- 2:02Speaker 1: show will a good morning everybody you'll listening to the voice.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:08Speaker 1: Man got a radio show. How good is God? Hum?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Think about it? Just take a slight inventory of your
- 2:14Speaker 1: own life and say it to yourself when you get through,
- 2:17Speaker 1: how good is God? H Think of all the small things,
- 2:20Speaker 1: all this because that's him. You breathe. That's him. You
- 2:24Speaker 1: steal him. That's him, You got another chance. That's him.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You ain't out of here. That's him. You got any
- 2:33Speaker 1: measure of health, that's him. You think it's more to
- 2:36Speaker 1: it than it really is, that it already showed up
- 2:38Speaker 1: to be. That's him. All of that. You got any
- 2:41Speaker 1: dreams of aspirations, you dream of other things. That's him
- 2:46Speaker 1: all that, that's him. That's him him. Close you got,
- 2:49Speaker 1: that's him every time you eat. That's why they had
- 2:52Speaker 1: this thing called you say your grace. That's him. That's him, man,
- 2:56Speaker 1: that's him. It's amazing when you take a small inventory
- 2:59Speaker 1: how you find out how big God really is in
- 3:01Speaker 1: your life. Now, the more you turn yourself over to him,
- 3:04Speaker 1: the bigger he can be. For you. See, he'll only
- 3:07Speaker 1: be as big as you let him. It's one thing
- 3:09Speaker 1: about God. Now, he's a gentleman. He can make you
- 3:13Speaker 1: do anything. You know, you get too big for him,
- 3:17Speaker 1: you know you you you, you lose your humbleness. He
- 3:21Speaker 1: can humble you. Now. God created man with the power
- 3:26Speaker 1: of choice. We're the only creature he created that. He
- 3:30Speaker 1: gave us the total power of choice. When we mate,
- 3:33Speaker 1: who we mate with. You know everything, all of it. Man.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It's the choice what we want to be, how much
- 3:41Speaker 1: we want to make, where we want to live, what
- 3:42Speaker 1: climate we want to live in. We can live in
- 3:44Speaker 1: cold climates, hot climates. You know, we speak different languages.
- 3:48Speaker 1: You can go learn another language. A bear can't do
- 3:53Speaker 1: nothing but be a bear. He can't go learn how
- 3:57Speaker 1: to be a fox. He can't go learn how to
- 4:00Speaker 1: be an artor. He just can't. An ostrich is an
- 4:03Speaker 1: ostrich man. He can't come out of here and fight
- 4:06Speaker 1: like a lion. A lion is a lion. A lion
- 4:09Speaker 1: eating meat. He can't eat vegetables. I don't care how
- 4:12Speaker 1: much meat ain't around. He'll lay down and pull up
- 4:15Speaker 1: out of here and die because he can't eat grass.
- 4:18Speaker 1: He's just a lion man. You understand this that God
- 4:22Speaker 1: gave us. We are the one creature he created that
- 4:26Speaker 1: has total power of choice. You can make every decision
- 4:29Speaker 1: in your life. What kind of watch you like? That's
- 4:32Speaker 1: the one you can buy. You want to live in Switzerland,
- 4:36Speaker 1: go ahead. You don't like Switzerland, you can move to Miami.
- 4:41Speaker 1: You want to live your life a crime, go ahead.
- 4:45Speaker 1: That's you. He gave you the power of choice. You
- 4:47Speaker 1: want to do right? Come on, So now look at
- 4:51Speaker 1: this thing. We are all the results of a series
- 4:58Speaker 1: of decisions that we have made. If we could just
- 5:03Speaker 1: identify that the problem is us, we could began the solution.
- 5:09Speaker 1: See that's the problem, y'all, it's us. It's what we do.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I threw my life down the hill. I can't tell
- 5:18Speaker 1: you how many years based on some decisions that I
- 5:21Speaker 1: was making. Now I can justify my decision with I
- 5:24Speaker 1: wasn't happy and I was doing this and I was
- 5:26Speaker 1: in miserying y'all on that, yes to you when you
- 5:29Speaker 1: get through. You made the decisions though, and you can
- 5:33Speaker 1: look at this anywhere you want to, y'all. But at
- 5:34Speaker 1: the end of the day, I'm just talking to people
- 5:36Speaker 1: that's really really wanting to improve their position in life.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And how do you do that? You got to have
- 5:43Speaker 1: a solution. How do you come up with a solution?
- 5:47Speaker 1: You got to identify the problem to even began to
- 5:52Speaker 1: solve it. But if the problem ain't ever you, how
- 5:57Speaker 1: are you gonna solve something that ain't you? See? Okay,
- 6:03Speaker 1: let me look at this one. If somebody said, like
- 6:08Speaker 1: I got a child of mine, man, I just do
- 6:10Speaker 1: right here. Man, I don't even wanna get into it
- 6:12Speaker 1: this morning, or I'm struggling with this this boy. But man,
- 6:16Speaker 1: you go to people, you ask them why they do so.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I just I just wasn't taking care of business. Why
- 6:24Speaker 1: I just didn't take care of business? Boy, do you
- 6:27Speaker 1: understand that your life is gonna be filled with you
- 6:30Speaker 1: got to take care of business. So when you're gonna start.
- 6:34Speaker 1: You know what, man, You can't, you can't. You can't
- 6:37Speaker 1: go through life blaming everybody. It's got to be you. See,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you can fix you. You You can't fix nobody else if
- 6:43Speaker 1: you keep getting married and the marriages don't work. Hello, Hello, Hello,
- 6:48Speaker 1: could it be you? South finally had to sit down
- 6:53Speaker 1: and just make that decision. They don't need to be
- 6:55Speaker 1: coming on the radio talking about nobody else and what
- 6:57Speaker 1: they did to me, and y'all just don't know. No, no, no, man,
- 7:01Speaker 1: what about the part you played in it? Because see,
- 7:03Speaker 1: if you got a good marriage, you got a part
- 7:05Speaker 1: to play in that. If you got a bad one,
- 7:07Speaker 1: you got a part to play in that. Even if
- 7:11Speaker 1: it just get down to you the one picked them,
- 7:13Speaker 1: how about that, mister, mister, I made a decision. The
- 7:18Speaker 1: problem is usually within yourself. Do you know? That's the
- 7:21Speaker 1: quickst an easy way to fix your life. That way,
- 7:24Speaker 1: you ain't got to check with nobody. Here's the beauty
- 7:27Speaker 1: of going on and admitting that is you. You don't
- 7:31Speaker 1: have to check or clear it with nobody to start
- 7:34Speaker 1: the repair process. You don't need anybody's permission. You ain't
- 7:38Speaker 1: got to put it before the review board. To see
- 7:41Speaker 1: if it'll pass. It ain't got to go through Congress.
