- 0:00This shit ain't nothing to me, man. This is Boxing
- 0:03Before Dark. Boxing. Boxing. Boxing. Back. Back.
- 0:06Back. Back. Back. Before. Before. Before. Before.
- 0:11Boxing. Boxing. Boxing. Boxing Before Dark. This
- 0:15is Boxing Before Dark. Alright, here we go. Boxing
- 0:25Before Dark. We are back to talk the fights.
- 0:28This is where you get floor beers. Shanada, how
- 0:31many beers do you got on the floor right now?
- 0:35Just two. Two. Two tall boys. I got three. We're
- 0:40not having a measuring contest, though. You're
- 0:45bigger than me. My two floor beers are about
- 0:47the same. Let's see here. Let's get straight
- 0:51into the news here. I'm restarting it because
- 0:56I have to know. I need to know what the boxing
- 1:00public is thinking. So I have re -established
- 1:03my informal survey. Formally informal. BXNG .co
- 1:12slash survey. All it really is talking about,
- 1:16all I want to know about, what are your thoughts
- 1:18on the titles? What do you think about the ring?
- 1:22IBF? WBA? All the fucking major players. What
- 1:28do you think? How do you rank them? How do you
- 1:31rate them in terms of perceived corruption? All
- 1:35that type of stuff. So bxng .co slash survey.
- 1:40I want to hear your thoughts. Muhammad Ali American
- 1:44Boxing Revival Act. If you haven't heard, this
- 1:49cleared the House of Representatives by a margin
- 1:54of like 75%. approval. And that's not good. So
- 2:03what my ask is, it's another call to action.
- 2:07We can still stop this in the Senate. And it's
- 2:11going to take a lot of concerted effort. I have
- 2:15already written to both of my senators. I've
- 2:18encouraged everyone I know, anyone and everyone
- 2:21that I can think of. This includes activists
- 2:24that don't know a single thing about boxing other
- 2:28than the fact that it's about punching each other.
- 2:30That's all they know. And I've asked these political
- 2:34activists, hey, can you do me a solid here? Yeah.
- 2:39If you want me to explain why this legislation
- 2:43is bad, I will. I'm more than happy to do so.
- 2:48But if you're willing to take my word for it,
- 2:50just write to your senator. Tell them this shit
- 2:52sucks and that you don't support it. And that
- 2:56will be enough. Do you have a thing on the website
- 3:03that people could copy and paste? I will put
- 3:06one up. By the time you're hearing this, it will
- 3:08be available on the website. And a link to the
- 3:11survey? That is already up there too. Cool. Alright.
- 3:17So with all that shit out of the way... Let's
- 3:20get into the boxing drama. Mayweather Pacquiao
- 3:252 is in a questionable state at the moment. Last
- 3:31I heard, and we are recording at about 6 p .m.
- 3:38on the west coast of the U .S. on Friday, April
- 3:423rd. It was... Mayweather had said... The fight
- 3:50is not a sanctioned bout. It's an exhibition.
- 3:54Then later, further news saying the fight was
- 3:58canceled. Then Pacquiao's team is saying that
- 4:05Mayweather is in breach of their contracts. And
- 4:10then Mayweather, it's been reported he has taken
- 4:15cash advances on his contract. Yes. So what the
- 4:22fuck is going on? Mayweather is going to lose
- 4:26his house is what's going on. If he thinks he
- 4:29could breach contract with Netflix and come out
- 4:32on top, he's fucking delusional. With Pacquiao's
- 4:36team on top of it. It's just like to add the
- 4:40cherry on top of the Netflix sundae. But if he...
- 4:46My understanding is he signed a contract for
- 4:49a real not exhibition boxing match on Netflix
- 4:53and took a cash advance. And now he's like, no,
- 4:57it's an exhibition or it's not happening. And
- 5:00there's no fucking way Netflix is allowing an
- 5:03exhibition. And if Pacquiao Mayweather 2 fucking
- 5:08happens, there's going to be a billion dollars
- 5:11in bets placed. Of course. You can't bet on an
- 5:14exhibition. nobody is going to want this to not
- 5:18be a real fight except Mayweather. I've heard
- 5:23the Mayweather fanboys saying this is just publicity,
- 5:27like it's just to get people talking about it
- 5:30and interested, but I don't know if Mayweather
- 5:34would take it this far. I don't... Now, going
- 5:38from the sanctioned fight to exhibition to cancelled...
- 5:44That, I would believe it. I would believe that's
- 5:48just gamesmanship on Mayweather's part to try
- 5:51to stir up public controversy. But taking cash
- 5:54advances with what we know about his finances
- 5:58in recent history, I'm not so sure that this
- 6:02is just him messing around. I don't know if I
- 6:06believe that. I think he is legit worried he's
- 6:09going to lose his O on this one. Mayweather hasn't
- 6:12fought a real fight in forever. And I know Pacquiao's
- 6:17old, but so's Mayweather. Mayweather's older.
- 6:22But Mayweather's style is a lot of movement.
- 6:29And maybe he's scared he doesn't have that anymore.
- 6:33I legitimately think... Based on what we've seen
- 6:39out of Pacquiao in his recent fights, I would
- 6:43still rate Mayweather to win. I think it'll be
- 6:50closer than the first one. Yeah, you're right.
- 6:52But I still rate Mayweather to win. I don't know
- 6:57why you would be taking cash advances for the
- 7:01sake of, I don't know, stirring up controversy.
- 7:06Well, Mayweather hasn't admitted he took cash
- 7:09advances. Oh, right. Not publicly. He himself
- 7:13has not said so. Yeah. But a lot of people...
- 7:18If Mayweather thinks that he can go against Netflix
- 7:23and win, I think he's an idiot. That is... That's
- 7:32a tall task. Well, and if he took cash advances
- 7:37and his breach of contract and this does get
- 7:41canceled, he's going to have to pay interest
- 7:43on all that. And I'm assuming it's a couple million
- 7:45dollars. A couple. That's a lot of interest that
- 7:53accumulates quickly. Based on the, if we're talking,
- 7:57let's just assume that the Mayweather lawsuit
- 8:03amount. which was what, like 300 plus? Yeah.
- 8:08Let's assume that's the amount that he took out.
- 8:13He would not get a cash advance of 300 million.
- 8:16No. Let's say 10 % of it. To make the numbers
- 8:23easy, let's say he took out 10 million. 10 mil.
- 8:27Okay. What's 5 % of 10 million? Like 50 ,000?
- 8:35No, I think it's more. Pull out the calculators
- 8:41because we do not want Mayweather's fucking treachery.
- 8:47Okay, 10 million times .05. I was times 10 off.
- 8:56It's $500 ,000. Excellent. And 5 % interest is
- 9:02a pretty decent interest rate. Like, it's nice.
- 9:06Yes. Very favorable for Mayweather. So it's probably
- 9:13more than that. Yeah, and if his legal troubles
- 9:16are legitimate, which all signs point to them
- 9:20being legitimate, he's not going to get 5%. No.
- 9:28But just to make numbers easy. Yes, of course.
- 9:32And if it's accumulating interest like credit
- 9:36cards are. How much of that is going to principal,
- 9:41Floyd? Oh, these are kitchen table finances and
- 9:47your kitchen table is like as big as my house.
- 9:49Are you serious? I cannot believe that Mayweather
- 9:55is in so much debt. I mean, I can, but it's fucking
- 10:00crazy. He made so much money. How are you not
- 10:06set for life? Would you... Just gross. Like,
- 10:11um... Just gross on everything he ever did. Would
- 10:15you say he is a billion dollar fighter? Well,
- 10:19he's the highest... He was the highest paid athlete
- 10:22ever. Maybe still is. For several years in a
- 10:25row. Mayweather gross income total. See if the
- 10:34internet has done this for us. So according to
- 10:41the AI overview, $1 .1 to $1 .2 billion. Billion
- 10:47dollar fighter. Making him the highest paid pro
- 10:52boxer in history and one of only 11 athletes
- 10:55to surpass $1 billion in total earnings. 1 of
- 10:5911. Goodness gracious. According to the AI overview.
