- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. Y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in the stuffing through good it sting
- 0:24Speaker 1: to mother. Please, I don't join joining me. You gotta
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn you, you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn
- 1:43Speaker 1: You haven't got to turn them out. Turn the water.
- 1:47Speaker 1: The water got me? Come come on your tha uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show well. If you're more than everybody you are
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on dig me now for
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah, man,
- 2:13Speaker 1: got one. Hey. You know, um, I thought I think
- 2:17Speaker 1: of my life in terms of blessings. You know, I
- 2:19Speaker 1: take mostly a positive approach and a positive spin to
- 2:23Speaker 1: my life. I hardly ever dwell on you know, the
- 2:28Speaker 1: what's well. I can't say that I don't think about
- 2:30Speaker 1: the what's wrong in it because I have to, because
- 2:33Speaker 1: I have to address problems as they arise. But I
- 2:36Speaker 1: try not to let them consume me. I let the
- 2:40Speaker 1: consumption part be about the blessings, the positive things that
- 2:45Speaker 1: has occurred in my life, the good things that God
- 2:48Speaker 1: has done for me, the power that He's displayed in
- 2:52Speaker 1: my life, the protection he's given me over the years
- 2:55Speaker 1: to being tucked under his wings. I focus on the
- 2:59Speaker 1: things that he promises me. I think of all all
- 3:02Speaker 1: the goodness that I perceived to come my way. I
- 3:06Speaker 1: think that has a lot to do with me learning
- 3:08Speaker 1: more and more about the law of attraction in terms
- 3:11Speaker 1: of you know, what you think and what you put
- 3:14Speaker 1: out into space, and what you pray about is what
- 3:17Speaker 1: you receive. You know, and so I've become better and
- 3:21Speaker 1: better at that. It's not to say that I'm I'm
- 3:23Speaker 1: not human and I don't have moments where I think
- 3:27Speaker 1: a little bit too long about what's going wrong and
- 3:30Speaker 1: what enemy is about to attack and what they're going
- 3:33Speaker 1: to do and saying and all of this is his.
- 3:35Speaker 1: That's not to con say that I'm not concerned about it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: But I try to duel mostly on the positive. And
- 3:42Speaker 1: one of the things that I learned, you can have
- 3:45Speaker 1: an incredible life, all of us. We can have incredible
- 3:49Speaker 1: lives if we just let God drive. See. The problem
- 3:55Speaker 1: that I had years ago was I was the driver
- 3:59Speaker 1: of my life, and I was taking myself into directions
- 4:03Speaker 1: that I thought would be best for me, and I
- 4:06Speaker 1: aimed at things that I thought I could accomplish, and
- 4:10Speaker 1: I set goals that I saw myself being able to attain.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I was driving when I gave up and I let
- 4:19Speaker 1: God drive. I then opened up my mind and my
- 4:24Speaker 1: spirit to what God had for me, for what God
- 4:28Speaker 1: could see for me, for what God could do in
- 4:32Speaker 1: my life, well, for what God wanted for me. Now
- 4:37Speaker 1: he wanted for me, and he wanted of me. See,
- 4:41Speaker 1: that's the connection that you got to try to make.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Not try, that's the connection that you got to make
- 4:46Speaker 1: to really get it. Now, listen to me. What I
- 4:49Speaker 1: don't want you to do is do like me. Don't
- 4:52Speaker 1: be afraid of the what for of the what he
- 4:55Speaker 1: wants you to do part see, because that ain't gonna
- 4:58Speaker 1: be nearly as demanding and as offsetting as you think
- 5:01Speaker 1: it's gonna be. See. I thought that if I did
- 5:04Speaker 1: God's will, that if I let God tell me what
- 5:07Speaker 1: to do, that it would cause me to not to
- 5:10Speaker 1: be able to do a certain some things I wanted
- 5:12Speaker 1: to do well, which is true. But the stuff I
- 5:15Speaker 1: wanted to do was all detrimental to my well being
- 5:18Speaker 1: and my future and my growth and development as a man.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I was stopping my own growth as a man because
- 5:25Speaker 1: see I was doing what I thought I should do
- 5:27Speaker 1: as a man. But when you give it over to God,
- 5:30Speaker 1: to God has a much better plan for you than
- 5:32Speaker 1: you can ever have for yourself. And God knows a
- 5:35Speaker 1: better way, far better than the one you know. I
- 5:38Speaker 1: want you to believe that. Man, you gotta understand that
- 5:40Speaker 1: part of it. And that's the part that I finally
- 5:43Speaker 1: got through my head to let God do it his
- 5:45Speaker 1: way and to show me a better way, and to
- 5:49Speaker 1: teach me a better way and expose to me a
- 5:52Speaker 1: better way. And when I opened up my mind to
- 5:54Speaker 1: what God was talking about, I began to see things
- 5:58Speaker 1: totally differently and started coming to me totally differently. If
- 6:03Speaker 1: you've been a friend of mine or a fan of
- 6:05Speaker 1: mine over the years, I mean, you've had to see it,
- 6:09Speaker 1: the change. You've had to see the difference I mean,
- 6:13Speaker 1: And I acknowledge that every chance I get, because I
- 6:16Speaker 1: promised God I would, and I hope that I'm not
- 6:19Speaker 1: falling short in that category. But then again, if I
- 6:22Speaker 1: told it all day long would he done for me?
- 6:25Speaker 1: I still wouldn't have enough time to really explain thoroughly
- 6:29Speaker 1: what He's done for me, because it's such a continuous
- 6:32Speaker 1: growth in me. But now that's not to say that
- 6:35Speaker 1: I'm finished or I'm done or I'm complete, because I'm
- 6:40Speaker 1: still shocked. You can't be him. You can strive for perfection.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I hear people saying it all the time. I applaud
- 6:47Speaker 1: you for saying you want to be perfect, but you
- 6:48Speaker 1: ain't and you can't. So you quit saying it. You
- 6:52Speaker 1: quit saying it to me, quit saying it to other people.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm seeking a life of perfection, but it's something that
- 6:59Speaker 1: you cannot have because he said you can't do it.
- 7:02Speaker 1: But that's what he'd have for. He'd have for the
- 7:04Speaker 1: moments when you stumble and you fall, and you gonna
- 7:07Speaker 1: stumble and fall. See, you got to get that part right,
- 7:09Speaker 1: man to stumbling falling part is coming. But see, you
- 7:13Speaker 1: get God in your life and it helps you so
- 7:15Speaker 1: that you don't stumble, fall, wallow, roll over, laid air, languish.
- 7:20Speaker 1: That's what God is for. So when you stumbling, fall,
- 7:24Speaker 1: you get back up. Because you're going to make mistakes.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You're going to get it wrong, You're going to come
- 7:31Speaker 1: under attack, You're going to be lied about, you are
- 7:34Speaker 1: going to be falsely accused. That's going to happen to
- 7:38Speaker 1: you the moment you make a decision to do better,
- 7:41Speaker 1: the moment you try to be more. The devil got
- 7:44Speaker 1: to send his attackers, man, and he controls certain people.
- 7:48Speaker 1: He just got people as on his side twenty four seven.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You know him too. You've all met one or two
- 7:54Speaker 1: of me in your life. They're just busy with the
- 7:57Speaker 1: business of nothingness. They just busy about to do about
- 8:01Speaker 1: the destruction of others. You said, I know him, you
- 8:04Speaker 1: know him. They coming. But here's what you got to
- 8:07Speaker 1: hold fast too. They can't take away nothing from you
- 8:12Speaker 1: that God gave you. They didn't make you. See, people
- 8:15Speaker 1: who claim to have made you, if they're so in
- 8:19Speaker 1: to make you business, why don't they make theyselves? Or
- 8:23Speaker 1: if they ain't with you no more, and they're so
- 8:25Speaker 1: busy in them I made you business, why don't they
- 8:28Speaker 1: make somebody else? Since since you want to get credit
- 8:31Speaker 1: from making somebody make yourself, if you're responsible for someone
- 8:37Speaker 1: else's success, then you should easily be able to take
- 8:40Speaker 1: claim and be responsible for your own success. See, be
- 8:44Speaker 1: careful of that, and don't and don't don't change your
- 8:47Speaker 1: course because somebody is attacking you with that. I just
- 8:51Speaker 1: hope man, that I'm giving it to God the way
- 8:53Speaker 1: I said I would give it to him, that I
- 8:55Speaker 1: would unload every chance I got that I was supposed
- 8:58Speaker 1: to without being, you know, or here he come again?
- 9:01Speaker 1: You know. I try not to be that, But man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I don't know what else to be for the first
- 9:05Speaker 1: twelve minutes of my show. What else you want me
- 9:07Speaker 1: to say? I got four hours? I can't give God
- 9:10Speaker 1: twelve twelve minutes, man, I mean for real, Steve, come on, man,
- 9:14Speaker 1: I mean, let's look at this right here. If you're
- 9:16Speaker 1: give an honor to God just twelve minutes out the day, dog,
- 9:20Speaker 1: he gave you twenty four hours of luxury in life
- 9:24Speaker 1: and breath and hope and promise, you ain't got twelve
- 9:27Speaker 1: minutes to give him out the day. That don't make
- 9:29Speaker 1: no sense. What an exchange, What a wonderful life God
- 9:33Speaker 1: has given me in exchange for so small of effort
- 9:36Speaker 1: that I put forth. Don't let the effort you got
- 9:39Speaker 1: to put forth to God seems so dawning that you
- 9:41Speaker 1: don't attempt to do it, because man, it seems like
- 9:43Speaker 1: a lot. It ain't nothing to compare to what He'd
- 9:46Speaker 1: be given us for real. So if you want a
- 9:48Speaker 1: real life, you want a real shot at what you
- 9:50Speaker 1: can be, what you can have, what you can own,
- 9:51Speaker 1: what you can become who you really are. Go to God,
- 9:55Speaker 1: let him fix you. Man. That's all you're listening Morning
- 10:00Speaker 1: show ladies and gentlemen. It is now time to start
- 10:05Speaker 1: the show. Five four three two one. It has started.
- 10:12Speaker 1: The countdown was insignificant. The voice didn't elevate. I didn't
- 10:17Speaker 1: get excited. I didn't raise my voice because I wanted
- 10:20Speaker 1: to surprise you by saying, this is Steve Harvey Morta show.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It's all right now, that's all so Charley, Steve, what's happening? Carl?
