- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing. Uh huh. I shall will a
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got
- 2:11Speaker 1: a radio show. Uh huh, Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah. Man,
- 2:16Speaker 1: ooh boh, boh, boy man, God has been good to me.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I can't even I can't even put it into words, man,
- 2:26Speaker 1: But I try, though, I try, try try. God does
- 2:30Speaker 1: things for me just right on time. He's so cool
- 2:33Speaker 1: with it. And I happened to run across Joel Oldstein
- 2:38Speaker 1: on television like I often do all the time, and
- 2:44Speaker 1: I was sitting there and he had such a timely
- 2:48Speaker 1: message for me. A part of it was something that
- 2:50Speaker 1: I've said oftentimes about if you really really want to
- 2:57Speaker 1: be successful, if you really really want to change, if
- 3:01Speaker 1: you really really want to prosper, if you really really
- 3:04Speaker 1: want to achieve greatness, if you really really want to
- 3:07Speaker 1: have something in life that's worth having, if you really
- 3:10Speaker 1: really want to accomplish your goals, you got to push
- 3:13Speaker 1: through all of it. He said that when you get
- 3:18Speaker 1: closer to it, the more difficult it becomes. Did you
- 3:24Speaker 1: hear me? He said, the closer you get to what
- 3:28Speaker 1: it is you want or you need, or you have
- 3:30Speaker 1: to have, or or you would love to be, it
- 3:35Speaker 1: gets a little bit more difficult when you get closer.
- 3:39Speaker 1: He told this story that's in the Bible that I've
- 3:44Speaker 1: never heard before. This is what he said. He said
- 3:48Speaker 1: that was a man who was paralyzed, and he had
- 3:55Speaker 1: heard that Jesus was speaking at a house, and so
- 4:00Speaker 1: he wanted to get there. So he convinced four of
- 4:03Speaker 1: his friends to put him on a stretcher and carry
- 4:09Speaker 1: him for hours to get to this house where Jesus
- 4:15Speaker 1: was speaking. He said that along the way, these friends
- 4:22Speaker 1: said that they went along because he had so much
- 4:26Speaker 1: faith that if he could just get to him, it
- 4:29Speaker 1: could be better that he could if he could just
- 4:33Speaker 1: get over there end he could see him, that he
- 4:35Speaker 1: might have a shot at getting held. And so he
- 4:38Speaker 1: said they took out along the way, and they walked
- 4:40Speaker 1: and they walked and they walked for hours. And then
- 4:44Speaker 1: when they got there, the house was completely filled with people.
- 4:49Speaker 1: That was absolutely it was packed wall to wall. That
- 4:52Speaker 1: was absolutely no way for the men to get him
- 4:56Speaker 1: on that stretcher end to see Jesus. This is a
- 5:00Speaker 1: story that Joel Osteen said is in the Bible, and
- 5:03Speaker 1: he was telling it now. I'm just repeating the parts
- 5:06Speaker 1: of it. I got gathered and so he said. They
- 5:10Speaker 1: were sat there and they went, wow, man, we walked
- 5:12Speaker 1: all this weight and it's four and and and and
- 5:16Speaker 1: and and and we can't get there, he said. And
- 5:19Speaker 1: then the guy with the affliction told the four men,
- 5:25Speaker 1: if you get up on the roof and cut a
- 5:28Speaker 1: hole in it and lower me down, I bet I
- 5:33Speaker 1: could see him men, and I better to be all
- 5:35Speaker 1: right now. He then said, you must imagine how these
- 5:41Speaker 1: four men must have felt when you carry somebody for
- 5:45Speaker 1: hours on on on on on on the way. They
- 5:48Speaker 1: had to carry some cloth connected by a couple of sticks,
- 5:52Speaker 1: said the men. Shoulders had to be bruised, had to
- 5:55Speaker 1: have deep gouges in them, not cuts, but just indentations
- 5:59Speaker 1: were they had carried the weight of this grown man
- 6:02Speaker 1: for so many hours, and they looked at him in disbelief, like, man,
- 6:05Speaker 1: what are you talking about. We didn't walked all this far.
- 6:08Speaker 1: He said, yeah, but if you get up on that
- 6:10Speaker 1: roof and you cut a hole in it and lower
- 6:13Speaker 1: me down, I can see him and when he see me,
- 6:17Speaker 1: it'll be all right. After sitting there and imploring the men,
- 6:23Speaker 1: they went up and did just that, and then and
- 6:27Speaker 1: then the story that Joel Osteen said, the man was healed.
- 6:31Speaker 1: But the point he was making was he was saying
- 6:35Speaker 1: that the closer you get to what it is you
