- 2:59Speaker 1: for you so much for doing it right. First of all,
- 3:01Speaker 1: thank you for calling my show. How you're doing my friend.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Let me let me get this out the way right now.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I am on your diet, Obie. I'm on your diet. Okay,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I've been working for you, man, I'm excited. This is
- 3:14Speaker 1: what happened. So you know when you when you and
- 3:16Speaker 1: Morris got booked for the show, because more it's gonna
- 3:18Speaker 1: call in on the next break and and and so
- 3:22Speaker 1: I couldn't wait. I couldn't wait for them to send
- 3:24Speaker 1: me the book. From there, I said, look, I went
- 3:26Speaker 1: to Amazon. That anybody listened to me, You just go
- 3:28Speaker 1: to Amazon. I downloaded on my candle and I started
- 3:32Speaker 1: it on Monday. I am six pounds lighter. My friend,
- 3:37Speaker 1: whoa wait, you love six pounds? Yes, sir, six pounds lighter.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Up to ten pound days come on, and I'm gonna
- 3:46Speaker 1: just tell you some I'm gonna just tell you something.
- 3:48Speaker 1: One of those days I had to try because I
- 3:50Speaker 1: live in Atlanta, I had to travel to l A
- 3:52Speaker 1: and did a turnaround. So I flew out that morning
- 3:55Speaker 1: and had to come back on the red eye. So
- 3:57Speaker 1: so I might have been seven for seven about that.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Didn't have that. I'm telling you, man, It diet working
- 4:04Speaker 1: from me, baby, I love it. I love it. I
- 4:07Speaker 1: love it, man. And the funny about it, man, it's
- 4:09Speaker 1: not the thing about the cut is not most diets
- 4:12Speaker 1: are restrictive and it's it's not sustainable. So we say, look,
- 4:17Speaker 1: you can still have your one slide to pizza, you
- 4:19Speaker 1: can still have your right chicken breath. It's about cheat.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It's about cheating the right way, you know what I mean,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and the cheat milks being no bigger than your hand.
- 4:27Speaker 1: It's like, it's because that's what I'm on. That's exactly right,
- 4:33Speaker 1: and never I'm just gonna tell you because I wanted
- 4:35Speaker 1: to just let everybody it's just the real deal. Rashan
- 4:38Speaker 1: McDonald's on this diet. I've had that. You know. I
- 4:41Speaker 1: went from three belf notches to four, so my waistline
- 4:45Speaker 1: in one week. Now, this is just one week, rahand,
- 4:49Speaker 1: You're not just saying that, right, you know if you
- 4:51Speaker 1: actually lost the candle. Dude, dude, I'm telling you the truth.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm telling you the truth. And here's the funny part
- 4:58Speaker 1: about it is that here's the funny part about because
- 5:00Speaker 1: I read the book, and the book is great because
- 5:02Speaker 1: they have testimonial real people in there. They show you
- 5:05Speaker 1: before and after pictures in the book, and I was
- 5:08Speaker 1: just going through and I kept I was looking at
- 5:10Speaker 1: some of these menus waivers Ranchero's. I went, your kidding
- 5:14Speaker 1: me buffalo wings? I said, you kidding me? Okay? And
- 5:18Speaker 1: so you know, you know, there wasn't no typical diet
- 5:21Speaker 1: book I was reading. I was it what the cod
- 5:23Speaker 1: just cheese? It? What the stuff I'm not gonna want
- 5:25Speaker 1: to eat? And so it's appay. So so so I
- 5:28Speaker 1: go to Sprouts, right, I go to Sprouts, and and
- 5:30Speaker 1: so I look at everything is proportioned, you know. So
- 5:34Speaker 1: I go in there. I got the menu because it's
- 5:36Speaker 1: an easy book to read, and I just started buying
- 5:39Speaker 1: stuff that I would normally buy based on the book,
- 5:41Speaker 1: the normally based on eat and I so I stacked
- 5:44Speaker 1: at my refrigerator. So I swear to you, I when
- 5:48Speaker 1: I started following the book, after I made all these purchases,
- 5:51Speaker 1: I have over, I have like what I thought would
- 5:54Speaker 1: be one week with food is now maybe three to
- 5:57Speaker 1: four weeks with food beautiful because because and I'm not hungry,
- 6:03Speaker 1: No I'm not. You know, from the you know, dry
- 6:05Speaker 1: nuts to putting up you know, a third cup of granola,
- 6:10Speaker 1: granola yoga on top, you know, now old school rashaw,
- 6:15Speaker 1: when have just pile that bowl up? You know what
- 6:17Speaker 1: I'm saying, and just throw that yoga up on top,
- 6:19Speaker 1: and I've been good, but I wouldn't have lost these poles.
- 6:22Speaker 1: The problem with our society is that our society wants
- 6:26Speaker 1: to blame carbs on weight gain and fat game, and
- 6:30Speaker 1: we're not. Carbs are your best friends. It's not your enemy,
- 6:33Speaker 1: it's your best friend. You need carbs to be at
- 6:35Speaker 1: a function from day to day a lot of times.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You know, weight gain versus weight loss truly is about
- 6:42Speaker 1: bad calories, horrible calories, and you're consuming too many calories.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You can, I mean with the cut, you can literally
- 6:48Speaker 1: have carves. With every million, you're still gonna lose weight. Okay,
- 6:51Speaker 1: So carves is never It is not your enemy, it's
- 6:54Speaker 1: your friends. Without It's like the analogy exist. It's like
- 6:57Speaker 1: trying to drive a car without gas. That's how you
- 7:00Speaker 1: when you take carves out of your system, that's what happens.
- 7:02Speaker 1: You can't function. You wouldn't do your radio show without it.
- 7:05Speaker 1: So you need it. So because I'm on the phone
- 7:08Speaker 1: with Obie ABADQUI got it right there, yes, and we
- 7:14Speaker 1: were discussing the book he Cars author with mar chest Nut.
- 7:18Speaker 1: It's called The Cut. You know, losing ten pounds in
- 7:20Speaker 1: ten days and getting that sculptured body. Look, you know,
- 7:24Speaker 1: sculptured body. Look, that's what top I see right now
- 7:27Speaker 1: after after my six pounds, I could I could be
- 7:29Speaker 1: in a mirror at a certain angle not obi good.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You know I got that. I got that look good
- 7:34Speaker 1: angle in that mirror right now. Well, you know what,
- 7:37Speaker 1: Malcolm lee to the best man, we want you to
- 7:42Speaker 1: get that v that he's like, man's four years of
- 7:45Speaker 1: that supposed to happen. You know. The beauty of it
- 7:48Speaker 1: is that you know that this is true testimonial because
- 7:51Speaker 1: of the fact that here's a deal man on that cheat.
- 7:53Speaker 1: It's like he said, it's an eight twenty on the
- 7:56Speaker 1: cheat you can get doughnuts at Altas fried chicken ice cream.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And it's not about a cheat day. It's not about
- 8:05Speaker 1: a cheat weekend. That's why I like about it, because
- 8:08Speaker 1: you're telling me, okay, don't don't, don't, don't, don't go
- 8:11Speaker 1: crazy on the day. This is part of the diet.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And the book is such an easy read. And if
- 8:15Speaker 1: you don't know how to make something, it has too
- 8:18Speaker 1: men you telling you how to make granola, how to
- 8:21Speaker 1: make the way with Harold's how to make the car,
- 8:23Speaker 1: the the car, the uh tacos. That is why I
- 8:28Speaker 1: like the book. Man, and I just went on Amazon.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Tell the people, I just went on Amazon. It's the
- 8:32Speaker 1: number one book when it came out with the number
- 8:34Speaker 1: one book on Amazon, the number one diet book, and
- 8:36Speaker 1: it's called The Cut. Both he and marsh Chester on
- 8:40Speaker 1: the cover. You gotta get this book. I'm living proof.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm a witness that look. I tried it. I didn't.
- 8:46Speaker 1: It didn't change my even travel to l A on
- 8:48Speaker 1: the on the one day turn around. I'm talking. Abo's
- 8:50Speaker 1: a five and a half hour flight that I did
- 8:52Speaker 1: in the you know what I'm saying. I went five
- 8:56Speaker 1: I went five and a half in the morning and
- 8:57Speaker 1: came back that night. I'm just letting you know. It
- 8:59Speaker 1: did not change my lifestyle, even though I didn't enjoy
- 9:02Speaker 1: the flight, but I still was healthy. I did everything
- 9:05Speaker 1: I needed to do. It came back and I'm good. Dude.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm on the morning show with you today talking have
- 9:11Speaker 1: you been exercising as well? And just you know something
- 9:14Speaker 1: we should to bring that up because in the book.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I love the book because it shows you a lot
- 9:19Speaker 1: of exercise you can do without weights. Just just in
- 9:24Speaker 1: the gym, which is really important because that's the reason
- 9:27Speaker 1: I'm the reason I'm a champion. This book is this Okay,
- 9:31Speaker 1: he showed me a menu. I just went in the
- 9:32Speaker 1: grocery store and just started buying what I normally eat. Okay.
- 9:36Speaker 1: And the thing about it is that it's really smart
- 9:38Speaker 1: because a lot of books are scared you away with
- 9:40Speaker 1: win things. And when I when I read that buffalo
- 9:44Speaker 1: wing thing, I went buffalo wings. But just think about it.
- 9:46Speaker 1: They'll tell you five buffalo wings who can't count? Now
- 9:50Speaker 1: you you know what I'm saying, can't count? Where you
- 9:55Speaker 1: go six ounces or three ounces that are like, oh
- 9:58Speaker 1: my god, all that I don't have a scale, but
- 10:01Speaker 1: you can't count five chicken week right without it? That
- 10:05Speaker 1: we this book is really about. It's about working with
- 10:08Speaker 1: everyday real people. We had a guy dropped a hundred
- 10:10Speaker 1: seventeen pounds in one year, Mike Copper from the book.
- 10:14Speaker 1: We had a guy named Rome Douglas, an x NFL player,
- 10:16Speaker 1: who lost eighty pounds. We had a female who lost
- 10:19Speaker 1: twenty eight pounds in twelve weeks, thirty pounds in twelve weeks.
- 10:23Speaker 1: So it works, and it's it's really simple. It's focusing
- 10:26Speaker 1: on eating whole foods, and you can't eat everything you want.
- 10:29Speaker 1: You just have to do it within moderation. That's all
- 10:32Speaker 1: it is. Because anything, if you do anything extreme, exercising, eating, dieting,
- 10:38Speaker 1: it's not sustainable. You want to be able to enjoy life.
- 10:42Speaker 1: You don't want to be able to be like, oh
- 10:43Speaker 1: my god, not another pull up, not another push Oh man,
- 10:47Speaker 1: you don't need to work out seven days a week.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You don't need to eat healthy seven days a week.
- 10:51Speaker 1: You can still have moderation. I want to throw this
- 10:54Speaker 1: out there. Just started my new UH supplement line called
- 10:57Speaker 1: obi Strong. Just take the supplements as well too. That's
- 11:00Speaker 1: amazing appetite suppressing little obi strong dot com. That is phenomenal,
- 11:05Speaker 1: along with the cut the book. So the supplements are
- 11:08Speaker 1: meant to assist you. Along with I writing exercise noby
- 11:11Speaker 1: strong dot com a new supper on that line. My man,
- 11:14Speaker 1: I want to tell you, I want to bring you
- 11:15Speaker 1: back on the show next month if you have time
- 11:17Speaker 1: and your schedule, because I want to talk about you know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: the TV hosting, your whole schedule and everything. But I
- 11:21Speaker 1: wanted to give a shout out to you and Morris,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and Morris is coming up in the next break about
- 11:26Speaker 1: this book and how it's changing my life. You know,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and I know Steven A. Samir from ESPN told me
- 11:30Speaker 1: get your shout out because he's he has a testimony
- 11:34Speaker 1: on the back of the book. So so as soon
- 11:35Speaker 1: as I saw that, I called him. He said, O
- 11:37Speaker 1: be on your show, give me a shout out as
- 11:38Speaker 1: my boy. If I was in l A, he'd be
- 11:40Speaker 1: working me out. So it's a cross board man as

- 14:36Speaker 1: are you doing that, sir? I'm good. I thank you
- 14:39Speaker 1: for calling my show. First of all, Ianna, let everybody
- 14:41Speaker 1: know the world know that I am getting sculptured, sculptured

- 14:50Speaker 1: gotta be honest with you, because see what happened was
- 14:52Speaker 1: when you get when when you got booked on the show.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I couldn't wait till they sent me the book, okay,
- 14:58Speaker 1: And I've been searching more's different age to lose weight
- 15:01Speaker 1: and feel comfortable and stay consistent. And so I immediately
- 15:04Speaker 1: went on Amazon dot com. Real easy, We're on Amazon
- 15:07Speaker 1: dot com and I downloaded to my kindle and I
- 15:10Speaker 1: just loved it. Man, I'm on the plan and I
- 15:16Speaker 1: and I and I just wanted and I wanted to
- 15:17Speaker 1: be honest with everybody to say, okay, I started to die.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Uh the six days, seven days ago, as of this morning,
- 15:25Speaker 1: have lost six pounds stepped on that scale as an
- 15:29Speaker 1: only six pounds. That's not a that's not a cheat. Uh.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You know, like you said, the book, the title of
- 15:35Speaker 1: the book is you know, the cut loose up the
- 15:38Speaker 1: ten pounds and ten days and sculpt your body. And
- 15:41Speaker 1: I want to tell you. In the middle of that,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I had to travel from Atlanta to to l a
- 15:46Speaker 1: round tripped in one day, and they kind of threw
- 15:49Speaker 1: me off, you know, because when you travel, you know,
- 15:53Speaker 1: you just out there. You know, all bits are off.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So so I would probably be accurately my seven for seven,
- 16:02Speaker 1: uh huh. But that travel day and so to say
- 16:05Speaker 1: that I'm on my I'm like six pounds. I stepped
- 16:07Speaker 1: on the scale today and I'm happy, man, I'm happy, happy, happy,
- 16:11Speaker 1: And I just wanted to get that testimonial out before
- 16:14Speaker 1: we got scared. I appreciate that. I appreciate it. So
- 16:18Speaker 1: tell me. Tell me about the book of the book,
- 16:20Speaker 1: tell me about the Obie and how it all got started,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and all got started when um I had to get
- 16:26Speaker 1: ready for the Best Man and I was I wasn't.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I was, you know, probably my heaviest weight at that
- 16:30Speaker 1: time because I was filming I was feeling the show
- 16:33Speaker 1: The Nurse Jackie. In New York. It was really really cold.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I literally would not walk outside my department that I
- 16:40Speaker 1: was staying in New York to walk across the street
- 16:42Speaker 1: to go to the gym. That's how cold it was.
