- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know, y'all. BA
- 0:09Speaker 1: have all suit looking like the back down, giving them
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the milan buck things in it coubles me true
- 0:20Speaker 1: good it. Steve Hary listening to the move to other study,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me. You doing men, You gotta
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn hurdy, you gotta turn to turn out. You got
- 1:43Speaker 1: to turn them out. Then turn the water the water go. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your fad uh huh, I shall will. Good
- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now. One and only Steve Varvey got a radio show. Man,
- 2:12Speaker 1: old Man. Old Man symbolizes just one thing to me. Man,
- 2:16Speaker 1: It's just a constant remind of exactly how good God
- 2:19Speaker 1: has been to me over the years. And I'm thank
- 2:22Speaker 1: him for it too, because I realize every day that
- 2:24Speaker 1: I wake up that I would be nothing without him.
- 2:27Speaker 1: That everything I am that's any good in me, I
- 2:31Speaker 1: owe to him. Now. Have I made some mistakes along
- 2:34Speaker 1: the way, yep, bunches, bunches and bunches, And will I
- 2:39Speaker 1: continue to make mistakes along the way yep? Not as many,
- 2:45Speaker 1: hopefully as I have in the past, because a lot
- 2:48Speaker 1: of stuff I know better now, but you're still going
- 2:52Speaker 1: to make mistakes now, you know. Hopefully I've limited the
- 2:57Speaker 1: amount of intentional error us in my life. I've wiped
- 3:02Speaker 1: quite a few of those out, But from time to time,
- 3:05Speaker 1: because we're human, we're going to make a mistake every
- 3:08Speaker 1: now and then. The trick what it is, y'all, it's
- 3:11Speaker 1: not to let the devil deceive you into thinking that
- 3:14Speaker 1: once you make that mistake that that's it. You can't
- 3:17Speaker 1: do it. You're falling off the wagon. You can't reboard it.
- 3:21Speaker 1: That's the biggest trick that he uses. He makes you
- 3:24Speaker 1: think that if you keep stumbling, that you can't run
- 3:30Speaker 1: the race. It kind of reminds me of a marathon runner.
- 3:36Speaker 1: From time to time I watch him on TV, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: you'll see some people who finish the race, you know,
- 3:44Speaker 1: in a in a nice pace. You see people finish
- 3:48Speaker 1: the race sprinting towards the finished line. But every now
- 3:52Speaker 1: and then you'll watch a marathon and you'll see a
- 3:55Speaker 1: runner and the runner is in really, really a bad shape.
- 4:02Speaker 1: The key is they finish the race. See, you don't
- 4:07Speaker 1: get disqualified in the marathon because you stumble, You don't.
- 4:13Speaker 1: They don't. They don't take your opportunity to finish the
- 4:18Speaker 1: race because you keep falling. That's not the key. The
- 4:23Speaker 1: key is finishing. And a lot of times what the
- 4:26Speaker 1: devil does is he makes you think that because you
- 4:30Speaker 1: keep stumbling, because you're swaying from side to side, that
- 4:35Speaker 1: you know you out the race. Well, that's not the case.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And see and then this thing called life, let me
- 4:41Speaker 1: help you understand something. Everybody falls. Nobody sprints to the
- 4:45Speaker 1: tape in this one. Nobody just runs free and clear
- 4:49Speaker 1: as some people running faster than you and all like this.
- 4:52Speaker 1: And some people gonna get to the end before you
- 4:54Speaker 1: let them go ahead. And when the end come, the
- 4:57Speaker 1: end come. I ain't in the rush to get to
- 4:58Speaker 1: the end. But in this race, though, when you're stumbling
- 5:02Speaker 1: and you're falling, it's a part of it. No one
- 5:06Speaker 1: gets through this race without stumbling and falling, swaying from
- 5:09Speaker 1: side to side. So don't let the enemy deceive you
- 5:13Speaker 1: into thinking that it's over. I try to be encouraging
- 5:19Speaker 1: to people because I don't want people to get stuck
- 5:22Speaker 1: on this thing, you know, And my walk is very
- 5:25Speaker 1: different from a lot of people's walks. And then I
- 5:27Speaker 1: know a lot of people who walking in faith the
- 5:29Speaker 1: way I'm walking in faith. But my thing in the
- 5:32Speaker 1: morning is just to remind those that is not a
- 5:35Speaker 1: perfect walk man, that it's not something that's set up
- 5:39Speaker 1: where you're gonna be skipping through life scott free without
- 5:44Speaker 1: any pitfalls. You know, I keep saying it over and
- 5:46Speaker 1: over and over again because, like I said, when I
- 5:48Speaker 1: was in DC, my boy Hondo said this to me,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and it just kind of stuck with me that the
- 5:54Speaker 1: road to construct, the road to successes always under construction.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You have to figure and count on the setbacks and
- 6:03Speaker 1: the pitfalls. But it's those people that that that that
- 6:08Speaker 1: fight through will be the victors in the end. You
- 6:11Speaker 1: cannot give up, man, Stop going somewhen sitting down every
- 6:16Speaker 1: time something goes down. It's going to go down. It's
- 6:20Speaker 1: a part of it. It's going to happen. It's going
- 6:24Speaker 1: to occur that are going to be setbacks. If you
- 6:27Speaker 1: go and sit down every time there's a setback, that's
- 6:31Speaker 1: not how this works. It is designed that way. If
- 6:35Speaker 1: success were easy, everybody would be successful. But success is
- 6:42Speaker 1: just reserved for those who are willing to fight through,
- 6:45Speaker 1: who refuse to settle for mediocrity, who wants something more. Now,
- 6:50Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. Success is defined by each individual.
- 6:55Speaker 1: So what I may consider to be successful, you may
- 6:58Speaker 1: not consider that. You know what Bill Gates considers successful.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I might not consider what Michael Jordan considers successful. I
- 7:07Speaker 1: might not consider what you consider successful. Your boss might
- 7:11Speaker 1: not consider. You have to define what that is for yourself.