- 10:34Speaker 1: You are so crazy? What's happening? Julian Mornamental Morna found Yeah,
- 10:42Speaker 1: I'm here. You know, I've been watching the news, and
- 10:47Speaker 1: you know, these rioters now are claiming that they suffered
- 10:50Speaker 1: from Fox ITAs insurrectionist. That's their defenses. They suffered with
- 10:59Speaker 1: Fox Ita. The I'm saying that because they viewed Fox
- 11:05Speaker 1: they were led to act this way, and they're calling
- 11:08Speaker 1: the defense fox ITAs. I just want to say, I
- 11:13Speaker 1: have Fox on my TV two. I ain't climbed the
- 11:16Speaker 1: wall yet, and when and if you do, watching, you're
- 11:21Speaker 1: going to jail a media where you'll be. You're gonna
- 11:25Speaker 1: get inmate ITAs too. Ye right, Hey, today's national Eat
- 11:31Speaker 1: what you want day, whatever you want. I'm just gonna
- 11:35Speaker 1: do that at all yesterday the pandemic. Thanks. So here's
- 11:46Speaker 1: a question, Shirley. If you could eat anything you want
- 11:49Speaker 1: it and when it couldn't hurt you, what would be
- 11:52Speaker 1: the one meal you could have? Oh? Okay, sheatheburger, big
- 11:59Speaker 1: old juicy cheeseburger with a shake, strawberry of course, and
- 12:05Speaker 1: some fries with pizza on the side. It wouldn't hurt me,
- 12:12Speaker 1: you said, it's not gonna hurt me. Perfect Oh yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 1: carlin O, big old, Bigswian rabbi loves her steaks. You
- 12:28Speaker 1: can cook to perfection. What a big old, big old
- 12:34Speaker 1: baked potatoes, A big old with a whole bunch of
- 12:41Speaker 1: sour Korea. Oh bright butter cheese, Junior, what's the meal? Meal?
- 12:49Speaker 1: Any but what a bluebell ice cream? Every flavor, all day,
- 12:52Speaker 1: every day? Tommy, what's the meal? Man? The meal is
- 13:00Speaker 1: Alaskan keen crab. Three pounds drawn butter, yes in the
- 13:09Speaker 1: in the shellar out of the show. Please say three, Craig,
- 13:11Speaker 1: But I'm okay. What a lobster surfing, Terry focus. Real supper.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Here is mine, my mama's fried chicken, Yes, a platter
- 13:29Speaker 1: of it, with my mama's hot homemade light rolls, nothing else,
- 13:38Speaker 1: all right, coming up at thirty two minutes. My mama's
- 13:42Speaker 1: I'm hungry, coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:46Speaker 1: asked the cello. Right after this, you're listening to show.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Coming up next hour, the US Surgeon General, doctor Vivic
- 13:55Speaker 1: Murphy will talk to We will talk to him about
- 13:59Speaker 1: COVID nineteen vaccinations. That's coming up next hour. But right
- 14:03Speaker 1: now it is time for Ask the Clo with Steve Harvey,
- 14:08Speaker 1: the CLO in the building. This one is from William Gary, Indiana.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Willie writes, I'm a fifty six year old married man.
- 14:15Speaker 1: My wife found a condom in my work bag that
- 14:19Speaker 1: had been there since twenty nineteen. I told her I
- 14:23Speaker 1: got it from a healthfare in my office building, but
- 14:26Speaker 1: she didn't believe me. I really did have a one
- 14:29Speaker 1: night stand. Listen to this, guys, I really did have
- 14:32Speaker 1: a one night stand with a coworker two years ago
- 14:35Speaker 1: after an office Christmas party. But it was only once
- 14:38Speaker 1: my wife claimed the lady called her and told her everything.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I panicked and confessed, and then my wife says she
- 14:46Speaker 1: made it all up to get the truth. She wants
- 14:49Speaker 1: the name as the number of the lady, but she's
- 14:52Speaker 1: married to a boxer. How can I get my wife
- 14:55Speaker 1: to leave this? Come on, sell out for you to
- 15:01Speaker 1: be fifty six years old and fall for the old kiddy.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Don't give a damn what you accuse me of. It's
- 15:11Speaker 1: not true. I don't even understand you confess to everything? Yeah, bro,
- 15:17Speaker 1: what's wrong with you? And what what are you doing
- 15:20Speaker 1: with a common still in your bag? From Two Nights
- 15:22Speaker 1: two nineteen o one on one time? Man? Come on
- 15:27Speaker 1: with an idiot. I can't I have told y'all about
- 15:35Speaker 1: this truth. It's way overrated. It's not what you confess it.
- 15:40Speaker 1: She didn't even bust you. No, you saw me where
- 15:46Speaker 1: Wait a minute, we're who what? What woman are you
- 15:49Speaker 1: talking about? When you're talking about You're gonna have to
- 15:54Speaker 1: come up with a name. You got to come up
- 15:56Speaker 1: with some mass. You gotta have a picture. You got
- 15:59Speaker 1: houses like the joke I wrote long time ago. I
- 16:02Speaker 1: don't care if you got a polaroid picture or my
- 16:07Speaker 1: butt jacked up in the air with my social Security number.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Oh my ass, that is not me. Yeah, and I
- 16:20Speaker 1: don't know how this man got my so security number
- 16:24Speaker 1: on his ass or how he even knew it. I
- 16:27Speaker 1: don't know, but it is not me. That's how strong
- 16:33Speaker 1: I am with it. Pretty convincing, Pretty convincing. Um. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: he's in a world of trouble on that one. Uh.
- 16:42Speaker 1: He wants to know how can he get his wife
- 16:43Speaker 1: to leave it alone? Though? That's the question. Cello with
- 16:47Speaker 1: that condom moment. Sure it don't fit hey, dog up,
- 16:53Speaker 1: this is not on Simpson trumb Oh my bad. Oh
- 16:58Speaker 1: if it doesn't fit me much. You can't be married
- 17:02Speaker 1: and have a condom. You can't high getting that bath.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Tell me get us out of that bait. Yeah yeah, okay,
- 17:16Speaker 1: all right, all right, accuse me ship Okay, look I'm
- 17:20Speaker 1: in your bag? What is this? What is this a condom?
- 17:23Speaker 1: What are you doing with the condom in your bag?
- 17:25Speaker 1: What's going on? Condom? Yeah? A count you see it
- 17:29Speaker 1: right here? Let me see it. You know what a
- 17:32Speaker 1: condom is? Here it is look at it. May watch this,
- 17:39Speaker 1: don't notice look at that baby gave you. They was
- 17:42Speaker 1: down here making these balloon animals down here. We're gonna
- 17:49Speaker 1: do something, but it's not mine. Making animals balloon out
- 17:57Speaker 1: of condoms. Yeah, I mean he could have. He could
- 18:01Speaker 1: have ridden with the healthfare in this office building. But
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'd have kept with anything he had that. Yeah, he
- 18:08Speaker 1: had that, that's what. Yeah, all right, we don't know
- 18:11Speaker 1: how you get your wife. I don't know how the
- 18:13Speaker 1: hell it got in that bag. The dudes always planked,
- 18:15Speaker 1: that's man. They told me they was gonna get me. Man.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I told this dude, I planked the dude. I'll be
- 18:22Speaker 1: damn he got Yeah. Yeah, boy, that's better than the balloon. Teddy, Teddy, Teddy,
- 18:29Speaker 1: what's up? You got me? Boyd in my bag? Man?
- 18:35Speaker 1: My wife probably I think by hell broke low something hill.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Eddy's on the other line. You bust the dog. She
- 18:41Speaker 1: got you done? Yeah, tell her and tell her how
- 18:44Speaker 1: we pranked each other. Hell yeah, back and Teddy, he
- 18:50Speaker 1: got to go on with ye. Yeah. All right, here
- 18:54Speaker 1: we go. So that's all we got for you. Thank
- 18:57Speaker 1: you for all. Morgan and Norfolk. Virginia says, I'm in
- 18:59Speaker 1: my late twenties and my girlfriends and I have brunched
- 19:01Speaker 1: together monthly. I live with my boyfriend, but he's always
- 19:05Speaker 1: eager to leave the house when it's my turn to
- 19:07Speaker 1: host the girls for brunch. One of the other girls
- 19:10Speaker 1: in our group is also shacking up with her man.
- 19:12Speaker 1: When we go to her house for brunch, her man
- 19:15Speaker 1: is all up in the mix, gossiping with us, and
- 19:18Speaker 1: it's annoying. We have asked her to control her man,
- 19:21Speaker 1: but she's so excited to have a man that is
- 19:24Speaker 1: clouded her judgment. How can we get him out of
- 19:27Speaker 1: our business? Stop doing it at her house? Yeah, her house.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Take her house after rotation. It's a group of y'all.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Just take her house after rotation. Okay, you can't stop it, dude.
- 19:40Speaker 1: You can't go to dude's house and didn't tell him
- 19:42Speaker 1: don't be there, right, That ain't been the work. Okay,
- 19:47Speaker 1: I like that. See hello, all right? Moving on, Sherry
- 19:50Speaker 1: and Baton. Rouge says, I'm a forty four year old
- 19:52Speaker 1: newly married woman and my twenty year old son moved
- 19:55Speaker 1: back home after living in a dorm. I had no
- 19:58Speaker 1: idea that I raised my son wrong, but my husband
- 20:01Speaker 1: says it's all wrong. It's normal. It's normal for me
- 20:05Speaker 1: to wash and fold my son's clothes so he'll look nice.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I also make him a hot breakfast every morning, and
- 20:11Speaker 1: make him coffee. My husband says, I have to stop
- 20:13Speaker 1: catering to my son immediately or he'll be worthless. Is
- 20:17Speaker 1: this a true statement, very true statement. Yeah. Well, don't
- 20:22Speaker 1: he make his own damn breakfast? Well, don't he wash
- 20:24Speaker 1: his own cloth? He twenty yeah, twenty yeah. That's the
- 20:28Speaker 1: problem a lot of women, you Connolly's boys, until they
- 20:32Speaker 1: just depended. Then when they get a woman, then they
- 20:35Speaker 1: expect the same thing from a woman when a woman
- 20:38Speaker 1: is actually looking for a man. Now he can't cook
- 20:41Speaker 1: or make a damn couple. We're making coffee for every
- 20:43Speaker 1: morning man, even I make my own damn coffee in
- 20:46Speaker 1: the morning. In hell, right, make the money, Thank you, Cello.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Greatest Life coming up next, the nephew would run that
- 20:57Speaker 1: frank back right after this. You're listening show, all right, guys.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we're gonna
- 21:07Speaker 1: talk to the US Surgeon General, doctor Vivic Murphy about
- 21:12Speaker 1: the COVID nineteen nineteen vaccines. So we'll talk about that
- 21:15Speaker 1: a little later at the top of the hour, like
- 21:17Speaker 1: I said, but right now, the nephew is here with
- 21:20Speaker 1: today's run that frank back what you got for us? Nap,
- 21:23Speaker 1: I got quarterback Fnique? Quarterback Fnique? Okay, walked up back,
- 21:32Speaker 1: Let's go cat dog? Hello is this scene? They kids?