- 16:44Speaker 1: And then Michael Lee called miss Hay, you know, we're
- 16:46Speaker 1: about to do The Best Man. People to stake and
- 16:51Speaker 1: I was like, oh, So then I was actually on
- 16:53Speaker 1: a conference call with someone and she was a fitness
- 16:56Speaker 1: she was a fitness person, and she was pitching us
- 16:58Speaker 1: an idea about something else. And I went to her
- 17:01Speaker 1: website and I saw a picture of Obie. Let's say,
- 17:04Speaker 1: who just capt ready? Because and she said that, you know,
- 17:07Speaker 1: she gave me the information and and and I just
- 17:10Speaker 1: started working out together and and all the things that
- 17:14Speaker 1: that we implemented, and the workout getting ready for The
- 17:17Speaker 1: Best Man we put in the book. And so then
- 17:20Speaker 1: we came time to do the press tour for The
- 17:22Speaker 1: Best Man, everyone kept throwing the picture with me with
- 17:25Speaker 1: my shirt off, and how did you get in touch
- 17:27Speaker 1: with shape? So we're like, hey, let's just put this
- 17:29Speaker 1: in the book and and and and give it to
- 17:32Speaker 1: the people. And that's what we did with the cut.
- 17:34Speaker 1: So the the goal was just for you just get
- 17:36Speaker 1: in shape for the movie. That was the goal. Let
- 17:38Speaker 1: me just go throw out some gowns here about this.
- 17:40Speaker 1: When you started, Mars was two hundred and twenty pounds.
- 17:44Speaker 1: That's right and scaled down scale down two hundred and
- 17:47Speaker 1: eighty seven pounds in just twelve weeks. Yeah, just twelve weeks.
- 17:51Speaker 1: So so so the reason I'm really excited about this because,
- 17:55Speaker 1: like I told you guys at the beginning of the interview,
- 17:57Speaker 1: I'm on it. And when I read the book, this
- 18:00Speaker 1: was this one got me was that the menused though Mars,
- 18:04Speaker 1: the menus waving Francho's right right right, you know, tacos
- 18:11Speaker 1: right right, right, right, right right, you know, regular food,
- 18:14Speaker 1: and that really trips people out, you know, And so
- 18:17Speaker 1: so so I'm just letting everybody know, and I'm not
- 18:19Speaker 1: I don't want to jump so far that because this
- 18:21Speaker 1: is your book. I'm just an excited participant. Marris's appreciated
- 18:26Speaker 1: because I was to the same thing. You know, your
- 18:30Speaker 1: your participant. I was a participant to because everything that
- 18:32Speaker 1: we did to get me down and ready for the
- 18:34Speaker 1: movie is in the book. And the thing about it
- 18:38Speaker 1: is that they're they're pictures of just regular people who's
- 18:42Speaker 1: showing you that it actually does happen. And I did that.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I just I'm just amazed what I hear, and I
- 18:48Speaker 1: and I and I see and I look at myself.
- 18:51Speaker 1: No I'm not ready to get in the book now.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I'm not gonna take my shirt off. Not Marris, I'm
- 18:54Speaker 1: not gonna do that. We give We'll give you another months.
- 18:56Speaker 1: We'll give you another month. Thank you very much, thank
- 18:58Speaker 1: you very much. Exactly. So, when when you when you
- 19:01Speaker 1: when your people talk to you and you're you're you're
- 19:03Speaker 1: walking testimonial and that the cut, you know, losing ten
- 19:08Speaker 1: pounds in ten days, there's always naysayers, how do you
- 19:11Speaker 1: how do you get around that to saying, well, you
- 19:13Speaker 1: know you had a trainer, you know, more like you
- 19:15Speaker 1: had a trainer. Well, I'm a big proponent of trainers
- 19:19Speaker 1: because just just the unfortunate reality of life is that
- 19:23Speaker 1: sometimes people push us harder than we can just push ourselves,
- 19:25Speaker 1: especially when you get into a gym. You know, you
- 19:27Speaker 1: get into a gym and you do just enough for
- 19:29Speaker 1: you think you can't go anymore than you kind of stop,
- 19:31Speaker 1: but the trainer kind of pushes you over the top.
- 19:33Speaker 1: So I'm a big proponent of trainers. Um And in
- 19:36Speaker 1: terms of the book, um and and people, all the naysayers.
- 19:40Speaker 1: It's with anybody and with anything, you have to be
- 19:44Speaker 1: in the right frame of mind to really want to
- 19:47Speaker 1: do it, to really want to make a change. Um.
- 19:49Speaker 1: There are a lot of people that kind of just
- 19:51Speaker 1: sit back and say, oh, well, um, they didn't do this,
- 19:53Speaker 1: this is easy or whatever. But that's because sometimes they're
- 19:56Speaker 1: not in the right from the mind to make a
- 19:58Speaker 1: change that they want in their life. I've I'm a
- 20:00Speaker 1: person believe that anybody can do whatever they want if
- 20:03Speaker 1: they put their mind to it. And none of that
- 20:05Speaker 1: sounds like a cliche, um, but it is really true.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So when people really make up their minds now you
- 20:11Speaker 1: know what, I'm gonna get this weight off of me,
- 20:13Speaker 1: They'll do it. Here's the deal. I'm on the phone
- 20:15Speaker 1: with Morrise Chestnut. He's promoting the book. Very popular book.
- 20:18Speaker 1: It was number one on Amazon, the Amazon dot com
- 20:21Speaker 1: and the diet genre. You know. The name of the
- 20:23Speaker 1: book is The Cut, Lose up to ten piles in
- 20:25Speaker 1: ten days and sculpture your best body. And I hoppled
- 20:29Speaker 1: out earlier about the twenty rule. And let me explain
- 20:31Speaker 1: to people what that is. Is even healthy for eight
- 20:34Speaker 1: percent of the time and having cheap meals twenty percent
- 20:37Speaker 1: of the time, and you can manage your weight and
- 20:39Speaker 1: health following the rule. This rule here that's the diet
- 20:42Speaker 1: that I'm on right now, and I'm loving it. Like
- 20:44Speaker 1: I told her earlier, you know, can you tell us
- 20:46Speaker 1: some of the meals when it also what does that
- 20:48Speaker 1: cheap time actually mean? Okay, so we have a lot
- 20:51Speaker 1: of different there's a lot of different meals in the
- 20:54Speaker 1: book to we're recipes and everything. Everyone can make the Okay.
- 20:57Speaker 1: So the one thing with the particular diet is you
- 21:00Speaker 1: don't everyone you know, thinks that they have to just
- 21:02Speaker 1: kill themselves and eat and eat things that takes like
- 21:05Speaker 1: cardboard for the rest of their life proper. It is
- 21:08Speaker 1: because you know, there's moderation. There's moderation with everything. So
- 21:14Speaker 1: when our book, if you eat healthy eight of the time,
- 21:19Speaker 1: and you can have to cheat meals, not cheap days,
- 21:22Speaker 1: not cheap weekend, to cheat meals throughout because you know,
- 21:26Speaker 1: we still wanna, you know, we want to do what
- 21:28Speaker 1: we do and still enjoy life, still enjoy the pleasures
- 21:31Speaker 1: extent and um that time. And let let me tell
- 21:34Speaker 1: you what cheap meals are. Donuts at alas, fried chicken,
- 21:39Speaker 1: ice cream. Again, I told y'all, I'm on this diet.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I've lost six pounds, I've eaten this and and and
- 21:46Speaker 1: just letting you know that I'm a guy telling you
- 21:49Speaker 1: I love to eat. I got on my phone Krispie
- 21:51Speaker 1: cree a Christoe cream app. Okay, so you're looking at
- 21:55Speaker 1: the guy to eat stone nuts for real. And so
- 21:57Speaker 1: when I when I got when I saw this, and
- 21:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna just say you another testimonial, because I'm a
- 22:02Speaker 1: testimonial for this book The Cut, you know, lose up
- 22:05Speaker 1: to ten pounds in ten days and SCULPTU your body.
- 22:07Speaker 1: When I went shopping when I got the book, you know,
- 22:10Speaker 1: when I read it, then I went through the recipes,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I went on in the shop where I thought I
- 22:14Speaker 1: would normally eat, and so I came back, I went
- 22:17Speaker 1: to the score called the sprouts with the sprouts and
- 22:20Speaker 1: then uh, and I put everything in the refrigerator. I
- 22:23Speaker 1: over balked because you said a keyword moderation. And I
- 22:29Speaker 1: have actually probably three to four weeks of food in
- 22:32Speaker 1: my refrigerator based on what I bought based on you
- 22:36Speaker 1: telling me, Rashan, you've been eating too much. You can
- 22:39Speaker 1: still have a healthy, good life, lose weights, SCULPTU your body.
- 22:42Speaker 1: If you follow the book, you're now saving me money. Yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 1: that's another thing for people say everything in moderation. Also,
- 22:51Speaker 1: it's about of portion sizes. You say, okay, well I
- 22:53Speaker 1: may have a cheap meal and they eat a whole pizza.
- 22:56Speaker 1: You should do. You should moderate your portion sizes route
- 23:00Speaker 1: the course of the diet, and pretty soon your stomach
- 23:02Speaker 1: of shrinking. You won't want to, you know, sit down
- 23:05Speaker 1: and and and gorge out on the whole pizza. At
- 23:07Speaker 1: the point, something's gonna shrink and you're gonna want to
- 23:10Speaker 1: eat instead of eating five pieces that used to get
- 23:12Speaker 1: your fool. Now it's gonna be two and a half
- 23:14Speaker 1: or maybe in just two. So that's a large part.
- 23:17Speaker 1: And it's gonna take Listen, we have never proclaimed that
- 23:21Speaker 1: it's easy, because everything worth happening is gonna take some work,
- 23:25Speaker 1: is gonna take some dedication. But if you just have
- 23:28Speaker 1: to discipline like yourself and follow everything that's in the book,
- 23:32Speaker 1: you will lose weight. And I'll tell you one thing.
- 23:35Speaker 1: My last testimonial built Luke went I built from from
- 23:39Speaker 1: three to four. I'm testified for you, Mars, I'm testified
- 23:43Speaker 1: for your brother. Appreciate, we appreciate you know that definitely happens.
- 23:46Speaker 1: You gotta get this book, y'all. It's called the cut,
- 23:48Speaker 1: lose up to ten piles in ten days and sculpe
- 23:51Speaker 1: your body, your best body. I'm on the phone, thank
- 23:53Speaker 1: you for calling in in Mars. I know what, brother,
- 23:56Speaker 1: but you can see my excited me. And I'm gonna
- 23:58Speaker 1: have Obi on the phone today. He's gonna give this
- 24:00Speaker 1: testimony or talk about the relationship. But Man, I love
- 24:03Speaker 1: you as a person. You've always been kind to people.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I've seen your fans out in the streets. Man, and
- 24:09Speaker 1: keep winning and stay on TV man, keep being the stop.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, congratulation all you're doing. Man, love
- 24:15Speaker 1: your brother and I appreciate you. Okay, thank you very much.

- 25:39Speaker 1: He's a regular on my show I Want to Say
- 25:40Speaker 1: About Work regular twin seventeen, made two appearances on my
- 25:43Speaker 1: radio show Money Making Conversation and I Heard Radio podcast.
- 25:47Speaker 1: He's the founder and chief connecting officer y Be Connects, LLC,
- 25:51Speaker 1: which is based in Richmond, Virginia. Please welcome to Money
- 25:54Speaker 1: Making Conversation. Robert T. Y b Young official handshake to you. Yes, sir, appreciate, appreciate,
- 26:01Speaker 1: appreciate you having me on your show. So how's everything
- 26:03Speaker 1: going with you? Really really good? Like I said, first
- 26:06Speaker 1: time in the studio. So what brings you to town? Well?
