- 1:22Speaker 1: I can't uh. And then and then the person who
- 1:25Speaker 1: was the other person who had the ticket. You know
- 1:27Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I'm not that big yet where I
- 1:29Speaker 1: could just bring a crew. Well, you know, every since

- 1:34Speaker 1: act real fund real funny act. That's what you do.
- 1:37Speaker 1: That's called popularity. Popularity popularity makes you act real funny.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But you're funny. And you know the thing is, you
- 1:43Speaker 1: told me he was always gonna look out for me.

- 2:10Speaker 1: talking about changing their lives while I was checking out
- 2:12Speaker 1: in the in the express line at Kroger's. I'm out
- 2:16Speaker 1: there doing things. I don't know what you're doing, but

- 2:29Speaker 1: money making conversation. Help you go viral more? Okay, thank
- 2:33Speaker 1: you very much. Let me show it that. Sean McDonald,
- 2:37Speaker 1: good morning. How you know? And I'm so happy to best.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You've been so busy. You've been spending a lot of
- 2:44Speaker 1: time at my hometown, used to Texas. Let's start out
- 2:46Speaker 1: with this, muvie. Let's talk about this movie that you're
- 2:48Speaker 1: doing and you acting, because I didn't know you could act,
- 2:52Speaker 1: Shade really, you know, you know I didn't know. You know,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I didn't know. You know now what I've seen your reser,
- 3:00Speaker 1: yes you have? Did I see any acting credits on
- 3:02Speaker 1: your resume. Well, yes, I've done some things, but this
- 3:04Speaker 1: is probably one of the biggest movies that I've done
- 3:06Speaker 1: thus far. I am super excited about this opportunity. Greg Harter,
- 3:10Speaker 1: which is yes, director director um from Houston, Texas. So
- 3:16Speaker 1: it's you know, it's a great thing to be working
- 3:18Speaker 1: with people where I started. I started my comedy um
- 3:21Speaker 1: career in Houston. So for then to reach back and
- 3:24Speaker 1: get your girl, it says a lot. Well, I reached
- 3:26Speaker 1: back because you got talent popularity, so that's the key.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But you didn't even audition for it. Wait a minute,
- 3:34Speaker 1: the people knew I was already qualified, but I did
- 3:36Speaker 1: you know? He had apart from me in mine? So
- 3:40Speaker 1: you know, yes, he had already seen my work. Okay, Okay,
- 3:44Speaker 1: so so ward as an actress. Okay, So you have
- 3:47Speaker 1: so many people listening to the show who don't get
- 3:51Speaker 1: apart already written for them. Yes, audition. Have you been
- 3:54Speaker 1: through the audition process? How has that been for you?
- 3:58Speaker 1: And what makes you keep forward when you receive rejection.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Funny that you even ask me that, because I did
- 4:04Speaker 1: audition for the Netflix movie that I have coming out
- 4:06Speaker 1: in two nineteen with Marlon Wayne, I'm so pretty with Patty. Listen.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Here's the thing, Uh, it was a great it's it's
- 4:14Speaker 1: an overwhelming experience because you're not really sure what the
- 4:17Speaker 1: director or the casting agent is looking for. So what
- 4:20Speaker 1: happens is you're just literally shooting in the dark. But
- 4:23Speaker 1: the only thing you can do is be your best
- 4:24Speaker 1: for you. If you're your best to you, you try
- 4:26Speaker 1: to embody all of the characters when they're not gonna
- 4:30Speaker 1: give you a whole lot. So they give you the
- 4:32Speaker 1: breakdown of the character, they give you the breakdown of
- 4:34Speaker 1: the scene, and and may not even give you that much.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And but you go in and you try to make
- 4:39Speaker 1: it as um you as well, not as you, but
- 4:42Speaker 1: as much as the character as possible. So the idea is,
- 4:45Speaker 1: if you if they're looking for a thirty year old
- 4:47Speaker 1: ghetto mama of seven or whatever, you have to figure
- 4:52Speaker 1: out what that looks like and then you have to
- 4:54Speaker 1: sell that presence take you out of it as much
- 4:55Speaker 1: as possible. Cool. So the movie that you did give
- 4:59Speaker 1: us a we're lying on that movie and my character
- 5:02Speaker 1: is named Tiffany. Tiffany is a loud, educated um, slightly
- 5:07Speaker 1: inappropriate most of the time. Character she's also an attorney.
