- 2:04Speaker 6: Come onring everybody you are listening to the voice, come
- 2:07Speaker 6: on dig me now, one and all is Steve Harvey.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Man got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 6: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God in a
- 2:14Speaker 6: blessing business.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all. I'm just a recipient.
- 2:20Speaker 6: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God is in
- 2:22Speaker 6: the show you favor business. He showed me some favor.
- 2:28Speaker 6: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God is in
- 2:30Speaker 6: a forgiving business.
- 2:33Speaker 1: God forgave me.
- 2:36Speaker 6: Thousands and thousands of times, you know. And I say
- 2:42Speaker 6: that as a big number like that, because it's probably true.
- 2:47Speaker 6: God is a forgiving God. That's how I exists today,
- 2:50Speaker 6: and that's how you exist today. And one of the
- 2:53Speaker 6: things I want to remind you about even in existing today.
- 2:57Speaker 6: You know, Joel Ostein has a book I'll call your Time.
- 3:01Speaker 6: I love this book. It's called It's Your Time, and
- 3:05Speaker 6: that's kind of what I want to touch on today.
- 3:07Speaker 6: And I want to remind you all that it's still
- 3:11Speaker 6: your time. See, you know there's look, you know, they've
- 3:16Speaker 6: got unsuccessful people have created a lot of sayings to
- 3:23Speaker 6: justify our failures as people.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Well, my ship has passed.
- 3:30Speaker 6: That was created by a person who did not quite
- 3:36Speaker 6: make their goal in the amount of time that they
- 3:39Speaker 6: had set for. So to justify it, here comes this great,
- 3:42Speaker 6: seemingly very clever saying, and a lot of us are death. Well,
- 3:47Speaker 6: my ship has passed, so we adopt that. Here's another one. Well,
- 3:51Speaker 6: I guess it just wasn't meant to be. That sounds good,
- 3:55Speaker 6: don't it, because they mix it up with a little
- 3:59Speaker 6: bit of faith base in it. I guessed it wasn't. Well,
- 4:03Speaker 6: here's another one. I guess if God wanted it for me,
- 4:06Speaker 6: i'd have it. Are you serious?
- 4:09Speaker 5: Man?
- 4:10Speaker 6: Are you serious? You're actually gonna use that one to
- 4:17Speaker 6: justify where you are in life? Man?
- 4:20Speaker 1: That's so that's so not the case.
- 4:23Speaker 6: I want to remind everybody today that it's still your time.
- 4:30Speaker 6: That you know your ship hasn't sailed you didn't miss
- 4:34Speaker 6: all of your opportunities. There's others. It's still your time.
- 4:40Speaker 6: You know, you still got a chance. You still have
- 4:45Speaker 6: a shot. Here's a good one. You still have hope,
- 4:52Speaker 6: you do all of you. As long as God is
- 4:57Speaker 6: who he is, there's always hope for you. You can
- 5:03Speaker 6: never lose sight of that. You can never let the
- 5:05Speaker 6: devil win that battle that there is no hope for
- 5:09Speaker 6: you and cause you to do something that's unthinkable. I'm
- 5:16Speaker 6: just gonna cash in the chips. I'm gonna take my life.
- 5:19Speaker 6: I'm gonna commit suicide. No no, no, wait a second,
- 5:22Speaker 6: Wait a second, are you for real? That's not God
- 5:26Speaker 6: talking to you. That's something wrong and it's not coming
- 5:30Speaker 6: from him. It's still your time. You still got a chance.
- 5:36Speaker 6: There's always hope. But listen to me. You got to
- 5:40Speaker 6: move and you got to move on it. So many
- 5:45Speaker 6: people are not getting the full benefit of their life,
- 5:48Speaker 6: and so many people are not getting all the blessings
- 5:51Speaker 6: that God has for because you keep waiting on the
- 5:55Speaker 6: perfect time.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Man.
- 5:56Speaker 6: How many times have I heard people come to me
- 5:58Speaker 6: and say, hey, man, man, I'm just waiting on everything
- 6:01Speaker 6: to line up right. Man, I'm waiting on the perfect
- 6:04Speaker 6: time to get Hey, can I tell you something. If
- 6:08Speaker 6: I was waiting on the perfect time, I wouldn't be
- 6:13Speaker 6: hardly any of the things that I've become. And one
- 6:17Speaker 6: of my greatest blessings was marrying Marjorie. I wouldn't even
- 6:24Speaker 6: have married Marjorie if I was waiting on the perfect time,
- 6:28Speaker 6: because I had gone through what I thought was enough
- 6:33Speaker 6: misery to cover my entire lifetime. And so when I
- 6:38Speaker 6: was first divorced, I just said, man, it's gonna be
- 6:43Speaker 6: five six years before I do this again. I said it.
