- 0:00All right, welcome back to another episode of Run Mountain
- 0:02Peaks. 2026 is here. It is the new year, Happy New
- 0:08Year, everybody. And we got a few things to
- 0:11discuss today. Last episode we did kind of a
- 0:16lessons learned from 2025, talked about a few things from
- 0:202025. Today I'm going to go through
- 0:21some of my personal goals for 2026 and we're going to do a
- 0:26little bit of New Year motivation.
- 0:28I think those two together are going to be intertwined.
- 0:32Talk about a few things there and then we're going to talk
- 0:36about the Air Viper Racing team. So I don't know what I'm going
- 0:41to title this, but I applied for the Air Viper Northeast Racing
- 0:44team and I did not get on it. So going to go through my
- 0:48thoughts on why I applied, why I wanted to to get on the team.
- 0:54What do I think about getting rejected?
- 0:56Because I think that's, I mean, ultimately that is what
- 0:59happened, right? I feel like I put myself out
- 1:01there and then they just kind of rejected me a little bit.
- 1:03So that's kind of the feeling from it.
- 1:06So I'm going to talk a little bit about my feelings.
- 1:09I'm definitely not like upset. I actually was not at all
- 1:13disappointed or upset. I just had some some takeaways
- 1:17from that and kind of like the whole process.
- 1:20So we'll have a big conversation and I feel like all of these
- 1:23things like my goals, motivation, it's all going to
- 1:27tie together into one conversation.
- 1:29So hopefully this would be maybe helpful, maybe interesting.
- 1:32And then I mean a little bit talking about my goals.
- 1:36And so I don't know who knows if you guys will like this, but
- 1:40that's what we have today. And I was thinking this may be
- 1:44one of the first episodes where we may have to cut.
- 1:48I may have to get this reviewed so I don't make sure I don't say
- 1:50anything stupid or say anything that's going to get me in
- 1:53trouble. Not that I mean, I don't know.
- 1:57I was thinking like, how much do I have to cut things from the
- 1:59podcast? I feel like every maybe like
- 2:02every other episode something comes out weird or maybe I say
- 2:06something I don't really mean. Or I kind of just like just
- 2:08talking to yourself is kind of hard sometimes just kind of
- 2:11trying to keep a conversation with yourself.
- 2:14It feels like. But so sometimes I have to cut
- 2:18and I remember like, oh, I have to go cut that.
- 2:21But I, I never really listened to the whole thing through.
- 2:24I just in my brain, I'm like, God, I think that that sounded
- 2:26decent. We'll just, we'll throw it out
- 2:28there. But this one, we may have to get
- 2:30a second opinion. Like, is this OK to say?
- 2:34I think there's maybe only been one or two times where I said
- 2:37something that that I really shouldn't have said.
- 2:40And I did cut those out, but yeah, we'll see what makes it in
- 2:45this podcast. And also I was thinking, I don't
- 2:48even know if I should I do this podcast.
- 2:50I'm kind of just like, I don't even know if I should do this
- 2:53podcast. But we're doing it because
- 2:56that's that's what we're doing today.
- 2:58So those are going to be the big things.
- 3:00We're also going to do a Stranger Things deep dive.
- 3:04And I know I'm pretty sure the season finale just came out.
- 3:08I am on the the last episode of season 4 right now, so I'm
- 3:12behind. I'm trying to catch up.
- 3:14So I'm going to do a little bit of Stranger Things recap, deep
- 3:17dive. Who are my favorite characters,
- 3:19some of the shockers from this season because I have a lot of
- 3:23thoughts. They're really enjoying the
- 3:24Stranger Things and I'm just going to, you know, no spoil
- 3:29hope nobody spoil anything for me.
- 3:31Hopefully. I've been sure I haven't seen
- 3:33anything. I'm trying not to get anything
- 3:34spoiled, but I am personally going to spoil up to season for
- 3:39the last episode. So that's just a disclaimer.
- 3:42We spoil everything that I've seen and nobody else spoil it
- 3:45for me. So we'll do that.
- 3:47And then what else do we have here?
- 3:50I have a Brownville Deer pantry. We'll talk about that briefly.
- 3:53And then in a big question mark, I have recite Elf from memory.
- 3:59I don't know if I have it in me today.
- 4:01I don't. We'll see what happens at the
- 4:05end of the podcast, but OK, so we're going to dive into my
- 4:11goals and for this year and we'll we'll start the
- 4:16conversation off there. So what are my goals for this
- 4:19year? I guess we'll take a step back.
- 4:20What are my ultimate running goals that I have?
- 4:23I think the big one of the big driving running goals for me, or
- 4:27I think I have two big driving running goals.
- 4:30The first running goal I have is to be like try to find my
- 4:36potential and I think I've, you know, I got into running a
- 4:42little bit later. I've talked about this before,
- 4:44started really running in 2020, like during COVID is when I,
- 4:48when I started riding zero runs. Up until then I played sports,
- 4:52was in the weightlifting a lot, but started running then And I
- 4:56think over the years I've had some, you know, I kind of, I met
- 4:59some cool people who did ultra stuff.
- 5:01I did a few ultras. I had some success.
- 5:04I liked it. I like getting out in the
- 5:05mountains. I like the longer days.
- 5:08I like pushing yourself, seeing what you're made of.
- 5:11And over the years I think I, I found that I have, I feel like
- 5:15in like I'm a decent ultra runner, mountain ultra trail
- 5:19runner, like I have a little bit of skill.
- 5:21I have passion. I like it.
- 5:23I like the training aspect of it.
- 5:25And and yeah, I think from from the get go, a little bit of a
- 5:30flame was lit like, oh, I like doing this.
- 5:34I want to get better. And so for the past honestly few
- 5:37years, I every day, every week, every month, I'm just trying to
- 5:42get better, get stronger, get faster.
- 5:45I think I came from a non running background, so I have
- 5:50years of base building to catch up on.
- 5:54Like I'm not coming into all of this with 10 years of, of road
- 5:58running or, or cross country or whatever.
- 6:01So I feel like I, I, I've made, that's maybe one of the reasons
- 6:06why I've made a lot of progress the last every year I've
- 6:11improved dramatically from the year before.
- 6:14And obviously you're going to get to a point where as far as
- 6:18like paces and times and stuff, they're not going to come down
- 6:21as dramatically. You can't just keep taking an
- 6:23hour, hour, hour off whatever sort of effort.
- 6:26As you get faster, it gets so much harder to lower your paces.
- 6:32Like going from a 6 minute mile to a 530 on like a 5K or
- 6:37something like that is relatively or we wouldn't say
- 6:40easy, but going from a 5 minute pace to A5 it's 5 or a 450
- 6:47minute pace is probably the same gap.
