- 0:00So the position of President Trump, he wouldn't ban, he
- 0:02wouldn't stop the bloodshed and instead he would allow it to
- 0:05continue via the abortion pill. Now the smart thing he did here
- 0:09guys was that he called out Biden on the extraordinary pro
- 0:13abortion position of the Biden administration.
- 0:15The. The the, the, the, the total
- 0:17initiative relative to what we're gonna do with.
- 0:19OK, guys. What do you just say?
- 0:21I mean, again, this is the leader of the free world and it
- 0:25can't even put together a sentence.
- 0:26But I don't think the pro-life movement or good people of faith
- 0:30should say that Trump is their big champion and their hero.
- 0:33I don't think that's healthy. It's up to us as the voters to
- 0:36demand better. It really is.
- 0:43Welcome, guys, to the Lila Rose Podcast.
- 0:46Thanks for joining in the chat. You guys can hear.
- 0:49Awesome. Thanks, Jessica.
- 0:51Hey, John, Henry. Hey, Don.
- 0:53Fantastic. All right, we've got a lot to do
- 0:55today because last night was the first presidential debate.
- 0:59Let me know if you guys watched it.
- 1:01And it was between, of course, President Biden and now the
- 1:05Republican nominee president, former President Trump.
- 1:08We're going to break down what they said.
- 1:11We're going to hear a lot of clips.
- 1:12We're going to hear about their position on abortion, the
- 1:14border, the economy, really a sharp contrast between two
- 1:18different parties and their visions for this country.
- 1:21And also, quite frankly, the mental fitness of the
- 1:23candidates, particularly our current president.
- 1:25Have a lot of thoughts on that and some clips to watch on that.
- 1:29I think that there were so many people tuning into this debate.
- 1:31It crashed the CNN website at one point.
- 1:33The stream was glitching for a lot of people because so many
- 1:36people were tuning on this. Is the future of our country at
- 1:39stake in this election? And so many people are
- 1:42wondering, what do we do with these two candidates?
- 1:44Who do we vote for? How should we think about the
- 1:47how should we think about this election?
- 1:48So I'm going to break that down. OK, before we get into some
- 1:51clips, we're going to watch those here in a moment.
- 1:54I'm going to start with a big thank you to our sponsor Every
- 1:57Life. You guys have heard me talk
- 1:59about Everylife before Everylifecom as America's

- 2:31use the code lilac check out for 10% off your order.
- 2:33All right, let's start with a clip from last night's debate.
- 2:37To be honest, guys, I, I was watching it while I was
- 2:40multitasking, making dinner for my family.
- 2:42And there was a moment of almost shock is a strong word, but
- 2:47definitely surprise of how far we've come as a country that
- 2:52this is our presidential debate. And I'm going to show you what I
- 2:56mean by that here in just a moment.
- 2:57But keep in mind, this is the world leader, the most powerful
- 3:01country in the world. These are the two men vying for
- 3:04the position of power for the next four years.
- 3:06One of them obviously already are sitting president.
- 3:09So let's start with this clip from the debate.
- 3:10This is President Biden, our president communicating in the
- 3:15debate. And let's let's see how this
- 3:17goes. What I'm going to do is fix the
- 3:22taxes and for example, we have 1000 trillionaires in America.
- 3:26I mean billionaires in America and what's happening, they're in
- 3:29a situation where they in fact pay 8.2% in taxes.
- 3:33If they just pay 24 percent, 25%, either one of those
- 3:37numbers, they've raised $500 million billion dollars, I
- 3:41should say, in a 10 year period. We'd be able to write, wipe out
- 3:44his debt. We'd be able to help make sure
- 3:46that all those things we need to do, child care, elder care,
- 3:49making sure that we continue to strengthen our health care
- 3:52system, making sure that we're able to make every single
- 3:55solitary person eligible for what I've been able to do with
- 4:00the with the COVID, excuse me, with dealing with everything we
- 4:06have to do with look, if we finally beat Medicare.
- 4:14Thank you, President Biden, President Trump.
- 4:17He's right. He did beat Medicare.
- 4:18He beat it to death. All right, so as you guys just
- 4:21heard, what did he say? Right?
- 4:23And there's actually a point in the debate, we're going to watch
- 4:24that a moment where Trump says, I don't even know what he just
- 4:26said. And the whole country is
- 4:28watching this. And I think that it is
- 4:30startlingly clear that President Biden is losing some of his
- 4:34mental faculties. He is the president of the free
- 4:37world. He's the president of the United
- 4:38States, the leader of the free world.
- 4:40And he has trouble putting a sentence together.
- 4:42And this isn't because of some muscle twitch.
- 4:44It's it's connected to his mental capacities at this time.
- 4:48The gentleman is 81 years old. President Biden is 81 years old.
- 4:52President Trump is 78 years old up there.
- 4:55President Trump did look as sharp as attack next to
- 4:58President Biden. This is not to say that you
- 5:00can't be extremely intelligent and mentally fit into your 90s.
- 5:03You know, my my grandfather is well into his 90s and he's
- 5:07extremely sharp. But some struggle as they get
- 5:10older. You know, that's part of aging.
- 5:12And clearly that's what's happening here with President
- 5:14Biden. Even Barack Obama, his old
- 5:18running mate here, chimed in and tweeted, this was actually just
- 5:21this morning, like an hour ago, Barack Obama tweets and says bad
- 5:24debate nights happen. Trust me, I know, OK?
- 5:29I mean, President Biden, I guarantee you, President Obama,
- 5:33maybe he had some bad debate nights.
- 5:35He was actually a really good debater.
- 5:36President Obama, he was an amazing and eloquent speaker.
- 5:40That's one of the reasons he was so successful.
- 5:41I believe in manipulating a lot of people.
- 5:43But President Obama doesn't know about a bad debate night like
- 5:47the one that Joe Biden had last night.
- 5:49He he never had a bad debate night like that, President
- 5:52Obama. So the fact that he's saying
- 5:54this, he's kind of throwing Biden under the bus, but he's
- 5:56also trying to say, like, guys, it's not a big deal, don't worry
- 5:58about it. Everybody has a bad debate
- 6:00night, not like that, Obama, not like that.
- 6:03And then Obama goes on to say, but this is about truth.
- 6:05And he says what's at stake is someone who lies versus someone
- 6:09who tells the truth. I'm sorry to tell to say this.
- 6:12I'm truly sorry to say this. But the reality is I think both
- 6:15of our candidates can twist the truth.
- 6:18And I think that our current president has manipulated and
- 6:21deceived people. We're going to talk about that
- 6:22more soon. And I have some issues with
- 6:25President Trump as well. We're going to talk about that
- 6:26as well. So for Barack Obama to make the
- 6:29statement that President Biden might be losing his faculties,
- 6:32but at least he always tells the truth.
- 6:34It's just false. It's, it's completely untrue.
- 6:36All right, let's go to this next little clip where Trump fires
- 6:40some shots back at Biden. And I'm going to continue to
- 6:44move until we get the total ban on the, the, the, the, the total
- 6:48initiative relative to what we're going to do with more
- 6:51Border Patrol and more asylum officers.
- 6:54President Trump. I really don't know what he said
- 6:56at the end of this, and I don't think he knows what he said
- 6:59either. Look.
- 7:01Yeah, I mean, it was sadly funny, but it's true.
- 7:04Many people didn't know what he was trying to say.
- 7:06Again, this is the this these are this is the leader of the
- 7:11free world. This is the president of the
- 7:13United States of America. And he can't even put together a
- 7:16sentence in a debate before the American public.
- 7:19And this is the candidate. On that alone, I can understand
- 7:22why Trump would win in a total landslide come November because
- 7:27you're dealing with someone who can't lead.
- 7:29If you can't speak, if you can't think, if you can't put thoughts
- 7:32together, how can you lead a country politically?
