- 0:29Speaker 1: Welcome back to money Making Conversation masterclass. My guess I've
- 0:32Speaker 1: been knowing a long time and you know an inspiring person.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Her name is Melanie. Doctor Melanie mac clean, effectionally known
- 0:40Speaker 1: as doctor mac. It's a celebrity dermatologist. You know, everybody
- 0:44Speaker 1: knows I love my skin, and everybody also knows I've
- 0:48Speaker 1: never known how to really take care of it. After
- 0:49Speaker 1: so many dermatologists told me, Risha, stop that you don't
- 0:53Speaker 1: know what you're doing, well, she's gonna tell me again today.
- 0:55Speaker 1: She founded the natural hair product development company Innovative Hair
- 0:58Speaker 1: Technology and nineteen ninety nine the same year, Doctor Mack
- 1:01Speaker 1: was the pioneer for branding Viscicale science based IAIR supplement
- 1:06Speaker 1: into the US from findom. She advanced that farmer to
- 1:09Speaker 1: bella newtree for women in two thousand and four and
- 1:12Speaker 1: bella newtrial for men in two thousand and eight. She
- 1:15Speaker 1: also develops products for other celebrities and beauty companies. Her
- 1:19Speaker 1: Ask Doctor mac segments are celebrating twenty five years of
- 1:22Speaker 1: free tips without health insurance and no dollars for dermatologytologist
- 1:28Speaker 1: office visits. Please welcome to money making Conversations. I'm gonna
- 1:31Speaker 1: stick with her brand. Please welcome to the money Making
- 1:33Speaker 1: Conversation Masterclass, Doctor Mack. How you doing, Doctor mac Hey?
- 1:38Speaker 3: I love you, I love you and yes, doctor mac
- 1:42Speaker 3: is finally back after five years, and you are the
- 1:45Speaker 3: first person that I granted this interview to. I love
- 1:48Speaker 3: you well.
- 1:48Speaker 1: You know, first of all, you know I've been trying
- 1:50Speaker 1: to drag you up. You know, You've been trying to
- 1:54Speaker 1: motivate me where you at, where you at. Let me
- 1:56Speaker 1: just tell you a little bit about this person. I know,
- 1:58Speaker 1: she you know, you know, you know, you know this
- 2:01Speaker 1: is a good conversation because of you know, family, of
- 2:04Speaker 1: being a parent, how you can like put your career
- 2:08Speaker 1: on hold. And so that's why I thought she was important. Levison,
- 2:10Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about hair and skin and all that,
- 2:13Speaker 1: but I also want to hear the women talk about
- 2:15Speaker 1: how you get back in the game, how you got
- 2:17Speaker 1: you get back, because sometimes you don't know how to
- 2:20Speaker 1: It's like jumping rope. You don't know how to jump rope,
- 2:22Speaker 1: you know, cause you be waiting it's my turn. You
- 2:24Speaker 1: don't wan to rope to hitch up side of the
- 2:25Speaker 1: head or jump in too quick and you trip and
- 2:27Speaker 1: fall and bust your head. And so so you were
- 2:31Speaker 1: like in two thousand and nine, which I would like
- 2:32Speaker 1: to say was kind of like the peak for her,
- 2:34Speaker 1: because after that she didn't know how to accept opportunities.
- 2:38Speaker 1: When that movie Good Hair was hosted by Chris Rock,
- 2:42Speaker 1: she was featured in it prominently. And that was at
- 2:45Speaker 1: the time, you know, Bella was going strong for men,
- 2:48Speaker 1: Like I said, Luncher in two thousand and four, two
- 2:50Speaker 1: thousand and eight came out there for women and men.
- 2:53Speaker 1: She had both brands ruling two thousand and nine. At
- 2:56Speaker 1: that point, what happened mentally for you? Why did you
- 2:59Speaker 1: not take it to the next level.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Well, you know, Rashaan, you hit on a lot of topics,
- 3:06Speaker 3: and I am a mommy. First, I have two adorable
- 3:12Speaker 3: girl their teens. One is a freshman at Howard at eighteen, Selena,
- 3:16Speaker 3: and then I have a graduating senior, Kayla. She's twenty one.
