- 0:28Speaker 1: excuse me for coughing. Now, I've been on vacation. I've
- 0:31Speaker 1: lost all the rules of radio and being on vacation.
- 0:35Speaker 1: It's amazing when you when you go on vacation. And
- 0:38Speaker 1: because of the fact that my body was different, my
- 0:41Speaker 1: mind was different, my world was different. As soon as
- 0:44Speaker 1: it got on that plane halfway back over here, I
- 0:48Speaker 1: could tell my body was different. I can tell the
- 0:50Speaker 1: focus I started realizing. I was about to get back
- 0:53Speaker 1: into the jungle, the jungle we call every day life.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'm about to start seeing, you know, reading about stuff
- 1:02Speaker 1: I don't want to read about evening news, all that
- 1:04Speaker 1: good stuff. But again, so that tells you there's something
- 1:07Speaker 1: I used to didn't. I didn't take vacations. Man, I
- 1:10Speaker 1: didn't take vacations at all. I was so paranoid, worried
- 1:14Speaker 1: about getting off that little wheel that somebody's gonna take
- 1:17Speaker 1: my slide or I would lose my advantage. And not
- 1:21Speaker 1: realizing the advantage I was losing was not spending enough
- 1:24Speaker 1: time with my family, not taking care of my body,
- 1:28Speaker 1: allowing stress, mental strain. Something we'll be talking about a
- 1:32Speaker 1: lot on the show today. If you want to talk
- 1:35Speaker 1: to us today, please call us and let us know.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Shares your stories today, what's happening in your life? Why
- 1:41Speaker 1: is it important that I should hear your story? Why?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Because my story is I'm being undered next week and
- 1:49Speaker 1: I'm happy to say that. And the fact that somebody
- 1:53Speaker 1: has thought of media Atlanta Business League has thought of
- 1:56Speaker 1: myself and somebody had to nominate me. I didn't nominate myself.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Nobody thought enough to nominate me. And because of that,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I'm being recognized for being a community leader, for being
- 2:06Speaker 1: an entrepreneur. And that amazing in itself that somebody thought
- 2:12Speaker 1: of that. And I you tr have a second it
- 2:13Speaker 1: on a show called the Bragging Segment. Well, this is
- 2:15Speaker 1: Rushan McDonald's bragging segment. The Atlanta Business League host is
- 2:19Speaker 1: seventeen annual. This is in Atlanta, Georgia. Men of influenced

- 2:32Speaker 1: sharing that room with me next week and one of
- 2:35Speaker 1: the legends of the Hall of Fame that will be
- 2:37Speaker 1: inducted to the incredible Warwick Done. If you don't know
- 2:41Speaker 1: what this young man has done with his life personally,
- 2:44Speaker 1: what he has done with the community, not only as
- 2:47Speaker 1: an athlete and a formal NFL player, but a philanthropist
- 2:50Speaker 1: house building is incredible. Google that man's name Warwick Done,
- 2:55Speaker 1: w Rriick Done. But also there are other influencers out there.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Just share a few names. Not gonna burden you. People
- 3:02Speaker 1: who I'll call my classmates. You know Afred McCrae, he's
- 3:07Speaker 1: the president of the Bank of America Atlanta. My man,
- 3:10Speaker 1: doctor Kevin James, president of Morris Brown, doctor David A. Thomas,
- 3:15Speaker 1: the president of Morehouse College, and many, many more will
- 3:18Speaker 1: be sharing that stage with me on the night of
- 3:22Speaker 1: Black Excellence. From a male perspective, The twenty twenty three
- 3:26Speaker 1: Atlanta Business League men of influence. I will be MOI
- 3:32Speaker 1: I'll be deducted to have my pictures. You know, I'm
- 3:34Speaker 1: gonna put it on social media. I'm gonna do it up.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it up on the way Useean McDonald
- 3:38Speaker 1: can do it up. But more importantly, my family be there,
- 3:40Speaker 1: and people that carry about will be there, and more
- 3:43Speaker 1: importantly WC Okay, we'll be there doing their thing because
- 3:47Speaker 1: we are a community station that shouts out to success,
- 3:50Speaker 1: not only from an entrepreneurial standpoint for the community. We're
- 3:53Speaker 1: a community base and we're leaders in that forefront, not
- 3:56Speaker 1: only in jazz. When this show streams worldwide, because I know,
- 4:00Speaker 1: because of the fact that I get calls from Florida
- 4:03Speaker 1: to Pennsylvania, to California to the Midwest. But more importantly
- 4:10Speaker 1: than the guests I bring on the show, the guests
- 4:12Speaker 1: who have made this show so successful. And like again,
- 4:15Speaker 1: if you want to call and talk today, you know,
- 4:17Speaker 1: want to congratulate me for being honored, I take that
- 4:20Speaker 1: phone call. If you want to talk about some of
- 4:22Speaker 1: the things you want to share from a small business perspective,
- 4:26Speaker 1: I would do that. Now let's get to business, my guests.
