- 2:10Speaker 1: to discuss the twin anniversary edition of a New York
- 2:13Speaker 1: Times bestselling cookbook Patty Labelle's LaBelle Cuisine recipes to sing about.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Plus we're talking about her singing career. They impacked up
- 2:21Speaker 1: COVID eighteen her successful food lines. If anybody's following me
- 2:25Speaker 1: on my social media, you know I posted so many
- 2:27Speaker 1: times by going to Walmart picking up our stuff and
- 2:30Speaker 1: selling in our easy it is to make you know.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And then I was watching TV. I saw her in
- 2:34Speaker 1: the old spice commercial. This one was everywhere. Pat Labell's
- 2:38Speaker 1: referred to as the god mother soul. You know her music.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Here's some of my favorites. You are my friends. If
- 2:45Speaker 1: only you knew new attitude on my own and stir
- 2:49Speaker 1: it Up. That's just a few. Those are my favorites. Now,
- 2:51Speaker 1: I know y'all got your favorites out there. I'm just
- 2:52Speaker 1: talking about Rachean McDonald. I said the last song stirred Up,
- 2:55Speaker 1: because we're about stir it up. Please working on money
- 2:58Speaker 1: making conversations, Patty A bell Sha, how are you also? Also? Patty?
- 3:05Speaker 1: I know you have a long day and the fact
- 3:07Speaker 1: you're taking time to talk to my fan baits on
- 3:09Speaker 1: money making conversation is pretty amazing. How are you doing?
- 3:13Speaker 1: I am wonderful. I can't complain, that's for sure. Now
- 3:19Speaker 1: broadly looking, let's get straight to it, because I've never
- 3:21Speaker 1: on money making conversation had desserts and on my desk okay,
- 3:26Speaker 1: And the twentie year anniversary of you, I got a
- 3:28Speaker 1: PCN pie that I made this morning, straight out of
- 3:31Speaker 1: your book, okay. And then I a peach collar I
- 3:34Speaker 1: reworked at rashaan Stock because I like peach cobblers in
- 3:37Speaker 1: that pie shape. But you do your peach cob like
- 3:40Speaker 1: eight inch square pan, put them peaches in there, then
- 3:44Speaker 1: you laid some dough down. Did you put the more
- 3:46Speaker 1: peaches than that? Did you put that dough on the top,
- 3:48Speaker 1: put a little ground sentiment on top? Whoa, you're doing it?
- 3:53Speaker 1: You're talking about go ahead? Or you doing that? Any
- 3:56Speaker 1: kind of pop pan or whatever he's col comes out
- 4:00Speaker 1: to say, but your recipes, Patty, which is let's talk
- 4:04Speaker 1: about this. You know, I go through the book and
- 4:07Speaker 1: it's it's it's more than just desert by the way, everybody,
- 4:09Speaker 1: I just happened to do desserts. You know, you got
- 4:11Speaker 1: anywhere from Patty's say the salad that pass it old
- 4:15Speaker 1: pass it own pot rolls and all these different things,
- 4:18Speaker 1: but there's a lot of easy recipes. Let's go back
- 4:21Speaker 1: for a minute twenty years ago. This is the twenty
- 4:24Speaker 1: anniversary of this book. Why we release it now because
- 4:29Speaker 1: it's worthy. Twenty years ago it was it was a
- 4:32Speaker 1: great book. People learned to cook from this book. And
- 4:35Speaker 1: so after twenty years I figured out would add some
- 4:37Speaker 1: new recipes, some new photos of my little grand babies
- 4:40Speaker 1: who are not here back in the day and twenty
- 4:42Speaker 1: years ago, they're here now. And it's just one delotment.
- 4:47Speaker 1: The new recipes are great, but people love to see
- 4:51Speaker 1: me at the airport and say, Patty, I followed your
- 4:52Speaker 1: macaroni and cheese recipe and it came out perfectly. So
- 4:56Speaker 1: if you follow the book, you'll learn how to cook, okay,
- 4:59Speaker 1: And if you don't know how to cook, get the book.
- 5:01Speaker 1: But that that's what I that's why I did what
- 5:03Speaker 1: I did, just wanted on the show because a lot
- 5:06Speaker 1: of people are intimidated by the cooking process. They can
- 5:09Speaker 1: go in the kitchen and just shut down and and
- 5:12Speaker 1: and sometimes you get some cookbooks they can't look complicated.
