- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn turn water to the water. Go. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing, I show will good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now.
- 2:09Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got radio still, Steve Harvey
- 2:16Speaker 1: got radio show. Sometimes when I chuckle like that reminds
- 2:19Speaker 1: me of my oldest brother to pass the where he
- 2:21Speaker 1: used to laugh like that. It's kind of funny how
- 2:23Speaker 1: jeans get passed down through the line. I don't know
- 2:26Speaker 1: why I told y'all that, just want to share with
- 2:28Speaker 1: you that's all. As always, always kind of ask God
- 2:32Speaker 1: to help me, you know, um, and and and and
- 2:36Speaker 1: I had I had gotten off track a little bit
- 2:39Speaker 1: because one of the principles of success I want to
- 2:43Speaker 1: share with you all today is a law of attraction.
- 2:47Speaker 1: That is a very very serious principle. It cannot be
- 2:51Speaker 1: ignored the law of attraction. And I'm not going to
- 2:56Speaker 1: be able to explain it to you as well as
- 2:59Speaker 1: the book Secrets can or as well as some people.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I can only articulate it to you the way that
- 3:06Speaker 1: I see it, And the law of attraction is very,
- 3:10Speaker 1: very real. The law of attraction is a principle of success.
- 3:15Speaker 1: It is something that everyone has to adhere to. Now,
- 3:20Speaker 1: whether you know the law of attraction or not, it
- 3:23Speaker 1: does not make it not exist for you. This is
- 3:28Speaker 1: the case where ignorance is not the excuse. The fact
- 3:33Speaker 1: that no one told it to you. There is no
- 3:37Speaker 1: pass for this one. The fact that you never heard
- 3:40Speaker 1: it before it does not allow you to do it
- 3:44Speaker 1: any other way. So let me see if I can
- 3:48Speaker 1: put it to you best I can. The law of attraction,
- 3:52Speaker 1: the law of attraction, to put it real simple, is
- 3:55Speaker 1: the thing that you focus on, the thing that you
- 3:59Speaker 1: taught talk about, the thing that you think of, is
- 4:04Speaker 1: the thing that you draw to you. It's what you
- 4:07Speaker 1: attract to you. That's basically the law of attraction. The
- 4:11Speaker 1: thing that you talk about, the thing that you think about,
- 4:16Speaker 1: the thing that you focus on, whatever it is that
- 4:21Speaker 1: is what you attract. The law of attraction does not
- 4:27Speaker 1: differentiate from positive and negative. It only does what it does.
- 4:34Speaker 1: What I am saying is this in the law of attraction.
- 4:40Speaker 1: No matter what you think of, no matter what occupies
- 4:44Speaker 1: your time, no matter what you say, or no matter
- 4:48Speaker 1: what the focus is, positive or negative, the law of
- 4:51Speaker 1: attraction knows neither one. It just attracts it. So let's
- 4:57Speaker 1: use some examples here. I can just the best example
- 5:01Speaker 1: always uses me. That way. I ain't got to figure
- 5:04Speaker 1: out nothing. I can just tell you my side of it.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I was in a lot of debt one time in
- 5:10Speaker 1: my life, as before any of you knew me, so
- 5:15Speaker 1: you can understand. In case you're not thinking, I don't.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I don't want you to think that this conversation is
- 5:21Speaker 1: about your income level, cause it's not. It doesn't matter
- 5:25Speaker 1: what the income level you are. The law of attraction
- 5:27Speaker 1: works in all aspects money, family, relationships, job, career, love.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It just works that way. Okay, here's the deal. I
- 5:37Speaker 1: kept saying, man, this debt is killing me. I got
- 5:41Speaker 1: to get out. That's what I thought was a good goal,
- 5:46Speaker 1: to get out of debt. But what I kept saying was,
- 5:50Speaker 1: you know, I kept talking about debt, and you know
- 5:53Speaker 1: what it kept doing. It kept attracting debt to me.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So guess what so I get out, that's all? Is
- 6:03Speaker 1: that crazy? That is an amazing law to understand. What
- 6:08Speaker 1: turned it around for me was I started claiming a
- 6:13Speaker 1: life of abundance. God, I am seeking a life of abundance.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I want to have more than enough. I want to
- 6:23Speaker 1: be able to help other people. I just want to
- 6:27Speaker 1: have a law of attraction so that I be able
- 6:29Speaker 1: to provide my family the lifestyle that I want to
- 6:32Speaker 1: provide them. I want heavily, Father, to be able to
- 6:36Speaker 1: be an example of your goodness and your grace in
- 6:40Speaker 1: my life. That is what I started saying. And guess what,
- 6:45Speaker 1: that's what I started attractive. I'm going to have a
- 6:48Speaker 1: great relationship with my children. I'm going to be the
- 6:52Speaker 1: father that I always wanted to be. I'm going to
- 6:56Speaker 1: be a good father. I'm going to be a good husband.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I am going to do the right things. I am
- 7:03Speaker 1: going to be the type of example that my sons
- 7:06Speaker 1: can look no further and go I can be like
- 7:09Speaker 1: my dad. I want to be able to be a place,
- 7:12Speaker 1: a beacon of light and hope for my daughters to
- 7:14Speaker 1: come to. That's what I started saying. That's what I
- 7:18Speaker 1: started attracting to my life. The law of attraction does
- 7:24Speaker 1: not care if you want it to be positive or negative.
- 7:28Speaker 1: The law of attraction just attracts whatever it is you
- 7:33Speaker 1: focus on, what you think about the words that come
- 7:37Speaker 1: out your mouth. You cannot overlook this principle of success
- 7:41Speaker 1: and expect to make it because of the fact that
- 7:44Speaker 1: you've never heard of the law of attraction, because of
- 7:47Speaker 1: the fact that you don't know how it really operates.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It does not make it not exist in your day.
- 7:55Speaker 1: You can start today attracting the right things to your
- 7:59Speaker 1: life by changing what you say, what you think, what
- 8:07Speaker 1: you focus on, change the focus, change the thought, change
- 8:14Speaker 1: the words that come out your mouth, and guess what
- 8:18Speaker 1: you change what you attract to yourself. You have got
- 8:22Speaker 1: to ask yourself, why is it? Man? Man, let me
- 8:26Speaker 1: tell you something. Somebody said the Bishop Jake's one time.
- 8:29Speaker 1: They said, man, everything you touch turns to gold. He said, no,
- 8:34Speaker 1: I just don't touch everything. Man, This is crazy. Come on, man,
- 8:41Speaker 1: he has a focus. He has a focus. See, he
- 8:46Speaker 1: ain't just everywhere. Bring me any idea, Let me try that. No, no, no, man,
- 8:51Speaker 1: he has a focus. He has a law of attraction
- 8:54Speaker 1: that's working where he's attracting things to his life. That
- 8:59Speaker 1: that's positive that he can't ask not to say, Bishop
- 9:02Speaker 1: James don't have problems because we talk often and man,
- 9:05Speaker 1: he have them. Oh, please understand. And he's not trying
- 9:09Speaker 1: to attract the problems. But what he will attract is
- 9:12Speaker 1: the proper solution for the problem. And ain't that all
- 9:16Speaker 1: you need? Sometimes? God did not say that it would
- 9:20Speaker 1: be easy. He just said he would be with you.
- 9:24Speaker 1: And if God is with you, who can be against you?
- 9:28Speaker 1: God will make your enemies your footstool. God is powerful man,
- 9:31Speaker 1: His word is true. He do what he say he
- 9:34Speaker 1: gonna do. Now, all we got to do is do
- 9:37Speaker 1: some of what we say. We ain't gonna do everything,
- 9:39Speaker 1: just do some of what we say. Okay, here's a deal.
- 9:42Speaker 1: God is going to do everything he say he gonna
- 9:46Speaker 1: you and I just got to do some of the
- 9:48Speaker 1: stuff we say we're gonna do because He already know
- 9:50Speaker 1: we ain't gonna do all of it. He clear on that,
- 9:53Speaker 1: He clear on that. All right, thank you you're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. It is about to begin to Steve
- 10:05Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. I have selected a song for you
- 10:09Speaker 1: this morning that I have just decided to just oh oh,
- 10:17Speaker 1: blurted out, I don't love you anymore. It's just a
- 10:25Speaker 1: simple explain it to the young people listening. Oh man,
- 10:34Speaker 1: they don't get it. You know, just old songs, man,
- 10:37Speaker 1: where you just blurt out to begin it and and
- 10:41Speaker 1: everybody know what it is. M h yeah, oh yeah, yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 1: I'm gone, gone, yeah, yeah. My daughter loves Fie. Oh
- 11:08Speaker 1: say child bye? Who woo? So search hop Fie. You
- 11:21Speaker 1: don't make him like this? An The way you walk
- 11:25Speaker 1: and talk, it really search me up to a fire alarm, child? Yes,
- 11:31Speaker 1: sit down. The way you squeet and tea knocks me
- 11:37Speaker 1: to my knees, come out smoking, baby. The way you
- 11:44Speaker 1: swear and curb it redirects my nerves and I'm so excited. Child?