- 7:43Speaker 1: You ain't got to hope that your local politician get
- 7:46Speaker 1: their hands on it to make a phone call for you.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You ain't got to ask any counselors to come in
- 7:51Speaker 1: and sit with you. You don't have to check in
- 7:53Speaker 1: the rehab. All you got to do is decide the
- 7:56Speaker 1: problem is me. I'm gonna start changing me. Identify the problem,
- 8:04Speaker 1: and start with the part that you can own up to.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Once you identify the problem, you can start planning on
- 8:14Speaker 1: how to fix it or how to get to accomplishing something.
- 8:18Speaker 1: But remember this planning. This is important. If you fail
- 8:22Speaker 1: to plan, then please plan to fail. If you don't
- 8:28Speaker 1: know how to make a plan, let's just start with
- 8:30Speaker 1: the basics. Just make a list of what you want.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Make this list and then go to God in prayer
- 8:39Speaker 1: with an open mind and open your mind up to
- 8:44Speaker 1: all the clean opportunities that are available here. Why a
- 8:49Speaker 1: lot of people won't succeed because certain opportunities come along
- 8:52Speaker 1: you don't want to do them. That kills me. Man,
- 8:55Speaker 1: when I hear here, I ain't doing that. I know
- 8:58Speaker 1: young comedians that come to me all the time talking
- 9:00Speaker 1: about man, what you're not saying. Man, just take every
- 9:02Speaker 1: gig you can, no matter what they pay. Well, listen
- 9:06Speaker 1: to me, son, you can go make that money that
- 9:10Speaker 1: they pay, or you can make the decision to sit
- 9:12Speaker 1: at home and make no money. It's a comedy, hard business.
- 9:17Speaker 1: They ain't paying but one hundred dollars. You gotta drive,
- 9:20Speaker 1: drive fifty miles. But if you drive fifty miles and
- 9:23Speaker 1: you make a hundred and you stand on that stage
- 9:25Speaker 1: for thirty minutes, you are now thirty minutes better than
- 9:28Speaker 1: you was the last time you went on stage. Oh, man,
- 9:33Speaker 1: I ain't Man, they don't pay me, I ain't coming.
- 9:35Speaker 1: You ain't going to be a comedian, man, not not,
- 9:38Speaker 1: not like this. Hell, A lot of people just don't
- 9:41Speaker 1: want to do what's necessary to do. So when the
- 9:44Speaker 1: opportunity presents itself and you open up your mind to it, man,
- 9:47Speaker 1: then get ready to go on and do it. Man,
- 9:50Speaker 1: identify your problem today, start with the part dash you

- 23:34Speaker 1: a few I complaints. Her sister, Vernetta Dixon was kicked
- 23:40Speaker 1: out of the church. I don't know if you know
- 23:42Speaker 1: about it past it this past Sunday that shouted out,
- 23:44Speaker 1: if you Satan passing? What should we? I don't know.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I mean, we don't like Satan, So I don't don't
- 24:00Speaker 1: know what what you do with her? But it count
- 24:04Speaker 1: everybody off God. She's a new Christian and has not
- 24:10Speaker 1: quite learned how to express herselves. So we're gonne bad
- 24:14Speaker 1: as because oh I've said that a couple of times
- 24:18Speaker 1: myself not But she's a new Christian. It's all gonna
- 24:24Speaker 1: work out. We all are trying to say that in
- 24:27Speaker 1: a godly way. It was sometimes you just gotta let
- 24:30Speaker 1: him have it. Yeah, Satan gonna keep effing with him.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Eventually she gonna tell Satan to get their phone. No,
- 24:50Speaker 1: we don't condone any language in you. Boy, I do
- 24:53Speaker 1: understand what she My favorite member right there, really have
- 25:01Speaker 1: wished several times myself he would quit effing with me. Dude, right,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I knew you go you're gonna keep effing round. I
- 25:15Speaker 1: didn't know you was gonna go that far. I'm not
- 25:17Speaker 1: that far, No far enough to say it here at
- 25:20Speaker 1: the church. But man, all right, past, here's another issue.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I t I is throwing a Guccia party to reinstate
- 25:29Speaker 1: them back into society. You can now get back to
- 25:33Speaker 1: the GG pastor do you want your eye h Gucci
- 25:37Speaker 1: Rod finished you because we started it sto. My response
- 25:41Speaker 1: to that is what the if is y'all doing enough?
- 25:47Speaker 1: Path you're taking this too far with it. I do
- 25:52Speaker 1: want the Gucci Rod finished. Mind is finished. And I
- 25:56Speaker 1: told you a ward last week before he took the
- 25:59Speaker 1: all or the Gucci or what they called it, the
- 26:03Speaker 1: boycott down. I wore my church because I got two
- 26:07Speaker 1: g's on both my sleeves, and I told you before
- 26:10Speaker 1: I wasn't calling it Gucci. I just my GG still
- 26:13Speaker 1: for good golf. Yeah God, yeah, yeah yeah. I passed.
- 26:21Speaker 1: The wheelchair swimming team I has their first swim meet
- 26:26Speaker 1: that's coming Saturday. They're asking for I prayed as well
- 26:29Speaker 1: as three lifeguards just for desperate man. Yes, well, we
- 26:33Speaker 1: had two lifeguards and when I'm turned over and we
- 26:37Speaker 1: couldn't get him out in time, so we're gonna go
- 26:40Speaker 1: ahead and path, I'm on okay, the third You're going
- 26:43Speaker 1: in a different direction. That's why I'm okay. In the
- 26:48Speaker 1: third life guard we had an actually didn't last year
- 26:52Speaker 1: one of them got turned over. Did nobody knew it?