- 3:20Speaker 3: And I've been a dance mom for seventeen years, active
- 3:23Speaker 3: in that whole industry. It was important for me to
- 3:27Speaker 3: make sure that I am a mother, to cater to
- 3:29Speaker 3: my girls, to raise them like I was raised my mom,
- 3:34Speaker 3: Dr Watson. I have been doctor Watson for the last
- 3:37Speaker 3: five years. And I say that because in September of
- 3:41Speaker 3: twenty and eighteen, my mother had a major stroke and
- 3:44Speaker 3: I immediately had to fly to Chicago and I immediately
- 3:48Speaker 3: became doctor Watson. My mother was a prominent physician, pediatrician
- 3:52Speaker 3: in Chicago, was like the top one in Chicago, and
- 3:55Speaker 3: she has tons and tons of apartment complexes. I had
- 3:59Speaker 3: to be that doctor Watson, to be that warrior, to
- 4:03Speaker 3: continue our family legacy how it was supposed to be.
- 4:06Speaker 3: My mother is still in Lanta the Living, Thank the
- 4:09Speaker 3: Lord Jesus. I've moved her to a facility near my
- 4:12Speaker 3: brother who's a plastic surgeon in Saint Louis, doctor Melvin Macklin.
- 4:15Speaker 3: He takes care of my mother from a health perspective.
- 4:18Speaker 3: She's safe and sound. I'm back, Rashaan. My mother is
- 4:22Speaker 3: ninety four years old as of August twenty sixth, just
- 4:26Speaker 3: the other month. So as I sit back and reflect
- 4:29Speaker 3: on all that I've had to do for her, to
- 4:31Speaker 3: make sure that all the stuff that she's done, all
- 4:34Speaker 3: the legacy building and the pouring into making sure that
- 4:37Speaker 3: me and my brother are doctors. We have nine doctors
- 4:40Speaker 3: in our family, so it's very important to me to
- 4:42Speaker 3: continue as much as that. So doctor Mac is back, Rashaan,
- 4:47Speaker 3: I'm back, stawr that ever listen in my house, you
- 4:51Speaker 3: know two thousand and seven, absolutely, that opportunity.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Absolutely and I met you, mam. I know she's the
- 4:56Speaker 1: coolest e So you eat a person that age, you know,
- 4:59Speaker 1: I'm sick. So I know what your mom was. It is. Yeah,
- 5:04Speaker 1: So she's ninety four. Now I got some work to
- 5:06Speaker 1: do because I because she was had to close the hat. Everything,
- 5:11Speaker 1: everything was working. When you walked in the house, you
- 5:13Speaker 1: knew a star, a star within the community. You have
- 5:16Speaker 1: to be a star with TV or sing a song
- 5:18Speaker 1: or sport a touchdown, just a star in life. That's
- 5:21Speaker 1: her mom. And so when people always look at me
- 5:24Speaker 1: to go re shine man, you don't look like your age,
- 5:26Speaker 1: I don't know what that means when they say that
- 5:28Speaker 1: I'm just living my life. I'm not afraid to tell
- 5:30Speaker 1: you how old. I am not afraid to tell you
- 5:32Speaker 1: what I'm trying to do because I got plans and
- 5:35Speaker 1: your mom always looked like she had plans. And I
- 5:38Speaker 1: think that's the inspiration behind who you are.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Correct, Oh, no, absolutely, because you know I preach outer
- 5:45Speaker 3: beauty is a reflection of an inner you. True beauty
- 5:48Speaker 3: begins with them. So for Hex since nineteen nine one,
- 5:52Speaker 3: I have been on my phone that you know, as
- 5:53Speaker 3: the medical director of Hype Air and all these different
- 5:56Speaker 3: other magazines, you know, helping us in our community that
- 6:00Speaker 3: not afford to go to a dermatologist, didn't have an
- 6:02Speaker 3: insurance of the like. But I needed to reach out
- 6:05Speaker 3: and touch us. And so it's about folks having issues
- 6:09Speaker 3: with their hair and skin Rashawan and they call crying,
- 6:12Speaker 3: but by the time that we get off the phone,
- 6:14Speaker 3: they laughing because I have beautified their brain. You understand,
- 6:17Speaker 3: we got to get the internal rights. I can fix
- 6:20Speaker 3: the external hey, we can get that right, but I
- 6:23Speaker 3: got to get the brain right. And I just heard
- 6:25Speaker 3: your segment probably when you're just talking about the stress
- 6:27Speaker 3: and the mental wellness that is so critical, and it
- 6:31Speaker 3: is even more critical in today's time because we've been
- 6:33Speaker 3: through a pandemic and we're still going through pandemics and epidemics.