- 6:38Speaker 1: really want, the more difficult it's going to become. But
- 6:42Speaker 1: you've got to push through. See, if you don't push through,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you never know, so you can't get right to the answer.
- 6:49Speaker 1: And because it gets really difficult, started creating those little
- 6:52Speaker 1: saying that we got his people. Um, well, I guess
- 6:56Speaker 1: it wasn't meant to be. I guess it wasn't. Or
- 7:00Speaker 1: as we all now, man, I guess you should not
- 7:03Speaker 1: give up right now. I guess you should keep pressing.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I guess you should do more, because see, in all
- 7:09Speaker 1: of us, in all of us, when you've had enough,
- 7:12Speaker 1: I want you to know something you do have a
- 7:15Speaker 1: little bit more in all of us. You can do
- 7:19Speaker 1: one more you know. That's one of my favorite things
- 7:22Speaker 1: that I heard. Joel Oldstein said. It kind of made
- 7:24Speaker 1: me feel good. He said, I always feel like I
- 7:28Speaker 1: can do one more anything, and I tell my friends
- 7:32Speaker 1: all the time, I can do one more man, I
- 7:35Speaker 1: could do one more day. I can do one more anything.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Now Here was the jewel that I never really knew
- 7:45Speaker 1: that Joel Oldstein and God sent to me I needed
- 7:50Speaker 1: to hear. He said that no matter what you're going through,
- 7:55Speaker 1: no matter how long the challenge is you've been facing,
- 7:59Speaker 1: God has an end date for it all. Did you
- 8:03Speaker 1: hear me? No matter what you're going through, no matter
- 8:06Speaker 1: what challenge you're facing, no matter what situation you've gotten
- 8:09Speaker 1: yourself into, God has an ending date. All you got
- 8:15Speaker 1: to do is keep pressing forward. All you got to
- 8:18Speaker 1: do is hanging now. All you got to do is
- 8:22Speaker 1: don't give up. All you have to do is don't
- 8:25Speaker 1: turn back. That is an end date for all of it,
- 8:30Speaker 1: even when you think you've had enough. And boy, have
- 8:35Speaker 1: I had this conversation with God on several things that
- 8:40Speaker 1: I've been going through, and I'm going I've even told him. Look,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I got it, man, he said, just keep hanging on.
- 8:49Speaker 1: There is an end date to whatever it is you're
- 8:52Speaker 1: going through. There's an end date to your illness, your sickness,
- 8:56Speaker 1: yo yo, tired of being tired. There's an end date
- 9:01Speaker 1: to this relationship that you can't seem to get through.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Beyond over that's that's like a cancer to you. There's
- 9:13Speaker 1: an end date. But you've got to hang in there.
- 9:17Speaker 1: You've got to keep pushing forward. You cannot turn around.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You must not go back, because when God gets you
- 9:25Speaker 1: through this and you break through to the other side,
- 9:30Speaker 1: the reward and the benefit is far greater than the struggle.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I oftentimes look at some of the things that God
- 9:40Speaker 1: has brought me through in my worst times, and when
- 9:44Speaker 1: he brought me through, I went, wow, man, now that
- 9:47Speaker 1: I understand that, Now that I'm on the other side
- 9:50Speaker 1: and I have the benefit of the reward for it,
- 9:53Speaker 1: would you do it all again to get there? Yes?
- 9:55Speaker 1: I would. You're listening to ah war war Lord. But
- 10:11Speaker 1: now I'm fine, ye Lord who nah lord? I am
- 10:39Speaker 1: for my lord, my lord. I have found the Steve
- 10:49Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show and fold that you was lost. Shelly
- 10:56Speaker 1: straw Beard, Oh thank God, I'm found. Good morning. I
- 11:00Speaker 1: call it Friday. Good morning. Steve never mad on a Friday.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Oh look at here. Ladies and gentlemen kills space. They
- 11:09Speaker 1: call him Julian morning mentor morning body, morning fat. And
- 11:14Speaker 1: I then Jaredity Brown. You didn't know that was me
- 11:20Speaker 1: on tambourine. That was me. Nobody else brings toys to work.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Nobody brings no ass to work. You got bull horns
- 11:31Speaker 1: and monic because good I ain't never seen nobody. When
- 11:35Speaker 1: he does show up, it's a damn party. Ladies and

