- 2:08Speaker 1: dig me now. I wanted only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:12Speaker 1: radio show. Man o man o man. Cold piece of work,
- 2:17Speaker 1: That's all I can tell you. God is just a
- 2:19Speaker 1: cold piece of work. He's he's the coldnest I've ever
- 2:22Speaker 1: seen at it. When he comes to fixing your life
- 2:25Speaker 1: and getting it together and forgiveness and giving you a
- 2:28Speaker 1: second chance and writing the ship and all of that,
- 2:31Speaker 1: howe you want to phrase it, He's the best I've
- 2:33Speaker 1: ever seen at it. That's none greater. You just can't
- 2:35Speaker 1: beat him. I'm sorry, appreciate you out there trying and everything.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But when you get through, you know God is always
- 2:41Speaker 1: standing by. That's the cool thing about him. Today, I
- 2:44Speaker 1: wanna talk to you about something. I was having a
- 2:48Speaker 1: conversation he was a young man, about longevity and it
- 2:52Speaker 1: kind of started me to thinking. And somebody had asked
- 2:55Speaker 1: me one time to explain how I've managed to stay relevant,
- 3:01Speaker 1: ah for so many years. And I have to be
- 3:04Speaker 1: honest with you. You know, I cannot fix this any
- 3:07Speaker 1: other way. I owe a great amount of this because
- 3:11Speaker 1: of God's grace and mercy. God has shown me a
- 3:15Speaker 1: lot of favor in my life, and the things he's
- 3:18Speaker 1: done for me he'll do for you. I'm just saying
- 3:21Speaker 1: He's showing me a lot of mercy and a lot
- 3:24Speaker 1: of favor in my life because one thing, I kept
- 3:29Speaker 1: trying to get it right, you know. I mean, God
- 3:31Speaker 1: recognizes your effort even when you're blow in it. He
- 3:34Speaker 1: recognizes your sincerity even when you're blowing it. You know,
- 3:38Speaker 1: he knows your heart even when you're blowing it. Marvin
- 3:42Speaker 1: Sapp got a song that says he saw the best
- 3:45Speaker 1: in me when everyone else around me could only see
- 3:49Speaker 1: the worst in me. That that song is never more
- 3:52Speaker 1: true than than for me and for a lot of us.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I mean, God just happened to kept seeing the best
- 3:58Speaker 1: in me when everybody else, everybody else around me could
- 4:02Speaker 1: only see the worst in me because I made plenty mistakes.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And but man on man on man, his mercy and
- 4:07Speaker 1: grace just kept coming through. The other thing of it,
- 4:10Speaker 1: the second part of it that I would have to say,
- 4:13Speaker 1: is because what has allowed me to have this longevity.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I was never afraid to reinvent myself. Do not be
- 4:23Speaker 1: afraid to reinvent yourself. Look, man, don't get stuck on you.
- 4:29Speaker 1: See you you end up in your way a lot
- 4:32Speaker 1: of times because you get stuck on you. Well, I
- 4:34Speaker 1: said I was gonna do this, and I said I
- 4:36Speaker 1: was gonna be that. And I said I was gonna
- 4:38Speaker 1: go this a way, and I said it, Well, I
- 4:40Speaker 1: I predicted it would turn out like that, So I'm
- 4:42Speaker 1: just gonna keep on. Wait a minute, whoa, whoa, whoa,
- 4:45Speaker 1: slow down, partner, you're getting stuck on you now, I
- 4:49Speaker 1: said I was gonna be That's where I went to
- 4:51Speaker 1: college for Okay, all right, Now, many people went to
- 4:53Speaker 1: college ain't working in their degree. You know, you make
- 4:56Speaker 1: a decision in college from somewhere around between age sevent
- 5:00Speaker 1: in twenty one of what your major is? What is
- 5:02Speaker 1: you're saying, I'm gonna stake my claim in life right now?
- 5:05Speaker 1: This is what I want to be, this is what
- 5:07Speaker 1: I want to do. The problem is you're making that
- 5:10Speaker 1: decisions so early in life when you ain't even discovered
- 5:12Speaker 1: who you really are. Let a long what you want
- 5:14Speaker 1: to do. After you discover who you really are, That
- 5:17Speaker 1: helps lead you to what you should be doing. But
- 5:19Speaker 1: college forces you to make a decision and a call
- 5:22Speaker 1: on your life. Some people can do that early on,
- 5:25Speaker 1: some people know early on what it is. The average
- 5:28Speaker 1: person does it, and so you go to college. You
- 5:30Speaker 1: make this decision about your life, just big decision, and
- 5:33Speaker 1: then you find out you're not happy. You know how
- 5:35Speaker 1: many people I know when to law school man want
- 5:37Speaker 1: to be lawyers, became lawyers and went, wow, man, I'm
- 5:40Speaker 1: tired of arguing with people in court. This is what
- 5:42Speaker 1: I really want to do and change or become very
- 5:44Speaker 1: successful at it. Because they were not afraid to reinvent themselves.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You must lose the fear of reinventing yourself. So what
- 5:56Speaker 1: your job is? Secure down? Now, what do you really
- 6:00Speaker 1: want to do? What does God really have out there
- 6:03Speaker 1: available for you? See, you know you can get a job,
- 6:07Speaker 1: help you pay the bills, But if you want to
- 6:09Speaker 1: really live your life, what would you want to do?
- 6:11Speaker 1: If you are waking up and you don't like the
- 6:14Speaker 1: job you're going to, you're great for you got it,
- 6:16Speaker 1: But you don't like the job you're going to, you
- 6:19Speaker 1: know what you ought to do. You all to consider
- 6:20Speaker 1: reinventing yourself because if you don't, then you just stuck
- 6:25Speaker 1: on you. You have not opened up yourself to all
- 6:28Speaker 1: the possibilities that God has for you. You're stuck on you. Well,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I got this job. I better hang on to it
- 6:34Speaker 1: because WHOA. That's not an exhibition of faith. Faith is
- 6:38Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see and seeing
- 6:41Speaker 1: the how to do something. It ain't always crystal clear.
- 6:45Speaker 1: It ain't clear to me now A lot of times
- 6:48Speaker 1: what to do next is often not clear to me.
- 6:51Speaker 1: The only thing is clear to me is that I
- 6:53Speaker 1: operate on the faith that God didn't bring me this
- 6:55Speaker 1: far to leave me, that God won't leave me hanging
- 6:58Speaker 1: out there, that God will always fix it for me.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And so I go forward, not backwards. I reinvent instead
- 7:06Speaker 1: of being stuck on myself, don't be stuck on you.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Open up the possibilities, step out on faith, take a chance.
- 7:15Speaker 1: That's all life is as a series of chances. Man,
- 7:19Speaker 1: life is ten percent. What happens to you is what
- 7:23Speaker 1: you do about what happened to you. That's what life is. Man,
- 7:27Speaker 1: Life gonna happen to everybody. Gonna get grief, everybody's gonna
- 7:30Speaker 1: have a setback, everybody gonna fail at somebody. Everybody gonna
- 7:34Speaker 1: gonna get it wrong, everybody gonna get the wrong person.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Everybody gonna make a mistake, everybody gonna do something in
- 7:40Speaker 1: their youth. Everybody. So what now? Guess what? Now that
- 7:45Speaker 1: you know that something's gonna happen in your life, that's
- 7:48Speaker 1: ten percent of it. The is what you're gonna do
- 7:50Speaker 1: about what happens. See, that's the business right there. That's why, Man,
- 7:55Speaker 1: You've got to constantly, constantly be trying to do something,
- 7:59Speaker 1: Be looking around, be open to it. Explore. You know,
- 8:03Speaker 1: if if you're saying to yourself, man, it ought to
- 8:06Speaker 1: be more to my life than this, then open up
- 8:08Speaker 1: your eyes and see, open up your mind and explore,
- 8:12Speaker 1: Open up your ears and here something is out there.
- 8:16Speaker 1: That's why you keep having that thought. It's something out
- 8:19Speaker 1: there in the universe that's going, Hey, hey, hey, I'm
- 8:23Speaker 1: over here. Look over here. Try this. Come on, man,
- 8:25Speaker 1: try this. It could be God tapping you on the shoulder.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Hey man, hey girl, this ain't what I made you for.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I want you to look over here. But if you
- 8:33Speaker 1: stuck on you, if you're scared to step out on faith,
- 8:37Speaker 1: if you're scared of water happened, if you lose your job,
- 8:40Speaker 1: if you're scared of what hell, Because let me tell
- 8:41Speaker 1: you something. If you lose your job, you already know
- 8:43Speaker 1: what's gonna happen. If you live in check to check,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you already know you're gonna get real tight up in
- 8:47Speaker 1: here and some things about to go wrong. But if
- 8:50Speaker 1: you explore other opportunities and put some effort towards it,
- 8:55Speaker 1: that may be a slight period where you miss a
- 8:57Speaker 1: check for a month. Do you know a lot of
- 8:59Speaker 1: people won't switch jobs because they can't take the month
- 9:02Speaker 1: delay in checks. They don't go after the greater opportunity
- 9:06Speaker 1: because they're scared of letting go of the current opportunity.
- 9:10Speaker 1: So I gotta work two weeks. Then they're gonna hold
- 9:12Speaker 1: a check that be a month, and I'm gonna stay here.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You know how many people playing it's safe today that
- 9:18Speaker 1: ain't gonna grow. You know how many people are afraid
- 9:21Speaker 1: to reinvent themselves that ain't gonna grow. You know how
- 9:24Speaker 1: many people that stuck on theirselves that ain't gonna grow. Man,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I wake up every day to see what God got
- 9:31Speaker 1: for me? What else you got? I'm open what you got?
- 9:34Speaker 1: You think I can do that? You think all to
- 9:36Speaker 1: go down there and see, all right, let's sign up.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I open myself to that. That's what you have to do. Look,
- 9:43Speaker 1: go big or go home? What you live in your
- 9:45Speaker 1: life for on a mediocre scale, when your life could
- 9:49Speaker 1: be big, a life full of abundance. God comes to
- 9:52Speaker 1: give you that He didn't come in into your life
- 9:55Speaker 1: so you could just be miserable and people, you ain't
- 9:57Speaker 1: no example of God. If you just over there miserable,
- 10:00Speaker 1: that ain't no example of God. Who you think you're fooling?
- 10:03Speaker 1: You claim to be all this wonderful Christian? You always down,
- 10:06Speaker 1: You always said you ain't got nothing. You always begging
- 10:11Speaker 1: somebody for money. What kind of God you serve? Man?
- 10:15Speaker 1: Or really, what kind of rules you applying from the God,
- 10:19Speaker 1: you said, Because the God we serve is an almighty god.
- 10:23Speaker 1: He is a God of abundance, he is a god
- 10:27Speaker 1: of of solving problems. He's a God that comes into
- 10:30Speaker 1: your life and give you joy and peace of mind
- 10:33Speaker 1: and and a way out and answers to problems and solutions.