- 5:11Speaker 1: So but she she dressed very, very, very polished, but
- 5:14Speaker 1: she is hood m. So we're that's the comedy part.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And I am the friend to the main character who
- 5:23Speaker 1: had a one night stand with her daughter's fiance when
- 5:26Speaker 1: she later finds out is her daughter's fiance. No one
- 5:29Speaker 1: knew this until the daughter. Okay, I'm gonna repeat it.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So my friend in the movie had a one night
- 5:40Speaker 1: stand with her daughter's fiance, but we never we didn't
- 5:43Speaker 1: know who the fiance was because we never met the
- 5:45Speaker 1: fiance until thanks again, and so I'm sorry Christmas. So
- 5:48Speaker 1: when the daughter brings the fiance home, we're like, that's
- 5:53Speaker 1: the boy, and he's young and attractive, and we're all
- 5:57Speaker 1: eye and him and core is honey, it was one
- 5:59Speaker 1: night stand. In my main try to ruin that she
- 6:00Speaker 1: don't want that boy. She just wanted that one night right.
- 6:02Speaker 1: So that's so that the controversy is that she had
- 6:05Speaker 1: a one night stay words her daughter's fiance cheated on
- 6:09Speaker 1: that no no one knew because they met afterwards. Yes,
- 6:15Speaker 1: they met afterwards. The uncle. Don't make this look complicated.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He made you. You get it right. Here's what happened
- 6:23Speaker 1: the daughter met a man that was now she's engaged
- 6:27Speaker 1: to she's been dating. But the mother met a man
- 6:31Speaker 1: prior to the getting in gage. They met at the airport,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I believe, and they hooked airport. It was actually I'm
- 6:37Speaker 1: sorry at the at the I'm sorry sorry. They met
- 6:40Speaker 1: at the hotel. Anyway, he was coming out the pool glistening,
- 6:43Speaker 1: and then she said, you're sexy and trying to see
- 6:55Speaker 1: that's my look, my best. Let me tell you something
- 6:58Speaker 1: about that listening. First of all, when you get to
- 7:01Speaker 1: a certain names, you don't glitten. Okay, at the four
- 7:04Speaker 1: at five there's no glitz. And then now you're just shining. Greez,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I'm shining now, I get what I'm shotting. I'm about
- 7:11Speaker 1: that come out that shot. I'll be shoting my best
- 7:15Speaker 1: when I come. I like that. I know it's because
- 7:18Speaker 1: I'm feel I see money on you. Thank you very much.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Can I ask you for some money? Now? Let's let's
- 7:24Speaker 1: get this movie now? What is there? You set date
- 7:27Speaker 1: for the movie One Crazy Christmas? Yes, movie b E
- 7:30Speaker 1: T Hurt. It comes out this Saturday at nine pm
- 7:34Speaker 1: Eastern Standard time. Yes, And I'm actually having a viewing
- 7:37Speaker 1: party that you're not gonna are you gonna be here
- 7:39Speaker 1: in Atlanta? Yes, well I'll see you to details. Where's
- 7:42Speaker 1: the viewing party is? On social media? We will, we will.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's actually a private engagement because I don't want to
- 7:48Speaker 1: be people to show up, so we're only inviting fifties.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Actually send you five of my closest friends and family
- 7:54Speaker 1: come for that. So what you're gonna do with that?