- 11:44Speaker 1: It's Friday, baby, Let's get it. Let's have a tambourine
- 11:54Speaker 1: that worked to pull it out? Now you you came
- 12:01Speaker 1: more often, you know that. I thought it was part
- 12:05Speaker 1: of the work for a job description. Who comes to
- 12:11Speaker 1: work preparing? Yeah, and a harmonica? They got old band
- 12:16Speaker 1: stand quick. Now here is what I thought would be
- 12:21Speaker 1: a good idea for people in the workplace. And I
- 12:25Speaker 1: made us a suggestion on a zoom call, because whenever
- 12:31Speaker 1: I come in the room on zoom, I don't care
- 12:33Speaker 1: what it is. I just had a meeting with ABC
- 12:35Speaker 1: the other day, I make everybody on the zoom call
- 12:40Speaker 1: where they say, well, mister Harvey's here. I make everybody
- 12:43Speaker 1: clap because when we go to work, people clap. And
- 12:49Speaker 1: I think that all companies should implement this policy to
- 12:54Speaker 1: call it jesse O Day. And they nominate whose day
- 12:58Speaker 1: to be during the week, and when that person come
- 13:00Speaker 1: to work for the entire week, the entire office gives
- 13:05Speaker 1: them a round of applause when they come in. I'm
- 13:08Speaker 1: telling you the morale in the workplace and the culture
- 13:11Speaker 1: we're changing, Missley, and you all would find out the
- 13:14Speaker 1: sheer joy of coming to work in the morning with
- 13:17Speaker 1: the rod of aprop ladies and gentlemen. Steve Harvey, thank you,
- 13:24Speaker 1: thank you. I thank you so much. I can't tell
- 13:28Speaker 1: y'all how that makes me feel. And I think all

