- 1:59Speaker 1: back at it? Uh huh, I sure will. Hey, good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I've been saying it like that since I got it, too.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I figured why I stop now. A lot of people
- 2:18Speaker 1: get bored with stuff that works for them because they
- 2:20Speaker 1: just want to do something different. Sometimes, man, repetition is good.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Sometimes repetition is good over and over and over until
- 2:30Speaker 1: it becomes second nature, and then it's almost like you
- 2:33Speaker 1: ain't doing it at all. That's what I found. That's
- 2:37Speaker 1: just a little piece of information. Y'all probably already know that.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Though sometimes I'm just a reminder. That's it, all right.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I gotta go one for you today. Yesterday, the other day,
- 2:46Speaker 1: I was talking to you about the most effective weapon
- 2:49Speaker 1: available to us as human beings, I think is prayer.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I think prayer helps us in so many ways. But
- 2:57Speaker 1: right now, what I wanna do is want to show
- 3:00Speaker 1: you how prayer pays off. I want I want to
- 3:03Speaker 1: show you what good it can do for you. Even me,
- 3:06Speaker 1: I use it every day, and and the days I
- 3:09Speaker 1: don't use it, I feel it that that, you know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: the days that I go, you know, without talking to
- 3:16Speaker 1: him as much, I notice it. I feel it. I
- 3:18Speaker 1: feel a certain kind of way, you know, those uh,
- 3:21Speaker 1: those that doubts starts slipping in again, that uneasy feeling
- 3:25Speaker 1: of uncertainty slips in again, That that wondering what I'm
- 3:29Speaker 1: gonna do start slipping in again. Happens to me, happens everybody, man,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I think, I really really do you know, people would
- 3:35Speaker 1: just keep it real with each other. Stop being this
- 3:39Speaker 1: Christian this superman, because you ain't. You ain't the scripture
- 3:44Speaker 1: that says that's none perfect, no not one, that's everybody,
- 3:51Speaker 1: that that that covered all of us, don't it? So
- 3:53Speaker 1: sometimes I think we're a little too hard on each
- 3:56Speaker 1: other with that too, seeing it's how we're not perfect.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Immediately want to just just oh man, you just want
- 4:03Speaker 1: to kill when we find somebody do something wrong. But
- 4:06Speaker 1: if you go public, everything go public now called social media.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But anyway, I just want to talk to you about
- 4:12Speaker 1: how prayer pays off. It's called all eye and money.
- 4:18Speaker 1: People got money call it all eyes a return on investment.
- 4:21Speaker 1: People always looking for a return on investment. You know, nobody,
- 4:25Speaker 1: nobody in business really gives you money without understanding the
- 4:29Speaker 1: return on investment. They don't even give money to charities
- 4:33Speaker 1: unless they think it can do something with the bottom line.
- 4:36Speaker 1: A lot of companies work like that. I found out
- 4:39Speaker 1: out myself. Sad, but it is true. So since everything
- 4:43Speaker 1: is expected to work on a return on investment, assume
- 4:47Speaker 1: because we're human beings. So since we're all human beings,
- 4:49Speaker 1: whether you're in business or not, you're still in the
- 4:54Speaker 1: business of living. I think when you pray, you should
- 4:58Speaker 1: expect a return on your investment. You talked to him,
- 5:04Speaker 1: you spend time opening up to him, You bowed your
- 5:08Speaker 1: head to him, you humbled yourself, you got on your knees.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I mean, but really we're talking God here, so really,
- 5:15Speaker 1: what you're doing ain't really about nothing. Be honest with you.
- 5:18Speaker 1: A little bit that you do do on his behalf.
- 5:21Speaker 1: It it just pales in comparison with what he does.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But let's just say you want to call yourself invested, Well,
- 5:28Speaker 1: let me show you how it pays off this because see,
- 5:31Speaker 1: for me, this is for me. Now, pray pays off
- 5:34Speaker 1: in different ways. That's what I had to learn. See,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I was praying, but I was asking him specifically for
- 5:40Speaker 1: what I wanted. I had the audacity, though, to turn
- 5:44Speaker 1: around and tell him how to do what I wanted.
- 5:47Speaker 1: That's amazing. Man. I can't tell you how many blessings
- 5:50Speaker 1: I blocked coming my way by putting my faith in
- 5:54Speaker 1: what I said I wanted and how I wanted him
- 5:56Speaker 1: to do it. I want you to give me this.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I want that person to go away. I want this
- 6:03Speaker 1: person to accept everything you say. Then I want to
- 6:06Speaker 1: go over here, and I want this deal to happen
- 6:09Speaker 1: like this, And I want that person to just step
- 6:11Speaker 1: aside and let me let me through. And then I
- 6:14Speaker 1: wanted I was I hadn't mapped out. God must have
- 6:18Speaker 1: been chuckling really hard. He had been going, boy, I
- 6:21Speaker 1: made you to be funny. But boy, you're funny now.
- 6:23Speaker 1: So you're gonna tell me how to do it. And
- 6:25Speaker 1: you've all heard this right here. If you want to
- 6:27Speaker 1: make God laugh telling me your plan, well that's what
- 6:30Speaker 1: I did. And that's how we pray. A lot of
- 6:32Speaker 1: times we pray, and we pray in the prayer with
- 6:36Speaker 1: telling him how to work it out. Well, here's the deal.
- 6:40Speaker 1: This is what I've learned. Prayer pays off in different ways.
- 6:44Speaker 1: There's a different return of my investment when I pray. See,
- 6:48Speaker 1: sometimes when I'm praying for something, a situation to dissolve
- 6:53Speaker 1: itself or go away, sometimes I get courage out of
- 6:58Speaker 1: the prayer. Prayer provide as me courage. That's just to
- 7:03Speaker 1: go on and look at it. I guess face it. Then.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Sometimes when I'm praying about a situation, sometimes prayer gives
- 7:14Speaker 1: me hanging power. Sometimes, man, it just I look up
- 7:18Speaker 1: and I'm just handling it better. Sometimes prayer gives you
- 7:22Speaker 1: laugh at off power. Sometimes, man, you just got to
- 7:26Speaker 1: laugh at off whatever. Man, you trip it, do you
- 7:33Speaker 1: know what that is? If you could do that, you know,
- 7:37Speaker 1: Sometimes it gives it gives you a show of strength, power.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Sometimes prayer allows you to have the appearance that you
- 7:46Speaker 1: got it all together. Nobody got to know the world.
- 7:50Speaker 1: When the tornado, the hurricane, the swirling in your life,
- 7:55Speaker 1: you're standing over there like the eye of hericane. You
- 7:57Speaker 1: just and it's all swirling around you. But you standing
- 8:00Speaker 1: there like the eye, you just as calm. That's what
- 8:02Speaker 1: prayer does. So when you pray, man, it builds up
- 8:07Speaker 1: a lot of things in you. You know what it's
- 8:09Speaker 1: done for me. Prayer has built up character in me.
- 8:12Speaker 1: It's made me have more character because I'm able to
- 8:16Speaker 1: stand stronger on the things I say because I've been praying,
- 8:20Speaker 1: because I've been asking God for all of those return
- 8:23Speaker 1: of investments. I've been asking God for courage. I've been
- 8:27Speaker 1: asking God for hanging that power. I've been asking him
- 8:30Speaker 1: to give me the power to walk away. I've asked
- 8:32Speaker 1: him to give me ignored power. I've asked to help
- 8:35Speaker 1: me laugh at off. I've asked him to show me straight.
- 8:38Speaker 1: But you know what I was doing, I was really praying,
- 8:40Speaker 1: not really for them things be real with you. I
- 8:43Speaker 1: was asking them to help me, Lord, help me. You
- 8:46Speaker 1: ever done that? You have asked God for help and
- 8:48Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, the list of these things
- 8:50Speaker 1: show up. See, sometimes how you want the problem to
- 8:53Speaker 1: be solved ain't the best way. There's a lesson to
- 8:56Speaker 1: be learned when we make mistakes. And sometimes you got
- 8:59Speaker 1: to stay in that fire and you gotta learn that lesson.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But guess what, though, when you come out of it,
- 9:05Speaker 1: you're gonna be better for it. You're gonna know more
- 9:07Speaker 1: about it. Come on, y'all, pray. Ain't nothing wrong with it?
- 9:11Speaker 1: You didn't tried everything else. Look where you're at now?
- 9:14Speaker 1: What about prayer? Yew? People kill me? Man trying to
- 9:17Speaker 1: talk me off this hustle right here. God ain't this,
- 9:20Speaker 1: and God ain't You're on? They're on. The Lord left me.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Lord don't leave no body man. Look at your decisions.
- 9:26Speaker 1: God has never left you. You turned your back, you
- 9:29Speaker 1: went the other way, You tried something else, You you you, you,
- 9:33Speaker 1: you took another swing, You win another route. You look
- 9:36Speaker 1: for an alternative solution. That was you. That ain't never him.
- 9:39Speaker 1: He's solid, His word is true, It lasts forever. He
- 9:42Speaker 1: do what he said, gonna do now all day, all night,
- 9:47Speaker 1: twenty four seven height, he do it all day, all night,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and then some more his word, don't ever change. It's true.
- 9:55Speaker 1: It works for me. It worked for you. It worked
- 9:59Speaker 1: for Jake's It worked for Old Steam, It worked for
- 10:02Speaker 1: Kirk Franklin, It worked for Paula White, It worked for
- 10:06Speaker 1: Billy Graham. It worked for Mother Teresa. It worked for Gandhi,
- 10:11Speaker 1: It worked for Princess Arabs. It worked, man, it worked
- 10:16Speaker 1: for you. What you're waiting for? Why don't you put
- 10:20Speaker 1: praying your game? Watch what happened to you? You're sitting
- 10:23Speaker 1: in that jail cell and you're struggling with it, and
- 10:25Speaker 1: they're telling you bloody and blood out, you can't get
- 10:28Speaker 1: in you. That's foolishness, man, What you mean God can
- 10:31Speaker 1: get you out of anything. Look, man, if you hadn't
- 10:34Speaker 1: read your Bible, he didn't got some people out some
- 10:36Speaker 1: sticky situations. I don't know what you're talking about. If
- 10:39Speaker 1: Daniel was in the lions den and Jonah was in
- 10:41Speaker 1: the belly of the whale, what you're talking about? Where
- 10:43Speaker 1: you are? You just sitting in the sale with some
- 10:45Speaker 1: dudes around. You're talking about what they're gonna do. Man,
- 10:47Speaker 1: you gotta be real. God can't nothing do nothing. Nobody,
- 10:50Speaker 1: can't nobody do nothing to you? God won't give you
- 10:53Speaker 1: to strift to handle. Prayer changes things. Man, you're listening out,
- 11:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, boys and people. Do anybody listen to me?