- 6:49Speaker 6: Two years later I was married. But guess what, man,
- 6:54Speaker 6: it wasn't the perfect time. I didn't have my ducks,
- 6:58Speaker 6: all my ducks lined up in It was still some
- 7:01Speaker 6: things I needed to clean up. I even told her,
- 7:04Speaker 6: it's some things I want to clean up out of
- 7:06Speaker 6: my life before you know it's it's I want I
- 7:10Speaker 6: want to make sure I got all the stars that
- 7:13Speaker 6: lined up, you know, I want to I want to
- 7:14Speaker 6: wait until all the ducks are in a row. I
- 7:16Speaker 6: was waiting on the perfect time. And if I had
- 7:21Speaker 6: not stopped, and Marjorie and I had set out and
- 7:24Speaker 6: said to each other, there'll be no perfect time. And
- 7:30Speaker 6: then she said, I'll go through with you whatever you're
- 7:32Speaker 6: going through.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That was it.
- 7:36Speaker 6: I took a chance. The ducks were not lined up
- 7:41Speaker 6: in a row. I had a lot of baggage in
- 7:44Speaker 6: my life, man, I wanted to try to clear up.
- 7:46Speaker 6: I wanted to do some things financially different. I wanted
- 7:50Speaker 6: to just get rid of some residue I had in
- 7:52Speaker 6: my life. She said, no, we'll do it together, because
- 7:57Speaker 6: it ain't no perfect time. And guess what it was.
- 8:00Speaker 6: So if you're out there waiting on the perfect time
- 8:03Speaker 6: to do something, it may not come. There is no
- 8:07Speaker 6: such thing as waiting on the perfect time. I've said
- 8:10Speaker 6: this one hundred times, and here comes one oh one.
- 8:13Speaker 6: The road to success is always under construction. You ain't
- 8:17Speaker 6: finna go out there and there ain't no barrels on
- 8:19Speaker 6: the road. You're not going out there and not running
- 8:21Speaker 6: to detours signs. You're not going out there without seeing
- 8:24Speaker 6: the me and working sign to get off.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You're not going out there to see it.
- 8:29Speaker 6: So guess what, stop waiting on the stars are gonna Man,
- 8:32Speaker 6: this is the perfect time to do it now. If
- 8:35Speaker 6: you're waiting on the perfect time, that could be one.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Of your biggest problems. You're still waiting.
- 8:41Speaker 6: You have got to move and you've got to move
- 8:43Speaker 6: on it, and you've got to make a decision to
- 8:45Speaker 6: go now. God will get you through everything necessary for
- 8:50Speaker 6: you to get through. But you can't quit though. See
- 8:54Speaker 6: there's a part. You can't quit just because the road
- 8:57Speaker 6: you're on is under construction. You can't get off at
- 9:00Speaker 6: the exit because you're tired of all the bump of
- 9:02Speaker 6: the bumper traffic.
- 9:04Speaker 1: It's that way.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Get you some God, like I said, get you some God,
- 9:10Speaker 6: and go on and go see what your life can
- 9:12Speaker 6: be like. So stop waiting on the perfect time, stop
- 9:15Speaker 6: waiting on the stars to align themselves. You got to
- 9:18Speaker 6: move and you got to move on it. Get you
- 9:22Speaker 6: some God, apply some faith, and get started. And remember
- 9:25Speaker 6: when you get out there, coming towards your goal, the
- 9:28Speaker 6: road to construct, the road to success is always under construction.
- 9:32Speaker 6: If it was easy, everybody would be it. Stop expecting
- 9:35Speaker 6: it to be easy. Come on out here, get up
- 9:37Speaker 6: in this thing. It's funky out here. Yeah I got
- 9:40Speaker 6: all that. It's hard out here, yeah I got all that.
- 9:43Speaker 6: But what you want to do, man, huh, what you
- 9:45Speaker 6: want to do? You're gonna push your chips up to
- 9:48Speaker 6: the window. It ain't time for that. You still got time,
- 9:51Speaker 6: you still got a chance. There's always hope, there's always God.
- 9:55Speaker 6: That's my conversation today.

- 15:46Speaker 10: go going to Sandra, going to home. Sandra.
- 15:54Speaker 11: Sondra is his ex wife. I am his current wife.
- 15:58Speaker 11: So you're telling me that he orders a car for
- 16:02Speaker 11: her for Christmas.
- 16:04Speaker 10: Uh? This car here is things been paid in full.