- 5:15Speaker 1: But your book stories and they talk about the process
- 5:19Speaker 1: of putting together easy to follow cookbook. Well it's been
- 5:24Speaker 1: in my life. Uh. My mother and father they cooked
- 5:28Speaker 1: every day of their lives when they were married, you know,
- 5:31Speaker 1: before they divorced. They still cook solo. And I watched
- 5:33Speaker 1: them both cook great recipes and food and that when
- 5:37Speaker 1: I began to cook, I took their recipes and enhance
- 5:41Speaker 1: them with a few other spices and different things that
- 5:44Speaker 1: I wanted and that recipe and it's been great. And
- 5:48Speaker 1: I would always say to people when they want to say, Patty,
- 5:50Speaker 1: how do you make this? I always say, don't use
- 5:52Speaker 1: a measuring cup. It's soul drops that you use when
- 5:55Speaker 1: you cook. No teaspoons, table spoons. Just dump it in
- 5:59Speaker 1: and feel it. And then UH say, I'm gonna add this,
- 6:02Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna add a tablespoonful. And the measuring
- 6:05Speaker 1: cup gets in the way of greatness. I think, well,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell you this. I'm starting to get there, Patty,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm not there yet. Now Now on the food. Now
- 6:14Speaker 1: on beans, and if they beans, that's how I cook.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I can't tell you I'm a salt. I put in
- 6:19Speaker 1: some black eyed peas or red beans or pinto beans.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I just do that whole thing. I throw some hall
- 6:25Speaker 1: opinions in there, I can tell you eight hallow beans
- 6:28Speaker 1: chapter I just do that by field. Now on the
- 6:31Speaker 1: baking side, I kind of stay strictly to the recipe
- 6:35Speaker 1: for fear factor, because you can go off a little bit.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I would say that, would you agree, you could go
- 6:42Speaker 1: off a little and stuff. But with the bait items,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you have to stay a little close to the recipe. Yes,
- 6:47Speaker 1: you're right, right, And so you bake that beautiful peace cop.
- 6:50Speaker 1: It's finally here, the season of celebration. And no matter
- 6:54Speaker 1: how you celebrate with family and friends, whether you're preparing
- 6:58Speaker 1: for reys magos or Karamu lighting the manura, are going
- 7:01Speaker 1: to midnight mass, Coals has just what you need to
- 7:04Speaker 1: make those traditions special. Plus you'll find gifts for all
- 7:08Speaker 1: your loved ones. Send warm wishes with cozy fleeces, sweaters, loungeware,
- 7:13Speaker 1: blankets and throws. Support minority owned or founded brands by
- 7:17Speaker 1: giving gifts from Human Nation and Shame moisture, or treat
- 7:20Speaker 1: them to everyone's favorite active wear from top brands like Nike, Adidas,
- 7:25Speaker 1: and under Armor. And in the spirit of giving, Coals
- 7:28Speaker 1: Cares is donating eight million dollars to local nonprofits nationwide,
- 7:32Speaker 1: committed to the health and well being of our communities.
- 7:35Speaker 1: No matter how you celebrate, when you shop at coals,
- 7:39Speaker 1: you're right where you belong. So this season, give with
- 7:42Speaker 1: all your heart with great gifts from Coals or coals

- 8:18Speaker 1: the forest trees? Sure you know what else grows in
- 8:21Speaker 1: the forest. Our imagination, our sense of wonder, and our
- 8:25Speaker 1: family bonds grow too, because when we disconnect from this
- 8:31Speaker 1: and connect with this, we reconnect with each other. The

- 8:38Speaker 1: you and start exploring. I Discover the Forest dot org
- 8:42Speaker 1: brought to you by the United States Forest Service and
- 8:45Speaker 1: the AD Council. Well, I would just tell you something.
