- 0:00Speaker 1: Today show is pre recorded.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Y'all know what time y'all don't know y'all at all?
- 0:10Speaker 3: Soon given them.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Back a million booz. Yeah, listening to show, I want
- 0:39Speaker 2: to joy?
- 0:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Joy?
- 0:53Speaker 3: Have you got.
- 1:06Speaker 4: You gotta turn?
- 1:31Speaker 5: Okay, I got to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I probably got to turn the mouth.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Water the money up?
- 1:49Speaker 6: Looking me.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Come come out?
- 1:59Speaker 7: You think that I sure will? Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 8: You are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 8: one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:15Speaker 8: I love it when I run up into people and
- 2:17Speaker 8: they say that to me. They say, hey, Steve Harvey
- 2:19Speaker 8: got a radio show. Then they wink at me. I
- 2:21Speaker 8: know they listening. You know, I got a lot off
- 2:23Speaker 8: my chest yesterday. I wanted to clean some things up.
- 2:26Speaker 8: And I appreciate y'all giving me a minute because sometimes,
- 2:29Speaker 8: you know, you just got to say some things out loud.
- 2:32Speaker 8: Not complaining, but hey, just verbalizing, but realizing that I
- 2:36Speaker 8: got to keep going anyway. And that's my words this
- 2:40Speaker 8: morning to you, that I want you to keep pushing
- 2:46Speaker 8: no matter what happens. I want to share something with
- 2:50Speaker 8: you that's important, that's very very important. See, you have
- 2:56Speaker 8: to give God something too, blessed. You know, if your
- 3:01Speaker 8: prayer is asking for God's blessings, you got to give
- 3:05Speaker 8: him something to work with. Now, you know, you gotta
- 3:11Speaker 8: show the spirit of appreciation or gratitude. You gotta let
- 3:17Speaker 8: him know that you're in it for the long haul.
- 3:21Speaker 8: No matter what happens. Don't turn around. You will never
- 3:26Speaker 8: ever see what the end could be. If you turn
- 3:31Speaker 8: around and go back, You'll never know what the end
- 3:35Speaker 8: could have been had you stuck it out. You'll never
- 3:40Speaker 8: know how good it could have gotten had you not
- 3:45Speaker 8: just weathered the storm. That's the thing that gets most people.
- 3:53Speaker 8: They it get tough for him, It get hard for him,
- 3:56Speaker 8: and then they let doubts set in, and then those
- 3:59Speaker 8: doubts be come facts, and the next thing you know,
- 4:02Speaker 8: they give up. Had you not given up, or had
- 4:07Speaker 8: you given your best, what the results or outcome could
- 4:10Speaker 8: have been. I look back on my life on so
- 4:13Speaker 8: many occasions where in college I wasn't giving my best.
- 4:20Speaker 7: Now flunked out.
- 4:22Speaker 8: Now, it's easy to look at my life now and go, yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 8: but look at you now. But back then, man, it
- 4:29Speaker 8: cost me for so many years that failing to finish,
- 4:36Speaker 8: that not giving my all, it cost me a number
- 4:41Speaker 8: of years.
- 4:43Speaker 7: I wish I could say.
- 4:44Speaker 8: That it didn't mean nothing, that it was just a
- 4:46Speaker 8: blip on the radar screen screen, But at the time.
- 4:49Speaker 7: It was major.
- 4:51Speaker 8: And so you have a lot of decisions in your
- 4:53Speaker 8: life that are happening now. You may be in your twenties,
- 4:56Speaker 8: your late teens, you could be in your early thirties
- 4:59Speaker 8: and it's happened. But guess what you'll eventually get through
- 5:04Speaker 8: it provided one thing, you never give up.
- 5:08Speaker 7: You never turn around and go back.
- 5:11Speaker 8: Had I written myself off because of one failure, see,
- 5:15Speaker 8: and this is where so many people go wrong at too.
- 5:19Speaker 8: You write yourself off after you failed at something, the
- 5:23Speaker 8: one thing you thought you wanted to accomplish, and you
- 5:26Speaker 8: failed at it. Now you write yourself off as a failure.
- 5:30Speaker 8: Now you go settle on into life and just see
- 5:33Speaker 8: what hand you get. Had when I flunked out of college,
- 5:37Speaker 8: had I written myself off as a failure, I wouldn't
- 5:40Speaker 8: be here today. When I lost my carpet cleaner company,
- 5:45Speaker 8: I would have written myself as a failure. And I
- 5:47Speaker 8: wouldn't be here today when I didn't become a diamond
- 5:51Speaker 8: distributed in Amway or a direct distributor in Amway, even
- 5:55Speaker 8: I would have written myself as a failure, and I
- 5:59Speaker 8: wouldn't be here. When I bought a distribution kit to
- 6:03Speaker 8: become a distributor of the Bohemian Diet and I didn't
- 6:09Speaker 8: make it, I would have written myself as a failure.
- 6:12Speaker 8: When I became an Al Williams distributor and I didn't
- 6:15Speaker 8: make it, I would have written myself as a failure,
- 6:18Speaker 8: and I wouldn't be here today.
- 6:20Speaker 7: Oh, I got a list for you.
- 6:23Speaker 8: When I got laid off at for a motor company,
- 6:26Speaker 8: had I written myself as a failure, I wouldn't have
- 6:28Speaker 8: made it. Do you need some more? Because I have
- 6:34Speaker 8: a story filled with mishaps. I have a story filled
- 6:40Speaker 8: with failures. Couple of things now, the grace of God
- 6:45Speaker 8: and his mercy which is available to us all.
- 6:49Speaker 7: See that's the key, y'all.
- 6:50Speaker 8: Because of his mercy, because of his willingness to forgive
- 6:57Speaker 8: and to even understand why we do the things we do.
- 7:03Speaker 8: In all of my shortcomings, failed marriages I'm talking about,
- 7:09Speaker 8: man got it all wrong. Can't blame nobody else. It's
- 7:14Speaker 8: just me. Steve ain't have it together at that point
- 7:17Speaker 8: in life. I've could have written myself as a failure
- 7:21Speaker 8: the first time.
- 7:23Speaker 7: I could have.
- 7:24Speaker 8: I just could have gave up on it after the
- 7:26Speaker 8: second one. And please know this is an admission. This
- 7:30Speaker 8: ain't bragging. So before you start in with me, understand
- 7:33Speaker 8: what I'm saying. I'm pointing out in my life a
- 7:39Speaker 8: series of missteps and failures. But how I still get
- 7:44Speaker 8: here today. Couple of things. God's grace and mercy is first.
- 7:52Speaker 8: But that's the key, that's for everybody see if it's
- 7:56Speaker 8: God's willingness to forgive you and God God's understanding of
- 8:02Speaker 8: why we do what we do because he said.
- 8:04Speaker 7: We wasn't gonna be perfect.
- 8:07Speaker 8: So in all of your imperfections, your creator told.
- 8:10Speaker 7: You you would not be perfect. He's said it to you.
- 8:14Speaker 7: It's out there. I don't care which one.