- 6:37Speaker 3: But guess what doctor Matt got folks back from hair
- 6:40Speaker 3: skin health. We can talk about cars, we can talk
- 6:42Speaker 3: about life, ass were talking about travel everything. And so
- 6:47Speaker 3: I feel good, Rashaan, because I'm just being honest. I
- 6:51Speaker 3: have been stressed over the last five years making sure
- 6:55Speaker 3: of taking care of my mother. You people probably wouldn't
- 6:58Speaker 3: know it, because you know, I'm not afraid to say
- 7:01Speaker 3: I might have been suffering in silence myself on certain cases.
- 7:04Speaker 3: But I have tons of great support. My husband Gary
- 7:07Speaker 3: is right there, is my manager by my side one
- 7:10Speaker 3: thousand percent. We've been together for thirty years, married for
- 7:13Speaker 3: twenty three April twenty twenty second of this year, with
- 7:17Speaker 3: twenty three years, and so you know, we're blessed. And
- 7:20Speaker 3: so all I want to do with Shaan is bless
- 7:22Speaker 3: more people, and so as I sit back and reflect
- 7:25Speaker 3: back from five years ago, September of twenty eighteen, when
- 7:29Speaker 3: I became doctor Watson. I was like, look now I'm
- 7:32Speaker 3: re energized. I'm not distressed. I have the my girls
- 7:37Speaker 3: are safe and sound. Me and my husband, we're empty nesters.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Were about to get ready to try to travel the
- 7:41Speaker 3: world and all of these types of things. But it's
- 7:43Speaker 3: more important to reach out and touch our community. And
- 7:46Speaker 3: that's what I'm here for. And I thank you. I
- 7:48Speaker 3: still talk about this. It is Rashan McDonald's that came
- 7:52Speaker 3: in my house to interview me with his team. And
- 7:56Speaker 3: I stood behind my bar and this man stood in
- 7:59Speaker 3: front of me with looking clean and his black with
- 8:02Speaker 3: his black shades on y'all, and he said, who is
- 8:05Speaker 3: doctor Mack. I got to get you out of this basement. Yes,
- 8:08Speaker 3: you did that, and you did and I will never
- 8:11Speaker 3: forget that. And so I commend you on your platform
- 8:15Speaker 3: and what you've done to catapult your career even further.