- 21:38Speaker 1: This is a Tony. Are you Zao's mama? Excuse me?
- 21:41Speaker 1: You are you are Zao's mom? Yeah? I am Why
- 21:45Speaker 1: who are you? My name is Tony. I'm Deandre's daddy. DeAndre.
- 21:50Speaker 1: They played on this past season. They played on the football.
- 21:53Speaker 1: They played on the on the Seahawks together. Okay, okay,
- 21:56Speaker 1: but like, why are you calling me? Okay, I'm calling
- 22:00Speaker 1: you for a particular reason. Let me tell you what's
- 22:02Speaker 1: going on. There's this whole plan's football season. Your son
- 22:05Speaker 1: and Isaiah. He was a starting quarterback, right yeah, he said, Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 1: he's a thirtain quarterback. He works real hard, like that's
- 22:12Speaker 1: that's a position. Let me tell me, gonna say, I
- 22:14Speaker 1: already know that my son DeAndre is way better than
- 22:18Speaker 1: your son Isaiah. I already know that all right now.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I didn't get to excuse you. No, he don't excuse me.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I'm not gonna excuse myself about this. I've been wanting
- 22:26Speaker 1: to get you on the phone so I can tell
- 22:28Speaker 1: you exactly what's going on. Let me tell you something
- 22:30Speaker 1: that when when the season come back around, when they
- 22:32Speaker 1: get ready to play again, I'm telling you right now,
- 22:35Speaker 1: my son DeAndre gonna be started. Please know that. Just
- 22:38Speaker 1: trust me. I'll swear to you. I know what you
- 22:41Speaker 1: did for your Excuse me, sir, excuse me you you
- 22:44Speaker 1: who do you think you are calling me telling me
- 22:47Speaker 1: that your son is gonna take my fund because this
- 22:48Speaker 1: and on the team. How do you even have my
- 22:50Speaker 1: number I got? I got your number from a reliable start.
- 22:53Speaker 1: What if the parents gave me your number? But what's like,
- 22:56Speaker 1: what kind of mental problems you got calling my house
- 22:59Speaker 1: telling me about your son? And so your son is
- 23:01Speaker 1: like not barely even on the team, he's not even starting, okay, No,
- 23:04Speaker 1: my son eight start. Okay, well he gonna be starting
- 23:08Speaker 1: next year. Okay. But I don't know what you did
- 23:10Speaker 1: for your son to be started. Trust me, I know
- 23:12Speaker 1: what you did. I didn't do anything. My son earned
- 23:15Speaker 1: his position. So I mean, I don't I don't really
- 23:18Speaker 1: get what you're saying here. You're talking about talking some
- 23:20Speaker 1: big game about your son taking my son's position. Like,
- 23:23Speaker 1: first of all, I don't even know who you are.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I don't know how you got my number, Like these
- 23:27Speaker 1: these are kids, it's not it's really not that serious.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Like their kids out there having a good time, trying
- 23:32Speaker 1: to play a game. Like I haven't seen you at
- 23:35Speaker 1: a game. I don't know. I don't know what you
- 23:39Speaker 1: think you are stepping up being like my son is
- 23:42Speaker 1: gonna take your son's position? Like what kind of crazy
- 23:45Speaker 1: are you? You're calling me out of nowhere, out of that,
- 23:47Speaker 1: You're calling me nowhere, out of the clear blue. I'm
- 23:49Speaker 1: just minding my business. My son is playing this game.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Who the are you and why are you calling me?
- 23:54Speaker 1: Like I ain't been to no games, but I'm gonna
- 23:57Speaker 1: be there on next season. I'll be there, Okay, okay,
- 24:00Speaker 1: I I mean you could try. You could try. You
- 24:02Speaker 1: right now want to come to your sons? Still ain't certain,
- 24:05Speaker 1: but let's go. Don't get to the reason why I
- 24:07Speaker 1: call you. I already know why your son started, because
- 24:09Speaker 1: that's going on. That's gonna bet what what? No, my
- 24:13Speaker 1: son is starting because he earned his position. He's the
- 24:15Speaker 1: best on the team. He you you're saying that can
- 24:20Speaker 1: But are you so your son ain't starting because maybe
- 24:22Speaker 1: you maybe you slept, maybe you slept with coach Briant
- 24:25Speaker 1: what wait, excuse you? Did you did you? Did you
- 24:30Speaker 1: sleep with coach Brian so you'll soon Did you get
- 24:32Speaker 1: that position? Did you do that? Your mama's slept with
- 24:35Speaker 1: coach for coach Brian with her drive, that's why your
- 24:38Speaker 1: son ain't playing. What do you think you are accusing
- 24:41Speaker 1: me of sleeping with a coach. Hey, hey, I'm just
- 24:43Speaker 1: I'm just letting you know. I know what you did
- 24:46Speaker 1: for you. You don't know, you don't know, you don't know, okay,
- 24:50Speaker 1: So so so you you singing you ain't seven coach Bran,
- 24:52Speaker 1: that's what you're saying to you. So they are starting
- 24:55Speaker 1: because he just because because he they just picked him
- 24:58Speaker 1: the start. You are crazy. First of all, you're gonna
- 25:01Speaker 1: have to talk to my husband because these accusations are
- 25:06Speaker 1: ridiculous and out of control. Like, I don't know who
- 25:08Speaker 1: the do you think you are? Called the house excusing
- 25:10Speaker 1: me of sleeping with the coach My son earned his
- 25:13Speaker 1: position on the team. He's quite what the who do
- 25:16Speaker 1: you think you are? You are pray Bud? Who is
- 25:19Speaker 1: your hook? Who is that? My husband is Curtis? So
- 25:22Speaker 1: you don't know because you may never showed up for
- 25:24Speaker 1: your own damn son Okay, Curtis, your your little name, Curtis. Okay, okay,
- 25:28Speaker 1: so I'll tell you what I need. I need to
- 25:29Speaker 1: talk to Curtius. You know what I need to do. Oh,
- 25:31Speaker 1: you're gonna more than talk to Curtis. You're gonna catch
- 25:34Speaker 1: some hands from Curtis with that mouth. Okay, all good.
- 25:38Speaker 1: So so so let me answer this. You saw like
- 25:40Speaker 1: Curtis that drive trucks. That's Curtius. I'm talking about Curtis,
- 25:46Speaker 1: my husband and my house. You don't know who we
- 25:48Speaker 1: are because you ain't never showed up. You ain't nobody.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Your kid is nobody who phone call his book? And
- 25:55Speaker 1: you need to call back into whatever the hall you
- 25:57Speaker 1: came out of, because I am not here for this.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Curtis is a truck driver, right, yeah, you're lucky here
- 26:03Speaker 1: on your stober yet. Oh okay, okay, you're trying my Curtis.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Nah nah nah? Can I tell you something else I
- 26:09Speaker 1: didn't find out of my Curtis. I tell you that
- 26:12Speaker 1: I don't. I don't, I don't. I kind of don't
- 26:14Speaker 1: want to hear anything that comes out of your mouth
- 26:15Speaker 1: at this point. I tell you just the last thing
- 26:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna say out of my mouth. Can I just
- 26:20Speaker 1: tell you what I know? By Curtis, you better make
- 26:22Speaker 1: it quick. I'm gonna make it quick. Curtis got me
- 26:26Speaker 1: to play phone. Call you. This is nephew Tommy. Can
- 26:29Speaker 1: this from the Steve Harvey Morning Show? You just got
- 26:31Speaker 1: pranked by your husband purchased? Are you? We're in the
- 26:38Speaker 1: radio right now? No? You right now? But you're gonna
- 26:43Speaker 1: be on in the morning though. Oh my coodn't like.
- 26:48Speaker 1: My heart is racing right now. Can phone and tear
- 26:51Speaker 1: up your throat? Call me? My husband put you up
- 26:55Speaker 1: to this. Your husband got me to call your baby.
- 26:58Speaker 1: He said, your son is a amazing quarterback. I said, cool,
- 27:01Speaker 1: We're gonna do this, yo. You don't understand. My chest
- 27:06Speaker 1: feels like a vice right now. I want to kick
- 27:08Speaker 1: you when and throw Oh my god? All right, Kennis,
- 27:13Speaker 1: you gotta tell me one thing. What's the baddest and
- 27:15Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the land, Steve
- 27:19Speaker 1: Harvey in the morning? Oh my gun and sweating? Yo?
- 27:24Speaker 1: Come on, get a drama, son, Oh lord, you get
- 27:28Speaker 1: a drama? So alright? Yeah, you gonna get some all right,
- 27:35Speaker 1: y'all think it's gonna happen this year Is that what
- 27:37Speaker 1: y'all think. You think it's gonna happen this year? Yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 1: taking bits down in vase. It didn't happen last year
- 27:42Speaker 1: because of the pandemic. So yeah, I can handle it.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I can handle good. I'm somebody. I'm in the gym.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I'm in the gym. I'm good. What you say, Steve,
- 27:57Speaker 1: somebody's gonna snap you about one of these kids one time,
- 28:00Speaker 1: turning about you being in the one they're gonna do
- 28:02Speaker 1: with getting slapped. Oh she did not play by good boy?
- 28:12Speaker 1: All right, thank you enough. Coming up at the top
- 28:14Speaker 1: of the hour, the US Surgeon General will be here
- 28:18Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show Hey, everybody, we
- 28:25Speaker 1: gotta distinguished guests this morning. He's the twenty first Surgeon
- 28:29Speaker 1: General of the United States and uh. He also was
- 28:32Speaker 1: a nineteenth Surgeon General appointed by President Barack Obama from
- 28:36Speaker 1: twenty fourteen to two thousand and seventeen, and prior to
- 28:40Speaker 1: being appointed again as Surgeon General, he served as co
- 28:43Speaker 1: chair on President Biden's Coronavirus Advisory Board. And today we're
- 28:48Speaker 1: going to discuss how COVID nineteen vaccinations are the only
- 28:54Speaker 1: way to end this pandemic. Please Welcome to the show,
- 28:58Speaker 1: Doctor every Murthy. How are you, sir? I'm doing well. Thanks,
- 29:03Speaker 1: thanks for having me on. Listen. We need to have
- 29:06Speaker 1: you on because there's such a debate going on today
- 29:09Speaker 1: about the vaccine should you shouldn't we? That seems to
- 29:14Speaker 1: be a certain sector of the population that's refusing the vaccine.
