- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in the stuffings me good it listening
- 0:24Speaker 1: to other Please, I don't join jo. You gotta turn
- 1:05Speaker 1: hur you're going to do. You gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. You got to turn them out, the turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water, the water go. Come come on your baby, dad,
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, Come on, jig me now, one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. I thank
- 2:11Speaker 1: God for it every day. I try to remember that too,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know. I try to remember to be grateful. I
- 2:18Speaker 1: think gratitude is one of the things that helps keep
- 2:22Speaker 1: me grounded. You can go as far as you want
- 2:24Speaker 1: in life. If you don't mind who gets the credit,
- 2:26Speaker 1: Well that applies to God too, don't it. I mean,
- 2:30Speaker 1: you know, really, if you don't mind who gets the credit.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm surrounded by very competent people. I'm surrounded by a
- 2:39Speaker 1: lot of people who work hard on their jobs on
- 2:42Speaker 1: their career, who are dedicated employees and also just dedicated
- 2:49Speaker 1: to their families and you know, dedicated to their own
- 2:52Speaker 1: set of aspirations. I don't expect anybody to work for
- 2:56Speaker 1: me whatever. I always look at my job opportunities are
- 3:00Speaker 1: stepping stones because I want everyone around me really to
- 3:04Speaker 1: aspire to be more. I mean, that's really the way
- 3:08Speaker 1: I am. I'm not any other way. I'm not trying
- 3:11Speaker 1: to hold you to this position. You know, tell you
- 3:14Speaker 1: there's no room for growth any of that. But even
- 3:18Speaker 1: though I'm surrounded by these people, I'm grateful that God
- 3:23Speaker 1: placed them in my path in my life. But in
- 3:30Speaker 1: my mind, in my spirit, in everything in me, the
- 3:36Speaker 1: credit still belongs to God. I'm sorry. The credit still
- 3:42Speaker 1: belongs to God. See if you were just for a moment,
- 3:49Speaker 1: stop thinking about yourself, just for a moment. I know
- 3:53Speaker 1: that's hard, but just for a moment, stop thinking about
- 3:56Speaker 1: yourself and realize that maybe you are who you are
- 4:00Speaker 1: because God is who he is. Maybe that's the case.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Have you ever considered that? That's the strongest possibility I
- 4:09Speaker 1: can give to you? You know, how do you think
- 4:13Speaker 1: you're the one that made it through? How you think
- 4:17Speaker 1: you the one after all of the ignorant decisions we
- 4:21Speaker 1: have made? And oh my goodness, let's all be honest,
- 4:24Speaker 1: ain't we made some crazy decisions I'm talking about, man,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I have made decisions so adverse to my destiny and career,
- 4:34Speaker 1: my promises. I've made some decisions man, knowingly you hear
- 4:39Speaker 1: me knowingly do something wrong, and in spite of all that,
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm still here standing. Okay, come on now, really, really,
- 4:50Speaker 1: all the dirt you've been done, everybody done dirt, all
- 4:55Speaker 1: the mistakes you've made, You're in a position you in
- 4:58Speaker 1: today cause of what? Because you all that? Because you
- 5:03Speaker 1: work harder than anybody else. Look, I work hard. I'll
- 5:08Speaker 1: be there. I'll tell you in a minute. I work hard,
- 5:10Speaker 1: but I don't think I'm the hardest working person out there.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure somebody didn't work way harder than I have.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So okay, so you work hard? Okay, cool, I got
- 5:20Speaker 1: all that, But man, what about his grace and his mercy?
- 5:27Speaker 1: What about his favor? How many times, man, you didn't
- 5:32Speaker 1: rely on that, even when you ain't know you was
- 5:34Speaker 1: relying on it? How many times man, God hadn't shown
- 5:37Speaker 1: you mercy? You ain't even deserve it? Do you know
- 5:41Speaker 1: how many things I've done wrong? I just ain't get
- 5:43Speaker 1: caught at it? You know. Let me see how simple
- 5:48Speaker 1: I can be here. You speed, you jaywalk, You lie
- 5:54Speaker 1: to police when you get pulled over that you wasn't speed,
- 5:57Speaker 1: and you go to court and I argue you wouldn't
- 5:59Speaker 1: speed when you was. You make you turns. I'm just
- 6:05Speaker 1: doing traffic violations. Now, let's get off traffic for a second.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Let's get on human violations. You talk about people when
- 6:14Speaker 1: you're not supposed to. You indulge yourself in gossip even
- 6:19Speaker 1: when you don't really have all the facts. You pass judgment,
- 6:25Speaker 1: You lust for people that don't belong to you. You
- 6:30Speaker 1: say things to people that you're not supposed to say. So,
- 6:37Speaker 1: look all of us, we all, we all guilty. Now
- 6:41Speaker 1: see I'm not saying you do all of that, but
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'm saying I'm pretty sure I hit you somewhere in there,
- 6:47Speaker 1: just somewhere in there. You to lie before you know
- 6:51Speaker 1: you lied recently. I mean, come on, And I'm just
- 6:54Speaker 1: saying so with all that in mind. See, I'm just
- 6:57Speaker 1: looking at the little things that we do that we
- 6:58Speaker 1: don't get busted for. Not to mention the chips you
- 7:01Speaker 1: stole when you was a kid and nobody caught you. Well,
- 7:05Speaker 1: that elevated, didn't it. And some of y'all just didn't
- 7:07Speaker 1: stop stealing. The next thing you know, you was in
- 7:09Speaker 1: a car. Now you're sitting somewhere you don't want to
- 7:11Speaker 1: be sitting because of a decision you made. But through
- 7:15Speaker 1: his grace and mercy, couldn't it have been worse? Though?
- 7:17Speaker 1: Without his grace and mercy, could not it have been worse?
- 7:22Speaker 1: I know two dudes it got caught in the garage
- 7:24Speaker 1: one time, trying to break in somebody's house, and the
- 7:26Speaker 1: person in the house they broke into just happened to
- 7:29Speaker 1: have a gun and held them in the garage, caught
- 7:33Speaker 1: them and hailed them to the garage to the police car.
- 7:36Speaker 1: That's Grace and mercy right there, because they had all
- 7:39Speaker 1: full right to shoot these two people, but they didn't.
- 7:42Speaker 1: The grace and mercy. See, all of us have benefited
- 7:46Speaker 1: from his grace and mercy. All of us have done
- 7:49Speaker 1: a wrong, committed a sin, broken the law, and somehow,
- 7:52Speaker 1: through his grace and mercy, got by, doing drugs, buying drugs,
- 7:56Speaker 1: slanging drugs, doing something, got by, jumped on somebody for
- 8:00Speaker 1: no reason, got by, you know. So see how you
- 8:05Speaker 1: figure with all that that can go on in your
- 8:08Speaker 1: life and then hold on, let me throw a couple
- 8:10Speaker 1: more at you. You can't wake yourself up in the morning,
- 8:14Speaker 1: mister big shot. You don't have the ability to control
- 8:20Speaker 1: the breaths that you take. Really, mister big shot, really,
- 8:25Speaker 1: let's get real basic with it now. You can't wake
- 8:27Speaker 1: yourself up in the morning. That's favor, that's grace, that's mercy,
- 8:37Speaker 1: that's Him allowing you to wake up just hoping we
- 8:41Speaker 1: get it right. You know, God spared me through all
- 8:44Speaker 1: the dirt I was doing just hoping one day? Man,
- 8:47Speaker 1: can you just straighten up a little bit? When I
- 8:50Speaker 1: finally straightened up? And I'm gonna just say it straightened
- 8:53Speaker 1: up a little bit. See, I ain't straightened up all
- 8:55Speaker 1: the way. Say, I ain't gonna sit here and tell
- 8:57Speaker 1: you that I just straightened up a little bit east
- 9:00Speaker 1: blessing me. So the more blessings I gotta started going, Man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: maybe I'll try straighten up a little bit more. So
- 9:04Speaker 1: I straightened up a little bit more. Now. I still
- 9:06Speaker 1: got a long way to go, but I'm straighter than
- 9:09Speaker 1: I was now. When people judging me, and as they will,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and they do, because that ain't right, but they do.
- 9:15Speaker 1: And I ain't walking just the way they walk. Then
- 9:17Speaker 1: here comes to criticism. I get it all the time.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Stop wanting credit all the time, and give out some
- 9:23Speaker 1: credit where credit is due instead of get having somebody
- 9:26Speaker 1: patting you on your back all the time. Why don't
- 9:28Speaker 1: you tell God kill people it was really was God? Man?
- 9:31Speaker 1: That you don't really know how you made it? That
- 9:34Speaker 1: really man, you have no explanation for your success or
- 9:37Speaker 1: you have no explanation why you still existing today. Why
- 9:39Speaker 1: don't you tell somebody was God today? Don't be ashamed.