- 8:47Speaker 1: This is how you help me Because I'm a big
- 8:50Speaker 1: fan of the corn pies, and like you, I watched
- 8:54Speaker 1: my mom in the kitchen, and when I started making,
- 8:58Speaker 1: really about eight years ago that started baking Patty and
- 9:01Speaker 1: Steve Harvey pranked me on our talk show and that's
- 9:04Speaker 1: how he didn't think I could bake a cake, and
- 9:05Speaker 1: I wind up baking three. And I've been baking every
- 9:08Speaker 1: since and having a lot of fun in it. And
- 9:10Speaker 1: so I had always struggled with how to do beacon
- 9:14Speaker 1: posts because what I was doing wrong until I read
- 9:17Speaker 1: your book, and this is on the story. I would
- 9:19Speaker 1: always you know, you get the Carrol serve because you
- 9:21Speaker 1: usually like Carrol serve, and then uh, and I would
- 9:24Speaker 1: put use three eggs and another extract, and you put
- 9:28Speaker 1: it all together, and I would I would mix my
- 9:33Speaker 1: beacons in with that and stir it up, and so
- 9:37Speaker 1: and so and so. But your book, but it would
- 9:40Speaker 1: always never float to the top, you know, because you
- 9:43Speaker 1: see pictures of beacon posts, the becomes are always at
- 9:46Speaker 1: the top, looking great and shining. I could never get that.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And then I read your book, and your book says Rashan, Well,
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm just speaking about Rashan. It says put the beacons
- 9:56Speaker 1: a cup and a half of the cons on the base.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Then you or your your syrup on top of that,
- 10:02Speaker 1: and the becomes would float to the top. Even the
- 10:05Speaker 1: old schooler like me learn something from this book. I
- 10:07Speaker 1: want you to tell you thank you, because I did
- 10:08Speaker 1: not know that you know what I have to say
- 10:12Speaker 1: to the Sean people love my sweepertator pie and my
- 10:16Speaker 1: pecom pie whatever. Always say that your mother and grandmother
- 10:19Speaker 1: probably makes a better one the mind. Mine is only
- 10:21Speaker 1: from my way of cooking, but it's not the best
- 10:24Speaker 1: in the world, that's for sure. So just use your
- 10:27Speaker 1: mind when you make your pecom pie. Yes, I used
- 10:30Speaker 1: my mind, but I needed your help. Because finally, my
- 10:33Speaker 1: bcome pie looks like the pie I grew up looking,
- 10:37Speaker 1: So you may not be my mom may not made
- 10:39Speaker 1: it look, but at least it looks like my mom
- 10:41Speaker 1: made So I'm happy with that. Now. One of the
- 10:43Speaker 1: expectations of this book going out. I know you. I
- 10:46Speaker 1: know you're telling the world about your book pad Labelle's
- 10:48Speaker 1: Labelle's Cuisine recipes to sing about, talk about that whole
- 10:53Speaker 1: essence of love that you you always radiate, that that
- 10:57Speaker 1: I feel that I can hug you. I know you
- 10:58Speaker 1: get a lot of hugs. Would really shut a lot
- 11:00Speaker 1: of that down. But I know people always feel they
- 11:03Speaker 1: could just sit down and talk to you, whether it's
- 11:05Speaker 1: a good story or a sad story, talk about that.
- 11:08Speaker 1: That that that love that people have, your fan base
- 11:10Speaker 1: or strangers have for you. It's such a great feeling. Um.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So many people call me Auntie mom. Uh. They put
- 11:21Speaker 1: me in their family and that's a compliment to me
- 11:24Speaker 1: because they really feel feel highly of Patty LaBelle and
- 11:27Speaker 1: they're loving on me like like crazy. I mean, ban
- 11:31Speaker 1: were like in the airport. They'll see me right and
- 11:34Speaker 1: they'll all quite there, afraid to say Hi, Patty, So
- 11:37Speaker 1: I say hey, they said, I said, I'm Patty, and
- 11:41Speaker 1: they'll come back and they'll hug and love. You know.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I never make a person feel less than a human
- 11:46Speaker 1: because we're all the same. My name is on the
- 11:49Speaker 1: Marquis and yours is not, but I still feel as
- 11:51Speaker 1: though we're equal, you know. And that's I've been getting
- 11:53Speaker 1: great love for for the last six years as I've
- 11:57Speaker 1: been performing true Love, honest love. Well, you know in
- 12:01Speaker 1: that in that range of different music that you put
- 12:04Speaker 1: out there, you know that the love the experience. If
- 12:07Speaker 1: anybody has not been to a concert featuring pad La Bill.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It's as a conferor. It's a conversation tell us, tell
- 12:14Speaker 1: us about your style of performance and has it changed
- 12:18Speaker 1: over the years. Oh, that's how Patty has always been. Oh,
- 12:20Speaker 1: you've got the courage and say, I'm going to be Patty.