- 26:08Speaker 1: I was here. I'm here for speaker certification training with
- 26:11Speaker 1: Dr Eric Thomas. He has a program called Game Changers,
- 26:14Speaker 1: which basically as a certification that allows us to become
- 26:17Speaker 1: the next e t s. So he's training us and
- 26:20Speaker 1: him and a host of coaches UH given given to
- 26:23Speaker 1: us and pouring into us so that we can become
- 26:25Speaker 1: the best speakers that we can be. Okay, cool. So
- 26:28Speaker 1: you in town and we found out about you, say, hey,
- 26:31Speaker 1: won't you just stay in town a little bit longer
- 26:32Speaker 1: and let's come see us live and stue you. But
- 26:34Speaker 1: when I when our relationship started, our first time I
- 26:37Speaker 1: gave it to you was LinkedIn Expert because I just
- 26:40Speaker 1: came on. I just started using LinkedIn because everybody knows
- 26:42Speaker 1: about Twitter, you know, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram. I have three
- 26:48Speaker 1: accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and then but LinkedIn
- 26:52Speaker 1: and May of last year I discovered it. I always
- 26:55Speaker 1: had my staff had had given me account, but I
- 26:57Speaker 1: never used it, Why should I be using that? So
- 27:00Speaker 1: you should be using it for three reasons, and I
- 27:03Speaker 1: call it the three abilities Visibility, credibility, and profitability and start. So,
- 27:10Speaker 1: if you're in business and even in yourself in terms
- 27:12Speaker 1: of radio show, if no one knows you exist, they
- 27:15Speaker 1: won't listen to you. If you're if you're looking to
- 27:17Speaker 1: attract new clients, if they don't know you exist, they
- 27:20Speaker 1: can't pay you. And so the key for us as entrepreneurs,
- 27:23Speaker 1: even as those who are job seekers, we need to
- 27:25Speaker 1: be visible so that we can attract our ideal client
- 27:29Speaker 1: that will allow us to operate in our gifts. So
- 27:31Speaker 1: LinkedIn allows us to do that. So it was it's
- 27:33Speaker 1: really interesting. So you're telling me LinkedIn is more of
- 27:36Speaker 1: a career account. It's well, it started out as a
- 27:38Speaker 1: career building website, so it allowed for job seekers to
- 27:42Speaker 1: connect with recruiters, and then it just exploded into a
- 27:45Speaker 1: marketplace and so as a result, more and more people
- 27:48Speaker 1: start to use it to do business, to exchange ideas
- 27:51Speaker 1: and to obtain employment. Great now, now when the person
- 27:56Speaker 1: who's a first time user, you know two LinkedIn, what
- 27:59Speaker 1: what what were the amateur steps? You say, Well, your lamp.
- 28:02Speaker 1: What should they do well? The goal is to become
- 28:04Speaker 1: an all Star, So to have an all Star LinkedIn profile,
- 28:07Speaker 1: how you get becoming The way to do that is
- 28:09Speaker 1: you must it. A LinkedIn provides you with the steps
- 28:12Speaker 1: to do that. But I always teach my clients that
- 28:14Speaker 1: you want to first make sure you have a professional
- 28:16Speaker 1: head shot because your head shot is like your calling card,
- 28:20Speaker 1: because that's the difference in You're not gonna be posting
- 28:22Speaker 1: no no logos of your fraternity baby pictures or flowers
- 28:28Speaker 1: or your food or anything like that unless it's you.
- 28:31Speaker 1: You got something, absolutely, but but you want to. But
- 28:35Speaker 1: you want to it's your It's about you. Yeah, it's
- 28:37Speaker 1: about you. It's about your personal brand. And I think
- 28:39Speaker 1: everybody has to understand it. They are a brand. I
- 28:41Speaker 1: don't care if you are a doctor, if you're a lawyer,
- 28:44Speaker 1: if you're Indian chief. You have a brand. And your
- 28:46Speaker 1: brand is what's going to attract people who need your
- 28:49Speaker 1: product or service. And so you're having your professional profile
- 28:52Speaker 1: picture is important. The second thing is having a headline
- 28:55Speaker 1: that allows for you to attract your ideal client. Most
- 28:58Speaker 1: people will put host that radio station right and and
- 29:02Speaker 1: they think that that's okay, But if your goal is
- 29:04Speaker 1: to attract a specific target, you want to make sure
- 29:07Speaker 1: you put a value statement that allows for the people
- 29:11Speaker 1: you want to work with to see what you bring
- 29:13Speaker 1: to the table, what result you bring in. So, if
- 29:15Speaker 1: you look at my LinkedIn profile, you'll see LinkedIn locksmith
- 29:19Speaker 1: and I talk about how I help solopreneurs, sales professionals,
- 29:22Speaker 1: and students to make more money with LinkedIn. So if
- 29:26Speaker 1: somebody looks at that, then I say, huh, I need
- 29:28Speaker 1: to connect with this guy. And that's the first hook
- 29:31Speaker 1: that you want to be able to put out there
- 29:32Speaker 1: for people to connect with you. Okay. With with that
- 29:35Speaker 1: being said, now you're LinkedIn guy, Okay, people come around.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I've been you know, I've grown from I think I'm
- 29:42Speaker 1: liking about he says, may you know, and I've noticed
- 29:47Speaker 1: that I'm starting to get a certain type of people
- 29:50Speaker 1: that you know, people in the entertainment industry. So so
- 29:54Speaker 1: my so my brand people are associating me with that
- 29:58Speaker 1: and they're joining me me to be connected. That's the key,
- 30:02Speaker 1: that's the key. But but to go further than that,
- 30:04Speaker 1: because we don't want to just connect with everybody, right,
- 30:07Speaker 1: we want to vet everyone because well, So what I
- 30:10Speaker 1: do is that that's the key word on social media.
- 30:14Speaker 1: You just won't like people follows, People want likes and
- 30:17Speaker 1: followers and and and as my good friend Josh Hatch says,
- 30:20Speaker 1: you can't take likes to the bank, right, you can't
- 30:23Speaker 1: take likes to the bank, But but you can convert
- 30:25Speaker 1: likes into currency. And so the key is to start
- 30:29Speaker 1: off on the right foot. So when someone sends you
- 30:31Speaker 1: an invitation to connect, you want to make sure you
- 30:33Speaker 1: find out why, why do you want to connect? Like
- 30:36Speaker 1: what's your purpose? Because if you don't have a mutual
- 30:39Speaker 1: benefit for us to be able to work together, then
- 30:41Speaker 1: what's the purpose of us connecting? Are you a lurker?
- 30:44Speaker 1: Are you a learner? Or are you a leader? Like?
- 30:47Speaker 1: Which which one are you? So I think it's important
- 30:49Speaker 1: for people to understand the process of connecting with people,
- 30:52Speaker 1: not just on LinkedIn, but on social media period because
- 30:54Speaker 1: if we're here to be social, are we here to
- 30:57Speaker 1: help each other or you're just trying to look at
- 30:58Speaker 1: my stuff that I'm posting on social ride right, Right?
- 31:02Speaker 1: It's really interesting because you know, whenever I see everyone's
- 31:05Speaker 1: where I see a little bathing stup picture just LinkedIn?
- 31:09Speaker 1: You know what's going on here, you know, because LinkedIn
- 31:12Speaker 1: has a certain maturity. Yeah, it does. It has a
- 31:14Speaker 1: culture and and and I was just talking about this
- 31:16Speaker 1: with a colleague, amand and that. You know, people post
- 31:19Speaker 1: things that may be inappropriate. The community of LinkedIn will
- 31:22Speaker 1: check that. Let's say, is this Facebook or is this LinkedIn?
- 31:26Speaker 1: And people will either change it or deleted. But there's
- 31:30Speaker 1: a culture on LinkedIn because it was established for business
- 31:33Speaker 1: and that's what sets linked In apart from which is
- 31:35Speaker 1: a good transition, because why be connects? That's your business? Okay,
- 31:40Speaker 1: what is that? So I'm a strategic consultant if anything.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I actually just this weekend had the realization that I'm
- 31:45Speaker 1: a sales coach. I was running away from that what
- 31:48Speaker 1: you mean when you said your sales. So I recognize
- 31:50Speaker 1: that there are people out there who hate cold calling
- 31:53Speaker 1: and they struggle with selling me. And I love those people.
- 31:56Speaker 1: As a matter of fact. I love those people because
- 31:58Speaker 1: what I want them to understand is that what people
- 32:00Speaker 1: think that they're doing when they're selling is not really
- 32:02Speaker 1: selling their marketing. If all I'm doing is talking to
- 32:06Speaker 1: you to try to get you to buy, I'm not selling.
- 32:08Speaker 1: I'm marketing. The sales process doesn't begin until the client
- 32:12Speaker 1: asked the question. So we can't if we don't get
- 32:15Speaker 1: the person to get a word in, we hadn't started
- 32:18Speaker 1: the sales process. So think about it. If you go
- 32:20Speaker 1: to a fast food restaurant, you walk in the door,
- 32:23Speaker 1: what's the first thing that they say to you. Welcome
- 32:24Speaker 1: to our restaurant. Let me help you check for like
- 32:27Speaker 1: favorite favorite spot. That's my favorite, they asked you. They
- 32:31Speaker 1: start the process by asking you questions, right, and now
- 32:34Speaker 1: they already know that because you're in the restaurant, it's
- 32:38Speaker 1: a ninety nine point nine percent chance that you're gonna
- 32:41Speaker 1: buy something. Why because you're in the building, they don't say, well,
- 32:44Speaker 1: come on in. No, they've already done the marketing that
- 32:46Speaker 1: they needed to do. The sales process begins as soon
- 32:50Speaker 1: as you step into the restaurant. And I think that's
- 32:51Speaker 1: important what you're saying about selling, you know, because I
- 32:55Speaker 1: always tell my staff. I tell people that because of
- 32:58Speaker 1: our media as a marketing branding company that I own,
- 33:02Speaker 1: is that you know you you don't see you know
- 33:05Speaker 1: forward advertising. Every once in a while, you don't see IBM,
- 33:09Speaker 1: a Sony or Apple or Google. I even saw LinkedIn
- 33:13Speaker 1: commercial last night which was said, wow, I've never saw.
- 33:15Speaker 1: I've never seen the purpose of advertising is an increase
- 33:19Speaker 1: your visibility. So we talked about the three abilities, right,
- 33:21Speaker 1: So you want to increase your visibility, you want to
- 33:23Speaker 1: increase your reach. One of the best ways that I
- 33:25Speaker 1: do it, and this is how I build my business,
- 33:28Speaker 1: is through referral marketing. So as you build relationships with
- 33:31Speaker 1: people and you you build your brand, you impact people,
- 33:34Speaker 1: people are gonna then open up their network to you
- 33:37Speaker 1: as a referral. I'm on this show as a result
- 33:41Speaker 1: of a referral, right. And so if you operate in
- 33:44Speaker 1: a referral marketing mindset, you're really a magnet because you
- 33:48Speaker 1: start to attract the people that you want to work with.
- 33:51Speaker 1: First's chasing after everybody just to get a paycheck. That's important,
- 33:55Speaker 1: It's extremely important. And then so for my sales perspective,
- 33:58Speaker 1: you recognize that I'm never least selling. I'm doing three things.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I'm communicating, I'm leveraging my leadership skills, and I'm building relationships.
- 34:07Speaker 1: And so if I understand how to do those three
- 34:09Speaker 1: things very well, then selling is is a piece of
- 34:13Speaker 1: cake because I'm giving people what they want, So it
- 34:16Speaker 1: starts with identifying what people want through communication. If I
- 34:20Speaker 1: ask you the right questions with Sean and you say,
- 34:22Speaker 1: you tell me what you want and I can help
- 34:24Speaker 1: you get what you want, we now get to go
- 34:26Speaker 1: to step two. I start showing my leadership skills. So
- 34:29Speaker 1: what's leadership. It's being accountable, is being on time, is
- 34:35Speaker 1: following through and what you say you're gonna do. That
- 34:37Speaker 1: builds trust. And then the networking part comes where we
- 34:40Speaker 1: build relationships where if I'm able to impact you, then
- 34:43Speaker 1: you're gonna promote me to your network without me even
- 34:47Speaker 1: asking you to do so. Like like I'm an All
- 34:49Speaker 1: Star and LinkedIn, I come to all the stars. Uh
- 34:53Speaker 1: people who follow me, connect with me, connect with me.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Now when I post, you know it all tell me
- 35:00Speaker 1: what city is most popular with my view, which I
- 35:03Speaker 1: think it's really cool. And it also tell you just
- 35:06Speaker 1: anybody who's not familiar with LinkedIn. That's why he's saying
- 35:09Speaker 1: from a career or business standpoint, you have to be
- 35:13Speaker 1: associated with it because you find out like a lot
- 35:15Speaker 1: of times I see that our Heart radio, or I
- 35:17Speaker 1: see I see uh NBC, I see Walmart, I'll see
- 35:22Speaker 1: all these people who are tied to these different businesses
- 35:25Speaker 1: who are looking at my brain, which excites me because
- 35:28Speaker 1: guess what I want endorsement, I won't sponsorship. So I
- 35:31Speaker 1: want that type of visibility and the key to that.
- 35:34Speaker 1: So if you find that people are looking at your
- 35:36Speaker 1: profile they wanted to connect, you want to communicate with them.