- 9:42Speaker 1: It's the truth, ain't it? I mean, really, man, let's
- 9:46Speaker 1: give God some credit. Hell, give God the credit and
- 9:49Speaker 1: the glory and honor, and like that plaque said, you
- 9:52Speaker 1: can go as far as you want in life if
- 9:54Speaker 1: you don't mind who gets the credit. All right, you're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a new day. Man, How
- 10:08Speaker 1: good is God? You know what? If you heard me
- 10:12Speaker 1: yesterday or you didn't hear me yesterday, and you hear
- 10:15Speaker 1: me today, do you understand the blessing that is? And
- 10:20Speaker 1: I'm not claiming that I'm the blessing that you can
- 10:22Speaker 1: hear me. The blessing is is that you can hear
- 10:26Speaker 1: me because you are here. That's the deal man. Wow,
- 10:31Speaker 1: you gotta be grateful about that man. Be prayerful today, y'all,
- 10:35Speaker 1: but be grateful in your prayer. So before you start
- 10:38Speaker 1: asking God for anything, thank you for all the things
- 10:42Speaker 1: he's done. I have to remind myself of that from
- 10:44Speaker 1: time to time. It's such an necessary, important principle to
- 10:48Speaker 1: always remember, which is gratitude, because if you start your
- 10:51Speaker 1: day with gratitude, it will immediately affect your attitude, which
- 10:56Speaker 1: is in direct correlation with your altitude. It's the two baby,
- 11:00Speaker 1: let's get him together. Steve Harvey Varney show, Sherley Strawberry
- 11:04Speaker 1: Collar for real mouth out the South. That's all that
- 11:09Speaker 1: we here. Well, she talks. People don't get to hear Monica.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It is a continuous, continuous flow of unwanted conversation. Now,
- 11:22Speaker 1: she's very smart and it's filled with a lot of
- 11:25Speaker 1: information that we need to make this show work. But
- 11:28Speaker 1: in between that are Southern facts that are unimportant. Example,
- 11:35Speaker 1: talk best temperature from catfish. Don't nobody really need to
- 11:41Speaker 1: know that, but she has that information. Where Jackson status
- 11:45Speaker 1: playing this weekend, Everybody don't want to know that. Somehow
- 11:50Speaker 1: finds a way to show up and get free tickets
- 11:53Speaker 1: from Dion, saying it is just an amazing thing right there.
- 11:58Speaker 1: She's a fighter for justice, civil rights in Mississippi. Oh,
- 12:05Speaker 1: ain't no telling how long this fight gonna go on.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Clear your throat. And she's checking with her mother every
- 12:12Speaker 1: day to see if her mama wants to come to Atlanta,
- 12:16Speaker 1: and she gets cussed out every morning for ass This
- 12:20Speaker 1: is the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Ladies, How y'all doing today?
- 12:25Speaker 1: I'm great, I'm great. It's Friday. Wonderful Friday. Wonderful Friday.
- 12:32Speaker 1: That's what I can say. How are you? Oh? Pretty good?
- 12:35Speaker 1: Pretty good? Little busy? This weekend's my life. I'm sorry.
- 12:41Speaker 1: What you got going on this weekend? Just some ball
- 12:47Speaker 1: business our show? Hope? What you know? What I found though,
- 12:53Speaker 1: It's just like in Hollywood going to a pitch meeting.
- 12:56Speaker 1: The majority of my pitch meetings that I've went to
- 13:00Speaker 1: did not result in a show getting one TV And
- 13:04Speaker 1: the majority of meetings that I tend almost never immediately
- 13:09Speaker 1: result in return in terms of income. But it is
- 13:14Speaker 1: called seed planting, y'all. I just keep planting seed. Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Because I'm glad you said that, because I was about
- 13:22Speaker 1: to say, well, thank you, because you got to plant seeds,
- 13:26Speaker 1: because you're gonna look up one day or something. You
- 13:28Speaker 1: plan it ten years ago on something probably about the grind. Yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 1: thank you for all right there, spread it around all right,
- 13:38Speaker 1: coming up with thirty two minutes after the hour. We'll
- 13:41Speaker 1: run that prank back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 13:48Speaker 1: it is time now to run that prank back. What
- 13:50Speaker 1: you got the red run it cat your favorite party. Hello, Hello,
- 13:58Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a uh Denise please, yes, this
- 14:02Speaker 1: is she, Hi Denise. My name is Gavin. I'm actually
- 14:05Speaker 1: the head jeweler here diamonds. Know how you doing? I'm good.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You brought your ring in what was it last week?
- 14:10Speaker 1: I actually wasn't here, but you gave it to one
- 14:13Speaker 1: of my salespersons, and yes you wanted to get it
- 14:16Speaker 1: resized as well as as get it a praise. Correct, yes, yes, yes,
- 14:20Speaker 1: and you don't have to tell him to be a
- 14:21Speaker 1: bit on my own. Okay, wow, okay, listen, I actually
- 14:27Speaker 1: do the resize of the ring. And first of all,
- 14:29Speaker 1: let me be the first to say, um, congratulations, when
- 14:33Speaker 1: when is your wedding? Thank you? I'm getting married and
- 14:35Speaker 1: stuff coming there. Well, congratulations to thank you. Listen, I
- 14:38Speaker 1: don't know how to tell you this now. As far
- 14:40Speaker 1: as the appraiser less concern. I've looked at your ring
- 14:43Speaker 1: over and over and this ring is probably worth maybe
- 14:48Speaker 1: fifty dollars. Excuse me, I've been I've been in this
- 14:51Speaker 1: business for over twenty years. But you know what, I'm
- 14:53Speaker 1: confused on what you just seeing. And I understand that.
- 14:55Speaker 1: What I'm trying to explain to you is that I've
- 14:57Speaker 1: been in this business for over twenty years. I've seen
- 14:59Speaker 1: so many different pieces of jewelry and this is something
- 15:02Speaker 1: that you that you buy late night on an infomercial
- 15:05Speaker 1: for nineteen ninety nine. This is a Cubicaconian stones and
- 15:10Speaker 1: the gold is not real at all. It's like, wait, wait,
- 15:14Speaker 1: you lost me. You lost me as much money as
- 15:16Speaker 1: my fans make, and as much money as my father
- 15:19Speaker 1: is putting down on his wedding or has put down.
- 15:22Speaker 1: And you're gonna say, understand everything you're saying, but Denise, honestly,
- 15:26Speaker 1: what I need you to do is hold on. Wait. No,
- 15:29Speaker 1: I need you to hold on because we need to convict.
- 15:31Speaker 1: First of all, I can't wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
- 15:35Speaker 1: hold hold on because I'm trying to say, okay you wait, wait, wait,
- 15:41Speaker 1: what are you trying to what you're trying to do, sir?
- 15:43Speaker 1: I need I need you to repeat because what you
- 15:46Speaker 1: just said to me, okay, I need of personal stuff. Man.
- 15:50Speaker 1: You oh you in it. It's personal now, So I
- 15:53Speaker 1: need you to hold on. Okay, Oh she calling her man. Okay, thing, hello, Viven,
- 16:00Speaker 1: listen to this jeweler that's on the phone. I want
- 16:02Speaker 1: you to hit it. But he just told me what's
- 16:05Speaker 1: the problem. But what you mean, what's the problem. He's
- 16:06Speaker 1: gonna tell you what the problem is. Gonna hit on, sir,
- 16:08Speaker 1: gonna hit on. Who Hello, Yeah, who's this? All right?
- 16:12Speaker 1: My name is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds. And actually your wife,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I mean where your fiance rather, she brought her ring
- 16:18Speaker 1: in to actually be resized. Yeah, and we we also
- 16:22Speaker 1: did an appraisal on the ring for her. And actually
- 16:26Speaker 1: the ring is estimated to be only in the word
- 16:28Speaker 1: to around fifty dollars. Fifty dollars dollars fifty that's what
- 16:33Speaker 1: the man said, dollars, sir. Obviously there's some sort of mistakes, sir. Yeah,
- 16:39Speaker 1: what you got to say about this? Fifty dollars that's
- 16:42Speaker 1: that's got to be some kind of mistakes. And what'd
- 16:44Speaker 1: you say your name was, sir? My name is Gavin.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I work here at Diamonds. I'm the head jeweler here.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I've been here for twenty years. And there's there's no
- 16:51Speaker 1: way that that ring is worth fifty dollars. I know
- 16:53Speaker 1: what I paid for, So obviously there's some sort of mistakes.
- 16:56Speaker 1: There's not a mistake. I've been dealing with jury, I've
- 16:59Speaker 1: seen it. I couldn't pretty much look at a ring,
- 17:01Speaker 1: but I actually went into detail on this one, as
- 17:03Speaker 1: I do all of them, and so I promise you
- 17:06Speaker 1: this is probably maybe between forty and fifty dollars for
- 17:09Speaker 1: his workers. No, absolutely not. That's that's impossible. How is
- 17:13Speaker 1: that impossible? He's a jewel you heard him say. He's
- 17:15Speaker 1: been doing it for twenty he's the highest impossible. I
- 17:18Speaker 1: don't understand that. All the money that my dad putting
- 17:20Speaker 1: down on this wedding and you don't take fifty dollars
- 17:23Speaker 1: you brought a cheap ring. So no, no, no, I
- 17:25Speaker 1: did not buy a team. This is this is this
- 17:28Speaker 1: is obviously some kind of mistake. You can't got it.