- 11:05Yeah. For something that is just like hard stats,
- 11:10I'd be willing to... It's usually pretty good.
- 11:13Yeah, I'll take the overview's word on it. Yeah.
- 11:18I just don't really like AI, so... I typically
- 11:22don't use it either, but in this instance, I'll
- 11:25take its word. just because it lets me dunk on
- 11:28Mayweather a little bit more. He pissed away
- 11:31$1 .1 billion. That's crazy. Like, if you put
- 11:42that in a very safe sort of investment, you could
- 11:45live off the interest easily. With a modest...
- 11:49Like, compared to Mayweather at his peak, right?
- 11:53A modest lifestyle? you'd be living off interest
- 11:57it wouldn't be modest for us no it's modest for
- 12:01him yeah that's what i mean is like a relatively
- 12:05modest lifestyle like if he were to live like
- 12:09me and i i i live within my means but i i'd like
- 12:15to i like toys and stuff right so yeah but with
- 12:22that kind of interest off of a He would be making
- 12:27a million dollars a year on top of what he spent
- 12:30if he lived like you. Easy. Right. Well. Anyway,
- 12:37Mayweather's an idiot. If I could get Floyd in
- 12:39a room and just like one clean slap on the face.
- 12:43Like, are you stupid? Do you need? Let me sit
- 12:46you down in my non. I'm not a CPA. I'm not an
- 12:52accountant or anything. But I will be your fiduciary.
- 12:56My entire job is to make your life fucking better.
- 13:01Well, how did he not have that person? Or refuse
- 13:06to listen to them? He probably paid somebody
- 13:09and just didn't listen to them, but... He has
- 13:13to have an accountant. You got to. You would
- 13:17think, anyway. Well, apparently not because he
- 13:21didn't notice that they didn't pay him $300 million
- 13:24somehow. Somehow. $300 million, Leo. Oh, so now
- 13:28he is a $1 .4 billion athlete. Excuse me. Holy
- 13:35shit. But that's more time than... Yeah, that's
- 13:44enough time. Moving on. Two, Gervonta Davis is
- 13:48countersuing the ex that accused him of kidnapping
- 13:52and all that. He's countersuing for defamation.
- 13:56The fucking videos came out. I don't know. She
- 14:01dropped the charges. I'm not sure what to make
- 14:05of this. The videos came out. I don't know why
- 14:11she dropped the charges either. The evidence
- 14:13is there. So even if she drops the charges because
- 14:21she just doesn't want to go through the legal
- 14:23hassle with you, the evidence still exists. She's
- 14:30not defending you. She just dropped the charges.
- 14:34Yeah, I don't get this one. I don't either. I
- 14:38don't know. Two peas in a pod. I guess maybe
- 14:42he's trying to scare other people from saying
- 14:46anything. Like, I don't want to call it witness
- 14:51intimidation because the charges were dropped,
- 14:54but like kind of preventative witness. Yeah.
- 14:57Yeah. I don't know. We'll see how this one develops
- 15:02because I don't know much more about it other
- 15:04than the headline. Fair enough. I hadn't even
- 15:08heard about this yet, so. Have you heard about
- 15:12the Cuban Olympians, Yuriyorkis Gamboa and Guillermo
- 15:18Rigandao will be headlining a show together.
- 15:22Not against each other, but they will be co -headlining
- 15:25a show in May together. I am not very excited
- 15:32about this. I'm not at all excited about this.
- 15:35Mid -40s. Both of them mid -40s. No thank you.
- 15:40Yeah. Yeah. And they weren't my favorites when
- 15:44they were fighting. Genpoa was okay. I was appreciative
- 15:50of Rigandao because, as I've mentioned before,
- 15:55for the weight classes that he was at, 118, 122,
- 16:01he was taller, tall -ish, lanky. He was a lanky
- 16:06counterpuncher, so I've already expressed my
- 16:09appreciation for a lanky counterpuncher. Yeah,
- 16:14but he got so fucking boring at the end. He was
- 16:18boring pretty much the entire time. Yeah, yeah.
- 16:22I was trying to be nice. He is fucking Benadryl.
- 16:27He is like the quintessential boring fucking
- 16:32fighter. He really is. And it pains me to say
- 16:36it because I really appreciate it. Let me take
- 16:39that back. It doesn't pain me to say it because
- 16:41he snubbed me one time at a bar and he walked
- 16:45in and I was like, hey, this was in Spanish.
- 16:48I was like, hey, champ, congratulations on your
- 16:50win. And then he just walked past me. And then
- 16:54as he walked, he was walking back out of the
- 16:58bar. I was like, hey, champ, congratulations
- 17:00on your win. And then he walked past me again.
- 17:04Dick. So, I'm not sorry to say, boring as shit,
- 17:08and not happy with you, William. William? Yeah,
- 17:16that's what Guillermo is. How? I don't know.
- 17:20I've had the same question my entire life. I
- 17:23always thought it was short for, like, Gordon.
- 17:25Or not short, but Spanish. Yeah, yeah. I can
- 17:29see that. That is a little bit more fitting.
- 17:34Moving on to Deontay Wilder's ex -fiance's son
- 17:40is suing Deontay Wilder over alleged abuses.
- 17:47Yeah, I don't know what to make of this one.
- 17:50The timing is a little suspicious. Yes, I would
- 17:53agree with that. But I could also see Deontay
- 17:57Wilder being abusive. I would... think if he's
- 18:06gonna be any kind of abusive it would be verbal
- 18:08or like emotional maybe he's a he's like a big
- 18:14man i don't think i don't imagine him and he
- 18:17has a like a daughter with a physical disability
- 18:20i don't think he would be physically abusive
- 18:23but i'm giving this is like all benefit of the
- 18:27doubt to deontay wilder my instinct is like believe
- 18:31believe victims I don't know what to make of
- 18:39this one. I do find it kind of funny that one
- 18:43of the supporting things that the son is using
- 18:47is that Deontay always said he wanted a body
- 18:49on his record. I'm just saying. That's one of
- 18:53the things that's quoted. Yeah, I saw that as
- 18:57well. To establish the mentality. Yeah, being
- 19:04a violent person. I mean, I don't want to try
- 19:11to defend and explain away what's possible here.
- 19:18Yeah. I want to take the fiancé's son, let's
- 19:27believe the victims here, but let's see how this
- 19:29investigation plays out. Um, the timing is suspicious.
- 19:34The supporting evidence is a little funky, but
- 19:40let's see. Well, there did ruin that poor burritos.
- 19:46If you would do that to a burrito, what would
- 19:51he do to a person? That was fucking ridiculous.
- 19:54It really was like it was supposed to be a joke,
- 19:57dude. Like you just give him a little tap. Yeah.
- 20:02But yeah, we'll see how this plays out. I don't
- 20:05know. Hopefully this is... I don't want to say
- 20:11hopefully it's nothing. I'm not sure how to say
- 20:15this. Hopefully there's clear evidence either
- 20:18way. Yes. Which is not going to be the case because
- 20:22it can't be. Shitty situation. Let's roll on.
- 20:28Sebastian Fundora and Josh Kelly. are in preliminary
- 20:31talks for a unification fight. Rest in peace
- 20:35to Josh Kelly's face. Yeah. Josh Kelly's gonna
- 20:39get wrecked. You ain't gonna be pretty no more,
- 20:41buddy. I mean, he has to fight somebody, and
- 20:48there's a lot of people that can take that belt.
