- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your thing at it. I shall a
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. I have something and it's so describes how
- 2:16Speaker 1: I was living. It's so captures the feelings that I
- 2:23Speaker 1: had about beginning on the pathway of my dreams. It's
- 2:28Speaker 1: so describes how I felt when I was about to
- 2:33Speaker 1: attempt something. And I have some striking news for you.
- 2:38Speaker 1: It describes often how I feel still today to a degree.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So let me tell you what that is. And I
- 2:45Speaker 1: know what's happened to a lot of people. Here's an
- 2:48Speaker 1: analogy that I um. I've heard a couple of different ways,
- 2:56Speaker 1: but I've kind of you know, fixed it around to
- 2:58Speaker 1: where I can drink it better. And I think it
- 3:02Speaker 1: fits my personality to describe it to people best this way.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You know I was I was talking. I've talked often
- 3:10Speaker 1: about the urgency of doing something with your life, of
- 3:17Speaker 1: of getting started today, of stopping the procrastination and putting
- 3:21Speaker 1: it off, and waiting on all your ducks to line
- 3:24Speaker 1: up in a row, and waiting until the stars aligned themselves.
- 3:28Speaker 1: If if you ain't on such a thing, you're you're
- 3:31Speaker 1: you're never gonna get started. I don't really, I don't
- 3:35Speaker 1: know too many people who can say that all the
- 3:37Speaker 1: ducks just lined up in a row. Things happen. Things
- 3:41Speaker 1: happen even when you get them lined up. One of
- 3:44Speaker 1: the ducks get out of line, or somebody knock over
- 3:47Speaker 1: the domino, or something happens. But here's here's here's here's
- 3:51Speaker 1: here's the point I'm getting at. God has so many
- 3:57Speaker 1: blessings of ailable to you, you who's listening. God has
- 4:05Speaker 1: so many blessings available to you from where you are
- 4:10Speaker 1: right now. I don't care what you've gotten yourself into
- 4:16Speaker 1: or what you've done. God has so many blessings that
- 4:20Speaker 1: he can send your way, But you have to do something.
- 4:26Speaker 1: See a lot of people just sit around and go Man,
- 4:29Speaker 1: I don't as something always happening to you. You're always
- 4:32Speaker 1: getting a break, You're always doing this, you always do Man,
- 4:35Speaker 1: don't nothing come my way. Listen to me. If nothing
- 4:39Speaker 1: ever comes your way, you know why that is. It's
- 4:42Speaker 1: because you're not doing anything. I promise you you're not. See.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Here's a deal. God has all these blessings he wants
- 4:50Speaker 1: to send you, but you got to give him something
- 4:53Speaker 1: to work with. Now, come on, you have to give
- 4:57Speaker 1: God something to work with. God will bless you. God
- 5:02Speaker 1: can touch people's hearts on your behalf. He can move
- 5:05Speaker 1: situations around for you. He can align the stars. He
- 5:09Speaker 1: can set the ducks up in the road. But align
- 5:12Speaker 1: the stars and move people around, and touch people's hearts
- 5:15Speaker 1: and set the ducks up in the road. For what
- 5:18Speaker 1: based on what have you put forth? Any effort? Have
- 5:23Speaker 1: you made a single step in any direction to do
- 5:26Speaker 1: the right thing or go the right way? That gives
- 5:29Speaker 1: him something to put his finger on. Come on, man,
- 5:34Speaker 1: God can only bless you according to your faith. If
- 5:39Speaker 1: you have a little bit of faith, give him that,
- 5:41Speaker 1: let him work with that. He can do that, You know, man,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I didn't always start with these speeches you're hear in
- 5:47Speaker 1: the morning now. I ain't always had these. I grew
- 5:49Speaker 1: to these. I stumbled my way to these. I messed
- 5:54Speaker 1: up my way to these. Here. I got it wrong
- 5:58Speaker 1: so many times to be able to sound like I
- 6:00Speaker 1: got some sense. I said it often. Failure is a
- 6:05Speaker 1: wonderful teacher. Do you know how many times I have
- 6:08Speaker 1: had to have failed to have what I have in
- 6:12Speaker 1: my head today. I'm telling you, man, it's a process.
- 6:17Speaker 1: People get mad at the process. You got to do
- 6:20Speaker 1: something to give God something to work with. He'll bless you.
- 6:24Speaker 1: But what you want me to bless if you ain't
- 6:26Speaker 1: putting forth any effort, any effort, if you just sit
- 6:31Speaker 1: down and start. I got a book coming out, I'm
- 6:34Speaker 1: telling you, man, that's going to really explain this thoroughly. Man,
- 6:38Speaker 1: Where you can get blessed from whoever you are in
- 6:40Speaker 1: your life, wherever your starting point is, wherever you find
- 6:44Speaker 1: yourself wound up you can get you can get it
- 6:47Speaker 1: back from. Now. I've done it, man, by the grace
- 6:51Speaker 1: of God, I've done it. I I got got over. Man.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I learned some things along the way because here's the deal.
- 6:57Speaker 1: As long as God keeps waking you up in the morning,
- 7:00Speaker 1: he ain't through with you yet. When he's done, you're done.
- 7:02Speaker 1: But if God still has a plan for you you
- 7:05Speaker 1: wake up in the morning, He's still got some more
- 7:07Speaker 1: work for you to do. You wake up in the morning.
- 7:10Speaker 1: So if you keep waking up, man, it's something that
- 7:12Speaker 1: God wants from you, would love to have from you,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and he can work with you, man, if you just
- 7:18Speaker 1: walk towards him a little bit. So here's the deal.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I know it's hard for the average person to start
- 7:26Speaker 1: because the fear of the unknown is incredible. What if
- 7:29Speaker 1: I failed? What if I don't get picked? You know,
- 7:32Speaker 1: one of the hardest things I ever did was walking
- 7:35Speaker 1: in to quit my job. Oh man, let me tell
- 7:38Speaker 1: you about that day when I decided that I was
- 7:40Speaker 1: gonna be a full time comedian after winning an amateur
- 7:44Speaker 1: night one time. Quitting your job, following your dream, going
- 7:50Speaker 1: forward despite all the nay says, it's like stepping off
- 7:54Speaker 1: a cliff. It's like actually just walking off the edge
- 7:58Speaker 1: of a cliff, hoping, hoping. Now not really knowing, but
- 8:05Speaker 1: hoping hoping is the bad basis of faith. I stepped
- 8:11Speaker 1: off that cliff hoping that my parachute would open and
- 8:17Speaker 1: allow me to drift down. See, I've never sky dived before,
- 8:22Speaker 1: but I would imagine part of the thrill. And I
- 8:24Speaker 1: don't know this because I'm not going to sky dive
- 8:27Speaker 1: to find out. I think part of the thrill for
- 8:30Speaker 1: people is the danger part of throwing yourself out a
- 8:35Speaker 1: plane and how it feels to be free falling, but
- 8:38Speaker 1: the whole time they're free falling, having this exhilarating, over
- 8:42Speaker 1: the top moment. You have got to believe, in your
- 8:46Speaker 1: heart of hearts, you have got the hope with everything
- 8:49Speaker 1: in you that when you pull this cord the shoot
- 8:53Speaker 1: opens or else this ain't a good move at all.
- 8:57Speaker 1: But you've packed your shoot yourself, You've taking the lessons,
- 9:01Speaker 1: so you go ahead and you make the leap. Now,
- 9:04Speaker 1: the only thing about quitting your job and following your
- 9:06Speaker 1: dream is you ain't really been trained all that good
- 9:09Speaker 1: for this, and you'ren't really You didn't pack your shoot,
- 9:12Speaker 1: but you ain't never opened it before. So I walked
- 9:16Speaker 1: off this cliff, That's what it was like. And you
- 9:18Speaker 1: following your dream is like you're walking off a cliff. Now,
- 9:21Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Here's the part where people
- 9:25Speaker 1: don't never make the jump. They see somebody like myself
- 9:29Speaker 1: who jumped off the cliff and the and and the
- 9:31Speaker 1: pass you don't open right away. And I hit a
- 9:34Speaker 1: couple of rocks on the way down. I got my
- 9:37Speaker 1: back cut up pretty bad. I got my clothes ripped off.
- 9:41Speaker 1: They see that three years living in a car, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: he got his life toe down jumping off that cliff.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I ain't jumping off that cliff. But see what you
- 9:49Speaker 1: don't understand is you don't you don't know it. But
- 9:54Speaker 1: eventually the shoot will open, and I'm at the parachute
- 9:58Speaker 1: opening part of my life. Man, where a shooting open
- 10:01Speaker 1: and I'm drifting and I'm able to go over to Paris,
- 10:06Speaker 1: guide my shoote over to Paris and glide. I've I've
- 10:09Speaker 1: glided over to Africa and seen what it looked like.
- 10:12Speaker 1: It's a slow ride down. When the passhute finally opened,
- 10:16Speaker 1: and my back then heel too, and the cuts that
- 10:19Speaker 1: I had on me, I remember now I know how
- 10:21Speaker 1: to stay away from the edge. But the parachute and opened,
- 10:25Speaker 1: and I'm enjoying my life for the first time. I'm gliding,
- 10:29Speaker 1: but I got hit up against the rock. I can
- 10:31Speaker 1: see more. I get a chance to see more things.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I get to glide and see more parts of the world.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm living my dream. The pass shote open, your pass
- 10:40Speaker 1: shoote is gonna open. But I'll tell you one thing
- 10:43Speaker 1: for sure, it will never open if you don't step
- 10:45Speaker 1: off that cliff. You got to step off that cliff,
- 10:48Speaker 1: got to get the passchute open for you. But you
- 10:51Speaker 1: got to jump. Baby. That's the hard part, ain't it not?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Question is the end of this story right here today,
- 10:56Speaker 1: when you're jumping, you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. This
- 11:02Speaker 1: is to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Today. I would dedicate
- 11:06Speaker 1: this entire show from me to you as a guilt.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I am going to give you nothing but total ignorance.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Tommy will be today required to be the straight man,
- 11:20Speaker 1: as difficult as that may be. I'm going to see
- 11:24Speaker 1: he can talk. He just said, I'm gonna see it.
- 11:31Speaker 1: He can reel it back in and allow me the
- 11:34Speaker 1: space to be ignorant. Today, Shirley will provide massive doses
- 11:40Speaker 1: of laughter and will call it Genior. Will be here
- 11:44Speaker 1: in utter disbelief at the things I have said. In
- 11:50Speaker 1: that high pitched voice, ladies and gentlemen. This is the
- 11:56Speaker 1: moaning show. Hey, what's up, Steve? How you doing? I'm good,
- 12:02Speaker 1: I'm good. Color Hey Steve, what up? Crew Junior? Morning
- 12:08Speaker 1: out to chat? To go deep? Didn't work? Tomb uncle,
- 12:18Speaker 1: Steve straight man, I am there you go? All right,
- 12:21Speaker 1: Let the eat this begin. How y'all wanted hey embarrass
- 12:26Speaker 1: me any more? Roach stores? After yesterday with the roach story,
- 12:36Speaker 1: hall my phone up man, text messages, Yeah, pictures are roaches.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Everybody was talking about that yesterday, Steve. Well, we had
- 12:48Speaker 1: a strawberry letter about a woman who was dating a
- 12:51Speaker 1: man with a lot who had a roach infestation in
- 12:53Speaker 1: his house. And then you went on to tell about
- 12:56Speaker 1: some of your childhood roach stories, and they were hilarious.