- 7:15Speaker 1: It may not be monetary at all. You know, your
- 7:19Speaker 1: level of success could be tied up in community service.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It could be tied up in family. It could be
- 7:25Speaker 1: tied up into church. Your level of success could be
- 7:28Speaker 1: tied up into boys clubs. It could be any number
- 7:32Speaker 1: of things. Whatever your level of success is, you have
- 7:36Speaker 1: to determine what that is you and the best way
- 7:39Speaker 1: to determine that is to get in touch with your maker,
- 7:43Speaker 1: who created you, to find out what your mission and
- 7:47Speaker 1: your purpose is so he can put you on track.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I just had this conversation with my son and we
- 7:53Speaker 1: were talking about getting on the path that God has
- 7:58Speaker 1: set up for you. So many times we find ourselves
- 8:01Speaker 1: fighting through life because of so much uncertainty, because we
- 8:05Speaker 1: have no idea where we're headed. It's like one of
- 8:10Speaker 1: my own sayings that I have at my mentoring camp
- 8:15Speaker 1: for boys is is that a boy without a male
- 8:19Speaker 1: role model is like an explorer without a map. See
- 8:25Speaker 1: if you don't have a map laid out in front
- 8:29Speaker 1: of you of where you're going when you wake up
- 8:33Speaker 1: every day. That pretty much explains the feeling of confusion,
- 8:38Speaker 1: the laxadaisical attitude, the lack of purpose, to not understanding
- 8:45Speaker 1: your mission because you don't have not gotten in touch
- 8:50Speaker 1: with your creator to find out exactly what your path
- 8:54Speaker 1: in life is. What are you supposed to be doing?
- 8:57Speaker 1: The moment you can identify that is the moment that
- 9:01Speaker 1: you get started waking up with purpose, with the sense
- 9:05Speaker 1: of direction. When you kill the sense of I don't
- 9:08Speaker 1: know what's next or what to do. Now, there's going
- 9:11Speaker 1: to be some confusing moments no matter what happened, it's
- 9:14Speaker 1: going to be some uncertainty, but at least you'll know
- 9:17Speaker 1: where you're going. So if you're tied a waking up
- 9:19Speaker 1: feeling loss, abandon confused, don't know what to do, don't
- 9:24Speaker 1: know what you're supposed to be doing, refer back to
- 9:29Speaker 1: your makeup. Because when he created you, he had a
- 9:33Speaker 1: plan for you. When he created you, he had a
- 9:36Speaker 1: path for you. Now we've made some decisions to get
- 9:40Speaker 1: off of both of those, the mission and the path.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But God can get you right back on track. Do
- 9:47Speaker 1: that today, asking what you're supposed to be doing and listen.
- 9:53Speaker 1: God has all the answers if you form the relationship. Okay,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're good morning, everybody. You're about to listen to the
- 10:05Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the entire world, in the world,
- 10:09Speaker 1: in the universe, over on the moon. If they had
- 10:11Speaker 1: a show up that this would be the baddest show.
- 10:14Speaker 1: But we're not doing it by myself. I'm doing it
- 10:16Speaker 1: with chilly stuffing. What's up? Shirl? Hey? Jay, Anthony's Brown,
- 10:21Speaker 1: Good morning to you? And Carla and Tommy? Good morning?
- 10:28Speaker 1: What's up? Calling for around? How are you doing today?
- 10:30Speaker 1: I'm doing good Jay? How are you doing? Happy Tuesday? Good?
- 10:37Speaker 1: What's happy to yeh? Tom Junior's out of he'll be
- 10:39Speaker 1: back tomorrow, but in his place and holding it down
- 10:43Speaker 1: my man, Tommy, come on, what's going on with you? Man?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Hitting the building? Jim and the Brown Good morning morning
- 10:48Speaker 1: to the beautiful ladies. Is Tuesday, Baby, it's a time
- 10:52Speaker 1: of two. I'm gonna call it's a time of two. Oh,
- 10:54Speaker 1: it's time of Tuesday. I like that to you. I
- 10:56Speaker 1: thought it was where if Tom's taco too, I like
- 11:01Speaker 1: that time taco. Whatever he says, good, we see, Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 1: I'll have a little club out. I'm like Trump support
- 11:11Speaker 1: when it comes to time and whatever he's saying. He's
- 11:15Speaker 1: the guy right behind me with the red hat on.
- 11:18Speaker 1: He that guy who is that black guy sitting up
- 11:22Speaker 1: there with the red that? Well, good Tuesday morning to everybody.
- 11:26Speaker 1: How y'all doing? Oh good, feeling real good. Oh it's
- 11:30Speaker 1: hot in La. It is very hot. Every it's hot. Well,
- 11:38Speaker 1: it's supposed to be hot at summertime. Right. It makes
- 11:41Speaker 1: you so thankful you don't work outside and a blessing. Yeah,
- 11:46Speaker 1: if we did, we'd have to have a big straw
- 11:48Speaker 1: hat on. You know. We salute those that do work
- 11:51Speaker 1: out side. Yeah we do, Yeah, we do. Yeah, Carla,
- 11:55Speaker 1: you're right, little rufus on the highway construction guys, right,
- 12:05Speaker 1: the jackhammers. Jackhammer guy. I have a very good friend
- 12:09Speaker 1: who works in construction and she is a beautiful female. Yeah.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I'd rather work the flag though. If I'm gonna do it,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I want to be on the flag way. You know,
- 12:21Speaker 1: the people don't just you know, with the flag and
- 12:24Speaker 1: just showing the traffic which way to go, just here,
- 12:26Speaker 1: just come on right here, right. I want to be
- 12:28Speaker 1: the guy to hold that that thing that loves that
- 12:31Speaker 1: sticks or the other guy can see. That's what I
- 12:33Speaker 1: want to be, that leveler. I want to be that
- 12:38Speaker 1: guy that looks like a cushy job. You know, I
- 12:43Speaker 1: don't know what it is he's holding, but the other
- 12:45Speaker 1: guy on the other end is in serious you know,
- 12:48Speaker 1: construction mode. Yeah, the movie when he tell you the movie,
- 12:53Speaker 1: that's the guy I want to be. I just want
- 12:55Speaker 1: to be the person that comes when it's all done. Yes, yes,
- 13:03Speaker 1: you know the food you're ringing a bail? Yes, up, boy.