- 7:35You know, I think you can still be maybe a very spiritually deep
- 7:38person. Maybe you're you're in your
- 7:40elder years. You still have this beautiful
- 7:42virtue. But that's not what we're
- 7:43talking about with President Biden.
- 7:45We're talking about the president of the United States
- 7:47having one of the most taxing jobs that anybody could possibly
- 7:50have. That requires a tremendous
- 7:51amount of mental fitness. You guys might have missed this
- 7:54news story, but this came out just a few months ago.
- 7:59So apparently there was a special counsel assigned to
- 8:02investigate President Biden. And some of you guys might
- 8:06remember the story if you're really into tracking this.
- 8:09But President Biden actually sidestepped criminal charges
- 8:14after an invest. And this is NBC reporting, by
- 8:16the way. This is not some conservative
- 8:17outlet. You know, it's reporting this.
- 8:19This is NBC, which if anything, is favors President Biden.
- 8:22They report President Joe Biden sidestepped any criminal charges
- 8:26as the investigation into his handling of classified documents
- 8:28concluded. But the political blowback from
- 8:31the special counsel's report could prove even more
- 8:33devastating. What it says exactly here is
- 8:36that the special counsel wrote in in the potential trial that,
- 8:40quote, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he
- 8:45did during our interview with him as a sympathetic, well
- 8:48meaning elderly man with a poor memory.
- 8:53It was tough enough for Biden to reassure voters about his health
- 8:56before this report hit, and now people are questioning his
- 8:59mental fitness. It goes on to say that it was
- 9:03unclear that Biden could even remember when his son Beau was
- 9:06born. He had difficulty membering,
- 9:09remembering personal family memories, along with memories,
- 9:14of course, about our country and his job.
- 9:17If you can't even remember your own child and the circumstances
- 9:22of his birth, if you can't even remember what you had for lunch
- 9:25the day before, you can't even remember.
- 9:26We know what you're supposed to be doing in your job.
- 9:28Can you really serve as the President of the United States?
- 9:32This is not some conspiracy theory from the right.
- 9:35This is not just talking mean or being impolite or rude.
- 9:38These are real serious matters and a tremendously serious
- 9:43concern that now the entire American public shares after
- 9:47watching the debate last night. It was there was no avoiding the
- 9:50fact that President Biden, I believe, is not ready to be
- 9:54president again. And he's not, should not be
- 9:56president now, separate from all the issues, separate from all
- 9:59the other questions of policy and performance.
- 10:01Coming back to his ability to even put together a cogent
- 10:05statement in a debate. It's very concerning.
- 10:09And that alone, I think might cost him by a land side, might
- 10:12cost him the election. All right, well, let's go to the
- 10:14issues, though. That's really what matters,
- 10:17should be mattering. That's what we should be
- 10:19focusing on. Unfortunately, we have to focus
- 10:21on even the question of can this person even lead?
- 10:23But let's go to the issues. Of course, the issue that I
- 10:27think is crucial and is most important is how we treat the
- 10:31most vulnerable members of society.
- 10:33Listen, the economy matters, foreign affairs matter, the
- 10:37border matters, national security matters.
- 10:40Of course these things matter. It's hard to exist as a country
- 10:43without a strong border, without a strong economy, without strong
- 10:47relationships to other countries.
- 10:48And in the and we need peace. We want peace in order to have a
- 10:51strong economy and have strong and flourishing society.
- 10:53All of that is true. But even if we had all of that,
- 10:58if we are killing our children and the law is permitting the
- 11:02killing of children, we cannot flourish as a society.
- 11:06Violence is at the core of our society and injustice is at the
- 11:09core of our society. Of course, I'm talking about
- 11:12abortion. Abortion is the leading cause of
- 11:13death in this country. 2800 children are killed every single
- 11:17day by abortion. We can't continue on with such a
- 11:22moral stain on our national conscience and continue to allow
- 11:25this to happen. But it's happening.
- 11:27So how did the candidates cover this?
- 11:30Let's go to that. There were a lot of shots fired
- 11:33back and forth between the candidates on the issue of
- 11:36abortion, and I want to watch them and analyze them with you
- 11:39guys. Let's start with this first
- 11:41clip. First presidential election
- 11:46since the Supreme Court overturned Roe V Wade.
- 11:49This morning, the court ruled on yet another abortion case
- 11:53temporarily allowing emergency abortions to continue in Idaho
- 11:58Despite that state's restrictive ban.
- 12:00Former President Trump, you take credit for the decision to
- 12:04overturn Roe V. Wade, which returned the issue
- 12:07of abortion to the states. However, the federal government
- 12:11still plays a role in whether or not women have access to
- 12:15abortion pills. They're used in about 2/3 of all
- 12:20abortions. As president, would you block
- 12:23abortion medication? First of all, the Supreme Court
- 12:26just approved the abortion pill and I agree with their decision
- 12:30to have done that and I will not block it.
- 12:33And if you look at this whole question that you're asking a
- 12:37complex but not really complex, 51 years ago you had Roe V Wade
- 12:42and. We got to pause it here because
- 12:44what Trump just did was he's already been disappointing in
- 12:47recent comments on life, but what President Trump just did
- 12:50right out of the gate in this debate was extremely
- 12:52disappointing. And then he does something else
- 12:53that's also disappointing. But I want to start with this
- 12:55because it's really important for us all to know what just
- 12:57happened. The commentator, the Dana Bash,
- 13:01asked the question of the candidates, where do they stand
- 13:04on basically the abortion pill? And the Supreme Court just ruled
- 13:07yesterday effectively to not stop the abortion pill,
- 13:12certainly not stop it. And there's a huge ongoing
- 13:16lawsuit associated with the abortion pill ever since the
- 13:18Food and Drug Administration ultimately fast tracked its
- 13:22usage and it can be sent via mail.
- 13:24Now you have these lethal drugs being sent via mail.
- 13:26They can be sent to a 12 year old in her home by someone
- 13:30without any in person consultation, without any
- 13:32parental knowledge. I mean, it's really horrific,
- 13:34this trafficking of abortion drugs that are are lethal and
- 13:37they land also one out of every 25 women in the emergency room,
- 13:40one out of every 25 women who takes an abortion pill lands in
- 13:44the emergency room. And out of all those 25 women
- 13:46who take the abortion pill, 25 babies at minimum are being
- 13:49killed. And So what does Trump say in
- 13:51response? I mean, she's saying 2/3 of all
- 13:53abortions in America are the abortion pill.
- 13:55And Trump tragically, instead of saying it's horribly tragic that
- 13:58this happens. I'm pro-life through and
- 14:00through. We need to protect life.
- 14:01We need to change hearts and minds.
- 14:02I mean, Trump could have done a softball answer and he didn't
- 14:05even, you know, not even come out of the gate and say ban it,
- 14:08ban it all. He could have just said, of
- 14:09course, we got to fight for their lives.
- 14:10Instead, he says the Supreme Court just approved the abortion
- 14:14pill and that he agreed with their decision.
- 14:18And that Trump would not block the pill.
- 14:22President Trump is saying that he agrees with the decision to
- 14:24allow children to be killed by the abortion pill legally in
- 14:27this country. And that's 2/3 of all abortion.
- 14:30So the position of President Trump, which is so tragic here,
- 14:33this is the man that appointed the justices that gave us the
- 14:36fall of Roe V Wade. The whole point of the fall of
- 14:39Roe V. Wade is so that we can ban
- 14:41abortion and provide legal protections for children who
- 14:44deserve it. That's the whole point.
- 14:47And what are we doing with this great gift of Roe V Wade being
- 14:50overturned? Now the very man who helped it
- 14:52make it happen is saying he wouldn't ban, he wouldn't stop
- 14:56the bloodshed, and instead he would allow it to continue 2/3
- 15:00of it via the abortion pill. So it's terribly disappointing.
