done.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: What kinds of jobs do you think this man is
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: doing and these other women's houses for forty four dollars
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: an hour? Anything else? I'm just you know, I'm just
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: going out. I don't know a lot of women are
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: gonna send their husband over another woman. I just don't
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: know at all. I'd like to see the guy though,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: see yeah, yeah, yeah, look like I'd like to see
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: the guy and then the women that you know could
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: just be a handyman service though it could very well
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: be there. Yeah, and how did it come over? Forty
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: four an hour. Yeah, come over and take care of
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: any household projects that need to get done. I got
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: my own handed man, I got one myself. Panting lights filter,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: you're not hide them lights? Heals up there, ain't. I'm
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: not hold on, rich boy, Rich boy, y'all miss that
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: you got a handy man live at your house that
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: come and fix all you We gotta go. We'll have

- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the day on the selection day after math um and
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: here we are have something to say because it's my
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: closing remarks. With all that is going on in politics,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: with all that we hope for that we all we
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: aspire to every election, I mean, it's really clear to
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: me what's going on here. So it's a two pardon
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: this actuality of what's happening, but then as the reality
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: of what you can do about it. The fact of
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: the matter is, it seems to me that the things
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: that we seem to care the most about and need
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: the most in our community is the thing that they
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: care the least about and fight the hardest against. It
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: just seems obvious to me, because sometimes you think a
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: person ought to just do the right thing. You would
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: think that, you know what, we're all trying to make
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: it in this world together, we all trying to get along.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: This ain't gonna hurt nobody. If you allocate these funds
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: to keep this hospital open, it wouldn't hurt, you know.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: If you kept these allocated these funds to medicare, it
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: wouldn't hurt. You know. If you allocated this program to
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: keep school lunch is going for underprivileged kids, it wouldn't hurt,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: you know, It just wouldn't hurt. It really wouldn't. But
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: if it's our kids and our hospitals and our programs,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: then don't nobody give a damn. That's obvious to me.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: I mean, man, every now and then you'll get enough
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: righteous folks who just care about the right thing and
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: we can make a difference. But it's such a hard fight, man,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: And you know what, I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I am sick and tired of fighting and asking to
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: be equal. I'm I'm, I'm, I'm. I'm done with that.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I ain't got to ask you normal, can I be equal?
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I'm already equal. As a matter of fact, I don't
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: need your permission anymore to be equal. Now, the reason
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I can say this, and before you all get old,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: were Steve going with this? Here? I'm talking to all
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: of you that have a relationship with God. Now here's
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: the real upside to all of this. That if you
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: have a relationship with God, no matter what they do
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: in Washington, d C. In the governor's mansion, do you
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: know you can still make it? Do you know you
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: can make it in spite of all their policies? Do
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: you know that I have news for you? You can
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: you can because our system is flawed. We're in a
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: flawed system. When a country that claims to be the
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: greatest country on earth, I'm still waiting for the proof,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: because if you're the greatest country on earth, who are
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: you the greatest country too? Because I keep seeing too
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: many people without healthcare. I see too many people on
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: the streets without homes. I see too many people who
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: can't take care of themselves. I see too many people unemployed.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I see too many people suffering at the hands of
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: gun violence. I see too many people with the ability
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: to buy a gun that ain't got no business with
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: a gun. I am sick and tired of hearing on
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: the news mass shooting after mass shooting after mass shooting.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: The greatest country on earth, the highest population of imprisoned
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: people on earth is in the United States. We ain't
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: first in education, and we ain't first in money. We
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: ain't first in wealth per capital. We were not, but
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: we keep saying we the greatest. Well me personally, I'm
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: tired of a lie. Now. Have I been able to
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: make something for myself here? Yes I have, But by
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: the grace of God, though it wasn't because of policy,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: or it wasn't because I've been treated fairly contractually. Oh
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you that's not been the case.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Oh you or Steve, you got this and you got that.
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: Oh man, if I told you what they had versus
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: what I had, or you be stunned. But I go
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: on anyway because I know in a lot of ways,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I gotta do what I do to make a way
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: for the person coming behind me, the group coming behind me,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: because for them it will get better. I know this.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: I know there were some people in front of me
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: who did some things that was making impossible for me
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: to do what I do. So I get that part
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: of it right there. So that's why you can't just go, Well,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: if you don't pay me what I'm asking for, I'm
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: gonna just walk. Well, you could do that, but then
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: what we're talking about. My father raised me with the
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: analogy to some money better than no money. But then
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: they also raised me with the analogy that all money
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: ain't good money. And oh, I've had to learn that
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: one the hard way. So with this system as flawed
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: as it is, I still got God. As flawed as
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: this country is, you still got God. They can't take
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: that away. They can't they can't move at they can't
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: stop nothing. God God for you, so you can get
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: whoever you want in the White House and the Governor's mansion.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: You can get them in the center, you can get.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna do my part. I'm gonna keep voting.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep trying to make change. I'm gonna keep
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: on striving. I'm gonna keep on making it better because
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: I got grandkids. I got to keep letting them see
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: Paul Paul fighting, and they got to see the dog
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: in me. But when all of it shake down, I'm
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: so glad I got God. Ain't you, Because man, God
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: can get you through anything, even this too, Because this
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: too shall pass. Those are my closing remarks today. If
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: you didn't like it, I understand that too, Well, see
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: me next week. I try another one tomorrow. Y'all have