- 17:30Speaker 1: You got that right. You show got that right, So
- 17:33Speaker 1: what you got to say for yourself? Do then you can't.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I believe that that's right. That this is obviously some
- 17:39Speaker 1: kind of mistairce. Oh, it is a mistake. I mistake
- 17:41Speaker 1: and thinking I'm gonna get married to the man of
- 17:43Speaker 1: my dream. I do have the engagement ring that was
- 17:45Speaker 1: purchased and bought for your wife. No, I WoT think.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I don't think you do. I don't think you have
- 17:49Speaker 1: my ring, because if you have my ring, you wouldn't
- 17:51Speaker 1: be telling me this works fifty dollars. I have the
- 17:54Speaker 1: ring that your wife brought his wife. Yet hold on,
- 17:58Speaker 1: hold on the man trying to explain, time to get
- 18:00Speaker 1: it about. Okay, thank you, So you have me. I
- 18:03Speaker 1: don't think you have the right ring. I have the
- 18:05Speaker 1: right ring. And what I'm letting you know, sir, is
- 18:07Speaker 1: that this is something you buy on an infomercial in
- 18:10Speaker 1: the two occock in the morning. Dude, you know I
- 18:14Speaker 1: ain't bott a damn ring on infomercial. I bought the
- 18:16Speaker 1: ring from a reputable establishment. I have the receipt, I
- 18:20Speaker 1: have the certificate. So obviously the mistake is on your
- 18:23Speaker 1: and where you're the mistake is not here, sir, you
- 18:25Speaker 1: bought a piece of jump after he's been doing it
- 18:28Speaker 1: all these years. How hell he's gonna make a mistake
- 18:30Speaker 1: where you come off telling me I bought a piece
- 18:33Speaker 1: of jump? I know what I bought. If there's any
- 18:34Speaker 1: mistakes that's been made, it's on your end, where it's
- 18:37Speaker 1: not on my end. Yeah. Don't you want to think
- 18:43Speaker 1: that my dad has had too much money for this wedding?
- 18:46Speaker 1: So your doll onna pay fifty dollars? Wait, I tell
- 18:49Speaker 1: him this, chill hold on. First of all, I don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: appreciate you. I want to tell you this. This is
- 18:54Speaker 1: a typical case of you trying to put it off
- 18:56Speaker 1: on us because you bought for fifty bucks. I'm money.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Did your dons and I get fifty dollars worth of
- 19:02Speaker 1: a ring? Denise? Hold on, let me talk to this.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Where are you going gets? I never heard of it?
- 19:09Speaker 1: So your wife knows exactly where that she's the one
- 19:12Speaker 1: that brought the ring. And I'll tell you what. I'm
- 19:14Speaker 1: gonna come down there to see the ring that you're
- 19:16Speaker 1: talking about. If it's not the ring that I gave
- 19:18Speaker 1: my girl, I'm gonna take seventy six hundred dollars out
- 19:20Speaker 1: of your because that's so. Now you want to jump
- 19:24Speaker 1: on me because you bought your wife a piece. Come on,
- 19:27Speaker 1: and you want to put it on me. You you
- 19:29Speaker 1: don't tell me what the I don't know what the
- 19:31Speaker 1: I spin on the ring and you I don't kind
- 19:33Speaker 1: of trying to pull. First of all, I don't appreciate
- 19:36Speaker 1: you coming to my household trying to mess my and
- 19:38Speaker 1: you want to come to me with this one. I
- 19:39Speaker 1: know the ring gotta be real. No, if I were you,
- 19:42Speaker 1: mister niece, I would not marry somebody that I'm coming.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm looking for your pucket and you know what. You
- 19:49Speaker 1: don't get the ring? It ain't right, man, you're gonna
- 19:51Speaker 1: go at it? Can I say one more thing to
- 19:52Speaker 1: both of you? Are better? I tell you what if
- 19:54Speaker 1: they did? I want to hear me and you gonna
- 19:56Speaker 1: have some more problems. This is Matthew tell me from
- 19:58Speaker 1: the Steve Rvin Morning Show. Y'all just got played by
- 20:02Speaker 1: Denis's system. That that's why she ain't got no man
- 20:10Speaker 1: to wow? Wow? That's how clue time? Are you about
- 20:17Speaker 1: to start with? Wow? I think I'm sorry, baby, I'm sorry,
- 20:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I will make it. What is the baddest
- 20:26Speaker 1: radio show in the Wow, the Steve Harvey Wow all right,
- 20:36Speaker 1: coming up next, it is asked the CLO. With our
- 20:39Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building. Right after this,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 20:47Speaker 1: the top of the hour, and entertainment news Jimmy Kimmel
- 20:50Speaker 1: gets dragged on social media for its performance or lack
- 20:54Speaker 1: thereof Happy Emmys. The Palace staff is already complaining about
- 20:59Speaker 1: their new king, and R. Kelly has been found guilty. Yep, yes,
- 21:03Speaker 1: he's a little demanding the thing. R Kelly has been
- 21:06Speaker 1: found guilty again, this time in Chicago. We'll get to
- 21:11Speaker 1: all of those stories at the top of the hour,
- 21:13Speaker 1: but right now it's time to ask the CLO. All right,
- 21:19Speaker 1: So Vivian and Poria says CLO that my twenty seven
- 21:23Speaker 1: year old son stopped by my house and he didn't call. First.
- 21:26Speaker 1: I was in lingerie and I had company at the
- 21:29Speaker 1: table for breakfast. My son was uncomfortable and asked me
- 21:33Speaker 1: to go put on a rope. I asked him to
- 21:35Speaker 1: come back later and he left. He called to say
- 21:38Speaker 1: he's hurt because I chose a man over him. Was
- 21:42Speaker 1: I wrong? No, No, you did exactly what. You chose
- 21:45Speaker 1: a man over him. He panobells at the house. He
- 21:49Speaker 1: did hit Fryan, no bacon. He's not castrong. He don't
- 21:53Speaker 1: pick you over k you around the room. You know
- 21:56Speaker 1: really that I'm just you know you're grown. You don't
- 22:02Speaker 1: put all your time in raising him that he still
- 22:04Speaker 1: wants some mo Damn baby. Yeah, I told him. He
- 22:08Speaker 1: had told him go put a robe on. You don't
- 22:10Speaker 1: tell you what to do. You told him to leave,
- 22:13Speaker 1: just leave, come back some other time. You chose a
- 22:16Speaker 1: man over me, Yes, and and that choice is gonna
- 22:20Speaker 1: it's gonna be a lot of women gonna pick other
- 22:22Speaker 1: men over you. Get over it, boy, man, my mom
- 22:27Speaker 1: coming by you. You you you cannot, is it Okay?
- 22:31Speaker 1: Now I'm sitting up in some panties with a man.
- 22:33Speaker 1: If you want to come on, you you can come
- 22:39Speaker 1: saying if you called, you might have got the information
- 22:42Speaker 1: without getting the shock of stick of looking at it.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Sitting in here with deep panties on. You can come
- 22:50Speaker 1: on if you want to. But he likes it like this,
- 22:52Speaker 1: So we're gonna have breakfast and coffee. He's sitting up here.
- 22:57Speaker 1: He's sitting up here in some boxes. So come on,
- 23:01Speaker 1: all right, I think we should move on. I love it,
- 23:05Speaker 1: I love it. Uh. This one's from Nita and Richmond.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Nita said, Saturday morning, I was cleaning up and saw
- 23:13Speaker 1: a receipt from a flowers shop. My husband said he
- 23:16Speaker 1: sent his friend a bouquet after her grandmother died. He's
- 23:20Speaker 1: never given me flowers, so I was shocked and jealous.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Is it wrong to be jealous this time? Well, your
- 23:26Speaker 1: grandmama ain't died. Now, when your grandmamma died, you're gonna
- 23:32Speaker 1: get some flowers too. So now that's what he did.