- 11:50Speaker 1: Who lets me know? Ha ha gone, yeah, let us
- 12:08Speaker 1: have it. Steve Hark so old ass, hard ass singing.
- 12:14Speaker 1: That's that lounge singer that never made it because he
- 12:18Speaker 1: wasn't quite on the notes. But you couldn't tell him that. Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 1: but he had all the Hollywood singer moves. Man, I
- 12:27Speaker 1: would have had Roscoe Wallace making the pig. Colin Farrell
- 12:31Speaker 1: your favorite ro Roscoe Waller, Yeah, what's up? Hard singing?
- 12:35Speaker 1: Hay Steve, what's up crew, Ain't nothing, Junior. I'll just
- 12:39Speaker 1: be seeing you in concert doing that whole thing though.
- 12:42Speaker 1: That's what I want. I was bad. I saw Teddy laugh,
- 12:47Speaker 1: I saw how Player live. Y'all missed concerts. That was
- 12:53Speaker 1: real concerts. And the dudes actually sound just like the
- 12:57Speaker 1: record like Luther what no day of remixes, remix your
- 13:08Speaker 1: remix hits scarned time, just random scarned time, like when
- 13:16Speaker 1: he just blurts him out of nowhere. You're all bad,
- 13:18Speaker 1: bad missus? Yeah them skinned t hang on Sugarfoot. Coming
- 13:25Speaker 1: up at thirty two minutes, I just gonna say good morning,
- 13:28Speaker 1: since say nobody saying time? Coming up at thirty two
- 13:38Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, asked the CLO, the chief love
- 13:41Speaker 1: officer in the building. Right after this, you're listening to
- 13:45Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, time now for
- 13:48Speaker 1: ask the CLO. We have some good questions from Steve
- 13:52Speaker 1: Harvey FM dot com. If you have some questions for
- 13:54Speaker 1: the cello, please please please feel free to write us.
- 13:59Speaker 1: This one is from Jess in Hollywood, Florida. Steven says,
- 14:03Speaker 1: my boyfriend and I are in our mid twenties and
- 14:06Speaker 1: sometimes he is not able to perform unless he watches
- 14:10Speaker 1: poor and first last night we were being intimate and
- 14:14Speaker 1: he was really into it. Then he called me his
- 14:17Speaker 1: ex girlfriend's name. I didn't say anything because I didn't
- 14:20Speaker 1: want him to stop. It was his best performance so far.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Apparently thinking about his ex girlfriend kept him in the mood.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Do you think he secretly still wants his ex or
- 14:31Speaker 1: is this just something that happens from time to time. Well,
- 14:35Speaker 1: I got a couple of ideas here from you. You
- 14:38Speaker 1: said that he only gets excited unless he's watching pawn
- 14:42Speaker 1: in your twenties. That's dangerous. That's dangerous because I don't
- 14:47Speaker 1: even I very rarely hear that from a guy that young.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Very rarely do I hear that. So that's kind of
- 14:54Speaker 1: That's kind of odd right there, him calling and he
- 14:59Speaker 1: only gets ex cited. Now, you having your best performance
- 15:02Speaker 1: and all of a sudden he calls his ex girlfriend's name.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Now the question you need to find out is his
- 15:09Speaker 1: ex girlfriend a porn star has possibility written all over it.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Maybe she wanted them movies that getting real excited. Other
- 15:29Speaker 1: than that, I don't know how long you all have
- 15:31Speaker 1: been dating, And I don't know how long you can
- 15:34Speaker 1: continue to accept being called the other girl's name that ain't.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I don't know how long that's allowable, but I think
- 15:44Speaker 1: you should have bought it to his attention so that
- 15:47Speaker 1: he is aware of it and he can start working
- 15:50Speaker 1: on it if it's serious. But I don't think y'all's
- 15:52Speaker 1: relationship is gonna go nowhere, because if you got to
- 15:56Speaker 1: have porno to turn you on at in your twenties,
- 15:59Speaker 1: you're rest of your sex years. A shot man, damn dog,
- 16:05Speaker 1: because in my twenties I needed nothing. I just knocked
- 16:08Speaker 1: a cool air if just ready, just walking around, ready,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and the wind blow either one of these that right there, hot,
- 16:20Speaker 1: just right here, hot, don't know? I okay. This is
- 16:32Speaker 1: from its from Tony in New Jersey. I have a
- 16:36Speaker 1: problem with my lady friend. I'm a bodybuilder, and I
- 16:39Speaker 1: get a lot of women trying to holler at me
- 16:42Speaker 1: at my d in my DMS, and they send lots
- 16:45Speaker 1: of nude pictures. I'll show my lady the pis and
- 16:48Speaker 1: we laugh at them together. I found out the other
- 16:51Speaker 1: day that my lady also gets nude pictures of men
- 16:55Speaker 1: and her DMS. She clicked on a message by a mistake,
- 16:58Speaker 1: and I saw the picture of a naked man. She
- 17:00Speaker 1: has never mentioned this to me, she said she hates
- 17:04Speaker 1: the picts and she immediately deletes them. But why does
- 17:06Speaker 1: she keep it from me? Should I be concerned? Well?
- 17:10Speaker 1: You know what, dog? See hold up now, when you
- 17:12Speaker 1: showing naked pictures y'all laughing? You know, so now all
- 17:18Speaker 1: of a sudden, this ain't funny to you no more?
- 17:21Speaker 1: See dog, you got to be careful what you introduce.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I don't know what your ass is showing your girl
- 17:27Speaker 1: neked pictures of other women fault. I really don't know, man.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I'm confused about that. Normally that you're you're inviting a
- 17:36Speaker 1: hailstorm into your house when you do that, So I
- 17:38Speaker 1: don't know what that was. But then she gets me
- 17:41Speaker 1: and sending her naked pictures too, But she ain't mentioned
- 17:45Speaker 1: it to you because guess why, because she knows. Look
- 17:50Speaker 1: at you then wrote a letter. See you see a
- 17:52Speaker 1: picture you're asking wrote a letter? Y'all watching together? You
- 17:56Speaker 1: just keep king yeah, see Pardner, So she already know
- 18:00Speaker 1: it's a problem. And the bodybuilder come on, man, come
- 18:05Speaker 1: on all right, see yeah, it's it's it's it's it's
- 18:09Speaker 1: not a problem that she might be messing around. But
- 18:11Speaker 1: maybe she just didn't feel like dealing with this because
- 18:14Speaker 1: you don't wrote a letter into a national radio show.
- 18:17Speaker 1: You show her pictures. Y'all just laugh. Anonymous in Tennessee writes,
- 18:22Speaker 1: I've been married for five years and my mother lives
- 18:25Speaker 1: with us. I'm a diabetic and I've been sick a
- 18:28Speaker 1: lot lately, so my mother has assumed the role as
- 18:31Speaker 1: my full time nurse and caregiver. This drives my wife crazy.
- 18:36Speaker 1: My mother told my wife that she's been taking care
- 18:38Speaker 1: of me all my life and it's not up for debate.
- 18:41Speaker 1: My wife isn't having it, and their constant arguing stresses
- 18:45Speaker 1: me out. My wife works long hours, and my mom
- 18:48Speaker 1: is here when my wife can't be, so in a way,
- 18:51Speaker 1: my mom is right, I'm stuck in the middle. Please help, No, no, no, no,
- 18:57Speaker 1: your mom isn't right. No, she's not. Your wife is
- 19:01Speaker 1: the queen of the castle that can There's only one
- 19:04Speaker 1: queen in the castle. It might be some damsels, it
- 19:08Speaker 1: might be some some some other people at work, but
- 19:11Speaker 1: it's one queen, and your wife is being rooted out
- 19:15Speaker 1: by your mother, who's obviously taking some liberties with you
- 19:21Speaker 1: that your wife would like to be able to do
- 19:23Speaker 1: now the fact that you're sick, Brod can't do nothing
- 19:26Speaker 1: about that. Feel for you. Uh, you know, I don't
- 19:29Speaker 1: know what you're supposed to say to somebody would diabetes.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I don't know. You don't seeing cond Okay, well, you know,
- 19:38Speaker 1: I don't know what you say to people got diabetes.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I don't know what to say, not condolences or I
- 19:47Speaker 1: don't know what to say to him about the sickness.