- 6:49So just gets exponentially harder to get more fit.
- 6:54And so obviously I think my my improvements are unsustainable
- 7:00unless I just start training X amount harder, sacrificing X
- 7:06amount more, recovering X amount better.
- 7:09I think there is the my limit is a lot higher.
- 7:13Like you have a perceived limit and then you have your actual
- 7:15limit. And so I don't want to say like,
- 7:18oh, I'm getting to a point where my perceived limit is, is in the
- 7:22near future. Like I don't think it's, it's
- 7:24anywhere in the near future. So that's my thing.
- 7:27I feel like I, I, I want to keep improving and I just honestly
- 7:31think that my potential is really high.
- 7:34I think it's higher than even I think it is.
- 7:37I know it's higher than I, than my gut maybe tells me it is.
- 7:42So I want to see where that is and when does that happen.
- 7:47I, I don't think that even that's, it's years from now that
- 7:50that's going to happen. And so I, I feel like I'm on
- 7:53this path of just working really hard, loving getting out on the
- 7:58trails for years and years and years to come.
- 8:01And we're going to see how, how fast I can get and what kind of
- 8:04crazy efforts I can do in the future.
- 8:06That's like the primary goal that that always drives me.
- 8:09And what I've realized is as I've kind of progressed and been
- 8:14training harder and training more strategically and getting
- 8:20out of the mountains, maybe in doing efforts more
- 8:22strategically, I actually feel like I, I enjoy getting out more
- 8:26and more. Like I don't think it's, it's
- 8:28ruined my love for the sport. I think my love for getting out
- 8:31on the trails has only been growing.
- 8:33It's like the most it's ever been right now is just getting
- 8:37up north. I love getting out, I love
- 8:39getting up in the mountains. I love feeling fit on the
- 8:41trails. Like feeling fit running up a
- 8:43mountain is the best feeling. And so the ultimate goal is to
- 8:47let's just keep doing this for years and see what happens.
- 8:52So that's goal number one. Now more of like a real goal
- 8:55that is tangible is I want to go to UT MB, I want to go to UT MB
- 9:02and Rocket see what I got at UT MB and that's years in the
- 9:08future. How many years, I don't know.
- 9:10I guess we'll wait and see a couple 234 somewhere in there.
- 9:14Definitely. I think so that's kind of what
- 9:18I'm working towards. And I just feel like the fastest
- 9:23way to get to where you want to go is slow.
- 9:26Slow is the fastest way you slow is the fastest way to get to
- 9:31where you want to go. And I, I really do believe that.
- 9:35And so if it takes 234567 years to, to make that happen, that's
- 9:43what it takes. And I'm, I'm dedicated to it.
- 9:45I'm willing to, to put in that effort.
- 9:49And I said this a bunch of the podcast, everyone overestimates
- 9:53what they can do in a year, underestimates what they can do
- 9:55in five years. So I really have a long term
- 9:58goal of things, but obviously any huge goal you have to make
- 10:03tangible smaller goals and a path to get there.
- 10:07So obviously I have a path with a lot of things to do on that.
- 10:11And what does that include for this year?
- 10:14So for this year, I feel like I have a handful of years under my
- 10:18belt or a few years, 345 years of kind of base building,
- 10:22getting into running under my belt.
- 10:25And I'm still young, I'm 28. I feel like the next few years
- 10:29are going to be focused on getting faster, stronger.
- 10:34Like I don't really want to crush a ton of miles and just
- 10:37destroy my body. Yet I think I'm still young.
- 10:41I think I need to maximize my power output while I can.
- 10:45And then once I get into my 30s, I'll probably transition and
- 10:49stop. You know, I wouldn't say stop
- 10:51trying to get faster. You can get faster for a long
- 10:53time, but then start doing more of the longer stuff and, and
- 10:57grind a little bit more as when my legs are kind of toughened
- 11:01and really start hammering out ultras and and events and
- 11:05training back-to-back to back and all that stuff.
- 11:07So that's kind of how I see it. So this year I don't know if I'm
- 11:11going to end up doing 100 mile effort.
- 11:12I'm probably going to keep it to shorter stuff, maybe 40 to 50 to
- 11:1760 ish miles is what I'm thinking.
- 11:19And so like, what are my goals for this year?
- 11:21I want to start, you know, I haven't raced a ton, but I want
- 11:26to start getting out there and racing with the best of the
- 11:29best, competing with the best of the best, whether that be
- 11:33directly like lining up on the same racism or going after times
- 11:37that, you know, the strongest mountain runners have gone
- 11:40after. So there's a handful of things
- 11:42on my plate this year that I want to go after and kind of see
- 11:46where I stack up on all White Mountain.
- 11:51Yeah, all White Mountain stuff, technical steep stuff.
- 11:54I think that's, that's what I like to race.
- 11:56That's what I'm the best at racing.
- 11:57So that's what I'm going to focus on.
- 11:59So some of the efforts that I, I don't know how it's going to
- 12:01play out, but that I would like to do this year.
- 12:04Hut Traverse, obviously the iconic Hut Traverse, it's like
- 12:08the most well known 4550 miles around.
- 12:12I want to go there and and race that, see what I can put up for
- 12:14a time there. I think another Mahoussic
- 12:17traverse and another one that's in the same kind of category.
- 12:20I mean Pemi Loop, but Mahoussic Traverse a little bit longer, a
- 12:23little bit more gnarlier. I think that's another one that
- 12:26I'd love to go stack my time. I get up against Jeff Colt just
- 12:29went out and ran that one set a new FKT there, Jigger Johnson
- 12:3450, Kilkenny 50. I think both of those I would
- 12:37like to go do those over again and show how much I've improved
- 12:41over the last couple of years. And so I think those are
- 12:46probably the race big efforts that I'm going to target.
- 12:49But this year I guess isn't doesn't have the biggest of my
- 12:53goals. It's going to be kind of like a
- 12:55building year, another building year and as far as race wise.
- 13:00But what I think I did do this year is, you know, if I want to
- 13:04get to where I want to get to, I need to kind of put myself out
- 13:08there and be a little bit vulnerable, like going up
- 13:12against the best of the best. I think eventually, like I was
- 13:16always off social media. Eventually I knew I was going to
- 13:19have to if I do eventually want to go down like a sponsored or
- 13:22some sort of route like that, like pro, try to be a pro trail
- 13:26runner kind of route. You got to put yourself out
- 13:28there. You just can't be like nobody
- 13:30who just is runs around the woods by, by himself all the
- 13:34time. So this year is maybe about
- 13:38continuing my growth and then being a little bit vulnerable,
- 13:41putting myself out there. And I think that's why I, this
- 13:44is one of the reasons why I wanted to start the podcast.