- 26:56Speaker 1: And so we're gonna have that third one on duty
- 26:58Speaker 1: with an underwater himber. Okay, How you don't like when
- 27:06Speaker 1: I'm taking it jokes, it's beyond me because you brought
- 27:09Speaker 1: it up. I'm the one that's effed up. Why do
- 27:17Speaker 1: you keep using that path? Well, I'm think I think
- 27:21Speaker 1: Sister Abigail was on the so and I find it
- 27:25Speaker 1: refreshing and rather rather relieve it. Ok Even though I'm
- 27:31Speaker 1: not cussing, I think effed up is a great substitution
- 27:35Speaker 1: to not people. I'm trying to cut back anyway, right,
- 27:40Speaker 1: let me we have two great substitutes. Like I don't
- 27:44Speaker 1: like this sugar hounded. So when now we have left up,
- 27:49Speaker 1: I think we get a couple more than I can
- 27:52Speaker 1: complete the cycle. Shut the front door. O okay, all right,
- 27:59Speaker 1: let'son pass one of our members. Who are you? Whoa
- 28:08Speaker 1: shut your mother's front talking to me? On past? Listen,
- 28:17Speaker 1: Sister Jocelyn Cavanaugh, who we know is uh has been
- 28:21Speaker 1: strung out from time to time. She is asking that
- 28:24Speaker 1: the church buy her some wigs because at her job
- 28:27Speaker 1: they do a drug test and they pour the hal uh.
- 28:31Speaker 1: They take the drug tests from the hat. She is safe.
- 28:34Speaker 1: If we have some wigs for her, they way, they
- 28:36Speaker 1: won't be pulling from her hat. They pour from her hair.
- 28:39Speaker 1: They gonna have weed in it, but they pour from
- 28:42Speaker 1: the wig. Then of course he'll get away with it. Pass.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I don't know anything about that, pastor deacon, or we're
- 28:51Speaker 1: gonna have to you know, Chris still, we have wig money,
- 28:56Speaker 1: path that if we got do you have wig money,
- 29:01Speaker 1: she got weed money. Don't buy a sack and get
- 29:09Speaker 1: yourself from hell. You got weed money, You got wig money,
- 29:16Speaker 1: quig and queen, that's what she has, the whigs and weed.
- 29:20Speaker 1: It's what we're trying to get barre, wig and wig
- 29:24Speaker 1: and queed. All right, should we started a few ministry No,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I think we just need to get the phone. All right, listen,
- 29:34Speaker 1: thank you Rebert Motown Digging Death Jam coming out at
- 29:37Speaker 1: the top of the hour, Entertainment news right after you're

- 31:10Speaker 1: the morning, we do entertainment news. First, the weekend box
- 31:13Speaker 1: office report. The Joker laughed all the way to the
- 31:16Speaker 1: bank over the weekend. Yeah you saw Jay. He is crazy.
- 31:20Speaker 1: He is some kind of crazy. Yeah, looks like it is.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I just downloaded John Wick three onto my computer to
- 31:29Speaker 1: watch on the plane. A lot of fighting, A lot this,
- 31:32Speaker 1: a lot of fighting, and I downloaded shaft uh huh
- 31:36Speaker 1: uh huh. And Mud, you got another movie? Ye see it?
- 31:42Speaker 1: Are you in twenty seventeen? Ye? I don't keep moving up,
- 31:51Speaker 1: catching up? All right? Well, anyway, as I was saying,
- 31:57Speaker 1: the Joker was laughing all the way to the bank
- 31:58Speaker 1: over the weekend. As a DC Comics adaptation, scored the
- 32:02Speaker 1: best October opening weekend of all time and the fourth
- 32:05Speaker 1: best opening for an R rated movie. It was also
- 32:08Speaker 1: the number one movie overseas, with it brought in two
- 32:11Speaker 1: hundred and thirty four million dollars globally. While that's putting
- 32:16Speaker 1: them on an oscar performance, Who's a Bird Boy? Yeah?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Would you say, Jay? That's good for DC because Marvel
- 32:24Speaker 1: Comics has been killing them in the movies man and
- 32:27Speaker 1: DC hadn't had anything since Wonder Woman to come out
- 32:29Speaker 1: and really do good in the box of DC comics.
- 32:36Speaker 1: You're in the comic books, Jay, Yeah, a little bit.
- 32:40Speaker 1: I don't. I've been here. I've been DC Curry, DC
- 32:50Speaker 1: got to do It's okay, don't be ashamed. No, I've
- 32:56Speaker 1: been a comic con three times. Yeah, okay. Congratulations Jay,
- 33:05Speaker 1: and trending black girl Magic. There was a lot of
- 33:09Speaker 1: black people more than you would think. Yeah, not outfits, No,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I an outfit kid. Don't wear an outfit on a
- 33:21Speaker 1: regular he goes from superhero negro outfit. All right. Let
- 33:27Speaker 1: me tell you guys quickly about Simone Biles. Though you
- 33:29Speaker 1: know she's a gold medalist, she's an Olympics Olympic gymnast.
- 33:32Speaker 1: She has two amazing tumbling moves named after her. While
- 33:36Speaker 1: competing in the World Championships over in Germany, during Simone's
- 33:40Speaker 1: floor exercise, she landed a triple double on her routine
- 33:44Speaker 1: on the balance beam. Then she landed a double double dismount.
- 33:49Speaker 1: So now the double double dismount is now known as
- 33:51Speaker 1: the Biles and the triple double on the balance beam
- 33:54Speaker 1: is now the Biles too. Congratulations our girls from both
- 33:58Speaker 1: double the balance beam go here girl, Yeah, all right, see.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Let's get to today's headline, Dallas. Let's get to the
- 34:10Speaker 1: headline Steve, Ladies and Gentleman's and trimp. Thank you very much, everybody.
- 34:14Speaker 1: This is entered with the news okay, in the wake
- 34:16Speaker 1: of the Dallas Police Chief's call for an investigation into
- 34:19Speaker 1: the conduct of her officers, as well as that of
- 34:21Speaker 1: the Texas Rangers after the Amber Geiger, a murdered or
- 34:24Speaker 1: upstairs neighbor, the prosecution's most important witness that night, has
- 34:28Speaker 1: been mysteriously shot to death. Joshua Brown lived across the
- 34:31Speaker 1: hall from the Geigers from the guy who's victim, Botham Jean,
- 34:34Speaker 1: and was most likely aware of what members of law
- 34:36Speaker 1: enforcement did and did not do upon arrival at mister
- 34:39Speaker 1: Jean's apartment that night. During the trial, it was testimony
- 34:42Speaker 1: which suggested that the Dallas cops spent most of their
- 34:45Speaker 1: time trying to cover up evidence in a case instead
- 34:47Speaker 1: of help mister Jean. Twenty seven year old Joshua Brown
- 34:50Speaker 1: was a football player for the University of South Florida.