- 16:07Speaker 11: He bought her a car.
- 16:09Speaker 10: Are you saying there's no Sondra there. Man, what's you
- 16:11Speaker 10: telling me?
- 16:12Speaker 11: I am telling you that it sounds to me if
- 16:15Speaker 11: he bought a car for his ex wife. That's how said.
- 16:18Speaker 11: And you said, this is Sondra, Sondra. What's that address
- 16:21Speaker 11: you didn't give me that? Give me that address one
- 16:23Speaker 11: more time.
- 16:23Speaker 10: Okay, wait wait wait wait wait, wait wait a minute.
- 16:26Speaker 10: I'll tell you what. Let me try to call this
- 16:29Speaker 10: other numbers. I'll do that.
- 16:32Speaker 11: No, don't call any other that. What I need you
- 16:34Speaker 11: to do is bring the car to my house. I'm
- 16:37Speaker 11: gonna fix this. He bought her a car. You bring
- 16:39Speaker 11: the car to my house and I'm gonna handle it
- 16:42Speaker 11: from here.
- 16:43Speaker 10: Well, ma'am, i'm supposed to take this over the off
- 16:45Speaker 10: of Timberlake. I'm supposed to take it out there.
- 16:47Speaker 11: Man, if Timer Lake, you're gonna bring that to my
- 16:48Speaker 11: house and we gonna deal with it. Wikey, I'm gonna
- 16:51Speaker 11: get Charles on the phone.
- 16:52Speaker 12: We're gonna get so.
- 16:53Speaker 11: Up here and we gonna handle this right now. So
- 16:55Speaker 11: you bring the call over here. What's your name.
- 16:58Speaker 10: I'm Pumkins, ma'am. I'm just a car. I'm just got
- 17:01Speaker 10: I delivered these vehicles all all day long.
- 17:04Speaker 11: Then you gonna go ahead and deliver it right over here.
- 17:06Speaker 11: Bring it over to my house. Now, I'm gonna call her,
- 17:10Speaker 11: get her over here. I'm gonna get him. But we're
- 17:11Speaker 11: gonna see white hell he does about her a car?
- 17:15Speaker 10: Okay, Well, I mean, I don't mean arm is any
- 17:17Speaker 10: possibility that maybe she just she deserves it and he
- 17:19Speaker 10: wanted to give it.
- 17:20Speaker 11: To it because she's the ex wife? Did you miss
- 17:24Speaker 11: the point that I say, I'm his current wife. If
- 17:26Speaker 11: he's gonna be buying any type of car, the car
- 17:29Speaker 11: should have been for me. It shouldn't be for her.
- 17:32Speaker 11: I'm the one cooking, cleaning iron and all this kind
- 17:35Speaker 11: of stuff.
- 17:35Speaker 5: But he's gonna buy high car.
- 17:38Speaker 8: Wait, wait a minute, what time will you be here
- 17:42Speaker 8: with the car?
- 17:43Speaker 10: Well, I got mamo behind dress. I got I'm supposed
- 17:46Speaker 10: to let deliver it off of West Temberlake. I'm not
- 17:48Speaker 10: supposed to come nowhere else.
- 17:49Speaker 11: That's to Western Bank. You're gonna bring it to my house.
- 17:52Speaker 11: That's what you're gonna do. You're gonna bring that car.
- 17:54Speaker 11: It's it's but you're gonna bring it to my house.
- 17:57Speaker 11: And that's where it's gonna be delivered to. I'm gonna
- 17:59Speaker 11: fix it.
- 18:01Speaker 8: You know what, ma'am.
- 18:02Speaker 10: Madam, I want to pretty much stay out of this thing.
- 18:04Speaker 10: All I want to do is deliver this thing off
- 18:06Speaker 10: Temper Lake.
- 18:07Speaker 12: I think I think I created a.
- 18:08Speaker 10: Problem that that probably wasn't even gonna be a problem.
- 18:11Speaker 11: You already up. I just I need to know a
- 18:13Speaker 11: couple of Thames way. When did he body car? He
- 18:15Speaker 11: told me? When that's what he told me when didybody
- 18:19Speaker 11: the car?
- 18:19Speaker 10: This car was purchased about but right at a month ago,
- 18:22Speaker 10: but it just got delivered in last night.
- 18:25Speaker 11: Also was a special quarter cart.
- 18:27Speaker 10: Okay, well, I mean it's five fifty. It's the biggest
- 18:31Speaker 10: shuv they got.
- 18:32Speaker 11: Okay, issues it?
- 18:33Speaker 8: Okay?
- 18:34Speaker 10: Uh uh?