- 15:05These are human beings we're talking about.
- 15:06This is not some idea or theoretical child or just some
- 15:10potential child or potential life.
- 15:12These are human beings, boys and girls.
- 15:14They're beating hearts, children that deserve to live that are
- 15:17being killed via the abortion pill.
- 15:19There's stories of women who take the abortion pill and then
- 15:21they see their baby, you know, in the toilet after they're
- 15:24miscarrying these horribly bloody miscarriages in their
- 15:26homes. I mean, it's horrific, horrific.
- 15:29And here here's President Trump saying he supports it
- 15:32ultimately. And then he goes on to say that
- 15:33it's a state's issue and it needs to be a state's issue.
- 15:36Unfortunately, even the Republicans, some of them, like
- 15:38Carrie Lake and President Trump, were mad when Arizona, a state,
- 15:44recently tried to ban all abortions, saying we shouldn't
- 15:47do this. So the Republicans and the
- 15:49leadership, some of them are talking out of both sides of
- 15:51their mouth. On the one hand, they're saying
- 15:53it's a state's issue. It's OK, it's a state's issue.
- 15:55Let the states figure it out on abortion, which, by the way, the
- 15:58states shouldn't get to figure it out.
- 15:59This is not a question that states should get to decide who
- 16:03lives, who dies? Children.
- 16:05Do they get to live? Do they get to die?
- 16:06No, you don't get to enslave somebody just 'cause you live in
- 16:09Louisiana versus New York, it should be illegal.
- 16:13Slavery should be illegal everywhere.
- 16:14Similarly, you don't get to kill someone in the womb because you
- 16:17live in Louisiana versus New York.
- 16:18Killing people in the womb. Human beings should be illegal
- 16:21everywhere. But when Arizona, there was a
- 16:24ruling that came out, this Arizona Supreme Court to ban
- 16:26abortions, President Trump came out against it, saying they
- 16:30shouldn't do that, they shouldn't do that.
- 16:31So even when the states have decided to be pro-life,
- 16:35President Trump is against it. So it's deeply disappointing.
- 16:38Let's keep listening to what he says, how he finishes out the
- 16:40statement. And everybody wanted to get it
- 16:44back to the states. Everybody, without exception,
- 16:46Democrats, Republicans, liberals, conservatives,
- 16:49everybody wanted to back religious leaders.
- 16:52And what I did is I put 3 great Supreme Court justices on the
- 16:56court and they happened to vote in favor of killing Roe V Wade
- 17:00and moving it back to the states.
- 17:02This is something that everybody wanted.
- 17:05Now, 10 years ago or so, they started talking about how many
- 17:07weeks and how many this and getting into other things, but
- 17:10every legal scholar throughout the world, the most respected,
- 17:14wanted it brought back to the states.
- 17:16I did that. That's not.
- 17:17True, by the way, it is important here, you know.
- 17:20I hate that I have to fact checked here, but the reality is
- 17:22no, not every legal scholar thinks that to kill or not to
- 17:25kill preborn children in the womb should be left up to the
- 17:27states. There's a ton of legal scholars,
- 17:29including some of our own Supreme Court justices, who
- 17:31believe that these children in the womb have the right to life
- 17:34regardless of what state they live in.
- 17:36And that under the 14th amendment of our own
- 17:38Constitution, all human beings, all persons, should have equal
- 17:42treatment under the law, including a preborn child.
- 17:45To have equal treatment under the law means that you can't
- 17:48just be killed because you're in the womb.
- 17:49It means that you need to have your rights protected and your
- 17:52first right is life. And in fact, the 14th Amendment
- 17:55even says that no state shall deprive anyone of life,
- 17:59property, life first. You can't have your life taken
- 18:03from you without due process. There's no due process in an
- 18:07abortion. The child's committed no crime.
- 18:09It's not like they go before a jury of their peers and they get
- 18:11the death penalty. No, of course not.
- 18:13They're innocent. So even what Trump is saying
- 18:15here is tragically inaccurate. Let's keep listening.
- 18:18On the higher amount the rest of his statement.
- 18:20Now the states are working it out.
- 18:22If you look at Ohio, it was a decision that was it was a an
- 18:25end result that was a little bit more liberal than you would have
- 18:28thought. Kansas, I would say the same
- 18:30thing. Texas is different, Florida is
- 18:32different, but they're all making their own decisions right
- 18:35now. And right now the states control
- 18:38it. That's the vote of the people
- 18:40like Ronald Reagan. I believe in the exceptions.
- 18:43I am a person that believes, and frankly, I think it's important
- 18:47to believe in the exception. Some people, you have to follow
- 18:49your heart. Some people don't believe in
- 18:50that, but I believe in the exceptions for rape, incest, and
- 18:54the life of the mother. I think it's very important.
- 18:57Some people don't follow your heart, but you have to get
- 19:00elected also. And because that has to do with
- 19:03other things, you got to get elected.
- 19:05The problem they have is they're radical because they will take
- 19:08the life of a child in the eighth month and 9th month and
- 19:11even after birth, after birth. If you look at the former
- 19:14governor of Virginia, he was willing to do this.
- 19:17He said we'll put the baby aside and we'll determine what we do
- 19:20with the baby, meaning we'll kill the baby.
- 19:23What happened is we brought it back to the States and the
- 19:26countries here. So I like some of what Trump is
- 19:28doing here and saying, and I'm going to note that in a moment.
- 19:30But here's the thing Trump is saying.
- 19:32Well, I support exceptions. Follow your heart.
- 19:35Abortion pills, OK if the baby's conceived to rape and incest
- 19:38abortion, killing the baby's OK abortion's OK.
- 19:41And you know, life of the mother, it's OK again, you
- 19:44there's no medically necessary abortion.
- 19:47We, we've debunked this so many times at live action medical
- 19:49experts have debunked this. The left is still pushing this
- 19:52narrative, this lie, unfortunately.
- 19:54But the reality is in a late term situation where there's a,
- 19:58a crisis and a pregnancy and a medical emergency, you can
- 20:00deliver the baby alive. You don't need to kill the baby.
- 20:03You can do an emergency C-section or an emergency
- 20:06delivery. In order to address the
- 20:08immediate health issues the mother's facing and keep that
- 20:10baby, like you don't need to kill the baby first.
- 20:12And if it's preterm, a preterm delivery and it's a medical
- 20:15emergency, in extremely rare cases, that's not considered an
- 20:18abortion. The intent there's not to kill
- 20:19the baby. We wish we had the medical
- 20:21technology to save the baby's life.
- 20:23So even to say we need exceptions to abortion law,
- 20:27elective abortion for medical emergencies is also false,
- 20:30unfortunately. But listen, this is what I wish
- 20:34President Trump had said, and I hope his campaign is listening
- 20:36right now. We're going to send this to his
- 20:38campaign. We, we want this from President
- 20:41Trump. He gave us the fall of Roe V.
- 20:43Wade through those justices that he appointed.
- 20:46And we're grateful for that. But this is what he should have
- 20:48said. This is the winning message.
- 20:50I wish Trump had said, I am proud we overturned Roe.
- 20:53No one has the right to murder. I wish he had said that killing
- 20:56our children through abortion is a national horror that is only
- 20:59paralleled by slavery in our history, that this is a national
- 21:02horror and that life is precious, every life deserves to
- 21:06live. And that I wish he had said that
- 21:08as president, he will do everything in his power to
- 21:11protect children from the mass slaughter of abortion and that
- 21:15life is worth fighting for. You just said that and said
- 21:18that's what I'm going to fight for instead of going this route
- 21:21of saying all these exceptions, abortion pills, OK, he's trying
- 21:25to win, I guess brownie points with the left here with the pro
- 21:30abortion lobby, they're not going to vote for you anyways.
