- 0:13Speaker 1: them like theming bu things and it's not me true
- 0:20Speaker 1: good Stehen to mother ste don't join jo. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turn out. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn them out to turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your thing. Uh huh, I show will
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on,
- 2:08Speaker 1: dig me now on it only Steve Harley got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show man. Instead of trying to be about the business.
- 2:14Speaker 1: To y'all, I'm I'm I'm doing all I can. But
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know what's crazy in the efforts that I make.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I can do more. You know, my father used to
- 2:27Speaker 1: tell me something when I was growing up. He says, son,
- 2:31Speaker 1: when you've done your best, and you've done all you can,
- 2:38Speaker 1: sit still for a second and just do a little
- 2:41Speaker 1: bit more. Always remember that, he said. When you've done
- 2:45Speaker 1: the best you can and you can done all you
- 2:48Speaker 1: can think of, he say, sit still for a minute
- 2:51Speaker 1: and do some more. And you know what I've discovered
- 2:54Speaker 1: in my life, always have a little more. I ain't
- 2:57Speaker 1: ever just out out out come. Please, I can't take
- 3:01Speaker 1: another step. There ain't another breath in me, There ain't
- 3:04Speaker 1: there ain't another thought I can produce. I'm never completely out, man.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Just take a rest for a minute, man, and then
- 3:13Speaker 1: just do a little bit more and that that. I
- 3:16Speaker 1: can't tell you how many times that's helped me get
- 3:19Speaker 1: over the top. You know. I was watching a documentary
- 3:23Speaker 1: about people climbing Mount Everest and how difficult climbing Mount
- 3:27Speaker 1: Everest was, and how they have on the hill something
- 3:32Speaker 1: called like a death zone or killing zone, where the
- 3:35Speaker 1: majority of people run out of oxygen and they have
- 3:37Speaker 1: to turn back. Well, what's crazy is it's right in
- 3:43Speaker 1: view of the summit. You can actually see the top
- 3:46Speaker 1: of Mount Everest from there. But it's but it's that
- 3:50Speaker 1: little bit that's left that's this most difficult. Now that
- 3:54Speaker 1: I forgot all the reasons why they said most people
- 3:56Speaker 1: don't make it from there, and more people have lost
- 3:59Speaker 1: their lives in that area. I don't know what it is,
- 4:02Speaker 1: but the people that make it to the top of
- 4:06Speaker 1: Mount efforts, they all had to go through that same
- 4:10Speaker 1: zone or that same area, but they had a little
- 4:14Speaker 1: bit more that allowed them to get to the top.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You know a lot of people have had accidents up
- 4:20Speaker 1: there trying that, so I'm not even really sure if
- 4:22Speaker 1: Mount Everest analogy is a good one. But let's just
- 4:27Speaker 1: break it down a little bit more. Let's just talk
- 4:29Speaker 1: about life. There's a poem I learned back when a
- 4:34Speaker 1: host pledge in. It's called don't Quit. It goes like this,
- 4:38Speaker 1: If I make a mistake, I'm just trying to drum
- 4:40Speaker 1: it up, So here we go. It says, when things
- 4:42Speaker 1: go wrong, as they sometimes will, when the road you're
- 4:46Speaker 1: trudging seems all uphill, when your funds are low and
- 4:50Speaker 1: your debts are high, when you want to smile, but
- 4:54Speaker 1: you have to side when cares are pressing you down
- 4:58Speaker 1: a bit, rest if you must, But don't quit, for
- 5:03Speaker 1: life is queer with its twist and turns, as every
- 5:06Speaker 1: one of us must sometimes learn. And many a fellow
- 5:10Speaker 1: has turned about when he might have won had he
- 5:14Speaker 1: stuck it out. So don't give up. Though the pace
- 5:18Speaker 1: seems slow, you may succeed with another blow. Often the
- 5:23Speaker 1: gold is nearer than it seems to a faint and
- 5:27Speaker 1: a faltering man. And often the struggler has given up
- 5:32Speaker 1: when he might have captured the Victor's cup, and he
- 5:35Speaker 1: learns too late, when the night came down, how close
- 5:39Speaker 1: he was to the golden crown. Success is failure turned
- 5:45Speaker 1: inside out. It's your silver tint of your clouds of doubt,
- 5:50Speaker 1: and you never can tell how close you are. It
- 5:54Speaker 1: may be kneel when it seems afar, so stick to
- 5:58Speaker 1: the fight when your hardest hit. It's when things seem
- 6:03Speaker 1: worse that you mustn't quit. I remember it because I
- 6:07Speaker 1: had a special method of helping you remember stuff back then.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But I remembered it at that point. My dad has
- 6:14Speaker 1: kept me. You know, we often talk about scripture and everything,
- 6:18Speaker 1: and then I don't see how I could live without it.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But every now and then, man, somebody has a writing.
- 6:24Speaker 1: God puts a writing on somebody's heart that delivers a
- 6:27Speaker 1: message man that can help people. I use every motivational
- 6:30Speaker 1: tool that I possibly can to climb this letter of
- 6:34Speaker 1: success or try to be the best fall and the
- 6:36Speaker 1: best husband I can be. I've done a lot of
- 6:38Speaker 1: changing over the years, and so have you. But change
- 6:41Speaker 1: is necessary in order to grow. If you don't make changes, folks,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you can't grow. I was a young man on my set.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I kept looking at him and a sharp little young
- 6:51Speaker 1: dude just on my set, and he had these dreads
- 6:57Speaker 1: and I mean they were they were super man. They
- 7:00Speaker 1: will well below the middle of his back, I mean
- 7:03Speaker 1: images long. And he kept talking to him me, and
- 7:06Speaker 1: he kept talking to me and talking to me. So
- 7:08Speaker 1: your man kept talking to him. And I said, hey, man,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know you do you're huge self a favor in
- 7:13Speaker 1: the business you're in. If you got a haircut, you
- 7:16Speaker 1: would do yourself a huge favor. I said, your images everything, man,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I said, you keep stopping me in the hallway to
- 7:21Speaker 1: try to tell me what you're doing, what you are,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but all I see is your hair. Now, I keep
- 7:26Speaker 1: trying to figure out what you're doing with all that hair. Man,
- 7:29Speaker 1: Now you can feel how you want to feel. But
- 7:31Speaker 1: I'm like an employer. I employed people. So when I'm
- 7:36Speaker 1: walking through the hallway and I try to think of
- 7:38Speaker 1: you traveling with me and you sitting in a meeting
- 7:40Speaker 1: with me, I try to imagine you in your suit
- 7:43Speaker 1: sitting there talking business with me. And so, just like
- 7:46Speaker 1: other employers are, I'm just having a real story with you.
- 7:50Speaker 1: So I said, man, you are to consider cutting your hair.
- 7:53Speaker 1: He said, Man, mister Harbor I've been growing his hair
- 7:56Speaker 1: sides a little boy. I said, how hold are you now?
- 7:59Speaker 1: He said twenty eight? I said, well, how long you
- 8:02Speaker 1: want to hang on to what you was when you
- 8:03Speaker 1: was a little boy? You know, if you started growing
- 8:06Speaker 1: your hair when you're a teenager. I mean, you're twenty
- 8:08Speaker 1: eight now. And I said, so, let me help you
- 8:11Speaker 1: understand something. Let me let me ask you something. What
- 8:14Speaker 1: does it do for you? He's a man, it's just
- 8:16Speaker 1: who I am. It's I said, so you your have
- 8:21Speaker 1: He said no, no, But it's a part of me.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I say, that part of you that you're hanging on to.