- 10:37Speaker 1: That's what God does. So come on, man, open yourself
- 10:40Speaker 1: up to what God God for you. Quit being stuck
- 10:43Speaker 1: on you. Don't be afraid to reinvent yourself. That could
- 10:47Speaker 1: be just the thing you need to spur you on
- 10:49Speaker 1: the greatness. But you gotta take a step. You gotta
- 10:52Speaker 1: step out on faith. Man. God ain't gonna let you fall.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Come on now, all right, you're listening to ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:02Speaker 1: boys and girls, people from all around the world. I
- 11:06Speaker 1: can't I can't be no more excited today. I just can't.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Came up the championship huston astros and champs championship, no
- 11:20Speaker 1: championship team hip, and I want I want to do it.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I want to I want to address this right now,
- 11:27Speaker 1: the hate that came from the Houstonians on this show, Julian,
- 11:33Speaker 1: Tommy and Carl up after I saw the astros jump
- 11:37Speaker 1: out to a to nothing leave. You know, I jumped
- 11:42Speaker 1: on what I saw this coming? Yeah, look I jumped
- 11:48Speaker 1: on you see a winner, get on board. I jumped
- 11:51Speaker 1: on the astro wagon. Now, Timmy gonna text me and
- 11:56Speaker 1: where you'll get on this way it? Then I told Tommy,
- 12:02Speaker 1: wait a minute, your wagon is a hooked up to
- 12:06Speaker 1: my show up right on thatn't you jump on this wagon?
- 12:15Speaker 1: And if you weren't on net wagon where nobody to
- 12:18Speaker 1: know where you would know? You can't get on that wagon? Na, can't.
- 12:25Speaker 1: You can't get on the wagon. You wouldn't let us
- 12:27Speaker 1: on the Cleveland Capital little wagon. You didn't let us
- 12:29Speaker 1: on that one getting on the wagon. Okay, yeah, slide over.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Oh man, this is his text to the Houstonians. Let's
- 12:42Speaker 1: go strows. Yeah, he said he can't send that think
- 12:46Speaker 1: come on forever. I think, said the text back, I
- 12:50Speaker 1: can't saying you you need to stop. Then he text back,
- 12:53Speaker 1: we did it guys so much with baseball emoji. Let
- 13:01Speaker 1: me tell you so. Did you see the world where
- 13:03Speaker 1: I sitting where I had them trophy emojens? Yeah? You
- 13:06Speaker 1: know how long it took me? You know how long
- 13:11Speaker 1: it took me to find them baseball. I found some
- 13:14Speaker 1: championship rings too, but I couldn't find them again. Then
- 13:21Speaker 1: I just started then so okay, man, so then let
- 13:24Speaker 1: me tell what I did. You know, once I discovered
- 13:27Speaker 1: that I really don't know how to do this him, Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 1: then I started sending stuff and then I found the airplane.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I said, championship. I love y'all so much. And then
- 13:37Speaker 1: I found the airplane and just put it on that
- 13:41Speaker 1: I don't know what you get a plane? Yeah, because
- 13:46Speaker 1: I couldn't find I could never find the championship. Reading again,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I was speaking of rings. What about the engagement too,
- 13:54Speaker 1: We didn't even talk about that. Yeah. Yeah, he wins
- 14:00Speaker 1: the World's and he gets engaged. Yes, he don't have
- 14:06Speaker 1: a day of happiness. He don't have a day to himself. God,
- 14:19Speaker 1: you're so bitter. He should really, Jake, really, yes, really? Really? Alright? Uh, alright,
- 14:33Speaker 1: coming up, something funny. Here's the question, what's the worst
- 14:37Speaker 1: reason someone's used to break up with you? Coming up
- 14:41Speaker 1: at thirty two after you're listening to the Steven Show.
- 14:45Speaker 1: All right, guys, time for something funny. So there's a
- 14:48Speaker 1: story about a man in New York looking for advice
- 14:51Speaker 1: on how to tell his girlfriend to lose weight. He said,
- 14:53Speaker 1: at first, I told myself I could get past it.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Everything else about her was exactly what I wanted. He
- 14:59Speaker 1: is really having a hard time telling her she needs
- 15:02Speaker 1: to lose weight. Now. A lot of folks are saying
- 15:04Speaker 1: that he is a horrible person, and others are defending him, saying,
- 15:08Speaker 1: don't we all want our partners to be attractive? So guys,
- 15:12Speaker 1: here's a question for you. That means, guys, everyone, what's
- 15:15Speaker 1: the worst reason someone used to break up with you?
- 15:18Speaker 1: First of all, let's address this story. Yeah, a woman
- 15:24Speaker 1: has the right to want what she wants from a
- 15:27Speaker 1: man and in a man. A man has the right
- 15:31Speaker 1: to want what he wants from a woman and in
- 15:33Speaker 1: a woman. Now, he says that everything about her else
- 15:37Speaker 1: is perfect, it's everything he wants. He just wanted to
- 15:40Speaker 1: lose some weight. Now, obviously she didn't gain this weight yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: and a lot Yeah, because he thought he could deal
- 15:47Speaker 1: with him, but he ain't handling it good. So I
- 15:50Speaker 1: don't think he's a horrible person. I don't think he's
- 15:53Speaker 1: a horrible mercer. He should tell her now before she
- 15:56Speaker 1: puts on more weight. More is going to be added, Wow,
- 16:02Speaker 1: because she thinks. She thinks it's like, yeah, it's okay, Yeah, okay,
- 16:07Speaker 1: So he should tell her, yeah, that will be more
- 16:10Speaker 1: it is, yeah, and that's problem with you go from
- 16:15Speaker 1: a flow model TV to a deep freezer. Really, he
- 16:20Speaker 1: needs to let her know now because his back gonna
- 16:24Speaker 1: go out. How much weight do you gain where you
- 16:25Speaker 1: don't want to walk into dough no more? You're right,
- 16:29Speaker 1: that's a that's a lot. Yeah, you're sitting that in
- 16:34Speaker 1: the draft. He needs to tell her now that How
- 16:37Speaker 1: do you tell her? Though? Reading this story, you guys
- 16:42Speaker 1: and too surely he went to therapy and everything on
- 16:45Speaker 1: trying to know how to tell her. Crazy he's probably
- 16:52Speaker 1: gaining weight, eating himself, trying to figure out a way
- 16:55Speaker 1: to tell her doubt he's gaining away, Okay, he using weight,
- 17:00Speaker 1: wearing about how ain't gonna tell her he had a
- 17:03Speaker 1: nervous break. Well, he should just if that's his issue,
- 17:07Speaker 1: he should just tell her and then she if she
- 17:11Speaker 1: wants to lose weight for herself, you're him, not for
- 17:16Speaker 1: him weight for that? You do it for other people? No,
- 17:20Speaker 1: you stay no, yes I do, I stay in shape
- 17:23Speaker 1: from Margie because Margie is looking at me. A couple
- 17:25Speaker 1: of times when okay, okay, baby, that she did okay.
- 17:32Speaker 1: But it's just been my experience that if someone tells
- 17:36Speaker 1: you and you lose weight for other people, it goes
- 17:39Speaker 1: the opposite way. You usually gain because you're depressed. How
- 17:42Speaker 1: do you want a man to tell you, Shirley, that
- 17:46Speaker 1: you should lose weight? How would you? Well, well, I'm
- 17:49Speaker 1: gonna say this you. A man doesn't have to tell
- 17:51Speaker 1: me that. He just doesn't. Okay, I do it on
- 17:54Speaker 1: my own, but okay, she ain't doing it on her own.
- 17:58Speaker 1: So as a woman, you and Carla, how would you
- 18:01Speaker 1: like for a man to tell you that he thinks
- 18:05Speaker 1: you need to lose weight? Well, I don't think we're
- 18:08Speaker 1: saying my man, who you talking to? Yeah, I don't
- 18:11Speaker 1: think there's no good I don't think there's a good way.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I don't think there's a about I just texted to
- 18:22Speaker 1: you every time you talk talk like that, because trust me,
- 18:30Speaker 1: she knows, she knows, he knows, she knows. Everybody knows
- 18:35Speaker 1: when they can't. You really can't say that too. Absolutely
- 18:39Speaker 1: before before Marjorie said it to you, you knew, Steve,
- 18:44Speaker 1: not really really no, did you not know? You just
- 18:49Speaker 1: didn't care? I can't believe you didn't care. I always care. Yeah, okay,
- 18:55Speaker 1: but you know I was just I don't know. That
- 18:57Speaker 1: ain't something that comes across a mann. Whre you Are
- 19:00Speaker 1: you comfortable? Yeah? Yeah, were you comfortable? Well, you knew
- 19:05Speaker 1: with with my level of income, I will okay, we'll
- 19:08Speaker 1: see and and and and that men are treated and
- 19:12Speaker 1: see if that man are treated different than headed women.
- 19:15Speaker 1: If I just started buying two wig shirt instead are
- 19:17Speaker 1: one that you ain't got no money? You need to
- 19:23Speaker 1: be concerned. But I love I love Carlin's answering, like,
- 19:27Speaker 1: so who are you talking to exactly? That's why you
- 19:31Speaker 1: can't do exactly? And you shouldn't you shouldn't, you shouldn't do.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I mean you look in the mirror every day, you
- 19:39Speaker 1: know Well, I think the best way to do it
- 19:42Speaker 1: is say, baby, look, we in love with each other.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I love you and you love me. But I think
- 19:49Speaker 1: what we're gonna have to do for each other, we're
- 19:51Speaker 1: gonna have to take care of each other. I think
- 19:54Speaker 1: we need to both just get in shape too, so
- 19:57Speaker 1: we can stay with each other longer. I do know
- 20:01Speaker 1: a guy who did say something like that to his wife.
- 20:04Speaker 1: He did, and she eventually she did eventually lost it.
- 20:08Speaker 1: He did tell her. He sat her down and said, honey,
- 20:11Speaker 1: you've put on a lot of weight. I don't like
- 20:14Speaker 1: you at this weight. If you don't want me to
- 20:17Speaker 1: cheat and go out and see other women who are smaller, yes,
- 20:22Speaker 1: I promise you. I know the couple, I know black people.
- 20:31Speaker 1: She was mad, she was mad, she was mad, she
- 20:34Speaker 1: was upset. But she did eventually lose the weight. And
- 20:37Speaker 1: that is a true story. It is a true story. Okay,
- 20:41Speaker 1: listen to me, fellas, that's listening to that. Don't go
- 20:43Speaker 1: in your house. Don't do it. I don't advise it.
- 20:46Speaker 1: And I say a lot of stupid stuff, but I
- 20:48Speaker 1: can't go there and say that now right there. If
- 20:51Speaker 1: Tommy wouldn't say, I don't think they're together now, I
- 20:59Speaker 1: must no, because she never forgot the way he did it.
- 21:03Speaker 1: She lost the way and left and got fine and left.
- 21:09Speaker 1: She left so surely he said, if you don't want
- 21:14Speaker 1: me to, if you don't want me to, I don't
- 21:17Speaker 1: want to. But yeah, I've seen right there. Okay, watch this.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna lose this weight and I'm gonna start sleeping
- 21:26Speaker 1: with somebody else. I'm gonna lose as much. How about
- 21:32Speaker 1: that coming up next the nephew, run that break back