- 35:40Speaker 1: You want to ask them what prompted you to follow
- 35:42Speaker 1: my page? I've never done that, and that, and that's
- 35:44Speaker 1: that's going to be clutched for you. So if your
- 35:46Speaker 1: goal is to get sponsorships, if you're going to get advertisers,
- 35:49Speaker 1: if these people are looking at you, they're actually waiting
- 35:51Speaker 1: for you to have a conversation with them their window shopping. Okay,
- 35:54Speaker 1: and so what what what do you do when somebody
- 35:56Speaker 1: that walks into a boutique shop? You say, how can
- 35:59Speaker 1: I help you? You don't just you don't. Just really
- 36:01Speaker 1: different from from regular social media because now you're saying, okay,
- 36:06Speaker 1: just going through the whole world that we're talking about
- 36:08Speaker 1: in LinkedIn. So because I'm not trying to get I'm
- 36:11Speaker 1: not trying to give a free lesson, why be connect
- 36:13Speaker 1: on the air? Okay, you got to go and contact
- 36:15Speaker 1: this gentleman. He's very talented. The third time on my
- 36:17Speaker 1: show Money Making Conversations talking to Robert T. Young Blood
- 36:21Speaker 1: why be connects one of the most talented individuals in
- 36:24Speaker 1: the in the in the game when it comes to LinkedIn,
- 36:27Speaker 1: which I think is that the reason that this show
- 36:29Speaker 1: is about the entrepreneurship, that's about careers, and that's I
- 36:32Speaker 1: feel it's important that I have this relationship with you.
- 36:35Speaker 1: When you come on, you're telling people how they can
- 36:37Speaker 1: address themselves. This is the new uh, you know, won't
- 36:40Speaker 1: ask it's digital. It's digital. So everything is digital now.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I was just talking to another colleague just yesterday. He said,
- 36:46Speaker 1: the people in the financial services arena, if they're not digital,
- 36:49Speaker 1: they're getting left behind. You're trying to do things the
- 36:52Speaker 1: old way. You're gonna get left behind. And so now
- 36:54Speaker 1: you talk about dealing with millennials, and then even with
- 36:56Speaker 1: gen Z coming up, they're digital. You can't expect to
- 37:00Speaker 1: do any business with them unless you're Unless you're digital,
- 37:02Speaker 1: Unless you have a digital footprint or digital fingerprint, people
- 37:06Speaker 1: will google you. Now, Rashan, if I say, well, listen,
- 37:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk to ra Sean McDonald said, who's that
- 37:10Speaker 1: They're gonna google you to check your and This is
- 37:13Speaker 1: the other ability, your credibility, right, My credibility is not
- 37:16Speaker 1: what you say about yourself, is what other people say
- 37:19Speaker 1: about you. Wow. And so when if someone speaks holly
- 37:23Speaker 1: of you, if they celebrate you and you have results,
- 37:26Speaker 1: then people automatically going to start to build that trust
- 37:28Speaker 1: factor because they say, well, live Joe believes in in
- 37:31Speaker 1: Rob young Blood. If Rashan believes in Rob young Blood,
- 37:34Speaker 1: I might need to get ro Rob young Blood on
- 37:36Speaker 1: my show. You know, it's really cool because you know
- 37:38Speaker 1: I followed my relationship with you and and like because
- 37:43Speaker 1: you post your appearances on my show and the reaction
- 37:46Speaker 1: this time, what's probably the biggest ever, people liking and
- 37:51Speaker 1: viewing and all. I was like to really let me
- 37:53Speaker 1: know that my brand is growing, but also the direction
- 37:56Speaker 1: your career and people are respecting what you're stepping into.
- 38:00Speaker 1: So and it was just your picture. It was no
- 38:02Speaker 1: picture with Mars wasn't on the picture. I don't know, man,
- 38:05Speaker 1: if you would have put Morris on there with my picture,
- 38:08Speaker 1: I'll tell you probably my wife. My wife would have
- 38:10Speaker 1: been even more excited about me being here in Atlanta
- 38:13Speaker 1: that you might want to bring Mars down to Richmond
- 38:16Speaker 1: with you well, we're gonna be right back with more.

- 39:44Speaker 1: please blocking the phone. The one and only Charlie Wilson.
- 39:48Speaker 1: So many people have really been trying to give me
- 39:50Speaker 1: to do a gospel record for so many years, and
- 39:52Speaker 1: I have been promising God that I would, I would
- 39:55Speaker 1: shout him out to do something, you know, and un
- 40:00Speaker 1: there goes my baby. Come on, man, but a little
- 40:02Speaker 1: Jesus in the song, Come on Ms Patty little bell
- 40:06Speaker 1: and you know what I'm gonna be doing concerts and

- 40:15Speaker 1: I told you be there every Monday ten am. The
- 40:18Speaker 1: Neon B is the loving naty money Making Conversations. Cool.
- 40:22Speaker 1: This is Rushan McDonald, the host of Money Making Conversation.
- 40:26Speaker 1: With extend an interview to another break with my man.
- 40:29Speaker 1: He's the founder and chief connecting officer why Be Connects,
- 40:32Speaker 1: which is based in Richmond, Virginia. Please welcome back again
- 40:35Speaker 1: to money Making Conversation. A pleasure to be here, Robert T.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Y B. Young Blood. Now we were talking about cold calling,
- 40:43Speaker 1: were talking about a lot of things that Rashan McDonald
- 40:45Speaker 1: cannot do because I'm because it almost feels like it's
- 40:49Speaker 1: almost you know, putting yourself out there, you know, to strangers,
- 40:53Speaker 1: strangers and so. But but but that's what marketing is.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Marketing is marketing. Two people are talking to people that
- 41:01Speaker 1: you don't even know. That's right, that's right, and that's
- 41:03Speaker 1: what you're breaking down from your business. It's it's so
- 41:06Speaker 1: so social media is beautiful because it's the new cold call, right,
- 41:11Speaker 1: But it's not cold because people will warm up to
- 41:14Speaker 1: you based on their common likes, common interest. Right. So
- 41:18Speaker 1: if you like baking and I joined a group and
- 41:21Speaker 1: we're in the same group, it's not cold anymore because
- 41:24Speaker 1: we have a common bond. But if you just pick
- 41:26Speaker 1: up the phone and call somebody out the Yellow Pages,
- 41:28Speaker 1: you don't know if you're interrupting them. They could be
- 41:30Speaker 1: painting their house, they could be changing their kids dip.
- 41:32Speaker 1: So so you take a risk when you make a
- 41:35Speaker 1: cold call. Now, there's some people out there that do
- 41:36Speaker 1: it very very well. I have a sales coach that
- 41:38Speaker 1: I work with. His name is Joe Picci. He's phenomenal
- 41:41Speaker 1: on on the on the sales call. But for those
- 41:44Speaker 1: who don't, it's important to come in with the relationships
- 41:47Speaker 1: so you know what their needs, wants and desires are
- 41:50Speaker 1: so you can find a way to help them get
- 41:52Speaker 1: what they want. Which is amazingly So when you get
- 41:55Speaker 1: a call from a person like me, say, hey, Robert,
- 41:58Speaker 1: I want to I've been on Chan Joe twice. Why
- 42:01Speaker 1: is it important to come on a show like mine. Well,
- 42:03Speaker 1: as I mentioned before, it's it's it's the two abilities
- 42:06Speaker 1: was three three abilities. So we talked about visibility, and
- 42:09Speaker 1: we talked about credibility, and so what this does you
- 42:12Speaker 1: have suing this credibility in terms of the things that
- 42:14Speaker 1: you've done. So I would be you know, it would
- 42:17Speaker 1: be foolish for me to not to take up on
- 42:20Speaker 1: that that opportunity, being that I'm a growing entrepreneur, I'm
- 42:23Speaker 1: an emerging entrepreneur. I'm looking to increase my visibility and
- 42:26Speaker 1: I want to be able to attract new clients. So
- 42:29Speaker 1: I think this is a wise move to be able
- 42:31Speaker 1: to share information that I typically share with people in
- 42:35Speaker 1: my home home city of Richmond, Virginia and around the
- 42:38Speaker 1: country when I work with clients. This just helps me
- 42:40Speaker 1: to level up to another opportunity. Look you you smooth too.
- 42:46Speaker 1: What about this the word level up? That was key
- 42:49Speaker 1: because we have a tour? Did you're putting together to
- 42:52Speaker 1: level up tour? Level up LinkedIn tour? So essentially, I,
- 42:55Speaker 1: you know, now, I don't work for LinkedIn now if
- 42:58Speaker 1: they if they're listening now, I wouldn't on a sponsorship
- 43:01Speaker 1: or be able to you know, work with them and
- 43:02Speaker 1: help out because I do recognize that LinkedIn as a
- 43:05Speaker 1: whole has over five hundred thousand uh members, right. That
- 43:09Speaker 1: was five and a million users by the way, get
- 43:13Speaker 1: that number of right, But the key fact is that
- 43:16Speaker 1: only a third, less than two hundred million are active.
- 43:21Speaker 1: They're talking about around the world now, right, So my
- 43:25Speaker 1: I'm on a mission to activate one million LinkedIn users
- 43:29Speaker 1: by one Okay, that's your mission, that's my mission right
- 43:33Speaker 1: as it pertains to the level of LinkedIn tour. And
- 43:36Speaker 1: so what what I'm doing is I'm traveling from city
- 43:38Speaker 1: to city working with students, solopreneurs, and sales professionals to
- 43:44Speaker 1: teach them how to leverage LinkedIn to attract their ideal opportunity,
- 43:49Speaker 1: whether it be a client, whether it be mentors for students,
- 43:51Speaker 1: like I did some work at Old Dominion University, and
- 43:54Speaker 1: I'm training students there because what I recognize is that
- 43:57Speaker 1: if you're in the right environment, you put yourself in
- 44:00Speaker 1: the best position to attract opportunities. And so so I
- 44:04Speaker 1: just want to show folks how to do that. And
- 44:06Speaker 1: and people love Instagram, they love Facebook, they love Twitter,
- 44:11Speaker 1: but there's just certain things you cannot do on those
- 44:13Speaker 1: platforms that you can do on LinkedIn. That's true. I was.
- 44:16Speaker 1: I was in l A Saturday. You know, a good
- 44:18Speaker 1: friend of mine, Sara Finni. I finally convinced her to
- 44:21Speaker 1: you know, she's one of the top creative and the
- 44:24Speaker 1: sitcom and executive ducers in Hollywood, and said you should
- 44:27Speaker 1: be on LinkedIn. She said, okay, rid shout out finally
- 44:30Speaker 1: on LinkedIn, and she did because she connected with me,
- 44:33Speaker 1: and because of the fact that this is, like you said,
- 44:35Speaker 1: this is just another way of showcasing your brand. Your
- 44:38Speaker 1: singer and actor an engineer. It's it's just it's just
- 44:42Speaker 1: like it is the new employment section, but it's really slick,
- 44:46Speaker 1: it's really cool. Allows you to talk about who you are,
- 44:49Speaker 1: allows you to put recommendations. That's right. Recommendations are critical.
- 44:52Speaker 1: So if you and that's where credibility comes in the game.
- 44:56Speaker 1: So if I made an impact on you, if I
- 44:58Speaker 1: made an impact on your show, I'll reach out and say,
- 45:01Speaker 1: ra Sean, based on the impact that I've made on you,
- 45:04Speaker 1: would you be willing to provide a recommendation of testimonial
- 45:07Speaker 1: to highlight the impact that I've made on you. And
- 45:10Speaker 1: if the trust and relationship is there and it's mutual,
- 45:13Speaker 1: you'll do that. What happens is when people read your
- 45:16Speaker 1: profile and you look at the testimonials, they're gonna be
- 45:19Speaker 1: blown away because I'm not saying how great I am.
- 45:22Speaker 1: I'm not talking about how sweet I am. It's the
- 45:24Speaker 1: people that I'm helping that's saying that, right, And so
- 45:27Speaker 1: if they if you have any level of credibility as
- 45:29Speaker 1: an individual, as a professional, you then can leverage that
- 45:33Speaker 1: credibility to grow and move on to another sector or
- 45:37Speaker 1: to another client, which is really important important. So so
- 45:40Speaker 1: when you say the level up linked in tools. Now,
- 45:43Speaker 1: is this something that one can contact you or via
- 45:47Speaker 1: email or how that? Absolutely? So they can come to
- 45:49Speaker 1: my website why be connects dot com and they can
- 45:52Speaker 1: reach out to me. So essentially, I'm looking at a
- 45:53Speaker 1: couple of cities now I'd love to, you know, like
- 45:56Speaker 1: looking at l A and doing this during the summer.
- 45:59Speaker 1: I told the folks in Chicago, don't contact me now,
- 46:01Speaker 1: I'm not trying to come up there now, but to
- 46:03Speaker 1: come out there. Yeah there so. But but but what
- 46:08Speaker 1: I'm doing is I'm doing my own like thing when
- 46:10Speaker 1: I'm booking my events. And then if individuals, whether it
- 46:13Speaker 1: be small businesses or colleges, they want me to come
- 46:15Speaker 1: out and teach their teams how to leverage LinkedIn, then
- 46:18Speaker 1: we add those cities on to the Now you throw
- 46:20Speaker 1: the name out a couple of times. Soeurs, sir. So
- 46:24Speaker 1: most people know what an entrepreneur is. There's a person
- 46:26Speaker 1: who turns they may not. They may not, so I'll
- 46:29Speaker 1: just explain. So entrepreneurs someone who turns nothing into something.