- 34:53Speaker 1: He was an entrepreneur who had several AIRB and B properties.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Brown was shot several times Friday night in a parking
- 34:58Speaker 1: lot outside his building by someone or some people in
- 35:02Speaker 1: a silver car, and he later died in the hospital. Meanwhile,
- 35:05Speaker 1: Democratic candidates for president appealed to feel that something doesn't
- 35:07Speaker 1: smell right. They want answers now. Only now the two
- 35:11Speaker 1: two of the jurists who sentenced amber A Gay Good
- 35:14Speaker 1: only ten years for Botham Jean's murder say they disregarded
- 35:17Speaker 1: the prosecutor's call for at least twenty eight years because
- 35:20Speaker 1: they say they know that Botham Jean wouldn't have wanted that. Meanwhile,
- 35:25Speaker 1: the people who really knew misster Geane his family don't
- 35:27Speaker 1: seem that satisfied. They're standing with local activists and religious
- 35:30Speaker 1: Lydy's still calling on the US Department of Justice to
- 35:33Speaker 1: construct a conduct rather a broad probe into what happened,
- 35:36Speaker 1: and especially around the Dallas PD, because they say they
- 35:39Speaker 1: don't seem capable of investigating themselves. Now, another since fired
- 35:43Speaker 1: white officer, this one in Georgia, has been found not
- 35:46Speaker 1: guilty of fatally shooting an unarmed black man who was
- 35:49Speaker 1: fleeing after a confrontation. Zachariah Pressy only convicted of violating
- 35:53Speaker 1: his oath of office in shooting thirty three year old
- 35:55Speaker 1: Tony Green and he faces a prison faces a prison
- 35:59Speaker 1: term of one to five years. Presy could have faced
- 36:01Speaker 1: as much as twenty years. Police in Kansas City are
- 36:05Speaker 1: looking for the gunman responsible for the devs of four
- 36:07Speaker 1: men shot and killed in a bar early Sunday morning.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Five people injured. Bar Tequila Case is a private club,
- 36:13Speaker 1: so people can only be admitted if their members are
- 36:15Speaker 1: brought in by members. Thomas Thomas Sick of the Kansas
- 36:18Speaker 1: City PD says, everybody ran out after the shooting started,
- 36:21Speaker 1: trying to talk to as many witnesses as we can
- 36:23Speaker 1: from the bar. Obviously being a bar, that one thirty
- 36:27Speaker 1: story has varied a lot, even you know, being inside
- 36:30Speaker 1: the bar. I'd already say all those killed were Hispanic males,
- 36:33Speaker 1: but they don't think they were targeted because of racism
- 36:36Speaker 1: or anything like that. Filmmaker Tyler Perry has dedicated a
- 36:38Speaker 1: sound stage of his sprawling Atlanta studios over the weekend
- 36:41Speaker 1: to Diane Carroll one thirty nine, Pass Marshall. That's right,
- 36:53Speaker 1: she won a and that she was nominated for a
- 36:55Speaker 1: Best Actress oscar for her role. Including Now back to
- 36:58Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening Steven Show? All right, Well,
- 37:19Speaker 1: on Saturday, Guys, Kanye West was in Salt Lake City.
- 37:22Speaker 1: You know, he's all over the place with his church
- 37:25Speaker 1: salt Lake City, this time for a Sunday series, trying
- 37:27Speaker 1: to be moo he mobile while he's trying to reach
- 37:31Speaker 1: as many people as he can, you know, with his
- 37:33Speaker 1: music ministry. This time, though, his service took a political turn.
- 37:37Speaker 1: According to Yahoo dot com, Kanye defended himself for supporting
- 37:42Speaker 1: President Trump, and he talked about the backlash he received.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Kanye also talked to the crowded Salt Lake about the
- 37:49Speaker 1: Republican Party and that it was President Lincoln who freed
- 37:52Speaker 1: the slaves. Take a listen to this. Kanye doesn't understand
- 38:14Speaker 1: a couple of things. There's nothing to do with the
- 38:17Speaker 1: Republican Party freeing slaves. The Republican Party has never taken
- 38:21Speaker 1: credit for That's it's a different thing. I admired Kanye
- 38:25Speaker 1: for taking his church globally and everything, but in this
- 38:29Speaker 1: climate right here, when you're a Trump supporter, you're saying
- 38:34Speaker 1: too much against or people. You're saying too much against
- 38:38Speaker 1: the Latino population about people trying to seek asylum in
- 38:43Speaker 1: this country. You're talking about too much about children being
- 38:47Speaker 1: separated from parents. You talk too much about abortion rights,
- 38:51Speaker 1: which should be a decision totally up to women. I
- 38:54Speaker 1: don't even think men should be even discussing this. We
- 38:57Speaker 1: have no right to talk about a boy rights. I
- 39:00Speaker 1: think that's a decision that should be made strictly by women.
- 39:04Speaker 1: You know, I know people think because you go up there,
- 39:07Speaker 1: I'm not a supporter of Trump by any stretch of imagination.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Anybody ever listened to this radio show would understand that.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I just don't see the purpose of it. If you're
- 39:16Speaker 1: gonna let's just do what you're doing. He's doing really
- 39:19Speaker 1: well with this thing, man. I mean, I really command
- 39:22Speaker 1: Kanye for going out and doing this thing, taking his
- 39:26Speaker 1: church globally. I think it's a wonderful thing. But please
- 39:30Speaker 1: don't try to sell the Republican Party to people who
- 39:33Speaker 1: are thinking people, because it's not a good sale right now.
- 39:38Speaker 1: If you really understood what was going on with this
- 39:41Speaker 1: man and his presidency, they're trampling the Constitution the Republican
- 39:47Speaker 1: Party right now, which they constantly hold up that their
- 39:50Speaker 1: dear forefathers wrote and they always want to use it
- 39:55Speaker 1: when it's convenient for them. But what this man is
- 39:58Speaker 1: doing to the Constitution it's unconstitutional, it's Unamerican, and it's unpatriotic.