- 12:23Speaker 1: This is the story I want to tell when I'm
- 12:25Speaker 1: on stage. Before me, when I'm on stage, I could
- 12:29Speaker 1: do fifty shows in a row. Every show will be different.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I've never seen that some the same way twice. I
- 12:36Speaker 1: never feel the audience the same way that I did
- 12:38Speaker 1: last night. The audience is different tonight, and I'll feel
- 12:41Speaker 1: certain things in the audience, and I'll talk to people,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and I get such a great uh reaction from from
- 12:48Speaker 1: my audiences. They're always like ready to cry, ready to laugh,
- 12:53Speaker 1: ready to for them to stand up and tell the truth.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And I stand on stage if my eyelast comes off,
- 12:58Speaker 1: of course you want to know it. If my she breaks,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna stop the show and said another pup of pumps.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I'm never afraid to be me on stage and being
- 13:06Speaker 1: shooting all problem. All that stuff, honey, is not me.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'm just a regular around the way girl. Every year,
- 13:12Speaker 1: compliance regulations change thousands of times, and every year adp
- 13:16Speaker 1: makes thousands of seamless platform updates so businesses can focus
- 13:20Speaker 1: on everything else, like running their business grow stronger with
- 13:23Speaker 1: ADP HR talent, time and payroll. And we're live here
- 13:28Speaker 1: outside the Perez family home, just waiting for the and
- 13:32Speaker 1: there they go, almost on time. This morning. Mom is
- 13:35Speaker 1: coming out the front door strong with a double arm
- 13:37Speaker 1: kid carry. Looks like Dad has the bags. Daughter is
- 13:40Speaker 1: bringing up the rear. Oh but the diaper bag wasn't closed.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Diapers and toys are everywhere. Oh but mom has just
- 13:49Speaker 1: nailed the perfect car seat buckle for the toddler. And
- 13:53Speaker 1: now the eldest daughter, who looks to be about nine
- 13:55Speaker 1: or ten, has secured herself in the booster seat. Dad
- 13:58Speaker 1: SIPs the bag clothes and they're off. But looks like
- 14:02Speaker 1: Mom doesn't realize her coffee cup is still on the
- 14:05Speaker 1: roof of the car and there it goes. Ah, that's
- 14:09Speaker 1: a shame that mug was a fan favorite. Don't sweat
- 14:12Speaker 1: the small stuff, just nailed the big stuff, like making
- 14:14Speaker 1: sure your kids are buckled correctly in the right seat

- 14:30Speaker 1: appreciate that Smokey's only said only you can prevent wildfires,
- 14:35Speaker 1: but I'm filling in because there's a lot more to report,
- 14:38Speaker 1: like when they're parched or windy conditions out there. You
- 14:41Speaker 1: gotta be extra careful with things like burning yard wage.
- 14:45Speaker 1: After all, wildfires can start anywhere, even in your neck

- 14:57Speaker 1: you know, I was a the Houston Arena Theater that's
- 15:01Speaker 1: in Houston, Texas. See three thousand show What's about and
- 15:05Speaker 1: your eye lash did come off, and and the funny
- 15:09Speaker 1: part about it, you know, it was just you know,
- 15:12Speaker 1: that's a gift because some people get thrown off by that.
- 15:15Speaker 1: They feel like they're they're faith, they feel like they're
- 15:18Speaker 1: they're showing a side of they need to be perfect
- 15:20Speaker 1: and all we talked about when we left that country,
- 15:22Speaker 1: not only was the great performance that you had in
- 15:24Speaker 1: the emotion, but boy, that that be she real, she
- 15:29Speaker 1: real girl. She let that I last stop her. And
- 15:32Speaker 1: right there and from the three thousand people you kept,
- 15:34Speaker 1: the show must go on. Oh, it has to go on.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Little things like that happens. They happen, naturally, they happen.
