- 1:44Speaker 1: them out. Then turn the water the water. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your back now, uh huh, I show will a
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey Man got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. How good is God? Hum? Think about it?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Just take a slight inventory of your own life and
- 2:16Speaker 1: say it to yourself when you get through, how good
- 2:18Speaker 1: is God? Think of all the small things, all this,
- 2:21Speaker 1: because that's him. You breathe in, that's him. You steal him.
- 2:26Speaker 1: That's him. You got another chance. That's him. You ain't
- 2:31Speaker 1: out of here. That's him. You got any measure of health,
- 2:34Speaker 1: that's him. You think it's more to it than it
- 2:37Speaker 1: really is. That it already showed up to be. That's him.
- 2:40Speaker 1: All of that. You got any dreams of aspirations, you
- 2:43Speaker 1: dream of other things, that's him. All that, that's him,
- 2:47Speaker 1: that's him. Him close you got. That's him every time
- 2:51Speaker 1: you eat. That's why they had this thing called you
- 2:53Speaker 1: say your grace. That's him. That's him, man, that's him.
- 2:57Speaker 1: It's amazing when you take a small inventory how you
- 3:00Speaker 1: find out how big God really is in your life. Now,
- 3:03Speaker 1: the more you turn yourself over to him, the bigger
- 3:05Speaker 1: he can be. For you. See, he'll only be as
- 3:08Speaker 1: big as you let him. It's one thing about God. Now,
- 3:11Speaker 1: he's a gentleman. He can make you do anything. You know.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You get too big for him, you know you you
- 3:19Speaker 1: you you lose your humbleness. He can humble you. Now.
- 3:23Speaker 1: God created man with the power of choice. We're the
- 3:29Speaker 1: only creature he created that. He gave us the total
- 3:32Speaker 1: power of choice when we mate, who we mate with.
- 3:35Speaker 1: You know everything, all of it. Man, it's a choice.
- 3:40Speaker 1: What we want to be, how much we want to make,
- 3:42Speaker 1: where we want to live, what climate we want to
- 3:44Speaker 1: live in. We can live in cold climates, hot climates.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You know, we speak different languages. You can go learn
- 3:49Speaker 1: another language. A bear can't do nothing but be a bear.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Is he can't go learn how to be a fox.
- 3:59Speaker 1: He can't go learn how to be an otter. He
- 4:02Speaker 1: just can't an ostrich is an ostrich man. He can't
- 4:05Speaker 1: come out of here and fight like a lion. A
- 4:08Speaker 1: lion is a lion. A lion eat meat. He can't
- 4:11Speaker 1: eat vegetables. I don't care how much meat ain't around.
- 4:14Speaker 1: He'll lay down and pull up out of here and
- 4:16Speaker 1: die because he can't eat grass. He's just a lion man.
- 4:21Speaker 1: You understand this that God gave us. We are the
- 4:24Speaker 1: one creature he created that has total power of choice.
- 4:28Speaker 1: You can make every decision in your life. What kind
- 4:31Speaker 1: of watch you like? That's the one you can buy.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You want to live in Switzerland, go ahead. You don't
- 4:38Speaker 1: like Switzerland, you can move to Miami. You want to
- 4:42Speaker 1: live your life a crime, go ahead. That's you. He
- 4:46Speaker 1: gave you the power of choice. You want to do right?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Come on, So now look at this thing. We are
- 4:54Speaker 1: all the results of a series of decision that we
- 5:01Speaker 1: have made. If we could just identify that the problem
- 5:06Speaker 1: is us, we could began the solution. See that's the problem, y'all,
- 5:13Speaker 1: it's us. It's what we do. I threw my life
- 5:17Speaker 1: down the hill. I can't tell you how many years
- 5:20Speaker 1: based on some decisions that I was making. Now I
- 5:23Speaker 1: can justify my decision with I wasn't happy and I
- 5:25Speaker 1: was doing this and I was in misery, and y'all
- 5:28Speaker 1: on that, yes to you when you get through. You
- 5:30Speaker 1: made the decisions though, and you can look at this
- 5:33Speaker 1: anywhere you want to, y'all. But at the end of
- 5:35Speaker 1: the day, I'm just talking to people that's really really
- 5:37Speaker 1: wanting to improve their position in life. And how do
- 5:41Speaker 1: you do that? You got to have a solution. How
- 5:45Speaker 1: do you come up with a solution? You got to
- 5:48Speaker 1: identify the problem to even began to solve it. But
- 5:54Speaker 1: if the problem ain't ever you, how are you gonna
- 5:58Speaker 1: solve something that ain't you? See? Okay, let me look
- 6:04Speaker 1: at this one. If somebody said, like I got a
- 6:09Speaker 1: child of mine, man, I just do right here. Man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't even want to get into it this morning,
- 6:13Speaker 1: or I'm struggling with this this boy. But man, you
- 6:17Speaker 1: go to people, you're asking why they do so? I
- 6:20Speaker 1: just I just wasn't taking care of business. Why I
- 6:25Speaker 1: just didn't take care of business? Boy, do you understand
- 6:28Speaker 1: that your life is gonna be filled with you got
- 6:30Speaker 1: to take care of business. So when you're gonna start,
- 6:34Speaker 1: you know what I mean, you can't you can't. You
- 6:37Speaker 1: can't go through life blaming everybody. It's got to be you. See,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you can fix you. You can't fix nobody else if
- 6:44Speaker 1: you keep getting married and the marriages don't work. Hello, Hello, Hello,
- 6:49Speaker 1: could it be you? South? Finally had to sit down
- 6:53Speaker 1: and just make that decision. They don't need to be
- 6:55Speaker 1: coming on the radio talking about nobody else and what
- 6:58Speaker 1: they did to me, and y'all just don't know. No, no, no, man,
- 7:01Speaker 1: what about the part you played in it? Because see,
- 7:04Speaker 1: if you got a good marriage, you got a part
- 7:06Speaker 1: to play in that. If you got a bad one,
- 7:08Speaker 1: you got a part to play in that. Even if
- 7:12Speaker 1: you just get down to you the want pick them?
- 7:14Speaker 1: How about that? Mister, mister, I made a decision. The
- 7:18Speaker 1: problem is usually within yourself. Do you know That's the quickest,
- 7:22Speaker 1: an easy way to fix your life. That way, you
- 7:25Speaker 1: ain't got to check with nobody. Here's the beauty of
- 7:27Speaker 1: going on and admitting that is you. You don't have
- 7:31Speaker 1: to check or clear it with nobody to start the
- 7:35Speaker 1: repair process. You don't need anybody's permission. You ain't got
- 7:39Speaker 1: to put it before the review board to see if
- 7:41Speaker 1: it'll pass. It ain't got to go through Congress. You
- 7:44Speaker 1: ain't got to hope that your local politician get their
- 7:47Speaker 1: hands on it to make a phone call for you.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You ain't got to ask any counselors to come in
- 7:51Speaker 1: and sit with you. You don't have to check it
- 7:53Speaker 1: in the rehab. All you got to do is decide
- 7:56Speaker 1: the problem is me. I'm gonna start change me. Identify
- 8:03Speaker 1: the problem, and start with the part that you can
- 8:08Speaker 1: own up to. Once you identify the problem, you can
- 8:14Speaker 1: start planning on how to fix it or how to
- 8:16Speaker 1: get to accomplishing something. But remember this planning is important.
- 8:21Speaker 1: If you fail to plan, then please plan to fail.
- 8:27Speaker 1: If you don't know how to make a plan, let's
- 8:30Speaker 1: just start with the basics. Just make a list of
- 8:33Speaker 1: what you want. Make this list and then go to
- 8:38Speaker 1: God in prayer with an open mind and open your
- 8:43Speaker 1: mind up to all the clean opportunities that are available here.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Why a lot of people won't succeed because certain opportunities
- 8:52Speaker 1: come along you don't want to do them. That kills me. Man,
- 8:55Speaker 1: when I hear here, I ain't doing that. I know
- 8:58Speaker 1: young comedians that come to me all time talking about Man,
- 9:01Speaker 1: what you're not saying. Man, just take every gig you
- 9:03Speaker 1: can no matter what they pay. Well, listen to me, son,
- 9:09Speaker 1: you can go make that money that they pay, or
- 9:11Speaker 1: you can make the decision to sit at home and
- 9:13Speaker 1: make nobody. It's a comedy, a hard business. They ain't
- 9:18Speaker 1: paying but one hundred dollars. You gotta drive, drive fifty miles.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But if you drive fifty miles and you make the
- 9:24Speaker 1: hundred and you stand on that stage for thirty minutes,
- 9:27Speaker 1: you are now thirty minutes better than you was the
- 9:29Speaker 1: last time you went on stage. Oh, man, you ain't man,
- 9:34Speaker 1: they don't pay me. I ain't coming. You ain't going
- 9:36Speaker 1: to be a comedian, man, not not, not like this hill.
- 9:40Speaker 1: A lot of people just don't want to do what's
- 9:42Speaker 1: necessary to do. So when the opportunity presents itself and
- 9:46Speaker 1: you open up your mind to it, man, then get
- 9:48Speaker 1: ready to go on and do it. Man, identify your
- 9:52Speaker 1: problem today, start with the part dash you're listening. Morning,