- 8:27Speaker 1: What does it do for you? I just like it? Well, dog,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I like ice cream, but I fear that. But if
- 8:34Speaker 1: I hang on ice cream and eat ice cream every
- 8:36Speaker 1: single day, my body gonna reflect that. What is it
- 8:41Speaker 1: that you hanging on to that you don't want to
- 8:43Speaker 1: let go of? That's prohibiting you from being what all
- 8:46Speaker 1: you can be? See, it's hard to be what all
- 8:48Speaker 1: you can be if you want to keep being all
- 8:51Speaker 1: you was? Don't that make sense to you? So I
- 8:56Speaker 1: can't tell you how many times I've had to change.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Change is necessary to grow. You can't be all you
- 9:04Speaker 1: can be. If you want to keep hanging on to
- 9:07Speaker 1: all you was, that don't make no sense. How do
- 9:12Speaker 1: you go forward? If you keep going backwards? You can't
- 9:16Speaker 1: stay here and go there. Do you understand that if
- 9:21Speaker 1: you want to go over there, you must remove yourself
- 9:24Speaker 1: from right here? Oh? I got right Here is comfortable,
- 9:29Speaker 1: I got right here is safe. But over there's where
- 9:32Speaker 1: the shade is over. There's where the fruit is. Over
- 9:36Speaker 1: there is where the opportunity is over. There is where
- 9:41Speaker 1: the mountain of goal is. So why are you stuck
- 9:44Speaker 1: on here? You got to leave here to go over there.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You can't be all you can be if you want
- 9:51Speaker 1: to stay stuck on who you was. Change this growth
- 9:54Speaker 1: is necessary. Let's go. You're listening tow ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It's about time for us to strike the match. Light
- 10:07Speaker 1: the fire. Get on up in blaze. This is the
- 10:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Made no mistake about it. Shatstraw Bay,
- 10:19Speaker 1: ain't good morning? Yes it is, baby, Yes it is
- 10:22Speaker 1: Colin for real. Check baby, I am here, Good morning crew,
- 10:27Speaker 1: lady gentleman. The King of Frank's nephew comment, Yeah, you
- 10:30Speaker 1: ain't in the building, baby, I'm here and other than that.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Damn Steve Hardy, you introduced bringing him out, bring him out? Yeah, okay,
- 10:44Speaker 1: I love Yeah, yeah, Hi. Everybody doing to day good good,
- 10:49Speaker 1: committed and dedicated to not having this man returned as
- 10:53Speaker 1: the president of the United States. Were committed. Yeah, I'm
- 10:59Speaker 1: committed to that man. I don't make no damn sense.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I can't do for more years this. I just can't.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Like like your grandma, you say, my nerds is bad
- 11:09Speaker 1: in a marriage. I can't get out. Now, get out,
- 11:14Speaker 1: don't stay in there too long. No, it's right. Ain't
- 11:17Speaker 1: nobody fooling me. I'm woke. Yeah, I know everything is
- 11:23Speaker 1: his fault. And the way we are handling this COVID
- 11:27Speaker 1: nineteen is utterly ridiculous. We are a fourth of the cases,
- 11:33Speaker 1: we are a fourth of the depths, and we are
- 11:35Speaker 1: four percent of the world population. You can't tell me
- 11:40Speaker 1: that ain't got nothing to do with leadership. And I
- 11:42Speaker 1: don't care what he's say, ladies and gentlemen, Just Steve
- 11:44Speaker 1: harpm on to show one more time. Give it to me, give,
- 11:47Speaker 1: give it to me, Give it, ste You got it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: And do you know he held a whole news conference
- 11:52Speaker 1: yesterday and barely barely mentioned COVID nineteen barely. The crux
- 11:57Speaker 1: of it was just talking about Joe Biden. Joe Biden,
- 12:01Speaker 1: Joe Biden. Well, that's because he was upset. Joe Biden
- 12:05Speaker 1: had delivered a speech yesterday and yeah, Wilton, Delaware, and
- 12:09Speaker 1: so he was not to be outdone on campaign in
- 12:13Speaker 1: the world's garden. And that's all that. He only cares
- 12:16Speaker 1: about himself. Yes, be talking about COVID nineteen and what
- 12:20Speaker 1: we're gonna do. And he should. He should be trying
- 12:25Speaker 1: to provide leadership into COVID nineteen. He should be trying
- 12:30Speaker 1: to develop some type of poor and show some type
- 12:34Speaker 1: of empathy towards Black lives matter. His only response to
- 12:39Speaker 1: that is white people get killed by police too. That's
- 12:43Speaker 1: what he told talk about Joe mess All. This is
- 12:48Speaker 1: Joe mess Everything doesn't happen since you've been in there.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Let's talk about that. It's an epic fail an epic
- 12:54Speaker 1: failure his leadership. But he doesn't believe that. And with
- 12:59Speaker 1: everything in him, he's trying to win, he's only caring
- 13:02Speaker 1: about winning this election in November. That's where and total
- 13:06Speaker 1: focus is that party with those conservative values, because he
- 13:12Speaker 1: says he has those values which he has none of,
- 13:18Speaker 1: as convinced them that he does. And he does it.
- 13:23Speaker 1: He just does it. Only values he has is self value.
- 13:28Speaker 1: He has nothing else and win value. All right, listen,
- 13:32Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, our
- 13:34Speaker 1: favorite segment. We're starting to just really really love this
- 13:37Speaker 1: as much as you. Steve, get ready to ask the
- 13:40Speaker 1: CLO right after this. You're listening to the Steve Morning Show,
- 13:46Speaker 1: all right, Steve Clo is so popular now, that's why
- 13:49Speaker 1: we have it right here. Because everybody's talking about your
- 13:52Speaker 1: relationship advice. It is time now for ask the Clo.
- 13:56Speaker 1: This one is from Curtis and South Philly, Curtis Curtis
- 14:01Speaker 1: Curtis is thirty three years old. He says he's been
- 14:03Speaker 1: dating a woman for three years that I have nothing
- 14:06Speaker 1: in common with. I stay with her because her sex
- 14:10Speaker 1: is mesmerizing. She is boring beyond belief, and she is
- 14:14Speaker 1: very quiet unless we're in the bedroom. I can't get
- 14:17Speaker 1: her to dress sexy, wear makeup, or have a glass
- 14:20Speaker 1: of wine with me. But when she's turned on, she's
- 14:23Speaker 1: an entirely different woman. I agree with whatever she says,
- 14:27Speaker 1: so she won't take the sex away. Now she is
- 14:30Speaker 1: asking what's next for us? Meaning marriage? Uncle Steve? Can
- 14:35Speaker 1: a marriage work? If all we have in common is
- 14:38Speaker 1: great sex. I can promise you, y'all can't. I can
- 14:42Speaker 1: promise you with everything in me. It ain't because there's
- 14:47Speaker 1: too many times when you not having sex. It's way
- 14:50Speaker 1: more times when you not. How about just when you sleep?
- 14:53Speaker 1: How about when you at work, when you what about
- 14:55Speaker 1: when y'all down at the bank. What about when y'all
- 14:58Speaker 1: talking to the kids. What about on your way to school?
- 15:01Speaker 1: What about when you're down at happy hour? What about
- 15:03Speaker 1: when you and there having a discussion with your boss?
- 15:06Speaker 1: What about all the other times? What about when you're
- 15:08Speaker 1: playing sports? What about when you just want to watch TV?
- 15:11Speaker 1: Because you know that's gonna happen. You know you're gonna
- 15:13Speaker 1: want to just watch TV sometimes. Sometimes man, you go
- 15:16Speaker 1: get sick. Sometimes man you're just gonna need some friends
- 15:19Speaker 1: to come over and have a good time. Everything that
- 15:21Speaker 1: ain't all that's without sex. You're asking why you was sick.
- 15:26Speaker 1: You ain't. Never think he has bought me through many illnesses,
- 15:31Speaker 1: has cured you don't gonna if I if I just
- 15:36Speaker 1: have some sex, I feel better. Got all of that,
- 15:43Speaker 1: and I understand, brother, but you have nothing in common.
- 15:46Speaker 1: He's not trying to change. She don't want to wear
- 15:48Speaker 1: no makeup, She don't want to do number. She get
- 15:50Speaker 1: in that rack though, showtime, and he says he agrees
- 15:56Speaker 1: with whatever she says, so she won't take it away
- 15:58Speaker 1: all right. See this one's from Jewel in Memphis, Tennessee.