- 13:01Speaker 1: We all have them, maybe not to that degree. No,
- 13:04Speaker 1: I've been up a partner's house that had mice the
- 13:07Speaker 1: same damn weight. Oh, not as many as roaches, but
- 13:11Speaker 1: the equivalent. Though. See once you see faux mice, that's
- 13:19Speaker 1: like seeing a hunted roaches. I would have made it
- 13:23Speaker 1: for mice is equivalent. But I kid you not, I
- 13:26Speaker 1: said in his living room, I kid you not. Man,
- 13:30Speaker 1: at minimum fifty fifty mice? What at minimum no, I'm
- 13:39Speaker 1: listening to me like it was a damn convention. What
- 13:45Speaker 1: they mean? Oh god geez. Okay, Okay, I'm gonna tell
- 13:52Speaker 1: you the story. I'll tell you the story when we
- 13:56Speaker 1: come back in rights me, don't Mr Rat convention. When
- 14:02Speaker 1: we come back, they're meeting about cheese. We'll be back
- 14:05Speaker 1: at thirty two after Okay, Swiss cheese, shatter cheese. What
- 14:15Speaker 1: city was theand Carlin, it wasn't Cleveland? No, not a
- 14:20Speaker 1: My story happened in Melphis. Oh it is? And the
- 14:25Speaker 1: road story was what city that was? That was Cleveland?
- 14:28Speaker 1: I'ma to change some names to all right, We'll be
- 14:34Speaker 1: back at thirty two after the hour with with the
- 14:40Speaker 1: mice story. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:46Speaker 1: This is our time for something funny. Uh Steve has
- 14:49Speaker 1: uh my story, a story about mice out of Memphis.
- 14:53Speaker 1: But some names have been changed to protect the innocent.
- 14:56Speaker 1: As we are. Yeah, yeah, I was act wasn't in
- 15:01Speaker 1: the business. Loan had a friend of mine that lived
- 15:04Speaker 1: in Memphis. This guy and so I had checked into
- 15:08Speaker 1: a hotel down there. But it was like really really
- 15:13Speaker 1: messed up. It was only like you know, fourteen dollars
- 15:16Speaker 1: a night. You know, that was outside right there, and
- 15:20Speaker 1: so yeah, yeah, I can see the car. Call up.
- 15:26Speaker 1: So I called him on his house phone. I said, hey, man,
- 15:30Speaker 1: I'm in a bad but he said, come on over
- 15:32Speaker 1: to the house. Man, My mom and arm they don't mind,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you know, they love you yourself. Something to eat. So
- 15:37Speaker 1: I got over there about ten thirty. His mama and
- 15:40Speaker 1: him in the bed, his brother on the couch sleep.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I'm in the kitchen with him, were eating. So he said, hey, man,
- 15:48Speaker 1: just enjoy yourself. I'm going out. I said, man, I
- 15:51Speaker 1: gotta get up early in the morning, like about five
- 15:53Speaker 1: in the morning. Get back out on this road. I
- 15:55Speaker 1: got to drive somewhere. He said, no problem, man, you
- 15:59Speaker 1: can stay my sister's bed because she gone. So I'm
- 16:03Speaker 1: in her sister bed, a little bit of twin bed.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And I hit the naises and my suitcases on the
- 16:10Speaker 1: floor there and I look and a mouse crawls out
- 16:13Speaker 1: of my suitcase. Now I got to get up and unpack.
- 16:16Speaker 1: It's about one thirty. I got to unpack your suitcase open. Yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 1: I wasn't thinking another how the hell I know? So
- 16:24Speaker 1: now I got to unpack, shake out everything, make sure
- 16:27Speaker 1: I ain't got no mice in this luggage because I
- 16:29Speaker 1: can't put this in my car because I live in it,
- 16:32Speaker 1: which you can't live in is a mice infested car. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: and I'm just driving the cross country. I'm committing felons.
- 16:45Speaker 1: So I get up and I said, man, let me
- 16:48Speaker 1: go in the living room. Man, what the hell going on?
- 16:51Speaker 1: So I go in the living room and I'm in
- 16:53Speaker 1: a I'm in a I'm in a chair and I
- 16:56Speaker 1: hit it scratching by my head and I turned around
- 16:59Speaker 1: and it's a mouse on the top of the lazy
- 17:03Speaker 1: board chair by my head. Oh my god. Now I
- 17:07Speaker 1: just stood straight up out of damn. Didn't touch the ceiling,
- 17:12Speaker 1: and I had gnawed off. So that's about one thirty
- 17:14Speaker 1: in the morning. Now, now, my boy he gone out.
- 17:17Speaker 1: So I set up and I noticed this mouse run
- 17:19Speaker 1: across the float from under the couch to this big
- 17:22Speaker 1: round coffee table the head in the middle that was
- 17:24Speaker 1: made out of fur, but you could go up on this.
- 17:27Speaker 1: So I saw this mouse run up under the t
- 17:30Speaker 1: I said, man, it's one on the back of the chair,
- 17:32Speaker 1: one on the table. I said, what I'm any damn
- 17:35Speaker 1: might sitting here. So then the mouse just shot across
- 17:37Speaker 1: the TV, just laying across the damn TV, this flow model.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So I got he had a fold await chair against
- 17:46Speaker 1: the wall, you know the metal fold await chairs. They
- 17:48Speaker 1: have a church. So I got a metal fold away
- 17:51Speaker 1: chair and put it up, and I got another one
- 17:54Speaker 1: from my feet to get up in, and I put
- 17:55Speaker 1: my foot up in his chair. I swear to God,
- 17:59Speaker 1: I'm not lying to you at all. Damn damn mice
- 18:04Speaker 1: was everywhere. They started running across the floor. I said, man,
- 18:10Speaker 1: is it one thirty? Is it is this? The prime
- 18:14Speaker 1: is gonna ask him about that. They was running across
- 18:17Speaker 1: the floor. Man. They was crawling all up on the
- 18:20Speaker 1: backs of the chairs. And I look up on top
- 18:22Speaker 1: of the curtain and it's two mice on top of
- 18:24Speaker 1: the curtain. So I look at the curtains and the
- 18:27Speaker 1: curtains is moving. The mice is crawling up the back
- 18:30Speaker 1: of the curtains, up on the top rod. Now his
- 18:34Speaker 1: brother is on his brother brother. No, no, no, no, no, no, yeah. Yeah.
- 18:42Speaker 1: My boy's brother was on the couch sleep his little brother.
- 18:45Speaker 1: He's sixteen. The mice all over the couch. They on
- 18:50Speaker 1: his show. He ain't woke up I'm looking at it.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I'm so scared for this boy. I said, Man, it's
- 18:58Speaker 1: actually enough of a motor. They could really start eating
- 19:01Speaker 1: your way now, you'd be able to get him in
- 19:04Speaker 1: time because there's just mice, but these mics, and I
- 19:08Speaker 1: kid y'all not. I've never seen nothing like it in
- 19:11Speaker 1: my life. And I had my feet up in the
- 19:13Speaker 1: Foloway check because I'm going, man, what the hell is
- 19:16Speaker 1: going on? And my eyes is burning because I can't
- 19:20Speaker 1: blink because I can't take my eyes off there my eyes.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But if I ever needed visine I needed. I was mortified.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Mice was running across that float, climbing up on this
- 19:35Speaker 1: couch over there on that boy shoulder then that not me,
- 19:38Speaker 1: and I just see him brush something. There ain't no
- 19:41Speaker 1: fly brushing like them as mosquito. Wake your ass something
- 19:48Speaker 1: to help me through this. Help. So I wanted to
- 19:52Speaker 1: wake him up, man, because I needed some help to
- 19:54Speaker 1: understand this. I'm telling you, man, I've never seen that
- 19:57Speaker 1: many mice in my life. What I mean, They're just
- 20:00Speaker 1: running back and forth all on over the furniture, across
- 20:04Speaker 1: the TV. So about two thirty five in the morning,
- 20:07Speaker 1: about three I've been up the whole time. I ain't
- 20:11Speaker 1: slept with we. I'm scared to take my foot off
- 20:14Speaker 1: the chair. Yeah, the key stick in the dough. It's
- 20:19Speaker 1: my boy. He coming back in. He put the key
- 20:22Speaker 1: in the door and turned the lock. He opened it door. Hey, man,
- 20:28Speaker 1: what's happening? What a mouse? No, damn, you can't explain it.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Don't even I'm looking at him, man, he said, He say,
- 20:42Speaker 1: he's a love. What's happening? Man? I said, you know
- 20:45Speaker 1: what the hell happening? He said, what's wrong? I said, man,
- 20:50Speaker 1: you see hate a mouse? I smell you're looking over
- 20:58Speaker 1: what I They are all up on the curtain curtains.
- 21:02Speaker 1: A man, they've been running up on the mouse. No, damn, brother,
- 21:10Speaker 1: sleep like a nothing wrong. About three thirty three or
- 21:14Speaker 1: three o'clock in the morning, he came and he said, yeah, bro,
- 21:17Speaker 1: I'm huggers here. You want something to eat? Boy, I said,
- 21:24Speaker 1: tell you what I'm gonna do. Man, I'm gonna get
- 21:25Speaker 1: in my car. I got to take off. Man, I
- 21:28Speaker 1: got a hit in the breast. Oh man, I thought
- 21:30Speaker 1: you're gonna leave a little bit late. Don't worry about that.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna sleep in my damn car, and I need
- 21:34Speaker 1: to get my car to driveway because they probably climbed
- 21:37Speaker 1: up there. Right. All right, look coming up next, we
- 21:45Speaker 1: got the nephew in the building. We've run that prank
- 21:47Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 21:53Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. Miss Sanna's
- 21:55Speaker 1: going to be here with our national news for today.
- 21:57Speaker 1: A lot going on in the world and in the
- 22:00Speaker 1: country right now it is time for the nephew in
- 22:03Speaker 1: spring phone call, run that brank. Yes, let's get serious here, Shirley.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'm the straight guy today. The day is Weed in
- 22:08Speaker 1: the Church Van, Weed in the church Van. Thank you?
- 22:12Speaker 1: How long that? No? About three more minutes. He's killing me.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I don't like the assignment I've been giving the day.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I can't believe what time me the straight guy Weed
- 22:27Speaker 1: in the Church Band. Let's go. Hello, I'm trying to
- 22:34Speaker 1: reach dand Brother Brother Dan Dad, Hello, Hello, because I'm
- 22:40Speaker 1: trying to brother Dad brother d Okay, Yeah, this brother
- 22:45Speaker 1: Scott from the Church and Belt the Baptist. Hello, Yeah,
- 22:50Speaker 1: I call you. I'm I'm trying to get a little
- 22:52Speaker 1: information about the church band. What's what's your schedule? Uh?