- 11:09Speaker 1: You're about to witness what's called mayhem, organized people help
- 11:17Speaker 1: people missing, coming going walking out. It's just just crazies
- 11:24Speaker 1: and all listen people coming back. Yeah, just got to
- 11:27Speaker 1: do with management and on the shield. Just seem like,
- 11:31Speaker 1: don't nobody give a damn. We got to stop. All
- 11:35Speaker 1: is not caring, nothing to laugh about. This is nothing about. Hey,
- 11:41Speaker 1: you can't stop it from being mayhem. This is nothing
- 11:44Speaker 1: to laugh about. This is serious. This is our livelihood.
- 11:48Speaker 1: So well you don't act like it. You act like it.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'm see right there, right there, right there, called up.
- 12:00Speaker 1: We have told you, see right there what I tell you?
- 12:04Speaker 1: I have told you. Why is she junior? Morning? Up? Jay?
- 12:10Speaker 1: What I'm Steve him back? Man you Tommy, he's out too.
- 12:15Speaker 1: He went to the store across the streets. He went
- 12:17Speaker 1: to the stone man. We sent him to the store
- 12:21Speaker 1: going to the stones early in the morning. There ain't
- 12:25Speaker 1: no stones on the weight from his house to hire.
- 12:28Speaker 1: He had to get a loaf of bread, a gallon
- 12:30Speaker 1: of milk, get on the mic and get it a
- 12:33Speaker 1: little lass up. Now he's trying to cross your street
- 12:35Speaker 1: at traffic, a dozen eggs in a pound of bacon
- 12:38Speaker 1: with his little anything left, getting someplace here, right and
- 12:46Speaker 1: bring back my chain in good show down strange man,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and I'm gonna read my receipts and count. Yeah. Well
- 12:56Speaker 1: Jay's back, Steve, He's that's a whole another story. Yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 1: he spent the last month or so. I've never seen
- 13:04Speaker 1: nobody going to see his daughter get crowned as principal
- 13:09Speaker 1: queen down in the country. That's such a big you know,
- 13:12Speaker 1: here's a six day event. Yeah, evidently it is. They
- 13:18Speaker 1: made her principal Queen of corn shucking. She's the principal.
- 13:25Speaker 1: She had to ride around the whole town on the
- 13:27Speaker 1: Shetland Pony, the principle of the thing. That's what it was.
- 13:34Speaker 1: He'd been gone so many damn times, Junior said. She
- 13:37Speaker 1: got promoted. What took him so long? He was She
- 13:39Speaker 1: went from principal of superintendent in two days. The girl small,
- 13:44Speaker 1: the nephews back with our stuff. Always needs something going
- 13:55Speaker 1: to the stow the middle of the damn show. Crazy,
- 13:59Speaker 1: We got thirsty taking care of him. Girls that's my
- 14:04Speaker 1: life story. What's happening the good morning? I like that
- 14:09Speaker 1: attempt though, good morning, Good morning. We'll be back talking
- 14:13Speaker 1: about you and Jay right at No, Yeah, you got
- 14:19Speaker 1: here too. They've been going six days watching his daughter
- 14:23Speaker 1: walk cross. I don't know what side of that she's
- 14:25Speaker 1: going over there and get the principal. A lot of
- 14:27Speaker 1: pomp and a lot of circumstances. All right, we're coming
- 14:32Speaker 1: back with something funny right after this. The guys are
- 14:36Speaker 1: back together the band. Yeah, we'll be back at thirty
- 14:40Speaker 1: two after the hour. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:46Speaker 1: All right, guys, it is time for something funny. Good
- 14:49Speaker 1: to have the band all back together again. Championship. Yeah
- 14:55Speaker 1: to my daughter who became a princi Boa what Steve
- 14:59Speaker 1: sa and it was so long she became the dean.
- 15:05Speaker 1: How long was the ceremony? Yeah, because that's about how
- 15:12Speaker 1: long he's been gone. You left in the April, it's
- 15:16Speaker 1: come back in the whole new month. How wasn't ja?
- 15:20Speaker 1: It was very very I cried, It was very touching.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Did you become a principal? Am? Yes? I did? You?
- 15:31Speaker 1: Did you speak on her behalf for it? And I
- 15:33Speaker 1: didn't have to speak. Okay, Now, you know I'm on
- 15:38Speaker 1: you know I'm on J team. You know, yes, you know,
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'm team jam and your team Tommy. But you know,
- 15:44Speaker 1: it's kind of funny that you was gone at the
- 15:47Speaker 1: same time the cruise was going on. You know, that's
- 15:49Speaker 1: just amazing. You just got smooth busted J. I'm team J.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I'm but he just had to be going on the
- 16:02Speaker 1: seat time the cruise was going on. Man, did you
- 16:06Speaker 1: hear this? You hear this? State? You know I'm sitting
- 16:10Speaker 1: up here squinting. Yeah, did you go back over there?
- 16:17Speaker 1: How you started laughing? Did you swim back and that?
- 16:20Speaker 1: What took so long? Jay? Whatever? Well, first of all,
- 16:23Speaker 1: we need to check if if his daughter is really
- 16:25Speaker 1: the principal. What happen? Boy, it just didn't take his
- 16:33Speaker 1: long found out he was on board because I hope
- 16:42Speaker 1: she is. I believe that she is. But it's a
- 16:43Speaker 1: great excuse to get out of work. Yeah, yeah, she
- 16:49Speaker 1: is a principal. You can't say it right. What's wrong
- 16:56Speaker 1: the principle? The prince congratulated, but the timing your half. Yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 1: it's funny. Junior asked you that you don't notice I
- 17:10Speaker 1: have one? Do you know how you're doing on your cleans,
- 17:13Speaker 1: your de herbs cleans. Charlotte is um en. I'm doing great. Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I'm doing great. I've joined you've joined junior to Okay,
- 17:25Speaker 1: so you're like you adopted what you stopped with the
- 17:28Speaker 1: sixteen eighteen twelve whatever you were doing, I stepped on
- 17:35Speaker 1: the scale because you hadn't lost a damn. Explain what
- 17:39Speaker 1: you were doing, Steve. Now I ain't also explain what
- 17:43Speaker 1: you were doing. You were eating. It's called intermitting fast. Okay,
- 17:49Speaker 1: you eat eight hours and you fast for sixteen What
- 17:54Speaker 1: I was so, I was eating from twelve noon to
- 17:57Speaker 1: eight at night. Wow, and then once eight at night came.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I didn't need to get into twelve news. But you
- 18:04Speaker 1: ate whatever you want it. Well, you're still clean foods
- 18:07Speaker 1: wold foods. So what does this cleans? Y'alla? Now? But
- 18:11Speaker 1: wait but wait, okay, so why did you stop that?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Because I said I'm gonna weigh myself. After week, I
- 18:20Speaker 1: felt a lot lighter. But a man, I think I
- 18:22Speaker 1: think it really, I think it's my scale. The clothes
- 18:26Speaker 1: fit different everything before. I think scale elves are coming
- 18:34Speaker 1: in at night Steve and setting your scales. So now
- 18:41Speaker 1: you're saying, because that didn't work. He didn't lose any
- 18:43Speaker 1: weight or anything. Now you're on the Earth's with JR.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I love it. Yeah, tell me to cleanse y'all. Explain
- 18:51Speaker 1: it to me. Cleans is twenty one day. You take
- 18:55Speaker 1: six cleansing herbs. That cleans all of your toxins everything.
- 19:03Speaker 1: It does work kidney, liver, kidney. There you go and colon.
- 19:09Speaker 1: What do you eat? All raw foods, fruits, vegetables, raw nuts,
- 19:14Speaker 1: drink lots of water and juniors on day you don't
- 19:18Speaker 1: want to go the whole food food? Yeah, because he
- 19:21Speaker 1: complains about the prices all the time. All raw yes, yes,
- 19:26Speaker 1: like salads, yes. Remember when you were a vegan. Remember
- 19:33Speaker 1: that was a long time ago. But now listen to me.
- 19:40Speaker 1: It's just when you eat raw you get all the
- 19:41Speaker 1: nutrients from the field. When you cook food, it loses
- 19:45Speaker 1: the nutrients. You can steam the veggie, steam the vegims.
- 19:49Speaker 1: You can do that. Well. I just want to say,
- 19:52Speaker 1: vegetables taste better with the chicken. You're not trying to
- 19:57Speaker 1: start anything. Beat greens. But I told you about my aunts.
- 20:05Speaker 1: She loved She always cooked cooked a big pot of
- 20:09Speaker 1: greens with hamhocks, but she didn't want the greens. She
- 20:13Speaker 1: just ate the hamhocks. Don't let any greens get on
- 20:18Speaker 1: her hamhocks. She would. I can say that when I
- 20:21Speaker 1: stopped eating bread and meat, yeah, I lost what I
- 20:25Speaker 1: lost a lot of weight. But I ain't gonna go
- 20:27Speaker 1: back to that right now that we know. But I
- 20:30Speaker 1: think you were happier during that. I got meat money,
- 20:32Speaker 1: so it's not denying yourself. An if you drinking soda
- 20:42Speaker 1: sugar carpet, well, I have all the meat money and
- 20:46Speaker 1: not eat me. That don't make no sick pocket. I mean,
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm eating salad. Do you remember we were in that
- 20:54Speaker 1: restaurant in Chicago and uh, it took a long time
- 20:59Speaker 1: for us to give our food more. And so the
- 21:03Speaker 1: guy said, uh, you order some boiled eggs or something
- 21:06Speaker 1: like that. Order devil, yeah, tell it, tell it yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 1: And the guy was like, I said, hey, man, I'd
- 21:14Speaker 1: like to have faux extra devil eggs. He says, sir,
- 21:18Speaker 1: what did you say? I said, full extra? Said that's
- 21:21Speaker 1: not in you all's menu. I said, that's okay, I
- 21:23Speaker 1: just want the full eggs. He says, I mustn't fund
- 21:26Speaker 1: you that. I'm gonna have to charge you extra for
- 21:28Speaker 1: these ain't I got eggs? Charge to let you know
- 21:42Speaker 1: we're gonna charge you extra for these eggs, and you're
- 21:44Speaker 1: gonna get right it down, all right? Coming up next
- 21:47Speaker 1: to the nephew, you would run that breakback right after this,
- 21:51Speaker 1: you go. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right,
- 21:57Speaker 1: Carla is still out with her daughter. They're still cheering. Um.