- 40:04Speaker 1: And to be using a platform of religion to talk
- 40:08Speaker 1: about the Republicans free to slaves. You've made enough ignorant
- 40:12Speaker 1: statements about slavery. I really think you should stop. Yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 1: all right, coming up at thirty four after the hour,
- 40:18Speaker 1: we'll talk about the legacy and the extraordinary life of
- 40:22Speaker 1: Miss Diane Carroll. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 40:27Speaker 1: Morning Show, So we're just talking about Kanye and what
- 40:47Speaker 1: he said about his supporting of Donald Trump. He says
- 40:50Speaker 1: he's never made a decision based on color. That's a
- 40:53Speaker 1: form of slavery, mental slavery. He said in a sound
- 40:56Speaker 1: bite that we played earlier that the Republican Party, it
- 41:01Speaker 1: was President Lincoln who freed the slaves. And you know,
- 41:05Speaker 1: I mean he Lincoln was a Republican. You know, they
- 41:10Speaker 1: call him an abolitionist, you know, an abolitionist because the
- 41:15Speaker 1: Republican Party was different dead, it's not the same. Republican
- 41:20Speaker 1: Party's a lot different now, a whole lot different. But
- 41:26Speaker 1: you know, I mean, and a lot of blacks back
- 41:27Speaker 1: then we were because of that, we were Republicans. Blacks
- 41:31Speaker 1: were Republicans. It wasn't until later when President Roosevelt came
- 41:35Speaker 1: along and offered everyone. I think it was a chicken
- 41:40Speaker 1: in every pot and the New Deal and all of that,
- 41:42Speaker 1: and then that's when Black switched over to becoming Democrats.
- 41:45Speaker 1: And we've been Democrats for the for the majority, I
- 41:48Speaker 1: guess the majority of us have been Democrats since we
- 41:51Speaker 1: lost you. Yeah, but you know, I just think that
- 41:56Speaker 1: I just think that what Kanye has to do is, look,
- 42:00Speaker 1: he's a really cool dude one on one, he really is,
- 42:03Speaker 1: and I really do like the guy. But when you
- 42:05Speaker 1: make these statements like this that Republicans freed slaves and
- 42:10Speaker 1: that stuff like that in your support of Trump, you
- 42:14Speaker 1: also have to make this statement. This is not an
- 42:17Speaker 1: opinion you can throw out. You're talking about the facts
- 42:20Speaker 1: of history. Back then, Republicans were abolitionists. Today, Republican Party, Yeah,
- 42:31Speaker 1: but they're most certainly not abolitionists. They're not the party
- 42:35Speaker 1: of the people anymore. They're the party of a different
- 42:39Speaker 1: group of people that want and practice and elitism that
- 42:44Speaker 1: separates and expects you to pull yourself up by your bootstraps.
- 42:49Speaker 1: They claim to be the moral compass. The Grand Old
- 42:52Speaker 1: Party is supposed to be the moral compass of the country.
- 42:55Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, but they've slipped because now you have
- 42:58Speaker 1: Southern Evan jelicals who support Donald Trump. Explain to me
- 43:04Speaker 1: how you are a southern right wing religious organization and
- 43:10Speaker 1: you support Donald Trump. It doesn't make any sense because
- 43:14Speaker 1: what he's doing is so non christian like when it
- 43:18Speaker 1: comes to the common man. Kanye has got to watch
- 43:22Speaker 1: this man. And you're supporting Donald Trump for what? Just
- 43:25Speaker 1: tell me what he's doing that you're supporting. Well, he's
- 43:29Speaker 1: working with his wife with prison reform, Kim, you know,
- 43:33Speaker 1: with the president. That's one place that could be a reason.
- 43:38Speaker 1: But the prison reform bill is good. That was bought about.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Kim went up there, Van Jones went up there. You know,
- 43:45Speaker 1: I give Kim kardash and a lot of credit for that.
- 43:48Speaker 1: I think she did a great job. But now at
- 43:55Speaker 1: any other thing. Why the evangelicals up for Trump is
- 43:58Speaker 1: because he's against the boy in the homosexuals. And now
- 44:03Speaker 1: that's one And you're exactly right, Jake, And now here's
- 44:06Speaker 1: the problem I have with all of them. Stop saying that.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Because Republicans get abortions at the same rate as those Democrats,
- 44:16Speaker 1: and that's just as many Republican gay people. Y'all act
- 44:20Speaker 1: like they act like this is some horrific thing, like
- 44:24Speaker 1: that's not them. Come on, man, yeah, but I mean
- 44:29Speaker 1: I know what you're what you're saying, But can we
- 44:31Speaker 1: say this to the please. I do not want to
- 44:34Speaker 1: give the Democrats a complete and total pass because to me,
- 44:39Speaker 1: they take our votes for granted. They take us for granted,
- 44:44Speaker 1: just like Hillary Clinton did in that last election. You
- 44:47Speaker 1: can't just you you just assume because we're black, we're
- 44:50Speaker 1: going to automatically vote. Hey, you got to do the job. Well,
- 44:54Speaker 1: let me say this to you about this time. Oh man,
- 44:57Speaker 1: if these Democratic candidates don't spend money on black radio
- 45:02Speaker 1: like they do white radio and other forms of media,
- 45:05Speaker 1: they will not get this microphone as a platform or
- 45:09Speaker 1: free everything. Because you're absolutely right, and they've taken us
- 45:13Speaker 1: for granted long enough. So if you're not spending money
- 45:16Speaker 1: on the Steve Harvey Morning Show to support it, don't
- 45:19Speaker 1: expect our support because all the millions of dollars you
- 45:21Speaker 1: raise and you're spending them somewhere, but you ain't spending
- 45:24Speaker 1: them here. Oh okay, well yes it is, yes, it
- 45:28Speaker 1: is all right. Guys, coming up, the nephew in the
- 45:31Speaker 1: building with today's prank phone call. Right after this, sure
- 45:34Speaker 1: to do the whistle blow or have a whistle you're
- 45:37Speaker 1: listening show what everybody issue? Boy Jany Brown for the

- 55:08Speaker 1: I'm turn that sweat on. It's loud, all right, nevew
- 55:14Speaker 1: thank you. Here we go. Subject I'm in love with
- 55:16Speaker 1: Harry Mary. Dear Stephen Shirley. I need some serious advice
- 55:20Speaker 1: right now. I'm a thirty year old man and I'm
- 55:23Speaker 1: dating a twenty nine year old woman. She is very sexy,
- 55:26Speaker 1: sweet woman with a great figure. But she has one
- 55:30Speaker 1: flaw that is hard to overlook. She has hairy feet,
- 55:35Speaker 1: a hairy chest, and her back is harry. God. When
- 55:41Speaker 1: we first met, it was in the middle of the winter,
- 55:44Speaker 1: so she wore sweaters, you know. She wore jeans and
- 55:47Speaker 1: boots mostly, and she kept her socks on if we
- 55:50Speaker 1: were chilling at home. In the beginning, we waited a
- 55:53Speaker 1: while to have sex, so I had never seen her undressed.