- 22:56Speaker 1: Will you drive a church and what's what's your schedule, Uh, Wednesday,
- 23:02Speaker 1: Fridays and Sundays. Okay, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, last Sunday. What
- 23:09Speaker 1: what is that schedule? O? Sunday. I usually start about
- 23:13Speaker 1: eight o'clock in the morning, probably a little earlier, depending
- 23:16Speaker 1: on some of the elderly people that I had to
- 23:18Speaker 1: go pick up and bring to the church, make sure
- 23:20Speaker 1: they get there okay, and get situated and make sure
- 23:24Speaker 1: they're on time for the service and whatnot, okay, and
- 23:27Speaker 1: then you take them back home after services over. Yes,
- 23:32Speaker 1: I try to get all of them back home, unless
- 23:33Speaker 1: they got family members or something that come up there
- 23:35Speaker 1: and meet them up there and want to take them
- 23:37Speaker 1: to Jena on Sunday afterwards. But I usually get about
- 23:40Speaker 1: it back home okay. Okay. Yeah, this class Sunday, which
- 23:46Speaker 1: is part of the reason why I'm calling me. Ah,
- 23:49Speaker 1: they're saying that some of the church uh members that
- 23:53Speaker 1: was on the ban in this Sunday Uh, they are
- 23:57Speaker 1: complaining saying that that the church van was spending like
- 24:01Speaker 1: weed when they got on there. Excuse me, they say,
- 24:05Speaker 1: the church van, we're spending like weed when they got
- 24:09Speaker 1: on there. And you are the person that was driving. No, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 24:14Speaker 1: not not not the van that that I'm driving. So
- 24:17Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't I ain't smoke weed, and
- 24:19Speaker 1: no van do you smoke weeds? I don't smoke weed.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I mean not currently. I mean I have before, but
- 24:28Speaker 1: I don't smoke weed now and I wouldn't smoke weed before.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Picking some people love to go to Now where are
- 24:36Speaker 1: you from? Who told you this? Well? All I know
- 24:40Speaker 1: is what what? What's coming down the pipeline is. They're
- 24:42Speaker 1: saying that that A couple of the members came complaining
- 24:47Speaker 1: this just happened last week about this pipeline. Don't want
- 24:50Speaker 1: to know who the pipeline is because just last week
- 24:53Speaker 1: they came and me talking about that. I I was
- 24:55Speaker 1: using the van to go places that I wanted to
- 24:57Speaker 1: go to all my personal time. Now I don't do that.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I don't do stuff like that. And now I haven't
- 25:01Speaker 1: had a past, I haven't had a history, but I
- 25:03Speaker 1: don't do stuff like that. And I wouldn't smoke in
- 25:05Speaker 1: no church van. So are you seriously talking to what? What? What? What? What? What?
- 25:10Speaker 1: We're trying to We're trying to get to the bottom
- 25:12Speaker 1: of it and see what's going on with you. The
- 25:16Speaker 1: elderly person said, do you know which one? I don't know?
- 25:19Speaker 1: They love me? Every Sunday, didn't people tell me they
- 25:22Speaker 1: love me? Uh? They say, I'm one of the most
- 25:24Speaker 1: respectful young gentlemen they've ever met in their life. And
- 25:26Speaker 1: so I really find it hard to believe that you
- 25:28Speaker 1: you you getting these types of complaints about me what
- 25:32Speaker 1: I'm saying to me like oh, we I don't know
- 25:34Speaker 1: what that means or nothing like that. Look, brothers, I
- 25:37Speaker 1: don't know you too well, and I know you don't
- 25:40Speaker 1: know me. But I've been driving this van as as
- 25:43Speaker 1: as a point to try to change my life and
- 25:45Speaker 1: where I come from. So this was with something that
- 25:47Speaker 1: I wanted to volunteer even though I'm getting paid to
- 25:50Speaker 1: give my time to do this for the church. And
- 25:52Speaker 1: now this is like the second instance where y'all and
- 25:55Speaker 1: came at me on some stuff about like I'm trying
- 25:57Speaker 1: to do something with this van. Now why would I
- 25:59Speaker 1: This was stake the church man by smoking weed in
- 26:01Speaker 1: it and then letting the weed stay in there so
- 26:03Speaker 1: other people can smell it. Okay, So let me tell
- 26:06Speaker 1: you what we're gonna do. We're gonna go out here
- 26:09Speaker 1: to the church they had to say, we're gonna go
- 26:11Speaker 1: out here today and open it up. Now, if we
- 26:13Speaker 1: see any seeds or anything around the driver's seat, then
- 26:18Speaker 1: that then then we're gonna We're gonna definitely uh a point,
- 26:22Speaker 1: open the van up. Man. I was raising that church. Man,
- 26:24Speaker 1: My mama go to that church, my grandma. See you
- 26:27Speaker 1: go to that church. See the reason we even all
- 26:29Speaker 1: left that church. And you think I'm gonna mess up
- 26:31Speaker 1: They ain't by driving around in the band fool of
- 26:34Speaker 1: elderly people smoking weed. But Dad, I don't know how
- 26:39Speaker 1: to band smell like weed. Man, Now I don't. I
- 26:43Speaker 1: don't got the answers to these questions. I'm just trying
- 26:45Speaker 1: to tell you that it wasn't me. Did you have
- 26:47Speaker 1: some weed in your pocket and lit it with your swelling?
- 26:50Speaker 1: I ain't had no weed on me. Stop trying to
- 26:52Speaker 1: say like I had weed on and you ain't gonna
- 26:55Speaker 1: get me nothing that I had no and we ain't
- 26:57Speaker 1: had no weed on me. Okay, Now, you ain't gonna
- 26:59Speaker 1: mess up my name, on our family's name in this
- 27:01Speaker 1: church and disrespect us like this. Now, We've been helping
- 27:04Speaker 1: this church for years, and I'm trying to tell you
- 27:06Speaker 1: that I ain't riding around and no fans smoking no
- 27:09Speaker 1: weed with no elderly people. Did you ask any of
- 27:11Speaker 1: the elderly people if they had any weed on them? Uh?
- 27:14Speaker 1: Uh No, we didn't know. No, I didn't think about
- 27:18Speaker 1: no elderly people having no weed. So you just assume
- 27:21Speaker 1: it's me what one of them? Guy got coma or something? What? What?
- 27:26Speaker 1: What you know? What? You know? Who? I think? What?
- 27:28Speaker 1: Did you know? Who I think the weed belonged to? Oh?
- 27:31Speaker 1: I think I think the weed belong and a few
- 27:34Speaker 1: times from the Steve Harvean this show. What the damn
- 27:45Speaker 1: you just got preak? Oh my god, you just got preak?
- 27:50Speaker 1: What is just his name is brother? Uh? Brother Lawrence?
- 27:55Speaker 1: Lawrence Lawrence? Uh Larry Larry. Tell Larry Arry here in
- 28:09Speaker 1: trouble with me? But hit him with the van man.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I got one more thing that I got one more
- 28:18Speaker 1: thing to ask you, man, what is the saddest and
- 28:21Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the land, Man
- 28:26Speaker 1: Steve Hard Morning Man, go No rich Man going on
- 28:34Speaker 1: the chill out the rest of the day. I tried, Man,
- 28:36Speaker 1: I know I ain't gonna smoke no weed. That is
- 28:41Speaker 1: you can get that. That's by my new CD right there.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I won't to do it. I'm breaking church people. You
- 28:44Speaker 1: understand that, don't you? No, I don't know. It's part
- 28:48Speaker 1: of it. You gotta crank church people. Where can I
- 28:50Speaker 1: get this new CD? In Walmart? Oh? I did good?
- 28:53Speaker 1: Did did I? How did that sound? I don't know?
- 28:59Speaker 1: It was soft and quaw. If you weren't franking church people,
- 29:04Speaker 1: maybe they can pray for you to get them ages off,
- 29:12Speaker 1: to get you to last, to last. Hey, Tommy, just
- 29:16Speaker 1: real fast, say it now, say it it won't. That's
- 29:24Speaker 1: how I used to do it when he was little
- 29:26Speaker 1: and then here scared self. My dad He used to say, honey, boy, stupid,
- 29:33Speaker 1: I gotta get serious. Stop stop stop y'all laughing at
- 29:35Speaker 1: me too much. Look. I may not can say mybes,
- 29:36Speaker 1: but I bet you I can say this that the
- 29:38Speaker 1: nep You're gonna be in Baltimore, Maryland. I bet you

- 29:46Speaker 1: Nephew is coming to town. One show Thursday, Who shows Friday?

- 30:23Speaker 1: No w is allowed. Comedy factors get tickets. They don't
- 30:26Speaker 1: see written at Um, we're gonna have more of today's
- 30:29Speaker 1: national news, our top stories. Students turning grief into action
- 30:33Speaker 1: in Florida. They don't want any more school shootings, and
- 30:36Speaker 1: neither Dewey. Um, we'll be back with miss Anne. You're
- 30:40Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yesterday, massacre survivors
- 30:46Speaker 1: from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School marched, UH the hashtag
- 30:51Speaker 1: never again marched to Florida State Capitol and Tallahassee all So.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Also last night, there was a town meeting on CNN
- 30:59Speaker 1: while powerful Uh. There were students, teachers, political leaders, and
- 31:03Speaker 1: a representative from the n r A. One representative her
- 31:06Speaker 1: name was Dana Lesh from the n R A Republican
- 31:09Speaker 1: Senator Mark Rubio, they were all in attendance President Trump.
- 31:13Speaker 1: He directed Justice Department to draft a ban on bump
- 31:17Speaker 1: stocks device that makes it easier to fire rounds quicker. Uh.
- 31:21Speaker 1: This was the same device shoes in the Vegas mash
- 31:24Speaker 1: shooting back in October. Back to the students, um, just,
- 31:30Speaker 1: bump stocks do not affect the sales of guns or
- 31:34Speaker 1: rifles at all. It's an aftermarket product. It's like the gun,
- 31:39Speaker 1: then you buy that, then you buy the bumps. It's
- 31:41Speaker 1: like you buy realms for your call. Back to the students,
- 31:45Speaker 1: these unbelievably just so bright, so articulate, so smart students.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Um he listen, take a listen. Here's what one of
- 31:54Speaker 1: them had to say. We're just kids. I know myself.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I'm only sixteen, I'm a junior. You're in high school.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Most of my worries are what show am I going
- 32:03Speaker 1: to watch at six pm? What when do I do
- 32:06Speaker 1: my homework? How do I fit in rehearsals for theater?
- 32:09Speaker 1: I know, for my other colleagues at sports or maybe film.
- 32:13Speaker 1: But everybody needs to remember we are just children. A
- 32:17Speaker 1: lot of people think that that disqualifies us from even
- 32:21Speaker 1: having an opinion on this sort of matter, as if
- 32:23Speaker 1: maybe because we've been through a traumatic experience, that we
- 32:26Speaker 1: don't know what we're talking about, that we're speaking irrationally,
- 32:29Speaker 1: And I want everybody to remember that is not the case.
- 32:33Speaker 1: We more than anybody else, understand the violence that comes
- 32:37Speaker 1: through certain guns. We more than anybody else understand what
- 32:41Speaker 1: it feels like to lose somebody. We more than anybody
- 32:45Speaker 1: else understand Sorry, it's difficult to talk about this sort
- 32:50Speaker 1: of thing. The way people today have greeted us or
- 32:54Speaker 1: not greeted us, is that we aren't being taken seriously enough. Now.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I personally don't know the steps that we're gonna have
- 33:03Speaker 1: to take, but once we figure that out, we're gonna
- 33:05Speaker 1: take them, and you better believe we're gonna take them
- 33:07Speaker 1: as soon as possible. We are old enough to understand
- 33:10Speaker 1: financial responsibilities. We're old enough to understand why a senator
- 33:14Speaker 1: cares about re election or not. We are old enough
- 33:17Speaker 1: to understand why someone might want to discredit us for
- 33:19Speaker 1: their own political purposes. But we will not be silenced.