- 15:42Speaker 1: But don't be a shame and afraid to say, oh,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I just broke my pump on my stock and just
- 15:47Speaker 1: gotta run and say I've been doing all my six
- 15:51Speaker 1: years of singing on stage leasing myself. Wait when we're
- 15:55Speaker 1: releasing yourself in a great way. Because here I am
- 15:58Speaker 1: watching TV last day. I'm just gonna tell you the truth,
- 16:01Speaker 1: pat And watch the TV last night and the old
- 16:03Speaker 1: spice commercial comes home, all right, and one of our
- 16:06Speaker 1: popular couples that play in it, and he's talking about
- 16:09Speaker 1: the mom is visiting and using up all his old
- 16:12Speaker 1: spice and get to Pops on screen, Patty a little
- 16:15Speaker 1: bit looking good and with the attitude, tells how that
- 16:19Speaker 1: opportunity came to you? Because I laughed, laugh, I lave Okay,
- 16:26Speaker 1: the opportunity came about a month ago. They called my
- 16:29Speaker 1: my son's or he was my manager, and said would
- 16:32Speaker 1: your mom be interested in doing an old spice commercial?
- 16:35Speaker 1: And so I said why, I said, my father used
- 16:38Speaker 1: it all the men and my family use it for them.
- 16:41Speaker 1: They asked me to do an old spice commercial. Uh,
- 16:45Speaker 1: it just made my day. And we went out there
- 16:47Speaker 1: and we did it about three weeks ago, and it
- 16:49Speaker 1: was one of my fun moments with Dion and Gabby.
- 16:52Speaker 1: You know, he's crazy and I mean, and I want
- 16:55Speaker 1: to go over. He has my little row with those
- 16:57Speaker 1: little balls and he looks stupid. You know. I love
- 17:01Speaker 1: the way he looked. So I was happy to do it. Well,
- 17:04Speaker 1: you know, the funny part about it is that you know,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you know you're making me feel good because you've always
- 17:10Speaker 1: made me feel good. And then the fans you've always
- 17:12Speaker 1: made me made them feel good. But the little attitude
- 17:15Speaker 1: and you squirt out the old spice let them know
- 17:18Speaker 1: it's empty. Was that that was? Was that improv or?
- 17:22Speaker 1: They said, this is what they want you to do.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Did you put a little patty on it, a little pattism? Well, well,
- 17:27Speaker 1: patty stank. They wanted me to say that, and that's it.
- 17:33Speaker 1: And I had some other lines that I said, but
- 17:35Speaker 1: it hasn't been shown yet but it was off it
- 17:38Speaker 1: was scripted. I was good. I didn't go off script
- 17:40Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't stop too much. No, just my attitude,
- 17:44Speaker 1: you know as well, when you're naturally funny. That's gonna
- 17:48Speaker 1: say that. But you've also drew on drama roles in
- 17:51Speaker 1: your life. Is there a uh, is there a a
- 17:55Speaker 1: favorite or style of acting you prefer the comedy or
- 17:59Speaker 1: the drama or and if so, which has been your
- 18:01Speaker 1: favorite role that you played over the years. Well, I
- 18:05Speaker 1: love I love the drama. I don't consider myself a
- 18:08Speaker 1: comedian or funny or anything like that. So playing Queen
- 18:12Speaker 1: Land thief's mother on Star and Brandy's mother being a roughneck,
- 18:16Speaker 1: a ghetto mom, I really like that. I love being
- 18:19Speaker 1: a minister on green Leaf, uh so a pastor. And
- 18:23Speaker 1: I love the roles that I've been getting, you know,
- 18:25Speaker 1: And like my favorite time was a different world playing
- 18:29Speaker 1: Chipmunks mother. Oh my gosh, me and Diane Carol, when
- 18:33Speaker 1: we were fighting over the turkey with the sausage or
- 18:36Speaker 1: the jibbist or whatever. She just some fun in a
- 18:40Speaker 1: different world that I love doing. Well, you know, that
- 18:43Speaker 1: was that was a groundbreaking role for for us as
- 18:46Speaker 1: black people. You know, the Cosmic show was out there
- 18:49Speaker 1: by the way, But then when they brought this show
- 18:51Speaker 1: that showed blackness and showed young black people and then
- 18:55Speaker 1: the relatives or young black people coming into a world.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Did you realize the impact of that show or your
- 19:00Speaker 1: participation that show when you did the Different World Patty,
- 19:05Speaker 1: I did meanwhile? Or Shaun my dog is barking? Can
- 19:08Speaker 1: you hear him being ignorant? I can't put him out?
