- 2:23Speaker 1: and most importantly, a mother. She was born in Cleveland,
- 2:26Speaker 1: Ohio and raised in Sudan. That's the first time I
- 2:30Speaker 1: I've read I've had on the show and knowing her
- 2:32Speaker 1: for over twenty years, that's the first time I've ever
- 2:34Speaker 1: known that little negt about her, So we will definitely
- 2:36Speaker 1: be talking about that. She's easily recognized from her frequent
- 2:39Speaker 1: appearances on trib Your Enthusiasm, developed called Following an Ice
- 2:43Speaker 1: Cubes hit movie Next Friday, had the reality show on
- 2:46Speaker 1: their own network network, and many many many television appearance
- 2:49Speaker 1: where she's co star starred and made special appearances. She
- 2:53Speaker 1: is on the show to discuss her weight loss campaign
- 2:55Speaker 1: with weight Watchers weight Watchers Oprah Gotta Opra got He Now.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Weight Watchers. Weight Watcher's offers a scientifically proven program for
- 3:04Speaker 1: weight loss and wellness with digital studio and personal coaching
- 3:08Speaker 1: solutions to help you meet your weight loss goal. She's
- 3:11Speaker 1: doing it with a crew called the Post That's how
- 3:14Speaker 1: crew that's gonna guid y'all to weight loss weight loss Heaven.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Please walk with the money making conversation. My friend Kim Whitley,
- 3:22Speaker 1: do you know I am over here holding my mouth.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I am cracking up. I was like, what an introduction
- 3:32Speaker 1: weight loss having baby? We're going to weight loss Heaven.
- 3:35Speaker 1: You're hear me, Kim Whitley. Okay, what you're talking about?
- 3:42Speaker 1: Let's talk about. Look, I've known your long time, Kim. Okay,
- 3:44Speaker 1: long time. Okay, you fine, you fine, Okay. As we
- 3:49Speaker 1: get up there, you know I would tell people I
- 3:51Speaker 1: lost weight, I lost twenty pounds because I would tell you,
- 3:53Speaker 1: ain't nobody paying me to tackle nobody. Ain't nobody paying
- 3:56Speaker 1: me to hit nobody? Why am I walking around with
- 4:00Speaker 1: these extra twenty party And when I lost that weight,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I am a better person. I had to change a
- 4:04Speaker 1: lot of clothes because they were bagging loose on me.
- 4:07Speaker 1: But I brag about the fact that I am not
- 4:10Speaker 1: to seventeen. I am like, I'll go between one night
- 4:14Speaker 1: five and one seven on the daily, daily basis depending
- 4:17Speaker 1: on what I eat the night before. So I get
- 4:19Speaker 1: up every morning that way myself. So I know, and
- 4:23Speaker 1: I've gotten I got an image of where I got
- 4:25Speaker 1: down to one eighty nine I went a holo, holo holder.
- 4:28Speaker 1: That's way too low, Okay, I got like you can
- 4:31Speaker 1: see my toes on the scale, one eight and nine,
- 4:34Speaker 1: I went, I got down to one eighty nine, one
- 4:37Speaker 1: eighty nine and and uh and so I know the
- 4:41Speaker 1: value of weight control are the value of feeling different
- 4:47Speaker 1: and then setting a goal and then achieving the goal.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And that's why I just said up at the top
- 4:52Speaker 1: of the show, I've known you a long time. You're
- 4:54Speaker 1: a beautiful woman. In fact, I reachingly saw your the
- 4:56Speaker 1: revers charity event that you threw in your backage. You
- 5:00Speaker 1: look beautiful there too. Now led us to this point.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Weight Watchers and getting involved with the weight Watchers. Before
- 5:07Speaker 1: we get to the posse, let's talk about your first
- 5:10Speaker 1: your personal journey about the Weight Watchers content. Well, you know, uh,
- 5:17Speaker 1: you know they've rebranded it. It's called WW when it
- 5:20Speaker 1: was Weight Watchers, uh back in the day. You know,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm the honest with You've never done it before. I've
- 5:26Speaker 1: never been a Weight Watchers person. Um. When they started saying,
- 5:31Speaker 1: you know, w W, it's all new, it's it's brand.