- 30:39Speaker 1: now the law graduate Aisha Chance. Her recent interview on
- 30:43Speaker 1: your talk show, Steve. Right after this, you're listening to
- 30:47Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, this Sunday is Mother's Day.
- 30:52Speaker 1: We just love this moment and interview from your daytime
- 30:56Speaker 1: talk show, Steve, when your special guest was Aisha Chance,
- 30:59Speaker 1: Jesus single mom of five who was now a law
- 31:02Speaker 1: school graduate. Take a listen to this moment from your
- 31:05Speaker 1: Instagram page. Your husband passed um. He was the father
- 31:09Speaker 1: of two of my children. He passed away in two
- 31:11Speaker 1: thousand and nine and I ended up going back to
- 31:14Speaker 1: get my g D. My prophet is at church sick.
- 31:17Speaker 1: He went back and got your g e D. Yes, sir,
- 31:20Speaker 1: really yeah, alright, No, you were just talking about your
- 31:31Speaker 1: church imployding of a role they played in your most
- 31:34Speaker 1: definitely and as you went into law school how how
- 31:36Speaker 1: did they keep you going? Um? Actually, law school was
- 31:40Speaker 1: so far from my mind. Like I said, I was
- 31:42Speaker 1: a high school dropout. Um. And when the father of
- 31:45Speaker 1: my children passed away, my pastor at Ministers for Christ,
- 31:48Speaker 1: her name is Louise Holme, and she said, God told
- 31:50Speaker 1: me to tell you you need to go back and
- 31:51Speaker 1: get your g D. And I said, I'm too old,
- 31:55Speaker 1: I have too many children. And she said obedience is
- 31:57Speaker 1: better than sacrifice. And yeah, what a story she has.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Though he meant her back stay, she was using yes
- 32:10Speaker 1: the spirit and her five kids were right there to
- 32:12Speaker 1: see her through it. On the high school dropout went back,
- 32:15Speaker 1: got a g e D. Then with the college come on,
- 32:19Speaker 1: and then with I can't do this, come on that
- 32:24Speaker 1: which baffles me. By my nephew, would he struggling with everything?
- 32:31Speaker 1: Bathing for one about sixteen? Oh wow, we can't get
- 32:39Speaker 1: him to learn obeyed? That is an incredible that at
- 32:46Speaker 1: the camp. I want to bring him down to the camp.
- 32:48Speaker 1: He really needs some motivation. I want him to so
- 32:54Speaker 1: what I'm doing ain't work. He ain't win a year
- 32:56Speaker 1: without somebody asks in the woods. I supposed to say that, though,
- 33:00Speaker 1: tell me this little boy rees man with my greatest
- 33:04Speaker 1: example from time he got off a bus man. We
- 33:08Speaker 1: couldn't do nothing with this boy. This little boy was
- 33:11Speaker 1: honor me, man, get your hands off me, don't get
- 33:15Speaker 1: out of my face. I ain't doing nothing, y'all tell me, dude.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Two days later, here around the corner, all the soldiers
- 33:23Speaker 1: are sitting there with all his stuff rolled up to Mr. Harvard.
- 33:26Speaker 1: We can't keep spending time with this young man's taking
- 33:29Speaker 1: away time from these other two hundreds some boys in here.
- 33:32Speaker 1: There's too many soldiers got to spend time with here.
- 33:34Speaker 1: We just gonna let him go home. We took his
- 33:36Speaker 1: t shirts and shorts and choose everything to camp. Got him.
- 33:39Speaker 1: He can't keep none of this. I walked around and
- 33:41Speaker 1: I said, recently, what's happening with you? A little man?
- 33:44Speaker 1: I'm through with it, I told y'all, I'm through with it.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I said, listen, man, I don't really lose boys down there.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I said, all the years I've been doing the camp,
- 33:53Speaker 1: I ain't lost the two boys. Well one of Mama,
- 33:56Speaker 1: can't we out of here? This program ain't for my son.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Y'all got him doing push up? What? What? Well? You
- 34:03Speaker 1: know what life in the hand your son doing lady
- 34:05Speaker 1: push up. He don't want to do all the push up. Well,
- 34:08Speaker 1: I don't want to go work every day. But hell,
- 34:11Speaker 1: if you're gonna groceries, you gotta get I said, lady,
- 34:13Speaker 1: you don't take you, but I'm taking him out of here.
- 34:16Speaker 1: So that's what that's what one we lost. So I'm
- 34:18Speaker 1: talking to Rees, I said, my man, let me, let
- 34:20Speaker 1: me explain it. Something I said. I can't let you
- 34:23Speaker 1: go home, he said, Mr Harvid, no disrespect, because I
- 34:26Speaker 1: really like you, like nobody else to this camp. But
- 34:28Speaker 1: I do like you. I ain't gonna do nothing nobody
- 34:33Speaker 1: tells me to do. I said, with son, let me
- 34:37Speaker 1: tell you this this since she liked me, noticed that
- 34:40Speaker 1: I loved you, Mr hard say you love me? You
- 34:42Speaker 1: don't even know, man, I love you for coming here.
- 34:45Speaker 1: I can't tell. I tell her when I come back.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Take about a minute. I'm gonna tell you all the story,
- 34:51Speaker 1: true story, this boy that came to my camp. Okay,
- 34:54Speaker 1: few years ago. All right, Steve, let's go ahead and
- 34:58Speaker 1: transfer on over to Ms Dan Ages and gentlemen, without
- 35:01Speaker 1: further do our very own talented informative miss and trip.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Thanks Steve. Good morning everybody out there, this is a
- 35:08Speaker 1: trip with the news. Let's get started. Rumors, Yes, they
- 35:11Speaker 1: were true. Apparently, President Trump says he is pulling the
- 35:14Speaker 1: United States out of the Iran nuclear Deal and he's
- 35:16Speaker 1: promising to reinstate quote, the highest level of economic sanctions unquote.
- 35:21Speaker 1: It is clear to me that we cannot prevent an
- 35:24Speaker 1: Iranian nuclear bomb under the decaying and rotten structure of
- 35:31Speaker 1: the current agreement. The deal lifted economic sanctions on Iran
- 35:35Speaker 1: and exchange for limitations on his nuclear program. Of course,
- 35:38Speaker 1: the president's decision now raises questions as to whether Iran
- 35:41Speaker 1: is going to continue to hold up its end of
- 35:43Speaker 1: the multinational agreement negotiated by former President Obama and five
- 35:47Speaker 1: other world powers. By the way, the other world powers
- 35:49Speaker 1: say they're going to keep with the agreement, They're gonna
- 35:51Speaker 1: still trade, and they're still not going to the lifting
- 35:54Speaker 1: their sanctions against Iran. So it's all very very tricky.
- 35:57Speaker 1: We'll see what happens. Housing and civil rights advocates are
- 35:59Speaker 1: suing the Department of Housing and Urban Development, as well
- 36:02Speaker 1: as HUT Secretary Dr. Ben Carson over the department's planned
- 36:05Speaker 1: to suspend a rule that requires communities to fight segregation
- 36:08Speaker 1: in housing The suit was brought by the National Fair
- 36:11Speaker 1: Housing Alliance and two Texas based organizations. The accused HUT
- 36:14Speaker 1: of unlawfully suspending an Obama era fair housing provision that
- 36:18Speaker 1: mandated that state and local government's taken billions in federal
- 36:22Speaker 1: funding have to for that money work towards rooting out
- 36:25Speaker 1: discriminatory housing practices. The suit asked the court to force
- 36:29Speaker 1: Housing and Urban Development to reinstate the rule. Earlier this year,
- 36:32Speaker 1: Ben Carson put the anti discrimination rule on hold, asking
- 36:36Speaker 1: allowing cities to put off complying with it until after
- 36:39Speaker 1: the year, and that's whether suing. According to The Guardian newspaper,
- 36:43Speaker 1: cops in California dispatched a bunch of squad cars and
- 36:46Speaker 1: even a helicopter last month to detain three young black
- 36:48Speaker 1: women who were simply coming out of their Airbnb rental
- 36:51Speaker 1: in Rialto, a city about sixty miles east of l
- 36:53Speaker 1: A cops stay. A white woman called on to say
- 36:57Speaker 1: that women were taking luggage out of the house, so
- 36:58Speaker 1: that they were probably rob turns out all three were filmmakers.
- 37:02Speaker 1: One is the late Bob Marley's granddaughter. They filmed the
- 37:05Speaker 1: exchange put it on Facebook. They told the first cop
- 37:07Speaker 1: on the scene that they were Airbnb renters. He said,
- 37:10Speaker 1: I never heard of Airbnb. The other officers had, they
- 37:13Speaker 1: canceled the copter. Last week, cops in Colorado removed two
- 37:16Speaker 1: Native American teenagers from a college touring bus because a
- 37:19Speaker 1: white parents said they didn't look like they belonged. The
- 37:23Speaker 1: NFL Players Union has filed the grievance against the National
- 37:26Speaker 1: Football League on behalf of Colin Kaepernick's friends, safety Eric Reid,
- 37:29Speaker 1: who knelt beside his teammate during the twenty sixteen season.
- 37:33Speaker 1: And finally, today is Bugs Bunny Day and Hairstyle Appreciation Day.