- 23:38Speaker 1: He don't buy you flowers. You don't even even you
- 23:41Speaker 1: ain't asked for no flowers. He just sent her friends
- 23:44Speaker 1: some flowers because her grandmama died. Being thoughtful, that's all
- 23:48Speaker 1: that is. So should she ask for flowers instead of
- 23:52Speaker 1: expecting her husband? If you won't, you know, flowers, I
- 23:59Speaker 1: would say, you know, I would like some flowers every
- 24:01Speaker 1: now and a year. You know, says she's passing out flowers,
- 24:04Speaker 1: but then be sweet about it. Yeah, yeah, but you're
- 24:08Speaker 1: mad because he'dn bought somebody some flowers. She angela, Yeah,
- 24:12Speaker 1: that's what it is. So you some flowers just say
- 24:15Speaker 1: it would have been nice ifotus flows in near way
- 24:17Speaker 1: seeing If he don't get you none after that, and
- 24:19Speaker 1: he waiting on your grandmama today, that's terrible. Moving on
- 24:26Speaker 1: to Porter and Detroit, Porter writes, I'm a twenty eight
- 24:30Speaker 1: year old engaged man and I've never cheated on my fiance.
- 24:33Speaker 1: But the other night, I was out for a drink
- 24:36Speaker 1: and I flirted with a younger woman before I left.
- 24:39Speaker 1: She gave me an oral treat in the bathroom. It's
- 24:43Speaker 1: not cheating if I didn't touch her, right, what, boy, boy,
- 24:48Speaker 1: I wish I wish that was true. What? Oh that
- 24:54Speaker 1: it's not cheating? Yeah? So you think you can do
- 25:00Speaker 1: that and go to heaven? Come on all right? Yeah man,
- 25:05Speaker 1: that's still cheating. Dog, That's what it is. But now
- 25:09Speaker 1: let me help you understand something. Suck. The thing you
- 25:12Speaker 1: have to understand you are going to be faithful faced
- 25:16Speaker 1: with temptation till the day you die. And you will
- 25:23Speaker 1: not escape temptation in this world, sir, it is on
- 25:28Speaker 1: all of us. Women are tempted, men are tempted. It
- 25:32Speaker 1: don't have to just be sexed, but you're gonna be
- 25:35Speaker 1: tempted with something till the day you die. That's the deal.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Now you think, cause you a fiance, and you think
- 25:45Speaker 1: because you're finn to get married, that you still ain't
- 25:47Speaker 1: gonna see somebody. Fine, right, And you think after you
- 25:53Speaker 1: get married, because you're married, you ain't gonna thank she
- 25:56Speaker 1: fine son, Buckle up, hold on tight. It's way more
- 26:02Speaker 1: of that coming hanging a man. Try to remember who
- 26:06Speaker 1: you are, what the end goal is, and do everything
- 26:10Speaker 1: in your power to act like there's an end goal.
- 26:15Speaker 1: It's when we don't keep in mind the end goal
- 26:17Speaker 1: that we react to. Now, yeah, good luck. So resist
- 26:22Speaker 1: the temptation. Huh, Steve, you got try as hard as
- 26:25Speaker 1: you can. You got to resist it. For what an offer?
- 26:30Speaker 1: This was? Wow and boy and boy and boy, and
- 26:38Speaker 1: I will tell you this now, uh huh, all the
- 26:43Speaker 1: way mad at him. I don't know where he went
- 26:45Speaker 1: to get this drink at you probably don't need to
- 26:50Speaker 1: go down there to getting no more drinks. And he's
- 26:53Speaker 1: twenty eighty, said the woman was younger. Okay, Moving on
- 26:57Speaker 1: last one. Steve Destiny and for Lauderdale says, I picked
- 27:01Speaker 1: my daughter up from daycare and there was a new
- 27:04Speaker 1: teacher there. I introduced myself to her and she said,
- 27:07Speaker 1: she knows me because she's dating my daughter's dad. Now
- 27:11Speaker 1: it was like a slap in the face because I
- 27:14Speaker 1: figured he was having sex with other people. I'm in
- 27:17Speaker 1: love with him. How do I move on? Well, obviously, yes,
- 27:23Speaker 1: I know you girl, you're not with him anymore, and
- 27:30Speaker 1: he's moved on and he's dating and lady that's taking
- 27:32Speaker 1: care of the kids. Now you want to know how
- 27:35Speaker 1: to move on, Well, let me help you move on. Now.
- 27:39Speaker 1: The fact that you still love him ain't got nothing
- 27:41Speaker 1: to do with the fact that he has moved on.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Y'all obviously not together, because if y'all was together and
- 27:48Speaker 1: you went up to add this would have been a
- 27:49Speaker 1: whole other thing. Yeah, but she informed you, I know
- 27:56Speaker 1: who you are, Yes, because I'm dating, because I'm I'm
- 28:01Speaker 1: I'm dating uh little Uh door is daddy because you
- 28:08Speaker 1: know the name the mama named Destiny. Yeah, yeahsty dating
- 28:20Speaker 1: door daddy. Yeah. Now you're upset because you still love him.
- 28:25Speaker 1: How do you I move home? Well, you can stay
- 28:28Speaker 1: there if you want to, but he's not there. He's gone.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I don't know how much more help you need and
- 28:35Speaker 1: take Dora, You've abandoned me. Love don't live him anymore. Wow,
- 28:46Speaker 1: all right, Cello, thank you for that coming down Facon Street,
- 28:52Speaker 1: coming up. Love some entertainment, dudes for your you're listening
- 29:01Speaker 1: to Okay, So people have been trolling this year's Emmy
- 29:08Speaker 1: Awards presenter Jimmy Kimbll Kimmel, saying he used his quote
- 29:13Speaker 1: white male privilege when he laid out on the stage
- 29:16Speaker 1: during Quinta Brunson's Emmy acceptance speech. The Emmy was a
- 29:20Speaker 1: historic win for Quinta for her writing on the new
- 29:24Speaker 1: comedy series that We Love Abbot Elementaries Yet such a
- 29:29Speaker 1: good show. Right before Quenta one, actor Will Arnette dragged
- 29:33Speaker 1: Kimmel on stage as part of a comedy bit where
- 29:36Speaker 1: Kimmel was to pretend that he had passed out from
- 29:39Speaker 1: drinking too much alcohol after losing the Emmy for his
- 29:43Speaker 1: Late night show for the thirteenth time in a row.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Instead of getting off the stage and allowing Quinta to
- 29:50Speaker 1: have her moment, Kimmel just stayed on stage. He's just
- 29:53Speaker 1: stretched out on the floor. Brunson tried to move him
- 29:57Speaker 1: by shaking him and saying, Jimmy, wake up. I won,
- 30:01Speaker 1: but he just stayed on the floor with his eyes closed.
- 30:04Speaker 1: He was dragged him on social media accused him of
- 30:08Speaker 1: stealing quinta spotlight. Quinta has addressed the incident and add
- 30:12Speaker 1: a little humor. Take a listen. I know Jimmy Kimmel,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and I don't know. I felt like the bit didn't
- 30:20Speaker 1: bother me that much. I don't know the internet things,
- 30:22Speaker 1: but I don't know. I know him honestly. It was
- 30:26Speaker 1: kind of Jimmy gave me my first like big late
- 30:29Speaker 1: night spot and was one of the first people to
- 30:32Speaker 1: see Avid and one of the first people. He instagram
- 30:35Speaker 1: messaged me that he saw this comedy and thought it
- 30:37Speaker 1: was one of the greatest comedies of all time, and
- 30:40Speaker 1: he was so excited it was going to be on ABC.
- 30:42Speaker 1: So I think in that moment, I was just really
- 30:44Speaker 1: happy that it was that it was Jimmy up there.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I kind of consider him one of the comedy godfathers.
- 30:51Speaker 1: I'm a huge fan of Will Arnett, so I was
- 30:53Speaker 1: wrapped up in the moment. I don't know. Tomorrow, maybe
- 30:55Speaker 1: I'll be mad at him. I'm gonna be on his
- 30:57Speaker 1: show on Wednesday, so I might punch him in the face.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I don't know, we'll see what happens. I love it.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I mean that was pretty cool because, you know what,
- 31:05Speaker 1: I know Jimmy Kimmel personally, man, he's not a spirited guy.
- 31:09Speaker 1: When he took some stuff like that, I think also,
- 31:12Speaker 1: you know, when you do when they started the bit
- 31:14Speaker 1: they don't know who the winner is gonna be right,
- 31:18Speaker 1: that's true. Yeah, it's not like while she was talking,
- 31:21Speaker 1: he walked out there and then laid on the stage
- 31:24Speaker 1: right right. So I don't think he was trying to
- 31:26Speaker 1: intentionally upstage a moment. I don't see it as white
- 31:29Speaker 1: privilege or nothing like that. I see it as a joke,
- 31:32Speaker 1: and the joke, the timing of it gotten the weaver.
- 31:35Speaker 1: But like the girl said, Quinta, don't give a damn
- 31:40Speaker 1: she happy, you know, I mean, Jimmy tells some cool
- 31:43Speaker 1: stuff for her. Yeah, yeah really. And and instead of
- 31:47Speaker 1: being a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Alive again Wednesday night,
- 31:51Speaker 1: Quinta did a takeover of the show. She took it.