- 13:50Speaker 1: Tommy's birthday and for his birthday, Team Tommy Jay Anthony
- 13:55Speaker 1: Brown was here and he told this joke. Junior, take
- 13:57Speaker 1: it away. We weren't going to mention it, but somehow
- 14:01Speaker 1: convenient Junior brought it up. And for some kind of reason,
- 14:05Speaker 1: Uncle Steve is brilliant. So that's all I got right now,
- 14:08Speaker 1: And we love you. Don't forget that part. We love.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I don't want to hear about this love because I
- 14:12Speaker 1: don't think that's gonna win. Love got to do with it? WHOA,
- 14:18Speaker 1: what's love got to do? Got you gonna do the joke,
- 14:24Speaker 1: but he says, on the first part of it, I'm
- 14:26Speaker 1: just gonna set it up, and I'm gonna set it up,
- 14:29Speaker 1: start over, start over. Okay, So Jay say, um, you
- 14:33Speaker 1: know I want to do the joke, but y'all gonna

- 14:52Speaker 1: is nephew Tommy celebrating week shot cake? Is this the
- 15:00Speaker 1: brilliant partner? But the brilliant Yeah, he was rapid fire.
- 15:07Speaker 1: He was quicker than that. Yeah, he didn't even get it.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I got it. He got it right away and that
- 15:16Speaker 1: through the morning crew into his stereo. This day got
- 15:24Speaker 1: concerned Tommy because we were saying, we're gonna tell it.
- 15:32Speaker 1: My partner didn't cry, he didn't throw one on me.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I don't know how he thought I'd get it just
- 15:39Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, I didn't waste No, But how was
- 15:47Speaker 1: your birthday, Tommy? What happened? What you do? It was good?
- 15:50Speaker 1: It was good. My family. They decided, My wife and
- 15:53Speaker 1: my kids decided they wanted to go run with me
- 15:57Speaker 1: every day yesterday morning because I you know, I run everyone,
- 15:59Speaker 1: so they decided gonna run with me. I said, all right, cool,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I said, it's a three mile loop, so let's you know,
- 16:04Speaker 1: I'm thinking to myself, they're not gonna run a whole
- 16:06Speaker 1: three miles. We may we might get a mile and
- 16:08Speaker 1: a half about it. We start running from the starting
- 16:13Speaker 1: pointing a quarter of a mile. We didn't stop, na,
- 16:18Speaker 1: We're just walking and I'm like, are you serious right now?
- 16:22Speaker 1: Not jacketime? I got to pee and I'm like, you serious.
- 16:26Speaker 1: We're at the park, all right. Then we run a
- 16:30Speaker 1: little mold, I said, with some bathrooms further down there.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I'm not sure if they open because of COVID nineteen,
- 16:35Speaker 1: I said, but you know, we'll see how far it
- 16:37Speaker 1: is that. I said, I don't know, but where we're
- 16:39Speaker 1: at right now, it ain't nothing we could do. So
- 16:42Speaker 1: then we get a little further. Jordan like, I need
- 16:44Speaker 1: some water. I was like, we just started. I know,
- 16:48Speaker 1: but it's hot, da I need some water. We didn't
- 16:52Speaker 1: got another half a mile down here comes sitting. I
- 16:55Speaker 1: got a stone in my ship and I blessed. I
- 16:57Speaker 1: thank you. I don't like ain't no way. Hell we're
- 17:00Speaker 1: finding get around three miles. There's no way to hospital.
- 17:05Speaker 1: So then about a mile into it, then Jordan, I
- 17:08Speaker 1: got the pe na. I say, now you I can
- 17:10Speaker 1: get you, I can take you to be come on,
- 17:13Speaker 1: Oh I got him straight, Jackie, come back. Well everybody
- 17:16Speaker 1: can't do that, but about me. We're gonna have to
- 17:18Speaker 1: finish the run. Babe this we get two miles in,
- 17:22Speaker 1: she said, it didn't went away. I'm good, Nah, I'm good.
- 17:26Speaker 1: We get almost back to the three mile point. I
- 17:29Speaker 1: got the p again. I can't hold it no more.
- 17:32Speaker 1: This is y'all last time at the park with that.
- 17:36Speaker 1: But they wanted to have a family day to celebrate
- 17:38Speaker 1: with you, right. They wanted to do a birthday running
- 17:41Speaker 1: the park with daddy. That turned into a walk came.
- 17:43Speaker 1: How much longer did it take for your time to
- 17:46Speaker 1: do your Steve? When they got to I put them
- 17:49Speaker 1: in the car and we came in two different cars.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I put them in the car and finally I ran
- 17:53Speaker 1: my three miles. I went back around. So you did six? Actually, yes?
- 18:00Speaker 1: You was sick of him? Oh my god? Got home
- 18:04Speaker 1: late in the even I think I had him shy,
- 18:11Speaker 1: ain't no damn feel But then but then look, look, Steve,
- 18:15Speaker 1: Jordan runs out of water sitting. They don't want to
- 18:17Speaker 1: share her water with Jordan. You drunk too fat, You drunk,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you got too fat. I'm like, what if it's survival,
- 18:25Speaker 1: it's your brother. You gotta give him someone. He gonna
- 18:27Speaker 1: be all right when we get back to where we're
- 18:29Speaker 1: gonna he gonna be the family. Run with the Miles,
- 18:39Speaker 1: oh Man, keep it up with the Miles. Yeah, Miles
- 18:43Speaker 1: with Miles, Miles with the Miles. I like that, Carl Miles, Miles.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Call it last night last night. I went up about
- 18:50Speaker 1: six o'clock last night. I passed through the kitchen, give
- 18:53Speaker 1: me some water, and here and there, Hey, daddy, how
- 18:57Speaker 1: do you boil an egg? I think I might have
- 18:59Speaker 1: made a little a mistake. I say, what are you
- 19:01Speaker 1: doing on the stove? You're supposed to be on stove? No, no, no,
- 19:03Speaker 1: no no. I put it in the microwave. I said, what,
- 19:07Speaker 1: I say, how many minutes? You want a half? I said,
- 19:09Speaker 1: I don't even want to see it. I say, but
- 19:11Speaker 1: your mama gonna kill you. You better clean it up.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say nothing. Yeah, I thought you could cooking.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Never mind, you gotta put it. You may have to
- 19:19Speaker 1: put it on. Hey, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, how old is Jordan? Eight?
- 19:27Speaker 1: Here we go, Sherley got the cooking skills of an
- 19:29Speaker 1: eight year old. I thought you could put an egg
- 19:32Speaker 1: getting there for two and a half okay, that on
- 19:36Speaker 1: TV before. Of course I've never tried that morning and
- 19:43Speaker 1: put one into microwave two and a half minutes. No,
- 19:47Speaker 1: that's okay. And see what happened? But a wrong egg
- 19:51Speaker 1: out the frigerator? Was it a mess in there? Tommy,
- 19:57Speaker 1: Jordan's my hero. Man, It was so much of a message.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Then I seen him go into the counter to get
- 20:01Speaker 1: something cleaning within. I seen him coming out of old winds.
- 20:03Speaker 1: I said, man, I'm going on there too. Your mama
- 20:11Speaker 1: gonna kill you. So happy birthday, Tommy. He sounds like
- 20:15Speaker 1: you last Yeah, yeah, me and you know, me and
- 20:18Speaker 1: my short cake we had a black You wait to
- 20:20Speaker 1: get to j Anthon Brown. You wait, But Steve, I'm
- 20:23Speaker 1: telling you, Tommy was so quick. It was. He didn't
- 20:28Speaker 1: give him a chance. He didn't even give him a
- 20:29Speaker 1: chance to finish it before he had it out of
- 20:31Speaker 1: his mouth. Look kind of cake if he said, Junior,

