- 0:19Speaker 1: true good it, Steve har to move to other stelesey,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join joining you doing me. You gotta turn
- 1:05Speaker 1: hur you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn got
- 1:43Speaker 1: the turnout, then turn the water the water go. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your tha, uh I sure will. Good morning
- 2:03Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:06Speaker 1: me NW one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man,
- 2:12Speaker 1: oh man, oh man. You know what y'all. I mean, really,
- 2:16Speaker 1: the goodness of God is overwhelming if you think about it,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I mean really really think about it, even even when
- 2:26Speaker 1: your circumstance doesn't look so bright, even when you're going
- 2:31Speaker 1: through something that's causing you discomfort, pain, Even even in that,
- 2:39Speaker 1: God's goodness is actually overwhelming because don't forget why you're
- 2:45Speaker 1: going through this moment. This first of all, this too
- 2:50Speaker 1: shall pass. But also secondly, remember man, ain't everything else
- 2:55Speaker 1: that you've gone through that seems so insurmountable at the time,
- 3:00Speaker 1: didn't you get past that too? I mean, it's amazing
- 3:05Speaker 1: if you really think about it, If you really don't,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you don't get stuck on any one issue your whole life.
- 3:12Speaker 1: The only people that get stuck on an issue they
- 3:16Speaker 1: whole life is people who won't let it go. That's
- 3:20Speaker 1: really all it is. That are people who exist, and
- 3:24Speaker 1: you may be one of them. Oh please, No, I've
- 3:27Speaker 1: been guilty of it myself before. But I learned something
- 3:31Speaker 1: that are things in my past that I just would
- 3:34Speaker 1: not let go of. It was done, it was over with,
- 3:38Speaker 1: I was past it, but I would not let go
- 3:42Speaker 1: of it. It was over. The dude that did it
- 3:46Speaker 1: to me didn't exist no more. The problem that it
- 3:48Speaker 1: created didn't exist no more. The only problem that kept
- 3:52Speaker 1: hanging on was I would not let it go. And man,
- 3:58Speaker 1: you can't go forward if you're gonna keep looking in
- 4:02Speaker 1: the past. It's an impossible thing. It's like driving a car.
- 4:08Speaker 1: If you keep looking only in the rearview mirror while
- 4:11Speaker 1: you're driving, you're going to crash pretty soon. And a
- 4:15Speaker 1: lot of people just keep crashing over and over and
- 4:19Speaker 1: over and over because you won't drive your car you
- 4:23Speaker 1: keep looking in the rearview mirror at to pass. Oh
- 4:27Speaker 1: woe is me? Oh? You know they did me like that.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You know, I ain't been the same since he cheated
- 4:32Speaker 1: on me. Oh man, ever since she stole my money,
- 4:35Speaker 1: I ain't been the same man. She played me and
- 4:38Speaker 1: ever since that out and treated women differently. My father
- 4:42Speaker 1: used to beat me. Okay, you know now, look, you
- 4:46Speaker 1: may have some deeper stuff going on, like you're abused
- 4:49Speaker 1: or molested as a child, But eventually, guess what, do
- 4:53Speaker 1: you understand that when you have relationship God, with God,
- 4:56Speaker 1: you can take that to him too and drop it
- 5:00Speaker 1: off and leave it there. Do you know that he
- 5:03Speaker 1: can fix and heal that. Maybe it's something serious like
- 5:07Speaker 1: that that you need fixing or healing from, a relationship
- 5:11Speaker 1: with God can fix and heal that. But man, come on, y'all,
- 5:17Speaker 1: whatever it is, and I'm not trying to downplay it
- 5:21Speaker 1: or make it act like it wasn't traumatic in your life,
- 5:23Speaker 1: because oh god, you don't want to you know, you
- 5:26Speaker 1: don't want nobody do that to you because you want
- 5:28Speaker 1: to be the you know, the post to child for misery.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So please don't let me take that from you. You know,
- 5:35Speaker 1: if that's your position, that's your that's your you know,
- 5:39Speaker 1: hall of Fame card. You hanging on too. I'm the
- 5:42Speaker 1: post to child for misery. Oh, no one is more
- 5:46Speaker 1: woe than me. Then please don't let Steve try to
- 5:49Speaker 1: take that from you. Go ahead and hang on to that.
- 5:52Speaker 1: But let me tell you something though. If that's what
- 5:55Speaker 1: you're gonna hang on to, that's what you're gonna always
- 5:58Speaker 1: be the poster child for missy at one point in time,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you're gonna have to get on the move past it.
- 6:03Speaker 1: You can sometimes, man, It's merely a simple thing of
- 6:06Speaker 1: taking it to God and leaving it there. You know,
- 6:09Speaker 1: some people don't have money for therapy. Some people don't
- 6:13Speaker 1: even know who to call for therapy. God is the
- 6:17Speaker 1: best psychologist in the world. He can fix it for you.
- 6:23Speaker 1: There is nothing too hard for God. You know when
- 6:26Speaker 1: something seems impossible, y'all, God does the impossible all the
- 6:30Speaker 1: time every day. You don't know how I know. I
- 6:35Speaker 1: just look at a couple of basic things. Do you
- 6:37Speaker 1: know that that sun comes up every day in the morning.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It comes up in the east and it sets in
- 6:42Speaker 1: the west. You can't do nothing about that. All you
- 6:45Speaker 1: can you can wish. Because you plant your flowers on
- 6:48Speaker 1: a certain side of your house, you can wish ya
- 6:51Speaker 1: all you want. Then maybe one day he would bring
- 6:53Speaker 1: it up out the northwest, so those flowers would Now,
- 6:56Speaker 1: now it's gonna come up about these. It's gonna come
- 6:58Speaker 1: about these. And it's set in the west. And once
- 7:03Speaker 1: the sun hits the horizon, when you look in the water,
- 7:06Speaker 1: like if you are out in la and you see
- 7:08Speaker 1: the sun going down. Once the sun once you can
- 7:11Speaker 1: visually see the sun touching the horizon, you have three minutes.
- 7:16Speaker 1: You have exactly three minutes. You can sit there with
- 7:18Speaker 1: your watch. You can time you're three minutes and it's gone.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Three minutes, it's gone. It's man. I read that somewhere
- 7:27Speaker 1: and then I went and tried it. It's gone every
- 7:30Speaker 1: day if if it's clear enough, not cloudy, once the
- 7:34Speaker 1: sun touches the horizon on water, you got three minutes.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I don't care who you are. You can want it
- 7:41Speaker 1: to be different. That's what he does. When the wind blows,
- 7:46Speaker 1: you can't do nothing about it. He can bring it
- 7:49Speaker 1: from the northeast, he can bring it from the west,
- 7:50Speaker 1: he can bring from the south. He can bring it hard,
- 7:53Speaker 1: he can bring it cool, he can bring it hot.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It's certain things that God, God does the impossible. All
- 7:59Speaker 1: the time. You can't explain him. You know how those
- 8:03Speaker 1: stars sitting up there, how how can you find these constellations?
- 8:07Speaker 1: The Big Dipper, the Little Dipper, Ryan the Hunter. All
- 8:10Speaker 1: that's God, that's Goin't nothing you can do about it.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You can't reach them stars, you can't shoot at them,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you can't move them out the way, you know, or
- 8:19Speaker 1: Ryan the Hunter's belt is gonna beat them three stars
- 8:21Speaker 1: out of angle. You can, you can, You can call
- 8:23Speaker 1: it what you wanna call. It's still that's what it is. See,
- 8:26Speaker 1: He does the impossible all the time. He created heaven
- 8:29Speaker 1: and Earth. You're saying that God can't get you through
- 8:33Speaker 1: your pass Somebody did this to me. It's the worst
- 8:37Speaker 1: thing I had, the worst childhood of anybody. God can't
- 8:40Speaker 1: get you passed at. He can move Heaven, mountains, Earth,
- 8:47Speaker 1: he can form the Grand Canyon, he can make the
- 8:49Speaker 1: water come over Niagara Falls twenty four seven. He can't
- 8:55Speaker 1: fix your little bit of pass yours. You you insignificant
- 9:00Speaker 1: and being as we are. It's amazing how people make
- 9:04Speaker 1: their problems bigger than God. Somebody told me one time,
- 9:07Speaker 1: stop telling God how big your problems are, and start
- 9:13Speaker 1: telling your problems how big God is and go on
- 9:18Speaker 1: with your life. Quit driving your car looking in the
- 9:22Speaker 1: rear view mirror. Ain't nothing back there but your pass.
- 9:25Speaker 1: And if it was hurtful or painful, or something you
- 9:28Speaker 1: just felt like you can't get over, take your problems
- 9:32Speaker 1: to God and leave them there. You hear the old
- 9:34Speaker 1: spiritual all you've heard it. Take your problems to the Lord,
- 9:37Speaker 1: Take your burdens to the Lord, leave them yet all time.
- 9:42Speaker 1: But you think that applies to everyone. But you come on, man,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and a lot of people out there going through much
- 9:51Speaker 1: worse than you have and have overcome it all. Why
- 9:54Speaker 1: won't you take the step to overcome your pass so
- 9:57Speaker 1: you can get on with driving your can see what
- 9:59Speaker 1: God trying to take you. But it's the trick of
- 10:02Speaker 1: the enemy. The enemy tricks you from seeing your future
- 10:06Speaker 1: by having you constantly looking in your pass. Man, it's
- 10:10Speaker 1: a trick of the devil. If the man, If the
- 10:12Speaker 1: devil just lets you quit, if he would just let
- 10:15Speaker 1: you get to drive in your car and look out
- 10:17Speaker 1: into your future, your future shows hopefulness. You have hope
- 10:23Speaker 1: when you see the future. But he can keep you
- 10:26Speaker 1: in misery if he keep you looking at your miserable pass.