- 33:23Speaker 1: It has gone on long enough that we, just because
- 33:27Speaker 1: we are kids, were not allowed to understand. But trust me,
- 33:30Speaker 1: I understand. I was in a closet, looked for four hours,
- 33:35Speaker 1: with people who I would consider almost family, crying and
- 33:39Speaker 1: weeping on me, begging for their lives. I understand what
- 33:44Speaker 1: it's like to text my parents goodbye. I might never
- 33:47Speaker 1: ever get to see you again. I love you. I
- 33:50Speaker 1: understand what it's like to fear for your life. But
- 33:54Speaker 1: it's going to happen, and it's going to happen before
- 33:57Speaker 1: in my lifetime because I will fight every single day,
- 34:00Speaker 1: and I know everyone else here will fight for the
- 34:03Speaker 1: rest of their lives to see sensible gun laws in
- 34:05Speaker 1: this country and so that kids don't have to fear
- 34:08Speaker 1: going back to school. Because I want everybody to know
- 34:11Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be going back to school in less
- 34:13Speaker 1: than a week. I'm not ready. I don't think anybody
- 34:15Speaker 1: here is ready. I don't think anybody here is ready
- 34:18Speaker 1: to go back to class and just have an empty seat.
- 34:21Speaker 1: And you know that that empty seat is because because
- 34:24Speaker 1: someone's someone's dead, because somebody lost their lives, and I
- 34:31Speaker 1: don't know how I'm gonna cope with it. See now,
- 34:33Speaker 1: that's what I'm talking about, Because this this generation is
- 34:37Speaker 1: gonna be the one to change. It's because you're right.
- 34:41Speaker 1: They're very smart. They're educated. They can google the facts.
- 34:45Speaker 1: They know who took court from the n I A
- 34:48Speaker 1: that little boy talking about he don't know if you're
- 34:50Speaker 1: ready to go back to school because there's a chair missing.
- 34:53Speaker 1: There's a body not in a chair, and we know
- 34:56Speaker 1: why because they did. Y'all com else if you want to,
- 35:01Speaker 1: But we're gonna be voting in two years. You're gonna
- 35:04Speaker 1: be out. This is the generation that will make the
- 35:08Speaker 1: change because they're sick and tired of it. Absolutely all right,
- 35:13Speaker 1: Well let's get some more effects on this, ladies, and gentleman,
- 35:16Speaker 1: the voice of reason, the very only that's saying trip.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Thank you very much, Stephen. Good morning everybody out there.
- 35:21Speaker 1: This is entered with the news. That's absolutely right. High
- 35:23Speaker 1: school students from around the Washington d c. Area walked
- 35:27Speaker 1: out of school yesterday and rallied outside the White House
- 35:30Speaker 1: and support the students in Parkland, Florida, in the wake
- 35:32Speaker 1: of last week's massacre. They were demanding federal action on
- 35:36Speaker 1: gun control and trying to take away your Second Amendment rights.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Nor am I trying to eliminate all guns. But we
- 35:41Speaker 1: cannot protect our guns before we protect our children. It
- 35:45Speaker 1: is time for lawmakers to realize that we are no
- 35:48Speaker 1: longer asking to be heard, but that we are demanding it,
- 35:51Speaker 1: and then in a couple of years it's significant and
- 35:54Speaker 1: effective change does not come, we will use the power
- 35:57Speaker 1: of our vote. And many others held up handmade signs
- 36:00Speaker 1: enchanted about the National Rifle Association. Yeah yeah, and hey,
- 36:09Speaker 1: hey ho ho. The n r A has got to go. Meanwhile,
- 36:12Speaker 1: about a hundred Parkland, Florida high school students who walk
- 36:15Speaker 1: the halls of the Tallahassee Legislature yesterday urging elected officials
- 36:19Speaker 1: there to propose anti firearms measures. That's despite the fact
- 36:22Speaker 1: that in recent years Florida's mostly Republican legislature has only
- 36:26Speaker 1: voted to expand gun rights and not retard them. The
- 36:28Speaker 1: movement's called never Again. There may be at least some
- 36:31Speaker 1: changes comings and minor ones. GOP leaders in the Sunshine
- 36:34Speaker 1: States House and Senate, along with Florida's Governor Rick Scott,
- 36:37Speaker 1: now say they're working on proposals that would tighten some
- 36:40Speaker 1: of the state's gun laws, like one that would raise
- 36:42Speaker 1: the age for purchasing weapons to twenty one. Also proposals
- 36:45Speaker 1: to strengthen background checks and to allow police to take
- 36:48Speaker 1: guns away from people considered threats. By the way, the
- 36:50Speaker 1: presidents said to the people at his listening session, what
- 36:54Speaker 1: about having teachers and everyone else in school carry a gun.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Most of the parents said, no, that's worse. That just
- 36:59Speaker 1: exact serbase the problem. Okay, The numbers on Black Panthers
- 37:02Speaker 1: keep getting bigger. They now say the Afro centric superhero
- 37:05Speaker 1: flick has born in four hundred and four four four
- 37:08Speaker 1: and four million dollars worldwide, with movie goers flocking to
- 37:11Speaker 1: the theaters in the UK, Belgium, the Ukraine, South Korea,
- 37:15Speaker 1: Mexico and Brazil. Black Panther now set for release up
- 37:19Speaker 1: to Russia, China and Japan. And believe it or not,
- 37:21Speaker 1: the UK has a chicken shortage, specifically Southern fried chicken.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Afcason ran out of chicken and closed the restaurants. And
- 37:28Speaker 1: the Brits really love their fried chicken. They've been calling
- 37:30Speaker 1: the cops and everything. Back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:33Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show, all right, So
- 37:37Speaker 1: just to continue this conversation, I mean, and it's one
- 37:40Speaker 1: that should be had, you know. Um, thank God for
- 37:43Speaker 1: these young people. Yeah, that really Um, they've been marching,
- 37:47Speaker 1: they've been holding town hall meetings. The survivors from the
- 37:51Speaker 1: Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. They have
- 37:55Speaker 1: a lot to say and they want to be heard,
- 37:57Speaker 1: and in a couple of years, they really want to
- 38:00Speaker 1: be heard with their vote. They're doing what's called the
- 38:03Speaker 1: Never Again March. They have another march plan for march
- 38:06Speaker 1: to Washington, UH to talk about the same issue. And
- 38:10Speaker 1: here's some more of what the students had to say,
- 38:13Speaker 1: so that they will not dismiss us any longer, so
- 38:15Speaker 1: they won't reschedule, so they won't push us into another
- 38:18Speaker 1: room as they dance around our questions. Because we came
- 38:20Speaker 1: here prepared and we're going to come to every single
- 38:23Speaker 1: meeting with every single legislator prepared. We know what we want.
- 38:26Speaker 1: We want gun reform. We want common sense gun laws.
- 38:29Speaker 1: We want stronger mental health checks and background checks to
- 38:32Speaker 1: work in conjunction. We want a better age limit. We
- 38:34Speaker 1: want privatized selling to be completely reformed so you can't
- 38:36Speaker 1: just walk into a building with a hundred and thirty
- 38:38Speaker 1: dollars and walk out with an a R fifteen. We
- 38:40Speaker 1: want change, and we know how to get this change
- 38:43Speaker 1: because we didn't fail. The people around us failed us.
- 38:46Speaker 1: And if they continue to fail us, and they will
- 38:48Speaker 1: no longer be in office, because soon we will be
- 38:50Speaker 1: given the ability to vote and we will vote them out,
- 38:53Speaker 1: and the people around us will vote them out. They
- 38:55Speaker 1: must do right by us or they will lose their jobs.
- 38:57Speaker 1: And we have brought that up to them time and
- 38:59Speaker 1: time again, because this is no longer a chance for
- 39:02Speaker 1: you to just dismiss us, for you to ignore us
- 39:04Speaker 1: and keep doing whatever it is that you want to
- 39:06Speaker 1: do while telling us that you want us to be
- 39:08Speaker 1: safe and you don't want anything to happen like this again,
- 39:10Speaker 1: but not taking any action. They are going to vote
- 39:14Speaker 1: them out, yeah, big. They mean it when they say
- 39:19Speaker 1: they want change, They really really yeah, and they want
- 39:22Speaker 1: to be heard. On one hand, yes, they are just kids,
- 39:26Speaker 1: but on the other hand, these are the ones that
- 39:27Speaker 1: could make the very difference in change in this country
- 39:30Speaker 1: when it comes to our gun laws. This is it. Yeah,
- 39:33Speaker 1: these kids are gonna get it done. Yeah, what were
- 39:36Speaker 1: you saying, Carlor The lawmakers they wanted to debate on
- 39:41Speaker 1: porn being dangerous, Yes, this is assault rifles. Well, see
- 39:47Speaker 1: that's the political move. Let's act like something else is
- 39:51Speaker 1: on the agenda, so we don't have to address that
- 39:54Speaker 1: while they're here. Take the focus off. They don't want
- 39:57Speaker 1: to deal with it. They just deflect. Did they changed
- 40:01Speaker 1: the narrative like that? But they messing with these kids
- 40:04Speaker 1: who got time. See, these senators ain't got the time.
- 40:08Speaker 1: These cats got kids. They have more experience than him.
- 40:14Speaker 1: But them kids gonna figure out because let me tell
- 40:15Speaker 1: you something, this is simply money and power. They're not
- 40:20Speaker 1: willing to give up either one of them. But there
- 40:22Speaker 1: is a way you can take both of them from him.
- 40:24Speaker 1: The vote, that's all. The vote is bigger than the
- 40:28Speaker 1: power and the money. And they have a great motivation.
- 40:32Speaker 1: You kill my friend, that's right. There you go. There,
- 40:35Speaker 1: you go, boy, But your comeback is porn. All right.
- 40:41Speaker 1: We'll be talking about this all morning, of course, and
- 40:44Speaker 1: when we come back, some sad news to report for
- 40:46Speaker 1: Wendy Williams. We'll be back at after you're listening to
- 40:51Speaker 1: show wow, some really sad news for Wendy Williams. We
- 40:56Speaker 1: all know her, of course from radio and now she's
- 40:59Speaker 1: a big TV star in the daytime. Wendy is taking
- 41:03Speaker 1: several weeks off from her daytime TV talk show, and
- 41:07Speaker 1: this is on doctor's orders. Now she's got to deal
- 41:10Speaker 1: with the medical crisis related to hyperthyroidism. We remember a
- 41:14Speaker 1: few weeks back. I don't know if you see see
- 41:22Speaker 1: I don't have it. Okay, I'm just gonna tell you.
- 41:26Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tell you that. Right back to Wendy,
- 41:30Speaker 1: you can't even say it's w's Wendy announced at the
- 41:34Speaker 1: top of Wednesday show. Say that you can't say it. Yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 1: Wendy announced that the well she's suffering from Graves disease
- 41:42Speaker 1: a very serious disease. Uh, it's an immune system disorder.
- 41:46Speaker 1: She says, one of the symptoms affects the muscles behind
- 41:49Speaker 1: her eyeballs. Would she then, of course, try to turn
- 41:52Speaker 1: into a joke. Um. It sounds like from what we
- 41:56Speaker 1: know right now, that she's going to be okay. But
- 41:58Speaker 1: her doctor does say that she immediately needs to take
- 42:01Speaker 1: three weeks off for vacation. Ahead. You're gonna get your nephew,
- 42:09Speaker 1: Mr Harvey. You're gonna get him. You're gonna allow him.