- 20:51So... Murtazaliev is really knocking on the door,
- 20:55wanting his rematch. I, um... I wouldn't be sad
- 21:00if Pandora gets another belt, to be honest. Right,
- 21:04with the Zaius Boots talk. Yeah. No, they're
- 21:09already set. It's happening in late June. They're
- 21:11signed and set. Yeah. That's right. So with this
- 21:15unification, all we can think is winner versus
- 21:19winner. Gotta be, right? Has to be, right? Yeah,
- 21:22and undisputed. Why would you not? Whatever that
- 21:25weight class is. Oh, here's poetic justice. The
- 21:31winner of the undisputed fight takes on Jermel
- 21:37Charlo, the previous undisputed champion who
- 21:40quote unquote retired, did not get defeated in
- 21:44the ring to lose his belt. So he says. So we
- 21:48have a lineal undisputed champion. That is in
- 21:53the boxing survey. A lineal champion that does
- 21:57not have any belts or a champion that has all
- 22:00the belts but is not quote unquote lineal. What
- 22:04do you value here? That's it in the survey. I
- 22:09mean, nice. Because it's important to have a
- 22:13clear demarcation of where do we draw the line
- 22:17of what is and what isn't a champion. Interesting.
- 22:24I haven't looked at the survey yet. It's all
- 22:26right. We'll get there in due time. The Kameda
- 22:32card in Kyrgyzstan is off. A lot of safety concerns
- 22:38in the region. Iran, as we know, is popping off.
- 22:42Afghanistan and Pakistan are fucking with each
- 22:46other. Both of those are pretty damn close to
- 22:49Kyrgyzstan. Yeah. I'm a little bummed about this
- 22:54one. I wanted to see Niniere just fuck up Casabero.
- 22:58Don't we all? I had booked my seat at the bar
- 23:02and everything. Sucks. When you book a seat at
- 23:06the bar, do you have to put a deposit or anything?
- 23:08Like a little consideration? I text the guy and
- 23:12ask him if he can save me a seat. Hey, well,
- 23:15when you're a regular, it makes perfect sense.
- 23:18Yeah. Chris Eubank is coming back and he will
- 23:24be fighting Michael Zaraffo. Zaraffo recently
- 23:28left No Limit out of Australia. If he didn't
- 23:33leave, he was fucking axed after that last fight.
- 23:37Well, I tried to be a little... Nah, he doesn't
- 23:42deserve that. What, does the handsome Chippendales
- 23:47bartender not get your consideration? No, not
- 23:52after he tells the referee and the doctor he
- 23:55can't see and then lies about it in the post
- 23:59-fight interview. Yeah, well. Fucking tool. It's
- 24:04going to be a catchweight fight, which is a little
- 24:06silly to me. Chris Eubank was having problems
- 24:10with 160. I assume Zarafa is the one who asked
- 24:16for the catch. He does not rate a catchweight,
- 24:19is what I was getting at. It's like, Eubank has
- 24:23all the power, all the leverage here. Zarafa,
- 24:26you fucking do the dance, Chippendale boy. You
- 24:30do the dance that you're told to dance. I don't
- 24:33know that Eubank has all that much pull, given
- 24:38the way he lost his last fight. Like, Zarafa
- 24:42is a name in Australia. But this isn't going
- 24:48to be in Australia. And remember, Jacob told
- 24:50us that a lot of people, the overwhelming, the
- 24:54majority of the boxing public in Australia don't
- 24:57like him. Yeah. So they'll be hate watching,
- 25:02I guess. Yeah, I don't know. The timing of UK
- 25:06fights in Australia is also trash. They're on
- 25:10at like 6 a .m. Perfect. Perfect time for an
- 25:14Aussie to get fucking rip shit. That's true.
- 25:19Great excuse for day drinking. UK card. Yeah.
- 25:24Same here in the US. That's true. Oh, man. Speaking
- 25:33of somebody that might be day drinking, Mirko
- 25:36Cuello was an interim champion for the WBA. He
- 25:41has been stripped of that title. He remains the
- 25:45number one contender. For Brandon Figueroa. Interesting.
- 25:50Why did they strip him? That is... Inactivity?
- 25:54I don't think it's that. I think what is happening
- 25:57here is the WBA is anticipating the Ali Revival
- 26:04Act. And they're starting to pull back on their
- 26:07secondary titles. Ah, that makes sense. Just
- 26:11my guess. He last fought in Benghazi. I don't
- 26:16even know where Benghazi is. Libya? Ah, okay.
- 26:20I didn't recognize the flag. Benghazi, for us
- 26:25Americans, it's a very loaded word. The U .S.
- 26:33Embassy was attacked in Benghazi, and a lot of
- 26:37people died. Sorry. I didn't know that. Hillary
- 26:43Clinton was the Secretary of State, so naturally
- 26:46that political faction took up arms because Hillary
- 26:54Clinton, one of the Clintons, let Americans die.
- 26:59Fair enough. It was this whole fucking debacle.
- 27:04Anyways, I'm okay with getting rid of the interim
- 27:06titles. I think they're confusing. They're pointless.
- 27:10The only... The only people who do them right
- 27:14are no shit WBO and IBF. Yeah, except they keep
- 27:19putting my boy in recess for no fucking reason.
- 27:22WBA is fucking around. Like, WBA and WBC, name
- 27:27two, a more dynamic duo of fuckery and bullshit.
- 27:33Yeah. Those two, man. Moving to the IBA. is planning
- 27:42the Beevil Better Be If trilogy. By the end of
- 27:472026, this will be in Moscow. That's interesting,
- 27:51being in Moscow. I guess they are both Russian,
- 27:55so it's not that crazy. But I can't remember
- 28:00the last time there was a big fight in Russia.
- 28:04It's been a minute. At least 10 years. Klitschko
- 28:12Povechkin is the last one I remember. Yeah, that's
- 28:15a long time ago. Roy Jones had a card there.
- 28:23He's a dual citizen. Roy Jones is? I didn't know
- 28:27that. He's a Russian citizen. Interesting. Yeah.
- 28:34Honestly, I'm not very excited about this fight.
- 28:37I'm not either. I don't think the third one needs
- 28:40to happen. Personally, I think B -Bowl won both
- 28:43of them. I was just about to say, this is 2 -0
- 28:45B -Bowl. There's... I don't know what else you
- 28:48want. Yeah. Two 7 -5s. That's not... We need
- 28:56to cut the... One loss means you're fucking shit
- 29:02or something or whatever. BetterBF had two very
- 29:05close fights with... He himself is an elite fighter.
- 29:08He just so happened to encounter someone who's
- 29:11a little bit better. Yeah, and I'd just like
- 29:15to see them fight other people instead. Exactly.
- 29:18They have other business to attend to. But I
- 29:22guess somebody out there wants it. It's just
- 29:26not me. I'll watch it. The Russians, like, of
- 29:30course. Russia versus Russia. And a fight in
- 29:33Moscow is kind of cool. I wonder if it's going
- 29:36to be hard to watch, though. Like, this should
- 29:40get put up on one of the streamers. I don't know
- 29:43which one these guys work with, but, like, I
- 29:47don't know how broadcasting rights are going
- 29:51to work with Russia and everywhere else. Good
- 29:54point. Good point. I expect... Turkey would probably
- 30:01make this available on DAZN just because he has
- 30:04a working relationship with them. Yeah, that's
- 30:08true. And it might be cool to see what a Russian
- 30:11crowd is like because the German crowd surprised
- 30:15me. It shouldn't have because historically they're
- 30:19super into it. So seeing a Moscow crowd could
- 30:23be cool. Probably just as many crowd fights as
- 30:27there is boxing fights. Should be a good time.
- 30:30I kind of like when the crowd pops off and you
- 30:33see them in the background and they're trying
- 30:34to switch camera angles so you can see the boxing.