- 21:32President Trump, they're not going to vote for you anyways.
- 21:35And so to try to do this compromise posture, you know,
- 21:39first of all, I just, it's, it's wrong.
- 21:41It's morally wrong to do that. And I don't even think it's
- 21:44politically smart. You want to rally your base
- 21:47right now, President Trump, you want to rally the pro-life
- 21:49movement, You want to rally people along to your cause to
- 21:52say, we're going to fight for life.
- 21:53We're going to do whatever we can in our power to protect life
- 21:56because life is worth fighting for.
- 21:57Like that's a positive message right there.
- 21:59We're going to help families be stronger and healthier, going to
- 22:01do more, more for women. You know, you can have that have
- 22:05that message to that message is important.
- 22:07But this was this was a mess. This was a big mess and
- 22:11disappointing from President Trump.
- 22:13Now, the smart thing he did here guys was that he called out
- 22:17Biden. He called out Biden on the
- 22:20extraordinary pro abortion position of the Biden
- 22:23administration, especially Kamala Harris.
- 22:26I think she's really pulling the strings here because the reality
- 22:29is, if you sat President Biden down, what does he believe deep
- 22:32in his heart? Does he even know what he
- 22:33believes deep in his heart and abortion?
- 22:35I think the guy is really controlled by the Democratic
- 22:38machine. He's kind of a product or a
- 22:40puppet of the Democratic machine.
- 22:42And President Biden, I would argue, is even a puppet of
- 22:45Planned Parenthood here. That's his talking points.
- 22:48And what are his talking points? We want row.
- 22:51Back. We want women's choice.
- 22:55And what that means is there should be no intervention, no
- 22:59policy protecting these children.
- 23:01In fact, women should have to do what they want with their
- 23:03doctor. That's the that's the Democratic
- 23:05talking point. Even if it means late term
- 23:08abortion, Even if it means abortion full term, Even if it
- 23:12means abortion for any reason. Even if it means the abortion
- 23:15pill being sent via the mail to a 13 year old girl without even
- 23:18a doctor's visit and she can land in the emergency room.
- 23:20Her parents don't even know what's going on.
- 23:23The Democrats have notoriously been against parental consent
- 23:26and notification when it comes to abortion.
- 23:29It's crazy. It's outright crazy.
- 23:31It's it's madness. And President Trump is reminding
- 23:35people that's where Biden stands.
- 23:37All right, do we have a clip of Biden talking about where he
- 23:39stands here? All right, let's pull up.
- 23:41Biden now talking about abortion.
- 23:44What his? Take away now coming together on
- 23:47this issue, it's been a great thing.
- 23:49Thank you, President Biden. It's been.
- 23:51A terrible thing, what you've done.
- 23:53The fact is that the vast majority of constitutional
- 23:55scholars supported Roe when it was decided, supported Roe, and
- 23:59that was, that's this idea that they were all against It is just
- 24:02ridiculous. And this is the guy who says the
- 24:05state should be able to have it. We're in a state where in six
- 24:08weeks you don't even know whether you're pregnant or not,
- 24:10but you cannot see a doctor. Have your and have him decide on
- 24:14what your circumstances are, whether you need help.
- 24:17The idea that states are able to do this is a little like saying
- 24:20we're going to turn civil rights back to the states.
- 24:23Let each state have a different rule.
- 24:25Look, there's so many young women who have been including a
- 24:27young woman who just was murdered and he, he went to the
- 24:31funeral and the idea that she was murdered by a, by a, by an
- 24:36immigrant coming in to they talk about that.
- 24:39But here's the deal. There's a lot of young women to
- 24:42be raped by their by their in laws, by their by by their
- 24:45spouses, brothers and sisters, by just.
- 24:49It's just ridiculous. And they can do.
- 24:51Nothing here. OK, guys, what did he just say?
- 24:55I mean, wow. OK, so he starts by saying he
- 24:59loves Roe, basically. And then President Biden starts
- 25:01talking about illegal immigration, undocumented
- 25:04immigration, and saying that there was a young woman who was
- 25:06murdered. Completely non sequitur, totally
- 25:09different issue. There was a glitch in his brain
- 25:11clearly there. And then President Biden has
- 25:14this line where he talks about what about the one he's talking
- 25:17about abortion again, kind of he says, what about the young women
- 25:21raped by their in laws, by their spouses, by their brothers and
- 25:25sisters? And he kind of trails off at the
- 25:27end. What did you guys just hear?
- 25:30Because it sounds like President Biden is saying that we need to,
- 25:35we need Roe V. Wade back because otherwise
- 25:37young women will be assaulted by their own sisters.
- 25:43It doesn't make any sense. And that just happened.
- 25:48So more of the mental unfitness stuff happening here in real
- 25:51time. And also, there's no coherent
- 25:54language coming out of his mouth about abortion anyways.
- 25:56What we do know is the policy of the Democratic Party and we do
- 26:01know the policies of the Biden administration, regardless of
- 26:03what he says here in this debate.
- 26:05And the policies are repeal, repeal any pro-life law, get rid
- 26:08of them all. We want abortion on demand
- 26:10without apology and there should be no limit.
- 26:13It's all what women want or whatever one woman or one
- 26:15abortionist wants. Whatever Planned Parenthood
- 26:17wants, they get. Keep in mind, Planned Parenthood
- 26:19gets over 1/2 of a billion dollars from taxpayers every
- 26:22single year. And under Biden's, Biden's
- 26:24administration, he would give them more.
- 26:27So that's a sharp contrast here between the candidates.
- 26:30It's very clear that we're dealing with, unfortunately, 2
- 26:34pro-choice candidates. We, we're, that's the reality
- 26:37guys. And I know some people who
- 26:38really support and love Trump or get upset when I say this.
- 26:41And I'm not trying to upset you. I'm trying to tell you the
- 26:43truth. The truth is this, President
- 26:46Trump is not a pro-life candidate.
- 26:48He's not President Biden is certainly not a pro-life
- 26:50candidate. He's very pro abortion.
- 26:53President Trump is less pro abortion than President Biden.
- 26:56That is a fact. He supports some restrictions on
- 26:59abortion. But what are we?
- 27:01Talking about when we use even that language, some restrictions
- 27:04on killing babies, It's OK to kill other babies.
- 27:08How do we get here, guys? Separate from the mental and
- 27:11fitness stuff, how do we get to the point where we have these
- 27:13two powerful men on the most public debate stage in the world
- 27:18debating which babies it's OK to kill and agreeing on the babies
- 27:23that it is OK to kill as long as they're little enough?
- 27:26Tragic. We need new leadership, guys.
- 27:29We need new leadership long term.
- 27:30And you know they that we will have new leadership in the
- 27:32future. One way or another.
- 27:34These gentlemen are pushing 80s, nineties soon.
- 27:38So we're going to have new leadership, but it's up to us as
- 27:41the voters to demand better. It really is.
- 27:44It's up to us as the people to always speak the truth, to
- 27:48always, even when there's a cult of personality going on, even
- 27:50when we love maybe other things that President Trump did,
- 27:53whatever it might be, to still speak the truth, to still speak
- 27:57the truth and let the chips fall.
- 27:59You can still vote for the lesser of two evils.
- 28:01For those familiar with, as an example, Catholic moral teaching
- 28:04on elections, you have the right to follow your conscience.
- 28:07You should vote your conscience always.
- 28:10And you often have a choice between 2 evils and you pick the
- 28:13lesser of two evils. But I don't think the pro-life
- 28:16movement or good people of faith should say that Trump is their
- 28:20big champion and their hero. I don't think that's healthy
- 28:23because look what we just got on this national debate stage.
- 28:26Let me know what you guys think in the comments.
- 28:28I'm going to be taking questions more throughout the rest of this
- 28:32segment on the debate. But the reality is we have two
- 28:35candidates who support abortion, 1 supports it less.