- 18:34Speaker 11: Now wait when he came in? Did you did you
- 18:36Speaker 11: see him when he came in the back call with
- 18:37Speaker 11: you with somebody?
- 18:38Speaker 8: Was you?
- 18:38Speaker 10: Ma'am?
- 18:39Speaker 6: I don't.
- 18:39Speaker 10: I don't work inside inside the dealship, ma'am. I just
- 18:42Speaker 10: drive the cars and deliver them.
- 18:44Speaker 1: How much?
- 18:45Speaker 12: How much is the car?
- 18:45Speaker 11: How much was a car right here on the sisters.
- 18:50Speaker 10: Ninety eight, right at right at ninety nine thousand dollars
- 18:53Speaker 10: ninety eight. I don't know how have you charged it
- 18:59Speaker 10: or whatever, but it's what you said it was paid
- 19:02Speaker 10: him for.
- 19:03Speaker 11: So you mean to tell me this fool that bought
- 19:06Speaker 11: a car for his ex wife and paid him full
- 19:09Speaker 11: of thousand dollars back. I mean, I really want you
- 19:12Speaker 11: to try to explain that, tommu.
- 19:13Speaker 12: Is that what you're saying, ma'am?
- 19:14Speaker 10: You you asking me to explain some stuff that seems
- 19:17Speaker 10: like he needs to be explaining. Tell you.
- 19:21Speaker 11: It's to have the information that I need. You know,
- 19:23Speaker 11: I'm trying to see this out right here because when
- 19:25Speaker 11: he gets home its own and popping up and here.
- 19:29Speaker 10: Okay, now what's this right here? This is the You've
- 19:33Speaker 10: got a personalized license plate?

- 23:43Speaker 6: your sister house, so she broke up with you.
- 23:45Speaker 1: You got the wrong chick though. Next question Shirley all Right.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Moving on. Tara in South Haven, Mississippi, says, I gave
- 23:54Speaker 5: my husband a Hall pass because I had two surgeries

- 24:00Speaker 5: while I was healing.
- 24:02Speaker 1: That was a year ago.
- 24:04Speaker 5: My best friend found out in the streets about his fling,
- 24:07Speaker 5: and without talking to me first, she confronted my husband
- 24:10Speaker 5: and tried to fight him. I don't want her in
- 24:13Speaker 5: my personal business, but she's in it now, and how
- 24:16Speaker 5: should I explain this to her?
- 24:18Speaker 6: See, I tell y'all all the time, when you see
- 24:22Speaker 6: a man somewhere, you find out something about a man
- 24:25Speaker 6: that ain't your business. Now, she'd have confronted this man
- 24:28Speaker 6: about fooling around on her girlfriend when her girlfriend and
- 24:32Speaker 6: gave him a Hall pass.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Because he was so kind to her did surgery.
- 24:37Speaker 6: If you could get a Hall pass for kindness doing surgery,
- 24:41Speaker 6: gear men passes, I'd have given times I been kind
- 24:47Speaker 6: and better not going here talking about no damn Hall pass.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Okay, better not bring it up, every lady. Why do
- 24:56Speaker 1: you pass our hall passes for kindness?
- 24:59Speaker 10: What is?
- 25:01Speaker 1: Oh you were kind to me, you get a hall path?

- 25:15Speaker 6: you should say to her except this is not your business,
- 25:19Speaker 6: but she in it. Now do you want to tell
- 25:22Speaker 6: her how stupid you were by awarding him a hall pass?
- 25:25Speaker 6: That you said it was okay? And I'm gonna tell
- 25:28Speaker 6: you something else. She ain't keeping it to herself. She's
- 25:31Speaker 6: telling other people. And your husband didn't have.
- 25:35Speaker 1: To watch his step because his wife gave him permission. Yep. Facts.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not your business. It's not her business anyway.
- 25:45Speaker 6: It's not her business, but it ain't no woman's business.
- 25:48Speaker 6: But y'all always make it y'alls because she my girl.
- 25:51Speaker 6: Because I would want to.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Know, well, now here you go. Now, I'll tell you what.
- 25:56Speaker 6: Let's let the women tell him what to do, because
- 25:58Speaker 6: y'all always talking about I would to know. I would
- 26:00Speaker 6: tell her, well, now she's trying to whoop her husband's

- 26:09Speaker 5: to God, I wouldn't.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Do a thing. This is that business is a bold face.
- 26:13Speaker 5: No, it's not in this particular situation. I wouldn't do anything.
- 26:17Speaker 5: I don't know what's going on in their house.
