- 0:18Speaker 1: People always talk about purpose or gifts. If you have
- 0:20Speaker 1: a gift, leave with your gift and don't let your friends, family,
- 0:23Speaker 1: or corework can stop you from planning or living your dreams.
- 0:27Speaker 1: My guests as actor, comedian, and social activists Earthquake. He

- 0:33Speaker 1: with numerous solo shows, film and TV appearances, and comedy specials.

- 0:41Speaker 1: including the CBS sitcom The Neighborhood. Earthquake also holds the
- 0:46Speaker 1: radio show Quakes House on Serious XM Radio Kevin Heart's

- 0:53Speaker 1: the show because you can catch Earthquake in his stand
- 0:56Speaker 1: alone headlining comedy special, Chappelle's Home Team Earthquake Legendary, streaming
- 1:02Speaker 1: right now on Netflix. Please welcome the Money Making Conversation Masterclass.
- 1:06Speaker 1: The one and only Earthquake. Hey, how are you doing? Brother? Brother? Brother?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Well you know some man earthquake. Um. First of all, Um,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I can I can start now and talk about the
- 1:19Speaker 1: comedy special that that's right now streaming on Netflix. And
- 1:23Speaker 1: when I saw it it featured in the trade magazines.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I didn't know that the special had already been taped
- 1:31Speaker 1: last summer. So talk about the sequence of how that
- 1:34Speaker 1: happened and then it was announced coming out in the spring. Um.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I got a call from my agent and she said,
- 1:44Speaker 1: the president of a comedy for next Flix one of
- 1:47Speaker 1: my number soon. He can give it today because Dave
- 1:52Speaker 1: and Netflix has came to a verbal agreement, uh to
- 1:58Speaker 1: produce my special. I said sure. I thought it was
- 2:01Speaker 1: a prank. Uh you know, I said, show And then
- 2:06Speaker 1: ten minutes later Dave called me and said he wanted
- 2:10Speaker 1: to produce my special. So that's how it came to fruition. Cool. Now,
- 2:15Speaker 1: when you look at your career, I can, um, you
- 2:18Speaker 1: know my career as a personal relationship. They've they've described
- 2:21Speaker 1: a personal story about you at this comedy club. My
- 2:25Speaker 1: personal story. I met you at your comedy club, and uh,
- 2:28Speaker 1: when I would just tell y'all, he wore me out,
- 2:34Speaker 1: took me out. Let me know, this is Quake's house
- 2:37Speaker 1: in Atlanta, Georgia. Had me go back to my hotel
- 2:40Speaker 1: room looking at my little comedy routine. But you're rewriting jokes.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But he was just doing when he was doing. Because
- 2:48Speaker 1: I heard about it. I walked in there with my
- 2:51Speaker 1: credits because see Dave Chappelle. Man, he said it right. Man,
- 2:55Speaker 1: you are a legendary man and you're funny, but you're
- 2:58Speaker 1: good brother at heart, at heart, you know, because it's
- 3:01Speaker 1: all it's like, um mean the Jerry Rice at Rob Receiver.
- 3:05Speaker 1: If you Rob Receiver coming in, you look over there,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you see earthquake. You go. You can walk around and
- 3:11Speaker 1: ignore him, but in a minute, if you ignore him,
- 3:15Speaker 1: he gonna let you know who he will, who he is.