- 16:01Speaker 1: She said, I was supposed to get married in June,
- 16:04Speaker 1: but I call the wedding off. And here's why. My
- 16:07Speaker 1: fiance has four kids by four different women. I have
- 16:11Speaker 1: one child. We were attempting to blend our families, but
- 16:15Speaker 1: he told me I could not reprimand his kids. He
- 16:18Speaker 1: told me that each one of his kids has a
- 16:20Speaker 1: mama and that's their job. But when it comes to
- 16:23Speaker 1: my fourteen year old son, he's very hard on him
- 16:27Speaker 1: and says he is a mama's boy and he acts
- 16:30Speaker 1: too soft. I don't play about my son, and I'm
- 16:33Speaker 1: not about to play with his kids either. Period. He
- 16:37Speaker 1: wants to work things out. Do you think it's possible
- 16:39Speaker 1: to fix this? Well, this is doomed. If that's stand
- 16:42Speaker 1: that both of you are gonna take. If he's saying
- 16:45Speaker 1: you can't reprimand his kids because they got mama's and
- 16:49Speaker 1: you saying he can't reprimand yours he too hard. But
- 16:51Speaker 1: then he calling your boy mama's boy. I mean, where
- 16:54Speaker 1: y'all at? Y'all? So, y'all's marriage is doomed because of
- 16:57Speaker 1: the children, y'all casey out on a very very important different,
- 17:02Speaker 1: a very very important piece of issue. Now let me
- 17:05Speaker 1: say this tea. They gonna be your kids forever. Hello,
- 17:11Speaker 1: So at ease, this stuff don't go away even when
- 17:14Speaker 1: they eighteen? Don't I know that? Now? Have we all
- 17:22Speaker 1: learned that? Yeah? So this is gemmed from the beginning. Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 1: it sounds like she she wanted to blend, but he
- 17:31Speaker 1: was unbendable. Wow, you know, man, and look and you
- 17:34Speaker 1: know your son may be a mama's boy because you
- 17:37Speaker 1: say when it comes to my son, I don't play,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and you probably got him in a mama's boy position
- 17:42Speaker 1: and he recognizes that. But he can't ask you to
- 17:45Speaker 1: have these kids with him, and you can't say nothing
- 17:47Speaker 1: to him. Exactly that's unfair because when they come to
- 17:51Speaker 1: your house, you the queen, right all right? Moving on
- 17:55Speaker 1: Dell in Kansas, Clo says, I'm a twenty five year
- 17:58Speaker 1: old grad student and my aunt let me stay with
- 18:01Speaker 1: her during the quarantine. I moved in in March, and
- 18:04Speaker 1: I gave her three hundred dollars a month to help
- 18:06Speaker 1: with groceries. I got laid off at the end of June.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I told my aunt and asked her if I could
- 18:12Speaker 1: give her a little less each month because I didn't
- 18:15Speaker 1: want to use all my savings. She told me that
- 18:18Speaker 1: was unacceptable and she stopped speaking to me. It's it's
- 18:23Speaker 1: very tense at home, but I have nowhere to go.
- 18:26Speaker 1: My mom lives in the Bahamas with her boyfriend, so
- 18:29Speaker 1: I can't go there. I can't go back to the
- 18:31Speaker 1: dorm yet. So how can I fix this situation with
- 18:34Speaker 1: my aunt? You had to go and cut into that
- 18:36Speaker 1: savings home, Oh, she child, But she only the only
- 18:39Speaker 1: reason you staying for that, for that financial aid package
- 18:43Speaker 1: she getting. Now, she loved you, but not that. Damn Well,
- 18:46Speaker 1: you ain't nothing but the nephew. No, you ain't into
- 18:49Speaker 1: my frigerator right now. You ain't. Oh, it's absolutely mean,
- 18:57Speaker 1: and she did wrong. I mean, everybody getting something from
- 19:00Speaker 1: the government to try to get through this tough time,
- 19:03Speaker 1: and you're a student, and you're a grand student. She
- 19:06Speaker 1: should understand that, but she don't she want that three hundred.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Now you see why you was asked to come over
- 19:11Speaker 1: there in the first place. Has three hundred? No, you're
- 19:14Speaker 1: eating the same amount of groceries, using the same lights
- 19:18Speaker 1: in here, and getting the same amount of sleep. And
- 19:21Speaker 1: that's how she's looking at She wrong for that. I
- 19:25Speaker 1: think I think you should go to and just say, Aunt,
- 19:27Speaker 1: can we talk? Look? I love you and I really
- 19:29Speaker 1: appreciate what you're doing from I got no place else
- 19:31Speaker 1: to go, but all I could afford was a three
- 19:34Speaker 1: hundred a month. And now that I'm cause of COVID,
- 19:36Speaker 1: I'm not working right now. I just need a little help.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I promise you when I get back, I'll make it
- 19:41Speaker 1: up to you. Where's her compassion? Now? You gotta be
- 19:44Speaker 1: careful next time she brings the plate to the table
- 19:47Speaker 1: because she's gonna spit any food. Oh no, oh no, hell,
- 19:52Speaker 1: she ain't speaking to him over three hundred. She wouldn't
- 19:55Speaker 1: to ask the aunt could she give her a little
- 19:58Speaker 1: less each month? Beca has she lost her job? All
- 20:01Speaker 1: of that? I mean, come on, that's just I just
- 20:05Speaker 1: think she lacks compassion. The aunt absolutely, yes, yes, do
- 20:11Speaker 1: one to others that you would have them do one
- 20:13Speaker 1: tea because one day and her aunt's old now too
- 20:19Speaker 1: old to not be speaking to her, write her down,
- 20:22Speaker 1: so you know she goes to the home, you ain't

- 27:26Speaker 1: sending you. I want to picture you in your job.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I got a problem with that. You don't want to
- 27:32Speaker 1: be a star. You don't know what to take to
- 27:33Speaker 1: be a star. Know you don't do If you did that,
- 27:38Speaker 1: I'm glad to be a start. How you gonna do it?

- 28:48Speaker 1: of the hour, entertainment and national news right after this,
- 28:51Speaker 1: you're listening to show, all right, guys in today's entertainment
- 28:58Speaker 1: news to marrow my Houseley announced yesterday that she is
- 29:02Speaker 1: leaving her TV show The Reel. She plays one of
- 29:05Speaker 1: the co hosts, or she is one of the co hosts,
- 29:07Speaker 1: I should say. Tamara has been on the show since
- 29:09Speaker 1: the beginning when it included Tamar Braxton, Lonnie Love, Adrian Baylon,
- 29:13Speaker 1: and Jeanie My. But yesterday, Tamara posted an Instagram that
- 29:18Speaker 1: she's been with the show for seven years and her
- 29:20Speaker 1: friendships with her co hosts and the interviews that she's
- 29:23Speaker 1: been blessed to be a part of will last a lifetime.
- 29:27Speaker 1: But all good things, she says, must come to an end.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Tamara went on to say that she is looking forward
- 29:32Speaker 1: to her next opportunities and spending more time with her family.
- 29:37Speaker 1: So that's good. I mean, of course, she'll be missed um,
- 29:42Speaker 1: she chose family though, well because they lost a man
- 29:47Speaker 1: to seals as well. What you want to be on it? No,
- 29:50Speaker 1: I'm ready to love. I'm just gonna stay focused on
- 29:55Speaker 1: that's your own TV show, But I mean the real Yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 1: I'd like to. Yeah, And that's usually how it works.
- 30:02Speaker 1: When someone leaves, they fill the slot with someone else.
- 30:06Speaker 1: I'm not kany, I stay in my lane. Seven years
- 30:10Speaker 1: must be the magic number. Just what I was going
- 30:13Speaker 1: after seven? Well, anyway, we will miss to marry and
- 30:17Speaker 1: yet to answer your question, they do you replace you
- 30:19Speaker 1: with someone else as a TV man? Yeah? Enough, or
- 30:29Speaker 1: they get another sitcom? Yeah, they have to feel that slot. Yeah. Well.
- 30:35Speaker 1: In other news, this is a crazy story right here.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Empire star but Sheer Gray better known as Hakim Lyon,
- 30:42Speaker 1: that was the youngest Lion son. He was arrested. Yeah,
- 30:46Speaker 1: he was a new addition he played in new addition
- 30:48Speaker 1: to yes he did, he should play Mike Bibbins. He
- 30:52Speaker 1: was arrested Sunday night on the domestic violence charge police
- 30:57Speaker 1: in Goodyear, Arizona, that's right outside of Fiend. Nick responded
- 31:01Speaker 1: to a nine one one call from his wife, who
- 31:03Speaker 1: said she had been assaulted by her husband. Now, I
- 31:07Speaker 1: didn't even know he was married. I never knew that. Right.
- 31:11Speaker 1: When officers arrived, Gray barricaded himself inside the home for
- 31:15Speaker 1: about nine hours and refused to come out and speak
- 31:18Speaker 1: with police. The SWAT team and crisis negotiators were called in,
- 31:23Speaker 1: and he eventually surrendered without incident. He is charged with
- 31:26Speaker 1: assault and disorderly conduct. And I mean, what a bizarre,
- 31:31Speaker 1: crazy story period. Man. Okay, so what do they know
- 31:39Speaker 1: about the story so far? Well, so far you know
- 31:42Speaker 1: that not did you need any more domestic violences? Right,
- 31:45Speaker 1: it's horrific, Aron, Right, Well so far you know they
- 31:52Speaker 1: were fighting. His wife ran out to a gas station nearby.
- 31:56Speaker 1: She asked for help. They took her to the High hospital.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Uh they then they went to arrest for year. That's
- 32:05Speaker 1: when they went to arrest him, but his wife was
- 32:07Speaker 1: already in the hospital. She suffered minor injuries. He suffocated.