- 5:34Speaker 1: You know, it's Brandon. I know that I have been
- 5:38Speaker 1: trying you know, I'm always trying to lose weight. I
- 5:40Speaker 1: think we're always trying to be a better version of ourselves.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And I'm telling you what, Sean, when this pandemic hit,
- 5:49Speaker 1: I said, the first thing I said is, Okay, we're
- 5:52Speaker 1: about to be locked down. I want to come out
- 5:54Speaker 1: a better person than I went in, Like I don't
- 5:58Speaker 1: want this thing to come out, and I bust out
- 6:00Speaker 1: out and I look like I've been in jail lifting weight.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Like you don't lock down, but you can come out better, right,
- 6:07Speaker 1: Like I just came off the yard, right right, as
- 6:10Speaker 1: long as you got them dreads, Okay, no, no, no,
- 6:12Speaker 1: car Rolls, You're gonna be good, car Rolls, then you
- 6:15Speaker 1: really look like I will be good, you know, and
- 6:18Speaker 1: being it's just being a mother of a nine year
- 6:23Speaker 1: old boy who have a lot of energy and just saying,
- 6:27Speaker 1: you know, we like you've always asked me questions like
- 6:30Speaker 1: what's your next five years look like? Where's the next
- 6:33Speaker 1: ten years look like? And if I really look back,
- 6:35Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, I've done things, but have I really
- 6:38Speaker 1: made a significant change? Um? I could be funny, I
- 6:41Speaker 1: can keep moving on, but really, what is the next
- 6:45Speaker 1: The one thing I can control is what I put
- 6:48Speaker 1: in my mouth and what I do with my body
- 6:50Speaker 1: anything else, and a lot of things you know other
- 6:53Speaker 1: people can control. But if you can't control yourself, then
- 6:58Speaker 1: what what what are you doing? So you know, that's
- 7:01Speaker 1: how I would say how it started, that the one
- 7:06Speaker 1: thing I can control will give me, um the confidence
- 7:11Speaker 1: to do other things. Because I can't control this, I
- 7:15Speaker 1: can make the outcome better and be stronger and and
- 7:21Speaker 1: um just healthier. So I think that's what it was.
- 7:24Speaker 1: You know, Um, I've been when I look at it
- 7:28Speaker 1: as weight loss and a diet, it never worked. It
- 7:30Speaker 1: always came back. But with w W I have. I've
- 7:35Speaker 1: learned to be healthy. I make better choices, and I
- 7:39Speaker 1: can cook for me and Joshua. So that's what I
- 7:42Speaker 1: was messing up with. I was making food for him,
- 7:45Speaker 1: and I was trying to make food for me, and
- 7:47Speaker 1: I was going through this, you know, just eating and this.
- 7:49Speaker 1: It was just out of control. And I'll be honest
- 7:54Speaker 1: with you, ra Sean, what I tell people, and and
- 7:57Speaker 1: not just weight loss, but in life, go back and
- 8:01Speaker 1: look at your pictures because of what we do is
- 8:03Speaker 1: we take a lot of pictures. We take a lot
- 8:04Speaker 1: of pictres. We used to front of out, which was better.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And we never looked out. But if you go back
- 8:11Speaker 1: and look at your pictures and see where you were
- 8:13Speaker 1: or how you're doing, it makes you accountable. And so
- 8:18Speaker 1: I looked back on some pictures. I was like, oh lord,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I was big, and it was it was working with
- 8:24Speaker 1: it though it was working with I have a picture
- 8:26Speaker 1: of me when I went the Emmys, I was bragging
- 8:29Speaker 1: about and then and then my staff went, boy, look
- 8:32Speaker 1: at those fat cheeks. You know who was on the
- 8:34Speaker 1: zoom call and went, what you're talking about? Boy? He
- 8:37Speaker 1: was gone, chuckey. Back in the day, that's my biggie Emmy.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I was on stage with Mario Lopez. I thought I
- 8:43Speaker 1: was looking good. My suit was fine. But I was
- 8:47Speaker 1: two hundred and seventeen pounds when I won that Emmy,
- 8:51Speaker 1: turning seventy pounds now I'm one seven. That's a difference.
- 8:58Speaker 1: That's a different look, that's a different commitment. And you
- 9:02Speaker 1: know my waistline thirty six. So I'm just saying to
- 9:06Speaker 1: letting everybody, I'm an advocate of what you're doing with
- 9:08Speaker 1: w W. You know, we know we're all our basis
- 9:11Speaker 1: being a comedian. We're gonna be funny, But when you
- 9:13Speaker 1: move all funny aside, it's about how do you feel
- 9:17Speaker 1: and how do you look at What are you most
- 9:18Speaker 1: proud of. I brag about the fact that I've lost
- 9:21Speaker 1: twenty pounds and and that's important. You know. The person
- 9:25Speaker 1: who got me moving in that direction was Morris chest None.
- 9:28Speaker 1: He got me moving in that direction to look at
- 9:30Speaker 1: weight loss and considering it and say, you know you
- 9:34Speaker 1: can I saw high good, he looked in that that
- 9:36Speaker 1: that that that that part two or best man. I went, dude,
- 9:40Speaker 1: what did you do? And he told me he lost weight?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Went okay, cool. So when I looked at when I
- 9:45Speaker 1: when I heard about this, I immediately had to get
- 9:48Speaker 1: you on the phone to re interview you about this
- 9:51Speaker 1: because the fact, you know, I'm proud of your acting,
- 9:53Speaker 1: a proud of the comedy, I'm proud of the fact
- 9:56Speaker 1: that your mother, But I'm mostly proud of this new
- 9:59Speaker 1: commitment to yourself because sometimes we have to sit back
- 10:02Speaker 1: and make a commitment to ourselves. And that's what I
- 10:05Speaker 1: see the w W W program is about. It's a selfish
- 10:08Speaker 1: moment for you to be able to say you know something, Uh,
- 10:13Speaker 1: I got to do something different and it's not cheating
- 10:17Speaker 1: on myself. It's not looking sideways in the mirror so
- 10:21Speaker 1: I can find the best angle that I look good.
