- 1:43Speaker 3: got to turn mouth, turn out the word the mon jo.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 6: Come on, you'll think, uh huh, I shall will Good
- 2:03Speaker 6: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig
- 2:07Speaker 6: me now one it only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay.
- 2:16Speaker 6: I want to talk to you today about success. But
- 2:22Speaker 6: I want to talk to you about it like I
- 2:25Speaker 6: usually do in terms of a principle of it, but
- 2:29Speaker 6: I want to share something with you about it. And
- 2:33Speaker 6: I was talking to my daughter about it. I've talked
- 2:37Speaker 6: about my son in law about it, talked about it
- 2:39Speaker 6: with all my children, and I'm really starting to express
- 2:42Speaker 6: it to them now because I'm talking to a wide
- 2:45Speaker 6: range of people constantly. But I want to share something
- 2:48Speaker 6: with you. If you have any aspiration of being successful,
- 2:54Speaker 6: I want you to realize, starting right now, the effort
- 2:58Speaker 6: that is going to require. And that's why I think
- 3:01Speaker 6: it stops a lot of people. I think a lot
- 3:04Speaker 6: of people are never told or don't understand the sheer
- 3:09Speaker 6: effort that it takes to become successful at anything in
- 3:13Speaker 6: any area of your life. If you think that doing
- 3:16Speaker 6: your best is enough, that I got news for you.
- 3:20Speaker 1: It's not. Well, Steve.
- 3:24Speaker 6: What if you've done your best, though, and your best
- 3:27Speaker 6: ain't good enough? Well, let me ask you that same question.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 3:32Speaker 6: If you want to be successful and you've done your
- 3:35Speaker 6: best and best isn't good enough? What you threw that's it.
- 3:39Speaker 6: But Steve, it was my best. No, no, no, no no.
- 3:42Speaker 6: It was the best you had at that time, in
- 3:45Speaker 6: that particular day. But tomorrow adds something to it.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You've never done everything.
- 3:53Speaker 6: There is no you can't go no more, you can't
- 3:57Speaker 6: add no more. I've seen marathon end up crawling across
- 4:02Speaker 6: the line. I've seen triathlone people man just staggering in
- 4:05Speaker 6: the street and didn't want nobody to help them because
- 4:09Speaker 6: they knew they would disqualify them from the race. You
- 4:12Speaker 6: got more? Have you ever dipped into your reserve tank?
- 4:18Speaker 6: That's what we're talking about now. See all of us
- 4:22Speaker 6: have a reserve tank, you know. On my ranch, I
- 4:26Speaker 6: like to ride four wheelers. I have all terrain vehicles,
- 4:29Speaker 6: and all of them have a gas tank on it
- 4:32Speaker 6: and a gas tank and most of mine, let me
- 4:34Speaker 6: see all of them. Yeah, all of them have gas
- 4:36Speaker 6: tank needles on them, and it lets me know. When
- 4:40Speaker 6: I get down towards eight, there's a little lane that's
- 4:44Speaker 6: red that lets me know. Okay, Steve, you're in the
- 4:46Speaker 6: danger zone. Now you're riding into the lowest part of
- 4:50Speaker 6: your tank. But if I keep riding and I forget
- 4:53Speaker 6: to get some gas in there, guess what when it
- 4:56Speaker 6: runs out of gas.
- 4:58Speaker 1: All of my.
- 4:58Speaker 6: All terrain vehicle, all of them, Honda Polaris, all of them.
- 5:04Speaker 6: Those are the makers. There's a button on the gas
- 5:08Speaker 6: tank itself that I can click and it says reserve.
- 5:13Speaker 1: That means they know.
- 5:15Speaker 6: That for the hard core riders, they're gonna ride somewhere,
- 5:19Speaker 6: they're gonna get themselves in a situation and they're gonna
- 5:22Speaker 6: run out of everything. They're gonna run out of road,
- 5:25Speaker 6: they're gonna run out of gas. They've prepared because they
- 5:29Speaker 6: know for the hard core rider, every hard core rider
- 5:32Speaker 6: needs a reserve tank. And so there's a button that
- 5:36Speaker 6: you can click on the gas tank that clicks it
- 5:39Speaker 6: into a reserve and it'll give you about fifty miles
- 5:43Speaker 6: or twenty miles worth of gas in that Now, guess
- 5:47Speaker 6: what in that reserve? That may be all you need
- 5:51Speaker 6: to get you the where you're going, or get you
- 5:53Speaker 6: back to safety so you can refuel. Don't tell me
- 5:57Speaker 6: you've done your best. When your best, don't cut what
- 6:00Speaker 6: you're gonna do. See when best is possible, then good
- 6:06Speaker 6: enough ain't enough. See that's good enough. But if the
- 6:10Speaker 6: best it is possible, why would you not shoot for that?
- 6:12Speaker 6: And you you are all capable of making it. But
- 6:16Speaker 6: you've got to change your mindset and realize the effort
- 6:20Speaker 6: that has to be put forth in becoming successful. You've
- 6:24Speaker 6: got to do it relentlessly, over and over and over
- 6:28Speaker 6: and over and every day. I try to do something
- 6:31Speaker 6: to progress my life for the better. I try to
- 6:34Speaker 6: do something every day. I wake up every day with
- 6:37Speaker 6: the plan. Some phone calls, some meetings, some some some
- 6:41Speaker 6: some interviews.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Something.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Man, that's going to advance and move the brand forward.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Because here's what's gonna happen. You are Let's say you
- 6:49Speaker 6: reach your goal. Let's say your goal is to make
- 6:52Speaker 6: now one hundred thousand dollars. Well, I got news for you.
- 6:57Speaker 6: Listen to this. When you make the one hundred thousand dollars,
- 7:02Speaker 6: you can't go nowhere and go on vacation and put
- 7:04Speaker 6: your hand behind your head and say, I made one
- 7:06Speaker 6: hundred thousand dollars. Guess what you got to do. You
- 7:09Speaker 6: got to find a way now to maintain that one
- 7:12Speaker 6: hundred thousand, to keep it coming in. See, you can't
- 7:16Speaker 6: just get there and stop and rest and whoa. It
- 7:19Speaker 6: is harder to maintain your success than it is to
- 7:23Speaker 6: get successful.
- 7:25Speaker 1: See. Let's say, let me show you this. Suppose it
- 7:27Speaker 1: takes you.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Five to eight years to find a way to make
- 7:35Speaker 6: fifty thousand dollars.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Let's say it takes you.
- 7:37Speaker 6: Five to eight years to find a way to make
- 7:40Speaker 6: an extra fifty thousand dollars, and you finally, through work
- 7:43Speaker 6: and effort, you get to the fifty thousand dollars.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Math it's only just begun.
- 7:51Speaker 6: Now because guess what, in order to keep the fifty
- 7:54Speaker 6: coming in, you gotta duplicate what you did to get there.