- 32:11Speaker 1: He suffocated her until she passed out. Oh my god, yeah,
- 32:15Speaker 1: what I know that that is a serious I don't know. Look,
- 32:22Speaker 1: let me just say this about it to all young
- 32:25Speaker 1: men listening, to all grown men listening, It's just not
- 32:28Speaker 1: the way to handle it. Man. Abusing a woman is wrong.
- 32:31Speaker 1: On so many levels. Yes, and there is there is
- 32:34Speaker 1: no correct way to do it. And then there is
- 32:36Speaker 1: no justification for if you're a man. You're a man,
- 32:40Speaker 1: you know now, if you're defending your life, that's a
- 32:42Speaker 1: whole other thing. But anything else, man, it's it's it's
- 32:46Speaker 1: it's just unacceptable. It just is man in the eyes
- 32:50Speaker 1: of all of most men that I know too. Come on, man, Yeah,
- 32:55Speaker 1: you're stronger, you got you got you gotta be better
- 32:57Speaker 1: than that man. You can't you can't get that man
- 32:59Speaker 1: and put your hands on you can't do that. All right, Steve,
- 33:02Speaker 1: let's move on. Now it's time to get caught up
- 33:04Speaker 1: on today's news headlines, Ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne Trip,
- 33:08Speaker 1: thank you, Steve, Thanks everybody. This is and tripped with
- 33:10Speaker 1: the news the Democratic Party's presumptive presidential nominee. That's Joe Biden.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Of course, he is putting out his first TV ad
- 33:17Speaker 1: for the general election, and it's being launched in the
- 33:20Speaker 1: traditional red state of Texas, where recent polls suggests at
- 33:24Speaker 1: least now a surprisingly tight race. Biden's add as part
- 33:27Speaker 1: of a six figure multi state rollout that deals with
- 33:30Speaker 1: the skyrocketing number of coronavirus I got virus cases in
- 33:33Speaker 1: the country. How that's affecting the economy and everything else,
- 33:36Speaker 1: especially in the mostly Republican South. In fact, Texas has
- 33:39Speaker 1: become political volatile in recent weeks because of that situation,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and a recent Dallas Morning News survey shows Joe Biden
- 33:46Speaker 1: leading Donald Trump by five points at least again that's
- 33:49Speaker 1: just now. Joe Biden also, by the way, vowing to
- 33:52Speaker 1: spend two traion dollars to shift the country away from
- 33:54Speaker 1: greenhouse gas emitting energy if elected, saying he'd like to
- 33:58Speaker 1: see zero emission electric vehicles, the construction of more energy
- 34:01Speaker 1: efficient homes, including public housing units, something Biden says would
- 34:04Speaker 1: be good for the people as well as the planet.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Donald Trump thinks about climate change, the only word he
- 34:10Speaker 1: can muster is hoax. When I think about climate change,
- 34:14Speaker 1: the word I think of his jobs, and Biden said
- 34:17Speaker 1: he would make sure that those jobs are available if
- 34:19Speaker 1: he's elected President. Trump meanwhile, has signed an executive order
- 34:23Speaker 1: that will end the special treatment given to Hong Kong.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Trump has cited China's recent moves to clamp down on
- 34:29Speaker 1: freedoms in the form of British colony. Hong Kong had
- 34:32Speaker 1: been a semi autonomous business reason for years and using years.
- 34:35Speaker 1: So since that's changing, Trump says, the US is going
- 34:38Speaker 1: to change to it to assigned legislation and an executive
- 34:42Speaker 1: order to hold China accountable for its oppressive actions against
- 34:46Speaker 1: the people of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Autonomy Act
- 34:50Speaker 1: passed unanimously through Congress. This law gives my administration powerful
- 34:55Speaker 1: new tools to hold responsible the individuals and the entities
- 34:59Speaker 1: involved in thing wishing Hong Kong's freedom. Trump says that
- 35:02Speaker 1: Hong Kong will now be treated the same way as
- 35:04Speaker 1: mainland China. Washington DC football team, you know, the One,
- 35:07Speaker 1: has officially dropped its controversial team name, considered racist by
- 35:11Speaker 1: Native Americans, even though Donald Trump says Native Americans won't
- 35:14Speaker 1: like the removal of it. That's what he says. In
- 35:16Speaker 1: a statement, the team says it will to retire the Moniker.
- 35:18Speaker 1: As for its new name, some of the possible new
- 35:21Speaker 1: ones mentioned the Red Wolves, the Warriors, even the Red Tails,
- 35:25Speaker 1: which of course would be a homage to the homage
- 35:28Speaker 1: to the legendary Tuskegee pilots because they call their planes
- 35:30Speaker 1: and units Redtails. Some of the team's major sponsors, like
- 35:33Speaker 1: FedEx and Pepsi. They also support the name change and finally,
- 35:38Speaker 1: today the deadline of fire incump taxes. You gotta get
- 35:41Speaker 1: it in or file your paperwork electronically by midnight tonight,
- 35:44Speaker 1: or requesting extension on the IRS website. What Kisses? Now
- 35:48Speaker 1: Back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 35:51Speaker 1: show justice for Brianna Taylor say her name. Real Housewives
- 35:58Speaker 1: of Atlanta star Porsha William was arrested during a massive
- 36:02Speaker 1: demonstration outside the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron,
- 36:06Speaker 1: who has yet to file criminal charges against Louisville cops
- 36:10Speaker 1: involved in Brianna's death. Porsche was hauled away from Cameron's
- 36:14Speaker 1: home with her wrists and zip ties as protesters chan
- 36:18Speaker 1: at Brianna's name. Louisville Pete tells us that Porsche was
- 36:21Speaker 1: cited for criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and intimidating a participant
- 36:27Speaker 1: in legal process. Porsche was one of hundreds of people
- 36:30Speaker 1: arrested at the protest, along with love and hip hop
- 36:33Speaker 1: star Yandy Smith and reality TV star and activists Tamika Mallory.
- 36:39Speaker 1: As you know, Kentucky's ag has been under fire for
- 36:42Speaker 1: quite a while now for posting pictures of his engagement
- 36:45Speaker 1: party instead of drilling down on the case. With no
- 36:49Speaker 1: arrests or charges in the case, protests have continued in
- 36:53Speaker 1: and around Louisville. It's been more than four months since
- 36:56Speaker 1: three Louisville cops served a no knock warrant at the
- 36:59Speaker 1: wrong address, mind you, shooting and killing Brianna Taylor in
- 37:03Speaker 1: her own home. Brianna Taylor, say her her name? Yeah? Wow? Wow?
- 37:10Speaker 1: What is taking so long? The judicial system, it's doing
- 37:17Speaker 1: what it always does. Look like, it's allowing the police
- 37:22Speaker 1: to get their act together so when they come out,
- 37:26Speaker 1: they'll all be on the same page. Oh yeah, Oh well.
- 37:32Speaker 1: The objective is for no police officer to have to
- 37:34Speaker 1: suffer any time for performing an act of duty. That's
- 37:39Speaker 1: that's the goal. But you at the wrong house and
- 37:42Speaker 1: the man and she was looking forwards in jail. But
- 37:44Speaker 1: what what what? There's no answer to this. No, I mean, look,
- 37:49Speaker 1: it's fouled. It's a huge debacle on the police department's part.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Now a woman is dead because the state they made
- 37:58Speaker 1: exactly a huge, huge mistake that they made, and now
- 38:02Speaker 1: you don't get to say, oh, I'm sorry, my bad
- 38:06Speaker 1: and somebody has lost their life. You don't get to
- 38:08Speaker 1: do that. And you don't get to say, well, we
- 38:11Speaker 1: don't know exactly who fired the fatal shot. You don't
- 38:13Speaker 1: get to say that everybody was there. In real life,
- 38:17Speaker 1: it don't matter who fired a shot. If you with
- 38:19Speaker 1: the people that commit the crime, your ass is guilty too.
