- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome. It's Verdict with Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you, Senator.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Nice to chat with you today. You're on the road.
- 0:06Speaker 1: You're now in Florida. We had maybe one of the
- 0:09Speaker 1: greatest dinners I think I've ever had last night with
- 0:11Speaker 1: some of the most brilliant minds around the table in
- 0:15Speaker 1: Nashville after the event in Franklin, and it was I
- 0:19Speaker 1: think you probably enjoyed that dinner as much as I did,
- 0:21Speaker 1: because you had Clay Travis, Michael Knows, Ben Shapiro. I
- 0:27Speaker 1: was an honor to be there. You were there and
- 0:29Speaker 1: many other brilliant minds talking about some of the most
- 0:32Speaker 1: fun topics and politics, and they were all revolving around
- 0:37Speaker 1: what we're all seeing change very quickly, and that is
- 0:40Speaker 1: there's a very good chance that not only are we
- 0:42Speaker 1: gonna grab the House, but we could grab the Senate
- 0:45Speaker 1: and have some really good numbers there as well. Yeah,
- 0:48Speaker 1: that's right. We had an amazing dinner that went until
- 0:51Speaker 1: late in the evening, and I would say the consensus
- 0:54Speaker 1: of pretty much everyone around the table is that the
- 0:57Speaker 1: momentum is moving significantly in the right direction, and I'm
- 1:03Speaker 1: more optimistic. I think more and more observers are getting
- 1:07Speaker 1: really optimistic that Republicans' chances for taking the Senate look
- 1:11Speaker 1: quite good, and we could easily end up with not
- 1:15Speaker 1: just a majority in the House, but a large majority
- 1:18Speaker 1: in the House, and that that's good news. One of
- 1:23Speaker 1: the reasons why I think this is happening, Center, is
- 1:25Speaker 1: that I think a lot of the American people, especially
- 1:28Speaker 1: while they're suffering, are tired of being lied to. The
- 1:32Speaker 1: President came out today with another ridiculous lie. Here's what
- 1:36Speaker 1: he said today. The most common price of gas in
- 1:39Speaker 1: America is three dollars and thirty nine cents, down from
- 1:43Speaker 1: over five dollars when I took office. We need to
- 1:46Speaker 1: keep making that progress by having energy companies bring down
- 1:50Speaker 1: the cost of a gallon of gas that reflects the
- 1:53Speaker 1: cost they're pain for a barrel of oil. Center, you
- 1:57Speaker 1: and I both know that when he became president United
- 1:59Speaker 1: States of America, the average price of gas was two
- 2:03Speaker 1: thirty nine, meaning fifty percent. We're playing less than that.
- 2:06Speaker 1: On the day that he became president, I paid under
- 2:09Speaker 1: two dollars a gallon where I was and because I
- 2:11Speaker 1: remember looking wanting to see how quick it was going
- 2:13Speaker 1: to go up. This is just a lie that every
- 2:16Speaker 1: American knows is not true. Yeah, no, that's exactly right.
- 2:20Speaker 1: It is a blatant lie. It's obvious, and it has
- 2:25Speaker 1: to be deliberate. Look, even in Joe Biden's severely diminished state,
- 2:30Speaker 1: he knows he's lying. Gas was not five dollars a
- 2:34Speaker 1: gallon when he became president. It was two dollars and
- 2:37Speaker 1: thirty nine cents a gallon. That this is also an
- 2:40Speaker 1: interesting test for every some single fake news corporate media
- 2:45Speaker 1: outlet it pretends to do fact checking, if all of
- 2:49Speaker 1: them do not immediately fact check this and call it
- 2:52Speaker 1: out as a It's not kind of a little bit
- 2:55Speaker 1: a lie. It's not slightly a lie. He suggested. He
- 2:58Speaker 1: didn't suggest. He said that gas was more than twice
- 3:03Speaker 1: as much as it was when he came in, and
- 3:07Speaker 1: he did that because he wants to erase the massive
- 3:10Speaker 1: increase in gas prices that has happened because of his policies.
- 3:14Speaker 1: And when I'm curious, you know, watch him give that speech.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You know, I really do stagger to think that that
- 3:21Speaker 1: was actually written into his remarks. But it might have been.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I think it's a very good chance it was. So
- 3:29Speaker 1: it was so concise and coherent. You gotta think it
- 3:31Speaker 1: was up on the teleprompter. He usually when he ad libs,
- 3:36Speaker 1: is is more incoherent than that? That was remarkable, remarkably coherent.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It was just a flat outlie. You talk about fact checking,
- 3:45Speaker 1: and I laughed because you just mentioned how does this
- 3:49Speaker 1: not get fact check? Something so blatant that he and
- 3:52Speaker 1: again his exact quotes, the most common price of gas
- 3:56Speaker 1: in America is three thirty nine, down from over five
- 4:00Speaker 1: hours when I took off this. There's not a fact
- 4:02Speaker 1: checker in the world that cannot figure out that was wrong.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You just go back and look at the average gas
- 4:07Speaker 1: price in the day was inaugurated, and it's very clear
- 4:11Speaker 1: that it wasn't over five dollars a gallon. Yet, Senator
- 4:15Speaker 1: you went on the view and you challenged Whoopi Goldberg
- 4:20Speaker 1: and others when they acted like Republicans are the ones
- 4:23Speaker 1: that are trying to destroy America and domestic terrorists and
- 4:26Speaker 1: everybody that is a conservative is the equivalent of a