- 13:08Speaker 1: They have some good food on food trucks, really really
- 13:14Speaker 1: do man. I like ice cream. I was on a
- 13:20Speaker 1: ice cream food truck, not on it, but I got
- 13:23Speaker 1: ice cream. It was the most delicious ice cream. It
- 13:25Speaker 1: was homemade. She made it right there. It was homemade
- 13:28Speaker 1: vanilla delicious. All right. Listen coming up at thirty two
- 13:32Speaker 1: after the hour, sad news shootings at two family festivals,
- 13:36Speaker 1: two family festivals this weekend. What is going on in America?
- 13:41Speaker 1: We'll discuss right after this. You're listening to show on
- 13:47Speaker 1: Sunday something horrible happened in Gilroy, California at the garlic festival. Uh.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Nineteen year old man declared war on just innocent people
- 13:58Speaker 1: they were just enjoying the last day of the Gilroy
- 14:01Speaker 1: Garlic Festival in Gilroy, California, killed a six year old boy,
- 14:05Speaker 1: a thirteen year old little girl, and an adult male
- 14:08Speaker 1: in his late twenties. Also, twelve people were injured. The
- 14:11Speaker 1: Gilroy Police Department patrol the festival grounds each year, attendees
- 14:16Speaker 1: passed through metal detectors. The shooters circumvented security by cutting
- 14:20Speaker 1: his way through a perimeter fence to gain access into
- 14:24Speaker 1: the grounds and started shooting. Police confirmed that this nineteen
- 14:28Speaker 1: year old gun men used an AK forty seven assault
- 14:31Speaker 1: rifle type. Yeah. AK forty seven. Uh, this this is horrible.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I mean, you know, when does it end? Went? Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: That's all we can do is just say, you know,
- 14:45Speaker 1: the last day, yeah yeah. And it was family day,
- 14:50Speaker 1: the last day festival. So that's why the kids were there,
- 14:53Speaker 1: the grandparents were there, a lot of families were there.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And it's and it's part of a fundraiser for the
- 14:57Speaker 1: school district. Yeah, for the unity there. So this they've
- 15:02Speaker 1: been doing this for years yeah, for years, and this
- 15:05Speaker 1: is just it's just horrible. Yeah, and it's horrible, it's horrible.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And this assault rifle that he purchased, what I heard
- 15:16Speaker 1: was that he purchased it in Nevada because yeah, because
- 15:21Speaker 1: that's illegal to having in California. Yeah. So yeah, what
- 15:24Speaker 1: are we talking about? Background checks? Database? You know, having
- 15:28Speaker 1: one database to purchase done? But why do you need
- 15:32Speaker 1: a K forty seven? Why do you? But when you
- 15:34Speaker 1: say what are we talking about? We talk about the
- 15:36Speaker 1: same thing over and over again when we have these shootings.
- 15:40Speaker 1: It's the same issue that never changes. You know, lawmakers
- 15:45Speaker 1: are doing absolutely nothing about. Yeah, yeah, this is this
- 15:49Speaker 1: is I mean, it's just another unspeakable crime. Um. And
- 15:54Speaker 1: you know, our condolences and our well wishes and our
- 15:57Speaker 1: prayers go out to the families of the decease east
- 16:00Speaker 1: end of the injured parties. Um, it's just awful, It's
- 16:05Speaker 1: just horrible, Carl. Do they think it's two shooters? They
- 16:10Speaker 1: think that he had someone weren't accomplice him, Yeah, an accomplice,
- 16:14Speaker 1: but they don't know. And as far as a motive, um,
- 16:17Speaker 1: they were saying, he referred them to a um UH
- 16:22Speaker 1: manifesto for UM um, white supremacists or something that social
- 16:29Speaker 1: media on social media, man oh man, anyway, you know
- 16:35Speaker 1: again our prayers, uh and other news. At a community
- 16:38Speaker 1: festival event in Brooklyn, a gunman opened fire and uh
- 16:43Speaker 1: killed one person, also injuring eleven others. Here we go again,
- 16:49Speaker 1: all of them in a day after. Yeah, yeah, the
- 16:52Speaker 1: same It was the same weekend. It was just this
- 16:55Speaker 1: past weekend, a violent weekend going on, and we can't
- 16:59Speaker 1: go anywhere and do anything. Yeah what did Yeah? Yeah
- 17:06Speaker 1: they got them. Wow half you didn't took somebody at
- 17:10Speaker 1: life though. Yeah. So there's no place that's really safe.
- 17:15Speaker 1: You can't just say there's no place to safe. Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 1: you can't go to festival with your family. You can't.
- 17:21Speaker 1: You can't go to the movie, you can't store whatever,
- 17:25Speaker 1: you can't go to the grocery store, you can't go nowhere.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It's just awful, you know. Um, And we have to
- 17:31Speaker 1: be aware, you know, we have to be aware, you
- 17:35Speaker 1: know if anything that might look strange look suspicious when
- 17:38Speaker 1: we're out. But I mean, you're not expecting someone to
- 17:41Speaker 1: cut through. Question when you going to a place, When
- 17:45Speaker 1: you go to the place, did you kind of like
- 17:47Speaker 1: look around at people? Oh? Especially at the movie the day. Yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 1: when I was at the Lion King, I was joining it. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 1: whenever someone got up, whether they were going to the
- 17:57Speaker 1: restroom or to go. No, go to the movies and
- 18:01Speaker 1: relax and escape into the movie. You know. But now
- 18:05Speaker 1: you got to watch exactly exactly nearest exit. But go
- 18:13Speaker 1: ahead tell me. I went to just took my family
- 18:16Speaker 1: to a football game last year and in the stands, uh,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you know, a couple of couple of guys and got
- 18:23Speaker 1: drunk one road, screaming out another road, and it broke out.