- 16:55Speaker 1: don't want to bust the wrong to pull up in
- 16:57Speaker 1: my driveway by mistake. I do everything my daughter. My
- 17:00Speaker 1: daughter don't have no walt on the kneeds. I put
- 17:03Speaker 1: shoes on her feet, cobbles on her back, shooting or something.

- 17:08Speaker 1: I don't. My daughter don't need you with out. I

- 17:31Speaker 1: wish I would catch you up in my daughter's school.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You ain't picking up my daughter. Man, I don't even
- 17:36Speaker 1: know who the hell you are. I told you my

- 17:42Speaker 1: you what, man, I don't want you know where near

- 18:21Speaker 1: up pop tarts, and I've only had two of them
- 18:23Speaker 1: pop tarts, man, that's all. You ain't supposed to be

- 19:45Speaker 1: N you hear me? The only thing I'm gonna deal
- 19:46Speaker 1: with you is my foot up, Yo, that's a man
- 19:48Speaker 1: to deal with. Man. I got one more thing I
- 19:50Speaker 1: need to say to you. Man. I don't want to
- 19:52Speaker 1: hear nothing else you got to say. Player, I didn't
- 19:54Speaker 1: heard everything you had to say. Let me tell you something, man.

- 30:35Speaker 1: they look forward to the office holiday party. Yeah. Uh, huh.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Although although they would give that up to get a
- 30:44Speaker 1: bonus or more vacation Back to the bonus, yeah keeps
- 30:51Speaker 1: coming up. Man, we stop a Christmas park why cause
- 30:57Speaker 1: of an incident at the part? I loud to see
- 31:02Speaker 1: old or the company to stand up and give us speech.
- 31:07Speaker 1: He still have made the statement that when he prayed,
- 31:09Speaker 1: he prayed to himself, that stopped all Christmas parties. The
- 31:15Speaker 1: room got quiet. And this, folks, is not a joke.
- 31:20Speaker 1: This actually happened. He prayed a hoop to myself. That's why.
- 31:30Speaker 1: That's why you shut that down. I'm scared because he
- 31:33Speaker 1: didn't replace it with anything. Though we didn't get our
- 31:36Speaker 1: bonus or or more vacation time. He actually cost you
- 31:43Speaker 1: all your extra activities. Now did he did he give
- 31:46Speaker 1: us a bonus before? Or did you give us one?
- 31:49Speaker 1: I can't remember. Okay Na, see some job, some jobs
- 31:55Speaker 1: give you like turkeys, and we give out. We give
- 32:00Speaker 1: all our turkeys away and thanksgiving to the less fortunate,
- 32:04Speaker 1: right right ya? Which is a great which is that
- 32:08Speaker 1: makes us less fortunate? The CEO, Well, the reason you
- 32:14Speaker 1: don't qualify for a bonus is because all of you
- 32:18Speaker 1: have multiple supplemental income you're causing me. You're not supposed
- 32:23Speaker 1: to look at that? What what do you think he

- 33:30Speaker 1: don't and I would be happy to cook for you, okay,
- 33:35Speaker 1: I would. You don't want to kill the CEO. So
- 33:41Speaker 1: this is what we want to ask. Everyone does our
- 33:44Speaker 1: office does the office does the CEO? And everyone? Do
- 33:47Speaker 1: you think they do a good job of bringing holidays
- 33:49Speaker 1: here to our workplace. No, not this office. I'm sorry.