- 30:37And not the crowd fights. Finiqueros. We got
- 30:42into it. That did not happen anywhere that was
- 30:48within, I don't know, 100 feet of me. I didn't
- 30:53see one close by. There was a lot of crowd fights
- 30:56that night. There was at least four. that I picked
- 30:59up watching the replay. I'll have to check out
- 31:01the replay to see how much, but how much I might
- 31:04have been able to capture if I had been paying
- 31:06attention to not the fight. The fight was better
- 31:11anyways, but it was just funny. Oh, speaking
- 31:16of funny, Top Rank will be having their first
- 31:19card in May on DAZN. This will be headlined by
- 31:23the Keyshawn Davis -Naheer Albright rematch.
- 31:28I also don't care about this fight. There's a
- 31:31lot of fights I don't care about coming up. It's
- 31:34such a fun, like, the drama. It's fun for this
- 31:39one. This is a solid, like, WWF situation. Because
- 31:44is Nahir Albright the one that they jumped in
- 31:47the dressing room? Yes, correct. Because he beat
- 31:51one of the brothers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You beat
- 31:57up my brother, I'll get you. Fucking ridiculous.
- 32:02I'm going to have to be cheering for Albright
- 32:05on this one. Absolutely. He's probably going
- 32:09to fucking get his ass beat, but still. Doesn't
- 32:12matter. I'm going to cheer for him. I'm cheering
- 32:14for him anyway. Keyshawn Davis is such a fuck
- 32:18up lately. It's not nice to say, but. He blew
- 32:24so much goodwill in such a short time. Blowing
- 32:28weight and then jumping the dude that, fair and
- 32:34square, beat your brother in the ring, like in
- 32:38a professional setting. Yeah. And the brother
- 32:41that got beat is the only one that wasn't in
- 32:44on it. Like, he's the normal one. Yeah, that's
- 32:49a fair assessment. And he took his baby to a
- 32:54brawl. Like, what the fuck are you doing, man?
- 32:57I'd like to, I know it's harsh to say or whatever,
- 33:01but it's a major exaggeration. But I always like
- 33:05to say that Keyshawn threw a baby at Albright.
- 33:09At Albright? He threw a baby at him. He absolutely
- 33:12did not. Fucking crazy. Let's be fucking real
- 33:15here. He didn't throw a baby, but he took a baby
- 33:18with him. He did start a fight right beside a
- 33:21stroller. That's crazy. Let's finish up with
- 33:25the news here. Glory at Giza. The undercard has
- 33:29been announced. Are you fucking ready? Because
- 33:34this is going to... It's a pretty good card.
- 33:36It's going to blow your socks off. All right.
- 33:41Starting off, Hamza Shiraz versus Alan Begich.
- 33:45The WBO super middleweight title will be on the
- 33:48line. Jack Catterall versus Shakram Giyasov.
- 33:54This is for the WBA regular welterweight title.
- 34:01Frank Sanchez versus Richard Torres has found
- 34:05a new home. I thought this was going to end up
- 34:09on a... What is it? Better... Benavidez versus
- 34:15Zerto. I thought this was going to end up there.
- 34:21I don't mind it being on this card. No, not at
- 34:23all. Mizuki Hiruta versus Mai Soliman for the
- 34:30WBO 115 title. I love... Mimi. She's so cute.
- 34:38Did you see they gifted her a custom heavy bag
- 34:42in the gym? No. It's all pink, and it's got Mimi
- 34:47written on it a bunch, and it's got that she's
- 34:50a world title champion. Excellent. Yeah. I'll
- 34:54see if I can find the Instagram post. I'll send
- 34:57it to you. Basim Mamdou versus Jamar Taleb. Mahmoud
- 35:05Mubarak versus Michael Kalyalia. Yeah, I did
- 35:11that right. Omar Hikal versus Ali Serunkuma.
- 35:17And there you have it. That's Gloria Giza. They
- 35:21obviously have a lot of North African fighters
- 35:23here. Makes sense. I mean, the last four fights
- 35:27should be entertaining. I think. Yeah, one could
- 35:33reasonably expect. Like, given the magnitude
- 35:36of the card, it makes sense that they would want
- 35:39to put, like, competitive, entertaining fights
- 35:44on the bill. One would hope, anyway. Plus we
- 35:52get to see Mimi in front of the pyramids. Holy
- 35:54shit, her outfit is gonna be so fucking dope
- 35:58for pyramids. Yeah, yeah. Like, pyramid. I'm
- 36:03hoping for some Yu -Gi -Oh shit. Or maybe Cardcaptor
- 36:07Sakura. Oh, man. If she did, like, the Millennium
- 36:13Puzzle from Yu -Gi -Oh with, like, the eye on
- 36:16it and everything. Yeah, that would be really
- 36:19cool. But Yu -Gi -Oh has a boy main character,
- 36:22so I think it might end up being Cardcaptor Sakura.
- 36:26Could be. Yeah, that would probably make more
- 36:28sense. Yeah. Yeah. Or it might be Sailor Moon
- 36:33again. Who knows? Or some completely not anime.
- 36:38Whatever her designer wants to do. I'm sure it'll
- 36:41be fun. It's gonna be fucking dope. Yeah. Oh,
- 36:46anything more for the news? Uh... No. No. We
- 36:52covered everything. Oh, I don't know if you guys
- 36:57talked about it on B -Sides, but the girl that
- 37:01got knocked out and was in a coma. Yeah, Isis.
- 37:05Thank you. There was a picture of her and Jocelyn
- 37:11was her opponent, right? Yes. They met up and
- 37:15were just standing in the street. Friendly. She
- 37:17seems like she's going to be okay. Like she was
- 37:21up and walking and everything. yeah everything
- 37:24like as we had uh noted when it after it happened
- 37:29like the immediate news was all signs are positive
- 37:33and the news that we have had since has been
- 37:37positive very positive yeah uh yeah maybe we
- 37:42talked about it last time i can't remember i
- 37:44don't think so anyways i don't think that's good
- 37:47news we didn't have that much information available
- 37:50at the time yeah she seems like she's up and
- 37:54around and like going out so all things point
- 37:59to good all right let me put some notes in here

- 43:11Live in Manchester. This was actually, like,
- 43:15for a Brit card, this was fucking really good.
- 43:19Yeah. A lot of stoppages. Let's see. running
- 43:24up from the bottom. Nelson Burchall stops Ryan
- 43:28Griffiths in the ninth. Josh Holmes stops Alex
- 43:32Murphy in the first. Michael Gomez, my personal
- 43:36pick for non -main event knockout of the night,
- 43:40stops Jordan Flynn in the third. Jerome Warburton
- 43:46did not get the script and got a UD over Nathan
- 43:50Heaney. Brad Pauls stops Shaquille Thompson in
- 43:54the ninth. Liam Davies. It's Davis. I've been
- 44:00saying that wrong my whole life. He retires Zach
- 44:04Miller after the sixth. Willie Hutchinson. UD
- 44:10over Ezra Taylor. Should have fucking moved you
- 44:13to the undercard. Yeah. And... Moses Itauma knocks
- 44:18out Jermaine Franklin in the fifth. Holy shit.
- 44:24Fucking crazy knockout. He decapitated him. It's
- 44:31like Jermaine Franklin is a computer, right?
- 44:35And then Itauma presses the power button and
- 44:39then it takes that time where it just kind of
- 44:41stalls before it starts shutting off. And he
- 44:45punched him again, just to make sure. He pressed
- 44:48the button again, and off he fucking went. Jermaine
- 44:51Franklin was out on his fucking face. Holy shit.
- 44:58I was not expecting a knockout like that. I was
- 45:02expecting a knockout, but not like that. I was
- 45:05expecting it a few rounds later, like somewhere
- 45:09in the 8th, 9th, maybe 10th. sort of time frame.