- 29:19Speaker 1: So we all know that COVID nineteen has caused a
- 29:23Speaker 1: lot of suffering for millions of Americans. That's not up
- 29:27Speaker 1: for debate. And many of us have lost family members
- 29:30Speaker 1: to COVID nineteen, including you. That's true, sir, Could you
- 29:35Speaker 1: share that with us? Well, you know, up until a
- 29:39Speaker 1: few weeks ago, I was you know, I was sharing
- 29:41Speaker 1: from time to time that I've lost seven family members
- 29:44Speaker 1: to COVID nineteen. Just actually this past week we lost
- 29:48Speaker 1: two more family members. So you know, I'm also aware
- 29:52Speaker 1: of that. I'm not that different from a lot of
- 29:54Speaker 1: people out there who have lost family and friends to
- 29:56Speaker 1: this terrible virus. It's one of the reasons I want
- 29:59Speaker 1: to see this this pandemic end, because we've just lost
- 30:02Speaker 1: so many people, well you know, over now five hundred
- 30:05Speaker 1: and sixty thousand people in our country kind to this
- 30:08Speaker 1: virus and so we got to put an end to it.
- 30:10Speaker 1: And it does turn out the getting vaccinated is the fastest,
- 30:14Speaker 1: surest path to get there. Wow. I mean, look, man,
- 30:20Speaker 1: we saw it for your loss. So many people in
- 30:23Speaker 1: this country have lost loved ones, which is which it
- 30:27Speaker 1: kind of amazes me at some of the reservations that
- 30:30Speaker 1: people have about this vaccination. Now we've seen firsthand the
- 30:36Speaker 1: sense of relief that being vaccinated can bring you, because
- 30:40Speaker 1: we've all been vaccinated on this show, Doctor Berthy, how
- 30:46Speaker 1: are the vaccinations going so far in the US. Well,
- 30:51Speaker 1: I'm glad you asked. You know. Overall, it's it's going
- 30:53Speaker 1: pretty well. I think it's going better than we could
- 30:56Speaker 1: have anticipated at this point. Right now, more than one
- 30:59Speaker 1: hundred and fifty million people in our country have received
- 31:02Speaker 1: at least one shot of the vaccine. That's more than
- 31:05Speaker 1: fifty percent of all adults in America. And with this
- 31:09Speaker 1: many people, what's been really interesting, Steve, is that the
- 31:13Speaker 1: number two things we've learned. One is that this continues
- 31:16Speaker 1: to be a really effective vaccine. If you look at
- 31:18Speaker 1: people who are seniors who are sixty five enough, it
- 31:22Speaker 1: turns out that they've gotten vaccine in large numbers, and
- 31:25Speaker 1: the death rate has dropped by more than eighty percent
- 31:28Speaker 1: in that population, which is pretty extraordinary. And but what's
- 31:32Speaker 1: also happened is that the safety profile of these vaccines
- 31:35Speaker 1: has also remained really strong, so very very few in
- 31:39Speaker 1: the way of, you know, any serious side effects, which
- 31:42Speaker 1: is which is really good. That's what you want, you know,
- 31:44Speaker 1: as a doctor, I think about this in the context
- 31:47Speaker 1: of the conversations I've adpotitations over the years, you know,
- 31:50Speaker 1: sitting with them at their bedside, trying to make decisions
- 31:52Speaker 1: about what they should take in terms of medicines. And look,
- 31:55Speaker 1: I think if people out there are questions about the vaccine,
- 31:58Speaker 1: that's okay. You know, if you have questions, you should
- 32:01Speaker 1: get answers to them. You should be careful, right and
- 32:03Speaker 1: thoughtful about what treatments you take. But I think the
- 32:06Speaker 1: good news here is you've got in this vaccine something
- 32:10Speaker 1: that's really effective at preventing COVID and the side effects
- 32:13Speaker 1: that you hear about, because I know some people you
- 32:15Speaker 1: know are worried about it lasting side effects. The side
- 32:19Speaker 1: effects of most people experience actually are fever, chills, body ache, headache,
- 32:24Speaker 1: and fatigue, and those last on the order of hours.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Whereas a protection you get last for months or maybe longer.
- 32:31Speaker 1: So the bottom line is that getting vaccinated is as
- 32:36Speaker 1: the fastest way really to get back to the people
- 32:38Speaker 1: and activities we love. It has benefits that are really high,
- 32:41Speaker 1: the risks are really low, and that's a pretty good deal,
- 32:44Speaker 1: you know, as far as medicines and vaccines go. Let
- 32:48Speaker 1: me ask you this, what's what the major things that
- 32:52Speaker 1: we can do to help in this pandemic? What what
- 32:55Speaker 1: what are the major things we can do? Well? A
- 32:58Speaker 1: great question is Stephen, I'll say, what makes me feel
- 33:01Speaker 1: hopeful about the future is that we are in such
- 33:04Speaker 1: a better place now than we were a year ago.
- 33:07Speaker 1: We still, by the way, we still have too many
- 33:09Speaker 1: infections going on per day, on the average of forty
- 33:12Speaker 1: thousand or more infections still every day in the United States.
- 33:16Speaker 1: But we have a way to turn this pandemic around,
- 33:19Speaker 1: and that's the vaccine. So the key thing that we've
- 33:21Speaker 1: got to do is number one, get vaccinated ourselves. Number two,
- 33:26Speaker 1: turn around and look at the people in your life,
- 33:28Speaker 1: your family, your friends, and people you care about and
- 33:30Speaker 1: ask them if they've got a plan to get vaccinated.
- 33:33Speaker 1: We know that half the people in this country who
- 33:35Speaker 1: are waiting to get vaccinated. They say that a conversation
- 33:38Speaker 1: with a family member or a friend could make the
- 33:40Speaker 1: difference in what they decide to do. That means that
- 33:44Speaker 1: you don't need it to be a doctor or nurse
- 33:45Speaker 1: to make a difference here. If you've got people in
- 33:48Speaker 1: your eyes you care about, you can make the difference
- 33:49Speaker 1: in whether they get vaccinated or not. So have a
- 33:51Speaker 1: conversation with them. If they want information, help them get information.
- 33:55Speaker 1: If they want help. Finding a place to get vaccinated.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Now it's really easy. You can go to vaccines dot gov.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Just put in your your zip code and then you
- 34:05Speaker 1: can find places near you where you can get vaccinated.
- 34:08Speaker 1: You can also text a number you can text equivalent
- 34:11Speaker 1: and get VAC and you text your zip code to
- 34:13Speaker 1: that number and boom, you can get three places right
- 34:16Speaker 1: near you where you can get vaccinated. Or if you
- 34:18Speaker 1: want to do in Spanish, it's a buquanut those six
- 34:21Speaker 1: letters translated to digits, text your zip code, get three
- 34:25Speaker 1: places near you. So these are two simple things you
- 34:27Speaker 1: can do. Get picks vaccinated and talk to your family
- 34:30Speaker 1: and friends to help them get vaccinated. If we do that,
- 34:33Speaker 1: what will happen in this country likely is what we're
- 34:36Speaker 1: seeing now in Israel. Israel hit an interesting threshold now
- 34:41Speaker 1: they're near sixty percent of population vaccinated and they have
- 34:44Speaker 1: seen a dramatic drop across the country in infections and
- 34:49Speaker 1: now as a result, they're able to open up more
- 34:51Speaker 1: and more activities in their country. They're starting to get
- 34:54Speaker 1: back to normal. That's what could happen here if we
- 34:56Speaker 1: get more people vaccinated. That's how we can protect our community. Hey,
- 35:00Speaker 1: doctor Murphy, hold on right there, we're gonna take a break.
- 35:03Speaker 1: We're coming back. We got more with the Surgeon General
- 35:05Speaker 1: right after this. Folks, you're listening to show all right,
- 35:11Speaker 1: we're back and our special guests this morning. This is
- 35:14Speaker 1: the twenty first Surgeon General of the United States and
- 35:17Speaker 1: we're talking about the vaccination. So let me ask you this.
- 35:21Speaker 1: To the person that's wanting to say something to their
- 35:26Speaker 1: family members of friends to convince them of this vaccination,
- 35:31Speaker 1: what would you consider the top selling points they might mention? Well,
- 35:36Speaker 1: here's what I would say. You know, first of all, look,
- 35:39Speaker 1: we should if people have questions, we shouldn't be really
- 35:41Speaker 1: possible about and not judge people. And they can feel bad,
- 35:43Speaker 1: you know, about the questions they have. We don't know
- 35:45Speaker 1: why people have the questions they do. Some people have
- 35:48Speaker 1: had a really bad experience of the healthcare system. Other
- 35:50Speaker 1: people may have seen misinformation online. But I know it's
- 35:53Speaker 1: true or not. And so the first thing I do
- 35:55Speaker 1: is go in there and listen first before we judge.
- 35:57Speaker 1: The second thing I would do is to remind people
- 36:00Speaker 1: that again, over one hundred and fifty million people have
- 36:02Speaker 1: got this and we're seeing it is still a really
- 36:04Speaker 1: good side effect profile, and we're seeing that it's really
- 36:07Speaker 1: effective in dropping depths. And the last thing I tell
- 36:10Speaker 1: them is that remember, ninety percent of doctors have either
- 36:13Speaker 1: gotten VACK Canada or planning to. These are the people
- 36:15Speaker 1: that we go and see about our health, the people
- 36:17Speaker 1: that we trust, they trust and believe in this vaccine.
- 36:21Speaker 1: They're getting it themselves, and that's why, you know, I
- 36:24Speaker 1: think one more reason why we can trust in it.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And finally, just remember this that what we all want
- 36:29Speaker 1: all of that is we want to turn this pandemic around.
- 36:32Speaker 1: We want to protect ourselves, the people we love and
- 36:35Speaker 1: want to get back to doing the things we love
- 36:37Speaker 1: doing as well, getting together with friends, getting back to
- 36:40Speaker 1: school and work, being able to go out to a
- 36:43Speaker 1: ball game and not worry about King getting sick. The
- 36:47Speaker 1: path passes way for us to do that is to
- 36:49Speaker 1: get vaccinated. And see I want to just share one
- 36:52Speaker 1: last thought with just a broad our thought overall, which is,
- 36:56Speaker 1: you know, I know you can read the headlines on
- 36:58Speaker 1: the paper sometimes and feel really down about where we
- 37:01Speaker 1: are right now, that this pandemic has been going on
- 37:03Speaker 1: for over a year to turn people's lives upside down.
- 37:06Speaker 1: A lot of us are just tired, you know. I
- 37:07Speaker 1: feel that two at times just kind of exasperated. You know,
- 37:11Speaker 1: it's just how taxing this whole experience has been. But
- 37:14Speaker 1: I do want people to know that this pandemic will end,
- 37:17Speaker 1: that we will get back to our way of life.