- 4:28Speaker 1: domestic terrorists or al qaider isis With January six and
- 4:33Speaker 1: you you basically brought up the point that Antifa had
- 4:36Speaker 1: burnt US cities for a year and Newsweek has now
- 4:40Speaker 1: come out fact checking you saying that your claim that
- 4:45Speaker 1: Antifa burnt US cities for a year is a flat
- 4:47Speaker 1: out foss which again, if you live in America, you
- 4:51Speaker 1: know that Antifa was going around and attacking police officers
- 4:56Speaker 1: and burning down churches and buildings and businesses. Well, I
- 5:01Speaker 1: will say this, this quote unquote fact check is is
- 5:04Speaker 1: self parroting, and and Twitter and the Internet has roasted
- 5:08Speaker 1: Newsweek pretty mercilessly for it. Um look on the View,
- 5:12Speaker 1: which we talked about before, was amazing fund going on
- 5:15Speaker 1: with with hosts who every day spread partisan propaganda. Whoopee
- 5:23Speaker 1: claimed that that it's only your party that engages in violence.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Our party doesn't do that, and I had to laugh.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I said, did you miss an entire year of Antifa
- 5:33Speaker 1: riots with with with cities burning all over the country.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So here was Newsweek's fact check. What they said as well,
- 5:40Speaker 1: Yes there were riots, and yes there were cities that burned,
- 5:44Speaker 1: but many of the riots didn't last the entire year,
- 5:48Speaker 1: although they then say, well many of them did, but
- 5:51Speaker 1: not all of them. Not all of the riots lasted
- 5:53Speaker 1: the entire year, and not all of the riots burned
- 5:56Speaker 1: the city. Sometimes they burned the city, sometimes they didn't
- 5:59Speaker 1: burn the city. And then they said, and by the way,
- 6:03Speaker 1: Antifa doesn't exist. That that's their end of their fact
- 6:06Speaker 1: check is they didn't all last more than a year,
- 6:09Speaker 1: not every one of them burn the cities, and there's
- 6:11Speaker 1: no such thing as Antifa. And every word of that
- 6:15Speaker 1: fact check is a lie. It is a deliberate lie.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yes they did, and it was reminiscent. You know, you
- 6:20Speaker 1: and I both remember when when CNN had a reporter
- 6:27Speaker 1: standing in front of a building that is raging with
- 6:31Speaker 1: fire and the chiron underneath. The reporters says, fiery but
- 6:37Speaker 1: mostly peaceful protests. Yeah, you know, they come and burn,
- 6:41Speaker 1: burn everything down around you, but it's mostly peaceful while
- 6:44Speaker 1: you're while they're burning it down. Like That's what this
- 6:47Speaker 1: Newsweek fact check was about. And it's not complicated. Well,
- 6:51Speaker 1: and I think fact checker is a partisan warrior. Well
- 6:56Speaker 1: that's what they do. And I think they just went
- 6:58Speaker 1: the headline right. Oh well, no, no, Ted Cruz lied
- 7:01Speaker 1: on the view. I saw a fact check about that.
- 7:03Speaker 1: No one reads down, no one goes back and looks
- 7:06Speaker 1: at it. It's just a it's a way I think
- 7:08Speaker 1: for the lapt to say no, no, Ted Cruz lied.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I know he did because a fact checker told me
- 7:12Speaker 1: he didn't. I saw the headline where they claim and
- 7:14Speaker 1: he lied, So therefore he's a liar. That is exactly
- 7:19Speaker 1: the game. I think the quote unquote fact checkers are
- 7:23Speaker 1: today's version of yellow journalism. They deliberately lie, and they
- 7:28Speaker 1: have all sorts of tricks they play. One of the
- 7:29Speaker 1: tricks is is the editorial selection. What it is they
- 7:33Speaker 1: choose to fact check. It's it's it's why I said
- 7:36Speaker 1: this Joe Biden's statement. I don't know if they'll check
- 7:38Speaker 1: it or not, but every one of them should. It's
- 7:40Speaker 1: it's it is a direct falsehood by the President of
- 7:45Speaker 1: the United States on the number one issue in the
- 7:48Speaker 1: polls nationally for an election less than two weeks away.
- 7:52Speaker 1: We'll see if they actually choose to fact check it.
- 7:55Speaker 1: So what they choose to fact check is one of
- 7:57Speaker 1: the ways they skew it. But they leave that left
- 8:02Speaker 1: wing opinion as a fact. And the irony. Actually, we've
- 8:05Speaker 1: had some fun with them Online Newsweek has actually written
- 8:09Speaker 1: multiple stories in the past about Antifa. So their final
- 8:12Speaker 1: kind of killer reason why what I said wasn't true
- 8:16Speaker 1: is they say Antifa doesn't exist, and I responded with
- 8:19Speaker 1: multiple Newsweek stories about Antifa, Antifa seals plotting violence, meeting
- 8:24Speaker 1: and like like from their own pages. But truth doesn't
- 8:28Speaker 1: matter because they're not even editorialists. They are liars. It's
- 8:32Speaker 1: what they do, and they try to package it up
- 8:36Speaker 1: as claiming it's some sort of fact center. One thing
- 8:41Speaker 1: that I know that you've really focused on, especially if
- 8:44Speaker 1: Republicans get back control of the Senate, is reigning in
- 8:48Speaker 1: big tech, and we had some big news that happen.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Not only did Elon Musk buy Twitter, but Elon Musk
- 8:56Speaker 1: is starting to fire people at Twitter. The partisan hacks
- 8:59Speaker 1: are there trying to bring back genuine and authentic free speech.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I want to talk about that in just a moment.