- 8:19Speaker 3: But we've got a lot of work to do. Bloody.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Let's go okay, let's start with this.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I got the ship, all this stuff.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Let's talk about this in good hair, you know, because Stephen,
- 8:30Speaker 1: because because at the time Chris Rock was being comical
- 8:33Speaker 1: but also very serious, a very serious documentary because they
- 8:35Speaker 1: talk about you know, hair straighten and hair chemicals in
- 8:38Speaker 1: good hair. Yeah, and how women knowing we're talking about
- 8:42Speaker 1: black women knowing this was damaging their hair or affecting
- 8:46Speaker 1: them physically, didn't care. It was all about the look,
- 8:49Speaker 1: all about competition, always being that knowing the damage was done.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But you text me and I said, this is going
- 8:56Speaker 1: to be one of the strong topics on our doing
- 8:58Speaker 1: our interview today. Plans to propose band on hair straightening
- 9:04Speaker 1: chemical products linked to health risk. Let's talk about that.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Oh yes, I'm so glad. Let me tell you this
- 9:10Speaker 3: was perfect timing today because I was literally sitting at
- 9:13Speaker 3: my desk. My husband was yelling, like more money. Turn
- 9:16Speaker 3: on the television. They're talking about the FDAs you know,
- 9:18Speaker 3: about to ban these, you know, going through the policy
- 9:20Speaker 3: of banning hair straightening priests. I said, thanks the Lord Jesus,
- 9:23Speaker 3: because I have been preaching this topic, as you know,
- 9:26Speaker 3: for twenty five years. I have probably talked to over
- 9:30Speaker 3: a thousand folks personally from the magazines telling me about
- 9:33Speaker 3: their issues and telling me about their hair issues and
- 9:37Speaker 3: black women telling me they just finished chemotherapy for breast
- 9:40Speaker 3: cancer and uterine cancer and over I'm.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Like, they're going right in getting their hair straight, but
- 9:46Speaker 1: don't know that's right.
- 9:47Speaker 3: We are dying earlier, dying to be beautiful. Okay, that
- 9:52Speaker 3: is the message. And also my other message is this
- 9:54Speaker 3: calling all moms. Is it straight hair today or grandchildren tomorrow.
- 10:00Speaker 3: These hair chemicals have seeped into our scalp. The scalp
- 10:03Speaker 3: has a very rich blood supply rish on and that
- 10:06Speaker 3: is causing hormone disruption. Because people will say, well, doctor Mac,
- 10:10Speaker 3: you know putting some of my scalp, I have it
- 10:12Speaker 3: gonna affect my my uterism. I will tell you why.
- 10:15Speaker 3: The pathophysiology is this. The chemicals burn through the scalps
- 10:21Speaker 3: into the bloodstream and once it gets in the blood stream,
- 10:23Speaker 3: it's affecting the hormones. Rashawn. So when you know we
- 10:26Speaker 3: got early mensis and puberty before the age of ten,
- 10:30Speaker 3: We got big five roids growing in our uterus that
- 10:33Speaker 3: we can't even get pregnant. We got infertility because the
- 10:36Speaker 3: egg's not working, and we got early hysterectomy before forty
- 10:41Speaker 3: and women that have not even had children back in
- 10:44Speaker 3: the day pre nineteen seventy one, before the first lie
- 10:47Speaker 3: Relaxer came out with proline women. I'm mother's grandmothers. They
- 10:51Speaker 3: were having fifteen to twenty children, no problems. Now we
- 10:54Speaker 3: can't have one, savage That hurts my heart. I could
- 10:58Speaker 3: have I wished more media and listen to me years ago, Rashawn.
- 11:03Speaker 3: They didn't. People did not want to hear the truth.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I'm like when I took my Hippocratic oath at Howard
- 11:09Speaker 3: University Medical School graduation May of nineteen ninety nine, that
- 11:14Speaker 3: Friday of Mother's Day weekend, okay, and my mother and
- 11:17Speaker 3: my brother granted me my medical degree. The first Hippocratic
- 11:21Speaker 3: oth is first, do no harm. If I know something
- 11:24Speaker 3: as a medical doctor from Howard University that's doing harm
- 11:27Speaker 3: to our people, you dog on write, I'm gonna speak
- 11:30Speaker 3: about it, and I will shut anybody down that wants
- 11:32Speaker 3: to shut me up, because this is about protecting our health.