- 37:19Speaker 1: The sooner we get vaccinated, the pasture that will happen.
- 37:21Speaker 1: But what I hope we don't ever forget is what
- 37:24Speaker 1: I believe is one of the greatest lessons of this pandemic,
- 37:27Speaker 1: which is that we need each other, that we can
- 37:30Speaker 1: get through this pandemic alone. COVID has reminded us that
- 37:35Speaker 1: as much as we might share stories about people building
- 37:38Speaker 1: companies on their own or doing extraordinary things, or athletes
- 37:41Speaker 1: who lead their team to success, real life is more
- 37:44Speaker 1: about what people do together. It's about how they support
- 37:47Speaker 1: one another in their journeys. And right now, there are
- 37:48Speaker 1: a lot of people out there who are struggling. Maybe
- 37:51Speaker 1: they lost a job, maybe they lost a loved one,
- 37:53Speaker 1: maybe they're worried about their kids' future. And this is
- 37:56Speaker 1: the time where we need to reach out and help
- 37:58Speaker 1: one another because it isn't serving other people that we
- 38:00Speaker 1: will find our healing as well. And the government can
- 38:03Speaker 1: help it. Turning this pandemic around, helping our communities heal.
- 38:07Speaker 1: It's kind of give all of us standing up, looking
- 38:09Speaker 1: out for one another, supporting one another. That's how we
- 38:12Speaker 1: not only get through this pandemic, but how we come
- 38:14Speaker 1: out on the other side stronger. And even before this
- 38:16Speaker 1: pandemic began. Okay, hey, this is great information. Can you
- 38:20Speaker 1: sit tight for us, doctor Murphy. We got to take
- 38:22Speaker 1: a quick break and we come back. We'll close out
- 38:24Speaker 1: with the Surgeon General right after this. You're listening to
- 38:29Speaker 1: show all right, we're back, everybody and our special guests
- 38:33Speaker 1: in Surgeon General of the United States, doctor Murphy, and
- 38:38Speaker 1: we're discussing the vaccination the pandemic. In our lifetime, none
- 38:43Speaker 1: of us have faced anything like this, and it has
- 38:46Speaker 1: cost so many people, so many precious lives, and you know,
- 38:51Speaker 1: I mean all of us wanted to end. We are exhausted.
- 38:54Speaker 1: You know, I'm tired of these masks. I'm tired of
- 38:58Speaker 1: places not being open. Mean, you're exhausted from it. But
- 39:03Speaker 1: there's light at the end of the tunnel finally, And
- 39:06Speaker 1: I mean really appreciate the efforts of Biden Harris presidency.
- 39:13Speaker 1: They really came in with a real effort to get
- 39:18Speaker 1: this thing could tail. And I appreciate the efforts they're
- 39:21Speaker 1: making getting the country vaccinated. And thank you, sir for
- 39:24Speaker 1: sharing your thoughts with us and what we're doing. And
- 39:27Speaker 1: we're on top of it. And if I don't notice,
- 39:29Speaker 1: don't just probably ain't gonna solve the problem. But in
- 39:32Speaker 1: my own little way, my contribution to this whole thing is,
- 39:35Speaker 1: if you ain't vascinated, don't bring your ass around me.
- 39:39Speaker 1: And I just wanted to say that from all the
- 39:43Speaker 1: depth in my heart. Well, doctor murphin need he need help.
- 39:46Speaker 1: All every little bit helps. And you know, if you
- 39:48Speaker 1: can make a small contribution in your own way, maybe
- 39:52Speaker 1: you have a way that you want to lend yourself
- 39:55Speaker 1: to it. You know, you know, vascinate or hibinate, you know, whatever,
- 39:59Speaker 1: you want to do something, pick something and we apologize,
- 40:05Speaker 1: well with you. You know that's a that's a good
- 40:11Speaker 1: one to apologize. I apologize that I don't care for
- 40:14Speaker 1: sick ass people. I'm coming up with several things, yeah,
- 40:19Speaker 1: to just with you know what I'm saying, I just
- 40:22Speaker 1: don't care for sick people. Vaccinator, hobbitate, you know what
- 40:26Speaker 1: you want to do, you know, or you know it's
- 40:29Speaker 1: just I got more, but I won't share with you now.
- 40:32Speaker 1: But if you need any help with a campaign slogan,
- 40:35Speaker 1: call your man Steve, and I'll have a whole lot
- 40:39Speaker 1: of very catching and catching phrases. You know. Do you
- 40:44Speaker 1: think doctor Murphy's mother would approve Steve. Yeah, she's a
- 40:48Speaker 1: big fan. I understand she watches a family. You know,
- 40:53Speaker 1: I don't think you could do wrong in her eyes. Yeah,
- 40:56Speaker 1: so the doctor. I think you said right. We need
- 40:59Speaker 1: every one to step up and to do their part
- 41:03Speaker 1: in their own ways. You know that each of us.
- 41:05Speaker 1: The thing is, it's easy to feel like you don't
- 41:06Speaker 1: have power today in society, but each of us, the
- 41:09Speaker 1: people who trust us and who listen to us, and
- 41:12Speaker 1: if we turn out to have a conversation with them.
- 41:13Speaker 1: You never know. If that's a conversation, it's going to
- 41:15Speaker 1: change someone's mind and help save their life. And that's
- 41:18Speaker 1: what we all do that for the people in our life.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I have no doubt that we will get our country
- 41:23Speaker 1: vaccinated and that we will protect our communities and we
- 41:25Speaker 1: will end this pandemic. Yeah, yes, well doctor, thank you
- 41:30Speaker 1: so much. And one last slogan. You know, sorry again
- 41:37Speaker 1: doctor Burley. You know, uh, needles are scary. It might
- 41:41Speaker 1: cause you to cry, but at least if you get it,
- 41:44Speaker 1: your ass won't die. Thank you. That's a new T shirt.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I'll be putting that one out. We'll put the Surgeon
- 41:51Speaker 1: General cross the bottom with that and with the word boom. Yeah,
- 41:59Speaker 1: doctor ver Thing, thank you so much for joining us today, sir,
- 42:03Speaker 1: Thank you so much. It was so nice to speak
- 42:05Speaker 1: with you in the whole team. Thank you all for
- 42:06Speaker 1: what you're doing to help you right so, you know,
- 42:10Speaker 1: we we're just doing our part. You know, you gotta
- 42:12Speaker 1: help logans listen in here all more than I'm gonna
- 42:18Speaker 1: be coming up with slogans to help you get fascinated.
- 42:22Speaker 1: My favorite though so far though, is vaccinate or hibernate.
- 42:25Speaker 1: I like you a lot to do. One last thing
- 42:29Speaker 1: I would just share you. Hey, I'm so here, But
- 42:40Speaker 1: one thing I just tend to say, if you, if
- 42:42Speaker 1: you're actually about wanting to potentially do more. We're trying
- 42:46Speaker 1: to work on some creative ideas for things that we
- 42:48Speaker 1: could do that would be fun and interesting and also
- 42:51Speaker 1: reach the community. Yeah so yeah, well I would love
- 42:55Speaker 1: to just brainstorms and things that we could potentially do
- 42:58Speaker 1: together down the line, I would do. Thank you, sir.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Sound good? All right? Coming up next it is the
- 43:04Speaker 1: nephew with the prank phone call. Right after this, you're
- 43:07Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 43:12Speaker 1: of the hour. Right about four minutes after, it's my
- 43:14Speaker 1: strawberry letter for today. The subject she loves me, I
- 43:18Speaker 1: love her not. But right now the nephew is here
- 43:22Speaker 1: with today's prank phone call. We'll get into the strawberry
- 43:25Speaker 1: letter in a minute, But nephew, what do you have
- 43:27Speaker 1: for us? Right now? It's time to hit the pool.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Summertime it's coming. It's here. Basically, title is Naked Lifeguard
- 43:39Speaker 1: Naked What Lifeguard? Don't don't, don't, don't let this bother you,
- 43:43Speaker 1: don't bother me, Life Okay, I know I ain't the
- 43:48Speaker 1: only one on this shoulder swam naked. I know I
- 43:51Speaker 1: ain't the old Let's go cat make a lifeguard. Hello. Hello,
- 43:58Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a carry. Yes, this is carried
- 44:03Speaker 1: hi carry. My name is Oliver. You put in an
- 44:07Speaker 1: application with the employment agency about looking fortunate work as
- 44:11Speaker 1: far as being a lifeguard. Oh yeah, I did. Okay,
- 44:14Speaker 1: have you had much experience being a lifeguard? Yeah, I've
- 44:18Speaker 1: been doing this for a while nowt back since I
- 44:21Speaker 1: was like eighteen i got my CPR certification. I've had
- 44:28Speaker 1: as many as like two hundred people at one time
- 44:31Speaker 1: watching them. So I'm good. I'm good at what I do.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I love it, very good, very good. Well, i'll tell
- 44:37Speaker 1: you what. I've looked over your application and I've checked
- 44:40Speaker 1: everything out thoroughly, and I'm very excited about maybe getting
- 44:44Speaker 1: you too. I don't know if you're familiar with it,
- 44:46Speaker 1: but public pool it's actually in a subdivision. There's two
- 44:51Speaker 1: pools there. Are you familiar with Yeah, I'm familiar with it.
- 44:54Speaker 1: They're they're near where I live. Yeah, okay, Well, there's
- 44:57Speaker 1: actually in the back of there's a gated community and
- 45:02Speaker 1: that is actually the particular property that I'm talking about.
- 45:05Speaker 1: You coming out and working for us there at the
- 45:08Speaker 1: pool site. If we can get you on Monday to Friday,
- 45:11Speaker 1: we're gonna actually hire some some more college students for
- 45:16Speaker 1: for Saturday and Sunday. What do you say, Oh, I say, okay,
- 45:19Speaker 1: that sounds great money to Friday weekends off. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Now we start off. Job actually pays twenty five dollars
- 45:28Speaker 1: an hour. Wow. You would be our head lifeguard and
- 45:34Speaker 1: we would we would want you to be there from
- 45:36Speaker 1: you know. I mean if you start at twelve, we'd
- 45:38Speaker 1: actually like you to get there around eleven thirty, you know,
- 45:41Speaker 1: just just to be prepared and be the overseer and
- 45:44Speaker 1: make sure the other lifeguards get there on time. And
- 45:47Speaker 1: you know, we'll go from there. Now. Carry there's only
- 45:50Speaker 1: one catch that that actually comes along with this job.