- 38:26Speaker 1: It's called mandatory police sentencing. We just need to have
- 38:31Speaker 1: them accountable for the same laws they are sworn and
- 38:36Speaker 1: paid to uphold. You can't swear to uphold the law
- 38:41Speaker 1: and then be allowed to break it. Yeah and yeah,
- 38:47Speaker 1: coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour, while
- 38:51Speaker 1: Nick Cannon, our friend, friend of the show, Nick Cannon
- 38:55Speaker 1: is fired from wilding Out. We'll talk about it right
- 38:59Speaker 1: after this. We'll see what happens. You're listening to Harvey
- 39:03Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well, wow, Nick Cannon has come under fire
- 39:09Speaker 1: after a conversation on his podcast. Cannon's class was deemed
- 39:14Speaker 1: to contain racist and anti Semitic language. The June thirtieth episode,
- 39:19Speaker 1: which was flagged by a Jewish blogger on Sunday, contained
- 39:23Speaker 1: a ninety ninety minute interview between Nick and former Public
- 39:27Speaker 1: Enemy member Richard Griffin, best known by a stage name
- 39:30Speaker 1: Professor Griff. In the interview, Nick made comment that were
- 39:34Speaker 1: said to spread views of anti Semitism. Nick was dropped
- 39:38Speaker 1: by media giant Viacom CBS on Tuesday. They said in
- 39:43Speaker 1: a statement, Viacom CBS condemns bigotry of any kind and
- 39:48Speaker 1: we categorically denounced all forms of anti Semitism. We have
- 39:52Speaker 1: spoken with Nick Cannon about an episode of his podcast,
- 39:55Speaker 1: Cannon's Class on YouTube, which promoted hateful speech and spread
- 40:00Speaker 1: anti Semitic conspiracy theories. Nick Is tweeted and he posted
- 40:06Speaker 1: a statement as well, Wow, what did Nick say? This is?
- 40:11Speaker 1: This is kind of he said, Um, anyone who knows
- 40:15Speaker 1: me knows that I have no hate in my heart,
- 40:17Speaker 1: nor malice intentions. I do not condone hate speech nor
- 40:21Speaker 1: the spread of hateful rhetoric. We are living in a
- 40:24Speaker 1: time when it is more important than ever to promote
- 40:27Speaker 1: unity and understanding. That's what Nick said in part. Yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 1: because he tweeted, and you know, it's it's it's tough
- 40:36Speaker 1: to watch people's careers taken from him when they make
- 40:41Speaker 1: cancel culture. It's what we're living and it's it's hard
- 40:45Speaker 1: man one one line and trusting. Believe I don't even
- 40:50Speaker 1: know what he said. I do not even know what
- 40:54Speaker 1: the comment is. I'm just making a comment saying it's tough, man,
- 40:58Speaker 1: to watch people's whole career get taken away when they
- 41:03Speaker 1: make a mistake. And I do know Nick, I do
- 41:07Speaker 1: not know him to be a hateful person in any way.
- 41:10Speaker 1: He's always been one of the coolest dudes. Man. I
- 41:14Speaker 1: don't I don't know what was said, but at then,
- 41:18Speaker 1: we also live in a climate, man, where everybody's on
- 41:22Speaker 1: their toes right now, and you have to learn in
- 41:26Speaker 1: this business and any business that anti Semitic rhetoric because
- 41:32Speaker 1: they have watched dog and rightfully so, I wish black
- 41:36Speaker 1: people monitored our culture the same way. Come on, I'm
- 41:40Speaker 1: telling you, man, because again I wish black people monitored
- 41:46Speaker 1: our culture the same way if we had watched dogs.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Every time somebody called one of our women out they
- 41:53Speaker 1: name in song or anything. Yeah, you know, I wish.
- 41:59Speaker 1: I wish we honor to our culture and cared about
- 42:02Speaker 1: our women and and and and things that's important to
- 42:06Speaker 1: us as our culture the way the Jewish community does.
- 42:10Speaker 1: And so look in in light of this climate, man,
- 42:15Speaker 1: you gotta be you gotta be smart and and I
- 42:18Speaker 1: did Nick Cannon too, man, and and I hate this
- 42:21Speaker 1: is happening to him. And once again I'm making this
- 42:23Speaker 1: statement not knowing what he said at all. Let me
- 42:25Speaker 1: ask you this, what happens to a brother that has
- 42:28Speaker 1: a show like Wild and Out? What happens to his show?
- 42:30Speaker 1: Because he created that show, didn't he? I think so?
- 42:34Speaker 1: I think he is part of the creator and executive
- 42:37Speaker 1: producers and host. Yeah, and then he also hosts a
- 42:42Speaker 1: mass singer, don't forget about that, and a radio show, right,
- 42:47Speaker 1: and he has a radio show that's doing very well
- 42:49Speaker 1: as well. Well. I hope he can recover from this. Okay,
- 42:53Speaker 1: now I just read what was said. I just read
- 42:58Speaker 1: what Nick Cannon said. I'm not going to read everywhere
- 43:01Speaker 1: on this show. I'm not gonna do it. Here is
- 43:04Speaker 1: the dilemma that we face now. We're in a climate
- 43:08Speaker 1: where we have to be careful. We're in a climate
- 43:12Speaker 1: man of political correctness, when the Me too movement climate,
- 43:19Speaker 1: we're in the Black Lives Matter climate, and we're the
- 43:22Speaker 1: climate where we have a president who don't care nothing
- 43:26Speaker 1: about black lives, who don't care nothing about the gay community,
- 43:30Speaker 1: who don't care nothing about immigrants, he don't care nothing
- 43:33Speaker 1: about DOCTA. This man don't care nothing about banning Muslims.
- 43:37Speaker 1: This man right here, it don't care nothing about the COVID.
- 43:42Speaker 1: So when you got that up coming from the top man,
- 43:45Speaker 1: it don't take much, y'all, It just don't real Yeah, wow, Um, well,
- 43:51Speaker 1: we're gonna switch gears here. Coming up next, nephew in
- 43:54Speaker 1: the building for the prank phone call. Right after this,
- 43:58Speaker 1: you're listening morning show coming up at the top of
- 44:03Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 44:06Speaker 1: letter for today, the subject the Cookie Lady is back
- 44:08Speaker 1: in town. Oh, the Cookie Lady is back in town.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Wait till you hear that. All right, But right now,
- 44:16Speaker 1: nephew in the building with today's prank phone call. What
- 44:19Speaker 1: you got for us? Nef Hey, drawls at the retirement home?
- 44:24Speaker 1: What drawls at the retirement I guess you couldn't say
- 44:29Speaker 1: that with sexy likes Steve Hunh draws at the retirement home.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I know, but even that wouldn't work. Sexy you think
- 44:38Speaker 1: draws at the retirement Say it's Steve. You ain't got
- 44:42Speaker 1: to say out let you know, I know he's gonna
- 44:45Speaker 1: throw y'all a little bit into something. But just to
- 44:48Speaker 1: prove to you that love has no limit, we're gonna
- 44:51Speaker 1: be talking about drawls down at the Senior Citizen Home. Yeah.
- 44:58Speaker 1: So that's sound better than me. Yes, yes, sorry, sounds
- 45:03Speaker 1: sounds bigger. Yes, come on, come on, come on, hey,
- 45:09Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, we're going to be slowing it down
- 45:12Speaker 1: a little bit and we're on our way to the draws.
- 45:17Speaker 1: You can't do it, let's go cat doc. Oh yeah,
- 45:25Speaker 1: who's this? Who is this? This is Attorney David David?
- 45:30Speaker 1: Uh huh, all right, this is Anthony Anthony. I was
- 45:35Speaker 1: giving you a call. You used to work at the
- 45:37Speaker 1: UH Senior Center, then I right, yes, okay, we got

- 45:44Speaker 1: with miss Yes, yes, older lady. That a Caucasian lady

- 48:58Speaker 1: Well I want to tell you this. Yes, this is
- 49:01Speaker 1: Nephew Timming from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You have
- 49:04Speaker 1: been prank phone call by your girl that's standing right
- 49:07Speaker 1: there with your daughters. I would have kicked booth, y'all.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Why do you do that? Time? What's wrong with you? Man? Man? Man,
- 49:22Speaker 1: you know this ain't no good time for me. Man,
- 49:24Speaker 1: I don't have time. Man, you mess it with you? Man,
- 49:28Speaker 1: I'm i'm I'm in the studio. I'm in New York City. Man,
- 49:31Speaker 1: yak Where you get a chance when you're going back
- 49:33Speaker 1: your city? You stopped through tripping. Let me I'll ask
- 49:37Speaker 1: you to put your picture on your side. She wouldn't
- 49:41Speaker 1: know what you look like next time I see you.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Oh man, you got you got, but you myseln't noticed. Woman,
- 49:50Speaker 1: you got the wrong one. You should have had somebody
- 49:53Speaker 1: else ain't gonna work you couldn't get that off. Craziest
- 50:02Speaker 1: hell I hate when I got yourself from Miss Darthus. Hey,
- 50:07Speaker 1: I gotta ask you one more thing, mister Anthony. What
- 50:10Speaker 1: is the baddest radio show in the land? Man? You
- 50:13Speaker 1: know what it is? All right? Now you have it? Draw. Yeah,
- 50:26Speaker 1: I wouldn't live too far. I don't worry you. Oh
- 50:28Speaker 1: wait too, Yes, playing with elderly, elderly people I play with.