- 3:17Speaker 1: That's what happened to me at his comedy club. I
- 3:20Speaker 1: knew who he was, but I ignored him until he
- 3:23Speaker 1: got on stage before me, and then I had to
- 3:27Speaker 1: show the respect. But that's been a testament of your
- 3:30Speaker 1: entire career that people who may not know you, but
- 3:34Speaker 1: after they see you, they know you the real deal.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Correct Earthquake yes, I mean because I just believed let
- 3:42Speaker 1: the work speak for itself. There's nothing else. I always
- 3:46Speaker 1: felt in our profession that stage is an equalizer. The
- 3:50Speaker 1: credits can get you applause in the beginning, but the
- 3:57Speaker 1: jokes work. You could tell who's on their craft and
- 4:01Speaker 1: losing our craft. Um deserve to be there, and I
- 4:05Speaker 1: take that, so I always concentrated on the work. The
- 4:09Speaker 1: work speak for himself. Now. One of my tastes and
- 4:13Speaker 1: one of my all time favorite jokes man you did
- 4:16Speaker 1: was the dog doing O. J. Simpson Trial. But it's
- 4:24Speaker 1: the ability to take abstract characters bringing like like they're
- 4:27Speaker 1: actually real. You know what I'm saying. No, no dog
- 4:31Speaker 1: Kate talk, No dog Kate talk, but you we believe
- 4:34Speaker 1: in this dog and talk based on you. What what
- 4:37Speaker 1: is the sequence of it? Just listen to people, because
- 4:40Speaker 1: I know it's a stand up comedy comic. At one
- 4:43Speaker 1: point you just trying to be funny, and then at
- 4:45Speaker 1: some point it's just like a college degree. It's like
- 4:47Speaker 1: class two plus two equal four. You learned to sequence
- 4:51Speaker 1: things together and you're just funny and you know how
- 4:54Speaker 1: to make things funny. How do you look at the
- 4:56Speaker 1: world through the eyes of earthquake. Um, it's a it's
- 5:02Speaker 1: my tag. These ain't jokes. I think it starts from
- 5:09Speaker 1: reality or realistic to me, I tell people every time
- 5:13Speaker 1: they ask me how you do it, I said, it's like,
- 5:15Speaker 1: it's just like being in the hood. Man, it's a
- 5:18Speaker 1: it's the truth that blomed, that blossom into a big lie. Right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I was fighting this one dude, man, and then by
- 5:27Speaker 1: the time to get to you ra sean man, I
- 5:28Speaker 1: was fighting nineteen and I slam one underneath the dope
- 5:32Speaker 1: and it was two other came and then Mama came
- 5:34Speaker 1: over and I slapped it. Mama. It was fighting one
- 5:38Speaker 1: dude in the last for one second, but by the
- 5:40Speaker 1: time he got back got to you, Sha, it was
- 5:43Speaker 1: nineteen dudes. He had its arm for him with with
- 5:47Speaker 1: that had guns. The other dude had a knife. Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So that's my philosophy. It always start from a grain,
- 5:56Speaker 1: from the original foundation of the truth. That's why I
- 5:58Speaker 1: say these aren't jokes. That's where it comes from. These
- 6:01Speaker 1: ain't jokes, right, you know, as a as a stand
- 6:03Speaker 1: up comic man, it is really um an interesting craft.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It's a very lonely craft. A lot of people think that,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you know, it's a stand up you're happy all the time.
- 6:11Speaker 1: You know you you run abound just making everybody laugh.
- 6:14Speaker 1: But really, can you explain to people the world of
- 6:17Speaker 1: a stand up comedian from a standpoint of how we
- 6:21Speaker 1: have to how we see things, which sometimes it's good
- 6:24Speaker 1: and bad because sometimes we see too much. Well, I'll
- 6:28Speaker 1: tell anybody if you if you don't like yourself, this
- 6:32Speaker 1: ain't the profession for you, if you know, because you're
- 6:36Speaker 1: gonna spend a lot of time with yourself. It's like golf, man,
- 6:44Speaker 1: can nobody else walk? Is? Uh walk these greens? But
- 6:49Speaker 1: you um and but it's such rewarding man Sean, It's
- 6:55Speaker 1: a rewarding profession just to see these people because look
- 7:00Speaker 1: at people. We're mental health providers. Um we we especially
- 7:07Speaker 1: for our community. We change perspective of people because you know,
- 7:12Speaker 1: when you had your club and they're coming in. Man
- 7:15Speaker 1: is I don't know what with the way in the
- 7:17Speaker 1: world and one profession and its only professional I like musical,
- 7:22Speaker 1: anything else, anything else out here. We need the uninvited attention.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So you gotta get the uninvited attention, then break through
- 7:32Speaker 1: all that and then get them to do something they
- 7:34Speaker 1: can't get their self to do. That's laugh. That's a
- 7:37Speaker 1: hell of the obstacle, man, especially for our people. They're
- 7:42Speaker 1: sitting the front man anybody right, I mean I used
- 7:47Speaker 1: when I own my club, I said, listen, please be
- 7:49Speaker 1: nice to these people coming in here, because you're making
- 7:52Speaker 1: the comics John even worse. I mean, please, with the
- 7:55Speaker 1: way you serve, the way you give the ticket, you
- 7:58Speaker 1: make the show. Are you tuck my staff all the time?