- 10:17Speaker 1: The Elon Musk has come in and fired four top
- 10:22Speaker 1: executives at Twitter, including the CEO, the same CEO that
- 10:26Speaker 1: brought in with the the the you know, the firing
- 10:31Speaker 1: and there, I should say, the fact checking and the
- 10:33Speaker 1: silencing and the closing down of accounts. Like the President
- 10:36Speaker 1: of the United States of America at the time, Donald Trump,
- 10:38Speaker 1: many other conservatives, he has now come in and said
- 10:42Speaker 1: I'm done with you guys. You're all fired. He didn't
- 10:45Speaker 1: waste any time firing the coming's top executives. I think
- 10:49Speaker 1: this is a huge step for freedom of speech with
- 10:52Speaker 1: big tech, so Ben, without exaggeration, I think this is
- 10:57Speaker 1: the single most important element for free speech in decades.
- 11:03Speaker 1: As you know, as we've talked about for a long time,
- 11:06Speaker 1: I think big tech is the biggest threat to free speech.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Big tech is also the biggest threat to free and
- 11:11Speaker 1: fair elections. And big tech every year has been getting
- 11:15Speaker 1: more and more brazen, more and more open about using
- 11:19Speaker 1: their monopoly power to try to silence conservatives, to try
- 11:23Speaker 1: to silence views they don't like, to try to silence
- 11:26Speaker 1: even some modicum of sanity, to try to silence someone
- 11:29Speaker 1: saying there is such a thing as boys and girls.
- 11:33Speaker 1: That's a view that they have decided is is hateful
- 11:36Speaker 1: to their woke sensibilities, and so you're not allowed to
- 11:38Speaker 1: say it. And as you noted, they've gone so far
- 11:41Speaker 1: as to ban the President of the United States, Donald Trump,
- 11:45Speaker 1: from using their platform and speaking because they've determined they
- 11:49Speaker 1: don't like what he has to say. They also ban
- 11:51Speaker 1: all sorts of conservatives places like the Babylon Bee, which
- 11:55Speaker 1: I think does some of the best humor and satire.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And when Elon Musk walked into the headquarters, so the
- 12:03Speaker 1: video he put out, it's actually quite bizarre. He walks
- 12:05Speaker 1: in the front door of the Twitter headquarters carrying a
- 12:08Speaker 1: porcelain sink. And I'll say, number one, the way he's walking,
- 12:13Speaker 1: I don't know if you've seen the gift of of Connor,
- 12:18Speaker 1: like stutting down the hallway. I gotta say Elon had
- 12:22Speaker 1: a strut very much like that. But he's carrying a big,
- 12:27Speaker 1: heavy porcelain's sake. And I was like, you look at
- 12:30Speaker 1: the image. You're kind of scratching your head like he's
- 12:32Speaker 1: gonna throw the sink at him, Like what what is that?
- 12:35Speaker 1: And I guess what he tweeted out is you know
- 12:38Speaker 1: that he was there, he said, let that sink in.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So it was kind of a giant pun which was
- 12:43Speaker 1: a little odd. But then he shows up and fires
- 12:46Speaker 1: the CEO, and fires the CFO, and fires the Chief
- 12:49Speaker 1: Legal and Policy Officer, and fires the chief operating officer,
- 12:52Speaker 1: all within minutes of walking in the door. That is
- 12:57Speaker 1: so incredibly important, and listen, I am. Elon has stated
- 13:01Speaker 1: that he wants Twitter to be a town hall for
- 13:07Speaker 1: democracy where people can express their views, and if their
- 13:11Speaker 1: views are wrong, other people can disagree and you can
- 13:13Speaker 1: actually have free speech and the remedy for bad speeches
- 13:17Speaker 1: more speech, not censorship. I assume it is going to
- 13:21Speaker 1: take some time to turn the ship of Twitter, but
- 13:25Speaker 1: I got to say fire in the top executives certainly
- 13:28Speaker 1: gets the attention of every employee at that company, and
- 13:32Speaker 1: I hope sends a real signal that Twitter is out
- 13:35Speaker 1: of the business of censorship. He's obviously going to have
- 13:39Speaker 1: to bring in new people who are committed to making
- 13:43Speaker 1: Twitter an oasis of free speech and that I'm really
- 13:46Speaker 1: hopeful that happens. I'm glad that it happened before election day.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I think that we've seen big tech is particularly egregious
- 13:54Speaker 1: when elections are approaching. Both Twitter and Facebook were shameless
- 13:58Speaker 1: in censoring and silencing the Hunter Biden story, which was
- 14:02Speaker 1: true and unequivocal to Hunter Biden laptop. And yet they
- 14:05Speaker 1: shut down The New York Post for daring to report
- 14:08Speaker 1: on stories that are unfavorable to Joe Biden before at election.
- 14:13Speaker 1: This is a big deal. Let me let me pull
- 14:16Speaker 1: back the curtain a little bit. This is one of
- 14:18Speaker 1: the most fun things about being on the bus tour
- 14:21Speaker 1: with you and last night at dinner, and this is
- 14:22Speaker 1: one of those questions that we probably would have would
- 14:26Speaker 1: have been said to the table, And I'm going to
- 14:29Speaker 1: ask it to you because I think this is one
- 14:31Speaker 1: of those moments where if you were sitting with you
- 14:33Speaker 1: on Musk and he just fired these people. You've dealt
- 14:37Speaker 1: with Twitter from a from the standpoint of being in Congress,
- 14:41Speaker 1: You've you've seen how harmful the attacks on conservatives and
- 14:46Speaker 1: silencing of viewpoints has been on the country. What advice
- 14:50Speaker 1: would you give him? Would you say, hey, go into
- 14:53Speaker 1: your company and let people know about algorithm changes, in
- 14:58Speaker 1: shadow banning and the policies that they had internally towards conservatives.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Would you open the books and essence and say, show
- 15:06Speaker 1: everybody what you just inherited so they know how bad
- 15:09Speaker 1: it was. Absolutely. I think that's one of the most
- 15:12Speaker 1: important things he can do, is institute transparency. And so
- 15:16Speaker 1: I've been hammering big tech for years trying to get
- 15:19Speaker 1: them to answer simple questions like questions. I've asked Twitter,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I've asked Facebook, I've asked Google, I've asked YouTube. In
- 15:26Speaker 1: the twenty sixteen elections, how many posts from Republican candidates
- 15:32Speaker 1: for office? Did you suppress or throttle how many posts
- 15:36Speaker 1: from Democrat candidates for office? In twenty eighteen, same questions
- 15:39Speaker 1: in twenty twenty, same questions in twenty twenty two, same questions. Consistently,
- 15:45Speaker 1: Big Tech refuses to answer that question. They give answers
- 15:49Speaker 1: that are essentially go jump in a lake. During the
- 15:51Speaker 1: all four years of the Trump administration, I tried to
- 15:54Speaker 1: get DOJ to use subpoenas to get answers to those questions. Unfortunately,
- 16:00Speaker 1: the Department of Justice couldn't get that done that they
- 16:03Speaker 1: were not able to execute it effectively. They should have.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I think one of the first steps Elon should do
- 16:11Speaker 1: is hire someone credible to engage in a careful audit
- 16:16Speaker 1: and commit to make the results of that audit public.