- 37:37Speaker 1: It would have beautiful. We'll be back in more entertainment.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Today's training topics twenty minutes after the hour and the
- 37:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show. Well,
- 37:50Speaker 1: divine designs. They were so beautiful floated up are you
- 37:55Speaker 1: wanted to tell you? So? The campus far boys from
- 38:01Speaker 1: single parent homes headed up by women. You're Steve Harvey
- 38:05Speaker 1: mentoring camping. So I'm talking to this little boy at
- 38:07Speaker 1: the camp and he's standing there. He said, ain't Mr
- 38:11Speaker 1: Harvey you know my father? What I know your father?
- 38:17Speaker 1: M Yeah, y'all friends. I have no friends that don't
- 38:22Speaker 1: take care of the kids. Board to me, off, Man,
- 38:29Speaker 1: I got no friends that don't take care of their kids.
- 38:32Speaker 1: That's one of the qualities or being my friend, that
- 38:35Speaker 1: you handle your business. I don't have. No don't handle
- 38:38Speaker 1: your business. Friends, your kids and your business. He pulled
- 38:42Speaker 1: out a wallet. He had a picture on me and
- 38:44Speaker 1: his daddy. I know his daddy. I said, hey, man,
- 38:48Speaker 1: so and so your father. Why you here? He said,
- 38:51Speaker 1: for me and my father. We're not close no more
- 38:54Speaker 1: because he got married to this other woman. She won't
- 38:56Speaker 1: like us, so he don't come around no more. I said,
- 38:59Speaker 1: we're that time you talk to your daddy about two
- 39:02Speaker 1: years wow. I called him up from my ranch. I said, yo, Yo,
- 39:07Speaker 1: what's up man? How you doing? Steve? What's up? Boy?
- 39:11Speaker 1: Was happening with you? I said, man? Long time? Yeah? Man?
- 39:14Speaker 1: I said, hey, man, I got a little prominently to
- 39:16Speaker 1: talk to you about. I said, your son is at
- 39:20Speaker 1: my mentoring camp. You know. His mama was saying, somebody
- 39:24Speaker 1: going over there? Man, he said, I just met him.
- 39:28Speaker 1: I said, hey, man, you gotta come get your son.
- 39:31Speaker 1: M I said, dog, This little boy said, y'all ain't
- 39:33Speaker 1: talked in two years. You gotta come get your son. Dog.
- 39:36Speaker 1: This camp is for women who handling these boys by
- 39:40Speaker 1: their self. I said, this, dude, show me a picture.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Men you you gotta come get your son. I just
- 39:45Speaker 1: do you. I live up your responsibility. I'm feeding your son,

- 40:05Speaker 1: create all types of situations, I said, Dog, you think
- 40:08Speaker 1: that's gonna createation? I said, you, let me cut the
- 40:10Speaker 1: radio switch and tell everybody who you are with this
- 40:13Speaker 1: business and your boys sitting out here. I'm gonna I'm
- 40:15Speaker 1: gonna tell you what problem is. Forty five minutes later,
- 40:18Speaker 1: he was out there, got his son, just ran up
- 40:21Speaker 1: to cry. That's a heartwarming story. Now I'm a war
- 40:28Speaker 1: Well he came and got him here. Man, I'm minute,
- 40:32Speaker 1: and you're born. I know you. You are my daddy
- 40:34Speaker 1: free and I ain't got no freen You don't take
- 40:36Speaker 1: it all right, coming up in about ten minutes, right
- 40:40Speaker 1: about thirty four after on this Woman Crush Wednesday, Gabrielle
- 40:44Speaker 1: Union and Jada Pinkett Smith have squashed their beef. We'll
- 40:48Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening to show
- 40:54Speaker 1: today is Women Crushed Wednesday. So let's talk about this
- 40:57Speaker 1: trending story. Uhum, Gabrielle Union and Jada Pinkett they're saying
- 41:03Speaker 1: this beef that they supposedly had. Uh, it's a media creation,
- 41:07Speaker 1: That's just what it was. The media created it. They
- 41:10Speaker 1: hyped it. Sure. Jada Pinkett Smith recently revealed that she
- 41:13Speaker 1: and Gabrielle ended their seventeen year feud, except no one
- 41:16Speaker 1: really knows how it even got started. How did the
- 41:19Speaker 1: beef start? Gabrielle Union doesn't even know. Uh. While promoting
- 41:25Speaker 1: her new Facebook show, Red Table Talk, Jada told Extra
- 41:30Speaker 1: that she and Gabby haven't been speaking, haven't been on
- 41:32Speaker 1: speaking terms over this fight that she can't even remember.
- 41:36Speaker 1: So they haven't been talking. They don't even know why
- 41:38Speaker 1: they haven't been talking. But now the Gabrielle Union she
- 41:42Speaker 1: has explained her side of the story. During the chat
- 41:45Speaker 1: with Hoda Kadby on the Today show, Take a listen,
- 41:48Speaker 1: Jada nor I ever used the words huge, So it
- 41:51Speaker 1: just became more of a media a media creation, kind
- 41:53Speaker 1: of like back in the day. Neither one of us
- 41:55Speaker 1: actually knows what originally, you know, took place back then,
- 41:59Speaker 1: but the people we had around us, We're like, well,
- 42:02Speaker 1: you know how she feels about you, and they were like, well,
- 42:04Speaker 1: you know how she feels about you? And then it
- 42:06Speaker 1: was like okay for garl B for seventeen years. And
- 42:10Speaker 1: even though we're both very outspoken women were both activists,
- 42:14Speaker 1: our husbands or friends I've worked with, our husband, we
- 42:16Speaker 1: were we both felt we had too much pride and
- 42:18Speaker 1: too much insecurities to just say, hey, did that ever
- 42:21Speaker 1: actually happen or was that a creation someone else who
- 42:25Speaker 1: did not want to see two women rise together? Because
- 42:28Speaker 1: we're both talking about, you know, how to stop you know,
- 42:30Speaker 1: human trafficking, sexual trafficking, We're both outspoken about, you know,
- 42:34Speaker 1: black lives matter, We're both outspoken about so many things
- 42:36Speaker 1: in our community, and we both have huge platforms. Imagine
- 42:39Speaker 1: if we came together and that's what we actually talked
- 42:42Speaker 1: about on her show, how we got over ourselves, how
- 42:44Speaker 1: we both evolved, no feud excellent. You used to go around. Yeah, yes,
- 42:52Speaker 1: you're the one that gets mad and stuff speaking speaking
- 42:59Speaker 1: for just get mad and I still get mad. I
- 43:04Speaker 1: mean we all do. You would have some non speaking
- 43:07Speaker 1: weeks though you know that. No, I don't know. I'm
- 43:10Speaker 1: the only one that's required on this show to fix
- 43:13Speaker 1: it with some form of guilt. And he don't even
- 43:21Speaker 1: have to do nothing. I said, Shirley, how you don't
- 43:24Speaker 1: get mad at time? Me like you get it mad
- 43:26Speaker 1: because he's stupid? Can you expect that of him? Steve Harvey? No,
- 43:35Speaker 1: there's no excuses. Remember that time we was in l A.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I don't even know what I did. She still remember that.
- 43:43Speaker 1: I bet I had to. I bought her some balloons
- 43:47Speaker 1: and the dude was on the elevator with the balloons.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Because Shirley bust all of the days, all the days
- 43:59Speaker 1: I elevated full of blues, busted them. We have a flowers.
- 44:05Speaker 1: She didn't. She busted all the blue. She didn't had
- 44:08Speaker 1: about flower six hundred dollars. You know how many balloons? Man?
- 44:11Speaker 1: Six hundred dollars. And then we had remember our promotion
- 44:16Speaker 1: pictures we had sent out. I cut Steve's head. Steve's pictures,
- 44:22Speaker 1: all of them. What it's coming out? You see this
- 44:26Speaker 1: just as crazy, the one that sent you the scriptures
- 44:30Speaker 1: in the morning, the very one in the words Carlo Brow. Yeah, hello,
- 44:38Speaker 1: all of that. But like we married, I ain't get
- 44:42Speaker 1: no benefit one of those is just come on, let's
- 44:45Speaker 1: talk it out. The peacemaker. I just want to know
- 44:50Speaker 1: you was talking about trying to do with that. Thank you,
- 44:55Speaker 1: Thank you, junior. Have you changed? Have changed? Okay? Mad
- 45:00Speaker 1: One morning I had come into work because we had
- 45:03Speaker 1: to come in at four am to do radio in Dallas.
- 45:07Speaker 1: M lot makeup on me glittle, Shirley said, Steve, what
- 45:15Speaker 1: is that on you? What? I don't know. I'm just
- 45:19Speaker 1: over this. I look like I'm actually on the post. Yeah,
- 45:27Speaker 1: where is just coming from? Here? Exactly? On this women
- 45:34Speaker 1: Crush Wednesday, We're gonna crush on Jada Pinkett Smith and
- 45:37Speaker 1: Gabrielle Union. Glad, Now, if you tell me has a
- 45:44Speaker 1: praying phone called coming up? You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 45:48Speaker 1: Morning Show, all right, coming up at the top of
- 45:52Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's Today's Strawberry Letter.
- 45:55Speaker 1: That's subject don't hold my past against me? But up
- 46:00Speaker 1: next the nephew is here with the praying phone call.
- 46:02Speaker 1: What you got my Wednesday woman? Crush is j Lo?
- 46:09Speaker 1: I just want you to know that, Okay married many
- 46:14Speaker 1: what you married? We own in Houston? What's wrong? He's stupid?
- 46:20Speaker 1: I can't even have a Wednesday crime. Come on, let
- 46:23Speaker 1: me hear you put your wife on their food. Okay, Lord,
- 46:29Speaker 1: he'll never learn Steve j Lo on your damn pageant. Okay,
- 46:34Speaker 1: We're just run this day, praise dancers, run it. Hello,
- 46:41Speaker 1: this is the day that the Lord is made. Let
- 46:42Speaker 1: us rejoice and be glad in it. How you doing?
- 46:44Speaker 1: I'm looking for this is full from the church. How
- 46:51Speaker 1: are you? Oh, I'm brother Fuller. How are you? I'm good,
- 46:54Speaker 1: I'm good. Um. We wanted to give you a call
- 46:57Speaker 1: about the about the praise dancing. That's at the first
- 47:00Speaker 1: of all. I wanted to really show you how much, uh,
- 47:02Speaker 1: you're doing a great job over there with the praise
- 47:04Speaker 1: dances and you you definitely do a great job on
- 47:06Speaker 1: h Happy third Sunday that you guys actually perform. Everybody
- 47:09Speaker 1: seemed to really like it. Well, thank you, thank you.