- 42:12Speaker 1: You're gonna allow him to talk about my eyes. It's like, no,
- 42:14Speaker 1: I'm not allowing him. I don't disease. You want me
- 42:18Speaker 1: to stop. Yeah, okay, but she stopped talking about the story.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Isn't about Sherley, No, it's about when I just told
- 42:27Speaker 1: you she has Graves disease. She's a medical crisis. Her
- 42:30Speaker 1: doctor has ordered her to take three weeks off, and
- 42:32Speaker 1: Wendy says, so you have to take about two weeks off?
- 42:36Speaker 1: She No, she's gonna have to take medication. Things like that?
- 42:42Speaker 1: Is he ignorant? For real? Yeah? What? How does she
- 42:45Speaker 1: roll high? But you thought you thought he was joking, shy,
- 42:50Speaker 1: I'm not a lowful words here. Huh? Did you not
- 42:54Speaker 1: hear me say it's an immune system disorder? It has
- 42:58Speaker 1: something to do with your immune system. Okay, So if
- 43:03Speaker 1: you have anre thyroid, it causes a hormonal imbalance because
- 43:09Speaker 1: to my understanding, it regulates your hormones or something to
- 43:13Speaker 1: your pituitary glass. It wasn't difference between hemoroid and thy
- 43:17Speaker 1: roid the two roids. The thyroid, like you say, is
- 43:21Speaker 1: in your thigh and your hemorroids is somewhere around the
- 43:25Speaker 1: him of your garment. Hemroids should be asteroid, though I've
- 43:35Speaker 1: made that point the folk, but hemeroid should be an asteroid.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I don't care what nobody's thinking, and Wendy would be
- 43:41Speaker 1: feeling a lot better she had an asteroid and opposed
- 43:43Speaker 1: to the thyroid, wouldn't she might have asteroids. Have to
- 43:48Speaker 1: have y'all looked about I have in my heart for
- 43:52Speaker 1: you right now cannot be expressed. This is serious, Tommy.
- 43:59Speaker 1: As to being said, Steve ain't saying not by Steve,
- 44:07Speaker 1: though you want to. But grapes disease. It is that
- 44:12Speaker 1: disease when you do see people, you see people. What
- 44:17Speaker 1: never mind I say that because you're gonna start talking
- 44:19Speaker 1: about my eyes. Just say I'm well, you know sometimes
- 44:24Speaker 1: when you see people, some people and their eyes look
- 44:27Speaker 1: like they're bugging or they're coming out. Okay, that's kind
- 44:30Speaker 1: of um related to this. That's one of the symptoms
- 44:33Speaker 1: of grapes, But not that you don't have it. So
- 44:36Speaker 1: what you got because her bug been bugging? What her eyes? Yes,
- 44:44Speaker 1: you file, you can't say that. You don't. You're right
- 44:49Speaker 1: cross room, look at I'm looking at and Steve is
- 44:53Speaker 1: awfully quiet right now, and you better stay quiet because well,
- 44:57Speaker 1: what I've learned to do is I don't make any
- 44:59Speaker 1: comment it's about Wendy Williams. No, I would prefer to
- 45:03Speaker 1: not make any about me, So I just stay away
- 45:06Speaker 1: from all things. I do. Wish her wail with her
- 45:09Speaker 1: health and everything. I want her to healthy. Well Carlin Aska,
- 45:18Speaker 1: how are you doing? Oh, we can see how she do.
- 45:22Speaker 1: So it was so many stupid things that have been
- 45:28Speaker 1: said in like the last few minutes of this show. Wow,
- 45:32Speaker 1: how you all right? Look, we'll we'll be back with
- 45:39Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I think you
- 45:40Speaker 1: have a prank phone call coming up? You got iro
- 45:45Speaker 1: you're listening to Stry Morning Show. I think we've all
- 45:49Speaker 1: gotten ourselves together now coming up at the top of
- 45:53Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after today's Strawberry letter,
- 45:57Speaker 1: the subject I'm married to three people. All right, you
- 46:00Speaker 1: don't want to miss that one, but up next to
- 46:07Speaker 1: get it laughed for that? Well, you know, all you
- 46:10Speaker 1: gotta do is add one word to that missige is
- 46:12Speaker 1: about me? Was what's that word? Yeah? I was married?
- 46:19Speaker 1: All right? Listen, um Nephews here with his prank phone call.
- 46:22Speaker 1: What you got? Well, every church has one churches? Yeah,
- 46:28Speaker 1: the Preacher's Wife, it ain't a movie. It ain't a movie.
- 46:32Speaker 1: It's the prank. The Preacher's wife running catch God. Hello, Hello,
- 46:38Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach your sister Angela. Sister Angela, please,
- 46:43Speaker 1: how are you doing. My name is brother Clayton. I'm
- 46:45Speaker 1: calling you from the greatest Baptist Church. How you doing
- 46:48Speaker 1: this morning? I'm fine, I'm fine. Yeah, listen, I know
- 46:53Speaker 1: that your husband, Reverend Reverend Jonathan, is actually one of
- 46:58Speaker 1: the candidates that we may be choose thing to be
- 47:00Speaker 1: our pastor since our past pastor has stepped down. Yes, yes, yes,
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm I'm very proud of my husband. I think you'll
- 47:08Speaker 1: make a very good candidate. As a matter of fact,
- 47:10Speaker 1: here at the church, we've been asking a lot of
- 47:13Speaker 1: the deacons and and and assistant uh ministers here have
- 47:17Speaker 1: been asking different questions, different things that they would be
- 47:21Speaker 1: doing once they became pastor, you know, like your first
- 47:24Speaker 1: one hundred days. What would you try and change here
- 47:26Speaker 1: at the church or try and make better? So to speak? Yet,
- 47:29Speaker 1: but what is here right now? Do you need to
- 47:32Speaker 1: speak to us? No, not right now? What what we
- 47:34Speaker 1: decided to do? Uh? Since Angela is actually called the
- 47:39Speaker 1: wives and asked them a few questions. Okay, that's a
- 47:42Speaker 1: little different, and we don't we don't want to take
- 47:45Speaker 1: up too much of your time. You know a lot
- 47:47Speaker 1: of times. Uh. If a pastor is stressed at home,
- 47:52Speaker 1: nine times out of tend, he's likely to be stressed
- 47:55Speaker 1: at the church. So I guess, my, my, My biggest
- 47:59Speaker 1: question to you is is your husband stressed at home? Uh? No,
- 48:06Speaker 1: not that I know of. He eats regularly, he's on
- 48:10Speaker 1: a good diet. You know, he goes to the doctor regularly,
- 48:13Speaker 1: gets his physical um pretty good. At home, I don't
- 48:17Speaker 1: have a reason to believe that he's stressed. He certainly
- 48:20Speaker 1: hasnt brought anything to my attention. Okay, No, don't, I don't.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I don't, I don't. I don't
- 48:25Speaker 1: think you follow me? S since Andrew, what I'm saying,
- 48:28Speaker 1: is he stressed behind closed doors? Is he stressed in
- 48:34Speaker 1: that fashion? Um? I'm not. I'm not too sure I
- 48:39Speaker 1: follow you. You said behind closed doors? What exactly what
- 48:42Speaker 1: you mean by that? Is he? Is he stressed in
- 48:48Speaker 1: y'all's relations Is he stressed? Are you asking me about
- 48:52Speaker 1: my personal business? Providence? Well, what I'm saying is if
- 48:54Speaker 1: he's stressed at home, he'll be stressed at the church.
- 48:58Speaker 1: And if he's stressed at the church, then the members
- 49:00Speaker 1: are stressed then the congregation is stressed, so the stress
- 49:04Speaker 1: start with you. Excuse me, if you are making sure
- 49:09Speaker 1: that he's all right at home, he's gonna be all
- 49:12Speaker 1: right at the church. I'm sorry, brother. What was your name?
- 49:15Speaker 1: Brother Clayton, Brother Clayton. I appreciate you um conducting whatever
- 49:20Speaker 1: interviews you guys need to conduct with the candidates wives.
- 49:24Speaker 1: I do think that's pretty much personal territory and I
- 49:27Speaker 1: really don't want to answer those kind of questions. It's
- 49:29Speaker 1: not personal since the angela win is so many other
- 49:32Speaker 1: people involved. See that's why I'm asking you the question,
- 49:36Speaker 1: is your man stressed behind? I could assure you, yes
- 49:40Speaker 1: that my husband is not stressed at home. If I
- 49:43Speaker 1: get your drift, he is not stressed behind closed doors. Brother,
- 49:48Speaker 1: and I would appreciate you if you don't call. What
- 49:50Speaker 1: these kind of questions are you asking other candidates? Why
- 49:53Speaker 1: these kind of questions? Well, I was the one UH
- 49:56Speaker 1: dedicated to call to give you a call, and that's
- 49:58Speaker 1: the question that I decided to come up with because
- 50:01Speaker 1: I want to know if a man is gonna be stressed,
- 50:03Speaker 1: because if he's gonna have tension at the church, then
- 50:06Speaker 1: then the congregation is going to have tension, the church
- 50:08Speaker 1: is gonna have tension, and the church cannot move forward
- 50:11Speaker 1: in the direction over. My husband and I have been
- 50:14Speaker 1: married twenty to five years, and they've been twenty five
- 50:17Speaker 1: good years. If you get my drift, Okay, he is
- 50:20Speaker 1: not stressed at home, and whatever goes on at home,
- 50:23Speaker 1: my husband has sense enough not to take it to
- 50:25Speaker 1: the church. That is not something he's gonna do. So
- 50:28Speaker 1: you don't see that about anybody else being stressed at
- 50:31Speaker 1: the congregation in the pulpit nowhere. Okay, we asked it
- 50:34Speaker 1: together at home, and I appreciate if you don't ask
- 50:36Speaker 1: you those kind of questions. But sometimes, but sometimes a
- 50:41Speaker 1: woman does not realize that that a husband is stressed.
- 50:45Speaker 1: You understand that there's a possible way that you don't
- 50:47Speaker 1: know that he's stressed. So how can you get Let
- 50:50Speaker 1: me get your phone a fact, let me get your
- 50:52Speaker 1: full name. What's your first name. Let's just go with
- 50:54Speaker 1: brother Clayton right now. Could you please answer this question.
- 50:57Speaker 1: How can you guarantee that he is full not stressed?
- 51:01Speaker 1: Brother Clayton, I'm calling the Lord real quick, hold on,
- 51:06Speaker 1: Brother Clayton. I'm an honorable woman. I'm a woman who
- 51:10Speaker 1: stands by my man. Okay, but you are asking me
- 51:13Speaker 1: some questions that very personal, very private, very confidential. You
- 51:19Speaker 1: are asking me questions that that that a question is
- 51:21Speaker 1: the safety of my marriage? Okay? My husband is not
- 51:25Speaker 1: stressed and if I don't send him away from my
- 51:31Speaker 1: home stressed? Okay, how do you know? But what are
- 51:36Speaker 1: you doing to make sure that this is less stress? Clayton,
- 51:39Speaker 1: I'm about to end this phone call. Okay, Now, if
- 51:42Speaker 1: you know we're not gonna end this phone call that
- 51:45Speaker 1: we know we I need to know the Reverend Jonathan
- 51:48Speaker 1: is not stressed at home. They put they assigned me
- 51:51Speaker 1: to talk to you, and that's what I'm going to do,
- 51:53Speaker 1: and I'm going to leave. He is not stressed. I
- 51:55Speaker 1: don't know who told you that the man is not stressed.