- 16:20Speaker 1: And it's not just blocking, because blocking is one thing,
- 16:24Speaker 1: but but shadow banning is even more insidious because it's invisible.
- 16:30Speaker 1: So it's one thing. Ben. If if you put out
- 16:32Speaker 1: a post and they just say, okay, Ben, you're off Twitter.
- 16:34Speaker 1: We've decided we don't like what Ben Ferguson says. You're silenced,
- 16:38Speaker 1: that's a little clottish and obvious. The second level that
- 16:42Speaker 1: is more pernicious, is they just say, Okay, Ben your tweets,
- 16:48Speaker 1: we're going to allow one one thousandth of your followers
- 16:52Speaker 1: to see any given tweet and you have no idea
- 16:55Speaker 1: if that's the case. I have no idea if that's
- 16:57Speaker 1: the case. I think answering those questions providing thorough transparency
- 17:04Speaker 1: and look a good place for Elon to start is
- 17:08Speaker 1: I've submitted written questions. In fact, when Mark Zuckerberg testified
- 17:12Speaker 1: before the Senate, I submitted I think six hundred and
- 17:14Speaker 1: thirty six questions to Facebook for them to answer. Unfortunately,
- 17:19Speaker 1: they had lawyers right answers that were just go jump
- 17:22Speaker 1: in a lake, and we did not have the legal
- 17:25Speaker 1: force of a subpoena to hold them to account for
- 17:28Speaker 1: refusing to answer. Elon should answer those questions, and that
- 17:33Speaker 1: will have an impact not just on Twitter, but it
- 17:36Speaker 1: will have an impact on Facebook, an impact on Google,
- 17:38Speaker 1: an impact on YouTube. This is a big deal for
- 17:41Speaker 1: the whole world, a big tech, not just Twitter. Because
- 17:46Speaker 1: the more Elon provides transparency, the more pressure there will
- 17:50Speaker 1: be on the other players to do the same. I
- 17:52Speaker 1: want to also be clear because there's so many people
- 17:55Speaker 1: that are going to misconstrue when we say we want
- 17:58Speaker 1: there to be thickly transparency. We're not asking for Elon
- 18:03Speaker 1: or expecting for Elon Musk. I think you would agree
- 18:06Speaker 1: with me to come in and all of a sudden silence, liberals.
- 18:09Speaker 1: We're just asking for genuine, authentic free speech to happen
- 18:13Speaker 1: for everyone. Absolutely. Yes. You know. A couple of years
- 18:18Speaker 1: ago I met with the CEO of YouTube who came
- 18:20Speaker 1: by my office and at the time, YouTube was engaged
- 18:25Speaker 1: in battle with Stephen Crowder, a friend of yours, friend
- 18:27Speaker 1: of mine who has a great show. I've been on
- 18:29Speaker 1: his show a bunch of times. And Crowder had was
- 18:33Speaker 1: having a battle with a left wing journalist and they
- 18:35Speaker 1: were look crowd as a comedian. So he was tossing
- 18:39Speaker 1: some crass insults at the journalists and the journalist was
- 18:42Speaker 1: insulting him back, and they were having a Twitter fight.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Twitter made a determination to quote demonetize Stephen Crowder, and
- 18:52Speaker 1: I'm sorry not Twitter, YouTube and the and the YouTube
- 18:55Speaker 1: ceo was in my office and she explained to me.
- 18:57Speaker 1: She said, well, we determined that crowd or did not
- 19:00Speaker 1: do anything that violated our policies. Okay, that's a big deal. Okay,
- 19:04Speaker 1: no violation of policies, whatever those policies are, and however
- 19:07Speaker 1: arbitrary they are. But they said, she said, we decided
- 19:11Speaker 1: to demonetize him anyway. But she said, look, you should
- 19:15Speaker 1: be really happy because we didn't block him all together.
- 19:18Speaker 1: We allowed to put up his show. He's just not
- 19:20Speaker 1: allowed to earn any revenue on it. And I just
- 19:23Speaker 1: started laughing at her as she sat on the couch
- 19:26Speaker 1: in my office. I said, number one, you know, talk
- 19:32Speaker 1: about an Orwellian word. We just demonetized him. I said,
- 19:37Speaker 1: how would YouTube like it if someone just demonetized you.
- 19:41Speaker 1: You just can't earn any revenue. That's just a simple thing.