- 18:26Speaker 1: So now I've got to get my whole family behind
- 18:30Speaker 1: me so I can protect him, because I don't want
- 18:32Speaker 1: it to spill over to where I am. So it
- 18:34Speaker 1: doesn't matter where you are. It's yeah, yeah, yeah. And
- 18:39Speaker 1: as we talk about gun control, control and mass shootings, guys, well,
- 18:43Speaker 1: the President um has stepped up his attacks on the
- 18:47Speaker 1: city of Baltimore and Representative Elijah Cummings and now Reverend
- 18:53Speaker 1: Al Sharpton. Reverend Al says President Trump attacks Everyone take
- 18:57Speaker 1: a listen to this. Did I know that mister Trump
- 19:03Speaker 1: was going to on the eve of this attack the
- 19:06Speaker 1: congressmen from this city and not only the congressman, but
- 19:11Speaker 1: the people of this city in the most bigoted and
- 19:15Speaker 1: racist way. He attacks everybody I know. Donald Trump, he's
- 19:20Speaker 1: not mature enough to take criticism. He can't help it.
- 19:24Speaker 1: He's like a child. Somebody says something, he reacts. He's
- 19:27Speaker 1: thin skinned and not really matured that well. But he
- 19:32Speaker 1: has a particular venom for blacks and people of color.
- 19:36Speaker 1: He doesn't refer to any of his other opponents or
- 19:40Speaker 1: critics as infested. He does not attack their districts. He
- 19:45Speaker 1: attacks Nancy Pelos, he attacks Chuck Schumer, he attacks other whites.
- 19:50Speaker 1: But he never said that their districts or their states
- 19:53Speaker 1: are places that no human being wants to live. The
- 19:57Speaker 1: fact of the matter is Elijah Coming district is the
- 20:01Speaker 1: most well educated and middle class aspiring district or blacks
- 20:07Speaker 1: in this country. Wow, are you listening? Voters? Are you listening? Yes?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Are you listening? The election is November of next year.
- 20:18Speaker 1: We gotta get ready to vote this man out of office.
- 20:21Speaker 1: We do. Come on, Baltimore, y'all know what election boxes
- 20:25Speaker 1: look like. Yeah, y'all got to come out all these
- 20:29Speaker 1: other cities he made fun of Yeah, And you know what, guys,
- 20:33Speaker 1: we talk about a lot of issues on this show,
- 20:36Speaker 1: and the question is um and you can go to
- 20:38Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM dot com and and leave your comments.
- 20:41Speaker 1: What what do you think the Democratic candidates need to
- 20:44Speaker 1: address tonight before the debate in Detroit at the Fox Theater.
- 20:48Speaker 1: All right, let us know switching gears. Nephew Tommy of course,
- 20:52Speaker 1: is in the building for run that prank back right

- 21:04Speaker 1: the longest running number one song of all time. Congratulations
- 21:08Speaker 1: to him. Yes, Plus, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia
- 21:13Speaker 1: Bailey is engaged. Now wow, congratulations, Get that off the market.

- 21:26Speaker 1: nephew is here with the prank phone call run that

- 21:35Speaker 1: I love the ring. Yes, the rain make it sound
- 21:40Speaker 1: like Lord of Rings. The rain. Run a cat dog
- 21:44Speaker 1: here it is the ring. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to

- 22:01Speaker 1: you gave it to one of my salespersons, and yes,
- 22:04Speaker 1: you wanted to get it resized as well as get
- 22:07Speaker 1: it a praise. Correct, Yes, yes, yes, and you don't
- 22:09Speaker 1: have to tell him to be a bit praise them
- 22:12Speaker 1: on my own. Okay, wow, okay, listen, I actually do

- 22:31Speaker 1: I've looked at your ring over and over and this
- 22:36Speaker 1: ring is probably worth maybe fifty dollars. Excuse me, I've
- 22:42Speaker 1: been I've been in this business for over twenty years.
- 22:44Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm confused on what you just seeing.
- 22:47Speaker 1: And I understand that what I'm trying to explain to
- 22:48Speaker 1: you is that I've been in this business for over
- 22:50Speaker 1: twenty years. I've seen so many different pieces of jewelry
- 22:53Speaker 1: and this is something that you that you buy late
- 22:57Speaker 1: night on an infomercial for nineteen ninety nine. It's this
- 23:00Speaker 1: is a Cubic Sclonian stones and the gold is not
- 23:04Speaker 1: real at all. It's like, wait, you wait, you lost me.
- 23:08Speaker 1: You lost me as much money as my pen make
- 23:10Speaker 1: and as much money as my father is putting down
- 23:13Speaker 1: on his wedding or has put down. And you're gonna say,
- 23:16Speaker 1: understand everything you're saying. But Denise, honestly don't know. What
- 23:19Speaker 1: I need you to do is hold on. Wait, no, no, no,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I need you to hold on because we need to
- 23:24Speaker 1: call victims. Wait. Wait, man. First of all, I can't wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
- 23:31Speaker 1: hold down, hold on because you wait, wait, wait, what
- 23:36Speaker 1: are you trying to what you're trying to do, sir?
- 23:39Speaker 1: I need I need you to repeat what you just
- 23:41Speaker 1: said to me. Okay, I need you personal stuff man,
- 23:46Speaker 1: you oh you hit it. It's personal now, So I
- 23:48Speaker 1: need you to hold on. Okay, Oh she calling man? Okay,
- 23:55Speaker 1: think think hello victim, I need to listen to this
- 23:59Speaker 1: Jewla that's on the front. I want you to hit it.
- 24:01Speaker 1: And he just told me what's the problem. What you mean,
- 24:03Speaker 1: what's the problem. He's gonna tell you what the problem is.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Gonna hit on, sir, gonna hit on. Hello, Yeah, who's
- 24:09Speaker 1: this all right? My name is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds,
- 24:12Speaker 1: and actually your wife, I mean where your fiance rather,
- 24:15Speaker 1: she brought her ring in to actually be resized. Yeah,
- 24:19Speaker 1: and we we also did an appraisal on the ring
- 24:21Speaker 1: for her, and actually the ring is estimated to be only,
- 24:26Speaker 1: in the word to around fifty dollars fifty dollars dollars
- 24:30Speaker 1: fifty that's what the man said, sir. Obviously there's some
- 24:36Speaker 1: sort of mistakes, sir. Yea, what you got to say
- 24:38Speaker 1: about that fifty dollars? That's that's got to be some
- 24:42Speaker 1: kind of mistakes. But what'd you say your name was, sir?