- 4:29Speaker 1: He's on the call and I had him on the
- 4:31Speaker 1: show before and it really dealt into chronic pain, mental stress,
- 4:35Speaker 1: overcoming the odds. His name is Jackson Dunbar. He triumphed
- 4:39Speaker 1: by earning a comfortable living after having lost it all.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Dunbar's committed to creating a new normal life for himself,
- 4:46Speaker 1: deliberately focused on his physical health and strength, continue to
- 4:50Speaker 1: earn an income while still in chronic pain, and without
- 4:54Speaker 1: his knowledge, was teaching himself and possibly the world, a
- 4:58Speaker 1: masterclass in survival. In this book, he gives a first
- 5:02Speaker 1: hand account on how he made money, lost nanty pals,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and thrived in chronic pain in the financial and health
- 5:09Speaker 1: care worlds. Please welcome the money Making Conversation master class
- 5:12Speaker 1: again the one and only Jackson Dunbar. How you doing, sir, great?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Thank you so much for having me. And I want
- 5:21Speaker 2: to say congratulations on the world.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I appreciate appreciate it, you know, because you know I
- 5:26Speaker 1: had to be nominated by it. I didn't. I didn't
- 5:28Speaker 1: do the nomination myself. When it was an email was
- 5:31Speaker 1: sent to me, I was surprised and uh taking am
- 5:34Speaker 1: back about it in a good way, you know, because
- 5:37Speaker 1: when I invite you and I meet people like you.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'm being educated, Jackson. I'm being confronted with information I
- 5:44Speaker 1: didn't know about. And I'm just going to share something
- 5:46Speaker 1: I was on vacation. I hurt my knee, Jackson, and
- 5:49Speaker 1: right now it's hurt right now, my left knee, and
- 5:51Speaker 1: so I continue to walk up the heels, I continue
- 5:54Speaker 1: to do everything with my family, and that ice packed it.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So I'm dealing with a degree of pain as we speak.
- 6:01Speaker 1: But I wanted to get into detail and talk about
- 6:04Speaker 1: the pain that you're dealing with. I would like to
- 6:06Speaker 1: believe you're dealing with it currently. Correct.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I am. I am a chronic pain patient
- 6:12Speaker 2: due to a car accident, chronic paying patient to someone
- 6:16Speaker 2: that's in Constant Paine over six months. I've been in
- 6:20Speaker 2: Constant Paine since twenty fifteen. That was when my accident occurred.
- 6:24Speaker 2: And yeah, I just have to deal with it.
- 6:27Speaker 1: When you say that now, right now, there's a you know,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I've had pain. I was in the hospital for thirty days.
- 6:34Speaker 1: My lung collapsed, and I remember, I'll shared the story
- 6:38Speaker 1: with everybody. I remember when I went into hospital, it
- 6:40Speaker 1: was in an emergency and the doctor pulled back the
- 6:44Speaker 1: courage and he said, we don't do immediate surgery on you,
- 6:47Speaker 1: you will die. I can always remember that statement. You
- 6:50Speaker 1: said that because my lung had collapsed so much that
- 6:53Speaker 1: I you know, you know it's interesting how you're long
- 6:56Speaker 1: you when it collapsed, it becomes the size of a quarters.