- 19:14Speaker 1: But no, I I realized the importance of that role.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I realized the importance of that show, you know, showing
- 19:20Speaker 1: black kids educated, you know, and it's just beautiful role.
- 19:24Speaker 1: It was a beautiful time for me. You know. Here's
- 19:27Speaker 1: the fun part about you and how timeless you are. Okay,
- 19:30Speaker 1: so when Versus came up and it was you and
- 19:33Speaker 1: Gladys on versus, and that's gonna be real. People have
- 19:37Speaker 1: a general tendency believe that people at a certain age
- 19:39Speaker 1: aren't relevant anymore, and so they have a general tendency
- 19:42Speaker 1: not to let them participate. You're when you and Gladys
- 19:47Speaker 1: showed up in the middle of COVID now and showed
- 19:51Speaker 1: up and showed out, talk about how that came about,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and then talk about because I, okay, it's the middle
- 19:57Speaker 1: of COVID, so there was some medical issues concerned and
- 20:00Speaker 1: all those things. But it was important to do this,
- 20:03Speaker 1: and you did it in the world. I loved it.
- 20:08Speaker 1: They sure did. It was a call from Gladys actually
- 20:13Speaker 1: uh to say that they wanted she they wanted her
- 20:17Speaker 1: to do versus and who would she like to do
- 20:19Speaker 1: it with. So of course she said me, because we're girlfriends.
- 20:22Speaker 1: And when people say we had a battle, it was
- 20:25Speaker 1: never a battle. We sing the same type of music,
- 20:28Speaker 1: were at the same age. I'm seventy seven, I think
- 20:30Speaker 1: she's seventy six or whatever, and we banged together. We
- 20:33Speaker 1: don't try to compete with each other, and it brought us.
- 20:36Speaker 1: It was COVID and we got double checked and everything before.
- 20:39Speaker 1: We sit down close to each other, so it was safe.
- 20:42Speaker 1: It was safe, great, healthy fun to be able to
- 20:46Speaker 1: sing after being at that time a year off from COVID,
- 20:49Speaker 1: no shows and stuff. So I kicked my shoes off,
- 20:52Speaker 1: I pretended I was on stage and it was just
- 20:54Speaker 1: a book one other things together. Also, O geez, well,
- 21:00Speaker 1: I'm just telling that feels like a Las Vegas show,
- 21:02Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. You know, but you know that's
- 21:04Speaker 1: just me. But I know your song is a fantastic manager.
- 21:08Speaker 1: He's gonna work out that deal. I just know that
- 21:11Speaker 1: seeing seeing history being played out, being able to walk
- 21:14Speaker 1: down memory lane, and but your smile, I want to
- 21:18Speaker 1: I want to just talk about that smile, labrilliance of
- 21:21Speaker 1: the Patty LaBelle smile, because there's a certain energy to
- 21:24Speaker 1: read each from that that makes me feel good. You
- 21:26Speaker 1: want of those people. If I'm in the hospital and
- 21:28Speaker 1: I'm not doing good and Padd Labell came through that
- 21:31Speaker 1: dough smiling, I think, I think my heart rate going
- 21:34Speaker 1: to get right, my blood pressure going, don't go down.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Talk about the just the essence of Patty LaBelle. I
- 21:41Speaker 1: don't know. I'm a very um smiley person and a
- 21:45Speaker 1: very happy person, a very blessed person because I'm still standing.
- 21:49Speaker 1: And my sister died, you know, before they turned fifty,
- 21:52Speaker 1: So I thought that would be my curse not to
- 21:54Speaker 1: be here at seventy seven. I'm here smiling and just
- 21:58Speaker 1: lighting up my life and lighting some of the around me.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Even though they say they get such joy for me,
- 22:04Speaker 1: and I take that as the highest compliment, so I can.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I will continue to smile and bring good joy to everybody.