- 55:57Speaker 1: The hair on her chest and back is as thick
- 56:00Speaker 1: as mine, and it's curly. I can't run my hands
- 56:05Speaker 1: down her back at all, and I can't kiss her
- 56:08Speaker 1: on her chest when we make love. She noticed my
- 56:11Speaker 1: reluctance to cuddle with her and asked me if I
- 56:14Speaker 1: had a problem with her body. I had to act
- 56:17Speaker 1: like all of that hair is no big deal. But
- 56:20Speaker 1: it is, and here's why. Two weeks ago we went
- 56:23Speaker 1: to a pool party. Yeah, back up, so loud, so loud,
- 56:33Speaker 1: all right, listen, two weeks ago, we went to a
- 56:36Speaker 1: pool party and she wore a bikini with her whole
- 56:39Speaker 1: body showing. All of my male friends were taken aback
- 56:44Speaker 1: when they saw her up close, and they started in
- 56:47Speaker 1: with the jokes. They nicknamed her Harry Mary, and when
- 56:51Speaker 1: I got mad, the jokes got worse. On our way home,
- 56:54Speaker 1: she told me that a few of the women pulled
- 56:56Speaker 1: her to the side and suggested lays her hair removal
- 56:59Speaker 1: or whack thing, because a hairy body for a woman
- 57:02Speaker 1: is unacceptable. My girlfriend maintains that body hair is natural
- 57:07Speaker 1: and she does not have to hide her body or
- 57:09Speaker 1: go to extra measures to remove the hair to please others.
- 57:13Speaker 1: She said it runs in her family and I can't
- 57:17Speaker 1: stand it, though, and I want her to get it plucked, shaved,
- 57:21Speaker 1: waxed or something. I guess you can tell that I
- 57:24Speaker 1: like her a lot and I don't want to ruin
- 57:25Speaker 1: a good thing over a hairy situation. Am I being
- 57:28Speaker 1: too shallow? Or should I tell her how I really
- 57:31Speaker 1: feel and risk losing this great woman? Please help? All right?
- 57:37Speaker 1: All right? Uh? No, absolutely not. You're not being shallow.
- 57:41Speaker 1: I don't think you're being shallow at all. She needs
- 57:43Speaker 1: to mow the lawn. She definitely does. You know, why
- 57:48Speaker 1: is it that you are afraid to tell your girlfriend
- 57:52Speaker 1: how you really feel. I mean, you really like this
- 57:55Speaker 1: young woman, you think that there could possibly be a
- 57:58Speaker 1: future in this relationship, and all of that. I agree
- 58:04Speaker 1: with you. This is a very serious situation. She's right.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Hair does grow naturally on the body. So does a
- 58:10Speaker 1: lot of other things. I mean, you know, funk and
- 58:13Speaker 1: dirt and all that will grow on the body if
- 58:15Speaker 1: we don't take showers and stuff. But you gotta do
- 58:19Speaker 1: you know, some kind of maintenance. Men and women have
- 58:21Speaker 1: to do maintenance. Come on, now, you know, just because
- 58:26Speaker 1: hair grows naturally on the body, that doesn't mean it's attractive.
- 58:29Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that your partner wants to feel hair
- 58:32Speaker 1: on your body, you know, when he wants to be
- 58:35Speaker 1: intimate and cuddle with you. You know, you had an
- 58:40Speaker 1: opportunity when she asked you to say something to her.
- 58:44Speaker 1: I think you can say it. I think it's just
- 58:46Speaker 1: the way you say it. You know, listen, when you
- 58:49Speaker 1: asked me earlier how I felt about it, I just
- 58:52Speaker 1: want to tell you that I don't like it. I mean,
- 58:55Speaker 1: you gotta just be straight with her and tell her
- 58:57Speaker 1: just tell her in a nice way, ask her, you know,
- 59:00Speaker 1: to shave some of it and see won't she even
- 59:03Speaker 1: liked her body better, the smoothness of her skin and
- 59:05Speaker 1: all of that. I think, you know, don't miss an
- 59:08Speaker 1: opportunity to tell her how you really feel. I don't
- 59:11Speaker 1: think she's going to go anywhere. It's just in all
- 59:15Speaker 1: the way you say it. Steve Man, Well, good answer, Shirley.
- 59:22Speaker 1: I think you were spot on with your assessment. I
- 59:27Speaker 1: agree with everything you said. Here's problem. I'm thirty, she
- 59:34Speaker 1: twenty nine. She's sexy, sweet, banging body, and she got
- 59:40Speaker 1: a flaw that's hard to overlook. I'm thinking breath, she cuss. No,
- 59:45Speaker 1: it ain't that she has very hairy feet. Wait wait,
- 59:50Speaker 1: that's just thought it was at first, Steve. I'm sorry,
- 59:54Speaker 1: uh huh she cuss. Okay, yeah, you know she got
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: bad grandma. She don't know how to talk well, smoke something.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: But she has harry feet. Let's stop right here. The
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: hell had harry feet. I'm a grown ass mat I
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: got a little hall on each one of my toes,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: but my damn foot ain't heavy. Not Saskatchewan got harry
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: ass feet. My uncle had harry ass feet. I'm just
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: a huge hairy was growing on the foot, uncle, Yeah,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: like on the inn stop yeah, like he would wear sandals.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I thought he had on side. Stupid my father, you
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: called my uncle Roger super shugar Chris because he thought
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: he was the bell on the sickle Pott. Nah. She
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: has very hairy feet, a hairy chest, and her back
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: is Harry Wow. Nah. Hold on right there, right there,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna have part two. We're gonna take a break
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: and have part two of your response to coming up
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: in twenty three minutes after the hour today. Subject I'm
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: in love with Harry Mary. We'll get back into it
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Stow all right, Steve,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject I'm in
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: love with Harry Mary. Wow. This man dating this woman?