- 31:53Speaker 1: She took the show over, and we're happy to report
- 31:57Speaker 1: she didn't punch him in the face. But even if
- 31:59Speaker 1: she did, that would have been funny too. But yeah,
- 32:02Speaker 1: I see the whole thing about Jimmy doing white privilege
- 32:05Speaker 1: that's not what he did. Yeah, but people took it
- 32:08Speaker 1: that way on social ya. Come on, y'all. Yeah, we
- 32:12Speaker 1: don't have to cancel everybody for every everybody. Every No,
- 32:17Speaker 1: she was gonna win. She was up against several people, yea, yeah, yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 1: and that's a comedy bit. I'm gonna lay out here
- 32:26Speaker 1: if I don't win again for the thirteenth time, like anybody,
- 32:30Speaker 1: it didn't matter who won next if it had been
- 32:33Speaker 1: a white person who won, what he had been doing
- 32:36Speaker 1: white privilege, Yeah and right. And her her thing was,
- 32:41Speaker 1: you know, she was happy that she won in the moment.
- 32:44Speaker 1: She was in her moment and comedy too. Yeah she
- 32:48Speaker 1: did ye yeah, you know she said she was kind
- 32:54Speaker 1: of happy he was up there because he gave her
- 32:55Speaker 1: first break. He's a really cool guy. Commed. You can't
- 32:58Speaker 1: do nothing in comedy, no moment, right, everybody being offended. Man,
- 33:02Speaker 1: y'all relax. Not a new rake is Jimmy Kimmel, but
- 33:07Speaker 1: standing on stage, I mean, come on, man, come on, yeah,
- 33:10Speaker 1: all right, we're moving on, Steve. We know that the
- 33:14Speaker 1: queen hasn't even been laid to rest, and the palace
- 33:18Speaker 1: staff is already complaining about King Charles's outrageous list of
- 33:23Speaker 1: daily demands. Okay, According to a former butler to Queen
- 33:27Speaker 1: Elizabeth and Princess Diana, the king demands that his pajamas
- 33:31Speaker 1: are pressed daily. Wait listen, his shoelaces are pressed with
- 33:37Speaker 1: a black iron with an iron the bathplug. The bathplug
- 33:43Speaker 1: has to be in a certain position, and the water
- 33:47Speaker 1: temperature has to be just tapp it tappe in a
- 33:50Speaker 1: bathtub filled only half full. The king also has his
- 33:54Speaker 1: valet squeeze one inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush every
- 33:59Speaker 1: morning heil where come on key. According to staffords, the
- 34:03Speaker 1: king also sends a van of his possessions ahead of
- 34:06Speaker 1: his arrival when he travels so he can have his
- 34:09Speaker 1: own bed, his own furniture and pictures in his room,
- 34:13Speaker 1: and he reportedly takes his own toilet seat and clean
- 34:16Speaker 1: a velvet toilet paper. Velvet toilet paper, you better be key,
- 34:22Speaker 1: you better do it. So I'm wiping my butt with
- 34:27Speaker 1: velvet toiletician. And if you keep on, you're gonna be
- 34:31Speaker 1: in here doing it. That reports something mess that I do,
- 34:35Speaker 1: and you gonna get the job of wiping me for
- 34:38Speaker 1: your on. Sen Kyle's been waiting to be keyed for
- 34:41Speaker 1: long ass time. Toyle's apport Hill. When I'm keying, y'all
- 34:49Speaker 1: gonna get out any damn shoelacer. I won't even jama
- 34:52Speaker 1: pressed out right here. I wont one kitch or toothpaste.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Oh my damn too. Put in your half on and
- 34:58Speaker 1: see what him put three cards of See what happened?
- 35:01Speaker 1: I want one inch on? And where is my bare
- 35:04Speaker 1: a tarletitian damn it. I've been king long enough for
- 35:08Speaker 1: y'all to notice now the game for two days. I've
- 35:12Speaker 1: been king two damn days. Bring another shoe lace in
- 35:15Speaker 1: here today nine and put him into shoes while I
- 35:17Speaker 1: can see you your grace. He calls where I want
- 35:26Speaker 1: a new tallest seat every time I sit in my
- 35:29Speaker 1: ass on it. It's my furniture, my pictures, all of
- 35:32Speaker 1: that coming up in twenty minutes after we'll talk about
- 35:37Speaker 1: early birds. People who get up early, say right after this, earl,
- 35:43Speaker 1: people who get up early, right after this you're listening show.
- 35:50Speaker 1: People who get up early, like us are happier and
- 35:54Speaker 1: mentally stronger than those who stay up late and sleep.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Then that's according to a University of Pittsburgh study. Now
- 36:01Speaker 1: this is especially true of older adults. The research found
- 36:05Speaker 1: that people who get up early are able to stay
- 36:07Speaker 1: active during the day, They're happier, and they get more
- 36:11Speaker 1: done daily. So to you, Steve, I asked the question,
- 36:15Speaker 1: why is it important for you to wake up early?
- 36:17Speaker 1: We know you have to be at work, but um,
- 36:19Speaker 1: do you feel bad when you're oversleep? Do you feel
- 36:22Speaker 1: a certain way? If yeah, I meant an age, Well,
- 36:25Speaker 1: I don't want to miss nothing. And sunrise is such
- 36:30Speaker 1: a special part of the day. It's like, even when
- 36:33Speaker 1: I'm doing the radio show nine, we have to zoom
- 36:36Speaker 1: because COVID changed everything, right, that's right, so we steal
- 36:40Speaker 1: not together, we steal zoom and doing our radio show. Yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 1: I got all the shades in my studio up waiting
- 36:48Speaker 1: for the sun sunrise favorite. That was a moment cool
- 36:59Speaker 1: whoa o me. Yeah, when I feel I can't go,
- 37:03Speaker 1: oh you come in. Oh everything in my life got
- 37:08Speaker 1: a song connected to early to start singing early rises
- 37:14Speaker 1: are smart people. They're go getting me and you can
- 37:17Speaker 1: turn yourself into that. I think the tragic mistake we
- 37:21Speaker 1: have is when people say I'm not a morning person.
- 37:25Speaker 1: That like really bothers me. When I heard here people
- 37:28Speaker 1: say that as so many people put that claim on
- 37:31Speaker 1: their life. I'm just not a morning person. That's sad
- 37:36Speaker 1: because the goal is to see morning every day hello,
- 37:42Speaker 1: and when it gets here, for you not to want it,
- 37:46Speaker 1: it's counter to everything you could be. It could be
- 37:50Speaker 1: one of the reasons your life is not in a
- 37:53Speaker 1: position that you wanted to be. I'm gonna tell you
- 37:55Speaker 1: right now, I don't know any truly successful people who
- 37:59Speaker 1: are not morning people, because I don't know how you
- 38:02Speaker 1: start your day with that as the mindset. I'm not
- 38:06Speaker 1: a morning day. You immediately erase the chance to show
- 38:11Speaker 1: gratitude for waking up because you you mad because it's morning,
- 38:16Speaker 1: so they get up and get it. Successful people are
- 38:18Speaker 1: up early, getting it made, and they show a form
- 38:21Speaker 1: of gratitude. When you are not a morning person, you
- 38:25Speaker 1: throw away the moment of gratitude for morning coming. If
- 38:29Speaker 1: you work great yard Ship twelve midnight day in the morning,
- 38:34Speaker 1: obviously this don't apply to you, right, or if you're
- 38:37Speaker 1: you're still working yeah, yeah, I mean, of course this
- 38:39Speaker 1: don't apply to you. But the average person don't work
- 38:43Speaker 1: grave yard Ship all right? Coming up at thirty four
- 38:46Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. A nursing home thought that hiring
- 38:49Speaker 1: a stripper would be great entertainment for its residence. We'll
- 38:53Speaker 1: find out what happened right after this You're listening show,
- 39:00Speaker 1: A nursing home for retired army veterans in Taiwan was
- 39:04Speaker 1: forced to apologize for hiring a stripper to perform for
- 39:08Speaker 1: its elderly male resident. The stripper was hired as entertainment
- 39:11Speaker 1: for the center's mid Autumn festival, which is a big
- 39:15Speaker 1: celebration in the Chinese culture. A resident posted a video
- 39:18Speaker 1: of the stripper's performance on his Facebook page and it
- 39:21Speaker 1: went viral. The stripper had on a mask and some
- 39:24Speaker 1: lacy lingerie and was giving an elderly man a lap
- 39:28Speaker 1: dance in a wheelchair while thrusting her breast in his space.
- 39:33Speaker 1: The man was groping the woman as she danced on him,
- 39:36Speaker 1: and other elderly residents were clapping along to the music
- 39:40Speaker 1: enthusiastically the Senior Center. The Senior Center received a lot
- 39:46Speaker 1: of backlash and ultimately issued a statement quote, the intention
- 39:49Speaker 1: of the event was to entertain residents and make them happy.
- 39:53Speaker 1: We are very sorry for the event for the offense.