- 8:16Speaker 8: Of the books you read, it tells you that. So
- 8:21Speaker 8: guess what With that in mind, he has a grace
- 8:25Speaker 8: that he has. It's like a grace period. It's like
- 8:28Speaker 8: when you don't pay your insurance premium on the day
- 8:31Speaker 8: that is due. The next day, they don't just cancel
- 8:34Speaker 8: your insurance premium. They have a grace period because they
- 8:39Speaker 8: ain't trying to stop this money from coming in. But
- 8:42Speaker 8: when it comes to God, there's no money required. He
- 8:46Speaker 8: just gives you the grace freely. It don't cost you nothing. See,
- 8:50Speaker 8: you gotta tap into that, y'all. You gotta get in
- 8:53Speaker 8: touch with that, because that's an important part to making it.
- 8:56Speaker 8: Understanding that His grace is available so when you make them,
- 9:01Speaker 8: so when you fail at it, he has a loophole
- 9:05Speaker 8: in the contract with him that allows you to make mistakes,
- 9:09Speaker 8: that allows you to get it wrong, that allows you
- 9:12Speaker 8: to fail time and time and time again. But if
- 9:15Speaker 8: you never give up, if you keep getting up, if
- 9:18Speaker 8: you keep trying, if you keep striving, if you keep
- 9:23Speaker 8: making the effort to go forward and not go back,
- 9:26Speaker 8: God has a blessing for you, and He has it
- 9:29Speaker 8: in abundance for you. And God will give it to
- 9:32Speaker 8: you at the right time. But you got to be ready.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Oh.
- 9:38Speaker 8: I want it to be successful. But if He had
- 9:41Speaker 8: given it to me back then I wouldn't have handled
- 9:44Speaker 8: it correctly because I would have made some more mistakes
- 9:47Speaker 8: along the way. So you make the mistakes to learn
- 9:51Speaker 8: the lessons. Lord, ain't God been good to me? I
- 9:55Speaker 8: ain't gonna lie to you.
- 9:57Speaker 9: Cool you're listening show, ladies and gentlemen, please undivided attention.
- 10:07Speaker 8: This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Oh man, so
- 10:10Speaker 8: grateful to be alive today. Another day, another blessing, another opportunity.
- 10:16Speaker 8: I'm so grateful to be alive today, man, oh man.
- 10:21Speaker 8: If you can't say nothing else, you gotta say that,
- 10:24Speaker 8: because there is no value in being gone, There is none.
- 10:27Speaker 8: I don't see the upside in that at all. It's
- 10:31Speaker 8: like the Strawberry letter we had yesterday. The whole thing
- 10:34Speaker 8: was about where his man was gonna get buried at.
- 10:37Speaker 7: He want to be buried next to his mama.
- 10:39Speaker 8: And the lady that wrote in was upset because she
- 10:41Speaker 8: thought that they'd been married thirty years he would want
- 10:44Speaker 8: to be buried next to her?
- 10:46Speaker 7: Why why? Why?
- 10:50Speaker 5: Why?
- 10:51Speaker 10: What?
- 10:51Speaker 3: Why wouldn't think that?
- 10:52Speaker 7: Why thirty years? Why?
- 10:55Speaker 8: Because we lay it up here under a tree, flow together?
- 10:58Speaker 8: We're dead, Okay, we're dead. We're very unaware at this point.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Anyway.
- 11:06Speaker 8: Just wanted to start it like that today because I'm different.
- 11:09Speaker 8: I'm just that kind of guy. Shirley Strawberry calling for
- 11:12Speaker 8: real Mississippi Monica Junior alias.
- 11:16Speaker 7: Kisspates Killer Wan's his real name.
- 11:19Speaker 8: We're trying to get him to change it to Killerwan
- 11:23Speaker 8: and the legend that is nephew Tommy Junr was on
- 11:25Speaker 8: your mind today.
- 11:26Speaker 11: Man, Well you know, uncle, it's that holiday season, unk.
- 11:30Speaker 11: Can I thought about it because you did live a
- 11:31Speaker 11: different life up. Can you remember the last time you
- 11:34Speaker 11: went to somebody house for Thanksgiving?
- 11:37Speaker 3: The last time life?
- 11:39Speaker 8: The last time I went? Burt Miller, Birmingham, Alabama. I
- 11:43Speaker 8: think Burt's passed now, but great, dude, Man, I loved
- 11:47Speaker 8: Burt Miller, but I went to his house for Thanksgiving.
- 11:50Speaker 8: I performed at the Botwell Auditorium in Birmingham, and I
- 11:55Speaker 8: went to Burt Miller's house for Thanksgiving, against my better judgment,
- 12:00Speaker 8: and I went and yeah, it is still to this
- 12:05Speaker 8: day judgment.
- 12:07Speaker 7: Yeah, well this.
- 12:08Speaker 8: Was in the nineties and it is still today against
- 12:14Speaker 8: my better judgment in the year twenty twenty three. But
- 12:18Speaker 8: I haven't been to nobody's house since then. Hey, man,
- 12:21Speaker 8: I tell nobody over here. Man, don't worry about that, man.
- 12:23Speaker 8: Just come over man, Mama will want you to have
- 12:26Speaker 8: a home cooked meal. Walked in Burt Miller's house hospital
- 12:30Speaker 8: bed right in the middle of it. As soon as
- 12:33Speaker 8: you walk in the front door, you had to start
- 12:36Speaker 8: getting up against the wall because it was a hospital
- 12:39Speaker 8: bed in the middle of the living room with his
- 12:42Speaker 8: grandmama and he god Gog and that's when it all started.
- 12:47Speaker 8: She was a nice lady, but she was running everything
- 12:49Speaker 8: from that hospital bed.
- 12:50Speaker 7: Turn them greens down they ready, now, wow, know that?
- 12:56Speaker 8: And then they had a cake in there that you
- 12:58Speaker 8: couldn't eat and one that you could eat. Because the
- 13:01Speaker 8: one you couldn't eat was for shell. You were supposed
- 13:04Speaker 8: to cut that. Well, hell, that's the one I wanted.
- 13:06Speaker 8: I don't know what. I dumb took the lid off
- 13:08Speaker 8: and got a knife, and boy I got fussed out
- 13:12Speaker 8: by everybody in there. Yeah, I had a knife to
- 13:15Speaker 8: cut it. I got cussed out about that. You don't
- 13:18Speaker 8: cut that cake that's for show. And the other one
- 13:20Speaker 8: we eat, well, I didn't want the damn one we eat.
- 13:24Speaker 8: It was a disaster. Then they had two people in
- 13:26Speaker 8: there that was real different, and we can't get into
- 13:29Speaker 8: that because some of Birch's people may still be living.
- 13:32Speaker 7: All right.
- 13:34Speaker 10: It came out Christmas night, so on it.
- 13:41Speaker 1: We'll hear from runs that prenk back right after this.
- 13:45Speaker 10: You're listening morning show, and it's time now to run

- 18:27Speaker 6: Man. I want to know why you ordered.
- 18:30Speaker 7: Why you order a kangaroo if you don't want it?
- 18:32Speaker 13: Now, if I didn't order them kangaroo, that's why I
- 18:35Speaker 13: don't want them, because I didn't order them in kangaroo.
- 18:38Speaker 13: Be telling me what's word what I want? Okay. This
- 18:41Speaker 13: is the worst customer service in the world. I don't
- 18:44Speaker 13: even a customer of yours. You're trying to tell me
- 18:47Speaker 13: that I got a kangaroo of peacock and peacocks too.