- 10:24Speaker 1: You know, we all got that angle, you know. I
- 10:26Speaker 1: call that that that mirror look where you can just
- 10:29Speaker 1: turn your head and you look a little younger if
- 10:32Speaker 1: you could just hold that look. But guess what, you
- 10:34Speaker 1: can't hold that look that look, hold that look, the
- 10:41Speaker 1: hold that look. But w W is trying to give
- 10:44Speaker 1: you that to it for our look though, Well, you
- 10:46Speaker 1: don't have to hold nothing now, so I don't even
- 10:52Speaker 1: have to wear thanks anymore, literally wearing all kind of
- 10:56Speaker 1: girdles and thanks. And then finally this game show and
- 11:00Speaker 1: I realized I didn't have to put it on, and
- 11:02Speaker 1: I was like, oh wow, it makes light a little easier.
- 11:08Speaker 1: And we're not talking a whole lot of eight uh.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I am now like twenty six pounds down, um, And
- 11:16Speaker 1: it makes a difference, just like you said it just
- 11:21Speaker 1: it makes me move. I'm accountable because you know, if
- 11:24Speaker 1: I didn't say, oh I gotta work out, at least
- 11:26Speaker 1: get on the elliptical treadmill, right, you know. And I'm
- 11:29Speaker 1: not talking to big workout, not like forty minutes fifteen
- 11:32Speaker 1: in the morning, right down me and you on the
- 11:36Speaker 1: same page. See see what you're not gonna do to
- 11:38Speaker 1: Roushan exactly like I'm suddenly gonna be honest fortunator. Okay,
- 11:43Speaker 1: I'm just pumping out that that pumping ironed it ever
- 11:48Speaker 1: happened at roshan if. Steve har used to always laugh
- 11:51Speaker 1: at me when I when I told her what I
- 11:52Speaker 1: did in the gym, You go, reallys I go in there,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I do curl, curl, doing like real thirty one third
- 12:01Speaker 1: third or I'm done, he said, But what are you doing?
- 12:04Speaker 1: I said, I'm done. I'm done. And so so that's
- 12:08Speaker 1: now another thing I've done is I'm stretching. Now that
- 12:11Speaker 1: has been something I've found to be such a blessing
- 12:14Speaker 1: for me. Now. I never stretched in my life, and
- 12:18Speaker 1: I realized that Kim, I was losing my swag, my stride.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I was making a conscious elf, conscious effort to be cool,
- 12:26Speaker 1: you know, because you know, as you get older, your
- 12:29Speaker 1: your stride gets shorter and your muscles gets started contracting. Okay,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and so that means that you and that's why you
- 12:36Speaker 1: see people start taking those little bity staffs to start
- 12:38Speaker 1: bending over the lot, or or they make a conscious
- 12:41Speaker 1: effort to reach out for something, or they walk or
- 12:43Speaker 1: they reach out real short. That's because people are not stretching.
- 12:46Speaker 1: And so now long see see right there. See so
- 12:52Speaker 1: now you're twenty six pounds down and now you're stretching.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Tell everybody on the w W program, which Oprah Winfrey
- 13:01Speaker 1: Ball changing from Weight Watchers made WW tell us that
- 13:05Speaker 1: next step, how you feeling right now? Because we're gonna
- 13:07Speaker 1: get into the posse next. But I wanted to start
- 13:10Speaker 1: the interview Kim about your new journey because it has
- 13:14Speaker 1: to be a commitment. A lot of people want to.
- 13:16Speaker 1: They want to, they want to just think losing weight
- 13:18Speaker 1: is it's something automatic. But see if you want to
- 13:21Speaker 1: stay off, like I said, I lost the weight, I
- 13:24Speaker 1: lost this weight in so I'm in and I kept
- 13:31Speaker 1: it off, okay, and and so and so even I'm
- 13:35Speaker 1: gonna just tell you this. In December, I was at
- 13:38Speaker 1: nine and I and I went whoa, whoa, and I
- 13:41Speaker 1: ran over the Golden Corral. I went over the Golden
- 13:44Speaker 1: Corral and and and hey, hey, hey, hey hey, and
- 13:47Speaker 1: got crazy for a couple of days in a row
- 13:50Speaker 1: to get back up to one five. And so I'd
- 13:52Speaker 1: like to say I jumped between one ninty five and
- 13:55Speaker 1: one ninty seven on the daily basis, and I'm happy.