- 13:47I've been off social media for a couple years. 0 nothing, Don't,
- 13:52don't have it. Don't know what's going on in
- 13:54the world. Lots of news stories right over
- 13:57my head. And I think I was finally ready
- 14:03to all right. You know, I, I think I had a, a
- 14:07while where I was, I had to put my head down at work and just
- 14:11put down, put your head down and go do the work.
- 14:15There's no shortcuts in this stuff.
- 14:17You got to go do the work. And that's what I did.
- 14:21I really kind of focused on myself.
- 14:22I wasn't looking at other people's struggle, wasn't
- 14:24looking at other people were doing.
- 14:25And that's kind of what I ended up going for.
- 14:29And I forget that I made it happen.
- 14:32And I haven't done a ton of racing.
- 14:34I've dabbled in a little bit of racing.
- 14:36I did 1 FDT last year, but it's not like I'm going out to all
- 14:39these races and competing all the time.
- 14:42But I knew eventually if I want to do these bigger races and and
- 14:46compete, I need to get that racing experience.
- 14:49And I just wasn't ready for a little bit, but I'm feeling more
- 14:53ready. And so this year started the
- 14:56podcast, putting myself out there being vulnerable.
- 15:01So yeah, I got back on social media for the podcast.
- 15:03I don't really, I don't try not to do any doom scrolling or any
- 15:06scrolling at all, but put myself back out on social media going
- 15:11to sign up for the races and applied for this Air Viper race
- 15:14team. And I think the goal was to get
- 15:20uncomfortable a little bit because when you, I'm on social
- 15:24media, I have this podcast, there is added pressure when
- 15:31you're, when you, when you do something like that, when you
- 15:34put yourself out there, there's added pressure that gets put on
- 15:37you. If you get sponsored, you're
- 15:38running for whoever. There's added pressure there.
- 15:41And I think, you know, sometimes it's, it's comfortable to kind
- 15:46of avoid that pressure. But if you really want to want
- 15:49to get true growth, you have to put yourself in uncomfortable
- 15:53situations. And I just think I'm ready for
- 15:55it. And that's why I'm kind of doing
- 15:57all this stuff. And pressure makes diamonds.
- 16:00That's what they say. Pressure makes diamonds.
- 16:03What do you do when your back's up against the wall?
- 16:06You swing the hardest and either hit it or you miss it, right?
- 16:10Or obviously there's a little bit of in between.
- 16:12But yeah, you really just see what you're made out of.
- 16:16I think the best moments, the biggest moments, the coolest
- 16:19moments in sports, in life, is when the the most pressure is on
- 16:23you. Amazing things can happen.
- 16:26And so I figured this is the time let's start putting myself
- 16:30out there and see what happens. I know when you, whenever you
- 16:35put yourself out there, there's going to be critics, there's
- 16:40going to be criticism. I mean, honestly, social media
- 16:43is insane. Like the amount of impressions
- 16:45and, and people and that have just listened a little bit or
- 16:49seen clips of, of the podcast or whatever.
- 16:51It's super uncomfortable to think of how many people are
- 16:55watching or at least has have looked.
- 16:57And there is a ton of people who are like, I don't like this.
- 17:00This stinks. Who is he?
- 17:02Why does he think he could talk about this, that or the other?
- 17:05Lots of criticism out there and that's fine.
- 17:09That is what it is and it comes with the territory.
- 17:12And it's OK because if you don't do that, what, what is my goal?
- 17:17To just never, never try anything, never have big dreams,
- 17:21never put myself out there. That's not how I want to live my
- 17:24life. I want to try to go for
- 17:27something. And right now I feel like I'm in
- 17:30the process of going almost all in with running.
- 17:34If it doesn't work out, if, if I don't do things that I want to
- 17:38do or say I'm going to do or I get embarrassed or whatever, who
- 17:43cares? I have a dream.
- 17:45I got something that I want to go do that I could do that maybe
- 17:49I could do. I don't it's not even a
- 17:51guarantee. Like I have the the biggest of
- 17:54dreams. I there's no guarantees.
- 17:57There's a good chance that I don't even get close to what I'm
- 17:59aiming at. But it's like you never want to
- 18:02look back and say what if? So I'm going all in.
- 18:05People are going to criticize me.
- 18:06People are going to be against me.
- 18:08People are going to be like, oh, this guy, I'm going to line up.
- 18:10I'm going to try to beat him. There's going to be more people
- 18:12gunning after me. I don't care.
- 18:14I'm ready for it. I want all the pressure.
- 18:17And if I go bust or I hit a home run, I'm going to be thankful
- 18:22that I at least tried and put my all into something, gave
- 18:27everything I had. Because I've just been realizing
- 18:31all of these people that you see who are doing these crazy
- 18:34things, I don't think they're special.
- 18:36I don't think they're different. I think they just put themselves
- 18:39out there and they go for things.
- 18:41And a lot of times they're just working harder than you and
- 18:44they've been doing it for longer than you've been doing it.
- 18:46Like that is just the hard truth.
- 18:48But also they believe in themselves more and they don't
- 18:51care what other people think. They're willing to be vulnerable
- 18:54and put themselves out there. And I honestly, back a few years
- 19:00ago, I would have been one of the people like, oh, it must,
- 19:02you know, must be nice to XYZ have all this time or come from
- 19:07this sort of background or have X or have whatever.
- 19:10I'm I definitely was like that. But now I feel like I've been
- 19:14enlightened and I and I and I see anybody who are putting
- 19:18themselves out there or out of the norm, maybe getting
- 19:21criticism, but also getting lots of praise.
- 19:23And I am like, good, good on you.
- 19:26Like nice, good job. That is awesome.
- 19:29I don't care if I don't like you.
- 19:31I don't like what you're doing out there, but just somebody
- 19:34who's willing to go for it and be vulnerable and put themselves
- 19:37out there. Hats off.
- 19:39I respect the heck out of you now, because I know what it
- 19:42feels like. Only a little bit, but I know
- 19:44what it feels like. And I got a quote.
- 19:47I got a quote here. I want to read it.
- 19:49This this quote gets me fired up.
- 19:51The man. Is this the man in the arena?
- 19:52Yeah. The man in the arena is what
- 19:54it's called. Probably a lot of people notice
- 19:57this, but it's an awesome quote. It's a poem, I think.
- 20:01It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how
- 20:05the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have
- 20:09done better. The credit belongs to the man
- 20:12who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and
- 20:16sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who airs and comes up
- 20:22short again and again. Because.
- 20:24Because there is. No effort without error or
- 20:27shortcoming, but who knows the greatest enthusiasms, the
- 20:31greatest devotions, Who spends himself in a worthy cause, who
- 20:35at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement?