- 18:51Speaker 7: You have two peacocks. You have two peacocks, Sir, This.

- 32:55Speaker 11: Man, just put it on the phone, Hey, telephone, Hell,
- 32:58Speaker 11: I can't I ain't got no money.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Wow.
- 33:02Speaker 17: Yeah, okay, So y'all got back together, and what happened
- 33:06Speaker 17: it was still about the money.
- 33:07Speaker 11: And then at fifty two weekends after I can't take
- 33:10Speaker 11: her nowhere. She was out with the cowork I was it.
- 33:12Speaker 1: That was the whole year.
- 33:13Speaker 7: You couldn't muster up one weekend.
- 33:16Speaker 3: So how much you think I was getting for gigs?
- 33:18Speaker 17: Then?
- 33:18Speaker 7: Time? I remember? I remember fifty hour a night.
- 33:23Speaker 3: So hey, I remember that's where I was at, right
- 33:25Speaker 3: around there. And now I get back over that to

- 33:29Speaker 3: get no lunch money, you got it?
- 33:33Speaker 10: That was Junior.

- 34:23Speaker 7: the room, it's no way.

- 36:06Speaker 10: state legislative and ballot measures in Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas,
- 36:11Speaker 10: and more. And in addition, the access to abortion has
- 36:15Speaker 10: been a frequent topic in campaign debates and advertising, as
- 36:20Speaker 10: it has since the US Supreme Court issued its decision
- 36:24Speaker 10: in June of last year, overturning Roe versus Way. So
- 36:27Speaker 10: if you have any questions on how to vote in
- 36:29Speaker 10: person today, you can call her text eight sixty six
- 36:33Speaker 10: hour vote. That's eight six six six eight seven eighty
- 36:37Speaker 10: six eighty three to speak with a trained election protection volunteer. Okay,
- 36:43Speaker 10: So today's election day. If you live in those states Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi,
- 36:47Speaker 10: please get out and vote.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the mayor for governor.
- 36:51Speaker 8: Disturbing for me about this country, the hypocrisy of it.
- 36:57Speaker 8: It's never ending for me. I just that this is
- 37:01Speaker 8: such a hypocritical place here. We've overturned Row versus Wade.
- 37:07Speaker 8: We are suddenly acting like we care so much about life.
- 37:12Speaker 8: But if you are going to be pro life, then
- 37:15Speaker 8: you've got to be pro life all the way around
- 37:17Speaker 8: the board. You can't just care about the fetus born child.
- 37:25Speaker 8: You have to care about the children that I hear
- 37:29Speaker 8: who are suffering. You have to care about what Black
- 37:33Speaker 8: Lives Matter was really trying to get you to say,
- 37:37Speaker 8: you have to care about people who need aid and assistance,
- 37:41Speaker 8: who are already born and alive, who are just trying
- 37:46Speaker 8: to have a basic life. We relegate this thing out
- 37:51Speaker 8: into standards which we've set aside based on your income
- 37:55Speaker 8: level and based on your tax structure with where you live.
- 37:58Speaker 8: So if you live it in it impoverished community, too
- 38:01Speaker 8: bad for you. You're not gonna get the same education
- 38:05Speaker 8: as my little sweet baby that lives in the suburbs. Oh,
- 38:09Speaker 8: your baby needs something to need to go to school.
- 38:11Speaker 8: You better figure it out because we killing all the
- 38:13Speaker 8: lunch programs because it's costing us too much. Oh, you're
- 38:18Speaker 8: laying on the street and you need medical attention. Not
- 38:20Speaker 8: in the USA, you don't. Oh Canada yes, Oh, other
- 38:25Speaker 8: parts of the world, yes, but not in the United States.
- 38:28Speaker 8: You don't have any money. Oh, but y'all better stop
- 38:32Speaker 8: these abortions that ain't right. If you're gonna be pro life,
- 38:38Speaker 8: then you should be pro life, and that just don't
- 38:42Speaker 8: count for fetuses and embryos. Those of us who cannot
- 38:46Speaker 8: have children and don't provide life have no right to
- 38:50Speaker 8: decide it. This should have been left up to women
- 38:52Speaker 8: in the first place.
- 38:54Speaker 10: All right, Steve, coming up at thirty four minutes after
- 38:56Speaker 10: the hour, We're gonna check your voicemail at eight seven
- 38:59Speaker 10: seven Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Right after this, you're.
- 39:04Speaker 14: Listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 39:07Speaker 10: It is time now to check Steve's voicemail, and if
- 39:10Speaker 10: you would like to leave Steve a message, call him
- 39:12Speaker 10: eight seven seven twenty nine Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,
- 39:16Speaker 10: you might just hear your call on the air.
- 39:18Speaker 1: You ready, Steve?
- 39:20Speaker 10: All right, So this caller disagree with your response to
- 39:22Speaker 10: yesterday's Strawberry letter. This was about the wife who's upset
- 39:25Speaker 10: that her husband has already made his final arrangements to
- 39:29Speaker 10: be buried next to his mom and not the wife.
- 39:31Speaker 18: So take a listen, Steve, and I just heard your
- 39:34Speaker 18: comment about people who are planning and leaving wills. I
- 39:38Speaker 18: think you're the one being stupid because you're planning what
- 39:42Speaker 18: to do and making it a little easier for your
- 39:45Speaker 18: children when you die. Doesn't mean that you're just hit
- 39:47Speaker 18: them around, thinking but that all the time. So that's
- 39:50Speaker 18: the stupid comment on your behalf. So I just wanted
- 39:52Speaker 18: to tell you that that's why black people have so
- 39:55Speaker 18: many problems when they die and their kids don't get
- 39:58Speaker 18: what they're supposed to get in it have a snow
- 40:00Speaker 18: transition because the stupid people like you thinking.
- 40:04Speaker 8: The way you do. Buy Well, ma'am, what if you
- 40:07Speaker 8: had listened to the show. I never had a problem
- 40:11Speaker 8: with a wheel. The problem was the simple argument about
- 40:15Speaker 8: where this man wanted to be buried next to his
- 40:18Speaker 8: mom and his daddy, and the wife wanted him to
- 40:21Speaker 8: be buried next to him. That's what the whole letter
- 40:23Speaker 8: was by. So the only stupid person here seems to
- 40:26Speaker 8: be you because you don't listen. No, you're gonna call
- 40:30Speaker 8: me stupid, she said, I'm stupid. Hi, I'm stupid. At
- 40:33Speaker 8: least I can help. My whole damn response was about
- 40:37Speaker 8: the letter about where the lady was gonna be buried.
- 40:39Speaker 7: I never said you shouldn't get a wheel. I got
- 40:42Speaker 7: a wheel.
- 40:42Speaker 8: You never once heard me say people shouldn't get wheels.
- 40:45Speaker 8: You're stupid, stupid people like you.
- 40:47Speaker 7: No, your dumb ass is the one that's rep to
- 40:51Speaker 7: She said too.
- 40:53Speaker 8: I said, that's why black people don't have nothing. What
- 40:54Speaker 8: are you talking about, lady, You should listen to the show.
- 40:59Speaker 7: I said.