- 50:35Speaker 1: I played with people kids. I played with the doorman
- 50:39Speaker 1: at the apartment building. I don't care Church Champ, I
- 50:43Speaker 1: don't here if I had Trump's nobody swear pranking, I
- 50:48Speaker 1: ain't laying to y'all. Do I wish you would? Yeah,
- 50:52Speaker 1: that'd be your last prank. You think that'll be my
- 50:57Speaker 1: last one? I'll do it. Yeah, y'all do it, secret service,
- 51:05Speaker 1: black suit, sunglasses, all a lot of things be over
- 51:08Speaker 1: for you. Hey man, hey man, give me thathing to
- 51:11Speaker 1: that red phone. That's why I call that red phone.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I ain't I call it, yeah, because it'd be your
- 51:19Speaker 1: last damn pank your ass right after that. This prank
- 51:26Speaker 1: was no conlusion. It was just a fun prank or
- 51:29Speaker 1: something could do. All I did was calling said we're
- 51:32Speaker 1: McDonald's when we could still unimore birds. Is it my
- 51:39Speaker 1: imagination or is his hair whiter now his hair was
- 51:42Speaker 1: a little more definitely brows. No, he's more orange. Oh,
- 51:48Speaker 1: he's more so it made his hair look whiter. I
- 51:52Speaker 1: go with tangerine. Every president usually their hair turns white
- 51:57Speaker 1: while they're in office, especially if they get to make
- 51:59Speaker 1: it for four eight years, two terms. Well, he worried
- 52:02Speaker 1: about going to jail. Oh that's a whole compared to
- 52:08Speaker 1: prior presidents. They just had the stress of the job. Yes, yeah,
- 52:13Speaker 1: he gotta go. As my husband will say to the
- 52:15Speaker 1: ban he worried about to write a book, to write
- 52:23Speaker 1: a book. Roger Stone gonna put it in the end,
- 52:25Speaker 1: quir it's just yes, yes, it is real deep, which
- 52:34Speaker 1: says we still have to get out and vote. Yeah,
- 52:38Speaker 1: these are jokes, but yeah, the serious business is getting
- 52:42Speaker 1: out to vote every time you get a chance, and
- 52:45Speaker 1: especially in November for the general elect. What we used
- 52:50Speaker 1: to say in Chicago that was a little vote early vote, often,
- 52:55Speaker 1: vote early vote often. All right, thank you, nephew. Coming
- 53:02Speaker 1: up next, Strawberry letters subject the cookie Lady is back
- 53:05Speaker 1: in town. We'll get into that right after this. You're
- 53:09Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, it
- 53:14Speaker 1: is time now for today's Strawberry Letter and listen. If
- 53:16Speaker 1: you need advice on relationships, dating, work, sex, parenting, and more,
- 53:21Speaker 1: please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve HARVEYFM dot com
- 53:25Speaker 1: and click submit Strawberry Letter. We could be reading your
- 53:28Speaker 1: letter live on the air, just like we're gonna read
- 53:31Speaker 1: that one right here, right now. That's what we're gonna.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Buggle up and hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject the
- 53:40Speaker 1: Cookie Lady is back in town. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm
- 53:44Speaker 1: a forty three year old woman and I have a
- 53:46Speaker 1: small group of friends who have all known each other
- 53:50Speaker 1: since high school. We've been strict about quarantining, so we
- 53:54Speaker 1: agreed to meet once a week for drinks and dinner.
- 53:56Speaker 1: It's really helped us feel better and maintain us sense
- 54:00Speaker 1: of normalcy with all the craziness going on in the world.
- 54:03Speaker 1: About a month ago, another girl who went to high
- 54:06Speaker 1: school with us moved back into town. But there's just
- 54:10Speaker 1: one problem. She's slept with all of our husbands, yes,
- 54:16Speaker 1: all of them. This girl was very promiscuous and yeah,
- 54:21Speaker 1: she was very promiscuous in high school and was known
- 54:24Speaker 1: for being the girl that all the guys went to
- 54:27Speaker 1: for some easy cookie. She even gave a cookie away
- 54:31Speaker 1: when she was in college. So now me and the
- 54:33Speaker 1: group are concerned because she reached out to us and
- 54:36Speaker 1: said that she would love to be in our weekly gatherings.
- 54:40Speaker 1: The problem is that we don't trust her and we
- 54:43Speaker 1: don't really think she's going to fit in well with us. Yes,
- 54:46Speaker 1: it was a long time ago, but some of that
- 54:49Speaker 1: resentment is still there. Also, she is still single and
- 54:53Speaker 1: in much better shape than the rest of us who've
- 54:56Speaker 1: had several children. We are afraid that our husbands will
- 54:59Speaker 1: see her and have flashbacks of how she was in
- 55:02Speaker 1: high school and college. My husband saw a photo of
- 55:05Speaker 1: her on Facebook and said he couldn't believe how good
- 55:08Speaker 1: she still looks. I'm not sure why he was comfortable
- 55:11Speaker 1: enough to tell me that, but it really put me
- 55:14Speaker 1: on edge. I called my best girlfriend and told her
- 55:17Speaker 1: that I don't think we should bring this woman into
- 55:19Speaker 1: our close knit group. She agreed. Do you think we're
- 55:22Speaker 1: being overly sensitive about this? No, nope, I don't think
- 55:26Speaker 1: you're being overly sensitive At all. I think you're right
- 55:29Speaker 1: on point. I think you have a reason to be
- 55:31Speaker 1: concerned about girlfriend. This woman, the cookie lady as you
- 55:35Speaker 1: call her, has slept with all of your husbands. They
- 55:39Speaker 1: weren't your husband's then, But you know that was a
- 55:42Speaker 1: long time ago. But the thought of it probably still
- 55:46Speaker 1: pains you a little bit or something. You still feel
- 55:48Speaker 1: some kind of way about it, and you know this
- 55:51Speaker 1: woman could be trouble. She could be trouble. You don't know.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Can people change, Yes, absolutely they can change. Most definitely
- 55:59Speaker 1: did she change? We don't know who knows if she's
- 56:02Speaker 1: changed or not. But there is a reason you don't
- 56:06Speaker 1: trust her. I think I would take this as a
- 56:10Speaker 1: wake up call, though I really would. I'm switching gears
- 56:13Speaker 1: here a little bit. I would take this as a
- 56:15Speaker 1: wake up call because your husband, you said in the letter,
- 56:19Speaker 1: commented when you showed him a picture of her on
- 56:22Speaker 1: Facebook that she still looks good and he felt very
- 56:26Speaker 1: comfortable saying that to you. Red flag. So she's in
- 56:32Speaker 1: great shape, you're saying, and you guys aren't because you've
- 56:36Speaker 1: had children, you know, which means that your friends aren't
- 56:40Speaker 1: in good shape either. They've had children too. And you
- 56:43Speaker 1: said several So I think what you and your girls
- 56:46Speaker 1: could do and maybe should do instead of meeting to drink,
- 56:49Speaker 1: you know, with the whole group drink and eat, maybe
- 56:53Speaker 1: just the ladies could start like a diet club, start
- 56:56Speaker 1: working out together. All right now, I'm going remember that comment, right,
- 57:02Speaker 1: I mean, maybe you guys him not a down and
- 57:06Speaker 1: and uh you know, so I think maybe to something
- 57:11Speaker 1: like this, you ladies can invite the cookie lady h
- 57:15Speaker 1: you know, to join you for something like that, just
- 57:18Speaker 1: the girls, just the ladies, no men, no husband. This way,
- 57:22Speaker 1: I think you ladies will have a chance to meet
- 57:24Speaker 1: with her, feel her out, you know, see if if
- 57:27Speaker 1: she's changed, See if you guys want to take it
- 57:29Speaker 1: any further with her, if you in the in the
- 57:31Speaker 1: future do want to bring her around your husband. You
- 57:34Speaker 1: got to see. People do change. But I think you know,
- 57:37Speaker 1: if you're feeling not so good about the way you
- 57:39Speaker 1: look because of what your husband said about her, that's
- 57:42Speaker 1: a good time to meet up and do something about it. Steve, Well,
- 57:48Speaker 1: normally I don't start at the back of the letter,
- 57:50Speaker 1: but that's where Sherley you started. So I feel compelled
- 57:53Speaker 1: to do the same thing. After this whole letter The
- 57:57Speaker 1: question is do you think with being overly sensitive about this? No? Now,
- 58:05Speaker 1: why do I think you're not being overly sensitive? Three things?