- 20:40And who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while
- 20:45daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those
- 20:49cold and timid souls who know neither, who know neither
- 20:54victory nor defeat. I kind of messed up the best
- 20:57line, but who know it, Let me read that one again at if he
- 21:03fails, at least he, he fails. Oh my gosh, let me read that one
- 21:08again. And at the worst, if he fails,
- 21:11at least he fails while daring greatly.
- 21:14So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls
- 21:17who know neither victory nor defeat.
- 21:20Oh my gosh, heart out of my chest beating.
- 21:26Everybody knows what it feels like when you really, really
- 21:29want something. When you give your all to
- 21:31something or or or and it doesn't work out.
- 21:34You're so you think it's going to work out.
- 21:37You know it's going to work out and then it doesn't.
- 21:39It's gut wrenching. It takes everything out of you.
- 21:42Now imagine you devote not just whatever you're thinking of your
- 21:46entire life, everything, sacrifice, hard work, slut,
- 21:50sweat, blood, tears, everything and it doesn't work out.
- 21:54Oh my God, I don't like that pain.
- 22:00I can't even imagine, but that's the worst that could happen and
- 22:04at least like that is so motivational.
- 22:07At least you know what it feels like to actually go for
- 22:10something all in. And so maybe I start the
- 22:15podcast. Nobody likes it, everyone talks
- 22:17smack. I start my run coaching.
- 22:19Nobody signs up. Nobody believes in me.
- 22:21I say I'm going to do XY and Z. And maybe none of these races
- 22:24pan out. If if that is the case, so be
- 22:28it. That's going to happen.
- 22:29But at least I tried. No one can say that I did not
- 22:32try. And so, yeah, that's that's how
- 22:38I feel about everything. If you got a big goal, if you
- 22:40got a big dream, you got to go for it.
- 22:42Don't make excuses because they say haters.
- 22:47The haters, the critics, anyone who's judging you and all of
- 22:51that hate and criticism that is actually mostly just self
- 22:57reflection or coming from a place of them having not having
- 23:02something that they want. You never meet a hater that's
- 23:05doing better than you right? Like nobody hates down on
- 23:11people. And that's, that's like a big
- 23:13quote, but I think it's, it's so true.
- 23:16And I think when I think back of like when I've had criticisms
- 23:19or, or those kind of thoughts about other people, it's just
- 23:22because I wasn't where I wanted to be.
- 23:24And that's just a bad mindset that is negative energy.
- 23:29And I don't want to be around those people.
- 23:31I don't want to be like I want to be going in the direction of
- 23:38my potential. And I think that negative stuff
- 23:41can weigh you down. Making excuses weighs you down.
- 23:44Must be nicing weighs you down. You got to get rid of all that
- 23:48stuff or you're just putting putting your own negative
- 23:53thoughts on you and you're just going to prevent your own self
- 23:57discovery. And and we talked about like
- 24:01perceived limits, right? Like I really do think I've been
- 24:05told like, oh, you started running late, like it's
- 24:08probably, you know, not really a great chance that you can get to
- 24:11X status of runner. And I think that is just a
- 24:15horrible mindset. I, I, I think the sky is truly
- 24:18the limit and it all just goes into, are you willing to work
- 24:22for it? Do you make daily actions
- 24:27towards your goal and do keep up with that effort day in and day
- 24:31out for years? And are you willing to have the
- 24:34self belief when you're not getting things to keep putting
- 24:36in that work for years and years and years to try to get to where
- 24:40you want to be? That's I think that's where it
- 24:42all comes down to. It doesn't come down to what you
- 24:43have or like genetics or anything like that.
- 24:46It just comes to how hard you're willing to work and how long
- 24:48you're willing to work. And another quote that I wanted
- 24:52to talk about that kind of ties in all this stuff is it's from
- 24:55AJ Cole song. I love J.
- 24:57Cole. I think J.
- 24:57Cole is probably my one like art hype of artist that I always go
- 25:01to for a big workout or a big run or something.
- 25:04But and the offseason. That's the best album.
- 25:07That is the best fire up album. But J.
- 25:10Cole, the climb back at the beginning of the song goes.
- 25:12It's like some like techno voice.
- 25:14It's like, are you doing this work to facilitate growth or
- 25:18become famous? What is more important getting
- 25:21or letting go? And then it all goes into the
- 25:24song. It's like beat drop and I
- 25:27remember this song kind of hit me when I was first starting the
- 25:30podcast and 1st like putting myself back out there.
- 25:33Why am I doing this? Like why am I starting the
- 25:36podcast? Why am I putting myself out
- 25:38there? I think a lot of people when I
- 25:39was like, Oh, I have a YouTube started making videos that like
- 25:42what you're like the total anti social media guy.
- 25:45And I think this was something that kind of hit home.
- 25:49I do not want to be famous. No chance at all.
- 25:53I, I, I do not want to be famous.
- 25:56I'm not doing this for attention.
- 25:58I really like to sit in the back, sit by myself, kind of do
- 26:01my own thing most of the time. And that's really not it.
- 26:05And I think I've had a little bit of internal battle like, oh,
- 26:09this is in some senses, this is not what you would be doing if
- 26:13you were being comfortable. But like I talked about, I am
- 26:17trying to do this to put myself in uncomfortable positions and
- 26:22to try to promote growth, facilitate growth, as Jay says.
- 26:32And, and yeah, I'm really just trying to trying to push myself
- 26:37to be better. I think if you just do the same
- 26:40things to kind of like stay comfortable over and over and
- 26:43over, you're not going to get to where you want to go.
- 26:45And so I'm really trying to do this to put myself out there and
- 26:49try to get to the next level of wherever I want to get to.
- 26:52And I think that the quote, what is more important, getting or
- 26:56letting go? I think letting go, it's, it's
- 27:00like what we just talked about. You have to let go of what other
- 27:03people think, Let go of what other people think is the right
- 27:07path or what you should be doing.
- 27:09I've gotten tons of comments about some of the things I'm
- 27:12doing or, or, oh, you know, you need more balance or you, you
- 27:15need to work. You need, you don't need to work
- 27:17as hard. You don't need stress.
- 27:18You need to take time off all these things.
- 27:20I, I just, I do not think that that is what I need.
- 27:25I think most people have a general path of how you should
- 27:29live your life. And I am not most people.
- 27:32I am not normal. I know this is true and I'm not
- 27:38going to be doing what everyone else thinks I should be doing.
- 27:40And I feel like that's almost a sign of I'm going in the right
- 27:43direction. That's how one of the reasons
- 27:45why I know that I'm going in the right direction and letting go
- 27:52of feeling comfortable, letting go of distractions that are
- 27:55holding me back. I really do think you can
- 27:58control everything in your life. You just have to actively be
- 28:03working towards it. And how many times, how many
- 28:06hours are you on your phone? How many hours are you watching
- 28:08TV? How many times are you being
- 28:10lazy and didn't do this, this or this, which, oh, I didn't do, I
- 28:14didn't clean, I didn't do that, I didn't do laundry.