- 21:45Speaker 1: go cat dog. That ain't my brother's baby. Don't worry
- 21:49Speaker 1: about it. Something I need to take care. I talked
- 21:51Speaker 1: to man, I speak to Terry. My name is Darryl
- 21:55Speaker 1: Damon is my brother. I don't live in Dallas where
- 21:57Speaker 1: y'all live. That I'm the one that live out of town.
- 22:00Speaker 1: But we didn't have a family meeting and talked about it.
- 22:02Speaker 1: And uh, I know Travis is your son. He eight
- 22:06Speaker 1: years old. But the problem is the reason why I'm
- 22:09Speaker 1: calling you, Terry is called. We didn't found out that
- 22:14Speaker 1: Travis ain't none of damons child. Excuse me, Travis ain't
- 22:18Speaker 1: none of damon child. He'd been paying you child support
- 22:20Speaker 1: here for the last eight hold on and you said
- 22:23Speaker 1: your name was who I'm dare, I'm damon brother, and
- 22:26Speaker 1: who gave you this information? We all have found the
- 22:29Speaker 1: information out. We actually gonna go down there to the
- 22:31Speaker 1: courthouse and get all this stuff rectified. But we didn't
- 22:33Speaker 1: found out that Travis ain't ain't none of Damon's child.
- 22:38Speaker 1: And he's been sitting up here sending you money seven
- 22:40Speaker 1: to eight hundred dollars a month and this child ain't
- 22:42Speaker 1: even here. Now. I hate for Travis to find this out,
- 22:45Speaker 1: and he gonna have to find it out, but he
- 22:48Speaker 1: ain't find Why are you calling me? Look, the family
- 22:51Speaker 1: didn't had a meeting, and I'm the one that they
- 22:53Speaker 1: decided to make the phone call and tell you what's
- 22:55Speaker 1: going on now, don't you you You don't have a
- 22:58Speaker 1: damn thing to do with this. You You ain't nobody
- 23:01Speaker 1: daddy over here, So I'm not sure what you're calling for.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Who God made you keen or wanted you to be
- 23:06Speaker 1: head in charge? To call but that it's not gonna
- 23:09Speaker 1: work out. But let me why why are you doing
- 23:11Speaker 1: this to my brother? That's what I'm saying. For eight years,
- 23:14Speaker 1: the man been sitting you seven hundred seven dollars a
- 23:16Speaker 1: month and and this ain't even his child. You know,
- 23:22Speaker 1: why why am I even talking to you? I'm not
- 23:23Speaker 1: really sure. Your brother need to call me if he
- 23:25Speaker 1: has any problems of questions. You have a good day. Hello,
- 23:32Speaker 1: you don't hang no damn phone up on me. Damon
- 23:34Speaker 1: told me you in the last was hard headed anyway,
- 23:36Speaker 1: Now look, you know why you got the wrong one. Baby,
- 23:40Speaker 1: Like I'm trying to not lose all my religion to day,
- 23:43Speaker 1: but you're about to make me lose it on your
- 23:45Speaker 1: You don't know who you over here? So, like I
- 23:48Speaker 1: said before, my son, your nephew that you're trying not
- 23:52Speaker 1: to claim over there. I don't know why you came
- 23:54Speaker 1: from wherever the here. You said you came from the
- 23:56Speaker 1: dollars to try to I came from California down here
- 23:59Speaker 1: to dollars, and I'm telling you need to take your
- 24:01Speaker 1: back back to California because down here if you don't
- 24:04Speaker 1: know me like that, No, I don't know you, but
- 24:05Speaker 1: I'm fend to know you. And Travis been to know
- 24:08Speaker 1: that my brother ain't his daddy. No, I don't know
- 24:11Speaker 1: you know. You need to talk to your brother again.
- 24:13Speaker 1: That's what you need to do. And you don't need
- 24:14Speaker 1: to be talking to me. You've been to send us
- 24:16Speaker 1: all the money and my brother didn't sent y'all. I
- 24:22Speaker 1: and when I do, Look when I said, when I
- 24:24Speaker 1: sent all that eight years worth of money back, you're
- 24:26Speaker 1: gonna send every dime back because it belonged to my
- 24:28Speaker 1: brother that ain't my brother. Child. Now, we ain't got
- 24:31Speaker 1: time to be going on on Maury Pover showing nothing
- 24:34Speaker 1: to find out who you know what? Like I said,
- 24:36Speaker 1: you picked the wrong one. It'd be your best friend
- 24:39Speaker 1: not to call me anymore. You actually it is a
- 24:41Speaker 1: good thing that you call because if you can't knocking
- 24:43Speaker 1: on my bell, you to got y'all with today. No,
- 24:45Speaker 1: you go that's my second thing I've been to do.
- 24:48Speaker 1: If we can't rectified over the fall, I don't have
- 24:50Speaker 1: a problem coming over there knocking down some dos and
- 24:52Speaker 1: getting some questions answered, because damn it, this ain't Damon's baby.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Obviously you must wish it was yours since you're taking
- 24:59Speaker 1: so much entry it ain't mine. But but it ain't
- 25:02Speaker 1: Dame Wins either, and we got tos had any and
- 25:05Speaker 1: looking for from. But I'm sorry this was taken over
- 25:08Speaker 1: here and Damon where we continue to pay what he owes? Damon,
- 25:11Speaker 1: don't open, that's us wrong with your brother's mad I
- 25:14Speaker 1: want to pay. I'm sorry. He's gonna continue to play,
- 25:17Speaker 1: and you can call wherever you want to come, do
- 25:18Speaker 1: whatever you want to do. So go back and tell
- 25:20Speaker 1: your mama and everybody else who's waiting for this meeting
- 25:23Speaker 1: to let them know it ain't having me. Look, my
- 25:26Speaker 1: mama ain't got nothing to do with it. Mama been
- 25:28Speaker 1: what's your mama? You say your mama law, y'all got
- 25:30Speaker 1: to get us. She's the same way that I'll see
- 25:32Speaker 1: where you get it from. Youre just like her. Mamam
- 25:35Speaker 1: knows that y'all from nosing people. My y'all damn business.
- 25:38Speaker 1: That's a grod man. That ain't. My mama said it
- 25:41Speaker 1: from the get go, that it wasn't Hunt, that it
- 25:43Speaker 1: wasn't damon Hi. No, I mean your mama's the two
- 25:45Speaker 1: faced lock because you ain't what your mama said. You
- 25:47Speaker 1: ain't been to sit here and bring my mama up
- 25:50Speaker 1: in this well. If you know so much, then you
- 25:52Speaker 1: back come back on my bell. I'm not on my
- 25:53Speaker 1: bell if you want to. We hadn't done the man
- 25:55Speaker 1: seven hundred and fifty dollars times twelve times, ain't is
- 26:00Speaker 1: seventy two thousand dollars. That's how much money and my
- 26:04Speaker 1: brother didn't sent you, and that's how much we want back.
- 26:07Speaker 1: And I need you to get to working on this money. Nah, okay,
- 26:11Speaker 1: why don't you come over here and get it? Don't

- 26:21Speaker 1: You ain't Canniforn you so I don't even know what
- 26:24Speaker 1: they here. I don't. I don't even know why. I'm
- 26:25Speaker 1: way for my time talking to you. Like I said,
- 26:28Speaker 1: your brother is a week if he got to call you,
- 26:31Speaker 1: y'all had m meeting and you got to be the
- 26:33Speaker 1: one to call. I'm not really understanding. Look, I got
- 26:35Speaker 1: one more thing I need to say to you. As
- 26:37Speaker 1: you listening to me, you know you do know my day.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'm nerves. That's what you're doing. You respect me? Are
- 26:42Speaker 1: you listening to me? What this is? Nephew timing from
- 26:46Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pank. Oh,
- 26:53Speaker 1: you just got pranked by your sister telling your baby.
- 27:00Speaker 1: She said, talk to her about her baby, daddy and