- 10:31Speaker 1: He created you, He got a plan for you. God
- 10:34Speaker 1: looking for you. Man, God would love to hear from you.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Let's spend some time talking to God today. Hey, God
- 10:41Speaker 1: was having it. It's me. I know I ain't talk
- 10:45Speaker 1: to you in a while, but feel bad about that.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But I need you. He know that. Everybody should say
- 10:51Speaker 1: that prayer all the time. It's cool, all right, well,
- 10:56Speaker 1: all right, you're listening to show, ladies, a gentleman, I
- 11:04Speaker 1: have an announcement to make. This is the morning after
- 11:07Speaker 1: the State of the Union address. We are here, we
- 11:11Speaker 1: are tired, we are drained, ladies and gentlemen. It is
- 11:16Speaker 1: a Steve Harvey Morning Show. Sherley Straw. Uh no, because
- 11:23Speaker 1: we stayed up late, just because it was so boring.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve. I had I had two rough, I
- 11:30Speaker 1: had two bold night is boring things in a row? Man,
- 11:35Speaker 1: it was too long. Nothing else? Call it for real? Hello? Yes? Yes?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Is he still talking? Yes? Still, big doggy dog. I
- 11:46Speaker 1: think we got the same producers from the super Bowl
- 11:51Speaker 1: last night, same producer of dead That's what we got one.
- 11:57Speaker 1: You know, man, I guess I would have you know.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Just let me say this from the way he talks
- 12:08Speaker 1: and the way he reads. It's so damned distinct. I
- 12:12Speaker 1: know this shocking, man, there's no passion when he's reading.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You don't you don't believe what he's saying. No, because
- 12:23Speaker 1: you you can't believe it because he doesn't believe it,
- 12:26Speaker 1: because you know, somebody wrote that. It's almost like this
- 12:30Speaker 1: is what he's like, this is what this is what
- 12:33Speaker 1: it is. And I want you to stay with me, Shirley,
- 12:35Speaker 1: because you're gonna say, but I want you to imagine
- 12:37Speaker 1: that there's a camera. What Donald Trump looks like when
- 12:43Speaker 1: he's reading is that he's sitting on the toilet and
- 12:46Speaker 1: there's a camera on his face. Strained, he looks he
- 12:53Speaker 1: looks strained. That No, seriously, man, he looks like he's strained,
- 13:03Speaker 1: like he's just not comfortable with this camera on me.
- 13:07Speaker 1: While I'm saying this, Well, isn't he a TV guys
- 13:15Speaker 1: and all that? Yeah, But on the princess, he was
- 13:17Speaker 1: doing what he does. You're fired, your loser. Oh he
- 13:21Speaker 1: does that really well. Yeah. You know, you know when
- 13:25Speaker 1: he's speaking his mind is when you hear the real help.
- 13:30Speaker 1: This speech was so read, so written for him, because
- 13:35Speaker 1: when you hear him talk at his rallies and he's
- 13:38Speaker 1: going on, or when you talk or when you see
- 13:42Speaker 1: him getting on the plane and the reporters ask him questions.
- 13:45Speaker 1: He never says anything positive, anything, anything unifying, anything trying
- 13:53Speaker 1: to bring the country together, anything loving. He never says
- 13:55Speaker 1: any of that. That speech last night had so much
- 13:58Speaker 1: love in it. I didn't know who was talking. He
- 14:01Speaker 1: looked constipated. Thank you, Tommy. Somebody had to say, if
- 14:09Speaker 1: I could have started that instead of the toilet analogy
- 14:12Speaker 1: and really what I was trying to sing? Yeah, well, well,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we'll we'll get into it a
- 14:24Speaker 1: little more later. I guess his goal was to try
- 14:27Speaker 1: to unify, get some bipartisanship going. All right, coming up
- 14:35Speaker 1: at thirty two after the hour. As you mentioned, Steve,
- 14:37Speaker 1: last night was the State of the Union addressed by
- 14:39Speaker 1: our president. We'll talk about it right after this you're
- 14:43Speaker 1: listening to, all right. Last night, the President delivered his
- 14:48Speaker 1: State of the Union address. His theme was choosing greatness.
- 14:52Speaker 1: That was the president's theme as he addressed the nation
- 14:55Speaker 1: after the longest government shut down ever since the last
- 14:59Speaker 1: State of the Union. As Democrats have taken control of
- 15:01Speaker 1: the House. So did you see the Speaker of the
- 15:04Speaker 1: House Nancy Pelosi sitting right behind the President in a
- 15:07Speaker 1: rightful place. Now. The President talked about immigration and the
- 15:11Speaker 1: border wall, of course, and then he had a call
- 15:14Speaker 1: for bar partisanship. Some Democrats believe the President is setting
- 15:18Speaker 1: up for another government shutdown, though, which may be looming
- 15:21Speaker 1: when a temporary spending measure expires in just a few
- 15:26Speaker 1: days on February fifteenth. Here are some of the moments
- 15:29Speaker 1: from the President's speech. And my fellow Americans, we meet
- 15:32Speaker 1: tonight at a moment of unlimited potential as we begin
- 15:37Speaker 1: a new Congress. I stand here ready to work with
- 15:40Speaker 1: you to achieve historic breakthroughs for all Americans. Millions of
- 15:46Speaker 1: our fellow citizens are watching us now, gathered in this
- 15:49Speaker 1: great Chamber, hoping that we will govern not as two parties,
- 15:54Speaker 1: but as one nation. Meanwhile, Democrat Stacy Abrams made history
- 16:02Speaker 1: as a first black woman to give a response to
- 16:04Speaker 1: the State of the Union address. She countered the President's
- 16:07Speaker 1: message and blasted him for the government shut down. Talked
- 16:10Speaker 1: about a vision for our nation that embraces diversity, equality, justice,
- 16:15Speaker 1: and opportunity for all. Take a listen. We may come
- 16:18Speaker 1: from different sides of the political aisle, but our joint
- 16:20Speaker 1: commitment to the ideals of this nation cannot be negotiable.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Our most urgent work is to realize American streams of
- 16:28Speaker 1: today and tomorrow, to carve a path to independence and
- 16:32Speaker 1: prosperity that can last a lifetime. Children deserve an excellent
- 16:37Speaker 1: education from cradle to career. We owe them safe schools
- 16:40Speaker 1: and the highest standards, regardless of zip code. Yet this
- 16:44Speaker 1: White House responds timidly while first graders practice active shooter
- 16:49Speaker 1: drills and the price of higher education grows ever steeper.
- 16:52Speaker 1: And Steve Democrats think that Stacy Abrams is someone who
- 16:56Speaker 1: represents a lot of what the party is looking for
- 16:58Speaker 1: right now. And the Democrats are also keenly aware of
- 17:01Speaker 1: the power of mobilizing African American voters, and they certainly
- 17:05Speaker 1: think Stacy Abrams is one who can do that, since
- 17:08Speaker 1: she had such a great showing in Georgia. She lost,
- 17:11Speaker 1: But you know, I think, I think that African Americans
- 17:15Speaker 1: are gonna be engaged moving forward. They were very engaged
- 17:20Speaker 1: in the mid terms. For the first time. I saw
- 17:24Speaker 1: an involvement I hadn't seen in the past, even from myself.
- 17:29Speaker 1: In the mid terms, I was a lot more active
- 17:31Speaker 1: than I normally am myself. We were as a radio show,
- 17:36Speaker 1: and so I think that African Americans will be very
- 17:40Speaker 1: engaged in twenty twenty. I think it's gonna be let
- 17:45Speaker 1: me tell you something, twenty twenty will probably be the
- 17:48Speaker 1: highest voter turnout in the history. Because this is why
- 17:53Speaker 1: I say this. I think that everybody is so galvanized
- 17:58Speaker 1: right now. We are so polyticized in this country. Every
- 18:03Speaker 1: Republican right wing is gonna show up for Trump and
- 18:08Speaker 1: the three million more votes that he got beat by Hillary.
- 18:11Speaker 1: They come in black and back and they bring in
- 18:13Speaker 1: some mode. Yeah, I think we better get ready so
- 18:19Speaker 1: we won't have to get ready. I am concerned, and
- 18:27Speaker 1: I will tell you why because and I'm right about this.
- 18:32Speaker 1: A lot of times I could be wrong, but I've
- 18:35Speaker 1: been right about it. I've called a lot of stuff
- 18:37Speaker 1: that I watched. The Democrats are doing the exact same
- 18:42Speaker 1: thing that the Republicans did to Obama. We're doing the
- 18:46Speaker 1: same thing to Trump. Now. It happens to be deservedly so,
- 18:51Speaker 1: because Donald Trump is making a lot of policy and
- 18:54Speaker 1: statements that are very divisive to our country. So I
- 18:57Speaker 1: understand what Democrats are trying to do. But we're so
- 19:01Speaker 1: focused on stopping him, so focused on not giving any
- 19:06Speaker 1: ground to him, that we're not preparing the candidates. Our
- 19:11Speaker 1: field is so crowded already. Yeah. And when you looked
- 19:16Speaker 1: up there on that stage at the Republican debate and
- 19:18Speaker 1: it was some sixteen people standing up there and Donald
- 19:22Speaker 1: Trump won. The Democrats can't afford to have sixteen people
- 19:27Speaker 1: standing up there because we don't play politics like Republicans. Student. Yeah,
- 19:32Speaker 1: we need to be more unified. We definitely need to
- 19:36Speaker 1: have some organization and some unification, and our party prepare
- 19:40Speaker 1: you know, a couple of good candidates, someone that we
- 19:43Speaker 1: know that can beat this man, and prepare the leader
- 19:46Speaker 1: of the party. Yeah, right, and prepare them. And then
- 19:49Speaker 1: we need to do our part. We need to register,
- 19:52Speaker 1: we need to educate ourselves, we need to do all
- 19:55Speaker 1: the things that we need to do. So come November
- 19:57Speaker 1: of next year, we're going to the polls massive numbers.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Like you say, Steve, you know what, we need to
- 20:04Speaker 1: be honest. Now you go, if you know you don't
- 20:08Speaker 1: have a shot in Healey, if you know that, don't
- 20:17Speaker 1: buddy the water and create dissension in the party and
- 20:22Speaker 1: have everybody thinking we we because right now no two
- 20:27Speaker 1: people are similar. You know, he has a chance, but
- 20:33Speaker 1: he if he runs at an independent, it's gonna split
- 20:36Speaker 1: the Democratic vot and Trump gonna be back in exactly.
