The ‘die-to-self’ theology possibly built around Paul’s statement of “I die daily” in 1 Corinthians 15:31 (NASB), is contextually wrong because Paul made that statement when defending his apostleship - on how he puts his life in danger daily in preaching the gospel. Paul is not referring to dying to sin daily. Why? Because our death to sin took place on the cross. We died once and for all to the nature of sin.