- 7:56Speaker 1: I can't tell the people on the radio. Everybody's gonna
- 7:58Speaker 1: show up. Well, you know that's called it's called social media.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You know you're over your live and streaming. So this
- 8:04Speaker 1: Saturday on bt her, Yes, nine pm. So you're gonna
- 8:07Speaker 1: give me a banner promoting I am, shouldn't they? Okay,
- 8:11Speaker 1: thumbs up. We're gonna get there out there and promote
- 8:13Speaker 1: this to get these numbers up here, get these numbers up. Yes,
- 8:16Speaker 1: and then we also gonna live stream the after part. Yes,
- 8:20Speaker 1: we're gonna do a post conversation. What's you know about
- 8:22Speaker 1: the after part? I know that all that stuff. You know, girl,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I've been doing party for you born, so you know
- 8:27Speaker 1: that that I do know. And shine, thank you very much.
- 8:35Speaker 1: We're gonna be back with more. Her mom is gonna
- 8:37Speaker 1: join us, and we're gonna talk about the new business
- 8:40Speaker 1: that you'd open up in Marietta, Georgia. And I'm very
- 8:43Speaker 1: excited about that because money making conversation, that's what we do.
- 8:45Speaker 1: We expose new businesses to the people. I'm back. It's
- 8:54Speaker 1: kinda dancing, um, your entrepreneur. Now he's always being First
- 9:00Speaker 1: of all, let me just talk a quick A couple
- 9:02Speaker 1: of things. You got a book coming out in December, right,
- 9:04Speaker 1: so I gotta come bring you back for a decent book.
- 9:06Speaker 1: The fourth for parents or money making conversation. Now, I
- 9:09Speaker 1: didn't watch you out because I'm gonna come in. Said, look, uncle,
- 9:12Speaker 1: you're gone for the week, and I can stand in
- 9:14Speaker 1: for you. Yes you can. Here's a deal. Here's your deal. Now,
- 9:19Speaker 1: your mom's on the phone. She is she was supposed
- 9:22Speaker 1: to come in studio. Listen, mama is busy. So the
- 9:26Speaker 1: thing is she had to go open the store business.
- 9:29Speaker 1: There's a cell phone repair franchise store on a busy
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yes it is. And here's the thing. Now, I know
- 9:34Speaker 1: everyone has broken their phone and have been traumatized. I
- 9:37Speaker 1: will tell you a story. My mother broke my phone.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Um one year. Literally, I cannot get screening for three days.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I could not speak to my mother for two days.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I was so distraught. Remember when you broke my phone.
- 9:49Speaker 1: My you can hear me. I can hear you fine,
- 9:53Speaker 1: and tell the people when you broke my phone how
- 9:54Speaker 1: distraught I was. You were distraught. It just flew out
- 9:58Speaker 1: of my hands and I don't know swear that phone
- 10:04Speaker 1: flew out like she dropped here man. I kept telling her, momy,
- 10:07Speaker 1: don't touch my phone. Don't don't touch my phone because
- 10:10Speaker 1: I don't have a case. And it shattered my screen.
- 10:13Speaker 1: And it was one thing that it shattered my screen,
- 10:15Speaker 1: and it's the other thing, is it shattered. And sometimes
- 10:18Speaker 1: you can still use your phone when it's broken. But
- 10:20Speaker 1: do you guys know my phone would not work. My
- 10:23Speaker 1: calls were coming in and I was getting all these
- 10:25Speaker 1: important calls because not answer. I couldn't touch my screen.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So we have been going through programs trying to figure
- 10:31Speaker 1: out how we what we wanted to do. We knew
- 10:33Speaker 1: that we wanted to get into a business. We knew
- 10:34Speaker 1: that we wanted to invest our we're in really stay also,
- 10:38Speaker 1: so we were going through different classes, different entrepreneur programs
- 10:41Speaker 1: and everything, and then we had a lot of different
- 10:42Speaker 1: programs and different business ideas that came to us until
- 10:45Speaker 1: we met the CPR people and we and I'm telling you,
- 10:50Speaker 1: the CPR program was amazing. Um. It gave us an
- 10:53Speaker 1: opportunity to because we all have technical, technical backgrounds, so
- 10:56Speaker 1: it wasn't something that was so far fetched. My mother
- 10:58Speaker 1: is a programmer by trade, and I worked for Samsung
- 11:01Speaker 1: telcom um in the past, so it was it was
- 11:03Speaker 1: easy fit. And so how did you find out about
- 11:06Speaker 1: this franchise? CPR? Mom? You want to answer that question,
- 11:08Speaker 1: how did you find out about CPR franchise? We I
- 11:12Speaker 1: was working with the coach her name is Susan, her
- 11:15Speaker 1: last Susan Scott, with the entrepreneurs Source Sources. And it
- 11:20Speaker 1: was right after I had back surgery and I was
- 11:23Speaker 1: trying to figure out what I could do with my
- 11:24Speaker 1: life for me and my children. So we would talk
- 11:28Speaker 1: every day, me and my kids, Jana and my son Eric.