- 6:59Speaker 1: How that's how big it was when it collapsed. And
- 7:02Speaker 1: and and they had to so they had to do
- 7:04Speaker 1: surgery on me by making an incision or right above
- 7:08Speaker 1: my or along my small rib cage to insert a tube. Well,
- 7:12Speaker 1: guess what, they couldn't dead in anything. I had to
- 7:18Speaker 1: feel the incision. I had to feel the two being
- 7:22Speaker 1: inserted in me and deal with the pain. And I remember, Jackson,
- 7:27Speaker 1: it was just it was a moment where you just
- 7:30Speaker 1: had to deal with it. Otherwise the results wouldn't have
- 7:34Speaker 1: came out that would allow me to talk today. How
- 7:37Speaker 1: did you because that was just an incident, but you're
- 7:40Speaker 1: dealing with it twenty four hours a day.
- 7:43Speaker 2: How I think the hard part, and this took a
- 7:46Speaker 2: few years for me, was I was focused on what
- 7:50Speaker 2: I lost. The summer before the accident, I ran the
- 7:53Speaker 2: peach tree. I ran the peach tree with my wife, right,
- 7:57Speaker 2: you know. I used to back around thumb mountain time
- 8:00Speaker 2: with my son. So I think the first three years
- 8:02Speaker 2: of this I focused on that, and then what happened.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I started I met a minister and she told me, hey,
- 8:11Speaker 2: why don't you start focusing on the things you can do,
- 8:15Speaker 2: and then suggested I get therapy, on which I did.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I got to say, if you're chronic pain patient and
- 8:23Speaker 2: you don't have a good mental health team that can
- 8:27Speaker 2: help you focus on those things that can keep your
- 8:31Speaker 2: focus and moving forward, yeah, you're missing a great piece
- 8:36Speaker 2: of something that's going to make you healthy long term.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So after after I got the tools in order to
- 8:46Speaker 2: figure out how to focus on what I could do,
- 8:49Speaker 2: what I could do for myself, what I could do
- 8:51Speaker 2: for my family, what I could do for my community.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Then it became like any other problem I was solving business,
- 9:00Speaker 2: I myself. I have always been told I'm I create
- 9:03Speaker 2: a problem solver. Problem became, Hey, how do I make
- 9:07Speaker 2: How do I make money even though I can't leave
- 9:11Speaker 2: my house? How do I lose weight even though I'm
- 9:14Speaker 2: on pay meds that make me gain weight? How do
- 9:18Speaker 2: I thrive in crime pain even though I'm on mids
- 9:21Speaker 2: that make me suicidal? How do I deal with the
- 9:24Speaker 2: racism that's singdemic and pain medacine treatment. As a middle
- 9:31Speaker 2: aged black man who often Yeah, even though eighty percent
- 9:37Speaker 2: of the people that die from opiate overdoses are white
- 9:40Speaker 2: men and women between the ages of twenty five and
- 9:43Speaker 2: thirty two, I'm stereotyped often when I go in order
- 9:47Speaker 2: to get my medications. He's the reason I wrote my
- 9:50Speaker 2: book Race Matters and Pay Medicine, How I made money,
- 9:53Speaker 2: Lost ninety pounds and where IV in crime Pain.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It was interesting because a lot of sickle cell patients
- 10:00Speaker 1: get stereotype as drug users when they come in and
- 10:03Speaker 1: try to seek drug medication because they know what they're
- 10:06Speaker 1: supposed to get and they know they know why they
- 10:10Speaker 1: should be getting it, and people will call them or
- 10:13Speaker 1: accuse them of being drug users. So that a lot
- 10:17Speaker 1: of it is due to the fact because they are
- 10:19Speaker 1: people of color, they are offering the minority community and
- 10:22Speaker 1: people are stereotyping them. So I would have to say
- 10:24Speaker 1: that you oftentimes was a victim of stereotyping. Correct.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yes, yes, even despite the numbers that most of the
- 10:32Speaker 2: people who are dying from this do not look like us.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Wow, Now, it was something you put out there that
- 10:38Speaker 1: I wanted to bring back because in twenty twenty, during COVID,
- 10:42Speaker 1: therapy became a rise in the Black community, you know,
- 10:46Speaker 1: became a normal part of the conversation, the mental health conversation.
