  I'm thinking today of 2 Kings 18 .6, where it

  I think it would be a bit arrogant to conclude

  it. I really like the phrase, he did not depart

  from following him, and I see that he kept his

  commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses,

  is basically a way of saying that he had continued

  to follow God. Even if we weren't clear about

  how loving... him is doing what he has commanded,

  I think we could be clear about how following

  him is doing what he has commanded. Clinging

  is a bit more intimate or insistent or depicts

  Sticking close to God, as close as God will draw,

  is everything. But abiding in Christ is about

  something more than obedience. He has made us

  family. It is only correct that children of God

  should stick close, cling to him, be found following

  his instructions. Of course, there will be alternatives,

  but they should should pale by comparison even

  as we walk out our daily push and pull. He has

  now made us able as sons and daughters. Persecution

  and temptation, desires overcome, and an infinite

  variety of events gives us infinite opportunity

  to give glory to God and to cling to him. And

  we shall unto the end. Until Jesus comes again,

  may we glorify the Lord with our every decision.