- 24:44Speaker 1: My name is Gavin. I work here at Diamonds. I'm
- 24:46Speaker 1: the head jeweler here. I've been here for twenty years.
- 24:48Speaker 1: And there's there's no way that that ring is worth
- 24:52Speaker 1: fifty dollars. I know what I paid for it, So
- 24:54Speaker 1: obviously there's some sort of mistakes. There's not a mistake.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I've been dealing with jury. I've seen it. I and
- 25:00Speaker 1: pretty much look at a ring, but I actually went
- 25:02Speaker 1: into detail on this one, as I do all of them,
- 25:05Speaker 1: and so I promise you this is probably maybe between
- 25:08Speaker 1: forty and fifty dollars before his workers. Now, absolutely not.
- 25:12Speaker 1: That's that's impossible. How is that impossible. He's a jeweler.
- 25:15Speaker 1: You heard him say, he's been doing it for twenty
- 25:17Speaker 1: he's the highest. That impossible. I don't understand that all
- 25:20Speaker 1: the money that my daddy putting down on this wedding
- 25:22Speaker 1: and you don't pay fifty you bought a cheap ring.
- 25:26Speaker 1: So no, no, no, I did not buy a team.
- 25:29Speaker 1: This is this is this is obviously some kind of mistake.
- 25:31Speaker 1: You didn't got it. You show him got that right,
- 25:34Speaker 1: You show got that right. So what you got to
- 25:35Speaker 1: say for yourself dollar this? You can't I believe that
- 25:40Speaker 1: that's right, that this is obviously some kind of mistakes. Oh,
- 25:43Speaker 1: it is a mistake. I'm mistaken thinking I'm gonna get
- 25:45Speaker 1: married to the man of my dream. I do have
- 25:47Speaker 1: the engagement ring that was purchased and bought for your wife.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I don't thinking. I don't think you do. I don't
- 25:52Speaker 1: think you have my ring because if you have my ring,
- 25:54Speaker 1: you wouldn't be telling me this works fifty dollars, sir.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I have the ring that your wife, your fiance, it
- 26:00Speaker 1: brought in his wife. Yet hold on, hold on. The
- 26:02Speaker 1: man trying to explain I'm trying to get to the body.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Thank you, so you have me. I don't think he
- 26:08Speaker 1: has the right ring. I have the right ring. And
- 26:10Speaker 1: what I'm letting you know, sir, is that this is
- 26:13Speaker 1: something you buy on an infomercial in the dude, you know,
- 26:18Speaker 1: I ain't buy a damn ring on infomercial. I bought
- 26:21Speaker 1: the ring from a reputable establishment. I have the receipt,
- 26:25Speaker 1: I have the certificate. So obviously the mistake is on
- 26:28Speaker 1: your and where the mistakes now here? Search You bought
- 26:31Speaker 1: a piece of jump. He's been doing it all these years.
- 26:34Speaker 1: How hell he's gonna make a mistake. You come off
- 26:37Speaker 1: telling me I bought a piece of jump. I know
- 26:38Speaker 1: what I bought. If there's any mistakes that's been made,
- 26:41Speaker 1: it's on your end, world, It's not on my end. Yeah. Hold,
- 26:45Speaker 1: don't you want to thing that my dad has had
- 26:50Speaker 1: too much money for this wedding, but your doll wa
- 26:52Speaker 1: pay fifty dollars? Wait till I tell him this? Chill
- 26:56Speaker 1: hold on. First of all, I don't appreciate you. I
- 26:59Speaker 1: want to tell you this. This is typical case of
- 27:01Speaker 1: you trying to put it off on us because you
- 27:03Speaker 1: bought a piece off for fifty bucks. I'm a many.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Did you do I get fifty dollars worth of a ring?
- 27:08Speaker 1: Then he's hold on, let me talk to this. Where
- 27:10Speaker 1: you going and get dollars? I never heard of that.
- 27:15Speaker 1: So your wife knows exactly where. She's the one that
- 27:18Speaker 1: brought the ring. And I'll tell you what. I'm gonna
- 27:20Speaker 1: come down there to see the ring that you're talking about.
- 27:22Speaker 1: If it's not the ring that I gave my girl,
- 27:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna take seventy six hundred dollars out of your
- 27:27Speaker 1: because that's so. Now you want to jump on me
- 27:31Speaker 1: because you bought your wife a pieces. Come on, you
- 27:34Speaker 1: want to put it on me? You you don't tell
- 27:36Speaker 1: me what the I don't know what the I spin
- 27:38Speaker 1: on the ring and you I don't kind of trying
- 27:40Speaker 1: to pull. First of all, I don't appreciate you coming
- 27:42Speaker 1: in my household trying to mess my and you want
- 27:44Speaker 1: to come at me with this one. I know the

- 27:56Speaker 1: don't get the ring in a right man. You don't
- 27:57Speaker 1: go in it. Can I say one more thing to
- 27:59Speaker 1: both of you? But I'll tell you what if they did,
- 28:02Speaker 1: I want to hear me, and you're gonna have some
- 28:03Speaker 1: more problems. This is Matthew telling me from the Steve

- 41:00Speaker 1: powerful people wanting to control things. Right, So this is
- 41:05Speaker 1: what happens when sexy people powerful people get in the
- 41:08Speaker 1: same room and everything just kind of come buck Okay,
- 41:12Speaker 1: like this show, like this radio show right here. Okay,
- 41:19Speaker 1: all right, So Brian White, we love him too. He
- 41:21Speaker 1: plays a role of Mayor Evan Lancaster. He's married to Stephanie,
- 41:25Speaker 1: who's played by Robin Givens. Yes, so Evan, Mayor Evan
- 41:30Speaker 1: will do anything to move his career to the next level.