- 10:51Speaker 1: A lot of famous people started confessing their issues, a
- 10:54Speaker 1: lot of athletes started confessing their issues or with mental health,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and they COVID really sent people over the edge. A
- 11:02Speaker 1: lot of relationships were lost during the COVID period due
- 11:06Speaker 1: to mental strain. Now you said the word therapy. Now
- 11:11Speaker 1: with that a word, did you could share publicly with
- 11:14Speaker 1: your friends, with your people that you cared about as strangers,
- 11:18Speaker 1: without being looked upon as a person with a problem.
- 11:22Speaker 2: You know what My favorite chapter in this book is
- 11:28Speaker 2: real Black men don't do therapy. And what's funny about
- 11:34Speaker 2: that is that I ownly Well met Atlanta. We're a
- 11:39Speaker 2: group of African American child and adolescent psychiatrists that work
- 11:43Speaker 2: in the Greater Atlanta area. So I'm surrounded by a
- 11:46Speaker 2: psychiatrists and for whatever, and they were telling me, hey, listen,
- 11:52Speaker 2: something's off with you. I think you need therapy, and
- 11:57Speaker 2: I just wasn't hearing it. And it wasn't until what
- 12:04Speaker 2: what happened. I was taking my daughter to the hair store.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Sally's right, yeah, closed the door on my face. I
- 12:12Speaker 2: started yelling at him. He called me an old man,
- 12:15Speaker 2: that this old man can kick your butt, and my
- 12:18Speaker 2: daughter was afraid of me.
- 12:20Speaker 1: And he little Jackson, that was you talk about the
- 12:24Speaker 1: old man could kick your butt. That was you.
- 12:27Speaker 3: And I was in a scooter saying this. I can
- 12:31Speaker 3: imagine that I was in a shooter telling some twenty
- 12:35Speaker 3: year old pump okay that could beat him down.
- 12:39Speaker 2: And I had my nine year.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Old daughter there right right, and she looked.
- 12:43Speaker 2: At me like I was crazy. And I came home.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I told my wife, Hey, you know what you're right,
- 12:51Speaker 2: Adam minimum all the work that I put into at
- 12:55Speaker 2: that time, I put a lot of work into my diet,
- 12:57Speaker 2: dropping weight in order to manage the pain, put any
- 13:00Speaker 2: work into my into my mind. So she helped me
- 13:04Speaker 2: find a therapist that focused in chronic pain and the
- 13:09Speaker 2: psychiatrist that did as well. And the psychiatrist wasn't my
- 13:12Speaker 2: saving grace because what she was able to do was
- 13:15Speaker 2: lay out all my meds. At this time. The pain
- 13:19Speaker 2: doctor was giving me meds, the PCP was giving me meds,
- 13:23Speaker 2: the urologists was getting I was getting mads from everybody,
- 13:27Speaker 2: but there was no one serving as as a quarterback,
- 13:31Speaker 2: you know, to basically say hey, these meds should go here,
- 13:34Speaker 2: these meds shouldn't be here. Whatever psychiatrists did all that,
- 13:38Speaker 2: she was like, Okay, this is what's making you crazy,
- 13:40Speaker 2: that's making you gang weight. Yeah. So basically she got
- 13:44Speaker 2: rid of some things, outed some mothers, and then finally
- 13:47Speaker 2: think right and be myself again. It was it was
- 13:52Speaker 2: almost as if Hey, the person that I was was
- 13:55Speaker 2: gone for years and the finally I could think the
- 13:58Speaker 2: way the way I normally did.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, because a lot of people who deal with I
- 14:02Speaker 1: get there. I hear this, bipolar illnesses complain about the meds.
- 14:07Speaker 1: They they often the time they will drop off of them.