- 51:57Speaker 1: If he had to stressed around you, I bet you.
- 52:01Speaker 1: I bet you he stress because you're stressing me right
- 52:04Speaker 1: now now we're both stressed out. How can we understand
- 52:06Speaker 1: that that man is not stressed. That's the end of
- 52:09Speaker 1: this conversation. Do you understand me? Give me your full
- 52:11Speaker 1: name right now, give me some intimate details, and then
- 52:14Speaker 1: I'll give you my name to cross the line. You
- 52:17Speaker 1: wait till my husband gets here. If this is gonna
- 52:19Speaker 1: cost him candescy. Does this so be? We'll find another chunch.
- 52:22Speaker 1: I'd have some choice words for you right now. I
- 52:27Speaker 1: will give you my name right now. Do you have
- 52:29Speaker 1: a yes. I'm gonna writing right now the letter N
- 52:32Speaker 1: N is a Nancy E N E P H E
- 52:41Speaker 1: W that nephew. Your name is nephew Clayton. My name
- 52:46Speaker 1: ain't nephew Clayton. My name is nephew Tommy from the
- 52:49Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your husband,
- 52:53Speaker 1: Reverend Jonathan. You said his nephew Tommy is from the
- 53:05Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning It's your Your husband got me to

- 53:20Speaker 1: I can't believe I let him get, you know, pranks before.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Oh my god, Tommy, I will tell you if this
- 53:29Speaker 1: was twenty five years ago, brother, I cussed up a storm.
- 53:34Speaker 1: I'm so glad I'm a safe woman. Well listen, listen.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Can I ask you one more thing? What is the
- 53:42Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land? The Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 53:49Speaker 1: You know, every now and then you got to test
- 53:51Speaker 1: the first lady. You know what I'm saying, make sure
- 53:53Speaker 1: she ready? You played too much? What you don't need
- 53:56Speaker 1: to prank the first lady to Pastor's wife? What's wrong
- 53:58Speaker 1: with you? Else? Who else? On my prank? You're really
- 54:01Speaker 1: kind of her today? Who you want me to frank? Called?

- 54:58Speaker 1: three people is the subject. You're listening to the Steve
- 55:02Speaker 1: Harvey Show. All right, it is time for today's Strawberry Letter.

- 55:15Speaker 1: submit your strawberry letter to Steve Harvey f M dot com.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Steve and I could be reading your letter on the air,
- 55:21Speaker 1: just like we're gonna do this one right now. Go ahead,
- 55:24Speaker 1: and nephew, buckle up and hold on time. She is here.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Beats the stuff Roy, it's with the Strawberry LETTA. Thank you,
- 55:33Speaker 1: little man, little man, thank you. Oh I'm little. They
- 55:38Speaker 1: did a movie about little Man. It's called little Man.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Subject I'm married to three people. Dear Stephen Shirley, Greetings
- 55:48Speaker 1: from the Dirty South. I have this dilemma that I've
- 55:52Speaker 1: dealt with for twenty one years, and I finally had enough.
- 55:57Speaker 1: My problem is that I'm married to three people. My husband,
- 56:02Speaker 1: his single sister, and his widowed mother. He can't do
- 56:07Speaker 1: anything without his sister's and his mother's advice. He talks
- 56:10Speaker 1: to them about our marriage, our children, and our finances,
- 56:14Speaker 1: probably our sex life too. He talks to his mama
- 56:18Speaker 1: as if he doesn't have a wife and four children
- 56:21Speaker 1: at home. Any argument that we have, he calls his
- 56:24Speaker 1: sister and gets her opinion on it. And yes, of
- 56:27Speaker 1: course they hate me because he plays the victim in
- 56:31Speaker 1: every situation. He's always available to help his mom and
- 56:35Speaker 1: sister out whenever they call him, and he will do
- 56:37Speaker 1: whatever they need him to do, often leaving me to
- 56:41Speaker 1: run our home alone with the kids. When he's home
- 56:44Speaker 1: with us, he spends most of his time on the
- 56:47Speaker 1: couch watching cartoons. I know this is not right, and
- 56:50Speaker 1: I sound crazy for dealing with this for so long.
- 56:53Speaker 1: I should have dropped him off at his mama's house
- 56:55Speaker 1: a long time ago and let them be one big, old,
- 56:58Speaker 1: happy family. I've value your advice, Steve, so give it
- 57:02Speaker 1: to me straight. What should I do? How can I
- 57:06Speaker 1: get this grown man to stop being a mama's boy. Well,
- 57:10Speaker 1: you hit so many points on the head. I mean,
- 57:13Speaker 1: you know so many things are wrong in your marriage. I,
- 57:17Speaker 1: for one, don't understand how you've dealt with it for
- 57:20Speaker 1: twenty one long years. That's a long long time to
- 57:25Speaker 1: deal with this kind of stuff. To to be married
- 57:27Speaker 1: to three people at the same time, your husband, his
- 57:30Speaker 1: single sister, and his widowed mother. That's a long long
- 57:33Speaker 1: time to be put second, third, and fourth in a marriage. Uh,
- 57:37Speaker 1: this is really on you. I mean, he is a child,
- 57:41Speaker 1: he's immature, and you're right, he's a mama's boy. He
- 57:44Speaker 1: took a vow, remember back twenty one years ago when
- 57:46Speaker 1: you guys got married, he took a vow, um, you know,
- 57:49Speaker 1: to leave the family and cleave to his wife. All that.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Let no man separate you guys. But he's done just that.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Perhaps he didn't take those vials seriously, Well, that's playing
- 57:58Speaker 1: to see that he didn't. Um. I just don't know
- 58:01Speaker 1: why you have put up with it for so long.
- 58:03Speaker 1: But if you finally had enough, be done. If you're done.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I know you have four children. You don't say how
- 58:08Speaker 1: old they are anything, but um, you know, no one
- 58:12Speaker 1: should have to put up with this. And my question
- 58:15Speaker 1: to you is why have you put up with it
- 58:17Speaker 1: so long? And if you don't want to, you know
- 58:19Speaker 1: what you have to do. I mean, if he this
- 58:21Speaker 1: man is on the couch watching cartoons that I don't get.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Does he work? Does you know what is he doing?
- 58:29Speaker 1: I don't understand. Um, you need either counseling. I don't
- 58:34Speaker 1: know if it's too late for that, or you need
- 58:36Speaker 1: to get out and get on with your life, a
- 58:39Speaker 1: life that you deserve, not one that's a marriage of
- 58:43Speaker 1: one to one person legally, but really to three people.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Steve crazy, right, You know, I don't like these kind
- 58:53Speaker 1: of let us calls. You know, I get tired of
- 58:57Speaker 1: respond into this type of thing. The lady, you know
- 59:01Speaker 1: what's wrong. It's so obvious to everybody listening. Know what's
- 59:06Speaker 1: wrong here. You didn't dealt with this for twenty one
- 59:10Speaker 1: years and you finally had enough. Now the question all
- 59:13Speaker 1: I need to know is have you really finally had enough?
- 59:19Speaker 1: Because if you have, I have a solution for you.
- 59:22Speaker 1: But let's let's COVID. You're married to your husband, his
- 59:27Speaker 1: single sister, and his widowed mama. So ain't nobody got
- 59:31Speaker 1: nobody over there? All them women, his single sister and
- 59:36Speaker 1: his mama, they got him and he there can't do
- 59:40Speaker 1: anything without the advice. Talk to him about Madge Kid finance,
- 59:44Speaker 1: probably talking about sex life. Two here talk to his
- 59:48Speaker 1: mom as if he doesn't have a wife and folk
- 59:50Speaker 1: children at home. Man argument that we have. He calls
- 59:52Speaker 1: his sister, gets her opinion. Of course, they hate you, Yes,
- 59:55Speaker 1: they hate you. He's always available to help his mama
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: when they call him here, do whatever they need to do.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Leave you to run to your house with the kids.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: When he hold with us here watching cartoons. We all
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: know what this is. I know this is not right,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: and I sound crazy for dealing with this with so long.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: I know you do, lady, and you know it too.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: You just need some confirmation here. That's why I'm reading
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: your letter again. I should have dropped him off at
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: his mama's house a long time ago and let him
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: be one big old having him. I value your advice
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: to you, so give it to me straight. What should
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: I do? How can I get this grown man to
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: stop being a mama's boy. You can't. You can't. Twenty
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: one years, you cannot change what he is. Rule number one,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Ladies always notice about mama's boys. Mama's boys can't become
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: your man. That's the rule. Mama's boys can't become your man.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: You can't serve two masters. You can't be the head
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: of two households. You can't happily have two wives. Something
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: has to suffer, even a dude that's got a chick
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: on the side. Somebody has to be number one in
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: the pecking order. Ain't no two number ones, No such
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: a thing, No such a thing. Somebody has to play
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: the number two roles. Your husband number one priority is
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: his mama. That's not fitting to change. He's a mama's boy.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I don't know how old he is. You didn't say
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: in this letter, but y'all been dealing with you. You've
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: been dealing with this with twenty one years. Let's just
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: take the low end of it. Let's just say you
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: got married at twenty. He forty was the fact that
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: he foughty one laying on the couch watching a cartoon.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: That is crazy, right there, a cartoon at forty one,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: right there, And that's all he do until hid mammy called.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: And that's what you refer to her as. So that's
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: what I'm gonna refer to as you didn't put that
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: in the letter. Your mammy called. I'm pretty sure she mammy, really,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: your damn mammy call. And you ain't your ass, sister.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I'll be back. Then it's talking about your mammy and
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: you ain't your sister. All right, we'll have part two
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after the hour.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Show. All right, Steve, come on,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: let's get to part two. See your response. Here's the
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: thing about a woman who's been in this situation so long,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Just like women who stay in bad relationships long, because
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: you are such nurturrous by nature, such hell is and
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: such people of you're just nurturrous. You think you can
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: fix it if I just keep loving him, praying bot
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: it it all change. Well, if you're praying for somebody
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: that don't ever pray for their self, I don't really
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: know how that works. You're praying that an alcoholic go
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: get help. But until the alcoholic want to go get
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: help or he can't go down there, you stay in
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: this relationship because you keep thinking it will change. Twenty
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: one years and it hasn't changed. Sureley made another point
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: that he's ignoring the vows that he took to leave
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: all others and cleave only unto you. He didn't hear
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: that when the preacher said that he was looking at it.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Mama was longing, not longingly, Steve, I ain't gonna move
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: far away from you. This the stuff he was saying.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I'm man huh, but it's still you, mama. This is
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: what a mama's boys saying at the wed. A man
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: her because we sleep together, but it's still you, mama.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: You married a mama's boy. So he didn't hear that part.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: When you promise you've to leave all others and cleave
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: only on to her, I cleave only on to you, MoMA.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: This was the voice that was playing in his head
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: during the wed, so he missed that. Shirley also mentioned
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: that you might consider counseling. I like to use counseling
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: because I have a talk show. I've learned that from
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: my white listeners that counseling is very effective form of
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: dealing with situations and problems. Until I had this talk show,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I never thought counseling was worth it them. But since
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: I have a talk show, I've recommended counselor several times. Well,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: they ain't gonna work in this case because everybody in
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: this letter black. In order for counseling to work with
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: black people, you must take all of all concerned parties
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: to counsel. Ain't everybody you let this little prisson help
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: for talk us into some counselor what nothing wrong with this?