- 39:56Speaker 1: This has caused the paused y'all on Facebook because all
- 40:05Speaker 1: the male residents was in there the time of their life. Yeah,
- 40:12Speaker 1: that's just bad. These wonder playing pantis on suld have
- 40:15Speaker 1: been giving me a lap. Damn girl, come on, got
- 40:19Speaker 1: your breast in my face. I didn't think I'd ever
- 40:23Speaker 1: see this day again. It let them live, man. The

- 42:31Speaker 1: We do what we want to do that here and

- 45:00Speaker 1: them and there's actually a kind of recall. Uh, this
- 45:04Speaker 1: was a credit card transaction. So we're trying our best

- 53:13Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 53:17Speaker 1: gonna read this one right here, right now. You never know,
- 53:20Speaker 1: it could be yours Strawberry letter that Steve there, you
- 53:32Speaker 1: go share you I cannot with him subject I went
- 53:36Speaker 1: back to the streets too soon. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm
- 53:39Speaker 1: a thirty one year old single female and I just
- 53:41Speaker 1: broke up with my boyfriend after two years of dating.
- 53:45Speaker 1: I gave him all I could in our two years
- 53:47Speaker 1: of dating, and he didn't show up for me in
- 53:49Speaker 1: a way that proved to me that he wanted to
- 53:51Speaker 1: get married. He kept on going to the club and
- 53:54Speaker 1: hanging out in the strip club. I couldn't get him
- 53:57Speaker 1: to spend time with me on the weekends and I
- 53:59Speaker 1: was done with for his attention. A week after we
- 54:02Speaker 1: broke up, I had a party in a private room
- 54:05Speaker 1: at a hookah lounge. He popped up and had a
- 54:07Speaker 1: problem with me being out so soon there was a
- 54:11Speaker 1: life size picture of me in a corner with the
- 54:14Speaker 1: words back to the Streets on it. This is what
- 54:18Speaker 1: he was most offended by. He told me that he
- 54:21Speaker 1: had hopes of us getting back together, but this showed
- 54:24Speaker 1: him that I was really done with him. I was
- 54:26Speaker 1: tipsy and happy that he happened to come to the
- 54:29Speaker 1: club that night and saw me celebrating being free from
- 54:32Speaker 1: a dead end relationship. A few days after that, his
- 54:37Speaker 1: mother called me and said that her son, my ex boyfriend,
- 54:41Speaker 1: felt some kind of way about me celebrating our breakup.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I was respectful to his mother, but I felt justified
- 54:48Speaker 1: in my actions. Now, a few months later, I do
- 54:52Speaker 1: feel bad about claiming the streets, since nothing is in
- 54:55Speaker 1: the streets and men really don't want to commit to
- 54:57Speaker 1: women nowadays. I called to Apolo gize for embarrassing him,
- 55:01Speaker 1: and he wasn't trying to hear it. I told him
- 55:04Speaker 1: that I was willing to be patient with him, and
- 55:06Speaker 1: he said he's no longer interested. My mom said, he's
- 55:09Speaker 1: using my back to the Streets party as a way
- 55:12Speaker 1: out because he never because he wasn't ever planning to
- 55:16Speaker 1: make me a priority, and he was going to string
- 55:20Speaker 1: me along for a long time is my mom? Right?
- 55:23Speaker 1: Should I stop asking him to come back? What? Yes,
- 55:27Speaker 1: you should stop asking him to come back. He told
- 55:30Speaker 1: you he was no longer interested. You felt justified in
- 55:34Speaker 1: your actions. You wanted to leave this dead in relationship.
- 55:38Speaker 1: What has happened? Yes, listen to your mom. Leave that
- 55:42Speaker 1: man along. You were out, you were free and clear,
- 55:45Speaker 1: you were happy. Now you're feeling guilty and feeling sorry
- 55:49Speaker 1: for him. Believe me, that's all it is. His ego
- 55:52Speaker 1: wants you back, just to say, or at that time, anyway,
- 55:56Speaker 1: just to say he could get you back if you
- 55:58Speaker 1: go back. He'll only do the same thing to you.
- 56:01Speaker 1: But remember he said he's not interested. He hasn't changed.
- 56:06Speaker 1: You're on your own and your own. Mom said that
- 56:09Speaker 1: he was never planning to make you a priority. Believe her.
- 56:12Speaker 1: He showed you in his actions. All he wants is revenge.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Right now, you have to remember why you left him
- 56:18Speaker 1: in the first place. Remember what you said in the letter.
- 56:21Speaker 1: He spent all of his time at the strip club.
- 56:23Speaker 1: He had no time for you, especially on the weekends.
- 56:27Speaker 1: He did this for two whole years. So please wake up.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Don't fall back into that old pattern you were in
- 56:33Speaker 1: with him. You were constantly fighting for his attention. Just
- 56:36Speaker 1: go on with your life. Forget him. He is no
- 56:39Speaker 1: longer worth your time. You're still worried about him and
- 56:44Speaker 1: what he's doing. You won't have time to meet someone new, Okay,
- 56:47Speaker 1: so let him go by Steve. Wow. Easy letter to do, Shell,
- 56:54Speaker 1: easy letter to do. Yeah, I went back to the
- 56:57Speaker 1: streets too soon. My response to that time, Liz, No,
- 57:01Speaker 1: you didn't. It's real easy. It's just amazing. I love
- 57:05Speaker 1: the way men switch it, flip it. I love it.
- 57:10Speaker 1: But it's even more amazing how when a woman allows it.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Because of your kind heart and always trying to fix
- 57:19Speaker 1: men and heal everybody, but shoot, you wind up being
- 57:24Speaker 1: the most injured all the time. If women focused on
- 57:30Speaker 1: fixing themselves like they focused on fixing others, that would
- 57:34Speaker 1: be less damaged women in the world. Man, don't let
- 57:39Speaker 1: a man tell you twice he don't want you. What
- 57:43Speaker 1: is wrong with this? Now? You're thirty one year a
- 57:46Speaker 1: single female. You broke up with your boyfriend up two
- 57:49Speaker 1: years a day. So for two years, what did he do?
- 57:52Speaker 1: You gave him all you could for two years a day.
- 57:55Speaker 1: He didn't show up for me in a way to
- 57:57Speaker 1: prove that he wanted to keep him getting married, kept
- 58:00Speaker 1: going to the club, kept hanging out that strip club,
- 58:04Speaker 1: couldn't get him to spend time with you on the weekend,
- 58:07Speaker 1: and I was done with fighting for his attention. It
- 58:11Speaker 1: took you two years to come to this, but you
- 58:15Speaker 1: did it in congratulations. A week after we broke up,
- 58:20Speaker 1: one week you had a party in a private room
- 58:25Speaker 1: at a Hookah Lowns. He popped up and had a
- 58:29Speaker 1: problem with me being out so soon. How could you
- 58:35Speaker 1: get over me so quickly? Well, I've had two years
- 58:40Speaker 1: to get over you. You ain't been coming here on
- 58:44Speaker 1: the weekends. Now I'm throwing the private party in the
- 58:48Speaker 1: private room at the Hooka Lowns on week end night.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Now you're on a weekend. You're available now you know
- 58:54Speaker 1: that was a life size picture of me in a
- 58:57Speaker 1: corner with the words back to the streets. Okay, cool,
- 59:03Speaker 1: great affirmation, positivity, funny, back to the street. That is
- 59:12Speaker 1: what he was most offended by. You know why he
- 59:15Speaker 1: was most offended by because he from the street. He
- 59:18Speaker 1: in the street, He know what's in the street, because
- 59:21Speaker 1: he out there in him. He told me he had
- 59:24Speaker 1: hope of us getting back together. But this showed me
- 59:27Speaker 1: that I was really done with him. Yeah, yeah, And
- 59:31Speaker 1: we wasn't really together though, right, we don't get back together,
- 59:35Speaker 1: so you can ignore me for two more years. All right,
- 59:40Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, we'll have part two of your response
- 59:43Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour today
- 59:46Speaker 1: Strawberry letter, subject I went back to the streets too soon.