- 47:12Speaker 1: What can I do for you today? It was a
- 47:14Speaker 1: bit of a situation with um, you know it's been
- 47:16Speaker 1: brought to our attention. We actually had a small gathering,
- 47:19Speaker 1: a little meeting about it and wanted to I've been
- 47:21Speaker 1: elected to actually give you all and who is this?
- 47:24Speaker 1: I'm sorry, who are you kid, brother Fuller? Uh huh?
- 47:28Speaker 1: And and who are meeting uh some of the brothers
- 47:32Speaker 1: at the church and and uh path to actually sad
- 47:34Speaker 1: in for a moment on it. And I was actually
- 47:37Speaker 1: elected to actually just give you a call and and
- 47:39Speaker 1: nothing that. I don't think we can't get rectified and
- 47:42Speaker 1: you know, move on slouthly as we normally do. But
- 47:45Speaker 1: I just think it's we wanted to reach out to
- 47:47Speaker 1: you and kind of make you aware of it, if
- 47:48Speaker 1: it's if you don't mind, okay, Um? And what things
- 47:53Speaker 1: are those? Well? Since Tania has any of the praise
- 47:58Speaker 1: dances they became praise dances? Was was was was any
- 48:04Speaker 1: of them strippers? I beg your partners. Was any of
- 48:07Speaker 1: the praise dancers that at the church that you have
- 48:11Speaker 1: on the praise team right now with any of them
- 48:14Speaker 1: strippers in the past. I'm sorry, sir, I don't I
- 48:17Speaker 1: don't really know who you are, um, and I don't
- 48:19Speaker 1: really understand this line of question. But like I said,
- 48:22Speaker 1: i'm brother Full. I don't think we've met. But uh,
- 48:24Speaker 1: like I said, I've been elected to give you a call.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Not now. It seems like what happened is this past
- 48:30Speaker 1: week when you all actually uh danced, it seemed like
- 48:33Speaker 1: a couple of the girls was actually a gy raiding
- 48:36Speaker 1: during the praise routine. Hey what chat raiding? Brother Full?
- 48:40Speaker 1: I don't know who you are, and I don't know
- 48:42Speaker 1: what you saw. None of my girls which I raiding.
- 48:45Speaker 1: They were dancing for the Lord. And I think if
- 48:48Speaker 1: you look through your Lord's I perhaps you would see
- 48:50Speaker 1: them better instead of maybe you were looking through the
- 48:52Speaker 1: chat rating. No, No, she's a couple of the girls.
- 48:55Speaker 1: We can point them out. A couple of them have
- 48:57Speaker 1: uh strip girl, a tendency is up. And then because
- 49:00Speaker 1: some of them has been girls the disease. You know what, sir,
- 49:05Speaker 1: I think we need to complete this call. Perhaps I
- 49:08Speaker 1: need to compets up. But speak to him myself, because
- 49:10Speaker 1: you know, I don't know what you do all days,
- 49:12Speaker 1: but I have a real job and I'm sitting here
- 49:14Speaker 1: holding the conversation in my office about jar rating strippers
- 49:17Speaker 1: in the church. Are you kidding me? Listen now, here's
- 49:20Speaker 1: a couple of things that they're talking about. Some of
- 49:23Speaker 1: the girls feet a real ass you when you all
- 49:26Speaker 1: a performance and they want to see and maybe you
- 49:28Speaker 1: can you can. I don't know. Maybe I don't know
- 49:30Speaker 1: if y'all need to grip or whatever that y'all don't.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Y'all don't put lotion on. We're not sure what that is.
- 49:36Speaker 1: As well as the total filers. Everybody has three, four,
- 49:40Speaker 1: five different designs and everything is it? Any way, y'all
- 49:43Speaker 1: can be in unison with you're toting upon us. But
- 49:46Speaker 1: the most important thing ill the JI rating doing the
- 49:49Speaker 1: dance routine. I don't know what your feet look like.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I don't need you calling me talking to me about
- 49:54Speaker 1: my girls their feet, their nail powers. Perhaps your man
- 49:57Speaker 1: should be on Jesus instead of on out how about
- 50:00Speaker 1: that man? From my mind, I don't have time. I
- 50:04Speaker 1: don't have time. I don't want your mama and to
- 50:06Speaker 1: be on Jesus when somebody's shaking them. But at the church,
- 50:09Speaker 1: that's the problem, you know what. Look, I'm at work now,
- 50:12Speaker 1: I'm trying to keep a work tone. You don't make
- 50:15Speaker 1: me curse up there here. Now, let me tell you something.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Don't call me anymore. I will deal with pastor. If
- 50:19Speaker 1: he has something to say with me, he can say
- 50:20Speaker 1: it to me personally. But I'm done with this conversation.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Are you gonna deal with the jy rating? Is what
- 50:26Speaker 1: we want to know? Maybe you know what? It just
- 50:29Speaker 1: hit me. Maybe you're one of the ones that's doing
- 50:31Speaker 1: the GI rate. Look, let me tell you something. My
- 50:33Speaker 1: girls are gonna rating, and neither am I. Now I
- 50:36Speaker 1: am done with this conversation. Do you understand? But listen,
- 50:39Speaker 1: I'm done or you're done with this rating. That's what
- 50:42Speaker 1: we want to stop so we can We can't praise
- 50:44Speaker 1: the Lord if the booty isn't shake you know what chart? Look,
- 50:49Speaker 1: I gotta go to work. I gotta go now again.
- 50:52Speaker 1: I don't know what your issue is. It sounds to
- 50:53Speaker 1: me like you have an issue which I rating booties.
- 50:56Speaker 1: And I heard so much gyrating booties in one conversation
- 50:58Speaker 1: in my entire life. My mind is set on Jesus,
- 51:01Speaker 1: I don't know what you're man, it's set on what
- 51:03Speaker 1: to tell you. Before you was a praise thence uh
- 51:06Speaker 1: the ministry over the ministry? Did did you all use
- 51:09Speaker 1: the strip didn't do no striping? Now did your wife
- 51:12Speaker 1: do any striping? What did you I'm gonna do any striping?
- 51:15Speaker 1: What did what? You heard? What I said you? How
- 51:18Speaker 1: do you like? Somebody call? You would ask you if
- 51:19Speaker 1: your mamma get some strip and how do you like that?
- 51:22Speaker 1: You know what? I want to know? When is the
- 51:24Speaker 1: next rehearsal? That the way I can come and pick
- 51:26Speaker 1: out who it is that's doing this town. Well, you
- 51:28Speaker 1: don't have you know, have any vinuges that my rehearsal.
- 51:30Speaker 1: I don't want to see you at my rehearsal. I
- 51:32Speaker 1: don't want to. I don't want to see any part
- 51:34Speaker 1: for you in my rehearse if I see you near
- 51:35Speaker 1: one of my girls. That's why I'm coming after you myself.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Do you understand me? You need to find out who's
- 51:39Speaker 1: doing that job. You need to say your but in
- 51:42Speaker 1: your own high and I'm good y'all. Ain't this and
- 51:45Speaker 1: when the plate is being plays, because it ain't no
- 51:47Speaker 1: telling her you act with them one coming through it?
- 51:49Speaker 1: You know what? That's it. That's it. You called me,
- 51:51Speaker 1: disrespecting me. I'm at work. I can't even have this
- 51:54Speaker 1: to more. You know what, don't call me no more,
- 51:56Speaker 1: don't look at my girls no more. Man, come to
- 51:58Speaker 1: the church and see what I got for you. I
- 51:59Speaker 1: don't want know is you're gonna stop the job rating?
- 52:02Speaker 1: What is doing moving? That's what they're gonna do. It
- 52:06Speaker 1: You talking to like that you're supposed to be Anna
- 52:10Speaker 1: yea does have done? Listen to tell you now I'm
- 52:13Speaker 1: getting ready to get when I got one more thing
- 52:15Speaker 1: to say to you? Pol your love, How you ain't
- 52:16Speaker 1: got a thing to say to me? I said I
- 52:18Speaker 1: was dealt, And I said I got one more thing
- 52:20Speaker 1: to say? Is you listen? You know what? Man, get
- 52:21Speaker 1: off my phone. I'm gonna say it anyway. This is
- 52:25Speaker 1: nephew Timman from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your entire
- 52:29Speaker 1: praise and ministry congregation, all your girls got me the
- 52:33Speaker 1: frank phone called you. Oh I'm a shot for real.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Oh I'm think I'm cursing on the radio. Oh I
- 52:46Speaker 1: think I'm gonna have to show. I got one thing
- 52:48Speaker 1: to ask you. Tell you what is the baddest radio
- 52:52Speaker 1: show in the lad nobody else but the Steve Harvey
- 52:55Speaker 1: More on the show that is praise dancing. You know
- 53:03Speaker 1: what I'm saying, do a little scripping from it if
- 53:07Speaker 1: you don't mind. Lord's Tommy, Oh Jesus, a little scripping
- 53:12Speaker 1: substantly in my prayers. I can't hear you. I've never
- 53:18Speaker 1: really I don't like you. Don't like praise dancing. It's
- 53:21Speaker 1: not in the whole idea of the praise. No, you
- 53:24Speaker 1: can the Lord are not in there. Well, I don't
- 53:33Speaker 1: get the white face. That's what that's the mind turned
- 53:37Speaker 1: around and the whole church seated. I can accept our love,
- 53:40Speaker 1: you have it, but the white face praise dance and
- 53:45Speaker 1: they're excellent. You guys just don't appreciate it. Art form.
- 53:54Speaker 1: It's an art for I want the same pedicute, though
- 53:57Speaker 1: everybody told God to be same. I don't like to
- 53:59Speaker 1: do from sides of the people on the team. They
- 54:02Speaker 1: don't look it, don't look the same at the big plation,
- 54:11Speaker 1: it's not the same. Turn. You can't focus. I want
- 54:13Speaker 1: you on that. Wait on somebody to catch up. Yeah.
