- 1:43Speaker 1: love got to turn out to turn wan, comey, come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your back, I sure will. Good morning everybody you're
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on dig me now, one
- 2:09Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. First of all,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I want to say thank you to everybody who are
- 2:15Speaker 1: offers me encouragement with my moments of inspiration in the
- 2:20Speaker 1: moment in the morning. Um, I want to say this
- 2:23Speaker 1: to you. A lot of times I'm I'm saying the
- 2:27Speaker 1: things that I need to hear. Oh. Now, I've heard
- 2:31Speaker 1: from a lot of people that they really appreciate it
- 2:33Speaker 1: and it benefits them and it has helped them in
- 2:35Speaker 1: so many ways. I thank you for saying that. But
- 2:38Speaker 1: you all helped me too, and I thank you for that.
- 2:42Speaker 1: You know, I don't have to be in a position.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I mean, I'm in this position because of God's grace
- 2:48Speaker 1: and mercy in my life. And you know I work hard,
- 2:52Speaker 1: I do, I'll admit that, but I've I've learned over
- 2:57Speaker 1: the years that you know, you got to give God
- 3:00Speaker 1: something to bless You know a lot of us want blessings,
- 3:04Speaker 1: but we ain't got nothing in action. We ain't moving,
- 3:07Speaker 1: you know, to give God nothing to put his hand on,
- 3:11Speaker 1: to touch on your behalf. And that's what I've tried
- 3:14Speaker 1: to do. I've tried to work hard enough to give
- 3:17Speaker 1: God some stuff that he can put his hands on
- 3:21Speaker 1: on my behalf. You know, I take meetings when I
- 3:23Speaker 1: ain't really sure how they're gonna go. But maybe God
- 3:26Speaker 1: are going there and touch somebody on my behalf. I
- 3:29Speaker 1: don't know. But He can't touch nobody on your behalf
- 3:32Speaker 1: at the meeting if you don't take the meeting, you know,
- 3:35Speaker 1: if you don't go and try and make the sale,
- 3:37Speaker 1: if you don't put the call in to make the sale,
- 3:40Speaker 1: God can't touch nobody to make them buy. You feel me,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I mean, you know, and I ain't trying to make
- 3:46Speaker 1: it sound like people around me or I know ain't
- 3:49Speaker 1: doing nothing I'm just telling you that the way I've
- 3:51Speaker 1: discovered it now that there could be another way. I
- 3:54Speaker 1: have not discovered it yet. So doing my little moments
- 3:58Speaker 1: of inspiration, I can only come from what I know.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But I do thank everybody for the encouragement or from
- 4:04Speaker 1: time to time I just want to say thank you too.
- 4:06Speaker 1: But I'm a lot of times I'm trying to get
- 4:08Speaker 1: myself through some things. So here's a good one today. Okay,
- 4:11Speaker 1: you're ready. Everybody and anybody can pray. See. That's the
- 4:16Speaker 1: thing about prayer. Everybody and anybody can pray. See and
- 4:23Speaker 1: and and and let me say this to what you
- 4:25Speaker 1: got to lose by praying what you you ain't gotta
- 4:28Speaker 1: make no spectacle of it. It. Don't say you have
- 4:31Speaker 1: to go to the center of the courthouse, get on
- 4:34Speaker 1: your knees on the other side of the metal detective
- 4:38Speaker 1: and cry out that ain't how God work. You ain't
- 4:41Speaker 1: got to show out for God God to do all
- 4:44Speaker 1: the showing out you are you. All you got to
- 4:46Speaker 1: do is do you lead a showing out part to God.
- 4:49Speaker 1: He's gonna clown for you, please, No, he gonna show
- 4:52Speaker 1: you off to everybody who needs to see it. And
- 4:54Speaker 1: especially your enemies. So you leave a showing out part
- 4:58Speaker 1: to him. You can pray, I mean everybody and anybody
- 5:02Speaker 1: can pray. Prayer is for everybody and anybody. Everybody and anybody.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I don't need prayer or if you're not applying it,
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you, man, you're missing out on something here,
- 5:14Speaker 1: because you're missing out on something. First of all, you
- 5:16Speaker 1: don't have to check with nobody to pray. You ain't
- 5:19Speaker 1: got to clear it with nobody to pray. You don't
- 5:23Speaker 1: need permission from anybody to pray. You ain't even got
- 5:29Speaker 1: to tell nobody if you don't want to that you've
- 5:32Speaker 1: been praying about something. Now, like a cat like me
- 5:36Speaker 1: that has seen prayer work over and over and over,
- 5:39Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem saying out loud that I'm
- 5:42Speaker 1: praying about something that I prayed for this and it
- 5:45Speaker 1: came true. That I'm praying to God get me through
- 5:47Speaker 1: something that I don't really have a problem saying that
- 5:50Speaker 1: because it didn't work for me so many times and
- 5:55Speaker 1: it has never ever failed me yet. Prayer has never
- 5:59Speaker 1: not worked for me. Now, you gotta understand something. Sometimes
- 6:03Speaker 1: the answer to your prayer is no. But see, I
- 6:06Speaker 1: got that too, though. See I understand that part of it,
- 6:11Speaker 1: that sometimes the answer to the prayer is no, I
- 6:15Speaker 1: got that, you know, Come on, Steve, Sometimes the answer
- 6:20Speaker 1: is no, and I've learned to accept that. But at
- 6:23Speaker 1: least now that I know that the answer is no,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I can move on to the next step, or move
- 6:27Speaker 1: on to the way he got for me. See, sometimes
- 6:30Speaker 1: I pray for stuff I won't and then sometimes the
- 6:32Speaker 1: answer to what I want is know. Then I said, okay, well, God,
- 6:36Speaker 1: what you got from me, What he got from me
- 6:38Speaker 1: way better than thing I was about to pray for
- 6:40Speaker 1: or the thing I was praying for. And I gotta
- 6:42Speaker 1: know too. But you gotta do it a little bit
- 6:44Speaker 1: to understand that part. But let's just talk about the
- 6:46Speaker 1: basic benefits of prayer, because he prayers beneficial. Y'all listen
- 6:52Speaker 1: to me. Now you're listening to a cat. I'm telling
- 6:55Speaker 1: you what I know. I ain't guessing about this one. Here,
- 6:58Speaker 1: this is what I know. Prayer is for everybody, and
- 7:02Speaker 1: anybody can pray. But here are the benefits for me
- 7:07Speaker 1: in my life that prayer has helped me. And this
- 7:09Speaker 1: is not in the order of significance or importance. These
- 7:12Speaker 1: are just some of the elements that occur when I pray.
- 7:16Speaker 1: First of all, purpose, I find purpose in prayer, you know,
- 7:21Speaker 1: like if I'm trying to figure out the mission and
- 7:25Speaker 1: the how come, the what for? The why I did it,
- 7:29Speaker 1: the how to? That that's purpose. I get purpose when
- 7:33Speaker 1: I pray. I ask God, what's the purpose? What am
- 7:36Speaker 1: I doing it for? What? What? What does it matter?
- 7:39Speaker 1: He gives me that in prayer. Sometimes I get direction.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Direction is a beautiful thing. I get, Okay, which way?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Which way? Lord? I'm I'm tossed up. I got a
- 7:50Speaker 1: decision to make and I ain't really show what to do.
- 7:52Speaker 1: What should I do? Show me which way to go? Direction?
- 7:56Speaker 1: How many times have you needed some direction? Well, that's
- 7:59Speaker 1: what prayer does. Let's talk about him again. Now. Purpose direction,
- 8:03Speaker 1: here's another good thing. It provides clarity, Lord mercy man,
- 8:08Speaker 1: how many times has he cleared it from me, showed
- 8:11Speaker 1: it to me, remove some people out the way, put
- 8:14Speaker 1: some people over here, exposed something to me that I
- 8:18Speaker 1: really needed to know. See, prayer work on so many levels.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Purpose direction, clarity, now, oh I see now, oh oh.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Sometimes it's exposing an enemy, showing you somebody who's betraying you.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Sometimes be showing you somebody's just hanging on for all
- 8:37Speaker 1: the wrong week. Just clarity, man, I thank him for
- 8:41Speaker 1: clarity through prayer. Here's another one. Calmness. It just calms
- 8:47Speaker 1: me down, man, It just makes me. It just makes
- 8:50Speaker 1: me feel easier to know that I ain't out here
- 8:53Speaker 1: dealing with it by myself, that I got a power
- 8:56Speaker 1: that out and tapped in that's greater than all powers.
- 8:59Speaker 1: The most, the most electrifying, stimulating, sensational power available to
- 9:06Speaker 1: mankind is your connection with your creator, with God. There's
- 9:10Speaker 1: nothing greater for you, man, that nothing. I don't care
- 9:13Speaker 1: what you Nobody tell you. There's nothing greater you can
- 9:16Speaker 1: do for yourself. Then get in touch with who made
- 9:18Speaker 1: you and find out what your purpose is, get yourself
- 9:22Speaker 1: some direction about who you are, get yourself some clarity
- 9:24Speaker 1: about what you ought to be doing, and then calm down, man,
- 9:28Speaker 1: so everything don't upset you. You know, sometimes many people
- 9:31Speaker 1: want to man, I don't know how you deal with
- 9:33Speaker 1: all that because I didn't prayed, man, and I didn't
- 9:35Speaker 1: got me some calmness working in my life to where
- 9:38Speaker 1: all these waters that's raging around me and these storms
- 9:41Speaker 1: and everything it ain't tossing my boat upside down, or
- 9:44Speaker 1: I'll be up in it sometimes, but I'm not turning
- 9:47Speaker 1: over and drowning and all this. Hell. I got a calmness, man,
- 9:51Speaker 1: knowing that God is working on my behalf, that he's
- 9:55Speaker 1: getting it done for me. And no matter how wrong
- 9:57Speaker 1: it looked for me, right now, I know, God got
- 10:00Speaker 1: me calmness. It's really cool to have calmness. Man. Here's
- 10:05Speaker 1: something else that guilts to me to understanding and wisdom.