- 22:11Speaker 1: And my little dog. Can hear my act up again?
- 22:13Speaker 1: I hear them trying to grown. But that's well. I
- 22:17Speaker 1: want to wrap us talking about this fantastic cookbook. I
- 22:20Speaker 1: want you to give me two of your favorites so
- 22:23Speaker 1: I can go in there and cook it myself, because
- 22:24Speaker 1: you know I'm an adventurous So we're talking about the cuisine.
- 22:29Speaker 1: This is the cover, right, a picture here and this
- 22:32Speaker 1: is now seeing the back. Those are two of grand
- 22:35Speaker 1: babies and Layla and so recipes are banging fish that's
- 22:41Speaker 1: any type of fish to like with crab meat, peppers, hallepeeni, peppers, onions, tomatoes,
- 22:47Speaker 1: butter and it's great. Then there's a quarantine chicken and
- 22:51Speaker 1: then there's a lobster and shrip cake that's in the back.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I saw though. Yeah, those are new recipes, right, the
- 22:57Speaker 1: new new recipes. Yeah, new recipes, new as and a
- 23:01Speaker 1: lot of fun. And if you get the book, you'll
- 23:03Speaker 1: learn how to cook. I promise, Well you have to learn.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'll just tell you this, Patty. Some people tell me
- 23:08Speaker 1: I'm really good at what I do, and for me
- 23:10Speaker 1: to go and do a cookbook and something I was
- 23:12Speaker 1: supposed to do really well, that's the car and pie
- 23:14Speaker 1: and go into that book and realize I have been
- 23:17Speaker 1: doing it wrong. And because it was that simple, I
- 23:20Speaker 1: am doing it right. I willing to admit this book
- 23:23Speaker 1: right there. I'm telling everybody have fun times with it is.
- 23:26Speaker 1: You're talking to a friend when you read this book,
- 23:28Speaker 1: a friend who's sharing her love for life, of love
- 23:31Speaker 1: for love of friendship. If you've seen any concert and
- 23:34Speaker 1: you need to read about how she does it at home.
- 23:37Speaker 1: And by the way, how is the lion doing in
- 23:39Speaker 1: your Waltmart? The food line we were missed if I
- 23:42Speaker 1: didn't think about that same thing about that and there
- 23:45Speaker 1: again there's a blessing, the pies, the cobblers, the macaroni,
- 23:49Speaker 1: the greens, the cornicle, tomatoes, black eyed peas, corn break,
- 23:53Speaker 1: two types of cornbra biscuit, and chicken, about eighteen different
- 23:57Speaker 1: desserts and things are still. I mean, I have more
- 24:00Speaker 1: things to tell you when I can tell you, ra Sean,
- 24:02Speaker 1: but a lot of good is coming to my life.
- 24:04Speaker 1: And don't because I got too much, you'll fight. I
- 24:08Speaker 1: got open the other day. Now that's outstanding. That Oprah
- 24:11Speaker 1: is off the chain there, but the one of the
- 24:13Speaker 1: true blessings. It's just the last day because I want
- 24:15Speaker 1: to let you go. When that young man went online
- 24:18Speaker 1: social media and started singing about that Patty, Patty, was
- 24:22Speaker 1: that not the ultimate blessing to jump start your business.
- 24:27Speaker 1: I we were in London before me and someone sent
- 24:30Speaker 1: me that video. I said, who is this baby kid?
- 24:33Speaker 1: Wonderful voice, and and he tasted the pie and had
- 24:37Speaker 1: that reaction when he tasted it. So it wasn't planned,
- 24:40Speaker 1: It wasn't anything. And thank god, at that time the
- 24:43Speaker 1: pies were doing great. But when he did that, they
- 24:45Speaker 1: did greater. You know. So he came to my house
- 24:48Speaker 1: last week and cooked for our party. Uh, he's a cook, singer,
- 24:53Speaker 1: he's an everyman. He's James right, that's my baby. Thank you,
- 24:58Speaker 1: Patty for taking the time to come on Money Make Conversation.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Fantastic And if you're thank you for taking the time
- 25:03Speaker 1: to talk to about fans, okay, because my fans are
- 25:05Speaker 1: your fins all right? Be safe now? Are you too?