- 54:16Speaker 1: The little people turn all the way. They back around weird,
- 54:19Speaker 1: quicker than the big room. Now, you gotta wait for
- 54:21Speaker 1: the big When it turn around, you really spin and
- 54:25Speaker 1: you're skinny. You come back around. Were waiting. See when
- 54:30Speaker 1: you're big. It ain't a spin, it's a rotate. It's
- 54:33Speaker 1: a turn of rotest. Not a spin, it's a rotate.
- 54:36Speaker 1: And now we're just in here looking at this mayhem,
- 54:39Speaker 1: this this organas turn once they come out that turn
- 54:42Speaker 1: that they never get caught back. And then the big
- 54:44Speaker 1: one got shot on. So when the arms spread out
- 54:47Speaker 1: like the arms are not all the way up with
- 54:49Speaker 1: the right right, your wings don't really look like wings. Right,
- 54:56Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry letter. Uh, the subject don't hold my past
- 55:01Speaker 1: against me. We'll do that right after this. You're listening
- 55:05Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Time for the letter. And
- 55:08Speaker 1: if you do want advice on relationships, on sex, on dating,
- 55:13Speaker 1: on work, on parenting, whatever it might be, submit your
- 55:17Speaker 1: Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey f M dot com and
- 55:20Speaker 1: click submit draw Berry letter. All right, a special announcement
- 55:27Speaker 1: that I'm just a side. I'm going to start a
- 55:30Speaker 1: petition to praise Just please send it. Please sign your name.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Your name will be held. I'm just looking for the
- 55:41Speaker 1: sheer number of people listening with bugle up and hold
- 55:48Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you. Here. It is
- 55:49Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. They're so stupid. Everybody wins. Subject don't
- 55:57Speaker 1: hold my past against me, Dear ste even surely I
- 56:00Speaker 1: have a question and I need your advice. When should
- 56:03Speaker 1: I tell a new love interest that I have been
- 56:06Speaker 1: to prison. I am not the average parole though I
- 56:10Speaker 1: am an older woman that served a lengthy prison term
- 56:14Speaker 1: as a first offender for transporting drugs. Since my release
- 56:18Speaker 1: from prison, I have earned a degree and I have
- 56:21Speaker 1: a great career for many years, I own a home,
- 56:24Speaker 1: and I'm an upstanding member of my community. No one
- 56:28Speaker 1: would ever believe that I have had a considerable amount
- 56:31Speaker 1: of my life controlled by the Department of Corrections. So
- 56:35Speaker 1: when is it appropriate to disclose this information to a man.
- 56:39Speaker 1: I don't want to share it up front because I
- 56:41Speaker 1: don't want to be judged unfairly. I also don't want
- 56:44Speaker 1: to wait too long because I don't want to shot
- 56:47Speaker 1: the man. In my last relationship, my man did not
- 56:50Speaker 1: hold it against me. We broke it off for other
- 56:53Speaker 1: reasons since him I met a man and we were
- 56:56Speaker 1: talking about people being in prison and he had he
- 56:59Speaker 1: had strong views against it, so I didn't pursue anything
- 57:02Speaker 1: further with him to avoid telling him about my past.
- 57:06Speaker 1: I want desperately to be in love, but I'm afraid
- 57:09Speaker 1: to be open and honest with guys I meet. It
- 57:12Speaker 1: may not be you know, it may not be that
- 57:15Speaker 1: big of a deal, and I'm worried for nothing. What
- 57:18Speaker 1: are your thoughts? Well, um, I think the timing is everything,
- 57:22Speaker 1: and I think you should be honest with him. And
- 57:25Speaker 1: you're right you shouldn't wait too long if he's a
- 57:28Speaker 1: new love interest. I'm assuming that you guys are dating
- 57:31Speaker 1: and going out to dinner and such things. So even
- 57:34Speaker 1: though it's hard for you to bring it up because
- 57:36Speaker 1: you don't want to be judged, you know you have
- 57:38Speaker 1: to bring it up. So one night at dinner as
- 57:40Speaker 1: early as possible, you know, if not the first date,
- 57:43Speaker 1: the second date, go ahead and tell him. You know,
- 57:46Speaker 1: people have to like you for who you are. You
- 57:48Speaker 1: you you did what you did, You paid your debt
- 57:50Speaker 1: to society. You spent many years in in prison. You said,
- 57:55Speaker 1: now that's over. You know everyone gets a second chance.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I think you deserve a second chance, and you've proved
- 58:01Speaker 1: that with your second chance, you've become a better person.
- 58:04Speaker 1: You say you're an upstanding member uh in your community,
- 58:07Speaker 1: you own your own home, you've you've had a great
- 58:09Speaker 1: career for many years. You have a degree. So I
- 58:12Speaker 1: mean you're you're clearly a changed person. So if the
- 58:15Speaker 1: person who you're with uh liked you, and UH you
- 58:20Speaker 1: know if you once you tell them, excuse me, they
- 58:23Speaker 1: like you for who you are, They're not gonna hold
- 58:25Speaker 1: that against you. I mean, there have been many people
- 58:27Speaker 1: out there that have done time and have gone gone
- 58:30Speaker 1: on to do upstanding things, and I think you're one
- 58:32Speaker 1: of those. So UM, tell him, tell him as soon
- 58:35Speaker 1: as possible. First, just if not the first date, definitely
- 58:38Speaker 1: the second date. Steve. First of all, congratulations, yeah on
- 58:43Speaker 1: picking yourself up and turning yourself around. Shall I not
- 58:47Speaker 1: say yourself, Let me say praise to God for picking
- 58:51Speaker 1: you up and turning your round. That God is in
- 58:54Speaker 1: the forgiving business. God is in the delivery business. God
- 58:58Speaker 1: is in the dust. You off bin this. God is
- 59:00Speaker 1: gonna make your dream come truely. You are a result
- 59:04Speaker 1: of that, the fact that you're an older woman and
- 59:07Speaker 1: you certain lengthy prison term as a first defender for
- 59:10Speaker 1: transporting drugs. You've earned a degree, you have had a
- 59:15Speaker 1: great career for many years, you own a home, and
- 59:19Speaker 1: I am outstanding, upstanding member of your community. No one
- 59:24Speaker 1: would ever believe you did a considerable at the time
- 59:26Speaker 1: control by the Department of Correction. So when is it
- 59:30Speaker 1: appropriate to disclose this information to a man. I don't
- 59:34Speaker 1: want to share it upfront, and you shouldn't. This is
- 59:39Speaker 1: nothing you need to share upfront. It ain't really ain't
- 59:42Speaker 1: nobody's business yet now surely gives good advice. I happened
- 59:48Speaker 1: to disagree with sharing this with a man on the
- 59:51Speaker 1: first A second date, personal second date don't mean nothing.
- 59:56Speaker 1: I think you reveal this information to a man once
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: you all are about to be intimate. Then the relationship
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: going somewhere y'all just talking and dating what it is now,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: if you feel like it's about to get intimate, then
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you need to reveal this information. And I'll tell you why.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Because a man is now more vested in you, he's
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: developed feelings for you without, as you say, being judgmental.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Because remember the one guy she was liking and she
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: tried to share it up from you know, uh, he
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: set up and had really strong feelings about people that
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: have been to prison from he's out, you know what
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I mean. So that has happened to her so rightfully.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: So she's concerned about running off a good man too early.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: So first and second date is out of the question.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: I disagree. I think it's something you keep. Let a
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: person get to know you, get to understand how you
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: are and feel you without having that information to taint
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: who you really are, because it can happen, cause people
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: are human beings. I got Should nobody judge everybody? Should
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: faith take your faith value for what you are. That
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: ain't how people are operating. Let's not be naive. So simple.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: You wait until you're about to become intimate, and then
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: you drop it on it period. Now anybody don't like
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: that information, I'm sorry, too bad, but that's when I
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: would do it now. Any question, Shirley, I've been to
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: the opinion you say that right now when you when
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: it's about to become interested. Now, I don't have any questions.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: We we do disagree, I guess, go ahead, No, I
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: guess we do disagree on that. I think you should
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the earlier, the better you know, and and give the
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: person the other person the option of whether they want
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: to continue the relationship. People do have strong Indians about
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: you know, people who have been to prison. So I
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: just say the earlier, the better timing is everything, of course,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: and you know, give them the option of whether they
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: want to hang in there or get out. That's my opinion.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Hanging there for what relationship? Ye gotten a degree? Got it?
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: We'll finish this one, okay, all right, we'll be back
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: with part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: three after the hour you're listening to Steve Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: come on, let's go with part two of your response
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: to today's Strawberry letter subject don't hold my past against me?
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: See and the reason I think that, Well, this woman
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: is questioning she needs some advice because she's been to
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: prison before for a large part of her life, and
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: she's wondering when is the right time to inform a
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: man that she has been to prison because she's not
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: the average parole lead. She says, she's an older woman, Sir,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: the lengthy prison time as a first defended for transporting drugs.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: But since her release from prison, she's earned a degree,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: she has a great career for many years, she's a
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: homeowner and an upstanding member of her community. No one
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: would ever believe that I've had a considerable amount of
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: my life controlled by the Department of Correction. I think
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you have a fabulous story to him. I think that
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: you are a story of redemption, overcoming, forgiveness, and God's grace.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I think you have an incredible story to tell. I
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: think if you told that story, if you peel back
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: and remove the layer of secrecy as the story, this
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: is my story, this is what I'm from, and this
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: is what I've become, more people would resonate with you.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I really feel that way. Now, as far as dating
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: a man, if you don't want to take that route,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: then I don't think you should tell him on the
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: first or second date. I think you should wait until
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: you're about to become into because you all know. Okay,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: when I get what I see next time, I better daughter,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: women know that? What what? What if they're gonna have
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: sex on the first day? You know how we get
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: to that? See what? What? Why are we talking? I
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: hate him because she already if you listen to the letter,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: it's not a woman like that. Should she wait till
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: they're both undressed? That's my dog team Jay all day long?
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Don't you add to this? Makes sense? Though? One more time, Jake,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: because I don't believe what you just said. I don't
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: believe you said what you just said. Should she wait
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: till they're both undressed? I know you like what you see.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: You don't mind if called the you know that man?