- 21:48Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Miss Ani

- 21:53Speaker 1: right now, come on, nef, it is time for run
- 21:56Speaker 1: that prank back, Bring my breasts back, talking saying strong
- 22:02Speaker 1: with me, bring my breast back, your own, talking about chicken.

- 22:22Speaker 1: You engaged in Madison? Right? Yes, I am. There's a
- 22:25Speaker 1: problem with it or something? What's up? No? No, no, no, no.
- 22:28Speaker 1: My name is Ricky. Man. Have you heard about the
- 22:30Speaker 1: last person that she was engaged too? Well? Else she

- 22:36Speaker 1: First of all, let me just say this congratulations. Okay,
- 22:38Speaker 1: let me let me be the first say that congratulations
- 22:40Speaker 1: for y'all getting engaged. And I hope it worked with y'all. Okay, Okay,
- 22:45Speaker 1: here here's why I call uh, we gotta. We got
- 22:49Speaker 1: a situation at hand that we kind of need to
- 22:51Speaker 1: clear up between you and I. So what is it?
- 22:55Speaker 1: Me and you got a little conversation we need to
- 22:57Speaker 1: have about property. But we're talking about what property and
- 23:00Speaker 1: the property we lived in. But you're talking about this
- 23:02Speaker 1: is my property. Okay. Now I'm not talking about your
- 23:05Speaker 1: house or nothing like that. Oh some property over there
- 23:08Speaker 1: that belonged to me, and I'm trying to figure out
- 23:10Speaker 1: how we can rectify a problems. Well, I'm quite sure
- 23:13Speaker 1: if there's something not to pack up or whatever, you
- 23:15Speaker 1: can come and get it. I don't know what do
- 23:16Speaker 1: you have over here in my house that's yours? Okay,
- 23:20Speaker 1: the astal, the actual breast that she had belonged to me,
- 23:23Speaker 1: the breast I bought her some breast and plants. Man,
- 23:27Speaker 1: I ain't know nothing about no breast in plants. Okay,
- 23:30Speaker 1: you might not know nothing about it, but the bottom
- 23:32Speaker 1: line is I've spent ten thousand dollars or some breast
- 23:34Speaker 1: and plants, and I want my property back, buddy man Jeeves. No, man,
- 23:41Speaker 1: you're not getting back. What are you talking about pressing plans?
- 23:43Speaker 1: Ain't know nothing about that, man. I mean, I understand

- 24:52Speaker 1: But the bottom line here, them breasts belong to me.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Now we're gonna work. We're gonna somebody gonna pay me
- 24:57Speaker 1: a ten thousand dollars one way all the up. No, No,
- 25:00Speaker 1: you ain't getting nothing back here, man. You got to

- 28:11Speaker 1: So y'all don't know about the problem with y'all. Y'all
- 28:14Speaker 1: bought a breath, buy some breadth and see how you act.
- 28:17Speaker 1: None of the other guys on the show. I didn't
- 28:20Speaker 1: bought bread. Ain'tbody about breadth from no I've told you

- 29:25Speaker 1: have to single men on the show who are of
- 29:29Speaker 1: age where they shouldn't be single. And I think one day,
- 29:35Speaker 1: if not today, we should dig into the reasons as
- 29:38Speaker 1: to why you guys are singing answering that right now show. Yeah,
- 29:43Speaker 1: I had to two words that won't answer mine don't
- 29:49Speaker 1: won't know three words don't won't no more. We gotta
- 29:59Speaker 1: go over this no more more times a charm Jay?
- 30:03Speaker 1: What about me? Why I work? You're working on it, working,
- 30:16Speaker 1: But if I have a moment, you think about it,

- 30:40Speaker 1: Carla Jr. And Tommy the Houston Astros Bestros. Well, let's
- 30:46Speaker 1: celebrate their historic world series, a world series titled Today
- 30:50Speaker 1: with a parade the City Hall. The party is sure
- 30:53Speaker 1: to be a big one. The Astros defeated the l
- 30:55Speaker 1: A Dodgers and seven games Wednesday night, five to one
- 30:59Speaker 1: to a series that will be remembered for a long
- 31:03Speaker 1: long time. Get in here. My wife was going outside.
- 31:09Speaker 1: This You ain't in Houston. This is l A. Take