- 19:51Speaker 1: But your mother is not. She may have been taken
- 19:55Speaker 1: care of you your whole life, but this your wife. Dog,
- 19:57Speaker 1: See you said viles to your wife. Now, if your
- 20:01Speaker 1: mother's there because you can't provide for yourself, I don't
- 20:06Speaker 1: I don't know what it is, but she lives with y'all,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and it's creating a problem. She didn't marry you to
- 20:12Speaker 1: live with your mama. Now. I don't know how sick
- 20:15Speaker 1: you are, dog, but if your mother just over there
- 20:18Speaker 1: because she won't just keep eye on you and check
- 20:20Speaker 1: on you, then you gotta change your living arrangements. Now,
- 20:23Speaker 1: if you incapacitated in some way, then your wife gonna
- 20:27Speaker 1: had to work with your mama a little bit better.
- 20:29Speaker 1: But your mama gonna had to back up and let
- 20:31Speaker 1: your wife be the queen at the castle. Your wife's
- 20:35Speaker 1: wife and dog. Now, you don't sleep with your mama,
- 20:38Speaker 1: so you're gonna mess around here that in a minute. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:46Speaker 1: we're going there and sleep with your mammy. You're gonna
- 20:48Speaker 1: fe here that all right? Coming up next and have
- 20:52Speaker 1: you in the building. Would run that brank back right
- 20:54Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, Junior is in with today's prank

- 21:43Speaker 1: be a better year. I'm gonna get involved. Man. We'll

- 25:35Speaker 1: You know what are you at the church? Did you
- 25:37Speaker 1: work at the church for a time? Part time? I'm
- 25:39Speaker 1: at the church. Okay, are you there there? No, I'm

- 29:14Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 29:18Speaker 1: the show. Well, guys, a breakup can be horrible when
- 29:24Speaker 1: you're the one getting dumped. I mean, we've all been there,
- 29:27Speaker 1: we know how it feels. But being the breaker upper
- 29:30Speaker 1: isn't always easy. That's not always easy, right knowing you Yeah,
- 29:35Speaker 1: because you're the one that's going to hurt someone else
- 29:37Speaker 1: you know that you care about. You can make second
- 29:40Speaker 1: guess yourself and wonder if you're really doing the right thing.
- 29:44Speaker 1: But ghosting isn't cool. Like texting someone to break up Okay,
- 29:49Speaker 1: So here's some some decent ways to break up. According
- 29:52Speaker 1: to Cosmopolitan magazine, we want you to be clear if
- 29:56Speaker 1: you're the breaker upper. People only end relationships when they're
- 30:00Speaker 1: partner doesn't match their outlook, their values, their needs and
- 30:03Speaker 1: desires anymore. Otherwise you're still good. Right, Well, that's a
- 30:07Speaker 1: big list, don't Shirley, outlook values. You're still good. You
- 30:12Speaker 1: don't outlook all that, the big ones. Yeah, if you don't,
- 30:16Speaker 1: if they don't match that, then you got to break
- 30:18Speaker 1: up with them. But if they do, then you're good.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Stay clear, but just be clear. Yeah, well but you
- 30:25Speaker 1: know it's you can They're saying you good. But a
- 30:31Speaker 1: person can have all the qualities and you just not like.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Oh okay, I see what you're I think that can happen.
- 30:38Speaker 1: You just don't like you, like what I like, eat
- 30:41Speaker 1: what I eat, I want to go where I want
- 30:43Speaker 1: to go. But if I don't like you about him,
- 30:48Speaker 1: why are you with them in the first place? Shirley,
- 30:50Speaker 1: You you the one came up with the adult break
- 30:53Speaker 1: off all right, fall out of love in your mind?
- 30:56Speaker 1: In your mind first? Okay, Now listen to this. It's
- 30:59Speaker 1: only going to be harder to end things if you
- 31:02Speaker 1: keep thinking about the happy times. So you got to
- 31:05Speaker 1: stop that, all right, When you're trying to build up
- 31:08Speaker 1: the strength to break up with someone, focus on the
- 31:10Speaker 1: top five negative moments of your relationship. This is all
- 31:14Speaker 1: according to Cosmo Talitan, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine. This is
- 31:22Speaker 1: this is according to them. So, yeah, what do you think.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Let's let's hear your point. I'm here to help you.
- 31:27Speaker 1: You know, I break up with you, but keep doing
- 31:30Speaker 1: it with you. You know what I mean, because you're
- 31:31Speaker 1: gonna need That's why you're going through this. You know
- 31:34Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's not healthy. That's time. No, that
- 31:38Speaker 1: ain't time. I'm helping you get through what we're going through.
- 31:43Speaker 1: That's unhealthy to No, it's not. It's unhealthy without Steve
- 31:50Speaker 1: jumping here anytime, CLO, chief Love officer. Now, so you
- 31:54Speaker 1: need you need It's two million, three men on this show.
- 31:57Speaker 1: You need to see his side. But in your what's
- 32:00Speaker 1: your thought? I'm Williams. You're with whom break you? Yeah? Yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 1: that makes sense to me? Break up, But let's keep going.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, come on, think about the shirt.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Let me say we break up on a Thursday. This
- 32:18Speaker 1: is our first Friday apart, right, we'll be supposed to do.
- 32:23Speaker 1: We've been doing it on Friday. Let's get back and
- 32:26Speaker 1: you're going this makes absolute great sense. I don't know
- 32:31Speaker 1: what the people that caughtropolitan talking about, but me and
- 32:34Speaker 1: Tommy and Steve agreed. We've been doing it on Fridays.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Why stop now, Steve, you guys think really, I don't
- 32:44Speaker 1: want you to think. If yeah, but you still coming
- 32:50Speaker 1: through I want to talk, then okay, let's just talk
- 32:55Speaker 1: about it and bed naked. Yeah, if that's where we act,
- 33:04Speaker 1: let me see if I've made a mistake. That's what
- 33:10Speaker 1: would you talking about? You? That's the question. Let's see
- 33:14Speaker 1: if I've made a mistake. No, he's saying while we're
- 33:17Speaker 1: laying down. Yeah, let's see if I've made a mistake. Right, Yeah,
- 33:22Speaker 1: So Steve, it's time for today's headlines, Ladies and gentlemen.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Miss Ann Tripp, thank you very much, and good morning everyone.
- 33:29Speaker 1: As the Biden administrations order to pull out of American
- 33:32Speaker 1: troops in Afghanistan continues, reports are that the Taliban, aided
- 33:36Speaker 1: by members of al Qaeda and other terrorist groups, has
- 33:39Speaker 1: been rapidly taking over city after city, with people now
- 33:42Speaker 1: packing into the capital city of Kabble, living in parks
- 33:45Speaker 1: and whatever they can to get away from the violence
- 33:47Speaker 1: and in some cases forced marriages. However, Pentagon spokes when
- 33:51Speaker 1: John Kirby says that the US is not forgetting its friends.
- 33:54Speaker 1: So the President sending in three infantry bullet battalions. Those
- 33:57Speaker 1: three infantry battalions will comprise approximate at least three thousand personnel,
- 34:02Speaker 1: and they will be in addition to those troops that
- 34:05Speaker 1: are already in Cobble. The other evacuees are diplomats and
- 34:10Speaker 1: others working at the American embassy, as well as interpreters
- 34:13Speaker 1: who work with the US military trying to get everybody
- 34:15Speaker 1: out whom they know the Taliban will target for assassination.
- 34:19Speaker 1: American troops, by the way, are expected to leave the
- 34:21Speaker 1: country by the end of the month. However, the State
- 34:24Speaker 1: Department says the US will continue to maintain what they're
- 34:27Speaker 1: calling a core diplomatic presence in Cobble, that's again the
- 34:30Speaker 1: capital city. One of President Biden's campaign promises has to
- 34:33Speaker 1: do with lowering prescription prices, so he says that's what
- 34:36Speaker 1: he's focused on now. I think it's safe to say
- 34:38Speaker 1: that all of us, whatever our background, our age where
- 34:42Speaker 1: we live can agree that prescription drug prices are outrageously
- 34:47Speaker 1: expensive in America. So mister Biden says he wants to
- 34:50Speaker 1: make changes to Medicare, including allowing Medicare to directly negotiate
- 34:53Speaker 1: drug prices. Now that thing has to be fit by
- 34:57Speaker 1: the Congress. That situation can only be remedied that way.
- 34:59Speaker 1: But the President as already ordered the Food and Drug
- 35:01Speaker 1: Administration to approve less expensive generic drugs faster, and he's
- 35:05Speaker 1: also asked the agency to work with states and tribes
- 35:08Speaker 1: to improve to import to a cheaper drugs from Canada.