- 46:33Speaker 1: So it could be an idea. They may say, well, listen,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I want to own my own radio show one day.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Well that idea is it starts out as nothing and
- 46:40Speaker 1: then when it becomes manifest, then it's tangible. Right. Well,
- 46:44Speaker 1: the solopreneurs an individuals that's in business for themselves by themselves.
- 46:49Speaker 1: So I take my good friend martiall Fox, he's a
- 46:51Speaker 1: graphic designer. Right when he started out, he was a solopreneurs,
- 46:54Speaker 1: he was a freelancer, so it's another term for freelancer, right,
- 46:58Speaker 1: So he's in business for himself and busines is by himself.
- 47:00Speaker 1: He's now the president of one toy design studio, so
- 47:04Speaker 1: he now owns part of a company that he has
- 47:07Speaker 1: a team, and now he's moved from being a solopreneurs
- 47:11Speaker 1: to an entrepreneur, which is is way more solopreneurs. It's
- 47:14Speaker 1: a tremendous amount. And here's the reality. Most solopreneurs will
- 47:18Speaker 1: likely give up on what they do because they see
- 47:21Speaker 1: that it's too difficult. They don't have a network, they're
- 47:24Speaker 1: doing everything by themselves. They're not branching out. And so
- 47:27Speaker 1: I want to help those people because solopreneurs have to
- 47:29Speaker 1: do two things. They have to serve in terms of
- 47:32Speaker 1: their craft and they have to sell. But which one
- 47:35Speaker 1: do you think most would rather do? They've had to serve.
- 47:38Speaker 1: So my goal is to come in and help that.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Solopreneurs says, Listen, I struggle with selling. I don't know
- 47:43Speaker 1: how to get clients. I'm great at what what I do,
- 47:46Speaker 1: but how do I how do I get more clients
- 47:48Speaker 1: and I can come in in the trenches with them
- 47:49Speaker 1: and help them to make that happen. Before you go,
- 47:51Speaker 1: I want to talk about the high school to HBCU initiatives. Sir,
- 47:55Speaker 1: what is that? So? I just this is different? Well,
- 47:59Speaker 1: this is this is tied to y b Uh, it's not.
- 48:01Speaker 1: It's not directly connected to y BE connects. But so
- 48:04Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a graduate of Virginia U University, one
- 48:07Speaker 1: of the top HBCUs in Virginia sixty five. So I
- 48:11Speaker 1: had to get a little plug to my view panthers.
- 48:14Speaker 1: But um, I've received a message from a classmate who
- 48:18Speaker 1: wanted to get these pennants, you know, the HBC or
- 48:22Speaker 1: college pennants, because there were none of h b c
- 48:25Speaker 1: U s on this wall. And so when she contacted me,
- 48:28Speaker 1: she said, why b could you help me get a
- 48:30Speaker 1: VU pennant? I said, sure, I'll make sure I do that.
- 48:33Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit hit me and said, you need to
- 48:36Speaker 1: do that for every high school in America. So I
- 48:39Speaker 1: posted a message on social media and I said, if
- 48:41Speaker 1: you're an alum of an HBCU posted school in the
- 48:45Speaker 1: year you graduated, and I literally that literally went viral,
- 48:49Speaker 1: and I said, you know what, I'm going to start
- 48:52Speaker 1: another I wouldn't call it a tour, but it's an
- 48:54Speaker 1: initiative to promote h b c U s in every
- 48:58Speaker 1: high school in America. And the way that I gonna
- 49:00Speaker 1: do that, it's not just me. I'm going to leverage
- 49:02Speaker 1: other HBCU alums who are already probably doing the same thing,
- 49:06Speaker 1: and let's come together so we can make a major
- 49:08Speaker 1: impact in terms of promoting h b c U s
- 49:10Speaker 1: in our school. Well, we're gonna we go. We're gonna
- 49:13Speaker 1: be together more because the goal of you know, money
- 49:16Speaker 1: making conversation is the millennial voice for eighteen thirty four
- 49:20Speaker 1: and hbc U school is a major focus of mine,
- 49:23Speaker 1: is to be in these schools to really educate the
- 49:26Speaker 1: young people early on, because this is a new era,
- 49:29Speaker 1: is you know, because sometimes you listen to your parents,
- 49:31Speaker 1: they're talking to old school. They don't know, they're not
- 49:34Speaker 1: they're not understanding that kids don't care about that big
- 49:37Speaker 1: screen TV on their own. They don't care about that.
- 49:39Speaker 1: They will worry about if I got a sister. I
- 49:41Speaker 1: got a sister. I got a daughter who's in college,
- 49:43Speaker 1: so I looked the way to look at the way
- 49:45Speaker 1: she talks and communicates. So I felt there was a need.
- 49:47Speaker 1: So the direction you're going, we're gonna maintain partnerships and
- 49:51Speaker 1: any banners you need for me to solicit post on
- 49:54Speaker 1: my social media for money making conversations, please let me know.
- 49:57Speaker 1: But I definitely want to before you go, let their
- 50:00Speaker 1: I know how they can reach out to your fantastic
- 50:02Speaker 1: is always your information always I'll be I'm asking courtions,
- 50:05Speaker 1: but i'd be like, right, mental notes, I'm pretty sure
- 50:07Speaker 1: that no. So the best way to start is my
- 50:09Speaker 1: website www dot hy b connects dot com. Make sure
- 50:13Speaker 1: you add an s at the end. Some people might
- 50:14Speaker 1: put why be connect is why be connects, And then
- 50:17Speaker 1: on LinkedIn they can find me Robert t y be
- 50:20Speaker 1: young Blood or hashtag why be connects. On any social
- 50:23Speaker 1: media platforms, they'll be able to find me. As always
- 50:25Speaker 1: your informative. I leave here a much wiser man in
- 50:29Speaker 1: the LinkedIn world, and I'm a big fan of yours
- 50:31Speaker 1: and like I said, again, you'll be on the show again.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I look forward to and I appreciate you. And then
- 50:36Speaker 1: he said, I have credibility. That's what I like that.
- 50:38Speaker 1: But he said, I give credibility to hit brand. But
- 50:40Speaker 1: guess what, I'm trying to get credibility to everybody's brand.
- 50:43Speaker 1: That's where I created one money Making Conversation because it
- 50:46Speaker 1: allows me to share secrets of success. Just like the
- 50:49Speaker 1: secrets of success. That why being just explained, we'll be
- 50:52Speaker 1: right back. We'll be right back with war from Marsa
- 50:59Speaker 1: McDonald and money Making Conversations. Don't touch that dive. Welcome
- 51:06Speaker 1: to money Making Conversations. It's the show that she has
- 51:08Speaker 1: the secrets of success experience firsthand by marketing and Brandon
- 51:11Speaker 1: expert Rashan McDonald. I will know he's giving me advice
- 51:14Speaker 1: to many occasions. In the case you didn't notice, I'm
- 51:17Speaker 1: not broke. You know, he'll be interviewing celebrity CEOs, entrepreneurs
- 51:21Speaker 1: and industry decision makers. It's what he likes to do,
- 51:23Speaker 1: it's what he likes to share. Now it's time to
- 51:26Speaker 1: hear from my man, Rashan McDonald. Money Making Conversations Here
- 51:30Speaker 1: we come definitely back definitely on their live Rashaan McDonald
- 51:35Speaker 1: host The Money Making Conversation, Let's get this rolling. He's
- 51:38Speaker 1: currently the medical contributor and co host of the nationally
- 51:41Speaker 1: syndicated television show The Rachel Ray Show. And I call
- 51:45Speaker 1: him the official authority in the weight lost world because
- 51:48Speaker 1: I'm telling you he's put out four teen books, five
- 51:51Speaker 1: of them have become number one New York Times bestseller.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Please welcome a good friend of mine to Money Making Conversation,
- 51:57Speaker 1: Dr Ian Smith. Thank you. Everything's doing really good, my friend,
- 52:03Speaker 1: really really good. That's good. Thanks for having me on again. Absolutely,
- 52:06Speaker 1: before we get to your new book, I gotta I
- 52:08Speaker 1: gotta tell you something, man, because last time I had
- 52:10Speaker 1: you on the show and the fall we're talking about
- 52:13Speaker 1: Blast to Sugar Out. You know, I was a fan
- 52:15Speaker 1: of that book and we were laughing about my bad
- 52:18Speaker 1: eating habits. He reached and You Are Food, and that
- 52:22Speaker 1: instantly became a New York Times bestseller. Now, what I
- 52:26Speaker 1: gotta tell you is it's very emotional for me because
- 52:29Speaker 1: of the fact that my mom is now on your
- 52:33Speaker 1: diet Blast to Sugar Out. WHOA, yes, sir, that's I
- 52:38Speaker 1: love that. Yes sir, yes, sir. And I'm gonna just
- 52:40Speaker 1: tell you. You know, my mom's overweight. You know, she
- 52:42Speaker 1: has all the issues that when you're over eighty, all
- 52:45Speaker 1: the issues. You know, she has to have a physical
- 52:48Speaker 1: trainer and uh. And so I just finally went out
- 52:51Speaker 1: to God with my sisters and brothers. We we gotta
- 52:54Speaker 1: get a plan together here, I said, uh. And they said,
- 52:57Speaker 1: and we you know, we're paying all the money, you know,
- 53:00Speaker 1: the cooks and everybody to take care of her. But
- 53:02Speaker 1: there was no plan. And your book, Blast the Sugar
- 53:05Speaker 1: Out gave me a plan now. And it was just
- 53:08Speaker 1: sitting in my library and I and I went to
- 53:10Speaker 1: my mom and I would to sat down when everybody
- 53:12Speaker 1: said look and not shoulder. I walked through the book.
- 53:15Speaker 1: I said, this is the book. It's a five week plan. Mom,
- 53:17Speaker 1: just just give me five weeks with this. Give me
- 53:20Speaker 1: five weeks, I said, I feel would change your life.
- 53:23Speaker 1: I said, look at you can have, you can have
- 53:25Speaker 1: you know, smoothies and everything. And I said, just just
- 53:28Speaker 1: do this. And LETNA tell you something. Because it reduced
- 53:30Speaker 1: bad sugar from your diet, you can lose weight from
- 53:33Speaker 1: your diet and you can lower your blood sugar level,
- 53:36Speaker 1: which is important and it cut your cravings. I got
- 53:40Speaker 1: she lives in Atlanta. She lives I lived in Atlanta.
- 53:42Speaker 1: She lives in Houston, and my sister was over there.
- 53:44Speaker 1: She's been on the diet for a week and said,
- 53:47Speaker 1: my mom looked outstanding. Dude, Wow, it's amazing how making
- 53:54Speaker 1: some smart because it doesn't. The book doesn't ask you
- 53:56Speaker 1: to make big changes and asked you to make some
- 53:58Speaker 1: small changes in different but it's amazing. I tell you
- 54:01Speaker 1: all the time how small changes yield big differences, and
- 54:05Speaker 1: it's amazing what it can do for you. I mean,
- 54:06Speaker 1: it's not overly complicated, but it's also about perseverance. Right,
- 54:10Speaker 1: you have to believe in the program. Like anything in life,
- 54:12Speaker 1: you know, entrepreneurship, you gotta believe that your idea, that
- 54:17Speaker 1: your business plan, that your model is going to work.
- 54:19Speaker 1: If you don't believe in it to start, it's not
- 54:21Speaker 1: gonna work, it's not gonna happen. And the same thing
- 54:24Speaker 1: with weight loss and dieting and becoming healthy. You have
- 54:26Speaker 1: to believe that the steps you're taking, whether they be
- 54:29Speaker 1: it's small or large, are going to be productive. At
- 54:31Speaker 1: the end of the day, when you have that belief.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Then the rest is all about execution. And that's important
- 54:36Speaker 1: because you know, I was confused. I was a confused
- 54:39Speaker 1: guy trying to figure out how I can make my
- 54:41Speaker 1: mom live longer. And then here was the information that
- 54:45Speaker 1: was very easy to read. And we're going to talk
- 54:47Speaker 1: about your new book in a minute, but I just
- 54:49Speaker 1: wanted to just get that out to your man and
- 54:51Speaker 1: let you know that, and also just give more credibility
- 54:54Speaker 1: to our relationship, and just let me just say that
- 54:57Speaker 1: I really appreciate you telling me that because my mother
- 55:00Speaker 1: is still alive. I'm very blessed that she's still alive.
- 55:02Speaker 1: But a lot of people, you know, you're on Facebook
- 55:04Speaker 1: all day and you care about people losing their parents,
- 55:06Speaker 1: especially as we get older, and uh, it just makes
- 55:09Speaker 1: me think how much, how how much, how many people
- 55:12Speaker 1: would love to have their parents around for even another day,
- 55:16Speaker 1: forget about a year or ten years, even just another day.
- 55:18Speaker 1: And so I'm hoping that my books will get people
- 55:22Speaker 1: to understand that they can improve the quality of their life,
- 55:25Speaker 1: they can improve the longevity of their life, and they
- 55:28Speaker 1: can increase the amount of time that we spend together.
