Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Donald Glover is Childish Gambino, or at least was, as
- 0:06Speaker 2: he's expressed. He's retired the stage name but will continue
- 0:09Speaker 2: to make music, but Childish Gambino is also at least
- 0:12Speaker 2: in part producer Ludwig Gorenson, who Glover met on the
- 0:16Speaker 2: set of Community while he was starring on the show,
- 0:18Speaker 2: and Ludwig was its composer and went on to produce
- 0:21Speaker 2: all the music that Donald sang or rapped as Gambino.
- 0:24Speaker 2: In the days since, Ludwig has gone on to have
- 0:26Speaker 2: even greater success as both a film and a TV composer,
- 0:29Speaker 2: recently on Sinners and simultaneously as a pop and rap
- 0:33Speaker 2: producer for Kendrick and Adele, and he admitted to Zane
- 0:37Speaker 2: Lowe he does have a slight preference for one over
- 0:40Speaker 2: the other, saying I do love making songs, so I
- 0:42Speaker 2: prefer working with artists, and for me that's always been
- 0:45Speaker 2: really important for my own personal musical journey and for
- 0:48Speaker 2: my own growth. To sit with another artist. No disrespect
- 0:51Speaker 2: to directors there artists as well, but to sit with
- 0:54Speaker 2: another musician, work with them, get their vision out, to
- 0:57Speaker 2: just sit and create something is a maze. You can
- 1:01Speaker 2: catch his score for Sinners, which he stresses he still
- 1:04Speaker 2: loves doing as well. It's in theaters right now.
- 1:07Speaker 1: That's direct from Hollywood.