- 45:53Speaker 1: We want you to work an additional four hours from
- 45:56Speaker 1: six to ten at night. But it's gonna pay you
- 45:59Speaker 1: fifty dollars per hour, so you'll make an extra two
- 46:02Speaker 1: hundred dollars. How do you feel about that? Man? I
- 46:04Speaker 1: feel good. I mean, with the recession and everything, I
- 46:08Speaker 1: can use that money right now, especially during the summertime. Okay,
- 46:12Speaker 1: now here's the deal. This is in a gated community,
- 46:14Speaker 1: like I told you before, but also it's gonna be
- 46:17Speaker 1: adults at night, and they are actually gonna be swimming nude. Yeah,
- 46:25Speaker 1: they're gonna be swimming nude. And what they ask is,
- 46:28Speaker 1: if they're gonna be swimming nude, they want to make
- 46:30Speaker 1: sure that the lifeguard that's protecting them is gonna be
- 46:33Speaker 1: nude as well. Okay, I'm a certified lifeguard, I'm CPR certified,
- 46:41Speaker 1: I'm a student. I've had other jobs, but nudity wasn't
- 46:45Speaker 1: on my resume, and I understand that wholeheartedly. But we're
- 46:50Speaker 1: talking about you possibly making seventeen hundred and fifty dollars
- 46:54Speaker 1: a week. How you feel about seventeen hundred and fifty
- 46:56Speaker 1: a week for your nursing school. I'm sure that'll that'll
- 46:58Speaker 1: definitely pay for it about the entire summer. That should
- 47:01Speaker 1: be a big help, shouldn't it? Yeah? It would, But
- 47:06Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, are you are you? How do
- 47:08Speaker 1: you feel about trying it for a few weeks and
- 47:11Speaker 1: then you know, how do you feel about that? I
- 47:14Speaker 1: don't know, but I mean, you're gonna watch over with
- 47:17Speaker 1: some adults who are actually just gonna be nude in
- 47:20Speaker 1: the pool, and you're nude as well up on the
- 47:22Speaker 1: big chair that overwatches everybody. Seventeen fifty I don't seventeen
- 47:31Speaker 1: fifty carry, you know, I don't think I'm gonna be
- 47:34Speaker 1: able to do that seventeen fifty carry. We're talking about
- 47:38Speaker 1: four hours of you being nude, along with some other
- 47:41Speaker 1: people that are already new to I mean, what's the
- 47:43Speaker 1: big deal. You know. What we need you to do
- 47:45Speaker 1: is come down. We're gonna do some drills, some lifeguard drills,
- 47:48Speaker 1: and make sure that you're definitely qualified. But we're gonna
- 47:51Speaker 1: make sure that when you do those, you gotta be
- 47:53Speaker 1: naked as well. Okay, what what Why would I have
- 47:56Speaker 1: to do some drills naked? Ready? A life car? What
- 48:01Speaker 1: do I need to drink? And I understand that, but
- 48:03Speaker 1: in order we for our particular property, we gotta make
- 48:06Speaker 1: sure that you're actually prepared and ready. You know, understand. Well,
- 48:10Speaker 1: that's the way it is, Carrot. We need you to
- 48:12Speaker 1: come down and do some drills. It's not gonna take
- 48:16Speaker 1: a long probably about a half hour. You come down,
- 48:18Speaker 1: you get undrafted, you get in the pool, and we
- 48:20Speaker 1: make sure that you're qualified um to swim, nude, to
- 48:24Speaker 1: handle to saving somebody's life, nude, the whole nine yards.
- 48:27Speaker 1: But I mean, what if my family come to that?
- 48:31Speaker 1: You know what, Carrie? You know I can't go back
- 48:34Speaker 1: and forth with you. I can't now. I know you
- 48:36Speaker 1: you you know. I looked at your resume. I looked
- 48:38Speaker 1: at what you were doing and what you're pursuing in life,
- 48:41Speaker 1: and I thought this would be a great opportunity for you.
- 48:43Speaker 1: But I can't be here. I mean, I can't do
- 48:45Speaker 1: that to my family. You can know. No, wait a minute,
- 48:48Speaker 1: hang on a second. Now, you can't tell me you
- 48:50Speaker 1: can't do it now? Oh yes, yes, I can't. You
- 48:54Speaker 1: get yours down here in the morning so I can
- 48:56Speaker 1: get these drills done. And I want you naked when
- 48:58Speaker 1: you get here and getting this pool. You understand me?
- 49:01Speaker 1: Who the hell do you think you're talking to? Are
- 49:03Speaker 1: you some kind of Paul pimp? Life guard? Human resources
- 49:07Speaker 1: hiring pimp? You're new pimping me. I don't have to
- 49:09Speaker 1: come down there. If I want to come down there.
- 49:12Speaker 1: You got a free thinking tomorrow and get in this
- 49:15Speaker 1: pool and do it. Thrill. Do you think you're talking too?
- 49:18Speaker 1: I'm talking to you. You tomorrow and you do the
- 49:21Speaker 1: srill need to do. It's go get you a Pameladising
- 49:24Speaker 1: baywatching because I need to watch what's got be doing
- 49:29Speaker 1: a new brasstro for you all freaking I don't know them.
- 49:32Speaker 1: I don't know them people. I don't give it who
- 49:35Speaker 1: you know? Now, you get your down here and you
- 49:37Speaker 1: take the job. I'm not coming down that to your

- 49:44Speaker 1: new for a bunch of runchy I don't know you
- 49:47Speaker 1: take your time to I'm trying to be nice to
- 49:49Speaker 1: you when you come around with that stud. But because

- 50:16Speaker 1: want to say to you. You're listening, you know what?
- 50:18Speaker 1: You've got a gray head? And stay because I'm about
- 50:20Speaker 1: to hang up this phone in your face right now.
- 50:23Speaker 1: This has left you, Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 50:39Speaker 1: franks you baby, your girlfriend frank to you. When I
- 50:43Speaker 1: see it, She's gonna have one list float. Who can

- 50:50Speaker 1: gotta ask you something, baby, what is what is the
- 50:53Speaker 1: baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the land,
- 50:58Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey her voice. I thought about it, and
- 51:11Speaker 1: I can't do that. I just can't do that to
- 51:14Speaker 1: my family. Right, she really was get your black ass
- 51:21Speaker 1: down to Like Tommy, I would have been down there
- 51:26Speaker 1: for show. I got my daddy. But Tommy, you kind
- 51:30Speaker 1: of blew it in the beginning. You know you're gonna
- 51:32Speaker 1: be at the pool. You're gonna be like the head. Uh,
- 51:35Speaker 1: you're gonna be the overseer, I said, kind of slave ass.
- 51:39Speaker 1: He's gonna be the overseers. What did his old ass
- 51:43Speaker 1: say that this young overseer? Or damn well? That that point?

- 52:26Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 52:29Speaker 1: going to read this one right here, right now. Yeah,
- 52:32Speaker 1: buggle up and hold on time. We got it for
- 52:34Speaker 1: you here. It needs the Strawberry Letter. Thank you. Nephew's
- 52:38Speaker 1: subject she loves me. I love her, not Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:43Speaker 1: I'm a thirty six year old male and I misjudged
- 52:46Speaker 1: my fiance. I met her on social media and we
- 52:50Speaker 1: had a long distance relationship for five months. When I
- 52:53Speaker 1: first visited her, I should have known better than pursue her.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Than to pursue her. She's thirty two years old and
- 53:00Speaker 1: lived with her mom, her three children, her two sisters,
- 53:04Speaker 1: and two nieces. But she was always well put together
- 53:08Speaker 1: and she had her own tax business, so I gave
- 53:11Speaker 1: it a chance. She is the most beautiful woman I've
- 53:14Speaker 1: ever met, with long golden brown hair and freckles on
- 53:18Speaker 1: her nose. She's also got a body like Serena Williams,
- 53:23Speaker 1: so after just five months of dating, I asked her
- 53:27Speaker 1: to marry me. She was overjoyed and said she wanted
- 53:31Speaker 1: to bring the kids the next time she came to
- 53:33Speaker 1: my house. I have only two bedrooms since I used
- 53:36Speaker 1: my third bedroom as an office and my gym. The
- 53:39Speaker 1: next week she came with the kids on a Sunday.
- 53:42Speaker 1: We got them settled and I went to work. On Monday.
- 53:45Speaker 1: I got home from work and it smelled like she
- 53:48Speaker 1: had been frying chicken and boiling chitterlings. The two year
- 53:53Speaker 1: old's diaper was off and it was in the middle
- 53:56Speaker 1: of the floor. There was an air mattress in my office,
- 54:00Speaker 1: and the eight year old said his mom bought it
- 54:03Speaker 1: so he could have his own room. The six year
- 54:05Speaker 1: old girl was sitting there playing with my laptop. My
- 54:08Speaker 1: fiance was in the bed watching TV, still in her
- 54:11Speaker 1: bonnet and pajamas. I told her the house was a mess,
- 54:14Speaker 1: and she said that's how it is with kids quarantined
- 54:17Speaker 1: all day. This was just the first day. Now it's
- 54:21Speaker 1: been three weeks and all we do is argue about
- 54:24Speaker 1: discipline and cleaning up. I'd fallen out of love with her,
- 54:28Speaker 1: she's made herself at home and thinks we're still getting married.
- 54:32Speaker 1: How do I tell her it's time for her and
- 54:34Speaker 1: the kids to leave? Well, unless you you know, you
- 54:41Speaker 1: can afford to get a bigger house and a nanny
- 54:43Speaker 1: and a maid and all that stuff. I just say,
- 54:46Speaker 1: you know, you pull her to the side, open up
- 54:48Speaker 1: your mouth and tell her that this is not going
- 54:50Speaker 1: to work. Period. The same, same, same behavior, lazy, nasty, sinky,
- 54:59Speaker 1: all that it's gonna get even worse when you marry
- 55:02Speaker 1: this woman. Okay, so you gotta stop the madness. Now
- 55:06Speaker 1: you've only known her for five months. You've only known
- 55:09Speaker 1: her for five months, that's no time at all. She
- 55:11Speaker 1: said yes to her your proposal right away because she
- 55:14Speaker 1: wanted to get out of her mom's house with her mom,
- 55:17Speaker 1: her two sisters, and her two nieces. That's pretty crowded.