- 10:08Speaker 1: It just makes me go, okay, I got that. I
- 10:11Speaker 1: see Oh you know what man, I was tripping on that. Okay,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I see you know what that's going down because it
- 10:18Speaker 1: is and because that happened. Now look at what that. Oh,
- 10:21Speaker 1: I see how that's working. That's wisdom, that's understanding. And
- 10:25Speaker 1: then just one more thing before we get out of here.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Just make me feel hopeful sometime. A matter of fact,
- 10:31Speaker 1: all the time, it just always got me, got me,
- 10:34Speaker 1: got got me feeled with hope that I know something
- 10:37Speaker 1: big about to pop off, that's something else about to
- 10:39Speaker 1: go down. He just give me hope. Man. That's what
- 10:42Speaker 1: prayer does. They do all them things. So if you
- 10:44Speaker 1: ain't praying, I check into it today. Really is such
- 10:47Speaker 1: a powerful and beneficial thing to all of us. Anybody
- 10:50Speaker 1: and everybody could pray. Just talk to him, just like
- 10:53Speaker 1: just like you're talking to anybody or what watch watch
- 10:55Speaker 1: how you feel you're listening. Let's go, y'all. Ain't say nothing.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Did we did? Now you didn't. I can't hear y'all.
- 11:13Speaker 1: If y'all was where y'all were supposed to be, this
- 11:16Speaker 1: will be going smooth right here where we're supposed to be. No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 11:21Speaker 1: You know how y'all do? Now? How do you don't
- 11:24Speaker 1: get your business put out in the street? What is
- 11:26Speaker 1: out there? Because I don't know what Ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:34Speaker 1: boys and girls, unified people around the world. This is

- 17:30Speaker 1: said no, he wanted to hear pay extra, put a

- 23:07Speaker 1: coming off of that right right? Okay, Well we're getting
- 23:10Speaker 1: ready for the summer, you know where everybody's excited about
- 23:12Speaker 1: coming out and being a part of what's going on.
- 23:14Speaker 1: So here's what I wanted to give you a little bit.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Like I said, I'm the new camp director. I was
- 23:20Speaker 1: just starting at this job. I got a few notes
- 23:22Speaker 1: that that we're given to me about about, so I
- 23:26Speaker 1: wanted to give you a call and see if I
- 23:28Speaker 1: could talk to you about it. A few notes giving
- 23:30Speaker 1: to you about Yeah, just a couple of notes. I
- 23:32Speaker 1: don't think it's anything that we can't make sure it's okay.
- 23:35Speaker 1: What kind of note. Well, it's been brought to my
- 23:37Speaker 1: attention that some of the parents whose daughters are out
- 23:40Speaker 1: there as well, there's gonna be there this summer a
- 23:42Speaker 1: little concerned about her being on top of the pyramid,
- 23:47Speaker 1: that she's uh is get a little heavy? Should she?
- 23:51Speaker 1: Uh wait? Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
- 23:54Speaker 1: wait wait ho ho ho? You calling me about some
- 23:58Speaker 1: some other bears than saying about how big my child
- 24:02Speaker 1: is or how much my child ways? Is that work?
- 24:05Speaker 1: What I wanted to let you know was we're gonna
- 24:08Speaker 1: put a base. Oh no, you ain't gonna put no
- 24:13Speaker 1: bab I don't already pay my money. And what you
- 24:15Speaker 1: say your name is Chip? And um, how long have
- 24:18Speaker 1: you been the director? Because I was just up there
- 24:20Speaker 1: two weeks ago and they told me that she was
- 24:23Speaker 1: gonna be the same position that she was last year,
- 24:26Speaker 1: because that is what worked. That's the formation that worked.
- 24:29Speaker 1: So I don't even know what the world Supposedly that
- 24:31Speaker 1: some of the girls are complaining that she's too heavy
- 24:33Speaker 1: to hold up. So that's what it seems to be
- 24:36Speaker 1: the problem in there. They're not getting a strong enough piramid.
- 24:38Speaker 1: And now Wait a minute, Wait a minute. I know, well,
- 24:42Speaker 1: she ain't the biggest one I felt. Have you been
- 24:44Speaker 1: my felf? My child is not the biggest child. I
- 24:47Speaker 1: fell women because obviously you have not saved these chilling
- 24:51Speaker 1: and if some baby's so most I felt. Okay, hang
- 24:53Speaker 1: on a second, Andrew, I want you to calm down
- 24:55Speaker 1: a bit. Now, anybody's gonna calm down because I would
- 24:57Speaker 1: not already paid my money and this that's gonna be
- 24:59Speaker 1: talking about what parents? What Harrison said? Something is it?
- 25:03Speaker 1: Is it Carrie Man, I'm not I'm not gonna state
- 25:06Speaker 1: who it is, but let's just say it was several
- 25:09Speaker 1: Harris has got something to say about my child and
- 25:12Speaker 1: her position on the chim leaders chuad, Because if you
- 25:14Speaker 1: ain't saying to up no names, then I'm gonna linerstand
- 25:17Speaker 1: what you're calling me about. I'll tell you one thing.
- 25:19Speaker 1: When she get ourselves, I didn't pay my money, she
- 25:22Speaker 1: bet not be on no face. She better be in
- 25:25Speaker 1: the hour. I guarantee you that. Right now I have
- 25:27Speaker 1: been hanging with nobody said nothing to me about and
- 25:32Speaker 1: her way and all that. Okay, Angela, can you hear me?
- 25:35Speaker 1: I just wanted you to hear me clearly, I haven't
- 25:37Speaker 1: seen these young ladies yet. Once I see them, I
- 25:40Speaker 1: will critique what I think. You don't even need to
- 25:42Speaker 1: be calling me because you ain't even seeing nothing for
- 25:44Speaker 1: you calling me with something. He says, she's from some
- 25:46Speaker 1: other parents that's been skinny and gritted in my face,
- 25:49Speaker 1: and they now wanted to send nothing to me. They
- 25:52Speaker 1: have been to my house. We didn't have parties over
- 25:54Speaker 1: here with the competition every week end of other day,
- 25:57Speaker 1: and they couldn't say nothing to me about my baby.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I tell you what, why don't you call your girls
- 26:01Speaker 1: on the three way? Mr Chill? If you can't call
- 26:04Speaker 1: him on the three now I got them, I call
- 26:07Speaker 1: him on the three way. Okay, Okay, Look man, all
- 26:10Speaker 1: I wanted to do is make you aware of the
- 26:13Speaker 1: possibility that she may be Thank you you have made
- 26:16Speaker 1: me aware. And I guarantee you that if I bring
- 26:18Speaker 1: my big yellow up there and come to the practice,
- 26:20Speaker 1: I guarantee you she won't be a face how much
- 26:22Speaker 1: you want to be on that, Mr Chip Look, you
- 26:25Speaker 1: don't quit holler. I mean, I told you I would
- 26:27Speaker 1: try to take a look at these stirls. But I
- 26:29Speaker 1: tell you what your thought is gonna be a face
- 26:31Speaker 1: or she's gonna be a back support, whichever I decide.
- 26:34Speaker 1: She's starting to do who and the do you think
- 26:37Speaker 1: you're honing that? Mr? Chill, No, that's not how it's
- 26:42Speaker 1: gonna go down, as a matter of fact. As a
- 26:43Speaker 1: matter fact, Mr Chip, are you at the registration to
- 26:45Speaker 1: say but two days I'm here now while people are registering, Yes,
- 26:49Speaker 1: I am turning around. I'll tell you what. I'm on
- 26:52Speaker 1: my way up there. Why don't you and the Paris
- 26:55Speaker 1: has been complaining, why don't all y'all come to the
- 26:58Speaker 1: table and we don't have come to Jesus meeting about
- 27:00Speaker 1: whether it's gonna be for this coming up season because
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm not going to tolerate this. I've been told you,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I haven't paid my money and this high is going down?
- 27:10Speaker 1: What what is it to you, whether game wait or not?
- 27:12Speaker 1: What does they have to do with her chip meeting?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Do you agree that probably bigger than most of the
- 27:18Speaker 1: girls on the team is not bigger than most of
- 27:20Speaker 1: the girls on the team. Uh, Mom, Nick, daughter, it's
- 27:23Speaker 1: bigger than and she wasn't no base land ship. They
- 27:26Speaker 1: hiked up up some you're gonna get up to We're
- 27:28Speaker 1: all just gonna be big and plumped up in the air.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I haven't turned the round, and I'm here to tell
- 27:32Speaker 1: you a tracy table. You just be with it before
- 27:37Speaker 1: you get here. There's something else I need to tell you.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Ain't gonna tell me something. All you gotta do is men,
- 27:42Speaker 1: have you and the parents around that table when I
- 27:44Speaker 1: get there, because I'm on my way up there right now.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Then y'all can say all y'all gotta say in my
- 27:49Speaker 1: face before you getting I just want to let you know, man,
- 27:53Speaker 1: what this is? Nephew tim? Who this is on this phone? Wait? Women,

- 28:04Speaker 1: nephew time me from the Steve Harvey Morning Showy god,
- 28:14Speaker 1: oh lord, Rochelle, that's another parent named Rochelle. She told me,
- 28:19Speaker 1: y'all are good friends out there. She got so she
- 28:22Speaker 1: want to break out. All right, we're gonna see the

- 30:13Speaker 1: right now, coming up, coming up at the top of
- 30:16Speaker 1: the hour. Miss Anna is gonna be here with our
- 30:18Speaker 1: national news. Of course, First Lady, former First Lady Michelle
- 30:22Speaker 1: Obama is in the news. Wait till you hear this story.