- 58:09Speaker 1: I think y'all scared. I think y'all should be scared.
- 58:15Speaker 1: And I think she could have changed, but your husbands
- 58:19Speaker 1: ain't interested in change. Now, let us begin with the
- 58:24Speaker 1: letter forty three went to college with this girl. You
- 58:29Speaker 1: get together with all your friends, y'all, with the school,
- 58:31Speaker 1: with doing the quarantine every friday, y'all having a good time.
- 58:35Speaker 1: About a month ago, another girl went to high school
- 58:37Speaker 1: with y'all, moved back into town. Here she comes, but
- 58:41Speaker 1: it's just one problem. She has slept with all our husbands. Yes,
- 58:46Speaker 1: all of them. Well, damn, how many of y'all listen?
- 58:50Speaker 1: Because that ain't that ain't got a number, all of them,
- 58:54Speaker 1: every last one of them. We need to do some
- 58:57Speaker 1: testing in this little group here. What we need? We
- 59:04Speaker 1: need to do some damn testing. Is this little group
- 59:07Speaker 1: right here ain't child being extra frenny? Yeah, hey, lady,
- 59:13Speaker 1: I know you didn't think we're gonna go like this,
- 59:15Speaker 1: but I just want to throw that out. This girl
- 59:19Speaker 1: was very promiscuous in high school. There's no being that
- 59:23Speaker 1: girl that all the guys went to for some easy cookie. Everybody.
- 59:28Speaker 1: She even gave a cookie away when she was in college.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Oh so did what she do? Well? Hold on, hold on,
- 59:36Speaker 1: and I blame she the stadium cons you know, concessions, Lady,
- 59:41Speaker 1: cookie hal get your cook Cooka's hair. I am even
- 59:46Speaker 1: calling it the cookie in the first place. With your book. Look,
- 59:51Speaker 1: we'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 59:54Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hours, So don't go anywhere.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Subject today of the Strawberry Letter, the Cookie Lady is
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: back in town. Get your cookies here. We'll be right back.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Come on, Steve, Let's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject the cookie Lady is back
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: in town. Forty three year old lady got a group
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: of friends. They went to school together. They all get
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: together once a week doing this COVID to help but
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: deal with the craziness day all being quarantined so everybody's safe.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: They feel comfortable one another. Um they got About a
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: month ago, another girl from their school came back to town.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: But here's the problem. The girl is coming back to
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: town to slept with all of the group's husbands. All
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: of them ain't missed, no damn body clean, sweet total
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: bow to everybody. Hey, hey cockas cockays cocka everybody. She
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: just come out the castle and blow the trumpet. Cookcakes. Ah,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: you're crazy. She even gave the cookie away when she
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: was in college. Now you and the group is concerned,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: and rightfully so, because she hadn't reached out and says
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: she would love to be in on that weekly gatherers.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: How she finds out about the gathering. Oh for her
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: to just come back into town for a month and
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: find out about these weekly gatherings. Maybe one of your
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: husbands said, you know what? They get together every Friday.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Because if y'all surprised about it, where where did they
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: get the information? Unless y'all small ass town is really
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: really small. Now this whole group has been affiliated with
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: one another. The first thing we need to do we
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: need some testing done in this group. Let's just go
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: back over there. We need some damn I'm testing going
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: on in this right and it ain't COVID. I ain't
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: talking about COVID. We need to get some testing done
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: all right now the problem is that we don't trust her,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and we really don't think she's gonna fit in well
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: with us. Oh you don't think she'll fit in well
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: with y'all, But you ain't ask y'all's husband, stiff, see
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: what they think? Why you know? So, now here we go,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: people change, things change. Oh now she just slept with
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: all y'all's men. Times have changed. It was a long
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: time ago, but some of that resentment is there also
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: now here we go. She's still single and in much
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: better shape than the rest of us who've had several children.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: He'll go to damn problem right here, she still in
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Oh now, Sheirley surprised me with her answer, tombaut, since
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: y'all get together every Friday, and y'all are a little
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: worried because she's still fine. Shirley did what calling them
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: won't let me ever do. I can't fashaine, nobody I
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: get called out. Oh, but now you're talking about instead
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: of sitting around drinking, why don't y'all's ass get together
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: and eat the right damned foods instead of drinking, Why
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: don't y'all have celery juice and chew on some carriage
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: or something and try to get some of that weight
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: off y'all's ass instead of sitting over here and there
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: here comes this little, fine, little smoking ass thing that
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: your husband saw on Facebook and had the nerve to
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: tell you he couldn't believe how good she still looked.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Don't let this girl in your group. She can't get
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: in this group. It's a problem. She's a Facebook problem.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Now you don't think your husband just said to the
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: other husband, man, you've seen someone so girl, you need
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: to see this thing right here. She still got it now,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Shirley said. Now, first of all, your husband is stupid.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Let me just exprass to your husband is the biggest
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: damn idiot I've ever seen. Now, y'all gonna let her
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: skinny ass in the group. Still fine, still banging, she's single,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: she ain't gave birth to no kids. Now here she comes.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I don't think we have a solution to this letter
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: except ukn't let her banging ass back in this group.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: You called your girlfriend and you told her you don't
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: think that, and your girlfriend agreed because she looked her
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: up on Facebook too and said, no, jeez, do you
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: think we're being overly sensitive? No? I don't. Now do
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: people change, Yes, they change, and obviously she has changed
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: for the better, because when a woman getting in her
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: forties and still holding it together. That's a bad chick
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: right there. And if they get in their fifties and
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: still holding together, that's a bad chick right there. Yeah. See,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: cause the chances of everybody holding it together in their
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: forties and fifties gets slimmer and slimmer. So now you're
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: gonna invite You're gonna invite the fat person to the
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: to the pack eaton contest. How you think that's gonna
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: work out? This is a sad thing, Yes it is, Yes,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: it is because Shirley and the cording to Shirley, it
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: is gloom to do and all this happy hour y'all
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: having start bringing Celery to these happy hours. As Shirley suggested,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: you could have had a va instead of that damn
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Margaret they got Scar'll picture that girl off of Facebook
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: and bring it to the next meeting, y'all ask quit eating?
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: All right? Thank you? Steve. Post your comments. I'm Today's

- 1:08:23Speaker 1: don't even wear about that. But let me tell you
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: something about this damn government. You has got to pay
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: the government the damn taxes. Get your ass out of

- 1:08:44Speaker 1: gonna work for you. Recommend China, China, because he's starting

- 1:09:58Speaker 1: They've returned to la They were on vacation together in
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: the Bahamas. Yes, I said together in the Bahamas. People

- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Prior to Friday's release of you Know the bombshell Red
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Table Talk. We've been talking about it, the episode in
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: which Jada revealed that she had a romance with August Alcina.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: She's forty eight or forty nine. He's twenty seven now
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: while she and Will were going through a temporary separation.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Of course, Jada said she didn't know it was temporary
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: at the time. Prior to the Red Table Talk episode,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: August revealed his feelings for Jada in a podcast interview,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: and he said that I truly and really really deeply
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: love and have a ton of love for her. I
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: say something, yes, sure, after just a second story today,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I want to send this message out to black people.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Stay your ass off a podcast. I don't him a
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: damn whose show it is. Stay your ass off of podcast,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: August Nick, everybody on podcast shit your damn mouth on
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: these podcasts. Yeah, okay, now go ahead and share on that.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry, all right, Well, yeah, August Young August Alsina
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: said he truly and really really deeply loved her and
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: has a ton of love for her. He said he
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: devoted himself to it. I gave my full self to it,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: so much to the point that I can die right
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: myself to someone. Boy, boy, listen to me. That's all
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: that is. No, that's not. That's whipped. It sounds very romantic. No, No,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: it's it's it's not romantic. No, he's whipped. This is
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: a totally whipped statement. If I die right now, if
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: I die right now, I'm all right with that. What
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: because I truly gave myself to somebody. You're twenty seven?