- 13:58Speaker 1: So but talk about that it being able to get
- 14:01Speaker 1: on the w W program. And also and then we
- 14:04Speaker 1: won't slide right on the end of the deposse that
- 14:07Speaker 1: those ladies of two twenty two queens o that with
- 14:11Speaker 1: you on this ride. Yeah, yeah, you know its um.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I'm telling you. I was so excited for the opportunity, uh,
- 14:20Speaker 1: because I did not understand what w W was about.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And when I was presented with the opportunity, it was
- 14:27Speaker 1: a perfect time, like I said, um, and it just
- 14:31Speaker 1: worked for me, like the first week, you know. But
- 14:35Speaker 1: you know my friends as were going to talk about
- 14:37Speaker 1: I needed to be accountable. So you know, once they
- 14:40Speaker 1: give you a coach, you were accountable to them, you know,
- 14:43Speaker 1: because you you they talked to you that. Like you said,
- 14:45Speaker 1: you wear yourself every day. I weighed myself once a
- 14:48Speaker 1: week because every day I would be bad. Um, I
- 14:53Speaker 1: will admit I weighed myself every day. I get up
- 14:55Speaker 1: at four o'clock, I staggered down the stairs to base
- 15:00Speaker 1: to it full five. I step on that scale now.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And so I've committed to it and I'm just letting
- 15:05Speaker 1: you know that's for you. No, you're right, because it
- 15:12Speaker 1: does keep you to check yourself. I have some friends
- 15:14Speaker 1: on w W and it does make you go, oh,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I gotta really drinkable water today, or I gotta work out.
- 15:20Speaker 1: But I love it because the program is customized for me.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Uh and and once you feel in all your what
- 15:26Speaker 1: you like and you know I'm on the purple team.
- 15:29Speaker 1: And that's what I love about that. It actually helped
- 15:33Speaker 1: me they accountable, put my weight in, drink my water.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It has a tracking system. But the app, the w
- 15:41Speaker 1: W app, is the most incredible thing that has ever
- 15:44Speaker 1: been made. This app. I call it my genie in
- 15:47Speaker 1: the pocket. It is like I can rub when it
- 15:50Speaker 1: will come out. It'll give me a workout. It tells
- 15:52Speaker 1: me how many points I have left. It'll give me
- 15:55Speaker 1: free foods, which sometimes when I'm too close to ending
- 15:58Speaker 1: on my points, it'll say eat this, eat that. I
- 16:01Speaker 1: eat all kind of fruits and vegetables, which has what
- 16:04Speaker 1: he's doing is training me on how to eat. When
- 16:08Speaker 1: all this is over and I go back on the road,
- 16:10Speaker 1: I might not grab that bag of cheetostaid. I might
- 16:12Speaker 1: just say, you know what, I'm gonna eat two apples
- 16:14Speaker 1: or whatever the case. But that's what it has done
- 16:18Speaker 1: for me. It really has uh kept me accountable. And
- 16:23Speaker 1: and it's not hard. That's I thought it was gonna
- 16:25Speaker 1: be hard, and it's so easy. And that's why I
- 16:28Speaker 1: want everyone to be on it because it's not only
- 16:31Speaker 1: about losing weight. It's just about a lifestyle and being
- 16:34Speaker 1: healthy and being able to cook healthy meals. And we're
- 16:37Speaker 1: not talking about nasty meals with about good meals. I
- 16:39Speaker 1: made some uh some chili, some being chili the other
- 16:42Speaker 1: day zero points done it ship so it has all
- 16:46Speaker 1: kind of recipes in it. And said, I wanted to
- 16:48Speaker 1: work out like you said stretches. I put in the
- 16:51Speaker 1: little app I'd like to stretch today. A little app
- 16:54Speaker 1: shows me a little person. They come up, they helped
- 16:56Speaker 1: me stretch. Incredible, incredible. It's finely here the season of celebration,
- 17:02Speaker 1: and no matter how you celebrate with family and friends,

- 18:55Speaker 1: dot ai. Now let learn. Okay. Now in May, the
- 19:00Speaker 1: posse which is now up to twenty two women filled
- 19:04Speaker 1: with family members, friends and colleagues and comedians. Okay, because
- 19:08Speaker 1: it's almost like, you know, you gotta grab people your
- 19:10Speaker 1: love first, you know, and then everybody get on board.
- 19:13Speaker 1: That's how the posse grows, you know, because she, you know,
- 19:16Speaker 1: she started out with convincing all the friends and girl
- 19:18Speaker 1: you know, you know you need to be on this
- 19:20Speaker 1: with me. That's that look girl, you know conversation you
- 19:23Speaker 1: had with a couple of girl you know, if I'm
- 19:27Speaker 1: doing this, you need to be doing this too. Come
- 19:29Speaker 1: on now, So that was the start of the posse.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Now it started in May with ten members. Now it
- 19:35Speaker 1: has grown to twenty two. So tell me how the
- 19:38Speaker 1: posse works right now, Okay, And what's so crazy is
- 19:44Speaker 1: the posse started with all women, like you said, but
- 19:47Speaker 1: now we got three men of four men. Hold on,
- 19:49Speaker 1: hold hold, hold, hold, hold on, hold on. Okay now now, okay,
- 19:52Speaker 1: now you mean I could be a member of your possey. Yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 1: so you didn't tell me that, you tell Okay, now
- 19:59Speaker 1: you keep talking here. You might need to now now
- 20:01Speaker 1: you might need to put you put your boy in there. Now,
- 20:04Speaker 1: you put your boy in now now because like I said,
- 20:06Speaker 1: I got bad eating habits because I'm not working with anybody. Okay.