- 30:24Speaker 1: It's so heartwarming. It cut. I'm entreating you, and that's
- 30:31Speaker 1: a hanging fool. You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, I love this story. I love this story.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Everyone is so moved about this video that's trending on
- 30:43Speaker 1: social media. Last week, this cute, cute, adorable, little two
- 30:48Speaker 1: year old girl named Parker was just in awe of
- 30:51Speaker 1: the portrait of former First Lady Michelle Obama at the
- 30:54Speaker 1: Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. Well, that portrait went viral. That
- 30:59Speaker 1: picture of that whole picture of her looking at the
- 31:01Speaker 1: portrait went viral, and the First Lady wanted to meet
- 31:05Speaker 1: little Parker. Well, Parker got a chance to meet her.
- 31:08Speaker 1: She wrote, Mrs Michelle Obama. They had a cute little
- 31:12Speaker 1: dance party together, they had a ball. I mean, it
- 31:15Speaker 1: was just this is just such a feel good, wonderful story.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Former First Lady tweeted, keep on dreaming big for yourself
- 31:23Speaker 1: and maybe one day I'll probably look up at a
- 31:26Speaker 1: portrait of you. Exactly the way it works that's exactly
- 31:34Speaker 1: the way it works. Everything in your imagination is real.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Imagination is not hocus pocus. Albert Einstein said, imagination is everything.
- 31:48Speaker 1: It's a preview to life's coming attractions. But actually that's
- 31:54Speaker 1: the second half of a very popular scripture. Faith is
- 31:58Speaker 1: a substance of things hope or and the evidence of
- 32:02Speaker 1: things not seen. Your imagination is actually the evidence of
- 32:08Speaker 1: things not seen. And the reason is the evidence of
- 32:12Speaker 1: things not seen because your imagination, you're the only one
- 32:15Speaker 1: can see it. Nobody else can see it. But so
- 32:19Speaker 1: your imagination is actually God showing you a coming of
- 32:23Speaker 1: a coming attraction of something that He has for you.
- 32:28Speaker 1: That's what your imagination is. It's very important to understand that. People,
- 32:33Speaker 1: you really think about it, you know, it's very powerful.
- 32:36Speaker 1: It's very powerful for all of us, for all of
- 32:40Speaker 1: us at whatever age you are, whatever age, as long
- 32:43Speaker 1: as right, and as long as you leave living, that's
- 32:47Speaker 1: a sure sign from God that he ain't through with
- 32:50Speaker 1: you yet. So when he wakes you up every day,
- 32:53Speaker 1: that's because He still has something more for you to
- 32:55Speaker 1: get that he hasn't been able to give to you
- 32:58Speaker 1: for whatever the reason. Now, many times, often times we
- 33:01Speaker 1: are blocking our own blessings and our own because of
- 33:05Speaker 1: how we are and something we're doing. But if you
- 33:08Speaker 1: could just you don't want to self check on yourself,
- 33:11Speaker 1: you can stop blocking some of your blessings. Wow, this
- 33:14Speaker 1: is like closing remarks right now. Next week, next week, now,
- 33:27Speaker 1: y'all get ready for the first lady, Miss Trump gonna
- 33:30Speaker 1: do the same thing that you're gonna helping me with
- 33:32Speaker 1: a little girl to help a part. Now you know
- 33:34Speaker 1: that's going to happen, a little dance party and everything,
- 33:37Speaker 1: dance part and everything. That looked like if she came
- 33:40Speaker 1: up with it like that, that was so cute. If
- 33:51Speaker 1: that little girl didn't had to burn, I thought that
- 33:53Speaker 1: was Tommy all right. Trump Economic His chief economics strategist,
- 34:01Speaker 1: Gary Cone, resigned while the President was making a statement
- 34:04Speaker 1: that there's no chaos in the White House and there's
- 34:07Speaker 1: another storm headed to the northeast. Uh, don't nobody work
- 34:13Speaker 1: up them. I'm convinced, Yeah, I know it's crazy. Steve,
- 34:18Speaker 1: please introduced Missy and she has more news for us. Well,
- 34:23Speaker 1: she's here, the lovely and talented MS and Trip. Thank you, Steve.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. This is and to put the news
- 34:30Speaker 1: in this there's a lot going on, a lot going on.
- 34:33Speaker 1: First of all, looks like congressional Republicans are still worried
- 34:36Speaker 1: about President Trump's announced plans to impose tariffs on imported
- 34:39Speaker 1: steel and aluminum. In fact, how speak of Paul Ryan
- 34:42Speaker 1: is now adding his voice to those against the We're
- 34:46Speaker 1: encouraging the administration to do is to focus on what
- 34:49Speaker 1: is clearly a legitimate problem and to be more surgical
- 34:52Speaker 1: in its approach, so we can go out to the
- 34:54Speaker 1: true abusers without creating any kind of untennic consequences or
- 34:57Speaker 1: collateral damage. Ryant says, the tariffs could end up jeopardizing
- 34:59Speaker 1: the economic growth that the GOP promised the voters when
- 35:02Speaker 1: they passed a new tax code by really ramping up
- 35:05Speaker 1: prices for things in this country. And yes, President Trump's
- 35:08Speaker 1: economic chief Gary Konas quit over Trump's insistence on imposing
- 35:12Speaker 1: those tariffs. The President says that's okay because people are
- 35:15Speaker 1: can't wait to work for his administration. The U. S Department,
- 35:19Speaker 1: the Justice Department suing the state of California over its
- 35:21Speaker 1: sanctuary policies, which allow illegal immigrants to stay there. In
- 35:25Speaker 1: West Virginia looks like the nine school Day statewide teacher
- 35:28Speaker 1: walk out in that state is about to end. The
- 35:29Speaker 1: teacher's union says their members are ready to get back
- 35:31Speaker 1: to the classroom as soon as legislation mandating a five
- 35:34Speaker 1: percent pay raise is okayed by both the Senate that
- 35:38Speaker 1: state and the state House. West Virginia Governor Jim Justice,
- 35:41Speaker 1: by the way, says, in fact, he struck a deal
- 35:42Speaker 1: that calls for a five percent raised for all state
- 35:45Speaker 1: employees in West Virginia. A white Florida public school teacher
- 35:49Speaker 1: has been removed from the classroom after it was found
- 35:50Speaker 1: out that she regularly hosted a white racist podcast where
- 35:54Speaker 1: she bragged about how she was spreading her hateful opinions
- 35:56Speaker 1: in the classroom. One of Diana Volich's podcast, one of
- 36:00Speaker 1: her guests suggests that white supremacist should become teachers and
- 36:03Speaker 1: infiltrate the nation schools, and Volage whole heartily agrees and
- 36:07Speaker 1: encourages that idea. The mayor of Nashville, Tennessee, resigned yesterday.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It has been my honor, and it has been the
- 36:13Speaker 1: privilege of my entire professional life, had the blessing and
- 36:17Speaker 1: the opportunity to be your mayor. Megan Barry made that
- 36:20Speaker 1: announcement after she pled guilty to one count of felony theft.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Berry has reportedly been under investigation ever since she revealed
- 36:26Speaker 1: that she had an extra mattal affair with her bodyguard.
- 36:28Speaker 1: An issue was whether the mayor misused tax fayer funds
- 36:31Speaker 1: and carrying out their liaison, you know, overtime and stuff
- 36:34Speaker 1: for him and all that. A charity running the name
- 36:36Speaker 1: of the late Philandro Castile has wiped out the daily
- 36:38Speaker 1: lunch dead of every single student and all fifty six
- 36:41Speaker 1: schools in the Minnesota St. Paul Public School District. PHILANDERCA.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Steele was the school nutrition supervisor who would dig into
- 36:48Speaker 1: his own pocket to pay for poor kids lunches. He
- 36:50Speaker 1: was pulled over at a traffic stop two years ago
- 36:53Speaker 1: by a local cop and shot to death after he
- 36:55Speaker 1: simply told the officers that he had licensed gun in
- 36:57Speaker 1: the car. If you remember his his fiance, I've streamed
- 37:00Speaker 1: his violent death at police officer, by the way, got
- 37:03Speaker 1: off on that. And finally, Today's national be scene in
- 37:06Speaker 1: her day. Well, we'll be back with more entertainment. Today's
- 37:13Speaker 1: trending topics twenty miss after the Hour on a Steve
- 37:14Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning show.
- 37:19Speaker 1: All Right, porn stars Stormy Daniel in the news again.
- 37:23Speaker 1: She's suing President Trump over a hush pack. She says
- 37:27Speaker 1: they drew up days before he was elected, but he
- 37:30Speaker 1: refused to sign. In the lawsuits, Stormy claims, I know, Steve,
- 37:34Speaker 1: you've been talking about this. Uh. Stormy claims Trump did
- 37:37Speaker 1: her dirty by not signing the agreement, which intended to
- 37:41Speaker 1: keep her from talking about their alleged two thousand and
- 37:43Speaker 1: six affair and hurting and hurting his presidential campaign. The
- 37:49Speaker 1: ex porn star says she signed on the dotted line,
- 37:52Speaker 1: as did Trump's attorney Michael Cohen. She says they used aliases.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Trump was David Dennison and she was Peggy Peterson and
- 38:00Speaker 1: in the contract, yeah, they wanted to maintain their confidentiality,
- 38:04Speaker 1: but he still never signed it. According to the documents,
- 38:07Speaker 1: this is obtained by that we're attained by TMZ. Cohen
- 38:11Speaker 1: contacted Daniel shortly after the Access Hollywood tape came out.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Stormy says Trump and Cohen caught when she might go
- 38:19Speaker 1: public and aggressively sought to silence her with the hush agreement.