- 35:11Speaker 1: According to the US censuspire of the results of last
- 35:13Speaker 1: year's tally show that the country has become more racially
- 35:16Speaker 1: and ethnically diverse since Its officials say that the ever
- 35:19Speaker 1: growing numbers of people living in America identify axe with
- 35:22Speaker 1: more than one racial group, with the multiracial population accounting
- 35:25Speaker 1: for most of the overall changes seen in each racial category.
- 35:29Speaker 1: So agency officials say the numbers are over four months late, though,
- 35:32Speaker 1: because of COVID nineteen and because of interference by the
- 35:34Speaker 1: Trump administration that put pressure on states by imposing early
- 35:38Speaker 1: deadlines to get them to finish up and use the
- 35:41Speaker 1: data to redraw voting districts and finally looks like your
- 35:44Speaker 1: basic eyehop has really hopping. That's because customers at eye
- 35:47Speaker 1: Hoops can now order beer, wine, champagne, and mimosas with
- 35:50Speaker 1: their pancakes at three locations in San Diego, New Mexico.
- 35:54Speaker 1: They're also unveiling a beverage member called Bubbles, Wines and
- 35:57Speaker 1: Bruise in the chains. Eateries in New York, Rhode Island,
- 35:59Speaker 1: Maryland know how to start out. So I guess it's
- 36:01Speaker 1: really happened at I hopen it's a party, y'all. Now
- 36:05Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show.
- 36:10Speaker 1: So Carlin and Steve have dogs. So the Tommy Junior
- 36:13Speaker 1: doesn't have a dog? Dog? Yeah? Um but Jay, where
- 36:18Speaker 1: where are you with this? Do you have any dogs with?
- 36:20Speaker 1: These dogs need to be at home or in the
- 36:23Speaker 1: yard and not that's just me. I know people, I
- 36:27Speaker 1: know they're emotional dogs. I can let these dogs srvous dogs.
- 36:30Speaker 1: But first of all, you work in a place, it
- 36:33Speaker 1: ends up being too many damn dogs. That's what happened
- 36:38Speaker 1: one dog. But then it's like dogs every damn well,
- 36:42Speaker 1: you know that's what happened. You know you're okay the
- 36:45Speaker 1: National Dog Day night. Now everybody got it. You got
- 36:48Speaker 1: dogs bringing dogs, so dogs every damn well. So we
- 36:56Speaker 1: need to nip this in the butt. Keep your damn
- 36:59Speaker 1: dog home. Keep your dog home. Don't bring your dog
- 37:04Speaker 1: to work. I mean I go on to you, like
- 37:05Speaker 1: you leave, I'm gonna go to the office and you're
- 37:07Speaker 1: not in there at the dog sitting in there, and
- 37:09Speaker 1: I'm like, I got I'm like, I'm coming to talk
- 37:13Speaker 1: to you. The damn dogs and then where is the dog?
- 37:17Speaker 1: Don't know where the hell. I'm just just me. I'm
- 37:21Speaker 1: gonna just you don't hate dogs. I would never tell it, doll,
- 37:27Speaker 1: I would never do that. I would never tease a dog.
- 37:30Speaker 1: It just just it's too many and damn dogs. That
- 37:37Speaker 1: is a funny visual though. You go in and talk
- 37:39Speaker 1: to your boss. I love to do. I love this
- 37:43Speaker 1: is my favorite thing to do. What I love to
- 37:46Speaker 1: go down to the where they sell dogs at a
- 37:49Speaker 1: dog scho Are you doing you want to be adopted?
- 37:57Speaker 1: They go home with me? Will guess what you ain't going?
- 38:02Speaker 1: That's your favorite thing? Hey, that scudentle's I know, I know,
- 38:14Speaker 1: I know, I guess what you ain't going Jay? How
- 38:20Speaker 1: is that right on any level? Though? I can't drag
- 38:25Speaker 1: it up over there? You're I'm gonna bring fancy Yeah,
- 38:37Speaker 1: if you could you have a dog, Jay, and walk
- 38:39Speaker 1: the dog, you know, and and all of that. You
- 38:42Speaker 1: wouldn't do that. You didn't have to take it to work,
- 38:44Speaker 1: but just take care of it. Dogs are part of
- 38:47Speaker 1: the family, Jay, not this family. All right. I guess
- 38:54Speaker 1: we know where Jay stands on dogs. All right, more
- 38:56Speaker 1: of this crazy ignorant show. Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right
- 39:00Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 39:06Speaker 1: it is time for comedy roulette. Let's go, Jay Anthony
- 39:10Speaker 1: Brown give us three subjects. Put I'm on a wheel,
- 39:13Speaker 1: spind the wheel where the wheel stopped? Because I'm a comedian,
- 39:17Speaker 1: junior comedian, times a comedian. Steve's a comedian. We can
- 39:20Speaker 1: make it funny. Watch this, do it? Do it. Here's
- 39:23Speaker 1: today's category, guys. Number one things Christians say when they
- 39:28Speaker 1: can't cuss. Okay. Number two songs you like that no
- 39:33Speaker 1: one else likes? Oh wow. Number three excuses people give
- 39:40Speaker 1: for why they don't want to go to sleep. Got it?
- 39:45Speaker 1: Like all three spun the wheel? Oh which one? No? No, no,
- 39:59Speaker 1: I thought it was the song. It is things Christians
- 40:03Speaker 1: say when they can't cuss. I started, I started, I
- 40:07Speaker 1: started right here. Uh, lay hands on him, Jesus, just
- 40:11Speaker 1: lay hands on him. Okay, that's it, that's it, all right,
- 40:19Speaker 1: I got it. I got what got started. I mean it.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I'm not playing, okay, okay, okay, all right. Uh who
- 40:33Speaker 1: the fuck do you think you talking to? Boy? You
- 40:36Speaker 1: scared me? Who's up? Who the fuck do you think
- 40:47Speaker 1: you talking to? WHOA? I got right up on it, Yeah,
- 40:52Speaker 1: I got right up on. I thought this was another
- 40:55Speaker 1: radio show, the satellite. Come on still, sit down somewhere,
- 41:03Speaker 1: you little black pastor. I like. I like this category.

- 45:00Speaker 1: nothing's happened as of right now. We've had a conversation
- 45:03Speaker 1: with him and we've checked him out. He's definitely okay.
- 45:06Speaker 1: But why why are you picking him up? Though? I
- 45:07Speaker 1: don't I don't understand what? All right, let's just just
- 45:10Speaker 1: come down hang on a second. I got a couple
- 45:12Speaker 1: of questions for you. Your husband he is about what

- 45:18Speaker 1: ways about one hundred and seventy five pounds. Is that
- 45:21Speaker 1: sound about right? But yes, okay, here's another question. Now
- 45:26Speaker 1: exactly Morgan hot tall? Are you? I'm five nine as well? Okay,
- 45:30Speaker 1: And if you don't mind, I know it's a little
- 45:33Speaker 1: different type of question, but if you don't mind, how
- 45:35Speaker 1: much do you weigh? I'm like two hundred? Wait a minute?
- 45:38Speaker 1: What is it? What is it? What is how much
- 45:40Speaker 1: our way have to do with it? I don't what
- 45:42Speaker 1: is wrong with him? And where is why? Where is
- 45:44Speaker 1: he right now? We actually have him, We have him
- 45:47Speaker 1: in our custody. Him where we have him in our
- 45:50Speaker 1: custody right now here in our headquarters at HPP. So
- 45:54Speaker 1: what heck? What is what is then? HPP? Man? HPP
- 45:58Speaker 1: is Husband Protection Program? Has been protection? I've never I've
- 46:03Speaker 1: never heard of such a thing. Why why is he
- 46:05Speaker 1: in here? Well? The problem we have and we've been
- 46:08Speaker 1: getting some actual complaints and whatnot, and not necessarily from him,
- 46:12Speaker 1: but that you've been bullying your husband. Okay, you know what.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I'm at my job and I'm gonna need to hold
- 46:17Speaker 1: on one second so I can go in here. What
- 46:25Speaker 1: what what did you say? Have you and uh Sean
- 46:28Speaker 1: had any arguments at all lately? How we had we're married.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Have we had arguments? Of course, he had arguments. What
- 46:34Speaker 1: what does that have to do with anything? Have you
- 46:36Speaker 1: guys had any altercation? Any altercation? Yes? What kind of altercations?
- 46:41Speaker 1: Have you been bullying your husband in a physical way?
- 46:45Speaker 1: How I've been bullying him? Bullying him? You've been have
- 46:49Speaker 1: you been happened to bullying him? For somebody to turn
- 46:52Speaker 1: in and give us? Who? Who you need to? Let
- 46:57Speaker 1: me talk to him. I can't put him on this
- 47:00Speaker 1: is what I'm talking about. When that is what you're
- 47:01Speaker 1: talking about. You pulled me at my job, put off
- 47:04Speaker 1: an HPP crap and somebody turning somebody in for some arguments.