- 44:24Speaker 1: name is Paul, Paul, I'm head of security here. How
- 44:28Speaker 1: are you? This is yeah? You um, you actually came
- 44:32Speaker 1: out and you I think you were here on Friday. Uh,
- 44:36Speaker 1: and you came out and purchased four flat Treen televisions
- 44:40Speaker 1: forty forty two inches, am. I correct, yeah, but what's
- 44:44Speaker 1: your kind to be fun? What I was giving you
- 44:46Speaker 1: a call for, Sharon, is that we got a bit
- 44:47Speaker 1: of a problem now when you purchase these actual flat
- 44:52Speaker 1: treen televisions on Black Friday, so to speak, it seems
- 44:56Speaker 1: that we've got them. Um, well, your your purchase went
- 45:00Speaker 1: through successfully, I will admit that, but there should have
- 45:03Speaker 1: been a red flag that have gone up because we're
- 45:06Speaker 1: going back over transactions of the past two three days
- 45:09Speaker 1: here and we're realizing that your purchase should not have
- 45:13Speaker 1: been successful. It should have been. Boy, your credit card
- 45:16Speaker 1: is actually not valid at all now now my credit
- 45:19Speaker 1: card because oh we got paid on Wednesday, so my
- 45:22Speaker 1: money was there. Well actually, ma'am, I'm What I'm trying
- 45:26Speaker 1: to explain to you is that it is coming up
- 45:29Speaker 1: in valid now and we're having a problem with it.
- 45:32Speaker 1: So I wanted to reach out to you and give
- 45:34Speaker 1: you a call and see if we could probably. You know,
- 45:38Speaker 1: it was valid when I was at their radius because
- 45:40Speaker 1: it went through. I got a receipt and everything I
- 45:42Speaker 1: am purchaed that it dinga warranted on all poem, so
- 45:45Speaker 1: it was valid on Friday. I don't know what's wrong
- 45:48Speaker 1: with it today. But it was good then, and I
- 45:50Speaker 1: understand that. I understand that that, you know, just being
- 45:53Speaker 1: at the register and you're purchasing it and no problems
- 45:56Speaker 1: at all happening. That's pretty much the thought process that
- 45:58Speaker 1: you're gonna have when I'm you know, is on the
- 46:01Speaker 1: on the back part of it, when you came into
- 46:03Speaker 1: the store. What we're getting the day the day after
- 46:07Speaker 1: is that it was pretty much invalid. It wasn't good
- 46:10Speaker 1: at all. Your credit card was not good at all.
- 46:12Speaker 1: But you need to call your bank then, because I
- 46:15Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you. You know, I had
- 46:18Speaker 1: the money and there the day I went about them,
- 46:20Speaker 1: and that fit for me. So I don't know who
- 46:23Speaker 1: you need to call, But don't call me because you
- 46:25Speaker 1: know they ain't been in my problem. Okay, you know what,
- 46:28Speaker 1: I'm not gonna I'm not gonna raise this to be
- 46:29Speaker 1: a major problem. We're gonna try to rectify it and
- 46:32Speaker 1: get it taken care of. Yeah, do what you need
- 46:34Speaker 1: to do. Okay, listen, now here's what we're gonna do.
- 46:37Speaker 1: You know what, I wanted to try to work this
- 46:39Speaker 1: out as smoothly as we can. What I'm gonna have
- 46:41Speaker 1: to ask you to do. Can I get you to
- 46:44Speaker 1: come back up to the store and bring all four
- 46:47Speaker 1: televisions with you? No, now, you sure can't. The baby. Look,
- 46:51Speaker 1: I bought them for TVs. I have read one of
- 46:54Speaker 1: them up this under the tree from my hook my
- 46:56Speaker 1: mama early. She already got the other TV. We hunt
- 46:59Speaker 1: that up for home series when we was watching movie.
- 47:02Speaker 1: So it didn't really. Ain't no way we're gonna bring
- 47:04Speaker 1: the po TVs back. I think you should go back
- 47:06Speaker 1: to Wealth process your credit cards and tell them that
- 47:09Speaker 1: they that. I don't know what you're gonna tell them,
- 47:11Speaker 1: but you need to go back to them. I ain't
- 47:13Speaker 1: got time to be running back and forth to this store.
- 47:15Speaker 1: I don't want to. I don't want us to create
- 47:17Speaker 1: a problem here. I don't want to do that happen
- 47:20Speaker 1: that you need to lower your voice. Okay, but look,
- 47:23Speaker 1: you need to go back to wherever do your credit
- 47:26Speaker 1: cards because they went through when I was at the stop. Correct,