- 45:13I thought Jermaine Franklin was going to be able
- 45:16to last a bit longer. It was really clear within
- 45:20the first round that Franklin was like out of
- 45:23his element. He was not ready to handle this.
- 45:27This was not close in any aspect. No, definitely
- 45:31not. I know this was a step up fight, but Atalma
- 45:35needs another step up. Like he was just so much
- 45:41better. He took the stairs fucking two at a time.
- 45:44He stepped over the step up of Franklin. Yeah.
- 45:49Yeah. Fantastic. Fantastic performance. You know,
- 45:54those training videos where the guys like run
- 45:57up the long stairs at a stadium or whatever,
- 46:00but they do them like three at a time. That's
- 46:03what Moses is doing right now. Straight up. Straight
- 46:06up. Crazy. Also, we glossed over it, but I just
- 46:12want to point out that Nathan Heaney looks like
- 46:15an 1800s explorer, and he kind of fights like
- 46:19an 1800s, like, come at me, bro. I challenge
- 46:23you to fisticuffs. Yeah, yeah. I think Nathan
- 46:28Heaney's probably done or should be done soon.
- 46:31but i fucking love every time he's on a card
- 46:35he's not that good oh yeah look super stiff like
- 46:39he's old he looks like boxing in a historical
- 46:44period like and he has like the tyson fury phrase
- 46:49big stiff idiot like he has that that sort of
- 46:54like stature Yeah, yeah. But he also kind of
- 46:59looks like the bad guy from Tarzan. You know,
- 47:05the 1800s British explorer going through the
- 47:08jungle and raping and pillaging everything. Van
- 47:13Pelt from Jumanji. If somebody wants a more recent...
- 47:18Yep. Yeah. He doesn't really deserve the time,
- 47:24but I just want everyone to go see what this
- 47:26man looks like. And tell me he's not Van Pelt.
- 47:36Moses Atalma. So, like, the conversation is starting
- 47:38to take shape of him being in the, like, compared
- 47:46to the current, like, the non - Usyk elite right
- 47:52now, right? Like Fabio Wardley, Daniel Dubois,
- 47:59he's matched with Wardley. Caballel, another
- 48:04one. Atalma versus Caballel, that's a big step
- 48:09up, I think, but would be very interesting. I
- 48:14wouldn't mind another step in between, but he's
- 48:17probably going to blow through that. But who
- 48:19else is there? The crop of heavyweight is so
- 48:23bad. Just because I am not American, I kind of
- 48:27want them to feed Jared Anderson to Moses Otama.
- 48:32I think that is the eventual plan. It's just
- 48:37that Anderson needs some rebuilding. Just because
- 48:41that loss to Bacoli was fucking bad. That's true.
- 48:47He does have a win since then, but it was like
- 48:50a bit of a gimme. So, like, Anderson needs to
- 48:54reestablish himself as a valid contender. So,
- 48:59I do think that Anderson is... I only worry that
- 49:03Anderson isn't going to do that. I think that
- 49:08the plan is for Anderson to be food for one of
- 49:12Frank Warren's British heavyweights. Fair enough.
- 49:17I just don't know which. Honestly, I wouldn't
- 49:19hate seeing Atalma fight Bacoli either. That's
- 49:23pretty damn good, actually. Like... There's Lawrence
- 49:30Acoli, Tony Yoka. Don't do Tony Yoka like that.
- 49:37He doesn't deserve that. He does, because he's
- 49:40French. Yeah, I do think there's some in -between
- 49:47guys that Moses could fight that would still
- 49:52be a pretty big step up and maybe show us some
- 49:56more. Because, like, Atalma just hasn't been
- 50:00challenged yet at all. And he needs rounds. Like,
- 50:06he's not getting enough in -ring experience.
- 50:10He did say immediately in the post -fight interview
- 50:13that he wanted to fight Hergovich. And Hergovich
- 50:17has since said that that is his... He has mandated
- 50:21to his manager or whoever that Atalma is his
- 50:26next fight after David Allen. That's not bad.
- 50:32I don't hate that. Not bad. What about the undisputed
- 50:42Zufa champion, F .A. Ajagba? Atalma decapitates
- 50:51Ajagba. Like, that's not worth anything to me.
- 50:58I think he does Ajagba worse than he did Franklin,
- 51:01to be honest. I would agree. I was about to say,
- 51:06like, what about Charles Martin? The same way
- 51:10you said don't do Yoko like that, we don't need
- 51:13to do Charles Martin like that. We already know
- 51:15how that's going to go. Yeah. Right now, I do
- 51:21think it's hard to find somebody that's going
- 51:25to push a Tauma that he's ready for. Joseph Parker.
- 51:32that wouldn't be terrible but like is parker
- 51:35suspended for the cocaine or what the fuck's
- 51:38going on there that i i saw the i'm i'm like
- 51:41shrugging my shoulders for the people who can't
- 51:43see um like i i saw somebody else raise the question
- 51:47like did we ever get word on the b sample because
- 51:51we haven't i've never heard anything but i think
- 51:55the last guy that popped for cocaine in the uk
- 51:58ended up with like a six year suspension or something
- 52:01crazy okay so then do the fight in like Gibraltar
- 52:05or some shit yeah that yeah fair fair point but
- 52:09like I have no idea what's going on with Joseph
- 52:11Parker but he I think could probably give Moses
- 52:16rounds just by being more defensive than any
- 52:19of the guys he's fought so far yeah that was
- 52:22my thinking when I suggested him But yeah, Moses
- 52:28needs rounds. He needs somebody that can make
- 52:30him show us something. Murat Gassiev. He's not
- 52:36the most... He's not the best heavyweight, but
- 52:40he is a power threat. And I think that because
- 52:44he's a power threat, it would make Atalma fight
- 52:49differently when he's... Possible. When he's
- 52:53facing a... A legitimate threat. Someone that
- 52:56can touch him and put him down. And it would
- 53:00be... Practice isn't the right word. But it would
- 53:05be good practice if they're going to put him
- 53:07against Wardley. Yes, definitely. Because Wardley's
- 53:11got that fucking triple seven power. Ridiculous.
- 53:17Gassiev, I would liken to David Lemieux. Where
- 53:21he's a bit of a club level guy. But his power
- 53:25is, like, fucking world -changing. Yeah, yeah,
- 53:28I can see that. Fuck, I miss David Lemieux. Him
- 53:34and his Pidgeotto hair. Goddamn. Anything more
- 53:43for the Queensberry card? No. Okay, ProBoxTV
- 53:49at Thunder Studios in California. From the bottom
- 53:55up, just some quick stuff. Flavio Burgenio versus
- 53:59Josias Gonzalez. He retired after the first.
- 54:07Cooper O 'Connell stops Jorge Garcia in the third.
- 54:12Alberto Alvarez, UD over Eric Ruiz. KJ Wyalai.
- 54:20I think I got that right. You nailed YLI and
- 54:24you called McConnell O 'Connell. That's funny
- 54:27to me. I actually miscorrected myself on the
- 54:33doc. Ah, sorry. It's O 'Connell. But I had it
- 54:37as O 'Connell and then I checked BoxRec and they
- 54:40had it as McConnell. Then I rewatched the card
- 54:43and it was O 'Connell. It was O 'Connell? Yeah.
- 54:46Okay, sorry. So, yep. Leonardo Rubalcava, UD
- 54:53over Juan Yanez. Excellent, Leo. I'm flexing
- 55:00because it's you and me, dog. Leo's against the
- 55:03world. He gets to keep the name. He gets to keep
- 55:05it. Rene Taez retires Malik Montgomery after
- 55:11the sixth. Man, it was competitive for like the
- 55:14first three. And then Taez, just like that pressure,
- 55:19man. It was just too much. And Malik, he was
- 55:22trying to play it slick. He was trying to play
- 55:24it mobile. He just was not able to keep Tejas
- 55:28off of him. Man. Good fight, though. Very, very
- 55:33good fight. It was pretty fun. I like this one.