- 20:40Speaker 1: So he got to come on and play the game, right.
- 20:42Speaker 1: You know he's talking about the Democrats are moving too
- 20:44Speaker 1: far to the left. Man, Have you noticed how far
- 20:49Speaker 1: to the right the Republican Party is going. He used
- 20:53Speaker 1: the example last night about this abortion that this woman
- 20:58Speaker 1: was having super late, and to use that as a
- 21:01Speaker 1: rallying cry, We've got to protect all of God's children.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Here's the hypocrisy of that statement. Republicans and Conservatives, no
- 21:12Speaker 1: good and damn well they get abortions. They know, good
- 21:18Speaker 1: and damn well they get abortions, but they all jumped
- 21:22Speaker 1: to their feet. We gotta protect life. That's not y'all
- 21:26Speaker 1: so wrong about that, man, that's not true. They get
- 21:30Speaker 1: abortions at the same rate as everybody else. But here's
- 21:36Speaker 1: the hypocrisy. We love all God's children. If you did,
- 21:41Speaker 1: if you really did, you wouldn't separate them from their
- 21:44Speaker 1: parents at the border, if you really did. All right,
- 21:49Speaker 1: moving on, Steve, coming up next. It is enough for
- 21:52Speaker 1: you here to run that prank back right, after this
- 21:55Speaker 1: you're listening. Coming up at the top of the hour
- 22:00Speaker 1: in National News, an update on twenty one Savage and
- 22:04Speaker 1: of course Steve Peter upsetted Big Boy for rocking his
- 22:08Speaker 1: fur coat at halftime and the Super Bowl right now though, Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 1: we'll talk about it right now. We'll run that prank back.
- 22:16Speaker 1: What you got next, Aquil book at current and then
- 22:19Speaker 1: get what when I come back with the next brank?
- 22:22Speaker 1: Got a brand new one for you out the park? Okay,
- 22:25Speaker 1: Aqui here go? Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach a Quincy. Please.
- 22:33Speaker 1: This is Hey. How are you? My name is Maurice.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Maurice calling you from the power company. How are you
- 22:37Speaker 1: doing today? I'm all right? What's up? Well, listen, we're
- 22:40Speaker 1: doing some testing in your neighborhood. We're trying to make
- 22:42Speaker 1: sure we don't have to actually shut the power down
- 22:45Speaker 1: out there, and we're calling around quite a few people
- 22:49Speaker 1: in your neighborhood, running some tests on individual homes and
- 22:52Speaker 1: making sure the electricity is running correctly. Can I get
- 22:56Speaker 1: you to do a few things swarm and see the
- 22:59Speaker 1: quicker we get through with this, sir, and it's possibility
- 23:01Speaker 1: we won't have to turn your power off at all.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I know you don't want us to have to come
- 23:04Speaker 1: out and turn power off. And you got stuff in
- 23:07Speaker 1: your refrigerator that can spoil and things like that. So
- 23:09Speaker 1: we want to try to get this done and hopefully
- 23:12Speaker 1: the power with the with the test that we run,
- 23:13Speaker 1: it'll it'll run correctly and we won't have to do anything. Okay,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I don't know about an electricity though, you know what
- 23:18Speaker 1: I'm saying, So no, no, no, I understand that. Don't
- 23:20Speaker 1: worry about that. All right, here's what I need you
- 23:22Speaker 1: to do. Now, how big is your house? Well? Do
- 23:24Speaker 1: you how many bedrooms? You got? Rooms? Four bedrooms? Now
- 23:28Speaker 1: you have upstairs downstairs? It's too short, okay, all right,

- 23:41Speaker 1: So can I get you to take your breaker and
- 23:44Speaker 1: shut down everything upstairs and we're gonna run a test
- 23:48Speaker 1: on the stuff downstairs right now. It'll be real quick.
- 23:51Speaker 1: All right, everything's shut everything's down. Okay, you you turned
- 23:54Speaker 1: off theything I just turned off all the switches. Okay,
- 23:57Speaker 1: here's what I need you to do. I need you
- 23:58Speaker 1: to turn on your television and then turn it off
- 24:02Speaker 1: downstairs downstairs. How many TVs you got downstairs? I got
- 24:06Speaker 1: two TVs downstairs. Let's turn them both on. You just
- 24:09Speaker 1: turn them on. Just turn them on. You got them on?
- 24:12Speaker 1: I got one on. Let's try to turn that other
- 24:15Speaker 1: one on. All right, they both on. Okay. Now, you
- 24:17Speaker 1: got a microwave in your kitchen. Yeah, a microwave. Okay,
- 24:21Speaker 1: turn that on. It's already on. Man, I can see
- 24:23Speaker 1: the light zone. It's got the clock on it, that's
- 24:25Speaker 1: got that double hron thing that's going through there. It's
- 24:27Speaker 1: a whole different type of current. I just want to
- 24:29Speaker 1: down on them by what you're talking about. But I
- 24:31Speaker 1: gotta get to work, man. So the microwaves on, it's running. No, no, no,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I want you to actually turn it on. I want
- 24:36Speaker 1: you to actually push like a minute or two on
- 24:38Speaker 1: that thing. Do with anything, man, Come on, now, let
- 24:41Speaker 1: me what you gotta do. No, this is a test, sir.
- 24:43Speaker 1: What I don't want to have to do is come
- 24:44Speaker 1: out there and turn your power off. And I don't
- 24:46Speaker 1: want to do that. You got a lot of food
- 24:47Speaker 1: in your fridge. I'm sure right, all right, all right,
- 24:51Speaker 1: the look it's on microwaves zone TV zones. Okay, now
- 24:56Speaker 1: open your refreds man. The electricity works downstairs. Okay, but
- 25:00Speaker 1: listen now, I know, but what we gotta do is
- 25:02Speaker 1: we gotta make sure that this stuff isn't overpower. Now,
- 25:05Speaker 1: can you open your refrigerator? Yeah? Yeah, man, do you
- 25:09Speaker 1: see the button that actually has you can turn on?
- 25:14Speaker 1: You can push it in the lighter go out. You
- 25:15Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. Come on, man, you ain't
- 25:17Speaker 1: got nobody to just be able to check something outside. Man,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I mean I'm in the fridge. I understand. But push
- 25:23Speaker 1: that button five times for him and see what it does.
- 25:26Speaker 1: What the light button? Yeah, push that light button five times?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Come on, man, it did it go off and on?
- 25:32Speaker 1: Every day it's going on. Man. The actually they wrong
- 25:35Speaker 1: with the refrigerate reficuate plug in man. Okay, now here's
- 25:38Speaker 1: what I want you to do. Right there, And if
- 25:40Speaker 1: you're in the kitchen, turn your slink on for me.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Turn sink on. They got through electricity. Many say that's
- 25:46Speaker 1: a nitral current. That's a nitral current. You wouldn't understand that,
- 25:48Speaker 1: but I need you to turn that on for me too.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Just turn it on full blast. Got it on, I
- 25:55Speaker 1: got it on. Okay, now go in your master bedroom.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I can turn it off. Let that water run. Go
- 26:01Speaker 1: on your master bedroom and go on the bath for me.
- 26:04Speaker 1: I appreciate you helping me out on this. Man. Come on,
- 26:06Speaker 1: man Quincy, I apprecient, a Mary, I mean everything. It's
- 26:10Speaker 1: everything I'm in. I'm in the baths. Plush that toilet
- 26:13Speaker 1: for me, Quincy, see where plush that toilet for me?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Plush the toilet. Yeah, plush that toilet. It isn't even
- 26:19Speaker 1: electrical what it is. It's a it's a it's an
- 26:21Speaker 1: awkward book and heard you need to get somebody. Um okay,
- 26:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna plush the toilet. It ain't no electrical plugs
- 26:26Speaker 1: in that in this area, man, right. I understand that
- 26:29Speaker 1: you don't see what it is. This is an awkward

- 26:41Speaker 1: toilet Worse, man, you ain't got nobody in the area

- 27:04Speaker 1: and they all work the toid it works, Everything worked,
- 27:07Speaker 1: all right. What I want you to do is get
- 27:09Speaker 1: this blender and well just throw you a few cues
- 27:11Speaker 1: the eyes and something there and turn that thing on
- 27:13Speaker 1: for him. Come on, man, we're almost done. I got
- 27:15Speaker 1: to get to work. Man, this work women who was comprecated? Man,
- 27:20Speaker 1: this is just a blunder. Come on, man, it's some bull.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I said, I have to mention your curago to be
- 27:27Speaker 1: walking this house. Man. You need to check the niche house.
- 27:29Speaker 1: You don't have no problems with no smoothies or nothing

- 27:34Speaker 1: I got to do anything. Man, I gotta get to work. Understand,

- 27:46Speaker 1: just call and had people go through the damn house
- 27:48Speaker 1: playing scavenger hunt. I gotta get to work. Okay, now listen, Quincy,
- 27:51Speaker 1: one last thing. Are you able to shut that breaker?
- 27:54Speaker 1: Put that breaker back on and then shut off downstairs,
- 27:57Speaker 1: and then go upstairs and check some stuff for me?
- 27:58Speaker 1: Shut up? What shut off the breaker downstairs? Go ahead
- 28:02Speaker 1: and turn it. I'm not shutting off no breaker downstairs.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I shut off the water upstairs. We didn't turn on
- 28:06Speaker 1: every damn thing down here. You didn't have me. I
- 28:09Speaker 1: got the blender, I didn't turn on the microwave to
- 28:11Speaker 1: from Fritz lay cool man fresh and told us I
- 28:14Speaker 1: gotta get to work. Quis it. I needs you to
- 28:16Speaker 1: lose this attitude you got. I need you to get
- 28:18Speaker 1: somebody down here to do my electricity in my house work.
- 28:21Speaker 1: It worked for you calling me on thing ain't work.