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: What the hell are you leaving here for now? You
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: ain't even fifty. You ain't even had the fun you
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: gonna have, You ain't made the money you're gonna make.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: This is a whipped statement. I truly and really, really
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: deeply love and have a ton of love for her
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: love tons ton is the whip word in that ton
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: of h I have a ton of love. So he
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: was sprung, So sprung, that's what they're saying. No, and
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: truly love. No, it's every man. Because he's twenty seven
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: doesn't mean he can't feel real love. This is the
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: ages that's the target zone for sprung whippment. I dated
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: an older chick when I was twenty twenty years old. Lord,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: do to you about thirty one? I'm telling you you
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: wasn't good. Boy. Let me tell you something. I rode
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: a bike to her house with my You don't and
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: the bike is supposed to be over at a body seventeen, Timmy, Timmy,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I had a bike that I had, but my car
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: went down. I rode a bike eleven miles to her house.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: What did she do to you? With the member's only
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: jacket on? When I got there, everything on me was wet.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: That's too the Cleveland. It's what that's boy, A boy
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: straight whipped. So it always comes from an older woman.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying? When you're young like that?
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Because you can be sprung off a woman your own,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: your love. It happens through the yeah, but when she older,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: you don't stand a chance. George Michaels wrote a song
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: about it. Teacher, there are things that I still have
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: to learn, all right, Coming singers out, Steve singers on
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: out to turn us out, Coming out on Today's trending
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: stories on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We'll be back
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour. You're listening to the
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Look at his whole face. Okay,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: you want to subset it up? You ready, Holy let
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: him lose, all right, Steve could let the song go
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: um by George Michael. So he just do a little
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: bit of it. Come on, see how boyd bye goodbye?
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: And you're singing this about an older woman. This is
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: all Sprong was twenty and she was thirty one, and
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: he rode the bike over to her house. You don't
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: know what this song means. I know what this boy
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: August going through. Uh huh. I've been there. I didn't
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: feel the danger. Now I feel the heat. You don't
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: know how hot it is to you go over there? Wow,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: that look in your eyes? You the half farty. Some
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: years I had to go crazy people looking at that
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: damn tennis racing A hundred and fourteen dollars. Come and
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I will have more chips thirty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. You're listening to Harvey
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well wow. Nick Cannon has come under fire
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: after a conversation on his podcast. Cannon's class was deemed
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: to contain racist and anti Semitic language. The June thirtieth episode,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: which was flagged by a Jewish blogger on Sunday, contained
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: a ninety minute ninety minute interview between Nick and former
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Public Enemy member Richard Griffin, best known by his stage
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: name Professor Griff. In the interview, Nick made comment that
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: were said to spread views of anti Semitism. Nick was
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: dropped by media giant Viacom CBS on Tuesday. They said
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: in a statement, Viacom CBS condemns bigotry of any kind,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: and we categorically denounce all forms of anti Semitism. We
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: have spoken with Nick Cannon about an episode of his podcast,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Cannon's Class on YouTube, which promoted hateful speech and spread
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: anti Semitic conspiracy theories. Nick Is tweeted and he posted
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: a statement as well, Wow, what did Nick say is?
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: This is kind of He said, Um, anyone who knows
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: me knows that I have no hate in my heart
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: nor malice intentions. I do not condone hate speech nor
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: the spread of hateful rhetoric. We are living in a
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: time when it is more important than ever to promote
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: unity and understanding. That's what Nick said in part. Yeah,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: because he tweeted, you know, it's it's it's tough to
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: watch people's careers taken from him when they make cancels.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: It's it's hard man, one one line and trusting. Believe.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: I don't even know what he said. I do not
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: even know what the comment is. I'm just making the
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: comment saying it's tough man to watch people's whole career
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: get taken away when they make a mistake. And I
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: do know Nick. I do not know him to be
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: a hateful person in any way. He's always been one
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: of the coolest dudes. Man. I don't I don't know
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: what was said, but at then, we also live in
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: a climate, man, where everybody's on their toes right now,
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: and you have to learn in this business and any
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: business that anti Semitic rhetoric because they have watched Dog
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: and rightfully so, I wish black people monitor our culture
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: the same way. Come on, I'm telling you, man, because
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: say that again, Steve, say that again. I wish black
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: people monitored our culture the same way if we had
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: watched dogs. Every time somebody call one of our women out,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: they name song or anything. Yeah, all right, coming up,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: it'll be our last break of the day. It's the
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: last break of the day, and Steve Harvey will have
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: some very enlightening closing remarks for us coming up at
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour, right after this, you're
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: listening to show. Here we are last break of the day,
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: guys on this Wednesday. Oh what a day now, this
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: really has been a morning. Yeah. A lot of information, yes, yes,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Poorsha Williams getting arrested, you know, being in Kentucky. You
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: know Cannon Man, Yeah, Nick Cannon's story. Well, a lot
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: of stuff going on this morning. But we'll keep you
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: informed as we always do. We try to do that.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: And then there's the pandemic and then yeah, of course
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: there's that. Then there's that with the president. Yeah, then
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: we got to remember to vote and take it very seriously,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: very very seriously. This might be the most important election
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: we've ever had. Yeah, yeah, it might be. You might
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: be right about that. Yeah, you know, but anyway, more important,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: more important than Obama. And I thought that was well yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: we thought we'd never see that, yeah, in our lifetime,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: because look, our parents and grandparents, a lot of them
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: didn't get a chance to see it. Never thought it
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: would be. I was glad my daddy saw that. Yeah,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: me and my mom as well. Yeah, yeah, moment of pride,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: all right, for sure? You ready, it's crazy. I'm sorry, No,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: go ahead, I don't say. My son is nine, that's
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: the first thing he saw. Yeah, my daughter too. They
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: don't know that it's not possible. They don't even know
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: how big of a deal it is, which is so beautiful,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: which is really beautiful. And we have to continue this
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: too because look, let me just say this, because you know,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: for Carler's daughter, for Tommy's son, for my grandchildren. Um,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: they're growing up in some different times than it was
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: for us. We have an opportunity here to shape a
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: different world for them than the one we had to
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: grow up in. I didn't really grow up in great times,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: to be honest with you. Uh, it's it's it's been
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: a dog fighting, a struggle the entire time for me.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: But guess what. It ain't just been for Steve Harvey.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: It's been for every other person of color that has
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: been here. But life is a struggle for everybody, no
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: matter what color or religion, or faith, or creed or
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: nationality you belong to. Life is tough. Now you couple
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: that and become victims of oppression. And racism, and boy,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: you gotta you gotta hell of a fight on your
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: hands now. And that's what Black Lives Matter is saying.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: But we're not saying that other people's lives don't matter,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: because we do respect and honor that all lives matter.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: But what Black Lives Matters is really saying is can
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: our lives count exactly the same way yours does? Do
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: we not have that right as Americans? So what I'm
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: saying with the Black Lives Matter movement is that I
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: want to extend it to the polls, because if you
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: go to the polls black Lives Matters, you get a
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: chance to show the world who we are, that we
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: are relevant, that we are significant, that we are important,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: that we are an integral part of the fiber of
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: this country. Treat Listen, here is a truth at a fact.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: If it was not for slavery, this country you see
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: it today, would not be the country it is today,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: not the greatness in it. Slavery built this country. Slavery
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: paid the ultimate costs for this country to thrive and
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: have the financial foothold that it had because of the
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: millions and millions of people that were bought here for
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: free labor. That's a fact. That's not a racial statement.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: That's a fact period. No one can argue that fact
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: right there. Now that we are beyond the slavery years
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: and we are dealing and grappling with the oppressionary measures
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: that came behind slavery, which does exist, systemic racism, the
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: judicial system, the laws, the red lining, all of this
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: and all of that. Going to the polls is a
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: way to show it. I'm just gonna keep saying this
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: to us so we understand how really important we are.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Every single politicians covets the black vote, with the exception
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: of David Duke. That awesome. People who don't covet your vote,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: who don't care if you know they exist or not.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: And you can hear it in the rhetoric we have
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: been hearing it for four years from the President of
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: this United States. His newest comment that why we keep
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: talking about this, White people are killed by police too.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: See once again, mister president, you keep missing what the
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter movement is about. It's about can our
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: live count the same way as everybody else live. We
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: don't want to be created, we don't want to be
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: given preferential treatment. We want to get the same treatment
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: as everybody else. But if we go to the polls, y'all,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: and we show up in the numbers that we have
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: in this country, we can affect an elation in election.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: We can change the outcome of election. And what greater
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: statement could black lives matter than to show when black
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: lives vote, you better know we matter now because we
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: can determine whether you are in office or out of office,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: and that affects policy and everything else. And I just
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: gotta tell you man, Listen to me, folks. We cannot
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: take four more years of this because if this man
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: is not faced with the have to get re elected
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: part of it, you're gonna see some real damage done
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: to this country in terms of race relations. And we
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: may recover for that for a long long time. We
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: have got to vote. Those are my closing remarks, and