- 19:43Speaker 1: It's not like you actually need to earn revenue to
- 19:46Speaker 1: have a business and run a business and pay employees.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I mean, we're just magically disappear your money. And I said,
- 19:51Speaker 1: let me be clear about something, and she said, look,
- 19:55Speaker 1: people on the left were pushing us to block him
- 19:58Speaker 1: all together, and aren't you proud of us? We said no,
- 20:01Speaker 1: and I said, listen, the pressure to silence is only
- 20:05Speaker 1: coming from one direction. It's the Bernie Sanders, it's the
- 20:08Speaker 1: Joe Biden's, It's the aocs that are saying silence conservatives
- 20:12Speaker 1: because we don't want anyone to hear what they say.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I said, I'm not asking you to silence them. In fact,
- 20:18Speaker 1: to be honest, I want as many people as possible
- 20:21Speaker 1: to hear what they're saying because I think it makes
- 20:23Speaker 1: no sense. I think it's idiotic. And the more people
- 20:25Speaker 1: hear what they're saying, particularly if they can hear substance
- 20:29Speaker 1: and facts in response, the more people will realize this.
- 20:33Speaker 1: When it comes to censorship, it is a one way ratchet.
- 20:36Speaker 1: So absolutely I do not want and I don't believe
- 20:39Speaker 1: Elon will censor voices on the left. I think the
- 20:44Speaker 1: marketplace of ideas is how we should resolve who's right
- 20:48Speaker 1: and who's wrong. Yeah, it's it's going to be very interesting,
- 20:52Speaker 1: as you said, to see what happens with Twitter, how
- 20:56Speaker 1: much they expose how business practices were really being done
- 21:00Speaker 1: behind closed doors, and then that will clearly show us.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I think a lot about these other companies and how
- 21:06Speaker 1: they were doing the exact same thing. I want to
- 21:09Speaker 1: move to another issue that I think now is a
- 21:11Speaker 1: very important one. Senor your number. I want I want
- 21:15Speaker 1: everybody to know what do you see with the Senate
- 21:18Speaker 1: right now, especially after the Fetterman debate with doctor Oz
- 21:25Speaker 1: and you just left Georgia and you did at a
- 21:28Speaker 1: rally in Georgia for herschel Walker there. What do you
- 21:32Speaker 1: think the Senate could look like if Republicans show up
- 21:35Speaker 1: on election Day? Well, I think the delta, the range
- 21:38Speaker 1: for the Senate is anywhere between. In a horrible, cataclysmic outcome,
- 21:45Speaker 1: we could see as few as forty eight Republicans. In
- 21:49Speaker 1: an incredible outcome, we could see as many as maybe
- 21:52Speaker 1: fifty six or fifty seven Republicans. And personally, what I
- 21:56Speaker 1: believe is likely is fifty three fifty four. I think
- 22:01Speaker 1: that is the most likely outcome. I think the last
- 22:05Speaker 1: forty eight hours those numbers have gone up. Number one.
- 22:10Speaker 1: The Fetterman debate was the biggest train wreck of a
- 22:14Speaker 1: debate perhaps ever. All of us suspected that Fetterman still
- 22:21Speaker 1: had significant, meaningful impairment. I don't think anyone was prepared
- 22:28Speaker 1: for the level of impairment he demonstrated. Watching that was
- 22:32Speaker 1: affirmatively painful. I gotta say, I've seen a lot of
- 22:34Speaker 1: political debates. I've never seen anyone started debate by saying
- 22:38Speaker 1: good night like that just is random. The answer Fetterman
- 22:44Speaker 1: gave on fracking was you watch it and you actually
- 22:49Speaker 1: want to like take him to a hospital bed and
- 22:51Speaker 1: just have him lie down. And I think that debate
- 22:56Speaker 1: significantly changed the calculus in that race and made it
- 23:01Speaker 1: much more likely that doctor Oz wins in November. Across
- 23:07Speaker 1: the country today, I spent all day campaigning in Georgia
- 23:10Speaker 1: with Herschel Walker. We did we did rallies all over
- 23:13Speaker 1: the state, huge rallies, packed rallies. The energy is fantastic. Walker,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I think is surging. I think Herschel is likely to
- 23:21Speaker 1: win that race. And I think across the country, the
- 23:26Speaker 1: majority the momentum is with us, and so all of
- 23:30Speaker 1: these races are getting more favorable for Republicans and if
- 23:34Speaker 1: that continues, our likely outcome is looking better and better.
- 23:39Speaker 1: But that only happens if we make sure we show up.
- 23:42Speaker 1: And one of the things that's encouraging early vote numbers.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Right now, we're seeing Republicans show up in significant numbers.
- 23:49Speaker 1: We're seeing that in Georgia, we're seeing that in Texas,
- 23:51Speaker 1: we're seeing that elsewhere. That's a good sign. Democrats are demoralized,
- 23:55Speaker 1: a spirited, you know, they're guys have mucked it all up,
- 23:59Speaker 1: and so they're not excited about coming to vote, and
- 24:02Speaker 1: Republicans are really pissed and are showing up to vote.