- 8:00Speaker 6: And then, oh, here's what you're going to have the
- 8:02Speaker 6: audacity being a human being. You're gonna want another fifty
- 8:07Speaker 6: because you're a human being, Because you gotta have something else.
- 8:11Speaker 6: To shoot for Now you're gonna want another fifty. Well, now,
- 8:14Speaker 6: I guess what you gotta do now, Now you gotta
- 8:16Speaker 6: do what you did before. Fuck plus you gotta come
- 8:18Speaker 6: up with something else. Then after that you're gonna have
- 8:22Speaker 6: the audacity because you're human, You're gonna want another fifty.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Says how this works?
- 8:29Speaker 6: And see that that's the importance of your relationship with God,
- 8:34Speaker 6: because you're gonna constantly need it. It ain't have a
- 8:37Speaker 6: point where you're gonna be through needing it. But that
- 8:39Speaker 6: ain't gonna become a point in your life where you're
- 8:41Speaker 6: going through. Won't be through, won't nothing unless you then
- 8:44Speaker 6: just gave up. And if you done gave up, who
- 8:46Speaker 6: wants that? Come on, y'all, this is going to take
- 8:51Speaker 6: quite a bit of effort, and if you think it'll
- 8:54Speaker 6: come to you any other way, you're sadly mistaken. Because
- 8:58Speaker 6: of all the successful people I know, I know that
- 9:01Speaker 6: the effort they put out on a daily basis is daunting,
- 9:04Speaker 6: and I think that the average person just doesn't understand
- 9:07Speaker 6: the requirement of time and effort that it takes to
- 9:10Speaker 6: get that and willingness to put it out. You got
- 9:13Speaker 6: to cut a lot of monkey business out your life.
- 9:17Speaker 6: All that hanging out, all that late and all that
- 9:20Speaker 6: club and all that drinking, all that you gotta cut
- 9:22Speaker 6: a whole lot of.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Monkey business out to be successful.
- 9:25Speaker 6: Man, If you're planning on being successful, get up early,
- 9:31Speaker 6: stay up late, work, try, think, meet, greet, smile, attract.
- 9:38Speaker 6: It takes a lot, let's go, but you can do it.
- 9:40Speaker 6: God is pressed to passing out blessings all day long.
- 9:44Speaker 6: Why are you not in line for yours? I'm telling
- 9:46Speaker 6: you right now, I want everything God got for me
- 9:49Speaker 6: because what he's shown.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Me so far. Who if he got some moke man
- 9:53Speaker 1: or man? How good is God? Huh?

- 15:05Speaker 5: Really okay, okay, well you know it's a lot smoother
- 15:09Speaker 5: than I expected.
- 15:10Speaker 10: Player, man, it is what it is.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It is what it is.
- 15:15Speaker 5: I mean, long as long as you, long as you cool,
- 15:17Speaker 5: I thought, you know, I just want to be a
- 15:19Speaker 5: man called and how I let you?
- 15:20Speaker 1: Let you know? Have you seen her today? And where
- 15:23Speaker 1: are you from Jersey? I'm up around Newark.
- 15:27Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean you said it's a lot smooth than
- 15:30Speaker 10: you thought it was gonna be.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Well, you know, anytime something another man from the call,
- 15:34Speaker 5: another man by his wife, I mean, yeah, you don't
- 15:36Speaker 5: expect it to be nothing. You know, pretty simple, that's
- 15:39Speaker 5: for sure. I didn't contemplate it a long time by
- 15:42Speaker 5: calling you, so you know today I just said to
- 15:44Speaker 5: hell with it.
- 15:46Speaker 1: So I've been had your number. I had your number
- 15:49Speaker 1: a long time.
- 15:54Speaker 10: Sorry, Now you say you're looking, Uh, it's a lot
- 15:56Speaker 10: smooth than you thought it was gonna be. It ain't
- 15:58Speaker 10: that smooth. But you know you don't you know, like
- 16:02Speaker 10: the thing is, you got one up on it because
- 16:04Speaker 10: you know my information. Now I'll come for you.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Okay, wait, wait, wait, hold up now good? You feel
- 16:10Speaker 5: like hold up because you feel like you need to
- 16:14Speaker 5: be looking for me or something. Brother, Look look at it.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Let's check this out. This is a decision that the
- 16:20Speaker 5: wife has made you understand what I'm saying. See, you
- 16:22Speaker 5: have no reason to be mad at me about anything.
- 16:25Speaker 5: You have no reason to be coming looking for me
- 16:27Speaker 5: or any information on me, because see, when that happens,
- 16:30Speaker 5: then it's gonna really get stinky up in here.
- 16:32Speaker 1: And I'm trying not to let that happen. That's why
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm calling you like a man. Brother.
- 16:36Speaker 10: Trust me, Fan, it ain't nothing that I'm never worried about.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Okay, Well, I'm just letting you know, man, I'm letting
- 16:41Speaker 5: you know up front. She with me and her contemplated
- 16:43Speaker 5: a long time. Yalla, YadA, So now you know here
- 16:46Speaker 5: we are. So I said, you know, what the hell
- 16:48Speaker 5: with it, I'm calling today, y'all.
- 16:51Speaker 10: Should diet this on the phone together out of respect
- 16:53Speaker 10: that both y'all a lot more.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Okay, Well, you know, and then you know, if that's
- 16:56Speaker 5: what it's got to be, we be face to face together,
- 16:58Speaker 5: whatever it's got to be.
- 16:59Speaker 10: Man, So I prefer you know.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Okay, So, but let me ask you this, where is
- 17:04Speaker 5: going there? Once we both staying flat footed and tell
- 17:07Speaker 5: you how it.
- 17:07Speaker 10: Is, then what I ain't gonna never be flat footed?
- 17:11Speaker 5: Okay, well flat footed upside down any way you want
- 17:15Speaker 5: to look at it.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Broh.
- 17:16Speaker 5: I'm trying not to get into this physical part, but
- 17:18Speaker 5: it seemed like you leaning that way with me.
- 17:21Speaker 10: It could be what up? You know, it could be
- 17:22Speaker 10: on this side of the dirt on the other side.
- 17:24Speaker 10: It don't make a difference.
- 17:25Speaker 5: It never does, brother, It never does. When two bulls
- 17:28Speaker 5: come together, one of them got to go down.
- 17:31Speaker 10: Now, guess what we are doing? Too much talking? You
- 17:33Speaker 10: got my information? Guess what now? I'm brot loaded one
- 17:36Speaker 10: hundred for you.
- 17:36Speaker 1: You lock and loaded.
- 17:38Speaker 10: There's no need for you to say, there's no need
- 17:40Speaker 10: for us to discuss anymore.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Okay, cool?
- 17:42Speaker 5: You know matter while we're at it, Man, let me
- 17:44Speaker 5: go and drop it all on you then, because it
- 17:47Speaker 5: seemed like we need to go and get it all
- 17:49Speaker 5: out the way.