- 38:24Speaker 1: As for her signing, bonus, the now infamous A hundred
- 38:27Speaker 1: and thirty thousand dollars. Yeah, hundred and thirty thousand. Cohen
- 38:31Speaker 1: has claimed he used his own personal funds to pay her,
- 38:35Speaker 1: not campaign funds, now his own personal funds. She's sewing
- 38:38Speaker 1: to get a judge to rule the agreement is invalid,
- 38:41Speaker 1: which presumably will clear the path for her to tell
- 38:44Speaker 1: it all. I mean, come on, yes, m the baking
- 38:50Speaker 1: my damn it. Wow, amateur. We should we should the dependent,
- 38:59Speaker 1: we should have never heard of by this. Well, he's tough.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Line done though, Steve, don't you think this probably won't
- 39:04Speaker 1: stick to him nothing from the very beginning. These cats
- 39:09Speaker 1: at that level right there, they're gonna come out the woodwork. Now,
- 39:14Speaker 1: am I stunned that it's a pawn star? Yeah, just
- 39:17Speaker 1: a little bit, Just a little bit, I mean yeah,
- 39:21Speaker 1: just a little bit. Though. You really need to upgrade,
- 39:25Speaker 1: I really need to what you're out here with the
- 39:28Speaker 1: pawn start for? I mean, don't you could have cut
- 39:31Speaker 1: this deal with somebody way more valid than that. Now
- 39:35Speaker 1: you got porn star. She don't want to hold up
- 39:37Speaker 1: her end of the deal. When did she become ethical?
- 39:43Speaker 1: She a pawn star? These ain't ethical? People. If you
- 39:49Speaker 1: were lay down with anybody for a certain amount of money,
- 39:52Speaker 1: your ethics is out the window. So am I surprised
- 39:56Speaker 1: she's coming back now she wants to tell the story. No,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I'm not surprised. Something to this. But what they're gonna
- 40:01Speaker 1: do don't understand data, don't His supporters don't care. They
- 40:06Speaker 1: don't don't know. So it's when it happened before he ran.
- 40:13Speaker 1: It's over paid the money. It's nothing they do. All right, listen.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty four after the hour Mary's divorces final,
- 40:25Speaker 1: Steve and is separating from his wife as well. You
- 40:31Speaker 1: heard me. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 40:37Speaker 1: every since. All right, Now, this is according to Essence
- 40:42Speaker 1: Magazine Steve Harvey. No more drama, No more drama for
- 40:47Speaker 1: our girl. We love her. She made history with being
- 40:51Speaker 1: nominated for two Oscars. Mary J. Blige, Okay, she finalized
- 40:57Speaker 1: her divorce, Yes she did from her ex husband and
- 41:00Speaker 1: do Isaac's here's here's some of the terms. She will
- 41:04Speaker 1: be paying him thirty thousand dollars thirty dollars a month. Okay,
- 41:10Speaker 1: that's it. Well listen now, yeah he's a former manager.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Now wait now, remember he demanded a hundred and thirty
- 41:18Speaker 1: thousand a month for spousal support. You remember that, right
- 41:22Speaker 1: when he asked for that. I think you went in
- 41:24Speaker 1: on him, Tommy. So she only has to pay him
- 41:28Speaker 1: thirty thousand. Okay, what what? What? What spousal support? Okay,
- 41:34Speaker 1: I just told you I support myself. I'm trying to
- 41:39Speaker 1: figure out for what. Hey, alright, look that's what she's
- 41:47Speaker 1: paying him. He wanted a hundred thousand dollars more. So,
- 41:50Speaker 1: I mean it sounds like Mary's pretty happy about that.
- 41:53Speaker 1: We're glad this chapter is closed for Mary and now
- 41:55Speaker 1: she can truly be happy like the song says. Okay,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and yeah, this is some sad news as well. Um
- 42:04Speaker 1: Usher and his wife Grace Um are getting a divorce.
- 42:08Speaker 1: They married back in two thousand and fifteen. They released
- 42:12Speaker 1: a statement after much thought and consideration, we have mutually
- 42:15Speaker 1: decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected,
- 42:20Speaker 1: loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the
- 42:23Speaker 1: next phases of our lives. And very sad to say
- 42:27Speaker 1: that because we we love ussher. Yeah really, really we were.
- 42:31Speaker 1: I thought they made a lovely couple. Steve. I'm sure
- 42:34Speaker 1: there are plenty of folks who are going through divorce.
- 42:37Speaker 1: And this is why I call your name right now,
- 42:39Speaker 1: because I want you to give them some expert on
- 42:49Speaker 1: my third Man, Oh, now I got to beat I
- 42:53Speaker 1: got to beat a sauce. Now we're talking about divorce.
- 42:55Speaker 1: S have a brother, Steve to help us. I can't
- 43:02Speaker 1: help nobody hanging there, but I got nude. Are you
- 43:08Speaker 1: mad a wrong one? When the divorces over, it ain't over.
- 43:14Speaker 1: They keep coming up with stuff. At least your ass
- 43:18Speaker 1: ain't on the checkout counter. What do you mean the
- 43:21Speaker 1: checkout I've been on the inquine about me? Yeah, maybe
- 43:29Speaker 1: just lying about me when they want to. I ain't
- 43:31Speaker 1: got nothing to say. Go ahead and say whatever you
- 43:33Speaker 1: want to say. I'm gonna keep taking these blessings and
- 43:36Speaker 1: going to the house. But it sounds like they're taking
- 43:38Speaker 1: the high road though. You know this, Yeah, this is
- 43:42Speaker 1: not going to be an ugly, nasty divorce. It sounds
- 43:44Speaker 1: like that with the statement divorce was over in two
- 43:47Speaker 1: thousand five. Man, I'm still in the damn paper divorce over. Hey,
- 43:58Speaker 1: are you talking about the high road? Thirteen years? Hell?
- 44:02Speaker 1: The high road have on the highway, the high road
- 44:08Speaker 1: helping it out of listen to me two thousand five,
- 44:19Speaker 1: still talking about for what? Still you survived? You're doing better? You? Yeah?
- 44:28Speaker 1: You he Shelly, you ain't gotta you, ain't gotta juice Meal.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I ain't release some stories matter. In fact, this is
- 44:41Speaker 1: the first story I've ever released, and I'm telling it now.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I was divorced in two thousand five. Go on somewhere
- 44:50Speaker 1: in the words of Sherley Strawberry's mama, everyone has seen,
- 44:55Speaker 1: go sit down, have a saint. Yeah, please go sit down.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Everyone has seen the last time we're talking about the
- 45:13Speaker 1: voice on this show. Yeah what you bring it up?
- 45:16Speaker 1: Because you're like a love doctor anyway, Okay, we'll move on. Nephew, Tommy,
- 45:21Speaker 1: they have nothing do with little it's coming up with
- 45:24Speaker 1: to bring phone call right after love got to do
- 45:27Speaker 1: what you're listening to. Steve Harvey Morning Show bought it
- 45:33Speaker 1: up on the first place, the radio show man. We
- 45:40Speaker 1: were gonna bring him too. Damn the voice, J Blige give,
- 45:44Speaker 1: damn Steve. What should they do? How the hell I
- 45:48Speaker 1: know what they push? Are you quite done? Hey, I'll
- 45:51Speaker 1: do what I do. Go over there and trying to
- 45:52Speaker 1: sit down and let it pass. Anybody that I let
- 46:01Speaker 1: it go, moved on. I have a new wife, happy family, grandparents.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Now I'm living my life. Why let me ask y'all,
- 46:14Speaker 1: So why y'all ain't spoke up sitting happy? I've been
- 46:27Speaker 1: damn thing with me. I looked around in this foxhole
- 46:30Speaker 1: and ain't nobody in it but me. All right, well,
- 46:33Speaker 1: let me tell you this, Steve. Let me tell you this.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 46:37Speaker 1: four minutes after it's today Strawberry letter to promote the
- 46:42Speaker 1: show where moving on? I'm trying to more like life.
- 46:46Speaker 1: You're trying to move life goes? Oh what did you
- 46:51Speaker 1: just say? Yes? Ain't that what I've been trying? No, no, no,
- 46:59Speaker 1: I have, but they ain't. But y'all said a damn
- 47:02Speaker 1: thing on my behalf. I'm tired of working with you.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Striberry letters. Subject how important it's physical attraction, But right now,
- 47:11Speaker 1: get a divorce. Watch what happens now? You tell me
- 47:17Speaker 1: is here with his prank phone call? Come on, me
- 47:19Speaker 1: and my Jesus, Me and my Jesus running Hello, I'm
- 47:26Speaker 1: trying to reach your sister. How you doing. I'm giving
- 47:30Speaker 1: you a call on behalf of Baptist Church. You are
- 47:34Speaker 1: a member there am I right, Yes, I am. Okay, listen, um,
- 47:39Speaker 1: I'm calling you. They some of the members have gotten
- 47:42Speaker 1: together and had a meeting and wanted me to give
- 47:45Speaker 1: you a call. It seems that a lot of them
- 47:50Speaker 1: are complaining about Sunday services that go on and wanted
- 47:55Speaker 1: for me to give you a call on their behalf
- 47:57Speaker 1: so that we can see if we can address the
- 47:59Speaker 1: problem and talk to you diligently as possible and try
- 48:03Speaker 1: to get the problem rectified. What's going on, Well, it
- 48:07Speaker 1: seems like that a lot of members are complaining. I'm sorry,
- 48:13Speaker 1: and what is your name again? My name is man Uh.