- 11:36Speaker 3: And so right now we're dealing with all of these
- 11:38Speaker 3: women that we could have saved, Rashan. It hurts my
- 11:41Speaker 3: heart to know how many of us women of color
- 11:44Speaker 3: that have passed on of breast cancer.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Because I'm let me give you some statute. Then let
- 11:48Speaker 1: me give it to listen to some status harm on
- 11:50Speaker 1: the related cancers, including, like you said, ovarian and breast cancer,
- 11:54Speaker 1: particular black and Latino women. This is what's gonna get
- 11:57Speaker 1: you mad. Fifty of these products advertised to Black and
- 12:02Speaker 1: Latino women contain this element that's causing the ovarian and
- 12:07Speaker 1: breast cancer, compared to seven percent of these products sold
- 12:13Speaker 1: the white women.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yes, wow, wow, astounding, right, astounding.
- 12:18Speaker 1: That's scary. That's scary. That's the truth. That's the truth.
- 12:21Speaker 1: But you know, when you did good Hair, they talked
- 12:26Speaker 1: about this, They talked about this, and on air they
- 12:30Speaker 1: talked to black women and they ignored it. They didn't care.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Yes they did, but I had to. I had to
- 12:36Speaker 3: commend you, Ra, Shan and Steve because it was I
- 12:40Speaker 3: was on the way back from BLS doing your show
- 12:44Speaker 3: that morning and Gary were on the train and my
- 12:47Speaker 3: mother was taking my toll free phone calls and she
- 12:50Speaker 3: called me and said, you had you just She's like,
- 12:52Speaker 3: this is is She just got a call from HBO
- 12:54Speaker 3: about some hair movie. And I was like, well, I
- 12:57Speaker 3: decided to go to Hollywood, but I can do it.
- 13:00Speaker 3: And so I called this producer Jenny hunter with her name,
- 13:04Speaker 3: and I said, look, i'll be off this train in
- 13:06Speaker 3: two hours. I'll be at my home. And when I
- 13:09Speaker 3: got home, we had a three hour interview and within
- 13:12Speaker 3: twenty four hours she says, Chris wants to meet with
- 13:14Speaker 3: you to do a full interview. Got to New York.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Me and Chris talked for about four hours, from soup
- 13:19Speaker 3: to nuts, everything on hair and the average hair effect. Now,
- 13:22Speaker 3: he said he had interviewed other dermatoism hair experts to
- 13:26Speaker 3: talk in the movie already. They had actually shut down
- 13:28Speaker 3: the interviews Rashaan, but they when Chris heard me that morning,
- 13:32Speaker 3: he said, find her because she sang what I want
- 13:35Speaker 3: her to say and emphasize, and that's keeping relaxus off
- 13:40Speaker 3: of our little girl's hair. Because he had two daughters
- 13:43Speaker 3: and he didn't want his wife to put relaxes in
- 13:45Speaker 3: his daughter's hair. And that is how I got the opportunity,
- 13:48Speaker 3: because I say, keep those chemicals off of my baby's hair.
- 13:52Speaker 3: My baby's all the babies and my babies because I'm
- 13:55Speaker 3: protecting the kids. Matter of fact, when kids are sitting
- 13:57Speaker 3: there and getting chemicals rashon and they're they're telling their
- 14:02Speaker 3: mom or the size my scalp is burning. Yes, almost abuse,
- 14:06Speaker 3: child abuse really if you want.
- 14:08Speaker 1: To think about it, because they talk about how young
- 14:10Speaker 1: some people we're gonna go to break. But we were
- 14:12Speaker 1: right back with doctor Max. She on fire. Todate everybody.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Doctor Max's on fire. She's she's back. You know, the
- 14:18Speaker 1: Mac is back. I know and I appreciate you. Be
- 14:23Speaker 1: right back with more Money Making Conversation Masterclass. Ask doctor Mac.
- 14:34Speaker 4: We'll be right back with more money Making Conversations Masterclass
- 14:37Speaker 4: with Rushaan McDonald.
- 14:39Speaker 1: HBCUs represent Black Excellence.
- 14:42Speaker 5: If you attend or are an alumnus of an HBCU,
- 14:45Speaker 5: we want to hear about your story. The My HBCU
- 14:48Speaker 5: Story Digital Library will allow current HBCU students and alumni
- 14:53Speaker 5: to share their stories. More information is available at HBCU

- 15:00Speaker 5: photo can be recent or from when you attended your HBCU.