- 47:08Speaker 1: We're married. Who are you freaking know who's married and
- 47:10Speaker 1: does not argue? I understand you, man, but it is
- 47:13Speaker 1: my job to protect husbands that are getting bullied by
- 47:16Speaker 1: and wise this is o're talking with your name? Let
- 47:23Speaker 1: me speak to him. I'm not at liberty and let
- 47:24Speaker 1: you speak to him right now. To you, what you're
- 47:25Speaker 1: not gonna do is bullying me as well? And why
- 47:28Speaker 1: am I trying to bully you? I want to know
- 47:29Speaker 1: what coming? Oh? And why do you call me at
- 47:31Speaker 1: my job with some crap about him being at some
- 47:33Speaker 1: headquarters for HPP. I app isn't a hum of AHPP.
- 47:36Speaker 1: And my husband is not need protecting from anybody sucking
- 47:38Speaker 1: that make it is husband protection program. You've been bullying
- 47:42Speaker 1: your husband, You've been using bad language with y'all. I'm
- 47:49Speaker 1: I want to talk to him, my husband. When he
- 47:52Speaker 1: said I do, he said, I do. Set whatever she
- 47:53Speaker 1: said to me whenever she's talking about hi Irish, he
- 47:55Speaker 1: said this, and next he gets and if he has
- 47:57Speaker 1: the problems with arguing with me, sitty to start his
- 47:59Speaker 1: cry and he won't be in an argument and you
- 48:01Speaker 1: tell him that you see, this is what we're talking about.
- 48:04Speaker 1: This is why he's been picked up today and brought
- 48:06Speaker 1: into our custody so that he would be definitely protected
- 48:08Speaker 1: from you. You know what if he gets a profession
- 48:11Speaker 1: and easing your company, ask you can keep him me
- 48:13Speaker 1: high back. Well, here's what we're gonna do. Somebody's gonna
- 48:16Speaker 1: be picking you up, bringing you in so we can
- 48:17Speaker 1: have a conversation, bringing me now there, what what do
- 48:21Speaker 1: you think this is? We're bringing you in so we
- 48:23Speaker 1: can have a conversation with you. Let me explain something
- 48:26Speaker 1: to you, ma'am. We will be bringing you in having
- 48:28Speaker 1: a conversation what you bring sh You're gonna be coming
- 48:33Speaker 1: in and you're gonna do a company where we can
- 48:36Speaker 1: any anybody wants or you physically or mentally abusing your husband.
- 48:40Speaker 1: You know what, You don't have to kick me up,
- 48:41Speaker 1: tell me where you I will come to you want
- 48:42Speaker 1: to pick me up, I will, I will come down there.
- 48:44Speaker 1: I will hear you in him at the same time
- 48:47Speaker 1: you as we're coming about, weren't I'm going to ask
- 48:50Speaker 1: you a serious question. It sounds like a consequence of
- 48:53Speaker 1: he doesn't listen to you. Conseq I mean, I mean,
- 48:55Speaker 1: what are you doing? Are you treating your husband like
- 48:58Speaker 1: a child? What are you doing to him? Actually like
- 49:00Speaker 1: the parts, don't get treated like the cat. If he
- 49:02Speaker 1: has the problem with how I see him, you talk
- 49:04Speaker 1: to him behind He asked, Let me ask you something,
- 49:06Speaker 1: miss Morgan. What do you do for a lever in
- 49:08Speaker 1: head of security at this building and about to cross
- 49:10Speaker 1: security on me because I'm loud in this room. Because
- 49:13Speaker 1: you're a head of security, so you don't know all
- 49:15Speaker 1: about putting people in choke calls and how to apprehend
- 49:18Speaker 1: the person. Don't is my job? Yes? I did? So
- 49:21Speaker 1: are you doing that at home? What I'm not gonna
- 49:24Speaker 1: tell you again. I don't harm that man in any way,
- 49:28Speaker 1: no ways, have I ever what I ever? Nor has
- 49:30Speaker 1: he need? He needs to get him behind in his
- 49:32Speaker 1: car and got to work. We have builds to things.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Don't ask high for this crap. I got one more
- 49:37Speaker 1: thing I need to say to you or you're listening,
- 49:39Speaker 1: you have nothing to say to me, But then you
- 49:40Speaker 1: want to put my husband on It's t to Let
- 49:41Speaker 1: me talk to him about this short shut, sit down,
- 49:45Speaker 1: sit down show. Get him hitting him the phone, Let
- 49:48Speaker 1: me talk. I need to understand what had shot I
- 49:51Speaker 1: got it. Let me finish the talk conversation with Okay, No,
- 49:54Speaker 1: you don't need to sinish. Let me finish on his
- 49:55Speaker 1: putting him on the phone. Hello, I have one more
- 49:59Speaker 1: thing to ask you. Are you listening? Are you listening?
- 50:02Speaker 1: Go ahead? This is nephew taught me from the Steve
- 50:06Speaker 1: Harby Morning Show. You just got breaked by your husband, Sean, Hello,
- 50:25Speaker 1: you've what are you? Where are you at right now? Man?
- 50:33Speaker 1: I was worried about the people at your job. Where
- 50:35Speaker 1: you at? I'm back here in this closet, swearing like
- 50:39Speaker 1: a freaking pig in heat dripping makeup everywhere. I cannot
- 50:46Speaker 1: believe this. Oh god man, Okay, baby, I gotta ask you,
- 50:51Speaker 1: what is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 50:54Speaker 1: show in the land, the Steve Morning Show. You too much,
- 51:06Speaker 1: you know, y'all gotta give it to me now, Okay,
- 51:14Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Don't even ask me because
- 51:17Speaker 1: I love it. You just ask and I appreciate that, Jake,
- 51:21Speaker 1: you know I need that kind of love and support.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Let me ask y'all something, though. Who is it with
- 51:25Speaker 1: it that you would Who is it that you think
- 51:27Speaker 1: I can't prank? Give me that put me to a challenge?
- 51:32Speaker 1: Who do you think I can't prank Trumpama? Obama and Trump?
- 51:38Speaker 1: Neither one? Michael Jory's wolf what I'm just challenging, Oprah,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I got challenges for you. I'm not gonna I'm not okay, okay,
- 51:50Speaker 1: I'm not. First of all, I'm not gonna prank. Mis
- 51:52Speaker 1: Open's saying you can. What is you asking us the
- 51:56Speaker 1: question for? If you don't like none of I answers.
- 52:00Speaker 1: I like Jordan, I could do Jordan, I could do Flavor,
- 52:04Speaker 1: can't Kyler Pierre? No, that's okay? Why why are you.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Why are you doing people that you know might help me?
- 52:14Speaker 1: Why are you doing that? I mean you say you
- 52:16Speaker 1: tell me who who you can't pranking? If I wanted
- 52:18Speaker 1: to name who you could prank, it'd be easy. Can't practical,
- 52:21Speaker 1: can't bet you can't prank? Will packer? Will pretty well? Yeah,
- 52:33Speaker 1: speak to quill you need all right? Thank you of you.
- 52:40Speaker 1: Coming up next, it's the Strawberry Letter for today. We'll
- 52:44Speaker 1: get into it right after this. You're listening to Steve
- 52:48Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. It is time for today's Strawberry Letter.
- 52:52Speaker 1: And if you need advice on relationships, dating, work, sex,
- 52:55Speaker 1: parenting and more, please please please submit your Strawberry letters
- 52:59Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey FM and click submit Strawberry Letter. Buckle up,
- 53:06Speaker 1: hold on tight. Here it is Strawberry Letter. Thank you nephew.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Subjects Torn between my daddy and my man. Here's Stephen Shirley.
- 53:15Speaker 1: I am a thirty two year old single mom of
- 53:18Speaker 1: a sixteen year old and I still live at home
- 53:20Speaker 1: with my eighty four year old father. I have never
- 53:24Speaker 1: moved out because I never wanted my daughter to suffer
- 53:26Speaker 1: through any hardships or go without having the things she
- 53:30Speaker 1: wants and needs. My dad takes good care of us,
- 53:33Speaker 1: so that helps me save money. Here's a problem. I've
- 53:37Speaker 1: been dating a man for four years and we have
- 53:39Speaker 1: a great relationship, but he is pressuring me to move
- 53:42Speaker 1: in with him with my daughter. Financially, I am not
- 53:46Speaker 1: ready to start splitting the expenses with him because I
- 53:49Speaker 1: have a few small bills to pay off first. My
- 53:52Speaker 1: boyfriend keeps telling me that it's not a problem because
- 53:55Speaker 1: he will take care of all the bills. I'm not
- 53:58Speaker 1: married to him, and I need to be sure or
- 54:00Speaker 1: if I can take care of myself and my daughter
- 54:02Speaker 1: if things don't work out with this man. There's also
- 54:05Speaker 1: a bigger issue that we need to work out through
- 54:08Speaker 1: before I move in with him. He has told me
- 54:12Speaker 1: that if we move in together, my dad will not
- 54:15Speaker 1: be able to come over to our place to visit.