- 28:39That is the reality. It's a sad reality.
- 28:43OK, before we move on to the border, got to thank our sponsor

- 30:05heart. nutrition.com Use the code Lila for 20% off your
- 30:09order. There are other topics, of
- 30:12course, wrestled with besides abortion in the debate.
- 30:16They went through the economy, the border war.
- 30:19I want to run to the economy briefly here.
- 30:21I have some thoughts. So this is complicated, of
- 30:24course. You know, anytime that there is
- 30:26a debate about who did what for the economy, it gets very
- 30:29complex because there's a lot of factors involved.
- 30:31The president of the United States, of course, has a big
- 30:33influence on the economy, but that's not the only factor going
- 30:36on. There's other things going on.
- 30:37And so that's always the debate. But what I wanted to get to here
- 30:40was a few things. First of all, just some facts,
- 30:43guys, if you didn't already know this.
- 30:44The GDP grew strongly under both presidents.
- 30:49They actually grew at a similar rate.
- 30:53And then when COVID hit, it fell a bit under Biden or fell a bit
- 30:56under Trump, excuse me, but it let it's been leading.
- 30:59So it looks like Biden's kind of leading, but that was in part
- 31:01due to COVID. The stock market, these are just
- 31:04the numbers over the last eight years.
- 31:05The stock market performed better under Trump, again, at
- 31:0814% versus 11. Inflation is the big one.
- 31:12Everyone knows this because you're seeing those prices at
- 31:14the grocery store or the gas station.
- 31:16Biden inflation is 20 percent, 20% inflation in less than four
- 31:21years. That's crazy compared to 5% from
- 31:25Trump. So this is the big one.
- 31:28This is what people are mad about.
- 31:29This is what people are saying. Does my grocery bill look better
- 31:33under Biden? Does my gas bill look better
- 31:36under Biden? No.
- 31:37It looks much better under President Trump.
- 31:39Now, is that fully Biden's Trump?
- 31:41Was it fully because was that fully Biden's fault?
- 31:44Was that fully Trump? Trump's, you know, the good
- 31:47things that he did that led to a lower inflation rate?
- 31:49Those debates can happen, and we're not going to get into
- 31:52those debates. But I think looking at the
- 31:53facts. You can see why people consider
- 31:56Trump a better decision for the economy.
- 31:59The other part of this has to do with policies, of course, and
- 32:03tax cuts. Trump is more for tax cuts.
- 32:06That's a fact. And Biden actually campaigns on
- 32:08how he'll tax the wealthy more. And what Trump responds with is
- 32:12to say, well, when you cut taxes on businesses, when you cut
- 32:16taxes on business owners, they can reinvest that money back
- 32:20into the economy instead of giving it to the bloated federal
- 32:22government. And Biden of.
- 32:24Course says well just tax them more because they're rich.
- 32:26Well, the reality is the folks that usually have the most money
- 32:29are also driving most of the economic growth in this country.
- 32:32And that, of course, is the classic argument for why tax
- 32:35cuts generally are a good thing to stimulate the economy,
- 32:38because that money gets reinvested back into the economy
- 32:40instead of going to the bloated federal government.
- 32:43I don't like taxes. I prefer smaller government.
- 32:46I think that the government is so full of a lot of waste and
- 32:49corruption that less is better and it also can help.
- 32:52Curb spending because there's less money coming in.
- 32:55It often doesn't, by the way. Spending just happens and we
- 32:57just go more into debt. But the reality is.
- 33:01We as a country are stronger when we allow businesses and
- 33:05individuals to have more of their money, to spend more of it
- 33:08on their businesses, families and communities.
- 33:11And this brings me to my next point about policy.
- 33:14Biden talked about childcare. And the need for childcare, he
- 33:17actually mentioned it a few times in last night's debate.
- 33:19But Biden's vision for the economy and for the American
- 33:23family is for the government to subsidize childcare and that
- 33:28would throw mothers particularly back into the workforce so that
- 33:31they can make more money and that will supposedly help their
- 33:33families more. I don't think this is the right
- 33:36vision. I don't think this is a truly
- 33:38pro family policy. I think this is an actually pro
- 33:41government in charge policy to say the government should
- 33:45subsidized daycare, drop the baby off, the mother can go to
- 33:48work. Because the reality is often
- 33:50these are families struggling to get by.
- 33:52They need 2 incomes and the mother is not going to some
- 33:55super high paying job if she can't afford daycare.
- 33:57Often it's not a high paying job and instead of incentivizing the
- 34:01mother and empowering the family to be able to make it on one
- 34:05income and for the mother to be able to be with her kids,
- 34:08they're saying drop the kid off at a subsidized government
- 34:11daycare and you can go push paper at this other low paying
- 34:14job. How is that good for?
- 34:17Anybody it's not good for the child because they are in some.
- 34:22Daycare where they are not being loved and cared for the way they
- 34:25would by their own parent. It's not good for the mother
- 34:28because she's off in a job that's not some high paying
- 34:31great job anyways and she's pushing paper just to survive,
- 34:36right? Or maybe she's working in the
- 34:37food industry. Or the services industry and
- 34:40she's not with her baby or her babies.
- 34:43She's not getting that precious time.
- 34:44That's that's very depressing for most women, by the way.
- 34:48And it's not helpful for the husband in the picture if there
- 34:51is a husband or the man, because he's now doing all of this work
- 34:54and he can't even provide a home.
- 34:56They can't live on one income. The economy is struggling so
- 34:59badly. He can't even live on one income
- 35:01so that he can even provide a home for his wife to stay home
- 35:04with the child, right? And it's not good for the future
- 35:07of the country because you're not investing in the American
- 35:09family. You're investing in this, I
- 35:12think feminist vision of the woman should always be out in
- 35:15the workforce no matter what, even after she's three months
- 35:17postpartum. That is not empowering to the
- 35:21American family, to women, to men or to certainly not
- 35:24children. So this vision of government
- 35:27funded daycare is not a good one.
- 35:29All right here. I want to read this.
- 35:33The fiscal year 2025 budget released earlier this month
- 35:36proposes major investments to increase accessibility and
- 35:39reduce childcare costs, guaranteeing affordable, high
- 35:42quality childcare from birth until kindergarten, with most
- 35:46families paying no more than $10 a day and the lowest income
- 35:50families paying nothing at all. Why don't you just give a cash
- 35:55credit to families with young children so the mother doesn't
- 35:58have to leave her child at birth or a few weeks or months after
- 36:03to go into the workforce? And I hate to say this, but I
- 36:06think it has to do with a competing vision of the human
- 36:10person. I believe that the competing
- 36:12vision that the Democrats are promoting with these policies
- 36:15and Biden is promoting with these policies is not a family
- 36:18first vision. It doesn't value motherhood.
- 36:21Instead, it values money and work.
- 36:25It's actually a very Marxist view of the world that we are
- 36:28cogs and workers and we need to kind of be treated equally and
- 36:31have equal opportunities. But the family is not this
- 36:34important institution. That work really defines you.
- 36:37And instead of your, your relationships and your identity
- 36:41is as a human being is precious enough as is.
- 36:45And what do we get when that happens?
- 36:47You get broken families, less time as together as a family,
- 36:51more more stress and division on the family.
- 36:54It breaks down families and it's not as healthy for children.
- 36:57We talk about this a lot on the podcast.
- 36:59You guys have heard me do interviews with people like
- 37:01Erica Komisar to talk about the psychological importance of the
- 37:04first few years of child development and how important it
- 37:07is for that baby to be with their mother in particular.
- 37:10So public policy should support that, not break that down
- 37:13further. And unfortunately, that's what
- 37:15the Democrats want here. And there even has been some
- 37:19talk in Republican circles about government funded daycare.