- 55:30Speaker 1: No one's gonna lift forever, so I'm not saying that,
- 55:32Speaker 1: but you do want to live as long as you
- 55:34Speaker 1: possibly can and the best healthy possibly can to enjoy
- 55:37Speaker 1: those around you. And I'm glad that you and your
- 55:39Speaker 1: brothers and sisters have sat down and said, we're going
- 55:41Speaker 1: to do an intervention on our mother, because your mother
- 55:43Speaker 1: is most important. Oh yeah, it's so funny when when
- 55:47Speaker 1: we uh one day for breakfast, mom just getting the
- 55:49Speaker 1: smooth and she went, is it? Yeah, Mom, we've got
- 55:53Speaker 1: more food coming, but right now, you know them grits,
- 55:57Speaker 1: And now we're just gonna do it a smooth And
- 56:00Speaker 1: see once we got bad that Tuesday hump, she's been
- 56:05Speaker 1: flying ever since. Man. And I'm happy with this is
- 56:07Speaker 1: a beautiful thing. And but let's move on to the
- 56:09Speaker 1: next book, man, because you'd be putting out a book
- 56:11Speaker 1: a year. It's called The Clean twenty. It's coming out,
- 56:17Speaker 1: uh St Martin's Press. Tell us about the Clean twenty,
- 56:20Speaker 1: because obviously, if I'm a fan of Blast to figure out,
- 56:23Speaker 1: you know, I'm going to be a fan of the
- 56:24Speaker 1: Clean twenty, Well, let me talk about the Clean twenty
- 56:27Speaker 1: really quickly. The Clean twenty is based on twenty foods
- 56:30Speaker 1: for twenty days total transformation the idea is very simple.
- 56:34Speaker 1: For twenty days, you are going to eat as clean
- 56:36Speaker 1: as you possibly can. Once again, you're not going to
- 56:39Speaker 1: eat perfectly, because I never asked you my plans to
- 56:41Speaker 1: be perfect. No one's perfect. I'm not perfect. But what
- 56:44Speaker 1: I am asking you is to dramatically reduce the processed
- 56:47Speaker 1: foods that litter our shelves and grocery stores, that are
- 56:51Speaker 1: all over our cabinets and our refrigerators. If you reduce
- 56:55Speaker 1: some of these processed foods, these foods are all these
- 56:57Speaker 1: artificial chemicals, names of which most people canny and pronounced
- 57:00Speaker 1: or even understand what they do. If you can reduce
- 57:03Speaker 1: that and get down to clean eating, the dramatic change
- 57:06Speaker 1: in your energy levels, in your skin appearance, and your
- 57:09Speaker 1: gastro intestinal track, your g I system, and what you
- 57:13Speaker 1: see on the scale is dramatic. We've had people do
- 57:15Speaker 1: the Clean twenty already in advance of the book's release,
- 57:18Speaker 1: and they've dropped between twen and twelve pounds in just
- 57:21Speaker 1: twenty days. And Rashan, this is not a diet per se.
- 57:24Speaker 1: This isn't one of those things where I'm pounding your
- 57:27Speaker 1: calories on. Restricting your has nothing to do with calories.
- 57:30Speaker 1: This is all about eating proper portions and eating clean foods,
- 57:35Speaker 1: and that change alone is what's making people lose all
- 57:38Speaker 1: the weight. In fact, we just had Jack K Harry,
- 57:40Speaker 1: you know Jack K the Act. She was on Rachel
- 57:43Speaker 1: Ray with me last week. She's doing the Clean twenty
- 57:46Speaker 1: and then in April we're gonna do her big reveal.
- 57:49Speaker 1: But the idea is that all of us can do it.
- 57:51Speaker 1: And we set up a group on Facebook that is
- 57:54Speaker 1: following the Clean twenty early, getting a sneak peak. So
- 57:57Speaker 1: if you're interested and joining us and getting a book
- 58:00Speaker 1: early and starting, please go to our website. Our website
- 58:04Speaker 1: is Challenge and Transform dot com or email me the
- 58:09Speaker 1: Clean twenty that's to zero the Clean twenty at gmail
- 58:12Speaker 1: dot com. Because you know me, I'm gonna support you,
- 58:14Speaker 1: So give me that banner. And you know I've posted
- 58:17Speaker 1: on my social media because it's about relationships and something
- 58:20Speaker 1: I believe in and I believe in you, my friend,
- 58:22Speaker 1: and America believes in you. But like I said earlier,
- 58:25Speaker 1: you know, five of his fourteen books have been number
- 58:28Speaker 1: one New York Times bestseller. And we're gonna work and
- 58:31Speaker 1: we're gonna work on make on this six, really si
- 58:35Speaker 1: six out of fifty. I'm I'm putting it in the
- 58:37Speaker 1: atmosphere for your doc. I'll take the energy. Man. You
- 58:40Speaker 1: gotta send the energy up in the universe and it
- 58:41Speaker 1: comes back to you because it's important because of the
- 58:44Speaker 1: fact that you know, like I said, I had to
- 58:46Speaker 1: have a testimony about my personal relationship, and you mentioned
- 58:49Speaker 1: something about just not about counting calories, but how important
- 58:53Speaker 1: is exercise and all that. Well, you know, it's interesting,
- 58:56Speaker 1: you know, I always say to people, if someone said
- 58:58Speaker 1: to me, as a physician, I can only write one
- 59:01Speaker 1: prescription for better health, what would it be? That prescription
- 59:04Speaker 1: would be exercise? Because exercise impacts almost every organ system
- 59:09Speaker 1: in the body. And when we say exercise, Rashaan, we're
- 59:12Speaker 1: not saying that you have to go to the gym
- 59:14Speaker 1: for an hour and a half, you know, falling down
- 59:16Speaker 1: and did no. No, We're talking about consistent, moderate to
- 59:20Speaker 1: vigorous exercise. I believe you did it for thirty thirty
- 59:23Speaker 1: five minutes, three to five days a week. For most
- 59:26Speaker 1: of us, that is absolutely enough. And in fact, I've
- 59:29Speaker 1: created DVDs on my website. One's called The Shred twenty
- 59:34Speaker 1: seven Burn. The other is called the positive Air shred
- 59:37Speaker 1: Worker I did with the gospel artists and pastor Charles Jenkins,
- 59:41Speaker 1: who's a big time award winner. So if you go
- 59:44Speaker 1: to our website at shred Life s h R E
- 59:47Speaker 1: D life dot com, you can see the videos in
- 59:48Speaker 1: the trailer. But listen, I'm not the only one with
- 59:51Speaker 1: good videos. I mean, you want to look for exercise
- 59:53Speaker 1: programs that do hit high intensity interval training. Hi, I
- 59:57Speaker 1: t google it and look at some of those programs
- 59:59Speaker 1: out there and you'll benefit. Yeah, the thing you're just
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: telling everybody is that the Clean twenty plan twenty foods,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: twenty days total transformation. That's what you're just trying to
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: get into everybody's head about the Clean twenty Absolutely no
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: doubt about it. And you gotta believe that. And listen,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: it's twenty days. I told someone, anyone can do anything
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: for twenty days. It's not even a month. It's less
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: than a month to really hit the reset button. It's
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: about hitting the reset button and getting yourself more aligned
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: with eating more natural fruits. That doesn't mean it's not
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: gonna be tasty, and by the way, you won't be hungry.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: There are tons of foods. There's seafood, there's poultry, there's turkey,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: there's dairy, there are all kinds of fruits and vegetables, cheese.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: So people say, well, I don't understand. I've never been
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: on the diet where I can have all this stuff.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: This isn't a diet. This is a food plan to
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: help you be able to eat better and feel better.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: But it's more like a lifestyle. And that's why people
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I have you on my show because if you're not healthy,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: not eating right, but you can't run your business, you
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: can't go to work, you're not an effective employee because
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: because guess what, you're causing us with your medical plans
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: and all this. So getting it done right, it's about entrepreneurship,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: it's about lifestyle. That's why I like about your plans
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: because you shoten them and you make them concise, you
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: make them easy to read, and it really really benefits
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: the masses. A rich man's best friend, believe it or not,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: it's not a stockbroker, it's his health. If you don't
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: have your health, if you're not thinking clearly, if you're
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: not feeling well, if you're not able to get up
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and move around, you have nothing. All the riches and
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: the opportunities don't matter because you can't capitalize on them.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: And that's why I say to people, this just isn't
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: about how you look. This is also about how you
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: can function. Are you thinking well? Are you able to
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: go to meetings? Are you able to get in and
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: out of planes and cars and and and and work late?
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: You know, I just basic funk. You know. We don't
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: think about this, but just basic functioning. It's so important
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: to how productive we are as business people and as consumers. Well,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: my friend, we're gonna be back with more of dr
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Ian Smith. Do not go anywhere. I love this guy.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: We'll be right back. More from Msha McDonald on money
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Making Conversations won't touch that though. Let me tell you
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: about the host of money Making Conversations, Rashaan McDonald. He's

- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Visit Rashan McDonald dot com. Hi, this is rus Sean McDonald,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: the host of Money Making Conversation. You say to yourself,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: who calls Rushan shell Rickie smiling, You got to get
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: out of your own city and leave in order to
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: group of fish. Don't get bigger as long as it's
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: inside of that fish boat. This get bigger when you
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: put it in a poet, Ladies and gentlemen, please bucking
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: the phone. The one and only Charlie Wilson. So many
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: people have really been trying to give me to do
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: a gospel record for so many years, and I've been
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: promising God that I would, I would shout him out
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: to do something, you know. And that was my baby.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Come on, man, put a little Jesus in the song.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Come on brother, miss Patty little Bell, and you know what,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna be doing concerts and little clubs. Thank you.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Thank you for you so that I can touch you
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: when I'm sitting with my hand. Thank you. See, I
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: told you be there every Monday, ten am the noon.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Basy Love and Naty money Making Conversations. This was Sean
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: McDonald's money Making Conversation dr And if it's still on
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: the phone, as I welcome my next guest. She's a model, actress,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: and entrepreneur, CEO of the Bailey Agency School of Fashion
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: and one of the stars of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Please welcome to Money Making Conversations. Cynthia Bailey. Oh I
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: love it. First of all, can I just say this
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: public I am a fan. Yeah, I am a fan.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: And dot you are you're still on the phone, right,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I'm still here. I'm right with you, man, I'm right
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: with you, you know. And I just had that I
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: said that, I think there's a sneaky way. I used
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Dran Smith the book you on my show. That's what
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I did because because you're fantastic, because of the fact
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: that you know everybody knows. I always tell people anybody
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: who goes into the industry, you're an entrepreneur president in
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: the acting and singing and modeling, and there's a difficult
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: fields to go into and you have to have a
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: certain mindset because guess what the word no, You're dealing
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: with age, you dealing with competition, so many different things
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: like that. And then then I just look at your
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: entrepreneurship card. You know the Bailey I wear the Bailey candles.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: You have a foundation, be Better foundation car Go by
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Cynthia Bailey. You are a brand now? Correct? Yes? I am.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I am. I worked to build my friend and I'm
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: still building it. I feel like, you know, it's just
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: getting better and better. I'm excited about all the things
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: that have going on. So one of the things that
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: excited me was, you know the thing about Doc Dran
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Smith and I, you know, we go back, we know
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: on these other many many years. So you're you just
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: enter in my life and that may not be good
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: because he knows I will pester you about your career,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: like Gary, won't you send me a banner about them glasses?
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Won't you send me dr You know how to do that, right, doctor, Absolutely,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: that's a good thing. Let me know what you want,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Just let me know what you want. So here, So
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: here's the funny card. Let's talk about the Nubian book
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Club that you guys are were partnered on. So let's
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: give us a background on that. And I'm gonna talking
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: you how I just invaded dr Ian Smith life with it. Well,
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: you know, I at the Newbian book Club and Sentia
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: came along with me because I realized Rashan and so
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: many African American authors do not get the platform, do
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: not get the support, do not get the encouragement in
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: order to put their work out there. And by the
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: same token, publishers, main publishers in the industry for a
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: long time, I feel have largely ignored black readers. And
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: so I, INCENTI you we want to encourage not only
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: more African Americans to become writers. And this our group
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: is for people authors of colors. So it's not just
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: African Americans as the only ASTRA, but we want to
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: encourage more of people of color to become writers, but
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: also to become more readers to read more in support
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: our authors. So on Facebook we started this book club.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: It's now the biggest online book club for people of color.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: It's called the Nubian Book Nook. So please join us
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: on Facebook. We also have a website Nubian book nook
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: dot com. Our first our selection was a sister named
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Bernice L. McFadden and her book is called The Book
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: of Harlan, based on African Americans during Nazi Germany. Patient
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: So we always talk about you know, jew the Holocaust
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: and Jews, but we also we never talked about how
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: it affective African Americans. So this book is tremendous. Please
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: join us. And Centia, also with her brand, is also
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: a big fan of reading. She and I met many
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: years ago, by the way, and share a love of
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: reading a long time ago in New York City. And
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: so we're just happy to be able to produce this
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: platform not just for readers but also for our writers.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Let me just say that, you know, he's the die king.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, He's a die Now he's focused.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Now I said, you got eyewear, you got candles, you
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: got called, you got a foundation. Why is it important?