- 31:37Speaker 1: I have you by yourself or to the TV people,
- 31:43Speaker 1: what you're at work right now? What you're saying you
- 31:45Speaker 1: don't go to work at work right now? I mean
- 31:47Speaker 1: you know that just came in here. It's just oh me,
- 31:53Speaker 1: Steve gonna go to work, y'all gonna go in hire.
- 31:58Speaker 1: That's how I going in him and I try to
- 32:01Speaker 1: put on the button down shirt to day instead of
- 32:03Speaker 1: a sweatshirt or T shirt like I've been wearing every day,
- 32:07Speaker 1: I try to put on a button down shirt. I
- 32:08Speaker 1: ain't put on a button down shirt on so long.
- 32:10Speaker 1: I forgot to have buttons on it. Now where are
- 32:13Speaker 1: you exactly? Are you in your office? Okay? Yeah? My
- 32:18Speaker 1: favorite chair chim Yeah it looks really really big? What
- 32:24Speaker 1: that coll stay red with Ostrich all in bumps on it?
- 32:28Speaker 1: What all that coll? Why do you have to ask
- 32:31Speaker 1: him that your red Ostrich chair winning back? What that
- 32:36Speaker 1: co STA's not saying? Everybody else got roller chaill? And
- 32:41Speaker 1: they office here, you're in your office from the office deeper. Yeah,
- 32:46Speaker 1: you know we got a chill. We put together your studio.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I'm in my studio in my house. So now he
- 32:55Speaker 1: don't have an office, He have a whole. He has
- 32:57Speaker 1: a entire studio designated just that one. Damn Mike. All right,
- 33:03Speaker 1: See that's what happened when you have the chateau. He
- 33:06Speaker 1: don't have a house. All his invitations say come out
- 33:09Speaker 1: to the schateau. Schateau. Yeah, and it's the way they
- 33:12Speaker 1: say it too, the chateau. I remember you just go
- 33:15Speaker 1: out to the crib and seeing all right, all right, Steve,
- 33:22Speaker 1: it's it's done. We gotta go to ladies and gentlemen.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Miss Anne Trip, thank you, thank you very much, in
- 33:27Speaker 1: good morning. Okay. After months of appearing to feel that
- 33:30Speaker 1: the coronavirus was not that serious by wearing not wearing
- 33:34Speaker 1: a mask at press conferences, stuff like that, according to some,
- 33:36Speaker 1: at least indirectly supporting those MAGA followers who still insist
- 33:41Speaker 1: that COVID nineteen is either not as bad as reported
- 33:44Speaker 1: or might not even exist. Well, President Trump yesterday miniature
- 33:47Speaker 1: reporters that he's been taking the drug hydroxy chloroquinn and
- 33:51Speaker 1: zinc to protect himself from the virus. The frontline workers, many,
- 33:55Speaker 1: many are taking it. I happen to be taking it.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I happen to be taking it. I dropped right now. Yeah,
- 34:02Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago, we started taking it. Trump
- 34:04Speaker 1: has been promoting that anti malarial drug as a potential
- 34:07Speaker 1: weapon against COVID nineteen, although scientists say that its effectiveness
- 34:11Speaker 1: has not really been proven and that in fact, there
- 34:14Speaker 1: can be serious side effects to taking in even death.
- 34:17Speaker 1: But to that, Trump says, quote, I've been taking it
- 34:20Speaker 1: for about a week and a half and I'm still here. Meanwhile,
- 34:23Speaker 1: the prestigious medical journal Lancet is urging American voters in
- 34:27Speaker 1: an editorial not to reelect Donald Trump. In the fall,
- 34:31Speaker 1: the well respected medical magazines published a scathing editorial pleading
- 34:35Speaker 1: with the nation's voters to choose a president who will
- 34:38Speaker 1: quote understand that the public health should not be guided
- 34:41Speaker 1: by partisan politics. And the Lancet also slams Trump for
- 34:45Speaker 1: his quote inconsistent and incoherent response to the coronavirus pandemic,
- 34:51Speaker 1: adding that the Trump administration's obsessed with magic bullets, vaccines,
- 34:55Speaker 1: new medicines, or the hope that the virus will simply disappear.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Moore's coming out about the white men who chased and
- 35:02Speaker 1: murdered an innocent young black jogger in Brunswick, Georgia, February
- 35:06Speaker 1: defendant George Michael, he was the father, you know, as
- 35:09Speaker 1: a father and son that he was the father anyway.
- 35:11Speaker 1: McMichael was a former local cop, and he was an
- 35:14Speaker 1: investigator who was apparently stripped of his ability to arrest
- 35:17Speaker 1: anybody for failing to complete the required use of force
- 35:20Speaker 1: firearms training. And McMichael's suspension for failure to maintain training
- 35:25Speaker 1: was his second while working in the local prosecutor's office.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Finally they had to let him go. McMichael's son Travis,
- 35:31Speaker 1: admitted to shooting by the way almad Aubury farmer. Illinois
- 35:34Speaker 1: Governor Rod Blugoyevich has been disbarred. Lgoyevich released from prison
- 35:39Speaker 1: just three months ago. He was serving time for conviction
- 35:42Speaker 1: for a corruption He was released from jail February eighteenth,
- 35:46Speaker 1: after serving just under eight years of a fourteen year
- 35:49Speaker 1: prison term because President Trump commuted his sentence. Sadly, Bob Watson,
- 35:53Speaker 1: only the second black manager in Major League history, has died.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Bob Watson and All Star as a player with the
- 35:58Speaker 1: Houston Astros, spent a couple of seasons with the Yankees.
- 36:01Speaker 1: After playing days were over, he became Astro's manager, then
- 36:04Speaker 1: a couple of years after that Yankee manager, Bob Watson.
- 36:07Speaker 1: As Yankee manager helped put together the winning World Series
- 36:09Speaker 1: team of nineteen ninety six, which was the Bronx Bomber's
- 36:12Speaker 1: first title since seventy seventy four. Now back to the
- 36:18Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 36:22Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well, Steve as the country starts to reopen.
- 36:26Speaker 1: We know that by now most Americans are restless and
- 36:29Speaker 1: the little board and they are ready to get out
- 36:31Speaker 1: of the house. But at the same time they have
- 36:33Speaker 1: been dealing with anxiety, unemployment numbers, and isolation, all while
- 36:39Speaker 1: keeping their eyes toward the second wave of COVID nineteen
- 36:42Speaker 1: because they say that's coming, that could happen in late
- 36:44Speaker 1: summer or early fall. So as we approach Memorial Day,
- 36:48Speaker 1: that's this weekend, what advice you know, do you want
- 36:53Speaker 1: to tell our listeners about getting out and about I mean,
- 36:56Speaker 1: you know, look, I got it, Listen, I'm not I'm
- 37:00Speaker 1: not naive. It's a bit more challenging for some people
- 37:05Speaker 1: than it is for others. I got that. You know,
- 37:08Speaker 1: some places are smaller, a lot more restrictions, might not
- 37:13Speaker 1: have an outdoor access a yard. And sometimes you're in
- 37:16Speaker 1: the studio apartment efficiency condo and you just can't and
- 37:21Speaker 1: you're in the building, apartment building. You're scared to walk
- 37:24Speaker 1: in the hallway. It's scared to get on the elevator.
- 37:26Speaker 1: You know, you don't know. Listen. So I got the
- 37:30Speaker 1: clamor and the yearning to get back to normal. But
- 37:34Speaker 1: life as we know it will not be back to
- 37:37Speaker 1: normal for quite some time. And two, there is a
- 37:40Speaker 1: cure at a vaccine. There is no way for this