- 31:25Speaker 1: you ain't got no d It's great for the city

- 31:39Speaker 1: And three of our morning show members are from Houston
- 31:43Speaker 1: currently have residents in Houston. Yeah, we do proud to
- 31:47Speaker 1: say they from Houston. May Sir. After Hurricane Harvey, and
- 31:58Speaker 1: I told you show just call it what category it was.
- 32:04Speaker 1: We're saying hard you don't need no press after Hurricane
- 32:10Speaker 1: him of all, the third of Green's points home everything
- 32:22Speaker 1: you just destroyed us. Sugar Land just chicken out was
- 32:26Speaker 1: destroying sugar Land, getting messed up. Yeah, parts of yeah. Yeah.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Do you know something I used to want to move
- 32:37Speaker 1: to sugar Land. I saw the big houses, man, that
- 32:40Speaker 1: the athletes had out there, great golf. That was one
- 32:43Speaker 1: point in time where I actually considered living in Houston.
- 32:46Speaker 1: This is a nice I remember that, Steve, You remember that. Yes,
- 32:50Speaker 1: of course I was actually considering living in houses because
- 32:53Speaker 1: I've always liked the city of Houston. We had a
- 32:56Speaker 1: club in Houston, man, yeah, man, yeah, we had a
- 32:59Speaker 1: comedy club. Yeah. I loved it down there. Man. Nice
- 33:04Speaker 1: back then, Man, I could go to the Galleria. People
- 33:11Speaker 1: knew me, but not at this level. That's I was.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I was famous back then too, mostly black black in Houston.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Was the Shops Town Town Boy Shops Town Georgios Gator.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I called it Gator Walk. Man. I went down there
- 33:37Speaker 1: and Jay I was in there with you one Jayson Man.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Look at him just all up in that w I
- 33:44Speaker 1: was just buying jobs town Mall. One night in Houston
- 33:49Speaker 1: at the Arena Theater Super I was at that show
- 33:55Speaker 1: Dog I had on Gators. I had that show when
- 34:00Speaker 1: you came out that when you had to walk down
- 34:02Speaker 1: to the said man we did to me and the
- 34:04Speaker 1: boy show that Yeah. Still there, pink it was I've
- 34:12Speaker 1: never seen pink altogether. A man on a man took
- 34:17Speaker 1: a minute to find it, but I found pink Gates
- 34:21Speaker 1: that shop too. I couldn't wait, not at the gallery,
- 34:29Speaker 1: and I was hotly at the Houston Birds of the
- 34:32Speaker 1: Cities looking. Is that what the man? Yeah? Yeah, See Tommy,
- 34:37Speaker 1: you didn't go there because you wasn't old enough. Here
- 34:40Speaker 1: we go. I ain't had that kind of money, all right, Steve,
- 34:44Speaker 1: I was gonna get to that, give me time the
- 34:48Speaker 1: whole Joe. You ain't got to push me. I'm going
- 34:53Speaker 1: to anyway. Oh, I was gonna tell her how Poe
- 34:55Speaker 1: you was. He's here. Steve introduced ladies and gentlemen, voice
- 35:00Speaker 1: of authority, voice of facts and understanding, and the intellect.
- 35:05Speaker 1: One of the shopp is anchornows people in all of radio.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I ventured to say, these shoppers, ladies and gentlemen, our
- 35:13Speaker 1: very own miss and trip as well, thank you very much.
- 35:17Speaker 1: The really possible to one. This is entered with the
- 35:20Speaker 1: news though, and we got a poll on Mr President,
- 35:22Speaker 1: does that President Trump praising the Republicans draft tax bill
- 35:26Speaker 1: unveiled by the House Ways and Means Committee yesterday. The
- 35:28Speaker 1: measure would sharply cut both corporate and individual tax rates,
- 35:32Speaker 1: but the corporate rate would be reduced from thirty five
- 35:35Speaker 1: to something Trump insists would make US companies more competitive
- 35:39Speaker 1: and encourage more job growth. He feels that they will
- 35:41Speaker 1: put more money into the economy and and raising wasising
- 35:45Speaker 1: wages and hiring workers. However, that's never worked in the past,
- 35:48Speaker 1: maybe he hoping it will do this time. However, the
- 35:50Speaker 1: bill would also get rid of the deduction for state
- 35:52Speaker 1: and local income taxes and also limit the deduction for
- 35:55Speaker 1: mortgage interest. Now the President thinks the measure just peachy.
- 35:59Speaker 1: We're working to give the American people a giant tax
- 36:02Speaker 1: cut for Christmas. We are giving them a big, beautiful
- 36:06Speaker 1: Christmas President in the form of a tremendous tax cut.
- 36:10Speaker 1: So the President's urging the House and SENTI to act
- 36:12Speaker 1: quickly so that yes, he can sign the changes into
- 36:14Speaker 1: law by the end of this year. By the way,
- 36:16Speaker 1: thanks to the Vice President Pence, American consumers have now
- 36:19Speaker 1: lost the right to sue companies. The Vice president last
- 36:22Speaker 1: week broke a fifty fifty tie in the Senate, thereby
- 36:25Speaker 1: repealing an Obama era rule that made it easier for
- 36:28Speaker 1: people to sue firm. So now financial institutions will be
- 36:31Speaker 1: able to use the fine print to avoid lawsuits. President
- 36:35Speaker 1: Trump's verified a Trump account. His Twitter account went off
- 36:38Speaker 1: line briefly yesterday, and the world later learned it wasn't
- 36:40Speaker 1: a glitch, but somebody, a Twitter employee who was on
- 36:43Speaker 1: his or her last day work, purposely turned off the
- 36:46Speaker 1: President's Twitter. Former First Lady Michelle Obama so we can
- 36:50Speaker 1: get the First Obama Foundation International Summit this week, says,
- 36:53Speaker 1: while we protect women, we don't really raise men. We
- 36:56Speaker 1: love our boys and we raise our girls. We raise
- 37:00Speaker 1: them to be strong, and sometimes we take care not
- 37:03Speaker 1: to hurt men, and I think we pay for that
- 37:07Speaker 1: a little bit. It's powerful to have strong men, But
- 37:10Speaker 1: what does that strength mean? Does it mean respect? Does
- 37:13Speaker 1: it mean responsibility? Does it mean compassion? Or are we
- 37:17Speaker 1: protecting our men too much so they feel a little entitled? Uh,
- 37:21Speaker 1: you know, a little self righteous sometimes That's what she says.
- 37:25Speaker 1: That's right at the First Obama Foundation. You gene the
- 37:27Speaker 1: butterfly coming off to any minute after the hour, stay
- 37:29Speaker 1: tuned to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:32Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve introduced Jay Can introduced
- 37:38Speaker 1: the butterfly. Whenever you all want me two ladies this morning? Yeah? Yes,
- 37:43Speaker 1: who should Jay hook up with? I have several suggestions.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Do you know, but do people? Thank you? So mu
- 38:02Speaker 1: check Anthony Brown, Good morning everyone, Stephen Tommy Shirley College, June.
- 38:06Speaker 1: You're a good morning, good morning, good morning. I am
- 38:07Speaker 1: so excited because today is the parade Kinston ass stress.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, I love the Astrous. Um, so I'm
- 38:15Speaker 1: going to the parade today, the ass stress. I love
- 38:20Speaker 1: the Astros. So I'm I'm going to the parade today.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I have on orange tights and that I have on
- 38:27Speaker 1: a very very nice orange shirt to go with it.
- 38:29Speaker 1: I have a blue cap and it's just beautiful. So
- 38:31Speaker 1: I'm actually trying to get on one of the floats
- 38:34Speaker 1: and be with the Astros because I love them to
- 38:36Speaker 1: have much. So it's um it is a celebration for
- 38:39Speaker 1: the Astrous. I want to get my it's called at
- 38:57Speaker 1: whatever I am trying to. I want to get my
- 38:59Speaker 1: bet sign and by all the players. That's what I
- 39:01Speaker 1: really really want. Year man, I'm gonna get my I
- 39:07Speaker 1: have a real big bat and I want to get
- 39:08Speaker 1: it signed by all of the Astros and put it on.
- 39:13Speaker 1: You have a big bat, A big bat, a stick.
- 39:18Speaker 1: You don't have the ball? I do? I have to
- 39:21Speaker 1: I have I have a few boys I want to
- 39:24Speaker 1: get signed, and I'm gonna give them to some friends
- 39:25Speaker 1: in mine. So yeah, I don't think you're gonna baby
- 39:28Speaker 1: get your back signed by the player. Well, I would
- 39:31Speaker 1: just say that because first of all, you gotta get
- 39:34Speaker 1: close to him, and I don't see how you're gonna
- 39:36Speaker 1: do that very well protected. So I can't imagine them
- 39:41Speaker 1: letting you close to the players we needed on the
- 39:46Speaker 1: show security. I am gonna be on one of the floats,
- 39:51Speaker 1: Smith to Harvey, So I'm not concerned about being Are

