- 0:00I'm thinking today of a verse in Mark 16, 7,
- 0:04and it says, But go your way, tell his disciples
- 0:09and Peter that he goes before you into Galilee.
- 0:12There shall you see him, as he said unto you.
- 0:15Here, the young man at the tomb is speaking with
- 0:19Mary Mary and Salome. When they have bought spices
- 0:23to come and deal with the body of Jesus in the
- 0:28tomb, They find the body is gone, and this man
- 0:31is there to tell them. And, you know, church
- 0:36tradition says, and we're pretty sure, that he
- 0:38was an angel delivering the message. And they
- 0:41were told that Jesus was alive and would be awaiting
- 0:44the disciples and them, for that matter, in Galilee
- 0:48when they got there. This was a fulfillment of
- 0:51what Jesus had promised in his lifetime, and
- 0:53that's pretty awesome. It was an amazing thing
- 0:56that Jesus had come back to life. But it's kind
- 0:59of weird that they didn't accept it considering
- 1:01all the miracles that he had performed. At the
- 1:04same time, we can't accuse them of anything because
- 1:06with what Jesus has done in us, we have a lot
- 1:11of doubt, a lot of anxiety that maybe we shouldn't
- 1:14have. So let's take our cue from the young man
- 1:19at the tomb. Don't worry about it. Jesus is there
- 1:22for you. Jesus loves you and is working on your
- 1:25behalf, and he's going to keep all the promises
- 1:27he has made. Let us trust Jesus and meet with
- 1:30him, not just once, but regularly, until that
- 1:34time which we go to be with him permanently.
- 1:36Praise God that he's arranged that for us. Word
- 1:40of encouragement, this Saturday at New Heights,
- 1:43we're having our Grand Prix race day. Everyone's
- 1:45welcome to join us on free lunch starting at
- 1:47noon.