- 26:19Speaker 9: Mm hmm.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Okay, Carlin, what would you do? Tell them try to
- 26:24Speaker 1: fight the husband? Carla my best friend, my best friend. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:37Speaker 1: so Shirley, Shirley, you wouldn't tell your girlfriend.
- 26:39Speaker 8: I would.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'm not in this. I'm really not in this.
- 26:42Speaker 8: I'm not in this.
- 26:43Speaker 6: So if your husband this happened, but your husband wouldn't
- 26:47Speaker 6: want to know from.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Your girlfriend, No, I would kill him. But I'm asking
- 26:52Speaker 1: you if I found out, do you want your girlfriend
- 26:54Speaker 1: to tell you?
- 26:55Speaker 13: No?
- 26:55Speaker 6: Uh uh, that's the contrary to everything you've ever said
- 26:59Speaker 6: in every Strawberry.
- 27:01Speaker 1: People want to know.
- 27:02Speaker 5: There's no changing on this ship.

- 27:26Speaker 5: her husband cheating, you ain't gonna say nothing.
- 27:30Speaker 8: What.
- 27:31Speaker 6: I ain't mad at the answer. I like Chirley's answer,
- 27:34Speaker 6: but that's not what she's ever said.
- 27:37Speaker 13: And I've always said that I would say something just
- 27:41Speaker 13: like I just said, I'd probably be all in it.
- 27:46Speaker 5: I'm not in in this one with a hap.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Well but yeah, surely, But Shirley, you don't know about
- 27:52Speaker 1: the hall past all.
- 27:53Speaker 8: You know that.
- 27:55Speaker 1: But I'm just not in anybody else's relationship. I don't
- 27:59Speaker 1: have time for nobody.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Yes, I don't have done.
- 28:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I saw my partner's girl somewhere in a little

- 28:08Speaker 6: this said, Well, you know, isn't it a weird you know,
- 28:14Speaker 6: it looked like something was going on. But I could,
- 28:18Speaker 6: but I already knew if I went to tell him
- 28:20Speaker 6: that he was going to jail. I already knew that
- 28:22Speaker 6: if I tell this food.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Case, like I said, it depends on who it is.

- 28:42Speaker 5: habit of sending several women a good morning text before
- 28:45Speaker 5: he starts his day. He does it freely and doesn't
- 28:48Speaker 5: think it's a problem. I think it's the first step
- 28:51Speaker 5: in cheating and I'm jealous? Am I overthinking it? Or
- 28:54Speaker 5: is this cheating? Come on?
- 28:57Speaker 1: I just wor what are y'all doing nowadays?

- 56:17Speaker 1: what you here.
- 56:17Speaker 5: It is Strawberry Letter. Subject my wife made sure my
- 56:22Speaker 5: son hates me. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm going to jump
- 56:27Speaker 5: right on end. I cheated on my wife two years
- 56:30Speaker 5: ago with a woman that constantly threatened to call my
- 56:34Speaker 5: wife when she didn't get what she wanted. This one
- 56:37Speaker 5: on two years until I ran out of money and
- 56:40Speaker 5: decided to end the affair. This woman called my wife
- 56:44Speaker 5: a few days later. I was out cutting the yard
- 56:47Speaker 5: when my wife when when she called my house and
- 56:50Speaker 5: my wife answered, I walked in and my wife was
- 56:53Speaker 5: on the speakerphone listening to my side chick, with my
- 56:57Speaker 5: son sitting there listening to every everything. He was twelve
- 57:01Speaker 5: years old at the time, and I made him leave
- 57:04Speaker 5: the room, but he had already heard enough. My relationship
- 57:08Speaker 5: with him was ruined after that day. My home life
- 57:11Speaker 5: was terrible too, so I moved out. After my wife's
- 57:15Speaker 5: served me with divorce papers. We are in the process
- 57:19Speaker 5: of discussing who will get custody of our son, and
- 57:22Speaker 5: I haven't seen him in months. His mother has brainwatched
- 57:26Speaker 5: him to think I'm a no good cheater and liar.
- 57:29Speaker 5: She has him in the middle of grown folks business,
- 57:32Speaker 5: and when we talk, she's always on speakerphone so my
- 57:35Speaker 5: son can hear all of the conversation. She sends me
- 57:38Speaker 5: text messages with our son on the text thread, and
- 57:41Speaker 5: she's usually calling me names and cursing me out. She's
- 57:45Speaker 5: brought up all kinds of things that have happened in
- 57:48Speaker 5: our marriage, and my son doesn't need to know all
- 57:50Speaker 5: of that. I'm dying to see him, so I sent
- 57:53Speaker 5: him a text asking him to have dinner with me
- 57:56Speaker 5: one day. Soon he sent me the most disrespectful reply
- 58:02Speaker 5: a child could send a father. I wanted to go
- 58:05Speaker 5: snatch him up real quick, but I can't. This is
- 58:08Speaker 5: not the boy I raised. He needs his father back
- 58:11Speaker 5: in his life. How can I reverse all of this brainwashing?