- 39:56Speaker 1: do with the Astros winning the world championship, I don't

- 40:01Speaker 1: might be a part of the parade. You can't be
- 40:03Speaker 1: on the float, the float to for the players. You've

- 42:34Speaker 1: I make it go Jesus Christ, I can bring that

- 45:34Speaker 1: there was comedy. One lost two wires for them, that
- 45:41Speaker 1: one got a better life for the collar. Coming up, nephew,
- 45:44Speaker 1: Tommy s prank phone call. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 45:48Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 45:51Speaker 1: right about four minutes after get ready for today's Strawberry letter.
- 45:55Speaker 1: But right now, nephew Tommy, come on with your prank
- 45:57Speaker 1: phone call. Boy, come on. The Preacher's wife. What Yeah,
- 46:05Speaker 1: we ain't talking about no movie either, the Preacher's wife.
- 46:08Speaker 1: That's caller right now. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach
- 46:13Speaker 1: your sister Angela. Sister Angela, please, how you doing. My
- 46:17Speaker 1: name is Brother Clayton. I'm calling you from a Greater
- 46:21Speaker 1: Baptist Church. How you doing this morning? I'm fine, I'm fine. Yeah, listen,
- 46:27Speaker 1: I know that your husband, Reverend Reverend Jonathan, is actually
- 46:32Speaker 1: one of the candidates that we may be choosing to
- 46:34Speaker 1: be our pastor since our past pastor has stepped down. Yes, yes, yes,
- 46:39Speaker 1: I'm I'm very proud of my husband. I think you'll
- 46:42Speaker 1: make a very good candidate. Is a matter of fact.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Here at the church, we've been asking a lot of
- 46:47Speaker 1: the deacons and and and assistant ministers here have been
- 46:52Speaker 1: asking different questions, different things that they would be doing
- 46:55Speaker 1: once they became pastor, you know, like your first one
- 46:58Speaker 1: hundred days. What would you try and change here at
- 47:00Speaker 1: the church or try and make better? So to speak? Yet,
- 47:03Speaker 1: but but what my husband, he's not here right now.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Did you need to speak to us? No, not right now?
- 47:07Speaker 1: What what we decided to do? Uh? So, so Angela
- 47:11Speaker 1: Is actually called the wives and asked them a few questions. Okay,
- 47:16Speaker 1: that's a lottle different, and we don't we don't want
- 47:19Speaker 1: to take up too much of your time. You know
- 47:21Speaker 1: a lot of times. Uh if a pastor is stressed
- 47:25Speaker 1: at home, nine times out of tend, he's likely to
- 47:28Speaker 1: be stressed at the church. So I guess my, my,
- 47:32Speaker 1: my biggest question to you is is your husband stressed
- 47:37Speaker 1: at home? Uh? No, not that I know of. He
- 47:42Speaker 1: eats regularly, he's on a good diet, you know, go
- 47:46Speaker 1: to the doctor regularly. Just physical Um, pretty good at home.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I don't have a reason to believe that he's stressed.
- 47:53Speaker 1: He certainly hasn't brought anything to my attention. Okay, No,
- 47:57Speaker 1: I don't, I don't. I don't. I don't, I don't.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I don't think you find I mean, Andrew. What I'm
- 48:02Speaker 1: saying is he's stressed behind closed doors? Is he stressed
- 48:07Speaker 1: in that fashion? Um? I'm not. I'm not too sure.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I follow you. You say, behind closed to what exactly
- 48:16Speaker 1: what you mean by that? Is he? Is he stressed?
- 48:20Speaker 1: H in y'all's relations Is he stressed? Are you asking
- 48:25Speaker 1: me about my personal business? Providence? Well, what I'm saying
- 48:28Speaker 1: is if he's stressed at home, he'll be stressed at
- 48:31Speaker 1: the church. And if he's stressed at the church, then
- 48:34Speaker 1: the members are stressed. Then the congregation is stressed. So
- 48:38Speaker 1: the stress start with you. Excuse me. If you are
- 48:42Speaker 1: making sure that he's all right at home, he's gonna
- 48:45Speaker 1: be all right at the church. I'm sorry, brother, what
- 48:49Speaker 1: was your name? Brother Clayton? Brother Clayton. I appreciate you
- 48:53Speaker 1: um conducting whatever interviews you guys need to conduct with
- 48:56Speaker 1: the candidates wives. I do think that's pretty much personal territory,
- 49:01Speaker 1: and I really don't want to answer those kind of questions.
- 49:03Speaker 1: It's not personal since the angela win is so many
- 49:06Speaker 1: other people involved. See, that's why I'm asking you the question,
- 49:10Speaker 1: is your man stressed behind? I could assure you, yes,
- 49:14Speaker 1: that my husband is not stressed at home. If I
- 49:17Speaker 1: get your drift, he is not stressed behind closed doors, brother,
- 49:22Speaker 1: and I would appreciate you if you don't call. What
- 49:24Speaker 1: these kind of questions are you asking other candidates? Why
- 49:27Speaker 1: these kind of questions? Well, I was the one UH
- 49:30Speaker 1: dedicated to call to give you a call, and that's
- 49:33Speaker 1: the question that I decided to come up with because
- 49:35Speaker 1: I want to know if a man is gonna be stressed,
- 49:37Speaker 1: because if he's gonna have tension at at the church,
- 49:40Speaker 1: then then the congregation is going to have tension. The
- 49:42Speaker 1: church is gonna have tension, and the church cannot move
- 49:45Speaker 1: forward in the direction on. My husband and I have
- 49:48Speaker 1: been married twenty to five years and they've been twenty
- 49:51Speaker 1: five good years. If you get my drift, okay, he
- 49:54Speaker 1: is not stressed at home, and whatever goes on at home,
- 49:58Speaker 1: my husband has sense enough not to take it to
- 49:59Speaker 1: the church. That is not something he's gonna do. So
- 50:02Speaker 1: you don't see that about anybody else. Being stressed at
- 50:05Speaker 1: the congregation in the pulpit nowhere. Okay, we ask together
- 50:09Speaker 1: at home, and I appreciate if you don't ask me
- 50:10Speaker 1: those kind of questions. But sometimes, well sometimes a woman
- 50:16Speaker 1: does not realize that that a husband is stressed. You
- 50:19Speaker 1: understand that there's a possible way that you don't know
- 50:21Speaker 1: that he's stressed. So how can you get let me
- 50:24Speaker 1: get your phone a matter of fact, let me get
- 50:26Speaker 1: your full name. What's your first name? Let's just go
- 50:28Speaker 1: with brother Clayton right now, could you please answer this question?
- 50:31Speaker 1: How can you guarantee that he is fully not stressed?
- 50:35Speaker 1: Brother Clayton calling the Lord real quick, hold on it,
- 50:40Speaker 1: Brother Clayton. I'm an honorable woman. I'm a woman who
- 50:44Speaker 1: stands by my man. Okay, but you are asking me
- 50:47Speaker 1: some questions that's very personal, very private, very confidential. You
- 50:53Speaker 1: are asking me questions that that that a question is
- 50:55Speaker 1: the safety of my marriage? Okay. My husband is not
- 51:00Speaker 1: rest and I don't send him away from my home stressed. Okay,
- 51:08Speaker 1: how do you know? But what are you doing to
- 51:11Speaker 1: make sure that this is less stress? Clayton, I'm about
- 51:14Speaker 1: to end this phone call. Okay, now, if you know
- 51:17Speaker 1: we're not gonna end this phone call unto that we
- 51:19Speaker 1: know we I need to know the Reverend Jonathan is
- 51:22Speaker 1: not stressed at home. They put they assigned me to
- 51:25Speaker 1: talk to you, and that's what I'm going to do,
- 51:27Speaker 1: and I'm gonna leave. He is not stressed. I don't
- 51:30Speaker 1: know who told you that the man is not stressed.
- 51:32Speaker 1: If he has to stress around you, I bet you.
- 51:35Speaker 1: I bet you he stressed because you're stressing me right now.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Now we're both stressed out. How can we understand that
- 51:41Speaker 1: that man is not stressed. That's the end of this conversation.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Do you understand me? Give me your full name right now,
- 51:47Speaker 1: give me some intimate details, and then I'll give you
- 51:49Speaker 1: my cross the line. You wait till my husband gets here.
- 51:52Speaker 1: If this is is gonna cost him a candiacy, does
- 51:54Speaker 1: this so be, We'll find another church. I'd have some
- 51:57Speaker 1: choice words for you right now. I will give you
- 52:02Speaker 1: my name right now. Do you yes? I'm a writer?
- 52:04Speaker 1: Right now? The letter n N is in nancy E
- 52:13Speaker 1: N E p h E W that nephew. Your name
- 52:19Speaker 1: is nephew Clayton. My name ain't nephew Clayton. My name
- 52:22Speaker 1: is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You
- 52:25Speaker 1: just got pranked by your husband, Reverend Jonathan. You said,
- 52:34Speaker 1: this is nephew, Tommy. This is from the Steve Harvey
- 52:40Speaker 1: Morning it's your Your husband got me to prank phone
- 52:44Speaker 1: call you. Lord, I'm gonna kill it. Lord. I don't
- 52:48Speaker 1: mean that. Oh, I didn't trust me, sent me this morning.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I can't believe I let him. You know, thanks before.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Oh my god, Tommy, I will tell you if this
- 53:03Speaker 1: was twenty five years ago. Brother, I cut up a storm.
- 53:08Speaker 1: I'm so glad. I'm a safe woman. Well listen, listen.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Can I ask you one more thing? What is the
- 53:16Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land? The Steve Harvid Morning Show.
- 53:24Speaker 1: So you got to call people? That means something. The
- 53:25Speaker 1: Preacher's white means something. You understand that he wrote a
- 53:28Speaker 1: sixty two man. Yeah, the first lady, If you're gonna
- 53:33Speaker 1: call somebody, call somebody, either the preacher or his wife
- 53:36Speaker 1: or his KEI. Yeah, that's how you do it. That's
- 53:40Speaker 1: how you do it right. Stupid and I raise you
- 53:44Speaker 1: two stupids. That's what it is like to stupid. And
- 53:47Speaker 1: I raise you three stupids. King of stupid, King of