- 17:50Speaker 1: You cool. You know what I'm saying.
- 17:52Speaker 5: I think you need you know, matter of fact, if
- 17:54Speaker 5: you want to just keep it all the way real,
- 17:56Speaker 5: you might want to go take a blood test about
- 17:58Speaker 5: Alana and make sure you to pop.
- 18:00Speaker 1: But to that all right, feel me? Got it? So?
- 18:07Speaker 5: Uh, I'm gonna have your wife get your call man,
- 18:10Speaker 5: cause we didn't contemplate it too long at it's time.
- 18:12Speaker 10: Yeah, you do that. You know my information. Like I said,
- 18:15Speaker 10: you you said enough, You hit enough bones there. Now
- 18:17Speaker 10: I'm really older on a hunting for somebody. So you
- 18:20Speaker 10: know what I mean, somebody got to go.
- 18:23Speaker 1: What you mean? You what?
- 18:25Speaker 5: What's all this? Somebody got to go? What you're saying,
- 18:28Speaker 5: somebody got to go go? Like, okay, you're talking about
- 18:32Speaker 5: either me or you. One of us got to go
- 18:34Speaker 5: because you saying the wrong thing. Cause what you must
- 18:36Speaker 5: understand is if I've given you as much information as
- 18:38Speaker 5: I already have, that means I have enough information to
- 18:40Speaker 5: know where you are. Brother, you know nothing about me
- 18:43Speaker 5: norway I reside. So if you're gonna talk about lock
- 18:46Speaker 5: and load, then somebody got to go. Then you saying
- 18:48Speaker 5: it to the wrong person. Cause I'm already up on
- 18:50Speaker 5: you player.
- 18:51Speaker 1: You gotta talk.
- 18:52Speaker 10: First off, you ain't really annoyed because it got a

- 20:46Speaker 1: thank you, Sheriff Strawberry.
- 20:48Speaker 2: All right, nephew, coming up next and is ask the
- 20:51Speaker 2: clo or Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey is in the
- 20:54Speaker 2: building right after this.
- 20:56Speaker 7: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 21:00Speaker 2: All right, guys, time now for us the clo.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 21:04Speaker 2: This one is from Cecil in Saginaw, Michigan. Cecil Rights.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I'm a seventy year old bachelor and I swore i'd
- 21:12Speaker 2: never get married, but now I'm in love with a
- 21:15Speaker 2: younger woman and she's threatening to leave me if I
- 21:19Speaker 2: don't get my act together. See, I have another problem too.
- 21:23Speaker 2: I have a very controlling daughter and she will be
- 21:26Speaker 2: wealthy after I pass away. She's my everything, and I
- 21:30Speaker 2: know she will fight over my assets, especially because she
- 21:33Speaker 2: thinks my girlfriend is only with me for the money.
- 21:37Speaker 2: She suggested I get a prenup if I decide to
- 21:40Speaker 2: marry this woman.
- 21:41Speaker 8: What should I do?
- 21:42Speaker 6: CLO, Well, go on and get a prenup because on
- 21:47Speaker 6: how much younger this woman is.
- 21:48Speaker 1: But if you seventy damned everybody you meet from.
- 21:51Speaker 6: Younger as could be, that covers a wide range of people, cecil,
- 21:57Speaker 6: and so I'm most assuming all that she is quite younger,
- 22:01Speaker 6: and your daughter's a little bit aggravated by it, and
- 22:05Speaker 6: I think you can understand that.
- 22:06Speaker 1: But your daughter is your everything.
- 22:08Speaker 6: So if the woman really loves you for your love
- 22:11Speaker 6: and not for your money at this age difference, she
- 22:14Speaker 6: would understand that you want to leave everything to your child,
- 22:18Speaker 6: and so that makes sense. But she's threatening to leave
- 22:22Speaker 6: you if you don't get yourself together. How she wants
- 22:25Speaker 6: either one or two things. She wants you to get
- 22:28Speaker 6: your daughter under control, or she wants you to handle
- 22:31Speaker 6: your business and hand it over to her. Those are
- 22:34Speaker 6: the only two things I could think she's telling you
- 22:36Speaker 6: to get yourself together, she gonna leave you. And then
- 22:39Speaker 6: the words of someone. I don't know whether this phrase
- 22:43Speaker 6: came from, but the two words are by and Felicia,
- 22:48Speaker 6: and you can apply those. And because I'm pretty sure, yeah,
- 22:55Speaker 6: I understand that you got, you got, you can do
- 22:58Speaker 6: you could, you can get somebody else.
- 22:59Speaker 1: That's good.
- 23:01Speaker 2: All right, We're moving on. Tabitha and Philly says, I'm
- 23:04Speaker 2: a thirty four year old married woman and I need
- 23:07Speaker 2: your advice. My husband works downtown and I work from home.
- 23:11Speaker 2: On Friday, I ran to the dry cleaners and I
- 23:14Speaker 2: saw my husband's car. I expected him to be in
- 23:17Speaker 2: the cleaners, but instead, his assistant was inside at the counter.
- 23:22Speaker 2: She told she turned bright red when she saw me,
- 23:25Speaker 2: and I told her to give me the car keys
- 23:27Speaker 2: and Colin Uber. My husband was very upset and asked
- 23:31Speaker 2: me to apologize to his assistant. I told him that
- 23:35Speaker 2: would never happen. Do you think I overreacted about this?
- 23:40Speaker 6: Well, you didn't know why the assistant had the car
- 23:47Speaker 6: down at the cleaners.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Was obviously to pick up some cleaning. I must assume me.
- 23:53Speaker 6: He wasn't down there. They wasn't at a hotel. He
- 23:57Speaker 6: gave it a car to go down there to pick
- 23:59Speaker 6: up his dry cleaning. You done came in all gangster,
- 24:04Speaker 6: get an uber, Give me the damn car keys. Now
- 24:07Speaker 6: you got what you wanted. You got the car keys.
- 24:09Speaker 6: Now your husband on set. What did your husband do?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Well? You be scared to somebody wife walk in? You
- 24:19Speaker 1: got the keys? Yeah, sound like a white woman, right,
- 24:31Speaker 1: like white woman. I'm telling you that.
- 24:34Speaker 6: I know one thing she got asking that you uber.
- 24:38Speaker 6: That wasn't no arguing about the keys. She had her
- 24:42Speaker 6: that kid and got right in it.
- 24:44Speaker 8: But you're saying you think the wife overreacted.
- 24:48Speaker 6: I do, but I also understand her position. But she
- 24:54Speaker 6: jumped to the conclusion without note of the proof other
- 24:58Speaker 6: than she had the keys to the car.
- 25:00Speaker 8: She should apologize.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Yes, all right, here we go.
- 25:04Speaker 8: It'll happen, right, yeah, all right?