- 15:04Speaker 5: More information is available at HBCU College day dot com.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Now let's return to Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rashawn McDonald.
- 15:14Speaker 1: How you look, how you think, and how you live,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you know, especially in the world of women, is very
- 15:20Speaker 1: important and so as an entrepreneurs. As a forty hour
- 15:23Speaker 1: week person as a mom. This information that we're sharing
- 15:26Speaker 1: is important because it can impact not only your life
- 15:29Speaker 1: currently but your future. And so, doctor Mack, when you
- 15:32Speaker 1: know when I talk about her, the sincerity of her,
- 15:36Speaker 1: you know, she blows my mind. I mean, because she
- 15:38Speaker 1: had an opportunity to be one of the co hosts
- 15:41Speaker 1: on The Doctors Correct Doctor.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Man to fill in his office. He says, please come
- 15:48Speaker 3: be with us, and I ended up doing looking at
- 15:51Speaker 3: the Scout before I left. We it was a lovely
- 15:54Speaker 3: visit and I just said, I couldn't be I'm a
- 15:56Speaker 3: mom first for Shawn. I couldn't be way over in
- 15:59Speaker 3: California a twenty thirteen being there and I still had
- 16:04Speaker 3: baby and had I had to say thank you, but
- 16:07Speaker 3: no thank you, and we had a big hug and
- 16:09Speaker 3: I said, I'll be back though, I'll be back.
- 16:12Speaker 1: That's why, you know, that's why, that's why she's important
- 16:15Speaker 1: to me, because of the fact that you know, you've
- 16:18Speaker 1: walked away from opportunities some people might call dream jobs.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Everybody prayed for these opportunities, and not saying that you
- 16:24Speaker 1: didn't pray for them, not saying that you but you
- 16:27Speaker 1: had your responsibility somewhere else. Your priority somewhere else, and
- 16:30Speaker 1: you see the blessings of it because your daughter graduating
- 16:32Speaker 1: from college and the other thought about to go to college.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Whatships by the way, at Howard University.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Absolutely she had dance mall. You know, we talked about
- 16:41Speaker 1: so many things, but more importantly we always talked about
- 16:44Speaker 1: multiple streams of income. That's what she and I always
- 16:47Speaker 1: talk about that. Now you have another pattern on the
- 16:50Speaker 1: device concussion device.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, so five years I have not been doing anything.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I've been behind the scenes, and this major Rashaan concussions
- 17:02Speaker 3: is a major deal of all ages on anyone that
- 17:06Speaker 3: plays impact sports as well as the military. I partner
- 17:10Speaker 3: up with doctor Edward Williams, a African American male dentist
- 17:15Speaker 3: based out of Philly, has over forty years of research
- 17:17Speaker 3: and discovery behind why the majority of concussions happen and
- 17:23Speaker 3: it's at the jaw joint. Hence he's a dentist and
- 17:27Speaker 3: he's in everybody's mouth. He was able to use a
- 17:29Speaker 3: specialized CP scan to look as a size view and
- 17:34Speaker 3: look at the base of the brain where the jaw
- 17:36Speaker 3: joint is and that little thin bone that's above the
- 17:40Speaker 3: above the ear that's that fractures and you're not able
- 17:45Speaker 3: to see that on the basic film. This man is brilliant.
- 17:48Speaker 3: It's a multi twenty two year ironclad, multi patented concussion
- 17:54Speaker 3: prevention mouthguard. We're launching that in a major way. I'm
- 17:57Speaker 3: the vice president of Sports, Military, Harry and Entertainment. I've
- 18:02Speaker 3: got tons of I mean, this is just amazing. Uh.