- 20:10Speaker 1: My wife, she go out there with the dog. She
- 20:12Speaker 1: walked around the yard for an hour. Come back in
- 20:14Speaker 1: the house. You know that's the schedule. I'm not walking
- 20:16Speaker 1: the dog with hug. I'm not doing that. The poor
- 20:20Speaker 1: dog he in so good. Shaping is ridiculous than me.
- 20:27Speaker 1: That dog, that dog coming to how it's going. Okay, dude, okay,
- 20:30Speaker 1: can you help me because I got muscles. I don't
- 20:33Speaker 1: need walking walking with your wife. Okay. So so now
- 20:42Speaker 1: I'm just telling you the truth. I'm talking to Kim
- 20:46Speaker 1: with we're talking about the w W W programs. I gotta
- 20:48Speaker 1: stay focused with her because we're gonna mess rock tell
- 20:50Speaker 1: jokes that air checking over the open open gonna go.
- 20:54Speaker 1: She can't do no more public interviews and pol Joy
- 20:56Speaker 1: collection gonna be in trouble. How you get him on
- 20:59Speaker 1: the add with this food, They weren't talking nothing about
- 21:01Speaker 1: They're talking about Sue Dan, They're talking about every HBC
- 21:04Speaker 1: you graduate, they say nothing about w W. Keep talking
- 21:07Speaker 1: about losing weight with Morris Chestnuts. Had nothing to do
- 21:10Speaker 1: with my program, okay, chess not what if you want
- 21:14Speaker 1: to look like get on w W? What doing so? Right?
- 21:21Speaker 1: So you started with tien, Now you're up to twenty two.
- 21:24Speaker 1: You got three guys on the program. Tell us how
- 21:28Speaker 1: how you how the program started and how you start
- 21:32Speaker 1: gathering ten and how you grew to twenty two. Because
- 21:35Speaker 1: I'm assuming that you want to just keep growing your posse, right,
- 21:40Speaker 1: You know what, I don't know. I don't know if
- 21:41Speaker 1: my coach Alicia can handle it. The policy, especially when
- 21:44Speaker 1: you have comedians they on there cracking shoe. But what
- 21:47Speaker 1: had happened and be honest with you. People started seeing
- 21:50Speaker 1: the results. So we had tens and like you know, buddy,
- 21:53Speaker 1: I invited buddy. There's some friends I did invite Rashana
- 21:56Speaker 1: and they were like, no, I'm good Now They're like, uh,
- 21:59Speaker 1: you think I can get on that. I'm like what.
- 22:01Speaker 1: So what happens is they start seeing the results. There's
- 22:03Speaker 1: those people they come in there like oh wow, oh
- 22:07Speaker 1: that really works. So I said, you want to join
- 22:09Speaker 1: us because you do need you need support. And on
- 22:12Speaker 1: the w W app they have a connect uh community
- 22:16Speaker 1: on that, which is great because it's all a whole
- 22:18Speaker 1: bunch of people. It's like Facebook for ww you connect.
- 22:22Speaker 1: We have our own private group because it's my posse
- 22:25Speaker 1: that we talked and we have a text chat that
- 22:27Speaker 1: we talked because we share recipes, we share ideas. Sometimes
- 22:32Speaker 1: I will say, you know, our game two pounds, I
- 22:34Speaker 1: don't feel good. I need to get better, and they're like, no,
- 22:36Speaker 1: you can do with him and they'll say try this
- 22:38Speaker 1: recipe this week, do this, do that, And that has
- 22:41Speaker 1: been absolutely amazing. So the poppy keeps growing because once
- 22:45Speaker 1: I was at eighteen pounds, everybody's like, oh wait a minute,
- 22:48Speaker 1: people saw me. Then I got to twenty something pounds.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Now I'm at twenty six pounds. But every time they
- 22:53Speaker 1: see me, people are like, what are you doing? I'm like,
- 22:55Speaker 1: I'm on ww and it works. It works. I have
- 23:00Speaker 1: ever done anything that's been so simple, Like usually i'm hungry,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I'm not hungry, like I eat real food. I've eaten
- 23:07Speaker 1: fruit and vegetables like I've never done before because now
- 23:09Speaker 1: they taste could um the you know, it's all the
- 23:12Speaker 1: different recipes and waisy. And then in the app it
- 23:15Speaker 1: has restaurants. So like to say, if I went to
- 23:18Speaker 1: my Dinhoset, Carls Junior, wherever I stopped, I were looking
- 23:21Speaker 1: the apt first, because if I buying it and then
- 23:23Speaker 1: look at it, I'm in trouble. But I look at
- 23:25Speaker 1: and I say, okay, I got so many points left,
- 23:26Speaker 1: what do I want? And they'll say it's gal. You
- 23:28Speaker 1: can get a grilled chicken sais. I'm like, oh okay,
- 23:30Speaker 1: I get that, and I put it in there and
- 23:32Speaker 1: it's track and I still got points left. But what
- 23:35Speaker 1: happens is wherever I go, cheesecakes factory, anywhere, I can
- 23:38Speaker 1: put it in the app so I can live on,
- 23:40Speaker 1: you know, like so it makes it nice and then
- 23:42Speaker 1: guess what we fall down the positive looking only be
- 23:46Speaker 1: like girl, I used some ice cream. I used really,
- 23:48Speaker 1: I really am surprised I had a birthday. Probably we ate,
- 23:51Speaker 1: but then we said, okay, we had our fun, let's
- 23:53Speaker 1: get back on it. And that's what's so great about that.