- 25:07Speaker 2: Moving on. Molly in Tupelo, Mississippi, says, I'm a twenty
- 25:11Speaker 2: nine year old single mother and my boyfriend of five
- 25:13Speaker 2: years just moved in with a guy I slept with
- 25:16Speaker 2: last year. I slept with a guy while my boyfriend
- 25:20Speaker 2: was deployed last year. He works with a guy now
- 25:23Speaker 2: and they decided to be roommates so my boyfriend can
- 25:26Speaker 2: save up to buy a house. My boyfriend can't live
- 25:29Speaker 2: with me because my son's father won't allow it. Do
- 25:33Speaker 2: I tell my boyfriend that I had sex with his roommate,
- 25:36Speaker 2: or pray it never comes up?
- 25:39Speaker 1: Better, get to pray out.
- 25:42Speaker 6: Don't walk that information in the door that you slept
- 25:46Speaker 6: with him while he was deployed.
- 25:50Speaker 10: You know.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Listen to me.
- 25:53Speaker 6: There's a saying that everything comes to light. That's not true.
- 26:01Speaker 6: That's just not true.
- 26:05Speaker 1: So don't start bringing everything to the light. Turn that
- 26:09Speaker 1: damn light off.
- 26:10Speaker 6: Right sometimes sometimes in our lives, and all of us
- 26:15Speaker 6: have benefited from it. There's a thing that we all
- 26:18Speaker 6: been from benefit from called grace. And but by the grace, somehow,
- 26:23Speaker 6: some things are not allowed to be known about you,
- 26:27Speaker 6: and that's some grace and favor. You should be the
- 26:31Speaker 6: beneficiary of that as long as you can.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Don't walk nothing in there and tell it that they
- 26:37Speaker 1: don't know.
- 26:40Speaker 6: And these are some famous words. Shut your damn mouth.
- 26:50Speaker 6: I don't know who that quote is from, but shut
- 26:57Speaker 6: your damn mouth. It is one of my I don't
- 27:01Speaker 6: know who the tribute that to, but I love it.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Man, all right, all right here we go.
- 27:12Speaker 2: All right, one last one, Shay, you have one?
- 27:16Speaker 11: No, I just I just wanted to add to what
- 27:19Speaker 11: he's saying about.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Shut your damn mount. It's very important.
- 27:23Speaker 11: If you have information that somebody doesn't know, don't give
- 27:26Speaker 11: it to them. Just willy nilly, What the hell would
- 27:29Speaker 11: you do that for? That is just stupid, That's all
- 27:33Speaker 11: I had to say.
- 27:34Speaker 1: That's dumb as hell. They don't know you. I mean,
- 27:39Speaker 1: they don't know and you're telling them. Damn, that's dumb.
- 27:42Speaker 4: That is just dumb.
- 27:46Speaker 8: This is where we went through.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Many man, But why and who all deployed in Tupelo.
- 27:57Speaker 2: But honesty. Some people believe in honesty, you know they

- 29:22Speaker 6: I'm trying to be encouraging. But if you think that

- 30:42Speaker 1: That is a scud on you.
- 30:45Speaker 7: You're listening morning show?
- 30:49Speaker 1: All right, all right, Steve?
- 30:51Speaker 2: You you started telling us about this woman.
- 30:55Speaker 6: I met this girl and in college, Lord, she was
- 31:01Speaker 6: fine creole girl. My brother told me how to get her,
- 31:05Speaker 6: and he gave me some money to take out. So
- 31:06Speaker 6: I told her to pick the restaurant. She picked the
- 31:08Speaker 6: creole restort. I'm seventeen. I ain't had no creole food,
- 31:12Speaker 6: so I'm in.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I go in there.
- 31:15Speaker 6: She done ordered all this spicy stuff. If to fail,
- 31:18Speaker 6: all this but spice it though. Yeah, yeah, I'm eating stuff. Man,
- 31:22Speaker 6: I ain't never been in my system before. So I'm taking
- 31:27Speaker 6: her home, and my stomach is turning it. So we
- 31:30Speaker 6: get at the front of her house. I'm gonna walk
- 31:33Speaker 6: her to the door. She said, come on in for
- 31:35Speaker 6: a little while. My mama and them gone.
- 31:37Speaker 10: Oh.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Now, my mama had told me, when your stomach just
- 31:40Speaker 1: tore up, try to go home. Yes, yeah, don't put that.
- 31:43Speaker 6: In nobody else house grated yes, but she was so fine.
- 31:48Speaker 6: I just said, well, man, let me go on in
- 31:50Speaker 6: here for a little while, because I what kind of
- 31:52Speaker 6: man would I be?
- 31:53Speaker 1: Fine? Chick invite you in, and Mama and dadd ain't there.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Let me at least go on in here. Something but
- 31:58Speaker 1: your stomach.
- 31:59Speaker 6: I mean, really, Sureley, this a girl air man would
- 32:05Speaker 6: have went in there. I'm sitting there on the country
- 32:08Speaker 6: watching TV. My stomach is turning. I can hear it.
- 32:11Speaker 6: So I said, can I go to the bathroom? She said,
- 32:15Speaker 6: second door on the left. I go in there, and
- 32:19Speaker 6: Lord have mercy.
- 32:22Speaker 1: The walls are gibaltar.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Walls of.
- 32:30Speaker 6: I'd have grabbed the tie rack in front of me
- 32:33Speaker 6: to just try to hang on. I'm twisting the guest
- 32:36Speaker 6: tile in my head like I'm ringing it out.
- 32:39Speaker 1: I did knock the toilet tissue.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Holder off the wall, screws out everything I had kicked
- 32:47Speaker 6: over the trash cat.
- 32:48Speaker 2: You can hear this, right, I don't hear It.
- 32:53Speaker 6: Wasn't feeling what I was feeling. But I'm using the
- 32:56Speaker 6: bathroom so much alarming to me.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you I've actually put more.
- 33:06Speaker 6: In there than I've ever put in there in my
- 33:08Speaker 6: life prior to I.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Didn't know when you don't stop my story. Shirt. This
- 33:17Speaker 1: is for junior time, I know.
- 33:19Speaker 6: So I'm filling the bowl up, so finally I'm done,
- 33:22Speaker 6: to my relief, but I'm sweating though I'm talking about it.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I'm in there. Shirt my shirt wide I had, but
- 33:32Speaker 1: my whole shirt it's wide.
- 33:36Speaker 6: I had hung my pants up on the back of
- 33:39Speaker 6: the dunk because I use a bathroom like my daddy
- 33:42Speaker 6: always hang my pants and draws up on the back
- 33:45Speaker 6: of the shirt. Yeah, you know, ever use the bathrooms.
- 33:50Speaker 6: But I got my shirt on. But I didn't open
- 33:52Speaker 6: it up because it's hot. I got just just water
- 33:56Speaker 6: coming down out the front. So I stand up and
- 34:01Speaker 6: I flushed the toilet. Now I'm putting my clothes on.
- 34:06Speaker 6: But you know how you're waiting to hear that sound
- 34:10Speaker 6: that all I hear is to swirl and I turn
- 34:18Speaker 6: around and his rise.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Rising.