- 18:06Speaker 3: And the mouthguard actually locks the lower jaw forward and
- 18:11Speaker 3: so that it prevented from slamming back up into the
- 18:14Speaker 3: jaw joint into the base of the brain. We're healing,
- 18:17Speaker 3: he can heal, I can get he actually can heal.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Make a customized unit for people that can heal heal
- 18:25Speaker 3: the those areas. But this is an actual retail piece
- 18:29Speaker 3: that will actually be available, you know, worldwide starting in
- 18:34Speaker 3: twenty twenty four.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Uh.
- 18:36Speaker 3: And we're just gonna We're gonna be protecting brains. We're
- 18:38Speaker 3: gonna be protecting these children that are playing impact sports
- 18:42Speaker 3: for Sewan and people that are actively playing in the
- 18:45Speaker 3: n NBA, NFL, NHL. I mean, this is soccer. This
- 18:50Speaker 3: is major. And I am his business partner and I've
- 18:53Speaker 3: kept this close to the chest. I've been with him
- 18:56Speaker 3: since twenty seventeen and we're doing a lot for Shawn
- 18:59Speaker 3: and you going with me to well, you know, I think.
- 19:02Speaker 1: That because you know, I'm a marketing and branding expert.
- 19:04Speaker 1: That's what I do. Now, let's let's talk about because
- 19:06Speaker 1: see I brought that up because of the fact that
- 19:09Speaker 1: you know, jarring and some people they need off guards
- 19:13Speaker 1: when they sleep too, you know, because the right grind
- 19:19Speaker 1: their teeth. And so I say this because this is
- 19:21Speaker 1: not just for men. Because if you know, since Title
- 19:25Speaker 1: nine allows women to participate, and we also the events
- 19:29Speaker 1: be funded, and you're starting to see uh, women football
- 19:32Speaker 1: leagues coming out, women playing soccer. That's a jarring sport.
- 19:36Speaker 1: You know, anything that creates contact, you know, you know, softball,
- 19:41Speaker 1: all these sports when you're running. You know, it's like
- 19:44Speaker 1: it's like this young man Tank Dale that played for
- 19:47Speaker 1: the Texans, his head just hit the ground. I just say, like,
- 19:50Speaker 1: there's nothing but hit the ground. He didn't get tackled,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and he had a concussion his head just he told
- 19:56Speaker 1: for the ball. I thought he was all right. Then
- 19:58Speaker 1: the next thing he say, he can't come back in
- 19:59Speaker 1: the green because the Grand Game because he has a concussion.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Because these young people have been walking around because I'm
- 20:05Speaker 1: an older person. Back in the day, they just gave
- 20:07Speaker 1: you smelling salt. Send you back in the game. You
- 20:09Speaker 1: all right, slap you around, slap your head and helping
- 20:11Speaker 1: the coming side left and right. Send you back in
- 20:13Speaker 1: the game. Not knowing that these people were mentally dealing
- 20:17Speaker 1: with issues. Roger Stobach he had to give up football
- 20:20Speaker 1: because every time you looked up he was being concussion.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I think the same thing with Troy Aikman. All these
- 20:26Speaker 1: people were dealing with these Steve Young, these are famous
- 20:29Speaker 1: football players. These are the famous ones that doctors have
- 20:33Speaker 1: told to stop. We're not talking about your son and
- 20:36Speaker 1: junior high elementary who want to be in the NFL.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Because the NFL is not going anywhere. They playing in London,
- 20:41Speaker 1: they playing in Germany. Is a global sport and everybody
- 20:44Speaker 1: wants to be in the NFL. So this you can
- 20:46Speaker 1: tell that because guess what wide receivers are six foot five,
- 20:49Speaker 1: six foot seven. Nowadays, they're not even playing basketball all
- 20:52Speaker 1: the more, they going out there trying to play football.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And so with that being said, this mouthguard, a lock
- 20:59Speaker 1: of young person's often plays male and female and protect
- 21:02Speaker 1: them from concussions.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Correctly that's right, that's right, and we can because a
- 21:07Speaker 3: lot of think about this. If you have fracture on
- 21:09Speaker 3: any part of your body where you have a broken bone,
- 21:12Speaker 3: it's going to be chronically damaged and enflamed. Well, people
- 21:15Speaker 3: don't even realize the chronic fractures that are that are
- 21:19Speaker 3: at the base of a brain on anyone that has
- 21:22Speaker 3: played impact sports, and as long as that fracture is
- 21:26Speaker 3: not healed, Rashan is going to develop into chronic inflammatory
- 21:30Speaker 3: issues in the brain. Hence people hear about CTE, which
- 21:34Speaker 3: is chronic traumatic encephalopathy. So this is huge. We're protecting
- 21:39Speaker 3: our current and our future and we can and doctors
- 21:42Speaker 3: can actually heal He's treads the likes of Ali and
- 21:45Speaker 3: Hearns and all of these people. This is just phenomenal
- 21:48Speaker 3: discovery and I'm happy to call him my partner. And
- 21:52Speaker 3: this has been close to the chats for me. I
- 21:54Speaker 3: have not said a word. People are probably gonna be
- 21:56Speaker 3: shocked when they hear this come out of my mouth,
- 21:59Speaker 3: that Brian doctor back, I'm doing something that.