- 8:01Speaker 1: You're just as important as the comedians because if you
- 8:05Speaker 1: set the tone there, then they're open themselves up to
- 8:09Speaker 1: be entertained. So it's the hardest profession in the world,
- 8:13Speaker 1: but the most reward fulfilling. We know, like uh, the
- 8:17Speaker 1: word sold out. I'm talking about audiences. Audiences, you know
- 8:21Speaker 1: they you know, earthquake, they're coming in and see you
- 8:27Speaker 1: talk to everybody and tell them that feeling of knowing
- 8:30Speaker 1: that you look out there because we always peep behind
- 8:32Speaker 1: the curtain. We always ask the people, how's it looking
- 8:35Speaker 1: out there? And they said, and see left all so
- 8:38Speaker 1: that brother, we've added the show. Talk about that feeling, man, Um,
- 8:44Speaker 1: it's the best feeling, second to having your channel. Um,
- 8:49Speaker 1: it's it's validation. People actually took their harder money stop
- 8:55Speaker 1: doing what they do and can say I am spending
- 8:59Speaker 1: this money to come see you there. I mean the gratitude,
- 9:04Speaker 1: I mean achievement and as a comic until comedians all
- 9:09Speaker 1: the time, and I learned this from you and from
- 9:12Speaker 1: you when Steve, that shows that you actually matters in
- 9:17Speaker 1: our profession. When you can put your name on a
- 9:20Speaker 1: market or build ball or sign and people stop and say, hey,
- 9:25Speaker 1: I'm coming to see with Sean McDonald. Give me two
- 9:27Speaker 1: tickets you got and then they said no, we don't
- 9:30Speaker 1: have come on, let's go here earlier. Now we got
- 9:39Speaker 1: they can't get no tickets to see you. And it's
- 9:42Speaker 1: just the most gratifying thing in the world. It is.
- 9:45Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass
- 9:49Speaker 1: with Rushan McDonald. Now let's return to Money Making Conversations
- 9:55Speaker 1: Masterclass with Rushan McDonald. You know the thing, uh, I
- 10:00Speaker 1: follow your social media and you know we all want numbers,
- 10:06Speaker 1: we always want to engagement everything. But your social media
- 10:10Speaker 1: is almost like social commentary. That's why I added the
- 10:13Speaker 1: words social activists in your introduction because you do a
- 10:18Speaker 1: running commentary. I feel with your social media boy videos
- 10:23Speaker 1: that you post, pictures that you find talk about your
- 10:27Speaker 1: approach to social media and how you are defining your
- 10:31Speaker 1: voice or finding your voice in your social post. Well,
- 10:37Speaker 1: and uh, some of the most educated people in the
- 10:41Speaker 1: world don't how can I put this, uh, the prestige
- 10:50Speaker 1: diplomas of degrees the back of their education. So I've
- 10:56Speaker 1: met some of the smartest people that never went to school.
- 10:58Speaker 1: There was the most utel people in my life. And um,
- 11:04Speaker 1: simplicity has always been great for me. Just keep it
- 11:08Speaker 1: simple and to get to the point that you asked
- 11:12Speaker 1: me about. I just talked about when everybody else thinking,
- 11:17Speaker 1: because all you have to do, you know what I mean,
- 11:21Speaker 1: don't say that man, you be I'm saying some man,
- 11:24Speaker 1: I'll be looking at what you be saying, like, oh,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I never saw that this boy is. And you know,
- 11:28Speaker 1: in the in the in the in the comedy world,
- 11:31Speaker 1: somebody call you a fool. That's actually a major compliment.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I said, this boy of food, this boy crazy, which
- 11:36Speaker 1: is another compliment because now we need a PC world.
- 11:39Speaker 1: You know, they got explained stuff. We used the word
- 11:42Speaker 1: crazy and food and all that stuff. You gotta explain.
- 11:44Speaker 1: That's a positive in the comedy world. And you are
- 11:47Speaker 1: doing stuff man, because you know, you look at it
- 11:51Speaker 1: and it's work. A lot of people think that posting
- 11:53Speaker 1: or grabbing ideas is is. So he just found that somewhere.