- 54:18Speaker 1: He stated that my dad has always been rude to
- 54:20Speaker 1: him and makes him feel uncomfortable, and he will not
- 54:24Speaker 1: tolerate it in his own home. He also said my
- 54:27Speaker 1: dad will not be welcome at our family gatherings and outings.
- 54:31Speaker 1: Now my dad, now, my dad has not been the
- 54:34Speaker 1: kindest person to my boyfriend and my family, but he
- 54:37Speaker 1: is still my dad. I don't think I should be
- 54:40Speaker 1: considering moving in with my boyfriend if this is something
- 54:43Speaker 1: that we won't compromise on. It seems that he may
- 54:46Speaker 1: be a little too controlling, especially if he will be
- 54:49Speaker 1: paying all of the bills. What do you think I
- 54:51Speaker 1: should do? Stay or go? Stay? I think you should
- 54:55Speaker 1: stay with your dad or get your own place if
- 54:57Speaker 1: you can't afford it. I mean, why would you you
- 55:00Speaker 1: want to go somewhere with someone who feels this way
- 55:02Speaker 1: about your eighty four year old dad. You're not married
- 55:07Speaker 1: to this man. You didn't mention that he proposed to
- 55:09Speaker 1: you or anything. You're not engaged to him, and he
- 55:12Speaker 1: could be very much controlling. You've been with him for
- 55:16Speaker 1: four years now, you say, and he's promising that he'll
- 55:20Speaker 1: take care of your small bills, your few small bills
- 55:23Speaker 1: if you move in with him. I'm just thinking, in
- 55:26Speaker 1: four years, why why hasn't he helped you already? I mean,
- 55:30Speaker 1: that could be one of the reasons your dad doesn't
- 55:32Speaker 1: like him. I just say, you're a mother. You have
- 55:35Speaker 1: a sixteen year old daughter. You have to be an
- 55:37Speaker 1: example for her. I don't think you would once you're
- 55:40Speaker 1: your sixteen year old. I mean, your daughter you know
- 55:43Speaker 1: when she becomes of age. Of course, in a situation
- 55:45Speaker 1: like this, I don't think there's any benefit for you
- 55:48Speaker 1: right now to move in with this guy. I mean,
- 55:50Speaker 1: you're thirty two years old, so you have to move
- 55:53Speaker 1: out one day soon, hopefully and be on your own.
- 55:56Speaker 1: But you should certainly want it to be with the
- 55:59Speaker 1: right guy, with the right situation, and that would be
- 56:03Speaker 1: someone who would at least try to work it out
- 56:05Speaker 1: with your dad. I mean, not shut him out in
- 56:07Speaker 1: a vengeful way like this guy's doing. I don't think
- 56:09Speaker 1: he should turn he should be turning his back on
- 56:13Speaker 1: your dad. That is your dad, after all. I think
- 56:15Speaker 1: you should stay where you are for now. You've been
- 56:17Speaker 1: saving money, save money to move out on your own. Steve,
- 56:23Speaker 1: this is a no goal for me. You're thirty two
- 56:26Speaker 1: years old, you got sixteen year old daughter you live with,
- 56:29Speaker 1: you're eighty four year old father. This man and came along.
- 56:33Speaker 1: You've been dating for four years now. If y'all gonna
- 56:35Speaker 1: move in, why don't y'all get married? He just wants
- 56:38Speaker 1: you to move in, right, I didn't see marriage on here.
- 56:41Speaker 1: And then you stay with your father because you didn't
- 56:44Speaker 1: want your daughter to suffer your father takes mer care
- 56:46Speaker 1: you in four years. I agree with Shirley. This dude
- 56:50Speaker 1: ain't helped you in four years with the little bills.
- 56:53Speaker 1: I'm sorry, man, but if you're listening as a man,
- 56:56Speaker 1: you're talking a man. I ain't gotta help her with
- 56:57Speaker 1: help bills. Well you don't have to, But can I
- 57:01Speaker 1: tell you something technically we're supposed to. I don't know
- 57:05Speaker 1: where this got lost in the good old days, but
- 57:09Speaker 1: it's obviously lost because you all get together now and
- 57:13Speaker 1: want to keep everything separate. You join together with a
- 57:16Speaker 1: person to become one. If you don't want to become one,
- 57:19Speaker 1: quit joining with these damn people. Now, this dude don't
- 57:22Speaker 1: here wants you to pull up ranks. Then in here
- 57:24Speaker 1: he comes when it funker ass. Now, your daddy didn't
- 57:27Speaker 1: put it in all the hard work, you and your daughter. Now,
- 57:31Speaker 1: when y'all get together, your damn daddy can't come over here.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Shelly hit it on the head because let me explain
- 57:37Speaker 1: something to you. Eighty four, No, eighty four year old man.
- 57:44Speaker 1: He knows some stuff. He got a feeling about your
- 57:48Speaker 1: boyfriend first of all four years of coming through that
- 57:51Speaker 1: he don't like to do because he eighty four, and
- 57:53Speaker 1: he know how he should be active and he ain't
- 57:55Speaker 1: seeing that. So now he don't like him, and he
- 57:58Speaker 1: ain't gonna turn his daughter and his little princess over
- 58:02Speaker 1: to these dude. That's what he don't like it now,
- 58:04Speaker 1: Your boyfriend, No, he don't like him, and he feel
- 58:08Speaker 1: uncomfortable with him not liking him. Now he don't want
- 58:10Speaker 1: him over at the house because he said he made
- 58:13Speaker 1: him feel uncomfortable when he comes. You know, why make
- 58:16Speaker 1: hi feel uncomfortable because he's shady and old dudes know it,
- 58:21Speaker 1: and they ain't going to play that game with you
- 58:23Speaker 1: in the house. He said your dad would not be
- 58:25Speaker 1: welcome at our family gatherings and out it. Hey, man,
- 58:29Speaker 1: your daddy eighty four. This dude can't pull his man
- 58:33Speaker 1: who had pants up a little bit tighter for however
- 58:37Speaker 1: long your daddy got left and at least just be
- 58:39Speaker 1: cordier to the man. He might not be the greatest
- 58:42Speaker 1: to him, but to you and that girl, he'd been
- 58:47Speaker 1: y'alls everything. And if he can't honor and respect the
- 58:51Speaker 1: fact that this man then lived eighty four years and
- 58:55Speaker 1: then took care of you when obviously you had the
- 58:58Speaker 1: baby at sixteen he ain't put you out. He embraced you. Now, man,
- 59:03Speaker 1: this is not to do, and he just want to
- 59:05Speaker 1: move you in. You're scared to go. And the reason
- 59:08Speaker 1: you're scared to go because you don't feel secure with him.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Oh that's right, man, it's this strawberry letter going this move.
- 59:14Speaker 1: You know why I goes j here insecure? You know,
- 59:21Speaker 1: I've been doing this Strawberry letter for years, Michelle, and
- 59:24Speaker 1: we just been doing it. Her response, my response, and
- 59:26Speaker 1: all of a sudden I noticed all my damn response.
- 59:30Speaker 1: I gotta stop and address something. Hold on and bit
- 59:35Speaker 1: of black Bound. That part two of Steve's a response
- 59:40Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three after the hours Freshman, you're
- 59:43Speaker 1: listening show? All right, Steve, come on, Let's recap today's
- 59:48Speaker 1: strawberry letter. Thirty two year old woman got a sixteen
- 59:51Speaker 1: year old baby, been living at home with an eighty
- 59:53Speaker 1: four year old father because she didn't want to move out,
- 59:55Speaker 1: because she want her daughter to suffer her dad take
- 59:57Speaker 1: good care of him problems she got. She'd been ain't
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: this man for four years. She say, they got a
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: great relationship, but he's pressuring me to move in with
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: him with my daughter. Now the ladies say she ain't
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: ready to do that financially because she ain't ready to
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: start splitting expenses with him, because she got a few
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: small bills to pay off. And my boyfriend keep telling her,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Dad ain't no problem. See what's gonna make it the
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: difference for you? Now, you could have been helping this
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: girl with her financial problem, but you didn't. Now you're
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: gonna come move in and I'm gonna help you. He
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: hadn't told you that he don't want that you're eighty
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: four year old daddy to come nowhere near his house.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: He ain't welcome because he made him feel uncomfortable. You
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: know why, they're eighty four year old man making feel
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: uncomfortable because eighty four, no, And he hadn't read this dude,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: and he don't like the way head. He ain't got
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: enough sense to honor the fact that this is your
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: eighty four year old daddy. And how much ever longer
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: he got, at least let y'all have y'all time together.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: But that don't suit what he wants. So his standing, trifling,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: non compromising self cinner, he won't all and go his way. Well,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: that's not how it works. You even said your dad
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: ain't been the kindest person to your boyfriend because your daddy. No, Now,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: I don't think I should be considering moving in with
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: my boyfriend and this is something he won't compromise all
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you shouldn't. So now you can't have relationship with your
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: daddy who has always had his arms open to you
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: and your daughter to have relationship. And this dude wants
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: you to sever that relationship. Who wants that to happen? Man?