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Why is it important to partner up with him on
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: this Nubian book book club? Well, like way back, we
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: have a lot of his transitors. Is a matter of fight.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: His first book, The Blackbird Papers Today we wrote we
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: were you know, great plants, and you know I supported
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: him then. I am a huge reader. You know, my
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: schedules a little crazy now. So it's one of my
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: favorite things to do. And you know, a lot of
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: a lot of people approached me with books all the time,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: like new writers. I'm just trying to get the products
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: out there. Everywhere I go, someone's giving me a book
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: to read. Actually, I have probably about three books in
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: the year just that we spend probably like the last
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: four years where you know, we have all this talent
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: out there, but they just don't really have a real
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: platform to get exposure. And I'm in a position because
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: of my platform on the Housewives and all the things
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: that I'm doing. You know, for me, if I say
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: I everydn't say hey, it's great, it's a great book,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: and I make it a part of our book club,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: then they at least have a chance of getting some recognition.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: So I think it's amazing. Reading is very important. You
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: know a lot of people people just don't read like
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: they used to. And uh again, I just think it's
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: it's important to read. Now we're not in the book club,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: so doc, what happens? Okay, you you chose this book,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: So what happens? How does this process work? I'm just
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: trying to wrap my head around and watch the viewers
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: on Facebook the on podcast. So we have a we
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: we we feature one book every month. We have of
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: our members, they make suggestions, they email us, so if
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: anyone's listening who wants to be part of it, email
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: me Newbian book nook and okay at gmail dot com.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: We have a selection committee and we choose one feature
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: a month and then midway through the month, we have
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: an open line discussion within our Facebook group about the
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: book and then we talked to the aufte. So the
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: author has agreed to do an interview, so we post
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: h the author's interview. And we also have a section
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: of hot reads, so we have a different list Hot
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: reads for romance, Hot Reads for mystery, Hot Reads for
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: science fiction. So we also are making recommendations for other
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: books that may not be the featured book, but you
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: may be interested in other books too, And so that's
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: how we do it. And cynthing and I really believe
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: that was all the things that we have going on.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: You know, Cynthia's you know eyeglass ware, which is absolutely
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: phenomenal and I wear mine all the time. Uh I
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: need to read read that's that said. Look co brand
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: in there saith you them all? Yeah, and and I
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: uh in And I also part I was gonna partner
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: up on an extension of my cargo bagline as well.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: He's a huge fan of my Cargo by CD and
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: we know just recently partnered on I don't want to
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: call it a lower in line, but a less expensive
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: line of luggage and putting that really luggage, but backpacks
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: and and you know overnight ers and you know BANDI
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: packs everyday, use it everyday, use it everyone. You know,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: I have time food, you have a target, that's right,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: that's right. And you know my brand to be Bailey
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Brand is all about quality but also affordability. I want
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: to make sure that I'm creating products that are not
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: only create products, but you know, there's something for everyone.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I'll tell you why. I love this partnership because, first
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: of all, you know, you know, your star power emanates
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: from Real Housewives of Atlanta. You know, because people see
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: you O Sunday, they can watch you, they get opinion
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: of you and follow your social media. Now you're partner
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: with an everyday guy and Dr Incident that's all he
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: deals with, That's how he He only deals with the
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: regular person out there who wants to change their lives.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: And then I'm looking at your brands and I'm going,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: that's all you're doing. You just you just you know,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: from the O word to the candles, nothing is excessive.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: It's like I just wanted your life be a little
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: bit better. And I just think that is such a
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: fantastic marriage you guys are creating with your brands because
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: of the fact that you're reaching the masses. Well, I
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: appreciate that. You know. One of the one of the
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: things I love about watching is he's a smart guy.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: He's a really, really smart guy. And like I said,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: we have history together, and I believe that by us
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: combining our brand power and our intelligence and our business savvy,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: you know, we're gonna we're gonna win. I mean, I
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: hope to him, Um, this is just the beginning that
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: I hope that we can we can come together to
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: do a lot a lot of other problems you and
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: you will and you will. Here's the funniest side of me.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: So so Doc, he tells me about the book club, right, so,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I said it said, Doc sent me sent me a banner.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: He said, okay, I sent your band. That's a doc.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I don't like that banner. Can we can we upgrade
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: the banner? Can we? I want to post this, you know,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: can I can? I get it? You know? You know,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: he's real esthetic. We're doing the book club. He just
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: had books on it, right because he sent me and
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: it was just kind of boring. I'm just gonna say,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: and that's far man. I'm very hands off with all
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the creative now. You know, I love you, and but
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: you know, you know, you know I can sit the
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: on that and can I get you on that? Doc?
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: But I will be you know a little because this
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: is a great idea and it landed on my Facebook
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: page at a fantastic and age bent responsive likes and
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: so because people want this, people want to be able
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: to enjoy and learned, and I really relate to people.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: They have no place to sell their book. Amazon's overcrowded,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: so you can't really target anybody and have an opportunity
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: to be talking about two major stars in the business
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: is a blessing. Well, we appreciate it, and yeah, we're excited,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: and we were excited that we crossed the four thousand
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: barrier and just under two weeks, and so we just
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: want people to keep signing up. Tell your friends that
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: your loved ones is all about support. It's about sharing
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: our stories. Our stories don't get enough enough play, enough
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: hit and support. So we're sharing our stories and we're
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: growing our readership and it's just wonderful. Thank you both
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: for calling on my show. You guys are fantastic. Cynthia,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: you remember the ras Sean McDonald club. Now we'll be
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: right back. More from Rashan McDonald and Money Making Conversations.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Don't touch that down. Tell some money making conversations. Rashan

- 1:14:46Speaker 1: will use his business and celebrity relationships to empower small
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: businesses with information to succeed. Hi, just Rashan McDonald, you're
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: listening to money may in Conversations. My next guest is
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: in studio, so that means I have no control. I
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: can't hang up on him, I can't just connect him.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: I can't tell him, hey, can you mute him? Because
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: guess what, He's unmutable. By the age of six, my
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: next guest knew he wanted to be a comedian. He's
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: become a mentor to me and entrepreneur and a legend
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: and the entertainment business. This something I read his book
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: laughing off because it was the first time and I
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: called him. I said, will you be on my show
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Money Make Conversation? He go, you gotta show. I didn't
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: believe that now, so please walcome to Money Making Conversations.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Comedian George Wallace, Good morning, everybody, Good morning. Thank you
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: for coming on my show. You're welcome. So we got
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: a little minute my mom because I have to keep that.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: So if you hear a little clicking every now and then,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: it's not my teeth now, George. Now, George checked his oide,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: so he's called me Dr Wallace, Dr Waller. I know,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: I know talking to me, I feel much better and
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: I feel that I I said, why did I let
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: him come in studio? Phone would have been so much
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: more much much more control. But together and you look
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: good on radio. I could see you on the radio.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: I could see your smile and say, your personality. It's wonderful.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: God bless you today. Thank you very much. Now let's
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: talk about why you're in town this weekend. I was
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: in town this weekend. We had a big country that
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Philips Arena and Philip Philip Arena was in Phillips people.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: You still doing it like that? Oh man, how would
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: you in your mind just get up and walk away
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: from me? Listen? Unfortunately I was on stage. There was
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: a heart attack. Really, yes, and this is the sixth
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: time this has happened to me in your career. Yes,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: and uh and I'm glad that people came to the show.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: And when the guy had a heart attack, I was
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: on a bit called um a church bit called left
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: the Church all here man, So the whole audience was
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: praying for him at the same time. And I hope
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: he's okay. I don't know yet, okay, because I gotta
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: watch you because you go serious saventtange and now you
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: just went serious and then I don't know if my
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: audience knew that. Well, I hope I didn't kill that's all.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: But whatever, this guy's okay, God bless him. But we
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: have a good time. We laughed, and it's so important.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I was on the show with Samore, one of the
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: greatest comedians. Earthquake was there, My man Don d. C.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Curry was there, my man um uh As Jake was there.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Just awesome, man, We just had so much, so much fun.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Bruce Bruce was there. Oh my god, that's why we
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: were sold out. And that's great man. So you know
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: when I was going through your bio, you know I
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: could have picked a lot of things. Your career is incredible.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: I've been fortunate to be a part of watching it
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: on TV and experience and as a friend. Six years old, Yes, sir,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: what why do you say it's six years old? You
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: knew you wanted to be a comedian because I would
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: watch Telebion and that was a man named Red Skelton
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: and all of the characters that he did. There was
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: a guy named Milton Burrow that was basically basically, I'd
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: like to give my career to Red Button, Red Fox,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Red Skelton, Pinky Lead. Those are all people of color.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: So I like, that's that's supposed to be a joke.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: We kind of chuckle or something if I do something
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: no money, but I would do those jokes. Would watch
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Tonight Show and I was watching all these coming. Let's
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: also bringing Red Fox in the party records, Jacky Moms,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: maybe Judge Pick, meet Markham. Those are very important. Sometimes
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: we don't talk about those, but we will. Listening to
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: the party records. I'm gonna take them back to school
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: and do those jokes and everybody would be happy. So
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: I found out at an early age when i'm when
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: I see happy people, it makes me happier. And to
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: this day, laughter is the greatest medicine in the world.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: You know, when when he was on the show This Something,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: when you came on, you know, you was really it's
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: almost like you was kind of like mad at how
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: people don't give themselves a shot of being successful. You know,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: it seems like you because you're you're a natural entrepreneur
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: and that means that. But but you said, Richard, and
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: you just don't understand why people don't believe in themselves more.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Why is that? I don't know. I think it's it
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: depends on where you grew up. It could be your
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: rental guidance, that could be your neighborhood, could be your peers.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: It's like, you know, people you grew up with are
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: still in the same predicament they were in when you're
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: left trying to do better, and you can be better.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I said, let's create a great day. Go out there
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: and work on a day. Start your day every day positive.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: I gotta move hey, And I probably said because I'm religious.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: A lot of people say I'm gonna wait on the Lord.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna wait on the Lord. Well, if you sit
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: on the couch and wait on the Lord, you know what,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: He'll sit right there next to you and nothing will
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: be done. You've got to get up and make a step,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: and then over to say you make one step, he'll
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: make too. You got to plan, you got to be
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: if you want to make it. I'm not gonna just
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: say everybody can be successful, but everybody can take it.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Making for making effort, Yes, sir, thank you so much.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: Making effort, because that's what I'm all geared about. That's
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: why I created this show because I always felt that
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to cut out some excuses by making conversations
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: with information. Because people are making an excuse. He said,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: what can we go? Who can we talk to? Who committed?
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: This is a national mentorship because I can't mentor individual
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: because I know a lot of people. You said, would
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: you mentor me? Mr Wallace? Dr Wallace, I'm working, I'm busy.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I got to think. You know what to say about
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: rich people? What did they do? They work? Which people work?
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: So when you say the people have excuses, we call
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: those debut people. I wouldn't do this, but let's let's
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: create this program. But and I don't have enough money.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: But we'll find it somewhere right, right, and so so
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: that's what I took away from that with you was like, Rashaan,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I'm happy to be on your show. I'm happy to
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: tell people that they can win. You can win. I
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: think it started with me, maybe you back in the
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: there's been a culture change in the last thirty years.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: When we were kids and we stayed at at homes
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: with our parents, the we had work ethics, had to work.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: We knew at eighteen you had to get a job
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: or what get out of the house fast mention. If
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: he was male, he was male. No, definitely, if you
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: were you to go, you might be dad as girl,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: he'll keep Peo for a while, but a guy, you
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: got to go. And I have never growing up here
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: in Atlanta, I think all my friends so we did.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: We started working at an early age. When I say working,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: it's like we needed money. We would do simple things
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: like soda bottles, pepsi bottles, coke bottles. We find empty
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: coke bottles. When I was a kid, as Solda on
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the cost. We called a drink down here, enjoyed a
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: drink right, only costs five cents. You take the empty
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: bottle back, they give you two pennies. So what we
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: do we collect bottles? What's what's that a quarter? Even
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: if we made a quarter, because a back of attendships
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: is only a nickel back, then we make money somehow.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Grab I would cut grab newspaper boy, a grocery store,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: walk grocers off to the car for the people. So
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: many different ways to make money. Sell. We sold rags,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: old rags in the household, shirts, made anything to make
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: many coat hangers. Here's a cool thing about when I
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: talked to someone with a career like yours, because I
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: look at you as a businessman, and because they're set
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: back in their games, and sometimes you'll set backs are
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: in public and so and so when I say that
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: might be a show, he's a movie and doesn't do well.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Or I love this show you're starting it made get canceled.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: How does how do you deal with the setbacks knowing
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: that it's in public. Well, that's a friend I think
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: his name is. I know his name is Willy Jolly.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: A second, he's getting a setback, is getting ready for
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: set up, pick up or something like that. But every
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: time you oh, you learned something. So when you learn
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: you continue know not to do that again, but you
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: keep going up the mountain. I like to teach people
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: you don't have to get to the top of the mountain.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Just be on your way up the mountain. Keep going up,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: keep going up. Like I have the greatest career. I'm
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: the most successful person you ever made, you ever met.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: It's not how much money you make, That's how you
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: enjoy your life when you're living. I made enough money
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: to do what I want to do and be what
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: I want to be, go where I want to go.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: I got houses, property. I'm not my best friend of
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Jerry and even want a lot see, but I know
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: God has blessed men to be um like my best
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: friend of Jerry. Sign film the richest Man in comedy.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: We're having a conversation one day, Jerry and uh Anderson
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: Cooper is it to be rich or better to be famous?