- 59:50Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 59:56Speaker 1: all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 59:59Speaker 1: The subject is I went back to the streets too soon. Well,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: you didn't. Thirty one year old, you dated a boy
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: for two years. You gave him everything you could for
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: two years. He stayed in the streets, kept going the clubs,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: kept going to strip clubs, and never wanted to spend
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: time with you. On the weekends. You couldn't get him
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: to spend time with you, and you was done with
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: fighting for his attention. Then a week after y'all broke up,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: you threw a party in the Pride Room matter who
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: can lounge had a big picture of yourself up in
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the corner, says back to the street. He popped up
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: which he ain't been popping up on weekends where his
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: ass come. He popped up at the party, and then
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: he said he couldn't believe he had a hope that
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: you always gonna get back together, but this showed him
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: that I was really done with him. He didn't say
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I was wanting to be committed to you, that I
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: wanted to treat you right. Finally, all he said was
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I want to get back together with you, And all
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: that means is I'm gonna continue to treat you to
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I've been treating you, and I just want now you
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: to be able to accept it more. I was tipsy
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: and happy that he happened to come to the club
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: that night and saw me celebrating free from a daddy relationship.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: And the reason you was happy and admitting it, it's
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: because you was tipsy. You probably need to get tipsy
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: a little more often then, because if that makes you
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: see what it is, better than go ahead. A few
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: days after that, his mama called me and said that
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: her son, my ex boyfriend, felt some kind of way
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: about me celebrating now break up. I was respectful to
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: his mother, but I felt justified in my action right
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: and you were. But his mama called and said her
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: son felt sometimes so right, So now everybody around him
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: got the call on him. You got to call on him.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: His damn mammy got to call you, tell her he's
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: feeling some kind of way. Give a damn damned by
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: chill mammy calling me. Stop saying that your ragged ass
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: some Why don't you ask him why we broke up?
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Calling me telling ow he's feeling some kind of way
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: about celebrating our break up. Hen we couldn't celebrate the relationship,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: might as well celebrate the break up now a few
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: months later, I do feel bad about claiming. The street
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: says nothing is in the street, and men really don't
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: want to commit to women nowadays. You had one who
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: was in the streets who didn't want to commit to
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you nowadays or none of the entire two years. I
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: called to apologize for embassing him, and he wasn't trying
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: to hear it. Man, this dude is manipulator at the
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: highest level right here. He is a manipulator. So now
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: he gonna he gonna make you crawl? How are you
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: sure you ain't gotta apologize for a damn thing in
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: bassing Hill. First of all, you didn't invite him to
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: the party, right he popped up and saw you back
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: in the street sign. Yeah, my mother said he's using
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: my back to the Street party as a way out
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: because he wasn't ever planning to make me a pride
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and he was gonna string me along for another for
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: a long time. Is my mom right? Your mother is
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: one thousand percent? Yes? Oh, but I got news from here.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Should I stop asking him to come back now? You
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: need to stop being stupid, ask him to come back
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: to do what you didn't like the two years you
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: had with him. You want a relationship with a man
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: to stay in the club, to go to strip clubs
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: and don't spend time with you on the weekend. You
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: want that for what? Do I stop being? Stop being stupid?
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: He wants you back to continue to going along with
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: what you've been going along with, and this time he
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: gonna do even more. You be a fool to go
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: back to this manipulate now. He is my best point
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: for you. His mama called and told you her son
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: was hurt and felt some kind of way about you
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: celebrating y'all's breakup. Yo. Mama called and said he's using
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: your back to the Street party as a way out,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: and he was never planning to make your broad and
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: he was gonna strain you alone for a long time. Now,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: you had two different calls from two different mamas. One
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: of the mothers only has her son's interests at hallt yeah,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: and one of the mothers has his her daughter's interests
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: at heart. Which one sound better than your right, Let's
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: see which one sound better to you? Two mothers called you?
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Which one of these mothers called you on yobi head? Yeah?
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: You know what if hum, if this boy's mama was real, right?
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: You know what she just said. You know what, I
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: know Deontay ain't been doing you right. And I know
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Deontay has made some mistake, but I think he might
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: have come to his sense. And you know he you
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: a beautiful girl, and I love being around you. Just
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: talk with him and see maybe if he didn't grow
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: up behind this because Deontay just sitting around moping, he
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: ain't been the same. That's what the phone call that
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: could have made sense to you, right, But this other
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: phone call she made quit taking his health was call,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: but he himself talk and say tell your mammy, don't
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: call me no damn mo o love it or better yet? Yeah,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: your mama Deontay Mama number Leave Leave leaves your comments

- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Coming up next, Pregnant Abbe de LaRosa defends her polyamorous
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: relationship with Nick Cannon. Oh really, we'll find out what
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: that's all about right after this. You're listening Day Morning show. Okay, So,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Abbe de la Rosa. In case you don't know her,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: she's one of Nick Cannon's mini baby mamas. Well, she
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: describes her relationship with Nick Cannon as polyamorous. Dela Rosa
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: shares twins Zion and Zillion with Nick Cannon. Do you
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: know you have more than one love? You're in more
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: than one love relationship sharing? Its yeah, poly meaning for
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: than one. They share twins together, and she's pregnant with
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: their third child now. On a recent episode of Lovers
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: and Friends podcast, Da Rosa said that being polyamorous doesn't
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: mean that you have low self esteem or self worth,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: and despite Nick Cannon being her quote primary partner, she
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: sees monogamy for herself. Down the line, she added, I
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: love where I'm at at this very moment. It's just
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: not my forever. Last week, Nick Cannon brought bought forty
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: one year old dal La Rosa and they're twins home.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: He brought them a home in La. So she's saying, she,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: you know a lot of people think when you're in
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: these kind of you know, these poly relationships like this,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: that you're in it because you have low self esteem,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: or you don't value yourself, no self worth, all of that.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: But she's saying that's not it's with the situation. Yeah,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: she's sang at this very moment, she said, she's cool
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: with it for now. It's just not her forever. But
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: if it's so fully, yeah, she's forty one, she just
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: got a new home from Nick Cannon. Youre ain't never
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: been nobody else's forever. I don't know what you're waiting on.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: M What are you saying? Clock is ticket? So what
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: you're saying because she's saying this is not her forever?
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: But well, let me explaining, Well, your actions defy your words.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Ye see, if this is not your forever, do you
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: understand that you have to do things that bring about
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: your forever and if what you're doing right now it's forever,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: the same producing them forever, same results, then what you
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: think you're forever fitting to look like? Yeah, because if
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: you're doing nothing to be monogamous, but now all of
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: a sudden you want So what day is it that
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: you get to pick where your life changes to be
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: just the way you wanted to do. Man, when you've
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: done no prior practice of the lifestyle you want, you
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: just don't pick up and say, you know what, I'm
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: no longer thus today. But now you got to find
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: somebody who want to put up with that, because everybody
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: else right now, right now, it's proofed that you want
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: to be polyamo or whatever it is, polyamorous. So you
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: know you poly for forty one year, now you want
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: to be money like it? All right, we'll talk about
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: living with a neat freak and what couples argue about
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: the most. When we come back at the top of
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening to show. So
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: being married or sharing a home with someone can be
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: really hard. We know that, especially if you or your
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: partner is a neat freak. So it comes as no
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: surprise that the biggest arguments among couples who live together
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: center around housework. For instance, not putting the dishes away,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: leaving the lights on, lee getting the toilet seat up.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: These are the three biggest complaints. Even worse one and
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: four people say their partners starts the housework but then
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: walks away without ever finishing it. What is going on here? So?