- 24:06Speaker 1: We need to make sure we keep doing that. And
- 24:07Speaker 1: if that happens, I think we will end up with
- 24:10Speaker 1: a significant majority in both houses. You know. I think
- 24:13Speaker 1: Fetterman in that debate the other night is going to
- 24:15Speaker 1: actually have an impact possibly nationwide in other races. And
- 24:19Speaker 1: the reason why I say that is I think there's
- 24:21Speaker 1: so many people that witness that and they sit there
- 24:24Speaker 1: and they go if the Democratic Party will do this
- 24:28Speaker 1: to a guy like Fetterman and just kind of prop
- 24:30Speaker 1: them up because they're so desperate to keep a seat
- 24:33Speaker 1: instead of actually take care of someone and say, look,
- 24:37Speaker 1: you need you know, you need medical attention, you need
- 24:40Speaker 1: you know, there's so many things you can do with
- 24:42Speaker 1: rehab and help for you to have a better, you know,
- 24:45Speaker 1: life than what it is right now that we're witnessing
- 24:48Speaker 1: on TV. I think there's a lot of people to think, Wow,
- 24:50Speaker 1: this party in essence is so liss They will prop
- 24:53Speaker 1: up anybody. Forget Joe Biden walking around can't get off
- 24:57Speaker 1: a stage. It's almost a form of abuse what they're
- 25:00Speaker 1: doing to Fetterman in his campaign. I cannot believe did
- 25:04Speaker 1: somebody that doesn't step in on his behalf, that cares
- 25:06Speaker 1: about him and say, hey, stop taking advantage of him
- 25:09Speaker 1: just so you guys can win a seat. Well, and
- 25:15Speaker 1: as you noted, the connection with Joe Biden is significant
- 25:18Speaker 1: because it's reinforcing a message. People are seeing Joe Biden
- 25:21Speaker 1: every day with serious diminished metal capacity, and they know
- 25:25Speaker 1: that the Democrats are willing to lie about it, and
- 25:27Speaker 1: they know that the media is willing to lie about it.
- 25:30Speaker 1: And with Fetterman, remember he did an interview with an
- 25:34Speaker 1: NBC host who was a junior reporter, and she commented
- 25:38Speaker 1: afterwards how he really had trouble understanding their conversation, and
- 25:45Speaker 1: the big established names and mainstream journalism lost their mind
- 25:49Speaker 1: and were denouncing this this young reporter for daring to
- 25:53Speaker 1: report the actual facts of what she saw, that he
- 25:58Speaker 1: had trouble understand her questions and he had trouble articulating
- 26:03Speaker 1: an answer. Well, everyone who watched the debate, millions, tens
- 26:08Speaker 1: of millions of people saw that in the debate, and
- 26:12Speaker 1: I think there's a really powerful realization some people are
- 26:17Speaker 1: having that. Wait a second, all of these media folks
- 26:19Speaker 1: who told me he's just fine. They were lying to me,
- 26:24Speaker 1: And every day the media does more to damage their credibility.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Because when you are a liar day in and day out,
- 26:32Speaker 1: and the lies always benefit the party you want to win,
- 26:36Speaker 1: at some point even people not paying that close of
- 26:39Speaker 1: attention start to notice the pattern. Well and now and
- 26:42Speaker 1: now you see the same media that was saying he's
- 26:44Speaker 1: fine now attacking conservatives of GOP. Joe Behar in The
- 26:49Speaker 1: View said this today about basically, how dare you bring
- 26:52Speaker 1: up his impairment? Listen, a's about showing Federman stumbling on
- 26:58Speaker 1: things because of the stroke. Kind of a doctor is
- 27:01Speaker 1: behind that. Aren't you supposed to do no harm? It's
- 27:03Speaker 1: so unempathetic to the guy, you know. And I just
- 27:07Speaker 1: want to say that Oz is very slick. He's a
- 27:10Speaker 1: TV guy. Remember that there's another woman in Arizona, Carrie Lake,
- 27:14Speaker 1: also a TV woman, So they're very slick, you know.
- 27:17Speaker 1: And Fetterman's kind of like you know, with the stroke
- 27:20Speaker 1: and without the stroke, is not a slick, but he
- 27:22Speaker 1: has ideas and he has governed. I've never heard a
- 27:27Speaker 1: worst sales pitch senator from somebody. I mean, not only
- 27:30Speaker 1: is she criticizing people to do TV while she's on
- 27:33Speaker 1: TV doing what she does on TV. But she's literally
- 27:38Speaker 1: saying that you're unpatriotic and you're unempathetic if you question
- 27:42Speaker 1: a man's cognitive ability to do a job, which is
- 27:45Speaker 1: a very serious job that is more than just pushing
- 27:49Speaker 1: yes and no no in the Senate. You know how
- 27:51Speaker 1: complicated this job is. Well, it's not complicated what she's doing.
- 27:57Speaker 1: She is engaging as a partisan hack. She wants the
- 28:00Speaker 1: Democrat to win, no matter what. And and so it's
- 28:03Speaker 1: funny watching their talking points shift because their talking points
- 28:06Speaker 1: have now moved to to saying, well, you're not allowed
- 28:11Speaker 1: to point out that he is serious cognitively disabled. That
- 28:17Speaker 1: it's discrimination to say it's not able to do his job.
- 28:21Speaker 1: You know, Fetterman's wife is out there attacking you know
- 28:24Speaker 1: any anyone who says this is this is this is
- 28:26Speaker 1: able ism? Well, I would like are elected officials to
- 28:31Speaker 1: be able like like there are. It is actually a
- 28:36Speaker 1: job requirement to be able to understand the issues before you,
- 28:43Speaker 1: to hear evidence, to hear testimony, to read complicated bills,
- 28:48Speaker 1: to assess public policy, to assess national security, to assess
- 28:52Speaker 1: classified intel, to meet with constituents, to understand their concerns
- 28:57Speaker 1: to advocate on their behalf. And if you can't engage
- 29:02Speaker 1: in a simple conversation and know what the hell is
- 29:05Speaker 1: going on, you are not able to do the job.
- 29:09Speaker 1: You know, it's a little bit like saying someone who's
- 29:11Speaker 1: paralyzed from the neck down. It's discrimination to say that
- 29:14Speaker 1: we're that they're not going to play him in the NBA. Look,
- 29:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry if if, if someone has limitations, and and
- 29:24Speaker 1: but it is eminently relevant to the job. But I'll
- 29:29Speaker 1: say two other things you and I talked about before.