- 41:00Speaker 8: The letter was about this woman who was upset because
- 41:03Speaker 8: her husband wants to be buried next to his mama,
- 41:06Speaker 8: and she thought, after thirty years of marriage that he
- 41:08Speaker 8: would want to be buried next to her.
- 41:11Speaker 7: That's what the letter was about.
- 41:12Speaker 8: I don't know what you heard, but then for you
- 41:15Speaker 8: to call in and call me stupid, when clearly to me,
- 41:20Speaker 8: you're the stupid person here because you didn't even hit
- 41:23Speaker 8: the damn letter.
- 41:24Speaker 7: You writing about something you don't even know nothing about.
- 41:27Speaker 8: This excuse me, and you have told me that I
- 41:30Speaker 8: have got to stop for all these people stupid. But
- 41:33Speaker 8: once you called Steve Harvey stupid, your ass is stupid too.
- 41:38Speaker 8: The Bible says others, and you will have.
- 41:45Speaker 6: You.
- 41:47Speaker 8: You want to call me stupid, then I got to
- 41:50Speaker 8: find something to call you stupid about. That's all that's
- 41:55Speaker 8: and that's you know, I mean, but I enjoyed calls
- 41:58Speaker 8: like this for people because everything ain't ain't cookies and cream.
- 42:02Speaker 7: So I enjoy calls like this.
- 42:04Speaker 17: But you know yourself still be the point that you
- 42:08Speaker 17: know how people are when people die, and she's trying
- 42:12Speaker 17: to say we don't plan for death and funerals.
- 42:15Speaker 1: I think that's what was the subject.
- 42:20Speaker 17: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you say, surely it's a good thing
- 42:23Speaker 17: that they were talking about that they.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Had the presence of mine to do that.
- 42:28Speaker 7: Yeah. This man has already bought.
- 42:30Speaker 1: His years ago. He did that fifteen.
- 42:35Speaker 8: Yeah, he gonna be by his mama. He not lived
- 42:40Speaker 8: with his wife eternal. That's what the whole letter was about.
- 42:43Speaker 8: It wasn't about whether we should have wheels or not.
- 42:47Speaker 7: Time. Here's what I like to say to people who
- 42:49Speaker 7: write in to me.
- 42:51Speaker 8: If you're gonna write into me, call in to me,
- 42:53Speaker 8: and you're gonna say something negative to me, and you're
- 42:56Speaker 8: gonna say, Steve, they're so stupid, then put your name
- 43:00Speaker 8: on that so I can attach stupid to your damn name.
- 43:03Speaker 4: See.
- 43:04Speaker 8: But see, don't don't call in here gutless like them
- 43:07Speaker 8: little thumb gangsters. Be on on blogs talking about a person,
- 43:11Speaker 8: but you got a fake page. So the next time
- 43:14Speaker 8: you call in and say anything about Steve Harvey, please
- 43:18Speaker 8: be man or woman enough to put your name on
- 43:21Speaker 8: it so when I call you stupid, I can attach
- 43:25Speaker 8: it to your stupid ass name.
- 43:33Speaker 12: Everybody needs to know me and Steve want to be
- 43:35Speaker 12: bear next to each other. Everybody needs to know that,
- 43:38Speaker 12: did you get your plots?
- 43:43Speaker 7: Don't call in here no more, Miss Pearl.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is the nephew What Today?
- 43:52Speaker 14: Frank call?
- 43:54Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening.
- 43:58Speaker 14: Morning show?
- 44:00Speaker 10: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:02Speaker 10: four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today, and
- 44:06Speaker 10: the subject is two pigs in a blanket.
- 44:09Speaker 1: It's not about food. We'll get into it.
- 44:12Speaker 12: You know.
- 44:15Speaker 8: I have not seen this letter, but please do not
- 44:18Speaker 8: stop me from being who I am in this letter.
- 44:23Speaker 10: What you say, I'm not making any promises, all right,
- 44:29Speaker 10: We'll find out what that letter is all about in
- 44:31Speaker 10: just a few because right now it is time for
- 44:32Speaker 10: the Nephew. He's here with today's prank phone call. What

- 53:50Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 53:51Speaker 10: Few subject two pigs in a blanket. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:54Speaker 10: I'm a single mom of a nineteen year old boy,
- 53:56Speaker 10: and I've raised him to be a hard working young man,
- 54:00Speaker 10: despight his dad spoiling him all of his life.
- 54:03Speaker 1: He was in college, but.
- 54:04Speaker 10: He wanted to sit out this semester to work full
- 54:07Speaker 10: time at a veterinarian clinic to see if he really
- 54:10Speaker 10: wants to be a veterinarian. I don't think he's working
- 54:15Speaker 10: now because when I come home, he's at home.
- 54:18Speaker 1: In his bed, with a pitch black dark in his room.
- 54:22Speaker 10: I thought he was depressed for a while, so I
- 54:26Speaker 10: talked to him about getting out more. He said he'd
- 54:29Speaker 10: met a girl and he thinks he's in love. My
- 54:32Speaker 10: son has always had trouble with dating because he's barely
- 54:35Speaker 10: five seven and he's stout.
- 54:38Speaker 1: I couldn't get.
- 54:39Speaker 10: Him to do any sports when he was younger because
- 54:42Speaker 10: he has weak ankles. I have watched him gain a
- 54:45Speaker 10: considerable amount of stop it.
- 54:48Speaker 7: I will stop you right here. Yeah, well, I want
- 54:52Speaker 7: you to leave me alone now.
- 54:55Speaker 1: It depends. I'm making no promises because I know you.
- 54:58Speaker 1: I've watched him gain.
- 54:59Speaker 10: A considerable full amount of weight, and his dad blames
- 55:02Speaker 10: me for cooking heavy meals anyway. I told my son
- 55:06Speaker 10: I wanted to meet his girlfriend, and he asked if
- 55:08Speaker 10: it was okay to invite her over. I said, of course,
- 55:11Speaker 10: it was fine for her to come by the house.
- 55:14Speaker 10: He took that the wrong way, and she's been coming
- 55:16Speaker 10: to my house without me knowing she's there. I walked
- 55:19Speaker 10: into his room yesterday when I got off work, and
- 55:22Speaker 10: it was pitch dark in there.
- 55:23Speaker 3: Again.
- 55:24Speaker 10: I poked him so he'd wake up and tidy up
- 55:27Speaker 10: his room. Two heads popped up, and I screamed. It
- 55:32Speaker 10: was him and a young lady that was half naked.
- 55:35Speaker 10: I told those two little pigs in a blanket to
- 55:37Speaker 10: get up and get out.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Of my house.
- 55:39Speaker 10: He's not going to be trifling and do this under
- 55:42Speaker 10: my roof. His dad said, it's not unusual for him
- 55:45Speaker 10: to want to entertain a woman, and since he's had
- 55:47Speaker 10: trouble with girls, I shouldn't have reacted like that. Am
- 55:51Speaker 10: I supposed to condone him laying up in my house
- 55:54Speaker 10: with a girl. Absolutely not, of course not. You don't
- 55:59Speaker 10: have to condone anything, especially this kind of behavior. What
- 56:03Speaker 10: you do have to do, is his mom, though, is
- 56:05Speaker 10: just stop making excuses for your nearly grown son. In fact,
- 56:08Speaker 10: all I hear in this letter is a bunch of excuses.