- 14:10Speaker 5: You know.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I recently interviewed Will Downing and his daughter was bipolar
- 14:16Speaker 1: and she committed suicide January of this year. And so
- 14:21Speaker 1: because of the fact that she got off of meds
- 14:24Speaker 1: and because of that uncomfiden zone, she went into isolation,
- 14:28Speaker 1: and of course isolation. So recently I say that we're
- 14:31Speaker 1: about to we're going to go to a break. But
- 14:32Speaker 1: when I come back, I want to talk about your
- 14:34Speaker 1: support groups that got you through it, because of the
- 14:38Speaker 1: fact that when you came back home after that incident
- 14:41Speaker 1: that your daughter saw, you spoke to your wife and
- 14:45Speaker 1: that was an important conversation because that led you to
- 14:47Speaker 1: the better life that you lived today. We'll be right
- 14:49Speaker 1: back for more money making conversation talking to mister Jackson Dunbar.
- 14:53Speaker 1: We'll be getting to financial fire financial literacy later on
- 14:56Speaker 1: this show, but more importantly, How I made money is chat.
- 15:00Speaker 1: How I made money, lost ninety pounds and thrived in
- 15:03Speaker 1: chronic pain. If we were like, we'll be right back
- 15:05Speaker 1: with more money Making Conversation, please.
- 15:07Speaker 5: Don't go anywhere. We'll be right back with more money
- 15:10Speaker 5: Making Conversations Masterclass. Welcome back to the Money Making Conversations Masterclass,
- 15:21Speaker 5: hosted by Rashaan McDonald. Money Making Conversations Masterclass continues online
- 15:26Speaker 5: at Moneymakingconversations dot com and follow money Making Conversations Masterclass
- 15:31Speaker 5: on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I'm speaking with Jackson Gumbar. If you want to join
- 15:37Speaker 1: the conversation, I want to share your stories about mental
- 15:40Speaker 1: health recovery, accepting the fact that you needed of therapy
- 15:45Speaker 1: or in your life, because the whole thing about it
- 15:47Speaker 1: is I'm just trying to create an open line of conversation,
- 15:50Speaker 1: and so many people like us, people of colors, especially
- 15:53Speaker 1: men who avoid I've told people many times I probably
- 15:56Speaker 1: have dealt with depression many times in my life and
- 15:58Speaker 1: didn't even know it. I just dealt with it. And uh,
- 16:01Speaker 1: And you don't have to do that. You don't have
- 16:03Speaker 1: to deal with something by yourself. You don't have to
- 16:05Speaker 1: be a shame that something that's happening in your life
- 16:08Speaker 1: that's making you uncomfortable. And that's what this show really
- 16:11Speaker 1: is about. Money making Conversations, masterclass. It's a journey into
- 16:15Speaker 1: your spirit, into your soul with information and hopefully these
- 16:19Speaker 1: interviews will motivate you to be honest with yourself, will
- 16:23Speaker 1: be motivated, will motivate you to share your understanding that
- 16:27Speaker 1: you can make a difference in life. That's all I do.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I get up every day trying to make a difference.
- 16:31Speaker 1: And I feel that my interview that I've had for
- 16:34Speaker 1: the second time with Jackson Dunbar, because he impacted a
- 16:37Speaker 1: lot of people the last time he was on the show,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and bringing him back on the show really is kind
- 16:42Speaker 1: of like defining his purpose. His purpose is to let
- 16:45Speaker 1: people hear his story and motivate them to be winners.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Am I correct? Jackson?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Thank you for having me back.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Well, you know, I'll be honest with you. You know a
- 16:57Speaker 1: lot of people came to including one of my producers,
- 17:00Speaker 1: uh was recommending that I bring you back and said, Rashan,
- 17:04Speaker 1: we should really look at developing a show, especially in
- 17:09Speaker 1: around men and mental health, men in therapy, men in
- 17:14Speaker 1: you know, within the black community, we are you know,
- 17:17Speaker 1: we you know, last, high, first fire, last to get
- 17:20Speaker 1: the information on the financial end, last to get information
- 17:23Speaker 1: on therapy, scept the responsibility deny the gay community within
- 17:27Speaker 1: our household, deny there's age in our household. We're such
- 17:30Speaker 1: an in denial community that we're in the end, we
- 17:34Speaker 1: are only hurting ourselves by being misinformed about what we
- 17:37Speaker 1: can do. And when you write a book like this,
- 17:40Speaker 1: which I feel is a very very purposeful book, How
- 17:45Speaker 1: I Made Money? You know, it's one of the chapters
- 17:47Speaker 1: in your book, what promlet do you select investing as
- 17:50Speaker 1: a money maker?