- 29:32Speaker 1: How I said that I thought it was a mistake
- 29:37Speaker 1: for the os campaign to focus as much as they
- 29:40Speaker 1: did on Fetterman's serious mental impairment. And the reason I
- 29:44Speaker 1: thought it was a mistake is it was potentially curable.
- 29:48Speaker 1: In the debate, if he stood up and said three
- 29:52Speaker 1: coherent sentences, it suddenly makes one of the major attacks disappear.
- 29:56Speaker 1: And and to some extent, that happened with Trump and Biden,
- 30:00Speaker 1: where in the twenty twenty campaign, the Trump campaign made
- 30:03Speaker 1: such an issue of Biden's diminished mental state that we
- 30:07Speaker 1: got to the debates and Biden did put out three
- 30:10Speaker 1: coherent sentences and a lot of people said, oh, okay,
- 30:12Speaker 1: he's fine. So I thought it was a strategic error
- 30:15Speaker 1: to focus on that. That being said, I had no
- 30:21Speaker 1: idea that putting out three coherent sentences was beyond something
- 30:28Speaker 1: he was capable of doing. And you know, it's an
- 30:31Speaker 1: interesting conversation the dinner we reference that we had with
- 30:36Speaker 1: some great minds and a number of senior members of
- 30:40Speaker 1: my political team. One of them made the following points said,
- 30:47Speaker 1: political consultants rarely win a campaign. The candidate has to
- 30:52Speaker 1: win a campaign, but a political consultant can lose a campaign.
- 30:57Speaker 1: And there is a very good possibility that Federns consultant,
- 31:00Speaker 1: whoever's running the campaign, lost that campaign by allowing him
- 31:06Speaker 1: to appear in that debate. It's it's remarkable. Presumably the
- 31:10Speaker 1: campaign knows, they know he has this impairment, that he's
- 31:14Speaker 1: not able to get out three coherent sentences. They put
- 31:18Speaker 1: them up there anyway, and I think that is was
- 31:21Speaker 1: a stunning mistake. I'm surprised they didn't announce the morning
- 31:25Speaker 1: of the debate, Oh sorry, Fetterman has COVID. He's going
- 31:28Speaker 1: to be conveniently quarantined for the next two weeks. But
- 31:31Speaker 1: you can see him the day after election day. And
- 31:34Speaker 1: we've talked previously on the pod about the Democrats strategy
- 31:39Speaker 1: of ducking debates. I think Fetterman's disastrous performance in this
- 31:45Speaker 1: debate will accelerate in the next cycle Democrat candidates saying
- 31:51Speaker 1: I'm not going to debate debate because there's risk that
- 31:54Speaker 1: it could be bad. And if I don't do any debates,
- 31:57Speaker 1: the media will protect me and they'll be my messenger center.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I think this is exactly why there's so many voters
- 32:04Speaker 1: out there right now that are looking at these mid
- 32:07Speaker 1: terms as an issue of just flat out trusts. They
- 32:10Speaker 1: don't trust the media, they don't trust the Democrats. They
- 32:13Speaker 1: look at you in the face and tell you that
- 32:15Speaker 1: there the economy is in great shape when it's not.
- 32:17Speaker 1: There's a montage of just some of the top lies
- 32:21Speaker 1: that we've heard from this administration, and I want people
- 32:25Speaker 1: to understand that if you go out there and you
- 32:27Speaker 1: talk to your family and you talk to your friends,
- 32:30Speaker 1: remind them that this Biden administration has been lying to
- 32:34Speaker 1: you since day one, and these are just a few
- 32:36Speaker 1: of the highlights of this administration. You're not going to
- 32:39Speaker 1: get COVID if you have these vaccinations. Vaccinated people do
- 32:43Speaker 1: not carry the virus, don't get sick. Getting those shots
- 32:46Speaker 1: out for five to eleven year olds is going to
- 32:48Speaker 1: provide a lot of comfort to American families. Horses very
- 32:52Speaker 1: running over people being strapped. The horrific video of the
- 32:55Speaker 1: CBP officers on horse on horses using brutal and inappropriate
- 32:59Speaker 1: measures against people. We have a secure border. The border
- 33:04Speaker 1: is in fact secure. The border is closed. The border
- 33:08Speaker 1: is secure, The border is secure, the border is closed.
- 33:13Speaker 1: We've been unequivocal in that on the issue of Afghanistan,
- 33:17Speaker 1: and to that end we have seen a successful drawdown
- 33:21Speaker 1: of the embassy. I think it's irresponsible to say Americans
- 33:24Speaker 1: are stranded. They're not. This is Jim Crow on steroids
- 33:27Speaker 1: what they're doing in Georgia. This is all about keeping
- 33:30Speaker 1: working folks and ordinary folks. So I grew up with
- 33:33Speaker 1: from being able to vote. The reconciliation package would cost
- 33:36Speaker 1: zero dollars. The cost of these bills in terms value
- 33:38Speaker 1: of the deficit is zero. Some have expressed publicly that
- 33:42Speaker 1: they're not comfortable with three point five even though zero
- 33:46Speaker 1: costs zero dollars, zero, zero, zero. This bill is fully
- 33:51Speaker 1: paid for, and we'll not raise taxes on anyone making
- 33:55Speaker 1: less than four hundred thousand dollars a year. Let me
- 33:57Speaker 1: say that again, be crystal clear, no one making less
- 34:02Speaker 1: than four hundred thousand dollars you will pay a single
- 34:05Speaker 1: additional penny and tax for all these things that are
- 34:07Speaker 1: in the and the Build back Better plan. You listen
- 34:11Speaker 1: to these and the scary part of the center. We
- 34:13Speaker 1: have another two minutes of these lies that we put together,
- 34:16Speaker 1: but those are just some of the big ones. This election,
- 34:19Speaker 1: I truly think comes down to the issue of who
- 34:22Speaker 1: do you trust more to not lie to you? Who
- 34:24Speaker 1: do you trust more to tell you the truth? You
- 34:27Speaker 1: listen to those lies. We have a secure border, you know,
- 34:29Speaker 1: that's a lie you've been talking about forever. That this
- 34:32Speaker 1: bill that you know, and we didn't even get to
- 34:34Speaker 1: the bill of the right, the we're going to make
- 34:36Speaker 1: sure the economy is all great. Right, we're gonna make
- 34:39Speaker 1: sure that there's no more inflation. Bill that they just passed.