- 55:38And in the main event, Brian Acosta, UD over
- 55:41Ronnie Rios. Ronnie did... Like a veteran that's
- 55:48brought in to test. I don't know if prospect
- 55:54is the right word here. But like a contender
- 55:57working his way up. Ronnie Rios was a solid test.
- 56:02And a coast to pass. Like with fantastic colors.
- 56:08Yeah, Ronnie Rios is one of those guys that he's
- 56:11a good step up at this point. Like a test, like
- 56:14you said. gatekeeper, I guess. He's a higher
- 56:18-end gatekeeper, though. Yeah, yeah. But he's
- 56:23starting to rack up some losses, Ronnie Rios.
- 56:28I think Probox is going to keep him working for
- 56:32some time, because they're going to be pushing
- 56:36contenders at him, and it's going to be his job
- 56:42to sort it out. man i fucking love provox this
- 56:49like uh i had opted to watch the pbc prelims
- 56:54instead and when i went back to watch this i
- 56:58was like damn dude i fucked i fucked up i should
- 57:01have watched this well that's the nice thing
- 57:03about provox though you can always just watch
- 57:06it later yeah because it's on youtube that was
- 57:09my rationale as well Like, that's what I did
- 57:13with the boxing last night here in Japan. I got
- 57:16invited to the festival, so I went there because
- 57:18I can watch it today when we're done. Yeah. And
- 57:22nobody spoils the Japanese cards for me. Moving
- 57:28on. Last recap card. We got PBC on Prime. Let's
- 57:39go from the bottom up. Aldo Blancas stops Jamal
- 57:44Johnson in two. Robert Guerrero, UD over Rigoberto
- 57:49Rivera. Brian Gonzalez, fucking Arizona boy,
- 57:54stops Brandon Medina in five. I think he could
- 58:00have done that sooner if he had put his foot
- 58:02on the gas a little bit. But it's all good. Stopping
- 58:08five isn't bad, though. No, it's not. It's just
- 58:11like he had him figured out. That's all. Five
- 58:15is not bad, though. Not at all a bad performance.
- 58:26Man, an Arizona boy doing bad. Kevin Newman,
- 58:38majority decision over Elijah Garcia. Majority
- 58:42decision is really fucking favorable to Elijah.
- 58:46That was a... Yeah, he did not do well. Straight
- 58:50ass. Poo -poo. Please take the 602 off your trunks.
- 58:57Moving into the paid portion. Gergen, Hovenissian,
- 59:03Big Goog. Big Goog. Sorry, stop. Cesar Navarro
- 59:09in the fifth. Cesar Navarro apparently fought
- 59:13at fucking like light welterweight at one point
- 59:17in his career. That's crazy. Now he's a heavyweight?
- 59:21That's fucking wild, man. Yeah, he started at
- 59:26147 and he weighed in for this fight at 210,
- 59:30which is not his heaviest. Wow. You should consider
- 59:38Cruiserweight, my man. Bro needs the Winchellas
- 59:42sponsor. Gook is... I don't know why we would
- 59:55be talking about him in the same conversation
- 59:59as elite heavyweights. He's big. He's fun. But,
- 1:00:05eh, he's not that great. He seems to have fans.
- 1:00:10I know. It's fucking crazy how many people showed
- 1:00:14out for him. Yoenly Hernandez stops Terrell Gachet
- 1:00:22in four. Gachet is starting to wear out his welcome
- 1:00:28as a gatekeeper. Might be time to start thinking
- 1:00:31about a different career. Yeah, he's racking
- 1:00:35up some loss records here. Yep. Oh, man. Yohannes
- 1:00:42Taez rebounds from the Abbas Baru loss and beats
- 1:00:48Brian Mendoza by UD despite getting his fucking
- 1:00:53face smashed in by a headbutt. Yeah, that was
- 1:00:58crazy. I was surprised that Taez decided to continue.
- 1:01:03I was really worried he was getting Tim Zood
- 1:01:06there. I thought that was what was going to happen.
- 1:01:11But, like, he had the out. He could have taken,
- 1:01:15like, the nose smash with the headbutt and called
- 1:01:18it a no contest. And... Didn't. Yeah, he chose
- 1:01:24to keep going. And he boxed smart. He kept Mendoza,
- 1:01:28like, off of his face. He had to sacrifice the
- 1:01:32body a bit, but, like, what else are you going
- 1:01:35to do? Like, you have a compromised nose. You're
- 1:01:39going to have to take some damage downstairs
- 1:01:42to protect yourself. Yeah, it was smashed bad.
- 1:01:46Like, he must have been having trouble breathing.
- 1:01:49Yeah, his mouth was open, like, the entire time.
- 1:01:52But, you know, he played it smart. He fought
- 1:01:56smart. He beat a high end. High -end gatekeeper.
- 1:02:03Yeah, I was impressed with him. I thought that
- 1:02:08was a really good win. It is. Especially coming
- 1:02:12off the Barulas. I think Teyes, if Fundora vs.
- 1:02:19Kelly doesn't get made, Teyes is not a bad name
- 1:02:23for Fundora. I don't think anyway. I would rather
- 1:02:31see Fundora go for the unification. Of course.
- 1:02:35That has to be what any self -respecting champion
- 1:02:42would want to do the unifications. I would think.
- 1:02:48I think Fundora does. He has said in the past
- 1:02:57His words, they have to come to me. Yeah. I'm
- 1:03:06really high on Fandora, so. Well, speaking of
- 1:03:11which, Sebastian Fandora stops Keith Thurman
- 1:03:14in six. Thurman was not happy with Thomas Taylor's
- 1:03:19decision, and I have to disagree with you, Keith.
- 1:03:23Yeah, Jesus Christ, man. It would be one thing
- 1:03:28if it would be a bad Brit stoppage if Thurman
- 1:03:32had done anything. But he was just getting his
- 1:03:37ass kicked the entire fight. Like, and his face
- 1:03:41at the press conference. That made me laugh.
- 1:03:45It's like a raccoon mask of bruising. Yeah, like,
- 1:03:49your face is all fucked up. and you're talking
- 1:03:53about how the ref should never work again, like,
- 1:03:55dude saved your ass, man. And he was saying,
- 1:03:59like, yeah, so what if I had a broken orbital
- 1:04:02bone? Like, what do you mean, so what? That's
- 1:04:06your fucking eyesight, buddy. You only get one
- 1:04:10of those. Yeah, I think that's not exactly how
- 1:04:13he said it, but he's like, they let people fight
- 1:04:16with broken orbitals, and this isn't broken.
- 1:04:19But they let people fight with broken orbitals
- 1:04:22that have a shot at winning. Thurman didn't land
- 1:04:26a significant punch that entire fight. Maybe,
- 1:04:31like, maybe two that you could call significant.
- 1:04:34A handful tops. Like, it was crazy. And I was
- 1:04:39telling fucking everybody before the fight, Fundora
- 1:04:42figured out how to jab. Thurman's too old to
- 1:04:47get inside. And he doesn't have one -shot power.
- 1:04:53Thurman has never had one -shot power, really.
- 1:04:56It was always like he'd get him hurt and then
- 1:04:59he'd knock him out. And Fedora's never been knocked
- 1:05:02out with one punch. It's always a... Well, he's
- 1:05:05been knocked out once, but it was a big accumulation
- 1:05:07of punches. Would... Well, no, never mind. I
- 1:05:12was about to say, would Mendoza rematch? be at
- 1:05:16all reasonable, but he lost to Tejas, so never
- 1:05:19mind. And also, that's not the same Fundora.