- 28:23Speaker 1: It's my ain't at work because I'm here doing this
- 28:26Speaker 1: book playing off and all. Get somebody in here, worth,
- 28:29Speaker 1: I don't piss me off and make me turn it
- 28:31Speaker 1: all the way off. Well my work and when I
- 28:35Speaker 1: get back from work, way this should be on. I
- 28:38Speaker 1: got one more thing I need to say to you, Quinny.
- 28:40Speaker 1: It's better be the last thing that his nephew Timmy
- 28:43Speaker 1: from the Steve Hobby Morning Show. You just got preaked
- 28:46Speaker 1: by your sister gown Gil Better being a witness protection program. Man,
- 29:03Speaker 1: let me turn it, man, Hey man, let me ask youself. Man,
- 29:09Speaker 1: what is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 29:12Speaker 1: show in the land as guy, Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 29:18Speaker 1: and Tommy Uh you call me again. They're gonna be
- 29:22Speaker 1: the show used to have Tommy on. It's way down
- 29:26Speaker 1: in there. Sharley's an awkward book at current. Get ready,
- 29:29Speaker 1: the nephew is coming to town fourteen fifteen sixteen. I
- 29:32Speaker 1: am in Kaleen, Texas twice. It's Funny Comedy Club. Tickets
- 29:35Speaker 1: on sale right now. Valentine's Night, Baby, I don't know.
- 29:38Speaker 1: All right, Thank you, nephew. Coming up at the top
- 29:40Speaker 1: of the hour. Entertainment News, Peter is mad at Big Boy.
- 29:44Speaker 1: We'll have an update on twenty one Savage right after this.
- 29:47Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys. In
- 29:53Speaker 1: today's entertainment news, twenty one Savage, the Atlanta based rapper,
- 29:57Speaker 1: was arrested in a targeted operation US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
- 30:02Speaker 1: You know, we know it as ICE. That happened early
- 30:05Speaker 1: Sunday in Atlanta. He is currently on a deportation proceedings
- 30:10Speaker 1: in Federal Immigration Court. According to ICE, twenty one, Savage
- 30:14Speaker 1: is a British citizen who overstayed his visa after he
- 30:18Speaker 1: entered the US legally in July of two thousand and six. However,
- 30:23Speaker 1: his attorney said in a statement, as a minor, his
- 30:25Speaker 1: family overstayed their work visas, and he, like almost two
- 30:29Speaker 1: million other children, was left without legal status through no
- 30:33Speaker 1: fall of his own. Twenty one Savages on lockdown right
- 30:35Speaker 1: now with no TV and barely any communication. Wow, man,
- 30:42Speaker 1: I mean, man, the kid wasn't doing nothing wrong, was he? No? Now,
- 30:47Speaker 1: they said it he's been in trouble before, but that
- 30:52Speaker 1: all that has been expunged right before. But they say
- 30:57Speaker 1: twenty six and they and they said ICE doesn't recognize
- 31:01Speaker 1: his expungement. They still look at it as breaking the
- 31:04Speaker 1: law as a crime. Well, you know, um, you can
- 31:09Speaker 1: get your record expunge. But that I think I'm not well, yeah,
- 31:17Speaker 1: but it really don't. Okay, I'm sorry, I know a
- 31:27Speaker 1: little bit about this. No it doesn't. But you're talking immigration.
- 31:36Speaker 1: They said that they don't recognize expungement. They still hold
- 31:40Speaker 1: it into account. They don't recognize it at the Canadian
- 31:43Speaker 1: board either. So you heard you read a lot and
- 31:52Speaker 1: clear all right and other energy. I was at customs
- 31:55Speaker 1: in in Uh Canada for almost six hours. Wow, that's
- 32:01Speaker 1: a long term. Almost six hours. Dough damn out of
- 32:04Speaker 1: kid man. They cut my coach open all the line
- 32:08Speaker 1: and we had finished the Kings of Comedy in Buffalo
- 32:12Speaker 1: at the Arco Arena. We had a lot of cash.
- 32:15Speaker 1: We was in a limo to go over to over
- 32:18Speaker 1: the Canada to Camble. That's what we was going. They
- 32:22Speaker 1: saw them coach we had on and big hats. They
- 32:25Speaker 1: had us all get out and boy they got started.
- 32:29Speaker 1: All that expunge stuff was on a table. Wow. So
- 32:35Speaker 1: I understand that, But I don't think this kid has
- 32:37Speaker 1: done anything. You know, we got a lot of stuff
- 32:40Speaker 1: to deal with. A song out too where he was
- 32:43Speaker 1: kind of condemning, you know, according to TMZ the behavior
- 32:47Speaker 1: of immigration officials for their detention of children at the border.
- 32:51Speaker 1: So now folks are wondering, is that does that play
- 32:55Speaker 1: a part of it? You know, it's just so much
- 32:58Speaker 1: just it seems like he's being targeted. Yeah, and isn't
- 33:00Speaker 1: he under DACA as well. Yeah, he's only twenty six. Yeah,
- 33:05Speaker 1: so he came over here right when he was a kid,
- 33:08Speaker 1: thirteen or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well we also have
- 33:12Speaker 1: other entertainment news. This is a According to TMZ, Peter,
- 33:17Speaker 1: the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is mad
- 33:20Speaker 1: at Big Boy for rocking his fur during the Super
- 33:22Speaker 1: Bowl when he performed at halftime. Peter fired off a
- 33:26Speaker 1: stern letter to Big Boy, addressing him by his real name, Antoine.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Dear Antoine, our heart sank when you took the stage
- 33:33Speaker 1: during the Super Bowl wearing your fur coat. The animal
- 33:35Speaker 1: rights group. Peter tries to convience a Big Boy to
- 33:40Speaker 1: retire all of his furs and switch switched to foe. Okay,
- 33:43Speaker 1: that's what they're saying, switch to fain on it. Yeah yeah, no,
- 33:49Speaker 1: not the super Bowl. Yeah, and Peter says they're going
- 33:52Speaker 1: to send him a gorgeous faux first so he can
- 33:55Speaker 1: flaunt that. All right, Steve, let's get to the news, please, gentlemen,
- 33:59Speaker 1: miss trip, thanks guys, and good horning everybody. This is
- 34:03Speaker 1: a trip with the news. Okay. President Trump addressed both
- 34:06Speaker 1: chambers of the Congress last night in delivering his State
- 34:09Speaker 1: of the Union speech after an unprecedented thirty five day
- 34:12Speaker 1: partial government shutdown. In it, he referred to the February
- 34:15Speaker 1: fifteenth deadline in the effort hopefully to craft a deal.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Congress has ten days left to pass a bill that
- 34:21Speaker 1: will fund our government, protect our homeland, and secure our
- 34:25Speaker 1: very dangerous southern border. As we speak, large organized caravans
- 34:33Speaker 1: are on the march to the United States. This is
- 34:37Speaker 1: a moral issue. The lawless state of our southern border
- 34:42Speaker 1: is a threat to the safety, security, and financial well
- 34:46Speaker 1: being of all America. Democrats, by the way, say there's
- 34:49Speaker 1: no caravan. Bunch of caravans coming here. Democratic parties who
- 34:52Speaker 1: buttle Stacy Abrams says the issue is being misunderstood. Compassionate
- 34:55Speaker 1: treatment at the border is not the same as open borders.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Reagan understood this. President Obama understood this. Americans understand this.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Democrats stand ready to effectively secure our ports and borders.
- 35:11Speaker 1: But we must all embrace that from agriculture to healthcare
- 35:15Speaker 1: to entrepreneurship, America is made stronger by the presence of immigrants,
- 35:20Speaker 1: not Walls and Abrahams, who verily nearly you may remember
- 35:23Speaker 1: one the Georgia governorship. I mean just by a few points.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Says that this country's hypocrisy over voter suppression is a
- 35:29Speaker 1: huge problem, along with the racism that contributes to it.
- 35:32Speaker 1: The foundation of our moral leadership around the globe is
- 35:36Speaker 1: free and fair elections where voters pick their leaders, not
- 35:41Speaker 1: where politicians pick their voters. We fought Jim Crowe with
- 35:45Speaker 1: the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, Yet
- 35:47Speaker 1: who we continue to confront racism from our past and
- 35:50Speaker 1: in our present, Which is why we must hold everyone
- 35:53Speaker 1: from the highest offices to our own families accountable for
- 35:57Speaker 1: racist words and deeds called racism what it is wrong.
- 36:02Speaker 1: By the way, Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer was prepared
- 36:05Speaker 1: to be unimpressed, he said with Trump's speech even before
- 36:08Speaker 1: he gave the thing. It seems every year the president
- 36:10Speaker 1: wakes up and discovers the desire for unity on the
- 36:14Speaker 1: morning of the State of the Union. Then the president
- 36:16Speaker 1: spends the other three hundred and sixty four days of
- 36:19Speaker 1: the year dividing us. I guess we'll see. In Wisconsin,
- 36:23Speaker 1: number labor unions have joined forces who file a lawsuit
- 36:25Speaker 1: against legislation passed by the lame duck Republican governor there,
- 36:28Speaker 1: and the GOP dominated state legislature, hamstringing the new Democratic governor.
- 36:33Speaker 1: And finally, the late CBS sulfstar Christoph Saint John, will
- 36:37Speaker 1: be seen for the last time today, everybody on the
- 36:39Speaker 1: Young and the Restless. This is the last time, and
- 36:41Speaker 1: the show will present a special tribute to his character
- 36:43Speaker 1: Neil Winters on Friday. Christophe Saint John found dead of
- 36:46Speaker 1: an apparent suicide on Sunday. Now back to the Steve
- 36:49Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show, All right, did you
- 36:54Speaker 1: guys see last night's State of a Union address from
- 36:57Speaker 1: the President? He had a lot of special guests in
- 36:59Speaker 1: the building. He had, Yes, it was. His guests included
- 37:06Speaker 1: the survivor of the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue synagogue
- 37:10Speaker 1: massacre and also Alice Marie Johnson, the first time drug
- 37:14Speaker 1: traffic offender, who um you know the President granted clemency
- 37:19Speaker 1: to after he met with Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian played
- 37:23Speaker 1: a big role in uh, Miss Alice Marie Johnson's release. Yeah, yeah,
- 37:28Speaker 1: and he acknowledged her in front of the house and
- 37:30Speaker 1: everything she stood up and took about. She was sitting
- 37:33Speaker 1: right next to Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka. Well,
- 37:37Speaker 1: according to the Whitings, if she had a stand in jail,
- 37:41Speaker 1: she would have met either way. It was about they
- 37:48Speaker 1: were gonna be sitting because it's coming. It's coming. I
- 37:54Speaker 1: love it when you're brilliant. See, I'm so glad this
- 37:57Speaker 1: sister got out. Yeah she could. Maybe she can return
- 38:00Speaker 1: to favor somebody. You got me out, I'll get you
- 38:04Speaker 1: out about that. Yeah, this investigation, man, now they're into
- 38:09Speaker 1: the campaign stuff. You saw that, Steve, Oh yeah, yeah,
- 38:13Speaker 1: Now they're looking at the campaign committee. It's going down.