- 17:52Speaker 2: I think what I did. I think any trying to
- 17:54Speaker 2: pain patient and my position should do this as well.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Come to the reality that you are limited in what
- 18:04Speaker 2: you can do. If you're lucky with the payments, you
- 18:08Speaker 2: may have a few hours of lucidity at best. So
- 18:12Speaker 2: the question is is what's the best way to make money,
- 18:15Speaker 2: the biggest bang for the buck in that short amount
- 18:17Speaker 2: of time. And for me, it was investing. Let's see,
- 18:21Speaker 2: because of because I have a lot of great in NBA,
- 18:24Speaker 2: I spent a lot of time crunching numbers and analyzing
- 18:28Speaker 2: trends in my career, so I thought, hey, why why
- 18:32Speaker 2: can't I use that for the stock market. So essentially
- 18:37Speaker 2: what I did was I said, hey, how much money
- 18:41Speaker 2: could I afford to lose on a trip to Vegas.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I'm talking hotel, airfare, gambling, whatnot. I'll without losing any sleep.
- 18:52Speaker 2: So I took those funds and I started investing.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I think, so let's give us a number of day.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I don't know how what's your trip to Vegas? Are
- 19:01Speaker 1: you know Softwales or your first class on Delta? What
- 19:04Speaker 1: do you roll with a do you roll with an
- 19:06Speaker 1: off strip motel? Or you on the strip? You know
- 19:10Speaker 1: in caesar Please please let us know what is your
- 19:13Speaker 1: version of a Vegas trip? Jackson?
- 19:15Speaker 2: Okay, okay, so hey, I'm way too over Southwest, I'm blind,
- 19:21Speaker 2: I'm staying at Caesars.
- 19:23Speaker 1: There you go.
- 19:24Speaker 3: When I get there, there you go, there you go,
- 19:26Speaker 3: there you go.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Okay, So so let's say five to.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Ten grand, there you go, there you go. You working there?
- 19:32Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so five to ten granted. And at the
- 19:35Speaker 2: time when I started, interest rates were zero, so everybody
- 19:39Speaker 2: was making money, right, so I figured, hey, I had
- 19:43Speaker 2: more credentials than my financial planner. Why not give it
- 19:47Speaker 2: a shot. First month I turned that I what tripled
- 19:52Speaker 2: that money?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Okay? Now now then when you say that, now, you
- 19:56Speaker 1: gotta slow it down my team, because that's when they
- 19:58Speaker 1: get injured. This money made conversations massacre. How did you
- 20:00Speaker 1: triple your money? Was it crypto? Because that was a
- 20:03Speaker 1: big that was kind of like the raisee there Crypto
- 20:05Speaker 1: money get flipped real quick bigcoin? Did you what? What
- 20:09Speaker 1: made you make decisions on? Will you tech? Where were
- 20:13Speaker 1: you at with your money?
- 20:15Speaker 2: Okay? Where was I at?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Neo?
- 20:19Speaker 2: I made most of that money on Neo, and and
- 20:25Speaker 2: I did get on I did get on bigcoin at
- 20:28Speaker 2: four thousand, so TOCI by accident to this day, if
- 20:32Speaker 2: I put that money on Ethereum, yeah, life that would
- 20:37Speaker 2: have been life changing. But bigcoin is one of those
- 20:41Speaker 2: things is that you get on at a low let's
- 20:45Speaker 2: see at a low cost, Bashes, leave it alone. You'll
- 20:48Speaker 2: come back a year and bam, there's all this money.
- 20:50Speaker 2: That was what happened to me there at the at
- 20:53Speaker 2: the same time, anything.
- 20:57Speaker 6: Jack saying, you know you heard.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I feel is over here. Bam, all that money, it's
- 21:04Speaker 1: some people out there. They're by ready to commit suicide.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Listen to this call. I'm telling you we're not trying
- 21:10Speaker 1: to put people in the stress lane. When you can't
- 21:12Speaker 1: say bam, all that money that that that hurts my feeling.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you, Jack, that hurts my feeling.