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Before you're married her? Now all of usaid't get married her.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Now we're just crazy people. Ain't nobody crazy? But how
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: setting up that? Just making babies? Yeah, y'all need counseling.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: But her mammy, his mammy ain't going. And you know
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: his single sister ain't going because she's some way what
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: she's the single sister overweight? How you know that in
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the letter, I'm just throwing it out. She ain't got
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: no I'm on, I'm talking excessively overway. She overweight, And
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: they ain't that good person. You can be away and
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: getting man, it's some cute. It's cute big girls. I
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: get me and all the time because it because they're
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: nice people and they got that sexiness about him. You
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: know there's a lot of Ashley Graham's walking around in
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: the hood. Yeah, yeah, she ain't one of them. She's
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: not Ashley Graham. She's Ashley Damn. Ladies and gentlemen, you
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: are dating a mama's boy and there's nothing nothing you
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: can do about it. There is no cure. Now what
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: should I do? Do not spend the next twenty one
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: years of your life in misery? Don't do it? Let
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: him go on over there. This could be the thing
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: that jaws him. The thought of losing you could draw
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: him up. I don't know. But do you want to
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: do another twenty one years like you did or do
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: you want to have a different twenty one years? You
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: make the decision. All right, Steve, we gotta get out
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: of your our girls, girl would I was just loving
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: and listen to baby, I was just loving. But hey,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Shirlette Dolling, Wait, man, before I get to what I'm
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: really gonna talk about, what's with the mama's. I didn't
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: dated a lot of mama boys because me and their
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: mama was the same age. You don't. Oh yeah, we
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: have the a Tommy. We have to catch the table
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: with the house coats on drinking syncha listening to Johnny Taylor.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: You think I got to yourself? Okay, I'm sorry that
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I go to the too. Chuse her son is forty
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: five and the mama sevning five. Okay. Anyway, here's my
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: point of what I want to talk about to day
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: everybody's talking about what the young people are doing, and
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I think this is amazing. Don't y'all think this is amazing.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I'm glad you're talking about it. And I'm not saying
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: that because I work at this network. I'm saying that
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: because CBS did this really good report where they talked
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: about some people that used to be in an n
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: r A and nobody's against the n r A. I
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: believe everybody that got a gun should be a member
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: of the n r A so we can change how
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: they do and think about things and use them for good.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: But they also talked about this guy named Richard Feilman,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: who was a farmer n r A lobbyists who now
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: has the Independent Firearms Association, who believes, as long as
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: the Second Amendment rights are protected, there needs to be
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: some changes in gun laws, in gun restrictions and in
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: gun ownership. And I think that's great. People can come
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: together for good. But I think we all need to
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: support these kids. Why because Dr King and the young
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: all them, brother Jesse Jackson, they were young people working
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: in the civil rights movement. A Philip Randolph was a
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: young man when he talked thought about the march on
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Washington when he gathered eighteen thousand black people to come
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: together in Madison Square Garden to talk about change. He
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: was a young man of five beta sigma when he
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: did that. They were young men and alpha young men,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: and they were young people doing this. And last for
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: our least, Ruby Bridges, that little bitty girl, what's six
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: years old? When she had the courage to walk in
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: that school, she didn't have any fear. So when you're
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: talking about what these young people can do, they can
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: do it. And if you can do it in Florida,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: if you can bring people together multiracial, multicultural, then you
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: can do it in Chicago. Then you can do it
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: in l A. Then you can do it everywhere. And
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: we're gonna help support this movement. What do we have
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: a microphone? A microphone to let these kids voices be
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: heard and then we stand beside them. They need money,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: they need support, and they need our prayers, and we
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: support anything that a young person is doing for good.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: I'm out, Steve Harvey, and I let your mama. Oh
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: uhl I say I let your mama? Did I not
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: say timing? Do you where y're mama? Because you know
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: I'm getting what you are saying. The soul coming up
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: in about ten minutes. Thank you, Yls in the building.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's time for sister.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: O'Dell darling. Yeah, I forgot my own in try How
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: you did? Ain't that crazy? Good morning? Everyone was good
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: morning mornings. I don't know why I wait on the interest.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: That ain't even the way. I just need to just
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: come on, man, Thank you for reminding miss Charlotte. You're
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: so welcome, sister. That's the first sweet thing you've ever done. No,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: it's not, but I'll take it. Is it is? I
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: just said it won't. Yes, ma'am. First, you're you're so right,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: so right this very moment. It's all right though, Yes, yes, man,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I heard what Thomas said about your How long have
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: you been sick? I am not sick, sister, O'Dell, ain't
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: you got? Ain't you got? What is? You got? What is?
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: She got? Iro? What time? And you got? I rods?
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I've never heard I rods her herd at that rog
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: and rag? He made that up. He made it up, yes, ma'am.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: God of funny. Though you got a rods anyway. He's
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: a cute girl. Shelly always nice and and well done
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: up and everything. Wow, that's a good thing. That's the
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: nicest thing you've ever said to me ever since. Well,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: hold on because there's no with it. Okay, don't get it, man,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: don't get front yourself. Sorry you said that. You do
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: all that because you can't cook it all, So might
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: as well give a man something to look at. She
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: ain't gonna hand knee. What's going on, y'all? Well, a
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: lot of things are going on in the news since
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Yre Dell. But we'll just touch on a couple of things.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. The kids down their floor,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: they must with the row water white kids going to
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: change something, yes, ma'am, they are. I'm all for true
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: about time. Ye yes, yes, ma'am. Yeah, they will not
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: What what happened? I excuse me? You know I've been
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: working on that. Just been so pressed up lately, saving
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: the Lord out and FORGT. Oh. Okay, hey, sister Adal
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: over the weekend, did you get a chance to see
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: uh Black Panther Girl? I went on there. That's a
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: good movie, yes, ma'am, yes it is. Did you like
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I love that moving Black Panther? Yes? I was in there,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: you know. Where's your boy that played Chadwick Boseman or
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Michael b. Jordan's No, not Michael be the Starwick King
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: to Challa, King to Chala. I knew it was great
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: great great grandfather from Wakanda, now King Chila. How did
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: you meet him, sister? Well, one time I was in
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Africa on a mission, you know, saving souls, and we
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: was on a safari you know, and we had it
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: was all on foot because they didn't have uh you know,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: range rovers back then. We were on foot. This grab
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: big old African jumped. Dr bush Man had a bone
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: through his nose. He was a big man too. He
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: had an elephant bone in his nose. Girl, and he
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: jumped out. I said, good, Lord of matter, he said,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: going on your horse, I'm on Wait again, he said
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: what I said? I bet you, I bet you won't.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I stayed with him for three years over there, just Africa,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: for three years, swinging on making corn, going to get water.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: He drank a lot of water. Yeah you know, wait,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: wait what do you say? I got more? So he said?
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: And I said, I know that's right. Me up and
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: threw me over his shoulders, frank me and carrying me
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: back to this hunting. He was king everything, that his
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: old money everything. We had a weird we broke up though,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Oh how did you break it up? Well, he had
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: fifteen wives and I couldn't stay in fourteen fifteen. When
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I came in, Lord, I was fine. They were so
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: upset with me. Okay, I had breast and everything back then.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: Back then, that ain't your business. When I got is
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: a brain something you ain't you well, ciccro deel um,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: this brings me to the other big story of the day.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: And no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Surely we talked about this. Be careful. Yeah, it's like
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: I'm not doing my job properly if I don't say anything.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: You know, I'm always in this. I'm as I got
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: the feeling there's going to be some other cand of news. Well,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: sister O'Dell, I mean, please understand the spirit and which
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: I'm I'm telling you this just so you'll know. I mean,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: he has such an influence on everyone evangelists. Billy Graham
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: passed away yesterday morning. Yes. Uh, he was the preacher
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: to the President's they used to call him. He met
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: with just about every president, Yeah, starting with Truman all
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: the way to Obama Donald Trump, Well tell you need
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: to be the one you've got to be kick I noticed,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: fuck it, hold til I try to st told me
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: I'm heavy. Were to stay up doing your grammy? Hold on?
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Hold I got sold that. I got you. Wait a
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: minute now, said hold on jan like to me bad
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: you the same old day. Hold on have a that
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: like say, j hold on on, I know that, said,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: I ain't stand your held out. Damn my throat, your asso,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: your head, holm yourself. Oh my god, you m your
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: dad heavy back. You ain't going to heaven. You can
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: be hold on on it. Get high. You're listening to
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Get her hands job little,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: let's tell her to go. Jesus, let's just a little talk.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I'm not disrespectful to my elders, but my God, shut
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: him out. Jesus, I am not disrespectful since your job,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: but you're not going to stop me from doing my job. Now,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: enough is enough. She jumped on me. Talk. I'm down.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: He wrote a book, and that's why I'm left. I'm
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: talking a little cold. We've been on commercial so he
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: wrote a book, said me home. So if anybody going
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: to him and here, let me straighten you out of
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: oh god, helf, listen. That is not necessary. What you
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: gonna calling is not necessary. I don't you don't tell

- 1:18:16Speaker 1: don't care for you? Did you? Did you know? Very well? True?
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Did you know Billy Graham? I knew his grandfather, Graham
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Cracker I need because Cracker barrel, and I knew his
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: uncle shouting. They all got they were the food business
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: because they were setting up after child others. And I
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: hadn't noticed that he was gonna Billy Graham and large.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: But I had to gather myself because it's been such
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: a Christian for so long. He he going to heaven
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: unlike somewhere else about Dennis. That's what you mean, Shirley Junior,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Tommy no more. She can't handle this. Yeah, but it's like, Shirley,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: you know, I knew something was up when you said
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: thank I should Yeah, you know, because you're relishous. No not,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: you're relishou is ain't hurting me. I don't know what
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: that's what she does to do? Connor, don't ever do
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: it comes on this show in college, just a sweet
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: to me Junior is respectful even every little endnant boy.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: If guy, he's good to me most of the time.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: I'm always a constant throne in my side us doing
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: my dear. I am not evil, I am not disrespectful.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: I am a professional. See how you run in your
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: mouth right now? Thank you. Let a woman get herself
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: together after hearing such tragic news. But all you just
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: like that damn president trying to just get your poys.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: You just truck back, old woman. You're gonna take that bell? Now?
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Did you hear what she said to me? I just
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: like the President, I didn't wish you said. I was
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: just like, oh no, no, no, no, everybody heard it.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I didn't whish you get night down at Trump. It's
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: always about you trying to fix what's wrong with you.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: They don't care about like the president on different Trump
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: if they had below the bell, sister Dale, that's insulting
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: long below the bell, doul. That's why did That's why
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I swung it from because she does it to me. Carl,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: you don't ever want to stop this help from disrespecting her.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: You don't take it well, Sister O'Dell like Dennis Edwards
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: and the Temptations passed recently. I didn't tell you about
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: that one. I didn't just see shop. Oh my god,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Oh my god, I said it. I didn't mean to
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: say it. I was saying. I was trying to tell her.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: I don't know if she heard it. Maybe she didn't
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: hear it. She heard it. I'm looking at her. Dang it,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: don't do this. Why am I wrong? Let's check on
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: what you're doing. Come on, now, come on, you need
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: to leave right now. You need to leave. Just a head.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Let it out, Let it out, Let it out. I didn't. Yeah,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: I didn't nothing, share it you. Wow. I didn't sing more.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: I didn't singing. Don't look at further. That's the wrong
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: song standard, don't share just my imagination, my imagine that didn't.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: I think you should leave for a minute, I really do.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I think you should just like how hat is? What
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I do is try to do much? Why should keeps
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: me doing that so long? Now you go to stodd
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: right here? What you oh? Don't keep going back and forth?