- 38:20Speaker 1: No colusion, Okay, what about all these stolen ass campaign somebody,
- 38:26Speaker 1: somebody did something. All these people ain't going to jail
- 38:28Speaker 1: for nothing, right because they're coming. You know. I just
- 38:34Speaker 1: what did you think about the state of the Union.
- 38:35Speaker 1: We talked about it. I didn't, you know. I'm just
- 38:41Speaker 1: it's just too obvious when he's reading and when he's
- 38:47Speaker 1: saying what he really thinks. Yeah, it's just too obvious
- 38:50Speaker 1: of a difference. You know. I'll give Bush credit. When
- 38:53Speaker 1: Bush read the tele promptly, it was very much like
- 38:56Speaker 1: he spoke. When Obama spoke and read the teleprompter, it
- 39:01Speaker 1: was very because he was including the speech they have
- 39:06Speaker 1: to write his speech because he can't right, because they're
- 39:10Speaker 1: gonna write things about unity, love of our country, where
- 39:14Speaker 1: all God's children, we're gonna do this. This dude don't
- 39:19Speaker 1: have no causes. And so when he's reading Man, it
- 39:26Speaker 1: sounds nothing like he sounds when he's talking getting on
- 39:30Speaker 1: the plane, getting on the helicopter, when he's outside the
- 39:33Speaker 1: White House, when he's talking to reporters, when he's on Fox,
- 39:38Speaker 1: he sounds like two different people. And that's why I
- 39:41Speaker 1: couldn't sit there and take the heart anything he was saying,
- 39:45Speaker 1: because the writers intentionally try to make it sound like
- 39:48Speaker 1: he was about unity and bipartisan and reach across to
- 39:51Speaker 1: Alan Grin, when in essence, he's not gonna do that.
- 39:57Speaker 1: That ain't to do that. Coming up at thirty four
- 40:01Speaker 1: after the Hour, actor Liam Neeson is in a bit
- 40:04Speaker 1: of hot water as he admits he once wanted to
- 40:07Speaker 1: kill a black person for revenge. We'll talk about that
- 40:10Speaker 1: when we come back right after this very special set
- 40:12Speaker 1: of skews. You're listening to all right, Actor Liam Neeson? Uh,
- 40:20Speaker 1: you know this guy. We love this guy. Start of
- 40:23Speaker 1: taking one of our favorite movies. Yeah, Liam Neeson is
- 40:29Speaker 1: speaking out about some controversial comments he made in which
- 40:33Speaker 1: he admitted to wanting to kill a black person, any
- 40:36Speaker 1: black person at this time, to avenge the rape of
- 40:39Speaker 1: one of his very very close friends. During an interview,
- 40:43Speaker 1: Neeson attempted to explain how we learned the primal needs
- 40:46Speaker 1: of violence and revenge, just how he learned that, and
- 40:50Speaker 1: that they just lead to more revenge and more killing.
- 40:53Speaker 1: He said it started when an unnamed loved one told
- 40:57Speaker 1: him she was raped. This happened to him in real life.
- 41:01Speaker 1: And then he said when she admitted that she didn't
- 41:03Speaker 1: know who it was, he asked her, Liam asked her
- 41:06Speaker 1: what color this person was, and she said black. Take
- 41:10Speaker 1: a listen, she said it was a black person. I
- 41:13Speaker 1: haven't up and done in the areas with a cash,
- 41:16Speaker 1: hoping i'd be approached by someone. I'm ashamed to say that.
- 41:22Speaker 1: And I did it for maybe a week, hoping something
- 41:26Speaker 1: black bastard would come out of a pub and I
- 41:29Speaker 1: have a good at me about something, you know, so
- 41:31Speaker 1: I could kill him. Wow. Wow. He shut down the
- 41:36Speaker 1: room with that comment. He really did mean, well, look
- 41:39Speaker 1: when you hear it like that, that's not a movie script.
- 41:45Speaker 1: You said it. I was hoping some black bastard would
- 41:48Speaker 1: come at me for a reason so I could kill him.
- 41:51Speaker 1: I felt that way for a week. Okay, well dog,
- 41:54Speaker 1: you know as a black man. Yeah, no, I just
- 41:58Speaker 1: get the feeling you talking about me. Now, I probably
- 42:01Speaker 1: wouldn't get into no scrap with you, but it wouldn't
- 42:04Speaker 1: take much if that's your attitude. Just wanted you know
- 42:08Speaker 1: what I mean. Well, at that time, that's what he
- 42:10Speaker 1: said he was feeling. He didn't care who it was.
- 42:12Speaker 1: He just wanted to get somebody back for you can't.
- 42:17Speaker 1: That's so ignorant. Yeah, I'm just saying, that's so ignorant.
- 42:21Speaker 1: If you do something to one of my friends. Now,
- 42:24Speaker 1: if I see you and you black or white, if
- 42:27Speaker 1: I see your white tail or your black tail, I'm
- 42:30Speaker 1: gonna do something to you. But any white person, see,
- 42:34Speaker 1: I've never done that. Yeah, and let me tell you something, man,
- 42:38Speaker 1: I've been exposed to racism at some levels man that
- 42:42Speaker 1: we can't even talk about. But I never turned around
- 42:46Speaker 1: and said I'm gonna do something to any white person. No,
- 42:50Speaker 1: I want the person that did that to me, But
- 42:53Speaker 1: I would never ever just go out That's not even
- 42:56Speaker 1: my thought process that I'm going to attack a person
- 43:00Speaker 1: to simply because they white because something some other white
- 43:03Speaker 1: person did. That's not any man, right. Can they fight
- 43:07Speaker 1: like that? I mean he can fight like he fight
- 43:09Speaker 1: on TV. He can do that. He that good. But
- 43:12Speaker 1: he didn't though he had you know, he didn't act
- 43:15Speaker 1: on it and the thoughts. That's his point that he
- 43:18Speaker 1: didn't do it right. He didn't do it. Okay, let
- 43:20Speaker 1: me ask you a question. And it happened over forty
- 43:22Speaker 1: years ago. Okay, let me ask you a questions. But
- 43:24Speaker 1: see people losing their jobs over forty years ago. Yeah,
- 43:27Speaker 1: I don't think right you rightly. I don't think he
- 43:30Speaker 1: should lose his job, career be gone. I don't. I
- 43:34Speaker 1: don't think that. But let me ask you all a question.
- 43:37Speaker 1: When it hurt when you heard him say that, how
- 43:40Speaker 1: did you feel? Oh? That is racist person. I felt
- 43:45Speaker 1: sick just now. And this is a dude. I've been
- 43:47Speaker 1: liking it all his like, yeah, I liked the dog
- 43:53Speaker 1: on taking one, two, three two me. He has that
- 44:00Speaker 1: special set of skills. He's very special set of skills.
- 44:05Speaker 1: But he's he's insisting that he's not a racist. He's
- 44:08Speaker 1: not backing down from the story. He's insisting that he's
- 44:11Speaker 1: not he's saying that that's how he felt. H he
- 44:15Speaker 1: could have kept it to himself. That is what's the
- 44:18Speaker 1: ignorance of some people. And that's what he see. Here's
- 44:21Speaker 1: a deal some There are a lot of people who
- 44:25Speaker 1: make racist statements but then don't want to be labeled
- 44:29Speaker 1: a racist. As you know. Yeah, he said that it's
- 44:34Speaker 1: rage never turned into violence, and he would have acted
- 44:37Speaker 1: the same way if the rapist was white. Critics say
- 44:40Speaker 1: he is a racist for not only in would you
- 44:42Speaker 1: have wanted to kill any white person? He said a
- 44:45Speaker 1: Good Morning America. He would have if the person he
- 44:48Speaker 1: said that white person. Yep, that's what he said. That's
- 44:52Speaker 1: what he said. Yeah, all right, keep those comments coming.
- 44:55Speaker 1: It's Steve Harvey. F m up. Next, it is a
- 44:57Speaker 1: nephew with the prank phone call. That's coming up right
- 45:00Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,

- 54:08Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey FM and click submit Strawberry Letter. Okay,
- 54:13Speaker 1: we could be reading your letter just like we're reading
- 54:15Speaker 1: this one. And this is a response to a letter
- 54:19Speaker 1: we read a few weeks ago. And just like I
- 54:22Speaker 1: did that letter, I gotta do this one. I got
- 54:24Speaker 1: to do a disclaimer. Okay, please get the kids out
- 54:27Speaker 1: of the way. You don't want the kids hearing this,
- 54:30Speaker 1: I ain't going nowhere. Y'all ready, Marchel Lapman, Hold on tight,
- 54:34Speaker 1: we got it for you. Here. It is the Strawberry letter,
- 54:36Speaker 1: subject my husband and I want our girlfriend back here
- 54:40Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I am a thirty seven year old married woman,
- 54:44Speaker 1: and I've found out that my husband was sleeping with
- 54:47Speaker 1: my girlfriend when Shirley read my girlfriend Strawberry letter on
- 54:52Speaker 1: the radio. Oops. I've been married to a man for
- 54:56Speaker 1: seven years and I had a girlfriend on the side
- 54:59Speaker 1: for most of our marriage. My husband and I had
- 55:02Speaker 1: some financial issues, so my female friend, who was actually
- 55:06Speaker 1: my lover, moved in with us to help out with
- 55:09Speaker 1: the bills. My husband had no idea we were lovers,
- 55:14Speaker 1: and I hope you can remember that letter. Oh yes,
- 55:17Speaker 1: we remember the letter quite well. Anyway, the arrangement was
- 55:21Speaker 1: perfect for me because my girl and I would have
- 55:24Speaker 1: fun together while my husband was gone and my husband
- 55:27Speaker 1: had no idea what was going on. Then, my girl
- 55:31Speaker 1: and my husband ended up having sex all the time,
- 55:35Speaker 1: and they did a great job at hiding it from me.