- 34:25Speaker 6: I'm asking God not to do this to me today.
- 34:31Speaker 1: I'm asking God, not today, Lord, not in him. You
- 34:37Speaker 1: have to have a part three.
- 34:38Speaker 6: This ain't the time for this. Lord, stop this swirl
- 34:46Speaker 6: from rise. God, you ain't ever right now.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Oh God, we have to go through.
- 34:56Speaker 6: I will, but Jesus, will it stop the But it's
- 35:01Speaker 6: steady coming.
- 35:03Speaker 1: God, just catch up. I'm over this fine girl house
- 35:10Speaker 1: stomach toe up, the eight grill old food seventeen.
- 35:13Speaker 6: Should have went home and used the bathroot sat in
- 35:16Speaker 6: our house cause she's fine. Now I'm in here using
- 35:18Speaker 6: the bathroom and all held and broken. I'm in here,
- 35:22Speaker 6: neked sting on the toilet was just my shirt on
- 35:26Speaker 6: because I like to shit wide, lady. I like to
- 35:28Speaker 6: be open and free, and I need it because I
- 35:31Speaker 6: had to brace myself a couple of times.
- 35:33Speaker 2: But she never came in there to her.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Cham not checked. She coming that's coming.
- 35:37Speaker 8: In the store.
- 35:39Speaker 1: So I get up.
- 35:40Speaker 6: I finally get through, but I've noticed that I'm putting
- 35:42Speaker 6: more in the bowls and ever bore. So I'm a
- 35:45Speaker 6: little bit concerned with their sheer volume. So I flushed
- 35:49Speaker 6: the toilet as I'm putting my pants back up on me,
- 35:53Speaker 6: and I'm waiting to hear that.
- 35:55Speaker 1: But I don't hear it. And I look back and
- 35:59Speaker 1: his rise just going in a slow circle. So I
- 36:04Speaker 1: go in.
- 36:05Speaker 6: I go to my heavenly father, here, Father the god boy,
- 36:11Speaker 6: now lost stop this rise in time. Wow, somehow, don't
- 36:18Speaker 6: let this swirl get up by the top. But he
- 36:21Speaker 6: didn't hear me that day. Yes, I guess it wasn't
- 36:23Speaker 6: let The next thing I know, it's at the very
- 36:27Speaker 6: top of the toilet.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Oh my god, and it's about to flow over. So
- 36:34Speaker 1: now I don't know what to do. So I look
- 36:37Speaker 1: down and it's a trash can.
- 36:40Speaker 6: So I dipped the trash can down in it, and
- 36:44Speaker 6: I got a trash can full of it here.
- 36:48Speaker 1: So I pull on the shower curtain back it, throw
- 36:51Speaker 1: it in the bathto.
- 36:55Speaker 6: But here comes some more, so I had to take
- 36:59Speaker 6: another trash can full of it.
- 37:02Speaker 1: And throw another.
- 37:03Speaker 6: Trash can in the bathtub, and here comes some damn moat.
- 37:07Speaker 6: So now I realized they call it is broke up
- 37:15Speaker 6: and it started going back down or you work there,
- 37:19Speaker 6: I say, I gotta get some water and put it
- 37:22Speaker 6: in here.
- 37:22Speaker 1: So I started running water.
- 37:24Speaker 6: In the trash can to pour it down there and
- 37:27Speaker 6: make the water go clean. So I finally did that. Yeah,
- 37:31Speaker 6: and I said, thank you Lord. And I looked over
- 37:35Speaker 6: and the damn bathtub is tripe. Shower cook this tripe.
- 37:45Speaker 6: I look, come, it's on the wall.
- 37:50Speaker 1: It's on the water foid partfore.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Home, this is this is all Kelly's in the closet,
- 37:57Speaker 6: and this is Steve Hally's in the.

- 39:27Speaker 6: noticed they got a candle in the bathroom.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Oh I light it. I like the candles. Starts striking
- 39:34Speaker 1: matches and running tapwater.
- 39:36Speaker 6: That for my mama always told me, strike some matches
- 39:38Speaker 6: and run some tapwater.
- 39:39Speaker 1: It'll help you get rid of old them. So I'm

- 40:46Speaker 6: I got everything up, but I got this big nasty
- 40:49Speaker 6: ass time and I don't know what to do with it.
- 40:52Speaker 6: So I take it, put it in the waste paper
- 40:54Speaker 6: can that I've been bailing with, and struck all that
- 40:58Speaker 6: under the seat. Okay, I figured this ain't finn to
- 41:03Speaker 6: be good, no how, but at least when they come
- 41:06Speaker 6: in here, it's gonna take a moment because I know
- 41:09Speaker 6: when you're going there, you're gonna have to say what
- 41:12Speaker 6: the hit happened here? Because I couldn't remember how the
- 41:16Speaker 6: shower curtain was or none of that. And now I
- 41:19Speaker 6: got I look out. I'm telling you, I got everything off.

- 41:55Speaker 6: I ain't had time to look at this because I'm

- 42:14Speaker 6: and she said, oh my god, look at you. What
- 42:17Speaker 6: have you been doing. I looked at her, said you
- 42:21Speaker 6: ain't got to talk to me like that, and walked
- 42:26Speaker 6: out the floor, throat and slam. When they got in
- 42:31Speaker 6: my car, had to ride home with all my windows
- 42:33Speaker 6: down because I speak. I smelled like a stump sitting
- 42:40Speaker 6: in that card. And that girl saw me on the

- 52:39Speaker 2: on sex, on parenting, and more. Please submit your Strawberry
- 52:42Speaker 2: letter to Steve Harvey f M and click submit Strawberry Letter.
- 52:46Speaker 7: We could be reading.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Your letter live on the air.
- 52:49Speaker 8: You hear that, just like we're gonna read this one
- 52:51Speaker 8: right now.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Letter, subjected show business isn't for everyone, even Shirley. I'm
- 53:00Speaker 2: a fifty year old, devoted wife with a big problem.
- 53:04Speaker 2: I've been married to a great man for twenty three
- 53:07Speaker 2: years and we have two kids in college. He's a
- 53:09Speaker 2: great provider and we both have solid careers, but he
- 53:13Speaker 2: has always had a big dream. He wants to be
- 53:16Speaker 2: a big Broadway actor. My husband wants badly to be
- 53:19Speaker 2: an actor, but he's never been able to make it work.