- 41:33Speaker 1: So what kind of devilment, let's say, is Evan up
- 41:37Speaker 1: to this season? Let me just say this. Evan plays
- 41:40Speaker 1: my younger brother on the show, and he just keeps
- 41:43Speaker 1: his hand in the cookie jaws. I could not keep
- 41:46Speaker 1: his hand out of other people's wives and girlfriend's cookie
- 41:49Speaker 1: jaws either. So he is very mischievous with how he
- 41:54Speaker 1: handles his cabinet and how he conducts his business. So
- 41:58Speaker 1: he keeps us all on our peas incusing and as
- 42:01Speaker 1: his sister Randelle Lancaster, I don't really like how he
- 42:05Speaker 1: does business. With that, I'm planning on using some of
- 42:09Speaker 1: his power to get what I need done in the
- 42:11Speaker 1: city of Atlanta. Yes, man, you have a restaurant called
- 42:15Speaker 1: Felma's Place. That's a family's legacy. Okay, what's see what's
- 42:19Speaker 1: happening is see the quote unquote man is trying to
- 42:25Speaker 1: so happened when that happened one they try to come
- 42:28Speaker 1: down there and take all places, talking about imminent domain
- 42:31Speaker 1: and y'all got to give up your land. And I said,
- 42:33Speaker 1: they'll see, Mama, them work real hard for this see here,
- 42:36Speaker 1: and what you're not gonna do is coming from here
- 42:39Speaker 1: and change up our neighborhood in the name of bringing
- 42:41Speaker 1: in some new folks. My fight is to keep the
- 42:44Speaker 1: neighborhood for the people who live there, and I have
- 42:47Speaker 1: I'm doing everything, including putting my life in front of
- 42:50Speaker 1: this initiative. So I'm like, you know what we're gonna
- 42:53Speaker 1: fight today because it's the mayor, the mayor or the
- 42:56Speaker 1: sister the mayor behind the mayor, so you know who
- 43:00Speaker 1: who really running thing? We don't know. Y'all got to
- 43:01Speaker 1: watch the sea. You can catch an all new episode
- 43:05Speaker 1: of Ambitions coming on tonight at ten ninth Central and

- 54:07Speaker 1: it up and hold on tight. We got it for you. Here.
- 54:09Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry letter. He did it subject Oh,
- 54:13Speaker 1: lying cheating thought and thought. Huh, I don't know what
- 54:22Speaker 1: it means. So y'all those hes over there right those? Now?
- 54:26Speaker 1: What would a bunch of aches be together? All right? Listen,
- 54:33Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a fifty eight year young
- 54:37Speaker 1: woman and I have been involved with this man since
- 54:40Speaker 1: two thousand and seven, and he's a lying, cheating thought.
- 54:44Speaker 1: We are not together right now, but I can't get
- 54:46Speaker 1: rid of him. When we were together, he cheated on
- 54:48Speaker 1: me over and over and the worst part was when
- 54:53Speaker 1: when I got addicted to smoking weed. We stayed together
- 54:56Speaker 1: and tried to work it out because I loved him.
- 54:59Speaker 1: I'm dating again and I am happy Finally, he is
- 55:03Speaker 1: dating a twenty seven year old girl, and he is
- 55:05Speaker 1: doing her the same way he did me. Mind you,
- 55:08Speaker 1: he is fifty five years old and has been married
- 55:11Speaker 1: three times, so I'm not sure why this little girl
- 55:15Speaker 1: is trying to date him. Just last week, he texted
- 55:17Speaker 1: me and asked me to come to his house so
- 55:19Speaker 1: we could have sex. He said he misses my body.
- 55:23Speaker 1: His little girlfriend saw the text messages and it ended
- 55:26Speaker 1: up being a big mess. He told her that he
- 55:28Speaker 1: hasn't seen her talk to me in months and he
- 55:31Speaker 1: never even dated me. We were just acquaintances. It's like
- 55:34Speaker 1: he was trying to put her on a pedestal and
- 55:36Speaker 1: make her feel like she is the only one that
- 55:39Speaker 1: really made me angry. So I want this little girl
- 55:42Speaker 1: to know that he is a real dog and she
- 55:44Speaker 1: has no idea how he cheats and lies. She is
- 55:47Speaker 1: too young and she has her life and future to
- 55:50Speaker 1: think about, so she needs to get away from him
- 55:53Speaker 1: as quickly as possible. I'm sure he will be trying
- 55:56Speaker 1: to get in touch with me again soon, and I
- 55:58Speaker 1: plan to send his little girl friend and every message
- 56:01Speaker 1: he sends me. Am I wrong for trying to help
- 56:03Speaker 1: this little girl out? Or am I doing too much?
- 56:06Speaker 1: I don't want to mess up my new relationship by
- 56:08Speaker 1: focusing on the old one. But I am so upset
- 56:12Speaker 1: that my ex acted like I was nothing to him. Surely,
- 56:15Speaker 1: how should I handle this cheating thought? Please help? All right, First,
- 56:19Speaker 1: you gotta stop, you gotta stop, and then you gotta stop. Okay,
- 56:25Speaker 1: you still have feelings for this man? I mean, how
- 56:28Speaker 1: do I know this? Because you mentioned him in every
- 56:30Speaker 1: other sentence in the letter. Okay, you gotta let this go.
- 56:34Speaker 1: You gotta stop, and you gotta stop, and and you
- 56:36Speaker 1: gotta stop. All right. You're fifty eight, he's fifty five.
- 56:40Speaker 1: So what if he's dating a twenty seven year old?
- 56:42Speaker 1: Why is that any business of yours? Right now? When
- 56:44Speaker 1: you're in a relationship and you're happy, Why is this
- 56:47Speaker 1: bothering you at all? So what he tuchs you and
- 56:51Speaker 1: asks you to come over and have sex with him
- 56:53Speaker 1: because he misses your body? He didn't say he missed you.
- 56:56Speaker 1: All right, you want to go over there, don't you? Well,
- 56:59Speaker 1: don't go over there. Yes, you're doing too much. You
- 57:02Speaker 1: still have feelings for this man? Uh, you don't. Don't.
- 57:05Speaker 1: Don't try to trick us and make us think that
- 57:09Speaker 1: you're concerned about this young girl because you're not. You're
- 57:12Speaker 1: not You're you don't. She has her future to think about.
- 57:15Speaker 1: What do you care? What do you care? What he's doing?
- 57:18Speaker 1: Let him be you. You're you're mad because you think
- 57:22Speaker 1: that he made you look like nothing in her eyes?