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: She twenty nine, He thirty, beautiful chick, banging body. Got
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: a problem. She are got hound her feet, hair on
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: her chest, and hair on her back. So when she
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: takes her shoes off, it just looked like she got
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: on house shoes already. You know, baby, you got your
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: house shoes. M sid. So now I'm tripping because when
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: you first met her, it was in the wintertime, and
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: she had a lot of sweaters and jeans and boots
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: and stuff on, kept her socks on, even if as
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: if we were when we was chilling at the house
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: in the beginning, waited for a while to have sex,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: so I'd never seen her undressed. The hound. Her chest
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: and back is as thick as mine, and it's curly.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I can't run my hands down her back, and I
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: can't kiss her chest when we make love. Now you can't.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Now you can't run your head down her back. Your
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: hair on it. She has hair on it. So you
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: hugging a caddy bell and she got her on her chest.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Now surely has said, you know you could get stuff done.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: You have to mow the lawn. I can't imagine what
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: else has happened. I can't kiss on her chest where
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: we make love. I can't kiss on the chest. And
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: she noticed my reluctant to cuddle with her and ask
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: me if I had a problem with her body. Hell, yeah,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I got a problem. How the hell you ain't got
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: no problem. It's what I have the biggest problem with
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: it is how you sitting up here with all this
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: hell on your feet, your chest on your hands, he
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: didn't stay hand probably on that got her on and
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: everybody got hell knuckle. If you got her on your feet,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: you got knuck on hem slight mustache. You know, let's
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: just cut to the quick on this cut or you
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: know what I mean, let's just say some obvious things
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: we know if you want to groom this relationship. I'm
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: just saying some things you need to see. You know,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: you need to clip the situation. But I'm just saying
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: some things you might can open up the conversation with.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: You know, you know, you know, you know, you know,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: just edge up on the yeah and say you need
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: to cut your damn hal You gotta get some of
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: this stuff out, man, because this ain't going nowhere, because
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: this is getting ugly. Man, this is already passed ugly.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: You don't want to cuddle and so you know, And
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: she asked me if I had a problem with her body.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I had to act like all that hair, it's no
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: big deal, but it is. And here's why. Two weeks ago,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: y'all go to a po party. She wore bikini. Oh lord,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: have with her whole body showing all your male friends
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: was taken aback. They weren't taking her back. They were
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: tripping on her back when they saw her close and
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: they started with your jokes. He nicknamed the Harry Mary.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Then I got mad. The jokes got worse. On our
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: way home, she told me that a few of the
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: women had pulled her to the side and suggested laser
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Harry move because they it tho often throw people off.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: I have to get it all the time. I'm a
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: very hairy woman myself. I have to get laser hairy,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: removing my arms, my legs. Yeah, yeah, because you don't
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: know exactly bland animal sound. Yeah, you gotta do it,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Come on, you do yeah, you have to. So now.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: On the way home, few of the women poured her
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: to the side, suggestion hair lasery, movie or waxing. It's
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: not the norm. And my man, you're not upset and
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: you're not being shallow. It's just not the norm. They
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: ain't in the magazines, no where, They ain't on Vote Dy,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: ain't on the Bill Boss, dain't on none of the Housewives.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: You can't catch a hairy woman know where? Separate horror
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: movie And the last time I saw him was Werewolf
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Girl Wow where woof girls? Only out one time? Because
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: ain't nobody even want to see werewolf girl. So girl,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: she said it runs in her family. Well, don't get
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: in that family. And I can't stand it though I
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: want her to get it. Pluck shaved, wax something. Yeah,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I like her a lot. Am I being too shallow?
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Hell no, you ain't being too shallow? She being too thick. Yeah,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: but he's gotta tell her though, she tell her how
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: I really feel. Yes, you should, and run the risk
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: of losing the great woman. Any You can even lose
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: a great woman if she ain't willing to lose no half,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: she could lose a great man. Everybody got something to
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: lose here. You need to have real conversation with her.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Tell her the truth. Just anybody knows that ain't right,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: even her family. How she got a family all right?

- 1:07:38Speaker 1: after the hour and trending serious national news out of Dallas.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: A key witness in the trial of X Cop X
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Dallas cop Amber Geiger has been killed. Boy was this
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: a shocking story. We'll talk about it right after this
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey morning. All Right, A key witness
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: in the murder trial. What a sad story this is
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: of former Dallas police officer Amber Geiger has been shot
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: and killed only days after her sentencing. Yeah, his name
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: was Joshua Brown. He was a key witness in the trial.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: He lived in the same apartment complex as both of
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: John and Amber Geiger. Joshua Brown testified against Amber Geiger
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: and said he was in the hallway on the fourth
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: floor where he and Botham John lived and said he
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: heard two people that sounded surprised and then two gunshots.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Investigators have said they don't think there is any evidence
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: to suggest that Joshua was killed for this role as
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: a star witness in Amber Geiger's trial. As we all know,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Geiger was sentenced to ten years for killing both of them. John,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I don't know, Well, you have an argument with somebody,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: you don't know, you're not in your apartment. I mean
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: at some point you just realize yeah, yeah, I mean
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: this case, I don't even I guess I wasn't following
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: it just close. I don't So they don't have a theory,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: they don't have this tie to the case. Do they
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: are they don't have a suspect or anything. Well, the
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: investigator saying they don't think they don't think that. Um,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: you know that he was killed, that Joshua Brown was
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: killed because he was a star witness in the case.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: That's what they're saying. But I mean it's just such
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: an unlikely coincide. What's the chances you know, Yeah, I
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: mean he's pulling up to his apartment and he could
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: shot in the mouth. I mean that personal horrible. Yeah,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: several times. It's just you know, two days yeah, exactly, exactly, Yeah,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: but they are investigating it. Um, I you know, man,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: I mean I mean, like you said, Junior, what are
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: the chances, like just a few days after her sentencing?