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: What decent man? So you gotta ask yourself a couple
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: questions about your boyfriend. Why won't he do anything to
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: make me happy? You've been dating for for you? Why
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: don't he marry you? Why don't he help you with
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: your bills? Now? What is it about him that your
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: daddy know that he don't like about it? Now? Why
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: is it he don't want your daddy over to the
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: house no more? And don't want your daddy coming to
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: no family gatherings? This is eighty four year old man
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: that's been holding the family down his entire adult male life.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Now here, this dude, come, this is not a good
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: relationship to get into. If I were you, I would
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: say no. And if he can't at least treat your
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: father DC. Even if your father is a little rude,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: he old, So it's okay. Yeah, yeah, i'mna tell you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: right now, you're lucky. Wasn't my daddy slick Harving. Let
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: me explain something to you. My father man, he didn't
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: something about see old dupers at their house. They don't play,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: They don't change nothing at their house. Tommy, your daddy
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: was the same way. This is his house. My daddy
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: was the same way. This his house. Come in here
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: fixing nothing for you. If he don't like you, you're
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: gonna find out about it if you come in his house.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I had a friend of mine that my daddy didn't like.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: He couldn't come past the kitchen. What do you mean,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Jeffrey Overhill, jeff stay that by that dough. Jeffrey couldn't
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: make it in. No, Jeffrey could not come in my
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: house because you know we're a little small house. You
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: come through the back door. When you open the door
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: to refrigerator, you could touch refrigerator when you open the
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: door to the left and behind it. I mean you
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: could touch the stove to the left, and refrigerator was
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: behind the dough. When Jeffrey come in he come in
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the kitchen, he could shut the door, couldn't bring his
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: ass out that kitchen because he ain't like Jeffrey. He's
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: still oh yes, my dad had or somebody like that.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: He ain't like one of my pockets. He always get
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: my pocket to two spoon and say, click these spoons together,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: my pet. And you know, my friend be like, what, mister,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: what I'm doing this on? I didn't know where you
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: had my damn hole. Keeps the spoon click, keep them
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: keep clicking them damn spoon right there, bet night, I
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: better hear them spoon, they're time. I'm walking here. Old
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: school is just funny, isn't it. Jeffrey Gil stayed by
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: the damn dog. I'm talking about maybe if four friends
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: come over, Jeffrey come in and he knew, you know,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: my friend laughed at eight. Gil stayed there, stay there,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: mister Harvey. I'm right here. Hey, mister Harvey, how miss Harvey,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: you stay your ad by that dude. Now we're being
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: there for ten minutes. They'd be waiting on me anything.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: He could not come past that dope, man, don't walk
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: past it. Fitderd. That was this mark like Jeffrey's parents
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: did they know his parents. Nah, Jeffrey Jeffrey lived one
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: hundred and fourteen. My dad ain't talking nobody over over there.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: You know, we don't go far. Hey man, my daddy
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: was clear. We won twelve street people, we want twelve streets.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: We don't go over there one fourteen. I don't know
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: what they're doing around. Ride your bike over there. You
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: can go over there. But there ain't me, nobody, Mama,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: dad over there. I don't know them. People don't know
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: what they're doing over there. That's funny. It's the truth.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: They had us. We don't go around now. We're one
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: hundred twelfth street. People were on the twelve street people.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: I know there. I know how they keep their yard.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I know how the garbage can look. I know when
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: they put the trash out on the curve. I know
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: these people. Yeah, I don't like where the garbage can't
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: look over there, all being at all up and there.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: The hell of a reason not to like the families
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: the way your damn garbage can't they got dance on.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: They can't. They ain't got no ain't got no lead
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: where they live. All right, listen, guys, we you can email,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: tell us or instagram us your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: We gotta get out of you. Go to Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Morning Show. All right, Sometimes
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: we all find ourselves in a conversation, okay, be a political, scientific, educational, financial,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: even hip hop pop culture based conversations where we just
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: have no clue, I mean clue less to what the
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: person is talking about. Okay, So so guy sure to
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: do with sports? Busted? So do you guys chime in
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: and ask people to to get you up to speed
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: or do you just not in agreement like you know,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: you know, like I actually get into conversation. I wanted
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: to start with you st Yes, I get into coation
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: like bringing up a subject or you know, I ain't
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: got nothing now, I don't know nothing about it. Engineering
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: making a bridge, oh man. You know, me and my
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: father man used to work construction. You know, I used
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: to work on bridge. We had the cracks in the bridge,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: so I knew all about the structural design over bridge,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: what called the fractor spaces in it. I just didn't
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: left that. Yeah, did you or your father go to
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: engineering school, I mean engineering and bridge a construction company
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: or oh no, no, no, no, Now we work for
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: this Frank Buddy, Frank Buddy contract. Have you ever driven
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: over in bridge? Yeah, I've been a lot of free
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: That's how we knew how they cracked. You know, structural
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: engineering position is what we would take hold was the
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: uprooted problem that diverted the situation into a cracking. First,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: he sounds good. I can't know what he's talking about.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: There was like a board game, like the go ahead,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: go an call. I was gonna ask him though, surely, so,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: how would you what would you recommend to update a bridge? Well,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: I think update is very bridge. Golden Bride Bridge has
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: been needing updates and repairing. You have been several earthquakes
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: as we reaking the foundation. But I think what we're
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: gonna have to do is we're gonna have to do
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: a section at a time. I think we're gonna to
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: break that bridge in half. So we had just one
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: way traffic on one way, and then once you get
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: the one one lane blocked off and then you can
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: do the restructure work on the other side, and then
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: you reinforce it up under with welding beings and that
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: are joining back together. That way, they'll fix that whole thing.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: You mentioned earthquakes. Um, I was wondering. You know, we're
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: out here in La. What you know that a lot
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: of seismatologists have been on the news lately saying there's
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: a possibility that there could be an earthquake coming up soon?
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: You agree with that? Four point seven? A four point seven?
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: What are you basing that on? Yeah, because lads was
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: four point six you predict? Are you a seismatologist? Find
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: any chance? So you have? You know anybody that is? No,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: I'm a quaker, Holly, Yeah, so far, so good. Yeah,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: guys are here. They're gonna break down. You know you've
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: had good sex when dot dot dot, I'm gonna do
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: a couple and then I know the guy's gonna jump in.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I know the time a lot of people have been
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: getting used to one another, and I just don't like
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: time it rested. Damn them so that they've been thrown
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: down some good love it. You know you have had
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: some good sex when you wake up with one soft
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: phone like, damn, what the hell happened? Where's my son?