- 22:04Speaker 1: You're back now. You came on my show five years
- 22:07Speaker 1: hiatus and drug you out of the dungeon. That's from
- 22:10Speaker 1: Jarriet turyear and hide now tug Year, I got you
- 22:13Speaker 1: back out in the public.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Now. Look, my dimples will be fifty five next Friday,
- 22:18Speaker 3: October twenty seventh, and and so yeah, we we're doing
- 22:22Speaker 3: well this way, Rashawan. A lot of exciting things. You know.
- 22:25Speaker 3: I've stepped into the behind the scenes with the television
- 22:28Speaker 3: world is known and taking meetings regarding that my brilliant
- 22:32Speaker 3: baby doll, Lauren Shae Brian, she is the IT chick
- 22:37Speaker 3: and she doctor MACKI is making her that that is
- 22:39Speaker 3: my baby. We've got some brilliant projects just today, a
- 22:43Speaker 3: few minutes ago, getting words at a major meeting with
- 22:46Speaker 3: a major sports production. A lot of exciting things. And
- 22:50Speaker 3: you'll say the loop, you'll stand the loop.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I mean, I didn't bring you on this show so
- 22:55Speaker 1: I can stay Lottle. I brought you on the show
- 22:57Speaker 1: so I can get you back out in public and
- 22:58Speaker 1: start changing lives, so people can find you.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Because told me. See, you had my back right right
- 23:04Speaker 3: down the seven. Now I got your worst.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 23:06Speaker 3: We got a lot of work to do. I appreciate
- 23:08Speaker 3: marketing and branding. We've got my manager Antonio Michelle. He
- 23:12Speaker 3: he was HB. Howard a lung basketball player. That book
- 23:17Speaker 3: what follows will be a movie. Okay, imagine if the
- 23:21Speaker 3: five Fab five instead of going to PWY they went
- 23:25Speaker 3: to an HBCU. The book is absolutely phenomenal. Me and
- 23:28Speaker 3: Gary are behind it one thousand or six and that
- 23:30Speaker 3: will be a movie and you will be working with
- 23:33Speaker 3: us on that movie.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Okay, I thank you. Well, I would tell you the doc.
- 23:36Speaker 1: You know, once a quarter, now once a quarter. Can
- 23:38Speaker 1: I get you back on the show.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Oh yeah, anytime you want.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, cool, we will do that day. Just call
- 23:44Speaker 1: it ass doctor Mac.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Just ask doctor Mack. Doctor Mack got your back.

- 23:54Speaker 1: Please tell your mom. You know she probably don't remember me,
- 23:56Speaker 1: but before she made an impact on me. Your whole
- 23:59Speaker 1: family is a great for people to understand that you
- 24:02Speaker 1: can't give back. You can love your family and still
- 24:05Speaker 1: come back and have a career and keep winning. My friend.