- 56:11Speaker 10: Your ex is blaming you for everything, and how dare
- 56:14Speaker 10: he when all he's doing is enabling his son. The
- 56:18Speaker 10: boy needs to be accountable for his actions. No girls
- 56:21Speaker 10: in the bed, no girls under your roof, of course not.
- 56:25Speaker 10: He's not supposed to be doing those things. And no
- 56:28Speaker 10: more being lazy and not doing anything with his life.
- 56:31Speaker 10: The problem should be addressed now. He needs to get
- 56:34Speaker 10: back in school, or get a job, or get something.
- 56:37Speaker 10: In other words, a little tough love to the rescue here.
- 56:40Speaker 10: He lacks direction. It would be nice if his father
- 56:44Speaker 10: would get on board and support you rather than criticizing you.
- 56:49Speaker 10: I would say, maybe it's time for your son to
- 56:51Speaker 10: live with his dad to learn how to be a man.
- 56:53Speaker 10: I would say that, but from your letter it doesn't
- 56:56Speaker 10: sound like dad is going to be a good example,
- 56:59Speaker 10: because you know all he does is get on you
- 57:02Speaker 10: about how you raising him. But it is time, definitely
- 57:05Speaker 10: to have that kind of talk you, the baby's father
- 57:10Speaker 10: and the son. He needs some direction and to decide
- 57:13Speaker 10: what he's going.
- 57:13Speaker 1: To do with his life.
- 57:14Speaker 8: Steve, Yeah, well, Sheley, I appreciate the answer you gave
- 57:19Speaker 8: very nice advice for the people. This letter, for me
- 57:22Speaker 8: has nothing to do with what this boy want to
- 57:25Speaker 8: do with his life. That ain't what I'm focusing on.
- 57:28Speaker 8: I really don't care. I have one suggestion for him
- 57:31Speaker 8: as far as his career goals based on this letter.
- 57:34Speaker 8: But the rest of this letter is the discovery. That's
- 57:39Speaker 8: all this is for me, So ain't no need of
- 57:41Speaker 8: me messing around. Let's say he nineteen.
- 57:45Speaker 7: You a single mom. With this nineteen year old boy.
- 57:48Speaker 8: You've raised him to be a hard working young man
- 57:52Speaker 8: despite his dad spoiling him all of his life.
- 57:56Speaker 7: He was in college where you.
- 57:57Speaker 8: Want to sit out this semester, I work full time
- 58:01Speaker 8: at a veterinarian clinic to see if he really wants
- 58:04Speaker 8: to be a veterinarian. Okay, let's keep that in mind
- 58:07Speaker 8: because I'm gonna pull that back up a little later on.
- 58:10Speaker 8: I don't think he's working now, because when I come home,
- 58:13Speaker 8: he's at home in his bed with it pitched black,
- 58:18Speaker 8: dark in his room. Stay there, because we're coming back
- 58:23Speaker 8: to that. I thought he was depressed. You know, when
- 58:26Speaker 8: you see a person sitting in the dark room, ain't
- 58:28Speaker 8: no lights on you thinking he depressed for a while,
- 58:32Speaker 8: so I talked to him about getting out more.
- 58:35Speaker 7: Here we go.
- 58:36Speaker 8: Hear what the whole letter is about. He said he'd
- 58:40Speaker 8: have met this girl and he thinked he in love.
- 58:46Speaker 8: This is what this letter is about. Damn his future,
- 58:52Speaker 8: Damn what his daddy did to him.
- 58:55Speaker 7: He is in love? Now?
- 58:56Speaker 8: What makes him being in love so special? Steve, Let's
- 59:00Speaker 8: describe him? My son has always had troubled dating.
- 59:08Speaker 7: Yep. Because oh, and she supplies the reason.
- 59:14Speaker 8: He is badly five to seven, good lord of money.
- 59:19Speaker 8: He's not even five seven. She said, he's badly five seven.
- 59:27Speaker 8: That means he ain't even got there yet at nineteen.
- 59:29Speaker 8: He threw he not finna be no taller.
- 59:33Speaker 7: No, he threw not no. They don't do it like
- 59:36Speaker 7: that no more.
- 59:38Speaker 3: And he's stout There we go, ooh, that's.
- 59:44Speaker 8: How mama describes her baby. He's five to seven and
- 59:48Speaker 8: he's stout. Hold that thought.
- 59:54Speaker 10: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 59:57Speaker 10: twenty three minutes after the hour today. Strawberry letter subject
- 1:00:01Speaker 10: that's two pigs in a blanket. We'll get back into
- 1:00:04Speaker 10: it right after this.
- 1:00:05Speaker 14: You're listening hard.
- 1:00:07Speaker 10: Morning Show, all right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 1:00:11Speaker 10: strawberry letter.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: The subject two pigs in a blanket.
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: Now, I'm gonna say this before I say this that
- 1:00:17Speaker 8: I'm gonna say about this letter. Sureley on the commercial
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: break told me be careful, Steve, you are fat shaming.
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: Now the subject is two pigs in a blanket, and
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: the pigs that were talking about is people.
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: Now, if that ain't fat.
- 1:00:35Speaker 8: Shaming, why y'all given this letter to me and then
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: tell me I got to be careful for fat shaming.
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: The subject is two pigs in the blanket and the
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: pigs that they talking about is two people.
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: Will let me just go in and help you finish.
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: Then the boy was not She's a single parent, got
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: nineteen year old boy being to college and everything, but
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: he want to drop out for a semessatory. He could
- 1:01:01Speaker 8: work at a veterinarian clinic to see if he really
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: wants to be a veterninarian with his career. But he
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: don't think she's in school anymore because every time she
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: come home, he's home and his room is pitch black.
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: She thought he was depressed for a while and thought
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: he told him he how to get out more. But
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: then the son came in the house and told her
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: he didn't met a girl, that this is what this
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: whole letter is about. Then she said, my son has
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: always had trouble dating, because now the woman is providing
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: a reason why the sun has had troubled dating. He's
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: barely five seven. Lord, God almighty, this boy's show little
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: shot as boy, he's badly fied. Said that means he
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: ain't even five seven, so he shot.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Okay, we got that.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: He's stout.
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: That's a mother's description of a fat person.
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: He is stout.
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: That's how people describe, Oh you little stout, little something.
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: Now fat? He fat.
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: And then she goes on and says, I couldn't get
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: him to do get him to do any sports when
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: he was younger because he has.
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: Weak ankles. No, no, no, he don't have weak ankles, lady.
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: It's just the ankles he got ain't strong enough for
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: the weight that he's putting on them. He don't have
- 1:02:27Speaker 8: weak ankles. He got regular ankles. He just ain't got
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: no regular weight on top of them ankles, and they
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: crumbling and cracking in everything. Fat ass boy you got
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: that you call stout is so damn fat. You say
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: he can't play sports because he got weak ankles, lady,
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: And I've watched him gain a considerable amount of weight. Now,
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: let's talk about this for a minute. When you say
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: considerable of weight, do y'all know how much weight we
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: really talking? When the boys mama said he has gained
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: a considerable amount of weeks, now this ain't.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: He ain't had no baby, Are you gonna help them
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: at all?
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: He did? No, I'm shaving your fat ass got to
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: lose weight, because that's all this is about. Right now.
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: You already got weak ankles.