- 28:16I'll just do that some other time and then some other day
- 28:18when you got to really you should be putting in the
- 28:20training volume. Oh, I can't do this because I
- 28:22have to go do XY or Z or all these errands.
- 28:25It's just overtime. Everything that you're doing in
- 28:28your life compounds and it starts with daily consistency
- 28:31and letting go of what other people think and knowing your
- 28:37path and then having your plan sticking to it no matter the
- 28:42outcomes, no matter of what, if you know you're on the right
- 28:44path, keep on that direction no matter what's happening.
- 28:48And that's what I'm doing. That is what I'm doing.
- 28:51I'm going for it. So some of those, some of those
- 28:54goals, right, Like we talked about some of the goals that I
- 28:57do have, some other goals that maybe I'll keep a little bit
- 28:59closer. But that's really why I'm doing
- 29:01all this and what I want to try to get out of this year.
- 29:06Another last, another little quote here for the motivation.
- 29:10This is Zac Bryant song I was listening to today.
- 29:13Having the upper hand is a myth. You're only fighting.
- 29:17Chance is too stubborn to quit. That's everything.
- 29:20That is everything fall down 99 times, get up 100.
- 29:25It sucks, but you have to keep doing it.
- 29:28You have to just keep grinding no matter what.
- 29:31If you believe in what you're doing and I think having some
- 29:35success, loving what you're doing, being motivated, all of
- 29:39those things are are kind of characteristics of being on that
- 29:43right path. So even if you're not getting
- 29:45the results that you want, if you're having those things,
- 29:47you're still definitely on the right path.
- 29:51So the Air Vibre race team, I applied to it.
- 29:55I did not make it. And obviously after that rant,
- 29:59you probably know why I wanted to apply.
- 30:01I wanted to be around other really strong runners.
- 30:04I wanted to kind of put myself out there more and I wanted to
- 30:08start racing with the best of the best.
- 30:10And that's why I applied. I actually, it was kind of like
- 30:15a last minute on a whim, like I hadn't been planning to apply
- 30:17for a while. I had just made my Instagram
- 30:20again and it had popped up so good marketing on them.
- 30:24But I was like, huh, maybe this is something that I want to,
- 30:26that I want to do. And so I did it.
- 30:28I was kind of on the table like I didn't know actually how I
- 30:32felt about. I was like, oh, do I, It's going
- 30:34to be something else. Like I have a lot on my plate.
- 30:36It's going to be something else that's going to add to the
- 30:38plate. It's going to be more pressure,
- 30:39but I, I, I don't want to shy away from that anymore.
- 30:43And so I was kind of on the fence.
- 30:44Like I, I was obviously excited about it, but I was like, hmm, I
- 30:47don't actually know what I want the outcome to be.
- 30:50And so part of me was like, OK, yeah, you have, no, you have no
- 30:53chance. You haven't been racing that
- 30:55much and you've been off social media for, for so long like you
- 31:00have, you have no chance. But another part of me was like,
- 31:05well, I believe in myself. I believe in my technical
- 31:08mountain skills, you know, all these local races I think I'm
- 31:12competing for a top spot at and I think I should definitely be
- 31:16on the team like so I was kind of split.
- 31:18I didn't know if I was a locker, had no chance.
- 31:20And it seems like I actually had no chance now looking back at
- 31:24it. But yeah, I didn't make it.
- 31:28And so I wasn't really sure totally how I felt about it.
- 31:31Like, you know, something I was going to add kind of maybe some
- 31:34pressure, add some stuff that I'm already got a busy year
- 31:36going on anyway, you know, do I want to add this to the plate?
- 31:39Do I not? But I applied and I figured,
- 31:42well, when they say the results, I'll realize if I, if I how I
- 31:46felt about it. And they put out the results
- 31:48last night and I did not make it and I actually didn't, I was
- 31:53not, I didn't feel any disappointment and I wasn't
- 31:57actually upset after seeing the results.
- 32:01I think after thinking about it a little bit, I, the emotions
- 32:05that I was feeling were honestly one embarrassment just for kind
- 32:11of putting myself out there a little bit in the application.
- 32:13And then just them kind of looking at it, assessing it and
- 32:15then being like, Nope, we don't, we don't, we don't think you're,
- 32:19you're valuable enough or worth it.
- 32:23And then two would just be kind of like chip on my shoulder,
- 32:25like, OK, well, I, I don't actually need them at all.
- 32:29Like I, my plan differs 0%. So I'm just going to still go
- 32:35out there and do the things that they, that I said I was going to
- 32:37do. And, and then we can see, you
- 32:40know, it's just added motivation, maybe we'll call it.
- 32:42So I think, yeah, embarrassment and motivation of the two
- 32:45emotions that I was feeling after seeing the results.
- 32:49And ultimately, I think, you know, I was talking about the
- 32:51Jost and I was like, I really do think that it's just like
- 32:54rejection, right? Like I put myself out there.
- 32:57I said, I'm going to do these things here is kind of what I've
- 33:01done. And and they basically assessed
- 33:05you and they say, no, I don't think you're good enough or we
- 33:07don't, we don't basically want you.
- 33:09And that's just rejection. And it's purest.
- 33:12And so obviously it's never like fun and yeah, I maybe just like
- 33:17felt a little bit, I guess just embarrassed or vulnerable or
- 33:20saying these things because in my, you know, in my head, I
- 33:23totally see like, do I think I should have made the team?
- 33:26No, if I should have made the team, I would have made the
- 33:29team. Like I clearly was not what they
- 33:31were looking for. So I'm, I'm definitely not being
- 33:34like, oh, I should have been on that team at all.
- 33:36Like I, I clearly shouldn't have been.
- 33:38That was not my right path. And I'm I'm going to do my thing
- 33:43because, you know, it's just, I'm not what they were looking
- 33:45for clearly. But what I think about it is
- 33:52like kind of was like, all right, so maybe the racing part
- 33:54piece of it, like I haven't been racing.
- 33:56So they want to see someone that has done a bunch of racing.
- 33:58But I told them like I just started running recently, you
- 34:01know, I plan to really put myself out there and start
- 34:03racing now. And so I guess with no back
- 34:06history, they're like, yeah, we don't really I guess believe
- 34:08this guy. I guess they didn't, you know,
- 34:10like we don't believe he's going to race that much because he
- 34:12hasn't. So that's maybe one thing.
- 34:15And then the other thing would be like the no social media.