- 21:19Speaker 2: You know what's funny, Okay, When I started investing, within
- 21:23Speaker 2: a month, I went from my wife leaving the house.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I'm on the sofa in pain. You know how your
- 21:31Speaker 2: wife can look at you if you're not working, she's
- 21:32Speaker 2: got to go to work.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Right right, right, right right, Yeah, my wife understands the
- 21:38Speaker 4: pain I'm in, but still it's like, why is this
- 21:42Speaker 4: guy on the couch and I gotta go out.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I went from that and a month to baby, You've.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Had this skill set our whole life.
- 21:53Speaker 3: And you never once thought about using it.
- 21:57Speaker 6: And Jackson, Jacks, You're funny, she said, baby like that, baby, baby, yes, yes.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And thirty days I couldn't believe.
- 22:12Speaker 1: She went from cutting to evili You rolled around in
- 22:15Speaker 1: the wheelchair the baby. You got a skill set. I
- 22:19Speaker 1: didn't know you had. Come on over here, come over here,
- 22:21Speaker 1: let let's talk. But that, but that skill set. You know,
- 22:25Speaker 1: God is good in a lot of ways because of
- 22:27Speaker 1: the fact that you took advantage of You could have
- 22:30Speaker 1: sat in the corner and complained, took your drugs, not
- 22:33Speaker 1: do therapy, and embarrass your daughter every year on her
- 22:37Speaker 1: birthday because you were mad at the life, because you
- 22:40Speaker 1: felt sorry for yourself. You know, because of the fact
- 22:43Speaker 1: that you know, right now my knee hurt, but it's
- 22:46Speaker 1: not in chronic pain. Because right now, when I get up,
- 22:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna feel the pain because my knee is at
- 22:51Speaker 1: an angle and I start to walk. I'm a feeling.
- 22:53Speaker 1: But you know, I tend to want to get a
- 22:56Speaker 1: clearer understanding if you could help me and my listeners.
- 23:02Speaker 1: What is a day in the life of a person
- 23:05Speaker 1: who's in criminal pain from when they get up or
- 23:07Speaker 1: what they try to sleep? What is that? And how
- 23:10Speaker 1: does that feel? And how do you how do you
- 23:12Speaker 1: how do what's that day to day out our experience.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Okay, Well it starts up with you wake up, Okay,
- 23:21Speaker 2: how do I get out of bed and at least
- 23:24Speaker 2: amount of pain? Then you go to okay, how do
- 23:27Speaker 2: I do number one or number two and at least
- 23:30Speaker 2: amount of pain?
- 23:31Speaker 1: Okay?
- 23:33Speaker 2: Then then it's okay. You have to remember your meds.
- 23:39Speaker 2: And I've been taking the same mass for years HyET
- 23:41Speaker 2: forever reason that time of the day I always forget.
- 23:45Speaker 2: It's always hard to remember which meds to take. So
- 23:47Speaker 2: I got some for the morning, some for the afternoon,
- 23:50Speaker 2: and then some at night. It takes about an hour,
- 23:55Speaker 2: and kind of groggy from my morning managed to kick in.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I'm on im on my recliner and I'm sort of
- 24:05Speaker 2: in between let's see, and then all of a sudden, bam,
- 24:10Speaker 2: I'm lucid, and I'm that way for the next few hours.
- 24:14Speaker 2: That's when that's when I'm trading. I'm looking at crypto,
- 24:19Speaker 2: I'm looking at crypto based fox, I'm looking at it.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Well here, Karon Hunter had me on her show back
- 24:25Speaker 2: in April. I told her Ribbean is shit. I hope
- 24:28Speaker 2: she listened to me, because she did, she would have
- 24:30Speaker 2: more than she would have almost tripled her money. I
- 24:34Speaker 2: think it was straightening her by nine dollars to share it.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Then I think it's somewhere around twenty five twenty six now,
- 24:40Speaker 2: So I so I look at the trends and then
- 24:44Speaker 2: I told everyone, hey, hey, listen, if you want to
- 24:48Speaker 2: trade five find other people who like to trade as well,
- 24:51Speaker 2: because what ends up happening is that y'all former community.