- 11:31Speaker 1: They're grown, but I'm still calling my kids. And we
- 11:35Speaker 1: just was trying to figure out what we can do
- 11:38Speaker 1: for us, How to you know, take money that we
- 11:42Speaker 1: had and grow it and invested in something. You know,
- 11:45Speaker 1: a lot of people, especially black people, you know, when
- 11:48Speaker 1: they open it up a business they might, you know,
- 11:50Speaker 1: especially now that the people were getting into hair or
- 11:53Speaker 1: clothing lines or something of that. We were looking for
- 11:57Speaker 1: something that everybody needed. And we don't only repair cell phones.
- 12:05Speaker 1: We repair most all electronics, stroid, We replace anything, computers,
- 12:14Speaker 1: game systems, anything that has been screen. Okay, so okay,
- 12:19Speaker 1: that means that you guys are the front. Yes, how
- 12:21Speaker 1: many tech people do you have? We have to tech
- 12:24Speaker 1: people in the back right now. I'm the marketing person.
- 12:27Speaker 1: My mother is the i will say, the numbers person.
- 12:30Speaker 1: My brother he serves as our kind of regional manager.
- 12:33Speaker 1: This is our first store. Our second store be open
- 12:35Speaker 1: in spring twenty nineteen, and theloof that would be our
- 12:38Speaker 1: flagship store. It's pretty aggressive, it is, really so. So
- 12:42Speaker 1: what makes you feel comfortable about opening one store and
- 12:46Speaker 1: then opening another store? So I'll tell you the answer
- 12:49Speaker 1: to that. First of all, Um, I broke my screen
- 12:52Speaker 1: three times this year and it was two hundred and
- 12:54Speaker 1: fifty dollars a pop. My co host when I was
- 12:56Speaker 1: on Sister Circle, she broke her phone four times this
- 12:58Speaker 1: year and we both have Sam some joys. That was
- 13:00Speaker 1: two hundred fifty dollars a pop. That was two hundred
- 13:03Speaker 1: and fifty times four. So I'm thinking to myself, if
- 13:06Speaker 1: within my little small social circle, I've known someone who's
- 13:09Speaker 1: had to spend two hundred and fifty dollars five, you know,
- 13:11Speaker 1: seven times. So if I broughten that, how many other
- 13:15Speaker 1: people are replacing their phones? And then when you're out
- 13:17Speaker 1: of your warranty, where can you go to replace your screen?
- 13:20Speaker 1: Sometimes there's no place to go but to a store
- 13:23Speaker 1: like mine. So we looked at it. We saw that
- 13:25Speaker 1: it was it was this actually was an opportunity that
- 13:27Speaker 1: was given to us. The Marryatta store, our original store
- 13:30Speaker 1: was going to be our flagship store and Dulouf this
- 13:32Speaker 1: was a blessing by the headquarters. The was like, hey,
- 13:34Speaker 1: we have the store taken so we had we took
- 13:36Speaker 1: this store over and our second store will be originally
- 13:39Speaker 1: our first store, but it will be our great store.
- 13:41Speaker 1: You've you've taken over a previous business. Yes, how do
- 13:44Speaker 1: you make that decision to take over a previion business?