- 52:50Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry letter Thank you subject I can't
- 52:53Speaker 1: call her husband daddy. Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a
- 52:57Speaker 1: twenty eight year old female and I have a five
- 53:00Speaker 1: seven year old male mentor that I work with. He
- 53:04Speaker 1: has given me great advice and helped me through some
- 53:06Speaker 1: obstacles in my life. This is the first man that
- 53:09Speaker 1: has ever treated me with respect and did not try
- 53:11Speaker 1: to sleep with me. He is like a father figure
- 53:15Speaker 1: to me, and I call myself his play daughter. The
- 53:18Speaker 1: only problem is his wife. He knew that I did
- 53:23Speaker 1: not have The only problem is his wife. He knew
- 53:27Speaker 1: that I did not have any plans for Thanksgiving dinner,
- 53:30Speaker 1: so he invited me to his home. He never talked
- 53:33Speaker 1: much about his wife, but I figured she would be
- 53:35Speaker 1: just as sweet as he is. I took a bottle
- 53:37Speaker 1: of moscato with me as a thank you for the
- 53:39Speaker 1: dinner invitation. His wife greeted me, and she was polite,
- 53:43Speaker 1: but not very talkative. She was finishing up dinner while
- 53:48Speaker 1: my play dad and I had a glass of wine
- 53:50Speaker 1: and watched the game in the din I must have
- 53:53Speaker 1: given off the wrong vibes because his wife seemed to
- 53:56Speaker 1: get irritated with me quickly. It didn't help that I
- 54:00Speaker 1: had on a crop top and leggings and they were
- 54:02Speaker 1: dressed nicely. The next thing I knew, his wife stormed
- 54:06Speaker 1: into the den and started going off. She started with,
- 54:10Speaker 1: what is this play door to mess? It went downhill
- 54:13Speaker 1: from there. My play dad did not defend me. Instead,
- 54:16Speaker 1: he fixed me a to go plate and asked me
- 54:19Speaker 1: to leave. I was shocked and hurt, and I can't
- 54:23Speaker 1: believe he let her go off on us like that.
- 54:26Speaker 1: I think she owes me an apology. Now he's been
- 54:29Speaker 1: distant at work, and I don't know what to say
- 54:31Speaker 1: to him. I hope that we can still have a
- 54:33Speaker 1: cool relationship. Stephen Shirley, how should I handle this? All? Right? Now? Listen,
- 54:38Speaker 1: I know you're young, You're only twenty eight years old,
- 54:41Speaker 1: but really, though you know the letter you wrote made
- 54:44Speaker 1: you sound pretty innocent and sincere in the fact that
- 54:48Speaker 1: you feel he's a play dad to you. I'm gonna
- 54:50Speaker 1: give you the benefit of the of the doubt for that,
- 54:53Speaker 1: but you're going about this in the entire wrong way. Okay,
- 54:58Speaker 1: you don't go to another woman's house dressed like that,
- 55:01Speaker 1: a crop top and leggings. I mean it was dinner,
- 55:04Speaker 1: Come on, not just any dinner. This was Thanksgiving dinner.
- 55:09Speaker 1: People usually dress up, you know, if they invite you out,
- 55:11Speaker 1: you look presentable. Haven't you heard the saying first impressions
- 55:15Speaker 1: or lasting and all of that? What was his wife
- 55:18Speaker 1: supposed to think? Which you looking like that? I mean,
- 55:21Speaker 1: as my mother would say, fanning around her husband. And
- 55:24Speaker 1: then you go into the din with him to watch
- 55:27Speaker 1: the game, just the two of you. No, no, well,
- 55:31Speaker 1: why weren't you in the kitchen with her, you know,
- 55:33Speaker 1: at least trying to help her out? Why didn't you
- 55:35Speaker 1: offer even if she said no, you stay with her?
- 55:39Speaker 1: You know, And what she did is what a lot
- 55:41Speaker 1: of wives would have done, quite frankly in this situation,
- 55:44Speaker 1: because it just doesn't look right. You guys in the
- 55:47Speaker 1: din watching the game while she she owes you nothing.
- 55:51Speaker 1: She doesn't owe you an apology. You're not going to
- 55:53Speaker 1: get one, so stop looking for that. And you can
- 55:55Speaker 1: believe he got an earful after you left about who
- 55:58Speaker 1: are you? What's his play daughter? Mesk I bet you
- 56:01Speaker 1: are playing with her, you know, all of that, playing around,
- 56:04Speaker 1: all of that that's why he's been distant at work. Okay,
- 56:07Speaker 1: and he will probably say that way, uh, if he
- 56:10Speaker 1: knows what's good for him. So for your sake, I
- 56:13Speaker 1: hope this was a lesson learned about you know how
- 56:17Speaker 1: to act around someone's wife. Okay, Steve, Okay, Shirley. Everything
- 56:24Speaker 1: you said is correct. As a matter of fact, you
- 56:27Speaker 1: told her the correct way to behave all right, Come on, now,
- 56:33Speaker 1: let's just go and tell the truth. This old ass,
- 56:38Speaker 1: out of shape woman jealous insecure you over here with
- 56:44Speaker 1: the leggings ow. She can't find no leggings that she
- 56:50Speaker 1: can well that look like the ones you had. She
- 56:54Speaker 1: can't find it. Unifout your ass over here own thanksgiving.
- 56:58Speaker 1: He like a father figure. The you a little lot
- 57:01Speaker 1: of shape, ain't what she was mad about it? So
- 57:05Speaker 1: now he invited you to his home. He ain't said
- 57:09Speaker 1: nothing about his wife. Most men don't bring up crazy people. Yeah,
- 57:13Speaker 1: we don't gonna man show. Enjoyed talking to you because
- 57:16Speaker 1: this helper our live with. But I figured she would
- 57:20Speaker 1: be just as sweet as he was. I took a
- 57:23Speaker 1: botta moscatto with me to took a botta moscatto with
- 57:28Speaker 1: me as a thank you for the dinner invitation. Let
- 57:30Speaker 1: me explain something to you. Hood people ain't really up
- 57:34Speaker 1: on moscatto. You had to take something else, Morgan David
- 57:40Speaker 1: Man of chev and in greens gree Yeah, something like that.
- 57:48Speaker 1: You got to take some spanyarding. Oh that spanyard. You
- 57:54Speaker 1: had to take something that's really good leading something where
- 57:57Speaker 1: she would go, oh, but you know, you over there
- 58:00Speaker 1: with your little up in the cute ass talking about
- 58:02Speaker 1: some bottle of muscato. Don't nobody in here drank musquito?
- 58:11Speaker 1: What she gotta be that and drink in a cheap
- 58:18Speaker 1: as bottle of musquito? You rug, why don't you? Ja
- 58:22Speaker 1: brains some off with it. His wife greeted me, and
- 58:26Speaker 1: she was polite, but not very talking. She was finishing
- 58:31Speaker 1: up dinner while my playdad and I see now listen
- 58:35Speaker 1: to me, key words. She was finishing up dinner. Yes,
- 58:39Speaker 1: listen to me. She wasn't in that washing dishes. Her
- 58:42Speaker 1: big ass was still at the table eating everybody else too.
- 58:49Speaker 1: She and that finishing up dinner. Yeah, I thought she
- 58:52Speaker 1: meant she was still cooking it. Yeah, she was still
- 58:55Speaker 1: cooking it. Uh, she was putting purposes. Yeah, she was
- 59:02Speaker 1: finishing up dinner. With my play dad. I had a
- 59:04Speaker 1: glass of wine and watched the game in the day.
- 59:07Speaker 1: You don't watch the game after you week? All right,
- 59:11Speaker 1: hang on, Steve, all right, we'll come back from part two.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I think at twenty three after the hour, the subject
- 59:17Speaker 1: is I can't call her husband daddy. Right after this,