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: So um, I'm gonna ask you first, Carla, because I
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: think we know the Steve's answer. But do you who's
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: a neat freak in your house? You were tash, both
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: of us really neat freak. So thank you, So Steve,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: who do you clean up after yourself? I wish the
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: hell I would. I knew it, it was all these
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: people didn't here phone, So let me ask you also, people,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I like to buy all the day groceries to you.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: I hey you, and then I got to clean up
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: what I ate. But I don't want to work to
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: buy all the day of groceries. So create the dirty dish.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Then I'll pay you to do the dishes. Then I'm
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: gonna clean up dishes. I wish the hell I would
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: wash yourself. That's what I'm saying, not to when you eat,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: wait wait wait, but when you eat, go ahead, go ahead.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I just want your friends. Yeah, when you eat, they
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: you know when you eat your dinner and all that,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: you don't take your plate and put in the sink.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Or when I eat my dinner, I get up from
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: table and go do something else. There's a sink right there.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Just put your play it is. It is right there,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and there's a person somewhere around here too. Next question,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: you pick up behind yourself in the bathroom and all that.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Put your stuff in the dirty clothes. Take my clothes off, yes,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: lay them in the flow. I get in the shop,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I shower, I take my used wash cloth, lay it
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: in the floor. I get out, I get my towel,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: I dry off. I lay my towel in the floor.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I walked my neck and ass cross my bedroom over
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: to my closet and put something warm on. Yeah. When
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I go to bed that night, I take it off,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: lay it by the bed. I climb in the bed
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: because I sleep neked. I wake up in the morning,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: go into my bedroom and brush my teeth. I can
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: still see that stuff in the floor from last night.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: I still see them closed by the bed. This morning,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: I walked right into my closet, I put some new
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: stuff on, and I come to the studio. Okay, when
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I get off not to see none of that stuff.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Oh okay, uh huh. So you brush your teeth, you
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: put the toothpaste up and all of that right, put
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: your yeah, you put it back. I put the cat
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: back on the toothpaste because I don't like that little
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: crust to be over. Yeah. Yeah, okay, well okay something. Yeah,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: but that's it. Putting the tooth brush back and all that. Yeah,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: the counter, No, my tooth brush stands up because it's electric.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Let me ask you, so, so do you have velvet
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: toilet paper like we did a story earlier, though, I
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: have total toilets uh huh, the total toilets. H the
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: warm seat okay, I've heard of those. The washers, uh huh,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: and the dryers. Oh they oh oh oh so what Carla, Oh,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I just had a question. But we ran out of time. Yeah,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: we ran out of I thought you said my favorite thing.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: You're a boy. All right, we'll be back with more
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: of a stew drive booty. Yeah, coming up in twenty
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll have more of the Steve
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show, so you know we've all been on
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: a flight with a baby that cries the entire time.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: We've all been there. So what if you could pay
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: extra to take an adult's only flight? Would you pay
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: the up charge? A travel blogger brought up the idea
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: in a recent TikTok after a child cried for an
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: entire three hour flight. Some of the parents on TikTok
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: said they prefer not to travel with their own children. So, Steve,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: would you prefer to fly without children? Mainly small babies
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: that cry on a flight? I mean, you don't have
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: that issue. But yeah, but all the years I've flown,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: I've had a couple of incidents with kids. But like,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: if your baby back that crime, I know how to
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: shut his ass out. I don't even hear. I put
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: my headphones on, I look out the window and block
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: his ass out. You got to understand, I'm on my
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: third marriage. I know how not to listen. And if
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: you have children yet, I've had a grown ass woman
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: in my face talking to me and I ain't hear
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: damn thing she said. I'm talking about talking to me
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: just as crazy now just I don't won't give it. Damn.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I'll be looking dead at her ass. Think you're listening. Yeah,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: then bending blocked her out. But you know what too,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: as a parent, when you're on the sight, it doesn't
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: bother me because it ain't my kid. But you know what,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: I feel sorry for the child because a lot of
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: times it's that cabin pressure and they crying for three
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: hours because they are in a world of miss That's right,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: that's sorry. Nothing you can do, all right? Coming up
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll play a
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: round of would you rather? Right after this you're listening
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: to show? All right, it is time now to play
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: a round I would you rather? Would you rather Steve
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Harvey go yachting for a year all by yourself? Or
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: would you rather all of your kids move back in
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: your house? Are you ready for all your kids to
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: move back in go yachting all by yourself? You took
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: on the boat alone. Hell no, I don't bring them
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: kids on back and get the hell out of this office,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: all right? Would you rather have smelly feet, stinky feet?
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Or a continuous running nose? Some shoes? I don't had
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: that before. Anything stink here? Yeah, I don't pull my
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: shoes off before. And I've had to lead a room
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: your own and the feat was they came with me.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Would you rather jet ski in the ocean or parisale
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: parasale over the ocean? No? E, so you rather jet
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: ski in the ocean, because if that chord break, I've
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: seen it. Oh, I've seen the chord come loose. I
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: don't know. I come off and they ask her just
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: up in there, and they slowly came on down, felling
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: that damn water, that pair of shoes on top. No,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: hell no, But they could swim like that's on. Oh no,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: hell no, I'm not. I ain't never doing that. Yes,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: that I have what you call get back. Yeah, I
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: could swear good enough to get back up on whatever
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: I fell off of, because I damn I can swim
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: just enough to get back on whatever the hell at
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: nap I'm on the middle of ocean. I'm in trouble
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: man survival, Yeah, I'm in trouble. Yeah, all right. Um,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: would you rather go back to age forty five for
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: a week or would you rather go back to age
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: twenty five for a week? Forty five? Who what was
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: happening in forty five thin and debauchery four years ago?
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: You're yes, the lord that was the man. Let me
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: say something from forty three to forty eight. Whoa a
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: f a year run right there? Epic? So you'd rather
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: go back to forty five? Why not twenty five? Hell no?
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: And hand that. No, Brandy Corlly was born, I had nothing. No,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Lord Jesus, No, we're not doing that. All right, that's
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: today's rounded. Would you rather coming up? It is our
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: last break of the day and at forty nine minutes
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll get some closing remarks from the
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey right after this you're listening show.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: the day. This is our last break of the week
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: on this Friday. It's been a great week. Yeah, we're
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: holding it down. Hey, guys, I got some clothing remarks today.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: All right, let's have and it's kind of like a
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: little bit of reflection. But in the reflection, there's been
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: a lot of teaching moments I've had. We were kind
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: of talking about it on the radio on a commercial break,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: and I was telling the ladies that in two thousand
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: and five, when I was forty eight years old, it
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: was one of the most pivotable, pivotal years of my
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: life because I had lost in gained everything in the
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: same year I had lost everything in two thousand and five.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Two thousand and five started with the announcement that the
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: radio showed that Shirley and I ran and the top
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: morning show in the country one hundred point three to beat,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: didn't want me to do radio anymore, and so they
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: had told me that they were going to get rid
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: of me. I said, if you do, I'm going to
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: expose you publicly for all you've done, calling yourself black
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: radio being ran by certain people. And I was going
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: to expose you. So I said, now you're not gonna
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: put me off. I'm a walk off. And so they said,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: well when will that be? I said in May. So
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: for six months, five months from January to May, I
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: knew it was the end of my radio career. But
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: a woman that worked for Radio one told me, I
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: will make sure that you never work in radio again.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: She told me point blank, I am going to ruin you.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: And I was just looking at her like, really, that's amazing.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: But but she didn't know what. I had heard that
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: from a woman before, so I wasn't new to me.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: So when May twenty third came, I had planned my
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: exit from the radio and we were calling it Black Friday.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Everybody in the city of Los Angeles wore black that day.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: When I walked in to work, what I was surprised
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: was that everybody at the on the floor, all the salespeople,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: and everybody wore black. That people were double parked outside,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: and over three thousand people had came and gathered around
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: the radio studio that morning, and the ticket police came
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: up and said, since it's Black Friday, the honor Stephen
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry, We're not going to give away any tickets today.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: That prop people had came and set up caskets with radios,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: and I'm talking about one hundred point three to Beat
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: is dead now. Little did I know, but on May fifth,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: I also got the phone call that Steve Harvey's Big
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Time was being canceled on the WB So what I
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: had planned for the twenty third, I didn't know that
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: on the fifth I would lose my TV show and
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: my radio show all at the same time. And in
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: November I was getting a divorce. I had lost everything.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Something had happened and somebody had stolen all my money.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: I had no money, no TV show, no radio show,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: and no marriage. All in two thousand and five. But
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: in that same moment of failure and demise and everything
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: going right, I gained everything. That year, I gained three things.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I gained my freedom, I gained the syndicated radio show,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: which is now the number one radio show in the
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: world in morning drive adult contemporary. And I gained a
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: wife named Margie. We didn't get married in two thousand
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: and five, but I met again in two thousand and five.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: So in the middle of losing everything, because I never
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: wavered in my belief that God is able, in the
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: middle of losing everything, I gained it all. My lesson
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: for you that I'm sharing with you in the middle
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: of losing everything, in the middle of it all going wrong,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: just hold on and keep the faith because you don't
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: know what God has in mind. But if your focus
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: is purely on the loss, sometimes you overlooked the game. Now.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: When I had planned to exit radio on May twenty third,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Black Friday, little did I know I was gonna lose
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: my TV show on May fifth. I already knew that
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: divorce was in process, but it was gonna come in
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: no vom and that in that divorce at the end
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: of two thousand and five, I had one thousand, seven
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: hundred dollars. I had made millions. But I didn't know
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: what God was planet. I didn't know what God had
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: in store for me. I just believe that he wouldn't
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: leave me like this. I even said it to him. God,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: I can't believe all this is happening. Man, I told
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: you I was leaving radio only twenty third. But how
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: you let them take my show? Now I'm getting this
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: divorce and I'm losing everything. Man, God, what's up? He says?
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: Since still, I'm gonna show you what's up? So the
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: deal got cut for the syndicated show with Our Heart
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: and New York WBLS. And I have four stations, four cities.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: They told me, if you have twenty five cities in
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: three years, you'll be considered a success. We had sixty
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: some cities in three years. We got over a hundred markets.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Now I've got the chick of my dreams. Do you
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: know after two thousand and five? What had happened to me?
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: You know? On TV shows I've been on since then,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: after they took that one show off to WB. A
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: matter of fact, that WB don't even exist no more.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: And one hundred point three to beat, ain't ever been
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: the same since then. And that lady that they hired,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: it's gone. And the lady that told me she would
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: ruin me, she gone. You don't even know her name
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: no more. All in the middle of failure. And I
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: ain't telling you to brag. I'm bragging on him. I'm
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: bragging on God. I'm bragging on faith. I'm bragging on
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: when it looked like it's dog. You have no idea
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: God of color switching to be so much light in
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: your life. You to be blinded, staying there when it's
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: going wrong, hanging there when it's going wrong, because that God, you, sir,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: he could make it right. Those are my clothing remarks
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: that'll be good today. Talk to God today, love to
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: hear from me. Have a great weekend. For all Steve