- 53:22Speaker 2: He's auditioned for a lot of commercials, he's taking act
- 53:26Speaker 2: he's taken acting classes, and he has wasted our money
- 53:30Speaker 2: on hustling his way into some big auditions, but each
- 53:33Speaker 2: time he was rejected. The most he's achieved is some
- 53:37Speaker 2: unpaid adult roles in the local children's theater. To put
- 53:40Speaker 2: it plainly, he can't act worth a darn and he
- 53:44Speaker 2: can't sing to save his life. I love him, but
- 53:48Speaker 2: it's the truth. Our friends and family have sat through
- 53:51Speaker 2: too many bad productions and local plays, and I simply
- 53:54Speaker 2: can't do it anymore. We constantly have to lie and
- 53:57Speaker 2: tell him he's good, and we know that we giving
- 54:00Speaker 2: him false encouragement. My biggest problem is now that our
- 54:03Speaker 2: kids are in college, he has come up with the
- 54:05Speaker 2: crazy idea of moving to New York so he can
- 54:08Speaker 2: finally make it big as an actor. He has no
- 54:13Speaker 2: professional experience, but he thinks he just needs to be
- 54:16Speaker 2: discovered to get his first big break. I don't know
- 54:19Speaker 2: how to tell him it's not going to happen without
- 54:21Speaker 2: crushing his spirit. What is a wife to do when
- 54:23Speaker 2: you know your man's hopes most likely will never be
- 54:27Speaker 2: a reality. Steve, you're a superstar, So what advice do
- 54:31Speaker 2: you have for someone who has to tell their spouse
- 54:33Speaker 2: there definitely not going to make it. He can't upgroup
- 54:36Speaker 2: my life with a delusion. Please help?
- 54:39Speaker 10: Well?
- 54:40Speaker 2: Does he have any talent at all? Nothing?
- 54:45Speaker 1: Nothing?
- 54:46Speaker 2: Because on one hand, you definitely need to stop lying
- 54:49Speaker 2: to him, you and all your friends and you all
- 54:52Speaker 2: have to tell him the truth. If you really love
- 54:54Speaker 2: him like you say you do, and those are really
- 54:57Speaker 2: his friends. You guys have to sit him down and
- 54:59Speaker 2: tell him the truth. Maybe he didn't take enough acting
- 55:03Speaker 2: classes sometimes, you know, maybe he needs more. You know,
- 55:07Speaker 2: sometimes you can you know. Maybe on the other hand,
- 55:11Speaker 2: you don't want to be the one to just kill
- 55:13Speaker 2: his dream. This is a dream of his, so you know,
- 55:16Speaker 2: you gotta you have to support him as a wife
- 55:20Speaker 2: because you know he's going to be crushed to know
- 55:22Speaker 2: that you really don't believe in him, all right, But
- 55:25Speaker 2: obviously he believes in himself, which is a good thing,
- 55:29Speaker 2: no matter how many rejections he's gotten, because I mean,
- 55:33Speaker 2: actors say this all the time about the rejections they
- 55:36Speaker 2: have to deal with, and they do have to deal
- 55:39Speaker 2: with a lot of rejection. And no, I don't think
- 55:42Speaker 2: that you should uproot your life, but I do think,
- 55:45Speaker 2: you know, maybe you should have one more good chance
- 55:48Speaker 2: for him, you know, give him a chance to pursue
- 55:51Speaker 2: his dream.
- 55:51Speaker 7: You know, pick a.
- 55:53Speaker 2: Date, set up some audition, send out some videotapes, video audition,
- 55:58Speaker 2: video auditions, and if he gets a bite, if he
- 56:01Speaker 2: gets you know, a callback or something, maybe then he
- 56:05Speaker 2: can go to New York if it's something something permanent, okay,
- 56:09Speaker 2: But I would encourage him to keep taking those classes
- 56:11Speaker 2: because I don't think he should kill his dream.
- 56:14Speaker 1: I don't ye want to crush this time.
- 56:21Speaker 6: If you're this time out for this, too old for this,
- 56:25Speaker 6: fifty years old. You've been with this man twenty three years.
- 56:28Speaker 6: He ain't made it yet. The damn kids is gonna
- 56:32Speaker 6: have degrees for he make it. He's a great provider,
- 56:38Speaker 6: that's what he is. Got a solid career, that's what
- 56:43Speaker 6: That's what he is. He's always had a big dream.
- 56:48Speaker 6: He wants to be a big Broadway actor. My husband
- 56:51Speaker 6: wants badly be an actor, but he ain't never been
- 56:54Speaker 6: able to make it work.
- 56:55Speaker 1: He did an audition for.
- 56:56Speaker 6: Commercials making acting classes.
- 57:03Speaker 1: He don't wasted money hustling his way into some.
- 57:05Speaker 6: Big auditions, and every time he rejected because he can't act.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Your damn husband can't act.
- 57:16Speaker 1: But what is this?
- 57:17Speaker 6: Why he always get That's why he got to hustle
- 57:20Speaker 6: his way into these auditions.
- 57:22Speaker 1: Ain't nobody asked him to come down there? They had
- 57:25Speaker 1: him at the other audition. He can't act.
- 57:32Speaker 6: The most he's achieving some unpaid adult roles in a
- 57:35Speaker 6: local children's theater. Now, Oh, fat ass is somewhere. He
- 57:41Speaker 6: the tree, the tree you're in the children's theater. Your
- 57:47Speaker 6: big ass is the tree.
- 57:52Speaker 1: To put it plainly, he can't act work for damn.
- 57:56Speaker 6: I said this two letters, two sentences in. He can't
- 58:02Speaker 6: act with a damn and can't saying to save his life.
- 58:07Speaker 6: So if somebody had a gun on him and said,
- 58:10Speaker 6: if you can sound like any record out today, I won't.
- 58:14Speaker 1: Shoot you, his ass will be shot.
- 58:18Speaker 6: I love him, but it's the truth, and the truth
- 58:21Speaker 6: will set you free, friends and family that set through
- 58:25Speaker 6: too many bad productions and local plays. And I can't
- 58:28Speaker 6: do it, no damn more, just sitting up lying to
- 58:32Speaker 6: his old ass, telling him he good and we know
- 58:35Speaker 6: we give it him false encouragement. Your ass ain't nothing
- 58:39Speaker 6: but a tree. Now, he done came up with some
- 58:47Speaker 6: crazy idea to move to New York. You know how
- 58:49Speaker 6: much you costs live in New York? Telling ain't a finn?
- 58:54Speaker 6: Hide his old ass, and he ain't been nothing but
- 58:57Speaker 6: a tree.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Steve, we come back. I'm gonna tell you the rest
- 59:03Speaker 1: of it.
- 59:05Speaker 6: Tell but you don't want to kill his dream sain't
- 59:07Speaker 6: no damn dream.
- 59:09Speaker 2: All right, We'll have part two of Steve's very sweet
- 59:12Speaker 2: response coming up at twenty three after the hour. Today's
- 59:16Speaker 2: subject is show business isn't for everyone. It isn't for everyone,
- 59:20Speaker 2: and it may not be for your husband. We'll be
- 59:23Speaker 2: back with part two at twenty three after right after this.
- 59:26Speaker 2: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on,
- 59:30Speaker 2: let's recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject show business isn't for everyone.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Fifty old man been married to this fifty old dude.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Fifty year old woman.