- 1:05:22Fundora's been improving so much lately. Yeah,
- 1:05:27you're fighting at the... Romeo said at the beginning
- 1:05:32of the fight, he said, Thurman has to overcome
- 1:05:349 inches. And then at the end, as the stoppage
- 1:05:40was coming, Thurman is not overcoming 9 inches.
- 1:05:44No. Not at all. And there's some fucking hilarious
- 1:05:48pictures out there where Thurman was like ducking
- 1:05:52a punch so he squatted down a little bit and
- 1:05:55it's just fucking towering inferno fedora over
- 1:05:59top of him with his fucking long ass arms. There
- 1:06:04was a surprising amount of Thurman support in
- 1:06:08the server that night. I was shocked at how many
- 1:06:12people thought Keith still had it. like with
- 1:06:16frost or josh for example like he his rationale
- 1:06:20was at like as he was typing in his thurman support
- 1:06:24it was it would be hilarious if thurman won so
- 1:06:29i want the hilarious outcome but other yeah that's
- 1:06:34one other people were serious yes exactly that
- 1:06:37there were other people that were saying like
- 1:06:40Thurman can do this. Thurman can make this happen.
- 1:06:43In a different chat, I got into an hour -long
- 1:06:47argument with someone who was dead serious that
- 1:06:50Fedora is buns and Thurman's going to kill him.
- 1:06:53And I was like, you're an idiot. What happened
- 1:06:56after the result? I didn't. I'm a nice person.
- 1:07:05You didn't follow up to fucking dunk? I showed
- 1:07:10up and I said, like, I fucking told you so. And
- 1:07:14they didn't respond and I didn't push it. But
- 1:07:17I added them with a, like, it went exactly how
- 1:07:20I told you it would. And crickets. And I just
- 1:07:24left it. So, well, at least we can, we know for
- 1:07:30sure that that person is not Nova. Because they'll
- 1:07:36double down on their fucking stupidity. No, it's
- 1:07:39definitely not Nova. It's in a different Discord
- 1:07:42where I don't get along with a lot of them, so
- 1:07:46I try to be nice because the six people I really
- 1:07:50get along with, I want to keep talking to. Well,
- 1:07:57anything more? Well, Fundora, we know he's going
- 1:08:01for Kelly. If it doesn't work out with Kelly,
- 1:08:08I think Tejas is a good fallback. Just because
- 1:08:12he won on the co -main. When is Zaius Ennis?
- 1:08:18They're off schedule for each other now, right?
- 1:08:22That's at late June. Right. I just want Fundora
- 1:08:30to go grab the IVF belt and wait for the winner.
- 1:08:33Of Boots Zayas. I think if he went for it now,
- 1:08:37he could get Kelly around the same time. And
- 1:08:44then they could meet later in the year. Fundora
- 1:08:47took no damage in that fight. Exactly. Like,
- 1:08:51he doesn't need any healing up time. Right. Let's
- 1:08:58get some more notes before we get to the previews.
- 1:09:04833 -589 -7637. Hit me up in WhatsApp. I want
- 1:09:09to hear what you think about Fundora beating
- 1:09:12Thurman. What do you think about Fundora Kelly?
- 1:09:14What do you think about Fundora's chances? Let's
- 1:09:19assume he beats Kelly. What do you think of his
- 1:09:22chances against the winner of Boots versus Zaius,
- 1:09:25which is probably Boots? i'm gonna fucking laugh
- 1:09:29my ass off if zaius pulls this off absolutely
- 1:09:32i'm fucking nobody is giving him a shot no uh

- 1:14:04right. We have a packed weekend. And it starts
- 1:14:11on Thursday. Eye of the Tiger in Quebec. Eye
- 1:14:23of the Tiger shit up the card. Co -main Arthur
- 1:14:27B. Arslanov is worth watching. He's facing who?
- 1:14:32Doesn't really matter. Same as every Eye of the
- 1:14:36Tiger card? Right. It doesn't really matter.
- 1:14:40We're watching a guy get a highlight win. Yeah.
- 1:14:45The main event. Oslis Iglesias will be fighting
- 1:14:52for the vacant IBF super middleweight title against
- 1:14:55Pavel Silgyagin. If you're wondering who Pavel
- 1:15:00is, so am I. All we really know is that Pavel
- 1:15:05had a questionable draw. That is to say, he was
- 1:15:11probably losing. He got a questionable draw against
- 1:15:16a guy that Oslis put into a seizure in the middle
- 1:15:22of the ring. Yeah. Yeah. Make of that what you
- 1:15:26will. This is boxing. Anything can happen. One
- 1:15:30punch can change anything. All of the adages
- 1:15:33that you can think of, I don't think they apply
- 1:15:37here. No, I would not be surprised if Osley's
- 1:15:42gives another guy a seizure. It's highly likely.
- 1:15:49Let's go to Friday, April 10th. Probox TV at
- 1:15:54the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
- 1:15:57I'm going from the top down this time. Sembatar
- 1:16:01Ordenabat, he's fighting Muhammad Yakubov. That's
- 1:16:07a 10 -round 130 fight. Herbert Conceição is facing
- 1:16:14Johan Gonzalez. That's a 10 -round middleweight
- 1:16:18fight. I think Herbert is related to Robson.
- 1:16:22Pardon me. He is from the same area in Brazil,
- 1:16:29at least. They're neighbors. They might be cousins
- 1:16:35or something. Yeah. I thought I heard on the
- 1:16:40last Pro Box card that they're related. Conceição
- 1:16:45is not a very common name. Not that I've seen.
- 1:16:48Between MMA and boxing, I haven't seen that name
- 1:16:53a lot. No, my Brazilian friend, I was talking
- 1:16:57about Conceição, and she's like, that's a weird
- 1:17:01name. Well, I get that for my name, too, with
- 1:17:09other Spanish -speaking people. Moving down the
- 1:17:17list, William Foster. He's a ProBox alum. Keith
- 1:17:23Colon, ProBox alum. That's really all I got.
- 1:17:30The top. It's not a long -ass card. It is. But
- 1:17:36it should be over pretty quick. Because it's
- 1:17:39a lot of four -rounders and stuff. It's 13 fights.
- 1:17:44That's crazy. I'm going to be cheering for Erdenbot
- 1:17:51entirely because he's from Mongolia. I fucking
- 1:17:54love Mongolians. They're my favorite. I do, though.
- 1:17:58Like, legitimately, Mongolians are fun. And you
- 1:18:02don't see very many Mongolians in any sport.
- 1:18:05I know. That's why, like, in 1FC, the bantamweight
- 1:18:10MMA champ in 1FC is Enkorgil Batarku. He's from
- 1:18:17Physical Asia. Yes. The TV show, yeah. That is
- 1:18:24correct. He looks like some sort of, like, throwback
- 1:18:30nomad guy. His look is crazy. Like, Sambatar
- 1:18:35is, like, clean -cut, modern -looking dude. But,
- 1:18:40like, Angkor Gil is... He looks like he's riding...
- 1:18:44He lives in a cave. Yeah, he looks like he's
- 1:18:47riding with Genghis Khan. He looks crazy. Let's
- 1:18:54roll on to Saturday, April 11th. We've got three
- 1:18:58cards and the timing works out nicely. First
- 1:19:04things first. Taken at the Ryokoku Kokugikan
- 1:19:10in Tokyo. And guess who has a ticket? Oh, who
- 1:19:14has a ticket? I am so fucking excited. I'm pissed
- 1:19:19off. Because I couldn't figure out how to buy
- 1:19:22from Suboi. I had to buy a ticket that had Nasakawa's
- 1:19:27name on it, which pissed me off. But I'm really
- 1:19:34excited to see, like, four of these five fights.
- 1:19:38So I had to do it. Let's go from the bottom up.
- 1:19:42I don't know necessarily if this is the running
- 1:19:44order. This is just what BoxRec had. Keita Kubotera
- 1:19:51versus Chris Aldi Beltran. That's a lightweight
- 1:19:54fight. Katsuma Akitsugi versus Jose Calderon.