- 24:55Speaker 2: And I might be a car guy, you might be
- 24:59Speaker 2: a I'm out of these guys. You may have them
- 25:02Speaker 2: on up. That's a crypto guy. Anyway, We're all looking
- 25:05Speaker 2: at different aspects of the market, and you may find
- 25:08Speaker 2: something that I don't know about that makes money, and
- 25:11Speaker 2: vice versa. So we have a meeting, we discuss all
- 25:14Speaker 2: of that, right, and then I go about the business
- 25:17Speaker 2: of making some money. Afterwards, the meds were off, the
- 25:23Speaker 2: pain becomes sharp. I wait until about four or so
- 25:27Speaker 2: to take my afternoon meds. Then the pain is really bad.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I will hopefully make it to the pool swim stretch,
- 25:37Speaker 2: and then by around eight nine o'clock I'm just on
- 25:41Speaker 2: the floor waiting to take the afternoon meds that will
- 25:45Speaker 2: put me to sleep maybe around midnight, and then I
- 25:48Speaker 2: do it all over again. Wow.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Oh, thank you for sharing that that story. That's an
- 25:54Speaker 1: honest story. And I want you to stick around. And
- 25:58Speaker 1: I don't want to get back to the financial investing
- 26:00Speaker 1: because we only tip tip of the ice, creare. I
- 26:02Speaker 1: want the people understand your value. And also you're in
- 26:05Speaker 1: the healthcare field as well, correct Jackson.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Yes, yes, psychiatry, childless and adult psychiatry.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Cool. We want to talk about that a little bit.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But more importantly, I just wanted to talk to my
- 26:16Speaker 1: audience for a minute about not only fiscal responsibility but
- 26:21Speaker 1: mental responsibility. Well, I look at my life, you know,
- 26:25Speaker 1: it was really interesting, Jackson. I will start thinking about
- 26:28Speaker 1: what I didn't do in my life. You know, that's
- 26:30Speaker 1: a that's a that's a place man, where you can
- 26:33Speaker 1: wallow and pity. And if I had done this, this
- 26:37Speaker 1: could happened. If I'd done this, This could have happened
- 26:39Speaker 1: if I'd have went over here, if I wouldn't, And
- 26:42Speaker 1: we can never get into that point in our lives
- 26:45Speaker 1: and regret what we've done. We should only focus on
- 26:49Speaker 1: what we can do and plan a better life, not
- 26:52Speaker 1: only for yourself but for your family. And that was
- 26:56Speaker 1: one of the primary reasons Jackson. I wanted to bring
- 26:59Speaker 1: you back on the show because I felt our interview
- 27:02Speaker 1: was fantastic, but I really wanted people hear the sacrifices
- 27:07Speaker 1: that your family makes due to this accident related injury
- 27:11Speaker 1: that came into your life. You didn't plan on living
- 27:14Speaker 1: a life of chronic painting. Like you said, you was
- 27:15Speaker 1: bike riding, he was done the Peach Tree five k race,
- 27:20Speaker 1: and so you was active. But you did not let
- 27:23Speaker 1: a negative win in your life. And that's important and
- 27:28Speaker 1: that's part of your motivation now. I would assume.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Correct, yes, yes, and when and when you get I
- 27:37Speaker 2: call it the dark and the light side of the forest. Okay,
- 27:41Speaker 2: standing on that dark side, only focus on the things
- 27:44Speaker 2: you can't No nothing but misery over there. When you
- 27:49Speaker 2: make your life one hundred about what can I do
- 27:54Speaker 2: to maximize my life in the three or four hours
- 27:57Speaker 2: I have a day, You'll be You'll be shocked at
- 28:02Speaker 2: just what your mind comes up with. If you don't
- 28:05Speaker 2: have time to be us around or any of this
- 28:07Speaker 2: other stuff. You got to get to get the business.
- 28:11Speaker 4: And that's how and that's how I focused myself.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Remember this. If you planning a vacation, think about it. Twice.
- 28:17Speaker 1: You might want to invest. You're listening to money Making