- 34:17It asks you like, what's your social media and how many
- 34:19followers? And I, I, I proudly said I
- 34:24started a podcast run mountain peaks.
- 34:26We have about 100 followers and these the few, the proud.
- 34:32And they probably just laughed at that because social media now
- 34:34is like people have crazy followings.
- 34:37So yeah, like I totally see why they didn't want to take me in
- 34:41those things. And then just like the results,
- 34:44like maybe like I just think I'm better than I am, right.
- 34:47Or, you know, like other people don't agree with how how strong
- 34:52of a mountain runner, ultra runner that I am.
- 34:55And so that's the other one. That's the thing like self
- 34:57belief. I'm totally always going to
- 34:58believe myself over it. I mean, the other thing too is
- 35:01the I so the team, it looks like there's seven women and four
- 35:05men. So I don't know how many like
- 35:08spots there were or if you know, if it was kind of a flexible.
- 35:12They just want to take people of value.
- 35:14It looked like there were a couple new guys.
- 35:16So Ben Quantronimo, which who I was talking about, he's a
- 35:20crusher. Not like when I saw his name, I
- 35:22was like, Oh yeah, I don't. He should be.
- 35:23He should be in over me for sure.
- 35:26Just cuz like I talked about earlier, he's just someone that
- 35:28I kind of like looked up to from afar.
- 35:30Just think he's a super strong runner.
- 35:31He always goes out and crushes. But like, he ran 1152 at
- 35:35Kilkenny 50 and I ran 1141. So, you know, he did it I think
- 35:41four or five years ago and I did it two years ago.
- 35:43So it's like, all right. But then I'm kind of like, all
- 35:46right, no, I know that I'm in the ballpark.
- 35:48I know what my skills are. I just got to go out there and
- 35:52show it and, and, and it won't be for Air VAIPA this year.
- 35:57So, so yeah, that's how it panned out.
- 35:59Like I'm actually feeling really good.
- 36:01I think this is what I needed it.
- 36:02I feels like I'm on the right path, but the Arrow vibe thing
- 36:07didn't work out. I didn't hear back from them,
- 36:09which was kind of a little bit, I don't know, a little
- 36:11disappointing. I felt like they, I don't know
- 36:13who knows how many applications that they got.
- 36:15So if they have like 100 applications, it's like it's
- 36:18hard to get back to people. But then I'm just posting a list
- 36:20and not not hearing back from them at all.
- 36:22It was a little bit weird I thought.
- 36:23But we'll see if they get back to me and give any feedback or
- 36:27whatever. Will I apply to their team in
- 36:30the future? Like am I going to try for a
- 36:32sponsor? Like I have no idea.
- 36:35Like I, I do not know how my life is going to turn out,
- 36:39especially with running stuff. But you know, so never say no,
- 36:42never say yes, but I'm not looking like I don't really need
- 36:48the sponsorship. I don't even know how a lot of
- 36:50the sponsorship works. I think there's more money
- 36:52getting into Truro running. But when you first starting
- 36:55getting into that field, like I don't think it's that much.
- 36:57You get a little bit of gear, you get a little bit of race
- 36:59entries, that kind of thing, which is obviously would be
- 37:01nice, but I'm not going to sell like I'm, I'm not going to, I
- 37:06don't need just like external validation like we talked about
- 37:08before by some company or some race organization that, that,
- 37:14you know, I, I like Air Vipin in the White Mountain endurance
- 37:16races are awesome. Love their races.
- 37:18Still going to go to their races and support and run their races
- 37:21and volunteer every year. But like, I don't really need
- 37:25some company telling me that they think I'm valuable or
- 37:27whatever. I'm just going to go show my
- 37:29value. So listen to the podcast,
- 37:32subscribe and yeah, if you want to run coach and go to my
- 37:35website. But yeah, I'm just going to go
- 37:38and do and, and do what I say I'm going to do.
- 37:41And, and I'm not really looking for, I don't need anyone else's
- 37:44approval essentially. Like I know my goals and I'm
- 37:47just going to head down, keep working towards my goals.
- 37:53So that was the Air Viper thing. Yeah, that's all.
- 37:57That's that's all that's all that I have to say about that
- 38:00part. Obviously wish the team the
- 38:02best, like, you know, hopefully they all go out and crush, but I
- 38:07will not be a part of that team. I have no jealousy, no envy, no
- 38:12greed. Like all of those things will
- 38:14destroy a man. I'm not feeling any of those
- 38:17things like I'm just going to, I'm just motivated.
- 38:19I'm going to go and do what I'm going to do regardless.
- 38:22So that's what how I feel about the whole thing.
- 38:25But all right, that was enough race talk, motivation talk.
- 38:31But OK, we're not going to do the elf thing.
- 38:33Maybe that's another day. Brownsville Deer Pantry, just go
- 38:36look at the YouTube channel. It's super fun.
- 38:38I don't know, it's super relaxing to watch at night.
- 38:41Go look at the Brownsville Deer Pantry between the hours of 3:00
- 38:45PM and 6:00 PM and just see what see what it's about.
- 38:50And then the Stranger Things update.
- 38:53So I'm going to do a little Stranger Things talk season 3.
- 38:58I wasn't a huge fan of season 3, was not a huge fan of season 3.
- 39:03I thought there was too much kind of teenage kid drama, you
- 39:09know, teenage romance drama. The bowling stuff in in Stranger
- 39:13Things is insane. It's not uncomfortable to watch.
- 39:16Don't like all this stuff, a lot of teenage stuff.
- 39:19And Hopper was kind of being an ass at the beginning of the the
- 39:24season, like for no reason. You're kind of like, obviously
- 39:26he has his problems, but there was a lot of and then and then
- 39:30obviously it gets good. Like I, I still loved all the
- 39:33episodes, but that was kind of season 3.
- 39:36It didn't lose me a little bit, but it was like, all right,
- 39:38we're getting through some of the stuff, but it was the key.
- 39:41So for anyone who's like at season 5, it was the kids.
- 39:45So the new the New Girl at the Dairy scoop, I'm forgetting her
- 39:49name because I didn't write it down, but the New Girl, we like
- 39:53the New Girl. They find out about the Russians
- 39:55under the mall. They go in there and Stranger
- 39:58Things. It's actually getting more
- 40:00realistic. Like when I first started
- 40:02watching it, it was very much oh these.
- 40:06Alien kind of things aren't really really it was kind of
- 40:08like a men in Black, like, oh, this isn't really real stuff.
- 40:11Like it's all kind of make believe.
- 40:12It wasn't really scary, but it's starting to get more of like
- 40:15horror film kind of scary. And but there's still a little
- 40:19bit of like the timing in so many scenes, like perfect, Like
- 40:22how do they make that out of this?
- 40:24How do they do that? TV timing is perfect.