- 59:56Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letters. Subject I can't call at her true
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: is about nasty. This letter is about nasty attitude from
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: a certain woman. And I'm just trying to draw attention
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: to what I think this attitude is. Young girl, still
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: got it going on? Stuff still sitting up older lady
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: at the house. Everything that failed. So don't get mad
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: at me because I'm in here giving you another angle.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: This is an angle of a strawberry letter that I'm doing.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: And my mama was a full figured woman, so that
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: ain't what this is about. I love my mama before
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I loved anybody. This is about this evil health for
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: right here is either because this lady thought that he
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: was gonna be sweet just like her play daddy chief
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: in to be your play mama. The sitting up in here.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: The only problem his wife had invited y'all. The thanks
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: never dinner he did because he never talked about his wife,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: because he's scared of he lived in fifth Why would
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: you bring that up? Why is he afraid of his wife?
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Steve called something wrong with him. She's been sliding off
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: as the years go back. She's only fifty seven. Steve,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: You've seen some fifty seven year olds that look eighty.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: You have seen a lot of fifty seven year olds
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: look seventy. I think that's the case. I took a
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: bottle of muscato over there, that's way too bush for
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: hood people, and she come in here with this bottle
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: of musquito, Scott Muscato. Ain't nobody bought you no damn
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: bottle of musquito. Let's she thinking all the wine she
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: could have had, Andy Green ball of coat, could have
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: bought a forty of Mickey's. All up. You set up
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: and bought this cheap musquito. She his wife, greeted me.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: She was polite, but not very talking. She was finishing
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: up dinner while my play Dann and I had a
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: glass of wine and watched the game. And it did
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you know, we don't watch the game to after we
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: eat and you got a glass of wine and the
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: watching the game. She and that finishing up dinner. She
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: was sitting there at the table eating another plate. This
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: my husband, herman know I had three servings, three servings.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: He didn't took your skin ass in there watching the
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: damn game. What does she have on? St leggings and
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: she leggings and a crop top. To her tell me
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: where her belly was out? She sitting up in there.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: It got a housecoat on from Walmart. Thanksgiving dinner. Yeah,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: that you just slide over your head. It's a one piece.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a tent. She take them curlers out and
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: then call that now she are and she tried to
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: look at high. Now you're not sitting up with your play.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Dad had a glass of wine watching the game in
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: the den, just the two of them. But they ended
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: then they weren't in the bedroom. They ended, damn den. Well,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: then she said, I must have given off the wrong
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: vibe them tight ass pays you damn right, you sitting
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: up and here with these leggings on. Because she's sitting
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: over there with a pair of dockers on looking just
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: light leggings. Doctor I She said they were dressed nicely.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: She said, I had on a crop topping leggings and
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: they were dressed nicely. Okay, Because his wife seemed to
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: get irritated with me quickly. It didn't help that I
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: had on a crop top and some legger. They were
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: dressed nicely. Next thing I know, she stormed to the
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: den and going off, she stayed with what is this play? Daughter? Man? Yes,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: I'm in the den, she said, mass but she didn't
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: say and it went down, what is this play? Daughter?
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Sugar honey? Iced team sugar honey, iced team? You ain't
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: no damn played daughter sitting there with your own ass playing?
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: It went down here from there. Your play. Dad did
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: not defend me. He can't can't take her for you
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: in her house tilder and came up in here raising hell,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: what's her name? Tilda? Till Tiller came in here? Damn.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Then then instead he fixed me to go play and
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: asked me to leave right there. I told you the
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: food would finny. He didn't, got some fall and made
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: her playing baby, baby, you're go ahead. I was shocked
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: and her. She invited her to dinner here. Everybody take
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: it to go play something to remember the day by.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I was shocked and her and can't believe he let
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: her go off on on us like that. Wait a minute, No, no,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: it was you. He can't stop at What you cannot
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: do is defending another woman to your wife. I think
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: she owes me an apology, And where you think she's
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: gonna give you this apology? Because you're better not take
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: your hands back over there, because all this was was
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: a warning shot. You just set that long enough you'd
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: been you'd have been on the news. You'd have been
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: on the ten o'clock news that night. This a Houston
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: letter right here. Now, he'd been distant at work, told
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: you he was scared of him. I hope we can
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: still have a cool relationship. That's over you, Stephen Sherley,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: How should I handle this? Don't go back over the