- 57:25Speaker 1: What do you care? You wouldn't care if you didn't
- 57:27Speaker 1: still have feelings for this guy, So you need to
- 57:30Speaker 1: admit that to yourself. Yes, you are doing too much.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Get somewhere and sit down. As my mother told me
- 57:36Speaker 1: many many times when I was what doing too much?
- 57:40Speaker 1: In her eyes, you're doing too much? You're what are
- 57:42Speaker 1: you getting mad for? If you weren't, if you didn't
- 57:45Speaker 1: still have feelings for him, you wouldn't be mad getting
- 57:47Speaker 1: angry in all of this. You're in a good relationship.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Don't mess up the good relationship you have by focusing
- 57:55Speaker 1: on this one. You said it, you already know the answer.
- 57:58Speaker 1: You wanted us to coast line with you, or We're
- 58:01Speaker 1: not gonna do that. We're gonna tell you what's right
- 58:03Speaker 1: on this show. Well, at least I am. I try,
- 58:06Speaker 1: but okay, she's too young. What do you care? What
- 58:11Speaker 1: do you care? Leave this man alone? Go on with
- 58:14Speaker 1: your life. You're a fifty eight year young woman. You
- 58:17Speaker 1: have said this. You are in a relationship. Concentrate on that. Okay,
- 58:23Speaker 1: you're so upset that your ex acted like you were
- 58:25Speaker 1: nothing to him, Well, so act like he's nothing to you.
- 58:31Speaker 1: Let it go, period, Jay. Hello, No you're not at home.
- 58:37Speaker 1: I just want to leave you a message on the phone.
- 58:40Speaker 1: This is thought. Yeah, come on over here. Hello is
- 58:46Speaker 1: me again. So this is some really good loving and
- 58:52Speaker 1: some really good weed. I know you calling you all
- 58:57Speaker 1: these messages. I'm calling you. I'm calling back, and I'm
- 59:02Speaker 1: not gonna get it up. I'm thinking about your body,
- 59:06Speaker 1: and you know, once I started thinking about that body,
- 59:09Speaker 1: and then I get that weed in you. You know
- 59:11Speaker 1: how you act. I just can't can't forget it, and
- 59:15Speaker 1: just can't forget it. Hello, ordered order the pizza, and
- 59:21Speaker 1: you if you could get over here before the pizza,
- 59:24Speaker 1: get over here. We got good loving pizza and weed.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Now how you gonna yeah me again? I just went
- 59:37Speaker 1: out and got some boxed wine and got that boxed wine,
- 59:43Speaker 1: boxed wine. I know you like box wine. Pizza's already here.
- 59:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna put that in microwave by time you get here.
- 59:53Speaker 1: And the door it's open. Okay, I talked to you later.
- 59:56Speaker 1: I love you. Yeah. You see how stupid that sounds, ma'am.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: All right, you don't want this to be your life. Okay,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: come on, let this man go. Well, we'll have part
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: two of the Strawberry letter. We gotta hear from the
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: nephew and Hanna we gotta here Part two of the letter.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: The subject is oh, lying cheat and thought. We'll be
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: back at twenty three after the hour right after this.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: You're listening to the show. All right, guys, So let's
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. Subject, oh, lyon cheat and thought.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: I love saying that. I love saying that. I'll get
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: to say stuff like that a lot. All right, here
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: we go. Fifty eight year old fifty eight excuse me,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Your young woman wrote this letter. She's been involved with
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: this man since two thousand and seven. He's fifty five
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: years old. She calls him a lying cheat and thought.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: They're not together right now, but she can't get rid
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: of him. When they were together, he cheated on her
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: over and over again, and the worst part was he
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: got her addicted to smoking weed. They stayed together. Try
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: to work it out because she loved him. It's nowhere
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: in the letter doesn't say he loved her. Down a
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: few paragraphs, it says that he texted her to see
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: if she could come over to have sex with him
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: because he missed her body. He never once said he
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: missed her, he loved her, any of that. Now he's
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: dating a twenty seven year old girl, and and she
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: says he's doing her the same way he did he
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: did her. He's doing the young girl the same way,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: cheating and lying on her anyway. So what she wants
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: to know is should she bust him out? Should she
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: just focus on her new relationship that she has, or
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: is she doing too much? And you know, of course
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: she should focus on her new relationship and not try
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: to inform this young woman of what's going on or
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: what kind of person he is. That's none of your business.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Your business is your new and current relationship. Okay, let
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: them be. Stop answering his texas, stop answering his phone calls,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: and go on with your life. And all right, So
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: we heard from j. Now you all right, all right?
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: We heard from Jay. Jay may come in intermittently. I
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: have a feeling throughout throughout this segment, but nephew, I
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: have a feeling Carla, But nephew, what you got ain't
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: here to help the lady. The lady wants this girl
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: to know. You understand. So it's certain things you got
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: to do, but you got to be really willing to
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: take the risk. Okay, go over there next time he
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: called out your body, go over there, have sex with him,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: but leave your underwear in the bed. Do that, okay,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: if you really won't hurt a no, send your body
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: part pictures, you know, like half a as Send that
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: to his phone. She gonna get that half a not
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: a hole. Half. You couldn't have said one cheek. Okay,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: it's the same thing. Here you go. Here's what I
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: want you to do. Now, get y'all a picture in
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: the full act. Okay, take that and make a poster
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: with it. Mail it to the house, you see, because
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: you won't hurt to know so bad. This is how
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: you let somebody know something. Now while you in that
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: whole act, video a little bit of that. Send that
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: to his mama and them. It's a way for people
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: to find out if this is what you really wanted.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Huh huh. Don't don't she want him? Don't she want
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: her to know, But why would you hurt this young
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: woman who's in this relationship? She twinted something. She'll bounce
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: back from this. Okay, she'll bounce back from this. She'll
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: get through this. Don't we want huh to know? Isn't
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: that what the letter is about? She wants the woman
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: to know, right, she wants to woman to know to
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: get back at the man. You'll know once we get
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: this booty over there. At anytime there's a booty delivery,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: it's pretty much an understanding of what's going on. Am
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I right around? Right? We want that? I think she
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: should stay out of it. Why does she have to
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: I just think she should stay out of it early
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: because he belittled her, and the woman has to know.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Now you have to understand you ain't never been be
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: a little before when somebody had to know, she's been
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: belittle she has to know. We have to get this
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: message out text now, it's the methods. Okay, text half
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: a behind and you get what you're looking for. I'm
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: trying to help, But don't you think she's going to
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: mess up her current relationship. Concern is letting this woman
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: know that. But her concern is she said it in
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: the letter. I don't want to mess up my new
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: relationship by focusing on the old one. Okay, So let
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: me tell you something that I shouldn't be telling me.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: There's an app called Duo. Okay. This app allows you
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: to video whatever you want to video, and then in
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: twenty four hours it disappears. So do what you want
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: on the duo. Opp send it. She'll see it, but
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: she ain't gonna be able to hold it like something
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: incriminating some of evidence. Only it's gonna leave in twenty
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: four hours. You see what? How you? I just put
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: in some red light bulbs. I told you he'd be
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: back intermittently. I knew it. Are y'all agreeing with my app? No?