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: And I just thought, you know what, I'm right in
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: the middle. I'm better off than both of you. I
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: got nough money to do what I wanta do, good
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: where I want to go, whatever. But I can go pee.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: They can't people buy fruit, right, they can't go pee
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: because why every time they walk out of the house,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: quick click papa. So enough people know me to set
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: this for my little ego. When I'm walking on the street,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: like I said, i still go on stage and do
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: jokes and I'm still having fun. I'm living the dream man.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: Like you won't believe you can actually walk away from
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: your fans. No, I can't do that. And I tell
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: you what, when I go to the show, I love
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: to have fun because I know these people pay my rent, okay,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: And like I said, when I see happy people, that
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: makes me happier. I just love even when I go
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: to church, you know. And I started back, all right, Yeah,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: I had church in this in the stadium last night
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: and that was one of if I just love church.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: People need to laugh to That's those are the main
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: people that need to really get up off their butts
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: and do something serious because they're really that's those are
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: people that gonna wait on the Lord when you sit
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: there and wait on them. And I got my book,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: gut a book in laughing off. That's not your book.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: It was my book because I bought this book. You
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: bought the crazy I've known him for four the years.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: He bought a book that he knows that I could
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: have given no, no, but that support because you sent
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: me T shirts. Okay, but I bought the book. I
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: sent your T shirt. I got T shirts and everything. Well,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: they did it by the state, because they must have
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: that's on my office. You didn't make a payment on
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: another because I charged up everybody. I charged everybody, but
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: they sent me free to expect me to look like
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: you and that night suit you get. Thank you for
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: someone like that at the good Will. You know, the
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: good Will is doing pretty good too, if he doesn't
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: stop right now. Okay, here's the deal. Okay, the reason
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: I brought this book in. This book came my last year,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: and and it's and you should buy and get on
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: Amazon dot com and uh and it had some people
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: who gave you some references, you know, reference on your
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: book saying why you should read what they think of you.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Some people individuals, they put their name on it. And
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: George Wallace has so many wonderful, entertaining stories he needs
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: to share them with the world. Let me tell you
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: said that. Okay, because I wrote the book some time ago.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: That's my great friend and I love him. And his
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: name is Joel old Stein. Did you receive the message today.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: I just love this man. He's so positive thinking. I
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: just I just love him. I just and I defend him.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: You know, people came down on him for Houston. He
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: didn't open the church right. And I told him to
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: tell those people held this church been here for fifteen years.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: You didn't try to get in before. We ain't clean.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: We had clean one. Now you you never got dirty water.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: You're trying to get in. Listen to me because the
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: fact of the matter that the people that come to
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: church doesn't know what it right do to go in.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Then people were in the church. It wasn't Juelstone. It
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: was a day and the people that opened the church.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: You've heard this before. Those people at home taking care
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: of their own property, they were not there. They couldn't
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: get in the church. Episode that was Joel thing. What
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: a great man he isn't uh okay, this is another
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: one because this is like it was like I was like, oh,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: this is just such a wide range of people. Truly.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: One of my favorite people, Donnie Awesome, Oh my goodness.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: He calls me his dad. Yeah, he calls me his
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: dad done him to read in laus Vegas. I worked
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: with them on stage because I had to show in
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Launch Vegas for ten years. And still people don't know.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: I'm the only African American that ever on the show
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: in laus Vegas for ten years, longer than anybody. And
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: that's a blessing right there. I did all of the marketing,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: all the advertising, did everything, boards everything. I had more
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: billboards in the city than the whole season's group. I'm
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: telling you would land at the airport and see his billboard.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: I know he's showing the truth. You should scare me.
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: Here's the thing. I got more. I got more to
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: talk to with Mr George Dr Wallace, So don't go nowhere.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: Thank you for reminding me, Dr Waller. He looked at
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: me when talking about I corrected him mentally. I've telling something.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: He getting all his short y'all, he getting all his
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: short but he's funny. We'll be right back with more
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: laughing off Dr Wallace. My man, uh this book, people
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: got it. I've read this book by fifty times, man

- 1:28:28Speaker 1: goes my baby. Come on, man, put a little Jesus

- 1:28:45Speaker 1: ten am the noon. Besy Loving Naty. Money Making Conversation
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: cool ru Sean mcdonaldas who's speaking on the radio right now.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: Money Making Conversation is the show I produce, created, created.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: I bring friends like Dr Wallace on my show to
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: talk about their careers so they can tell you the
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: secrets of their success. He has a longevity. His has
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: been able to change the game when the game is
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: pictured different. People don't understand that. You know, you have
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: to reinvent yourself constantly, especially in entertainment and in life constantly.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: That's why I'm in the business that I love this business.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: Always out there doing something like we did the movie,
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: We're doing TV parks. Just keep your name out there.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Forty one years I've been doing this and it's been one.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: I met him in New York City when I was
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: up there in eight I moved to New York City
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: and I was catching rising star. Was just young black comedian.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Everybody was up there, sign fail was up there, everybody
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: was gonna stage John stood. Everybody was a dentist, Leary.
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: We were all trying to make but he he was
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: a star back then. He was a star. And uh,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: and he walked in and he uh came out. Stay
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: still try to get on stage. You know, he on stage,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: you know because the White clubs one of the biggest,
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: the biggest White club ever. And you catch your start
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: out on stage, you knew somebody and you will somebody exactly.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: He was on stage a lot and Sheridan an Fani
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: and comedian the only two African Americans. And then uh,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: they were on stage on the regular basis. And he
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: saw me at the bar and I was just because
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: I couldn't get in. I was just trying to get in,
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: get in, get in the dough, and he said, what's
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: your name, young man? I said, Rajan mcdonalfalinus texts. He said,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: hanging there, You're gonna be funny. You're gonna be funny.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: And it was just he just issued that motivation to
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: me without even knowing me. That's what I'm just saying,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: is that you're the type of person that lets everybody
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: know there's an opportunity to be successful. Just stop stop
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: stopping yourself exactly, and and don't be a hater. You
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: know so many people always jumping on other people because
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: they're successful. Who are they successful? I'm funnier than that person.
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Not always about who's the funniest. That is how you
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: carry yourself. And that's what I teach people also in
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: businesses and other people in sales. There's somebody I think
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: everybody's in sales. That's the world. I come from marketing,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: and so whatever you do, you're in sales. Even when
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: I talk to school teachers, you're in sales. You gotta
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: sell this for him to the kids. You've got to
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: sell whatever you do, and it's all about you. When
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: you present yourself the package, greet people with a smile,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: right because there's only reason that somebody should buy PEPs
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: that then cope. But the person that sells it to
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: them with that personal handshake. We don't have that anymore.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: We're texting now, and I told my managed to stop
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: texting people, call them and talk to him personal. Let's
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: go visit people when there's nothing better than checking somebody's
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: hand talking to you people. If we were on the telephone,
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: I'm looking you straight in the eye right now. It's
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: a whole different personic perspective that we have here talking
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: to me, and then I'm not gonna hear you. I'm
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: just gonna hear that. I'm just letting you know. Don't
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: get too close. I will buck you up. I do business.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Let me just tell you I did that talk about
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: the bar in to set up another story about who
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: this man is in eighteen ninety he knows wo I
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: My lawn collapsed, right, lan collapsed, so it's calling normal
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: thorax and they turned and I was in hospital for
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: thirty days. I'm sitting there. You know you're in the
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: hospital with thirty days. There's a lot of people tell
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: people that don't take sick days. I got a friend
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: and accumulated over one of the sick days. I told
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: you all you need thse chances are if you're in
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: the hospital over twenty days, you're gonna die. You were
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: and I'm been changing. My career was taken off. It
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: was taking off. I mean I was doing all the
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: shows and you're in the hospital for thirty days. People
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: forget about you. Phone call rings Hello, did George Wallace?
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: And then right now going how did he give a number?
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: Get out that bad, Get out that bad. People waiting
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: on you on you go to work, Gotta go to work.
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: And that moved me so much because when you're in
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: hospital for thirty days, I'm gonna just tell you just
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: the real statement to say this. You watch people die
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: because you can't be in hospital, because that's what hospital.
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: Either gonna leave or you're gonna die. When you're there
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: for thirty days, you watch people die because you create relationships.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: You go by rule because you didn't got nobody to
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: talk to your talking to the nurses. You know, you
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: go to the rooms, you start meeting people. And for
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: him to just tell me that get out people don't
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: get up, somebody's waiting on you that was motivation that
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: labeled me to be able to say, if he wants
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: me to do something, did I'm gonna do it. But
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: I knew you would do it when I met you.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: And that's why I knew you would do it. We're
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: both doers. That's why I had to call you in
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: the hospital because that's my friend. Even though you said
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: it was a collapse line. I punched him in the chest.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: One man knocked. You don't tell people about that. That's
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: the real reason they left. And right today, I'm gonna
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: set him down the grade. Right now, I'm gonna send
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: them to the CDC. That's the homer. That's what you
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: st to get serious heart he got. Let's talk about
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: that little time career. You gotta. Let's do that. Let's
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: go talk. I don't know why they keep booking you.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: I don't either. They just keep booking and paying me money.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: I don't need no money, but they're gonna pay me.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: They're gonna pay you, big dude, even though he getting
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: shot with age. Yeah, I'm getting older. I'm telling somebody
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: other day, I am so old. I remember when people
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: got fired at work, they would go home and come
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: back to work. They would only shoot one person. That's
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: how old I am now looking young man, that you've
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: got to be older. No that No, they go home,
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: they come out here. You know I was coming back.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: You st But here's the deal, because you had the phone,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: you can hit somebody with to day you gotta cell
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: phone about now you from Atlanta going raised? Oh man, George, Yes,
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: super Bowl just ended. That's last year. Man. The people
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: in Atlanta, if you're listening, y'all were laughing this time
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: last year where you super Bowl and then listen, that
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: was the worst thing they ever happened to me in sports.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: I don't know what any team has ever. Uh, I'm
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: from Houston. You're from Houston, so you know that's yeah,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: yeah that they used to be so bad people what
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: they used to go into Houston or Houston last that
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: they did some stupid stuff and they had a song.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: They couldn't even think. They just had one step We
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: used us don all okay, second stands you do you do?
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: You're doing all the number one some more lyrics. But
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Atlanta and by the way, and the oilers were so
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: bad back in the day. People were going to the
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: stadium ordering hot dogs to go. Now, let me I
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: loved my telephone on because let me just talk about
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: let me just talk about my Atlanta about that. I
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: was in Houston, home in Houston, on Atlanta. So I
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: was watching the game in Houston, okay, because it was
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: Super Bowl, wasn't It was in Houston, great super So
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: it's three half time. He went home. I said, I
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: better buy my airline tickets. I'm gonna fly back, you know,
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: to on Monday morning. I'm gonna fly back, you know
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: so because I know as soon as they win, it
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: won't be an airline ticket to fly back. Okay, So
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: I immedily got on the line called Delta, got my
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: airline tickets. Said yeah, I'm good in the second half, no,
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: the third, the fourth quarter. It's just like I saw
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: it coming. I told people. A good friend of mine,
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: marray J. She was at my house. I threw that
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: line to experiensiveship. I had a big party in my house.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: He said, it's three says we still need two more touchdowns.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: We still I knew that because I said, this is
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: not right. And it's been like that for all of
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: these games in Atlanta. Went to Philadelphia two weeks ago.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: You know, I'm in the downs your first down two
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: yards ago. Somebody should be to crawl and walking up
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: something like that. You go to the ball all three times.
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: You got the greatest run in the world and it
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: was crazy, the highest paid running back. Let's get off.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: Let's get off them, this little sorry career. Somehow people
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: keep booking Burgers, Casey Undercover movies with Morgan Freemer, Tom
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: and Lee y'all. First of all, Bob Burgers. What is that?

- 1:37:06Speaker 1: Americans in television enterte People don't even know this. He's
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: producing it. I think he's getting like over thirty plus

- 1:37:15Speaker 1: that he's Uh, he's got the TV show Funny. You
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: should ask. It's it's a game show. It's for comedians.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: It's like Hollywood Squares. But this, Uh five comedians haven't
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: found an one of the comedians. Yes, do see. I
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: don't have to come I don't have to come here
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: to take this. I'm just how how are you getting
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: all these opportunities? Man, I'm blessed wink. I'm booked for
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: the rest of the year. But I'm actually doing this
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: tour right now that we are on until May. Okay,
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: every weekend we're in some some city. Uh, Saturday night
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: when Dallas, Texas. Uh, Sunday whining the great city of Cleveland, Ohio.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: I'm going to Cleveland. And not too many people go
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: to Cleveland. It's like a hurricane, you know. No, he
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: had the Hurricane Maria and Harvey. Harvey came to your city,
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: said three things that hurricane won't mess with. Hurricane won't
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: go to real, real, real, really rich neighborhoods like Babyhood
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: and Beverly Hills. You never see hurricane there. Hurricane would
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: never never go close to home Depot. You have a hurricane.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: Home Deeople was always open. I don't care if what

- 1:38:35Speaker 1: as well. I did that as well, and I just
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: loved it. And they asked me to do the movie
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: two years back, and I said, no way, I'm doing
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: because I had no lines. I'm not gonna waste my time.
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: Then they coming back too much before the movie, they
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: said it's Morgan Freeman. I said, why the hell didn't
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: you tell me that? I want be First of all,
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: I never liked Morgan Freeman, but in an opportunity to
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: work with I never liked morgana he works all the time. No,
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: I just because all the roles he got. I think