- 48:17Speaker 1: I'm not actually a member of the church. I've just
- 48:19Speaker 1: been the one that they've been asked to give you
- 48:20Speaker 1: a call and try to talk on the members behalfs
- 48:23Speaker 1: so maybe we can get this problem rectify that you
- 48:26Speaker 1: that they have Uh, as far as you are concerned, Okay,
- 48:30Speaker 1: go ahead. What I'm just trying to see what this
- 48:31Speaker 1: is in regards to go ahead, Well, it seems like
- 48:34Speaker 1: the members of the church are complaining about that you're
- 48:37Speaker 1: doing too much shouting at church on Sunday, and it
- 48:42Speaker 1: seems to be going on every Sunday. You're running up
- 48:44Speaker 1: and down the aisle and you're shouting all over the place,
- 48:47Speaker 1: and me, I've been singled out about my shouting. Wellever
- 48:53Speaker 1: Dinly's distracting, man, You're distracting everyone from getting the word
- 48:57Speaker 1: and listening to the word and being involved in the service.
- 49:00Speaker 1: And that's the purpose of the call is to see
- 49:02Speaker 1: if we can get you to tone it down something. Okay,
- 49:05Speaker 1: So the whole church is complaining about me shouting the
- 49:07Speaker 1: way people run up and down them off every Sunday
- 49:10Speaker 1: and almost playing cart wheels and flips, and they're singling
- 49:14Speaker 1: me out, complained about me. Well, ma'am, I don't know
- 49:17Speaker 1: how it is that you can see everybody else doing
- 49:19Speaker 1: cart wheels when you're the ones that they say is
- 49:21Speaker 1: the one that's doing them. Am I being singled out? Man?
- 49:25Speaker 1: All I'm saying is that they're saying that you're doing
- 49:28Speaker 1: too much shouting and too much running at this church.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Now I'm just the message. Okay. Well, they can't tell
- 49:33Speaker 1: me how to shout. They don't. They can't tell me
- 49:35Speaker 1: what's going on in my life, what's gonna keep me
- 49:37Speaker 1: from praising God? And they I mean, they could just
- 49:40Speaker 1: they could go somewhere else. With that, But they're not
- 49:42Speaker 1: gonna tell me that I can't praise my God. They
- 49:45Speaker 1: don't know how good God it's been to me. And
- 49:47Speaker 1: you know what, I understand that I agree with you wholeheartedly,
- 49:50Speaker 1: but it's becoming a distraction. I mean, they was at
- 49:54Speaker 1: the point last night talking about should we put some
- 49:56Speaker 1: seatbelts on the pews so so you can stay down,
- 49:59Speaker 1: we stay well, put some see high. They gonna tell
- 50:01Speaker 1: people they can't shout in church, embrace God? What do
- 50:04Speaker 1: we call the church for? Well? You do come to
- 50:06Speaker 1: we need to be trying to plaise God and get
- 50:08Speaker 1: they all shout on and stop looking at me and
- 50:10Speaker 1: about what I'm doing. We're gonna need you to quit
- 50:12Speaker 1: running up and down these aisles and doing what I'm sorry.
- 50:16Speaker 1: You know, I'm trying to stay calm. I'm trying my best.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Jesus sure that that's not happy. You can't tell me
- 50:24Speaker 1: I gotta stop shouting. Okay, man, but let me ask you,
- 50:27Speaker 1: are you running now? Aren't you just standing still talking?
- 50:30Speaker 1: But I don't have to run right now? Okay, What
- 50:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you to do, like if I
- 50:35Speaker 1: want to run up and down this street right now,
- 50:36Speaker 1: I can run up and down the street and plase God,
- 50:38Speaker 1: but they're not gonna tell me to stop shouting at church.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Can we get you to be a little bit more
- 50:42Speaker 1: reserved as what we see? Man, let me let me
- 50:44Speaker 1: go ahead and go further on what they do. Spirit moves. Okay, well,
- 50:49Speaker 1: let me move and tell you what they've told me. Now.
- 50:53Speaker 1: If we can't get to the point where you can,
- 50:56Speaker 1: you know, tone it down, then we may have to
- 50:58Speaker 1: ask you to leave. I want them to ask me, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
- 51:05Speaker 1: you ask me, why don't they want me to leave
- 51:08Speaker 1: the church. I've been at that church for sixteen years.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I'm not leaving the church. I'm gonna run up and down.
- 51:13Speaker 1: I'm not gonna run on the church. I don't even
- 51:16Speaker 1: turn me some clips where am I I feel like
- 51:19Speaker 1: not not not not not listen? Think that that's all.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I'm okay, go ahead, but I'm gonna be there. I'm
- 51:24Speaker 1: going to I am going to be there on Sunday. Man,
- 51:27Speaker 1: and I have been the person that's been appointed to
- 51:30Speaker 1: make sure that you're not running up and down these
- 51:32Speaker 1: outs and shotting like this. You've got to keep yourself reserved,
- 51:35Speaker 1: so people can hear the word of God. You are
- 51:38Speaker 1: standing in people's word. That's what you're doing. You're in
- 51:40Speaker 1: the whale I want. If they come trying to sit
- 51:42Speaker 1: me down, I'm gonna get them a word and ain't
- 51:44Speaker 1: gonna be a God. Put that hands up on me here,
- 51:47Speaker 1: not listen. I'm trying to hear that. Now. You get
- 51:49Speaker 1: that I haven't been in that church fifteen years. If
- 51:52Speaker 1: I want to run, dance, shout, jump, whatever I want
- 51:55Speaker 1: to do, I'm gonna do it. Ain't nobody gonna stop me.
- 51:58Speaker 1: You're gonna have to stop this. Past Sunday was your
- 52:01Speaker 1: last Sunday doing it, and you're not going to do
- 52:03Speaker 1: it this sne like I said, just why? And I'm
- 52:06Speaker 1: telling you could tell the nsues, the deacon boyd, the deaconess,
- 52:10Speaker 1: the minister's wives or who all asked you want to
- 52:12Speaker 1: tell let him put their hands on me and see
- 52:14Speaker 1: if I don't swing on them. I'm gonna come right
- 52:15Speaker 1: about the spirit and swing on. I'm telling you that
- 52:18Speaker 1: now because he said you didn't really push me that
- 52:20Speaker 1: I have tried. Let me ask you this here where
- 52:24Speaker 1: is trying to show that I'm saying, but you make it.
- 52:27Speaker 1: You if you're making me revert back to my own
- 52:29Speaker 1: ways and you you really off, that's what you're gonna do. Okay, well,
- 52:32Speaker 1: let me ask you this, What is the God at
- 52:34Speaker 1: right now? And you where is the one that say
- 52:38Speaker 1: the God was killing me? When I was trying to
- 52:40Speaker 1: be called you had fired to tell you know, me
- 52:41Speaker 1: calling me with this polishness. But now you've made the
- 52:44Speaker 1: other side of me rose up. Well, you wouldn't raised
- 52:46Speaker 1: it up, and now you wouldn't raised it up in
- 52:48Speaker 1: me too. Guess what come Sunday, You're gonna set you
- 52:51Speaker 1: in that pew and you ain't gonna say you know
- 52:54Speaker 1: when you call yourself in the pew. Okay, I like,
- 52:59Speaker 1: I'm going see how well I'm shitting at pep matter fact, first, say,
- 53:03Speaker 1: Sunday morning, I'm going to past Oh yeah, well, deacon
- 53:06Speaker 1: you are whatever your name is. I'm gonna telling about
- 53:09Speaker 1: it how you need to lose. I would be talking
- 53:13Speaker 1: to Pastor myself and letting him know about this situation.
- 53:16Speaker 1: You don't talk. You don't know we can call pass right,
- 53:19Speaker 1: we just passing, dol. You don't talk to pastor. I
- 53:23Speaker 1: talked to Pastor Patt this church Sympty, Yes, like I said,
- 53:27Speaker 1: I'm telling, oh, Jesus, you feel old Jesus, not not
- 53:32Speaker 1: not not not See just like this here you see
- 53:33Speaker 1: how you're calling on him and you standing yeah, because
- 53:36Speaker 1: I'm calling on him to kid me from just really
- 53:38Speaker 1: going to cuss you out right there, because you've been
- 53:40Speaker 1: really hitting my nerves. I got one more thing I
- 53:43Speaker 1: need to say to you, lady. You know you gotta
- 53:45Speaker 1: say real quick cause you're gonna talk to this operator
- 53:47Speaker 1: that's his nephew timing from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 54:37Speaker 1: and mar to say at the Sunday Memphis, Tennessee. I
- 54:41Speaker 1: will be at Chuckles Comedy Club in Memphis. All right,
- 54:45Speaker 1: Think enough you strawberry letter up next, How important is
- 54:48Speaker 1: physical attraction? You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 54:54Speaker 1: listen now before we get to today's strawberry letter, and
- 54:56Speaker 1: it's a good one. The subject, how important is physical
- 54:59Speaker 1: or try action? We gotta send some prayers out and
- 55:02Speaker 1: some good vibes over to our our our listeners. In
- 55:05Speaker 1: the Northeast, they are bracing for yet another blast of winter,
- 55:10Speaker 1: as winter storm warnings are in effect from eastern Pennsylvania
- 55:13Speaker 1: all the way north to Maine. And while accumulation amounts
- 55:17Speaker 1: very widely, forecasters say some we'll see ten inches of
- 55:22Speaker 1: snow or more with some areas, yeah, getting up to
- 55:26Speaker 1: twenty inches. Uh. Please check your local stations for state
- 55:30Speaker 1: of emergency information, school closures and more. Okay, so be
- 55:35Speaker 1: aware of that. Ten to twenty inches in some places.