- 55:21Speaker 1: It's two crowded. Um. So, uh, you know, I just
- 55:27Speaker 1: think because because don't I'll put it this way. Don't
- 55:30Speaker 1: you think it's a little odd that she didn't say,
- 55:32Speaker 1: let's wait a while after you proposed, you know, let's
- 55:35Speaker 1: wait a little while. What's the rush? I would like
- 55:38Speaker 1: to get to know you a little better, um, I
- 55:42Speaker 1: have to be sure about who I bring my kids around,
- 55:44Speaker 1: et cetera, et cetera. Usually women with kids required that
- 55:49Speaker 1: you know, but but not this one. She was. She
- 55:52Speaker 1: was pretty eager to jump one in. Uh, you know,
- 55:56Speaker 1: like you're some sort of captain save to her and
- 56:00Speaker 1: her kids, will you know, have their own place? She
- 56:03Speaker 1: was thinking, they'll have their own rooms with you. This
- 56:07Speaker 1: is great, this is perfect for them. So to you,
- 56:10Speaker 1: I say, if you don't want to marry her, get
- 56:13Speaker 1: out now, because it's not gonna get any better if
- 56:15Speaker 1: you guys get married. Steve, Wow, this letter so stupid.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. You know this thirty six year old
- 56:28Speaker 1: mail has misjudged his fiance, But let me tell you
- 56:35Speaker 1: how quickly he misjudging. Now, he met this woman on
- 56:38Speaker 1: social media long distance relationship for five most and you
- 56:45Speaker 1: visited her, and you said after the first vision you
- 56:49Speaker 1: should have known better than to pursue her. And here's why.
- 56:53Speaker 1: She thirty two years old. She lived with her mama,
- 56:57Speaker 1: her three children, her two sisters, and two nieces. Okay,
- 57:05Speaker 1: that's a lot dog a a lot of people living
- 57:09Speaker 1: in the house. But then here where you got see
- 57:14Speaker 1: you met her on social media, and he was here.
- 57:18Speaker 1: What you said? She's always well put together and she
- 57:22Speaker 1: got her own tax business, So I gave it a chance. Dog,
- 57:30Speaker 1: That ain't why you gave it a chance. Here's the
- 57:34Speaker 1: real reason. She's the most beautiful woman I've ever met,
- 57:39Speaker 1: with long golden brown hair and freckles on her nose.
- 57:45Speaker 1: She also got a body like Serena Williams. Now you
- 57:50Speaker 1: got that everybody. Then guess what? So after five months
- 57:55Speaker 1: of dating her, I asked her to marry me. Boy boy,
- 58:01Speaker 1: freckles on the nose, long golden brown hell and the
- 58:06Speaker 1: body like Serena Williams. And five months of that, you
- 58:10Speaker 1: asked her to marry you. So you didn't ignore her
- 58:16Speaker 1: living conditions, right, the three kids, to staying with her mama,
- 58:22Speaker 1: her two sisters, two nieces. You know that all because
- 58:29Speaker 1: of the body like Serena Williams. Don't what this all about?
- 58:35Speaker 1: Five months of that Serena Williams body, and you asked
- 58:38Speaker 1: her to marry you. Then your dumb ass, Well, she
- 58:43Speaker 1: said she wants you to meet the kids. She says
- 58:45Speaker 1: she'd bring them over next time she comes. And she
- 58:48Speaker 1: ain't left get us after the break. Hang on, all right,
- 58:55Speaker 1: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 58:57Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour, subject she loves me,
- 59:01Speaker 1: I love her not. We'll get back into it right
- 59:04Speaker 1: after this. You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 59:09Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject she loves me,
- 59:13Speaker 1: I love her not. Yeah, we got a problem with
- 59:16Speaker 1: this letter right here. Thirty six year old man. Didn't
- 59:19Speaker 1: miss judge your fiance. You didn't miss judge her. You
- 59:23Speaker 1: didn't miss judge your dog. You didn't pay attention to it.
- 59:27Speaker 1: You didn't misjudge. You passed the other judgment. See, you
- 59:32Speaker 1: didn't miss judge you. When you found out you saw
- 59:35Speaker 1: on social media highlight reel was incredible. She on I
- 59:39Speaker 1: g with all the banging outfits, everything, all this hill.
- 59:44Speaker 1: But when you visited hug she was thirty two, live
- 59:50Speaker 1: with her mama, her three kids, her two sisters and
- 59:53Speaker 1: two nis. But she was always well put together. She
- 59:58Speaker 1: had her own tax bill. So you gave her a chance. Now,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: this is why you gave her a chance to She
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the most beautiful woman I've ever met, long, golden brown hair,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: freckles on the nose, She got a body like Serena will.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: So after five months of Dayton, five damn months, you
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: asked her to marry you. That's all. It took a
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: body like Serena, some long hail, and some damn freckles,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: and now you want to get married, boy, you do.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: She was overjoyed. Shirley said she wanted to bring the
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: kids and next time she came to my house. Now
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: the dude say, he only got two bedrooms and I
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: use your third bedroom as an office in my gym. Well,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: the next week she came with the kids on a Sunday.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: We got them settled. He got to work on Monday.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: He come home from work. It smells like she's been
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: in that fried chicken and ball and chitlings. The two
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: year old diaper is off and in the middle of
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: the floor. That was the chitlings right now. Because that
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: two year old can walk now, he probably took it
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: off hisself. My little grandson could do that. He took
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: a dive off the other day and just walked off
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: from it and I walked right into it, turned right
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: around when he got his damn daddy, I'm not touching it.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: Then left the dive in the middle of the floor.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: That was an a mattress in your office. The eight
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: year old said, his mom bought it so he could
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: have his own room. So now this boy got his
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: own room. The six year old girl was sitting there
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: playing with your laptop and your fiance. The most beautiful
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: woman in the world, with the long brown hair, with
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: the freckles and the body like Serena. She was in
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: bad watching TV in her bonnet and pajamas. Bonnet, bonnet,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: you gotta keep your hair together all day, the bonnet.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I told her the house was a mess. She said,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: that's how it is when you got kids. Quarantine all day. Okay,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: So now babay kids have moved into your house. You
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: got Babay kids, and they and that tann it up.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: So now it's been three weeks. All we do is
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: argue about discipline and cleaning up out of falling out
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: of love with her. She'd made herself at home, and
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: she thinks we're still getting married. How do I tell
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: her it's time for her and her kids to leave? Hey, Serena,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: it's time for you and your kids to leave. Hey, Serena,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I ain't in love with you no more. I don't
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: know what the hell I was saying, thinking about and
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: after five months you could say that, right, Hey, Serena,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I'm not even in love with you anymore. A matter
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: of fact, I misjudge you. A matter of fact. It's
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: all on me. I'm stupid, I forgot. I don't even
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: want to be married. Oh, it's gonna be a fight.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: She gonna have to go back over there with her
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: mom and d Yeah, but you're sitting up in here, man,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: with baby kids, telling your house up, your three bedroom
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: apartment gone. Now. I don't mind the kids, the amount
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: of kids. That ain't what I'm talking about. Your problem
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: is the way they're spreading on you, bro, me personally,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: you gotta get out of there, and the best way
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: to do it is just to say it's right, this
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: ain't good right here, man, coming home, damn, sending them
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: in my laptop like six, playing on like this, like
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: this a tablet or something, no toy. That's what happened, Steve.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Right when you only have known someone for five months,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: that's exactly right. But five months and you have to
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: marry you. What did she do to you? Now? She
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: obviously good at it. I got that. Yeah, she didn't
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: turned you out? Now, bro, she ain't who you thought
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: she was. You cannot marry this woman though. First of all,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: you ain't in love with her, so you should never
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: marry anybody you ain't in love with it. But secondly, though, bro,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: that house is gonna be nasty for a long time.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: This I do when you got kids, and you obviously
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: ain't got no kids. Now you got a whole family.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: It's a lot. This is a lot. This way, it
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: passed a lot. Yeah, it's too much. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: just drive. But it's his house every day. Y'all just
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: ruined my credit for seven years. Man. That's all right.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna p all right, thank you Steve for you comment.

- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Third Annual five K Run and fun walk helping people
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: with siple cell is going on June fifth, eight am
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: at the markets Hunty Hill Bridge. Go to kiers Hope
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: dot org. Hey, I e R s Hope dot org
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: to register and come out and hangdo that's maybe have
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: us a great time. It's sports though. This is the
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: biggest news in sports right now. The reigning NFL MVP,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers won't's out of Green Bay, right, Yeah, Aaron
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Rodgers won't out. You know, last year the draft, the
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: drafted his replacement, Jordan Love out of Utah out of
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Utah State. This year they didn't draft him any help
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: at any of the positions. And now he wants out
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: his contract. He would They will offer him a new contract.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: He would be the highest paid quarterback in the NFL.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: But he won't out. He won't you know what I'm saying,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: his new contract. Yeah, give one. They want to give
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: him one. Man, But hold on, this is look at this,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: this is crazy part. Either he can go to San Francisco,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: great team, or he can go to Denver Broncos, be
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: an asset there. But here another team in the hunt,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: the Cleveland Browns. Now what let me let me tell
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: you what's so funny about Cleve Brown. The Cleveland Brown
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: said they're not gonna get rid of Baker Mayfield for
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers. That is that really true in Cleveland? Up,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: that's a true statement. They're gonna ride it out with
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Baker because we would have to gut our team. We
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: would have to lose too many valuable players. And we
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: just had a great draft and we had a great
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: offseason with free agency. So we give up Baker Mayfield
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: for Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, but we don't know how much
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: longer he gonna play, and we gonna have to give
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: up too much. We got a great line, we got
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: great running backs, we got a strong defensive open we
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: gotta i mean, y'all detection. So what y'all wanted, you know? Okay,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: let's just say this though, would you take Aaron Roddy
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: if you didn't have to give up everything? We just
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: we're just all yeah, but that I don't think that's
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: a real conversation. I'd be stunned if it is, because
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: they'd have to give up a lot to get an Rodgers.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: But if we had a Rodgers, we're in the super Bowl.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: You you that with We're in the Super Bowl, as
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: soon as he signed the line, we're a damn super
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: I thought it, man, I thought it'd be a great
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: placed the play old man with weapons like Odell Beckham
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Junior over there. Man, it would be a good it'd
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: be a good city for me. You know all, I
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: don't laughing. Y'all doing high. We know who ain't gonna
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: be in the day. Wait we go. Can't you say
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: that we got some stuff with reconstruction? All right, we'll
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: be back with at the time of the hour. Right
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show they will do anything,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I mean anything to stop our vote. Take a listen
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: to the exchange from the Texas House when a Texas
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Democrat school to Texas Republican on the purity of the
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: ballot box. Take a listen to this. That provision was
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: drafted specifically to disenfranchise black people, black voters in fact,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: following the Civil War. Did you know that? No, that's
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: that's I'm sorry to hear that. And are you familiar
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: with white primaries. We've we've heard and read of such things.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: I'm glad you read about these disgusting thing. Yes, did
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: you realize that that purity of the ballot box language
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: in the Texas Constitution gave rise to all white primaries. No, no,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I didn't. And did you know that this purity at
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: the ballot box justification was also used during the Jim
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Crow area to prevent black people from voting. No, no,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: those are those are troubling things that I didn't know
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: that was there. Did you know that in states accounts
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: across the country that penal disenfranchisement schemes were put in place,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: including in Texas, as far back as eighteen forty five,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: to effectively lock African American people out of the political process.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: You're aware of this history. I wasn't aware of any
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: kind of malicious intentnees of that term, okay. And the
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: reason it was used is I looked at the Constitution
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: because I believe our authority derived from the people. On
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: that s gimize sounds expired. Okay, that's about And at
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: how is he even a politician at this point? Is
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: a Texas Republican? Well you know to that, we say,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Nations, stay woke. The Four the People Act
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: is headed to the Senate Rules Committee before our senators
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: debate and amend the bill. Please call your senators, call
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: them today and urge them to pass the most important
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: voting rights reform of our generation. We need this. The
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Four the People Act will institute automatic voter registration, modernize
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: voter registration systems, expand early voting requirements, allow universal access
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: to vote by mail, restore the right to vote for
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: people with felony convictions, and more. Okay, this is very
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: important because you see what they're doing in these states
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: where they don't want us to vote at all. Contact
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: your member of Congress, your senator now and urge them
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: to support the Four the People Acts. Go to when
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: we all vote, dot org to get all of the
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: information you need. Okay, I didn't know that. That's that's disheartening.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I didn't know that at all. I didn't know that.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I had no idea. Yeah, what are you doing in there?