- 13:46Speaker 1: You look at the books or lead you in the
- 13:49Speaker 1: director that Okay, this is a business. I can take
- 13:52Speaker 1: it to the next the next level. How do you
- 13:53Speaker 1: make that decision? Mommy want to address that, Well, it
- 13:57Speaker 1: wasn't an easy decision because, um, the guy that we lost,
- 14:08Speaker 1: the guy that previously owned it, What did you say, mom?
- 14:11Speaker 1: He was an absentee owner, so he lived in Louisiana,
- 14:16Speaker 1: so it was really hard for him, so he wanted
- 14:18Speaker 1: to get rid of it. Um, the store already had
- 14:21Speaker 1: a tech that knew what he was doing, so he
- 14:24Speaker 1: came along with the business. The key thing to this
- 14:28Speaker 1: store here in Marietta is our marketing team. We don't
- 14:31Speaker 1: only work with consumers. We have small business accounts. We
- 14:36Speaker 1: go after Kate do twelve because you know, the school systems,
- 14:41Speaker 1: everybody have laptop, so he's a tablets now. So that's
- 14:44Speaker 1: Kiana's role. She's our our marketer and she focuses on
- 14:49Speaker 1: you know, the schools, the small businesses. We have a
- 14:54Speaker 1: um A partnership with all the Marlett carriers, T Mobile, Verizon, A,
- 15:01Speaker 1: T n T. Those are our partners. We also partner
- 15:04Speaker 1: with other carriers UM such as ZAG which is the
- 15:09Speaker 1: invisible screen that you put on your shield, that you
- 15:12Speaker 1: put on your phone. So there when when we start
- 15:14Speaker 1: talking about why she should we should do this, we
- 15:18Speaker 1: already had partners that they UM they gave us. These
- 15:22Speaker 1: are your partners that will work with you. So that
- 15:25Speaker 1: made the situation just easy. So that means that you
- 15:28Speaker 1: carry that same brand to your next story. Yes, yes,
- 15:31Speaker 1: now this is very smart. This is very smart because
- 15:33Speaker 1: you're not coming in like virgin owners breaking into a
- 15:36Speaker 1: new territory. In fact, you you gotta leg up. Yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and the training is phenomenal. They give you training. Um,
- 15:42Speaker 1: they actually the support system is fantastic. We have a
- 15:45Speaker 1: lot of stories around us, but it's we Like we
- 15:48Speaker 1: bought Marryattas so there won't be another CPR in that market.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Now there's mom and pop you know stories in the
- 15:54Speaker 1: market of course. But the difference between CPR and some
- 15:57Speaker 1: of the mom and pop stores is we have relationships
- 15:59Speaker 1: with like we have a contract and exclusive contract with Apple.
- 16:02Speaker 1: We get Apple products we had, so when you come
- 16:05Speaker 1: to us, you will have an original iPhone product and
- 16:09Speaker 1: sang for Sam song. Right, That's that's really important. So
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'm really happy to hear this because of the fact that, again,
- 16:16Speaker 1: like your mom said earlier, a lot of African Americans
- 16:19Speaker 1: going to the food industry, the hair industry, the automotive
- 16:22Speaker 1: industry from the standpoint, and you guys are going into
- 16:24Speaker 1: the tech industry, which we as African Americans are always
- 16:27Speaker 1: perceived as being late or known. People are just consumers,
- 16:30Speaker 1: but not on the end of the production. And it's
- 16:33Speaker 1: also very scary. And one of the conversations my mom
- 16:35Speaker 1: and I, my my my mom, brother and I had
- 16:38Speaker 1: was we wanted to have a be in a situation
- 16:40Speaker 1: where we can leave money to our future. We want
- 16:43Speaker 1: to leave legacy money. Absolutely, So this is a situation.
- 16:46Speaker 1: When we started researching how much money that can actually
- 16:48Speaker 1: be made, it's a really it's tangible and it's actually,
- 16:51Speaker 1: um it's impressive. Oh, I can make that kind of money.
- 16:54Speaker 1: You know, you're excited about it. So it's and it's