- 11:57Speaker 1: That's a lot of work. Yeah, there's a lot of research.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Shout out to my team. Um, we go through it.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Her name and stars, she's one of the greatest person
- 12:09Speaker 1: that handles my thing for me. We sit down, she
- 12:13Speaker 1: knows my voice of course, no my voice, and together
- 12:17Speaker 1: we uh we uh. We get together and say this
- 12:22Speaker 1: is the direction I want to go and we see
- 12:24Speaker 1: different things that we do, like this is put this
- 12:28Speaker 1: out here? Can you believe that' believe this person is
- 12:32Speaker 1: doing this? Se and you know, to get that reaction
- 12:35Speaker 1: everybody where and so many people like where did you
- 12:38Speaker 1: find that? I love it? Man, I I love it.
- 12:42Speaker 1: And it was one of the reasons you know, you know,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I wanted to make sure I interviewed you all my
- 12:47Speaker 1: platform money making conversation Master collapse because a lot of
- 12:50Speaker 1: people see talent like you. They see the end results,
- 12:52Speaker 1: they don't see the work. They think that you stopped working.
- 12:55Speaker 1: They think that you just focused on this, but really
- 12:57Speaker 1: it's a three sixty that you're doing. Like I said,
- 13:00Speaker 1: you're an actor you're a comedian, your social activit which
- 13:02Speaker 1: means that you're an influence on social media. And then
- 13:04Speaker 1: also you have a radio show, which means you you're
- 13:07Speaker 1: able to communicate tell us about your radio show. You
- 13:09Speaker 1: even to take phone calls, you play music. What is
- 13:12Speaker 1: your radio show? Um No, my show is called Quake House,
- 13:16Speaker 1: and it's kind of like a comedians view. We too.
- 13:20Speaker 1: We deal with hot topics, different segments and we do
- 13:25Speaker 1: have guests that comes on periodically. Um a list guess
- 13:30Speaker 1: is and our interview. And what I want to do,
- 13:33Speaker 1: like I've always done in my career, is whatever I
- 13:38Speaker 1: achieved in my career. I try to have a platform
- 13:41Speaker 1: to bring the next comedian that or nothing else. But
- 13:45Speaker 1: if I can't help the next comedian, expand our genre.
- 13:52Speaker 1: People know how great this profession is. I think personally speaking,
- 13:57Speaker 1: don't too many of us give back to the genre.
- 14:02Speaker 1: This is this would allow you to be this movie star,
- 14:05Speaker 1: this game show host, this this uh talk show, this
- 14:11Speaker 1: movie star, this TV start. Just do something that allows
- 14:17Speaker 1: you know your name to um to expand the John
- 14:21Speaker 1: for the next person said to yourself, can capitalize on it,
- 14:25Speaker 1: make it, you know, expand I'd say you don't have
- 14:28Speaker 1: to help me. Help whoever you think is funny, and
- 14:32Speaker 1: if you help them, it expand the genre. Eventually it
- 14:36Speaker 1: will come back to me because they they you funny,
- 14:39Speaker 1: wait till until they get to see me. And that
- 14:42Speaker 1: It's always been my attitude. Yes, now that The interesting
- 14:46Speaker 1: thing about it is that when we look at the
- 14:48Speaker 1: comedy special that you did, you know, it's always fund
- 14:53Speaker 1: me because I think I know somebody. I didn't know
- 14:55Speaker 1: you from DC, you know, because I met you in
- 14:58Speaker 1: that line. I thought you were Atlanta, born in Bread
- 15:00Speaker 1: and I thought that was your whole hood was from
- 15:03Speaker 1: Atlanta or people loved you in Atlanta. So how did
- 15:06Speaker 1: you make the journey from d C to Atlanta and
- 15:09Speaker 1: then Atlanta? Basically it became to me, yours your home,
- 15:13Speaker 1: your voice. Um well, I was in the military for
- 15:16Speaker 1: nine years and he wanted to do twenty years, but
- 15:19Speaker 1: the war broke out. So I told him, I said,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I own mind practicing for war, but I ain't fighting
- 15:26Speaker 1: for real. I'm gonna stay and see to get shot at.
- 15:30Speaker 1: So they're getting out the military. I didn't want to
- 15:33Speaker 1: go back home from d C. I've been a military
- 15:36Speaker 1: was nothing there opportunity I feel for me, but illegal pharmaceuticals.