- 55:38Speaker 1: We were all busted when you read my girl's Strawberry letter.
- 55:43Speaker 1: At the time, I had no idea that my girl
- 55:45Speaker 1: was even interested in having sex with men, and certainly
- 55:49Speaker 1: not my husband. Not my husband. And the biggest shocker
- 55:53Speaker 1: was as she was pregnant. I was furious because they
- 55:56Speaker 1: had played me. I forced my girl to move out
- 55:59Speaker 1: of our house and I didn't talk to my husband
- 56:02Speaker 1: for nearly a month. Now I realized that breaking up
- 56:05Speaker 1: with my girl was a big mistake. I miss our
- 56:08Speaker 1: friendship and intimacy. I talked to my husband about letting
- 56:12Speaker 1: my girl move back in, and he is all for
- 56:15Speaker 1: it if she and I can work out our differences.
- 56:18Speaker 1: But my girl is still angry with me, and she
- 56:21Speaker 1: said that she doesn't want to move back in to
- 56:23Speaker 1: a messy situation. I just want to put our family
- 56:27Speaker 1: back together, especially since she's pregnant. Am I asking for
- 56:31Speaker 1: too much? How can I fix this? Please? Help? Can
- 56:35Speaker 1: you believe this letter? Right? Jesus kid? Well, first, I
- 56:42Speaker 1: want to thank you for listening to the Steve Harvey
- 56:45Speaker 1: Morning Show. We love all our listeners. We appreciate them. Okay,
- 56:52Speaker 1: and aren't you and you know a bit of a
- 56:55Speaker 1: pickle with all this mess going on? This is what happens.
- 56:58Speaker 1: You know, when you set out to someone, you usually
- 57:01Speaker 1: are the one that gets played. And in this case,
- 57:04Speaker 1: it was your husband who ended up turning the tables
- 57:07Speaker 1: on you. But did he have to get the girl
- 57:12Speaker 1: pregnant too? That is my question? Did he have to
- 57:14Speaker 1: do that? Couldn't they use protection? I mean, how disrespectful
- 57:18Speaker 1: all of this. First of all, you're bringing her in,
- 57:21Speaker 1: you doing her behind your husband's back, then her and
- 57:24Speaker 1: your husband doing each other behind your back, and then
- 57:27Speaker 1: getting pregnant on top of that. A mess, A mess,
- 57:29Speaker 1: a mess. But in any event, it looks like the
- 57:32Speaker 1: perfect situation for all involved, especially your hobby who's so Slicktly.
- 57:38Speaker 1: I know Steve is gonna get into this more. But
- 57:40Speaker 1: who's so Slicktly said he's all for your girlfriend slash
- 57:44Speaker 1: his baby mama to move in, right. I knew you
- 57:47Speaker 1: were yeah to move in if you guys can work
- 57:50Speaker 1: out your differences. Okay, So get on that. Talk to her.
- 57:55Speaker 1: She's your girlfriend too. I'm sure you can talk her
- 57:58Speaker 1: into it, and you can't have one big happy family.
- 58:01Speaker 1: What I feel the most for it, who I feel
- 58:04Speaker 1: the most for in this situation will be the baby.
- 58:07Speaker 1: All right, this innocent baby you guys are bringing into
- 58:09Speaker 1: this mess. You gotta think about that. The baby doesn't
- 58:12Speaker 1: need to be seeing this. You're so you You're so
- 58:15Speaker 1: right about this. Uh you you You not only have
- 58:18Speaker 1: to fix your relationship with your husband and this girl,
- 58:21Speaker 1: you got to think about the future, this baby and
- 58:23Speaker 1: all of that. This is a mess. This is really, really,
- 58:25Speaker 1: really a mess, and you started it. Steve. Let's just
- 58:30Speaker 1: get to this right away. This the dumbest mess. Just
- 58:37Speaker 1: don't make no damn sense. First of all, you had
- 58:41Speaker 1: a lover the whole time you was married. Why your
- 58:44Speaker 1: husband at work? You and Hudgens in here just doing
- 58:47Speaker 1: each other? Now? Then why are you gonna tricky? Will
- 58:52Speaker 1: recover refer to her as tricky? Tricky start doing your
- 58:57Speaker 1: hus So now Tricky in that douding you when he
- 59:02Speaker 1: gone and him when she gon. She got to be time,
- 59:08Speaker 1: she got to be Time's exacted. Right as soon as
- 59:12Speaker 1: the cross start up in the dry she got to go,
- 59:16Speaker 1: oh love, why where is day going? Now? I'm in
- 59:22Speaker 1: here trying to get some rest. As soon as that
- 59:25Speaker 1: car pull out the dryway, Trick ain't trick, not tricky though,
- 59:33Speaker 1: But I love Tricky. Here the next time, Tricky kid,
- 59:40Speaker 1: the next time Tricky. Okay, okay, I'm gonna show you
- 59:48Speaker 1: how Tricker is day? Go Tricky he going to work?
- 59:54Speaker 1: All right, let me give myself together. Trick had just
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: came home for lunch. I love the change in voices.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Tricky he going back to work after Trick a home
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: for letter purposes. Six o'clock. Tricky he went to play
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: poker with his friend. Trick ad back from playing poker.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I change. That's Tricky's day. Wow, Tricky. Tricky is exhausted,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: and I know why she pregnant. They didn't have time
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: for Yeah, she doesn't have time for much. You're right,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: So after this, I'm gonna share with you the rest
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: of the better how I feel about it. All right,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: we're gonna recap this whole thing, Steve. This is crazy,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: crazy crazy. That's two thirty in the morning. He wants
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: to take his MoMA to the hospital. What what, what
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: do you want? Don't play with me? All right, Look,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: we're gonna have part two of Steve's response coming up
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: to Tricky the letter called Tricky at twenty three after
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: subject my husband and I want our girlfriend Tricky back.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to all right, Steve, let's
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: recap today's letter. My husband and I want our girlfriend back. Yea,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: she want a girlfriend back, called she had a girlfrid
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: moved to him because they were having find just a
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: difficult with her and her husband. Not her husband don't
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: know that her girlfriend is actually her lover. So every
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: time he leave the house, they're going at it. Now
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: her husband didn't start looking around and Tricky, who is
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: the girl, start liking the man, and so now every
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: time she goes she getting it on with to dude.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: The woman finds out because we read the strawberry letter.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: She said she had no idea her girl was even
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: interested in having sex with men, and certainly not my husband.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: The biggest shocker was she pregnant because she confused she
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: having sex so many times with y'all too, She don't know.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Just do I need protection? If this one wasn't all official?
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Is this the real thing was happening? Nigger? Yeah? So
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I was furious because they had played to me. Wait
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: a minute, wasn't you playing him? How about you? Mad at?
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: I forced my girl to move out of our house
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: and I didn't talk to my husband for nearly a month.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Now I realized that breaking up with Tricky was a
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: big mistake. I miss our friendship and intimates. So I
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: talked to my husband about letting my girl move back in.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, got some of this print.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I talked to my husband about letting our girl moved
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: back in, and he was all, far you damn right
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: he was, He said, if she and I can work
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: out our differences. But my girl is angry with me,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: and she says she don't want to move back into
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: a messy situation. What what? When did you think this
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: was messing? Let let me tell you when he got messing.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: When she asked you to move in and you was
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: her girlfriend, slash lover, that was messy. But now you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: don't she don't want to move back into this messy situation.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I just want to put our family back together. What
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: what when you say dysfunctional family, you had a whole
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: new lever like Lear, he said, Like Shirley say she
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: feels sorry for the baby because the baby's mama is
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: pregnant by her brother in law so to speak, which
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: is would make him his the baby uncle and the
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: baby daddy. The the woman that's had tricky having the
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: baby is that mama? But then you is supposed to
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: be her friend like her sister. So you the baby's aunt,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: but you really hust the baby's step mother because you're
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: married to the daddy out the baby. So when this
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: baby go to school, his first day is gonna be
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: so confusing. What is your mother's name? I'm not sure.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Excuse me, I'm not sure who is your father? Or
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: I know who my father is. So he's your father?
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Well he's my father and my uncle. Why is he
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: your uncle because my mama's sister is married to him. Well,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: then that's your uncle. How is he your father? Well
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: he became my father because his wife went to work
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: too much. Yeah, and that's how it happened. And he
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: just gonna start sliding on the sliding boy, baby, I
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: didn't work through it no more. It's confusing him. This
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: is the worst letter. I don't see how the dude
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: wants h it's a whole family. This is dysfunctional. Man,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: I thought we were dysfunction and you didn't speak to
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: him for a month. Oh girl, you finn throw yourself
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: into something and she come back in the house because
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: you're gonna try to eyeball the situation. Now if you
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: ain't worked out that, we y'all all seeing each other.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Then don't worry about it. But I think she don't
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: walk back, not cause it's messing. I don't think she
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: walked back because she just tied. Now, Uncle tis So
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: when when when they hadn't talked in a month on
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: her husband had he seen her the other? Oh yeah
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: he'd been something. Oh yeah he been. He's been seeing
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: her the whole time and one more times? Do you
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: who the tricky is the girl? Tricky is the girl
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: that's sleeping with the husband and the wife who is
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: pregnant by the husband but to him and her and
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: the girl is best friend. So they like sisters. So
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: the baby is gonna be aunt, gonna have her aunt
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: that's married to her father to the baby father. But
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: it's really gonna be the baby mother in law. Yeah,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the lady that invited the lady in that's really her
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: lover and girlfriend. So the girlfriends like sisters. So she
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: gonna have to tell the baby this your aunt. Wow,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: you know when the baby get here. But really, what
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: the baby don't know is sister. The husband is the
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: daddy that his her the baby, and aunt is really
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: her mother love, So she gonna have two mothers in
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: the house and her Daddy Anna uncle Anna letter. Are
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: you excited? Yeah, because I want them to get back
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: together so they can write us the next letter. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: at least they listen. I love the fact that they
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: listen to us. It's true, right, y'all crazy, man, I
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: don't know what y'all doing. Man, let's talk to him. Oh,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: y'all going to hell? Wow? Wow? Well, I hope they
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: worked this out. I hope they call us, call us,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: don't and you can't talk to him. He's way too excited.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: I'm going over there, boy, you ain't going nowhere. All right, Listen,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: you can email us, you can instagram us your thoughts

- 1:08:58Speaker 1: to talk about it, also Stacy April response for the Democrats.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: All right, listen to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. And
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show pays off big.