- 23:57Speaker 1: And that's why having someone doing it with you and
- 23:59Speaker 1: be like minded rashin Like I was like, oh, I
- 24:02Speaker 1: need you in my life more. When you have like
- 24:04Speaker 1: minded people, it motivates you. You know, it makes you
- 24:09Speaker 1: do what you're trying to do and what you're trying
- 24:11Speaker 1: to acopt. You've got people who are like, here, have
- 24:14Speaker 1: these donuts, here, let's lay around and let's do this
- 24:17Speaker 1: and that. No, but I might say, hey girls, you
- 24:19Speaker 1: wanna go for a walk? Hey girl, you know I'm
- 24:22Speaker 1: gonna make a nice salad. Like minded people, you move
- 24:25Speaker 1: in the right direction. And that's why the post has
- 24:27Speaker 1: been so very important um um to me. You know.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And then there's a lot of moms in there and
- 24:34Speaker 1: single people, so you know it's it's it's arranged. Which, well,
- 24:38Speaker 1: here's the deal. Everybody, we don't everybody needs to look better,
- 24:43Speaker 1: feel better, wake up and realize that they're giving themselves
- 24:46Speaker 1: an opportunity to have a better life. And that's that
- 24:48Speaker 1: starts with you physically. You know, we have mental depression.
- 24:51Speaker 1: We can have physical depression too because when we look
- 24:54Speaker 1: in the mirror, we can keep lying to ourselves, keep
- 24:56Speaker 1: lying to ourselves. But sometimes that back ache is tied
- 24:59Speaker 1: to too much weight. Sometimes that back ache is tied
- 25:02Speaker 1: to bad eating habits and the oh and then during
- 25:05Speaker 1: the pandemic, we found that African American people of color
- 25:09Speaker 1: are you know, overtly or susceptible to COVID nineteen hospitalizations
- 25:14Speaker 1: and unfortunately sometimes death. So I feel that what you're
- 25:18Speaker 1: presenting right now with w w W. I know they're
- 25:21Speaker 1: not promoting that as part of the cause, but our
- 25:25Speaker 1: eating habits have to change. And I say our I'm
- 25:28Speaker 1: talking about leading the campaign for African Americans. We all
- 25:30Speaker 1: brag about fried chicken, We all brag about, you know,
- 25:34Speaker 1: eating that that colar greens with that hog molder and
- 25:36Speaker 1: chip linens and corn bread and all that good stuff.