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: There's another one. You know you've had some good ass
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: loving when both of y'all wake up between the two mattresses, like, yeah,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: the mattresses on top. I got two more, I got
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: two mores, the one you know, just for the men,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: just for the men. You have had some good a
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: loving when you wake up you look in the mirror
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: and you got on her eyelash like, damn, this was
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: good boy good. Yeah, I got woman. I got woman.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: You're right. You know you have had some good loving,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: good ass love when you wake up and both of
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: y'all is at the bottom of the bed, like, how
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: the hell what is it? I know you got one.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Anybody got one, job and bring it, bring it, bringing
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: you good. You know you had some good loving when
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: you knocked all her medical medication off the Nightstan, it's
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: all the pills is everywhere. We don't know which one
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: to take. I love it. I love it when you
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: got you know, you know when you have some good
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: loving and you just look at her and sake your mama,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: what what generational love? It bing? You know you know
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: you didn't have some good loving when you wake up
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: the next morning and call into work and you your
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: job ain't been open, sister thirteen. I ain't gonna make
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: it a day, all right. You know, no, you have
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: had some good loving when you wake up and there's
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: a hot blue gun in your hand and it's still on,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: like what day hell. You know you had some good
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: sex when you kick over a candle in the middle
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: of sex and y'all turn into firefighter. Alright, alright, alright.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: You know you had some good love it when you
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: in the middle love it and look Hoo in the
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: eyes and say, you know what, I'm gonna buy you
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: some money. I God, I'm gonna buy you some money.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I ain't me. You know you didn't have some good
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: loving when both of y'all jump up and start washing
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: your hands and it ain't got nothing to do with corona.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I got one more. I got one more, and then
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you close that one more. You know you have had
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: some good loving when you wake up and there's a
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: happy face on your ass. You load it up, Steve,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: loaded out, man. We know you didn't have some good
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: loving when the family is down there having breakfast doing
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: quarantine and you and your wife looking at the kids
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: and go, what y'all looking at us for? We're looking
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: at off grown folks. All right, coming up next over
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: here that the dope right after this you're listening to show.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: You know what, Carla, I'm so happy that Jennifer Hudson
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: was our special guest. I just love her and she's
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: getting her just due now because she was our special
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: guest yesterday, as I mentioned, But she's getting her just
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: due starring in the Respect movie, you know, singing her
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: heart out, bringing to life. Yeah, I put some respect
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: on the movie. Her name, the queen of soul everything.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: I'm so excited to see this movie. I know you are. Girl.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: Can't wait. I can't wait till we get off work.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: I Am got it going to see Respect. I'm just
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: so excited. You know we, like you said yesterday, Jennifer
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Hudson was our special guest. We had girl talk. Yes,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: it's fun. Yeah, we had girl talk respect, but with
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Jennifer Hudson, yes, today and um, it was just awesome
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: for her to tell us what we can expect from
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: the movie. We've talked to her about, you know, the
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: young generation, schooling them on what they can get out
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: of the movie, the history and the knowledge, because you
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: know what, with these young kids, they're on TikTok all
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: the time, and they hear these older songs. Like my daughter,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: she'll tell me about a song and my husband and
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: I'll be like, you're in a song is old? Now
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: we try to school though. So that's just one angle
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: that she talked about. So again, ye, who's in the
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: movie Marlon Wayans, Mary J. Blige. Forrest Whittaker plays her father,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Reverend Field Marylin Marlon Wayans taking a dramatic turn in
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: this movie. So Respect is out today. Make sure you
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: go check it out and give show Jennifer Hudson and
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: the Queen of Souls some love. We'll be back with
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Sod and Steve have dogs. So
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: the stamm doesn't have a dog dog? Na um, but Jay,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: where where are you with this? With these dogs need
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: to be at home or any yard and not that's
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: just me. I know people, I know they're emotional dogs.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: I can let these dogs nervous dogs. But first of all,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: you work in a place it ends up being too
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: many damn dogs. That's what happened one dog. But then
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: it's like dogs every damn well, you know that's what happened.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: You know, you're okay. The National Dog Day night. Now
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: everybody got it. You got dogs bringing dogs, so dogs
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: every damn wet. So we need to nip this in
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: the butt. Keep your damn dog home. Keep your dog home.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Don't bring your dog to work. I mean I go
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: on to you, like you leave, I'm gonna go to
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: the office and you're not in there. The dogs sitting
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: in there, and I like, I'm coming to talk to
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: you the damn dog and then where is the dog?
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Don't know where the head. I'm just it's just me.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I'm just I don't hate dogs. I would never I
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: can't tell doll I would. I would never do that.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't never tease a dog. It just just talk.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: It's too many and damn dogs. That is a funny
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: visual though. You go in and talk to your boss.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I love to do. I love this is my favorite
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: thing to do. What I love to go down to
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: the where to sell dogs? At are you doing? You

- 1:18:24Speaker 1: if you could you have a dog, Jay and walk
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: the dog, you know, and feed it and all of that,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: you wouldn't do that. You didn't have to take it
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: to work, but just take care of it. Dogs are
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: part of the family, Jay, Yeah, not just family, all right.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I guess we know where Jay stands on dogs. All right.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Hang on, we're coming up the last break of the
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: day and some closing remarks from Steve Harvey that's coming

- 1:19:04Speaker 1: some of the things I've had to learn on my journey.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: And I'm not claiming to know more than anybody else.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: I'm just talking to people from a standpoint of just
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: trying to be an encouraging person from my own standpoint,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: my own viewpoint. You don't have to agree with anything
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: I say. You have to write to your own opinion,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: your own line of thinking. So this is not a
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: forced thing. This is just, you know, words of encouragement
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: at the end of the show. So when you start
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: in your day and you're thinking about your road to
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: success and happiness. I've had a lot of challenges along
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: the way that I've had to learn how to overcome,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: and I've had to find different methods and learn from
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: more successful people than myself how to get it done.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: One of the major things that I learned, and this
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: is very difficult for me to do because of the
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: most useless emotion in the human spirit, which is guilt.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: Guilt serves no one, but because of guilt, I found
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: it hard to implement this that I'm about to share
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: with you. You've heard the old saying birds of a
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: feather flock together. You've heard association brings on participation. What
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: that simply means is, if you have a goal in mind,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: an aspiration somewhere you're trying to get to, to get
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: there better, quicker, faster, more peacefully, you have to surround
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: yourself with like minded people. Now, this is hard to do,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: and I'm going to tell you why it's hard to do.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: For me because I was held to a certain amount
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: of accountability by people who just didn't want to see
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: me leave them. So as I began to change my life,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: change my direction, leave Cleveland, move up, try to come up,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: do more, try to become more. Try not to be
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: the person that I used to be. They have words
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: to hold you to them, like, man, you gotta keep
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: it real. Man, hey, man, don't forget where you come from. Now.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: Not forgetting where you come from is important, but they're
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: saying it from the fact of what they really mean
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: is keep it real. Don't forget where you come from.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: A lot of those people simply mean, don't leave us.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: And it's not your obligation to take everybody with you.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: You've got to understand that. Don't get hell to the
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: emotion of guilt and keep associating with people who don't
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: mean you well. Now, look that goes to something my
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: father told me a long time ago. He says, son,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: everybody come what you can't go with you. Some people
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: are in your life for certain periods of time, and
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: that's just it. You have to move on from them.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: Some of your friends you just grew apart from some
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: of your associates you just can't keep associating with them
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: all the time. Some of your people, you can meet
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: him at the gym and play ball, but you can't
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: do nothing else with them. That's okay. Stop thinking that
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: because a person labels you their friend, that you now
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: owe them a ride. You don't stop thinking like, I
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: hurt myself so many years hanging on to people suffering
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: from guilty. What's gonna happen today? Family? What's gonna happen today?
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: Ability to get another job? And I've had people used
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: me for years and for years and for years. I've
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: finally gotten to the point where I'm done with it.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: I finally gotten to the point I started learning it
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: a while back. But at sixty one, I'm telling you,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: I'm so through with that. I'm so through with feeling
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: obligated to people who ain't really obligated to me. And
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: don't y'all all have them people in your circle right now? Oh,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: you so obligated to them, but are they really obligated
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: to you? You always looking out for their best interests,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: but do they ever look out for your best interests?
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Association brings on participation. If you hang with a bunch
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: of people that cuss all the time. Eventually you're gonna
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: be cussing. If you hang with a lot of people
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: who do drugs all the time, every time they get
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: together and you just gotta be with them, eventually you're
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: gonna be into drugs. It's just a part of it.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Association brings on participation. If you're somewhere and people playing
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: ping pong every day, you don't think you're gonna pick
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: up the powder one day, at least give it a shot.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: It's how this works, man. So you owe it to
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: yourself to prune the treat. You owe it to yourself
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: to take inventory. You owe it to yourself to surround
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: yourself with like minded people, to find people who are
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: going the same direction you're going, who want the same
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: same things you want. It's nothing wrong with that. And
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: I'll tell you something else too. It'll shown make your
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: life a little bit smoother. Now, that's not gonna make
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: it easier, but it will make it smoother. Wouldn't it
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: be good to have somebody to talk to that wasn't
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: always telling you why it won't work? Y'all can't stand
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: to have an idea and take it to somebody in
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: the first word, out their mouth is why it won't work.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: So then when they come up with how it will work,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: all of a sudden, now it's they idea. Man, how
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: many times I've been around people like that. Birds of
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: a feather flock together. If you hang with people who
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: don't do nothing, eventually you're gonna think it's okay not
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: to do nothing too. Take inventory, prune the tree, separate yourself,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: and remember it ain't your job to give nobody a
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: free ride. It is not your job. They will slow
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: your progress down. All right, Those are my clothes remarks.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Y'all keep that one today, all right, all right, now,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: I have a great weekend, everybody, all right? For all