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: So anyway, right, you hired him your story as a
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: story redemption and overcoming, to write a book about it,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: to mentor young girls to go into prisons and tell
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: your story. I think your life has great value to
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I think your story, your past, is your story. But
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: you can stand up and make the announcement. I've held
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: this from you off for so many years because I
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: was a shame. But I'm no longer a shamed. I'm
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: actually proud. I'm actually filled with God's grace now, and
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I want to share story. In nineteen I was convicted
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: for drug traffic I got caught up in a situation
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I was young, bold. I've been to jail for twenty years.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I got out in two thousand five. Now a lot
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: of people gonna start clearing out to you. Come on hard.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Some people there we go, we set killing up. Okay,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: so the ones that are left right, so we're gonna
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: see some walk out. But the people, those little ones
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: that are really with them, okay, dog Christians anyway, But dog,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: couldn't we tell them like right after we do it?
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Can we tell me then let's keep through it all
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: that ain't on my mind. I don't want jail on
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: my mind. Why we don't. I know you enjoyed it,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: But that's how it's gonna go. Jack, it's going down now,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: he's coming up. Taking the moment you got caught up, Junior.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: I have one more, Just one more you yell out,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: lights out, I'm sorry, sign or something like could you
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: roll over and get my paints from under the bid?
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: You laying on my pain. I agree that she has
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: a great, great, great story. We just we disagree on
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: when she should tell him. Yeah, but I think I
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: think story and just take the take the whole veil
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: of secrecy off of it, man, and tell your story.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: See if you tell your story, that keep people from
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: telling it? Yeah, you tell your own truth. You reveal
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: it what they're gonna say exactly. She used to sell truths? Well,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: yeah I did. Yeah, but he saved me. God gott
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: to save you from something. I think you have a
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: great story of redemption. I say, pulled back to curtain
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: yourself and walk out on that. And who's gonna be,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: what you're gonna be, what you'll find out? Who you
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: cool people? Is right? That's all you gotta do is
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: it's pull the curtain back on that plate and let
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: him sit there and watch that for a minute. You'll
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: find out who with you? Who are all right? At
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: the set? You could sing, Oh, don't you know? That's
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: just sounds working on the chain, Dan. Really, most people
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: in her life they already know it though, because she
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: has to. I mean, you know, they got to do
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: background checks, so she's yeah, she has a great career
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: for I go to over here. Well, you ain't so fast, baby,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: your head all the way in your boat the restaurant
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: and get up against the wall. Yeah, and walk along
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: the wall until you get by the kitchen. Don't Why
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: did you put that in your pocket? What is that about?
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Why are you soap skinny? Why is your favorite movie
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: you want to watch? Hey? Why did you fouling your butt? What?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: What is you put on the button? Night? Guy? Long?
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: You and all right? Listen, we gotta get out of here.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Email us or Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's Strawberry

- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Don't go through. God, kid, you turn around and it's hurt.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: That's why I left you in the front way. There's
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: another thing, your mama case see happened to your girl.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: Your girls, I mean your girl, your ex girl can't
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: see this happened to you. You're to move back and
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: to your mama. She drawing off some pack to your
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: mama for Mother's Day. You asked him about the basement
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: with some hot shoes and a wife beater and a
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: white people pack of cigarettes behind you you damn janny
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: and a coat on because they no heat. And here's
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: one that you can't have happened to you. She find
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: out no cold up, this happened to you. Your ex
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: send you a text that was meant for someone else.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: But the text say I'm in the shower the doors open,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: followed by I'm sorry that that's cold. That's deliberate man,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: instant crying, I'm in the shower the doors open, followed
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: by I'm sorry. That was not for you. Here's another
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: thing your ex can't find out about you if you
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: mess around and lost that good ass job. Uh, she
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: walked into you. You now you're down at the windy
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: You repentish in the salad ball. She and there with
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: the kids, right, mama, ain't that Mr Jo? Shut up?
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Let him work. That's cold. That's cold. Man, You come
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: to church walking. It all went bad. But here's my
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: favorite one of all drumroll cat ladies and gentlemen. This
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: is the top thing that your ex can never see
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: happen to you. It is your new girlfriend look just
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: like your brother dog man, man that out, No baby,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: this is my new lady. Excuse me. You know you
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: can't let him see you do gay ever ever, ever, ever, ever?
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Can I never have a movie if you got it
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: going on like that. You cannot let your X see
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: your new girlfriend talk to you crazy outside. You can't
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: do that that. Somebody ain't got it together. Let me
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: tell you another thing you can not see you do
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Washington car. That the car in return if they pull
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: up in that car and they look at to see
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: you out there Washington car. Is that what you don't
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: want her to see you do out there? Cleaning? Porter
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Potti is clean, Porter Patty. You don't want husbeah, we
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: broke up that man you know you don't like You
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: cannot be the mascot at the birthday part. Cannot walk
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: away and sit man, No SpongeBob square fancy her baby.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Birthday part cannot be. That is he checking what you're
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: doing and check it job can not be at the
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: birthday part they have the man. They're not gonna go
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: for that. Glad your ex cannot see you rummaging through
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: a trash. You have lost all your shame everybody else.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: But she can't see that. She cannot see you riding
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: around town on your car and you got that little
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: doughnut on that he got new time, your money, your
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: ex can see you. She had to stop. Yeah, she
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: can't see you pull up next to her. You don't
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: know it's her. You're on your brother bike. Oh my god, like, hey,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: trying to make it to work. I'll tell you what.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: I'll tell you what you can't see. She got the
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: kids and pull up to McDonald's window and you work
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: in the window in your order. Please you thought I recognized,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Say he is one that really hurt. They cannot see
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: you with your shirt open. It's some flip flops in
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: a y'all. They cannot see you over you all right,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: get it together, guys. Wow. Coming up at the top
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: of the hour, two Chains proposed again to his wife.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: And we're gonna ask Steve and Tommy, well certainly not Jake,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: how they did when they proposed. Yeah, right after this,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, well,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: look who's here? Got here fresh out of the gym?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Is your voice. Alright, Carla, because Steve said you were
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: doing some holleran hey, the cheery girl, my baby flip
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: better than exactly yes, all of that screaming. Yes, I'm
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: back from Orlando, Florida. Thank you. Let me get you
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: some green girl. See you sound sexy, Go with the sexy,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: go with thee. Do not kill anybody in here. Tasha
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: is a champion though. Oh that baby. It was a big,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: big dance summit, cheer summing. Tommy's daughter was there and
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: his wife. It was big. It was big for the
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: cheering dance world. Is past weekend in Orlando. It's awful.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: You don't know. When your daughter does something, we get
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: more days. I don't know why you came right that.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: They've been going about two weeks. You guys, thank you.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: That's awesome. Yeah, yeah, we love that baby. All right.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: Well I gotta ask you this, Carlin. Did you see
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: this two chains proposed again to his wife at the
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: met gala on the red carpet. Yes, and two chains
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: in Keisha Ward have been married since two thousand thirteen,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: but that did not stop him from getting down on
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: one knee to pop the question again. How romantic? And
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: this is a really romantic part, Jay, are you listening? No,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: not at all. He upgraded her ring, He upgraded her ring.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: He upgraded her ring, I should say her bling. Uh. So,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: did you guys know the President proposed to First Lady
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Melania Trump at the met gala fourteen years ago? That
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: was back, of course, in two thousand four. Uh. Donald
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Trump gave Melania a fifteen carrot engagement ring. Uh. And
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: now how ironic that Mr Trump is not even welcomed
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: at the met gala. That's according to yeah take folk.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Unitor in Chief Annamal Tour says, uh, you're not welcomed here.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: So so Steve, tell me, how did your guys proposed?
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: Do you remember? H yeah, clip oh what happened? Okay,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: this is probably the road man most romantic. I think
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: I'll be a bit Okay, okay, drive through at Popeye.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: I didn't have no money. She paid for everything. That's
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: when I knew this was the woman romantic romantically. It's
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: the questions, Yeah, you don't see the drifts. You don't
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: see the romantic and took took my college class ring
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: off and gave it that because I ain't have nothing. Now,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: but we didn't get married. About sixteen. You're like, boy,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: that's romantic. I know what women hanging over with dad.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I can't wait for somebody to do me like that.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: When we poised today, boy will be the crame you
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: hear me? I have a tear in my eye right now.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, show him how it's done. Well.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: I took Marjorie to La Pamelia. You all know where
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: that I took you all there, the one and only
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: in cobbo Um. We checked into the room. I had
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: prearranged it with the make you the manager of the restaurant.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: So I took my ring that I gotten her. She
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: didn't know I had it to the manager and gave
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: it to it. He put it in the safe until
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: dinner time. She decided at dinner time she didn't want
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: to go to dinner, let's just have room service. Okay,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: you're the mess up every day. So I said, no, no,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: that we really really got to go, really have to go.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: The managers expected us. So she got dressed. We go
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: down there to the restaurant. We're sitting there. I got
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: the wine seller reserved private. But the wine seller is
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: like in the kitchen, but it's glass all the way
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: around it with the bottles in it. But the people
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: in the kitchen can leak in the wine selling. You
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: can look out into the kitchen watching fixed food, but
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: you're in the private room. Real sex, real real code.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: So we eat the dinner. Dessert comes. I know her
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: favorite dessert is chocolate chocolate molten lavacate. So they bought
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: it under the silver dome and they set mind down
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: and they opened it. They took hers and it rolls up,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: and then she looked up under there and she peeked
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: down and she saw that ring. Holly, she started, oh
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: my god, Oh my god, oh my god. And then
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: she just started crying. She just started crying. She came
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: jumped on my lap and she cried. She cried. All
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: the people in the kitchen were standing around the wine
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: selling clapping the food right now. So she finally gets
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: up because she gotta go get herself together. She go
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: in the restaurroom up down there, I'm king right now right.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: She in the restaurom, I thank to manage, I slide
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: him is tipping everything. And so she in the bathroom
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: next to this girl and the girl is crying too,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: and she goes, honey, I know what you're going through.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: They just go sick, don't. They don't ever get anything right,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: she said, Andre says, I'm not. I'm crying because I
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: got a ring. And she pulled a ring on the
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: shoulder too. She said, Honey, that ain't no ring, that's
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: a rock. And they hugged and everything. Margie came out
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: of the bathroom with the girl. They hug and I
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: just wanted to see who did Oh my god, Oh
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: my god, are you Steve? Yeah, you got your Steve Harvey.