- 55:00Speaker 1: Another episode of a theater, The Chapman's but up next
- 55:10Speaker 1: The Strawberry Letter. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Before we got to Today's crazy Strawberry Letter. And this
- 55:20Speaker 1: letter is really crazy. You'll see another day. Another tyrese.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I don't even want to call it a rant. He's
- 55:28Speaker 1: just on social media. He's just airing out his feelings.
- 55:32Speaker 1: He is, Yeah, he is. Tyrese had a full blown
- 55:37Speaker 1: meltdown in social media and posted a lengthy rant threatening
- 55:41Speaker 1: to quit the Fast and Furious franchise. Okay, you know
- 55:45Speaker 1: what's gonna happen if he quits the Furious franchise, They're
- 55:49Speaker 1: gonna get another dog skinned person. And I don't want
- 55:53Speaker 1: him to quit. Shown Underwood know that he's not even minute. Okay, really,
- 56:02Speaker 1: he won't even know that. That's not right. Hits your boy,
- 56:10Speaker 1: Steve yourself together, Yeah, don't quit. I mean war war, war,
- 56:15Speaker 1: war war. He's going through Okay, he's going through a
- 56:20Speaker 1: custody battle, Steve, let's just review. He's been going off
- 56:23Speaker 1: in a one sided beef with Dwayne the Rock Johnson.
- 56:26Speaker 1: In his first Instagram post, he yeah yeah, yeah, yeah
- 56:30Speaker 1: yeah yeah rockall what everybody wants to know? Yeah? What's
- 56:35Speaker 1: He said that if Dwayne is in Fast nine he
- 56:39Speaker 1: wouldn't be involved. Then um. He took to Facebook and
- 56:43Speaker 1: dropped a video crying uncontrollably as he spilled the details
- 56:46Speaker 1: about his current custody battle with his ex wife, Nicky
- 56:50Speaker 1: Nicky Gibson over his ten year old daughter, Tyrise claims
- 56:53Speaker 1: that he hasn't seen his girl in two months and
- 56:55Speaker 1: desperately wants Nikki to drop the restraining order case against him.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Terrese also said that he's almost broke, swimming in legal
- 57:03Speaker 1: fees and can't find work because his ex wife killed
- 57:07Speaker 1: his reputation. He's really upset. Terse is saying started with
- 57:16Speaker 1: the Rock. When the Rock, I'm not coming to work
- 57:20Speaker 1: knowing his lines, being late, you know that type of stuff.
- 57:23Speaker 1: He didn't, you know, Tares's professional, and he says the
- 57:26Speaker 1: Rock shows up late, didn't know his lines, and so
- 57:28Speaker 1: he started talking about it and that was the beat.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Tyrese is really beefing with the Rock, Yes, yeah,
- 57:36Speaker 1: really if you don't understand, Yeah, and he's really he's
- 57:41Speaker 1: really crying and he crying. Yeah, yeah, he's really crying.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Steve on Facebook and stuff on social media, and go
- 57:54Speaker 1: back to where he started putting back on the bus
- 57:57Speaker 1: let him saying, you call commercial where you first discovered.
- 58:07Speaker 1: It's really sad though I hate to see him going
- 58:09Speaker 1: through it. I really do. When when I'm had to
- 58:18Speaker 1: call my little brother, Yeah, this ain't how this work.
- 58:21Speaker 1: You can't say if he's involved in the film you
- 58:23Speaker 1: out because now you all you're gonna do now is
- 58:27Speaker 1: compound the problem of other films that you might be in. Yeah,
- 58:31Speaker 1: because you can't drop out of a film because somebody
- 58:33Speaker 1: else is working in it. That's that's not how it works. Man,
- 58:37Speaker 1: you're gonna but you're gonna compound your problem because if
- 58:40Speaker 1: you having financial problems, the last thing you can do
- 58:44Speaker 1: is miss work. I'm gonna call my man Tres because
- 58:48Speaker 1: me and me and him good. I didn't notice. I
- 58:50Speaker 1: promise you I did not issue the custody battle. You know,
- 58:56Speaker 1: he's really but you can't and that's gonna help your
- 59:00Speaker 1: custody battle. That is not going to help you. Pouring
- 59:03Speaker 1: it out, pouring out his feelings. He's really affected by it.
- 59:07Speaker 1: I'm just but social media though. See, we gotta get
- 59:11Speaker 1: to understanding that you really solve your problems. Okay, you're
- 59:16Speaker 1: gonna just gonna sound hokey to some people. Whatever. You
- 59:20Speaker 1: really solve your problems when you have something that's so amiss.
- 59:26Speaker 1: That's what you have a god for that. Oh he
- 59:28Speaker 1: is a man of God. He talked, he is. But
- 59:31Speaker 1: because these people are social media can't help. Now. I
- 59:34Speaker 1: want them because I promise you. If I would have
- 59:37Speaker 1: gone his social media and scrolled down Man's it would
- 59:41Speaker 1: be some hate on that. There's a lot of hate
- 59:43Speaker 1: on a lot of hate would hate on that. But yeah,
- 59:50Speaker 1: call and talk to him. You've been the court at
- 59:56Speaker 1: the court more not even judy. All right, come on,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: let's get to the letter course. So many times I'll
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: sit down and called my missions on the back of
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: one of the pentions. Subject fight from my man, or
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: give it up and let it go, or give up
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: and let it go. Just Stephen Shirley, My husband and
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I have known each other since we were seven and
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: eleven years old. Throughout the years, we've had on an
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: off relationships. It didn't matter if we were exclusive or not.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: We always found a way to be together. We finally
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: got married in two thousand. We had separated for four
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: years until we found our way back to one another.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Now we've been together for the past two years. I'm sorry, baby, stop,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I've been messing with time. I can't pay attention, I
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: can't respond subject it goes, fight my man, It's okay, darling,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: fight my man or give up and let it go.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I think she means fight for my man or give
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: up and let it go. Dear Stephen Shirley, My husband
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: and I have known each other since we were seven
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: and eleven years old. Throughout the years, we've had off
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: and on relationships, it didn't matter if we were exclusive
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: or not, we always found a way to be together.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: We finally got married. We have been separated for four
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: years until we found our way back to one another.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Now we've been together for the past two years. My
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: problem is when we got back together, we clearly stated
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: to one another if there was a low tolerance for cheating.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: My dumbbut decided to get involved with phone sex with
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: a man that I have never met in person, that
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: I only dealt with through work, that lives literally states
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: and states away. Not only was I having conversations with
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: this total stranger, but I have also had conversations with
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: my ex boyfriend that I left my husband, that I
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: left my for my husband, that I left my four husband,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: that I left for my husband. Okay, I was just
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: trying to make out what she was saying. Well, my
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: light shine right now, It's been about six months since
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: has happened to my husband, and my husband decided to
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: leave me and the kids about a month and a
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: half ago. He refuses to give me another chance, and
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I just want my marriage to work like it should
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: have from the beginning. Every time I asked him to
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: come home, he just questions me, what am I coming
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: home to, what will be different, etcetera. I thought things
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: were going well. Since that happened. We went on and
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: um a cruise this past summer for our six year anniversary. Um,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: he's leaving just smacked me. His leaving just smacked me
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: in the face. Sometimes I feel like he will come
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: back home, especially when he comes safer nights at a
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: time and spurts. I really and truly love my husband.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I keep telling him just because I did what I
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: did doesn't mean that I don't love him any less.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I really need this man in my life, not only
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: for me, before my daughter as well. I have mentally
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: let go and let God, but I am truly scared
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: that I have lost this man for good. What should
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I do? Should I give up hope or should I
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: keep fighting? Signed should have known better to not let
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: others in. Okay, no time, we'll have to come back.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: But this harbery letter is posted if you want to
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: give your comments and read a letter and all of
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: that go to Steve Harvey dot com. You're listening to
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up in about twenty minutes.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Bad acting theater. Yes, something with the Chapmans. Yeah, but
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: come on see right now Part two of Today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Your response you want to hear go. I'm gonna have
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: to do this letter line by line and break it down.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: What's really wrong here? The letter answer is always at
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: the end, like I say. Usually, like Charlotte just said,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: I have mentally let go to let God. Okay, you'd
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: have made this decision after all it is you'd all listen,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: went down. Now you want to let go let God.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Now you want God to come in and fix all
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: these mistakes that are repercussions. Even when you have a
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: relationship with God, you still have to make amens. You
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: still have to let mistakes you make in their course.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: God is there to help you get through it now.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: You need him now, just to help you get through it.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: You may not be able to fix some of the
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: decisions you made. Let's go to the letter. Lady, fight
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: for your man or give up and let go? What
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: have you done to keep your man? This letter is
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: crazy from the kid, go, We have known each other
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: since we were seven and eleven years old. Throughout the years,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: we've had on and off relationships. It didn't matter if
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: we were exclusive or not. We always found a way
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: to be together. Now, right after that crazy mess, the
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: line is, we finally got married for what? What did
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: y'all even getting married for? You've been knowing each other
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: for since you seven and eleven, been in off and
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: own relationships the whole time. You even said it didn't
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: matter if we were exclusive or not. We always found
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: a way to be together. Ne sentence, We finally got
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: married for what hell did y'all too getting married for?
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: You have not had a marriage type track record or
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: a marriage type arrangement before you got married. Y'all's activities
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: never was handed in the direction of marriage, and you
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: decided to get married, and you ain't changed now one
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: of your behavior patterns even after the marriage, because you
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: didn't practice it before you married somebody. When you say, man,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: this is who I wanna be with, this is the girl,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: this is the man for me, this is it, that's
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: when you make the move, not after you ain't ever
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: been exclusive. It didn't matter that she was exclusive or not.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: So we got married for what. That's the dumbest thing
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: I've ever heard. I'm not, but I'm gonna take yoga.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Show me to tie in here. This is what you know. Then,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: then let's go down to the next line. Now we've
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: been together for the past year. My problem is when
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: we got back together, we clearly stated that to one
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: another that there is a low tolerance for cheating. Low
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: tolerance for cheating. Low means it's a little bit of
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: tolerance for cheating. See, that's why you did what you did,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: because it's a no tolerance for cheating in a marriage.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: You went in stating it was a low tolerance. That's stupid. Again.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Matter of fact, lady, this whole letter happening because you're
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: stupid and your man stupid. Now two stupid people and
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: gotten married. Now, stupid stuff keep happening, all right, let's
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: go on down and and and my dumb button. Now
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: here's where she gets. I told you she was stupid.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Listen to this, My dumb but decided to get involved
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: with phone sex with a man I've never met in person.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: That is really stupid that I only dealt with through
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: work that lives literally states and states away, not only
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: was I having conversations with this total stranger, but I've
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: also had a conversation with my ex boyfriend that I
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: left my husband. Fault that I left for my husband.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: That was one of them non exclusive relationships she had
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: before um before they got married. That See, that's why
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: they can't ever be there. She she was in a relationship.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Then Okay, of course everything that you're doing the dog
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: comes light. Well, my life got you. Now, it's been
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: about six months since this half and my husband decided
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: to leave me and the kids about a month and
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: a half ago. You know why because he can't get
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: past it. See me in different See if we cheat,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: we want you to get past it. But when you chief,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: please understand, we ain't fitting to get past because our
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: egos won't allow us to get past it. So you
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: canna save all that double standards whatever you wanna call it.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: But usually women don't do that. So when you do that,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I ego, our mail ego is damaged beyond repair. All right, Steve,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: you know we gotta go email us or Instagram. That's
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: your thoughts on today's strawberry letter at my girls surely
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: twitching gears now. Beyonce in the news. She has confirmed
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: on Facebook that she has joined the all star cast
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: of Disney's live action The Lion King. I love that