- 15:42Speaker 1: So I turned on you know, I watched a lot
- 15:44Speaker 1: of TV, different educational shows, mostly like seeing and stuff,
- 15:49Speaker 1: and you know, you see the poles. They always got
- 15:52Speaker 1: poles and one of the boat what is the best
- 15:54Speaker 1: top five city that that man should go for the
- 15:58Speaker 1: best advantage, and they and they had allotta number one.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I said, well that's where I'm going. So I got
- 16:04Speaker 1: out the military, went to Atlanta and we're on stage
- 16:10Speaker 1: and they started doing common that first of all, you said,
- 16:15Speaker 1: you saw pole said the back black black best sitting
- 16:19Speaker 1: for black people to go to with Atlanta. You go
- 16:21Speaker 1: to Atlanta, you just go on stage. You didn't just
- 16:24Speaker 1: go to another comedy club. You see some comics. So well, no,
- 16:28Speaker 1: I mean I was when I was in the military.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I knew I was. I had to do something else.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And they you said, the USO, you know stuff in there,
- 16:38Speaker 1: and I found you know, they used to call me
- 16:40Speaker 1: skating quick well, skating stroke not anything to get out
- 16:44Speaker 1: of work. You know, I used to be a pol
- 16:46Speaker 1: barryman on guard. Anything to get out of work man.
- 16:51Speaker 1: So I did a little hosting in there in the military.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And you couldn't talk about sex she didn't talk about,
- 16:58Speaker 1: and I mean, you had to be hope. So I was.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I leant from there. So when I got the military,
- 17:04Speaker 1: I went on and I took this girl to a
- 17:06Speaker 1: comedy clip. And when I tell you, this chick was
- 17:09Speaker 1: that mean. It was shocked. She was all on the floor.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I said, I said, if you want to sleep with
- 17:16Speaker 1: this dude, just say you want to sleep with him.
- 17:20Speaker 1: But he ain't all that. You just jealous, I said,
- 17:23Speaker 1: I jealous, But I mean he's funny, but that ain't
- 17:26Speaker 1: the funniest thing. So she said, when you do better,
- 17:32Speaker 1: And of course I went and tried, and there's nothingness came.
- 17:36Speaker 1: It's been that way every since came in my life. Well,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I wonder what piphany was, no plan, It was just
- 17:43Speaker 1: what I tell everybody was that best decision that day,
- 17:47Speaker 1: and another better decision hasn't came this way. We'll be
- 17:51Speaker 1: right back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rushan McDonald.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Now let's return to Money Making Converse Stations Masterclass with
- 18:02Speaker 1: Rashan McDonald. Well, you know they tell me that our
- 18:05Speaker 1: podcast is the number of the fastest drawing industry audible
- 18:10Speaker 1: industry out there. I know you got serious, xem, are
- 18:12Speaker 1: you gonna do podcasts? No? I mean, I'm really good
- 18:17Speaker 1: with my radio show. I really want to continue that. Man,
- 18:21Speaker 1: I've really learned from y'all about it. I love radio,
- 18:26Speaker 1: and I don't think I'm gonna jump onto the podcast
- 18:29Speaker 1: unless they offered me a lot of money. Okay, cool, Well,
- 18:34Speaker 1: well I think that's gonna come your weight. Okay. You
- 18:38Speaker 1: know when I get close to the bike, I'm looking
- 18:40Speaker 1: at you that I'm looking at it because you're a
- 18:42Speaker 1: special talent. Man, You're you're an individual. I guess I
- 18:45Speaker 1: gotta at least ask you this course, where did earthquake
- 18:48Speaker 1: come from? Where did the name earthquake come from? Um,
- 18:53Speaker 1: to be quite honest with you, man, I use earthquake
- 18:56Speaker 1: because in case you know, she was right that I
- 19:00Speaker 1: wasn't funny. I don't wanna mess up my good name.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Ok So, so this didn't work, hey earthquake, Like, hey, man,
- 19:09Speaker 1: my name the dangel on the earth place when you
- 19:13Speaker 1: the comedian that got no coming Daniel s come up
- 19:20Speaker 1: here and say some dudes right here, No, that wasn't me.
- 19:23Speaker 1: So it came from the insecurity not having to believe
- 19:27Speaker 1: that maybe you know, and this this did get the bricks.
- 19:32Speaker 1: You say, go to a stray. I wouldn't mess up
- 19:35Speaker 1: my good name. Well, you know, so what is the
- 19:38Speaker 1: future for Earthquake man? Because it took me forever to
- 19:41Speaker 1: line up this interview. You had radio shows, you a tour, date,
- 19:45Speaker 1: your interviews. So obviously life is beautiful you for you
- 19:48Speaker 1: right now, but we know there's always more. What is
- 19:51Speaker 1: the future for Earthquake. Well, I'm finally m gonna go
- 19:58Speaker 1: on my own personal on tour called Earthquake Legendary Tour. Um. Yes,

- 20:31Speaker 1: from it, but you can never leave her. Leave her.