- 1:11:52Speaker 1: father that whatever. I've had those moments. So, yeah, Jake,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: didn't you say to yourself when you know you what
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: is it when you're looking in the mirror and you're
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: out of shape? Yeah, I'm not going to this clean
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: as anymore because they are shrinking. Damn, I know they are.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I know they're shrinking much. When you have to shape
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: that beer, you need to build your confidence up. Let's
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: say something like that. She like it though, she likes
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: things you say to yourself in them. Okay, uh oh
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: she and the way don't mean, ain't no way. I'm

- 1:12:51Speaker 1: shirt can't come up. I'm butt naked with a shirt on.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: I'm just talking, all right, Steve, stay yourself, you're standing
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: that neck it in the mirror. Oh hell no, here

- 1:19:14Speaker 1: have some closing remarks all that's coming up at forty
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: nine after the hour. Right after this you're listening to
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: show Steve Harvey, you've brought your fabulous and very insightful,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: very informal, very motivating closing remarks. Back is something that
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: you started years ago when you first started the Steve
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, and people have grown to love them
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: and you know, to live by them and be inspired
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: by them. So what do you have for us yesterday?
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: A real good piece of motivation and makes your quest
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: to become successful a little bit simpler. You know, oftentimes
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: people are stuck in a rut because they can't think,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: they way clear to see the end result. What I
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: mean by is, some people make lofty goals and then
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: they sit there without a plan of attack to achieve
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: that lofty goal, until they've created a goal that seemed
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: so daunting that they don't even start the process of
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: a trying to accomplish it. For example. And this doesn't
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: have to be the case. I'm just using this as
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: an example. Let's say you want to be a millionaire
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: and you say, wow, I want to make a million dollars,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: and then you start thinking of how to make the
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: million dollars, and because you can't, it becomes so daunting.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Making a million dollars is difficult. If it were easy,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: wouldn't you do it by Friday? Wouldn't you? Of course
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: you would, But it's a little more difficult than that.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: So here's what I had to learn in my life.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: Everybody listening to this was born with a gift. It's
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: inside of you. Because God is very fair. He didn't
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: put it on a mountaintop. He didn't hide it under
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: rob It's in you, and your gift is the thing
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: that you do to absolute best with the least amount
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: of effort. In that lies your greatest chance for success.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: There's a scripture that says your gift will make room
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: for you and put you in the presence of great men.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Let's just look at the first part of it. Your
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: gift will make room for you. My interpretation of that
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: has meant what my gift has done for me. It
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: has allowed me to spread out, it has taken me
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: places I never dreamed I gold. Your gift will do
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: the same thing for you. So now let's just talk
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: about your ability to get to the million. I think
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: it's what your gift because if that's what that he
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: gave you and instill that you at birth, was to
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: make room for you, here's your chance. Now how do
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: I do that? Steve? I call it to maximize your
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: effort by ten theory. It's just something I came up
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: with driving when I was home listening, coming up with
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: to make it, and I discovered something. All of you
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: have something that some will pay you ten dollars to do.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: Some of you paint. Some of you teach, some of
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: your babysit tutors. Some of you work with your hands,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: some of you can sing, some of you can choreograph.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: Some of you there's so many things. Cut grass, play
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: the piano, some of you do something. Some of y'all
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: work on cars, some of y'all dry. But all of
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: you have something that you will do that someone will
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: give you ten dollars to do. All of you have
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: something that someone will pay you ten dollars to because
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: you do something that someone else can't do. So now
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: all you gotta do instead of trying to figure out
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: how to make a million dollars, it's go make the
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: ten dollars that you're able to make it. Once you
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: make that ten dollars, I want you to do it
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: ten more times. When you do it ten more times,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: you now have one hundred dollars. Once you have a
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: hundred dollars, it's very simple. Do the same thing you
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: did to make thee hundred dollars ten more times. You
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: now have one thousand dollars. See, you don't have to
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: keep thinking of something else to do. Just keep doing
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: the same thing that you've been doing. Just do it
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: multiply the effort. It's the effort that maximizes and brings
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: about the fruition of what your life can be. So,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: if you make a thousand dollars and you do that
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: ten more times, I have news for you. Now have
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars. Now. Now, in order to make a
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: one hundred thousand, you might need a little bit of help.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: You might need to hire somebody and help you do
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: the thing that you do. But if you make ten
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: thousand dollars and you do what you did to make
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars, which is the same thing you did
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: to make ten dollars, if you do it ten more times,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: you now have one hundred thousand dollars. Now listen to me,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: my friends. Once you have a hundred thousand dollars, I
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: could assure you you are going to need help because
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: in order to maximize one hundred thousand dollars, you have
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: to have some like minded people around you. Nobody gets
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: to the top alone. Nobody becomes successful and wealthy by themselves.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: They formed partnerships, relationships, they get employees. But once you
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: make a one hundred thousand dollars doing the same thing
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: you did to make ten dollars if you do it
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: ten more times, I have news for you, my friends. Congratulations,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: you have just made one million dollars with a ten
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: dollar idea. Stop trying to figure out how to make
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: the million. What all you gotta do is take your
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: ten dollars gift that God has put in you. It's
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: a million dollar gift that you have. You just haven't
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: broken it down inch by inch anythings as sinch and
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: maximize the efforts. That's how you become successful. These jokes
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: that pay me what I make now, it's the same
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: jokes that pay me twenty five dollars a night. They're
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: the same jokes. It's all English. This is not in
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: another language. I don't know no more words now than
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: I knew then. I've taken these twenty five dollars jokes
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: and I maximize them over and over and over and
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: over and over and over and over. It's the same
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: jokes I was telling. Babysitters who charge fifty dollars to
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: watch kids. Babysitters end up opening up daycare centers. Daycare
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: centers turned into franchises, crime dollar crime monastory schools. These
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: are national franchises. Somebody was just babysitting. My partner used
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: to cut grass fust three dollars in the front, three
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: dollars in the back. He got a landscape coming to Cleveland.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: He made four million dollars a year. You know what
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: he do, He cut grass, same six dollars grass cutting
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: he's been doing. You check out some trucks. Now, what
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: is it that you do that somebody will pay you
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: ten dollars that you can maximize your effort for and
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: turn it into your million. But trying to figure out
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: how to make the million. Take your ten dollars skills
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: set and start hammering it and beating it and working
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: it and grinding and hustling and multiplying and magnifying it,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: and you'll make a million dollars. That's my closing remarks.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: Thank y'all very much. Thanks all right now, thought boy, Yeah,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: y'all have a great week. Here For all Steve Harvey contests,