- 40:26And then the Russians, like, it's so funny when you have
- 40:30Lucas's younger sister, Henderson, and then Steve, like
- 40:35they break in and then the girl break into the Russian thing and
- 40:39there's like Russians walking around anywhere and they're just
- 40:42sneaking behind crates, like not being seen.
- 40:44It's like, all right, what, what are we doing here?
- 40:47But it was fun. The Russian thing is like, what
- 40:50are they doing down there? All these things.
- 40:52And then obviously the mind flare comes, Billy gets, I mean,
- 40:56Billy was about to meet up with Missus Wheeler, although she
- 41:00didn't go. And then he gets mind flared.
- 41:02He's like the king of the mind flare, which again, I think
- 41:06Billy's role, he just played the role really, really well.
- 41:09But the mind flower, they start taking bodies, building this
- 41:12army. It's scary.
- 41:14Billy grabs a hole, L takes her powers, but they still end up
- 41:18beating the mind flare because Joyce and Hopper close the gate
- 41:23and then Billy. Elle loses her powers, Billy
- 41:27saves the day, he beats the mind, Flair let's the kids run
- 41:31free, and then Hopper. Does he die at the end?
- 41:34Who's the American and the Russian prison?
- 41:37It ended pretty good, but we'll talk a little bit more about
- 41:40season season 4. So on season 4, just a few of
- 41:44the items that I think about in season 4.
- 41:46The bullying is sad. They're being really mean to
- 41:48Elle. I don't like it.
- 41:51Jonathan and Nancy's relationship falling apart and
- 41:53then Nancy and Steve's relationship coming back
- 41:56together. I dislike it.
- 41:59I think they're doing Jonathan dirty.
- 42:00He's just out West trying to protect Will and Elle and and
- 42:05Nancy and and Steve are getting a little bit schmitten.
- 42:09Nancy's getting too schmitten. And Jonathan is still the good
- 42:12guy. I mean, Steve is very brave too.
- 42:14We do really like Steve a lot, but I don't like their
- 42:17relationship. That's a development.
- 42:20We'll see what happens. I'm disapproving of Eddie
- 42:23Munson. I actually he's a little bit out
- 42:26there. I didn't like that they wouldn't
- 42:27just reschedule the Hellfire Club meeting for after the
- 42:32basketball game so Lucas could go.
- 42:33But aside from that, I do like Eddie's character.
- 42:36I like his hair. I he's kind of just a little bit
- 42:40of a bad boy after rules kind of person and he's kind of funny
- 42:46and so I do kind of like him. But everyone obviously is
- 42:48hunting him right now and we just want Eddie's name to be
- 42:52cleared so bad. We want one of these murders not
- 42:54really to happen, but to happen when Eddie's not involved.
- 42:57But obviously it's just not how it goes.
- 43:00So everyone's manhunting Eddie right now for no reason.
- 43:03This dude is terrified. He is terrified and they're just
- 43:08hunting him down. The basketball guy sucks.
- 43:11I don't know why every speech that he gives has to be a locker
- 43:15room speech. Kind of pisses me off.
- 43:17I think he's trying to do good, but I think he should.
- 43:20I just dislike him. And they're on the last episode.
- 43:26So the biggest shocker from this season.
- 43:29Oh, and then the the Russian prison hops trying to get out of
- 43:32prison. He sent the message to Joyce and
- 43:35then the Russian spy comes in. And then this was the biggest
- 43:40jaw-dropping moment of me for Stranger Things.
- 43:42Just season. Hopper's in Russian prison and
- 43:48Joyce thinks everyone thinks Hopper's dead.
- 43:51Joyce gets a little doll in the mail and she's like, I got this
- 43:54doll from from Russia. She calls up Murray the the spy
- 43:59guy. I call him the Russian guy,
- 44:00although he's not Russian. He just knows Russia and he's a
- 44:02spy. But he calls Murray and Murray's
- 44:05thinking about it. I love Murray, by the way.
- 44:07But Murray's thinking about it was like, drop the doll, drop
- 44:09something heavy on the doll. So they drop something heavy on
- 44:12the doll and there's a note in it.
- 44:14Hopper still alive. We can arrange to meet to get
- 44:17Hopper to you. And so they go for it.
- 44:21And obviously it's a long winded plan.
- 44:23Are they set running into a trap?
- 44:25Is it going to work? Hopper's working with the
- 44:27guards. So it turns out the plan is
- 44:29true. But how is Hopper going to get
- 44:31out? Is it going to work?
- 44:32Like he's got to escape this crazy intense Russian, Russian
- 44:35prison. And so you just don't know.
- 44:38But they set up, they got this guy who's supposed to meet him.
- 44:42And Hopper's got this plan. He's going to get out X days.
- 44:46So he has this guy break his ankles.
- 44:48He's going to escape the cuffs. And they got this plan and it's
- 44:51a one in a million plan. But he starts doing the plan and
- 44:55Hopper escapes. He he breaks, he gets someone in
- 44:59the shed. He beats a bunch of Russian
- 45:01guys. He jumps on the top of the shed.
- 45:03He gets a snowmobile. He goes, he finds the church, he
- 45:05finds the peanut butter and he's safe.
- 45:07Oh my God, this plan is going to work.
- 45:09Hopper is alive. Now these two just need to go
- 45:12find the the Alaska hell plane guy and get him over to Russia.
- 45:17So they meet this guy Yuri. And at first Yuri was a top
- 45:22three character for me. One of my favorite characters.
- 45:25When they meet Yuri won't do the elf re enactment.
- 45:27This is my favorite Yuri scene. Winona and Murray meet like some
- 45:34warehouse where they're supposed to meet the guy.
- 45:36And it's kind of like some ominous music because they're
- 45:39like, is this a setup? Oh, oh, we don't know.
- 45:42And then a plane door opens and they're like, oh, my gosh.
- 45:45And then some guy with a big, you know, welding mask goes, who
- 45:49are you? And they're like, we're looking
- 45:52for Yuri. And the guys like, why do you
- 45:56want to see Yuri? And they're like, it's kind of
- 46:00secret because I don't know if Yuri knows that they're breaking
- 46:03somebody out. It's the other guys that like
- 46:06some random person, like it's kind of a secret.
- 46:09And he's like, ah, well, you're a day late.
- 46:12Yuri, you see this plane? It was like a damaged plane.
- 46:16Yuri take this plane to go see Polar bear.
- 46:19When he gets there, Polar bear break into the plane and grab
- 46:23Yuri from the cockpit and kill him.
- 46:26And and they're like, Oh my God, and the guys like, and they take
- 46:31you to heart. They destroy his heart.
- 46:33Oh no, no, they stab his heart with a bear claw.