- 37:45Speaker 1: to get back to normal in this country. We have
- 37:48Speaker 1: the highest amount of cases of anyone in the world,
- 37:52Speaker 1: and we have the highest amount of depths of anyone
- 37:56Speaker 1: in the world. America leads the way in that. Now,
- 38:00Speaker 1: until they get a vaccine or a cure, you have
- 38:05Speaker 1: to do the social distancing. You have to wash your hands.
- 38:10Speaker 1: But you cannot over expose yourself to people because you
- 38:14Speaker 1: have no way of knowing. We have not completed enough
- 38:18Speaker 1: tests in this country to have anything under control. No
- 38:23Speaker 1: one has claimed this is under control. It's flattened, but
- 38:28Speaker 1: it flattened because we went inside and practice social distancing
- 38:33Speaker 1: and quarantined ourselves. We are now releasing the people back
- 38:37Speaker 1: out into public, which is going to increase the exposure
- 38:40Speaker 1: because we still don't know who all got it and
- 38:43Speaker 1: who don't have. But so we've got to be smart here, man.
- 38:49Speaker 1: You just have to. Yeah, I mean, I hope people
- 38:53Speaker 1: are listening to that, because you know, you do see
- 38:56Speaker 1: a lot of people without masks without that are not
- 39:00Speaker 1: social distancing outside. I mean, you still see that even
- 39:03Speaker 1: with supermarket is full in Yeah what you see on TV. Yeah,
- 39:08Speaker 1: I mean they're still doing it. No masks, no social distancing.
- 39:11Speaker 1: So I don't know, you have to wear mask, man,
- 39:16Speaker 1: if you're out in public. Now, if you're going for
- 39:19Speaker 1: a walk down the street, I got it. But chain
- 39:22Speaker 1: breass ain't breathing on me? All right? All yeah? Coming
- 39:28Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour and trending
- 39:30Speaker 1: sports news, Michael Jordan's Last Dance documentary documentary. We'll talk
- 39:35Speaker 1: about what stood out. We're going to talk about that
- 39:37Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show. Okay, So Michael
- 39:43Speaker 1: Jordan's Last Dance Documentary. Um, guys, what stood out to
- 39:48Speaker 1: you most while watching the Last Dance? It's a ten
- 39:51Speaker 1: part documentary. There's so much talking about it. Uh, some
- 39:55Speaker 1: people you know now Michael, they're more endeared to him.
- 39:59Speaker 1: So people say it was a bully all of that.
- 40:02Speaker 1: What do you guys think that people that says he
- 40:04Speaker 1: was a bully? It's just punks, just a little punk.
- 40:07Speaker 1: As you know what I'm saying. The dude required winning
- 40:14Speaker 1: cost and if you wanted to win, and he knew
- 40:18Speaker 1: what it costs, you had to pay what I came
- 40:21Speaker 1: to really respect about him was Michael Jordan honored his calling.
- 40:28Speaker 1: His calling was to be the greatest basketball player of
- 40:34Speaker 1: all time. That was his calling. He wasn't an activist
- 40:41Speaker 1: and I used to I used to say, man, I
- 40:43Speaker 1: wish Jordan would speak, But you know what, man, that
- 40:45Speaker 1: wasn't what he was here for. He globalized basketball. He
- 40:51Speaker 1: put basketball on the map globally with the Dream Team.
- 40:55Speaker 1: He single handedly raised the salaries of players to what
- 41:00Speaker 1: are today. He is the greatest aerial exhibitionists to lace
- 41:09Speaker 1: up sneakers and it created this whole era of players now.
- 41:13Speaker 1: And he won six titles in a in an era
- 41:16Speaker 1: when basketball was for men and I'm not saying they're
- 41:20Speaker 1: not men now, but it was a rough, rough game.
- 41:24Speaker 1: And this dude right here exhaled that. That was my
- 41:27Speaker 1: greatest takeaway for him, that Michael did not owe us
- 41:30Speaker 1: to become a person as he didn't owe that to us.
- 41:36Speaker 1: He sacrificed his life to give to the game of basketball,
- 41:44Speaker 1: which changed the NBA. And I had to go, wow,
- 41:49Speaker 1: that that's an incredible thing to be on a person. Yes,
- 41:54Speaker 1: and we don't know you know you're talking about I
- 41:57Speaker 1: think when you said, um, they were mad at him
- 42:00Speaker 1: because I watched it too. Never mad at him because
- 42:02Speaker 1: he didn't support Carolina Senate candidate against Jesse. Yeah, I
- 42:10Speaker 1: think his name was hard again anyway, But he didn't
- 42:12Speaker 1: come out and speak publicly for him and endorse him.
- 42:16Speaker 1: But he did contribute money to his campaign. And we
- 42:19Speaker 1: don't we don't know what Michael Jordan did with his
- 42:21Speaker 1: money behind the scenes, who he contributed to, or what
- 42:24Speaker 1: causes or anything, because like, well, I'll tell you he
- 42:28Speaker 1: gave a lot of money. His foundation has helped a
- 42:31Speaker 1: lot of people. Yeah, he really does. He just don't
- 42:35Speaker 1: tout it. He got rid of his foundation at one
- 42:38Speaker 1: point said why am I paying people to give my
- 42:41Speaker 1: money away? And so him and Wannita just started giving
- 42:44Speaker 1: the money away, you know. And so I came away
- 42:48Speaker 1: with a whole new level of respect. But fellas what
- 42:50Speaker 1: y'all take away from I'm not mad at Michael Jordan.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I think Michael Jorge a perfectionists. I think he did
- 42:56Speaker 1: what it took to be perfect in the game. He
- 42:58Speaker 1: was perfect at it, and he took a lot he
- 43:01Speaker 1: put he put all the energy in it took to
- 43:02Speaker 1: be perfect, and that's just how he displayed himself. I
- 43:07Speaker 1: don't think I put that much energy in a stand
- 43:10Speaker 1: up comic to be perfect. I haven't done that. He
- 43:13Speaker 1: is perfect, not a perfect man and a perfect game,
- 43:17Speaker 1: perfect basketball at the game perfect. And I don't think
- 43:20Speaker 1: there's any man that's perfect. I don't think it's anybody
- 43:24Speaker 1: perfect at anything. I think he was the best that
- 43:27Speaker 1: that ever was. I mean he worked harder on the
- 43:31Speaker 1: perfection of it aspect, like Tommy said, than anybody, and
- 43:35Speaker 1: his will to win, he would win. That was it
- 43:39Speaker 1: he met. He expected the process. He said, why would
- 43:45Speaker 1: I think about a shot I never took? Why would
- 43:47Speaker 1: I miss it? He thought he could make every shot,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and he won't that ball when that clock going down.
- 43:55Speaker 1: I've seen people run from that ball. Lebron was like,
- 44:00Speaker 1: for a minute, Lebron used to not want the ball
- 44:02Speaker 1: with the last ten seconds. You ain't supposed to say that.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I'm not imposed to, but I said, two years and
- 44:12Speaker 1: I saw it. I remember that. But Lebron grew into
- 44:16Speaker 1: the champ grew into it. Ye man, you know, Magic
- 44:21Speaker 1: grew into it. Jordan grew into it because Detroit was
- 44:28Speaker 1: just whipping his behind all right, coming up next Nephew
- 44:32Speaker 1: in the building with today's praying phone call. Right after this,
- 44:35Speaker 1: you're listening to morning show coming up at the top
- 44:40Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after it's my
- 44:43Speaker 1: strawberry letter for today, the subject I don't have a
- 44:46Speaker 1: good feeling about this. I don't have a good feeling
- 44:49Speaker 1: about this right now though, nephew in the building with
- 44:53Speaker 1: today's praying phone call. What you got for his neph
- 44:55Speaker 1: What you can You're not graduate? Huh? You not graduate? Wait?
- 45:03Speaker 1: You not graduate? Just stop playing do not graduate? Let's