- 59:39Speaker 6: She's been married to this man twenty three years, kids
- 59:42Speaker 6: and went off to college.
- 59:43Speaker 1: He'd been trying to make it as an actor all
- 59:45Speaker 1: this time. He can't.
- 59:48Speaker 6: He'dn't been auditions, he always get rejected. He'd hustle his
- 59:51Speaker 6: way into big auditions, he always get to rejecting.
- 59:57Speaker 1: He can't.
- 59:59Speaker 6: You know, he didn't been in some unpaid adult roles
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: in the local children theater.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: We all know what that means. He can't act with
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: for damn. He can't sing word for damn.
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: He's a good provider, but other than that, he's not
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: worth for damn.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Now, let's just speak clear.
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: Wow, friends and family, the sect through too many bad
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: productions and local plays and you can't do it no more.
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: Well you think you can't do it your friends is
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: damn show tied? Ah, he can't. He probably want them
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: plays where he's selling tickets to it. Everybody in the
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: plane got to sell fifteen tickets.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's probably what he doing. He can't act.
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: I was scared when I first saw this letter that
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: but but because I thought it was about somebody I knew.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: But then it turned.
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: On me because you know he he do want to
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: be a big Broadway actor.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I heard him up making work. Now, I was just
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: saying it was somebody I know.
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: He auditioned for a lot of commercial he just took
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: acting classes. But then it started going bad because it said,
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: but he can't act one for damn. So then I
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: knew it wasn't tom because Tommy asked can act.
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: Well.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: At first I was very Oh, I was gonna do it, but.
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: Then you know it's saying he can't act one for
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: down and that's Tommy can really act, though, so I
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: had to I had to back up off. So it's
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: not nobody I know. He has no professional experience. He
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: just thinks he needs to be discovered to get his
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: first big break. I don't know how to tell him
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: it's not gonna happen without crushing his spirit.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: We got to get this spirit crushed.
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: We have gotten it soon for y'all mess around and
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: he find a place in Man.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: God's gonna starve to death going up there trying to
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: be a starving actor.
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: Now listen to me. First of all, here's the truth.
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: This is not a dream that you're crushing. This is
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: his delusion. He's delusion. He's not dreaming.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: This is a delusion.
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: And if you go tonight, if you go to New York,
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: it's gonna become a nightmare. Here's something else we need
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: to come to the realization. All dreams don't come true.
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: They don't. I'm sixteen years old. I dream of Michelle Piers.
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: It's about because then people can respect your transparency and
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: maybe we can see some of.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Him in me. Now. I dreamed of Michelle Pierce at sixteen.
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: Okay, what happened?
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: Michelle Pier has been married twice to everybody button.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: She could have been Michelle Hard.
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: Michelle Pierce came to one of my shows in Columbus,
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: Ohio with her husband. She said, Oh my god, that's
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: just handsome. I can't believe you've made it. She called
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: me handsome.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: She got you, she got you. I knew she was
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: lying me. I like somebody else. Have never really heard
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: that before, and it threw me.
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: What do you mean like someone else?
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: He back over here.
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: No, he just said, if you throw a rock in
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: a pack of dogs, the one that holler is the
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: one you hit.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Junior know he's not attractive. Jay knows he's not attractive.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Willow Ebbitts see that.
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: I'm not I'm not getting in this line. This show
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: that got a problem with it is the one that's huggling.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I'm not getting in this line now, y'all. Ugly man,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I'm with you. I agree with you. Yeah, all dreams
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: don't come true.
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: I'm wanting to be handled now. If y'all, if you
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: don't put this out of his head, y'all ass gonna
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: be in New York and I can't tell you how
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: much that's gonna cost. And these great careers y'all got
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: gonna be over because his job don't transfer to New York. Nigga,
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: He's gonna be up there in the back of some
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: Broadway theater, swooping sweeping trying to be evident Champagne King
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: that he just gonna bust out singing more I can walk,
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: then he gonna get fired from the mopping joke.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: You need to stop.
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: This before it gets started. You and your friends need
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: to sit down. It's really not your friends. Don't include
- 1:05:11Speaker 6: your friends. You have to sit down there as the
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: wife and go honey, listen.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Hurry Steve. You can't. You can't at or saying.

- 1:06:28Speaker 11: got a baby, don't nobody talk about he coming to
- 1:06:32Speaker 11: the funeral.

- 1:13:58Speaker 2: a single yearine sample, you know during your once a
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: year checkup, your toilet could be constantly monitoring, monitoring this stuff. Okay,
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: so you won't have any surprises when.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: You go to the dogs. Thought.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Okay, I mean, you know there's something to this. And

- 1:14:18Speaker 2: you health insights whenever you have to really go and
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: send all this vital information to your smartphone. So no must,
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: no fuss, I.

- 1:15:10Speaker 2: page of a book or a magazine or something, or
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: would you rather bite your tongue every time you eat?
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: So what's worth?
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Give me that paper cutt I'll take the paper book
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: because I ain't reading no book no way, so it
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: ain't going to be too much damage. I don't never
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: read more than a page anyway. I beat a page.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Bite my damn tongue.
- 1:15:37Speaker 8: I think I'd rather bite my tongue.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: No, I know you don't. We must ain't never beat
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: it before.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: I've been my tongue before.
- 1:15:44Speaker 8: But I don't like paper cuts.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: I hate that rather coming up? Rather do that? No, YU,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: give me the cut. I can't bite. I hate biting
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: my trunk, biting my jaw yall.
- 1:16:11Speaker 8: That is painful.
- 1:16:12Speaker 6: And when the molars chopped down, lord, and then you
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: do it back to back.
- 1:16:17Speaker 8: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Make what is wrong with me?
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: You alone?
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: And take that the heel in there?
- 1:16:24Speaker 8: Yeah a long time? All right, here's another one.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Would you rather be a little late, just a little
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: bit late, or just way too early?
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: Way too early?
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: I'm going with the little late. Really, Yeah, I'm a celebrity.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Cordially, Oh yeah, you're a celebrity.
- 1:16:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm finna be way too early sitting up in
- 1:16:43Speaker 6: here for me, I'm sitting up in here off and
- 1:16:46Speaker 6: like I'm thirsty, like if y'all know this will be yeah, Hey, yeah,
- 1:16:51Speaker 6: I'm sitting up here like I ain't got no work
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: or nothing.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Hit this role.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: I want to do this showy how y'all doing this?
- 1:17:00Speaker 6: Speaking of everybody coming in and let's Steve Harvey, Hi, guys,
- 1:17:03Speaker 6: how you do what I'm here?
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: Hey?
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: Just let that?
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Yeah, he just let whoever it is, let's let's let
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: him over here. But a five minutes early? Really need this?
- 1:17:15Speaker 8: So yeah, you're a celebrity, So you late. I hate
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: being late, Oh god, I hate.