- 1:09:15Speaker 1: and Soul giveaway at the end of the year, and

- 1:09:51Speaker 1: right now that we're gonna have fun, like more fun
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: this year than last year. Right, start up start, Yes,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: all right, Steve, no switching gears. Today's big headline. Of course,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: his last night State of the Union at speech by
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: our President, his theme was choosing greatness. The President talked
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: about immigration. He talked to huh would you say really? Yes?
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: The President also talked about immigration. He talked about the
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: border wall. Of course, he called for this is great
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: news though, a call for bipartisanship, and then he wanted
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: to try and pull it together and make it appear
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: that he was trying to reach across the room. You know,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: to the Democrats. Yeah, I wasn't buying any of you
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: don't like what he was reading. He was mad about it.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: He don't like none of that speech they put in there. Well,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I mean some of the Democrats do believe that the
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: President is setting up for another government shut down. Um
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: that could happen on February fifteenth. Uh, temporary spinning mend
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: your expires, you know, on February fifteenth. So here's some
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: moments from the President's speech. Take a listen, and my
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: fellow Americans, we meet tonight at a moment of unlimited
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: potential as we begin a new Congress. I stand here
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: ready to work with you to achieve historic breakthroughs for
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: all Americans. Millions of our fellow citizens are watching us now,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: gathered in this great Chamber, hoping that we will govern
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: not as two parties, but as one nation. All right,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: And you remember our girl from Georgia. She was running
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: for the governor of Georgia, Democrat Stacy Abrams. She made
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: history as the first black woman to give the response
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: to the State of the Union. So congratulations to her.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: She countered the President's message and blasted him for the
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: government shutdown. She also talked about a vision for our
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: nation that embraces diversity, equality, justice, and opportunity for all.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: We may come from different sides of the political aisle,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: but our joint commitment to the ideals of this nation
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: cannot be negotiable. Our most urgent work is to realize Americans'
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: dreams of today and tomorrow, to carve a path to
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: independence and prosperity that can last a lifetime. Children deserve
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: an excellent education from cradle to career. We owe them
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: safe schools and the highest standards, regardless of zip code.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Yet this White House responds timidly while first graders practice
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: active shooter drills, and the price of higher education grows
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: ever steeper. He said that in his speech last night,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: and it sounded so unbelievable because it's from life anything
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: he's ever saying, right, yeah, right. You know I was
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: sitting there going, wow, man, is anybody and you know
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: the Republicans jump up and clap. They got to know, man,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: this is so hypocritical. This was this is not the
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: guy who's been governing for the past two years. Yeah,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: and he didn't believe the speech. It wasn't convincing. It
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: was already you know when he looks down over the
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: top of his nose like he got on reading glasses.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: You know, he puts his nose up in there like
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: he just nailing it. I just didn't look. Man, if
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: he was sincere about that, and I could detect that
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: in his voice or believe it by any of his actions, yeah,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: I would say, man, pretty good speech, but it wasn't
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: wasn't his words. And you know what, Steve, he also
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: took a lot of credit for the economy and job
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: growth and Mama's credit. Yeah. Yeah, there was a lot
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: of fact checking saying that, you know, he cannot have
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: all the credit for that. Some of that happened under
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: the Obama administration, so you know, but you know, yes,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Fox won't do that though, So his base is being
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: fed several untruths and they're gonna go to the polls.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Look what he's done, Look what's happened since he's been president,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: and Fox is not gonna fact check him. They don't
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: ever fact they don't ever talk about the number of
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: lives ever. So you know, yeah, don't say untrue, say lie,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: say that, I like my granddad said, can say that,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: say something like telling the story, remember that story we
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: could not say lie. Oh no, that was like a
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: cursed word in our house. Yeah, yeah, we had to
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: say why. I don't know why I did question it. Yeah,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: like I got beat down, pushed through the back of
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: your vote, no idea? But because you said why, why
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: I can't say lie? How was that a bad word?
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I just didn't understand it. Listen, my mom said, I
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: guess I'm lying. I guess I'm lying. He said, no,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: it's just a it's a man statement. You got knocked out.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: When I looked up, it was two white people standing
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: open but smelling salt. This one I got that. Why
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: can't you couldn't even finish the six Why can't These
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: millennials don't even know they can say no idea, they
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: can say whatever whatever said to get the rest of
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: it up? Question? Yeah, all right. Coming up at the
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: top of the hour, Tom Brady says he does not
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: like to be called the goats. We'll be back right
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show well New England Patriots
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: super Bowl winning quarterback for the sixth time. Tom Brady
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: says being called the goat greatest of all times. It's
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: just a title that makes him cringe. He says because
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: he handles criticism way better than he deals with compliments.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: I mean a lot of people feel that way. I
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: get it. Brady was was on Good Morning America with
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Michael Strahan. He told he Strayhand told Tom Brady that
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: he considers him the best quarterback who ever played the game.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: But Tom Brady said he doesn't like that. Take a listen.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: A lot of people, myself included, call you the goat,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: greatest of all time. I don't even like that. I
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: don't even like it. It makes me cringe. Really, it
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: makes me cringe. I guess I take compliments worse than
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: I take I wish you would say you're trash or
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: two or you're too slow, you can't get it done
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: no more, and I would say, thank you very much
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: of me. You're driven by criticism more than you're driven
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: by success. Yeah. Absolutely, Yeah. But he is the greatest.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Well if you ain't, who are you? Yeah,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna turn it on you like criticism. If you ain't,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: who are Okay? UH picked the picked the greatest of
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: all times in every sport boxing, football, basketboxing, Muhammad Ali, basketball,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Michael Jordan, baseball, UH greatest baseball player. I would have
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: to give that to Jackie Robinson to play and do
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: what he did in the time. He did it. To me,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: it's just, you know, hands down, what else you want? Golf? Golf,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: tiger Woods, Tennis, uh, tennis for boys and girls. Yeah,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: let's let's break it up. For the dudes, I think
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: it's Roger Fetter. Okay, that makes sense. For the girls,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: I think is Serena. Yes, she's the greatest female player
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: I've ever seen. Hockey. Wayne Gretzky, Yes, you didn't do
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: foa football. You have to go buy positions. Okay, So quarterback,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: greatest quarterback I've ever seen is Tom Brady. Okay, running
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: back Jim Brown. Cornerback Dion Sanders, you better say you
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: gave him love at the NFL. That boy at the
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: corner wicked anymore positions, Wide receiver, wide receiver Jerry Rice, kicker.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I don't like kickers because I like position. I don't coach.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: The greatest partner I've ever seen. Its Gray guy. That's
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: the greatest punner. The kickers. I can't say their name. Coach,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: greatest coach of all time. I like Walsh. I like Walsh,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: but I gotta tell you The best coach I've ever
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: seen for setting up schemes is Bill Belichi. Did we
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: do running back? Running back? Is Jim Brown? The second
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: greatest running back I ever saw with sweetness Walter Okay, okay,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: all right, all right, man, I I know, I know
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: what I know. You have you watched soccer on pile
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: after pile? I like that boy, niem, but there MESSI
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: is bad boy too. What about Arthur Ashley? Where does
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: he fall? Oh? Greatness, greatness and tennis for men for
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: so many reasons. Yeah, he was a bad boy. Yeah.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: The goats, baby, the goats swimming? Swimming? Yeah? Felt? How
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: many calories did you say he ate yesterday? Twelve thousand? Fat?
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: You wouldn't be but he's swimming that off so fast.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I'd be sitting in here looking like Carton. I'll be
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: fat out. We wouldn't be to make one lap in
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: a pull like that? Twelve thousand celories of food? That's
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: so much. Did I miss anything cycling? Did I miss anything?
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: How a cycling? Oh? Yeah? Well I'm strong? Yeahs in there?
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: What about uh? You know those cage sports like um
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: email May Silvil, Yeah, silver out of Brazil. Oh, light
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: heavyweight boxing, and all of that. Oh the greatest light
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: heavyweight Sugar, Now he wasn't light heavyweight Sugar Ray with
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: water weight, I don't never know. I never knew the
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: weight at all. Sugar Ray Lennar probably the baddest walter
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: weight Sugar Ray Robinson was legendary h sugar Rate Lennar,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: though in the water weight division he was a bad
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: boy man. Now how heavy is Walter weight him seven
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: one seventh? It's well, what is now a twelve to
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: weight is the same thing as Walter Walter. Don't get
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: caught up with what Mayweather is, what's boxing or what
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: one but see but see to me, Sugar Ray Leonard
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: would have got Mayweather. Really Oh yeah, man, what about
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: marvelous Marvel? Sugar Ray Leonard would have found the way, sugar.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: But see that's when when when he fought Marvelous, they
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: went up, Okay, they went up. He went up to
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: fight Marvel Marvelous hack Nine Did Walter wake come from
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: a somebody's name? Aren't thought somebody name was Walter and
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: they measured the why he get a weight by himself?