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Surely the majority of people don't know, but they live.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: It's amazing how they don't know, but they still honor
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: the policies without even knowing what's behind it. It's tradition.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: They just oh yeah, man, they just they just ain't
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: go with something. Man, it's easy to do it because
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: it ain't got nothing to do with you, right, Yes, sir, exactly, Yes,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: sir but the moment these situations got something to do
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: with you, I bet you're gonna view it all together different.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: They were trying to stop you from voting, your constituents
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: from voting. Our vote doesn't matter to them, but they
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: showed trying to stop it though. Yeah it does matter.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: We showed them last election for sure, and we're gonna
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: show them again too. Yes we are, Yes we are.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: We're gonna show them again next. We're gonna keep showing them.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: We're not just gonna show them for the presidential election.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: We're gonna show them for midturns turns on for the
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: local elections. Because judges and uh, they appoint a mayor's
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: appoint police chiefs, all of everything. I'm voting on everything,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: railroad commissioner, everything, everything, everything, the librarian everything, I'm voting
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: for everything. Wait, I'm stuck a railroad commissioner. You know,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: when I get in there in the voting box, I
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: see that, I'll be like, well, I don't know what
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: to do with this part. I bet I bet I
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: get educated on that. Yeah, we have to educate ourselves.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: And you know, keep listening, of course to the Steve
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. We got you. We have will inform you. Yeah,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: with whatever's going down that you need to know. Of

- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: Show and trending just weird tiger news. This was so crazy.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Residents of a West Houston neighborhood were shocked. Did you
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: see this big Bengal tiger just roaming the streets after
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: apparently escaping from a house while an off duty police
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: officer approached the tiger's owner with his gun drawn. So
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: take a listen to this. You have to cuss. When
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: the time you have to cuss when there's a tiger. Yeah,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: it is no way you can could be an off duty,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: owned duty, never had duty the city. Do you see
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: a tiger, you have to cuss? Oh, do get your tiger.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Get your tiger. Please don't shoot him. Get your damn
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: tiger because you and he grabbed him and took him
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: on in the house to you saw that. Oh man, hey,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: you lucky it wasn't me. I got I gotta put shoes.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: I've seen him. I got the gun, I got, I
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: got a star shoot the tiger owner. He was out
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: on bond as a possible murder suspect. They're investigating him
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: for murder. So what is really going? Why do you
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: get a tiger they had down there for murder too more. Yeah,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: we've both been in trouble. The Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: coming up at thirty three minutes after. Right after this,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Show. It is time for
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Ask the Clo with Steve Harvey. The clo in the building.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: This one is from William Gary, Indiana. Willie writes, I'm
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: a fifty six year old married man. My wife found
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: a condom in my work bag that had been there
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: since twenty nineteen. I told her I got it from
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: a healthfare in my office building, but she didn't believe me.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I really did have a one night stand. Listen to this, guys,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: I really did have a one night's stand with a
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: coworker two years ago after an office Christmas party. But
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: it was only once my wife claimed the lady called
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: her and told her everything. I panicked and confessed, and
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: then my wife says, she made it all up to
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: get the truth. She wants the name as the number
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: of the lady, but she's married to a boxer. How
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: can I get my wife to leave this? Come for
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: you to be fifty six years old and fall for
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: the oki. Dog, I don't give a damn what you
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: accuse me of. It's not true. I don't even understand
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: you confess to everything. Yeah, bro, what's wrong with you?
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: And what what are you doing with a condom still

- 1:16:59Speaker 1: got to come up with some for mass. You gotta
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: have a picture. You gotta have something like the joke
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: I wrote long time ago. I don't care if you
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: got a polaroid picture on my butt jacked up in
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: the air with my social Security number. Oh my ass,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: that is not me. Okay? Yeah, and I don't know
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: how this man got my so security number on his
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: ass or how he even knew it. I don't know,

- 1:17:41Speaker 1: world of trouble on that one. Uh, he wants to
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: know how can he get his wife to leave it alone? Though,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: that's the question. Cello put that condom on it? Sure
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: it don't fit, dog U, This is not O J.

- 1:18:25Speaker 1: on this Tuesday, right, it's two last stay. These weeks
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: go by so fast you get lost in them. Oh,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: all the COVID days went by. We didn't know what
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: day it was at all. Right. We just got back
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: on a schedule and we had a surgeon general. Yeah,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I was gonna say thank you to the Surgeon General. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: would you say, Tommy, I just put some real clothes
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: on week before land not sure sweats. I've been a
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: sweat warm up, dude. Yeah, everybody has. Everybody has been
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: rocking that look being just being comfortable, just being comfortable.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Even you, Steve, have relaxed your wardrobe. I mean I
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: wasn't going no, damn well right, yeah, I wasn't going nowhere,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: especially last summer. I was just at the house, just
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: waiting to get a phone call. I got to go
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: to work because you're sitting around playing with grandkids. Uh, Papa,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: make me a hand plank if you don't get your
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: ass with me, my, damn man. And this time last year,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: you're right, we were just two months man. Yeah. Man.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: We were like we didn't know what what is this?
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: And I was washing. I was washing my hand way
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: too much that down. Now come on, man, now, come on.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: And I'm a person who loves being at home. I
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: love being in the house, all of that I do,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: But oh I can't wait to get out. I just
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: can't I do something. Yeah, everybody's like yeah, I mean,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I mean, I know, but when I get out, it's
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: like I'm free I'm free. I'm oh yeah, I would
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: just go ride, not really anywhere, just ride, ye, take
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: a drive exactly, Yeah, yeah drive Look yeah did you
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: do that, Steve, take a driver drive difference. Yeah No
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't. I didn't want to go nowhere.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: You know, it's COVID. I was scared back then. I
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: didn't understand nothing. I thought it was just outside in
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: the air, flying around, wiping off bags and dough handles.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: And you remember that package packages of man, I had
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: so much light sl and yeah. Then they had a
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: shortag July salt. And then I found somebody who had
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: a warehouse full of light salt. So I got about
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: twelve cases of giving it to friends and family. Yeah,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: to the tissue I ain't bought. Yeah, paper tip. You
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: were stacked up like that, Well I stacked up. Man.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: It had me nerves. I ain't don't know. I ain't
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: know what COVID DT, but to is important. Yeah. Well
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: we are in the house all day. Yeah, and if
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: it gets low, you start panicking a little bit, getting
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: a little anxiety, you know, because when you went to
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: the stores you couldn't find it. It was crazy. Yeah,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: it's broke out. Thank God, it's different now. Yeah, we
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: know it's not a surface and all. Yeah, yeah, I mean,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: you know, it's just I mean, look, people can have
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: their own views about the vaccine. I stopped trying to
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: tell people to get vaccine because I was too many
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: people was arguing about it. So it's not you know,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: you don't want to get a vaccine, don't get one.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: But me personally, yeah, I got the vaccine. I need
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: your card when you come to my house, I need
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: to see it. I need to see you got your shots.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: I'm sorry, rain't that with you, same with your drivers,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: like all that coming, all that need to match. Okay,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I gotta do what you gotta do. Yeah, but it's
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: it's better now. Light. Yeah, we're getting some light. Yeah,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: some hope. Yeah, you know you need that too. I
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: mean we're a long way from it, but I can see.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: You know, I'm glad to see enough people getting the vaccine.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: You know, if you don't want to get it, I
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: got it. I'm not trying to tell you know different.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: But the decision for me was made because I mean
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I just looked at it. This way, I can get
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: the vaccine or I can get COVID M now I
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: ain't heard of nobody dying from the vaccine. I have
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: heard in this country over five hundred thousand depths. I
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: ain't even do that vaccine or ventilator. M you know,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: it's it's scary. Yeah, there's just some you know, some
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: hard choices, but choices that ain't a hard choice to me,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: or choices are necessary though, Yeah, you got you gotta
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: make it. This was a quick decision for me. It
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: was for sale. I can't play around with this man.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Pre existing community conditions, No, yeah, I think too. It's
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: your it's your lifestyle too. I think that plays a
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: part in it. You know, I'm around children, a lot
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: of kids. They're busy, they're active. I just came back
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: from Florida, that petition at disney World, and they did
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: not play. You've been not take that match down at
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: disney World. They wouldn't, I believe y. Hey, let me
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: tell you what I was in Dubai. Yes, if you're
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: walking down the street, didn't Dubai. If you had them all,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: I don't give it. Hey, you need your mask on.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: And they got people standing that and now you gontague
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: with them if you want to. It ain't gonna think
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: it's not what you think. Yeah, listen, you're gonna get
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: that because you can't go over there. You can't over that.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: I don't care what they've illegalized over here. It's not
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: allowed over there. You can't smoke weed. Don't come over
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: here with your little prescription meds that ain't authorized. Don't
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: come over here with your weed. Don't make no brownie,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: don't bring it in, no chocolates, because if they find it,
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: you're going to prison. No questions, ask No, you're gone.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Ain't no court. We're not bringing you for the magistrate.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: You got weed, you locked up, and you don't have
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: a lawyer that can come get you because they're not
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: licened over that. Yeah, don't come over that player with it.