- 58:15Speaker 5: Please advise?
- 58:17Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if you're going to be able
- 58:19Speaker 1: to do that. And I have to say this.
- 58:20Speaker 5: Everything in this letter is just terrible. Everything in this letter,
- 58:24Speaker 5: I mean, you cheat it for the lamest excuse ever.
- 58:29Speaker 5: I mean, in the history of cheating. Just say you
- 58:31Speaker 5: cheated or wanted to cheat. Cheating because this woman was
- 58:34Speaker 5: gonna call your wife if you didn't cheat with her
- 58:37Speaker 5: is about the stupidest thing ever, I mean.
- 58:40Speaker 1: And then you cheated with her.
- 58:41Speaker 5: For two years.
- 58:44Speaker 1: She scared you for two years. Okay, that's just dumb.
- 58:49Speaker 5: You know you should have told your wife about the
- 58:52Speaker 5: threats when they started, and then call the woman's bluff
- 58:55Speaker 5: and not cheat it since she ended up calling your
- 58:57Speaker 5: wife anyway, you know. I Also, this is what I
- 59:02Speaker 5: don't hear in this letter. I don't hear any remorse
- 59:04Speaker 5: from you. I hear no remorse from you about what
- 59:07Speaker 5: she did. I mean, did you.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Try to fix it, did you try to apologize? Did
- 59:11Speaker 1: you try anything?
- 59:12Speaker 5: Anything. I mean, And of course your wife wanted to
- 59:16Speaker 5: hurt you, and she knows your son is a way
- 59:19Speaker 5: to get at you.
- 59:20Speaker 1: I mean, what she did is beyond wrong. What she
- 59:23Speaker 1: did is beyond wrong.
- 59:25Speaker 5: There's no way your son should have been in the middle,
- 59:28Speaker 5: as you say, grown folks business.
- 59:30Speaker 1: If she needed an ally, she could have talked to
- 59:32Speaker 1: another adult.
- 59:33Speaker 5: You know, she tainted the boy now, made herself look
- 59:37Speaker 5: like a victim, and yeah, made you hate him, made
- 59:41Speaker 5: your son hate you and disrespect you. I'm not blaming
- 59:45Speaker 5: your wife. I'm not blaming her for anything. This is
- 59:47Speaker 5: your fault.
- 59:49Speaker 9: This is you.
- 59:50Speaker 5: And of course your son doesn't want to see his
- 59:52Speaker 5: mom hurt and going through because of you. People get
- 59:56Speaker 5: divorced every day and parents do get joint custody of
- 59:59Speaker 5: a kid. So hopefully during the divorce that'll work itself out.
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: But yeah, you, sir, created all of this because of
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: your cheating. Now the family's broken. But you got to
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: get to your son some kind of way. You gotta
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: apologize to him. You gotta do something. You got to
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: talk to your son and not say anything bad about
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: his mom like you tried to, you know, allude to
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: in the letter. None of that I don't agree with
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: anything she's done either. And your son is already damaged
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: by what she did, you know, letting him hear everything.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: So you got to get to a counselor you got
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: to talk to him, a therapist, a pastor, Jesus, someone
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: to heal this relationship. Hopefully, like I said, the divorce,
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: when you get that, when you get custody, you know,
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: he can begin to understand that you do love him.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Boom, Steve.
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: See, I don't think this is a letter at all
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: about reconciliation. I don't think it is at all. The
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: man came right on when he said, I'm gonna just
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: jump right on it. I cheated on my wife two
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: years ago. He already noticed his fault.
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: He hit that.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: I'm just saying, he know this is his fault with
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: the woman who constantly threatened to call my wife when
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: she didn't get what she wanted. See, now that's not
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: a threat. If you don't stay with me, I'm gonna
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: call your wife. It could be anything she wanted, because
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: he said, like he was buying her stuff, getting her stuff,
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: probably helping her, you know, with the bills and all
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: this hit and when she don't give something she won't
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: her way or him to come over at a certain time,
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: then I'm gonna threaten to call your wife. This went
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: on for two years, and this is the killer part,
- 1:01:45Speaker 6: he says, until I read out of money and decided
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: to end the affair. See, this affair was based around
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: the money he was giving the mistress. So when the
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: mistress couldn't get what she won't and with threat, i'll
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: need this, you need to buy me that.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: This shit threatened to call the wife. He kept it
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: going for two years.