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: You know, ladies? Does the app work for you? No?
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Want her to stay out of it? I want her
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: to just you want her to stay out of it.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: That's not what she wants to do. We're trying to
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: help her. Let's help her get accomplished what she wants.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: She wants the girl to know. Now, can't we send
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: some behind over there so she knows? Because nobody is
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: filling the cheek, the half of cheek attention that I
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: think she deserves half, but over there so she knows
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: half of ass matters, not a whole. But we ain't
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: trying to God, it's not half a cheek. Hey, all right, guys,

- 1:17:51Speaker 1: normally is. So hopefully, you know, he's prepared and hopefully
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: they're all prepared. And Joe said he finished at fighting back.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: That's what he did. I saw that weekend. Well, they

- 1:19:00Speaker 1: words of mister Roberts. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: And we had a good day to day. We did
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: we did? He just say Roberts or Rogers Rogers. It's
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: mister Rogers. Mister Robinson is Eddie Murphy's version, right, yeah,
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: mister Roberts. That was a funny bit though it really
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: really was. It really wasn't a movie about mister Rogers life. Yeah,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: Tom Hanks, yeah, previous it looks really good. Yeah, it
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: looks good. Yeah, look good that Tom Hanks does. What right?
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Yeah this is true? This is true? Right I met him?
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Oh you mad Tom Hanks? Really yeah? He was on
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: the Home Show. Wow. Wow. Senio gave him a leather
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: jacket like a hip hop jacket would eight ball on
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the back day, Yeah, something like that. You know, Oh
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: those were hot back in the day. We the stuff
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: you wore, like the did you went cross colors, Timmy? Yeah,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: yeah we were and we were then proudly Yeah. Let
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: me tell you guys something. All of that is back now.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Like my daughter, that's what they that's what they wear now.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: They wear all the nineties and stuff from the eighties.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: They wear all of that. I love it. I love it.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: And let me tell you, I was shopping with my
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: daughter and she one of these stories that she likes,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: and they sell all that kind of stuff, and she
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: goes and you know, mommy, the eighties are back. It's
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: just better now because we have like better technology, you know,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: a long long time ago when you were you know,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: back then, like it's old like old. I just looked
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: at her and the lady behind the behind the cash,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: little girl, little girl, what the cash here? Just shook
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: her head, just kept bringing up the stuff like, ain't
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: that so? I do not I do not miss going
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: to school because I wore husky jeans and tough skins. Wow,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: that was from sins, that's right. The word husky was
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: on back pocket. This bold husky. Now they're called kurvy.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: But yeah, but by the time I got the eighth grade,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: we had hidden just hit Calvin Klein and enjoyed as
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: lord designer jeans. Yeah. Can I tell you what I did?
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: To my kids. I worked in the tenlor shop where
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: we sold Calvin Klein and designer jeans, and we had
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: to take the labels off because it was a wholesale
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: store and they didn't want you know, I would take
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: the labels off so them on cheap jeans and get
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: them to the kids. They had no idea. All right, Jay,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: I think it's yeah your segment. Let's go everybody. Every
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: day we go around a room and found out what
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: you learned today. So, Sharleystrab, what did you learn today? Well?
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I learned a couple of things, but I'm going to
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: point this out. I did learn that it's never too
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: late for love. Okay. Sometimes you know, we struggle, especially
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: in the black community with black love and things like that,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: and we always want to point that out. And you
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: know about black love, we just do and love period,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: So it's never too late for love. I'm talking about
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: Cynthia Bailey and her now fiance Mike Hill. After dating
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: for fourteen months, he popped the question, she said yes,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: and they're going to get married, and I I just
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: love that her daughter was there to share in the
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: special moment, and so were his daughters. And I just
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: think you know, it's never too late for love, So
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: don't give up on your dreams of love and having
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: that special someone in your life. It can happen. If
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: that's what you want, it can happen, never too late
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: for definitely. Well, I learned that the entire city of
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Baltimore will be headed out to the post. Come on,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: come on, Baltimore, I mean the whole state of Maryland.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Let's get this done. Let's get this done, and we
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: got business to handle for the twenty twenty election. And
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I am very confident that Maryland will not let us down.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: That's what uh, nephew, tell me what you learn today.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: I learned if the President of the United States run
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: over that messing with my boy, Al Sharpton, you're gonna
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: get dealt with. Okay. Oh yes, yes, he does not
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: take biggotry at all. He is trusts me, he doesn't,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: that's my dude. Yeah, he's good. That head red on
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: and be ready for battling it. But he's battling you
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: know that head down. Man. He ready to battle, man,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: he ready to get up in there. Well, I have
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: learned on the Steven Harmant Morning Show today from the
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter once an old thought is consistent of getting
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: back his woman. He calls on the phone and he
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: leaves a message, I got sketties over him, making so
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: come on over him. I dad to eat the pizza
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: by myself. But come on over here there. You know
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: you want this. Come on. It's too high. That's too
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: it's a such thing. It's too high. I got sketties
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: and meat balls. And if you don't like that, I
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: got some ty ryman. You know you like that. This
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: show is so ignorant. That's strawberry. Let Jay. Well, I
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: think Murder the Hits was the best thing to day though. Yeah,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: but NASA, I know I congratulations again. All right, listen,