- 45:50Speaker 1: maybe we can get you over at student affairs and
- 45:52Speaker 1: come in and have a meeting with us. But we
- 45:54Speaker 1: wanted to bring it to your attention. Now, you took
- 45:57Speaker 1: a one of your last subjects was England, uh, and
- 46:01Speaker 1: you had an English exam with a You guys are
- 46:04Speaker 1: writing an essay. Am, I am? I am? I correct
- 46:07Speaker 1: about that? Yeah and yeah, that's true. Okay, this season
- 46:11Speaker 1: we got some problems here that the professor there is
- 46:14Speaker 1: actually a signor meeting that you may have cheated on
- 46:17Speaker 1: this on this essay that you've actually written cheated. No,
- 46:23Speaker 1: I mean from from what he's telling us here at
- 46:25Speaker 1: Student Affairs is that you may have plagiarized some things
- 46:29Speaker 1: uh that uh that we're in your essay. Dude, No,
- 46:32Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't plagiarize nothing that was in the essay.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Everything is documented like it should be. So I don't
- 46:37Speaker 1: know what you're talking about, especially cheating on no exam
- 46:40Speaker 1: or no paper nothing like that. You must got me
- 46:42Speaker 1: mixed up with somebody else. No, no, no, not at all.
- 46:44Speaker 1: You're actually mister Travan correct. I mean that's me. But
- 46:47Speaker 1: I didn't cheat on no exam. But that matter. Okay, Well,
- 46:51Speaker 1: let me let me try to bring you up to
- 46:52Speaker 1: speed here at Travan. What we're gonna need is we're
- 46:54Speaker 1: gonna need you to actually come in and talk to
- 46:57Speaker 1: us over here at student affairs so we can try
- 46:59Speaker 1: to get this thing rectified. But I will let you know,
- 47:02Speaker 1: it's gonna take a few more days longer than graduation.
- 47:06Speaker 1: So as of right now, you're actually not gonna be
- 47:09Speaker 1: walking uh and graduating with the rest of the students. Man, dude, Man,
- 47:14Speaker 1: you got me messed up. What's what you mean? I'm
- 47:16Speaker 1: not gonna be walking well until we get this situation
- 47:19Speaker 1: rectified here. You're not gonna be graduating with the rest
- 47:22Speaker 1: of the students now. Dot. I don't know what you'a
- 47:25Speaker 1: gotta do, but y'all need to figure it out or
- 47:26Speaker 1: find out what the problem. He Man, I ain't cheat
- 47:28Speaker 1: on no exam there you're talking about. Dude. My family
- 47:31Speaker 1: is coming down here and you're talking about cheating on
- 47:32Speaker 1: an English exam. They look like cheating on an example,
- 47:35Speaker 1: and I'm getting ready to graduate. Man. Now, y'all need
- 47:38Speaker 1: to fix it, like right now, like today while we're
- 47:40Speaker 1: on the phone. We can't do that. It's a little
- 47:42Speaker 1: it's a sensitive subject and like I said, it seems
- 47:44Speaker 1: like it's plagiarism. I mean, you know, if we can
- 47:46Speaker 1: get you to actually come over the student affairs next Wednesday. Man,
- 47:51Speaker 1: you got me? What you mean next Wednesday? Dude, I'm
- 47:54Speaker 1: graduating in a few days. When you're talking about next wednesday, Man,
- 47:58Speaker 1: why don't my professor didn't give me a call? Why
- 48:00Speaker 1: are you calling me sir? This is not something that
- 48:02Speaker 1: professors actually take care of. This is a student affair
- 48:05Speaker 1: situation now, and it's a very sensitive situation. And what
- 48:08Speaker 1: we want to do is try to get this thing
- 48:09Speaker 1: taken care of. And if you if what you're saying
- 48:12Speaker 1: is actually true, then you're probably graduating. August. Man, you
- 48:17Speaker 1: got me. I'm telling you writing that this is a
- 48:20Speaker 1: you got me? August. Man, I'm graduating. This to mess
- 48:24Speaker 1: I didn't mean here too long to go through some
- 48:26Speaker 1: my last few weeks of school, and you talk about August.
- 48:30Speaker 1: I ain't even right here, man, You didn't even time
- 48:34Speaker 1: to hear what you got to say. Man, my family
- 48:36Speaker 1: is coming down here from everywhere to see me graduating. Now.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I'm my first four to graduate from my family. You
- 48:41Speaker 1: talk about some take my teat on the paper, a paper,
- 48:45Speaker 1: a paper? Can you come me, man, I'm gonna work
- 48:48Speaker 1: two and three to see me to this school. And
- 48:51Speaker 1: now I'm coming getting rid of to graduate, and you're
- 48:53Speaker 1: talking about how to wait until August a graduate. Man,
- 48:56Speaker 1: Hell no, I'm on my way to the office right now,
- 48:58Speaker 1: and you can tell whatever to profess I feel that
- 49:00Speaker 1: I'm on my way and he needs to be there too, Sir.
- 49:03Speaker 1: I can really tell you that we can try and
- 49:04Speaker 1: get this thing rectified as early as the next Wednesday. Man,
- 49:07Speaker 1: what's your name again? And where's where's your office? I'm
- 49:11Speaker 1: in studing the prayers. I'm Joe's okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 49:13Speaker 1: So I'm about to get in my car right now
- 49:15Speaker 1: and I'm about to come over there, and we're gonna
- 49:17Speaker 1: handle it today. And how are you singing to me
- 49:19Speaker 1: out cheating on the exam paper? Man? Is that? Sir? All?
- 49:24Speaker 1: The thing is the professor man that there's a possibility
- 49:26Speaker 1: of plagiarism? Here are you kenning me? Do I've been
- 49:29Speaker 1: in five Yes, I'm the first man to graduate from Callers. Man.
- 49:35Speaker 1: My grandmo is eighty two, he's old? Is she coming
- 49:38Speaker 1: in and see me graduate? And you're telling me about
- 49:41Speaker 1: seeing on the papers? And I got away to I'll
- 49:43Speaker 1: get to graduate. Make you tell the professor to come
- 49:48Speaker 1: to your office right now, because I'm already in my
- 49:50Speaker 1: car on my way to come to your office, and
- 49:52Speaker 1: we're gonna handing this today, said man about me. I
- 49:56Speaker 1: don't have any more room or my schedule to actually
- 49:58Speaker 1: pull anybody into you're gonna call me with like this
- 50:02Speaker 1: something you ain't got room in your schedule. And hell now,
- 50:06Speaker 1: miss miss whatever your name is, I'm on my way
- 50:08Speaker 1: to your office right now, and I dad you, I
- 50:12Speaker 1: tell you, and I'm telling you up front it's gonna
- 50:14Speaker 1: be a problem. I ain't graduating in a few days.
- 50:17Speaker 1: You got to deal with me. You got to deal
- 50:18Speaker 1: with my family and my mama. We're gonna play this
- 50:21Speaker 1: think you got up start, sir, I understand. Is there
- 50:24Speaker 1: a possibility that maybe you plagiarized and didn't know that
- 50:27Speaker 1: you did that? You mean the paper was officer already new? Sir?
- 50:32Speaker 1: Can I can? I can? I tell you one more
- 50:34Speaker 1: thing and then and then all that you can't tell you?
- 50:36Speaker 1: Then you're not ready to call me with somebody. I
- 50:38Speaker 1: can't graduate with my class as I hadn't been this
- 50:40Speaker 1: for five years, the sea and sun in myself, and
- 50:43Speaker 1: you're telling me I can't graduate until August. You ain't
- 50:46Speaker 1: got to tell me. I do have one more thing
- 50:49Speaker 1: I need to tell you, and then I'll let you
- 50:50Speaker 1: be on your way. Okay, man, go ahead? Are can
- 50:53Speaker 1: I tell you what I want to tell you? New