- 55:37Speaker 1: That's a lot, some kind of one. Yes, it has, Yes,
- 55:40Speaker 1: it has. Because you think it's over. It's almost spring. Yeah,
- 55:46Speaker 1: it's almost spring. And here they're getting what you WoT.
- 55:50Speaker 1: All right, Tommy, let's go, it's time. Don't see it.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Three people just walk here just staying you know, your
- 56:00Speaker 1: monal body in here coming in and look at us
- 56:06Speaker 1: and me and say I'm doing they know you it's
- 56:12Speaker 1: time Strawberry Letta, all right, thank you enough you subject?
- 56:16Speaker 1: How important is physical attraction? Dear Stephen Shirley. I am
- 56:21Speaker 1: a forty year old female, no kids, and never been married.
- 56:25Speaker 1: I've been dating a man for two months and he's
- 56:27Speaker 1: a great guy that's consistent, thoughtful, and a hard worker.
- 56:32Speaker 1: He has all of the qualities I'm looking for in
- 56:35Speaker 1: a mate. But here's my problem. I'm not physically attracted
- 56:39Speaker 1: to him. He's a little overweight and he's really shy.
- 56:43Speaker 1: We have a decent enough time together when we go out,
- 56:46Speaker 1: but he's not very talkative, so I do most of
- 56:49Speaker 1: the talking. He's already telling me that he loves me
- 56:52Speaker 1: and that he knows my feelings aren't the same for him.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Yet he has he He has been talking about marriage,
- 56:58Speaker 1: and I told him that he was moving too fast
- 57:01Speaker 1: for me. I feel like I'm just going through the
- 57:04Speaker 1: motions because I like the companionship. I am trying hard
- 57:08Speaker 1: to feel butterflies or some kind of attraction to him,
- 57:12Speaker 1: but there's nothing there. I was told that I should
- 57:14Speaker 1: be with someone who loves me more than I love him.
- 57:17Speaker 1: Is this true? How could I be in love. How
- 57:20Speaker 1: could he be in love with me after only two months?
- 57:23Speaker 1: If I continue to date him, well, I eventually want
- 57:26Speaker 1: to have sex with him? Well I ever love him
- 57:29Speaker 1: as much as he loves me? Or should I end
- 57:31Speaker 1: this now so he doesn't end up getting hurt? Please help?
- 57:35Speaker 1: Or do you have a lot of questions? I mean
- 57:38Speaker 1: it's only been two months. I say, slow down. You
- 57:41Speaker 1: want him to slow down? I want you to slow
- 57:42Speaker 1: down too, because you're really getting ahead of yourself. Um.
- 57:46Speaker 1: You know with all these questions, a little some of
- 57:49Speaker 1: them a little crazy. UM, I think these are the
- 57:52Speaker 1: concerns you should have. Is he a good man? Do
- 57:55Speaker 1: his actions match with his word? Does he treat you well?
- 57:59Speaker 1: I mean you all? And he said that he was thoughtful,
- 58:01Speaker 1: he was a hard worker. You know, you said you
- 58:04Speaker 1: like the companionship, all of that stuff. Uh, you know.
- 58:07Speaker 1: The negatives were that he wasn't very talkative and you
- 58:11Speaker 1: have to do most of the talking when you're together,
- 58:13Speaker 1: and that you know that you're not attracted to him.
- 58:15Speaker 1: I get that, but but you know, the hard worker,
- 58:19Speaker 1: the good man, and you know, does he does he
- 58:21Speaker 1: mean what he say? Things like that? Those are some
- 58:23Speaker 1: of the characteristics that you look for in a good man.
- 58:26Speaker 1: So to answer your question, though, yes, physical attraction is important,
- 58:31Speaker 1: but if you're gonna look like to build a relationship
- 58:35Speaker 1: or eventually get into a marriage with someone down the line,
- 58:39Speaker 1: you need more than just the physical Okay, you need
- 58:42Speaker 1: you just need more than that. I mean, that's not
- 58:44Speaker 1: going to sustain you, sustain you throughout a marriage and
- 58:47Speaker 1: a relationship. You need some of the other characteristics to
- 58:50Speaker 1: go with that. So I mean, I say give it time.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Two months is a very short period. Uh. You know,
- 58:57Speaker 1: you might have a change of heart. You might grow
- 59:00Speaker 1: to care about this man if he treats you you know,
- 59:03Speaker 1: very well and all of that, uh you know. And
- 59:06Speaker 1: if not, you know, you can let him go and
- 59:08Speaker 1: be free for another woman. But if it doesn't work,
- 59:10Speaker 1: it doesn't work. But I think I still think two
- 59:13Speaker 1: months is too early to tell Steve. Lord, Lord, Lord,
- 59:19Speaker 1: I can't believe you didn't miss this whole letter, did
- 59:22Speaker 1: I selling you such a nice person, wonderful things you
- 59:27Speaker 1: said to this woman. But this ain't what this letter
- 59:31Speaker 1: is about. Enlighten us, Steve, how important is physical attraction?
- 59:37Speaker 1: Let me just get to what this letter is about.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Just a fart of your old female with no kids,
- 59:42Speaker 1: have never been married. M hm, chick, somebody ain't been
- 59:46Speaker 1: that physically attracted to Huh, you're gonna say that? Just
- 59:51Speaker 1: start hello, Hello, checkmate. I've been dating a man for
- 59:59Speaker 1: two months. He's g a guy that's consistent, thoughtful, and
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: hard worker. He got all the quis I'm looking for
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: in the mail. But here's my problem. I am not
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: physically attracted to him. He's a little overweight and he's
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: really shy. Bam, that's what the latter about. Ugly, he
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: fat and he know it. What this letter is about.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: This man is ugly, he fat, and he know it.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Listen to me, I'm not physically attracted to him. That's
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: cause he ugly. He's a little overweight and he fat,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and he shot he know it, and pushed him into
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: a shield, ugly his whole life, and then threw the
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: man into a sheldy. We have a decent enough time
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: together when we go out, but he's not very talking.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: He's not talking to because he can't believe you steal him.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: He can't believe you still him. So he tried not
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: to say too much so he don't blow it. So
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: he's sitting hire man I can't open my damn mouth.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Hold on, hold up, so I do most of the talking.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: He letting you leave. He's already telling me that he
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: loves me, and he knows my feelings are the same.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: The reason he's telling you that it's because he ain't
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: never got this far, befolks, So he no, your feelings
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: for him ain't the same. I ain't upend this farther far.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: No way you could love me the way I love
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you with my fat of the letters in the letter
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: shull and you're not seeing it. He's been talking about Madge.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: You're not telling me moving to fair. What you meant
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: was he'd been talking about mad And you don't know
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: if you can keep looking at it for the rest
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: of your life to death, do you part. That's what
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: this letter is about. We come back, I explain the rest. Oh,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: it's gonna be more of the same, all right. The
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: subject is how important is physical attraction? He's a fourty
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: year old female wanting to know how important is physical attraction.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: He's a little overweight and shy. He talked, She talked
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: a lot. He doesn't talk at all. We'll be back.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Not physically attracted to him, ugly. We'll be back he is.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Steve's response, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: All right, coming up in about twenty minutes, we're gonna
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: take some questions for the one and only Steve Harvey
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: and her asked Steve's segment. Okay, so get ready eight
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine Steve eight seven seven twenty and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Steve is the number to call. But come on, Steve
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: right now, we need you for part. Well, here we go.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Shirley didn't understand important it's physical or trash? Well is everything?
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Even in this letter she's dating a man that she
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: says she's not physically attracted to him. He's a little
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: overweight and he's really shot. That's because he's ugly overweight,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: it's fat, And the shyness is he knows you ain't
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: the first person to tell him you ugly and fat.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: That's why he shot. He has heard this reform. He
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: just waiting on you to repeat it. That's the sht.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Now you gotta do all the talking because you're talking
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: to him, and he quied, you damn right it quiet.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: He trying not to blow it. He's talking about marriage.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I told him he's moving too fast for me. That's
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: too fast for you. Ain't nothing too fast for him.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I feel as I'm going through the motions because I
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: like the companionship. I am trying hard to feel butterflies
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: or some kind of attraction to him, but there's nothing. Now,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: it's hard to feel something for ugly person. You want
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: butterflies hard. See butterflies is a fluttering in your stomach
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: when you look at your man and it turns your store.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: That's another feeling. See butterflies is something fluttering in your
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: stomach when you're looking at him man, and it tans
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: your stomach and you feel a little, you feel swallowing it,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: and you had you know, you know how you feel
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: right for you throw up? I don't know how you
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: start tasting the inside of your mouth. Yeah, that's because
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: he ugly Steve. Now, she says he's a good man.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Most ugly men make good men. We have to we
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: got now, no, so you have to say we I've
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: been on the track, understand that. So I understand that.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: But I got I got some other things working for
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: me that helped me out, Okay, Like you know, I
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: got sense of humor. You know, I got nice teeth,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: and two dimples. When I gained a lot of weight
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: to dimples. Its connected. So it's just a line going
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: under my fight. But when I keep my weight down,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I have dimples. And then and then I went out
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: and I made myself some money. You fine, you see that.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Don't say it now? Now he ain't done that. Now,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: I was told that I should be with someone who
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: loves me more than I love him. Well, now you
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: have it. He already got that for you. Now, how
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: could he be in love with me after only two months?