- 34:41Speaker 1: And guess what it had nothing to do with It
- 34:43Speaker 1: had to do with all these green alternative energies, energy ideas.
- 34:48Speaker 1: These are the lies they tell you. And I think
- 34:50Speaker 1: people are actually at the point now where they say enough, yeah,
- 34:54Speaker 1: look it has been so brazen and and there are
- 34:58Speaker 1: more that can be included, including one of the most astonishing.
- 35:00Speaker 1: They're like it was Republicans that wanted to shut down
- 35:03Speaker 1: schools and it was Democrats that wanted to open up schools,
- 35:07Speaker 1: which is like, at some level you have to sit
- 35:09Speaker 1: back and be like, all right, holy crap, that that's
- 35:12Speaker 1: some chutzpah. Look like it just you know, you know,
- 35:16Speaker 1: it's like stranger things going into the upside down. I mean,
- 35:19Speaker 1: I mean they you know, Karine Jean Pierre standing at
- 35:22Speaker 1: the White House press podium and saying people are not
- 35:25Speaker 1: just walking across the border. It's not happening. There is
- 35:29Speaker 1: a level, you know, Yeah, you actually have to ask
- 35:33Speaker 1: why is it that this administration feels so comfortable lying
- 35:40Speaker 1: on a daily basis on things that are obviously lies,
- 35:43Speaker 1: that are laughably demonstrably lies. And it is directly connected
- 35:48Speaker 1: to the corruption of the media. The two are intertwined.
- 35:53Speaker 1: My new book This Week, Justice Corrupted, How the Left
- 35:56Speaker 1: is weaponized the legal system. A lot of what it
- 35:58Speaker 1: talks about, why is Obama and now Biden able to
- 36:02Speaker 1: turn the Department of Justice and the FBI and the
- 36:05Speaker 1: IRS and the CIA and the federal government into a
- 36:08Speaker 1: weapon to target their political enemies. One of the big,
- 36:11Speaker 1: big reasons is because they count on the corporate media
- 36:15Speaker 1: to be their praetorian guard, to not question them, to
- 36:20Speaker 1: not report on it, to not acknowledge that it exists,
- 36:23Speaker 1: to do what Newsweek did with their idiotic fact check
- 36:27Speaker 1: on Antifa, to do what CNN and MSNBC do every day,
- 36:32Speaker 1: which is ignore the lies and even worse, sometimes report
- 36:38Speaker 1: the lies as truth and be active participants in lying.
- 36:42Speaker 1: And the more that happens, the more people realize, Okay,
- 36:45Speaker 1: I get the game. You know, when when Donald Trump
- 36:49Speaker 1: first started referring to fake news to a lot of people,
- 36:53Speaker 1: it was jarring. What's interesting is it's not jarring anymore
- 36:57Speaker 1: that it has been so conclusively demonstrated that I think
- 37:03Speaker 1: millions of people are realizing these people are liars, and
- 37:06Speaker 1: they're in the business of aiding and abetting liars who
- 37:08Speaker 1: are lying to us. And that means you got to
- 37:10Speaker 1: find alternative ways to find the truth. And that's that's
- 37:13Speaker 1: one of the values of something like this podcast. It is.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Senator I appreciate you getting on the tour. You fighting
- 37:21Speaker 1: for so many conservatives. You're out there if people want
- 37:23Speaker 1: to see where you're going to be, Where you're going next.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Tcbus tour dot com, tcbustour dot com. You can come.
- 37:30Speaker 1: So many listeners, by the way of this podcast have
- 37:34Speaker 1: shown up on the road and I know that's meant
- 37:36Speaker 1: the world to you. So to all of you that
- 37:37Speaker 1: have showed up, thank you. Thank you for listening and
- 37:40Speaker 1: supporting the senator and all the candidates that he is supporting. Uh,
- 37:44Speaker 1: stay in the game. Make sure you keep talking to
- 37:46Speaker 1: your family and your friends. Where are you guys going
- 37:49Speaker 1: next on the tour. Well, we're in Orlando right now.
- 37:53Speaker 1: We've got a rally tomorrow and Orlando with two congressional candidates,
- 37:58Speaker 1: Corey Mills and Scott As Scotty More. And then we're
- 38:02Speaker 1: headed to Michigan. We're headed to Utah. We're headed to
- 38:06Speaker 1: Texas for the big blowout rally at the end of
- 38:10Speaker 1: the bus tour. And I got to say, we're seeing
- 38:13Speaker 1: packed houses. You know you were with us in Franklin,
- 38:16Speaker 1: Tennessee last night. We had thirteen fourteen hundred people come
- 38:21Speaker 1: out in a rally for Andy Ogules, who is a
- 38:25Speaker 1: conservative running is going to be elected. I believe to
- 38:28Speaker 1: the House and be a strong conservative leader. We're seeing
- 38:31Speaker 1: that kind of enthusiasm the rallies today for herschel Walker,
- 38:36Speaker 1: huge crowds, and there's an energy and enthusiasm that I
- 38:40Speaker 1: think is just growing every day. It is no doubt
- 38:42Speaker 1: about it grabbed the new book Justice Corrupted, How the