- 51:34Speaker 1: it's been a journey, bro. I think it's been a
- 51:37Speaker 1: I got one up in the ass you baby? What

- 51:52Speaker 1: You can't do that, you know, especially not now? I understand.
- 51:56Speaker 1: I understand. There's a purpose for it and the purpose
- 51:59Speaker 1: for the hall. What's the pranks to create? Frank? That's
- 52:02Speaker 1: why that's why we do this. That was your purpose, ye,

- 52:31Speaker 1: Oh my god, Oh that cussing out you got? Was
- 52:36Speaker 1: it worth the blood? The bloodshed? That almost happens? That?

- 54:23Speaker 1: Thank you, nephews. Subject. I don't have a good feeling
- 54:26Speaker 1: about this. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm ready to call off
- 54:30Speaker 1: my engagement, but I need your advice first. My fiance
- 54:34Speaker 1: and I are both divorced, and our first marriages were terrible.
- 54:38Speaker 1: I've been working on my issue so I can be
- 54:40Speaker 1: a better wife this time. My fiance, on the other hand,
- 54:44Speaker 1: does not think he has anything to work on, but
- 54:47Speaker 1: he admitted to cheating on his first wife, so he's
- 54:50Speaker 1: got some baggage. Now, after five years of being with him,
- 54:54Speaker 1: I think he's cheating on me. All of a sudden,
- 54:57Speaker 1: his behavior changed. He started coming home from work later
- 55:01Speaker 1: than usual with no logical excuse. Then one morning in
- 55:05Speaker 1: late March, as he left the house, he said he
- 55:08Speaker 1: would be in a mandatory training at work all day
- 55:11Speaker 1: and he wouldn't have access to his phone. I figured
- 55:14Speaker 1: he was lying, but I don't want to be paranoid
- 55:18Speaker 1: and crazy like I was with my ex husband. My
- 55:20Speaker 1: fiance came home from his work training an hour late,
- 55:23Speaker 1: and my craziness kicked in. He started making small talk
- 55:28Speaker 1: about his hectic day and I told him to let
- 55:30Speaker 1: me see his phone. He gave me his phone and
- 55:33Speaker 1: I checked his text messages and call logs. There was
- 55:36Speaker 1: nothing there. He had deleted every last one of his
- 55:39Speaker 1: texas and cleared his call log I told him he
- 55:43Speaker 1: was looking really guilty of something, and he made up
- 55:46Speaker 1: a lie about his calls and texas being deleted when
- 55:49Speaker 1: his phone did a software update. He kept on nervously
- 55:53Speaker 1: talking and lying about his day, and I called him
- 55:56Speaker 1: on the BS. Since that day, I've been sleeping in
- 55:59Speaker 1: our test room. I refuse to enter into another bad marriage,
- 56:03Speaker 1: and I told him we need to sell the house
- 56:05Speaker 1: and split up. He swears he hasn't cheated, and all
- 56:08Speaker 1: of a sudden he's willing to work on some of
- 56:10Speaker 1: his flaws. Should I move on and leave this liar
- 56:14Speaker 1: or wait to see if he's willing to change? God?
- 56:21Speaker 1: What was that? All right? I mean, this is a crazy,
- 56:25Speaker 1: crazy situation here. Um. I think you left out a
- 56:28Speaker 1: lot of stuff. But I always say and think that
- 56:31Speaker 1: one thing is clear, and that is when a man
- 56:34Speaker 1: changes his behavior. You didn't say specifically what he's been doing,
- 56:38Speaker 1: but you know when he changed his behavior, like get
- 56:42Speaker 1: new underwear or starts wearing new cologne, things like that,
- 56:46Speaker 1: you can thus believe that something is going on and
- 56:50Speaker 1: he's done it before. So and you're a woman, so
- 56:54Speaker 1: you know you have a feeling about these things a
- 56:55Speaker 1: lot of times, if you suspect it, a lot of times,
- 56:59Speaker 1: it's happening, all right, especially in this kind of situation.
- 57:02Speaker 1: I think the problem is you say you called him
- 57:04Speaker 1: on his bs, but nothing really happened. You're just sleeping
- 57:07Speaker 1: in the guest room. You're still there. You guys are
- 57:10Speaker 1: still together. You're you're asking us for advice. You did
- 57:14Speaker 1: tell him to sell the house and that you guys
- 57:16Speaker 1: should split up, but still nothing happened. You guys are
- 57:20Speaker 1: still there, You're still living in the same house. He
- 57:23Speaker 1: wants to work it out. You've been together five years,
- 57:29Speaker 1: you know. I mean he's changed his behavior. You haven't
- 57:34Speaker 1: really found any proof, not that you really really need proof,
- 57:38Speaker 1: but I mean, he just handed you his phone when
- 57:42Speaker 1: you ask for it, So, I mean, guys don't usually
- 57:45Speaker 1: do that unless they've done what you say he did,
- 57:49Speaker 1: clear everything out. They usually keep that phone pretty close
- 57:52Speaker 1: to them on all occasions. Only time they don't is
- 57:57Speaker 1: when they're not doing something. So I think, yeah, probably
- 58:00Speaker 1: something is going on again. You've known him for five years.
- 58:03Speaker 1: If you want to sell the house and split up,
- 58:05Speaker 1: then that's what you need to do. But you're still there.
- 58:09Speaker 1: I mean, so he's going to think that he can
- 58:11Speaker 1: still cheat and stay there. So you need to make
- 58:14Speaker 1: up your mind what you want to do. Okay, Steve,
- 58:20Speaker 1: Lord Lord Lord hurt you? Okay, just listening to this?
- 58:26Speaker 1: What the hell do a man have to do? Good
- 58:31Speaker 1: Lord Lord Lord, Okay, let's just look at this letter.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Briefly from the standpoint of if let's go my fiance,
- 58:41Speaker 1: I've been working on some things. We both had divorces
- 58:44Speaker 1: first match. I've been working on my issues so I
- 58:47Speaker 1: could be a better wife this time. So obviously she
- 58:50Speaker 1: did something where she wasn't a good wife. And then
- 58:52Speaker 1: she says my fiance on others saying, does not think
- 58:55Speaker 1: he got anything to work on? All right, you know,
- 58:59Speaker 1: maybe he don't, but he admitted to cheating on his
- 59:02Speaker 1: first wife, so he got some baggage. Okay, what baggage like?
- 59:08Speaker 1: Men don't have baggage about that. If we cheated on you,
- 59:12Speaker 1: that ain't baggage to us. That's just something that happened.
- 59:17Speaker 1: So when we ain't bringing that with us, that just
- 59:19Speaker 1: popped off. I'm just reading the letter as supposed he
- 59:23Speaker 1: telling the truth. And after five years of being with him,
- 59:27Speaker 1: I think he's cheating on me, all of a sudden
- 59:29Speaker 1: his behavior change. He started coming home from work later
- 59:32Speaker 1: than usual with no logical excuses. What is a logical
- 59:37Speaker 1: excuse because I want to know what that is versus
- 59:40Speaker 1: an illogical excuse because I need to know the difference.
- 59:45Speaker 1: So he just he't what well, if he had to
- 59:49Speaker 1: work later. I mean, surely he would have proof that
- 59:51Speaker 1: he was at the office working. What you what kind
- 59:53Speaker 1: of proof you're gonna have? I was there? Yeah, I
- 59:56Speaker 1: just told y'all was there. He can bring in other
- 59:58Speaker 1: people to corroborate that. You know that, right? Why ain't
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: nobody fit in the brain? Nobody? How best ain't met
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: tell her? Wasn't we at work? I'm not add we're
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: not fitting to do that. Then one morning in late Marches,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: he left for the house. He said he'd been a
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: mandatory training at work all day and he couldn't have
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: access to his phone. That sounds fair, sound like a
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: ball faced lie. Great, mandatory training, ain't gonna have access
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: to your phone all day? Sound like what I figured
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: he was lying. But I ain't want to be padding
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: out and crazy like I was with my ex. He
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: came home from work training an hour late, and my
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: craziness kicked in. I'll be right back. So far he
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: ain't done nothing. All right, we'll have part two if
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up in twenty three minutes after the
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: hour Today's Strawberry letter subject I don't have a good
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: feeling about this. We'll get back into it right after
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: this you're listening show, all right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject I don't have a feeling
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: about this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They both divorced a fiance.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Now she's been working on the issues because so she
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: could be a better wife this time. Obviously she wasn't
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: the first time fiance. Don't think he got nothing to
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: work on. He good, but he admitted to cheating on
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: his first wife, So he got some baggage. What baggage?
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I just want to ask, what is the baggage? Did
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you just hear her? She just said cheating to her,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: that's baggage. But see what is the baggage? I'm just
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: as cheater. That's not that ain't baggage to a man. Okay,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: well it is to a woman. She's okay. I'm just
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: telling you he's got some baggage. He just said. On
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: the other hand, he don't think he got anything to
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: work on now, five years of being where I think
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: he's cheating on me, all of a sudden, his behavior change,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Shirley said, like if he's buying new underwear that ain't
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: in the damn letter being changed. He started coming home
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: from work later than usual, with no logical excuse? What
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: is an illogical excuse? See, he ain't got a logical excuse.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: You would have accepted an illogical excuse. Hello, what she's
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: saying that? I'm just asking you though? He doesn't have
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: any reason for being out late, other than he's probably
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: whipped someone else or she suspects him of cheating. And
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: what did he say to her? Yeah? What did he
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: say to him? Why did he say that ain't in
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: the letter? Well, I said she left a lot of
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: stuff out, and she did. He was right now. Then
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: one morning, as he left the house, he said he'd
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: be in a mandatory training at work all day and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: he wouldn't have access to his phone. Okay, ivinghole chemical plant,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: we didn't even have seale phones. Yeah back then, Hello,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: he did? So was I cheating in? No? We don't
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: know that now, do we? No? I didn't had no phone. Hello.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: I figured he was lying, But I didn't want to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: be panot and crazy like I was with my ex husband. Okay,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: so that's her issue, pano and crazy. My fiance came
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: home from work training an hour late, and my craziness
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: kicked in. Yes, that's why she don't need to be
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: married all this day, craziness just kicking in. As soon
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: as he do something. He started making small talk about
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: his hectic day. I told him, let me see his phone,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: he'll go to good part. He gave me his phone.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I checked his text messages and call log. That was
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: nothing there, but except her paranoia and craziness that had
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: kicked in. That was nothing there. He deleted. He deleted
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: every last one of his texts and cleared his call long. Yes,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: so come on, what we're talking about? Whatever? Nothing else?
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Don't try it, don't try. I told him he was
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: looking really guilty of something. He made up a lie
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: about his calls and texas being deleted when his phone
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: did a software update. Mine do that too, soft software update?
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I don't. He kept on nervously talking in lying about
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: his date, and I called him on the BS. My
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: paranoian craziness called him on the BS. Since that day,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: I've been sleeping in our guest room. I refused to
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: enter into another bad marriage, and I told him we
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: need to sell the house and split up. Okay, okay,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: you're gonna sell the house? Split up? There? What do
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: what do? Nervously talking side like, baby, don't? Yeah, I
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: was all up in that meeting training who I was training, training,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: training who also tired of training? All day I was
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: asking me them questions. I had to man for the training,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: you know, because I was ready all day. It was mandatory,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: you know, mandatory training, that's what I did. You know,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I was a man. I was in there. Boyd girl,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: you're a girl. You ain't never been there like mandatory training,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: training trainers. We had to be up in now, Man,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I was a man. What did you? Oh? Man? Just
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: all types of training stuff like that, you know, how
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: to get trained. You know. Then we was working on
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the other part of training, and you know, learning how
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: to how to how to be trained. And then you know,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: then I then they had me come up front and
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: then I trained else pretty good, you know. So they
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: were kind of talking to me about a different position.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: You know, baby, this could be something for us, you know. Man.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: So anyway, he swears he hasn't cheated, and all of
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: a sudden he's willing to work on some of his flaws.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Should I move on and leave this liar A wait
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: to see if he's willing to change. Well, if you're
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: so sure about it, just leave him. Put the house
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: up for sale like you said, and split and then
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you don't have to worry about it if your life
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: how about that? But something is keeping her there right
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: because she's just talking right, because she knows her paranoia
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: and craziness, that paranoia crazy. Something else should see, Shirley,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: you just been crazy. She called herself that he the
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: caller is crazy. Y'all ain't Monica paranoia? Now, if y'all
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: put y'all together, you have this lady in the letter.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: All right? That's your comments Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve

- 1:07:38Speaker 1: black folks come up missing. You know, like I want
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: to do crazy stuff like that, like quil watching with crackling,

- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I thought, okay, Steve was concerned. You mean quail hunting.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Same thing. I'm in here either watching or hunting. Which
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: one are they doing? Who're gonna watch quail? I don't know.