- 1:13:40Speaker 1: But the big jaw dropper is and a jaw dropper
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: according to Webster, because the writer's old school is something
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: astonishing as an awesome event. Well I've read the script
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: and none of that is in there. But anyway, the
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: jaw dropter was Chester's confession to his father about his lifestyle.

- 1:18:45Speaker 1: we're going back and forth, this little friendly, humorous banter
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: about how many exercise you were doing and how long
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: And I actually have a routine that you did not
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: long ago. And I wanted to actually give a free
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: workout to the listeners here if that's okay with everybody. Okay,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: So Steve on This is he did this a couple
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: of weeks ago. He did chess, triceps, legs, and apps.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Because we have a limited amount of time, we're trying
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: to we're trying to train his multiple body parts at
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: one time. So he'll do an inclined chess press, tricep,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: pulled down, leg extensions, and planks, going back and forth,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: three sets with each body part. That's the first circuit, alright,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: and this is minimal rest when he's super setting one
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: exercise chest, triceps, leg extensions, planks. The second circuit he'll
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: do peck flies, bench dips, lying down, leg curls, leg
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: lift holds, and that's three sets going one set from
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: peck flies, one separate bench dips, another set for lining down,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: let curls, and leg lift holds. Three sets. Now the
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: third circuit. Third circuit, he's doing declined chess flies. Three
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: sets of that, then three sets of Dumbell tri sep kickbacks,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: three sets of squat Caffrey's is three sets of bicycles. Man,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: I'm tired already. Okay, that's a total of thirty six
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: All of that come eight hundred and fifty five reps.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: And he's doing that in forty minutes. That's a lot.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: Thirty six sets, eight how many eight hundred and fifty
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: five reps? If you count all the apps for the
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: for the fatting plan I'm by the way, by the way,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: you go ahead. A rep is one repetition, one motion
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: of the exercise, Like if you're doing shoulder pressing, you
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: have the dumbbells that in the ale shape, you press
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: it over your head. You count, that's one. That's a rep.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: A set is how many reps you do at one
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: particular time. We normally do twelve reps a set. And
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: how many sets you do we're doing right now we're
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: doing three sets and each exercise and each exercise, right,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: So how many sets did I do in this last
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: thirty six sets? I did thirty six thirty six sets big,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: eight hundred and fifty five reps total. Now, why do
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: you look so slim in your lando? Can you do
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: rips and sets for somebody else? And what's he eating? Again?
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: Over right now? He's eating from right now? He's I
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: think right now, Steve, right now is about seventeen fifty
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: to eight hundred calories a day right now, I think
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: they were consuming eight hundred exactly seventeen calories. Are you
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: really hungry? And he's right now. I think he's having
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: fish and vegetables and then they'll have like a smoothie
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: shake take breakfast. I had this morning, damn man, But
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: it's okay, right, you just left you just left out.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: I had to work out and well now I had
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: my breakfast, which was steak, eggs and potatoes in the
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: portion that I needed. And then uh, one of my
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: sisters said, mrr would you like some coffee? I said yeah,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: and then she bought nine slices a pound cake in
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: here on the cutting board. Now went down and Jay
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: died better. He didn't want nothing, Junior on his third slice.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: So I will say I practiced constraints and because you
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: know I can't have nothing. You realize you're making my
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: job very difficult, right, Steve, But something because I'm not
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: gonna eat perfect all the time. And I think that's
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: one thing that people should understand. I really eat like
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: eight twenty time, right, I indulge. But Steve, let me
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: ask ob something because last time you were here, Obie,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: you said something about carbs being your friend, and I
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: wanted to ask you about that because most people say that,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: you know, don't eat carbs or low carbs, so what
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: you're taking The thing about the thing about carbs people
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: don't need to understand is when you take carbs out
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: of your body, it's like basically taking gasoline away from
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: the car. All right, you can't. You're not gonna be
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: a function That's why when you don't have any carbs,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: your brain starts to have issues. You can't think properly,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: you can't concentrate. So carbs is never your issue. It's
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: an overabundance of too many calories. It's not carves. Carbs
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: are your friend. The American Dietic Association recommends a minimum
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: of a hundred thirty five grams of carbs per day,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: a minimum just for basic energy functionality. What we could
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: have been eating carbs. It's not you, it's not. If
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: you look at watchers, they don't take carbs out and
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: these women have tremendous success because it's the balance of
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: food that you eat and how much you eat. It's
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: really more calories, didn't matter than anything. Yeah, you got
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: a drink water, I would say sixty cups of water
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: per day for sure. Hang on, man, we're gonna come back.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: I got someone want to ask you right quick, sir,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: back with O b One Kenobi, that's what we like

- 1:24:40Speaker 1: also talking about carves. And you said you wanted you
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: said you notice a difference in me. Oh absolutely, Steve. Absolutely,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Where do you see today? I see it around his
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: middle because he always says that's that was his area
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: right here. I saw it on your on your Halloween show, Steve,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: when you had your when you had your Lando Calrissian customer,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: didn't I tell you you look slimmer, You look you're
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: getting starting to get that V. Let me. I don't
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: mind the hate coming from Tommy. Let me tell you something, V.