- 37:22We got to cut that immediately. I think any Republican leaders,
- 37:27you know, we're live action, We're constantly talking about
- 37:30policy for both parties. And the policy should always,
- 37:33always support the family unit as opposed to just pushing the
- 37:37parents into the workforce. The idea should be how do we
- 37:39create healthier families that can have more time for each
- 37:43other and care for each other instead of pushing them into the
- 37:46workforce just to become cause in the economic machine.
- 37:49So I'm not a fan of the child care policy of President Biden.
- 37:52I agree. Inflation is way too high.
- 37:54You know, would that get better under Trump?
- 37:56I don't know. I don't know.
- 37:58I can't tell you that. But what I can say is the
- 38:00Democratic vision for public policy for the family is not a
- 38:04good one. It's anti family and I don't
- 38:06think it's worth. I don't think anyone should be
- 38:09voting for that. We should not be voting for
- 38:10that. All right, let next one is the.
- 38:12Border before the border, I have to thank our sponsor good
- 38:15ranchers is actually connected to what's happening at the

- 38:22businesses supporting our our foreign policy needs to be
- 38:27ultimately directed towards protecting America.
- 38:30Our border policy a strong borders important to a strong
- 38:33national security. What I love about good ranchers
- 38:36is they're building a company that supports American
- 38:38businesses and supports American ranchers.
- 38:41You might not realize this, but when you go to the grocery store
- 38:44it says product of the USA on your meat or your.
- 38:46Chicken, but 10% of your grocery store meat only 10% is actually
- 38:50from the US. Most of it 90% plus is from
- 38:53other countries. But you don't know that because
- 38:55it says product of the USA. They slapped that label on it.
- 38:57American ranchers are needed in this country.
- 39:01We need to support them. We need to patronize them.
- 39:03And that's what goodranchers.com does.
- 39:05They source all of their meat from American ranchers.
- 39:08Their meat's also amazing. Their chicken's amazing.
- 39:10I talk. About on the show, whenever I
- 39:11talk about good Ranchers because we love it in my household.
- 39:14It's delicious and juicy. It's not stringy and dry and
- 39:17rubbery like a lot of grocery store chicken, quite frankly.

- 39:59OK, the border, our foreign policy right now is pretty
- 40:03nasty. Our border is in disarray.
- 40:05I think both the left and the right agree on that.
- 40:08I just want to talk about this briefly.
- 40:09We're not going to spend a lot of time on the show about this,
- 40:11but I do want to say this when it comes to a strong border.
- 40:16That is not in any way hateful of people who are from other
- 40:20countries or not valuing the dignity of immigrants.
- 40:24I think unfortunately, the the language here can get so
- 40:28politicized and it's so polarized to say, oh, we want a
- 40:31strong border, OK, then you are xenophobic.
- 40:33You don't like immigrants. I mean, nothing could be further
- 40:36from the truth. The reality is every country by
- 40:39nature, by definition, needs to have a border.
- 40:42Otherwise you're not a country. This idea of completely open
- 40:45borders, there needs to be a border.
- 40:47Now, how you manage the border will vary based on the needs of
- 40:50the nation and based on their neighbors.
- 40:52But the reality is today, our border is very porous, and it is
- 40:56the interest in the right of any sovereign country to protect
- 41:00their borders. And it's not good for people
- 41:03coming across the border typically to just come across
- 41:05without any documentation or any regulation.
- 41:08Because the reality is that's how human smuggling often
- 41:10happens. Drug trafficking often happens,
- 41:13and that's what's happening at our especially southern border.
- 41:16Here are some facts that you guys should know.
- 41:19Under the Biden administration, there have been 6.4 million.
- 41:23This is a report from Christian Science Monitor and they're
- 41:25using CBP data. Over 6.4 million encounters
- 41:30along official ports of entry so far, which they, which is
- 41:34quadruple, quadruple what it was under the Trump administration.
- 41:40So 6.4 million encounters. And these are encounters by
- 41:43Border Patrol with undocumented immigrants coming across the
- 41:46border. Often they end up in the United
- 41:48States. Sometimes they're apprehended
- 41:49and they don't. But a lot of the times they just
- 41:51end up in the United States. And the reality is it's
- 41:53quadruple what it was under Trump, four times the amount the
- 41:57Republicans say. Well, it's four times the amount
- 41:59because more people are coming because Biden has rolled back
- 42:02all these executive orders. Of course, the Democrats would
- 42:04respond and say, well, many of these executive orders were bad
- 42:09and they were actually against the dignity of the immigrant
- 42:12because in some cases, families were separated.
- 42:15By the way, I'm a completely against family separation.
- 42:18I think it's horrible. But some of that was happening
- 42:20under President Obama and then Vice President Biden.
- 42:24So it's not like family separation never happened under
- 42:26the Democrats. The reality here is it's a mess.
- 42:29And the posture and tone of the Biden administration has been
- 42:33looser on immigration than the Trump administration.
- 42:37I'm not going to go into all of the details here.
- 42:39We're going to do another segment on this.
- 42:40I did do a podcast early on in this podcast history when it was
- 42:45just an audio show, but we actually deep dived some myths
- 42:49about immigration and what is the proper way to think
- 42:52philosophically about immigration policy.
- 42:55You can find that episode on podcast app.
- 42:57If you're watching on YouTube, go check it out and download it.
- 43:00We talked about the Christian response to immigration and I
- 43:03actually got really great feedback on that episode.
- 43:05People on both the left and the right saying I thought what you
- 43:07said was really fair and I agreed with it.
- 43:09So I think it's important that we share our fundamental
- 43:11principles together. And a couple of the principles I
- 43:14share in that podcast when it comes to immigration are these
- 43:16every nation does have a right to its sovereign borders.
- 43:19They have a right to borders. That's important.
- 43:22Open borders is not some good goodwill thing to do.
- 43:25It's actually not goodwill for your own people.
- 43:28And the number two people, individuals from other
- 43:32countries, have the right to seek a better life for
- 43:34themselves. A lot of people coming to the
- 43:36United States are coming here because they want a better life
- 43:38for themselves. They're fleeing violence or poor
- 43:40economic conditions in their country of origin, and they have
- 43:43the right to seek that. That doesn't necessarily mean
- 43:45they have the right to enter any country they want to, but they
- 43:47have the right to seek it. There's a lot more I get into
- 43:49that show, but please go check it out.
- 43:52There have been a lot of reports, guys of just crime
- 43:56associated with illegal immigration, some recent
- 44:00heartbreaking reports. And, and the thing that I think
- 44:03makes these reports so controversial is this the left
- 44:06will say or Democrats will say typically, well, you're just
- 44:08picking these horrible stories and saying that generalizing it
- 44:11to all immigrants. All in all, undocumented
- 44:13immigrants aren't like that. Of course, that's true.
- 44:16But what the right says typically with this is that if
- 44:18you see undocumented immigrants committing heinous acts against
- 44:21American citizens or residents, like this case, this young girl
- 44:25who was just murdered, recently assaulted and murdered, she was
- 44:3012 years old and she was killed by two undocumented immigrants.
- 44:34She wasn't talked about in the debate.
- 44:37She was kind of referenced in the debate last night.
- 44:39Here's an article on it. She was a Houston girl.
- 44:42We can Scroll down here so we can see she was a girl from
- 44:46Houston, 12 years, 12 year old Jocelyn and two undocumented
- 44:51immigrants in the middle of the night killed her beneath the
- 44:53bridge and threw her body savagely in a Creek.
- 44:57And a lot of people are just shocked by this.
- 44:59And what's so heartbreaking is it didn't need to happen.
- 45:02If these men had been undoc, if these men had been apprehended,
- 45:05if these men had been deported, if they hadn't been allowed to
- 45:07come in here in the 1st place, Jocelyn would be alive today,
- 45:10right? And that, of course, is the
- 45:12argument from those criticizing Biden that these men came here
- 45:15under under Biden and Jocelyn would be alive today if we had
- 45:19had a stronger, stronger border policies.