- 1:20:01I am so excited to see Akitsugi in person. Are
- 1:20:06you going to get him to sign something? They
- 1:20:09never do that. I could go to Tokyo the day before
- 1:20:15and try and stalk him after the weigh -in. I
- 1:20:19might get a... Can you go to the weigh -in? They
- 1:20:24charge for that here. It's not super expensive,
- 1:20:29but I would have to pay. It's also, I would have
- 1:20:35to leave work early on Friday. So, I probably
- 1:20:39won't. But what's his nickname? Because it's
- 1:20:44Spanish and I'll say it wrong. It's the Japanese
- 1:20:47Firework. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I want you to
- 1:20:50say it because I think it's cute. Let me make
- 1:20:52sure I got it in the right order. El Cuete Japonesito.
- 1:20:57Japonesito is so cute. Yeah. I love it. The Little
- 1:21:02Japanese Firework. It's such a great nickname.
- 1:21:08Yeah, for a dude at 118. It's very fitting. Jose
- 1:21:13Calderon's also a fun fighter. Is he? I've never
- 1:21:16seen him before. Yeah, he got beat by Masuda.
- 1:21:22Oh, that Masuda. On one of the cards, yeah. The
- 1:21:25one that fucking destroyed Donair. Yeah. But
- 1:21:31he's fun. Like, it should be fireworks. Literally.
- 1:21:40Excellent. Excellent usage there. Moving up.
- 1:21:45Kyosuke Takami versus Angel Lardisapal. Don't
- 1:21:52know who these guys are. That's a flyweight fight.
- 1:21:55Takami is the one I have a t -shirt. His nickname
- 1:22:00is the Silent Bomb. It's got a ninja on it. I
- 1:22:04like Takami. Tomoya Suboi. Versus Pedro Guevara.
- 1:22:16I'm excited for this one because I like Suboi.
- 1:22:18I know he's old and started really late, but
- 1:22:22I think he's really good. Are you excited for
- 1:22:29Tenshin Nasukawa? No. Versus Juan Francisco Estrada.
- 1:22:37I'm so excited to see El Gallo in person. I am
- 1:22:41so excited for Estrada. He's been my favorite
- 1:22:46fighter pretty much since I started watching
- 1:22:48boxing. Intently watching. He's been my favorite.
- 1:22:53I want him to win because he's been my favorite
- 1:22:59for the longest time. But at the same time, if
- 1:23:02he does pass the torch here, I'm not... Too fussed,
- 1:23:07personally? Personally. I'm going to be pissed.
- 1:23:10Of course, of course. I want Estrada to fucking
- 1:23:17shut tension off. Like, I want a knockout so
- 1:23:22badly. I've been to three different shrines asking
- 1:23:25for a knockout. Well, you've been, like, asking
- 1:23:30for tension to be shut off. That's like standard
- 1:23:35for every single one of his fights. That's what
- 1:23:37you want. It hasn't happened yet. But Estrada
- 1:23:41still has the power. He can do it. He does have
- 1:23:44the power. I want to see tension knocked out
- 1:23:48so badly. I've even been hitting up the Mexicans
- 1:23:54in chat to go to church and pray for it. Asus
- 1:23:58promised me he would ask for a knockout. Oh,
- 1:24:02for the Holy Week? Yeah, like, it's Easter, right?
- 1:24:07It is, yes. Yeah, yeah. He said he was going
- 1:24:10for some special Easter mass, and I was like,
- 1:24:13can you please ask for a knockout? Light a voltive
- 1:24:18for... Yeah. Yeah. Do some Catholic voodoo stuff.
- 1:24:25Catholic magic? Moving on to Gold Star on Netflix.
- 1:24:37The fuck is Gold Star? I don't know, but they're
- 1:24:40getting their hands into the boxing. From the
- 1:24:46bottom up, I'm not going to stop on everything,
- 1:24:48but Sultan al -Muhammad, he's a Saudi plant.
- 1:24:52He's facing Hector Avila Lozano. So there's that.
- 1:24:59Felix Cash. I recognize that name just because
- 1:25:03it's Cash. But he's fighting Liam O 'Hare. Justice
- 1:25:09Hooney is facing Frazier Clark. So we'll see
- 1:25:14if Frazier can do better than Fabio Wardley did.
- 1:25:22Yeah. Troy Williamson versus Simon Zakenhuber.
- 1:25:28at super middleweight conor ben versus regis
- 1:25:34progray that's a 15 million dollar fight not
- 1:25:39even the co -main i think it is the co -main
- 1:25:42i just have him in the wrong order uh uh jamie
- 1:25:47chikella i think i've got that right versus richard
- 1:25:53richard react pory That's actually not... Like,
- 1:25:57for where these guys are at, it's not a bad fight.
- 1:26:01Yeah, this is a pretty good matchup, actually.
- 1:26:03Yeah. And then Tyson Fury versus Arslanbek Makhmudov.
- 1:26:10Boo. I do not care about this fight at all. Yeah,
- 1:26:15I don't really care that much about this card.
- 1:26:18Well, that's not true. I do care about the Justice
- 1:26:21Huni fight. I want... I will go light a candle
- 1:26:28for fucking Regis Progre. That would be fucking
- 1:26:34hilarious. That would just tickle my fucking
- 1:26:37pickle so much if Regis Progre were to beat Connor
- 1:26:42Ben. I'm using all my magic on the other card,
- 1:26:46but that would be great. This is not going to
- 1:26:52convince me to get Netflix again. But if Netflix
- 1:26:56starts having consistent boxing, perhaps. Perhaps
- 1:27:03Leo can oblige. I am sure I have friends with
- 1:27:10Netflix. Let's move on. Last thing. Pro box.
- 1:27:18At the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. I don't
- 1:27:25see anything on this card that stands out to
- 1:27:28me. It's just Vito Milnicki versus Omar Ulysses
- 1:27:32Huerta in the main event. That's pretty much
- 1:27:37it. That's pretty one -sided, too. Milnicki has
- 1:27:41like three sanctioning body trinkets. versus
- 1:27:46a guy that's 177th on BoxRec. There's just one
- 1:27:54name I want to point out because I think it's
- 1:27:56hilarious because I misread it on the poster.
- 1:27:59So it's Diane Butt. But I misread the N for an
- 1:28:05M and it's like, Damn, Butt. Well, we are heading
- 1:28:12into a pretty nice weekend. We got Eye of the
- 1:28:15Tiger. We got Oslis finally being coronated.
- 1:28:19We got Semba Tar on Friday. And then we've got
- 1:28:24a nice little Saturday. You're going to be busy
- 1:28:27on this Saturday, actually. Yeah, yeah. This
- 1:28:31might be a no sleep Saturday. Shit. So then,
- 1:28:35as we head into this no sleep weekend, parting
- 1:28:39words. If you dink, if you dink, if you drink,
- 1:28:46don't drive, use your Chevrolegs. That's my parting
- 1:28:50words. I would say try your Fitsubishi. There's
- 1:28:58another one that I don't like. It's a, use your
- 1:29:01Toyotas. Ah, that, yeah. It's a little, it's
- 1:29:06a little bit of a harder fit, but. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:10Lamb Graffiti's is also pretty fun. Lamb Graffiti's
- 1:29:12is... That was my favorite when I was in. But...
- 1:29:18Oh, shit. Man, we had like 30 fucking minutes
- 1:29:22of Patreon time. Do you wonder what we talk about?
- 1:29:28Maybe we do drugs. Who knows? You'll have to
- 1:29:33find out. But that's it for this edition of Boxing
- 1:29:36Before Dark. Shanada, my batteries are getting
- 1:29:39low. And it is getting dark. God damn. We'll
- 1:29:44see you on the other side.