- 25:40Speaker 1: But guess what that can lead you to an early grave,
- 25:43Speaker 1: especially with the COVID ninteen and Dr Anthony Fauci has
- 25:46Speaker 1: stated that COVID nineteen is not going anywhere because with anything,
- 25:52Speaker 1: nothing's gonna ever be a one. Even the flu vaccine
- 25:55Speaker 1: is only forty of a cure or of effectiveness, but
- 26:00Speaker 1: they have to put it out there. That's why when
- 26:02Speaker 1: some people get the flu vaccine, they get shocked when
- 26:04Speaker 1: they get the flu. Anyway, well it's on Okay, So
- 26:08Speaker 1: when they release a vaccine for COVID and it's not
- 26:11Speaker 1: gonna be a p either. So right now, what you're
- 26:14Speaker 1: dealing with with w W is an opportunity to be
- 26:18Speaker 1: able to change people's lives. And also when they wake up,
- 26:21Speaker 1: feel better? Do you do? Don't you feel a lot
- 26:23Speaker 1: better when you wake up? M Oh my god. I
- 26:27Speaker 1: feel so much better. I can run up the steps.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Before I was hanging on the wall, hanging on the banister.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I feel much better. I have more energy. My daughter,
- 26:38Speaker 1: she's laughing. Okay, damn, okay, uh, really, you're breathing hard
- 26:42Speaker 1: just coming up the steps. Hey, leaving alone? Leave alone.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I'm just walking up steps. You swear. I was on
- 26:54Speaker 1: a bike, riding hard sometimes walking up those steps. Now,
- 26:58Speaker 1: they have some fun things that in the group chats
- 27:01Speaker 1: that I want to talk about because I want to
- 27:02Speaker 1: let everybody know I'm talking to Kim Witley. She's part
- 27:05Speaker 1: of this amazing w W campaign. Where she's part of
- 27:08Speaker 1: a group. It's called the Posse. It's twenty two members
- 27:11Speaker 1: right now, and May it was only ten. She got
- 27:13Speaker 1: men involved. So men out there listening to this interview,
- 27:16Speaker 1: you can be part of the Kim Posse. All I
- 27:18Speaker 1: want to know is that I'm gonna drop this into
- 27:20Speaker 1: my newsletter on Wednesday ton any thousand of my fans,
- 27:24Speaker 1: and I'm being encouraging people. So if you get a
- 27:26Speaker 1: sudden uh interest and people wanted to join your posse,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'm just gonna let you know, Kim, it's because of
- 27:33Speaker 1: Rushan McDonald. Because I want you to have a hundred.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I want you to have a two thousand. People want
- 27:37Speaker 1: to be part of your group because I know as
- 27:39Speaker 1: a personality, all your life as an entertainer, you know,
- 27:44Speaker 1: that's what we've done. We've entertained and we've shared, and
- 27:46Speaker 1: it's a responsibility to make people feel good. Now I
- 27:49Speaker 1: look at you as a as a health entertainer. Now
- 27:52Speaker 1: that's why I'm feaching this. You are a health entertainer
- 27:56Speaker 1: and because you're out there now trying to make people
- 27:58Speaker 1: feel good about themselves and making that smile comes with longerity.
- 28:03Speaker 1: That smile comes because not only because you're making them
- 28:06Speaker 1: feel good. But they're feeling good about theirselves now. They
- 28:08Speaker 1: have some challenges that are in this track, like the
- 28:11Speaker 1: Squad Challenge Drink Water, push up. This tell us about
- 28:14Speaker 1: the Squad challenge because that sounds funny already because I
- 28:17Speaker 1: know where the squad is and it can really make
- 28:20Speaker 1: a man or woman out of you if you're not
- 28:22Speaker 1: doing it right. Let's joke and we gotta keep each
- 28:27Speaker 1: other come. We're like, no, no, no, you gotta send
- 28:29Speaker 1: that video in. So we do no no video on
- 28:34Speaker 1: our little group that No, no, you're gonna come about
- 28:36Speaker 1: I hit my squad. No no, We're gonna watch them
- 28:39Speaker 1: and count them. So it's just to get people moving
- 28:41Speaker 1: and the group. So we always make up like today,
- 28:44Speaker 1: like some days it was like okay, Tuesday, Thursdays, no
- 28:46Speaker 1: smack days, you know. So we do things like that.
- 28:50Speaker 1: And really, I mean, if you think about it, with
- 28:53Speaker 1: all of us, we've lost a total of two hundred
- 28:55Speaker 1: and seventy seven pounds collectively, right, so every one has
- 29:00Speaker 1: lost something. Others need to lose more, something only needed
- 29:04Speaker 1: to lose ten. But we have all done something together
- 29:08Speaker 1: and it's made us better for it and We've become
- 29:11Speaker 1: a family um during this time. So it's it's just
- 29:14Speaker 1: been fantastic. And I encourage everyone, uh they want to
- 29:19Speaker 1: join and and get healthier. Uh. And and we don't say, well,
- 29:23Speaker 1: thirty pounds, We say a pounds of time or two
- 29:25Speaker 1: pounds or you know, maybe ten pounds of pounds, because
- 29:28Speaker 1: when you say, oh, I want to lose thirty pounds,
- 29:30Speaker 1: it's just overwhelming. Like this week, I was like, okay,
- 29:33Speaker 1: I just want to get the five pounds stuff all,
- 29:35Speaker 1: you know, please join me at ww dot com slash
- 29:39Speaker 1: Kim Whitley. And that's where the why Kim Whitley. I
- 29:41Speaker 1: really encourage everyone, especially mothers, because we always put everyone
- 29:45Speaker 1: else first and then you know, try to help ourselves.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Well you know, I know this about myself and losing
- 29:53Speaker 1: twenty pounds is that you can fall off that wagon.