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Because he ugly? The fact that you didn't set that
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: cross from him for two months has called him to
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: love me. He ain't never set cross from nobody for
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: two months. Dinner, laughing, having fun. You damn right, he
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: want to marry you. If I continue to date him,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I would eventually want to have sex with him. Now
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: that not Now, that's when it's gonna get real hard.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna just tell you right now what means it's
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: hard to have sex with an ugly person. I've done
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: that with the lights off. The hardest part of sex
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: with an ugly person it's afterwards. What do you mean,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: because you got to deal with yourself after that you
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: start asking yourself questions like how could have? What's wrong
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: with the hell was I thinking? I need? Then you
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: gotta go to the Lord ask for forgiveness. You ever
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: been with somebody so fine you didn't even bother asking
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: the Lord for forgiveness? But wouldn't they tow up? You
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: gotta go to it. I would eventually want to have
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: sex with him. I want to see that. It's gonna
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: be hard. When you get through, though, and you're sitting
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: up looking at him, you're gonna realize what you're doing. Well,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I ever love him as much as he loves me.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: That's impossible. You can't love but ugly they love it?
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: How do you know? And ugly? A lot of times
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: in my life I put some loveing on you. Girl.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: You ain't been to go now because I loved you?
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Or should I end this right now? So he doesn't
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: end up getting hurt? He hurt every morning when he looked,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: he got a wake up. Can't hurt people? Know more?
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Unless he took all the mirrors out of his house.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: He hurt every morning. It's hard to hurt ugly people.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: We already to hurt. Oh, now it's we it's been weed.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: I know what I'm talking about. What I'm staying that
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: is un Tommy ain't not riding this with y'all here
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: thinking you attracted with your strange looking sick you want
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: like a turtle built like one too? Is that that's
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: a shale? He's got no jawn line. I don't think
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: he cute, could hold up? He could that be time? No, no, no,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: not any time, no no no. Key had never been married.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Ain't I'm not physically attractive to him. He a little old. Wait,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: and he really shot. Tommy ain't shot. To combat it,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: his ugliness and to the opposite, we have to come
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: forward with he is so he overacts to act like
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: he's not. He learned that at the school. Down the
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: detail US or Instagram. What's your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter?
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Became a theater major to deal with his looks. Better
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: join me tomorrow at one pm Eastern Time on Facebook Live. Okay,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: coming up, don't forget asked Steve at eight seven seven
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: twenty nine, Steve, We'll be back right after this. You're
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: asked you to call in for our Asked Steve segment
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: eight seven seven twenty nine Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: So don't forget. Yeah, let's go to line four, Line four, guys.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: M alright, let's go. What's your name? Good morning? My
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: name is Deshanna, Good morning. How are you? Um? Okay? So,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: I'm a very five year old UM widow of UM
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: four years now. UM. Last year I kind of started
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: dating kind of seriously where we kind of put my
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: feet out there whatnot, and met a guy, very nice,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: very handsome. The only thing is is that UM, he's
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: very very involved in his children's lives. He's a divorced
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: children involved in his children's lives, I mean activities, activities, activities,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: and it takes up a lot of his time. And
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: although I like him, I just want to know should
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I continue to see him and try to get serious
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: with him, or just, you know, maybe UM step out
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: and started dating other people as well, because UM one
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: thing about me I need consistency in a person. And
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: we've been dating six omer and I don't feel like
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: our relationship is where it should be at for as
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: long as we've known each other. Well, let me ask
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: you a question. Do you have children? I do I
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: have two children, um, see, and you've been dating for
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: how long? Um? Since our Colbert last year, So we're
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: looking at how long is that, ma'il come on? About
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: six months or so? Six months? Is he involved in
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: your children's lives at all? But you know what we
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: have our children have not met yet, and I so
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: kind of like because of the because we don't really
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: know his doesn't really really well yet. I didn't want
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: our children to meet me as yet or you know,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: has he met Let me ask you a question, has
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: he met your children? No? Sir, Okay, you're wasting your time.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: You're absolutely wasting your time. If a woman has children
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: and you've been dating a man for six months, this
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: is not a question of whether we should continue. You
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: don't even know if he likes your kids. You are
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: a package deal, just like he is a package deal
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: if he If six months have gone by and he
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: hasn't met your children, what are you doing? Because this
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: is the whole key to this relationship. Are these kids
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: because both of you have them. So now meet your kids. Tom,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm just asking. Steve doesn't see you have
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: to introduce the kids to him. That's that's what we're
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: talking about this now. See you're nerves are We can
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: hear you hitting the table. Okay, but do you not
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: hear me talking to this woman about he has not
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: met the kids. If you don't, this is why they
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: ain't asked Tommy. See, I've I've told people that you've
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: got to You've got to have the man meet these
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: kids if you have them as soon as possible at
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: a convenient public place McDonald's with the playground in front
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: of it. So when y'all sitting there eating your little
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: fist sandwich and they're running back in and forth, you
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: can see how he operate with the kids. If he
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: can't form any relationship with your kids, he can't have
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: relationship with you. And if you can't have a relationship
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: with his kids and he's so active in the lives,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: then you can't have relationship with him. How many children
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: does he have? We both have two of their actually
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: around the same age. See, this could be a good thing,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: but until you all put them together, you're never gonna know.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Now your husband, why, oh you wouldn't right, No, no, no,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: I'm yeah, I'm a with um. Okay, cool. Now it's
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: his his wife ex wife is probably still living yes, yeah,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: see that some gotta work here, because you've got a
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: lot of moving parts. It will serve you best to
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: see if he can meet, to arrange for him to
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: meet the kids, just to see how I feel about it.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: He might just like his kids. It's me and like
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: that it's me and just like their kids. But if
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: he's really active in his kids life, that's a good thing,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: because you want a man that cares about children. He
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: could have the same caring thing about your kids. All
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: he might consider it too big a responsibility. The best
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: way to find out is to let the kids meet
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: him at a public place, at a park. A matter
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: of fact, having break y'all, y'all go out together. We're
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: all four of the kids. We can sell it right here.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: We can find out if the kids like you, if
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: you like them, if he like if you like, if
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: he likes yours and yours like him. We go to
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: the park together. Okay, thank you so much. That's my
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: best suggestion to you, sweetheart. And if and if they
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: don't like each other, she should move on with her life.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: And yeah, yeah see, because then you're in the uphill battle.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: You're not gonna win that war. You're not gonna leave
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: your kids for no man. That's that's not going to happen,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: not nothing. Not being the sister you are, You're not
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: gonna leave your kids for no man. Okay, okay, thank
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: you Tommy. What are you thinking that he would bring
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: up such an important that all don't know? If we
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: have time to get to the next one. We have
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: about sixty seconds left left, but let's go to line
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: six and talk to Sharon out of Queens, New York. Hey, Sharon, Hi, Steve,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: I listened to you every day, and I'm going to
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: try to be because I know you have six day seconds.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: I work in an institution where I give a patients
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: and there is one person there that is a torn
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: in everybody's side. And I know I listened to you
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: every morning with your inspirational speech. But Steve, she is
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: getting on everybody's nerves. She has a file of tick
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: as I don know what, and got on the system.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: The management is not getting rid of her, but she
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: gets on everybody's news. You know she does she does
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: things that it's not institution or she worked there there. Yeah,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: hang on our deal to whom we come back, don't
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: all right, We'll be back with sharing with more of
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: asked Steve eight seven seven T nine, Steve, that was crazy.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: You're listening to the stew all right, listen, we are
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: in the middle of asked Steve today eight seven seven.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: I have a new resolution that I'm gonna make for
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: two thousand eighteen year. Yeah, we got sharing on the phone.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Eight seven Say you're from Jamaica, Trinidad, that same thing exactly,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Lovely Island. Right now. You got a lady at your
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: job that you all don't like. It's not we don't
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: like her, it's just that she is a torn in
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: everybody's side. Coin. She got a coin where she's born.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: She's a thorn in everyone's side. Okay, that's what she
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: just said. Okay, ma'am, tell tell me that again. She's
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: just thorn in everybody's side, some kind in your side.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: So she's thrown on everybody's side. Okay. So what do
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: you what do you want you want to find a
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: way to do? What? What do you want me to
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: help you how to deal with it on a daily basis? Okay?
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Let me how many of you okay? How many of
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: y'all work in the department? A lot? Okay? How many? Okay?
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: D SO, and it's just she's the worst employee one
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: of them. Yes, but she's like to the top. Oh,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: you can't do nothing with her. It's really on their nerves.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: She on your nerves. She in a supervisor capacity? No,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: she's not. She's on the same level as I. Why
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: does this story keep going back another way? Are we
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: retracting so so she? Are you so you wanted to
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: hire ups at the job? No, I'm wondering how to
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: deal with her because management like they don't want to
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: get rid of her. It looks like you know how
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: how to deal with it, because you know, you give
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: these inspirational you know, you know, talks every morning and
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: it's good. But then the thing about it is when
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: you have to actually deal with the situation, sometimes it
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: can be quite different. Okay, well let me help you
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: out because sometimes I give inspirational messages, but sometimes that's
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: not enough. And I understand where we are right now,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: We at that ass whooping moment everything. You know what
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I'm saying, Inspiration ain't everything. I'm trying to inspire my sons.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: But when it don't work, this you're coming inspirational asking, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: at motivationalration contivating, whatever you want to call it. But
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: now you all could together and have an intervention. You
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: could get something, keep people together and sit there down
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: and go. You know, you're wonderful present, but we're having
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: these are the problems we have with you, fativ all.

- 1:21:54Speaker 1: What's your what's your question? Man? Hey man, I just

- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I noticed I struggle with this thing daily. Man. You
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: had one of the tightest affros back in the day. Man,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: And every time I wake up from sleeping, my afro
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: be sticking down on one side and out on the
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: other side. Of the minute I player. Every time you
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: woke up, it seemed like your afro was just as
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: tight as it can be. Man, how did you do?
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I just want to know. First of all, you need
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: to pick. It's called a pick so you can get
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: it up on the other side. And then you need
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: James Thomas, the greatest ball but that ever lived. He's
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: available now. He owns Williams Colleges now and several salons
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: in Arlington. He cuts your how he cutting my head?