- 1:25:17Speaker 1: are sixty that can do fifteen birbies birthie workout, burbies
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: a workout? Man. What I want people to understand is
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: that maybe Steve doesn't have ripped abs like me or
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: El cool j or Morris Chestnut. But but but what
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: I want to tell you endurance his endurance will beat
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: most of those young guys big time. His endurance is
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: no joke. He's got amazing endurance. And now he's doing
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: workouts like I said that are for thirty year old
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: people that he's doing. Did you hear what I said?
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Big man? With the v he's getting it ain't got.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: That's how can I tell you something? No dog, because
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: I don't like v LAN go ahead, what you know what? Man, Tommy?
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: But I look better than you do. No, Steve, you
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: he didn't even see that. Typically I want, I want
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: to give you guys some Typically only elite athletes are
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: training at or maximum heart rate. Steve, so he's an
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: elite to me. But Steve, when he's training. When he's training,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: I swear when he's training, he's at pent of maximum
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: heart rate, half of the routine, half of the routine
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: typically on an average about that's a arenaline. Hey, I'm
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: telling you. If you guys don't believe me, check out
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: the videos on the social media page. Okay, okay, you
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: know or you know what work out with us work
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: other than the other than the running. Tommy can't do
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: nothing with me really other than running. I promise you
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: can come in and do what you're doing, Steve. I
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: think we need to show on the Steve Harvey Country workout, Steve,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: And why you show me this V that you're talking about.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: It's coming right now, right now. Listen to me at
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: sixty right now. If we turn around and show each
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: other's back pictures of each other's back, I bet you
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: right now my backlosk better than you. It's not even fair.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: And we ain't even gonna see you were't even gonna
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: see your love handle your as gonna be. You got
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: it so wrong. I have a question. I have a question. Damn,
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: what are you eating right now? Your trainers right here?
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: What do you mean to say? Up? Oh? What do
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: I mean? I ain't need no cake right now? Not?
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: Well he's here? That that would be respects. Typical A
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: typical lunchmeal for Steve is like a chicken breast, uh,
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: some broccoli and a brown rice. That's a nice meal
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: right there. It's a nice healthy We learned a lot today,
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: thank you, especially about carbs for me. I love that.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Thank you so much. All right, we gotta go. Thank
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: you so much, Obie. And and congratulations Steve on you
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: weight loss and everything you're listening to the Steve Harvey

- 1:29:44Speaker 1: morning show members are from Houston currently have residents in Houston. Yeah,
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: we do proud to say they from Houston. May Sir.
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: After Hurricane Harvey, and it was d I told you
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: on this show called you know what category it was,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: but saying hard you don't need no press after Hurricane
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: him of all the third of Green's Points Home everything.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: You just destroyed us, sugar Land just Chicken was destroyed,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: sugar Land getting messed up, yeah, parts of Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: Do you know something I used to want to move
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: to sugar Land. I saw the big houses, man, that
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: the athletes had out there, great golf. That was one
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: point in time where I actually considered living in Houston.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: This is a nice Remember that, Steve, You remember that. Yes,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: of course I was actually considering living in Houst because
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: I've always liked the city of Houston. We had we
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: had a club in Houston. Yeah, man, yeah, yeah, I
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: loved it down there. Man. Nice back then, man, I
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: could go to the galleria. Yeah, people knew me, but
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: not at this level. That's worth movie I was. I
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: was famous back then too, mostly black. You can in
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: the shops town Town Boy shops Town Georgios. I called
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: it Gator Walk. Man. I went down there and Jay
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: I was in there. What you want, Jay said, Man,
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: look at him, just all opin that. I was just
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: buying jobs town Mall. One night in Houston at the
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: Arena Theater Pinky sup S. I was at that show
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: Dog I had on Gator that show we did demand
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: a Boys shown, Yeah, still there, pink it was. It
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: was I've never seen pink altogether on a man on
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: a man. Took a minute to find him, but I
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: found pink Gate as a shop, could not at the gallery,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: and I was you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Boys and girls. This is one more thing.
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys have heard this, but
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: we all are familiar with Papa John's pizza right well,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: Papa John's is blaming the NFL's national anthem protests for
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: their dip in pizza sales. CEO John Shot Yeah Snatter
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: criticized the league's leadership, and you know he says that
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: Roger Goodell is weak and all of that. He said
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: the issue should have been uh nipped in the bud.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: A year and a half ago, he supported Donald Trump
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: reportedly implied to his investors that the NFL commissioner should
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: have stopped the players from expressing their right to free speech.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: Papa John's has been an official NFL sponsor since two
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: thousand and ten, and now claims their stocks have dropped
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: this year. Well, Trump told his hateful but he's to
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: stop watching football. They have and now you well, now
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: did you say that the CEO of Papa Johns is
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: a Trump supporter? Okay, cool, now that he's come out
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: and made that statement, and you think, see, what you
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: can't do is support the Constitution for the second Amendment,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: but didn't forget the freedom of speech the first Amendment.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: So now he should have nipped this in the bud
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: a year and a half ago and made them players
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: get up off their knees. You could sell more pizza. Well,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: how about we on eating no more Papa john partner,
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: if you want to see the sales go down, because
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: listen to me. I fully support these young men's right
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: to protest that they feel it's their right to make
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: a statement. Now have they successfully in the White House
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: and on Fox and on some people's minds convince people
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: that them kneeling is disrespecting our country, our flag, and
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: our military. Yes, they have successfully spun that, But that's
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: not why they own they knee. They are on their
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: kneed for the injustice that's being portrayed against the people
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: and from these neighborhoods they from, and these young brothers.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: This is the only way of showing, hey man, we
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: ain't with this no more. We ain't with all of
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: our young brothers getting gunned down like this. We're sick
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: of the injustices and to keep asking us to be
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: patient about it. Frederick Douglas once said, who amongst us
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: feels that slavery would be right for them? So how
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: you want everybody to be patient? It's two thousand seventeen.
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: We're tired of getting shot and so that's their protest. Now,
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: like I said, have you all managed to conveniently flip
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: it and turn it into something else? Yes, you have.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: And is it bringing any more attention to the problem
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: that we have? No, I don't think it is anymore,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: because I think you all have successfully changed the narrative
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: and turned this kneeling into a complete negative. But now
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: the fact that you ain't selling pizza don't have a
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: damn thing to do with us. And see, if you
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: weren't so worried about profits, was worried about the lives
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: and the conditions of every American, as you should be,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: as the CEO or Papa Johns, who's selling plenty of
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: people pizza to black people, but as you, especially as
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: the President of United States, who have to govern so
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: many non whites and so many other whites who didn't
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: vote for you. So, but if you want to continue
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: to play to your base and say stuff like this
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: that's divisive and keep deflecting the stuff, didn't go ahead.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: But who gives a damn that Papa John's ain't selling
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: that much pizza no more? And if you wan't buddies
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: with Trump, you'd be selling more pizza because Dominoes ain't
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: complaining season season season running more commercial pizza pizza. They
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: ain't set a damn. A matter of fact, I want
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: to try, ye, who have you tried the bestest little
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: seasons they put all that pepper it's called the bestest.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: It's like all of this pepperoni that they put all kids. See,
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: I would try one of them to day get on
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: my training of coming on the show. Yeah, that goes
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: very well with poundcake pizza, that would be great. You said,
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: a mouthful Jay pizza delicious, A mouthful right there? How
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: about a hot food? Put it all on there? I
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: love it, call it Papa so I really could kill
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: I never did like Papa John's pizza Domino's Pizza Hut,
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: and never have like I can't believe you can soon
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: as it came out of his mouth, I was like, Oh,
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: they're cos your sales for real, abody to go down again?
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: And they are the official sponsor of the NFL. How
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: dare you say shack is black football players? But everybody
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: upset about everything else, but what the protest is really
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: about themselves? To go back up, you better make a
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: piece on the kneath your That's right, O man, Well
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: what have we learned today? Before we get out of here?
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: You got a V? Well, see, I don't really see
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: what you're jealous of. I don't see the V you
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: ain't seeing. It's a lot you can't see. You ain't
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: five eight you're gonna see if you was up runder
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: me looking up and it looks more like a w
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: seeing some movies. Shut up, you know what, you know what?
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: I'm working out with you next week. Just put that
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: on your calip I'm coming through, hey dog. You put
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: it on your little bit as county. And I'm telling
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: you right now you're going a little here up in
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: something you don't know nothing about, and I'm not I'll
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: be pulling the handle down for you to dream about.