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: You can't run nowhere because you keep falling because your
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: ankles is weak because you got ate too much. And
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: your mama said you didn't gain considerable weight. And his
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: dad blames me for cooking heavy meals. Oh it ain't
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: the meals was so heavy. It's the plate he keep
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: making this heavy. It's what is he eating off a platter?
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: Fat ass boy? Yo, what y'all need to do is
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: get rid of all them dishes in your house and
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: just get some saucers in there. So he had to
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: make about twelve trips back to the kitchen. But yeah,
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: because he ain't off of service, he eating off of charters.
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: You know, the charter is the plate you put down
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: that you put the plate on top of chart.
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: He a charger charter with a heat off a platter.
- 1:04:12Speaker 8: He eating off the plate that the turkey be on
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: and Thanksgiving that's his plate.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: What about him in bed with this girl?
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: Well, I'm getting to that night anyway.
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: I told my son I wanted to meet his girlfriend
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: and if he has okay to invite over to the house,
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: I said, of course, be finding her to come out
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: of the house.
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: He took that the wrong way. He been coming to
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: my house. We mean me not even knowing she that.
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: I walked in his room yesterday I got off work
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: and it was pitch dark in now. I poked in
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: on and wake up his to make up his tiding room,
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: and two heads popped up.
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: I screamed.
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: It was him and a young lady that was half
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: neckd those two little pigs in the blaker. I told
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: him two little pigs in blake, get out of my house.
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: Oh so now two pigs. Yeah so see he ain't
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: just he ain't just fat. He done one got a
- 1:05:01Speaker 8: little fat ass girl free. Yeah yeah he didne got
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: him a little heavy duty cutie. Yeah, ain't nothing wrong
- 1:05:10Speaker 8: with it now. They just have been there looking like
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: two little volts wagons. They just up in here, they
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: lay they laying on their back and they look like
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: two volts wagons. Is under the cover, just two stomachs
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: sticking up. She ain't pregnant and he ain't either. What
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: should they do?
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: He gonna lose his what?
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: No be fat?
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: And here that rolled around with the little fat girl.
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: And that's just the deal right there, man.
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: And your dad said it wasn't wasn't right for you
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: to uh uh react like that to him because he's
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: had trouble with girls in the past, and so am
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: I supposed to condone him laying up in my house
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: with a girl. I don't know what you need to do.
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: But somebody got losing weight over there, the little fat
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: boy over there with the little fat ass girl, and
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: they're all up in here, two pigs and the blanket
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: looking too heavy. Chevy looked like two pickup trucks in there.
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: And I don't bed. I don't know what kind of
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: bed they use it, but you need to check them.

- 1:08:20Speaker 11: you know we had also USC lost beating Notre Dame
- 1:08:23Speaker 11: in women's basketball.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: You know, you know she over there, dogs, she over there,
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: still playing. And then next thing, uncle man, ask you this,
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: do the Cowboys stead a chance it wint the super Bowl?
- 1:08:33Speaker 11: Now after they lost to the Eagle, if they said
- 1:08:36Speaker 11: they still in it, that's what they believe.
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: Yeah, of course they're in it, in it for sure. Yeah,
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: they don't.
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: Have a super Bowl team, but they want they staying
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: they can still win it.
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: They lost Diggs. Man, that that backfield.
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: You lose a guy like that, that's a whole half
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: of field that's available now that wasn't available at four.
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: Okay, so they got some great players on the well, you.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: Know what, let's just give them. You know, Deck didn't
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: throw up interception, He didn't do that.
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: He didn't throw Yeah, they're not going to the super Bowl.
- 1:09:11Speaker 10: That is your questions, all right, Steve, a guy on
- 1:09:17Speaker 10: social media needs some advice, and his question is how
- 1:09:20Speaker 10: long do you let the bosses lie go on?
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Oh wow, we'll talk about that right after this.
- 1:09:27Speaker 14: You're listening, Harvey morning show.
- 1:09:32Speaker 10: See this is from Michael on Steve Harvey FM. Michael says,
- 1:09:35Speaker 10: if you've busted your boss and a lie, how long
- 1:09:37Speaker 10: do you let it slide before calling him out on it.
- 1:09:41Speaker 10: Over the last week, my supervisor has been laying the
- 1:09:44Speaker 10: groundwork to prepare all of us to tell us there
- 1:09:48Speaker 10: will be no bonuses this Christmas. What he doesn't know
- 1:09:52Speaker 10: is that the budget is there for everyone to see
- 1:09:55Speaker 10: if you know where to look in the corporate files.
- 1:09:58Speaker 10: Not only is the money there just like it was
- 1:10:00Speaker 10: last year, but the supervisors and their bosses are all
- 1:10:03Speaker 10: getting the same bonuses they received last year. As words
- 1:10:07Speaker 10: started to get around, you can feel the tension in
- 1:10:10Speaker 10: the office growing about it. I might get fired for
- 1:10:13Speaker 10: speaking up, but I feel like it would not only
- 1:10:15Speaker 10: be worth it, but the right thing to do. What's
- 1:10:18Speaker 10: the best way to play this?
- 1:10:20Speaker 8: Well, let me ask you something, sir. You said you
- 1:10:23Speaker 8: might get fired for speaking up, but it's the right
- 1:10:28Speaker 8: thing to do. What's the best way to play this?
- 1:10:31Speaker 8: If you speak up and you think you're gonna lose
- 1:10:33Speaker 8: your job, what's the game?
- 1:10:36Speaker 14: Right?
- 1:10:36Speaker 12: Oh?
- 1:10:37Speaker 8: You got to have and a means and an end
- 1:10:41Speaker 8: to the means or means to the end. You gotta
- 1:10:44Speaker 8: some's got to connect here.
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: Bro. You know, it's like, if you got a plan,
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: then you got a plan for the plan to work
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: or not work. You don't have a plan.
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: So if I were you, if you want to do
- 1:10:59Speaker 8: it now, if you took everybody in there with the information,
- 1:11:03Speaker 8: then you stand a chance. You go in there by yourself.
- 1:11:05Speaker 8: They're gonna do you, you stupid. What you ought to
- 1:11:08Speaker 8: do is if you said, if everybody could see it,
- 1:11:11Speaker 8: just start sending it to everybody, send a link, get
- 1:11:14Speaker 8: a get a fake email, and send everybody the link.
- 1:11:17Speaker 8: Now everybody can see the company stuff. And now you
- 1:11:19Speaker 8: got some allies. Hey, y'all get this email from somebody. Yeah,
- 1:11:24Speaker 8: I looked it up. Man that you see what it
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: was saying. And then you go as a unit. Now,
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: if you work here on the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:11:33Speaker 8: how long do you support your bosses?
- 1:11:35Speaker 13: Lie?
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: Forever?
- 1:11:37Speaker 17: Oh?
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, those are our orders forever.
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: Suggestion.
- 1:11:49Speaker 17: So if one of us found out something about you
- 1:11:52Speaker 17: lying about the bonuses, one of us couldn't come in
- 1:11:55Speaker 17: and you know, let you know that we know what's yeah.
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: Or you can come in.
- 1:12:00Speaker 19: God already, I'm gonna let him know, yeah, and already know,
- 1:12:07Speaker 19: so I don't really think about me and my lives.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: Is I know we got.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you know their lives.