- 45:22One thing that Trump was quick to say in the debate, too, is
- 45:24that a lot of military and a lot of Border Patrol supports
- 45:27President Trump and like the way he does things more than Biden
- 45:30and. That is a fact they are they do
- 45:33learn more conservative because the the again the world view
- 45:37often coming from the left on this it sounds very pro human
- 45:41person like pro immigrant. Pro pro woman right?
- 45:45But the policies to achieve being pro immigrant or pro woman
- 45:49often do the opposite. Abortion as an example is not
- 45:52pro woman, it's anti woman. An open border as an example is
- 45:55not ultimately anti pro immigrant, it's anti immigrant.
- 45:59Especially those that have come here legally and especially
- 46:02those that are already here. And of course, opening our
- 46:05borders leads to more chaos at the border as well.
- 46:08And less regulation at the border means more drug
- 46:10trafficking, more human smuggling, more sex trafficking,
- 46:13all of these horrific things. The last huge topic of the
- 46:18debate was foreign wars. That's a big one.
- 46:21We are probably going to do an episode, we're going to be doing
- 46:23another episode on the Israel Gaza war.
- 46:25I've talked about that before. But the bottom line is this.
- 46:28There was a, there was a quote from Trump in here where he
- 46:31talked about the needless deaths.
- 46:32I don't know if we have that clip from President Trump.
- 46:35Let's let's pull this up and watch this.
- 46:40Yeah. And Ukraine, if we had a real
- 46:42president, the president that knew that was respected by
- 46:45Putin, he would have never, he would have never invaded
- 46:48Ukraine. A lot of people are dead right
- 46:51now, much more than people know. You know, they talk about
- 46:53numbers. You can double those numbers,
- 46:55maybe triple those numbers. He did nothing to stop it.
- 46:58In fact, I think he encouraged Russia from going in.
- 47:01I tell you what happened. He was so bad with Afghanistan.
- 47:03It was such a horrible embarrassment, most embarrassing
- 47:07moment in the history of our country that when Putin watched
- 47:10that and he saw the incompetence that he should, he should have
- 47:13fired those generals like I fired the one that you
- 47:15mentioned. And so he's got no love lost,
- 47:17but he should have fired those generals.
- 47:19No general got fired for the most embarrassing moment in the
- 47:24history of our country, Afghanistan, where we left
- 47:26billions of dollars of equipment behind.
- 47:28We lost 13 beautiful soldiers and 38 soldiers were
- 47:32obliterated. And by the way, we left people
- 47:34behind too. We left American citizens
- 47:36behind. When Putin saw that, he said,
- 47:39you know what? I think we're going to go in and
- 47:41maybe take my this was his dream.
- 47:43I talked to him about it, his dream.
- 47:45The difference is he never would have invaded Ukraine, never.
- 47:50Just like Israel would have never been invaded in a million
- 47:55years by Hamas. You know why?
- 47:57Because Iran was broke with me. I wouldn't let anybody do
- 48:00business with him so. You know, Trump is doing a
- 48:03pretty good job communicating here.
- 48:05Of course, the the argument from his campaign, which is that
- 48:08under Biden we've had Israel, Gaza war, we have Putin invading
- 48:12Russia, invading Ukraine. This did not happen under
- 48:14President Trump. And that there were apparent
- 48:18policies under Biden that seemed to signal weakness to the
- 48:22international community. And President Trump is saying,
- 48:25under me, it would have never happened, Starting with the
- 48:27withdrawal from Afghanistan, where we left a ton of equipment
- 48:29behind and endangered a ton of Americans, including American
- 48:33soldiers, because we withdrew in such a sloppy way.
- 48:36Now, the opposition would say, OK, well, withdrawing from any
- 48:40country your military is very messy, period.
- 48:42And thank God we did it because now we're not on the ground in
- 48:45Afghanistan as much as we were before.
- 48:48Yeah. But did it have to be so messy?
- 48:49Did it have to be so bloody? And now because of these wars
- 48:53that we're seeing in the Middle East, Israel, Gaza, the war
- 48:57between now Ukraine and Russia, we're seeing 10s of thousands of
- 49:01deaths in those regions and that could spread.
- 49:06And that is the fear today. There is a fear that these wars
- 49:09will escalate, More countries will jump into the fight and
- 49:13then we're facing potentially World War three.
- 49:16Are we safer under President Trump versus President Putin?
- 49:20Which which? President would make us safer.
- 49:22A lot of military supports President Trump.
- 49:25A lot of our military does support President Trump.
- 49:26So curious your guys's thoughts on that.
- 49:29We'll probably deep dive out in a future episode and get some
- 49:31experts in the room to maybe debate and discuss it.
- 49:34But that is the big question, that existential question
- 49:36hanging over a lot of people's heads is which which future
- 49:40would be safer, the President Trump future or the President
- 49:43Biden? And if the last four years is
- 49:45any indication, it's not looking good, guys.
- 49:46It is not looking good. We need to pray for an end to
- 49:49the war in Russia and Ukraine. The war in Ukraine need to pray
- 49:53for an end to the the Gaza Israel war.
- 49:55But you can't have you do not achieve peace simply by
- 49:59immediate, an immediate ceasefire.
- 50:02As an example, in Israel, Gaza, if there was a ceasefire from
- 50:05the Israeli side and Israel, the IDF just stopped, stop firing
- 50:09rockets, stop trying to put out Hamas, Would that being peace,
- 50:12Would that mean peace in Israel, Gaza?
- 50:14The reality is Hamas, it was under a ceasefire.
- 50:17There was a peace agreement when Hamas on October 7th came into
- 50:21Israel early in the morning on a Saturday morning and slaughtered
- 50:241200 Israelis, including children.
- 50:27There was a ceasefire then. So these are very volatile
- 50:30regions and long standing conflicts that are not so
- 50:32simple. And the question is what is the
- 50:34United States's posture? Do we engage?
- 50:37Do we not engage? This, of course, is always the
- 50:39debate. All right, guys, we're going to
- 50:41do a special segment for Locals Only subscribers over on our
- 50:47Locals page. Before we do that, I wanted to
- 50:49watch one more ad and AD from the Democrats about abortion.
- 50:54This is actually from a Democrat supported.
- 50:57I think it's a PAC. There's a lot of money right now
- 51:01being poured into this election between President Trump, former
- 51:04President Trump, and President Biden.
- 51:06We're going to see hundreds of millions of dollars is probably
- 51:08going to top billions of dollars in money in this election.
- 51:12It is a very consequential election 2024 and you're going
- 51:15to see a lot of that money being spent on abortion messaging.
- 51:19Tragically, you're going to see most of that money being spent
- 51:22on pro abortion messaging from Biden supporters because
- 51:27President Trump is not really campaigning on life.
- 51:30He's campaigning on compromising life, unfortunately.
- 51:33So I want to take a little look at some of this, some of these
- 51:36ads and we'll close out with this.
- 51:38This is actually sadly humorous. I mean, you can see the the
- 51:44craziness of this worldview, but this is from a, a company that
- 51:49is pushing for Biden. They're against Trump, of
- 51:51course, claiming that Republicans want to ban
- 51:54contraception. And they're doing that with this
- 51:58ad to show people what the world would look like under President
- 52:01Trump. So let's take a look.
- 52:02I'll. Be quick.
- 52:22ID please. Do you need an ID to buy condoms
- 52:25now? It's a new legislation passed by
- 52:27Republicans in Congress after they voted against the Right to
- 52:29Contraception Act Get. Out of here.
- 52:31I don't make the rules. Will these be used with the
- 52:34spouse? No.
- 52:37Are you in a committed monogamous relationship?
- 52:39We haven't really had the talk yet.