- 1:17:21Speaker 6: I had a guy one time though. This happened in
- 1:17:23Speaker 6: New Orleans, and me and him fell out behind. This
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: had a meeting doing the Essence Festival with this guy
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: at this restaurant, and I had I had a driver,
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: and so the driver got caught up in traffic and
- 1:17:36Speaker 6: was waiting. And so when I got to the restaurant,
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: I got there ten minutes late. This guy was a
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: white collar Wall Street guy. He said, wow, you're late.
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: I said, yeah, I called you man, I was running
- 1:17:45Speaker 6: behind up my driver got stuck in traffic. He said,
- 1:17:48Speaker 6: you didn't think to get a cab. I said, no,
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: I didn't think to get a cab. Well, if if
- 1:17:53Speaker 6: a cab would have gotten you here on time, you
- 1:17:55Speaker 6: think that would have been better. I said, no, I
- 1:17:57Speaker 6: can't get in cabs. Dog, I'm famous. I don't know
- 1:17:59Speaker 6: where this dude and to take me. I got a
- 1:18:02Speaker 6: drive All of a sudden, he got Steve Harven and
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: camb Now I'm in the back of the French Quarter
- 1:18:05Speaker 6: getting my ass whooped.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: Coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour. It's
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: our last break of the day, and of course we'll
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: get some closing remarks from the one and only, our
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: fearless leader, Steve Harvey.
- 1:18:21Speaker 8: Rather be a little late right after this, you're.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: Listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. Here we are last break
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: of the day.
- 1:18:28Speaker 6: Guys.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: It's been a pretty fun, crazy, crazy ignorant day on
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: this crazy Ignorant show. A lot of fun today, But Steve,
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: now it's time to get a little serious and so
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: we can learn ourselves something.
- 1:18:42Speaker 6: I just want to encourage people to do something really
- 1:18:44Speaker 6: really simple today. And I think this is something that
- 1:18:48Speaker 6: most people would agree to want. It's really just simple.
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: Everybody should want more for your life. I'm talking about
- 1:19:00Speaker 6: your life right there, the ones that you have. You
- 1:19:03Speaker 6: should want more for your life. You should never allow
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: yourself to become complacent. Now, I want you to understand something.
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: Some people get complacency confused if they don't want.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: To seem ungrateful.
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: Once again, some people get complacency confused with not wanting
- 1:19:27Speaker 6: to appear ungrateful. Well, I don't want to keep asking
- 1:19:31Speaker 6: God for nothing because I don't want him to think
- 1:19:33Speaker 6: I ain't grateful.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: For what I have.
- 1:19:35Speaker 6: Well thanking for it. Then that's really simple. Simply thank
- 1:19:39Speaker 6: God for what you have. That's the gratitude. But then
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: it's still okay to want more.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: For your life. Here's the good news.
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: God actually wants you to have more for your life.
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: God is really looking for people to show off. I
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: happened to raise my hand all the time and volunteer.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: I do.
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: I just say, God, pick me, come on, do me,
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: use me, show me. Now that doesn't mean I'm perfect.
- 1:20:16Speaker 6: I'm far from it. But I do want God's blessings
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: to be able to flow through me. So I keep
- 1:20:23Speaker 6: an open channel in my life for that stuff to
- 1:20:26Speaker 6: flow through. First of all, I want more. That's the
- 1:20:30Speaker 6: beginning of getting it. Then I have the good sense
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: to ask him for more. You have not cause you asked. Now, well,
- 1:20:39Speaker 6: I happen to be a big asker of stuff.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: So now I want more. I ask for more.
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: Now here's the trick to asking for more and wanting more.
- 1:20:55Speaker 6: You have got to be willing to do more. Uh oh,
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: now you got to do more.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: That's the one thing that stops so many people from
- 1:21:11Speaker 6: having and wanting more for their life. If God will
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: give you blessings and God will increase your measure in life,
- 1:21:25Speaker 6: if God comes to give you life and give you
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: life more abundantly, if He's promised to do that for you,
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: and what you have to do in return is you
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: have to be willing to do more. See, you can't
- 1:21:40Speaker 6: get more without doing more. Convenience is built through inconvenience,
- 1:21:45Speaker 6: you can stop wanting what you see everybody else with
- 1:21:48Speaker 6: and you ain't willing to do what everybody else did
- 1:21:51Speaker 6: to get it.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Quick look at it. Oprah's power over there.
- 1:21:54Speaker 6: If you ain't willing to do what Oprah did, the
- 1:21:57Speaker 6: average person is not because the average this person wants
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: to be comfortable, and you can't be successful and stay comfortable.
- 1:22:07Speaker 6: I was interviewing the wrestler on my show yesterday, Dave Batisse,
- 1:22:10Speaker 6: a great story man. This cat was really out of it,
- 1:22:13Speaker 6: really really fascinating story he had and we were talking
- 1:22:20Speaker 6: and he was talking about living outside your comfort zone.
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: And I told him one of the things that I've
- 1:22:26Speaker 6: had to learn how to do in order to become
- 1:22:27Speaker 6: successful is I've had to become comfortable with being uncomfortable.
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: He said, wow, Wow, that's a great way to put in, Steve,
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: I have learned how to be comfortable while I'm uncomfortable,
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: Because in order to get successful, you have to be uncomfortable.
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: You have to do things that you don't feel like
- 1:22:56Speaker 6: doing all the time. You have to show up on
- 1:22:59Speaker 6: your I want to show up. You have to be
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: there when you feel like being somewhere else. You have
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: to say yes a lot of times when you really
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: want to just say no. That's where you're at, man,
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: that's how you become successful. But you can't keep asking
- 1:23:18Speaker 6: God for more and you ain't willing to do more.
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: It doesn't make any sense. It cannot happen that way, folks.
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: So come on, I want you to want more for
- 1:23:31Speaker 6: your life. But there's a scripture that bags that up
- 1:23:35Speaker 6: to It said to whom much is given, much is required. Navi,
- 1:23:43Speaker 6: you don't want the requirements, then he gonna have to
- 1:23:48Speaker 6: pull up on the given. But if you want the given,
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: know that here'll come the requirements more time. If you
- 1:24:01Speaker 6: don't want the requirement, he's gonna have to pull up
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: on the giving. Do not be the one who blocks
- 1:24:11Speaker 6: your own blessings. Want more for your life and be
- 1:24:15Speaker 6: willing to do the things to accept and receive more.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: It's just disciplined. It's just some more work.
- 1:24:24Speaker 6: But if you just cut out some of the bs
- 1:24:27Speaker 6: man man, just cut out some of the happy hours,
- 1:24:31Speaker 6: just cut out some of the drinking. You can't smoke
- 1:24:34Speaker 6: one every day though. You can't go to all the clubs.
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: So man, you're just gonna run all the women that
- 1:24:43Speaker 6: that's that's that's, that's what you're gonna do all of them.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: I got news for you.
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: Lest you can't be successful, you can't drop it.
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: For all st.