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: But it Bill Ahead weight like that, you know, turn
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Walter Wake came from a guy named Walter Dennison, who
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: kept trying to get into the ring before it was
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: his time, and somebody kept going, well to wait answered,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: wait on, and that's how they came. Walter Dennison. That's
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: a black history moment. That's the black history that you
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: didn't know yet, very little known. And you heard it right,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: Oh lord, you guys. All right, Look, we'll be back
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: with more of this ignorant show right after this. You're
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: listening to, all right, Steve, We've talked a lot today.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: We've talked about the State of the Union address from
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: the President, and we've talked about um Liam Neeson who
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: talked about a racist incident he had in his life
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: back forty years ago. And then, uh, you know, earlier
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: well over the weekend, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam talked about
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: something that happened in his life thirty some five years ago,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: a racial incident. Here's a there's a picture of him
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: in black faith or there's a picture on his page
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: in his medical yearbook from eighty four I think it is,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: And there's a picture of three pictures of him, and
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: then there's one picture of two people, one of them
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: in complete black face, and the other one completely in
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: a klu Klux Klan outfit. At first, he apologized for
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: being in the picture. He is insensitive, he's hurt people.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: He didn't. Then he came back and said, I went
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: home and looked at the picture, and that's not me
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: in the picture. Even though when they kept asking him
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: which one he was, he would never say it. I
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: was so confused. But then he went back and said,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: after looking at and talk with my family and some classmates,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: that's not me in the picture. I thought it was
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: the most cunning, cunning to save his job. Then he
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: came back he said, I never bought to your book,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: so I never saw it. Okay, that could happen. Uh.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: But then he said, the only time I know I
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: was in black face. What's when I did that same
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: year in San Antonio or Michael Jackson comes to him.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: I was in a dance contest and I put dark
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: shoe polish under my eyes because I think we all
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: know how hard it is to get black shoe polish
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: off your face. I was sitting there going, I ain't
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: nobody hit this. No, I don't have any idea how
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: hard you get. I ain't, but for you to make
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: that statement. And we all know how hard it is
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: to get black shoe polish off your face. I went, really,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: how hard is Yeah? Now everybody's calling for his resignation,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: every Democrat, every Republican. Here's my honest opinion. This happened
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: thirty five years ago. We're getting into an era now
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: of political correctness where he was twenty five years old
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: when this decision was made by him. But he swears
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: up and down is not him. He's asking for more time.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: He's got some facial recognition experts on this. But we
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: went back thirty five years to find this, and this
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: guy to lose his job from something he did at
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: twenty five, what's gonna happen if they set the president?
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: But see the presidents. Now, here's what's crazy. Kavanaugh, who
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: is a Supreme Court justice now, was accused of doing
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: something when he was seventeen. They had public kings about it,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: almost did and he still got in. Now, Donald Trump
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: said some stuff on a bus to Billy Bush and
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: his asses to all this, and Billy Bush is gone
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: and Billy Bush is gone, and he didn't say nothing.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: He just lad, that's kind of jet though. We've got
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: a lot of double standards here. All right, We'll have
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, guys. In
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: today's Entertainment news, twenty one Savage, the Atlanta based rapper,
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: was arrested in a targeted operation by US Immigration and
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Customs Enforcement. You know, we know it as ICE. That
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: happened early Sunday in Atlanta. He is currently on a
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: deportation proceedings in federal Immigration Court. According to ICE twenty one,
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: Savage is a British citizen who overstayed his visa after
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: he entered the US legally in July of two and six. However,
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: his attorney said in a statement, as a minor, his
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: family overstayed their work visas, and he, like almost two
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: million other children, was left without legal status through no
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: faull of his own. Twenty one Savages on lockdown right
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: now with no TV and barely any communication. Man, I mean, man,
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: the kid wasn't doing nothing wrong, was he? No? No,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: they said he's been in trouble before, but that all
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: that has been expunged right before. And but they say
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: twenty six and they and they said the ICE doesn't
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: recognize his expungement. They still look at it as breaking
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: the law as a crime. Well you know, um, you
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: can get your record expunge. But that I think I'm not. Well, yeah,
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: but it's really okay. I'm sorry. I know a little
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: bit about this. No it doesn't, but it burns me gone.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: You're talking immigration, they said they don't recognize expungement. They
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: still hold it into account. They don't recognize it at
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: the Canadian board either. So you heard you read a
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: lot of loud and clear all right and other energy.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: I was at customs in in uh Canada for almost
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: six hours. Wow, that's a long time. Almost six hours.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: Dog dam out of man. They cut my coat open,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: all the line and sything they saw them coach we
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: had on the big hats. They had us all get
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: out and boy they got started. Wow. So I understand that,
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: but I don't think this kid has done anything. Um,
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: you know, we got a lot of stuff to deal with.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: A song out too where he was kind of condemning,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: you know, according to TMZ the behavior of immigration officials
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: for the detention of children at the border. So now
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: folks are wondering, is that does that play a part
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: of it? You know, it's just so much just seems
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: like he's being targeting. Yeah, and isn't he UNDERDOCA as well? Yeah,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: I mean he's only twenty six. Yeah, so he came
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: over here right when he was a kid thirteen or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: Well we also have other entertainment news. This is a
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: According to TMZ, Peter, the People for the Ethical Treatment
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: of Animals is mad at Big Boy for rocking his
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: fur during the Super Bowl when he performed at halftime.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: Peter fired off a stern letter to Big Boy, addressing
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: him by his real name, Antoine. Dear Antoine, our heart
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: sank when you took the stage during the Super Bowl
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: wearing your fur coat the animal rights group. Peter tries
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: to confence a Big Boy to retire all of his
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: furs and swim switch to foe. Okay, that's what they're saying.
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: Switch ain't throw no pain on it. Yeah yeah, not
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: not in the Super Bowl. And Peter says they're gonna
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: send him a gorgeous faux first so he can flaunt that.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: All right, So there you have it. We'll be back
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and Steve's
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: closing remarks at forty nine after right after this, you're
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: listening to show. All right, Steve, we are back. It
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: is time to close out of the show, our last
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: break of the day. You have some closing remarks for it. Yeah.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: I want to talk about something Tommy sent me the
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: other day, and it caused me to think about how
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: some people get stuck in their life. And I want
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: to say to everybody, you don't have to stay stuck.
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: You don't have to allow a situation to be so
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: daunting that you can't see moving beyond, because you have to.
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: You have to move beyond things in life. I was
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: having a conversation with somebody and I was telling them
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: that it's imperative that you understand the things that you
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: cannot change. Uh, there's a scripture that tells that so eloquently.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: Of course I don't know it. I can't tell you
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: where it is, as often is the case with me.
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: But I do have it in my heart and I
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: do understand it. But there are there's a scripture that
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: talks about moving on and being in a position of
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: accepting the things you cannot change. And you know, if
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: if if prayer doesn't change a thing or will not
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: change a thing. Even though we all know prayer changes things.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: It's some things that you don't even have to pray
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: for because God told us he wouldn't change it. For example,
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: time and tide weights on no man. Well that's he
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: told you that. So ain't no need of a group
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: of y'all getting together holding hands. Told my Lord stopped
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: the clock at eleven o'clock so we can finish this
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: task in your name heavily, Father, Now stop, he said,
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: Time and tide weights on, no man. So the things
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: that pray ain't gonna change because he told us some
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: things won't won't change like that, You got to accept
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: and move on, and accepting the things that happened in
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: your life are a big part of it. You get
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: stuck when you lose the ability to move on, and
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: staying stuck don't help you at all. And I'll give
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: you an example. What he sent me was this. He said,
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: This plaque says, stop looking for happiness in the same
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: place that you lost it. It has moved on. You know,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: happiness moves on every relationship. Don't stay a healthy relationship.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: Every situation you win that was happy at one time,
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: it can turn sad. You gonna keep looking for happiness
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: in the same place that you lost it. You have
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: got to move on and stop feeling sad for yourself.
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: You're not the first person somebody that left. You ain't
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: the first person that to lost somebody you love. You're
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: not the first person who someone has disappointed. You're not
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: the first person being cheated on. You're not the first
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: person who has lost faith in another person. You ain't
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: the first person been lied to. You're not not the
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: only one I got that things in life are hurt
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: for him. We've all been hurt before. I think I
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: don't know a person that ain't been hurt. I don't
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: think I know a person ain't been disappointed. I don't
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: know anybody that ain't suffered a setback. I don't know
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: anyone who hasn't found something difficult to get over, including myself.
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: But I tell you right now, like the plaques say,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: you can stop looking for happiness in the same place
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: you lost it. Sometimes it's gone. He ain't the one
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: for you, but you want him back. He wasn't good
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: for you when you had him, but I want him back.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: Why would you want back something that wasn't good for
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: you in the first place. Man Can we move on?
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: Give God a chance to put something real in your
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: life by stop wanting something that wasn't good in your life. Stop. Man,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: people don't even know how to accept a blessing. We
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: block more blessings wanting something that ain't good or write
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: for us, stopping something that would be good for us.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: Stop when we're gonna get that through our head. You
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: know how many times I've had to learn this lesson.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: Stop Stop wanting something that ain't good for you. Stop
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: wanting something back that wasn't right for you. Stop move on.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: Give something new a chance in your life. When one
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: door closes in your life, could that possibly mean God
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: got something better for you? Couldn't it possibly be that?
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: Do you think just because the door closes, that that
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: means it's finally over and ain't no more nothing gonna
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: happen for you Because a door shut don't mean your
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: life is done. You didn't die, You suffer a disappointment,
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: You got fined, you got laid off. She texts you
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: and told you she won't you no more. He show
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: up no more, he quick calling. You thought it was good,
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: it wasn't. Stop looking for happiness in the same place
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: you lost it. It's probably time to move on. Those
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: are my clothing remarks. Sir, yr, sir, your sir. All right,
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: Steve bush Man not bad. Sometimes sometimes be talking to myself.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Why you want that back? It's all right. The priest
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: to yourself and Chris asking God for stuff that he
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: not fit to do. We gotta go, all right. Takes
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: it out a big dog, y'all. Have a good week