- 20:34Speaker 1: You ain't gonna never get her back. So I vowed

- 21:19Speaker 1: on that, come on down. We had two or three
- 21:23Speaker 1: now two or three. So with the blessing of God,
- 21:26Speaker 1: with the response that I've got from my special, tell
- 21:31Speaker 1: me about that response. Man. First of all, let me
- 21:33Speaker 1: get you my response first, you know, because I text
- 21:36Speaker 1: you a picture of me watching it. You know, let
- 21:39Speaker 1: you know off my screen. Okay, I'm watching you, brother.
- 21:43Speaker 1: You are what you say you are legendary. My take was, man,
- 21:47Speaker 1: that um because this always tell people when you know
- 21:51Speaker 1: something funny. Because my wife was in the kitchen, you know,
- 21:54Speaker 1: cooking all right, and then I'm just laughing. And then
- 21:57Speaker 1: next thing you know, she leaning behind my back, right
- 22:01Speaker 1: who that you watch the earthquake next to you know,
- 22:05Speaker 1: she next to me watching and laughing. I go, what
- 22:07Speaker 1: happened to the cooking? Oh that can wait? That can waite?
- 22:11Speaker 1: See see that? They say, I took somebody who wasn't
- 22:14Speaker 1: even interested and what was going on? Because she was cooking,
- 22:18Speaker 1: you know, and she one of the people you can't
- 22:19Speaker 1: talk and you can't talk to her. Why she cooking?
- 22:22Speaker 1: All right? She one of those people. Can't you see
- 22:24Speaker 1: I'm cooking? Okay, baby, I'm sorry. I'm just gonna slide
- 22:27Speaker 1: in there and watch earthquake by myself. Okay, then I'm laughing.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Did she behind me? Just standing? He funny? I look
- 22:38Speaker 1: back at it. Don't say nothing. Earthquake right next thing,
- 22:41Speaker 1: you know, she still got the spatula in her hands.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Sitting next to me. I say, ain't you're cooking? Like
- 22:47Speaker 1: I told you? So that lets you know that what
- 22:51Speaker 1: you're doing is relatable. It also can make people stop
- 22:56Speaker 1: what they're doing and grabs their attention and also forces
- 23:01Speaker 1: them force because you are a forced my brother, you
- 23:03Speaker 1: are a comedy force, and that forces such positivity that
- 23:09Speaker 1: you go, wow, he's special. That's what my response is.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Not tell me what America's response. Because you're doing five
- 23:17Speaker 1: thousand caeesars now, it's overwhelming, and you can see it
- 23:21Speaker 1: when you know it's a comic. When you walk in
- 23:24Speaker 1: clubs and I'm talking about mainstream clubs, how you doing great?
- 23:32Speaker 1: Can we do something? You know? And you know our
- 23:37Speaker 1: Caucasian caramel parts come to you and say, you know,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I choke for me. I don't know about you. I
- 23:46Speaker 1: love competing against man without Caucasian comedians to let them
- 23:53Speaker 1: know that we don't because they think we need some
- 23:56Speaker 1: of them, not saying all of them something. The stigma
- 24:00Speaker 1: is that we need to cuss. We don't. We don't
- 24:02Speaker 1: write out you know it's urban. No man, no, no, no,
- 24:08Speaker 1: no no. I'm gonna show you how we do it.
- 24:11Speaker 1: We we can. We compete at the highest level of
- 24:15Speaker 1: the highest level intellectually. And when it was being accepted
- 24:20Speaker 1: from I mean every comedian, no matter what's your nationality
- 24:26Speaker 1: that's in this fields telling you this is the greatest
- 24:28Speaker 1: thing that they ever seen. It was this rewarding and
- 24:32Speaker 1: it's always been rewarding. I love my fans to the death.

- 24:40Speaker 1: really fan a special gratitude and humility when it's come
- 24:47Speaker 1: from the peers such as persons such as yourself, because

- 24:53Speaker 1: to me and say, Man, you don't need to say
- 24:54Speaker 1: that while you um when we was doing different shows
- 24:58Speaker 1: to go, don't cuss on that, don't go this. That's
- 25:01Speaker 1: all you need to do. And I've always took the advice.