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: The hair cut I had dog j T go here
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: j T money. That was what he made last time
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: he was with hair cut makes six thousand a week
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: cutting hair coming here four times a week, four times. Yeah,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I had to show pay for most of it. I
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: paid for two to show paid for two. Now if
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: you want that, I can give you his number. Other
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: than that, just gonna deal with it all. You just
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: do like I did. Just cut it all off. You
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: ain't got worrybody, no damn about that. Thank you for
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: if I want to cut it all off. But see,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I don't want to be as ugly as comic. Let
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: me tell you every this is how you and Junior
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: get people going out. I did this exactly how this
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: stuff start. But I'll be on in public. They think
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: I'm the little bar on the radio and this people
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: get there, y'all watch people. Man, Now, I don't know
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: this man from that for sure said good morning or nothing,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: but he do know you ugly though he got that yet,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: did man? All right, we got more of this craziness

- 1:24:10Speaker 1: but I think this deserves mentioning ladies and gentlemen. We night.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: We might need a drumroll cat on this one. Trending

- 1:25:12Speaker 1: rest of my life, I'm gonna have to ride with

- 1:26:15Speaker 1: nobody eating that for a Yeah. Well, when we were little,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: we ate Cereal. My son home from school immediately he

- 1:26:29Speaker 1: daughter too, she eats cheerios as soon as she walks

- 1:27:55Speaker 1: and we'll have more of this craziness coming right back
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: to this day. You're listening to the show. Oh my goodness,
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: I love this story. I love this story. Everyone is
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: so moved about this video that's trending on social media.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: Last week, this cute, cute, adorable, little two year old
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: girl named Parker was just in awe of the portrait
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: a former First Lady, Michelle Obama at the Smithsonian's National
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: Portrait Gallery. Uh. Well, that portrait went viral, That picture
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: of that whole picture of her looking at the portrait
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: went viral, and the First Lady wanted to meet little Parker. Well,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Parker got a chance to meet her. She wrote, Mrs
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: Michelle Obama. They had a cute little dance party together,
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: they had a ball. I mean, it was just this
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: is just such a feel good, wonderful story. Former First
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: Lady tweeted, keep on dreaming big for yourself and maybe
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: one day I'll probably look up at a portrait of you. Wow.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: Exactly way it works, That's exactly the way it works
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: because everything in your imagination is real. Imagination is not
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: hopeless pokers. Albert Einstein said, imagination is everything. It's a
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: preview to life's coming attractions. But actually that's the second
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: half of a very popular scripture. Faith is a substance
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: Your imagination is actually the evidence of things not seen.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: And the reason is the evidence of things not seen
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: because your imagination, you're the only one can see it.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: But so your imagination is actually God showing you a
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: coming of a coming attraction of something that He has
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: for you. That's what your imagination is. It's very important
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: to understand that. People you're real think about it. Yeah,
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: it's very powerful. It's very powerful for all of us,
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: for all of us at whatever age you or whatever age,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: as long as you're right and as long as you
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: leave living, that's a short sign from God that he
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: ain't through with you yet. So when he wakes you
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: up every day, that's because He still has something more
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: for you to get that he hasn't been able to
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: give to you for whatever the reason. Now, many times,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: often times we are blocking our own blessings and of
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: how we are as something we're doing. But if you
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: could just you don't want to self check on yourself,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: you can stop blocking some of your blessings. Wow, this
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: is like closing remarks right now, next week, next week, now,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: y'all get ready for the first lady, Miss Trump gonna
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: do the same thing that you're gonna have a men
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: help a p now you know that's going around. Think
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: I have a little dance party. And everything looked like
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: if she came up with oh so cute, if that
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: little girl didn't had a bold, I thought the wolves
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: Tommy all right, Trump Economic His chief economic strategist Gary
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: Cone resigned while the President was making a statement that
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: there's no chaos in the White House and there's another
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: storm headed to the northeast. Don't nobody work up in
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: the moment. I'm convinced. Yeah, I know it's crazy. Alright,
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: coming up, Steve's closing remarks. They are back and they're
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: on fire. You guys are loving them. You're tweeting us
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: about him and everything. So listen, we're going to play
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: one of his favorite closing remarks when we come back.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: All Right, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: All right, last break of the day. Here Steve with
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: his closing remarks. Y'all, I got so much from this
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: closing remark that I did that I'm gonna play it back.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: Some people said I missed it I heard about could
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: you please play it back? So I'm gonna play my
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: clothes remark back today. Okay, okay, alright, yeah, real good
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: piece of motivation and makes your quest to become successful
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: a little bit simpler. You know, oftentimes people are stuck
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: in a rut because they can't think they way clear
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: to see the end result. What I mean by is,
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: some people make such lofty goals and then they sit
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: there without a plan of attack to achieve that lofty goal,
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: until they've created a goal that seems so daunting that
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: they don't even start the process of a trying to
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: accomplish it. For example, and this doesn't have to be
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: the case, I'm just using this as an example. Let's
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: say you want to be a millionaire, and you say, wow,
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: I want to make a million dollars, and then you
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: start thinking of how to make the million dollars, and
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: because you can't, it becomes so daunting. Making a million
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: dollars is difficult. If it were easy, wouldn't you do
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: it by Friday? Wouldn't you? Of course you would. But
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: it's a little more difficult than that. So here's what
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: I had to learn in my life. Everybody listening to
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: this was born with a gift. It's inside of you.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Because God is very fair. He didn't put it on
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: a mountaintop, he didn't hide in under a rock. It's
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: in you, and your gift is the thing that you
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: do the absolute best with the least amount of effort.
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: In that lies your greatest chance for success. There's a
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: scripture that says your gift will make room for you
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: and put you in the presence of great men. Let's
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: just look at the first part of that, your gift
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: will make room for you. My interpretation of that has
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: meant what my gift has done for me. It has
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: allowed me to spread out, It has taken me places
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: I never dreamed got gold. Your gift will do the
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: same thing for you. So now let's just talk about
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: your ability to get to the million. I think it's
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: what your gift because if that's what that He gave
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: you and instill that you at births to make room
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: for you. Here's your chance. Now, how do I do that? Steve?
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: I call it to maximize your effort by ten theory.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: It's just something I came up with driving when I
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: was home listening, coming up without to make it, and
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: I discovered something. All of you have something that some
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: would pay you ten dollars to do. Some of you paint,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: some of you teach, some of your babysit tutors. Some
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: of you work with your hands. Some of you can sing,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: some of you can choreograph. Some of you there's so
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: many things. Cut grass, I mean, play the piano, some
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: of you do something, some of your work on cars,
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: some of y'all dry. But all of you have something
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: that you will do that someone will give you ten
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: dollars to do. All of you have something that someone
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: will pay you ten dollars to because you do something
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: that someone else can't do. So now all you gotta
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: do instead of trying to figure out how to make
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: a million dollars, it's go make the ten dollars that
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: you're able to make. Once you make that ten dollars,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: I want you to do it ten more times. When
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: you do it ten more times, you not have a
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: hundred dollars Once you have a hundred dollars, it's very simple.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: Do the same thing you did to make the hundred
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: dollars ten more times. You now have one thousand dollars.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: So you don't have to keep thinking of something else
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: to do. Just keep doing the same thing that you've
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: been doing. Just do it. Multiply the effort. It's the
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: effort that maximizes and and brings about the fruition of
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: what your life could be. So, if you make a
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: thousand dollars and you do that ten more times, I
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: have news for you. Not have ten thousand dollars now. Now,
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: in order to make a hundred dollars, you might need
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: a little bit of help. You might need to hire
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: somebody and help you do the thing that you do.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: But if you make ten thousand dollars and you do
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: what you did to make ten thousand dollars, which is
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: the same thing you did to make ten dollars, if
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: you do it ten more times, you now have a
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars. Now, listen to me, my friends. Once
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: you have a hundred thousand dollars, I could assure you
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: you're going to need help because in order to maximize
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: a hundred thousand dollars. You have to have some like
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: minded people around you. Nobody gets to the top alone.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: Nobody becomes successful and wealthy by themselves. They're formed partnerships, relationships,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: they get employees. But once you make a hundred thousand
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: dollars doing the same thing you did to make ten dollars,
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: if you do it ten more times, I have news
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: for you, my friends. Congratulations, you have just made one
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: million dollars with a ten dollar idea. Stop trying to
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: figure out how to make the million. What all you
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: gotta do is take your ten dollar gifts that God
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: has put in you. It's a million dollar gift that
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: you have. You just haven't broken it down inch by inch,
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: anything that sinch, and maximize the efforts. That's how you
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: become successful. These jokes that pay me what I make now,
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: it's the same jokes that pay me twenty five dollars
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: a night. They're the same jokes. It's all English. I
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: don't know no more words now than I knew them.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: I've taken these twenty five dollar jokes and I maximize
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: them over and over and over and over and over
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: and over and over. It's the same jokes I was
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: telling babysitters who charged fifty dollars to watch kids. Babysitters
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: end up opening up daycare centers. Day cast senters turned
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: into franchises, crim Dela Crime Monetary schools. These are national franchises.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: Somebody was just babysitting. My partner used to cut grass.
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: First three dollars in the front, three dollars in the back.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: He got a landscape come near Cleveland. He made four
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: million dollars a year. You know what he do? He
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: cut grass, same six dollar grass. Couldn't he been doing?
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: You just out some trucks. Now, what is it that
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: you do that somebody will pay you ten dollars that
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: you can maximize your effort for and turn it into
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: your million. Trying to figure out how to make the million.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: Take your ten dollar skills set and start hammering it
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: and beating it and working it and grinding and hustling
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: and multiplying and magnifying it, and you will make a
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: million dollars. That's my clothing remarks. Thank you all very much.