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Step fool, friend a rail. I can't say your sale
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: in the world. I can't said your challenge strawberry you
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: make me sick? Whoa whoa star? What is it? Good?
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: You like shell happened? Oh that's why he's saying, got
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: a break, gotta break with me back. I don't won't
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: get us having Oh he's having to kill ground that
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: of that. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: It's that time. Let's get to it. It's the one
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: and only Carla Ferrol with Reality Update. Alright, back to
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: the show. Yeah, back on, you almost got kicked out
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: here today. Yeah, all right, let's talk about Real Housewives
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: of Atlanta. You remember what a couple of days ago,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: the Strawberry letter, Shirley, what was the title? Married to
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: a bug? What was the title? Oh my man is
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: bugging me? Alright? Yeah, and Steve, you talked about all
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: these roaches and yeah, what was going on? Well, guess
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: what Real Housewives of Atlanta roach Gate? Yeh, roach gate? Yes, Junior.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: So here we go. Last week, you know, the women
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: went to Spain. Cynthia put together this trip for them
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: to all go to Barcelona, and Kim and Kenya they
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: did not go. They skipped the trip. And remember I
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: told you that Kim didn't want to go because she
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: had health issues and she wanted her husband to go,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: but he wasn't invited. Anyway, long story short. On the
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: way to the airport, Nini made it very clear that
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: she doesn't believe that Kim has all of these health
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: issues like cancer, stroke, thyroid, open heart surgery. Well that's
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: the thing, y'all know, I got cancer? Who do that? Well,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: so the bone collected your girl, which surely we're just
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: gonna call hood the snitch. Yeah, she's just being just
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: ratting back. Yeah, yeah, anyway, she told him what Nini said.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: They fast forward, they get to Spain sidebar. They don't
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: like the accommodations that Cynthia put together. They didn't think
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: the house was fly enough, so they weren't really feeling
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: the location for the house, I mean where they were
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: and all that. But anyway, Kim snapped back. She clapped back,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: I should say to the lad she said this big
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: group text to Barcelona, to the girls in Barcelona with
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: the video. She clapped back to Nini and she talked
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: about Ninie having roaches in her house and that her
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: daughter Brill took a video of roaches being in Ninie's house.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: You know, Nini was not happen Nini went off. She
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: called Kim everything, she called her ballheaded me, it was
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Naedie went in on your girl. She talked about her
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: house being knew that she didn't have any roach problems,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: and and it just went on and on and on.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: So now you know it's game on between Ninie and Kim. Video.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: But wait a minute, Carla, there were where were those?
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: Were they? Water bugs? What? What was that? Yeah? You
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: know you couldn't really tell on the video. It was
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: kind of grainy. Where the water bugs? I don't know
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: what I can tell you right away. Just show me
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: the video, Okay, I'll show you. I'm an expert. I'll
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: tell you right away what they are and what they ain't.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: He a specialist things I am. Yesterday, I'm gonna have
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: to say yes to that, right. Yeah, I wouldn't. I wouldn't.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: I wouldn't. Dad, I could have been a spokesperson for talking.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: I'm glad you decided not everything. Yeah, So anyway, hit
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: me up on Twitter. Tell me if you're on team
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: Nini or team Kim for the clap back of roach Gate?
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: Do you think Kim went too far? I just think
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: the whole thing was crazy. Sar first of all shouldn't
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: have called what is she calling for? All men? All
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: the men? Love say, I'm not in that line. Don't
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: say all men? Well most men? How about that? A
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: nice girl? Oh yeah, I like her? Yeah for sure.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: All right, Carla, we gotta go. You have more now,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: that's it? Okay, all right, Well, thank you, that was good. Yeah,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: Morning Show. Yesterday, massacre survivors from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: School marched, uh, the hashtag never again marched to Florida
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: State Capitol and Tallahassee. Also last night, there was a
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: town meeting on CNN while powerful. Uh. There were students, teachers,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: political leaders, and a representative from the n r A.
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: One representative, her name was Dana Lesh from the n
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: r A Republican Senator Mark Rubio. They were all in attendance.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: President Trump. He directed Justice Department to draft a ban
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: on bump stocks, device that makes it easier to fire
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: rounds quicker. Uh. This was the same device shoes in
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: the Vegas mash shooting back in October. Just excuse me,
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: bump stocks do not affect the sales of guns rifles
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: at all. It's an aftermarket product. It's like, then you
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: buy that, then you buy the bump It's like you
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: buy reals for your car. Back to the students, these
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: unbelievably just so bright, so articulate, so smart students. Um listen,
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: tech a listen. Here's what one of them had to say.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: We're just kids. I know myself, I'm only sixteen. I'm
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: a junior in high school. Most of my worries are
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: what show am I going to watch at six pm?
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: What when do I do my homework? How do I
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: fit in rehearsals for theater? I know, for my other
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: colleagues at sports or maybe film. But everybody needs to
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: remember we are just children. A lot of people think
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: that that disqualifies us from even having an opinion on
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: this sort of matter, as if maybe because we've been
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: through a traumatic experience, that we don't know what we're
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: talking about, that we're speaking irrationally. And I want everybody
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: to remember that is not the case. We more than
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: anybody else, understand the violence that comes through certain guns.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: We more than anybody else, understand what it feels like
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: to lose somebody. Sorry, it's difficult to talk about this
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: sort of thing. The way people today have greeted us
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: or not greeted us, is that we aren't being taken
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: seriously enough. Now. I personally don't know the steps that
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: we're gonna have to take, but once we figure that out,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: we're gonna take them, and you better believe we're gonna
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: take them as soon as possible. We are old enough
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: to understand financial responsibilities. We're old enough to understand why
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: a senator cares about re election or not. We are
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: old enough to understand why someone might want to discredit
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: us for their own political purposes. But we will not
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: be silenced. It has gone on long enough that we,
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: just because we are kids, were not allowed to understand.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: But trust me, I understand. I was in a closet,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: locked for four hours with people who I would consider
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: almost family, crying and weeping on me, begging for their lives.
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: I understand what it's like to text my parents goodbye,
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: I might never ever get to see you again. I
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: love you. I understand what it's like to fear for
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: your life. But it's going to happen, and it's going
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: to happen before in my lifetime, because I will fight
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: every single day, and I know everyone else here will
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: fight for the rest of their lives to see sensible
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: gun laws in this country and so that kids don't
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: have to fear going back to school. Because I want
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: everybody to know I'm supposed to be going back to
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: school in less than a week. I'm not ready. I
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: don't think anybody here is ready. I don't think anybody
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: here is ready to go back to class and just
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: have an empty seat. And you know that that empty
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: seat is because because someone's someone's dead, because somebody lost
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: their lives, and I don't know how I'm gonna cope
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: with it. See now, that's what I'm talking about, because
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: this generation is going to be the one to change.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: It's smart man, all right, And I will be back
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: with Steve's closing remarks. You're listening to all right, we
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: are back here is Steve. Just one more thing in
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: our closing remarks. I want to give you an analogy
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: everybody that I came up with a long time ago,
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: about reaping the harvest of your labor. I think that's
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: what all of us want to do. We all the
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: most folks I know don't mind working. So if you work,
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: you want to get paid, you want to reap a benefit.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: So growing up around the farm with my uncle and
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: my grandfather, I learned some things about farming that I've
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: applied to my current life. If you look at yourself
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: as a farmer, which we all are, we are all
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: trying to grow some crop that will one day benefit
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: us in selling at the market or being able to
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: have a big spread and eat and sustain our life.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: But before you can benefit from this, you gotta tell
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: the earth. You gotta tell the ground. You gotta get
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: out there, and you got to turn that soil over
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: to primate and getting ready for planting. So when you plant,
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: you want to make rolls. So let's say you walk
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: your mule down to the end of the row with
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: a plow attached to it. When you get down to
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: the end of the row, you stop. You're gotta go
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: back to the beginning of that role and you're gonna
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: start dropping seeds in the ground and cover them up
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: with your hand as you go. This is how you
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: start the process to be a success. After you've covered it,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: it takes a long time. This is not a day's process.
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: Now you go back down to that role. After you
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: plant all your seeds and you cover them, you hook
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: yourself back up to the plow and you come all
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: the way down that role back to where you started
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: to make your second row. You want to hook yourself
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: from the plow and you go back up there and
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: you drop some most seeds in the ground and you
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: started covering them up to you all the way back
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: at your plow, which is one row over from the
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: role you first started in. Now, when you look at
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: your road that you first started in, it's time to
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: start watering the seeds that you're planted. And you walk
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: down there and your water water water, water, water, water water.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: You come back down to the beginning. You hook yourself
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: up to the plow and you start making your third
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: row of seeds. You gotta constantly be be beef planting seeds.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: And when you make that third row and you get
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: down at the top, you go back to the second
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: row and you start watering that row. Well, by the
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: time you get the round roll five or planting row
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: one is starting to sprout, there's some crop coming up
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: out the ground. And when that crop comes out the ground,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: but you don't want to do is go over there
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: and start eating it right away, because it ain't even
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: came to fruition. It's not full bearing fruit or full
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: baring car. You're just gonna be eating stalks. So you
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: gotta be patient and let it grow so it can
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: turn into something now long the way you start making
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: your other roles. You gotta go back every now and
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: then you gotta put out pesticides because the haters is coming.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: You gotta put pesticides out to protect from against the
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: little haters. The little people as trying to eat your
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: crops before they grow up. Put some pesticides out. So
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: you go down there and you keep planting your rolls,
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: and you got thirty rolls made thirty rolls. You look
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: down there, Roll one starting to bear fruit. Now you
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: can go down there and you can start eating off
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: a roll one. But Roll thirty still needs to be
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: tended to. Roll fifteen needs fertilizing, You need water. Sometimes
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: sometimes you gotta cut them back. Sometimes you gotta walk
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: back through your crops and check for weeds. Have you
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: hired somebody or you allowed or relative or friend to
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: infiltrate your plan and they're they're just messing up your garden,
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: digging holes in it and knocking over your crops. You
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: gotta go back, and you gotta dwed your crops. You
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: gotta get rid of some people because if you're not careful,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: they back the messing up what you didn't work for.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: And just keep planting rolls, just keep planting seeds. You
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: just keep covering up with dirty You just keep watering him.
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: You keep going back and provide pesticides until you look
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: up and you've got so many roles, so many roles.
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: And the further you look back, there's more crops coming
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: up out the ground. There's more trees bearing fruit, there's
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: more corn stalks producing corn, and now you can go
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: back and eat. That's when they call fruits of your labor.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: That's when you can go back and you can start eating.
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: But you gotta constantly tend too, the garden man, because
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: the pesticides are always a problem. The weeds growing up
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: amongst your crops is always a problem. We are all
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: farmers in life. We are all hoping to reap the
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: benefits now. Sometimes as a farmer, or drought hits, ain't
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: no water. Sometimes as a farmer, a flood come through.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: These are the things that happen in life all the time.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: Because floods and droughts hit farmers, they don't stop farming.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: They know they got to start again, and they just
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: do it because they understand that's the process of reaping
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: the benefits of harvesting from your labor. They understand that.
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: So farmers don't stop farming cause the drought come. They
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: run through the dry spell and they just keep planning
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: because they know the sun is coming up. They know
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: that the flood's gonna dissipate, and they're gonna have to