- 1:08:52Speaker 1: I can't believe they out there looking for this thing. Man.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: All right, come on, this is a tough one. Do
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I want Steve to go last, or do I want
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: come on? Come on? I want to go running at midnight, Nike,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: that's what I want to see, just to feel free.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I knew it. I knew it, and you know what
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: to Tommy, nudity has gone up since people they've been
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: walking around the house naked. His favorite show is Naked
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: and Afraid. I watched that boy, they'd be having some
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: dirt on the boy looking filthy. I'd be going, you
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: don't get down to a creak and wash your man?
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: What do you want to do? That's what I want
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: to do. I want to go. That's that. That's what
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna do soon as quarantine on what I'm gonna
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: go in or sign up for the show or Naked
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: and Frey x L. Mister law, well, you know that's
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: what I'm gonna be when I get on the show.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna listen caluman elotions. But you go, man, I
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: wish I would be sitting up so were asked naked
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: for twenty one day walking around with another naked person.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Gotta be out your rabbity, you know, which was crazy
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: to me. You don't win nothing, make it dog, You're
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: just sent up in that nigga books eating your ass.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Oh that makes me squeezing hungry. Eating anything crawling. All right,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I'm a Friday's Grasshoppers tonight. All right, coming up at
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: the top of the hour, more trending news. We'll talk
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: about your foundation, Steve. That's coming up right after this.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, So, Steve, I mean
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: you're doing such great things with your virtual mentoring program
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: by helping the young men realize their potential. I mean
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: some people would just say you're doing God's work right now.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: You're helping young men as they prepare for strong and
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: productive future. Yesterday, during your virtual Monday mentoring session, Kirk
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Franklin was your surprise guest for one of your mentees,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: nine year old boy. He's a bass player named Aaron.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Take a listen to Kirk's reaction to little Aaron playing
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: the bass to Kirk's song Love Theory. What's up for?
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: He's bad? God made him special and he hasn't even
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: seen all the great things that life is going to
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: give him because he's here for a purpose. You know,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: this boy was nine years old. Yeah, from Slovakia, Slovenia,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: whatever it is. He's nine. He doesn't speaking, his brother
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: translates from him. His brothers are older. He's like twenty two.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: He's a music producer. His brother's nine. The nine year
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: old boy watched me a clip on the Male Apollo
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Show with the kids back in the day. A little
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: black boy came on and did Bow Wow. He fell
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: in love with the clip. That's all he watched. He
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: picked up the bass and started playing bass. His favorite
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: music is black gospel music. The boy speaks no English.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: He was playing Kirk Franklin's Love Theory, I mean hitting it.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: His favorite artist is Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond and somebody else.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: But he could play everything. So he played for me
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: cooling the game's too hot. I mean how he know that? Yeah?
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: At nine, all he knows is black music. And the
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: little kid was fascinated. He's a huge fan of Kirk Franklins.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: And when Kirk Franklin came on, his mouth just fell open.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: And his brother translates for him. It was just really
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: interesting thing. Man. So it's just, you know, just we're
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: just trying to just mentoring man and just giving boys
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: from all the walks of life a different view. You know,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: when young people see other young people succeeding, it can
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: inspire them. When they find out they're getting bullied. Man,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I got just one kid. I'm trying to help right now.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: As soon as I get it together, I think it's
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: going to be one of our top stories that we're
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: gonna do. I mean, it's just boy, I think I
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: sent you all the video. Oh yeah, I didn't want
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: to look at it. I didn't look at it. Yeah, no,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: it's it's a horrible video. It's a horrible video. Oh yeah, man,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: a lot of boys. But the mondays, Yeah, we're doing
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I mean, you're doing great. It's picking up steam even
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: more and more. Did you think that it was going
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: to be as successful so quickly as it No, I
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: just I didn't, man, I just really thought, you know,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: we changed some boys lives, mostly on the foundation page.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: I didn't know it's gonna get loose on Facebook. I
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: didn't think it was gonna have the millions of hits
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: that has had. I just didn't. I just I just
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: didn't foresee it. And a couple of the story the
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: other week, or the fourteen year old boy that we
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: paid for school that got picked up by CBS News,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: you know, yeah, it was on CBS. There's an lasso
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: on it in Black Enterprise, Steve about your mentoring. I
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: just yeah, see yeah, and it's really it's really catching
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: on it. You know, I didn't intend for it to
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: do that. I mean, I'm grateful that it is, because
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: I just need the more eyeballs I can get on it,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: the more attention we can draw to just how effective
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: mentoring can be from any anybody. If you're a man
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: and you grab a young boy and you tell him
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: how to become a man, you have his undivided attention.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: You don't have to be rich, none of that. Man,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Just dudes, they just want to They want to know,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: and if you could just give them some guidance or
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: be their friend, take them to a game or something,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: go to the park with him, helping work on his jump,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: or get the rebound for him, you know anything. Man,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: it's just a great thing, you know. And in the
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: quarantine you're finding that you don't have to physically be there,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: you know. Yeah. Yeah, really that's really a surprising plus

- 1:16:11Speaker 1: flight risk and poses a danger to the community. And
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: as far as his diagnosis, she said, while the CDC
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: has identified diabetes as a risk factor for COVID nineteen,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: the same is not true for pre diabetics. She did
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: her homework too. Tommy and Carla condition that affects nearly
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: one in three American adults. He tried to get out

- 1:19:30Speaker 1: work right now. What you're saying you don't go to work?
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: You're at work right now. I mean, you know how
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: you I just came in here. It's just oh me,

- 1:20:37Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a pretty good day.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: Carla winning her Gracie Award. Congratulations A gag girl, y'all.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: You deserve that for sure. For sure. Well, you're one
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: thing about an award of recognition. They don't recognize you
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: if you're not doing anything. That's true, you know, you
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: have to be doing something to get recognized for it.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: They don't just randomly look people up and say, hey,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: come get this award. You go down there for what
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: for your work with breast cancer or your work with
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: the young girls? Or when when was I doing that? No, no, no,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: they know. So congratulations called, thank you, thank you very
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: much deserving. I love you, guys, Thank you for that.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: Appreciate you all right, Steve. Now your term you've got
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: And I've been very fortunate, and I've also been very
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: fortunate doing this coronavirus period. I was taking an inventory
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: of every blessing that God had given to me since
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: the quarantine locked down work stoppage all began. And it
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: really got me a bitty otional because I went, Wow, Man,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: God is so good to me. And I was watching
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: something my wife had gave to me the other day.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: This morning, I was watching Joel Ostein's last sermon, and
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I don't remember the name of the sermon, but it
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: was about power thinking and how to think power thoughts.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I was listening to him, Man, it made so much sense.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: It reaffirmed a lot of things that I was thinking.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: But you know, Joel Ostein has a really really special
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: way of phrasing things that kind of makes having a
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: walk a really really simple thing. He was talking specifically
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: about this coronavirus period and how you can come out
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: of this thing better than when you went into it.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: And it doesn't matter what your current circumstances are, if
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: you just make an attitude adjustment, if you just start
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: working on the powerful thinking power thoughts, if you erase
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: what you think negatively. Now, look, nobody cannot think negatively
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: at times. We're human. I mean, come on, okay, Look,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: sometimes you sit there and you just sometimes the thoughts
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: creep into your mind. That's not positive. It happens to
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: every living soul. So I'm not saying get rid of
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: all negative thinking, but I am saying that you can
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: control it. Though. You have the right to decide what
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: you focus on and what you don't focus on. And
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: I'll tell you one thing. The thing that you focus
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: on is the thing you're gonna have to deal with
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: the most. And if you would just start when negative
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: thoughts come into your mind, if you would just work
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: on replacing them with positive thoughts, listen to me, y'all. Again,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: I'm not saying you're not going to have negative thoughts,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: because everybody has them, but you can control whether they
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: stick around and take root. See negative thoughts, if you
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: let them set in, if you let them take root,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: they grow, and they turn into negative situations and negative problems.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: And no, and negative situations and negative problems always have
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: a negative outcome and a negative results. So what you
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: have to do is when you have these negative thoughts,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: if you have to start replacing them with power thoughts.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: One of the things that Joel Olstein said was he said,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: stop listening to what people say about you, and start
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: listening to what God says about you. See, God says
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: that you are great. God says that you are worthy.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: God says that you were created in his own image.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: God says that you were created to be prosperous and bountiful.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: That's what God said about you. God did not say
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: you were gonna have a life of misery and fail
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: and never recover and fall and can't get up. No.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: God promised to be a very present help in the
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: time of trouble. And I'm telling you doing this crisis,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: if you change the way you think, you can change
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: your outcome. I give you an example. There are some
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: people here in this crisis who are going to lose
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: their job. Some jobs are not coming back. Now. If
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: you're sitting there going, oh, man, I lost my job,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: my job ain't never coming back. I don't know what
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. Suppose you replace that thought with, well, Lord,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: you can't close this door. You must you must want
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: me to go up another door. You must want me
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: to walk through another door, go up the hall. Sometimes
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: losing your job is to get you in a position,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: to get you to a better job and a better position,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: maybe to bur you to go on and open up
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: a business, or do something that you've always dreamed of doing,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: because you know, remember long a while back, I said,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: you know, everybody I know that successful has jumped. But
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: let me say this to you though. Sometimes the junk
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: comes in the form of a push, and sometimes this
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: pandemic has pushed a lot of us and has pushed
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: us into where God may want us to be. But
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: you've got to look at the bright side. You've got
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: to look at the upside. Stop thinking old, woe is me?
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: This is it? It ain't nothing, man, There's no problem
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: that you have that's bigger than God. Not The coronavirus
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: is not bigger or more powerful than God. The pandemic
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: is not bigger or more powerful than God. It's just not.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: And you got to stop giving up the power that
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: God has given us through creating us through His image
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: and give it back to the pandemic. What the pandemic
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: gonna do to you that you ain't survived already? You
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: can't in me? What? Man? Come on, Change your negative
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: thoughts and replace them with power thoughts. Stop listening to
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: what they say about you, and start listening to what
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: God says about you. Those are a close breeds. Let