- 52:41Is this heterosexual copulation? Yes.
- 52:45Does that matter? Do you like Taylor Swift?
- 52:48I mean her heirs torta was lit. I'm sorry, you're not eligible
- 52:53to buy the condoms. Do you still want to buy the
- 52:58Rose? OK, so for those listening on
- 53:08podcast, what we just watched what you just heard, it was an
- 53:12ad and it is from the Democrats of pro abortion ad and it's
- 53:17saying that Republicans are trying to take away
- 53:19contraception and they're showing a man they're showing a
- 53:24couple who are in a in a car outside of a gas station, not
- 53:30married or anything, obviously just like a hook up, a random
- 53:33hook up. He stops, runs into a gas
- 53:35station to buy a single, like cheap little gas station rose
- 53:39and to buy birth control condoms to go back in and finish a
- 53:43hookup. And the lady is stopping him and
- 53:45almost like an Angel saying, you sure you want to do this?
- 53:50I mean, honestly, when I watched this ad, I was like, oh, is this
- 53:53an ad for why we should ban contraception?
- 53:57Because it means that irresponsible men can't just be
- 54:01having sex with women outside gas stations and just handing
- 54:03them a gas station rose and thinking that that's chivalry,
- 54:06that's love, that's romance. OK, That's not such a dystopian
- 54:10future right there. That maybe that's not a good
- 54:12thing to do, not a good thing, not a good way to have a
- 54:15relationship with somebody. I don't know, call me old
- 54:18fashioned, but I don't think hooking up at a gas station is
- 54:22love, is romance. I don't think that's romantic.
- 54:26I think that's usually the stereotype of what people do
- 54:29with prostitutes and trafficking of individuals.
- 54:32And, you know, there's like this in the side of the road late at
- 54:36night. This is where bad things happen.
- 54:38This is not a vision of any kind of positive future for men or
- 54:42for women. But that's what this ad shows.
- 54:45And they're saying, oh, this poor guy, He can't go buy
- 54:47himself a condom to deal with his irresponsibility further.
- 54:49I mean, The thing is really sad. Here's the reality.
- 54:53As you guys know, contraception fails.
- 54:56In fact, half of the women who have abortions were on
- 54:58contraception the month they got pregnant.
- 55:00Condoms fail. They actually have a failure
- 55:02rate. That you can see on an insert in
- 55:05the condom package that they don't always work.
- 55:07OK, what happens when that fails?
- 55:10That birth control, pregnancy often happens.
- 55:12There's a new life that's conceived.
- 55:13Then what happens? The contraceptive culture and
- 55:16mentality says, OK, let's go get an abortion now.
- 55:19We didn't want to be parents, let's go get an abortion.
- 55:21Abortion is America's backup contraception.
- 55:24It's horrible. And that's not a pro-life
- 55:28country. That's not a just or loving
- 55:30country. I'm not a country I want to live
- 55:32in. I want my future, my kids to
- 55:34grow up in. So in a way, this ad is
- 55:37accomplishing the opposite of what it wants to do by saying
- 55:39yeah or people watching I think are like, wow, this is this is
- 55:43not the future that I want or a good future for men and for
- 55:46women unless and the other thing.
- 55:49That you know. What is what is this narrative
- 55:50of Republicans want to ban contraception?
- 55:52What they're really talking about guys, is this, did you
- 55:55know that a lot of contraceptives today, and you
- 55:58even read the insert on in a birth control box, a lot of
- 56:02contraception has a backup mechanism that does design so
- 56:06that the woman's uterine lining is weakened so that the baby
- 56:11that's newly conceived is not able to implant and there's a
- 56:14very early term abortion. That's what a lot of
- 56:17contraception, hormonal contraception is designed to do,
- 56:20kill very early conceived children so that they no longer
- 56:25can grow by making the womb a hostile environment that of
- 56:29course, is against the rights of that newly conceived child.
- 56:32And that's why along with all of the health disadvantages, all of
- 56:36the great toll that contraception can have, hormonal
- 56:39contraception can have on a woman's health.
- 56:41That's why a lot of people are against it.
- 56:43So this is a very dishonest ad in one sense about the reason
- 56:47why people are considering banning contraception.
- 56:49It's not to ban contraception per SE.
- 56:51It's to ban abortifacients, contraception that actually can
- 56:55act and and does act as an abortifacient.
- 56:58But in addition, contraception is not the way.
- 57:01It's not loving. It's not romantic like they're
- 57:04trying to show in this crazy ad. And again, it's the different
- 57:08visions. It's a competing vision, right,
- 57:09of a country. The vision of hook up sex, the
- 57:13vision of sex without responsibility, sex without love
- 57:16and commitment. Unfortunately, a lot of
- 57:18Democratic policies promote that vision versus the vision of
- 57:23supporting marriage, supporting family, supporting children,
- 57:26supporting responsibility. I'm not saying every Republican
- 57:28policy does that. No, I'm not saying that.
- 57:31But that is the vision that we're fighting for and those are
- 57:34the policies that we're working towards as well.
- 57:36All right, guys, I'm going to take a look at this chat here.
- 57:39Thanks so much, guys for coming on in.
- 57:41Caroline, thanks so much for the comment.
- 57:43She says I always learn a lot listening to these.
- 57:45Thank you so much, Caroline, for listening.
- 57:48There's a lot of heated debate in the chat section today.
- 57:51You guys are on fire. I love it.
- 57:54A lot of people talking about the faith, great.
- 57:56We want to always do this through a faith-based lens, of
- 58:00course, because that is this is God's world.
- 58:03There were some comments earlier.
- 58:05I wanted to just make sure I responded to some of these notes
- 58:08here that you guys put in. Thanks again for listening for
- 58:10those on YouTube live right now. Lot of comments about Biden and
- 58:15Trump. It not being fair to Biden to
- 58:18allow him to continue to act as president.
- 58:22I've seen that comment a lot. How can they do this to him?
- 58:26And they call it elder abuse. What Jill Biden is doing to
- 58:29allow her husband to continue to be president.
- 58:31Yeah, it's pretty rough, guys. All right, what do we do in
- 58:34conclusion here? Let's pray.
- 58:36Let's pray for our candidates. Let's pray for President Biden
- 58:40to step down. Let's pray for new leadership in
- 58:44this country that is pro-life and pro family and that can also
- 58:48live in a right, right in a right way.
- 58:51I have a strong moral compass. I think that is the future.
- 58:55By the way, I think what you're seeing right now with Trump
- 58:57versus Biden, it's sort of a death thrall of an old way of
- 59:01doing politics. And I think there can be a new
- 59:04generation of political leadership that is very focused
- 59:07on faith, on family, and on the common sense policies.
- 59:10And that's it's honest and true. I do believe that that's
- 59:14possible for this country. I am not just, I think I'm not
- 59:17being unrealistic. I think I am optimistic, but I
- 59:20don't think I'm unrealistic because I believe the human
- 59:23person is capable of so much good.
- 59:25And if we pray for that, if we work towards that ourselves, and
- 59:28if we ask for that from our current candidates and not get
- 59:31caught up in this, I think a false narrative that we have to
- 59:37consider Trump this hero in order to beat Biden.
- 59:39I don't think that's true. I think we can call a spade a
- 59:41spade and still vote for the lesser of two evils.
- 59:44I think that sets a long term foundation for how we think
- 59:49about politics, where we call a spade a spade, where we don't
- 59:53speak lies, where we call our politicians to higher account.
- 59:57Well, we also understand that in politics, people make
- 1:00:00compromises and we do. When we get to that voting box,
- 1:00:02we'll follow our conscience and often vote for need to vote for
- 1:00:05the lesser of two evils. Thanks again so much for
- 1:00:08listening to show guys. And for those on podcast app,
- 1:00:11don't forget to subscribe to the show wherever you listen.