- 46:37And they're like, Oh my God. And then you're just goes I got
- 46:43you. I am Yuri and they're like,
- 46:46what? They're like I got you good.
- 46:49I am Yuri. And then who are you is like I'm
- 46:53Winona and I'm Murray and he's like, oh, Yuri Muri, Yuri Muri
- 46:58haha, see, and they're like, who is this guy?
- 47:01So and he's cracking jokes at the beginning.
- 47:03I love Yuri, but then obviously the plan works out.
- 47:09Yuri is going to fly into. He's flying them to Russia.
- 47:13And then basically you get a call, get the the the the prison
- 47:19guy gets a call on the phone and like what, Yuri, what are you
- 47:22doing calling me? This is insane.
- 47:24This guy is actually from Game of Thrones, a faceless man who I
- 47:27was like, who is this voice? Who do I remember this voice
- 47:29from? He was the faceless man.
- 47:32But yeah, he calls from the phone and and he's like, why you
- 47:38cannot be calling me here? This is stupid.
- 47:39What is going on? He's like, we had a change of
- 47:41plans and you're like, what happened?
- 47:43He's like, well, I got your American friends to Russia.
- 47:47But I figure you know what is better than $40,000?
- 47:52Selling to Americans, to traders, to the Russia and
- 47:57snitching out a a snitch guard. So sorry, but I turned you all
- 48:05in bye bye. And I jaw-dropping.
- 48:10So he takes these two prisoner. They they rush into the church
- 48:14that hops in eating peanut butter.
- 48:16They get hopped and then they get the guard that was trying to
- 48:19break them out and it's like, Oh my gosh, trying to get hop out
- 48:24the whole plan. Double, triple, quadruple
- 48:27backstabbing. It was heartbreaking so F Yuri,
- 48:31but also I still like Yuri's coming back in my mind, but I
- 48:35was so pissed like that pissed me off so much.
- 48:38But then obviously right now they kind of escaped because
- 48:42Hopper beat the the little upside down creature and they
- 48:46broke out TV timing. Murray and Joyce go in there.
- 48:50Joyce, that's her name. Joyce go in there and they break
- 48:54out and right now season and then the Elle returns to the
- 49:01desert and they find Papa who I don't know how Papa's still
- 49:04alive. We don't know.
- 49:05I thought he was dead but he's still alive.
- 49:07Trying to get Elle her powers back.
- 49:09They just got her powers back and she's going to save the day
- 49:13in season in the last episode and the last episode it is a 2
- 49:211/2 hour episode shout out Stranger Things.
- 49:26I feel like most finales, maybe the Bay hit a little bit longer,
- 49:30but 2 1/2 hours, it's like I got to watch a movie right now.
- 49:35So going to watch that. We'll see what happens at the
- 49:37end of Stranger Things Season 4, but that's what's going on.
- 49:41That's where I'm at. I have no idea what's happened
- 49:43to Stranger Things 5, but we will see.
- 49:47I have no idea how it's going to end.
- 49:49Like we just learned about 1 being in the Upside Down.
- 49:52He's like the guy who's controlling everything.
- 49:54Vecna. I literally woke up in the
- 49:56middle of night. The other dream, thinking about
- 49:58middle of night, thinking about Vecna.
- 50:00Like, I need to get over Stranger Things so I can start
- 50:02sleeping better again. But yeah, that was the season 4
- 50:07recap. And all right, right now my top
- 50:10three favorite characters, Dustin Henderson.
- 50:14He is so funny. Shit, he is so funny.
- 50:17I just think he's always hilarious.
- 50:19He's got good time with things and he throws in some jokes.
- 50:22I like Dustin. Steve is a is probably a top
- 50:25three character. I can't believe it forgot
- 50:27Steve's name at the beginning, but Steve, we like Steve so
- 50:30brave is just willing to just go.
- 50:33We love Steve. And then Yuri.
- 50:37No, you're not in the top three, but I do think Yuri is so funny.
- 50:40He's still cracking jokes. But I think probably, obviously
- 50:44Elle is probably in there. Like Elle is the best when she
- 50:47comes back kicking butt. Oh my God, the best feeling.
- 50:50And then Murray. I really like Murray.
- 50:53I think a lot of times Murray with this black belt karate
- 50:56thing, he's like, I don't know, kind of a goof sometimes, but
- 51:02he's kind of a weirdo. But I think he is living like, I
- 51:05think he's scared a lot. But I think he loves he loves
- 51:09everything, breaking codes, breaking into places.
- 51:12He looks like he's scared. He doesn't want to do this.
- 51:14We can't go in there, Joyce. But I do think he loves it and I
- 51:17think he's funny. He had a pretty good year
- 51:19impersonation when they were going into the prison.
- 51:21But those are my top three characters.
- 51:23Maybe we'll do it after we'll eventually do a full breakdown
- 51:28of all the characters, all the different things that I like
- 51:30about Stranger Things. But but yeah, that's that was
- 51:37the Stranger Things updates and that's what we got for this
- 51:39week. Yeah, this week we did have to
- 51:44cut some things out, not because actually I didn't say anything
- 51:46bad, but just because it got a little bit rambly this week.
- 51:48But appreciate everybody listening.
- 51:51We got, I don't think this next week, but the week after that,
- 51:54hoping to have a guest on which will be exciting and lots of so
- 51:59the first lots of races this year.
- 52:01So I've compiled the list of all the races, the ultra races in
- 52:05New England and some of the shorter distance mountain races.
- 52:08And every week at the end of the episode, I think I'm going to
- 52:11put in race results segments. And so starting next week, we're
- 52:16going to have race results segments in there was the Cobbs
- 52:20Cook Winter 20 K got delayed until next weekend, which was
- 52:25the only one that was happening on the 1st today.
- 52:29The Gills fat Ass 50K, which is now, which just got taken over
- 52:35by TARC. And I think they're calling it
- 52:37some sort of what are they calling it?
- 52:40I think I have it here. Hold on.
- 52:47Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. I may have to cut this bark
- 52:49through cut, cut, cut. OK.
- 52:51The yeah, Gills Athletic Club Faddis 50K, which would takes
- 52:53place today on the 3rd is now the Tark Yeti Trail Trot 50K.
- 53:00And so next week we'll report on the results on that because I
- 53:03don't know if they're out yet. And then we'll just start doing
- 53:06race results, just reporting on all the races.
- 53:10And yeah, we'll do the regularly scheduled program weekly podcast
- 53:13this year. And there's a there's a lot of,
- 53:16there's a lot of things that I'm excited for this year.
- 53:18So, and the podcast, one of them.
- 53:21Oh, also, yeah. So I mentioned it a little bit
- 53:23and I've mentioned it a couple times, but I am officially, I've
- 53:26launched my, my website, updated my website.