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: He liked the little sideline stuff, but it was costing
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: him too much, so then he decided to end the affair.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: What was should he didn't have to do any of this.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I'm just he was cheating with the woman.
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: He was buying the stuff she wanted more when he
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: didn't have the money to give or once she threatened
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: to call him.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: He tried to keep it until he ran out of money.
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: I said, what is that, We'll come back with pertue
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: of your response. Girl at twenty three minutes after you
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: me got.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Trog and straightened her, let her and her out come
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: on back.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: You straightened him out.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: He needs to sing you out.
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: My ex wife made sure my son hates me is
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: the subject will be back right after this.

- 1:03:23Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: Let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject my ex wife
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: made my son hate me?
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: All right, man writes a letter that said he gonna
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: jump right on it. She did on his wife two
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: years ago. He admitted that he know he wrong with
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: the woman that constantly threatened to call my wife when
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: she didn't get what she wanted. That could be I
- 1:03:44Speaker 6: want you to come over now. That could be I
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: want a new dress. That could be I want you
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: to fix my car. That could be I need help
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: with these bills. It could be anything she wanted but
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: she would threaten to call a wife. Now, he tried
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: to keep it up, and he said. This went on
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: for two years until I ran out of money. And
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: I said, man, now I got to end this affair
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: because that affair he was in, it might have been sexual,
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: but it was tied to money.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Sugar. Daddy ran out of sugar. He just daddy now,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: So that's what happened.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: I was out cutting the yard when she called my
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: house and my wife's answered walked in white from the
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: speaker phone, listening to my side.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Chick, he know he's wrong.
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: My son was sitting there listening to everything. He was
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: twelve years old at the time, and I made him
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: leave the room, but he had already heard enough. My
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: relationship with him was ruined after that day. My home
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: life was terrible too, so I moved out after my
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: wife served me with divorce payments.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: So this isn't about a reconciliation. It's over. He caused it.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: His fault. Fam hit the problem.
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: We are in the process of discussion who will get
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: custody of our sons? Dog, you not getting custody. You
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: can get joint custody. You know you might get knocked
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: down to visitation. But you're not getting cussed. You can
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: stop this argument right now. I haven't seen him in months.
- 1:05:11Speaker 6: His mother has brainwashed him to think I'm a no
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: good cheetah and liar. She has him in the middle
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: of grown folks business, and when we talk, she's always
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: on speakerphone, so my son can hear all of the conversation.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Sureley and I both agree she's wrong for this.
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: I'm gonna tell you yet to head sends me text
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: messages with our son on the text thread. Oh she wrong, man,
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: But I'm gonna tell you why she's doing this too,
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: calling your names and cussing me out. She's brought up
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: all kinds of things that happened and I marriage my
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: son don't need it and all that. I'm dying to
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: see him. So when I send him a text ask
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: him to have dinner with me one day soon, he
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: sent me the most disrespectful reply a child could send
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: a father. I want to go snatch him up real quick,
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: but I can't. This is not the boy I raise.
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: He needs his father back in his life. How can
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: I reverse all the brain washing Keyser's eye. Well, see,
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: here's the deal. She has accomplished.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: What she wanted to do. But here's the problem. She won,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: but he lost. Not you have lost. Her son has lost.
- 1:06:19Speaker 6: Because see, not only does she not have a husband,
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: but now she got her son thinking he ain't got
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: a father. And it don't have to be because here's
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: my opinion in this whole thing. When your husband doesn't
- 1:06:35Speaker 6: prove to be a great husband, it doesn't mean that
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: he's not a good father.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: Those are two different roles.
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: Completely, And when I say that, I'm meaning that the
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: two roles can be separated and each can be performed
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: extremely well.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: You can be a great husband and never have any children.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: You can be a great father, but you don't necessarily
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: make you a great husband.
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: So the man is not a great husban got that,
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: But that don't mean he ain't a great father. But
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: as a scorn woman or man, tying the two together
- 1:07:19Speaker 6: only hurts the child.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: The child is crushed. Oh you whipping the father's behind us.
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: But do you know that you know in the long
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: run that man is still a man no matter what
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: you say about him. But you are hindering your son's
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: development into man, because the one person that can teach
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: him how to be a man, you've discredited.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Him because he wasn't a good husband. See, y'all just
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: wasn't it for each other.
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: For whatever the reason was, he wrong for cheating one
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: hundred percent, one hundred percent. But because he's not a
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: good husband, don't make him not a good father. So
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: now you've brainwashed and hating his own.