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: I mean, how can you not think that though? How
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: can that at least not cross your mind? Yeah, that
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: it was in retaliation that you know, uh, they got
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: him because he was a star witness, and you know,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: because they don't like the you know what I mean.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: But it would seem like you if if you want
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: to connect it to the trial. I don't want to
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: sound like I'm just saying it would seem like you
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: would want to get rid of the star witness. Before
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: they testify, right after they testify. I don't I don't
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: know how they I just don't know. This is really bizarre.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: It's it's a very bizarre story. People get killed that
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: close together in the same apartment. Blah blah blah complex
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: you know, it just yeah, it just doesn't understand what's
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: going on. It doesn't add up, it doesn't. All right, well, listen,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: we're gonna move on. Coming up at the top of
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: the hour, j Anthony Brown is here with comedy Roulette.

- 1:20:52Speaker 1: about someone Vials Though. You know she's a gold medalist,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: she's an Olympics Olympic gymnast. She has two amazing tumbling
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: moves named after her. While competing in the World Championships
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: over in Germany, during Simone's floor exercise, she landed a
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: triple double on her routine on the balance beam. Then
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: she landed a double double dismount. So now the double
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: double dismount is now known as the biles, and the
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: triple double on the balance beam is now the biles too.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Congratulations to our girls girl. Yeah, all right, coming up
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: our last break of the day and some closing remarks
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: from Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Steven Show. Here we are the end of the day,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: our last break of the day show day. Yeah, it's
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: been a good show and a good day to day,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: and thanks to everyone who takes the time to listen
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: on your way into work and at work and all
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: of that. We certainly appreciate your business. Um. Wow, have
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: to end it on a sad note, Hunt Steve talk
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: about a true queen legend, Yeah legend really yeah, I
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: mean Diane Carroll was just a real special talent. Many
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: she was assisted that came on television at a time
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: when it wasn't a lot of black women on television
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: with especially with leading roles, and she came on TV
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: and she was just so eloquent. Man, she was always
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: stylish and grateful, graceful, and just to lose her such
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: an amazing talent, man, her hearts and prayers goes out
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: to her family at this time. But Darren Carroll was bad,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: bad girl man, bad bad girl man. She was. She
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: was stella, stella, class and elegance, and grace was Diane
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: County period now said rest in peace and and God
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: bless her family. First African American leading role in prime
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: time that was not a servant. Oh Many's mother. Yeah.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: And Julia, Yeah that she was Corey's mother. Yeah, that's
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: that's I had a crush on her. Man, good lord,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: she was so good. Hey, y'all, what about Claudine is
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: the one that's the one that's classic soundtrack and James R.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: Jones together, and then Dominique devil Row in Dynasty Day.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: She wanted to be in her own word, she wanted
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: to be the first black be on TV. That's what
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: she said. That's what she ordinary career. Yeah, RP. Diane
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: Carroll one of the greats for sure. So you know what, uh,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: let me let me leave you all with these closing remarks.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: And because you know, this whole thing with the death
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: of both of them, John has been in the news
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: and social media has been all over this young man
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: for forgiving her brother's murderer and this Dallas woman who
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: is a police officer. And you know, I have to
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: say I understood where social media was coming from. You know,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: social media is such a playground for the devil. But
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: you know, I you know, you gotta give people. Everybody
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: has to weigh this situation out for how they see
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: it for themselves and them a lot of people. I
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: don't see how he could have I don't. I don't
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: know that I could either, to be honest with y'all,
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: I don't know that I could hug the person who
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: killed my brother. I don't know. But I was talking
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: to somebody about it and I kept hearing the same
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: thing over and over. He's a better man than me.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: He a better man than me. And I started thinking,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: and I said, man, are we all missing a point here?
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: You know, if God works in mysterious ways, could we
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: all be missing a point because this boy who if
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: you're eighteen, I'm sixty two, So don't get offended by
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: me using the turn. Boy, he's just a young, super
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: young man, just seventeen. He's a boy, you know what
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: I mean? If this young man could be such a
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: person to cause so many people to say he's a
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: better man than me, then I had to ask myself
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: at sixty two, if I'm saying he's a better man
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: than me, then I got to start looking at myself
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: because I was kept hearing people say that, well, he
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: a better man than me because I never da da
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: da da da, And I went wild, Could we be
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: missing a point? Because I was looking at the interview
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: over and over and he kept saying that he never
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: told his mother and father what he was gonna say.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: He didn't tell his siblings or anything. And his mother
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: was on CNN saying she didn't know he would have saying,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: but she expected him to say something like that because
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: that's what his brother would have done. And I was
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: amazed at the elegance of this family, and everybody mad
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: because why do black people always have to forgive. I'm
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: not talking about that part of it right there. You
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: have the right to feel how you want to feel
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: about it. And I agree with some of the stuff
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: some people said. But I had to ask myself, Steve,
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: are you missing the point? If this boy is a
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: better man than you, what are you saying about yourself?
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: What could we all be saying? He didn't even tell
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: his parents? And I got the same man This boy
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: did a goliath thing. He faced his brother's murderer and
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: forgave her to day. It probably would have took me
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: a lot longer. I ain't gonna lie. I probably wouldn't
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: have hugged you either. I ain't gonna lie. But this
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: young boy took it upon himself to do it all
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: that day right there, without telling nobody. And I was
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: just thinking about David and Goliath. I said, wow, man,
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: do you know that David when he went to slew
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: the slatter giant? He probably didn't run that. I never
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: heard a story about David and Goliath that he ran
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: it by his mom and daddy. I never heard it
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: nowhere in the Bible say he read it by his
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: mom and daddy, cause they'd have shot it down. I'm
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: pretty sure if he had said that to his mother,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: they might even say something. But he did it on
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: his own, and it said a lot because I started thinking, Man,
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: if he can forgive this woman for killing his brother,
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: what could I forgive a person for? Could you forgive
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: your father for walking out on you, or your mother
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: for making so many mistakes? Could you forgive your sibling
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: for all the times they wronged you? Can you forget
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: that man for treating you wrong? Could you forgive your
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: boss for fining you? Could you forgive the company that
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: I closed and you lost your job? Can you forgive
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: your friend for turning his back on you? Well? I
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: started thinking, and I said, well, I probably should be
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: able to forgive everybody for all the stuff they've done
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: to me, because guess what, ain't none of them shot
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: my brother. He's a better man than me. I started
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: to have to check myself. I don't want us to
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: miss the bigger point of what this young man did,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: because what he did was something really special, And if
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: you want to feel how you want to feel about it,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: I understand, and I agree with where you're coming from sometime,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: but don't miss the big petrol. Maybe we need to
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: be a bigger man. Maybe those are my closing remarks