- 1:12:17Speaker 7: Yeah, and I'm going back it.
- 1:12:20Speaker 11: So we came in there to you by some Christmas bonuses,
- 1:12:23Speaker 11: like we came and said, you mean to tell me
- 1:12:27Speaker 11: that they got money for us, you got some money
- 1:12:29Speaker 11: for us for Christmas bonus.
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: I don't know anything about the money for Christmas bonuses.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Here this right here, here's the proof we got it.
- 1:12:39Speaker 8: It's got your then what well, then it looks to
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: me like you'll be getting oh, okay, okay, all right.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: That was easy.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: So that was a hypothetical situation.
- 1:12:49Speaker 17: So now that we're in November, let's go on on
- 1:12:53Speaker 17: talk about let's just have yeah, yeah, let's have an
- 1:12:55Speaker 17: on air.
- 1:12:58Speaker 7: On the air, go ahead.
- 1:12:59Speaker 12: I'm all right, I think we've been doing well here
- 1:13:03Speaker 12: and uh uh, I think I speak on behalf of
- 1:13:07Speaker 12: everybody that I think that we all to be entitled
- 1:13:09Speaker 12: in some type of bonus here for Christmas holidays.
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: What's your thoughts on that? Well, when you say we're
- 1:13:15Speaker 7: doing well, yeah, well in relation to what.
- 1:13:21Speaker 17: Our performance, our ratings, our job, all of that, well,
- 1:13:28Speaker 17: to get bonuses and sometimes you don't have to do anything.
- 1:13:32Speaker 10: Sometimes your boss is just gracious, he appreciated.
- 1:13:35Speaker 8: Well, we don't do all participation bonuses here. We're adults.
- 1:13:38Speaker 8: This is not Little League Baseball where you get a
- 1:13:41Speaker 8: trophy just for showing up. You have to win here,
- 1:13:44Speaker 8: you have to win.
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: So we're not winning.
- 1:13:48Speaker 8: We are winning, We're not winning at the rate that
- 1:13:51Speaker 8: we should be winning. No, no, no, we're we're in
- 1:13:59Speaker 8: the black. But you were never in the red.
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: All right, looks it sounds like a hell nod? Yeah, right,
- 1:14:08Speaker 10: all right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:14:10Speaker 10: Show right after this.
- 1:14:13Speaker 14: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: The first day in November is considered to be the
- 1:14:20Speaker 10: kickoff to the holiday season. However, some say this is
- 1:14:24Speaker 10: way too soon, way too early. New research reveals that
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: thanks to Christmas TV commercials starting as early as right
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: after Labor Day, the majority of Americans field burned out
- 1:14:35Speaker 10: by the time December twenty fifth, Christmas Day arrives.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: So here's a question for you, guys.
- 1:14:40Speaker 10: When do you think stories should start putting up decorations
- 1:14:43Speaker 10: and advertising for Christmas?
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: What is the ideal time to start decorating your home?
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: For the holidays because the stores already have the Christmas
- 1:14:51Speaker 10: decorations up and Christmas music.
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: They headed up on Halloween.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Uh huh, it's already there. Yeah, really indeed, I think
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: that is it's too soon November.
- 1:15:03Speaker 7: Mid November? Maybe does that work? Is that too? That's
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: too late?
- 1:15:07Speaker 10: Well maybe it used to be like after Thanksgiving, like
- 1:15:11Speaker 10: back in the day, you know, after Thanksgiving, then the
- 1:15:15Speaker 10: whole month of December would be devoted.
- 1:15:16Speaker 8: No, Shirley, they started showing those toy commercials right after
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: Halloween because I started wearing my mama ass to death.
- 1:15:28Speaker 8: Right after Halloween. I changed my toy request right up
- 1:15:34Speaker 8: to Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving, I was locked in on what
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: I wanted.
- 1:15:39Speaker 10: Uh huh.
- 1:15:40Speaker 8: I had reviewed that J. C. Penny and see his
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: catalog fourteen thousand times.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: So when do you start decorating, like now or after
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: your house?
- 1:15:52Speaker 7: When do you start with your house? All right?
- 1:15:55Speaker 10: Coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:15:57Speaker 10: play around. I would you rather right after this you're listening.
- 1:16:02Speaker 14: Morning show and.
- 1:16:04Speaker 10: It's time now for another round? And would you rather
- 1:16:07Speaker 10: would you rather cook Thanksgiving meal together as a family?
- 1:16:12Speaker 10: You know, everybody in the kitchen doing their thing, Or
- 1:16:14Speaker 10: would you rather just let the family's best cook do
- 1:16:17Speaker 10: the cooking all the best okay, the best.
- 1:16:20Speaker 7: Just ain't no time for amateur.
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: This is not what you do.
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: How much cheese go in here?
- 1:16:36Speaker 10: Let the pros handle it, all right, amateurs. Would you
- 1:16:43Speaker 10: rather find the love of your life?
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: You know, for just just you know, pretend.
- 1:16:49Speaker 10: Would you rather find the love of your life in
- 1:16:50Speaker 10: the church or would you rather find the love of
- 1:16:53Speaker 10: your life in the club, in the nightclub, strip club,
- 1:16:57Speaker 10: or wherever whatever club?
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with the club.
- 1:17:07Speaker 6: Church.
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: I don't need to singing hands to me all day.
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: I don't want to hear that. I don't even know
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: half of them. I want to sing with you. Give
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: me a second a song.
- 1:17:18Speaker 7: That's what I want to.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: See, you know, club or church.
- 1:17:31Speaker 8: Definitely gonna have more fun with the club person. That's
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: the love of your life if you can, cause you know,
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: dress gonna be different. I never really wanted to date
- 1:17:41Speaker 8: a woman that walk towards me looking like she was armish.
- 1:17:49Speaker 8: You got your buttery turning outfit on. I'm not gonna
- 1:17:52Speaker 8: to that.
- 1:18:01Speaker 7: Body China, Okay, all right?
- 1:18:05Speaker 10: When when making love? Would you rather eye contact with
- 1:18:09Speaker 10: your partner or no contact, no eye contact.
- 1:18:13Speaker 8: I don't really know because I'm I go blind most
- 1:18:17Speaker 8: of the time. I think my eyes is open. I
- 1:18:21Speaker 8: think you can make contact.
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: I don't. I can't see nothing. Now over man, alright,
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: roll back.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: So no eye contact is what you're saying. Okay, junior,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: you well, what's wrong with icontract?
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: Yeah? What's up with that?
- 1:18:40Speaker 12: Huh?
- 1:18:40Speaker 7: What is we looking at you?
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: That's not what I'm in here, like, just go in
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: here and make eye contact. I'm not doing that. That's
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: not what I'm looking at me. I saw you when
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: you were taking your clothes off. I saw you.
- 1:18:56Speaker 10: You know, the connection when you look deeply into some
- 1:19:00Speaker 10: one's eyes, that's a connection.
- 1:19:04Speaker 7: This pillar.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: So no eye contact?
- 1:19:11Speaker 12: Wow?
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: All right, all right, that's today's rounded. Would you rather
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: thank you? Guys?
- 1:19:16Speaker 10: Coming up next at forty nine minutes after it's our
- 1:19:19Speaker 10: last break of the day, and we'll close off the
- 1:19:21Speaker 10: show right after this.