- 1:25:02Speaker 1: on there. South Carolina Steve, yes, No, not North Carolina. Probably. Yeah.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: The worst states are Louisiana, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, Georgia,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: and Texas. You guys got all of those. The only
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: one you left out was Nevada. That the Nevada for
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: the worst states for working moms. Yeah, we love Vegas.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: What are you talking about, Jay? Okay, well, Carl, you
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: and I are both working moms. Um. Yeah, you know,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: my mom helped me out a great deal with raising
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: shared and thank god, but it is Yeah, it's hard,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: we can do it. Yeah, I don't want ye about
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: all and not only do you come to you go
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: to all the functions in all the Yeah you're there, Yeah,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: we're there for the alleys and the taboos. And then
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: call me the hair. Yeah yeah, I have to have
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: two daughters in the summertime. When he was spend summer
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: with me, I would do their hair. But it looks
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: right at all. Yeah, they were mad about that they
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: had some baby weeks. You know what, that's a bad daddy.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: You're gonna be with your daddy this summer. Comes get
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: to him. We're gonna get your baby weeds in your secake. Mama,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: gonna bradge your hair, and you ain't gonna take it
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: down to you get back to me looking bad. We're
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: gonna put put the baby here. Why is that so
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: funny though, Because because you can a single daddy and
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: you're about to have your daughters for the summer, you
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: need to invest in Thomas baby right testimony about a baby.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: You know, my daughter came to me this summer and
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: she stayed with me, and I couldn't do her hair.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: But thank God for Tommy and his baby wigs. We
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: had four different baby weeks. We had a front lace
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: baby week, we had a very nice, curly, curly baby week,
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: and then we had the super outfro baby. My baby
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: was at church every Sunday looking so different. Thank you,
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: Tommy for all you've done for the falls out there
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: who after kids in the summer. Tommy, baby, you know
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: what that makes me think of, though, what I want
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: to come back. Please reboot in Living Color Man, Please reboot.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: That's the one to bring back, because baby wigs would
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: be perfect, and you know Homie would not play that.
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: You're not phone all right, We'll have more of this
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: ignorance when we come back. Right after baby weeks. You're
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. George Zimmerman back
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: in the news. You know him, the Florida man who
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: was acquitted for the two thousand twelve killing of Trayvon
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Martin back in two thousand twelve. Well, Zimmerman was arrested
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: again last week for stalking, and he was arrested for
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: stalking and arresting a private investigator whom he threatened to
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: feed to an alligator. Zimmerman was booked into the Seminole
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: County Jail following an investigation into claims made by a
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: private investigator who accused Zimmerman of making threats um the
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: p I. His name is Dennis Warren. He was hired
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: by a production company that was making a documentary about
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: the Trayvon Martin shooting. Warren says he stopped talking to
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: Zimmerman when he started making threats, but Zimmerman continued to
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: stalk and harass him and the documentary's producer. At one point,
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Zimmerman suggested that he was going to feed Warren to
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: an alligator. Deputy say they've recorded fifty five threatening calls,
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: sixty seven text messages, thirty six voicemails, and twenty seven
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: emails from Zimmerman over a ten day period back in December,
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: and one of the Texas Zimmerman concluded a link to
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: an article in which he was quoted as saying, I
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: know how to handle people who mess with me. I
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: have since February of two thousand twelve. Anyone who messes
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: with my parents will be fed to an alligator. And
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: you know that Zimmerman has been released from jail on
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: bond talking How does he keep talking to all the
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: right people? See, all this conversation is directed at the
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: right people. He killed his little boy, That's who he killed.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: Now he running his mouth with his little private He
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: talks to all the right people. What do you mean
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: you know who to pick at? He no easy target.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: It's some people out there that he can all this
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: bravado and grand jill. He could take all this to
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: a certain group of people and we put a stop
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: to that. All that vigor, come on, see all that,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: all that he got, all that he got. Some coward
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: ass messy, a little punk ass talking about talking about
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: anybody messed with me. I've been a boy, boy boy,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: you killed a boy. It's what you coward. You killed
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: a boy with a gun who was unarmed. That's what
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: you did. You ain't a badass, dude. You're not just
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: feeding the alligator to see everything you're gonna do. You
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: stop all that talk. I know people don't do no talking. Yeah,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: don't talk at fifty seven Texas. No, no, And what
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: I'm doing, what you're trying to feed me? Put it
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: I'm doing? Yeah. Yeah, there's some people that that don't talk.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Next thing, you know, you're a nursing behind with me.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: It's somebody talking. There would be no talking. I got
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: some people that will not even somebody to get on
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: you think it is alligant when they show up, they
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: come to deliver a hand. All it is that obviously
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: he does not want them to make the Documentarimman, just
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: that you've heard that. Yeah, and some people to deliver it,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: deliver it, talk tough, don't. And these are two film
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: producers and people like that, like you say, Steve, these
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: kinds of people not you know, people that would come
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: after him, I promise you, his dame. But over a
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: ten day period, threatening calls, sixty seven text messages, thirty
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: six voicemails, twenty seven emails. Geez, all right, we'll be
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: back to close out the show with Steve's closing remarks
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: at forty nine. After you're listening, Dave show. All right,
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: here we are, last break of the day. Time for
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: Steve's closing remarks. Okay, um, today Tommy sent me something,
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: sent me a caption that I'm gonna keep because I
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: oftentimes keep on quotes in my motivational folder in my
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: photo stream, and I just look at them from time
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: to time when I'm feeling a certain kind of way.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: Sometimes I just need a little uplift myself, you know.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: And Tommy sent me this today, and I'm gonna share
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: it with you, and it's gonna call me, cause me
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: to expound on it a bit, because it's something I
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: really do believe in. It says, do not ask God
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: your feet. Do not ask God to guide your footsteps
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: if you're not willing to move your feet. You know, folks,
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: it's very simple. God can put his finger on something
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: to bless if you give him something to put his
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: finger on. But you can't. You can't ask God to
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: do something, and you're making no effort. Lord, help me
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: get a job, but you ain't putting in no applications. Lord,
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: help me do right. But all you ever wanna do
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: is wrong. You're just you're just committed to wrong. You know,
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: you you you gotta make a move in the right direction.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: You know, faith without works is dead, So what time
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: he sent me? Do not ask God to guid your
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet. It's
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: something all of us, and all of us are guilty
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: of it. From time to time, sometimes we get complacent.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: Sometimes we just get the feeling side fire. So you know, man,
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: I guess it ain't meant to be oh Lord, whatnot
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: you know? Look, man, you can complain your way through
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: life if you want to, but you really have to
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: make any tude adjustment. You gotta get two things moving,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: your attitude and your feet. Those two things have to
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: get moving. You gotta start taking steps. You may not
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: know the weight how to get to the finish line,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: but the finish line is somewhere. It ain't where you at.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: The finish line is never where you're standing. So you
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: gotta start taking some steps. And once again, you may
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: not know all the steps necessary to get to the tape,
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: but you gotta start the process. Man. So, like the
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: caption says, stop asking God to guide your footsteps. If
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: you ain't willing to move your feet, you got to
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: put it into motion. Look, it's just a dream when
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: you're thinking about it, but you gotta put some You
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: gotta put your dreams to work. Motivation is when your
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: dreams put on work clothes. You gotta take your dreams
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: and put work clothes on. The man, you gotta start
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: stepping in the right direction. You've gotta make a move
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: towards the light. You've gotta step towards the finished line.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: You've got to start to get the way you're trying
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: to get to. You gotta get to go. You gotta
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: go to get period. You cannot stay that wherever you're
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: trying to get. You can't be right where you at.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: It can't be. It can't be. I'll give you this.
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: This is this is a silly example. But let's say
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: your family reunion is in Wyoming, which I know is not.
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: That's why I said, And you drive to Wyoming. When
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: you get to Wyoming, and you reach Wyoming, the state
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: of Wyoming, you still got to do something because what
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: where is the family union at? It just can't go
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: to whelm me. Well, I'm here, Lord, you here, you well,
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: you even when you get the way you say you're going,
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: you got to move around. Let's say you get to
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: the park where you're holding the family reunion, and you
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: get to the park. Once you get to the park,
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: what what you gotta do something. You're gonna play softball, volleyball,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: You're gonna sit there on a tree, play domino, You're
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: gonna bob kill, You're gonna make eliminade. You constantly gotta
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: be doing something. There is no when you get there,
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: you're there, There is no more movement required. There's movement
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: required throughout your life, because wherever you're trying to get
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: to it ain't where you at. I can promise you
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: that it's never where you at. I'm doing very well
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: in my life. It ain't where I'm going. How would
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: I be just I'm here now? This is this in
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: what No more dreams, Steve, no more visions. You want
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: nothing else you you here, This it for you. And
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: it doesn't matter me that people look at me and go, man,
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: you got all this. I don't need see what you're
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: tripping for. I ain't tripping. I just want to be
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: more than I am. I'm really trying to be a
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: better person. I really really am. I'm not content with
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: the person I am. I could improve. I could actually
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: be a better person. So I'm in the process. God
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: ain't through with me yet. He's working on me. I'm trying.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: I'm better than I used to be, but I'm still
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: got my feet moving. So I'm asking God to guy
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: my steps. But I got my feet moving. Man, stop
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: asking God to guide your footsteps. If you ain't willing
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: to move, your feet can't happen. It's what you want.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: Come on, man, stop that dude, that you're being unreasonable
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: to God guiding your footstep and moving your feet down
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: the path. That's too different that you got to do that.
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: You make one step, he'll make two. So if you
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: don't make the one, you cannot expect him to make
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: the two. He can touch you and bless you, but
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: you gotta give him something to bless you. Gotta do something. O.
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: Case said that, I was watching TV. That's it. Stop
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: asking God to guide your footsteps if you're not willing
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: to move your feet. Thank you, Tommy. That was my
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: clothes up. Drop it? Okay? Who now that actually sounded
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: like a like that was encouraging. Yeah, a good way
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: to start the day. Keep it going, all right, y'all,
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: have a good one. Have a great weekend too. I'll