- 29:58Speaker 1: You can fall off board. Your boys see a little
- 30:01Speaker 1: ice creams you cup kick with the white ice and
- 30:04Speaker 1: and sometimes it's just not enough to eat just two Okay,
- 30:09Speaker 1: I gotta look at that third and fourth. So when
- 30:11Speaker 1: you fall off that wagon, you have to have people
- 30:14Speaker 1: to encourage you just say that's all right, but come
- 30:17Speaker 1: on back, come on back, Because see, that's what the
- 30:20Speaker 1: w W program does for you. It makes you. It
- 30:22Speaker 1: gives you a program and you can consistently win with.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And that's what it is. It's like like you, like
- 30:27Speaker 1: you said, like I told you earlier. I can remember
- 30:30Speaker 1: right February I lost. I lost twenty pounds. Twenty pounds
- 30:35Speaker 1: now now in there's some August, I'm still at that
- 30:41Speaker 1: twenty pound mark. That's because I had to figure out myself.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I had to figure out. Okay, Rashwan, you're eating late
- 30:48Speaker 1: at night. You can't eat like that in the morning.
- 30:50Speaker 1: You can't. You can't put that onto you. You know,
- 30:53Speaker 1: you can't rushan look here now and and and a
- 30:56Speaker 1: lot of people don't realize that ice cream is cool
- 30:59Speaker 1: just a lot of not just a lot of ice cream,
- 31:01Speaker 1: you know. And so diets really give a bad um
- 31:06Speaker 1: a statement about what you really can't eat, because it
- 31:09Speaker 1: all comes down to portions. It all comes down to
- 31:13Speaker 1: being a sensible person, being mindful of exercise, not a
- 31:18Speaker 1: not to You're not trying to win when the Olympics.
- 31:21Speaker 1: You're not trying to compute with anybody to track and feel.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I'm talking about stretching while you're watching the morning news,
- 31:29Speaker 1: you know, fifteen twenty minutes, give yourself, trying to touch
- 31:34Speaker 1: your toes, you know, doing high steps so you can
- 31:37Speaker 1: do some stomach crunches. All this stuff I had to
- 31:40Speaker 1: figure out so I can be happy about myself. And
- 31:44Speaker 1: so that's all you're trying to do right now. That's it.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I'm just trying to be happy and I want to
- 31:52Speaker 1: feel better. That's the thing that people have to understand.
- 31:54Speaker 1: You just want to feel better. That's it. So, Kim,
- 31:59Speaker 1: can we followed this on your social media and on
- 32:01Speaker 1: social media? We can follow this on your social media? Yes, yes, yes.
- 32:06Speaker 1: My social media across the board is Kim Whitley, k Y,
- 32:09Speaker 1: M W H I L E Y And you know
- 32:13Speaker 1: that's Instagram, Facebook, And you know I talked about my
- 32:16Speaker 1: w W journey and people see pictures of me. I
- 32:19Speaker 1: did uh before and after then and now, um, you
- 32:25Speaker 1: know that people can see me, you know. And we
- 32:27Speaker 1: have some other ambassadors on there. But have you seen
- 32:30Speaker 1: Tamila Man Absolutely absolutely she is. You know, I haven't
- 32:36Speaker 1: gotten on the show yet because she was the first
- 32:38Speaker 1: one to make the announcement that she was an ambassador
- 32:40Speaker 1: for WW so I got to bring her on the show.
- 32:43Speaker 1: And so so. But you, my girl. I had I
- 32:46Speaker 1: had to make sure that I take care of you,
- 32:48Speaker 1: know you che family, but you you my little but
- 32:52Speaker 1: I'm yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, we're real tight. So so
- 32:57Speaker 1: this is what I need from you, Kim. My newsletter
- 32:59Speaker 1: goes out this Wednesday, so please send me that before
- 33:02Speaker 1: and after photo and any links to that. Need to
- 33:05Speaker 1: promote w W and also so we can get this
- 33:09Speaker 1: role because my news lother going out to Nanny three
- 33:11Speaker 1: thousand fans this Wednesday, and I want to promote you
- 33:15Speaker 1: and my subject line, you know, subject line, Okay, lose
- 33:22Speaker 1: weight with Kim as We're gonna lose weight with Kim. Yeah,
- 33:26Speaker 1: she's the health she's the health entertainer. Now come on now,
- 33:34Speaker 1: I love it. But I would thank you for coming
- 33:36Speaker 1: on the show. I'm getting back in touch you with
- 33:39Speaker 1: you because I got a project I want to introduce you.
- 33:41Speaker 1: See what you like. I think you're gonna love the idea.
- 33:43Speaker 1: But more importantly, you're doing what I feel as a blessing,
- 33:47Speaker 1: not only for yourself, but for your son and for
- 33:49Speaker 1: your friends. You're trying to live a life that will
- 33:52Speaker 1: give us a few more days that we can tell
- 33:54Speaker 1: you that we love you. We tell you how important
- 33:57Speaker 1: you are to be around for us every day. And Morrison,
- 34:00Speaker 1: you your your blessings that you give to us, the
- 34:03Speaker 1: smiles that you give to us, the life that you
- 34:06Speaker 1: give to us on the daily base, enables us to
- 34:09Speaker 1: feel better about ourselves. That's what you do. Health entertainer,
- 34:12Speaker 1: I appreciate you for doing in w dot that alright,
- 34:18Speaker 1: be strong, We talked soon. Okay, bye bye, alright. If