- 1:19:22Speaker 14: You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:19:26Speaker 10: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:19:28Speaker 10: day on this Tuesday. Don't forget today is election day.
- 1:19:33Speaker 10: Voting should be treated as a privilege. Don't forget that.
- 1:19:36Speaker 10: Using our voices in the electoral process gives us a
- 1:19:39Speaker 10: power to speak up for ourselves and those without representation.
- 1:19:43Speaker 10: So if you have any questions about how to vote
- 1:19:46Speaker 10: in person today, please call or text eight six to
- 1:19:49Speaker 10: six hour vote eight six six hour vote. That's eight
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: sixty six six eight seven eight six eighty three by
- 1:19:56Speaker 10: the numbers to speak with the trained Election protection Voluntar here.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: But please vote, Okay, please, you got to.
- 1:20:03Speaker 7: Vote in the local elections. Let's go, people do it.
- 1:20:07Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, I was thinking about you're talking about
- 1:20:11Speaker 8: the election and everything. I was thinking about the condition
- 1:20:15Speaker 8: of our country. And I've lived here the bulk of
- 1:20:20Speaker 8: my life. I'm very, very aware of how this system
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: in this country works. So before I say what I think,
- 1:20:28Speaker 8: I'm going to say, Oh what I may say. Have
- 1:20:33Speaker 8: I been a benefactor of some of the opportunities here
- 1:20:37Speaker 8: in America? Of course I have. But I have also
- 1:20:41Speaker 8: seen the privilege provided to those who are not as talented,
- 1:20:47Speaker 8: who don't look like me, who just find a way
- 1:20:51Speaker 8: to simply be rewarded simply because and I've tried looking
- 1:20:56Speaker 8: at it a lot of different ways, but there are
- 1:20:58Speaker 8: a lot of people who are rewarded in this country
- 1:21:01Speaker 8: simply because because I sometimes I just don't see the
- 1:21:06Speaker 8: measurable gift or talent that they're being paid for. So
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: even though I've benefited greatly from this country, I still
- 1:21:15Speaker 8: know that compared to my counterparts, I still know the
- 1:21:20Speaker 8: struggle that I'm in. I still know the struggle that
- 1:21:23Speaker 8: I've been in, and so, you know, it kind of
- 1:21:27Speaker 8: makes me a little angry sometimes when people like myself
- 1:21:30Speaker 8: want to speak up and then people go with, you
- 1:21:32Speaker 8: got this, and you got that. You have no idea
- 1:21:35Speaker 8: what it took for me to get it this, or
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: that you have no idea the real struggle that I've
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: been in, because oftentimes, just like you out there, you
- 1:21:45Speaker 8: get judged by where you're at now. People don't know
- 1:21:48Speaker 8: what you went through. People don't know that you said there,
- 1:21:50Speaker 8: that you made the grade. People don't know that you
- 1:21:53Speaker 8: completed the courses that you took, the time out, that
- 1:21:56Speaker 8: you passed, the tests, that you went through the specialized program. Yeah,
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: you got a great position on your job, but they
- 1:22:02Speaker 8: don't know what you did to get there. They don't
- 1:22:06Speaker 8: know all the hurdles and hoops you jump through to
- 1:22:09Speaker 8: get there. And it happens on so many different levels.
- 1:22:13Speaker 8: I just wish this country, and I don't see it
- 1:22:16Speaker 8: ending any time soon. I thought that was hope for
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: a minute, but then every time there's hope, somebody does
- 1:22:22Speaker 8: something to counterbalance it.
- 1:22:24Speaker 7: But we've got to stop being this hypocritical, critical nation
- 1:22:27Speaker 7: that we are.
- 1:22:28Speaker 8: We keep telling everybody that we're the biggest, the best,
- 1:22:30Speaker 8: the greatest, but we don't treat everybody like that. We're
- 1:22:33Speaker 8: not the biggest, the best, and the greatest.
- 1:22:36Speaker 7: We're just not.
- 1:22:38Speaker 8: And it's sad, man, how we spread the propaganda around
- 1:22:41Speaker 8: the world to make people think that we're one way,
- 1:22:44Speaker 8: when those.
- 1:22:44Speaker 7: Of us who live here know full well, if this
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: is the.
- 1:22:48Speaker 8: Greatest country on earth, if this is truly the land
- 1:22:52Speaker 8: of freedom and opportunity, why are so many people in
- 1:22:57Speaker 8: the condition that win. Why do we lead the world
- 1:23:00Speaker 8: and imprisoned people. We have more imprisoned people than any
- 1:23:04Speaker 8: country anywhere.
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: Why is that.
- 1:23:08Speaker 8: We as a nation consume more recreational drugs that do
- 1:23:14Speaker 8: harm to our young people than any other nation anywhere.
- 1:23:18Speaker 8: No body has imported these mess ice, cocaine, weed at
- 1:23:26Speaker 8: the rate that America does. And you know why we
- 1:23:29Speaker 8: do it because we're free, Because we're free to do
- 1:23:32Speaker 8: what we want to do, and we freely accept this
- 1:23:36Speaker 8: drug epidemic, and it's killing our kids. It's killing our children,
- 1:23:43Speaker 8: and we set up in here, man, and there's no
- 1:23:46Speaker 8: way you could tell me that they couldn't do something
- 1:23:49Speaker 8: about this if they wanted to. They have the capability
- 1:23:54Speaker 8: with technology right now they can. You just can't tell
- 1:23:59Speaker 8: me that technology is not there to do something about this.
- 1:24:04Speaker 8: But the freedom we have allows us to go on.
- 1:24:07Speaker 8: Were free to talk about people now. First we had
- 1:24:11Speaker 8: freedom of speech, and then freedom of speech turned into
- 1:24:13Speaker 8: freedom of press, and then freedom of press turned into
- 1:24:16Speaker 8: we no longer have to fact check anything. So now
- 1:24:19Speaker 8: we could just write what we want to write about
- 1:24:21Speaker 8: people and there's no repercussions behind it. So we so free,
- 1:24:26Speaker 8: we overly free, that we done freed ourselves into positions
- 1:24:29Speaker 8: where people don't even enjoy being famous anymore. People don't
- 1:24:33Speaker 8: enjoy their jobs anymore. People don't have any privacy rights anymore.
- 1:24:37Speaker 8: People can't raise their family the way. I got a
- 1:24:40Speaker 8: friend of mine whose kid right now went off to
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: college and got exposed to the wrong people, and they
- 1:24:46Speaker 8: got to go pick they.
- 1:24:47Speaker 7: Son up because he done just got involved with the
- 1:24:50Speaker 7: wrong people.
- 1:24:53Speaker 8: How many times, man, have I had aspirations for my children.
- 1:24:59Speaker 8: How many times were you you have aspirations for your children?
- 1:25:02Speaker 8: And it turns out so wrong because now in this
- 1:25:06Speaker 8: freedom of press, in this freedom of expression, we got
- 1:25:10Speaker 8: our kids exposed.
- 1:25:11Speaker 7: To tough that they don't even have the bandwidth to handle.
- 1:25:16Speaker 8: We are now let it allowing our children to pick
- 1:25:20Speaker 8: what they want to be eight seven were asking them