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: Father and you win.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: But guess what your child loses. Y'all got to stop that.
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: This dog.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: If you are out there, you have to stop that.
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: If you're in the process of using your child as
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: a pond and your divorce or your relationship, you have
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: to stop that.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: I am speaking from experience. You have to stop that.
- 1:08:26Speaker 6: It's not for you to do this to this boy,
- 1:08:30Speaker 6: because I have news for you. One day, this boy's
- 1:08:33Speaker 6: gonna grow up and he gonna know the truth. And
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: as this boy grows up, this boy is gonna make
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: mistakes of his own and he's gonna start to understand
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: the mistakes happen in life.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: But because he wasn't a great husband to you, don't.
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: Mean that he wasn't a great father to this boy.
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: And you're doing nothing but damaging the boy. And they
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: tell you all the time. Listen, I don't let my
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: children hear me say, say nothing about their mother's dispatage nothing.
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: Oh I could, but I don't now them. On the
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: other hand, oh, they done me, done me like like
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: a damn book. Well guess what. At the end, the
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: truth comes out hanging there. I support the man in this.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Matter, that support the child.
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: All right, Well, wow, okay, Well we'll continue this conversation
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: when we come back.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: My ex wife made sure my son hates me.
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: Steve and I agree on that that that is definitely wrong,
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: and we have some personal experiences to talk about when
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: we come back.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: We all do right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:09:47Speaker 9: Holidays are here, and it's essential to recognize that personal
- 1:09:50Speaker 9: safety is a year round priority. It's mine and why

- 1:10:14Speaker 5: That's b y r NAD dot com. All right, Steve,
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: this this strawberry letter was was interesting. My ex wife
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: made sure my son hates me, you know, I mean,
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: we can relate to it. We can relate to it.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: We've both been divorced on the show. You know, full disclosure.
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: My first marriage didn't go well, didn't end well, but
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: we had a beautiful child out of that relationship. And
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: you know, I'm not ashamed to admit that I was
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: very bitter. I was very, very bitter when we broke up.
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: You know, you get to a dark place sometimes you're angry,
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: you're bitter.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: And you know, I was on the radio.
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: I was on the radio in LA. A lot of
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: people who listened during that time probably well hopefully they
- 1:11:02Speaker 5: don't remember.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: It was so long ago, but yeah, I used to
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: bad man. I used to really bat moth.
- 1:11:08Speaker 5: My ex husband on the air constantly, because you know,
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: something would happen that it would remind me or you know,
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: trigger me or something like that, and I just go in,
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: you know, or say one thing he had, call him
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: a deadbeat dad or whatever whatever, and just not a
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: good look.
- 1:11:27Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: So when you look back, you look back from now,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: what do you think.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: Oh, it was horrible. I mean I had to stop myself.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: You know, you grow, you change, people change, they do.
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: I had to forgive him that. It started with that forgiveness,
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: because forgiveness is not for the other person. We talk
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: about that a lot on this show. Forgiveness is for you.
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: Once I forgave him, then I could start to heal.
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: And I stopped, and I apologized on the air. I
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: apologized to him for saying that because we had a child,
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: I never wanted her to grow up. And you know
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: have people saying, well, your mom used to do this
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: talk about your I never wanted.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: That, so you know mine they feel that way. You
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: wouldn't do that.
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: You're too much of a gentleman.
- 1:12:14Speaker 10: To do that.
- 1:12:15Speaker 6: Well, I would never talk about my sons and daughter's
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: muggs in a disparaging way publicly.
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: I would never do that.
- 1:12:25Speaker 10: You know.
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: I had my comments on whil in my own personal
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: life because I'm human, but never on the air.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Because I taught my sons. I raised my sons to.
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: Honor their mothers like I was raised to honor mind
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: and to defend her at all costs. I can't they
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: can't see me talking about it. Then I asked them
- 1:12:45Speaker 6: not to honor them, but you know my Yeah, but
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: my ex went on a complete and total smear campaign
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: out of out of her anger and scoring for years.

- 1:18:30Speaker 5: of eighty eight thousand adults over six years found a
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: correlation between bedtime and heart disease. The data is showing
- 1:18:37Speaker 5: that those who went to sleep after eleven PM had
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: a twenty five percent higher risk of cardio cardiovascular disease,
- 1:18:46Speaker 5: and those who dozed off before ten pm were at
- 1:18:50Speaker 5: a twenty four percent higher risk. That led researchers to
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: conclude that the ideal bedtime is between ten and eleven PM.
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: The study also found that the risk is higher for
- 1:19:02Speaker 5: women after eleven PM and higher for men before ten pm.
